- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: Hello.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for having me back.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: I should have said welcome back, but you know, I'm all flustered because I was like doing something right before we connected and time got away from me and then I'm like, oh no.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: have to go in there and you were waiting, of course you were on time and I wasn't, but that's okay.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because we have so much to talk about.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God, everything is crazy, Sarah.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's nothing happening.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's very calm.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's very calm.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's very calm and normal, right?
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so before we get into all the scary crap, how are you?
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very good.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a while.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: So why are you very good?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I quit drinking.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: So it's been.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's been a whole thing.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it's been great about three months now.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel better.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: I've lost weight.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's been all the good things.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: So what made you decided to do that?
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: It had been a long time coming.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think I like most people can happen to them.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: I let it became a very big coping mechanism for dealing with the outside world.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I decided I wasn't going to go down with the ship.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I was like, all right, now I still am very California sober.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I'm not like
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: not like I'm definitely doing other things but yeah the legal stuff right the legal it's legal here it is legal here so I'm in Connecticut it's legal yeah and so sometimes yes we do need I find the difference with marijuana versus alcohol at least for me number one if I if I were to talk to someone who was drunk it's a very different experience than talking to someone who's stoned
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not to say like you shouldn't drive or anything like that, but it seems like there's a little bit more can self control when you're high on cannabis.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: then kind of drunk.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it's funny because I have never been a big drinker.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: My grandfather was an alcoholic.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: My uncle noticed that if he would have continued drinking, he felt like he was an alcoholic.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: So he just stopped and it's been decades.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: And so they say it's in the family and everything.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I never, I never really had that problem.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: I will say when I was in my very early twenties, I went out for two nights in a row and got drunk.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember thinking I'm never doing that again because the hangover from the second night was so awful.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I was young.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, no, and I never did it again.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not, I'm just really not a big drinker because for me, it's like when I drink, I feel really great for like maybe an hour.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then what starts happening is after that euphoria wears off, I just start feeling heavy.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: I can taste that nasty taste of alcohol coming from my stomach through my breath, and I just hate it.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I'm lucky that way.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, that is good because I was the one where I would drink most days.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I was just becoming, it was, it wasn't good.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I haven't been drinking for about three months.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's been good.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: It is like they say like, oh, it is a life changer.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: And it is a life changer.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: So that's awesome.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, more power to you.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so I don't know how you're getting through.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you already said you're using other substance.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I got a therapist.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I got a therapist.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I got a therapist.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's funny because for me, I've been to therapists in my life before.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I promise I won't get into all of this, but I know I've talked to you about it.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'll let out and I have that other podcast called The Seeker.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: But for me, it's really been like this whole venture into who we really are, like who human beings are.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like so funny to me, because there's like a crossover with human psychology.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so if I get, like for instance, if I'm getting really upset over something,
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: one of the things that I've learned to do.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: And this almost sounds like it would come from a therapist, but it's more from what I've learned in that spiritual.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: I hate the word spiritual because it's just connected to new age and it sounds stupid, but it's like, when I'm upset, I just kind of hang back.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of observe myself being upset and recognize that it's not who I am.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's just what I'm feeling and the record, you know, I don't resist it.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: I let it play out.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I recognize that it will play out.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: And even though I feel whatever I'm feeling, that understanding that, okay, it's gonna play out.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's not really who I am.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's just what I'm feeling.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: It helps.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know what other, you know, I don't know the other coping mechanisms that are offered via psychology, but for me, that's really helped me a lot.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if there's, you know, no, that's honestly what a therapist would probably tell you to do is, yeah, like identify the emotion, why you might be feeling it.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: I allow yourself to sit with it.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: and like kind of move through it.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and like don't fight it.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because like the more you like they say what you resist persists.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, and I don't like to say that because we are resisting fascism, but you know what I mean?
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like in your own mind.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: In our own data life, like don't exactly.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so here comes a scary question.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: Do you feel that fascism is going to cement or do you think we're going to find our way back to democracy?
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're going to find out after twenty twenty six.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a solid answer on that because like I thought we were strong enough.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, like I have all of my theories about what's going to happen.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: But give me some of them.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: What are your theories?
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I have a theory where it's like Trump was put in power to tear down the systems, tear down all of our like basically to story our government and what what I believe.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Republicans plan and heritage foundations plan and like Peter Teele's plan.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's all, um, build a backup and build a backup with vans.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: And basically they're inversion of like a glyad type of situation.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I hope it wouldn't be as bad as glyad, but I think that's what they're.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: What they're envisioning because you can see it.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're tearing apart apartment education.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: They're tearing apart the parent every structure that is good for the American people.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: Then help see American people and they're tearing it all apart and they want us to be mad at each other.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: They want us because that only helps serve to help them.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I don't know when or how that's going to happen, but that's that's my prediction.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, I'm sure like you or like me, you feel
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: pretty good seeing the Democrats fighting.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: What they're doing in Texas, right?
