- 1:27Speaker 3: I L l S. Go to Real Radio dot fm
- 1:30Speaker 3: and send that away for your chance at one thousand
- 1:31Speaker 3: bucks at a winter yesterday. Yeah, we did. Victor got
- 1:35Speaker 3: a couple on the map there with some more. I
- 1:38Speaker 3: mean we have two, would like to add more. I
- 1:40Speaker 3: would like to get at least like five for the show.
- 1:42Speaker 3: That'd be great.
- 1:43Speaker 5: I was thinking ten.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fine as well. But Bills is your three
- 1:47Speaker 3: o'clock key org? Good luck. We hope you win. Faux show.
- 1:51Speaker 3: How you guys doing today?
- 1:52Speaker 5: Ah challenging Technology Day?
- 1:55Speaker 3: Yeah is it? Yeah?
- 1:56Speaker 6: I was trapped in the red room for a few
- 1:58Speaker 6: minutes when I got to work today.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, what was that? Let me you little appened
- 2:05Speaker 3: it changed.
- 2:05Speaker 6: It's like a little credit card that shows that changed.
- 2:08Speaker 6: So I had to sit in there and kind of
- 2:10Speaker 6: reboot and fire up my phone over and over again.
- 2:12Speaker 3: So much more efficient, isn't it so much more efficient? Right?
- 2:16Speaker 7: Right?
- 2:16Speaker 5: And then the hard reboot of the computer and everything's.
- 2:19Speaker 3: All right, I am. I had the same thing this
- 2:20Speaker 3: morning with my desktop at home. It really would not
- 2:24Speaker 3: even log onto anything, and I'm like, what the hell
- 2:26Speaker 3: is going on? It wouldn't even like log onto Google.
- 2:28Speaker 3: And I had a bunch of stuff to send over
- 2:29Speaker 3: to one of the reps at the station this morning.
- 2:32Speaker 3: That just happens all the time. A couple like super
- 2:34Speaker 3: hard reboots, and we are all good for sure.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Now super hard reboot is that where you actually use
- 2:40Speaker 6: the buttons on the computer or do you use like
- 2:43Speaker 6: a outside tool like a hammer or a sledgehammer.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I got scream at it for about ten minutes and
- 2:50Speaker 3: then restart. If that doesn't work, scream at it for
- 2:53Speaker 3: twenty minutes, and then restart again while unplugging it, and
- 2:57Speaker 3: that actually end up working. So I'm just keeping a
- 2:59Speaker 3: small notepad all these things I have to do to
- 3:01Speaker 3: make my machinery work. Chances are it's probably me. If
- 3:05Speaker 3: I had to guess, it's me for sure, all right,
- 3:07Speaker 3: seven seven zero three one. That's how you text us.
- 3:10Speaker 3: We literally have so much stuff to talk about today.
- 3:11Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.
- 3:12Speaker 1: You know.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I got a text from our buddy Ray Trinley, who
- 3:15Speaker 3: was in here on Monday.
- 3:16Speaker 6: Of the flaw for One Firm for Life dot hum and.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Ray was telling me about this story up in up
- 3:23Speaker 3: in Seminole County at Sable Point Elementary School and he goes,
- 3:28Speaker 3: he goes, have you seen this story? And I said, no,
- 3:30Speaker 3: I haven't seen. I didn't know what you're talking about.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I read this website, which was Channel two is where
- 3:34Speaker 3: he pulled it from we sh dot com locally for
- 3:37Speaker 3: you guys outside of the area. And when he sent
- 3:39Speaker 3: it to me, I couldn't find it on the website today.
- 3:42Speaker 3: And I looked at the date, and the date was
- 3:44Speaker 3: from a story yesterday which I did not see. I
- 3:46Speaker 3: do not how. I don't know how this kind of
- 3:48Speaker 3: slipped through the wickets, but it did. And the story is.
- 3:51Speaker 3: And by the way, the PTA meeting or the teachers
- 3:54Speaker 3: meeting or conference was last night and it was a
- 3:58Speaker 3: crowded room. And there's a good reason why it was
- 4:00Speaker 3: a crowded room because what happened was kind of egregious.
- 4:04Speaker 3: And what I need to find out is like, there's
- 4:06Speaker 3: a couple of things missing from the reporting and that
- 4:09Speaker 3: I don't understand. So what happened was this There is
- 4:12Speaker 3: a para professional. I can only assume that's it that.
- 4:16Speaker 6: I would imagine as a teacher who deals with special
- 4:19Speaker 6: needs students.
- 4:21Speaker 3: That's what I thought, as well, let me.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Look it up real quick while you set the state.
- 4:24Speaker 3: But I'm not one hundred percent that's what I thought.
- 4:27Speaker 3: A para professional. He quit among an x an investigation
- 4:32Speaker 3: in the threats that he said he thought about and
- 4:34Speaker 3: he was afraid that he may carry out against a
- 4:36Speaker 3: six year old student. Oh y at tuesday's board meeting.
- 4:40Speaker 3: This was last night, of course, parents and other communities,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and I'm going to use my air quotes voice their opinion. No, oh,
- 4:49Speaker 3: it did not go well. It was standing room only
- 4:51Speaker 3: and people were pissed off. And you'll see why here
- 4:54Speaker 3: in a second.
- 4:54Speaker 5: So real quick.
- 4:55Speaker 6: A para professional as an assistant to a lead professional,
- 4:58Speaker 6: most commonly a teacher in an educational setting, providing support
- 5:02Speaker 6: to students in the classroom environment, so they themselves wouldn't
- 5:05Speaker 6: be the teacher, they would be to support the teacher.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Ok An aid, yeah, yeah, yeah, very good. And that's
- 5:10Speaker 3: kind of what I thought, right, So what happened was
- 5:14Speaker 3: is in this particular class, this this pair of professional
- 5:18Speaker 3: said that there was a special needs child that was
- 5:21Speaker 3: like throwing paper at him. And I guess, I don't know,
- 5:25Speaker 3: just throwing paper at it, right, you mean, like what
- 5:27Speaker 3: kids do? Yeah, I mean, that's that's exactly what I
- 5:31Speaker 3: read twice, Like it was one of the situations where
- 5:34Speaker 3: he said, like twenty six times this kid threw a
- 5:38Speaker 3: paper at him as a as a as an aide.
- 5:42Speaker 6: Well, this guy like said, so I'm going to go
- 5:46Speaker 6: out on a limb and imagine that he handled this
- 5:49Speaker 6: in the most professional way possible.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Uh huh. Except on the twenty third I guess of September,
- 5:54Speaker 3: he said, he said out loud to investigators he thought
- 5:57Speaker 3: about cutting her throat with a knife the next day
- 5:59Speaker 3: at schoo oh Boyd and then said on top of that,
- 6:02Speaker 3: he just said, that's the cake. Here comes the icing
- 6:05Speaker 3: and sprinkles. He said that on the way to work
- 6:07Speaker 3: that day he thought about beating the six year old
- 6:09Speaker 3: child to death in the classroom, which would be in
- 6:11Speaker 3: front of all of her student friends. This is a
- 6:13Speaker 3: six year old child, by the way, and then continued
- 6:16Speaker 3: on to say he had also thoughts about bringing a
- 6:20Speaker 3: gun to the cafeteria and shooting children as they sat
- 6:23Speaker 3: and ate.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Okay, so real quick.
- 6:25Speaker 6: If that happened on the twenty third, today is the
- 6:28Speaker 6: eighth of October. Yes, when was this pos walked out
- 6:32Speaker 6: of the classroom?
- 6:33Speaker 5: That's the question.
- 6:34Speaker 3: So that is the good question. Now the story asked
- 6:37Speaker 3: all today and yesterday. That's the big issue is like parents,
- 6:41Speaker 3: can imagine other faculty here just losing their minds because
- 6:45Speaker 3: they weren't really sure, I guess. Sable Point Assistant Principal
- 6:48Speaker 3: Melissa niche Nycz said, the lack of communication left as vulnerable.
- 6:53Speaker 3: It left our family searching for answers online elsewhere. It
- 6:56Speaker 3: left our principal the subject of vitriolic attacks. And the
- 7:00Speaker 3: principal is the one that's catching it pretty well. Someone
- 7:02Speaker 3: Old County Superintendent Soriita Beeman said she's done that. They
- 7:06Speaker 3: are claiming that she's done nothing to protect children from
- 7:09Speaker 3: that para professional. That para professional actually self reported to
- 7:12Speaker 3: the school resource officer.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, imagine if they hadn't and here and again,
- 7:18Speaker 6: I mean.
- 7:20Speaker 5: What could she have reported if he's self reported.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Were there other statements made? Where was their behavior they've seen?
- 7:28Speaker 3: That's the thing is I do not understand because I've
- 7:30Speaker 3: read both of these stories. And look again, nobody wants
- 7:34Speaker 3: to be more angry than I am, but people who
- 7:35Speaker 3: don't do their job. But it doesn't really say how
- 7:39Speaker 3: that turned into a situation where they knew about it
- 7:41Speaker 3: and then swept it under the rug. And that's what
- 7:43Speaker 3: people were yelling at during this during this meeting, like
- 7:46Speaker 3: you know, what else have you swept under the rug?
- 7:47Speaker 3: What else have you not told us?
- 7:48Speaker 1: You know?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. But the guy self reported, So I
- 7:51Speaker 3: don't really know what the thing. Ray said. It was terrible,
- 7:54Speaker 3: like he you know, he was he was out of
- 7:55Speaker 3: his mind because you know, he has three kids, all
- 7:58Speaker 3: kind of in this age group that would be maybe
- 8:00Speaker 3: elementary school, middle school. It's not just Ray, we're all
- 8:03Speaker 3: you know, I have kids, mind mind, we're out of school.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I dealt with the middle school issue with a shooter
- 8:07Speaker 3: on board in the school.
- 8:10Speaker 6: You don't I mother you two, I don't have children.
- 8:12Speaker 6: I just treat you like your kids sometimes. Thank you,
- 8:15Speaker 6: You're welcome, honey, Yeah, I have an apple for you.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Says, we should have been aware. We should have known
- 8:20Speaker 3: from the moment it happened to be on the lookout
- 8:22Speaker 3: for him and to call a code read if we
- 8:24Speaker 3: saw him anywhere on or near campus. It's very simple.
- 8:27Speaker 3: So I guess what happened is is when this guy
- 8:30Speaker 3: told this to the resource officer, they didn't spread the
- 8:33Speaker 3: word around the school that this guy was that guy.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So that's what happens. Like So if had he, I guess,
- 8:39Speaker 3: come back on.
- 8:39Speaker 5: Campus right, and the teachers wouldn't have known to code
- 8:43Speaker 5: reading exactly.
- 8:43Speaker 3: They would have just baby just said, oh, how you doing,
- 8:45Speaker 3: whatever the guy's name is, and can you continued on
- 8:49Speaker 3: throughout their day.
- 8:50Speaker 6: That is terrifying, horrifying as a parent, as a teachers,
- 8:54Speaker 6: as an employee of the school.
- 8:56Speaker 3: You know, says we should have been aware. We should
- 8:58Speaker 3: have been known for We should have known from the
- 9:00Speaker 3: moment it happened to be on the lookout for him
- 9:02Speaker 3: and call it code read if we saw him anywhere
- 9:04Speaker 3: near a campus. It's very simple. This is Shennon Stokes
- 9:07Speaker 3: or principal wanted to tell everyone's staff and parents, but
- 9:10Speaker 3: we were told not to. That's when school board member
- 9:13Speaker 3: Abby Sanchez says that this must be addressed. When something's
- 9:17Speaker 3: not right, you don't do it correctly, you take ownership.
- 9:19Speaker 3: We need to figure this out. We need to get
- 9:20Speaker 3: to the bottom of it. We can't allow this to happen,
- 9:23Speaker 3: and we need to dig deeper. Speaking from her heart,
- 9:25Speaker 3: my apologies for it happening.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Well, here's the other question.
- 9:29Speaker 6: Where's the onus on the school resource officer that this
- 9:31Speaker 6: paraprofessional self reported to.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Wouldn't the bucks stop with.
- 9:36Speaker 3: The Yeah, that guy should have run to the prince.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Yeah, you are the school resource officer.
- 9:41Speaker 6: You're the law enforcement presence that's supposed to be that
- 9:44Speaker 6: stop gap between teachers, students' principles and someone who would
- 9:48Speaker 6: harm other people.
- 9:49Speaker 3: So let me ask a crime.
- 9:51Speaker 6: I don't think the principal dropped the ball as much
- 9:53Speaker 6: as the school resource officer.
- 9:54Speaker 3: I would agree with is that a crime? No, if
- 9:58Speaker 3: I walked up to a school rec source officer and said, hey, look,
- 10:01Speaker 3: you know I've been being picked on by this kid
- 10:02Speaker 3: in my special needs class, and I have to tell
- 10:05Speaker 3: you I've gotten some uncomfortably, uncomfortably angry thoughts. I thought
- 10:10Speaker 3: about cutting your throat. I thought about beating her to
- 10:12Speaker 3: death in front of her own classmates in the classroom.
- 10:15Speaker 3: And then I also thought about bringing a gun to
- 10:17Speaker 3: school and shooting a bunch of them into cafeteria. If
- 10:20Speaker 3: you admit that to an officer, a school resource officer,
- 10:22Speaker 3: is that a crime? Can you be arrested for that?
- 10:24Speaker 5: I think it could be baker acted.
- 10:26Speaker 3: That was another thing that was mentioned in the story
- 10:29Speaker 3: from yesterday.
- 10:29Speaker 5: I would see it more as a bake wreck because.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Before that charmed to self or others.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Exactly, because up until then it's just thoughts and feelings.
- 10:36Speaker 6: It's nothing actionable. He didn't show up to school with
- 10:39Speaker 6: a weapon.
- 10:40Speaker 3: None of this was carried out. Of course, we would
- 10:42Speaker 3: have heard about that at length. Did not happen, thank god.
- 10:45Speaker 3: And I don't know what's going to go on out there, man.
- 10:47Speaker 3: If I have any any parents from Sable Point Elementary
- 10:50Speaker 3: listening to us, and if you guys are at the
- 10:52Speaker 3: meeting of us yesterday, I would love to hear from
- 10:55Speaker 3: it from you guys about what you were thinking about,
- 10:57Speaker 3: what was going on what you were told yesterday in
- 10:59Speaker 3: the meat.
- 11:00Speaker 8: What was made public about the para professional who had
- 11:04Speaker 8: these claims? Was there anything about their history that was
- 11:07Speaker 8: revealed that I.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Don't know what it is.
- 11:08Speaker 6: Our texting service is weighing in at seven seven zero
- 11:11Speaker 6: three one. Now this is all would be reportedly or alleged.
- 11:16Speaker 6: But someone texted said it gets worse than that.
- 11:19Speaker 5: It's Sable.
- 11:19Speaker 6: He was caught masturbating in a parking lot as well
- 11:22Speaker 6: a few times, but never charged. It wasn't at Sable though,
- 11:26Speaker 6: so apparently he's had issues at other schools.
- 11:28Speaker 5: And that's from right, absolutely unbarrassed.
- 11:33Speaker 3: And then another text edited that he asked the SRO
- 11:36Speaker 3: to be baker acted, so the school resource officer, that's
- 11:39Speaker 3: why he went to them. He asked to be corrected.
- 11:41Speaker 5: And then they couldn't tell anybody because of hippolass.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Yes, right, I would assume, yeah, I would think that,
- 11:49Speaker 3: Oh man.
- 11:51Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 11:51Speaker 3: That's a wouldn't you still be able to call a
- 11:53Speaker 3: staff meeting or send a staff email? And said that
- 11:55Speaker 3: we had a pair of resource officer that still it's
- 12:00Speaker 3: no longer with the school, and if you see this
- 12:02Speaker 3: person on campus, be sure to alert the principle immediately.
- 12:07Speaker 3: And that's not a violation of hippo laws, right, You're
- 12:10Speaker 3: just simply saying, this guy's on the campus anymore, he's
- 12:12Speaker 3: not allowed to be here. If you see this cat,
- 12:14Speaker 3: you run to the principal's office and let us know where,
- 12:17Speaker 3: lock your doors move forward.
- 12:18Speaker 8: That would be the yeah, you know, acceptable minimum round
- 12:23Speaker 8: you should be able to do.
- 12:24Speaker 3: But I guess the parents, faculty, everybody's pissed off that
- 12:27Speaker 3: they weren't notified about this guy being on the campus
- 12:31Speaker 3: and having those thoughts and saying those things. So as
- 12:34Speaker 3: we move through the day, hopefully we can get some
- 12:36Speaker 3: people from a Salle Point Elementary maybe to call in
- 12:38Speaker 3: some parents, maybe some faculty members, whatever the case may be,
- 12:41Speaker 3: and kind of shed some more light on this as
- 12:42Speaker 3: we move forward. Four oh seven nine six four one. Again,
- 12:46Speaker 3: you can text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Your three o'clock keyword is bills b i LS. Slide
- 12:52Speaker 3: over to real radio dot FM and send that away
- 12:53Speaker 3: for your chance at one thousand dollars. DEBB got some news?
- 12:56Speaker 5: Oh, do we have some news, gentlemen.
- 12:58Speaker 6: A man is arrested for starting to lay that became
- 13:01Speaker 6: the Palisades fire. Like I've always said, there's always a
- 13:04Speaker 6: Florida connection. Closer to home. A bill would require Florida's
- 13:08Speaker 6: public colleges to name Rhodes after Charlie Kirk. And let's
- 13:12Speaker 6: just say unusual contraband is found inside a Polk County inmate.
- 13:20Speaker 6: Oh ho, gentlemen, Oh, whether you're ready or not.
- 13:25Speaker 3: If you say it's inside an inmate and then you
- 13:27Speaker 3: make a noise like that, you're leaving a whole lot
- 13:30Speaker 3: to the imagination.
- 13:31Speaker 6: Oh well, Grady Judd's going to clear that up for you,
- 13:34Speaker 6: and more coming up next during JCS News right.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Seven seven zero three on to take little break, will
- 13:38Speaker 3: come back and get Deb's news and more than Jim
- 13:39Speaker 3: Colbert Shows. Stay right there, The.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Jim Colbert Show on YouTube, Same Pretty Faces, New address,
- 13:48Speaker 2: Reel Radio, dot FM, Slash.
- 13:50Speaker 9: Watch, Jimmy.
- 13:53Speaker 10: A hard green boot is actually shutting off your computer
- 13:58Speaker 10: at the power source and then restarting it that way
- 14:03Speaker 10: hitting the reset button.
- 14:05Speaker 11: What keeps all that.
- 14:06Speaker 10: Crap and memory in memory and that's why it takes
- 14:11Speaker 10: so long to fix it. Thanks, buddy, Just shut the
- 14:14Speaker 10: whole thing down, wait about fifteen seconds, all right, and
- 14:18Speaker 10: then turn the computer back.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Appreciate that, buddy, thanks for calling. I appreciate that money.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Seven seven zero three one. That's how you text us.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Thank god. Bill's is your three o'clock keyword? B I
- 14:30Speaker 3: LS just slide over the roll ready of that FM
- 14:32Speaker 3: and send that away for your chance at one thousand
- 14:34Speaker 3: dollars and maybe we can get a text to explain
- 14:36Speaker 3: that as well. Okay, I'm Jim Jacke's writer over there,
- 14:39Speaker 3: and deb has your news.
- 14:41Speaker 2: All right, Billy, it's time for JCS news.
- 14:46Speaker 4: This guy got to put his name on everything.
- 14:47Speaker 3: It's in my contract ed.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Here's the news on the Jim Colber Show.
- 14:52Speaker 6: And JCS News brought to you by that mortgage guy. Don,
- 14:55Speaker 6: a twenty nine year old man, is behind bars in
- 14:58Speaker 6: connection with the deadly Palisades fire in California. US attorney
- 15:02Speaker 6: Bill Asili suggests the suspect may have been planning on
- 15:06Speaker 6: setting the fire months in advance.
- 15:09Speaker 7: The allegations in the affidavit are supported by digital evidence,
- 15:13Speaker 7: including the defendant's chat ChiPT prompt of a dystopian painting
- 15:18Speaker 7: showing in part a burning forest and a crowd fleeing
- 15:22Speaker 7: from it.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Jonathan Rinderneck, a former resident of Pacific Palisades. Was arrested
- 15:28Speaker 6: in Melbourne in central Florida on Tuesday, scheduled to appear
- 15:32Speaker 6: in federal court in Orlando this afternoon. Is accused of
- 15:35Speaker 6: intentionally starting the Lachman Fire shortly after midnight on New
- 15:39Speaker 6: Year's Day when he finished his uber shift. The fire
- 15:42Speaker 6: was put out, but continued to smolder underground. Strong Santa
- 15:46Speaker 6: Ana wins caused it to flare back up on January seventh,
- 15:49Speaker 6: becoming the Palisades Fire, one of the most destructive fires
- 15:53Speaker 6: in California history that left twelve people dead. The US
- 15:56Speaker 6: Attorney says rinder Neck was initially interviewed by authorities on
- 16:00Speaker 6: Anuary twenty fourth. He allegedly lied to them about where
- 16:03Speaker 6: he was on the night the Lachman fires started. He's
- 16:06Speaker 6: facing arson charges among many others apparently like faces like
- 16:10Speaker 6: only up to twenty years in prison.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Which is amazing. He should face life in prison because
- 16:14Speaker 3: did Jack give any the idea what that thing cost?
- 16:17Speaker 8: Oh?
- 16:17Speaker 3: Oh, the Palisades. I'm gonna guess fifteen billion dollars estimates
- 16:23Speaker 3: I've seen estimates at two hundred and fifty billion, Oh
- 16:26Speaker 3: my gosh, yeah, to two hundred and seventy five billion.
- 16:28Speaker 3: A UCLA forecast estimated total property losses would range from
- 16:32Speaker 3: ninety four to one hundred and sixty four billion dollars.
- 16:35Speaker 3: So is twenty years in prison. That dude could be
- 16:37Speaker 3: out and enjoying his life at fifty five years old
- 16:39Speaker 3: after causing death and multiple billions of dollars in damage.
- 16:46Speaker 8: That was Is that with all the homes? Yes, so Malibu,
- 16:50Speaker 8: it's all right.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Yeah, the total cost of the Palaici's fire isn't a
- 16:53Speaker 3: single figure, but a range of economic property losses. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 3: with the range going from two fifty to two seventy five.
- 16:58Speaker 3: He had. Remember, some of the most defensive property in
- 17:01Speaker 3: the entire country is on that coast and in that area. Yep.
- 17:05Speaker 5: I mean that's why all the celebrities live there, you know.
- 17:07Speaker 3: But also regular people too.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yea.
- 17:10Speaker 3: They infected so many people who were just in their lives.
- 17:14Speaker 3: But for one of those houses, you pay for an
- 17:15Speaker 3: entire neighborhood of quote regular people. Your ten and a
- 17:19Speaker 3: half million dollar house, Yes, in California is like seven
- 17:23Speaker 3: or nine or ten normal houses in California. Outside of
- 17:26Speaker 3: the Palisades area, there are multiple of those burned down
- 17:29Speaker 3: streets full of ten million dollar houses burned to the
- 17:32Speaker 3: ground to the slab.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Along with other people.
- 17:35Speaker 6: What'll be interesting is that they said they know the motive,
- 17:38Speaker 6: but they're not going to talk about the motive just yet.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Do we know why he was in Melbourne, Florida? That's
- 17:43Speaker 3: where I think his mom lived or something.
- 17:44Speaker 6: That's where he lives now, that's yeah, he was a
- 17:46Speaker 6: resident of Pacific Palisades, but apparently I've been trying to
- 17:49Speaker 6: find he is a Floridian.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Wow, Florida man always strikes again.
- 17:55Speaker 7: All right.
- 17:55Speaker 6: There could be a crucial development in the criminal case
- 17:57Speaker 6: against former Osciola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez. One of his
- 18:00Speaker 6: co defendants in an illegal gambling ring that spanned four
- 18:04Speaker 6: counties pled guilty Monday. Another is expected to plead guilty
- 18:08Speaker 6: next week. Lopez is charged with racketeering and conspiracy. His
- 18:11Speaker 6: trial is due to start next month in Lake County,
- 18:15Speaker 6: but as lawyer said yesterday, she filed a motion to
- 18:17Speaker 6: change the venue back to Ostila County, the belief being
- 18:21Speaker 6: with his defense attorneys that he was a very popular
- 18:24Speaker 6: sheriff and Ostiola County was elected twice and so a
- 18:27Speaker 6: jury of his peers may be a little bit more
- 18:29Speaker 6: lenient in Ostila County than if it were in Lake County.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Ridiej. They start rolling that evidence out.
- 18:35Speaker 5: You know, when I heard the word likely of acquittal,
- 18:37Speaker 5: I thought.
- 18:38Speaker 3: What that?
- 18:39Speaker 5: No, man, Once the evidence is that, you're.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Not going to make a move on cops if they
- 18:42Speaker 3: don't have the dead nuns to get out of here.
