- 0:10Speaker 2: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Kilowatts of power. What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown.
- 0:42Speaker 3: I'm Brian.
- 0:42Speaker 4: This is Roger.
- 0:42Speaker 5: I am Misty.
- 0:43Speaker 6: I'm Jay, back from the third dimension.
- 0:45Speaker 7: I'm Marlena.
- 1:00Speaker 8: I can't follow that up.
- 1:02Speaker 9: Where is the third dimension?
- 1:03Speaker 6: I have no idea.
- 1:04Speaker 9: What did you do there?
- 1:06Speaker 6: Stuck in a shitty job dimension.
- 1:07Speaker 9: Oh, God. Wait, no. I know that dimension.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Funny me.
- 1:10Speaker 10: Yeah, I went from a perfectly okay job, and then
- 1:13Speaker 10: I got sucked into a shitty job.
- 1:15Speaker 6: Dag.
- 1:15Speaker 8: So you hate your new job?
- 1:17Speaker 6: I hate my new job. You hate your last job? Yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 6: I want out of that place as soon as possible.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:21Speaker 9: Somewhere, something's crying.
- 1:25Speaker 6: So that way we want to kick off our week.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 6: The fun activities. Yeah.
- 1:33Speaker 11: Mine were not as bad, I guess. I don't hate
- 1:37Speaker 11: my job. I hate the rest of my life, but
- 1:39Speaker 11: I'm okay with my job. Other than that, yeah, anything
- 1:43Speaker 11: I set out to watch, I didn't actually watch this week.
- 1:46Speaker 11: The only things I watched were, like, accidental. And it
- 1:49Speaker 11: seems like that happens more and more anymore. I will
- 1:51Speaker 11: sort of have the TV on not paying attention, and
- 1:53Speaker 11: then something will... Come on, and before I know it,
- 1:56Speaker 11: I'm halfway into it.
- 1:57Speaker 6: Grab your eyeballs.
- 1:58Speaker 11: Yeah, the first one was, I think this week was
- 2:01Speaker 11: the first time it premiered on cable, because that's a
- 2:04Speaker 11: big deal.
- 2:05Speaker 6: Six years later.
- 2:07Speaker 11: The Halloween 2. I ended up re-watching the Halloween 2
- 2:11Speaker 11: from last year.
- 2:12Speaker 12: I still haven't watched it.
- 2:13Speaker 9: Still have not either.
- 2:14Speaker 11: I still have the same issues with it. I, you know,
- 2:17Speaker 11: Daniel's awesome. The Brad Dourif guy's really cool in it. But, yeah, Scout,
- 2:22Speaker 11: I'm just not sold on. The story I have major
- 2:24Speaker 11: issues with. I did this time the Brie Grant, the
- 2:28Speaker 11: blonde chick in it with the glasses. She's actually really cute.
- 2:31Speaker 11: I may have to see what else. Because I saw another.
- 2:33Speaker 11: She's also in that weird midnight movie I just watched here.
- 2:36Speaker 11: So I may have to see what other stuff she's in.
- 2:38Speaker 6: In that E-Trade? midnight movie i hated.
- 2:42Speaker 8: Midnight i know but the name is so awesome it's
- 2:45Speaker 8: just like midnight meat train how could this movie be bad.
- 2:47Speaker 12: Oh it is oh i fucking hate that.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Vinnie jones i want to beat the hell out of
- 2:51Speaker 4: you but i probably can't i don't know i.
- 2:54Speaker 6: Saw that fat guy on youtube beat the crap out
- 2:56Speaker 6: of vinnie.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Jones are you calling me are you calling me the
- 2:58Speaker 4: fat guy on youtube i'm not sure i like that What?
- 3:02Speaker 8: Vinnie Jones is awesome. I don't normally want to beat
- 3:04Speaker 8: him up.
- 3:04Speaker 9: That was at a pool hall or something, right?
- 3:07Speaker 6: Yeah, he tried to get in a fight with this
- 3:09Speaker 6: guy in the hallway or something. He got creamed. I
- 3:11Speaker 6: think the guy pushed him down or did something. I
- 3:14Speaker 6: don't know. It was pretty funny, though. Otherwise, let's see.
- 3:18Speaker 11: But I mean, I did notice, I guess I probably
- 3:21Speaker 11: mentioned that at the time, but the visuals are still good,
- 3:24Speaker 11: like in the dream sequences. And when you give him
- 3:26Speaker 11: a reason to come up with these crazy visuals, he
- 3:29Speaker 11: kind of, you know, Rob Zombie still has these moments
- 3:32Speaker 11: where he's, you know, got something to offer. So I
- 3:35Speaker 11: wish he would just get over his weird attitude. And
- 3:37Speaker 11: maybe it's good that he's, you know, getting away from
- 3:39Speaker 11: remakes now and he'll do a real movie again.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:42Speaker 6: Yeah, this one, there's just so many issues.
- 3:44Speaker 8: The ambiguous timeline I really had a problem with. You're like,
- 3:47Speaker 8: it's set in the 70s, and then they pull out
- 3:49Speaker 8: cell phones, and you're like, I don't understand.
- 3:53Speaker 6: I don't think it's in the 70s.
- 3:55Speaker 8: I know, but it looks and everything feels like it's
- 3:57Speaker 8: set in the 70s.
- 3:59Speaker 11: It's just in his brain. It's where it is. It's
- 4:03Speaker 11: all set in the world that he lives in, which
- 4:05Speaker 11: is still sort of like that 13-year-old kid he always was.
- 4:08Speaker 12: I don't think I had a problem with that as much.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I'm usually a pretty pissy bitch about shit like that.
- 4:15Speaker 8: And the timeline was skewed. I don't remember. It's been
- 4:18Speaker 8: over a year since I've watched it. But her growing
- 4:21Speaker 8: up and the.
- 4:24Speaker 8: The timeline was just off or something. That's what I
- 4:26Speaker 8: remember about it most, but I can't exactly remember how,
- 4:29Speaker 8: cause it's been a while, but carry on.
- 4:31Speaker 6: That's still the least of its issues plot wise.
- 4:34Speaker 11: It's got other problems, but the other one is, I mean,
- 4:38Speaker 11: that one wasn't a surprise, especially since I'd already seen
- 4:40Speaker 11: it before the other one, even I'm still kind of
- 4:42Speaker 11: in shock that I mostly because I think I was
- 4:44Speaker 11: going in thinking it was a different movie.
- 4:47Speaker 6: That's probably why I stuck with it as long as
- 4:49Speaker 6: I did. I ended up watching the long shots. long
- 4:52Speaker 6: shots i.
- 4:52Speaker 11: Kept thinking like i kept waiting for the rest of
- 4:54Speaker 11: it to kick in because i think i was mixing
- 4:56Speaker 11: it up with the replacements which is kind of another
- 5:00Speaker 11: the replacements is the horrible football movie with like keanu
- 5:04Speaker 11: and i and i thought that's what was coming on
- 5:06Speaker 11: i was like oh god i don't want to watch
- 5:07Speaker 11: this and then i kept seeing like no keanu and
- 5:10Speaker 11: then like Ice Cube.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Shows up, and I'm just like, what?
- 5:13Speaker 11: Wait, when is the terrible Keanu plotline going to kick in? So, yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 11: it was like halfway in. I was like, oh, I
- 5:19Speaker 11: think this is a totally different movie. And by that point,
- 5:21Speaker 11: I was like, well, I kind of like this other
- 5:23Speaker 11: girl in it. The Long Shots is an entirely different thing.
- 5:28Speaker 11: It's more of a heartwarming sports movie, which, you know,
- 5:32Speaker 11: that's about all they make.
- 5:33Speaker 12: That's two things I don't like. Heartwarming movies and sports movies.
- 5:35Speaker 11: See, that's why I'm still in shock that I watched it,
- 5:37Speaker 11: because I am not one for, oh, I love the
- 5:39Speaker 11: sports movies!
- 5:40Speaker 9: Was it still underdog-ish?
- 5:42Speaker 11: It's very underdog-ish. And that's the part of it I
- 5:44Speaker 11: think I got sold on. The little girl that was
- 5:47Speaker 11: in it is Kiki Palmer, who was, she's actually the
- 5:49Speaker 11: same girl that was in Akilah and the Bee, which
- 5:51Speaker 11: I have still not seen either, but That was I mean,
- 5:54Speaker 11: that's you know, she's sort of an up and coming
- 5:56Speaker 11: actress and she plays this little like girl in high
- 5:59Speaker 11: school and she is like a nerd and she sits
- 6:02Speaker 11: around reading all the time. And, you know, the kids
- 6:04Speaker 11: don't like her and she she's got her dad skipped
- 6:07Speaker 11: out on her. She's got an uncle that's like. pretty
- 6:09Speaker 11: much homeless at this point. I mean, he, he's got a, well,
- 6:12Speaker 11: he's not homeless. He just, he has no job. He
- 6:14Speaker 11: wanders around and hangs out at the park all day.
- 6:16Speaker 11: You know, he still carries a football around with him
- 6:18Speaker 11: because he was like, he was like a hero.
- 6:21Speaker 6: He will know.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 6: He was like, he was a high school football hero.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Kind of.
- 6:26Speaker 11: Ice Cube is Al Bundy in this movie because his
- 6:29Speaker 11: entire life still centers around when he was a football
- 6:31Speaker 11: star in high school.
- 6:32Speaker 6: And then his knee went out. Is he a shoe salesman? No,
- 6:36Speaker 6: he got a job at the plant.
