- 0:00Speaker 1: Uh, anyway, Yes, So Saturday, Mohammed had a lot going on,
- 0:04Speaker 1: my son, not the prophet. I mean, maybe the prophet
- 0:06Speaker 1: had a lot going on too.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I don't know. Took he took the weekend off, I
- 0:09Speaker 2: don't know.
- 0:10Speaker 1: But he had ACT boot camp in the morning.
- 0:14Speaker 2: ACT So is that a soccer thing? Act?
- 0:17Speaker 1: No, that's the testing like take the ACT test.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Oh that thing.
- 0:21Speaker 1: So boot camp to kind of you know, teach teach
- 0:24Speaker 1: you the tricks like if you if you get to
- 0:26Speaker 1: a question and it's like, oh, it could be A
- 0:28Speaker 1: or B I don't know which one to pick, like
- 0:29Speaker 1: helping you know how to pick the right one. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: guess all right. So but he had that all morning
- 0:36Speaker 1: and then they were hopping on a bus with the
- 0:39Speaker 1: soccer team to drive up to Morgan for a soccer
- 0:42Speaker 1: game that afternoon. And so I said, I said to Mohammed,
- 0:47Speaker 1: I said, can I can I bring you lunch so
- 0:50Speaker 1: you can eat, so you can eat on the way.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Will you allow me to bring in lunch?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Well, just meaning like I would like to help you.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I know you're not gonna have time to get lunch
- 0:59Speaker 1: before you go. And he said, he said, yes, please,
- 1:03Speaker 1: he said, he said, but I don't want fast food.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I need I want I want healthy lunch.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I need, you know, Like, well, then he's talking to
- 1:09Speaker 2: the wrong mother, I he like.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And you're right, because Joe wasn't around, so it was
- 1:14Speaker 1: up to me to come up with healthy. He's like,
- 1:16Speaker 1: he said, can I get a couple of sandwiches and
- 1:18Speaker 1: some fruit and some water? And like, yeah, I got this.
- 1:22Speaker 1: So I made him a couple of sandwiches.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Met him what kind of sandwich?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Turkey sandwiches, made him a couple of turkey sandwiches. You
- 1:27Speaker 1: were good with the mayo and yeah, well he likes
- 1:30Speaker 1: he likes vinegar and oil on his turkey sandwich. Okay, anyway,
- 1:35Speaker 1: got sent him up to Morgan. Morgan is traditionally very
- 1:42Speaker 1: ruthless sports school, like kind of doesn't he very good,
- 1:46Speaker 1: very very competitive.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Was just the high school the Trojans.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yeah, very competitive. Always always kind of scary to go
- 1:54Speaker 1: to Morgan.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Harry and I did a dance there years and years ago,
- 1:57Speaker 3: and they tossed condoms not really rhumatus, but they tossed
- 2:01Speaker 3: condoms on the DJB they did.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because they're the Trojans.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Oh oh, and uh. I decided to take Oakley the
- 2:11Speaker 1: new puppy, for her first trip to a soccer game.
- 2:15Speaker 1: If you go to x ninety six dot com slash live,
- 2:17Speaker 1: you could see Oakley, who I will remind you is
- 2:21Speaker 1: only four months old.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And really attentive to the soccer. I can see she's
- 2:26Speaker 3: watching that game like a hot.
- 2:28Speaker 1: If you actually, if you go to my uh social media,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I have pictures of her actually watching the game. And
- 2:36Speaker 1: and and Judge lost to Morgan. I mean they've been
- 2:39Speaker 1: playing really well. Yeah, my son's team. They've been playing
- 2:42Speaker 1: really well with everyone else else, but lost to Morgan
- 2:45Speaker 1: because they're ruthless. But there were some friends of the
- 2:49Speaker 1: program parents on the Morgan team who were very nice
- 2:53Speaker 1: and came up and said hello. And one of them
- 2:56Speaker 1: was actually a best friend of the program when we
- 2:58Speaker 1: used to do that a long time ago, to have
- 3:00Speaker 1: one person on Fridays come in and be best friend.