- 18:44Speaker 3: He knows that better than anybody.
- 18:45Speaker 6: A judge will hear his change of venue case. On
- 18:47Speaker 6: October fourteenth, a Jacksonville man is asking Florida's highest court
- 18:52Speaker 6: to now spare his life. Patrick McDowell was sentenced to
- 18:56Speaker 6: death for killing Nassau County Deputy Joshua Moyer's a twenty
- 19:00Speaker 6: twenty one traffic stop. His attorneys are appealing to the
- 19:03Speaker 6: Florida Supreme Court seeking a life sentence and a new
- 19:07Speaker 6: penalty phase without victim impact statements. Oh bet, jury had
- 19:13Speaker 6: voted eleven to one to recommend a death sentence.
- 19:15Speaker 5: And I remember this McDowell.
- 19:17Speaker 6: After McDowell told them he wanted to die for his crime,
- 19:21Speaker 6: he basically said, do not spare me. I should be
- 19:23Speaker 6: put to death for this. I took this man's life
- 19:25Speaker 6: during a traffic stop. Funny how a few years.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Will go change my mind, and don't let victims talk
- 19:31Speaker 5: about what I did. Prison food ain't that bad, right exactly?
- 19:34Speaker 3: I got a boyfriend. That's something to live for, right.
- 19:39Speaker 9: Much.
- 19:40Speaker 3: They're so soft, they're so soft, all right.
- 19:43Speaker 6: A Florida lawmaker wants to stop mid decade redistricting Miami Gardens.
- 19:48Speaker 6: Democratic state Senator Shervin Jones filed a bill that would
- 19:51Speaker 6: only permit new political maps to be drawn in the
- 19:55Speaker 6: second year following the federal census. The move comes as
- 19:59Speaker 6: republicanly pushed to redraw congressional lines before the twenty twenty
- 20:03Speaker 6: six elections. Jones says the bill protects voters and keeps
- 20:07Speaker 6: politics out of the process.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Yeah for sure, all right.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Another Florida state lawmaker wants public universities to pay tribute
- 20:14Speaker 6: to slay conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Dade City Republican Representative
- 20:19Speaker 6: Kevin Steele filed a bill yesterday that would do just that.
- 20:22Speaker 6: House Bill one thirteen would require roads or portions of
- 20:27Speaker 6: roads on public college campuses to be named for the
- 20:30Speaker 6: Turning Point USA founder. Those who don't comply with loose
- 20:34Speaker 6: state funding.
- 20:35Speaker 3: What are we doing here? It's unbelievable, It is un believable.
- 20:41Speaker 3: When I read that story this morning, I'm like, what
- 20:43Speaker 3: is happening? Like, what's happening?
- 20:47Speaker 5: I don't get it, none of us do.
- 20:49Speaker 3: He did not hold office. Look, I mean, Charlie, Charlie Kirk.
- 20:51Speaker 3: He did his thing, but he was a podcaster, an influencer,
- 20:55Speaker 3: for lack of a better word, like forcing forcing call
- 21:00Speaker 3: just to rename like they wanted the University of Florida.
- 21:03Speaker 3: I think it's called Stadium Road. I guess it leads
- 21:05Speaker 3: into they want to change that to Charlie Kirk Road
- 21:08Speaker 3: of something.
- 21:09Speaker 5: Then they'll lose funding if they don't do it correct.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Now, in the meantime, there's another story by the way
- 21:15Speaker 3: around the Charlie Kirk thing. This even to me, it's
- 21:17Speaker 3: to me, it's almost as egregious. I'll tell you a
- 21:20Speaker 3: little bit of that, a little about that later.
- 21:22Speaker 5: All right.
- 21:22Speaker 6: Well, in the meantime, there are already threats to deface
- 21:25Speaker 6: the new Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway signs, at least in
- 21:27Speaker 6: Lake County. So the Florida Department of Transportation plans to
- 21:31Speaker 6: install cameras near the signs due to those reported threats.
- 21:35Speaker 5: They were installed just last week.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Do you hear that one that someone wants to deface him. Well,
- 21:41Speaker 3: I guess there's a there's supposed to be other signs
- 21:43Speaker 3: going up for for Charlie Kirk highways or whatever, and
- 21:48Speaker 3: they're gonna put They're gonna put cameras to keep people
- 21:51Speaker 3: from defacing the signs. They're gonna they're gonna fund that.
- 21:55Speaker 5: You don't mind paying for it, though, do you.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I've had a little bit of a loss for this,
- 22:00Speaker 3: you and me both, it's any both. I mean, I
- 22:02Speaker 3: don't think was there this big of a fervor when
- 22:04Speaker 3: rush Limbaugh passed away? No, like the like the the
- 22:08Speaker 3: he is that.
- 22:09Speaker 5: He wasn't murdered, it doesn't matter.
- 22:11Speaker 1: He was.
- 22:11Speaker 3: His voice was way bigger than Charlie Kirk's. He was
- 22:14Speaker 3: started all of it. There is no Charlie Kirk without
- 22:17Speaker 3: Rush Limbaugh. And I mean I know that there's a
- 22:19Speaker 3: Rushlan Ball Road, but I don't remember the fervor like
- 22:22Speaker 3: this anyway.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Good, I'm sorry, all right.
- 22:26Speaker 6: They're there to deliver a copy of their thirty under
- 22:30Speaker 6: thirty magazine to Senator Rick Scott's office, profiling young people
- 22:34Speaker 6: who've lost their lives to gun violence.
- 22:36Speaker 9: We think that there is only one way to protect
- 22:40Speaker 9: and to avoid us having to publish a second edition
- 22:42Speaker 9: of this and it's gutten reform and gun laws.
- 22:44Speaker 6: Tony Dapouli, with changed the ref says they wanted to
- 22:47Speaker 6: humanize the epidemic to inspire action. Articles feature the Parkland
- 22:52Speaker 6: and Pulse night club victims, a six year old killed
- 22:55Speaker 6: in a drive by in Miami, and this one that's
- 22:58Speaker 6: just devastating as well at twenty two year year old
- 23:00Speaker 6: woman hit by a stray bullet on I ninety five
- 23:04Speaker 6: driving home from her college graduation at Florida International University. Meanwhile, publics,
- 23:10Speaker 6: we're shopping and gun toting is a pleasure. After the
- 23:14Speaker 6: state Supreme Court ruled the ban on open caerry in
- 23:17Speaker 6: Florida is unconstitutional, the grocery chain is apparently allowing people
- 23:22Speaker 6: to bring their guns into stores. While public spokespeople didn't
- 23:26Speaker 6: respond to a request for comment, and a Sun and
- 23:29Speaker 6: Orlando Sentinel investigation found individual stores aren't fighting the new change. However,
- 23:35Speaker 6: WHN Dixie, Walmart and Sam's Club are still choosing to
- 23:39Speaker 6: ban open carry in their stores. How many locations does
- 23:42Speaker 6: publics have just in the state of Florida, it's not
- 23:45Speaker 6: don't go to Craig Cray six twenty.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Oh, that's a good guess.
- 23:49Speaker 5: I'll go five fifty nine hundred.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Hey, yeah, I know quite a few, right, yeah, all right.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Tropical Storm Jerry still barreling through the Atlantic. The Northern
- 23:59Speaker 6: Leeward Islands are currently under a tropical storm watch. Jerry
- 24:02Speaker 6: still forecasted to gain strength and become a Category one
- 24:05Speaker 6: hurricane by the weekend. Models show it missing Bermuda by
- 24:08Speaker 6: about one hundred miles to the east. Forecasters say Central
- 24:13Speaker 6: Florida will not be impacted by this storm, at least
- 24:16Speaker 6: not us here in the central part of the state.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Cooler weather is finally arriving in Florida.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Right, yes, right, right, right, oh yeah, lows dipping in
- 24:24Speaker 5: the fifties and the.
- 24:25Speaker 3: North Jim's wearing a sweater. Yeah, I guess it's cold.
- 24:28Speaker 3: The weather's always freezing in the air.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Sixties across the central part of the state. By Sunday,
- 24:33Speaker 6: South Florida is going to stay a little warmer like usual,
- 24:36Speaker 6: but hies will drop slightly into the mid eighties.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Ooh.
- 24:39Speaker 6: The National Weather Service does have a coastal flood advisory
- 24:42Speaker 6: in effect until eight o'clock tonight for tomorrow rather eight
- 24:47Speaker 6: o'clock tomorrow in Bavard and Felusha Counties. I don't know
- 24:49Speaker 6: if you guys have seen any of the news of
- 24:51Speaker 6: the roads already flooding. Yes, so isolated road closures are expected.
- 24:55Speaker 6: And again forecasters also worn of dangerous rip currents and
- 24:58Speaker 6: urge drivers to a void flooded roads.
- 25:02Speaker 5: Speaking of the.
- 25:02Speaker 6: Beach, Lucia County may be becoming more dog friendly. The
- 25:06Speaker 6: county Council voted yesterday to allow dogs on a stretch
- 25:10Speaker 6: of coast in Daytona Beach. It runs over one and
- 25:13Speaker 6: a half miles between the Williams Avenue and Seabreeze Boulevard approaches. Now,
- 25:18Speaker 6: this is cool. The nonprofit Daytona Dog Beach, Inc. Has
- 25:22Speaker 6: volunteered to serve and maintain the beach, just like it
- 25:26Speaker 6: does at another location in Ormond Beach. Right, because you
- 25:29Speaker 6: can't count on people to do their no, no, no,
- 25:33Speaker 6: sure can't you.
- 25:34Speaker 8: Actually you can count on them not to do that,
- 25:37Speaker 8: right exactly.
- 25:39Speaker 6: Another vote will be needed before the Daytona Beach location
- 25:43Speaker 6: is finalized. All right, with our last few minutes, let's
- 25:46Speaker 6: have a little bit of fun, shall we. A man
- 25:49Speaker 6: and a woman from Northport. This is over on the
- 25:52Speaker 6: Gulf Coast are facing charges after police say they left
- 25:55Speaker 6: a juvenile along the side of I seventy five, Marinsota
- 26:00Speaker 6: County because he didn't want to take along on a
- 26:03Speaker 6: spur of the moment trip to Guam.
- 26:07Speaker 5: Idaho.
- 26:08Speaker 6: What Yeah, adults are like, hey, let's go to guam
- 26:13Speaker 6: or Idaho, and the teen's like, yeah, no, dude, I
- 26:15Speaker 6: don't want to do that. So they pull over on
- 26:17Speaker 6: the side of ICE seventy five. We're investigators, and they
- 26:20Speaker 6: put his ass out where investigators say Bradley Santos and
- 26:24Speaker 6: Rosanella Borja told the juvenile to quote take care of
- 26:27Speaker 6: the house end quote before they drove away, not before
- 26:32Speaker 6: leaving him with some cash.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Oh, I was gonna say, with money.
- 26:37Speaker 5: And a couple of guns.
- 26:38Speaker 3: It does matter. Guns, great choices all around. I love this.
- 26:43Speaker 3: How much cash? What caliber gun?
- 26:46Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 26:47Speaker 3: Does it say how much cash? How much have those guns?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Will getting jack?
- 26:51Speaker 6: I don't know, but I have a feeling they're not
- 26:53Speaker 6: going to guam or Idaho.
- 26:56Speaker 3: The houses in Florida. The house is in Floridas, in Idaho.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Don't how a lot?
- 27:01Speaker 3: How far were they away from home and they put
- 27:03Speaker 3: his ass out? Does it say no.
- 27:04Speaker 6: It doesn't say well, they were taken into custody at
- 27:08Speaker 6: a parking lot and with schula, so I'm not that bad.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Do you care of the house?
- 27:13Speaker 3: It was uberble, I guess.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Before leaving him.
- 27:15Speaker 6: My favorite part is with some cash and a couple
- 27:19Speaker 6: of guns.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I got an uncle that would have done that
- 27:21Speaker 3: and be like, We're gonna go up here and get
- 27:24Speaker 3: some We're gonna go up here and get some stuff.
- 27:26Speaker 3: You coming with us? Nope, get out? Would adjust that simple?
- 27:30Speaker 3: May slow down, no, tops, pull up to a rest stop.
- 27:33Speaker 8: This kid, he's got a handful of cash and two guns.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Santo's in Florida. I got bad news, dude, I got
- 27:41Speaker 3: horrible news.
- 27:44Speaker 6: Exactly How do you explain that one to the deputies
- 27:46Speaker 6: who pull over? Ah, but over in winter Haven. Oh
- 27:54Speaker 6: here we go, gentlemen, strap in and get ready.
- 27:57Speaker 3: How many dead solid sound bites do we have from
- 27:59Speaker 3: great this year?
- 28:00Speaker 5: Have too many to count?
- 28:01Speaker 3: I do a little research. We should do that like
- 28:03Speaker 3: a sound bite mash up at the end of the
- 28:05Speaker 3: year of all the local Florida Sheresa and the most
- 28:09Speaker 3: Florida s of all time.
- 28:10Speaker 5: And this is going to include this one. Yeah, we're
- 28:12Speaker 5: Polpe County Sheriff Grady Judd likes to say, quote, you
- 28:15Speaker 5: can't make this stuff up end quote, and maybe you
- 28:18Speaker 5: don't want to ask too many questions about some of
- 28:20Speaker 5: the details of this one. Fifty one year old Walter
- 28:24Speaker 5: Freimeyer is recovering after his arrest on trespassing and drug charges.
- 28:30Speaker 5: He was found to be naked in the county park
- 28:32Speaker 5: and then walked over to some train tracks, where he
- 28:35Speaker 5: was subsequently arrested and, more to the point, his subsequent surgery.
- 28:41Speaker 5: After deputies ran him through a body scan when he
- 28:43Speaker 5: was booked into the jail and could not believe what
- 28:48Speaker 5: they saw. He brought a thermost into the jail. Wow,
- 28:52Speaker 5: that's right.
- 28:53Speaker 1: He put it up the exit ramp.
- 28:55Speaker 9: You know what I mean?
- 28:57Speaker 5: Yeah, we do a thermos about this size.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Can I tell you I'm glad it happened to Grady.
- 29:10Speaker 3: I'm glad it happened to Grady. Nobody can appreciate it
- 29:14Speaker 3: more than Grady. Thermos, a thermos? How do you walk?
- 29:21Speaker 5: Deputy, say, Jack's what you're worried about.
- 29:25Speaker 3: That's your first question, not how we got it there?
- 29:28Speaker 3: Do you know you would get the jump off a
- 29:30Speaker 3: roof and land on it, Jack, How much loube does
- 29:33Speaker 3: it take to wedge a thermos into your cavity?
- 29:36Speaker 5: Dou Jack? How much loop.
- 29:40Speaker 3: It takes something? I had a slip pinky one time.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Send me to the ceiling fan, your dog, not a thermos,
- 29:47Speaker 3: a slip pinky. Put me in the ceiling fan.
- 29:49Speaker 5: Bro, you know it. But we do have a show title,
- 29:57Speaker 5: and it wasn't anybody else's pinky.
- 30:04Speaker 3: That's a self inflicted slip.
- 30:08Speaker 5: You show tyl jud says Deputy's actually actually saved fry
- 30:13Speaker 5: Meyer's life by getting him to the hospital and into
- 30:15Speaker 5: surgery quickly. The good news is, folks, fry Meyer is
- 30:19Speaker 5: now quote thermos free in county custody.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Do not go to that Loston founda do not go
- 30:26Speaker 3: to Bolk County Sheriffs lost and found. Don't do it.
- 30:31Speaker 5: What was in it?
- 30:32Speaker 3: What was in the therma?
- 30:34Speaker 5: They haven't said. They just are still amazed.
- 30:37Speaker 3: No one's willing to open it.
- 30:38Speaker 5: No one wants to screw that cap.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Just throwing the fire. Take it into the river, you
- 30:42Speaker 3: know what to do.
- 30:44Speaker 5: And that concludes your j CS news.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Wow, God, let's hope, he said, al right, let's hope
- 30:55Speaker 3: it hurt guess it not. The story behind that is
- 30:59Speaker 3: better than the all right seven seven zero three one.
- 31:03Speaker 3: That's how you text us don't forget bills? Is your
- 31:06Speaker 3: three o'clock you word that's b I L L S.
- 31:08Speaker 5: I bet it was hot.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Coco would be great.
- 31:11Speaker 1: If it was.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Probably loop ironically, all right, back in.
- 31:18Speaker 13: A second, I think that family will get a medal
- 31:34Speaker 13: from the governor for being such good parents. You know,
- 31:38Speaker 13: leaving them home alone teaches them independence, giving them guns
- 31:42Speaker 13: teach them, teaches them how to defend themself, you know,
- 31:45Speaker 13: give them a couple of bucks for food, self sufficient.
- 31:48Speaker 13: I mean it's Florida, you know, drop them off on
- 31:50Speaker 13: the side of the road, just like they do their
- 31:51Speaker 13: dogs down there. I mean, it all makes sense.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Hey, guys, David from Longwood, first time caller, a long
- 32:00Speaker 5: time listener.
- 32:02Speaker 11: I am a paara here in Simla County, and I
- 32:04Speaker 11: just think.
- 32:04Speaker 5: That was kind of asking on that it wouldn't release
- 32:08Speaker 5: that information to the parents and let him know what
- 32:10Speaker 5: was going on and just be.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Hush hush about it.
- 32:13Speaker 8: And in regards to the thermos, I guess it was
- 32:16Speaker 8: take care Stanley to jail day.
- 32:18Speaker 5: So have a good one, guys.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Oh yeah, probably not think only Stanley is gonna be
- 32:23Speaker 3: up there.
- 32:29Speaker 8: Why are you so connecting to this story?
- 32:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought his first comment was gonna be a
- 32:37Speaker 3: thermost going. I'm like I got himuddy. Come on all right,
- 32:40Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Jim Golbert Show, Real Radio one
- 32:43Speaker 3: O four point one. Thanks for tuning in, guys, We
- 32:45Speaker 3: appreciate it, as we do every single day. I got
- 32:47Speaker 3: a few minutes for your three o'clock keyword. That's Bill's
- 32:49Speaker 3: b I l ls slide over to a real radio
- 32:52Speaker 3: out of him and send that. I'll for your chance
- 32:54Speaker 3: of one thousand bucks. I had a winner yesterday, our
- 32:55Speaker 3: boy vic one yesterday. Yeah, turning that atm on today,
- 33:00Speaker 3: So go get that money. Bills is the word. We'll
- 33:01Speaker 3: have a freshie for you at the top of the hour, Jim.
- 33:04Speaker 3: There's deb Jack's ear as well. Oh yeah, it's funny,
- 33:08Speaker 3: yeah money dude.
- 33:10Speaker 6: Who doesn't love Aaron Judge today?
- 33:13Speaker 3: That Toronto Blue Jays you. The funny thing is I'm
- 33:17Speaker 3: sitting there last night or this morning, and I did
- 33:19Speaker 3: not know I actually tuned into the Yankees game right
- 33:22Speaker 3: before we started watching TV your hour shows. I wanted
- 33:25Speaker 3: to see the what was the score when you looked
- 33:27Speaker 3: in it was only two Oh oh okay, it was
- 33:30Speaker 3: like the second or third inning. That was a mild anger. Right.
- 33:32Speaker 3: So then I right before I go to bed, I
- 33:35Speaker 3: checked the score and that's like, you know, nine thirty
- 33:37Speaker 3: ten or something like that. I checked the score and
- 33:38Speaker 3: it's like six o. And I'm like, oh, Jack, is
- 33:40Speaker 3: gonna be unbearable tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, it looks tough. And
- 33:44Speaker 3: then and then they just went ham dude, I just
- 33:47Speaker 3: went crazy. A couple of errors, Judge grand slam three runner.
- 33:53Speaker 8: Three runner a home run to tie the game. Then
- 33:55Speaker 8: so Judge took the lead. But yeah, they clawed their
- 33:58Speaker 8: way back into an elimination game. Next game is tonight
- 34:01Speaker 8: at seven, uh, and they must win again of course.
- 34:05Speaker 8: Ultimate game five on Friday.
- 34:07Speaker 3: And I gotta tell you, man, the Blue Jays put
- 34:08Speaker 3: the ball in play, dude. That's the thing in baseball.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I don't care what level you're at. Just get the
- 34:13Speaker 3: ball on play. You have a much better opportunity, of course,
- 34:16Speaker 3: at scoring or getting on base. And that's the key.
- 34:19Speaker 3: You know, we learned that from the Metrics movie was
- 34:21Speaker 3: it Moneyball? Yeah, you know you're trying to get people
- 34:23Speaker 3: on base that can score, and uh, the Blue Jays
- 34:27Speaker 3: are really good to putting the ball in play.
- 34:28Speaker 8: And good things can happen. Is you know, you put
- 34:31Speaker 8: the ball in the field, good things can happen.
- 34:33Speaker 3: That's right. But you know if if you can't do that,
- 34:36Speaker 3: then they're not going to happen. They get some good
- 34:38Speaker 3: relief pitching too, which has also been in trouble. They
- 34:40Speaker 3: you know, they were they were able to maintain that
- 34:42Speaker 3: lead and not give up any more runs, which is
- 34:44Speaker 3: a big deal. That's some that lefty sub mariner, you
- 34:47Speaker 3: know that that guy. That guy throws it's gnarly o.
- 34:50Speaker 3: How do you hit that? How do you even see
- 34:51Speaker 3: that ball?
- 34:51Speaker 8: He looks like a guy who should be working at
- 34:53Speaker 8: a home depot somewhere. Yeah, but yeah, so blue Jays
- 34:57Speaker 8: have just been on fire those first twould and a
- 35:00Speaker 8: half games. But then then then it chiffs, you know,
- 35:03Speaker 8: and then and we'll see what we get tonight.
- 35:05Speaker 3: One more win tonight, and it's all a new series. Man.
- 35:07Speaker 3: That's that's all you have to do.
- 35:09Speaker 6: But now you know how all sports widows get through
- 35:12Speaker 6: these next weeks and months is if you want to
- 35:15Speaker 6: know what your husband or your co worker is going
- 35:16Speaker 6: to be like check the school.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Yeah, just check the store.
- 35:20Speaker 6: I'm already on like pins and needles for tonight's game
- 35:23Speaker 6: because of course the Cubbies are facing elimination game at
- 35:25Speaker 6: five oh eight, so they.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Played a day at five five. Yep. Yeah, if they win,
- 35:31Speaker 3: then that series is tied it to is it? Really?
- 35:34Speaker 3: That's great, man, that's awesome. I gotta tell you, man,
- 35:37Speaker 3: I don't watch baseball during the but postseason baseball is great.
- 35:40Speaker 3: It really is. I don't care all the way from
- 35:42Speaker 3: the beginning of the series, the Championship Series, of course,
- 35:44Speaker 3: the World Series. Postseason baseball is awesome. It really is
- 35:47Speaker 3: fun to watch.
- 35:49Speaker 8: I love October bak. Yeah, when everything's on the line.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Yeah, go seven seven zero three one. That's how you
- 35:54Speaker 3: text us. You know that callge came in a second ago.
- 35:56Speaker 3: That talkback was kind of interesting. He goes you guys
- 35:59Speaker 3: down there, you know, because obviously he's not from Florida
- 36:01Speaker 3: or you know, we streamed the show, so a lot
- 36:03Speaker 3: of people listen outside of the state of Florida. We
- 36:05Speaker 3: have a bunch of people actually that listen outside the
- 36:08Speaker 3: state of Florida, and we'll get text for them occasionally
- 36:10Speaker 3: or or talkbacks occasionally let us know. They're in North Carolina,
- 36:13Speaker 3: they're in Maine, they're in Vegas, they're in you know wherever.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Last week we got a text from Stockholm.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Sweden exactly. So it's so funny. Do you believe that what?
- 36:24Speaker 3: What state do you believe in the US gets made
- 36:27Speaker 3: fun of the most by other states?
- 36:29Speaker 5: Florida is it?
- 36:30Speaker 3: You know what? For me? For a long time, it
- 36:34Speaker 3: was New Jersey. It was Jersey.
- 36:36Speaker 8: For a while, Jersey used to get in a lot
- 36:38Speaker 8: that I think Florida is kind of And it's coincidentally
- 36:42Speaker 8: the states where I live when I lived there, seemed to.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Be in the state. That's Jack brought the clown show
- 36:49Speaker 3: from Jersey. It takes the brunt of the arrows. Yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 3: it is wild though. Man. There is no Mississippi man.
- 36:55Speaker 5: No.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Yeah, there is no Kentucky man. But there is a
- 36:57Speaker 3: Florida man.
- 36:58Speaker 5: No Wisconsin man, none of that.
- 37:00Speaker 8: I mean, Southeast is known for being ignorant and racist.
- 37:04Speaker 8: But but Florida stands on its own.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Yeah, but Florida, adds adds adds.
- 37:10Speaker 5: That fun crazy uncle.
- 37:12Speaker 3: We add the Charlie Sheen to that.