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: So they walked out of the legislature and of course the governor wants to issue a restaurant's warrants for those people for those Democrats who walked out.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think the first person we saw addressed this whole jerry mandarin thing because Texas wants to just jerry mandarin us out so that it's like absolutely guaranteed win for the GOP and of course other red states are picking up on this and so Gavin Newsom
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think it correct me if I'm wrong, but was the first one to kind of boldly stand up against this and say, okay, let's fight fire with fire.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: I've got California, and then other governors, I think other blue governors are either doing the same or looking to do the same.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: Where do you think this takes us?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, because it's like, I don't know where this is going to go, but we can absolutely count on the Republican states to Jerry Mender, even harder.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to go ahead and assume that Democrats will choose to fight back.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: But how do you see this playing out?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think it's just going to be this huge war of Jaymandering?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm not even asking you how the midterms are going to turn out.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, where do you think this is going to go as far as how things are just being are playing out right now?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: I assume it's Democrats.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think if we don't fight back and fight back with grit, like we are just going to let them walk all over us.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: We have my back and I was never a huge Gavin Newsom fan, but he's really been showing up and especially like with everything that happened in LA with with or is happening in LA.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, and now here with Texas and
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a moment for the Democrats to be like, Hey, we're going to draw our line in the ceiling.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: We are, we need to play their game.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like I always I've said it to you before where we need to play their game.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but we need to do it for good and not.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's like Rachel bit of coffers always talking about using.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: just being like incendiary and hyperbolic in order to get the attention of the people who are maybe not paying attention and worry about because all the time the Republicans are hyperbolic all the time they're saying things like the Democrats are gonna take your guns when they never do and like the last time she was on my show she made the point where if she posts something like
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: the Republicans are gonna take away your social security.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, she always gets a well-actually Democrat.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, actually, that's not really how it works and it's like shut up.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's not helpful.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter if that's how it works.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: So she's like, I know how it works, but ultimately, the Republicans are going to do everything they can to take away our social safety nets.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: And it may not go down in the way that I've explained it, but yes, they're going to get rid of our social safety nets and things that take care of us.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: And instead of arguing about the fucking details,
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: just put out the same kind of fear tactics, but like you said, for the good.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's ridiculous that I mean, it happens with Democrats all the time.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't want to be a jerk about it, but we are like, we have more smart people in our group.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: And we have to remember that the average reading level in America is like fifth grade or something like that.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: We have, and it shows our state of affairs with the education and why they need the Department of Education to keep things
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: across the nation so we don't have states like Mississippi and we every kid that comes on a Mississippi doesn't know the alphabet so we have to basically that's why it needs that anyway.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: I've lost my train of thought because I started thinking about really stupid kids in this city.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: Just about how we need to fight back.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, no, we have to have the same grit.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we have to fight back and we have to.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: We have to dump shit down too.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: We have to speak to people on their own levels like don't.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, do people know what the word Jerry Mandarin is?
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, do people know what certain words mean?
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we have to speak on a level that they understand of Republicans are very, very good at that.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: They speak to people, especially like on economic issues like that, they really hit home.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, oh, yeah, I understand that where it's like Democrats are like above Brown.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, oh, this is all the things we need to do and they're not wrong.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: But it doesn't resonate.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's not, oh, it's that whole thing.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to be right or do you want to win?
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Democrats spend way too much time making their case improving their right.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I see it all like I heard that quote.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I started looking on social media and I see it all the time.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: And like you said, but they are right.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: But sometimes being right doesn't win an argument because Republicans come from this whole psychological hit-um with fear, hit-um with making them feel like they've been wronged.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: And it's an emotional kind of message whereas the Democratic message is way more cerebral.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, policy won't keep.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not to say that it's, of course we have to educate the public in what we want to do, what we have done, all that.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, we have, the Republicans have shown us so very clearly that an emotional message is really the message that sticks.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to have to disagree with ex-DNC chair, Jimmy Harrison, in that, okay, while I do agree Democrats like Hope, it's not enough.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not enough.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we have, I mean, look at Kamala Harris.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't enough.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: Help wasn't enough.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: Joy and laughter, in fact, laughter hurt hurt.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't enough.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it does need to be, I think the Democratic Party really has to realize yesterday that they need to be playing on our emotions and doing a lot more.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, as happy as I am to see them uniting on this particular issue at least in Texas, I feel like there's still too many Democrats out there that are scattered.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: They're not uniting.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're not sending a cohesive message like, hey, we're fighting fascism and we're never going to back them because some of them are still voting with the GOP.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand this.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: What the fuck is wrong with them?
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, doesn't it drive you crazy when you see that?
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: It does.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it really does.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: And back to the point where like Democrats are so cerebral too, it's like, you don't want to vote for people that make you feel dumb.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to, you're not going to vote for the person that's made you feel stupid.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to vote for the person that you can kind of relate to.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, they're actually feel heard.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they make sense.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: They are saying things that I understand.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just, it's not that we don't have to be honest.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: We just need to speak to people on their level, meet people where they are instead of trying to be like, holy or the now, all of the time.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's very true.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you know what, we have to take a quick break, but we will be back after this message.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: Hey real quick, this is Kimberly.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: If you like what you're listening to, please go to patreon.com slash start me up, check out all the different tiers, and become my patron today.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: I would appreciate it, and thank you.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, we're back.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I hate this, but you mentioned Gilead.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: No, I've never seen that show.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_01]: No, because first of all, I think Bob and I started watching it at one point and didn't keep watching it.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it was because he just felt like it was, this was during, you know, Biden, I think.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it was the first term of Trump.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember, but still it was like Bob felt a little freaked out.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: by watching it.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I guess, you know, I just, I didn't fight him on that.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like I didn't say, yeah, we have to watch it.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: But, so, you know, I can't speak, I do have the, I understand what that show was about.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_01]: But in line with that, I want to read because we're seeing, oh my god, we're seeing so much misogyny now.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: And people, like, for those of you.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: There's a hot tick, right?