- 6:38Speaker 11: That's another little heartwarming aspect of this is the fact
- 6:41Speaker 11: that it's the small town and then the plant closed down.
- 6:44Speaker 11: So the whole town has gone to hell now because
- 6:46Speaker 11: the only place that everybody had a job is now
- 6:49Speaker 11: closed down. So it's got all these weird little... social
- 6:51Speaker 11: comments that it's trying to make along the way that
- 6:53Speaker 11: are a little, a little heavy handed. No, but there's, there's, again,
- 6:57Speaker 11: I don't care about all that stuff. The part with,
- 6:59Speaker 11: with the girl was actually pretty good because she, At
- 7:02Speaker 11: some point, she throws the football at him.
- 7:04Speaker 6: He was like, damn.
- 7:05Speaker 11: He was like, you actually got it armed. You feel
- 7:09Speaker 11: like a girl. No, he starts teaching her how to
- 7:11Speaker 11: play football. And she's like, I don't want to play football.
- 7:14Speaker 8: So he forces her so to live vicariously through.
- 7:16Speaker 9: Yeah, I need to live vicariously through.
- 7:17Speaker 6: Yeah, that's how it starts.
- 7:19Speaker 11: But then by the end, she sort of starts to
- 7:22Speaker 11: find herself in this process. She really isn't the outcast.
- 7:25Speaker 11: All of a sudden, she goes through the hazing of
- 7:28Speaker 11: you're a girl, get the hell off our team. And
- 7:30Speaker 11: then eventually the guys realize, holy shit, she can make
- 7:32Speaker 11: us have a real football team. And then it becomes
- 7:35Speaker 11: this point of, like, the team actually gets behind her.
- 7:37Speaker 6: And, like, they let her.
- 7:41Speaker 6: She's not the sinner. It's like Teen Wolf, right?
- 7:49Speaker 11: No, because the team hated Teen Wolf because he was
- 7:51Speaker 11: a jackass and he was like a showboat.
- 7:53Speaker 6: This is the opposite. She's actually there and part of
- 7:56Speaker 6: the team and helping them.
- 7:57Speaker 11: So they're all like, okay, well, we have a reason
- 7:59Speaker 11: to actually be friends with you. So it's sort of
- 8:03Speaker 11: like her being accepted and not being outcast for once
- 8:06Speaker 11: in her life. And then Ice Cube, again, he has
- 8:11Speaker 11: his moments where he's actually a decent actor. Like, of
- 8:13Speaker 11: all your rap stars turned actor, of which there are
- 8:15Speaker 11: an abundance of, most of them are usually pretty bad.
- 8:19Speaker 11: He never plays anything far from himself or the version
- 8:23Speaker 11: of himself he always ends up playing in everything. But
- 8:25Speaker 11: he at least sells it. Like, I almost buy him
- 8:28Speaker 11: as this guy. I mean, he really does... play this
- 8:31Speaker 11: you know he's out of work he's just hanging around
- 8:32Speaker 11: he seems like he's a down on his luck kind
- 8:34Speaker 11: of guy and then by the end of it he's
- 8:36Speaker 11: so like instrumental in the teaching of her that when
- 8:40Speaker 11: the coach you know can't play anymore he ends up
- 8:42Speaker 11: stepping in as the coach of the entire team and
- 8:45Speaker 11: it sort of changes his life too so that's the
- 8:48Speaker 11: the whole crazy heartwarming bullshit dreams.
- 8:50Speaker 8: Do come true I mean, am I crazy, but coaching
- 8:53Speaker 8: a high school football team is, like, not the greatest
- 8:55Speaker 8: accomplishment in life.
- 8:56Speaker 11: It is when your entire day consists of drinking a
- 8:59Speaker 11: 40 out of a paper bag in the park.
- 9:01Speaker 8: I guess.
- 9:02Speaker 11: I mean, at this point, he has a job. He
- 9:04Speaker 11: has a life.
- 9:05Speaker 6: He has a purpose. He has purpose.
- 9:07Speaker 11: He has people to interact with. I mean, it really does, like,
- 9:10Speaker 11: give you this character development on both of these people.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I mean, those two are actually useful characters.
- 9:15Speaker 11: The again the conventions of the story are very tired
- 9:19Speaker 11: very played out so i'm not surprised but and the
- 9:22Speaker 11: fact that it is a true story the girl that
- 9:24Speaker 11: she's playing was the first girl to be able to
- 9:27Speaker 11: play pop warner football ever in history so it's like
- 9:31Speaker 11: it is you know the fact that it was sort
- 9:33Speaker 11: of groundbreaking and all of that is kind of cool
- 9:35Speaker 11: and and in its existence the movie isn't anything amazing
- 9:40Speaker 11: the most amazing thing was at the end credits um
- 9:43Speaker 11: it came up directed by fred durst Really?
- 9:47Speaker 8: Like the real Fred?
- 9:48Speaker 6: And I had to go.
- 9:49Speaker 11: I was like, is there another Fred Durst out there? No,
- 9:53Speaker 11: it was directed by a backwards hat wearing Fred Durst.
- 9:57Speaker 8: I feel like he was in something else.
- 9:59Speaker 3: No.
- 10:00Speaker 8: I watched a movie.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Britney Spears. Not according to her. That's what ended his career.
- 10:09Speaker 6: Along with her.
- 10:10Speaker 8: Along with his terrible music.
- 10:12Speaker 6: That too.
- 10:13Speaker 8: No, it was a movie that had... What's this face
- 10:16Speaker 8: from Clueless that I love?
- 10:17Speaker 4: Jeremy Sisto, Suck and Blow. Population 351.
- 10:23Speaker 8: Fred Durst was in Population 351. It took me the
- 10:25Speaker 8: whole movie to realize it, too. I didn't realize it
- 10:27Speaker 8: until the end credits. I was like, oh my god,
- 10:29Speaker 8: that was Fred Durst. Do you like Suck and Blow?
- 10:30Speaker 8: I love Jeremy Sisto. Dude, really?
- 10:32Speaker 12: Suck and Blow is Jesus.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Only in bad made-for-TV movies.
- 10:38Speaker 12: I yelled that in the little blockbuster once.
- 10:41Speaker 6: Holy shit, Suck and Blow is Jesus!
- 10:44Speaker 11: I'm sure people would take that the wrong way. And
- 10:46Speaker 11: people listening now probably have no idea what you're talking about.
- 10:49Speaker 9: I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 10:50Speaker 11: The few that are piecing this story together. Yeah, Jeremy
- 10:53Speaker 11: Sisto is, at least for us, since Clueless has come out,
- 10:58Speaker 11: I've referred to him as Suck and Blow because he
- 11:01Speaker 11: has the famous Suck and Blow scene in Clueless.
- 11:04Speaker 6: And that was about the only useful thing he did
- 11:06Speaker 6: in Clueless. He's a tool in that movie, too.
- 11:09Speaker 8: I loved him in May.
- 11:11Speaker 6: What's happening? Who was that guy?
- 11:13Speaker 4: He was the jackass-y rich guy.
- 11:16Speaker 6: Is he.
- 11:18Speaker 12: He's in May.
- 11:19Speaker 8: He's in.
- 11:20Speaker 6: He's on Law & Order now. Dead in Breakfast. I mean,
- 11:22Speaker 6: he's in a lot of stuff.
- 11:23Speaker 12: I love Dead in Breakfast.
- 11:24Speaker 11: But he's handsome.
- 11:25Speaker 8: He's always kind of a jerk and he has a
- 11:26Speaker 8: deep voice.
- 11:26Speaker 4: According to one of those celebrity match, he is my
- 11:28Speaker 4: dream match. According to one of those celebrity match.com.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Don't trust those things on the internet.
- 11:34Speaker 8: No, I want to be part of that match.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I mean.
- 11:36Speaker 7: No, no.
- 11:39Speaker 8: Not like a triangle, but like.
- 11:41Speaker 9: room for one more.
- 11:42Speaker 12: No offense.
- 11:44Speaker 11: You're horning in on her celebrity love life.
- 11:46Speaker 12: That's what I mean. You can take him.
- 11:49Speaker 8: I'll take him. He's kind of always a jerk and
- 11:52Speaker 8: he has a deep voice. That's all I need.
- 11:54Speaker 12: But anyways, we were at Blockbuster once.
- 11:56Speaker 9: That's awesome.
- 11:59Speaker 4: We were at Blockbuster one time, and I forget which
- 12:02Speaker 4: movie it was.
- 12:03Speaker 11: I think it's like Jesus of Nazareth or something they remade.
- 12:06Speaker 11: It was for one of the cable. It's like Hallmark
- 12:09Speaker 11: Channel or somebody.
- 12:10Speaker 9: Lifetime.
- 12:11Speaker 11: It went through making all these biblical stories, and for
- 12:14Speaker 11: some reason when they cast Jesus, they cast Jeremy's sister.
- 12:17Speaker 8: That is kind of a strange.
- 12:18Speaker 4: So, yeah, very loudly because I think you were like
- 12:20Speaker 4: a couple aisles away.
- 12:23Speaker 6: I believe I was. I held it up, too. It's like, oh,
- 12:26Speaker 6: this is why we can't go out in public.
- 12:28Speaker 4: It's like, I'm going to blow his cheese inside.