- 37:14Speaker 5: No, we're more Gary Busey.
- 37:17Speaker 11: Yeah, we're more.
- 37:22Speaker 5: She is still California, all Florida.
- 37:25Speaker 3: I think California gets it a bit right because of
- 37:27Speaker 3: how that left, that crazy left coast thing.
- 37:29Speaker 8: They yeah, really well, the eccentric when you have it's
- 37:34Speaker 8: what gets attention, right. So it's more of the celebrity.
- 37:38Speaker 8: The artists and people are drawn to that area and
- 37:43Speaker 8: so and those are the ones that get you know,
- 37:45Speaker 8: they make a living out of getting publicity.
- 37:49Speaker 3: So that's what you're seeing over there.
- 37:50Speaker 6: But there ain't no one throwing a gator through a
- 37:52Speaker 6: Wendy's drive through a window anywhere in California.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Every other day. There's not some kangaroo or alligator walking
- 37:57Speaker 3: into your publics going to the Delhi exactly, which seems
- 38:00Speaker 3: like happens to every other f and day in Florida.
- 38:02Speaker 3: And I'll tell you, you know, we're such a transient state.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Yeah that you know, all the other near to wells
- 38:06Speaker 3: across the nation who don't want to freeze to death
- 38:08Speaker 3: when it gets to November, we wind up catching them.
- 38:11Speaker 3: I think Texas has maybe you got a little up
- 38:12Speaker 3: right now.
- 38:13Speaker 9: It does.
- 38:13Speaker 6: In fact, do you remember like the Jerry Springer and
- 38:15Speaker 6: the Maury Povit shows yea of course The top three
- 38:18Speaker 6: states where they would get their audience members were California, Texas,
- 38:21Speaker 6: and Florida because we always brought the crazy.
- 38:23Speaker 3: That's straight tracks.
- 38:25Speaker 8: Texas says they're from Tennessee, and I know we have
- 38:28Speaker 8: a couple of listeners from Tennessee.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Yeah, we have fun in Charleston, South Carolina.
- 38:33Speaker 14: Carolina.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I know that when we You know, when you
- 38:35Speaker 3: go somewhere, like you know, on the cruise ship and
- 38:37Speaker 3: you you tell people you're from Florida and you're playing
- 38:39Speaker 3: like we're playing poker. You're sitting there for hours, you know,
- 38:42Speaker 3: it's inevitable the conversation strike up and they do they
- 38:45Speaker 3: ask you like you're from another country. Hey, man, tell
- 38:47Speaker 3: me this. Yeah, do people really watch walk around like
- 38:51Speaker 3: guns and machetes? Do people really? And I'm like, yes, yes, yes,
- 38:55Speaker 3: I said, do this dude, just dream it up? And
- 38:57Speaker 3: the answer yes.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Do iguanas really fall out of it trees and it's cold?
- 39:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 39:01Speaker 3: Yeah, Sure. Are the random shootings like every other half
- 39:04Speaker 3: an hour?
- 39:04Speaker 5: Yes, exactly, Yes, man, that's what we do here.
- 39:08Speaker 6: I mean, you've got to have a chef's kiss amount
- 39:11Speaker 6: of crazy for Grand Theft Auto to actually give enough
- 39:14Speaker 6: about your state. We have a whole game coming out
- 39:17Speaker 6: about Florida.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Right, Oh yeah, right, that's true.
- 39:20Speaker 8: I mean that it was basically New York, California, and
- 39:23Speaker 8: Florida are the three locales for their That's right.
- 39:27Speaker 3: I wouldn't want to fight Florida though.
- 39:29Speaker 5: No, you do not want to fight Florida.
- 39:31Speaker 3: If Florida was a person, I would not. Florida will
- 39:33Speaker 3: bite you, but Florida will kick you in the nuts.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Florida will do everything it takes. It'll poke your eyes out.
- 39:40Speaker 3: I would not want to fight Florida if Florida was
- 39:43Speaker 3: a person, not a chance.
- 39:44Speaker 6: If Florida were a rug, you would not want to
- 39:47Speaker 6: get dragged across, would you imagine?
- 39:51Speaker 5: Yeah, that's that's you don't want.
- 39:53Speaker 3: To Yeah, we are break your skin on. Yeah, we
- 39:56Speaker 3: are the flesh eating bacteria of America. You do not
- 39:59Speaker 3: want to scream up yourself while getting into Florida now,
- 40:02Speaker 3: because let me tell you what. They will eat your
- 40:04Speaker 3: leg while you watch. They do not care. You will
- 40:07Speaker 3: lose a knee in a minute.
- 40:08Speaker 6: Sunshine stable man, I'm proud of it, though, I gotta
- 40:12Speaker 6: tell you I wouldn't live.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't say that. I wouldn't live anywhere else.
- 40:17Speaker 3: I would live somewhere else.
- 40:19Speaker 5: I've lived in California. I think it's I've lived in.
- 40:22Speaker 3: San Diego too, though, right, and it was beautiful.
- 40:24Speaker 5: Very expensive. It's very weird.
- 40:26Speaker 6: There's a there's a vibe on the surface of California,
- 40:29Speaker 6: but you can feel the one that's underneath.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Yeah, well there's a buss just crazy and it doesn't
- 40:34Speaker 5: hide it.
- 40:34Speaker 3: There's a vibe in Florida too. It's just is way different, man.
- 40:38Speaker 3: And I gotta tell you, it's not like you know
- 40:40Speaker 3: it used to be in Florida where you'd go to
- 40:41Speaker 3: the Blue areas Miami, well back in the day, Miami,
- 40:44Speaker 3: you know, Orlando, and you could do the you could
- 40:46Speaker 3: see the you know, the internal part of Florida and
- 40:49Speaker 3: then of course you right here from where we sit.
- 40:51Speaker 3: I can drive eight miles of me and a calfield
- 40:53Speaker 3: uh in Orlando and be in rural Orlando and of
- 40:56Speaker 3: course being quote normal world where it's everyday families and
- 40:59Speaker 3: stuff like that. But when you get in the internal
- 41:01Speaker 3: part of this thing, it gets you know, fun, you know, fun,
- 41:05Speaker 3: very unpredictable.
- 41:06Speaker 5: Bring your penicillin, right, This.

- 42:40Speaker 6: One of our favorite guests as well, doctor Daisy Fiori
- 42:42Speaker 6: from the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. You know
- 42:48Speaker 6: last time she was here, Jimmy, you were gone. I
- 42:51Speaker 6: think it was your golf tournament.
- 42:53Speaker 3: It may have been.
- 42:54Speaker 6: It was a while ago, but that was when we
- 42:55Speaker 6: had Daisy on talking about her Cryptid podcast.
- 42:59Speaker 15: Yes, yes, And since then, I've been to Mothman Festival,
- 43:04Speaker 15: West Virginia.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I lived there for a short period of time.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, there is a big, big deal up there.
- 43:09Speaker 3: A lot of people if you, if you talk ill
- 43:11Speaker 3: about the Mothman, they will for you in the river.
- 43:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it is a big deal, multiple sidings about major
- 43:18Speaker 3: movies starring Richard Gears.
- 43:19Speaker 15: Yes, there's a museum. There's all kinds of stuff. The
- 43:23Speaker 15: festival was twenty five thousand people.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:26Speaker 5: Here, it was a blast.
- 43:27Speaker 9: It was so fun.
- 43:28Speaker 3: I gotta tell you, man, I believe that thing has
- 43:30Speaker 3: probably been spotted as much as the damn Bigfoot. I mean,
- 43:32Speaker 3: there's a there's a spate of sightings. And even though
- 43:35Speaker 3: West Virginia, when you look at it like area wise,
- 43:38Speaker 3: is a relatively small state, it is quite rugged though.
- 43:42Speaker 6: And very There's a lot of like old folklore, like
- 43:45Speaker 6: Appalachian folklore, and superstitions like that are very unique to
- 43:49Speaker 6: that part of the country. Everything from what you don't do,
- 43:52Speaker 6: like old chimneys, dug the landscape that you don't knock down.
- 43:56Speaker 3: There's whole rules out there. And I saw a whole
- 43:58Speaker 3: bunch of mountain new meth. Oh yeah.
- 44:01Speaker 15: West Virginia's big for cryptis. I also went to the
- 44:03Speaker 15: flat Woods Monster Museum.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Oh really, that was fun.
- 44:06Speaker 15: They've got a lot of big Foot sightings. They have
- 44:08Speaker 15: a big Foot museum. I also spent the night in
- 44:12Speaker 15: the trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
- 44:15Speaker 3: That's in Pennsylvania. No, that isn't really yea, it is.
- 44:20Speaker 3: I've heard of that, but I thought it was on
- 44:21Speaker 3: Is it on the border?
- 44:22Speaker 7: There?
- 44:22Speaker 3: Is it closed?
- 44:23Speaker 13: Man?
- 44:23Speaker 3: For some reason, I thought that was associated with Pennsylvania
- 44:25Speaker 3: for some reason.
- 44:25Speaker 7: No.
- 44:26Speaker 15: No, it's pretty deep in West Virginia.
- 44:27Speaker 5: But it's massive.
- 44:29Speaker 15: It's apparently the largest cut sandstone building in the world
- 44:33Speaker 15: other than the Kremlin.
- 44:35Speaker 3: That's right, I remember that. We whoa, I remember we're
- 44:37Speaker 3: reading an entire bit about that thing.
- 44:39Speaker 5: It's crazy, right, yeah, it's really famous.
- 44:41Speaker 15: It didn't close until nineteen ninety six, right, yeah, I know. Yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 15: place was operational until ninety six.
- 44:47Speaker 5: I lived in a little going to open it back
- 44:49Speaker 5: up anygay.
- 44:51Speaker 3: I lived in a little town called Oak Hill, which
- 44:53Speaker 3: is just shy of the New River Gorge Bridge, which
- 44:56Speaker 3: was one of the major like tourist attractions in West Virginia.
- 44:59Speaker 3: They shut that thing down for one or two weekends
- 45:02Speaker 3: a year because it's got double roads and you can
- 45:04Speaker 3: either bungee jump or free base dive or do all
- 45:08Speaker 3: this stuff. And then some of the best rapids in
- 45:10Speaker 3: America run in that state as well. But it is
- 45:13Speaker 3: they call it wild, wonderful West Virginia for a reason.
- 45:16Speaker 3: It is cray if you haven't seen the wild, wonderful
- 45:18Speaker 3: Whites of West Virginia. No, yeah, yeah, jess Sper I
- 45:22Speaker 3: forget this, Jessper White or whatever. He was a famous
- 45:25Speaker 3: clogger and their entire family was just the craziest pillhead maniacs.
- 45:28Speaker 6: I's gonna say, because if you say something about, you know,
- 45:31Speaker 6: West Virginia whites, I'm like, I'm not saying.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Any you ever checked that out? It's a wacky place. Yeah, though,
- 45:38Speaker 3: was good. So you're here with the Audubn Birds of
- 45:41Speaker 3: Prey Society. Of course, I know that we usually have
- 45:43Speaker 3: a little feathered friend with us.
- 45:44Speaker 15: Today birdless today. All our birds were booked solid this week.
- 45:49Speaker 5: I'll be damn really booked solid.
- 45:51Speaker 15: We are so busy right now. We're closed construction. We
- 45:55Speaker 15: hope to be reopen end of the year beginning of
- 45:57Speaker 15: next year, but we were doing so many community events
- 46:01Speaker 15: out and about that the birds. The birds can't work
- 46:04Speaker 15: more than two days a weekly. Yeah, I know, I
- 46:08Speaker 15: know they're spoiled that there were just no birds available.
- 46:11Speaker 3: So busy.
- 46:12Speaker 15: Tomorrow we're at Trout Lake Nature Center north of a
- 46:16Speaker 15: Papka for their fundraiser.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Uh, Saturday, we're out.
- 46:22Speaker 15: And about again. We're up back to Nature Rehab Center
- 46:26Speaker 15: usually Raser. So it's a blast next week where it
- 46:30Speaker 15: come out with Pride at Lake Iola.
- 46:32Speaker 5: It's gonna be huge.
- 46:34Speaker 15: And then the following week we're at Louby Bat Festival
- 46:37Speaker 15: up in Gainesville. I'll be damn come to Louby Bat Festival.
- 46:40Speaker 15: It's for bat conservation. I mean it's a bit of
- 46:43Speaker 15: a drive up to Gainesville. But if you're looking for
- 46:45Speaker 15: something spooky, there's a beer garden.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be awesome.
- 46:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's not that big of a romie.
- 46:49Speaker 3: It's just just north of Bacalo up there. It takes
- 46:52Speaker 3: no time on seventy five to get up there, like
- 46:53Speaker 3: forty maybe Max.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Yeah, Luby's a little further. Okay, music, but like beer garden.
- 47:00Speaker 5: So we were in your garden. Did you hear that
- 47:02Speaker 5: part your garden?
- 47:03Speaker 3: We were in Jamaica recently and we went into this
- 47:05Speaker 3: place called the Green Grotto Cave and you're walking around,
- 47:08Speaker 3: which is in I mean, just amazing. They shot some
- 47:10Speaker 3: double oh seven movies there. It's just a bananas formation
- 47:14Speaker 3: of limestone caves that they you know, you can walk through.
- 47:16Speaker 3: There actually used to be a nightclub in there back
- 47:19Speaker 3: in the day. They turned in club and they shut
- 47:21Speaker 3: that down and then of course protected it. But you'll
- 47:24Speaker 3: walk through and you'll see these stains on the floor
- 47:25Speaker 3: and you can't figure out what's going on. Then you'll
- 47:27Speaker 3: look up, oh yeah, bas and it's the It ain't
- 47:30Speaker 3: these cute little bats you see in Florida.
- 47:32Speaker 9: No big ones.
- 47:33Speaker 3: You can hear these of it's just breathing like these
- 47:35Speaker 3: These are bats. They're like flying cats. Bats.
- 47:38Speaker 15: Well, they've got all kinds of loupy so you can
- 47:40Speaker 15: see the big fruit bag.
- 47:42Speaker 3: I think that's what these were.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, all.
- 47:43Speaker 15: Kinds of back conservation.
- 47:45Speaker 6: Yeah, a lot of hanging upside on, almost like that
- 47:47Speaker 6: goth nightclub video you see on the Instagram.
- 47:50Speaker 15: The hanging backs place for like a goth night club
- 47:53Speaker 15: with the bats, and they were Halloween.
- 47:55Speaker 3: It was wild. I've never seen them news of this before.
- 47:57Speaker 3: There were there were like three hanging in this one
- 47:59Speaker 3: little it was kind of a little hole that was
- 48:01Speaker 3: up in the stone like you see them like they
- 48:03Speaker 3: you know, and they were grooming each other. I've not
- 48:05Speaker 3: seen that behavior before with bats.
- 48:07Speaker 5: Bats are very social.
- 48:09Speaker 15: They're actually one of the only animals proven to act
- 48:12Speaker 15: completely selflessly, like they'll adopt the babies of other bats,
- 48:17Speaker 15: even if they're not related to them, and raise them
- 48:19Speaker 15: just out of the goodness of their heart.
- 48:21Speaker 3: And they get the most. Of course, you know Halloween
- 48:23Speaker 3: coming up. They get a terrible reputation because of all
- 48:26Speaker 3: the vampire movies and stuff. But they're not They're absolutely
- 48:29Speaker 3: fascinating animals.
- 48:30Speaker 5: They're great. But are they pollinators?
- 48:31Speaker 15: They are pollinators, and they actually there's certain things that
- 48:34Speaker 15: can only be pollinated by bats. One of them is chocolate,
- 48:38Speaker 15: no way, yes, and the other is the tequila plants
- 48:42Speaker 15: really got gob they can only be pollinated by bats.
- 48:46Speaker 15: So like, I couldn't live without tequila and chocolate.
- 48:49Speaker 3: So we were just in Mexico. We were just Mexico
- 48:58Speaker 3: on two of the tours. We did tequila and chocolate there.
- 49:01Speaker 6: Well think about yeah, about this Halloween and that those
- 49:04Speaker 6: are ancient crops as well, aren't they.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Yes, And we were in Cosmel and it's funny they
- 49:09Speaker 3: we did this whole tour of uh, this Teguela factory.
- 49:12Speaker 3: They never really mentioned that. That's a fascinating fact. How
- 49:14Speaker 3: can they leave that trying to sell me a bottle.
- 49:17Speaker 6: Fifty bucks exactly without telling you the reason why. It's
- 49:20Speaker 6: just like the whole Bacardi having the bat as their
- 49:23Speaker 6: logo was because when they bought that distillery it was
- 49:26Speaker 6: just full of bats.
- 49:28Speaker 15: And actually Bacarty does a lot of back conservation work
- 49:31Speaker 15: because it's their logo. So I don't know, I always
- 49:34Speaker 15: buy a Bacardi if I'm gonna buy Rome because it.
- 49:37Speaker 12: So why not?
- 49:38Speaker 15: I don't know. We should have a brewery and autumn, right,
- 49:41Speaker 15: you should owl ale or something.
- 49:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that'd be fun for sure.
- 49:48Speaker 3: So let me ask, is the winter approaches. We know
- 49:51Speaker 3: that there are a lot of the birds that we
- 49:53Speaker 3: know are migratory. I don't think any of the I
- 49:55Speaker 3: don't know if raptors are migratory. I know that you
- 49:58Speaker 3: guys there are, are they really? How do you prepare
- 50:01Speaker 3: for that when winter kind of comes in and these
- 50:02Speaker 3: birds usually are maybe going even more south than they
- 50:04Speaker 3: are here into to Florida. How do you guys do that?
- 50:07Speaker 15: Well, we've got two types with three types here. Some
- 50:10Speaker 15: birds come to Florida for the winter because we're pretty warm, right,
- 50:13Speaker 15: Some birds leave and some birds pass through. So right
- 50:17Speaker 15: now our eagles are coming back. So our eagles spend
- 50:20Speaker 15: summer in Canada, so we're getting to yeah too hot,
- 50:25Speaker 15: which that's the right way to do it.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Great fishing up there.
- 50:27Speaker 15: Yeah, yes, So our eagles are coming back, So we're
- 50:31Speaker 15: getting the first of the eagles. So they all come
- 50:33Speaker 15: back to Florida, they go back to their nest and
- 50:35Speaker 15: then they all get in fights over who's going to
- 50:37Speaker 15: be where. So we're getting the territory fight eagles and
- 50:40Speaker 15: right now that have come back and immediately gotten fights
- 50:43Speaker 15: and we get the losers. So we've already got animal rehab,
- 50:52Speaker 15: well that's what they are. So we've already gotten a
- 50:54Speaker 15: couple of them. We've already released a couple. Just this morning,
- 50:58Speaker 15: we released an eagle. Actually, so soon we'll get the
- 51:02Speaker 15: babies because they're all nest building, so the babies will
- 51:06Speaker 15: start falling out of nassas eagle babies do. We have
- 51:10Speaker 15: some of the migratory birds passing through. We actually got
- 51:12Speaker 15: a very exciting bird in the clinic right now. We
- 51:14Speaker 15: have a merlin falcon.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Oh really, whoa Now, what separates that from like the
- 51:18Speaker 3: peregrine or other falcons that you brought in that we've
- 51:21Speaker 3: actually got to experience much rarer.
- 51:23Speaker 15: Oh really, yeah, yeah, so Merlin's only like migrate through here.
- 51:26Speaker 15: So she was on her migration and gotten to some
- 51:29Speaker 15: kind of accident. We're not sure she has a wing injury,
- 51:32Speaker 15: but we actually have not released a Merlin falcon since
- 51:35Speaker 15: twenty thirteen.
- 51:36Speaker 5: Wow, they're that rare.
- 51:39Speaker 15: So we're pretty excited to have her, and we think
- 51:41Speaker 15: she's going to be releasable. We think she'll yeah, and
- 51:44Speaker 15: that's exciting.
- 51:44Speaker 3: And that's relatively relatively rare in itself.
- 51:47Speaker 9: Right.
- 51:47Speaker 3: A lot of the birds that come into the program,
- 51:49Speaker 3: the injuries are too drastic, hit by a car, injured
- 51:52Speaker 3: by another animal, you know, like you're saying in a fight,
- 51:54Speaker 3: didn't turn out so well for them, and you guys
- 51:56Speaker 3: wind up caring for those birds for a while. A
- 51:57Speaker 3: matter of fact, a lot of the birds that you
- 51:59Speaker 3: have part of the program, are those birds, are they not?
- 52:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 52:01Speaker 15: All of our all of our residents came in as
- 52:04Speaker 15: patients can be released. Our release rates about fifty percent,
- 52:07Speaker 15: which is considered very high after world. It depends on
- 52:11Speaker 15: the age group. Babies actually have a much higher release
- 52:13Speaker 15: rate because they you know, their babies, they're yeah, exactly.
- 52:17Speaker 5: To be a little more healable and all that.
- 52:19Speaker 15: So yeah, we've already got some my migratory ones, which
- 52:22Speaker 15: is why we're trying to get our construction out of
- 52:25Speaker 15: the way right now, trying to get it done so
- 52:27Speaker 15: we have room because baby seasons. You know, it's gonna
- 52:30Speaker 15: hit us fall in the face in three months or something.
- 52:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's I mean, not just you guys. I
- 52:35Speaker 3: mean we hear about all the shelters around this area
- 52:37Speaker 3: being like literally a capacity. I mean we went to
- 52:39Speaker 3: we dropped by one a couple weeks ago up in
- 52:41Speaker 3: Lake County, just kind of look around and see what
- 52:43Speaker 3: was out there, and they were like doing bogo cats around.
- 52:48Speaker 15: Have cats on our property?
- 52:50Speaker 9: We did.
- 52:51Speaker 15: Some feral cats just had their kittens behind one of
- 52:54Speaker 15: our eight years and I was like, I need to
- 52:56Speaker 15: get you to safety before you wander in a great
- 52:59Speaker 15: horned owl. That's exactly, tiny, tiny kit.
- 53:03Speaker 6: It just need you guys to understand you are not
- 53:05Speaker 6: the apex predator on this location right now.
- 53:08Speaker 3: I did want to ask one more question. I know
- 53:10Speaker 3: we are on time, So you said they come back
- 53:13Speaker 3: and they build nests. So I was always under the
- 53:15Speaker 3: understanding and the reason why is because of the giant
- 53:18Speaker 3: eagle nest that's at the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex, right.
- 53:21Speaker 3: So when they leave to migrate up north, you know,
- 53:24Speaker 3: to go do their thing during the during the summer,
- 53:27Speaker 3: so they don't use those same nests when they go,
- 53:30Speaker 3: they absolutely do.
- 53:31Speaker 15: They come back to their exact same nests. They meet
- 53:33Speaker 15: up with their exact same mate and they do repairs.
- 53:36Speaker 15: We call it nest duration. So they come back to
- 53:40Speaker 15: their nest.
- 53:40Speaker 5: They got to do some rebuilding.
- 53:42Speaker 15: It got messed up throughout the year, you know at
- 53:46Speaker 15: a second bedroom. You know, maybe this year they want
- 53:50Speaker 15: to open floor plan. Whether they'll work on that for
- 53:56Speaker 15: you know, a month or two and then starlaying eggs eggs.
- 53:59Speaker 5: Thanks very much for clearing that up.
- 54:01Speaker 3: And the other thing is like for a while, Jack
- 54:02Speaker 3: would have a static camera that's on an eagle's nest.
- 54:05Speaker 3: I do not know where it is, but that.
- 54:08Speaker 5: One was on a captiva was it a captive island camp.
- 54:11Speaker 5: They're literally hundreds yeah, and wow, it's so fun.
- 54:15Speaker 3: The parents were raising you know, a couple of the babies.
- 54:18Speaker 3: I think they actually lost one of them through the process,
- 54:21Speaker 3: but one made it to adulthood. But the one thing
- 54:23Speaker 3: we noticed and we actually used to get some complaints
- 54:26Speaker 3: about it on the texting service, like, hey, can you
- 54:28Speaker 3: switch that camera because they would like bring food up.
- 54:31Speaker 3: You know, animals kills fish, whatever the case may be.
- 54:33Speaker 3: And the bones were just kind of laying in the nest.
- 54:35Speaker 3: I'm like, it doesn't seem like something they would do.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Do they not clean that out? Like when they're done
- 54:40Speaker 3: with the with the carcass or whatever, they don't put
- 54:41Speaker 3: that off to the side. They just kind of live
- 54:43Speaker 3: with that.
- 54:43Speaker 5: Yeah, it doesn't bother them.
- 54:46Speaker 15: I mean, some birds are messier than other birds, but yeah,
- 54:49Speaker 15: eagles are pretty messy.
- 54:51Speaker 6: And speaking of birds, somebody did text us at seven
- 54:54Speaker 6: seven zero three one saying they're not migrating as much
- 54:56Speaker 6: anymore and it's ruining the ecosystem.
- 54:59Speaker 5: What can you tell us about that?