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: There's totally an uptick of misogyny.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's a smile of the other day.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I haven't heard that in a decade.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, that's fucking bad.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, so for those of you who don't know who this guy is, Matt Walsh, he has a massive, massive platform.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: This is exactly the kind of guy that we can't ignore.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think like you can ignore him in that you don't have to engage with him.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's important to note what people like Matt are saying because they have big flat platforms.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just going to say before I read what he wrote, um,
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: I do hear people whether it's Donald Trump or whoever, like, oh, I just ignore it.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: We shouldn't give them air.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, Donald Trump is the president.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: You can't ignore the president.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: And then, and so people like Matt Walsh, while there could be an argument, well, you don't have to pay attention to him.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, but he's one of Donald Trump's, I don't know, he's like, he's got a bullhorn.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: And Donald Trump is just a fucking idiot right now.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's literally lost his mind.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: He makes no sense.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even about Donald Trump.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's about the messaging that goes along with a Trump presidency with a fascist rule.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm not going to ignore people who I think are absolutely dangerous to my fucking way of life.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: And so Matt said, women do, in fact, owe children to the world.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: Your ancestor suffered and sacrificed and died to bring you into existence and build the civilization you now take for granted.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: You stand on the shoulders of thousands of untold hardship, giving up, throwing it all away, extinguishing your own bloodline so that you can live in a pathetic, pointless life dedicated solely to your own material game is an act of generational betrayal and suicide.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: Holy shit.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: You and I. Yeah, generational betrayal.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I did.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like he knows what hardship is as a straight one.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, okay, wait, wait, wait.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: So then I don't know if you saw this, but Charlie Kirk's been on a college tour going around to college campuses all over the United States and telling women that they need to get their MRS, their Mrs. Degree and basically find this on.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, get find them in and give up your freedom.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: Another person that I don't think we should be ignoring because the scary part of all of this is that when I watched this first video of him talking about this misses degree, I for sure thought that the girls in school were going to just go crazy on him.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: And instead, they all applauded him.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they raised their hands when they're when they're like, they're to see get a husband or whatever.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, hey, there's nothing wrong with wanting to get married.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like, yeah, go to school to find your husband.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: And it's okay, if you want to go to school and possibly meet your husband, that's too, that's also cool.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: There's also a cool thing about getting an education and knowing how to take care of yourself in case your husband cheats on you or beats you or you want to leave.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, that's really important too.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, but yeah, I mean, I'm seeing this happen and that was just going to ask you when you just told me that you were told to smile, which, oh my God, I swear to God, you know, I mean, I'm afraid to
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: be in that situation myself, because I can tell you the story.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, tell me the story.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me the story.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: First I want to say that it's a very important list into those voices, because if we don't listen to what people are hearing, we don't know how to counteract those messages.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: But as far as my story, my wife and I were at Costco, of course.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: We were in line checking out and like, I guess we both had like faces.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, I think it was a Monday.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: It was just like, it was just like, okay, we have a minute to go to Costco.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: And we're in line and this guy goes, oh, why are you smiling today?
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: And like, he's a cashier and I don't, I want to throw him under the bus.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to say which Costco branch.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: But so I was like, oh, yeah, I kind of just like bit my tongue and
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: My wife, she did not, but she didn't go after him, but she was like, oh, she'd be appointed to the guy behind us in line.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, are you going to tell him to smile too?