- 12:33Speaker 11: Oh, God. So, yeah, Fred Durst. But, yeah, then I
- 12:38Speaker 11: had to check. And, well, I think the more I
- 12:39Speaker 11: thought about it, I was like, no, I do remember
- 12:41Speaker 11: him directing videos. Like, at the end of their popularity
- 12:44Speaker 11: as musicians, I do remember him being attached to and
- 12:48Speaker 11: directing a lot of their videos. And they started doing, like,
- 12:50Speaker 11: Korn videos. And all the people in their little circle
- 12:53Speaker 11: he started directing videos for. And then I looked, he
- 12:55Speaker 11: also did another movie, too. Like, a year or two before,
- 12:57Speaker 11: he did a different movie.
- 12:58Speaker 6: What was it? It's... Oh, shit. It's that... It's... Don't
- 13:03Speaker 6: worry about it.
- 13:03Speaker 11: The Education of Charlie something or other.
- 13:05Speaker 6: It's got.
- 13:07Speaker 11: You get another Halloween tale.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 8: I think that was a pretty good movie. Yeah, The
- 13:12Speaker 8: Education of Charlie.
- 13:13Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what... That's like a big indie movie.
- 13:16Speaker 11: Yeah, it did not seem to fit him. At least
- 13:18Speaker 11: this one I can understand. He's working with Ice Cube.
- 13:21Speaker 11: It's about a down-and-out team. I can almost see... you know,
- 13:25Speaker 11: him wanting to do a sports movie or something. But, yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 11: that didn't seem like his movie at all. So it
- 13:30Speaker 11: was weird that.
- 13:31Speaker 6: He's a director.
- 13:31Speaker 11: And I'm having a horrible nightmare of flash-forwarding, like, 15
- 13:35Speaker 11: years and him sitting at the Oscars.
- 13:37Speaker 9: Oh, God.
- 13:38Speaker 13: I'm like, will he ever.
- 13:39Speaker 6: Actually be taken seriously? Still going by Fred Durst.
- 13:41Speaker 8: I never thought it would happen with Marky. Mark, but he's, like,
- 13:43Speaker 8: an A-list.
- 13:44Speaker 7: I know.
- 13:44Speaker 6: There you go.
- 13:45Speaker 4: He's got a third nipple, and the bitches like to
- 13:47Speaker 4: suck it.
- 13:48Speaker 6: That will never get old.
- 13:50Speaker 13: Right.
- 13:52Speaker 6: But, yeah, I don't know.
- 13:54Speaker 11: I mean, you do see people do that turnaround in
- 13:56Speaker 11: their career and go from a joke to actually being
- 13:59Speaker 11: taken seriously.
- 13:59Speaker 6: So maybe that future is out there for Fred Durst.
- 14:02Speaker 8: I don't think that's too far-fetched. I mean, Ron Howard was, like, Opie,
- 14:07Speaker 8: and then he was on Happy Days.
- 14:08Speaker 6: He was Richie Cunningham.
- 14:09Speaker 8: Richie Cunningham, and now he's, like, yeah.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 6: That is one of the few places... Ron Howard, I'm
- 14:16Speaker 6: a director.
- 14:17Speaker 11: If you can escape behind the camera, yeah, you can
- 14:19Speaker 11: at least sort of distance yourself from it.
- 14:22Speaker 6: And then Meathead.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 14:24Speaker 8: Although I don't really think he's that great.
- 14:25Speaker 11: Well, and he has his moments of being pretty awesome,
- 14:28Speaker 11: but yeah, he's... Meathead?
- 14:30Speaker 6: Rob Reiner?
- 14:31Speaker 3: No.
- 14:32Speaker 11: But, I mean, he didn't spend a whole lot of time.
- 14:35Speaker 11: He was just on one sitcom for a while, and
- 14:37Speaker 11: then he quickly moved behind this camera, so.
- 14:40Speaker 8: That was actually really popular in that era, and it
- 14:42Speaker 8: was all shows that were connected, you know, like All
- 14:45Speaker 8: in the Family, Happy Days, and then Penny Marshall from
- 14:48Speaker 8: Laverne and Shirley.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Yeah, pretty much.
- 14:50Speaker 8: They all became, like, directors.
- 14:51Speaker 6: Pretty much everybody Happy Days.
- 14:52Speaker 11: I think Anson Williams became, like, a huge TV director,
- 14:56Speaker 11: and then I think even Donnie Most tried to do.
- 14:58Speaker 6: It once or twice.
- 14:59Speaker 8: He's like, everybody else is doing it.
- 15:00Speaker 6: Yeah, might as well get behind the camera.
- 15:03Speaker 8: Why didn't George Jefferson ever direct anything?
- 15:05Speaker 6: He might have.
- 15:05Speaker 9: Yeah, right?
- 15:06Speaker 6: Because he had other stellar TV shows.
- 15:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 12: To Lisa.
- 15:12Speaker 6: I don't direct cameras to Lisa. He had Amen and shit.
- 15:15Speaker 6: I remember that show. My mom used to watch that
- 15:19Speaker 6: show all the time. God, they loved that show. Oh, Lord. So, yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 6: those were the two.
- 15:25Speaker 11: I'm still in shock that I watched the long shots
- 15:27Speaker 11: because I could give a rat's ass about sports movies.
- 15:29Speaker 14: Or heartwarming movies.
- 15:31Speaker 11: Or heartwarming movies. But, yeah, the Kiki Palmer girl is
- 15:34Speaker 11: actually a good actress. I'd like to see where she
- 15:37Speaker 11: turns up in a few years because I can see
- 15:38Speaker 11: her actually.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Becoming a legitimate star.
- 15:42Speaker 9: Going somewhere, doing things.
- 15:43Speaker 6: Yeah, being a big name actor. Sounds like that time
- 15:45Speaker 6: I got sucked into Seabiscuit.
- 15:47Speaker 9: That was a good movie.
- 15:48Speaker 6: It was.
- 15:49Speaker 4: I know.
- 15:49Speaker 10: I would never watch a movie about horse racing. I
- 15:52Speaker 10: could give a shit less about fucking horse racing.
- 15:55Speaker 12: Or Tobey Maguire.
- 15:56Speaker 6: Or Tobey Maguire for that matter. I love that. I
- 15:59Speaker 6: was sat there.
- 15:59Speaker 9: I love that damn horse.
- 16:00Speaker 6: And I got sucked into it. I almost got sucked
- 16:03Speaker 6: into that Bob Hope movie. last night. Oh, wow.
- 16:06Speaker 12: I was like, oh, I gotta turn the channel.
- 16:08Speaker 11: Like a day at the races or something, right?
- 16:10Speaker 12: No, no, we were on some island and there was
- 16:12Speaker 12: a monkey.
- 16:12Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 16:15Speaker 4: I probably would have sat there and watched it, but
- 16:18Speaker 4: then a commercial came up.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Then a commercial came up and then I was like,
- 16:20Speaker 6: what was I watching? Oh, shit. And then I start
- 16:23Speaker 6: changing the channel.
- 16:23Speaker 11: Anything with a monkey sucks you in every time.
- 16:26Speaker 6: I had a tiger that attacked a guy in a
- 16:28Speaker 6: gorilla suit. Oh, word.
- 16:30Speaker 4: And the tiger killed the monkey, and then the monkey's
- 16:33Speaker 4: mate got all sad.
- 16:34Speaker 11: Is this the Siegfried and Roy story?
- 16:35Speaker 6: I don't know. I probably should have watched the whole thing,
- 16:40Speaker 6: but whatever.
- 16:40Speaker 12: We would have actually watched something for our game.
- 16:42Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah. Instead of me just falling asleep on the
- 16:45Speaker 6: couch like an old man.
- 16:46Speaker 11: I'll go watch Secretariat today.
- 16:48Speaker 9: Secretariat.
- 16:49Speaker 11: Only because Diane Lane is in the area. I'm hoping
- 16:53Speaker 11: to run into her later. I'll go to Target to
- 16:55Speaker 11: buy cereal.
- 16:56Speaker 6: Diane Lane's in the area? She's in Lexington. They're having
- 16:59Speaker 6: a premiere of Secretariat. Oh, I thought you meant she
- 17:02Speaker 6: lives here.
- 17:02Speaker 12: Well, it reminds me. I missed the Shatner art show yesterday.
- 17:05Speaker 5: What?
- 17:06Speaker 4: Shatner's wife had an art show in Lexington yesterday, and
- 17:09Speaker 4: there was an open invitation on the air.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Oh, good for her.
- 17:12Speaker 11: Was he gonna be there he was supposed to be
- 17:13Speaker 11: there oh man you could have gone and been like
- 17:15Speaker 11: by the way sir you're a jerk yeah actually i
- 17:19Speaker 11: like your show but you're a jerk.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Did you ever watch boston legal no he was awesome
- 17:27Speaker 4: on that too i.
- 17:28Speaker 8: Heard it was really funny he would like situations would
- 17:31Speaker 8: get tense and he'd just reintroduce himself like.
- 17:33Speaker 4: That was like the joke of the show i should
- 17:34Speaker 4: actually watch that because the new show uh bleep my
- 17:37Speaker 4: dad said i watched the first episode and it sucked
- 17:39Speaker 4: so bad i haven't gone back to watch anymore Is
- 17:41Speaker 4: that the end of your Geek Week?
- 17:42Speaker 6: Yeah, that's pretty much it for me.
- 17:43Speaker 12: How about you, Roger? Did you have Geek Week?
- 17:45Speaker 9: Our Geek Week, Joni, who is the Phantom today, is
- 17:48Speaker 9: not here.
- 17:48Speaker 4: I thought you referred to yourself like we as we
- 17:50Speaker 4: don't even know when you're by yourself.