- 55:01Speaker 15: So with climate change, a lot of birds are changing
- 55:03Speaker 15: their behavior, and so there are some birds who just
- 55:06Speaker 15: don't feel the need to migrate. They're like, ey, that's
- 55:08Speaker 15: warm enough where I'm at, or some birds who are
- 55:10Speaker 15: migrating at different times, and it is really changing certain things. So, yeah,
- 55:16Speaker 15: we are seeing a lot of differences in migration. Weirdly,
- 55:18Speaker 15: with the eagles, we've seen them come back to Florida earlier,
- 55:22Speaker 15: which is odd. You think they'd stay in Canada longer
- 55:25Speaker 15: it's nicer for longer, but that's not what we saw.
- 55:27Speaker 15: So unfortunately, sometimes they're coming back before hurricane season's done,
- 55:32Speaker 15: and so they're like fixing up their nest all nice,
- 55:34Speaker 15: and then a hurricane messes it up and they.
- 55:36Speaker 5: Have to redo it and then exactly trying to rebuild
- 55:41Speaker 5: in this stage.
- 55:41Speaker 15: We saw that last year and then we were worried
- 55:44Speaker 15: they wouldn't get it rebuilt in time to lay. So, yeah,
- 55:48Speaker 15: with those terrible hurricanes we had last year, not this year.
- 55:53Speaker 6: But so, where do folks go to like an email
- 55:55Speaker 6: address if maybe they have a school event they'd like
- 55:57Speaker 6: to book the autubn Center for Birds of Press.
- 55:59Speaker 15: Oh please, We're doing tons of off sites right now.
- 56:02Speaker 15: You can email me at Audubon CBOP at audubon dot org.
- 56:08Speaker 15: We're also have a behind the scenes virtual program right
- 56:12Speaker 15: now on our website that we're selling for just forty
- 56:15Speaker 15: dollars and it comes with the package of worksheets. If
- 56:18Speaker 15: you've ever wanted to actually see the behind the scenes animal.
- 56:20Speaker 5: Care at our facility, you can book that.
- 56:22Speaker 15: It's great for homeschoolers thirty minute lesson with worksheets.
- 56:25Speaker 3: Awesome, so good, so.

- 58:11Speaker 3: columns Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. He's a legend in Orlando.
- 58:15Speaker 3: You guys, give it up for the for the awesome
- 58:17Speaker 3: Scott Maxwell.
- 58:18Speaker 16: Yeah, a lot of other choices. What else is somebody
- 58:23Speaker 16: going to listen to from three to seven smooth jazz?
- 58:26Speaker 3: Yeah? I hope not. I hope it's this. To be honest,
- 58:29Speaker 3: he's Oprah still on, and I don't think I think
- 58:31Speaker 3: he's done Destination Radio. Yeah it is, buddy. How you doing, man, I'm.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Hanging in there.
- 58:37Speaker 11: It's another weird week.
- 58:38Speaker 3: What's so weird?
- 58:40Speaker 1: Hold on?
- 58:41Speaker 16: You know, I think I've told you before. Let me
- 58:42Speaker 16: look out my street. Oh it turns out I'm now
- 58:44Speaker 16: living on Charlie Kirk Cove.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Yeah. I read that today and uh, you know again,
- 58:50Speaker 3: it's so funny when we mentioned the Charlie Kirk thing.
- 58:53Speaker 3: You know, we have a lot of listeners that are
- 58:54Speaker 3: pro Trumpers. We get it all the time from these guys.
- 58:56Speaker 3: They stick around and listen to us though, and I
- 58:58Speaker 3: mean we get into, you know, lively conversations via the
- 59:01Speaker 3: texting service all the time, trying to be as respectful
- 59:03Speaker 3: as possible. Sometimes it slips into other worlds, but they
- 59:06Speaker 3: always come back, and we always have those conversations. When
- 59:09Speaker 3: I mentioned the Charlie Kirk thing earlier, especially the campus thing,
- 59:13Speaker 3: when you're you know, when you're holding you know, money
- 59:16Speaker 3: hostage from education facilities, you know, for this particular thing
- 59:20Speaker 3: is a bit egregious, and literally to the time, every
- 59:23Speaker 3: single one of my Trump supporters text in and said,
- 59:26Speaker 3: that's ridiculous, completely ridiculous.
- 59:29Speaker 11: Jack and I were talking about it, and.
- 59:32Speaker 16: When I first saw the headline, and the headline was
- 59:35Speaker 16: something like new law would require that every university in
- 59:39Speaker 16: the state name a road after Charlie Kirk, I was like,
- 59:42Speaker 16: that's the kind of thing the onion.
- 59:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, right right, one hundred percent.
- 59:45Speaker 11: Now it's just too stupid to be true.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Look, how it should have been none of this, Like
- 59:51Speaker 3: if you wanted, if you felt like that Charlie Kirk
- 59:54Speaker 3: motivated people in this state so much that he should
- 59:56Speaker 3: have name a road name for himself. Campuses offer up
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: the funding for it to colleges who want to invite that.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: You know, if you if you want the government to
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: be involved with it, you go, hey, I tell you what,
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: if you put this on there, we'll send a we'll
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: pay for the signs or whatever. But don't don't threaten
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: a withhold funding. That's that seems to be like a
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: thing now with Republican lawmakers, and we're withhold funding if
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: they don't get their way and it's all the way
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: up to the federal federal branch as well. It's a
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: little odd to me.
- 1:00:24Speaker 16: Well, I think I try to be a person who
- 1:00:27Speaker 16: thinks a little bit about uh precedent and big picturism,
- 1:00:32Speaker 16: and I think, like, this is the first time I've
- 1:00:35Speaker 16: ever heard of a proposed law that would requires universities.
- 1:00:40Speaker 16: So think about all the people throughout the course of
- 1:00:42Speaker 16: human history we've not done this for whether it's mother washing.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: You don't have to go into the national scene. You
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: can find people right here from Florida that are Floridians
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: that have affected people enough. H whatever you want to do,
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: for sure.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:59Speaker 11: So anyway, it's a little bit of a weird state.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: We live in it, So yeah, for sure. I did
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: read your piece today and found it great though, thank you.
- 1:01:09Speaker 11: Which one are we talking about?
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: The theme right safety thing? The theme park ride safety thing?
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: I thought it was a great piece.
- 1:01:15Speaker 16: Well, you know, it gets at one of the I've
- 1:01:17Speaker 16: actually thought of you because there's one aspect of this
- 1:01:21Speaker 16: that I know takes you off, and I'm sort of
- 1:01:24Speaker 16: skipping to the punchline here. The short version is that
- 1:01:28Speaker 16: theme parks rides are not regulated in Florida. The way
- 1:01:32Speaker 16: virtually everything.
- 1:01:33Speaker 11: Else is regulated.
- 1:01:35Speaker 16: And the argument, I mean like even like amusement parks,
- 1:01:38Speaker 16: like county fairs and state fairs, rides there are regulated.
- 1:01:42Speaker 16: Theme park rides in California are regulated, but in Florida
- 1:01:46Speaker 16: it's primarily self regulation for safety and more concerning, in
- 1:01:51Speaker 16: my mind, self reporting, and what that means is theme
- 1:01:54Speaker 16: parks are able to describe, decide on their own how
- 1:01:58Speaker 16: to describe what has happened. And as we've written about before,
- 1:02:01Speaker 16: that means that, for instance, some kid who got their
- 1:02:05Speaker 16: foot crushed and mangled on a ride at Universal.
- 1:02:09Speaker 11: The report the report Universal File described it as leg pain.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Yeah, now you real quick. Now, I want to make
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: something clear because when you say a regulation, so what
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: you're saying is in in Orlando and Florida, right, we
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: have a Disney, we have Universal, we have Cerl, we
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: have Bush Gardens. All of these parks have you know,
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: high velocity, high action rides. The roller coasters go very fast, uh,
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: and they can be you know, and they can be
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: very very kind of uh.
- 1:02:37Speaker 17: You know.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: Again, if you're not used to that thing, it could
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: be it could be traumatic.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: So with that said, so there's no state institution that
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: goes from park to park and inspects these rides to
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: make sure they're up to snuff. That's all handled within.
- 1:02:51Speaker 11: Uh, almost all.
- 1:02:52Speaker 16: I think there are some minor things, but yes, that
- 1:02:54Speaker 16: that's that is generally correct. And if and if you
- 1:02:56Speaker 16: want to think about like uh an example, and I
- 1:02:59Speaker 16: should have put this in the column. I just thought
- 1:03:00Speaker 16: about it talking to you now. Elevators like the state,
- 1:03:05Speaker 16: those are inspected, right because we've decided those, But we're
- 1:03:08Speaker 16: not doing the roller coasters. And let me say here,
- 1:03:12Speaker 16: I'm not scared of a roller coaster. I think they're
- 1:03:14Speaker 16: generally safe. I think history has shown they're generally safe.
- 1:03:18Speaker 16: But airplanes are generally safe, and we regulate the piss
- 1:03:21Speaker 16: out of those.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:03:23Speaker 16: The cars are are are regulated for safety of everything
- 1:03:27Speaker 16: from airbags to seatbelts to the crash the way they crash.
- 1:03:31Speaker 16: And the argument the theme parks have always given give
- 1:03:33Speaker 16: is well, it's in our best interest to have safe rides,
- 1:03:38Speaker 16: so you don't need to regulate us because it's gonna
- 1:03:42Speaker 16: be good for consumers. And that might sound good if
- 1:03:45Speaker 16: you say it fast, but it's pretty damn dumb if
- 1:03:47Speaker 16: you think about it, because every company would say that
- 1:03:50Speaker 16: pharmaceutical companies.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Right now, see you. But I think you could probably
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: make an argument Scott, that you know, the inspection thing
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: could be handled internally, Like I'll make the argument here.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: I'll be the bad guy here, right, Like, what good
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: does it do for any of these parks to have
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: situations like this? It doesn't do any good for somebody
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: to die on their ride. So I would think all
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: of these people are gonna be, I mean, exponentially careful
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: when it comes to how their rides run so that
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: nobody gets hurt, because that's terrible for business. The reporting thing, though,
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: is the part that I find a little sketchy, Like
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: if there is a legitimate report and that just gets
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: brushed under the rug as like you know, oh he
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: had a hangnail, but you lost a finger. You know,
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: that's a little different to me.
- 1:04:35Speaker 16: Yeah, well, first of all, I would say that, like
- 1:04:37Speaker 16: I think all companies would make the argument that you
- 1:04:39Speaker 16: just made. Like I was starting to say, a pharmaceutical
- 1:04:41Speaker 16: company would say, our drugs, you don't need to be
- 1:04:43Speaker 16: right checking them for side effects. It's bad for our
- 1:04:46Speaker 16: business if somebody takes our pills and ends up getting
- 1:04:49Speaker 16: sick or dying. But the government going all the way
- 1:04:52Speaker 16: back to Upton Sinclair's the jungle, like what was the
- 1:04:54Speaker 16: first and the meat packing the meat packing industry said no, no, no,
- 1:04:57Speaker 16: we're gonna be healthy, We're gonna be safe. It's it's
- 1:04:59Speaker 16: good for our b this they went and said, oh
- 1:05:01Speaker 16: my god, it's disgusting, both the working conditions and sickness.
- 1:05:05Speaker 11: That's said, I agree with you.
- 1:05:07Speaker 16: I'm not as worried about the regulation as I am
- 1:05:11Speaker 16: the disclosure if somebody gets seriously ill. Another example they had,
- 1:05:15Speaker 16: I think it was, uh it was a Disney ride.
- 1:05:18Speaker 16: It might have even been Tower of Terror or something
- 1:05:21Speaker 16: where the person like passed out and needed brain surgery. Yes,
- 1:05:25Speaker 16: and the and the report was felt ill.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I do, I remember that, Yeah,
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:05:32Speaker 16: Generally, I think what should happen is they should have
- 1:05:34Speaker 16: to report exactly what happened and then people can make
- 1:05:37Speaker 16: their own informed decision for themselves.
- 1:05:39Speaker 11: And and and by the way, that's not a that's
- 1:05:41Speaker 11: not a radical idea. That's the way it works.
- 1:05:43Speaker 16: But not only in both industries, most industries, but like
- 1:05:46Speaker 16: I said, in other states that have theme parks.
- 1:05:48Speaker 11: However, Florida and is not.
- 1:05:50Speaker 16: And the main reason it doesn't is because the theme parks,
- 1:05:53Speaker 16: big tourism sort of control the legislature. And and that
- 1:05:56Speaker 16: was a lot of yapping by me. But the part
- 1:05:58Speaker 16: of the story that made me think about you is
- 1:06:00Speaker 16: the reason is because the theme parks not only.
- 1:06:03Speaker 11: Cut big checks, but they give these guys gifts every year.
- 1:06:07Speaker 11: And one of the most ridiculous loopholes that exists.
- 1:06:10Speaker 16: In Florida politics because technically, you know, lobbyists are not
- 1:06:14Speaker 16: allowed to give state legislators anything, but the theme parks
- 1:06:19Speaker 16: give them free rooms, free meals, free VIP tours, free
- 1:06:24Speaker 16: behind the scenes stuff.
- 1:06:25Speaker 11: They give them all of this stuff.
- 1:06:28Speaker 16: And the way they do it is by giving the
- 1:06:30Speaker 16: money to the Democratic and Republican parties, and then the
- 1:06:34Speaker 16: parties turn around and give it to the legislators.
- 1:06:36Speaker 11: And they are not shy about this or are.
- 1:06:39Speaker 16: Secretive most of the times when they do it, like
- 1:06:41Speaker 16: the Republicans, they do it like the week or two
- 1:06:44Speaker 16: before the legislative session begins, so they hold every Republican
- 1:06:49Speaker 16: at Universal and Disney hosts a lot of the Democrats.
- 1:06:51Speaker 11: Both parties do it for I mean both companies, for
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: both teams.
- 1:06:54Speaker 16: They do it right before they decide whether they're going
- 1:06:57Speaker 16: to pass these bills. So if someone does file bill
- 1:07:00Speaker 16: that says, hey, we think maybe Disney and Universal should
- 1:07:03Speaker 16: have to provide better disclosure on their right industries, they said, well,
- 1:07:06Speaker 16: you know what, come, spend a week at our park.
- 1:07:08Speaker 16: We're going to take care of everything well, and we're
- 1:07:10Speaker 16: going to discuss with you our.
- 1:07:11Speaker 11: Concerns about that.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: We'll show you just how safe it is with a
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: VIP tour.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: And then of course with the battle that DeSantis got
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: into with Disney over the LGBTQ stuff, you know that
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: turned kind of ugly because it didn't I think that's when,
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: you know, when the money stopped flowing, is when you know,
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: politicians started getting a little weird about it, going hey, look, well,
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: you know, if you're going to do that, well maybe
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: we should start looking at a relationship a little bit
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: closer and make sure that that's up to snuff. None
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: of that happened before they started threatening to withhold money.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: And then of course as soon as that all blew over,
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: and it did, it was just like you and I said,
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: it was just a big show. Once it blew over,
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: it was right back to norm.
- 1:07:47Speaker 16: Right, And I thought that was actually an oopsie moment
- 1:07:50Speaker 16: for dissandus. I remember the moment he was he was
- 1:07:53Speaker 16: it was a press conference, I think it was here
- 1:07:55Speaker 16: in Florida, and he was throwing a little bit of
- 1:07:57Speaker 16: a tantrum, and he basically said, well, Disney, you know,
- 1:07:59Speaker 16: if if you're gonna piss me off, then you know
- 1:08:01Speaker 16: what we're gonna do is we're going to regulate your rides.
- 1:08:04Speaker 16: We're going to send our inspectors to the monoail. And
- 1:08:07Speaker 16: then he said, and we're only going to do it
- 1:08:09Speaker 16: for you, And I thought, good, you're talking out loud, because.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: Wait a minute, you're not supposed to say stuff like that, dude.
- 1:08:16Speaker 16: Because first of all, what you're threatening them with is
- 1:08:19Speaker 16: reasonable ride safety regulations, and you're saying that only them,
- 1:08:24Speaker 16: the company that has stopped cutting checks, is going to
- 1:08:26Speaker 16: be subjected to him.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: It's a weird blow.
- 1:08:29Speaker 11: Yeah, they resumed cutting their checks and that threat has
- 1:08:31Speaker 11: ever since disappeared.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that's wild how quickly that thing came and went.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: I remember you and I have many of the conversations
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: about that. We were both kind of laughing out loud
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: to ourselves on how long this was going to last,
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: because they need each other so much. There's no way
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: possible a fight could last that long, you know, no
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: way possible at all.
- 1:08:46Speaker 16: Right, And that's one of the things I've said through
- 1:08:49Speaker 16: very consistently, and I think you agreed. When all these
- 1:08:51Speaker 16: people were like, especially Democrats that are like, I'm on
- 1:08:54Speaker 16: team Disney, I was like, Disney is not on your team.
- 1:08:57Speaker 16: But there is no team here except for their corporate interests.
- 1:09:00Speaker 16: And they're cutting checks to both sides of the aisle,
- 1:09:03Speaker 16: and they'll continue to cut checks to probably every politician
- 1:09:06Speaker 16: you hate, as long as that politician is in a position.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: To do them.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: Yeah, and more than likely they're gonna you know, the
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: ones that are getting spoken to are the ones in
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: a position to do that thing, whatever that thing may be.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: For sure.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I checked.
- 1:09:17Speaker 16: Don't hold me to this, but I checked the donations
- 1:09:20Speaker 16: just yesterday, and this is approximate.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I think it was.
- 1:09:23Speaker 16: Disney was giving about two hundred thousand dollars of in
- 1:09:27Speaker 16: kind gifts that that's like the suits and the you know,
- 1:09:30Speaker 16: the hotel rooms and things to the Republicans, and I
- 1:09:33Speaker 16: think it was about twenty five thousand to the Democrats.
- 1:09:35Speaker 16: So so basically it's enough to like hear kid go
- 1:09:38Speaker 16: busy yourself to the Democrats who don't have any control.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: And take this to the arcade. Son, right, don't leave there, mom,
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: And I gotta go to the bar.
- 1:09:47Speaker 11: Yeah, but you know what, it's usually enough to shut
- 1:09:50Speaker 11: them up.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Hey, that's the only piece
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: I read today. I know you usually post too on Wednesday.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: What was the other piece about? Real quick?
- 1:09:56Speaker 16: The other one is a really interesting one about why
- 1:09:59Speaker 16: Florida has turned so read and these why we are
- 1:10:02Speaker 16: so Republican because, as you all know, and you know,
- 1:10:05Speaker 16: not too long ago, we were a swing state. We
- 1:10:07Speaker 16: were the swingiest state in America. The two thousand recount showed,
- 1:10:11Speaker 16: you know, we were the most purple state. Now we
- 1:10:13Speaker 16: are hardcore read and a bunch of three researchers, including
- 1:10:17Speaker 16: one University of Florida, did a fifty page paper on
- 1:10:20Speaker 16: this to say why. And the thing that they discovered
- 1:10:23Speaker 16: that I thought was most interesting is it's not Floridians
- 1:10:26Speaker 16: who are here becoming Republican.
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: It's that Republicans are now flocking to Florida. And they
- 1:10:33Speaker 11: got some really interesting data.
- 1:10:34Speaker 16: And for instance, if you're born in Florida, Floridians are
- 1:10:37Speaker 16: like six points more likely to be Democrats of Florida
- 1:10:40Speaker 16: born people.
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: I think it was thirty seven to thirty one.
- 1:10:43Speaker 16: But the people moving here are like forty percent Republican
- 1:10:47Speaker 16: thirty percent Democrat and it does not take long.
- 1:10:50Speaker 11: That's a big difference.
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, we may.
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: I think that sort of happened during the pandemic, where
- 1:10:58Speaker 8: people like that's when they were saying, all right, we're.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: Going to Florida. Yeah. I agree that one hundred percent.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: When DeSantis did his COVID thing and made it to
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: you know, the old free state of Florida thing. Yeah,
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: I think people were like, well, I don't want to
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: deal with my thing here. I've always wanted to go
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: to Florida anyway, so why not now? Yeah, And that's
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: exactly what happened.
- 1:11:15Speaker 16: It's actually happened, not just to saying it's been a
- 1:11:18Speaker 16: pretty steady incline over the past decade. Rick Scott helped
- 1:11:22Speaker 16: move us all hard, right, But the flip side of
- 1:11:24Speaker 16: that coin is that Florida's growth is slowing. We're still
- 1:11:27Speaker 16: like one of the fastest growth growing states in the nation,
- 1:11:30Speaker 16: but for the past ten years, our growth has never
- 1:11:33Speaker 16: gotten above two point five percent, and it used to
- 1:11:35Speaker 16: always be four to six percent, something a lot higher.
- 1:11:39Speaker 16: And the other thing the report found is that twenty
- 1:11:42Speaker 16: to thirty somethings are leaving Florida and drove by significant
- 1:11:46Speaker 16: And it was interesting because the Florida Chamber of Commerce,
- 1:11:48Speaker 16: pretty conservative organization, they put out a report and they're like,
- 1:11:52Speaker 16: this is a problem if we don't if every if
- 1:11:55Speaker 16: we're educating people in college and then they're leaving because
- 1:11:58Speaker 16: and this has to do final note, and then I know,
- 1:12:00Speaker 16: we got to wrap things up.
- 1:12:01Speaker 11: What you and I always talk about.
- 1:12:02Speaker 16: If you're young and you're starting a family, you care
- 1:12:05Speaker 16: a lot more about whether you can afford a house
- 1:12:07Speaker 16: or whether you can afford rent than you can watch
- 1:12:09Speaker 16: in politicians dunk on each other. That's right, And and
- 1:12:12Speaker 16: twenty somethings are fine, they can't do that, and all
- 1:12:14Speaker 16: they see is them screaming about these culture wars and
- 1:12:16Speaker 16: they're like, I'm getting the hell out of here. Because
- 1:12:18Speaker 16: wages are not nearly keeping up to what housing is going.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: And that's why, and that's why it states like Carolina's
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: are doing really well, even North Georgia seeing explosions in
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: population because uh, it's you know, it just doesn't have
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: that you know again.
- 1:12:33Speaker 11: And they see a lot more prospects for upward economic mobility.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Absolutely, you guys, give it up. Good Lune Forcott Maxwell. Yeah, Wednesday,

- 1:13:42Speaker 13: Later, body, so I've talked back in before, Jimmy, and
- 1:13:45Speaker 13: you gave me a bunch of crap about not taking

- 1:13:48Speaker 5: I'm the one who left the U down there.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: Uh talk back.
- 1:13:52Speaker 13: And my boss years ago offered me fifty k more
- 1:13:56Speaker 13: a year to move to Florida, and I almost took
- 1:13:59Speaker 13: him up on it, and now the offers up to
- 1:14:03Speaker 13: about one hundred k more a year, and I still
- 1:14:05Speaker 13: am not going to take him up on it because
- 1:14:08Speaker 13: of what your politicians have done to the state. I
- 1:14:10Speaker 13: love everything about the state except.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: For that, oh m, thirty seconds. He couldn't get it

- 1:14:29Speaker 3: can turn down. Okay, yeah, yeah, hand it's gonna be okay.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: Where he's doing alright? Where do you say he was from?
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: He didn't, he said down there, so but I believe
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: I'm gonna say like North Cara, Virginia.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: See yeah, yeah, yeah. I think Tennessee actually checked in
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: with quite a few people moving from Tennessee. Favorite Mexican
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: restaurant of all time? What is your favorite Mexican restaurant
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: of all time? Chago Bell, Chago Bell, Right now, I'm
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: fine choice. Jeck the tracks.
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: A tough one, like of all the major chains. Okay chains, yeah,
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: a chain.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: Why don't you go to independent. There's a chain coming
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: back that's making a bit of a splash, and it
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: has I have a little bit of a connection to it.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: That's why I'm thinking Cantina.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, loc in Tina. Yeah, yeah, No, that's on it. Jack.
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: You heard the story. You should to be down by
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: the Herndon Airport. I only knew of one in Orlando.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: I didn't know that there were more. Of course, I
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: didn't know that there are any down there the tourist areas.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: But Chee Cheese is coming back. Chee Chee che Cheese. Dude,
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: Oh man, I remember seeing the signs. Yeah, I mean, look,
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: it doesn't it doesn't separate itself from like any of
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: the other Mexican brands like Chewy's or any places like that.
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: But Chi Chee is a Minnesota born Mexican restaurant, and
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: nobody knows Mexican like Minnesota AND's. Oh you know that,
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: Oh you know. Now, twenty years ago they stopped serving
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: up their food. Reborn Chee Cheese is opening in Saint
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: Louis Park, Minnesota. Reservations there for the day were completely
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: booked because it's Minnesota, and uh, they don't do tortillas,
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: so they have to figure out how somebody does it
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: for them. But yeah, coming back and the one that
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: was over by Herndon Airport would used to be a
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: date spot for my first wife and I got a
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: rest of soul.
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: That's only when I remember in central Florida.
