- 0:34Speaker 1: ten years ago. I'm mad at breath because I'm so excited. Right,

- 0:52Speaker 1: I just think that's such a fitting news name. I

- 1:42Speaker 1: podcast world, and I'd appreciate it if you're able to,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and if you wanted to. Now. Finally, today, amidst all
- 1:50Speaker 1: his excitement, I have to say what I thought found
- 1:56Speaker 1: on Friday night was so exciting because Lloyd Austin, yes
- 2:01Speaker 1: Lloyd Austin, the Defense Secretary, named names in this plead trial,
- 2:07Speaker 1: a plea deal agreement fiasco. I came to the other
- 2:11Speaker 1: day saying, you know, remember how we made a plea
- 2:14Speaker 1: deal with terrorists, the masterminds of nine to eleven. Well,
- 2:17Speaker 1: the other night, late Friday, it was breaking that this
- 2:20Speaker 1: is that was going to be reversed. And in this
- 2:25Speaker 1: letter from Lloyd Austin to the public and specifically to
- 2:38Speaker 1: one Susan Escalier E s C A L l I R.
- 2:44Speaker 1: The Convening Authority for Military Commissions, she wrote. He wrote
- 2:48Speaker 1: to her, I am determined that in lighted the significance
- 2:52Speaker 1: of the decision to enter into pre trial agreements with
- 2:55Speaker 1: the accused in the above reference case. Authority to enter
- 2:59Speaker 1: pre trilier groom in the United States first collegiate Muhammad
- 3:03Speaker 1: at the United States versus college check Mohammad for the
- 3:05Speaker 1: United States versus while in Mohammed Sali. Yeah, you know
- 3:09Speaker 1: the list goes on. Responsibility for such a decision should
- 3:13Speaker 1: rest with me, as a superior convening authority under the
- 3:17Speaker 1: Military Commissions Act of two thousand and nine, fifteen years ago,
- 3:21Speaker 1: effective immediately, I hereby withdraw your authority in the above
- 3:25Speaker 1: reference case to enter into a pre trial agreement and
- 3:29Speaker 1: reserve such authority to myself. I hereby withdraw from the
- 3:34Speaker 1: pre trial agreements that you signed on July thirty first,
- 3:37Speaker 1: twenty twenty four in the above reference case. So this
- 3:41Speaker 1: was not just released to her, Susan Escalier. This will
- 3:45Speaker 1: release the public. But now that we know who was
- 3:48Speaker 1: behind the Plea deal agreements here on the Alex Garrett
- 3:52Speaker 1: podcast Network, to have one leg up in the Defense Department,
- 3:56Speaker 1: you know we gotta do next. We have to call
- 3:59Speaker 1: for the resignation and maybe even the firing of Susan Ascalier,
- 4:04Speaker 1: this convenient authority for military commissions. Who is she to
- 4:08Speaker 1: make a deal like this without maybe even consulting the
- 4:12Speaker 1: Department of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. For a guy who
- 4:18Speaker 1: has gone a wall before because of hospitalizations, he should
- 4:21Speaker 1: just hold the president by the way he finally stepped
- 4:24Speaker 1: up here. That is a big deal and this reversal
- 4:29Speaker 1: should be broadcast everywhere. But now he should take it
- 4:33Speaker 1: a step further. Whoever agreed to pre trial agreement and
- 4:37Speaker 1: made the agreement on behalf of the military should be fired.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And I don't like calling for people's heads, but lately,
- 4:45Speaker 1: lately I've been seeing it. I've been seeing the need
- 4:50Speaker 1: we had to call out the resignation or firing of
- 4:54Speaker 1: Kimberly Cheetle. Now he should call out the firing or
- 4:59Speaker 1: resignation of Susan Escalier. Who is she? Well, I'm gonna
- 5:05Speaker 1: take a look at the bio real fast for you,
- 5:09Speaker 1: because this name is now synonymous with the Plea deal,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and of course, acil you reach out, she basically is
- 5:39Speaker 1: if I look at this is in terms of the
- 5:46Speaker 1: Guantanamo military commissions convening Authority. She's a retired Brigadier General
- 5:58Speaker 1: Susan Escalier, And here's the deal. She was commissioned in
- 6:06Speaker 1: the US Army Signal Corps upon graduation from the University
- 6:09Speaker 1: of California, so she's got military background. She was the
- 6:16Speaker 1: recently Assistant Judge Advocate General for Military Law and Operations
- 6:23Speaker 1: including Trial Council the five hundred and fifth Parachute Infantry,
- 6:31Speaker 1: and she has been on the legal side of the military.