- 17:51Speaker 9: Well, we're a unit, always.
- 17:53Speaker 6: You're morphing into one.
- 17:54Speaker 14: Yeah, really, it's weird. I've got a small arm growing
- 17:58Speaker 14: out of my side.
- 17:59Speaker 9: It's strange.
- 18:00Speaker 14: But I think Avatar, we borrowed the whole Avatar Last
- 18:04Speaker 14: Airbender from my friend, who had the complete series and
- 18:08Speaker 14: burned through that this week.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Not the movie.
- 18:10Speaker 14: Not the movie, which we'd still like to see, but
- 18:13Speaker 14: I saw Appa in CG, and it was so terrible.
- 18:17Speaker 14: I laughed out loud and was like, this is a
- 18:19Speaker 14: flaming piece of shit, which I will see. But once
- 18:22Speaker 14: it comes out on DVD or somebody owns it, because
- 18:24Speaker 14: I don't want to pay even a dollar.
- 18:26Speaker 6: Nobody's going to own that.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Nobody's going to want to own that.
- 18:28Speaker 9: I'll find it somehow.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Wow.
- 18:30Speaker 9: Not even a dollar. TV.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:33Speaker 9: I don't like M. Night Shyamalan. I've never been a
- 18:35Speaker 9: big fan of his.
- 18:36Speaker 3: And.
- 18:37Speaker 14: I don't know, it just seems like this is something
- 18:39Speaker 14: more personal that he's crapped on. Like, oh, God, I
- 18:43Speaker 14: love Avatar The Last Airbender, and you screwed that up?
- 18:45Speaker 9: Oh, hell no.
- 18:46Speaker 6: Oh, it's on.
- 18:47Speaker 9: God, seriously.
- 18:50Speaker 6: I think he got... It's the trees, it's the trees.
- 18:52Speaker 9: They're killing people.
- 18:53Speaker 11: He got led astray, because that's one of those, actually,
- 18:56Speaker 11: I think it was a week before last, that same
- 18:58Speaker 11: thing ended up.
- 18:58Speaker 6: It was on regular TV, and I just looked up,
- 19:01Speaker 6: and it was in the middle of Unbreakable. Which is
- 19:05Speaker 6: actually good.
- 19:05Speaker 11: I haven't watched it since the first time when it
- 19:07Speaker 11: came out on DVD. The thing is, it's a good movie.
- 19:10Speaker 11: And on top of that, his visuals were really impressive.
- 19:13Speaker 11: And I hadn't paid attention to that. And I was like,
- 19:15Speaker 11: you know what? If you go back far enough, he
- 19:17Speaker 11: was a talented filmmaker.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah, 100%.
- 19:18Speaker 11: Happened he lost his damn mind because you look at
- 19:21Speaker 11: the last several things he's made and I'm just like
- 19:23Speaker 11: what the fuck are you doing with your career so
- 19:26Speaker 11: yeah it is sad because I hadn't I just sort
- 19:29Speaker 11: of gotten to the point of like he's a joke
- 19:31Speaker 11: he's a joke but I haven't watched The Sixth Sense
- 19:33Speaker 11: in forever I didn't have a problem with that one
- 19:34Speaker 11: and then Unbreakable was the same way it's like there's
- 19:37Speaker 11: a good movie there and somebody talented who made it
- 19:41Speaker 11: and since then he's lost his damn mind.
- 19:43Speaker 14: So so we did we did that and then just
- 19:47Speaker 14: the other day uh she hadn't seen the real original alien.
- 19:50Speaker 9: So i was like oh we gotta watch.
- 19:52Speaker 11: That shit did you set her straight.
- 19:54Speaker 14: Mother in yeah i set her straight on a couch
- 19:57Speaker 14: and shoot Watch an alien. And it was bad. She's like, yeah,
- 20:01Speaker 14: it's awesome. She's like, it stands up really well today.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:04Speaker 9: You know, as far as, you know.
- 20:06Speaker 10: Except for the Sigourney Weaver and her bikini briefs. Because, like,
- 20:10Speaker 10: back in the day when that came out, I was like, God,
- 20:12Speaker 10: she's fucking hot.
- 20:14Speaker 6: And now I'm, like, looking at it going, was I
- 20:15Speaker 6: just an overly horny bitch?
- 20:18Speaker 10: Teen yes i was like looking at it going down
- 20:21Speaker 10: i was like.
- 20:22Speaker 9: I always thought sigourney weaver was attractive.
- 20:24Speaker 11: Shoot well and at that point you didn't get tons
- 20:27Speaker 11: of nudity and stuff it was just getting to that
- 20:29Speaker 11: point where you know you they'd been playing it like
- 20:31Speaker 11: in you know grindhouse kind of movies but you didn't
- 20:33Speaker 11: have a lot of crossover into mainstream movies where actors
- 20:36Speaker 11: would just get naked not all the time they did
- 20:38Speaker 11: but it was a big deal so yeah the fact
- 20:41Speaker 11: that you know this especially in the next few years
- 20:44Speaker 11: when she became a huge star was hanging out in
- 20:45Speaker 11: her underwear you know it was a big deal.
- 20:47Speaker 14: At the time well it's funny that you say that
- 20:49Speaker 14: is you know that's the first thing that joni says
- 20:50Speaker 14: she's like i.
- 20:53Speaker 9: Don't like her tits and i was like what's wrong
- 20:54Speaker 9: and i stopped the video i'm like wait hold on.
- 20:57Speaker 11: You paused it at the right moment whoa let's take
- 21:00Speaker 11: a look here hold on let's uh go back and
- 21:02Speaker 11: rewind But she really enjoyed it, said that it held
- 21:05Speaker 11: up really well, and I'm like, good.
- 21:06Speaker 14: So we're going to watch the second one, Aliens, which
- 21:08Speaker 14: everyone knows is my favorite movie of all time.
- 21:11Speaker 6: Yeah, it is fucking awesome.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Stop it.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Why?
- 21:16Speaker 12: It's distracting.
- 21:17Speaker 9: I'm sorry. Oh, my God.
- 21:20Speaker 6: You two are having issues over there.
- 21:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 21:22Speaker 6: He said you're flailing about.
- 21:23Speaker 12: I'm trying to figure out what.
- 21:24Speaker 9: The hell's going on.
- 21:26Speaker 6: What's happening?
- 21:27Speaker 9: He's dancing.
- 21:27Speaker 6: Hold his tongue down.
- 21:29Speaker 9: Put something in his mouth. He'll bite his tongue off.
- 21:31Speaker 12: All right, sorry.
- 21:32Speaker 9: And I think that's pretty much it.
- 21:35Speaker 4: We didn't watch anything except for a little bit of TV,
- 21:37Speaker 4: but I'll first get into my reading because I read.
- 21:39Speaker 6: You are a reader.
- 21:40Speaker 13: I am a reader.
- 21:41Speaker 4: First, I read the Walt Disney Studios, The Black Hole,
- 21:45Speaker 4: a pop-up book.
- 21:45Speaker 6: Did you really read it? I did.
- 21:47Speaker 9: No, I actually read all the words.
- 21:48Speaker 6: There are words.
- 21:49Speaker 12: There aren't that many, but I read them.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Mostly, I just pulled the little thing that makes the
- 21:52Speaker 4: alien or the robot come down.
- 21:54Speaker 13: I did, dude.
- 21:55Speaker 12: It was kind of scary.
- 21:57Speaker 9: Does it have parts in the book that, for more information,
- 21:59Speaker 9: see movie?
- 21:59Speaker 3: No.
- 22:01Speaker 11: See, look.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Yay.
- 22:02Speaker 6: Nobody at home can see this.
- 22:03Speaker 11: See, Vincent's head just popped up. You guys are missing out.
- 22:06Speaker 12: We can post pictures if necessary.
- 22:08Speaker 9: What the hell is that?
- 22:09Speaker 6: He's riding on Vincent.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Vincent offers Pizer, I don't know how to say his name,
- 22:16Speaker 4: because I've never actually seen the movie, so this is
- 22:17Speaker 4: all a big surprise to me because I don't know
- 22:18Speaker 4: what the hell happened.
- 22:19Speaker 6: I say we work that one in.
- 22:20Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh. Yeah, that movie's so bad.
- 22:22Speaker 6: I'm putting that on the list. I haven't seen that
- 22:24Speaker 6: in forever.
- 22:25Speaker 9: It's exciting.
- 22:25Speaker 12: I got it at a flea market.
- 22:27Speaker 11: For $ 1.
- 22:27Speaker 10: That was one of the first model kits that I
- 22:29Speaker 10: put together was a Maximilian model kit.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Nice.
- 22:31Speaker 11: I still have my Maximilian figure.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Oh, man. I have such a weird thing for Maximilian.
- 22:37Speaker 9: He's a tight designer.
- 22:39Speaker 14: He's one of the tightest designs for any robot.
- 22:41Speaker 6: No, no, no. I mean, it was like way before transformers. Well, no,
- 22:44Speaker 6: way before transformers.
- 22:44Speaker 9: It was way before any robot looked cool.
- 22:46Speaker 10: Transformers, but I mean, you know, I mean, when we
- 22:49Speaker 10: were kids and you're obsessed with robots and you had
- 22:52Speaker 10: Shogun Warriors and stuff like that, but then you had
- 22:54Speaker 10: that come out and you were like, holy crap, that's awesome.
- 22:56Speaker 6: He's got little spinny things on his hands.