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: That was when we had fancy time like that was
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: a going out, getting a margarita, you know, going to
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: play some songs in the jukebox. I would always play
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: the Colt and piss everybody off. And I would get
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: their seafood Chimmy Chonga and it is the least Mexican
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: thing on the menu, but it was so fricking delicious.
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: They would take this burrito, fill it up with like
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: a shrimp and scallops and this beautiful like cream sauce
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: and veggies and wrap it all up in deep fry.
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: It god, oh money, was it good.
- 1:16:37Speaker 9: It was so good.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: I don't think they're much different. I don't know that
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: it'll expand into Florida. There are so many brands out
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: there now that are doing a good job that I
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: just simply don't think they can make an impact anymore.
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: Yeah, no, not not yet. We're next level Mexican food now,
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: and the chain.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: Restaurant business in the US right now is already kind of,
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: you know, unique to say the very least suffering. Yeah,
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: what are the chain restaurants for Mexican?
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: Is it?
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: Chewy's is one? One are the others? I mean the
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: fast cash would be your ti Wana Flats. Yeah, places
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: like that Chipotle, But I think with Mexican restaurants you
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: wind up having small family franchises in towns. That's what
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: I like.
- 1:17:15Speaker 8: Rookies CANTEENA is one by me, really good, right, the
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: my favorite. I've been there one time. Ross took me
- 1:17:22Speaker 8: there after we went to Epic Universe one day. Is
- 1:17:25Speaker 8: called Border Grill.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's supposed to be a Border Grill cantina.
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: Right, and it's right by Universal, the original Universal, and
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: it is. It was just that's a family run business
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: and it was fantastic.
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was. El Potro is the one
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: I remember that sling some some very inexpensive like down
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: and dirty text, you know, not Mexican antex mix food.
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: And there's a chain of them and it's called El Potro.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: And there's another name for other franchises within that same
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: kind of under that same umbrella. I can't remember what
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: it is, but man, they were always good. I remember
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: going to the one over by UCF with my wife
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: on like a lunch date when we first started dating,
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: and I got their beef. They're like braised beef that
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: comes with like you know, beans and rice and the
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: whole nine yards. And the braised beef was exactly how
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: you're supposed to cook it, like it was really braised beef.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: It wasn't like setting to them in a bag to reheat.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: They actually made it in the kitchen. You could tell.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: You mentioned Chili's. Yeah, is Chili's. Chili is on a
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: Mexican restaurant. That's not no get out of here. But
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: what is chili? Well, chili is It's just a pepper.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: Chili is just a pepper. Okay, I don't think it's Mexican, dude,
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: I don't think. I don't think Chili is a Mexican restaurant.
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: You sure I'm not. I don't know. I don't know.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: I'm not a hondo on that. I don't go in.
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: Then I don't know. I don't know either. Well, I
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: look at that sign and I hear that Dave that
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: to me that says text mac, let me ask you
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: a question. This is, you know, one of those weird things.
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: We got to get out of here because we have
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: Savannah Lanza on the other side for the National Kidney
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: Foundation's fortieth Annel Rick Sale It Surfest. Jack will be
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: out there this weekend. We'll talk about that in a second.
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah, let's go surfing. Do you guys ever gauge
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: an ethnic restaurant when you walk in, if those like,
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: if that ethnicity is there.
- 1:19:01Speaker 6: I judge an Indian restaurant by British people and Indian exact.
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:19:07Speaker 6: If there are not any Brits, I'd almost go more
- 1:19:10Speaker 6: Brits than Indian because chicken tika Masala should be the
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: national dish.
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: Of everywhere of you know, certainly England, everywhere. I remember
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: walking into a my wife give me a little crap
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: for this. We pulled up to this little place. We
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: didn't know where we're going, you know, it was a
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: new place, and she goes, go pop your head in
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: and see what you you know, look at the menu
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: or whatever. I opened the door, I looked in and
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: it was a sushi place full of people, like full
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: of Asian people.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: I just went back to the door. I said, I
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: don't care what it is, just locking up, we're coming in.
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: I mean, man, that's the telltale sign.
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: Yes it is.
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: And the same thing with Mexican food. There's this place
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: out by ucf Are actually over in Groveland. I was
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: just talking to somebody about this the other day and
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: I went in and it was a lunch date. I
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: was over there doing something for a house and walk
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: in and it was full of you know, workers, Mexican workers,
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: and I was like, oh, I'll have a seat please. Exactly.
- 1:19:58Speaker 5: There's a little taco.
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: Place out by us off of Old Highway nineteen exactly
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: what it is, Yeah, like Taco Time or something like that.
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: Best damn tacos and sauce that you'll get anywhere.
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: So, although Chili's does have faheata is on the menu,
- 1:20:12Speaker 8: the texting services coming unglued saying they are not of
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: Mexican vice. That's a jack take if there ever was one.
- 1:20:19Speaker 8: For sure, someone texted Chili, well, what a chili pepper? Yeah,
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: that seems to be something you would associate with tech.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: I would agree with you one hundred percent. All right,
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: seven seven zero three one. Don't forget we have another
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: keyword for you just a few minutes. Savannah Alanza on
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: the other side. We'll talk to her about the surface
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: coming up this weekend.
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Jim Coolbard Show, Real Radio. One
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: ooh four point one dollar is your five o'clock keyword.
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: That's d O L l A R. Just movie mosey
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: over to Real Radio. Out of him and send that
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: away from your chance at one thousand dollars. Guys, good spelling. Dude,
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: dollars is your five o'clock keyword. We wish you the
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: very best to get over there and get that cage.
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: Welcome back on Jim. There's deb Hello, Jack is here
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: as well. What's up?
- 1:21:07Speaker 14: You know?
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: Jack has been doing this event now for how many years? Buddy?
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: Quite a few. It's gotta be down near ten. I mean,
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: as long as we've been together, you've been doing it.
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: I've been going a while, Pink been you know, Josh Bacon,
- 1:21:18Speaker 8: he went for a few years, but I remembered the
- 1:21:22Speaker 8: radio station has been affiliated with this particular event since
- 1:21:26Speaker 8: the nineties.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I think Savannah was like fourteen years old
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: when we first started doing this. The fortieth annual Rick
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: Sallex Surf Festival is in town. Of course, the National
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: Kidney Foundation is the beneficiary. You guys, give it up
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: good loud for Fill and Savannah. What do you say?
- 1:21:43Speaker 17: Yay?
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: Goot seeing you guys. How's things? How you been?
- 1:21:51Speaker 18: We're a little busy.
- 1:21:52Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: I just brought up the website and it's so funny.
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: You know, we say surffest but got the money. That
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: almost doesn't do the entire thing justice. There are so
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: many things that are happening. The taste of Bravard happened simultaneously,
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: the Saturday night block party, the Friday night at Drift House,
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: the surf movie, the yoga, the Silent Auction, all this
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: cool stuff happening all week and long. Is it kind
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: of panning out the way it usually does this year
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: for you guys.
- 1:22:15Speaker 12: It's it's bigger this year because this is such a
- 1:22:18Speaker 12: milestone year for us, forty years. I mean, it's crazy
- 1:22:21Speaker 12: that we've made it this fart.
- 1:22:23Speaker 9: Exactly the fiftieth year, is it? I started with nineteen seventy.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: Six, Good Lord of Mercy. That's so crazy.
- 1:22:31Speaker 9: Content one of the other contests there was Kylie Slater's
- 1:22:34Speaker 9: very first contest, unbelievable.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Then we built them aboard right right.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Then he went on to do some cool stuff.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Yeah, just little yeah, you know.
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: And of course Savannah was were you ever a professional? Savannah?
- 1:22:47Speaker 3: I cannot remember.
- 1:22:49Speaker 12: I've just sent most of the amateur stuff. But we
- 1:22:51Speaker 12: have had some amazing professional surfers come out. Caroline Mark,
- 1:22:55Speaker 12: she's our gold medalist, you know for the United States
- 1:22:58Speaker 12: and surfing. She started sur being in this event and
- 1:23:01Speaker 12: is won it several times. And yes, Kelly Slater, as
- 1:23:04Speaker 12: Phil said, h CJ. Hobgood, just some of.
- 1:23:07Speaker 9: The great well even Savannah herself when she was growing
- 1:23:10Speaker 9: up won every one of the Richard and I gave
- 1:23:12Speaker 9: her trophy for every one of our divisions that she
- 1:23:15Speaker 9: grew up with.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: That's correct, our CEO. It meant ironically great and.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: More irony, the irony that two legends like Kelly Slater
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: and Caroline came out of Florida, where you know, of
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: course we're not known for our towering waves. Usually that's
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: a California thing. So many great spots out there to serve,
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: but you know, these Floridians, you got to take what
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: you can get. You got to you got to make
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: the best out of the smaller waves. So I guess
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: it makes you a little bit more appliable.
- 1:23:42Speaker 12: Yeah, frosty and definitely aggressive and going after it. But
- 1:23:46Speaker 12: we plan to have you know, some pros out here
- 1:23:49Speaker 12: this weekend. It's it's both pro and amateurs. So not
- 1:23:52Speaker 12: only are people just starting out their first contest ever,
- 1:23:55Speaker 12: but we'll have the pros out here in the men's
- 1:23:59Speaker 12: and women division sponsored by Ron John's putting on a
- 1:24:02Speaker 12: great show.
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: Very cool. So let's get it started off. Exactly how
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: will the weekend start? Where do people need to go
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: to kind of learn more about this? Tell me just
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: get started.
- 1:24:10Speaker 12: Yes, So Thursday night is actually tomorrow our kickoff party
- 1:24:14Speaker 12: for sponsors, and then Friday we have our drift house,
- 1:24:17Speaker 12: surf shops, surf movies, fired dancing show.
- 1:24:20Speaker 18: That's all free.
- 1:24:21Speaker 12: We're going to have raffles and just a good time
- 1:24:23Speaker 12: to get the weekend started. But Saturday is really the
- 1:24:26Speaker 12: big event this year that's brand new. It's a block
- 1:24:28Speaker 12: party in downtown Cocoa Beach to celebrate forty years. We're
- 1:24:32Speaker 12: going to have food trucks, tons of vendors, giving out
- 1:24:35Speaker 12: free stuff.
- 1:24:36Speaker 18: But the live music is going to be amazing.
- 1:24:39Speaker 9: It's going to be Beabs And this is Michelle Biebo
- 1:24:44Speaker 9: when she was joining their marketing degree with Richard's intern
- 1:24:48Speaker 9: when we had an office for about twenty years.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: In Cape Gunnaba Hospital.
- 1:24:51Speaker 9: Wow, a world famous band and he's coming back in
- 1:24:55Speaker 9: California and you will love that.
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: Beabs Andder Moneymakers. That's cool.
- 1:25:01Speaker 8: I believe Taco Bob from j r R Is going
- 1:25:03Speaker 8: to be out there as well. He's spending the day
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: out at the beach on Saturday, but then Saturday night
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: at the block party.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: That's that.
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: That's a pretty big event.
- 1:25:11Speaker 18: Now, yes, yeah, so it's.
- 1:25:13Speaker 12: Going to be really cool to have you know, your
- 1:25:16Speaker 12: radio stations out there promoting and Sunday night that's our
- 1:25:20Speaker 12: big you know, auction Gallonite the Taste of b Revard
- 1:25:23Speaker 12: with several I mean a.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: Lot of really great restaurants.
- 1:25:26Speaker 12: Yeah, over twenty five restaurants, over one hundred auction item
- 1:25:30Speaker 12: surfboards by its vacation packages.
- 1:25:32Speaker 8: So now I've gotten in the past couple of years.
- 1:25:35Speaker 8: By the way, you get some great food and they
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: have music playing as well. But I got I get
- 1:25:41Speaker 8: those flip flops. They have a giant table flip flops.
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: They were fan. I love these these slip flops I've ever.
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: Heard and I'm looking for a new pair.
- 1:25:51Speaker 9: Their rep is Greg Taylor, used to be on our
- 1:25:54Speaker 9: surf team. The one thing about Savannah and Greg that
- 1:25:58Speaker 9: they are together on is Greg was the East Coast
- 1:26:03Speaker 9: Champion of surfing and so was Savannah.
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: Oh awesome.
- 1:26:07Speaker 9: We made a special t shirt for her and towels
- 1:26:10Speaker 9: when she won the amateur division and hatteras.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Yeah, and its huge, by the way, I just look
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: at I just leave the price of the Taste of
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: Bervard ticket. Man, it's only like thirty five dollars in advance.
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: That's that's insane and you're gonna have You're gonna have
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: a great time. But also thirty five bucks for a
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: tasting ticket.
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: Yea.
- 1:26:27Speaker 8: The all the stuff that you can bid on now
- 1:26:31Speaker 8: that and they have so many unique items, but you
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: can and that raises money for the National Kidney Foundation.
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: But Savannah, you can still bid, correct me if I'm wrong.
- 1:26:41Speaker 8: You don't have to go to the event to bid
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: on it? Can they still do that online?
- 1:26:45Speaker 18: Correct? Yes, you don't even have to come.
- 1:26:48Speaker 12: We'll have all the items online, so you can check
- 1:26:50Speaker 12: things out there and you know, and if you're close enough,
- 1:26:53Speaker 12: you know, come pick up your surfboard or your bike.
- 1:26:56Speaker 12: But if it's a gift certificate, we'll mail.
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: It to you.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: Well, we'd like to see you though.
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: Yeah, Hey, so tell me. I mean, you know, we've
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: had a couple of storms off the coast. It's made
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: a lot of news that you know, we've had some
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: at least, you know, some some chances at waves. I mean,
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: is that gonna hold off for this weekend? Are we
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: gonna have some good surf this weekend?
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: We've had waves for the last two weeks. It's been huge.
- 1:27:17Speaker 18: Yeah, this has been a great hurricane season for us
- 1:27:20Speaker 18: this year.
- 1:27:21Speaker 11: They've all just like it when they turn.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Turn.
- 1:27:25Speaker 18: Yeah, the forecast looks great for this weekend.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: So to get down to sixty six degrees, yeah, it's
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: better than good.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: Actually, this is the what we call the first this
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: is the first blast of like cool air that Florida's
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: gonna get in the weekend. High it's supposed to be
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: in the low eighties with nothing but sunshine. It's going
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: to be literally a perfect like chamber of commerce weekend
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: for the event.
- 1:27:45Speaker 8: So so it's free to come out to watch surfing,
- 1:27:48Speaker 8: and it's right on the beach of Coco Beach, right
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: by the West skate Pier where you'll see the jarr
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: R Vulture and the real radio inflatable.
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: We will be set up out.
- 1:27:58Speaker 8: There and on Sunday swing by. I'll be there starting
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: around eleven o'clock. We are giving away a surfboard, so
- 1:28:05Speaker 8: you want to come with you might you might leave
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: the beach with a surfboard that day.
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: Nice and Jack knew this.
- 1:28:12Speaker 12: Year when I was over at the station yesterday, you know,
- 1:28:15Speaker 12: Russ said that you're actually going to enter the contest
- 1:28:17Speaker 12: this year.
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: He did say that.
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: You know, that was funny when he said that, because
- 1:28:22Speaker 8: then I gotta Then I got a text.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: From my wife. She's like, what's this. I hear your
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: surfing now?
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we want you to go out in the water
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: and we'll forgo to the entry fee.
- 1:28:32Speaker 3: Yeah that's so sweet, as you sweet? Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:35Speaker 3: I got to do some strength. That's cheap to about
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: somebody drown.
- 1:28:38Speaker 9: I like that.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: You guys should charge for that. Watching Jack life.
- 1:28:44Speaker 18: We'll make sure we get the lifeguard.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: You know Savannah surfing.
- 1:28:49Speaker 18: Oh yeah, I mean as as time permits. I got
- 1:28:52Speaker 18: three kids. Now it's a little hard these days.
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: Pay now.
- 1:28:56Speaker 15: Wow.
- 1:28:56Speaker 18: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 1:28:58Speaker 12: But we we have had, like I said, the best
- 1:29:01Speaker 12: hurricane season this year, so we just needed to continue
- 1:29:04Speaker 12: for this weekend.
- 1:29:06Speaker 18: And you know it's going to be perfect.
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think it will. I saw I just
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: saw Jack knock on wood. Yeah, it's true, because we
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: have dealt with hurricanes during this before, we've had to
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: inclement weather. Actually one year, I think we had to
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: kind of move it back a weekend or something because
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: it was so bad. And it is very fortuitous that
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: these storms have come and taken a rite and just
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: gone right up the coast, far enough out to produce storm,
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: produce syfup, but not enough bad weather so that we
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: couldn't enjoy the event. I think it's going to be great.
- 1:29:33Speaker 9: Yeah, A good storm would be like four or five
- 1:29:35Speaker 9: hundred miles offshore and then it'd be offshore and glassy
- 1:29:38Speaker 9: and about four and five feet Oh.
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: Perfect, Absolutely going to make a long time.
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: We read them like a book, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: And it's of course, this is all for the National
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: Kidney Foundation of Florida. They've been raising money for fifty
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: years forty is what it says here, but Phil says
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: has been like fifty years, fifty years since.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: They did the first one four years ago.
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: Fortieth event.
- 1:29:58Speaker 8: Yeah, NKF Surf dot you can see everything happening from
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: Thursday through Sunday night and matter of fact into Monday.
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: Are the finals? Is that on Monday? Yeah?
- 1:30:10Speaker 9: So I mean you got to follow surfing deal like
- 1:30:13Speaker 9: eight o'clock in the morning on answers semis on Sunday
- 1:30:17Speaker 9: and the finals on Monday.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: Yeah, if you want the schedule, I have to tell you.
- 1:30:20Speaker 3: The website is extremely easy to maneuver. If you just
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: go to nkfsurf dot com, it's all laid out. The days.
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: Each have their own landing page where you can read
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: about what's going on. You can actually schedule the events.
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: It'll tell you where everything is going to happen, which
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: is all in a relatively small area there where you
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: can enjoy a little bit of everything. Yeah, and Savanna,
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: I heard this.
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: I heard you talking on the Monsters about this and
- 1:30:42Speaker 8: about your title sponsor Ron John's and what you guys
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: are going to be doing to honor him. Can you
- 1:30:50Speaker 8: talk a little bit about how that's going to happen.
- 1:30:53Speaker 12: Yeah, So for anyone that isn't aware, a paddle out
- 1:30:57Speaker 12: is really the way that surfers do, like a celebration
- 1:30:59Speaker 12: of life. So on Sunday we're going to be doing
- 1:31:02Speaker 12: to paddle out for the owner of Ron John's, Ron Demanna,
- 1:31:06Speaker 12: who passed away a few months ago.
- 1:31:08Speaker 18: So this is going to be huge.
- 1:31:09Speaker 12: You know, for anyone that Ron Johns has ever touched,
- 1:31:12Speaker 12: or who Ron has ever touched, please come out and
- 1:31:15Speaker 12: join us for this celebration.
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: Very cool that it is cool, cool video. What time
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: is that on Sunday?
- 1:31:21Speaker 12: So that'll be at noon on Sunday right there at
- 1:31:23Speaker 12: the pier. We'll get all the surfers out there with
- 1:31:25Speaker 12: their boards. They go out, they hold hands, they splash
- 1:31:28Speaker 12: the water, say a prayer, and you know, take a
- 1:31:31Speaker 12: lot of photos.
- 1:31:31Speaker 18: So it it's definitely going to be a really cool event.
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: That's exactly when I was going to serve it. I mean,
- 1:31:40Speaker 8: I'm gonna I'm gonna take some pictures.
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: From the beach. Yeah, you'll be able to see him
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: just looking for the pasty Jersey Dad show Breakdack Yeah yeah,
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: close out, Bradshaw.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: Yeah, we're back.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: All right, all right, wait, we got now n k
- 1:31:58Speaker 3: fsurf dot Com happening all this weekend right over during
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: Cocoa Beach. So many things to do, so much fun,
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: the taste of Brvards going on as well. That ticket
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: is ridiculously low at thirty five dollars pre forty day
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: of and even the day of prices were just ridiculously low.
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: I've been going to this thing since the nineties.
- 1:32:15Speaker 8: It's so much fun and what a you know, a
- 1:32:18Speaker 8: great way to you know, end out the summer on
- 1:32:20Speaker 8: the beach and the weather's.
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: Going to be absolutely per That's exactly what I say, Jack,
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: I mean, if you were to take your family over
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: to enjoy like a crowd and have some fun and
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: kind of get a welcome fall in a kind of
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: a beat setting. No better way to do it, because
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: everything really is not only affordable because the events like
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: this are free, but even this stuff they charge for
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: is dirt cheat Like thirty five dollars for a tasting
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: dig his bananas. Those are like eighty bucks in Orlando now,
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: yeah for something like that.
- 1:32:42Speaker 12: So at least yeah, they will come out and buy
- 1:32:44Speaker 12: a T shirt he some money.
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: Yeah. Again, this is all for the National Kidney Foundation
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: of Florida. Guys. I can't thank you enough. It's always
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: good talking to you this time of year. Good allowd
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: guys for filling Savannah. Yeah NK at surf dot com.
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: You'll be good man. Good luck are this weekend for sure?
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: All right for seven nine one Back in a second
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: with more of the Jim Colberg Show.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: Show. Hey, Jesse has crew, what's going on?
- 1:33:18Speaker 12: This is ray.
- 1:33:19Speaker 17: You guys are talking about some of the greatest Mexican
- 1:33:22Speaker 17: restaurants of all time. I love, you know, places like
- 1:33:28Speaker 17: Tijuana Flats and Chapolti, but for me, Rocos Taco's over
- 1:33:32Speaker 17: and Doctor Phillips is the best.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: I mean, you dress up and I.
- 1:33:36Speaker 17: Love how the waiter brings the guacamoli and makes it
- 1:33:40Speaker 17: right in front of you.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: It's it's a great place to go the afternoon.
- 1:33:45Speaker 19: Cover crew, Jimmy, you're talking about going on your cruise
- 1:33:48Speaker 19: and going to the Tequila Factor in Cosamel. If I'm
- 1:33:52Speaker 19: not mistaken, you're referring to Cava Antigua, where the tour
- 1:33:55Speaker 19: is given by Julio Iglesias and you get free samples
- 1:33:58Speaker 19: of the tequila and then and they have a little
- 1:34:00Speaker 19: cafe where they had the margarita's and there's nothing like
- 1:34:03Speaker 19: getting plastered on tequila tour margaritas at nine am in
- 1:34:07Speaker 19: a foreign country.
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: Have a good one. Thanks. Hey, y'all, it's golf man
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: Tad from Melbourne.
- 1:34:14Speaker 20: I'm just you wanting to give a shout out to
- 1:34:16Speaker 20: my boy Rick at Moon Golf in the shop.
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: He's working alone today, but I will be back tomorrow.
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: Rick.
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: Good luck. Thanks y'all Moon Golf. What's your gut in there?
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: What's y'all gut in there? I'm about to re up.
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: I told my son today. I was like, I'm about
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: to do everything. I'm about to get new drivers, new
- 1:34:35Speaker 3: three woods, five wood, hybrid's, irons, it's all getting new.
- 1:34:42Speaker 5: Well, there you go.
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: I'm treating myself. Little retail therapy. Yeah, little retail therapy.
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: You gotta treat myself, all right? Seven seven zero three one.
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: Don't forget your five o'clock keyword is dollar d O
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: L L A R. Just get over to your real
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: radiod FM and send that away for your chance at
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: one thousand dollars dollar. Guys, that'll do it. I'm Jim.
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: There's dead Jack is eer as well. Yeah, Jack, have
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: you ever served? Have you ever tried to, uh not legitimately.
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: I mean that paddle board, that's it. I mean, I
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: what do you call that boogie boarding stuff? Yeah, that's
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: not on the proper surfboard out in the wave. I
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: could tell you I done that. I think the paddle
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: boarding does give you a bit of a bit of
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: a head start on surfing. I used to serve quite
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: a bit when I was younger because we were right
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: near Saint Augustine. So the crew I went I hung
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: with we like to surf, so we would go over
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: there almost every weekend in the summer, especially if there
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: are any waves and kind of do. I was never
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: all that good. I could get up and ride the wave,
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: but I could I couldn't do like crazy maneuvers or
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: anything like that. It was fun, but it's a little
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: bit more difficult than people believe it is. Yeah, I
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: would say, I mean paddle boarding the similarity.
- 1:35:46Speaker 8: You're standing on a board right that's on the water,
- 1:35:50Speaker 8: so it's moving, so it forces your your core to
- 1:35:53Speaker 8: engage and just get used to that movement. But I
- 1:35:57Speaker 8: mean a paddle board, Like they say, longboards are easier, right, sure,
- 1:36:00Speaker 8: because you're covering more surface area, more buoyant, and I
- 1:36:03Speaker 8: mean a paddle board is even more of that. It's
- 1:36:07Speaker 8: just it's probably the easiest platform to be out here.
- 1:36:09Speaker 8: It's actually built to be stable like that.