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: And so he was kind of, and the cashier was kind of flustered and it was, and he's like, oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and that's the thing.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's like sometimes these guys, they don't really realize what they're saying.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: They think they're they're so programmed by the patriarchy that they actually think they're saying something nice to you.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we thought he was being charming.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: I was like a microaggression basically like oh you're a woman in my presence you should be looking happy kind of thing and you're like it's a Monday and I needed toilet paper.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: I am not here to bring a smile to your face.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know what's interesting though, I will say this and I'm going kind of back to my spiritual thing.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: One of the, and it's not just spiritual because it's also in my current, in our current situation, especially because, you know, I live in Maryland, which is an extremely diverse state.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: And because I'm so close to DC, I mean, we have so many people from all over the world here.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: Black and brown, I mean, all kinds.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so when I'm out and about,
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think in terms of, you know, and I only bring the spiritual into it because it's like, you know, when I listen to people who have had your death experiences or something like that, they'll always say, what really matters is how we treat each other.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: And so I keep that in the forefront of my head.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, all right, when I'm out and about, I just want to be friendly to people.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't been told to smile because I've kind of been, you know, like that.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: I've been friendly and I also don't want people to look at me and think, oh, because she's a white woman, she's probably mega.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: I do my very best to be kind and strike up conversations and, you know, I mean, I've always kind of been that way, but now I'm aware.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: I have that awareness of what it must be like.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: for someone and it looked like I don't know if you ever do this but like when I'm just out in the world and I'm looking around and I see somebody who's clearly from another country.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean the other day there was somebody close to where I was living and they were just sitting on some stairs and it was a Mexican man and you know we greet we said hello to each other and he had an accent and I thought is this man concerned like I'm concerned for him
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I, you know, and I don't know his story.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he's a good guy or not, you know, but I'm just assuming he is.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm wondering, and it's like, are you getting that, like, when you're walking around, are you getting the sense that people feel fear or just the things kind of still feel normal to you?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they definitely don't feel normal.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: And like, so my wife is Puerto Rican, so she has brown skin.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so she had this fear and so does her mother has even darker brown skin.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: And she, they were, they're worried about like, I said, and I was like, and like me, I was like, oh, you know, your Puerto Rican is better.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: But then.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, holy shit, they're not even, they're not even checking, they're not even giving a shit who they're detaining.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: There was a military veteran in California who was Puerto Rican, and he got detained.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't know if it's California or, I think it was California.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like, holy shit, you do have to worry.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: And now I worry.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: And my wife's traveling to a state where, soon where I'm going to worry about her being there.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I definitely think there's a fear out there amongst people for sure.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's an uneasiness.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's very uneasiness.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, I think it was Passover dinner.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: My sister was telling me because one of her friends and I don't know where she's from.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where her friend is from, but she's had this friend forever.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: They went to high school together, they grew up together, and her friend is brown.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if she's somewhere from India or something like that.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: But regardless, she messaged my sister during Passover dinner, and so she was in a restaurant in the area where we live, and that there were ice agents looking around.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I mean, she's a citizen.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: She was born here.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: But she's got the wrong skin color.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I mean, everybody at dinner kind of just, it just made us quiet.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously nothing happened to her friend.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, you know, I don't know what they did in that particular restaurant.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: But I know that with this new big brutal bill, the budget is so, you know, inflated for ice, which now Dean Kane has joined ice, but that's one other.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: I was happy for him.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: He finally found work.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Fucking a fuck you Dean Kane.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: Who was also an undocumented immigrant.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, Superman.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Superman was.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or is.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I mean, and I haven't necessarily seen, I mean, I do remember back in, I don't know, maybe twenty, twenty, two, whatever.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was during a Biden presidency.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: Bob and I were driving down to Virginia, and there was this massive, I think I even told you about it, but it was this massive, and I'm saying massive Confederate flag hanging above the free, I always say freeway, because I'm from California, but highway.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, oh my god, and whenever you go into Virginia, I mean, there are definitely the rural parts of Maryland that are very, very Trumpy and mega.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, there are just same thing, red parts of Virginia that are just so Trumpy.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, you know, the civil war was fought here.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: So there's like a whole different energy.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: I grew up in Southern California and was there for all those years.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we didn't, I mean, you could go into places like Baker's Field and definitely feel the right wing.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not like it is on these coasts.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: There's a particular kind.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: of weird magnets on the west coast.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I will say that I haven't really felt it too much as far as my own personal experiences.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: But I worry, you know, like I worry, my mother lives in a neighborhood that's extreme, my mother who's seventy eight years old.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: We were having conversation the other day and she was telling me how she's concerned for her neighbors because, you know, it's like an old nation's neighborhood.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: There's like, from all over.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, and she's not necessarily made friends with these people, but she's neighborly.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: They talk.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: They know each other's lives.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: She knows about this family and that family.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: And this one has a newborn and this one, blah, blah, blah.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, she's telling me, she's like, if I, I'm terrified to see
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: them, you know, I sat on the street, taking away my neighbors and she goes, and if I ever saw anything like that, I would not be able to just sit there and do nothing.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: And then, like, in my mind, I'm like, my second year, please mom, don't go fight ice.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, she's like, no, I would go out there with my phone and I would scream at them.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I just have to help that she doesn't get hurt if she ever does anything like that.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, that's like, I fear like when I go out, then I'm going to see something like that.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I would do the same thing.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: I would scream and I would use my phone and help that I didn't get hurt.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because like you couldn't just do nothing.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I hear that of my mom.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: And she would get still mad at me if I kept reiterating, seventy-eight term.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like, she's my mommy.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's like, and I had to tell my mom to stop climbing up onto the top of the road.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: She's in her seven eighties.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: So we're gonna switch gears here and I just gotta ask you.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this whole thing with abstine.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: Initially when, okay, for I think it was back in June when Elon Musk said, okay, they got in the big fight about the bill that hadn't passed yet.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: Elon Musk says Donald Trump is in the Epstein files.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: So that kind of opened the door.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously the Epstein thing had been there, and they all ran on, and we're going to show you who's in those files, because of course, they just wanted to say Bill Clinton.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we're going to do.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then, of course, now they're like, no, you can't see the files.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: And now we see what's happening is that Galane Maxwell is going to lie and say Donald's in the files is not in the files, and then he already put her in club fed.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: Much easier present to experience than the one she was in.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: and we're all anticipating a pardon.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, initially when this was happening, there were people like, and I think still, Candace Owen, Steve Bannon, they're pissed off.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, no, no, no, this isn't good.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: But my concern here is like, okay, what if those files are released?