- 6:43Speaker 1: She was in the Coalition Humanitarian Assistants Provisional Authority in
- 6:48Speaker 1: the Iraq War. She was senior operational law observer and
- 6:55Speaker 1: trainer for the Battle Command and Training Program. Deputy Staff
- 6:58Speaker 1: Judge Advocate for Symmetry Division, Legal advisor to the Security
- 7:02Speaker 1: Grooment Secretary Secretariat, Military Judge the Division of the Army.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So she's decorated, and being in the military, you wonder
- 7:22Speaker 1: why she would dare enter a plea deal with this,
- 7:32Speaker 1: with these terrorists who's she's fought against ill a military,
- 7:39Speaker 1: it seems like. And so, Brigadier Escalier, this is embarrassing
- 8:16Speaker 1: for you, and I hope maybe and you know, you're decorated.
- 8:27Speaker 1: This kind of idea of entering a plea deal with terrorists,
- 8:30Speaker 1: warrants your resignation. Thank you for your service, But now
- 8:35Speaker 1: this is too much, especially for the all Americans, for
- 8:40Speaker 1: the families of nine to eleven victims, for the nine
- 8:43Speaker 1: to eleven victims, for what we went through on September eleven,
- 8:47Speaker 1: two thousand and one. This is too much. You might
- 8:50Speaker 1: think because you're decorated, and as President trumpas said, in
- 8:53Speaker 1: your air conditioned offices, right, he said that before, to
- 8:57Speaker 1: make all these decisions in your air conditioned office. But
- 9:02Speaker 1: look what it's done. It's ripped open another wound that
- 9:06Speaker 1: the body massician already ripped open in twenty twenty one
- 9:09Speaker 1: with the failed evacuation of Afghanistan. Withdrawal from Afghanistan, the
- 9:19Speaker 1: hits do just keep on coming. And Secretary Austin, you
- 9:24Speaker 1: appointed her, Now you can also fire her in addition
- 9:29Speaker 1: to overriding her, because we don't want somebody in there
- 9:32Speaker 1: that's going to be doing plea deos. I don't care
- 9:34Speaker 1: if they're decorated or not. Titles don't matter in the
- 9:39Speaker 1: sense of decision making. You are the most decorative military person.
- 9:47Speaker 1: But you give pleados to terrorists, you shouldn't have a job.
- 9:53Speaker 1: The next day. This has to go over and beyond
- 9:57Speaker 1: withdrawal of the plea deal. There has to be more consequences,
- 10:01Speaker 1: Secretary of Austin, So take that next step asking to resign,
- 10:05Speaker 1: appoint someone who is who's not going to do this
- 10:08Speaker 1: kind of nonsense, and straighten out your department, or this
- 10:15Speaker 1: withdrawal will be just a show because the person who
- 10:18Speaker 1: made it will still be there. Don't make it a show,
- 10:20Speaker 1: make it real. Make this a real withdrawal of a
- 10:24Speaker 1: plea deal with terrorists. By firing or asking forcing Brigadier
- 10:32Speaker 1: Susan Escalier to step aside, that is a dishonorable discharge.
- 10:40Speaker 1: If I ever saw one, have a great day on
- 10:45Speaker 1: the Alex Garrett podcast network again find me at one
- 10:48Speaker 1: leg Up Alex on Instagram and x as well as
- 10:54Speaker 1: Alex g NYC one. Thanks so much