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: I mean, so surfboards are actually built a maneuver right,
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: and you get one about your size, I would probably
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: surf aboard it's like six three or six four or
- 1:36:17Speaker 3: something like that. The smaller boards are considerably more maneuverable,
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: but they're also really hard to ride because they're they're
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: really kind of shaky underneath you. And of course how
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: many skegged you have make a difference as well. That's
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: the fin or whatever. But it is a really cool sport.
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: It's a lot of fun. But man, I don't know
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: about new Submurda around here though. There's a lot of
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: a lot of sharks out there, I don't I know.
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: S imagine Inn used to be a big spot for
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: surfing and and the fishermen I think ran a lot
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: of the surfers out But the breakdown near the pier
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: was so good. But man, you could get up there
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: on that pier and look down and dudes were surfing
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: in between them and the beach. There'd be like just
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: so many sharks. You just couldn't believe they were out there, Like,
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: what are you doing? Like it's fun, but I mean
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: that death damn fun.
- 1:36:58Speaker 8: I don't know every time if they're there's a shark
- 1:37:00Speaker 8: bite on the East Coast, it's NSB baby.
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right there for sure. So I saw an
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: interesting story in Newsweek with Andrew Yang. You guys remember
- 1:37:10Speaker 3: Andrew Yang Universal basic income? Yeah, Universal basic income was
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: this thing he ran for the Democratic primary, got beaten,
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: but he had some really unique ideas, got a lot
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: of attention when he was running or when he was,
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: you know, mounting his run for the Democratic nomination. The
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: Yang Yang Yeah, that was in twenty twenty, and he
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: was an early front runner in New York's twenty twenty
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: one mayoral contest as well. So you know, part of
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: this story was him talking about Democrats not really having
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: a leader. One of the reasons they're having a difficult
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: time finding any foot space or any grip against Republicans
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: nationwide is is they they haven't kind of formed behind
- 1:37:52Speaker 3: a leader, whether it be or a Pritzker or a
- 1:37:55Speaker 3: Newsome or whomever it may be. They haven't chosen someone
- 1:37:59Speaker 3: to kind of focus behind and then move that person forward.
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: There's so many questions when it comes to the Democratic Party,
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: when it comes to their presidential candidate, that that's a
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: difficult That's one of the reasons they're having a difficult time.
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: Now fast forward outside of the politics stuff, they get
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: into another thing where what he's doing right now, and
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: of course the universal basic income is one of the
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: things that he's still talking about. You remember it was
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: like a thousand bucks a month, I think is what
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: he wanted to do. He wanted to give everybody one
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: thousand dollars a month because he thinks AI. And I
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: just saw a piece yesterday saying that AI is going
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: to wipe out about one hundred million jobs globally in
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: the next ten years. One hundred million jobs. So there
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: are going to be a lot of people who aren't
- 1:38:38Speaker 3: going to be able to get a job outside of
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: maybe a labor job. You know, their education will be finite,
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: it'll be useless if you're an accountant or anything in
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: that world where AI can just be one button away
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: from doing your job more efficiently, maybe more accurately, without
- 1:38:53Speaker 3: your pay or your insurance. That's going to happen, right,
- 1:38:57Speaker 3: But one of the other things is. He called it
- 1:38:59Speaker 3: the freedom dividend is what it was, a safety net
- 1:39:02Speaker 3: for millions of Americans. But he also has another idea,
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: and I got to make sure I get it right here.
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: Called Noble Mobile. That's his current priority. Noble Mobile. What
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: does that mean? Have you heard about it? So it's
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: a cell carrier, but it has a really unique hook.
- 1:39:22Speaker 3: And I wonder how many people would kind of get
- 1:39:25Speaker 3: this because I've heard as you read around that a
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: lot of people are starting to find themselves having iPhone fatigue.
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: They find they start to look at that little that
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: app that tells them how long they've been online, and
- 1:39:36Speaker 3: it's becoming a little depressing. So there are some people
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: that are going back to the flip phones and they're
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: doing that just to kind of curtail themselves from spending
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: so much time on screens. Right, Noble Mobile, what do
- 1:39:48Speaker 3: you think the hook is?
- 1:39:49Speaker 5: Like?
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: If you could think of a hook for a company
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: like it benefits somebody, the noble part, how would I
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: do that? How would it do it? How would it
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: just assume it could be everybody? How could Noble Mobile
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: benefit every user that uses it? Benefit every use every
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: single user you could benefit from this?
- 1:40:07Speaker 5: Like a payphone, except it happens to be a cell phone.
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: Well, you pay for the service for sure, No, differently
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: than you would pay for yours. Now, whether it be
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: T Mobile or Apple or or help feed the poor?
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: It does? Does it help restore the environment?
- 1:40:22Speaker 5: Do other people?
- 1:40:23Speaker 6: Are they able to help put into the pool to
- 1:40:25Speaker 6: help folks afford their cell phone bill?
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: No, I'll give you one hint, right, some credit cards
- 1:40:31Speaker 3: are doing this. Oh, letting you like a lay away
- 1:40:37Speaker 3: cash back. So when you buy your data, like when
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: you buy your phone, when you get the Noble Mobile,
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: let's say you get two hundred minutes a month or
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: whatever it is, right, every minute that you don't use
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: on your Noble Mobile plan, they pay you cash for it.
- 1:40:53Speaker 5: Oh, it's incentive to stay off.
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: It's incentive to stay off your GD phone. He founded
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: the company with the goal of help everyday Americans who struggles,
- 1:41:01Speaker 3: he believe are the main political parties and how failed
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: they have been when it comes to taking care of
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: things and affordability. And he created this thing called Noble Mobile,
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: a budget cell carrier that encourages its users to stroll
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: less and end the brain rot by offering cash back
- 1:41:20Speaker 3: for unused data. I can see that working kind of
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: fascinating really, to be honest with you, I wonder how
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: many people. And it's already a budget carrier, so it's
- 1:41:28Speaker 3: not like it has bells and whistles. This is just
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: a call and text thing. I'm sure you're not gonna
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: be able to hop online and play your video game
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: on your phone or do any of that stuff, or
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: find download the latest app that everybody's going crazy for,
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: or rip through TikTok for six hours. I don't think
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: it's really built for that.
- 1:41:43Speaker 5: Well, you wouldn't get any money back if you did, right, Yeah, why.
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: Do it right? Yeah? But that's what he's trying to do.
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: He's like, he's trying to push this Noble Mobile thing
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: where if you don't use that data, they pay you
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: back for it. I have to tell you, I would
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: be quite intrigued at the Noble Mobile idea.
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: For me.
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: It'd be tough though, because we use it for show
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: stuff as well. But that's what we tell ourselves. Yea, yeah,
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: that's exactly what we It's so funny. I was thinking
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: that as I was saying it, like, I wonder if
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: that's we do that with ourselves. A lot, right. Yeah,
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: we tell these we tell ourselves these little lies so
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: that we can have that same behavior that we don't
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: really want to give up.
- 1:42:16Speaker 6: Well, when I got my job in the newsroom, I
- 1:42:18Speaker 6: was told I had to get an iPhone. Oh really,
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: because I needed to be able to look up the
- 1:42:22Speaker 6: National Hurricane Center.
- 1:42:23Speaker 5: I needed to be able to get news alerts.
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: It's like, look at the porn at work. You just
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: you know, I have to do it for show prep.
- 1:42:31Speaker 5: When your boss tells you, what are you gonna do?
- 1:42:34Speaker 6: And when I asked, you gotta help me pay that,
- 1:42:36Speaker 6: he was like, no, go get an iPhone exactly.
- 1:42:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you don't want that on your server history.
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: What uh work porn?
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: If they're paying for it, I'll keep the porn off
- 1:42:47Speaker 6: that one. I'll figure something else out.
- 1:42:50Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: No, I found this to be quite exciting story. Of course,
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: the story covers a bunch of things. It really is.
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: In an overview interview with Andrew Yang about how he about,
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: you know what's going on here?
- 1:43:02Speaker 21: Uh?
- 1:43:02Speaker 3: Is it? Mom? And Donnie? The guy that's running for
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: mayor New York is that his Danny Mom Donnie? So
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: they talk about him as well. They talk about his
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: universal you know, uh income type thing and just you
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: know what his experience was in twenty twenty. And then
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: they mentioned this Nobal mobile thing. It was like, how
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: I have not heard of that? Yeah, I know, that's
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: kind of cool. I wonder if other people would do
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: that as well, Like you think maybe other carriers would
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: offer that. Insurance companies do this, do they not? Can
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: you not have an app thing that's on your car
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: that allows that if you allow them to monitor chafe
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: and save? Yeah, how you drive, you speed, how closely
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: you break, how hard you break? If you allow them
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: to do that, you get a Maine what's it, a
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: ten or fifteen percent discount on your insurance run. It
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: could be you know, a few hundred dollars yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: And that's that's crazy, right, So I will to apply
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: this to a phone plan. I think it's actually kind
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: of cool. I mean, it's another way to teach kids,
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: Like if your kids were to have a plan like
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: this to teach them, like some discipline and how they
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: use the thing.
- 1:43:59Speaker 8: You're in incentivizing healthy behavior, yes, or your behavior by
- 1:44:03Speaker 8: reducing stream time?
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know what, you know, what stretch they have?
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: I don't know what their network is, Like, I don't
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: know what the phone offers. I would assume it's just
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: calling and texting and no other Internet connection. That's what
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: I would guess. I don't know if the phone is
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: a flip phone. I don't know if it looks like
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: an iPhone or any of that. It just says Noble
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: Mobile and it's a new company. There is only a.
- 1:44:22Speaker 8: Way to get this information. You can't do it on
- 1:44:25Speaker 8: a Noble Mobile phone. No, because I'm trying to get
- 1:44:27Speaker 8: my money back.
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure. Yeah, I thought that was interesting. You
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: check the story out at newsweek dot com and it's
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: under let's see Andrew Yang on Democrats' biggest mistake challenging Trump.
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: And then it goes on and it mentions this phone
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: company down there, what so Noblemobile?
- 1:44:43Speaker 8: Right dot com? It says get paid to use your
- 1:44:45Speaker 8: phone less? And there's a giant button that says how
- 1:44:49Speaker 8: the f does this work? That's a very Yang thing?
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: Oh yell and Yang is there video? Yeah? Sure, I
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: think it's his thing, dude, Yeah right think maybe. I
- 1:45:00Speaker 3: don't know if it's his things per se, but I
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: know that he's like the spokesperson for.
- 1:45:04Speaker 5: It kind of like, what's his name with Mint Mobile?
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: Yeah, what's his face? Ryan Reynolds.
- 1:45:11Speaker 8: Noble plan is fifty dollars a month plus tax with Noble.
- 1:45:14Speaker 8: There's there's only one planned Noble plan. It's simple, it's
- 1:45:19Speaker 8: transparent and if you use less data you get cash back.
- 1:45:23Speaker 3: Finally, a plan that works for you, not the big carriers. Damn,
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: that's kind of cool. What's the cheapest phone plan available
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: right now?
- 1:45:30Speaker 5: That'd probably be something on Cricket.
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: Cricket or the other one that with ted Dance in
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: the Orange one. So it's like thirty five forty bucks
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: fifty bucks a month consumer cellular?
- 1:45:40Speaker 8: Yeah, no, you I think fifteen to twenty but unlimited
- 1:45:44Speaker 8: plans on limited not unlimited limited, so you only have
- 1:45:49Speaker 8: so much because I think even Verizon for a while
- 1:45:52Speaker 8: years ago, like Metro PCAs came in and it was
- 1:45:56Speaker 8: forty dollars everything included, right, and now Varie has a
- 1:46:00Speaker 8: forty dollars line plan as well. Verizon was one of
- 1:46:04Speaker 8: the more higher end, more expensive ones, you know or
- 1:46:07Speaker 8: their advertising budget and the network. But all of the
- 1:46:11Speaker 8: different carriers are using pretty much the same network.
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: Sure, yeah, yeah, I mean there's not a different sale
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: net for network for everybody is meant the same way, Jack,
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: Is that thing like forty fifty sixty bucks a month
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: or something like that or even cheaper?
- 1:46:22Speaker 18: Is it really?
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:46:23Speaker 5: Is that fifteen dollars a month?
- 1:46:24Speaker 3: Does that include the phone? Do you have to use
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: the phone they provide or can you look up a
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: mint on your phone? You bring a phone? Really think
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: most of them you can just use the phone you have.
- 1:46:33Speaker 3: Damn that's kind of cool. Yeah, super limited though, right,
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: I mean you're not getting fifteen dollars twenty dollars service
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: a month and doing anything crazy.
- 1:46:42Speaker 8: You're just texting and calling, right right. I think they
- 1:46:44Speaker 8: throttle down. They give you a limit on like five
- 1:46:47Speaker 8: G or whatever, even if you are on five G.
- 1:46:50Speaker 8: But then I think they throttle it down so it's
- 1:46:53Speaker 8: not unlimited fast all the time.
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: Are these literally? Are they kind of built for the elderly?
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: Is that what these plans are for?
- 1:46:59Speaker 6: Or is it is just it would have been like
- 1:47:01Speaker 6: consumer cellular and cricket, But now I think it's just
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: for anybody dealing with the affordability issue, which is what
- 1:47:07Speaker 6: you know a lot of young people they're dealing with
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: the affordability issue.
- 1:47:10Speaker 5: And then the brain rot right, right, right right.
- 1:47:12Speaker 8: Yeah, you want the iPhone or that the higher end phone,
- 1:47:16Speaker 8: but you don't want to pay the monthly for that,
- 1:47:19Speaker 8: and I don't.
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: I don't have a lot of faith in people's self regulating,
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: and that includes myself. For the record, I'm not trying
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: to point fingers here. I'm not super good at self
- 1:47:26Speaker 3: regulating on things I really like doing, So I don't.
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: I don't know if you're a scroll monster, if you're
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: going to go you know what, I shouldn't be doing this.
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna get on this noble mobile plan and really
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: really pinch myself a bit. It's hard to self regulate.
- 1:47:38Speaker 8: And this is when we were talking about that not
- 1:47:40Speaker 8: the social network, that documentary where you have algorithms, computer
- 1:47:46Speaker 8: systems trying to manipulate you to deliver you dopamine hits
- 1:47:52Speaker 8: so you don't turn away, and a social dilemma.
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: So thank you.
- 1:47:56Speaker 8: Yeah that was it, And so it's I mean it's
- 1:48:00Speaker 8: a losing battle. You have to fight hard to not
- 1:48:03Speaker 8: just fall into the trap. If I open up, you know,
- 1:48:05Speaker 8: I can start looking for if I go to Facebook
- 1:48:08Speaker 8: for a specific reason, oh, let me just check the messages.
- 1:48:11Speaker 8: You know you were giving away a ticket and then
- 1:48:13Speaker 8: I'll see something and then I'll then you just start scrolling.
- 1:48:17Speaker 8: Suddenly fifteen and twenty minutes are gone. Yeah, yea yeah,
- 1:48:19Speaker 8: And it's it's so easy to do that. It literally
- 1:48:21Speaker 8: is so easy to do that. Yeah, all right, four
- 1:48:24Speaker 8: o seven nine one six.
- 1:48:25Speaker 5: You mean like every commercial break, Yeah, like.
- 1:48:27Speaker 3: Every commercial break. I'm look, I told you, I'm as
- 1:48:29Speaker 3: guilty as anybody out there. It's got me.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: What's designed like a drug dealer makes the best meth
- 1:48:34Speaker 3: that can look the longest. It's it is custom design
- 1:48:37Speaker 3: to get people with short attention spans like your boyar.
- 1:48:40Speaker 8: Yeah, to tune in for a while and if you
- 1:48:43Speaker 8: are if but you it has you for five minutes
- 1:48:46Speaker 8: at a time and then you move on. At least
- 1:48:49Speaker 8: you're forced to break that cycle, whereas if you didn't
- 1:48:53Speaker 8: have to come back to do the next segment of
- 1:48:55Speaker 8: the show, and that five minutes turns into twenty and
- 1:48:59Speaker 8: thirty repeat that throughout the day, and then you you
- 1:49:02Speaker 8: know that you.
- 1:49:04Speaker 3: Watch Titanic every day? Yeah, three and four hours a day.
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: Why why isn't the laundry done?
- 1:49:09Speaker 5: Instagram? Instagram Instagram Instagram.
- 1:49:11Speaker 3: Every trip to the toilet every stop light. You know,
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: every time you have a break, the first thing you
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: do usually is reach through to your phone to start
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: scrolling and see to make sure that you haven't missed anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: all right for a seven nine textests seven seven zero
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: three one. Time to load them up? Though, Trivia is
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: next here on the Jim Colbert Show.

- 1:52:18Speaker 3: can find it, I'll send you over to the Jackie
- 1:52:19Speaker 3: Sack or some cool stuff of weights. Are you ready?
- 1:52:22Speaker 8: I'm ready?
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: Here we go, buddy. On this day in nineteen ninety two,
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: legendary video game and American media franchise Mortal Kombat was
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: released on this day, Oh that little game in nineteen
- 1:52:34Speaker 3: ninety two. Here are three fun facts about Mortal Kombat
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: and one game changing lie. We're talking about Mortal Kombat, buddy,
- 1:52:41Speaker 3: which one of these is untrue? Number one, Mortal Kombat
- 1:52:44Speaker 3: was the first console video game to show blood and gore.
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: Number two, Mortal Kombat was created in ten months by
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: just four people. Number three, Mortal Kombat was supposed to
- 1:52:55Speaker 3: be a video game version of jod klm van Dam's
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: movie Universal Soldier. Or lastly, Mortal Kombat wasn't the first
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: name for the game. Dragon Attack, death blow, and fatality
- 1:53:07Speaker 3: were also in the mix. Which of those is a lie?
- 1:53:11Speaker 5: Three?
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: No, that's absolutely true. Number three Mortal Kombat was supposed
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: to be a video game version of Jean Claude van
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: Dam's movie Universal Soldier, but he actually entered it into
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: a contract with another company to create the video game.
- 1:53:25Speaker 5: First, Oh wow, one, two, four or five? Let's go? Four?
- 1:53:29Speaker 19: Four?
- 1:53:30Speaker 3: Is Shana Shana? How you doing?
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: Hey?
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: Hey, good Shana. Hey, we're talking about We're talking about
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: Mortal Kombat here. Which one of these isn't true? Number
- 1:53:42Speaker 3: one Mortal Kombat was the first console video game to
- 1:53:44Speaker 3: show blood and gore. Number two Mortal Kombat was created
- 1:53:48Speaker 3: in ten months by just four people. Or lastly, Mortal
- 1:53:51Speaker 3: Kombat was not the first name for the game. Dragon Attack,
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: death blow, and fatality were also in the mix. I
- 1:54:00Speaker 3: think it's number two. No, that's absolutely true, and it's
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: crazy that that happened. And when you read about it,
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: it's pretty amazing. Only four people developed this video game
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: and it took him just ten months. And when you
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: hear what EA does, it takes them like three thousand
- 1:54:15Speaker 3: developers right, exactly eight years to create one game. It's
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: a banana to even think that can happen one, two
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: or five?
- 1:54:23Speaker 5: Let's go five?
- 1:54:23Speaker 3: Five? Is stand Stan? How you doing? Yes, they're doing well.
- 1:54:27Speaker 3: How about yourself?
- 1:54:28Speaker 12: Doing good?
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: Buddy? You got a fifty to fifty shot here? Which
- 1:54:30Speaker 3: one of these is untrue? In regards to Mortal Kombat
- 1:54:33Speaker 3: Number one, Mortal Kombat was the first console video game
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: to show blood and gore. Or lastly, Mortal Kombat wasn't
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: the first name for the game. Dragon Attack, death blow,
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: and fatality were also in the mix.
- 1:54:46Speaker 13: Well, I almost say the last one, big fella.
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: No, dude, that's that's correct. Unfortunately, Yeah, that's absolutely true.
- 1:54:53Speaker 5: At Mortal Kombat was not the first name for the game.
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: Dragon Attack, death blow, and fatality were all considered as well.
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: Let's go with James, James, how you doing, buddy, I'm
- 1:55:06Speaker 3: doing great? Tell me if this is true or not.
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: Mortal Kombat was the first console video game to show
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: blood and gore.
- 1:55:12Speaker 22: That is a lie.
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: That is a lie.
- 1:55:14Speaker 3: Hey, any idea getting the game name maybe a bit much.
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: Everybody kind of knows what it is. Can you tell
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: me the year the first game that was released that
- 1:55:23Speaker 3: showed blood? It was really controversial. What year was that?
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: Nineteen eighty seven?
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: Not bad. Nineteen seventy six wos with a game called
- 1:55:33Speaker 3: death Race. They actually the goal was to run over
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: pedestrians and you did, they would fly apart and it
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: was highly controversial.
- 1:55:41Speaker 5: I can't imagine why.
- 1:55:42Speaker 3: But James, you're a Winter Buddy Jack. There you have
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: won yourself a prize.
- 1:55:46Speaker 5: Congratulations.
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: A couple other things before we get to the top
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: of the hour and talk to Ross. For Ross thoughts,
- 1:55:51Speaker 3: it was a pinball game designer, friend of the guys
- 1:55:55Speaker 3: that was developing Mortal Kombat, that actually named the game.
- 1:55:58Speaker 3: Really yeah, they went through all these games, all these names.
- 1:56:00Speaker 3: He's like, none of those sound good. How about Mortal
- 1:56:03Speaker 3: Kombat and spell the combat with a K And they
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: did it.
- 1:56:06Speaker 5: There you go.
- 1:56:06Speaker 3: He was a He was a pinball game designer, a
- 1:56:09Speaker 3: pinball wizard. Four hour nineties underground fans. I wonder if
- 1:56:13Speaker 3: Jack will know this. I wonder if you will know this.
- 1:56:16Speaker 3: So in the nineties you had a lot of really
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: kind of weird, unique music coming through as kind of
- 1:56:21Speaker 3: things change. Bands like nets Are EBB and Front two
- 1:56:24Speaker 3: four two and bands like that really kind of out
- 1:56:26Speaker 3: there bands and Americans really haven't heard about. The soundtrack
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: was created by two members of the band Lords of Acid.
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: Oh do you remember them? Yes, yeah, yeah, dog, then
- 1:56:39Speaker 3: coming here and yeah yeah, yeah yeah, the blink right,
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: and then it went into this you know, basically this
- 1:56:44Speaker 3: this music and Lords of Acid was like a super
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: underground cult kind of I don't even know what to
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: call them, and they were a band for sure, And
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: if you go and you YouTube their performance of that song,
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: it's like censored, yeah, because like the people in the
- 1:56:59Speaker 3: band are girls, are showing everything and there's like crazy
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: stuff happening. And then lastly here. The game was heavily
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: inspired by the cult classic Big Trouble in Little China,
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: the movie Oh Wow Yeah, And actually I guess the
- 1:57:11Speaker 3: main character has a has a red like an all
- 1:57:13Speaker 3: seeing eye that came from Terminator. So they use a
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: lot of like eighties imagery and culture stuff to create
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: this video game, Mortal Kombat, one of the most one
- 1:57:27Speaker 3: of the most successful video game franchises in the history. Easy, yeah, yeah,
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: Mario number one, Yeah yeah, Mario number one. Call of
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: duties up there as well, just checked it a few
- 1:57:36Speaker 3: minutes ago. All right, let's take a little break. We'll
- 1:57:38Speaker 3: come back and do ross. He's gonna tell us what's
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: happening with good Sauce. We'll do that next. Okay, all right,
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show, Real Radio one
- 1:57:48Speaker 3: zero four point one. Your six o'clock keyword is check chgck.

- 1:57:54Speaker 3: away for your chance at one thousand dollars. Check is
- 1:57:58Speaker 3: your six o'clock keyword. Good luck. We hope you win

- 1:58:08Speaker 3: as well. Sure Every Wednesday around eight o'clock this evening
- 1:58:12Speaker 3: you can hear a killer podcast. It's got a couple
- 1:58:15Speaker 3: pretty funny guys. One guy is a guy you may know.
- 1:58:18Speaker 3: The other guy may be one of the most talented
- 1:58:19Speaker 3: guys in the entire city of Orlando. And then there's
- 1:58:21Speaker 3: another guy, you guys give it up a ross pageant
- 1:58:33Speaker 3: with good sauce with his buddy Joel Warren and Nick Brenado,
- 1:58:36Speaker 3: who had a very good week in the football pool
- 1:58:38Speaker 3: this week.
- 1:58:39Speaker 4: Yeah, he's killing it, man.
- 1:58:41Speaker 22: I really want to make because Niko Ronado, for people
- 1:58:44Speaker 22: don't know, as a childhood friend of mine who I've
- 1:58:48Speaker 22: known forever, and when I knew that he would love
- 1:58:52Speaker 22: to have be in the producer's show, producer shoes of
- 1:58:56Speaker 22: a show like Jack.
- 1:58:57Speaker 4: He loves Jack. He wants to pick Jack brain. He's
- 1:59:01Speaker 4: also just an interesting guy.