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: But of course, they make all the Democrats, and if, you know, I think it was Keith Edwards who had a viral tweet going around that saying, this is what's gonna happen.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna release the files and it's gonna be, you know, a bunch of Democrats and a few billionaires.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe a right winger.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: But who the big shots don't care about.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're creating the list right now is what they're doing.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they're doing.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: So obvious because it's like if it wasn't going to be a problem for a Trump, we'd already have had it.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: We would have already had it.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: But he there is evidence that he raped a child.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: And in the in the law first lawsuit that was brought against him and it was him and Epstein on the lawsuit.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: It said that if she were to speak about it and if she was a Jane do she's a Jane do if she were to speak about it Then he would harm her or her family and her family So it was kind of like so we know why these cases were dropped Yeah, they were bullied out of these lawsuits and but if you read about she was thirteen she was thirteen years old My niece is thirteen I can't tell you the shade of red I turn when I think about this like it's too soon
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: beyond.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm wondering, are this curated list that it'll eventually come out and probably have Clinton's name on it?
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think that that MAGA will buy it?
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think they will.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: For the most part, I think the cult will buy it.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're a good chunk of that they always say that we have Trump's arrangement syndrome, but they are the ones that clearly have Trump's arrangement syndrome because he can't do any wrong.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think a good chunk of them are going to buy it, obviously.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: But I have noticed like a few businesses in town that would fly Trump flags.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're not, they're not anymore.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm keeping my eye on that.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know because I think a few people are like, this is, this is shady.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like people.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're obviously curating the list.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: They're obviously like redacting his name.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing whatever they can.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: He owns the DOJ, he owns the FBI.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like you just put the arsonist in charge of the investigation.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I really don't know where this goes.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know because I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that there's going to be that mega cult that is never going to break from him.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not even that we have to
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: get them to break, but can we get enough people specifically independence who usually lean right?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: Are they going to be okay with this curated list?
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Are they going to buy it?
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're ultimately the ones who are going to determine
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: Elections providing those elections are certified and I don't know as fair as they possibly can be.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, I don't know if this Epstein thing is really going to be this big deal that everybody assumes that it was going to be.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: initially.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I do think it will play a part in how Trump is viewed, but if they do indeed come out with some list that just looks like all the them because that's the whole point of maga and that's the whole point of Q Q and on was just like look all the Democrats are pedophiles.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it was of course all unsubstantiated and proven wrong in many cases, but
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: that's what they like to stick to and they do not want to believe that even though every single time you fucking open your computer and look at the news there is another Republican who has raped a child or has changed the laws to protect child rapists or you know I mean and then there's and then there's the the quotes I'm just gonna read a few of the quotes and this is over the years I mean we cannot forget
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Todd Aiken, if it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: I remember that.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, that was twenty twelve and then he lost a seat, which but today they'd probably like put him, you know, they would, I don't know, they would amplify him.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: No, they'd be like, yes, that's how it's done.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's the last one.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then here's rap is kind of like the weather.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: If it's inevitable, relax and enjoy it.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: That was Clayton Williams of Texas for public and Rick San terms advice was rape victims should make the best of a bad situation.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: These are all verified by the way, verifiable quotes.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: Another one, even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, it's something that God intended to happen.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then the last is, if a woman and then in parentheses has the right to an abortion, why, this is my favorite one, why shouldn't a man be free to use his superior strength to force himself on a woman?
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: At least the rapist pursuit of sexual freedom doesn't, in most cases, result in anyone's death.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's Lawrence Lockman.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: of, uh, what is M.E.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: Is that, that's not Minnesota or main?
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: Is that me?
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's me.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's me.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's not even current.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand how he is walking around and not punching the face every day.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm just like, okay, all of these men should be cast straight up because they shouldn't be allowed near any woman.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's just terrifying.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's terrifying.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's just, yeah.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I, like, both of you and I are very tall.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: And we, we can kind of like hold it.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we can have a presence that's a little bit more intimidating.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: But that shouldn't matter.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, no, like, women shouldn't have to worry.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: No, and it's a real concern.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mean, I will say when I'm out and about at this point,
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: in time.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not freaking out.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not like, oh my god, oh my god, I don't worry.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I also, I'm aware of what's happening.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, you know, I mean, and again, because I think because I live in such a diverse area, so many of the people that I encounter are not white.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I do see a lot of white people, okay, yes.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, when I'm out in the stores and blah, blah, blah.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm seeing people from everywhere all around the world.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, it's just literal.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: I see Asian people, Mexican people, black people, you know, just everyone.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: And in Muslim people.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: And it's interesting to me because I think this country is filled as it was intended.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: to be the sanctuary for people all around the world to come and you know have that American dream.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: And so all these people came here to have that American dream they're all here now.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I just don't know that I just I don't you know we're not gonna have I know my mind's going all over the place but I can't help it because I just you know once you start thinking of these things it's like your mind is just flooded with all this other stuff and it's like how how can they
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: How can they achieve what they want to achieve when some millions and millions and millions of people who live in this country are from other countries?