- 22:58Speaker 14: And you never really know what his deal is, which
- 23:00Speaker 14: makes him that much cooler.
- 23:02Speaker 12: See, there they are.
- 23:03Speaker 6: It's like we had.
- 23:05Speaker 6: We also didn't have badass robots.
- 23:08Speaker 11: At that point, before that, you've got Robbie the Robot
- 23:11Speaker 11: kind of robots in the 50s and 60s. And then
- 23:14Speaker 11: growing up, we had C-3PO and R2. And I'm like,
- 23:17Speaker 11: R2' s cool.
- 23:18Speaker 6: He's not a badass.
- 23:19Speaker 11: He's got attitude. You've got to like him for his attitude.
- 23:21Speaker 11: C-3PO is far from being a badass.
- 23:23Speaker 6: We all know.
- 23:24Speaker 9: The robots are always clunky.
- 23:25Speaker 8: He's like an English butler.
- 23:26Speaker 10: He is.
- 23:27Speaker 11: And so you get to a couple years later, and
- 23:30Speaker 11: you've got Maximilian come along.
- 23:32Speaker 6: You're like, holy shit.
- 23:32Speaker 9: The streamlined, hovering, sleek, weapon-tongued.
- 23:35Speaker 11: Silent blade bearing motherfucker you're just like holy shit robots
- 23:39Speaker 11: can be.
- 23:40Speaker 8: Awesome i have rocks on the inside of my pants
- 23:43Speaker 8: what i don't know you.
- 23:45Speaker 10: Got rocks in your pants what have you been doing
- 23:48Speaker 10: i don't know but anyways i read the black hole
- 23:51Speaker 10: pop-up book it was pretty exciting.
- 23:52Speaker 4: I was a spellbound It is fun. Later that night,
- 23:57Speaker 4: while Jay fell asleep on the couch like an old man, I.
- 24:00Speaker 12: Sat and read the Choose Your Own Adventure, Search for
- 24:03Speaker 12: a Unicorn.
- 24:04Speaker 6: Because both of these, you are about 11 years old.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I read the entire thing. I read the entire thing.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Every option, every ending, I read the entire thing.
- 24:12Speaker 6: Yeah. I was pretty excited. While I slept.
- 24:14Speaker 13: You did. I read it.
- 24:16Speaker 9: Thank God you weren't awake for it.
- 24:17Speaker 4: I'm telling you, it was pretty exciting. I had to
- 24:19Speaker 4: search for a unicorn in order to save my village. Yeah.
- 24:22Speaker 4: The water supply was contaminated by a dead rat.
- 24:24Speaker 11: Did you find a double rainbow at any point?
- 24:28Speaker 12: I had a tear rainbow where if you cried during
- 24:31Speaker 12: the moonlight, there would be a rainbow.
- 24:33Speaker 9: Oh, God.
- 24:35Speaker 4: And it would save the unicorn, and then the unicorn
- 24:38Speaker 4: would put its horn in the water, and then it
- 24:40Speaker 4: would keep drinking, so yay.
- 24:42Speaker 12: I had to save a village, and many times I failed,
- 24:44Speaker 12: and many times I succeeded. It was an adventurous night.
- 24:47Speaker 10: And then I got up and ran to the phone
- 24:48Speaker 10: and almost fell over and passed out.
- 24:51Speaker 12: Somebody, a wrong number called you at 1.30 in the morning.
- 24:53Speaker 6: It's the same lady all the time.
- 24:54Speaker 16: Hello?
- 24:54Speaker 3: Hello? Hello?
- 24:56Speaker 6: From South Carolina. Some Latin lady keeps calling me. Quit
- 24:59Speaker 6: calling me, okay? I'm not your mama. I'm not mama.
- 25:02Speaker 6: I'm not papa.
- 25:03Speaker 9: You'd be friends by now.
- 25:05Speaker 6: I know.
- 25:06Speaker 9: You could not be a wrong number.
- 25:08Speaker 6: No hables espanol. No hables nada. It really would be
- 25:11Speaker 6: amazing and kind of awesome if she also listened to
- 25:13Speaker 6: the show.
- 25:14Speaker 11: Completely by freak accident she was listening.
- 25:19Speaker 12: But yeah, we didn't watch any movies.
- 25:20Speaker 4: I watched a couple of TV shows, one of which
- 25:23Speaker 4: I'm now smitten with because I now love, I think
- 25:25Speaker 4: it's Raising Hope, which is a stupid ass name, but
- 25:27Speaker 4: it's got Martha Plimpton in it and it's fucking hilarious.
- 25:29Speaker 10: That's Martha Plimpton. I didn't even know it was Martha
- 25:31Speaker 10: Plimpton until you guys said it. Because it was Martha Plimpton,
- 25:34Speaker 10: I was like, holy shit, it was.
- 25:36Speaker 6: My god, she's yeah, she's become a mom.
- 25:39Speaker 4: She has it's like she's the grandma of the show now.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Yeah, that's true.
- 25:44Speaker 11: She well cuz the main character is her son and
- 25:48Speaker 11: the plot of the show is he now has a daughter.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Because the baby's mama went to jail for killing somebody
- 25:53Speaker 4: so she had the baby in jail and then miraculously
- 25:55Speaker 4: It just showed up on his doorstep and they killed
- 25:58Speaker 4: her That's my favorite.
- 25:59Speaker 11: It's not like she's still in prison like I I
- 26:01Speaker 11: just realized that point in this week's episode. I was like,
- 26:05Speaker 11: holy shit, they killed the mother?
- 26:06Speaker 6: I kind of like this show. It's fucking hilarious, dude.
- 26:09Speaker 12: I tell you. I mean, usually new shows I'm kind
- 26:11Speaker 12: of like, eh, but this one was fucking awesome.
- 26:13Speaker 13: I love it.
- 26:14Speaker 12: It's only been up like two episodes.
- 26:15Speaker 6: I know, I could hear you laughing in the other room.
- 26:18Speaker 12: Yeah, while you were pooping.
- 26:20Speaker 11: What?
- 26:20Speaker 6: That's why you missed it. It was on the internet.
- 26:24Speaker 1: No.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Hey, that's what laptops are for.
- 26:29Speaker 4: But anyways, other than that, I watched the Glee Britney
- 26:33Speaker 4: Spears special edition.
- 26:34Speaker 6: I did, unfortunately.
- 26:35Speaker 11: Once again, that was sort of going on in the background,
- 26:37Speaker 11: and I was trying not to pay attention.
- 26:39Speaker 4: I had to warn Jay.
- 26:40Speaker 12: I'm like, I'm going to watch Glee.
- 26:41Speaker 6: You might want to go in the other room. I
- 26:42Speaker 6: was like, all right, thanks for warning me.
- 26:44Speaker 11: I can't help it.
- 26:45Speaker 4: I now have a crush on the Glee teacher guy, Will,
- 26:47Speaker 4: whatever the fuck his name is.
- 26:48Speaker 8: Yeah, I kind of do, too.
- 26:49Speaker 12: He's so adorable, and he can sing and dance at
- 26:51Speaker 12: the same.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Time, so.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:54Speaker 11: Again, that's all I can give him credit for is
- 26:56Speaker 11: just the technical end anymore because the story is gone. Like,
- 26:59Speaker 11: there is no story anymore. It's about a page of
- 27:02Speaker 11: dialogue spread out between a bunch of music videos. It's just,
- 27:05Speaker 11: it's so ridiculous.
- 27:07Speaker 4: But it has some will and he's... Gorgeous.
- 27:10Speaker 6: He's a stud boy.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 27:11Speaker 12: And it had John Stamos in it. Come on now.
- 27:13Speaker 11: And I like the fact that they're doing a Britney episode.
- 27:18Speaker 11: They pull out every bad song that she's had in
- 27:20Speaker 11: the last half of her career. They only played, what,
- 27:23Speaker 11: one from her first couple of albums that people actually liked?
- 27:26Speaker 11: It's like they're playing fucking Toxic and shit. I'm like, wow,
- 27:30Speaker 11: wasn't she over at that point? I mean, I know
- 27:32Speaker 11: they still played that song, but... wasn't she really unpopular
- 27:36Speaker 11: by the time all of the... I mean, they did
- 27:38Speaker 11: the song with her and Madonna.
- 27:39Speaker 6: I was like, nobody fucking liked that song.
- 27:41Speaker 4: But yeah, now I want to get season one and
- 27:43Speaker 4: watch it when Jay's busy doing.
- 27:45Speaker 12: Something else far, far away.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Yep.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Yes.
- 27:47Speaker 6: In the garage.
- 27:48Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 27:48Speaker 12: Doing man stuff.
- 27:49Speaker 6: Doing man stuff.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:50Speaker 8: A lot of men... Do not like that. Manly men
- 27:53Speaker 8: do not like that show.
- 27:54Speaker 12: A lot of singing, I guess.
- 27:55Speaker 6: It's not that I hate it. I don't like it.
- 27:59Speaker 10: I've got other things I can be doing besides watching
- 28:01Speaker 10: people sing and dance. Unless it's Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.
- 28:04Speaker 6: Well, that's different.
- 28:05Speaker 8: And there's monkeys involved.
- 28:07Speaker 6: Monkeys. Yeah, monkeys. I mean, if they put monkeys in Glee,
- 28:10Speaker 6: I might have to watch it.
- 28:11Speaker 12: That's what they are. Monkeys singing and dancing.
- 28:14Speaker 11: They do keep having all these theme episodes. Maybe it'll
- 28:16Speaker 11: just be a monkey episode.