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:59:03Speaker 22: He kind of reminds me of who other than Jim
- 1:59:06Speaker 22: Phillips in a weird way.
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: Oh really, that's.
- 1:59:10Speaker 4: Not in the sense of like integrity. I'm more talk.
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: He hits me.
- 1:59:19Speaker 3: He hits me like the guy on the couch, like
- 1:59:21Speaker 3: you were saying, John was. Nico kind of hits me
- 1:59:23Speaker 3: like this, like a guy who just kind of pops
- 1:59:25Speaker 3: in and says something ridiculous and then pops right back out.
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:59:29Speaker 22: And one thing he is very known for over the
- 1:59:31Speaker 22: years is that he gets into these passion hobbies kind
- 1:59:35Speaker 22: of like Jim Phillips.
- 1:59:38Speaker 4: So one month I'm living with him. I walk in.
- 1:59:41Speaker 4: It smells like fresh strawberries. I look over. He's like
- 1:59:43Speaker 4: opening up a lemonade stand.
- 1:59:45Speaker 3: I'm doing it.
- 1:59:48Speaker 4: I got news.
- 1:59:48Speaker 22: He never did another one of the things that I
- 1:59:52Speaker 22: walk in when I lived with him and he was
- 1:59:54Speaker 22: drilling holes on the bottom of a Nike and I
- 1:59:56Speaker 22: was like, what are you doing?
- 1:59:57Speaker 4: He goes, dude, roller skate.
- 1:59:59Speaker 3: She Heli's heelis.
- 2:00:05Speaker 22: So he's always shark tanking with him himself and heat.
- 2:00:09Speaker 22: I love that he is always trying to hustle and always,
- 2:00:13Speaker 22: and I love that I'm right there with him, so
- 2:00:15Speaker 22: right there with you.
- 2:00:16Speaker 4: So this week we open up.
- 2:00:19Speaker 22: He starts his new passion project, which is he bought
- 2:00:24Speaker 22: an entire like print press and is now making shirts.
- 2:00:29Speaker 3: Oh no way, really, he brought us. He bought a
- 2:00:31Speaker 3: screen printing press.
- 2:00:33Speaker 22: He bought a screen printing press, and he made he
- 2:00:37Speaker 22: made us all matching good sauce with Ross and Joel
- 2:00:41Speaker 22: podcast shirts.
- 2:00:42Speaker 3: Can we see it?
- 2:00:43Speaker 9: Do you have it.
- 2:00:45Speaker 3: Yesterday?
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: Oh?
- 2:00:46Speaker 3: Did it really? Yes? I didn't even notice it.
- 2:00:50Speaker 22: Well, I mean, he would be so mad if I
- 2:00:52Speaker 22: showed you guys this because to quote him.
- 2:00:54Speaker 3: This is a prototype, all right, Well, oh my god,
- 2:00:57Speaker 3: that's so bad. I'm joking. I'm joking. Relax, I'm not
- 2:01:04Speaker 3: is a printer he knows. Yeah, that's an interesting thing
- 2:01:06Speaker 3: to kind of get into because I mean, you know,
- 2:01:08Speaker 3: screen printing has been it's come a long way back
- 2:01:10Speaker 3: in the day. That was actually my very first job,
- 2:01:13Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:01:14Speaker 22: So maybe you can give him some tips and tricks.
- 2:01:16Speaker 22: He's also getting into the design. His big hit right
- 2:01:19Speaker 22: now is a photo of Abraham Link with sunglasses and
- 2:01:23Speaker 22: it says a bro him, Oh, that's his ace in
- 2:01:31Speaker 22: the hole. Listen, man, you gotta get on the ground floor.
- 2:01:33Speaker 3: That's right. Can I tell you that T shirt World
- 2:01:36Speaker 3: is a game that I mean, at any moment, you
- 2:01:38Speaker 3: can hit something that kind of goes crazy and sell
- 2:01:41Speaker 3: a thousand of them in a weekend. You could if
- 2:01:44Speaker 3: you came up with a good design.
- 2:01:46Speaker 22: And I say all of that just to let you know, guys,
- 2:01:49Speaker 22: we've been doing radio over the years very wrong, because
- 2:01:52Speaker 22: this is the first time I did any audio program,
- 2:01:55Speaker 22: any recorded show with matching shirt song with everybody else
- 2:02:01Speaker 22: with microphones.
- 2:02:03Speaker 4: Jim, you got to make that happen.
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: Oh, so you're saying we need a JCS company shirt.
- 2:02:09Speaker 3: You floated that idea we wore uniforms right to me?
- 2:02:13Speaker 3: Didn't you have that idea?
- 2:02:14Speaker 7: No?
- 2:02:14Speaker 3: No money, no man. I could barely find anything to
- 2:02:16Speaker 3: wear myself. Maybe that would help you actually have a jumpsuit.
- 2:02:21Speaker 22: I think the jokes and the likability and the takes
- 2:02:24Speaker 22: and the caraderie just goes through the roof when you
- 2:02:27Speaker 22: are in a matching every uniform with your friends, especially
- 2:02:32Speaker 22: at least doing audio program I guess that's one thing
- 2:02:34Speaker 22: I learned.
- 2:02:35Speaker 3: I could probably convince Jack to take a free shirt.
- 2:02:37Speaker 3: Deb On the other hand, maybe a bit of a challenge.
- 2:02:40Speaker 8: So is tonight's good sauce proof that the entertainment value
- 2:02:44Speaker 8: in comedy factor is magnified one.
- 2:02:48Speaker 22: Hundred percent the case Jack perfect question, better answer, it's
- 2:02:52Speaker 22: a better show because we're all wearing the same shirt
- 2:02:56Speaker 22: at the producer of the podcast also, mate.
- 2:02:58Speaker 3: If the show is just you guys ragging on each
- 2:03:01Speaker 3: other for wearing the shirts, I'm in.
- 2:03:04Speaker 4: Well, one thing one.
- 2:03:05Speaker 22: Topic that was kind of agree to disagree on that
- 2:03:09Speaker 22: I was the only one who felt this way. Call
- 2:03:11Speaker 22: me crazy, Jim. I'm on my couch late at night,
- 2:03:15Speaker 22: super sober, having a glass of bourbon, and uh, I
- 2:03:20Speaker 22: take I take a sip, and I go, huh, that's interesting.
- 2:03:22Speaker 4: I take a second sip and go bourbon.
- 2:03:25Speaker 22: As I'm taking a sip of bourbon, it hits me
- 2:03:27Speaker 22: like this is a thicker whiskey. Watch this five dollar word.
- 2:03:31Speaker 22: The viscosity of bourbon tends to be on like the
- 2:03:35Speaker 22: thicker side compared to a rye whiskey.
- 2:03:38Speaker 3: Yeah, or scotch. Even it's a little bit it has
- 2:03:40Speaker 3: a little bit of my little oiler uh oh my
- 2:03:42Speaker 3: god weight to it. Yeah yeah, yeah, a little more
- 2:03:44Speaker 3: oily jack.
- 2:03:46Speaker 4: You drink a lot of bourbon, would you agree with that?
- 2:03:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, a little bit more
- 2:03:51Speaker 3: syrupy bourbon.
- 2:03:54Speaker 4: Kentucky, Kentucky kind of.
- 2:03:57Speaker 3: Chubby okay ah you mean.
- 2:04:03Speaker 22: Yeah, I'm not just saying Kentucky, but like the stereotypical
- 2:04:07Speaker 22: like what uh you know what England would draw up
- 2:04:12Speaker 22: as a caricature of an American?
- 2:04:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I would say.
- 2:04:15Speaker 22: Is pretty close to a glassified version of bourbons.
- 2:04:19Speaker 3: Where I'm going with this kind of not but I'll
- 2:04:21Speaker 3: let you explain, like uh.
- 2:04:24Speaker 22: Like it's a it's a fatti or whiskey. I think
- 2:04:27Speaker 22: when when I think of somebody out in Kentucky. I
- 2:04:30Speaker 22: think they're not in peak physical fitness.
- 2:04:34Speaker 3: They're asking a lot of those overalls.
- 2:04:36Speaker 4: And then I and then think about this run with
- 2:04:38Speaker 4: me here.
- 2:04:39Speaker 22: Tequila Tequila Mexico tequila tastes like it is out there.
- 2:04:43Speaker 4: You take a sip, you feel like you're on vacation.
- 2:04:46Speaker 3: Sure, yeah, uh.
- 2:04:49Speaker 22: I think about this Russia vodka. No one likes Russia
- 2:04:55Speaker 22: and people drink Vodaga because they're trying to count calories. Right,
- 2:05:00Speaker 22: you're right, so I, you know, on my couch being
- 2:05:04Speaker 22: super sober, I kind of go around the world, matching
- 2:05:07Speaker 22: all of the spirits respectively towards the country, and it
- 2:05:11Speaker 22: kind of hits me that they're all kind of glassified
- 2:05:16Speaker 22: versions of each other's country.
- 2:05:20Speaker 4: On the menu for tonight for episode seventy.
- 2:05:22Speaker 8: Seven, stereotype and glass. Yeah yeah yeah, where's gin fail?
- 2:05:27Speaker 8: Where does gin follows Jin? Like an English thing? Is
- 2:05:30Speaker 8: that more English? Is that more of a gentleman or
- 2:05:32Speaker 8: a lady's drink?
- 2:05:33Speaker 9: There?
- 2:05:34Speaker 22: Yeah, I'm thinking old ah bad teeth, beefeeder blue glass blue.
- 2:05:41Speaker 21: Uh.
- 2:05:42Speaker 22: I know England's flag is red and white, but the
- 2:05:46Speaker 22: England crest for their soccer team is also Blue for
- 2:05:49Speaker 22: the Three Lions.
- 2:05:50Speaker 4: I can absolutely see Gin going to England.
- 2:05:54Speaker 3: You know that old rap group Pete and Boz.
- 2:05:57Speaker 11: Yes too.
- 2:05:58Speaker 4: Why here you bringing them?
- 2:06:00Speaker 3: That's who I think of when I think Jim Beat
- 2:06:02Speaker 3: and Boz.
- 2:06:03Speaker 22: Yes, yes, yes, exactly. Another phenomenal topic. I know we're
- 2:06:08Speaker 22: getting up against the clock here. There's two types of people.
- 2:06:11Speaker 22: It's not just bag cereal and box cereal. Jim, how
- 2:06:16Speaker 22: many emails does your red notifications say on your phone
- 2:06:21Speaker 22: right now?
- 2:06:22Speaker 1: Like?
- 2:06:22Speaker 3: How many? When you say red notification, that means it's urgent,
- 2:06:26Speaker 3: it's unread?
- 2:06:29Speaker 5: Man right into that one? That one hurt It did man,
- 2:06:34Speaker 5: all of us, It hurt all of us.
- 2:06:35Speaker 3: There's an urgent.
- 2:06:36Speaker 4: I think a lot of people just Winston Pick.
- 2:06:39Speaker 8: Wow, there's an exclamation point. Hold on, he was the
- 2:06:42Speaker 8: guy who's staring at his phone. You know a good
- 2:06:45Speaker 8: portion of every hour.
- 2:06:46Speaker 3: Every hour, I O all my I mean I don't
- 2:06:48Speaker 3: have that many. I have like fifty So is.
- 2:06:51Speaker 5: It personal email or work email?
- 2:06:54Speaker 4: So either or all?
- 2:06:55Speaker 8: I'm saying I've got thirty four ninety red unread and
- 2:07:00Speaker 8: personal email.
- 2:07:01Speaker 6: I have one hundred and thirty six eighty one. She wins, Yeah,
- 2:07:06Speaker 6: unread unread. O. Wait, colim on, we're all urgent? Though,
- 2:07:11Speaker 6: where do you even find that?
- 2:07:13Speaker 9: Dude?
- 2:07:14Speaker 5: Just look at your phone.
- 2:07:15Speaker 3: It's a with a number.
- 2:07:18Speaker 5: See the big red circle above my personal email that
- 2:07:20Speaker 5: says how many.
- 2:07:21Speaker 3: Oh I got s Jim, I got seven? Good for you,
- 2:07:25Speaker 3: ja shim and they all are in your steady. He's
- 2:07:30Speaker 3: read and he's not responded to one though they have
- 2:07:32Speaker 3: all exclamation points? Is that bad?
- 2:07:37Speaker 22: What all I'm trying to get at is that? And
- 2:07:39Speaker 22: this is a very common known thing right now. I
- 2:07:42Speaker 22: think in the last like fifteen years, ever since iPhones
- 2:07:45Speaker 22: gave you that red bubble with a number, you quickly
- 2:07:48Speaker 22: found out that's the best way to determine a type
- 2:07:53Speaker 22: A versus like a type B.
- 2:07:55Speaker 4: At the very least in the digital world.
- 2:07:59Speaker 3: I would agree with that. I mean, look, man, I disagree, like,
- 2:08:02Speaker 3: uh yeah, I don't know, man, I don't have a
- 2:08:04Speaker 3: lot of those, and I don't pay attention to a
- 2:08:05Speaker 3: lot of it either.
- 2:08:06Speaker 14: We know, So.
- 2:08:12Speaker 5: Where do we find that? Are they all urgent?
- 2:08:15Speaker 3: I just found like five emails should have responded to
- 2:08:17Speaker 3: last week? Hey, I don't like this game. Although this
- 2:08:20Speaker 3: is not a fun game for it says I have
- 2:08:22Speaker 3: thirty five thousand unread. They're not unread.
- 2:08:25Speaker 8: When you get a little preview, I can see what
- 2:08:27Speaker 8: an email is and if I need to engage with
- 2:08:30Speaker 8: it or not. So that's there's thirty five thousand emails.
- 2:08:33Speaker 8: I decided I.
- 2:08:35Speaker 3: Don't need right exactly, and boy, go ahead.
- 2:08:40Speaker 22: No, I just wanted to lastly because I just found
- 2:08:43Speaker 22: this out doing the pod. If a zombie apocalypse happens,
- 2:08:47Speaker 22: guess who has to save us?
- 2:08:49Speaker 1: What?
- 2:08:50Speaker 9: Jim?
- 2:08:51Speaker 4: No, No, the Amish.
- 2:08:55Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, without doubt, you're right, Yeah, yeah,
- 2:08:59Speaker 8: zombies ain't f a with them, because.
- 2:09:01Speaker 4: I also have one. Yeah.
- 2:09:03Speaker 22: John comes back from his weird Amish trip and he
- 2:09:05Speaker 22: talks about how man the women's hands are.
- 2:09:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, have a lot of soft hands in
- 2:09:11Speaker 3: that group.
- 2:09:12Speaker 4: Not a lot of soft hands.
- 2:09:14Speaker 22: Hey, you can get a good Latin massage, but you're
- 2:09:16Speaker 22: looking for you know, uh and then yeah, but.
- 2:09:20Speaker 3: They getting turned hellus in butter and uh, you know.
- 2:09:24Speaker 22: All of that and much much more coming up tonight
- 2:09:27Speaker 22: on Real Radio good Sauce with Ross and Joel. If
- 2:09:30Speaker 22: you haven't hit subscribe, We're on every platform. Tonight's an
- 2:09:33Speaker 22: absolute blast. We're getting better, Jim, We keep getting.
- 2:09:36Speaker 3: Better at this I can hear it and color coordinated,
- 2:09:39Speaker 3: and of course he'll be in with us tomorrow. You guys,
- 2:09:41Speaker 3: give it up good loud ross, Yeah, I get sauce
- 2:09:45Speaker 3: to night, eight o'clock, get Senia. Bro'll see tomorrow for sure.
- 2:09:47Speaker 3: And four oh seven nine six o'clock. Keyword is check
- 2:09:50Speaker 3: see hgck. Go to real radio dot FM and send
- 2:09:53Speaker 3: that off for your chance at one thousand dollars back
- 2:09:55Speaker 3: in one second. It's weird.
- 2:10:05Speaker 23: Good.
- 2:10:11Speaker 1: Hey, how's it?
- 2:10:12Speaker 24: Ohanah Well talking about surfing right up my alley.
- 2:10:15Speaker 1: Yep.
- 2:10:15Speaker 24: I'm pretty much dedicated forty years of life to doing
- 2:10:18Speaker 24: nothing but chasing waves.
- 2:10:20Speaker 1: Of course we talk a lot about Hawaii and.
- 2:10:22Speaker 24: The ten years I spent there, but on and awful
- 2:10:24Speaker 24: lot in the Caribbean, and yeah, Sebastian, then letfeld subject
- 2:10:28Speaker 24: to engineering the North Jetty. That's why the first peak
- 2:10:32Speaker 24: no longer breaks and anyway, growing up Surfing News, Samerna,
- 2:10:37Speaker 24: I've been bit actually twice, not bad, but aloha Helloa.
- 2:10:41Speaker 18: Hey guys love listening to the show.
- 2:10:44Speaker 15: I've been thinking about going back to a flip phone
- 2:10:46Speaker 15: to get away from the iPhone, but it's so unrealistic.
- 2:10:52Speaker 3: I don't live in Orlando anymore, and I would miss out.
- 2:10:54Speaker 8: On losing you.
- 2:10:56Speaker 15: I go to that.
- 2:10:58Speaker 5: I hate this, don't do it anyways.
- 2:11:00Speaker 3: I've got Spectrum for twenty dollars a month. I you know,
- 2:11:03Speaker 3: check it out.
- 2:11:04Speaker 5: Hey, guess I hope you guys are doing well. So
- 2:11:06Speaker 5: you guys are talking about Mexican destronts.
- 2:11:08Speaker 10: Mister Colbert, I don't know if you've got a chance
- 2:11:10Speaker 10: to go to El Zocalo in downtown Sandford.
- 2:11:14Speaker 3: Well, you're living in Geneva.
- 2:11:16Speaker 5: Oh my god, best Mexican food ever.
- 2:11:20Speaker 3: Thanks, bye bye.
- 2:11:22Speaker 20: All right, here comes Robert from the Florida Turn podcast
- 2:11:25Speaker 20: for usual, actually not here to complain about the JOFT Reporter,
- 2:11:29Speaker 20: even though he keeps saying I'm using a park area,
- 2:11:32Speaker 20: but now.
- 2:11:33Speaker 23: No, I'm still just gonna dredge up. How very entertaining
- 2:11:37Speaker 23: it was to listen to the show just completely shut
- 2:11:41Speaker 23: down over a thermos.
- 2:11:45Speaker 3: Wow, just wow. You're welcome. Take that home with you tonight,
- 2:11:51Speaker 3: to that imagery that everybody died for you later and hey.
- 2:11:53Speaker 5: If you need to, there is photos out there of
- 2:11:56Speaker 5: Grady Judd actually holding up the body scanner photo which
- 2:12:00Speaker 5: shows the full length size of the thermos that the
- 2:12:04Speaker 5: fifty one year.
- 2:12:05Speaker 6: Old inmate in Polk County decided to put in his
- 2:12:09Speaker 6: prison pocket.
- 2:12:11Speaker 3: In the right community, that can make you a whole
- 2:12:13Speaker 3: bunch of money. That talent could make you a whole
- 2:12:16Speaker 3: bunch of money. That if that guy just had an only.
- 2:12:20Speaker 5: Fans, he's gonna have to payper bail somehow.
- 2:12:23Speaker 3: You send stuff, he does stuff with it. Oh year
- 2:12:27Speaker 3: six o'clock. Keyword is check c H E c K.
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: Go to real radio dot FM and send that off
- 2:12:34Speaker 3: for your chance at one thousand dollars. I'm Jim.
- 2:12:35Speaker 5: There's dem Hello, Hey jack Is here's one you're looking
- 2:12:39Speaker 5: at the YouTube feed. Check that out.
- 2:12:41Speaker 3: This is the gentleman. That's our County Sheriff's Office department.
- 2:12:46Speaker 5: That face he's making is after the thermis went in.
- 2:12:51Speaker 3: And there's the X ray. Oh my god, Oh my god. Yep,
- 2:13:00Speaker 3: that's not real.
- 2:13:02Speaker 6: Sure is it's the body scan photo. Grady Judd was
- 2:13:06Speaker 6: holding it at the press conference. Do you want me
- 2:13:09Speaker 6: to uh play the audio that we had earlier when
- 2:13:12Speaker 6: Grady Judd described no.
- 2:13:13Speaker 3: No, no, I don't need I don't need that.
- 2:13:15Speaker 5: Don't you remember when Sonny.
- 2:13:16Speaker 3: Dude has lung cancer too, Well, that actually a good luck.
- 2:13:20Speaker 3: That would be good to hear it. That's some lung
- 2:13:22Speaker 3: stuff happening there or something you.
- 2:13:24Speaker 5: Want to I think we share. All right, here we go.
- 2:13:27Speaker 5: This is Grady Judd.
- 2:13:28Speaker 3: Jack has this photograph up at Jip corberlive dot com
- 2:13:30Speaker 3: on our YouTube feed, and it is startling. Like, let
- 2:13:35Speaker 3: me give you an example. Okay, let me explain it
- 2:13:37Speaker 3: this way. If you're standing and you have your arms
- 2:13:41Speaker 3: hanging down to your side, yep, imagine the thermos being
- 2:13:45Speaker 3: at your elbows. You're that area the entry area, and
- 2:13:49Speaker 3: then the top of it is at your elbows. Inside.
- 2:13:52Speaker 6: Just in case you're not sure where the entry area was,
- 2:13:54Speaker 6: here's Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
- 2:13:57Speaker 5: He brought a thermost into the jail.
- 2:14:00Speaker 3: That's right.
- 2:14:01Speaker 1: He put it up the exit ramp.
- 2:14:03Speaker 3: You know what I mean, Thanks Grady.
- 2:14:06Speaker 5: A thermos about this size.
- 2:14:11Speaker 3: That I can play that over. That is unbelievable, guys,
- 2:14:16Speaker 3: I mean unbelievable. When you look at that photograph, like
- 2:14:20Speaker 3: you see stuff like this online, you're like that, there's
- 2:14:22Speaker 3: no way that's real. Like, there's no way that half
- 2:14:25Speaker 3: this stuff is real. We've seen light bulbs all that stuff,
- 2:14:27Speaker 3: and I think it's all fake.
- 2:14:28Speaker 6: Oh no, somebody texted earlier as an EMT said someone
- 2:14:32Speaker 6: had an open box cutter and had been known to
- 2:14:35Speaker 6: do stuff like that.
- 2:14:37Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a guy named Albert Fish back in the
- 2:14:39Speaker 3: day was one of the worst people that ever lived.
- 2:14:41Speaker 3: He was a child killer, and he's to insert needles
- 2:14:44Speaker 3: into his scrotum because he liked the He he got
- 2:14:47Speaker 3: off on the pain. He liked the pain. Scroll down
- 2:14:50Speaker 3: Jack a little bit, judge, I think, no, don't make
- 2:14:53Speaker 3: the photograph so I can see the entire thing right there.
- 2:14:55Speaker 3: I think the the the X ray imagery of this
- 2:14:58Speaker 3: guy's face is actually better than in his actual face.
- 2:15:04Speaker 3: His actual face, well, he's grimacing. Oh my god.
- 2:15:07Speaker 5: You can imagine why.
- 2:15:09Speaker 3: Or that's pleasure. It's one of the two.
- 2:15:11Speaker 5: Looks like pain to me.
- 2:15:13Speaker 3: We I'm reading and says, we said, dude, what are
- 2:15:16Speaker 3: you doing here? He goes, well, I put that inside
- 2:15:17Speaker 3: my body. I didn't swallow it. Twenty four hours later,
- 2:15:21Speaker 3: Oh man. He also threatened to kill the deputy for
- 2:15:25Speaker 3: arresting him. I got a bad news for you, dog.
- 2:15:27Speaker 3: You ain't killing nobody, You're.
- 2:15:29Speaker 5: Just killing yourself.
- 2:15:32Speaker 3: He saved his life.
- 2:15:33Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 2:15:34Speaker 3: You ain't killing nobody, bro damn man. That unbelievable.
- 2:15:37Speaker 8: If they had to take him to Sheriff Judge said,
- 2:15:39Speaker 8: they had to take him to the hospital, they had
- 2:15:41Speaker 8: to find a specialist.
- 2:15:43Speaker 3: It was quite the ordeal. He's I mean, he's lucky
- 2:15:46Speaker 3: they could get it out there, because I mean, I
- 2:15:47Speaker 3: think once you get past that one area in that area,
- 2:15:50Speaker 3: like once you muscle, yeah, once you breach the sphincter muscle,
- 2:15:54Speaker 3: that thing closes up. Yeah, like there. I mean, obviously
- 2:15:57Speaker 3: you've heard stories of people who have used, you know,
- 2:16:00Speaker 3: toys and are having them with the toy and then
- 2:16:03Speaker 3: the toy they're you know, they're really trying to have fun,
- 2:16:05Speaker 3: and then the toy gets beyond that realm and buddy, listen, that's.