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: And they want to turn this into some white utopia, which I'll never be.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: Who are these women that support that kind of thing?
- 35:19[SPEAKER_00]: I remember when I used to gig out in LA, and I would walk back to my cart like two AM, and I'd have my saxophone stand in one hand,
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: which has like the hooks for my saxophone.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then I have like my keys in between the fingers, like we'll read in the other hand.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like walking down the street to my car because I'm holding like for, because I'm like holding like five thousand dollars on the gear on my back.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like bullshit.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and then, but it's like, to I we don't as women, we don't know a world without that fear.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's so true.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Even don't know before this.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like we've always had to watch our backs to that like it's awful.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's an awful existence.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I for any man to say like, Oh, well, we should just allow rape.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: Just to that.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy it if it's inevitable.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: Well, then I'm not going to say what I wanted to say, but maybe something should happen to him.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: And he should sit back and enjoy it.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, really.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, it's like as women were constantly being told how we have to keep ourselves safe from men.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, how many fucking emails have I gotten in my life telling me, you know, if you're gonna jog, don't wear a ponytail because some crazy man could come out of the bushes and grab you by your ponytail and pull you off and kill you.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you're in a parking lot late at night looking the backseat of your car, because there might be a scary man there.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when you're walking,
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: late at night, hold your keys like Wolverine in your hand, just in case some guy tries to hurt you and attack you.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then when you post about safety online, why do you hate men?
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: Why the feminist hate men so much and it's like, oh my God, it's not even about hating men.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, all we ever hear is how men are gonna fucking kill us and rape us.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's all we hear and how we get it all the time.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you hate men?
- 37:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I don't hate men.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: I hate assholes.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's a difference.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't matter if you explain that five gazillion fucking times, because there's always going to be a new one.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is why do you hate men?
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: But while we're constantly being told, men are going to kill and rape us.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: And the statistics show that that's really what's happening.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's like, oh my fucking, and I've been screaming about this forever.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: I had written an open letter to John Kasich on
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: I was reading you know because of course he victim blind and I was reading what I wrote and I was kind of bummed because I think it was probably like twenty fifteen maybe twenty sixteen I don't know I think it was twenty sixteen and you know everything I said was you know if a woman is
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: Not is wearing sexy clothes.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: The man who raped her is the one to blame.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: Not her.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: If a woman is drunk and gets raped, it's the man.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's the rapist's fault.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's never the woman's fault.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: If a woman, a woman should be allowed to walk around naked.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: And feel safe.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and it's like what makes me so sad is I wrote this in twenty sixteen I've written things and I know you did too, you know prior to mega and all this stuff and it just seems like everything just fell apart.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_01]: You know we we we were trying so hard to educate we were trying so hard to make our points with sarcasm or humor or whatever we could and it just now it's like it's just worse.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel, you know, I mean, I worry about people in my life for various, like, you're worried about your wife.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm worried about Jewish family members that I have.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I, you know, I mean, it's just, I don't know where this is going to go, but what I do think is that it can't sustain.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: And the last thing that I wanted to ask you about is, now, you know, everybody hates, well, not everybody, but pretty much the world saved for the small little mega crowd.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: that cult, they hate Donald Trump.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: And constantly we're seeing memes, like we're seeing memes of Poo Bear and Tigger talking about wanting him to just fucking die.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, we're seeing why it's wild that people are just coming out and saying stuff like that all of the time.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: All the time.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't because, you know, I know, for obvious reasons, like, yeah.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, and plus, I, you know, but it's just like holy shit.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like there is a
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: You either love him or you really don't.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and most people really don't.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: Most people in the world really don't.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, just like when Obama won in a thousand and eight, there was this world, like the whole world was literally dancing.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it would be kind of the same thing if Trump left his body.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I, I think I told you this before.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like, when Obama got elected and was inaugurated, I went to Australia shortly thereafter in two thousand nine, like a couple of months after he's inaugurated.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: And like, I'm on this like blue mountain tour and they have everybody lined up and they're like, everybody say Obama, like people from around the world in the store.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: And we all smile and set Obama and it was just like holy shit.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that that would happen again.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that, I mean, especially if we, if in twenty twenty annual care, who was of Democrat one, the world would cheer.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: But if Trump were to take his last breath for whatever reason.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's another, I think part of the reason we all
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say that so many people in this world wish him dead is because he's old and unhealthy.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: If he were, if he were, thirty-five years old, if he were, you know, healthy, obviously that wouldn't be the wish because people wouldn't expect it to happen.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: But it's, he doesn't look the same good.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's a saying going around.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: Clots and prayers.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, you know, when the, uh,
- 41:00[SPEAKER_01]: The White House came out with that whole Venus thing that he has.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: It was just a way to shut us up because he's got the big cancels and he's got other bruises and that's just what we can see.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: One hundred percent that was what they were.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: They did that to tell us you know it's far worse.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, it's far worse.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the doctors, I know that a doctor can't just look at someone from afar and say, here's what's wrong with you, but in diagnosed them.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: But doctors have said it looks like he has congestive heart failure.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we know that he doesn't eat healthy.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: We know he doesn't exercise.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: We know he drinks too much diet coke.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: We know he's been taking drugs forever.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, there are things that are really wrong with him and it would not surprise anyone if his body gave out on him.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: So also when it put it past like they're setting it up that he leaves on health reasons.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then I feel like they're in the starting stages of that to then have a dance.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: And dance just recently went on a donor tour to like fucking a blue state too.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like he was in dance hook it.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like you don't get more blue blood wealthy than that.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like come on.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: So that's that's kind of what I'm leading to because you know, I mean, they're just seems to be this
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: feeling in the air with so many people that I talked to that he's not going to last the four years whether it's them getting him to leave because there's that theory that you just presented where you know maybe because I'm sure that
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: the higher-ups, whoever that would be, including Putin, can come to him with Compromat and say, OK, here's the deal.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: We have the video of you with children.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_01]: And if we can show it to everybody and humiliate you,
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: Or you can tell everybody that you're not feeling well and you just step away.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: We'll give you all the federal gardens and you can go play golf and you'll have all your money and you can leave.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: Now that's a scenario, right?