- 3:04Speaker 1: But I would just like to say to the referees,
- 3:09Speaker 1: mm hmm, you have a thankless job. It does not
- 3:14Speaker 1: matter what game I go to. Nobody's happy.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Some parents act like, yes, always.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Nobody's ever happy. And I would challenge those parents, Okay,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I want you to go call that game. You you're
- 3:28Speaker 1: so smart, you know all the rules. I want you
- 3:31Speaker 1: to go call that game and see if you can
- 3:33Speaker 1: call a game where everybody is happy with what you're doing.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Do you think it's good to subject your your children
- 3:39Speaker 3: to these jerk parents and see that behavior, because that
- 3:42Speaker 3: they will some of them will mirror and mimic that
- 3:45Speaker 3: behavior as they get older.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I just want you to know that I I see you,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and I know you make mistakes, and I know you
- 3:53Speaker 1: know you make mistakes, and and I know you don't
- 3:56Speaker 1: get paid very much. That's you have a horrible job.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And I am shocked that anybody ever signs up.
- 4:03Speaker 3: And this is this is why I say we we
- 4:06Speaker 3: need to outlaw competitive sports of all kinds.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Just outlaw them. If you you got when you're an adult,
- 4:13Speaker 2: you can do it. But if you're a kid, you
- 4:14Speaker 2: can't do it.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I am a big fan of kids sports, and I
- 4:17Speaker 1: think there are a lot of good things about it.
- 4:19Speaker 1: But I just every time I'm sitting in a game,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I feel like walking up to the refs and going
- 4:24Speaker 1: I I'm apologizing for parents everywhere.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I wish what you would do.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I know you're not perfect.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I wish you would gird up your loins and walk
- 4:33Speaker 3: up to those parents who are doing that and say,
- 4:35Speaker 3: why don't you grow up, Why don't you stop acting
- 4:39Speaker 3: like such an ass?
- 4:40Speaker 1: I get that they I get they're going to get
- 4:43Speaker 1: it wrong. We've talked with Todd about this before. Yes,
- 4:46Speaker 1: Tod Todd does football.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Other Oh now you're saying it's the ref's ball because
- 4:50Speaker 3: they get it wrong, they get the calls wrong.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Of course they're going to get stuff wrong. Well, of
- 4:57Speaker 1: course they're not going to catch everything. And and tats' is
- 5:01Speaker 1: that you know it can it can cause he does
- 5:03Speaker 1: high school high school sports too. He says it can
- 5:05Speaker 1: get Oh I wonder if he's texted me, yeah, this
- 5:10Speaker 1: is oh, yeah, this is Todd town.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I think.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I think for the most part, they are doing the
- 5:17Speaker 1: best they can. And yes, they get things wrong. And no,
- 5:20Speaker 1: they don't hate your kid or hate your school. There
- 5:24Speaker 1: was not some big conspiracy before the game. Okay, here's
- 5:26Speaker 1: what we're going to do.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So it was the judge parents who were bad. Huh No, I.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Mean there, it's it's every all parents at every school.
- 5:33Speaker 1: There's there are people that get up upset.
- 5:36Speaker 3: As a Texter, I live in Morgan, I have a
- 5:38Speaker 3: son on the Morgan football team.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Parents up here are the worst. We are moving to
- 5:42Speaker 2: Salt Lake where people are nicer, and.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I would say there are judge parents that do it too.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I mean it's it's everywhere everyone gets and I know
- 5:50Speaker 1: you don't like to see, you know, your your kid
- 5:52Speaker 1: having should have got a call and didn't get a
- 5:54Speaker 1: call or called on something they didn't.
- 5:56Speaker 3: It's almost impossible though, not to at least when you're
- 6:01Speaker 3: you know, when the if a ref makes a call
- 6:03Speaker 3: that you think is really bad, to not go, oh.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Come on, I know, but to bring a full circle.
- 6:09Speaker 1: My child who said, don't bring me fast food, I
- 6:11Speaker 1: want a healthy meal. Last night Dad was not home.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I said, we're on our own for dinner. What can
- 6:18Speaker 1: I get you? And he said, I'm gonna go get
- 6:21Speaker 1: food myself. I'm like, all right. He comes home. I said,
- 6:23Speaker 1: what'd you do? He said, well, I wanted to go
- 6:26Speaker 1: to McDonald's and get the minecraft meal. So not for
- 6:30Speaker 1: the found he wanted the toy and he said they
- 6:34Speaker 1: were sold out.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Of of course they are. Oh it's a yeah, it's
- 6:37Speaker 2: huge