- 2:16:09Speaker 5: And no one at the er is going to tell
- 2:16:11Speaker 5: you that you just slipped in the shower and fell on.
- 2:16:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:16:14Speaker 6: No, it's just too many people who make that excuse
- 2:16:16Speaker 6: for how something ended up in their.
- 2:16:18Speaker 3: B said it to him one hundred times.
- 2:16:21Speaker 5: The good news is that he is now thermist less
- 2:16:24Speaker 5: in the county lock up.
- 2:16:28Speaker 3: That's not a crime though, right, Like he doesn't, I mean,
- 2:16:30Speaker 3: there's no crime in doing that. And he doesn't have
- 2:16:31Speaker 3: to pay. What does it cost to extract a thermist
- 2:16:34Speaker 3: from your anal area? Like what would that cost? That's
- 2:16:37Speaker 3: a surgery, right.
- 2:16:38Speaker 5: It is a surgery. He did have to undergo surgery.
- 2:16:42Speaker 3: So they have to do like an eppisiotomy on your boohoo.
- 2:16:47Speaker 6: I don't know if an eppisiotomy is what they would do.
- 2:16:50Speaker 6: I wouldn't think they would want to tear that muscle.
- 2:16:52Speaker 3: But they have to do something. There's no way they
- 2:16:54Speaker 3: can well. I mean, I guess they could expand it,
- 2:16:56Speaker 3: but they would have to get to like some forceps,
- 2:16:58Speaker 3: like when you having a kid and you put them
- 2:16:59Speaker 3: in there, like stretch.
- 2:17:00Speaker 6: It open too, and it looked and you didn't want
- 2:17:03Speaker 6: to hear Grady judge yeaheah, yeah.
- 2:17:05Speaker 3: Are you sure they didn't magnet fish it out of there?
- 2:17:09Speaker 9: They?
- 2:17:09Speaker 3: Uh, they still have to reveal what's inside the thermist.
- 2:17:15Speaker 3: What's inside?
- 2:17:15Speaker 8: They're always so important that you had to have inside
- 2:17:19Speaker 8: the jail.
- 2:17:19Speaker 3: It's probably drugs, buddy, I mean, do you think they
- 2:17:22Speaker 3: would have said that though if it was a thermist
- 2:17:23Speaker 3: full of like meth or drugs.
- 2:17:25Speaker 6: No, because nobody wanted to unscrew the cap. They just
- 2:17:27Speaker 6: sent it right over the bomb squad for their disposal.
- 2:17:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and there ain't enough dishwasher runs there. You
- 2:17:33Speaker 3: can't listen. There aren't enough dishwasher pods to get that
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: thing clean enough for me to even put gas in
- 2:17:42Speaker 3: it to start a fire. No way possible. That is
- 2:17:45Speaker 3: a that should be on display. That's what they should
- 2:17:48Speaker 3: do at every police department. They should like have a
- 2:17:50Speaker 3: museum of stupidity so that the people come and visit
- 2:17:53Speaker 3: the police department. Like I've never been to a police
- 2:17:55Speaker 3: station in my entire life. I literally have never been
- 2:17:58Speaker 3: in a police station or in fifty seven years now,
- 2:18:01Speaker 3: and you've never seen cocaine. Yeah, but I'm serious, I'd
- 2:18:05Speaker 3: never I would like to go into a police department
- 2:18:07Speaker 3: and go to their museum of the stupid to see
- 2:18:10Speaker 3: all the idiotic stuff that criminals they've encountered. I think
- 2:18:13Speaker 3: that's great. It'd be fun. Oh, thermis would be Oh
- 2:18:17Speaker 3: that thing would be like a Faberge egg exactly.
- 2:18:19Speaker 5: That'd be like Dorothy's ruby slippers.
- 2:18:22Speaker 3: It would have its own it would have like laser
- 2:18:26Speaker 3: laser alarms and stuff.
- 2:18:28Speaker 6: The only thing it would have would be a sign
- 2:18:31Speaker 6: from whatever companies say it's a Stanley saying we are
- 2:18:33Speaker 6: not associated with this individual.
- 2:18:36Speaker 3: Somebody says it's called an anal sip when the smaller
- 2:18:40Speaker 3: inner portion of the soft sphincter overrides the voluntary muscle
- 2:18:44Speaker 3: and the involuntary muscle picks up.
- 2:18:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:18:48Speaker 7: No.
- 2:18:50Speaker 5: The other thing too, you have to be very very
- 2:18:52Speaker 5: careful about is you don't want to tear and I mean,
- 2:18:56Speaker 5: I mean that's what leads to sepsis.
- 2:18:58Speaker 3: So and he's not concerned with that, no, but I know.
- 2:19:00Speaker 6: But that's what I'm saying is that, you know, you
- 2:19:02Speaker 6: see why they had to bring him into surgery and
- 2:19:04Speaker 6: save his life because not only was that object in there,
- 2:19:07Speaker 6: it could have been tearing up his insides.
- 2:19:09Speaker 3: So you okay, so you sit on it, right.
- 2:19:12Speaker 5: I don't know how he got it there.
- 2:19:13Speaker 9: You have to.
- 2:19:14Speaker 3: I mean, there's no way that you could provide enough pressure,
- 2:19:17Speaker 3: like physically by yourself to do that. You would have
- 2:19:20Speaker 3: to set it on the ground. You would have to
- 2:19:22Speaker 3: provide some substance on in there to make it.
- 2:19:25Speaker 5: You know, I think you have a whole new area
- 2:19:27Speaker 5: to research for pick the porn.
- 2:19:30Speaker 3: Yeah I'm not doing that.
- 2:19:31Speaker 5: Yeah, No, I'm not think you should take one for
- 2:19:34Speaker 5: the team, so did he took one for.
- 2:19:35Speaker 3: All the teams.
- 2:19:36Speaker 8: I'm watching the baseball game tonight, but this is good
- 2:19:38Speaker 8: activity for you since you're not really in the baseball
- 2:19:41Speaker 8: this is something.
- 2:19:42Speaker 3: You could research. Thanks Check, I appreciate the permission.
- 2:19:45Speaker 8: The uh the backstory here, Sheriff Jedge said, the ordeal
- 2:19:49Speaker 8: began when there was a complain about a naked man
- 2:19:52Speaker 8: at a park.
- 2:19:53Speaker 3: Yep, they got the call.
- 2:19:54Speaker 8: He was naked inside the restroom, so we asked, is
- 2:19:58Speaker 8: he naked or buck naked?
- 2:20:00Speaker 3: Now you might wonder what the difference is.
- 2:20:03Speaker 8: You could be naked with some clothes on, like you
- 2:20:06Speaker 8: could use socks on, yah, socks, A buck naked is
- 2:20:08Speaker 8: completely naked.
- 2:20:10Speaker 3: And was he buck naked?
- 2:20:11Speaker 8: Well, by the time law enforcement arrived, he had clothes on,
- 2:20:15Speaker 8: so he was scorted out of the park.
- 2:20:17Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, but I think by his strange walk
- 2:20:19Speaker 3: they investigation he's not a vulgarian jack oh man. He'd
- 2:20:28Speaker 3: been He's been to state prison five times, twenty five
- 2:20:32Speaker 3: prior arrests. He crossed the street and then hopped up
- 2:20:36Speaker 3: on the train track and trespassed.
- 2:20:38Speaker 5: Again, and that's when he got arrested.
- 2:20:40Speaker 3: Uh huh did he tell them that there was something
- 2:20:43Speaker 3: in there.
- 2:20:44Speaker 6: Oh, because again, every inmate that goes into the county
- 2:20:47Speaker 6: jail someone had texted this earlier, automatically goes through that scanner.
- 2:20:50Speaker 3: Oh really, I didn't know that to make sure Sting
- 2:20:53Speaker 3: a weapon of some sort.
- 2:20:54Speaker 6: And then that way your deputies don't have to worry
- 2:20:56Speaker 6: about doing a cavity search. You just run them through
- 2:20:59Speaker 6: that scan see if they've got anything, and then go
- 2:21:01Speaker 6: from there.
- 2:21:03Speaker 3: Well, it took up his entire cavity. There's nothing to search.
- 2:21:06Speaker 3: I mean you could tink that thing through his belly button. Yeah,
- 2:21:12Speaker 3: what's going let's like thirty ounces? What's you got in there?
- 2:21:16Speaker 3: Get some chili all some chicken nudes? You got some
- 2:21:20Speaker 3: chicken noodles up in there. They had to find a specialist,
- 2:21:25Speaker 3: I bet.
- 2:21:26Speaker 5: And then you wonder why.
- 2:21:27Speaker 3: And you get paid more than any surgery out there.
- 2:21:29Speaker 3: I don't care how many hearts or brains you worked on.
- 2:21:32Speaker 3: If you have to pull stuff like that out of
- 2:21:34Speaker 3: Felon's buttholes, you should get paid all the money.
- 2:21:37Speaker 5: And now you know why Florida is the state that
- 2:21:40Speaker 5: gets you know, the stories.
- 2:21:42Speaker 6: Come out of the most Oh God, also be national
- 2:21:46Speaker 6: news by tomorrow yeah, it will.
- 2:21:47Speaker 5: This will be national news.
- 2:21:49Speaker 3: That photograph right there will make the rounds tomorrow.
- 2:21:52Speaker 6: And every major news outlet will have Grady Judd saying
- 2:21:55Speaker 6: that he put it up the exit ramp.
- 2:21:57Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, very quote. And I think
- 2:22:00Speaker 3: Rady probably has a little bit of a national audience.
- 2:22:03Speaker 3: I mean, you know, he's been featured from Florida. He
- 2:22:06Speaker 3: and Ivy have been featured enough in Florida and Chipwood
- 2:22:08Speaker 3: for that matter, seeing all the fun stuff, you know,
- 2:22:11Speaker 3: scumbags and tackling people and getting threats from you know,
- 2:22:15Speaker 3: Homer's up up north.
- 2:22:16Speaker 8: Hey, I got to get out of here quick. Tonight
- 2:22:18Speaker 8: game time is seven o'clock. I need help with the
- 2:22:20Speaker 8: show title. Which one do you prefer? Florida the Flesh
- 2:22:24Speaker 8: Eating Bacteria of America, which was our front runner, or
- 2:22:28Speaker 8: has anyone seen my thermos?
- 2:22:32Speaker 5: Personally, I'm gonna go with you could tink that thing
- 2:22:34Speaker 5: through his belly button. But that's just me, man.
- 2:22:36Speaker 3: That thing is so far up there, literally right at
- 2:22:40Speaker 3: the bottom of his lungs. How did that dude walk anywhere? Man?
- 2:22:47Speaker 3: What must that feel like?
- 2:22:49Speaker 5: Don't ask me that.
- 2:22:50Speaker 3: No, I'm not looking at you. I'm saying that to
- 2:22:54Speaker 3: the nether.
- 2:22:54Speaker 5: Yeah, but you're looking into my eyes.
- 2:22:59Speaker 3: Oh my god, you think there's anything printed on it
- 2:23:03Speaker 3: like Scooby Doo?
- 2:23:05Speaker 19: Like was it?
- 2:23:05Speaker 3: Was it a themed thermous.
- 2:23:08Speaker 8: Hello Kitty, Scooby Doo, Hello, Scooby do Hello Kitty, would
- 2:23:14Speaker 8: be the greatest.
- 2:23:14Speaker 3: They pulled it other on some paint bedazzled Hello Kitty.
- 2:23:18Speaker 5: Oh you don't want to be dazzle.
- 2:23:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's bad one there beazzled. Yeah, to care
- 2:23:26Speaker 3: those poll ups, that's like at got good news and
- 2:23:31Speaker 3: bad news dog and a bunch of other stuff came

- 2:25:04Speaker 13: Jack keeps wondering what's in the thermis? But I mean,
- 2:25:08Speaker 13: I you would you would think drugs, but my mind
- 2:25:13Speaker 13: goes straight to like, I don't know if you ever
- 2:25:15Speaker 13: had the Starbucks brown sugar shaking espresso that stuffs like
- 2:25:20Speaker 13: crack man. Yeah, you may want to just sneak that
- 2:25:22Speaker 13: right into jail.
- 2:25:24Speaker 3: Get you through.
- 2:25:25Speaker 13: But but yeah, I just picture Grady Judd running out
- 2:25:28Speaker 13: of there in a has Matt suit with big old tongs,
- 2:25:30Speaker 13: carrying that thermis out of there like Homer Simpson.
- 2:25:33Speaker 3: That's funny. We don't know what's in it, but we
- 2:25:37Speaker 3: know what's on it, that's for sure.
- 2:25:41Speaker 6: Apparently they tell you if you're hiding anything, it's another
- 2:25:43Speaker 6: charge bringing contraband into jail.
- 2:25:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah, check is your six o'clock where you get
- 2:25:50Speaker 3: about ten minutes or so to get over to real
- 2:25:52Speaker 3: radio do FM and send it off for your chance
- 2:25:54Speaker 3: of a thousand bucks. Che c K, go get it.
- 2:25:58Speaker 3: Welcome back. I am Jack is right over there. We
- 2:26:02Speaker 3: don't even to deal right now?
- 2:26:03Speaker 1: Right?
- 2:26:03Speaker 19: Yeah?
- 2:26:03Speaker 1: Great?
- 2:26:06Speaker 3: Or we have coming up tomorrow, we'll see. It's a Thursday,
- 2:26:07Speaker 3: Danny will be in for date night. Done right, yep.
- 2:26:10Speaker 3: Lots of fall stuff. This is the time of year
- 2:26:12Speaker 3: you really want to pay attention to the segment because
- 2:26:14Speaker 3: there's so much stuff going on. She does really pick
- 2:26:17Speaker 3: and choose the stuff that's like, you know, that fits
- 2:26:19Speaker 3: a lot of different kind of vibes, you know.
- 2:26:22Speaker 8: Yeah, But there's maybe two weeks in the fall and
- 2:26:25Speaker 8: two weeks in the spring where the weather is like
- 2:26:28Speaker 8: fall and spring weather, right, and we are kind of
- 2:26:31Speaker 8: approaching that sweet spot. We are, we are I want
- 2:26:34Speaker 8: to time your events accordingly. I don't know what you're well,
- 2:26:39Speaker 8: you gotta tell us now, Dad.
- 2:26:41Speaker 6: Back to the thermost story are seven seven zero three win?
- 2:26:45Speaker 6: Our chili winner from Sunset Walk Best of Challenge said ironically,
- 2:26:52Speaker 6: it was my leftover chili and yeah.
- 2:26:53Speaker 3: Yah, I'm sure it was like a big old bowl
- 2:26:55Speaker 3: of it. That's all right, seven to seven zero three
- 2:27:00Speaker 3: to one, deb What do you have for your hearty?
- 2:27:02Speaker 3: Here first?
- 2:27:02Speaker 5: Nothing as good as the thermos?
- 2:27:04Speaker 2: Wow, it's time for you heard it here first on
- 2:27:08Speaker 2: the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:27:09Speaker 5: That was our earlier newscast. Right now.
- 2:27:11Speaker 6: The Florida Senate Democratic Caucus says it's affordability agenda for
- 2:27:15Speaker 6: the twenty twenty six legislative session is going to focus
- 2:27:18Speaker 6: on property insurance rates. Orlando Democrats Senator Carlos Giarmo Smith
- 2:27:23Speaker 6: says insurance companies plead poverty and deny claims while their
- 2:27:27Speaker 6: subsidiaries raking over a billion dollars in profits.
- 2:27:31Speaker 16: Giant property insurance corporations are playing a shell game, and
- 2:27:36Speaker 16: our constituents can no longer afford legislative inaction.
- 2:27:41Speaker 6: Senator Lori Berman from South Florida says ten bills will
- 2:27:44Speaker 6: be introduced to increased government oversight, protect whistleblowers, and hold
- 2:27:49Speaker 6: insurance providers more accountable, among other measures.
- 2:27:52Speaker 5: For sure, speaking of affordability, ou.
- 2:27:56Speaker 6: Well, Disney World and Disneyland have raised the prices on
- 2:28:00Speaker 6: all levels of its annual passes here in Central Florida
- 2:28:04Speaker 6: to its four theme parks, effective immediately. So the Disney
- 2:28:08Speaker 6: and Credit Pass the top level of passes right, which
- 2:28:12Speaker 6: allows entry for a year without any blockout dates.
- 2:28:14Speaker 5: You want to tell me how much that sells for
- 2:28:16Speaker 5: a year per person, per person.
- 2:28:20Speaker 3: Fifteen hundred dollars. You know what the funny thing is.
- 2:28:22Speaker 3: I was going to say twelve twelve hundred bucks.
- 2:28:25Speaker 6: It was fifteen hundred. It's now one thousand, six hundred
- 2:28:28Speaker 6: and twenty nine dollars.
- 2:28:29Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:28:30Speaker 6: Annual pass holders do receive complimentary parking oh as well
- 2:28:34Speaker 6: as base yeah yeah, thirty bucks a day, oh hang
- 2:28:38Speaker 6: on various discounts on food and merchandise.
- 2:28:40Speaker 5: It used to be thirty bucks, Jimmy.
- 2:28:42Speaker 6: Single day parking fees have also been raised to thirty
- 2:28:44Speaker 6: five dollars per day at Disney World Theme parks. Prices
- 2:28:49Speaker 6: for single day single park tickets at Disney currently range
- 2:28:53Speaker 6: from one hundred nineteen dollars to one hundred and ninety nine.
- 2:28:57Speaker 3: You know that that parking thing, you know they for
- 2:29:00Speaker 3: parking thing is really I mean, when you talk about
- 2:29:03Speaker 3: business wise a little sketchy, like how else would I
- 2:29:06Speaker 3: get to Disney to go? But I would I get
- 2:29:08Speaker 3: dropped off like by a taxi or an uber? Is
- 2:29:11Speaker 3: that would that be the option? Can they have those options?
- 2:29:14Speaker 8: Right?
- 2:29:14Speaker 5: That's one way to control the crowds at the park?
- 2:29:16Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 2:29:17Speaker 6: I guess because if they didn't charge to parks, I mean,
- 2:29:21Speaker 6: you do not charge to park when you have the
- 2:29:23Speaker 6: number one tourist destination.
- 2:29:25Speaker 3: Look, I get it, I understand you. There are no options.
- 2:29:27Speaker 3: That's the thing is they could charge theoretically whatever they wanted.
- 2:29:30Speaker 3: If it was one hundred dollars a car, What are
- 2:29:32Speaker 3: you gonna do if your kids want to get to
- 2:29:34Speaker 3: Disney or Universal? Seriously, what are you gonna do if
- 2:29:37Speaker 3: they said it's one hundred and fifty dollars to park
- 2:29:40Speaker 3: your car? Now, what are you going to do? You
- 2:29:42Speaker 3: get an uber there every day? Ain't nobody doing that?
- 2:29:45Speaker 3: And then you have to deal with a nightmare of
- 2:29:47Speaker 3: six thousand uber cars zipping through the circle kind of
- 2:29:50Speaker 3: wild thing. Man, go ahead, I'm.
- 2:29:52Speaker 5: Sorry, that's the game. And then finally a child, I.
- 2:29:55Speaker 3: Mean, gotten angry enough yet today I gotta squeeze it inf.
- 2:30:00Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:30:00Speaker 6: It's interesting though, because normally you are very pro business.
- 2:30:03Speaker 6: You're like, hey, they're making their money. I understand that,
- 2:30:06Speaker 6: and I am craving their money. But I mean, when
- 2:30:08Speaker 6: you look at the idea of something being like you
- 2:30:10Speaker 6: you do not have an option. The pro business is
- 2:30:13Speaker 6: you out outthink me when it comes to services for
- 2:30:16Speaker 6: cost that is not That is basically saying, if you
- 2:30:19Speaker 6: would like to come to our theme park and pay
- 2:30:20Speaker 6: one thousand, fifteen hundred dollars a person, you're also going
- 2:30:23Speaker 6: to have to pay to put your car somewhere.
- 2:30:25Speaker 3: Here's where it is. Oh, by the way, you don't
- 2:30:27Speaker 3: have an option, like you can't I can't like I
- 2:30:29Speaker 3: can't dot ride in like at the airport right Like
- 2:30:32Speaker 3: there's no service that does that. Although that's a great
- 2:30:34Speaker 3: idea to be able to offer a shuttle service there
- 2:30:38Speaker 3: for like five dollars a person, ten dollars a person. Anyway,
- 2:30:41Speaker 3: I'm sorry that good.
- 2:30:42Speaker 6: And then finally, a child playing on a tree in
- 2:30:44Speaker 6: Orange County is at the center of a dispute between
- 2:30:47Speaker 6: a woman and her hoay. Ariel Barner recently got a
- 2:30:50Speaker 6: letter from the University Pines Property Owners Association in River Chase.
- 2:30:55Speaker 6: According to the letter, her five year old son was
- 2:30:58Speaker 6: a public nuisance for swinging on a tree and throwing
- 2:31:01Speaker 6: rocks at the school bus stop. The HOA wants Barnard
- 2:31:04Speaker 6: to pay over three hundred dollars to cover the cost
- 2:31:08Speaker 6: of the lawyer drafting the letter she received. Barner is
- 2:31:13Speaker 6: considering a lawsuit and in the meantime started to go
- 2:31:15Speaker 6: fund me account to raise money for her legal fees.
- 2:31:18Speaker 6: To go fund me is about allowing a child to play.
- 2:31:21Speaker 6: Over two thousand people have donated over sixty thousand dollars.
- 2:31:25Speaker 3: Lord of Mercy.
- 2:31:26Speaker 6: Barner says she's a single mother fighting for fairness and
- 2:31:30Speaker 6: her child's dignity.
- 2:31:31Speaker 5: Sixty k And you heard it here first on the
- 2:31:33Speaker 5: Jim Culbert Show.
- 2:31:34Speaker 3: Who do we have to think today? Young liddy?
- 2:31:36Speaker 6: We want to thank doctor Daisy Fiori from the Audubon Center.
- 2:31:39Speaker 5: For Birds of Prey, also always a favorite. Yes, she's so,
- 2:31:43Speaker 5: She's a hoot. Oh, I didn't mean to do that.
- 2:31:47Speaker 6: Also want to thank Orlando Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell. Want
- 2:31:51Speaker 6: to thank Patrick Salik and Savannah Alanza with the National
- 2:31:54Speaker 6: Kidney Foundation Surfest taking place this weekend. Also want to
- 2:31:58Speaker 6: thank Good Saw or Ross Padget from Good Sauce with
- 2:32:01Speaker 6: Ross and Joel. Just in case you miss Scott Animal
- 2:32:03Speaker 6: House or Ross Paget. All of their podcasts have been
- 2:32:06Speaker 6: posted at The Jim Culbert Show. And last but never least,
- 2:32:09Speaker 6: Sam Bow and Candice Rich for running our YouTube check.

- 2:32:20Speaker 8: back on the Jim Culbert Show YouTube page.
- 2:32:23Speaker 3: Welcome one and all.
- 2:32:24Speaker 8: Did you take advantage of Amazon Prime Day yesterday or Todayay,
- 2:32:28Speaker 8: there's a few hours.
- 2:32:30Speaker 3: I think it is at midnight.
- 2:32:31Speaker 8: Actually I think it's like three am because I think
- 2:32:33Speaker 8: they go by California time. I love this year, like
- 2:32:37Speaker 8: on Facebook or anything like that. A couple of things.
- 2:32:39Speaker 8: I bought a table countertop ice machine.
- 2:32:42Speaker 3: Oh did you really? And I don't know?
- 2:32:45Speaker 15: Oh?
- 2:32:45Speaker 3: And yeah, te Tree shampoo.
- 2:32:48Speaker 5: Oh, the conditioner Okay, I thought it was gonna be
- 2:32:50Speaker 5: the steamer.
- 2:32:50Speaker 8: How much was the ice machine? And what kind of
- 2:32:52Speaker 8: ice does it make, so it'll be I don't know.
- 2:32:54Speaker 8: I think it's it's junkie, and I think I'm gonna
- 2:32:56Speaker 8: hate it.
- 2:32:57Speaker 3: But this seventy dollars, Yeah, it makes sense, but it
- 2:33:02Speaker 3: doesn't keep it cold.
- 2:33:03Speaker 8: So once you make it, you gotta either put it
- 2:33:05Speaker 8: in the freezer or use it all right away.
- 2:33:07Speaker 3: Oh that's wild. But it had really good reviews. I
- 2:33:11Speaker 3: mean you needed it. You said that you needed it.
- 2:33:13Speaker 1: Jack.
- 2:33:13Speaker 3: We needed ice. Nobody needs it more than Jack. I
- 2:33:16Speaker 3: don't need it.
- 2:33:16Speaker 8: My kids in the What was the number, I say,
- 2:33:19Speaker 8: fifteen percent said they did. Oh, twenty one percent took
- 2:33:23Speaker 8: advantage of Amazon.
- 2:33:24Speaker 3: Still not bad, I mean one of five people. That's
- 2:33:25Speaker 3: not bad at all. All right again, Danny Meyron, come