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's also the scenario that he is really sick and he actually dies.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: But regardless, there is this feeling in the air that people don't think he's going to make it this full term.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: I never thought he was going to make it.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think Joe Biden was going to make it if he was the salmon, you know.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: So because they're older and this is a very stressful job.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: And before I even say the next thing, I said that online and people say, oh, he doesn't even work.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: He has nothing to be stressed about.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's absolutely stressed every single day.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's angry and he's stressed and he doesn't want the abstinence stuff to come out.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: And he only gets partial information.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't really understand things.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: He is stressed out.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: He may not be stressed out in a like the way a normal president would be stressed out.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's a mobster who's stressed out.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I just have to throw that out there.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say that it's a van's presidency now.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it's, you know, in this term in this four years, what do you, I mean, there's this two avenues or two ways of thinking one way is that he's not as popular as Donald and that he's not as chaotic and that he also because like he has no charisma and he's going to actually help the Democrats
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, providing, they're not cheating in such horrible ways, but that he's going to help the Democrats.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's the, this is one of my theories that I don't like is that he, you know, he doesn't have the, doesn't offer us this chaos that Donald is off.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: He appears to be
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: more sane and normal.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: And like the fear for me, and I'm just taking this up to the midterms, I'm not even taking this to voting him in in in twenty twenty eight.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: But the fear for me is that he would appear normal to the right leaning independence, who are not really paying close attention.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know because, you know, we are going to see Medicaid going, you know, Medicaid cuts and all these cuts that are going to, and the tariffs and all that shit.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_01]: So like, how do you think a JD prime, I mean, we don't know obviously I'm asking you to be psychic about this a little bit, but like, how do you think a JD presidency lands?
- 45:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he has this like, I don't think the Maga, like, through and through Loyalists are gonna just like jump to him.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think he would be the guy to like appear to be moderate, but he's not like he's a puppet.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's here, tails puppet.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: They've been working on it for a while.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's financed his entire political career.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't trust him at all.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think, I'm trying to, I fear that, well, I fear that they're gonna cheat again.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I say again, very confidently.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I don't know.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think fans will be easier to take down in a lot of ways.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: Because he's a bad around.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: We can be like, do it up, hold your oath.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing?
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: What you're doing is unconstitutional.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's a lot of ways we can go after him that Trump was invincible too.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's very in the air.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, but basically I don't think he'd be the one at the helm anyway.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: He'd be just like the face.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: He'd be like the guy from Ohio who served as country.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, did you hear what he did recently?
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: He had the Army Corps of Engineers raise the water level in the Ohio River so he could go out there with his family.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so cut money for all the national parks and all of that.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, throw or like people who serve under the bus, but let's go and raise the river.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think you can have a day out.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: Just the news just came out today.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: Holy shit.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know what, I thought that was the last thing I was going to say, but I want to throw this out there because there are a lot of.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: people who do not believe if this was a legitimate election.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's also a lot of people who don't like to hear that, and they say, yes, this matches with the polls were saying, and the cheating that they did was only legal.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of in the middle.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that every single time there's an election, not only do they cheat legally with legislation, but they do what they can.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: I've maintained that I think they cheated in, in twenty twenty.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: They just didn't succeed.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that was because of mainland ballots and COVID.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly that was exactly why Biden won is because it was a more legitimate election with mainland ballots.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think every election should be mail and ballots.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: You get like seventy percent voter turnout like an Oregon.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it's it's way more democratic.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like when all those bomb threats were being called in the election night and we were like all of a sudden we don't talk about that.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then I know and how does Alyssa Spotkin win in Michigan but common allusas?