- 28:17Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know.
- 28:19Speaker 8: I do like the... I do like... The episode that
- 28:22Speaker 8: had the girl from Pushing Daisies, the olive from Pushing Daisies.
- 28:26Speaker 8: She was like a drunk. It was in season one.
- 28:28Speaker 8: That was cute.
- 28:29Speaker 4: I don't know if Roger has a problem with the wheelchair.
- 28:32Speaker 9: It's retarded. Who thinks that that's cool?
- 28:35Speaker 6: It is terrible.
- 28:36Speaker 12: He's on the football team now.
- 28:38Speaker 9: Oh, you're lying.
- 28:39Speaker 6: I forgot about that part.
- 28:40Speaker 9: Please, please. Is he the kicker?
- 28:43Speaker 12: They could use him as a battering ram.
- 28:44Speaker 6: It's a heartwarming tale.
- 28:47Speaker 11: He's the first kid in a wheelchair to be in
- 28:49Speaker 11: Pop Warner football, which I'm pretty sure he's too old.
- 28:51Speaker 4: For Pop Warner.
- 28:52Speaker 9: I'm so glad I'm not watching the show even more now.
- 28:54Speaker 6: I thought of.
- 28:55Speaker 12: That when I saw like, ooh, Roger would not like
- 28:57Speaker 12: this at all.
- 28:58Speaker 14: Who likes that? Who's like, man, they're touching on important points.
- 29:02Speaker 14: This is ridiculous.
- 29:04Speaker 4: God.
- 29:05Speaker 15: God.
- 29:08Speaker 6: We didn't know that rant was coming.
- 29:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 29:10Speaker 6: Moving on.
- 29:12Speaker 9: All right.
- 29:13Speaker 6: That's all we did.
- 29:14Speaker 12: We didn't watch anything else.
- 29:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 13: Nothing.
- 29:16Speaker 4: I bought an original Search for Spock poster. That was
- 29:18Speaker 4: pretty exciting.
- 29:19Speaker 6: Oh, wait.
- 29:20Speaker 11: You're forgetting your most important find of the week this morning.
- 29:25Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Hell, yeah.
- 29:27Speaker 12: We bought a... They bought all the monster cereals this morning.
- 29:29Speaker 4: They are apparently only available at Target, so if you
- 29:31Speaker 4: need you some Count Chocula, Frankenberry, Booberry, they're only available
- 29:35Speaker 4: at Target.
- 29:35Speaker 8: Yeah, I know, because I looked for them at Kroger,
- 29:38Speaker 8: and I was like.
- 29:38Speaker 12: Me too. Last night, we were all over the damn
- 29:40Speaker 12: place looking for stuff. We were at Meyer, Kroger, Walmart.
- 29:44Speaker 12: Only Target's carrying them this year.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Thank you, Jeremiah, if you're out there. Because his geekery
- 29:51Speaker 4: and his connection to Boo-Berry.
- 29:53Speaker 13: I know.
- 29:53Speaker 8: This is why I can be friends with Jeremiah. I'm like, oh,
- 29:55Speaker 8: you have a Boo-Berry tattoo.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Did you know where I can get my monster cereal? Nice.
- 29:59Speaker 8: I was really excited. I even had to post my
- 30:01Speaker 8: picture on Facebook of Matthew Gray Googler with his monster cereal.
- 30:05Speaker 12: But yes, if you go to Target, they're not in
- 30:08Speaker 12: with the Halloween stuff. Or the cereal.
- 30:10Speaker 4: They're at an end cap near the front, near the register.
- 30:12Speaker 4: I saw the Fruit Roll-Ups, but I didn't get them.
- 30:16Speaker 12: They don't taste anything like the cereal.
- 30:17Speaker 4: It tastes just like regular fucking Fruit Roll-Ups.
- 30:19Speaker 12: I love you said Fruit Roll-Ups, but I'm like.
- 30:20Speaker 9: Wait, so it's like a blueberry Fruit Roll-Up?
- 30:22Speaker 6: Yeah. What's the point of that?
- 30:23Speaker 9: No, they don't jump foods. They're cereal.
- 30:27Speaker 12: I was pretty upset last night. I couldn't get the
- 30:28Speaker 12: tongue tattoo to work properly.
- 30:30Speaker 6: I was trying the.
- 30:32Speaker 14: Frustration put on your body and somebody else licks it
- 30:35Speaker 14: i think that's the only way it works if you
- 30:37Speaker 14: do this is for kids though.
- 30:39Speaker 11: Well kids are developing way earlier these days grade school
- 30:43Speaker 11: is different than when i was there much different.
- 30:46Speaker 4: So yeah target yeah target how about a safaris record
- 30:50Speaker 4: That was about all I did.
- 30:53Speaker 6: Nobody knows. Do you want to sing some of it?
- 30:57Speaker 10: No, I can't because we couldn't hear it on the
- 30:59Speaker 10: record player because the record player is apparently.
- 31:00Speaker 4: We don't have a functional record player.
- 31:04Speaker 8: I don't even remember.
- 31:05Speaker 12: We've got two and they haven't worked.
- 31:07Speaker 10: I've got to go get my dad to fix the
- 31:10Speaker 10: one that's broken since he knows about all the record
- 31:12Speaker 10: players and stuff.
- 31:13Speaker 12: He needs to fix all our shit. We have two TVs,
- 31:15Speaker 12: two record players, and a radio.
- 31:17Speaker 10: I need to get him to teach me how to
- 31:18Speaker 10: fix vacuum tube type radios and TVs.
- 31:22Speaker 9: That'd be tight.
- 31:23Speaker 4: But anyways, I had Count Chocula for breakfast, and then
- 31:25Speaker 4: I followed up with a bowl of Frankenberries.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I got a.
- 31:28Speaker 9: You should put them on one.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Shh.
- 31:32Speaker 9: What a point all in one.
- 31:33Speaker 6: Isn't that just become fruit brood at that point?
- 31:35Speaker 4: And why did you want to have a Frankenberry or
- 31:38Speaker 4: a Blueberry?
- 31:39Speaker 6: Blueberry.
- 31:39Speaker 10: Because every year when you have Blueberry, you get blue poop.
- 31:43Speaker 6: You get blue poop.
- 31:46Speaker 8: I've never had blue poop from eating Blueberry.
- 31:48Speaker 12: Apparently you didn't eat enough.
- 31:49Speaker 6: You gotta eat a lot of it. You gotta eat
- 31:51Speaker 6: a whole box.
- 31:51Speaker 9: You gotta basically put milk in the box. You need
- 31:54Speaker 9: to eat.
- 31:55Speaker 6: The whole box.
- 31:57Speaker 9: Which is easy to do. Much easier than it should be.
- 32:00Speaker 8: I know. Oh, Frankenberry's my favorite, though.
- 32:02Speaker 12: I think Count Chocula's my favorite.
- 32:03Speaker 9: Count Chocula is pretty good.
- 32:05Speaker 6: It's quite tasty.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 8: I'm going to go to Target right after I leave here.
- 32:09Speaker 6: I had to get up early.
- 32:11Speaker 4: I had to get up early this morning just to
- 32:13Speaker 4: go to Target. Then I was freaking out because it
- 32:14Speaker 4: was not in the Halloween section. I, like, walked down
- 32:16Speaker 4: the same aisle, like, four times.
- 32:17Speaker 12: Like, where the fuck is it? I was freaking out.
- 32:20Speaker 6: I need my fix, I need my fix.
- 32:21Speaker 4: I'm like, that's it, we're going to the one in Clarksville.
- 32:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I was trying to figure out what was going
- 32:24Speaker 6: on with you.
- 32:26Speaker 12: With the happy skipping dancing, and as I saw them,
- 32:27Speaker 12: they finally saw it.
- 32:28Speaker 6: No, you were going nuts pacing up and down the
- 32:30Speaker 6: aisle while I was talking. She was jonesing for blueberry.
- 32:32Speaker 6: Where is it, where is it, where is it, where
- 32:34Speaker 6: is it?
- 32:35Speaker 4: Then we were walking towards the checkout to go to
- 32:36Speaker 4: a different Target, and they're like, oh my God, there
- 32:38Speaker 4: it is.
- 32:39Speaker 12: So I was like running and flailing.
- 32:40Speaker 9: Pushing children down the road.
- 32:42Speaker 12: Oh, where are you? And they've changed the box art.
- 32:46Speaker 12: They've changed all the characters.
- 32:47Speaker 6: They all look different.
- 32:48Speaker 9: That's weak.
- 32:49Speaker 11: It's like they always do. They revamp them and make
- 32:52Speaker 11: what they think look cool.
- 32:53Speaker 9: I've got no association to my childhood now. I'm not
- 32:55Speaker 9: going to like it anymore.
- 32:56Speaker 6: It tastes the same. It tastes the same.
- 32:59Speaker 8: It's unrelated, but speaking of that, they're changing Colonel Sanders
- 33:02Speaker 8: back into Colonel Sanders. Huh?
- 33:04Speaker 11: It's been a long time.
- 33:05Speaker 6: What are you talking about?
- 33:06Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 33:08Speaker 8: You know, they changed Colonel Sanders' image, the new KFCs.
- 33:12Speaker 8: They've decided, like marketing in the last year or so,
- 33:15Speaker 8: I don't know when they're going to start, but they're
- 33:16Speaker 8: going to put old... like Colonel Sanders' image back on
- 33:19Speaker 8: KFC stuff.
- 33:20Speaker 12: What's on there now?
- 33:22Speaker 8: This heterosexual version of.