- 47:46[SPEAKER_00]: How does Ruben Gallego win in Arizona but common allusas?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like that doesn't it doesn't track it doesn't.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, there there was something very funny and there are a lot of people who are basically saying what you're saying and some of them are writing on sub sack, but I what I want to point out is there was a recent sub stack going around.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: X, C, I, A, official, and as they audited the twenty twenty four election, and basically in this blog, which I did not read, you know, they, they, I guess they just provide what they believe happened, or how they think it happened.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't read it.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not, you know, I, I just, I don't know.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: But here's what Alice and Gill have to say about it.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: She said, you know, yes, I've seen it.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: First, the book author was not working in intelligence in twenty twenty one.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: He was a PBJ board member in the private sector.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: Second NSA doesn't audit elections nor do they use their surveillance powers on Americans.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: Third, we've known that the ES and ES machines for year, about the ES and ES machines for years, which is why we've long advocated for hand marked paper ballots, but that really doesn't have anything to do with the NSA or twenty twenty four election audits.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't claim to know what happened in twenty twenty four, but this ain't it.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_01]: And my whole point here, because I also heard some people when I posted that,
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: about the blight and actually post the blog.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: But when I posted about it on my Facebook page, somebody said that, I don't know, they're in some kind of military.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: chat group or I don't know whatever it was.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: But long story short with the person who this NSA person isn't someone that they trusted.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to put it out there.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm not going to say that they didn't cheat.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do think they did.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: But even if they did cheat, I don't know what would even be done about it.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: But when you have sub stack, you know, when there's no real sourcing, because I think there was this first one that was going around that sourced NPR.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: But it was NPR had posted a press release.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_01]: And that was it.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: They had no commentary about it.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: So a press release could be made by anybody.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: And it's really not a source.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's just somebody said something.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's all they reported.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I could come out and say, you know, cows are blue.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, they would report it.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't mean it's true.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm very careful about these things.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason why is because I think that people get there, it's not even about conspiracy.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's about people want proof and they want to believe and said why.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I do believe that they cheated.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: But these blogs aren't helping us.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're just offering hope for a few minutes and eventually nothing comes of them.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: And when these kinds of blogs come out, I feel like I would rather just wait to see if anybody's going to say anything because we live in this fucking world of nobody can keep their mouths shut about anything.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know how much I trust.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like people standing on their so box and just saying theories like what I'm saying is like it's a it's a theory and generally like when I hear that in certain counties or whatever in New York that curse in Jelibrand got like seventy percent of the vote but comma got zero.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not zero.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's not zero.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's not zero.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: I looked it up.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it is suspicious, but
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: Kamala, I still, like, Gillibrand, let's say, I don't exactly remember the numbers, but let's say Gillibrand got seventy percent of the vote, normally the top of the ticket would get more than that, but Kamala's got fifty.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: So these are not the right numbers, but it's, you know, it's that, okay, here's, here's didn't got more percentage than Kamala, which is unusual.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: So this better cheating than zero because it seems really obvious.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: Fifty seems real.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: And again, those numbers are off, but still it was just that, you know, usually it happens at the top of the ticket gets more percentage.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, there were discrepancies and there were bomb threats and they were, you know, and Russia, we know, Russia has a real interest.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, after the election, they came out and basically said, okay, Donald Trump owes us.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that sub-stack is a way for people to earn money.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_01]: And it exploded after the selection.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not saying don't trust people on sub-stack.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fucking on sub-stack.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that Wajahat Ali is on sub-stack.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: I trust him.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: Listen to the trusted sources versus just anybody.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so you've got this?
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: Randall going, oh, here this NSA thing.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm not going to believe it immediately.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that it isn't true.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not going to perpetuate stuff like that because I feel like I don't want to create false hope.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: And even if it comes down to it, and we find out, oh my God, yes, here's how they cheated.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: What's going to happen?
- 52:43[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: And it also makes it so no one has confidence in the elections and they're going to show up to vote.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just, it's a dangerous, it's very dangerous.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I know everybody's kind of grabbing for anything they can to feel either hope or feel like, you know, it's not over, but, you know, we have to be smart about this and we have to kind of temper our emotions because every day, it's a fucking roller coaster.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I just, I, I, I,
- 53:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know, I sent this in the first term.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: I just kept saying, I don't know.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know what's going on.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I know what's going on, but I don't know where this is going.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: None of us know where this is going.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: All I do know is, and I'm going to keep saying this, in any kind of attempt to overthrow democracy and get autocracy, the only way that it's going to
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: Democracy will prevail as if we get it early.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: We can allow fascism to submit.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: We can allow these kinds of, you know, we can accept this.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, for those of you listening, I don't know what it is that you can do.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_01]: But look up what you can do.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's just something like making a phone call sending a postcard, anything, you know, go to indivisible, look for things that you can do because we all kind of have to do something.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I do make an effort to call, you know, if I see if I see that Democrats are being weak in an area, I think they need to.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: get some strength, some spine, I will call.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm civil, but I'm like, come on, fight for us.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: You need to fight harder.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, there are things that we can do.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: So we need to make our voices heard.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, that's going to be it for today.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think we've talked about fascism enough.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I know both you and I are social media managers, so we're just going to finish this and go back into it.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: But that is true.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's always, always, always fun to talk to you.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_01]: And as per each, well, before I let you go, tell everyone where to find you.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_00]: You can find me on pretty much every platform but lose guy at Sarah with writer, like, writing things down.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then on lose guy, you can find me at Sarah Wood with a Sarah with an H, the way it's meant to be, Sarah with an H.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: just making it easier for people.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome, all right, well, thanks for being on the show and we will talk again.