- 33:25Speaker 12: It's been years since I've even gone to KFC.
- 33:28Speaker 6: You talk about the.
- 33:29Speaker 9: The image of his face.
- 33:30Speaker 6: Just his image. Just the kind of cartoon outline drawing.
- 33:34Speaker 8: They've changed it so much. He doesn't have his suit
- 33:36Speaker 8: and he doesn't look the same. They've changed the way
- 33:38Speaker 8: he looks.
- 33:39Speaker 6: Well, I always liked the little tie, the little bow tie.
- 33:42Speaker 10: Because I'd always take a marker and you could draw
- 33:44Speaker 10: little hands on the bow tie and feet and it
- 33:45Speaker 10: made it look like he had a little body.
- 33:47Speaker 9: That's pretty awesome.
- 33:48Speaker 6: That's pretty funny. this is like a fun fact for
- 33:53Speaker 6: you kids at home.
- 33:54Speaker 10: Yeah because this bow i mean all i had was
- 33:56Speaker 10: this big head with a bow tie.
- 33:58Speaker 14: You know and so you could just oh we know
- 34:00Speaker 14: he's got a body now it's a sick body i'm
- 34:07Speaker 14: gonna probably not worry about his image and i don't
- 34:09Speaker 14: know drop like the what's it called a double deuce
- 34:12Speaker 14: or double down or whatever Get rid of that crap
- 34:15Speaker 14: and get back to the deliciousness that it used to be.
- 34:19Speaker 8: Hey, Kentucky, this is why you're so fat. I can't
- 34:22Speaker 8: stand their chicken.
- 34:23Speaker 12: It's always wet.
- 34:25Speaker 6: That's an extra benefit.
- 34:26Speaker 9: It's just wet.
- 34:28Speaker 11: And you don't have to order a drink. It's saving
- 34:30Speaker 11: you money. Just wring out your chicken sandwich.
- 34:32Speaker 6: On a side note, my boss almost killed a guy
- 34:35Speaker 6: at KFC last week.
- 34:40Speaker 9: Did he come across a counter?
- 34:41Speaker 6: Not at all.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Really close.
- 34:43Speaker 10: He went to the drive-thru, and him and his kid,
- 34:45Speaker 10: I think, were in the truck or something, and he
- 34:47Speaker 10: goes to the drive-thru, and he was like, do you
- 34:49Speaker 10: guys have anything like a McNugget meal or like a
- 34:52Speaker 10: Happy Meal for a kid?
- 34:53Speaker 6: Ooh. And the guy on the thing said, no, sir,
- 34:56Speaker 6: this isn't fucking McDonald's.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 34:58Speaker 6: We don't have that shit.
- 34:59Speaker 8: He said fucking?
- 35:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:00Speaker 6: Wow.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 35:01Speaker 6: And he went ballistic. He said, you little goddamn piece
- 35:04Speaker 6: of shit, you motherfucker.
- 35:05Speaker 10: He fucking pulled up to the window, jumped out of
- 35:08Speaker 10: his truck, grabbed the billy club that he's got in
- 35:10Speaker 10: his truck, and was beating.
- 35:12Speaker 6: On the window. He was like, come outside.
- 35:14Speaker 12: I'm going to kick your ass.
- 35:15Speaker 13: Oh, my God.
- 35:16Speaker 6: He's going nuts.
- 35:17Speaker 9: I want you to come out through this window. Not
- 35:19Speaker 9: through the door. Through this window.
- 35:21Speaker 6: And he was like, oh, crap.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Yeah, really?
- 35:22Speaker 12: Because I looked at him.
- 35:23Speaker 6: He said, I saw my reflection in the drive-thru mirror
- 35:25Speaker 6: in the window, and I was like, oh, my God,
- 35:28Speaker 6: I look like I'm crazy. I got in his truck
- 35:30Speaker 6: and drove off.
- 35:31Speaker 9: What have I become?
- 35:32Speaker 8: Well, see, now nothing's going to happen except all the
- 35:35Speaker 8: employees get to laugh about it. If he would have
- 35:36Speaker 8: just called, that guy would have been fired, and that's hilarious.
- 35:40Speaker 5: I know, but.
- 35:41Speaker 9: So was he mad because he was.
- 35:42Speaker 6: No, he was mad because he's on steroids. That'll do it.
- 35:46Speaker 6: He's like, I don't know why I've been snapping lately.
- 35:48Speaker 6: I was like, I told him, damn steroid you're taking.
- 35:50Speaker 14: Yeah, it's called roid rage. There's a reason why they
- 35:52Speaker 14: say roid rage because it's true.
- 35:55Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 35:56Speaker 14: I don't know, maybe if he's like, the guy was
- 35:58Speaker 14: cussing in front of his child, but then he started.
- 36:00Speaker 9: To break the guy. No, he went nuts because the.
- 36:02Speaker 10: Guy didn't Because the guy wasn't like, well, you know,
- 36:06Speaker 10: we've got a kid's meal that's blah, blah, blah, you know.
- 36:09Speaker 14: I think they're trained to go nuts or to cuss
- 36:11Speaker 14: at people when they say other chains of fast food
- 36:14Speaker 14: at their fast food joint. Don't say McNuffin here.
- 36:17Speaker 10: Yeah, well, I mean, I've said, I've heard people before, like,
- 36:19Speaker 10: go to Wendy's and go, I'll take some McNuggets or.
- 36:22Speaker 6: Something like that, you know, when they're talking about... Yeah.
- 36:24Speaker 6: Like small chicken nuggets.
- 36:26Speaker 9: Chickenly.
- 36:26Speaker 6: But I mean, it's one of those things that's been
- 36:29Speaker 6: so ingrained for people to say McNugget. But just don't
- 36:31Speaker 6: do it.
- 36:31Speaker 12: There's no reason to fucking flip out like that.
- 36:33Speaker 4: It's not like he's personally attacking your chicken or anything.
- 36:36Speaker 8: And really, you work at KFC, how much job loyalty
- 36:39Speaker 8: do you have?
- 36:40Speaker 11: Yeah, right?
- 36:41Speaker 8: You probably hate your job and probably like piss in
- 36:43Speaker 8: the fryer all the time.
- 36:44Speaker 14: Maybe the other guy was suffering from roid rage too
- 36:46Speaker 14: and it just collided that day.
- 36:48Speaker 6: Roid rage on roid rage.
- 36:49Speaker 12: The chickens have leaked into him.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 9: Yes.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Battle of the Friday.
- 36:53Speaker 9: Through the skin. That's how it gets in. Anyways, that
- 36:55Speaker 9: was funny.
- 36:56Speaker 6: All right, that's our geek week.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Okay. Wow.
- 36:58Speaker 8: Well, I actually watched quite a bit or started, you
- 37:01Speaker 8: know how I am. I start to watch stuff and
- 37:03Speaker 8: then I fall asleep. But I watched, I finally watched Dr.
- 37:06Speaker 8: Horrible's sing-along blog.
- 37:07Speaker 5: I love it.
- 37:08Speaker 8: That was amazing and I cried.
- 37:09Speaker 11: You cried?
- 37:10Speaker 8: I think.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Wow.
- 37:11Speaker 11: It is.
- 37:12Speaker 6: It's a sad moment.
- 37:13Speaker 8: Yeah, it's really sad.
- 37:14Speaker 6: It is really sad.
- 37:15Speaker 4: I did ruin it for that one guy at Booking
- 37:17Speaker 4: Music Exchange. I'm like, oh yeah, she dies. Oh, hey.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Hopefully everybody out there has watched it already. I don't
- 37:22Speaker 4: know what you guys are doing.
- 37:24Speaker 11: Once again, even if something as silly as that project,
- 37:27Speaker 11: I have to give Joss credit. I mean, he does
- 37:29Speaker 11: not pull punches. When he wants to make a story sad,
- 37:32Speaker 11: he fucking does it. Yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 12: I fucking love it.
- 37:34Speaker 8: The songs were amazing, though. I didn't know that they
- 37:36Speaker 8: were awesome. They were just very well written and funny.
- 37:38Speaker 8: I was sad that it wasn't longer. It was only
- 37:39Speaker 8: like 45 minutes or so.
- 37:41Speaker 3: It was like.
- 37:42Speaker 8: It's not short enough to be a short, but not
- 37:44Speaker 8: long enough to be a movie. I don't understand what's
- 37:45Speaker 8: going on.
- 37:46Speaker 6: It was awesome, though.
- 37:47Speaker 12: It wasn't Nathan Fillion, just simply gorgeous.
- 37:50Speaker 8: Which one's Nathan Fillion?
- 37:51Speaker 11: Captain Hammer.
- 37:53Speaker 6: By Hammer.
- 37:54Speaker 12: What are you talking about? And by Hammer, I mean penis.
- 37:58Speaker 8: No, I don't think that guy's attractive at all.
- 37:59Speaker 6: Oh, my God. Because you're a Neil Patrick kind of guy.
- 38:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Neil Patrick Harris is pretty awesome, too. But, man, I
- 38:05Speaker 4: love me some fucking Nathan Fillion. I love Serenity, Firefly,
- 38:08Speaker 4: damn near anything. I can't get into Captain.
- 38:10Speaker 9: White Noise 2.
- 38:11Speaker 4: Hey, I think it was okay.
- 38:14Speaker 6: What's his name on Buffy?
- 38:16Speaker 12: The preacher guy?
- 38:17Speaker 9: Yeah, God, what was his name?
- 38:19Speaker 8: I never realized that's who Nathan Fillion is, but ew.
- 38:22Speaker 8: I just kept thinking, like, ugh, really, this guy? You're
- 38:25Speaker 8: choosing this guy over Neil Patrick Harris?
- 38:27Speaker 6: I think he's hilarious, though.
- 38:29Speaker 9: He's funny.
- 38:29Speaker 6: He has a great sense of humor.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Which is probably what makes him so hot. I mean,
- 38:32Speaker 4: have you watched the Nailing Your Wife video?
- 38:35Speaker 6: It's awesome.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Dude.
- 38:36Speaker 6: That is hilarious.
- 38:37Speaker 8: I'll have to watch that.
- 38:38Speaker 6: You need to watch it. Yeah, it's pretty awesome.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Wow.
- 38:40Speaker 6: Isn't that part of the PG porn series?
- 38:42Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 38:43Speaker 6: Which is pretty classy, let me tell you.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Wow.
- 38:45Speaker 12: It's the best one.
- 38:46Speaker 6: It is the best one, actually.
- 38:47Speaker 10: Between that one and the mechanic one, that one's pretty funny.
- 38:52Speaker 12: That was pretty funny.
- 38:53Speaker 8: Yeah, I watched that, and I thought it was amazing,
- 38:56Speaker 8: and I immediately texted it.
- 38:57Speaker 12: How cute is Felicia Day in there, though?
- 38:59Speaker 8: She was cute.
- 39:00Speaker 12: For a redhead.
- 39:01Speaker 8: I don't think it's natural red hair.
- 39:04Speaker 12: It's okay, though.
- 39:04Speaker 8: See, my only problem with her, she's really cute in
- 39:06Speaker 8: certain ways, but then she's got, like, that weird Simpsons
- 39:09Speaker 8: overhang overbite mouth, like, Nice. But, you know, in some angles,
- 39:14Speaker 8: she's very, very pretty. I watched this movie that had
- 39:19Speaker 8: Bryce Dallas Howard called The Loss of a True Dr.
- 39:22Speaker 8: Ironman it was based on like a Tennessee Williams play
- 39:24Speaker 8: I think and uh it was it was okay it
- 39:27Speaker 8: had um Chris Evans in it he's.
- 39:29Speaker 12: Okay in something he's in everything yeah uh.
- 39:32Speaker 4: But I've seen pictures of him now as Captain America
- 39:34Speaker 4: and I'm still it doesn't even look like him anymore.
- 39:36Speaker 8: Yeah it's weird looking yeah and it was an okay
- 39:38Speaker 8: movie it was kind of slow but she was just
- 39:40Speaker 8: so beautiful in that movie it was like ridiculous.
- 39:44Speaker 11: See once again another redhead so Are you sure it
- 39:47Speaker 11: was her?
- 39:47Speaker 6: To give ourselves credit. She had black hair. She looked fine.
- 39:50Speaker 12: Okay, that's probably what made her look okay. She was
- 39:53Speaker 12: horrible in Twilight. I didn't like her.
- 39:55Speaker 6: Yeah, Twilight's bad. I didn't know she was in Twilight.
- 39:57Speaker 6: Nobody's good in Twilight.
- 39:58Speaker 12: She didn't like the third one.
- 39:59Speaker 6: The third one she did.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Because Rochelle LaFa, whatever, Stacy from Big Wolf on Campus.
- 40:05Speaker 6: For the geeks out there.
- 40:06Speaker 12: Shoot, yeah. I don't know.
- 40:08Speaker 10: I thought you thought Tori from Mythbusters was cute.
- 40:13Speaker 12: Nah, she's all right.
- 40:14Speaker 9: Nah, she can be cute.
- 40:16Speaker 4: She has a different shade of red. It's more into
- 40:18Speaker 4: the shade of red that's what's pissing me off. I
- 40:20Speaker 4: don't like the orange, ginger, whatever. I don't want to
- 40:23Speaker 4: get into it again because whatever.
- 40:25Speaker 6: Yeah, your own opinion.
- 40:27Speaker 12: But yeah, whatever.
- 40:29Speaker 8: Yeah, but she had black hair. It was set in
- 40:32Speaker 8: the 1920s, so she had short flapper hair, and she
- 40:34Speaker 8: wore flapper dresses, and it was cute. And I like
- 40:36Speaker 8: that she's not, like, super thin. At least she wasn't
- 40:38Speaker 8: in this movie. She's like.
- 40:40Speaker 12: Like the meaty girl?
- 40:41Speaker 6: Yeah. Like meaty girl. Yeah.
- 40:44Speaker 8: Meaty girl. But, yeah.
- 40:47Speaker 12: I've never seen it. I don't know if she's meaty
- 40:48Speaker 12: or not.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:50Speaker 8: I don't think she normally.
- 40:51Speaker 9: Is, but.
- 40:52Speaker 6: Not normally, no.
- 40:53Speaker 8: In this movie, she kind of... I mean, not really,
- 40:55Speaker 8: but she wasn't, like, stick figure thin. But I thought...
- 41:01Speaker 8: You know, Roger last week was talking about how she
- 41:03Speaker 8: was horrible playing a blind person.
- 41:05Speaker 9: Oh, God.
- 41:06Speaker 8: I thought her southern accent came off really well. I
- 41:09Speaker 8: thought she pulled it off perfectly. It's a lot easier
- 41:12Speaker 8: to be southern than blind.
- 41:13Speaker 6: I don't know. Not necessarily.
- 41:15Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 41:16Speaker 6: It's easier.
- 41:17Speaker 9: It's not necessarily better.
- 41:19Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 41:20Speaker 11: Pulling off believable accents sometimes is very different than just
- 41:24Speaker 11: saying things.
- 41:24Speaker 9: With an accent.
- 41:25Speaker 8: I don't think Leonardo DiCaprio can do it, and he's
- 41:28Speaker 8: like an A-list actor.
- 41:29Speaker 12: I think his accents are terrible.
- 41:30Speaker 6: He's horrible.
- 41:31Speaker 8: And Johnny Depp, I think, is also terrible at pulling
- 41:33Speaker 8: off accents.
- 41:34Speaker 6: Unless it's a drunk accent.
- 41:36Speaker 8: I don't even think that's very good.
- 41:38Speaker 12: I'm not big on Johnny Depp anymore.
- 41:39Speaker 4: No?
- 41:40Speaker 6: Because he got old.
- 41:41Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm not big on old.
- 41:42Speaker 6: You don't like him?
- 41:43Speaker 8: It's not my problem with the way he looks or
- 41:45Speaker 8: the fact that he's old. My problem is stupid Tim Burton.
- 41:48Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 41:48Speaker 12: Have you seen the way he looks now?
- 41:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:50Speaker 12: Like for that new movie? He has gotten meaty.
- 41:53Speaker 8: That's not good.
- 41:55Speaker 9: He's got an.
- 41:56Speaker 12: Old man face.
- 41:58Speaker 6: Some people like the movie. What is that? El Turista?
- 42:01Speaker 12: Something like that.
- 42:02Speaker 3: El Turisto?
- 42:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:04Speaker 8: I watched other things. Oh, I watched the pilot episode
- 42:06Speaker 8: of Kids in the Hall.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Nice.
- 42:08Speaker 8: Which I love.
- 42:09Speaker 12: I am crushing your head.
- 42:10Speaker 6: I am crushing your head. I didn't see the new miniseries.
- 42:15Speaker 6: Did anybody?
- 42:17Speaker 11: I've heard good things about it. They just came.
- 42:19Speaker 6: Back and got everybody back together.
- 42:22Speaker 9: Really?
- 42:22Speaker 11: But they didn't want to rehash another skit show. They
- 42:26Speaker 11: didn't want to do another movie. So what they did
- 42:29Speaker 11: was a miniseries, but it's its own separate... story almost
- 42:34Speaker 11: but they've worked themselves in and i think even as
- 42:36Speaker 11: multiple characters like they do so it's like they they
- 42:38Speaker 11: found an entire new way to do what they do
- 42:41Speaker 11: and it's like that sounds awesome i just.
- 42:43Speaker 8: Love bruce so much i love everybody on that show
- 42:47Speaker 8: yeah but uh and there's a couple movies i tried
- 42:49Speaker 8: to watch like i tried to watch um who's afraid
- 42:52Speaker 8: of virginia wolf never seen it And it has Elizabeth Taylor. And, like,
- 42:57Speaker 8: there was just too much conflict.
- 42:59Speaker 12: Back when she was hot?
- 43:00Speaker 8: No, when she was older. But there was just too
- 43:05Speaker 8: much conflict in the movie. It stressed me out.
- 43:07Speaker 6: It really did. I think that's the entire purpose of
- 43:09Speaker 6: that movie.
- 43:10Speaker 8: I know. But it, like, stressed me out. Like, they
- 43:14Speaker 8: were trying to make... It was like... I watched it
- 43:16Speaker 8: to the point... I don't know if there's more characters
- 43:18Speaker 8: in the movie or not. But it's her and her husband,
- 43:20Speaker 8: and they invite two young people over for dinner. And
- 43:22Speaker 8: it's just like... Everyone's uncomfortable. It's just uncomfortable. I'm like,
- 43:25Speaker 8: I can't handle this. I can't handle it.
- 43:27Speaker 12: That's why I can't watch The Office.
- 43:28Speaker 6: It makes me uncomfortable.
- 43:32Speaker 8: I watched a bunch of TV, of course. I watched
- 43:36Speaker 8: on Netflix. I watched the first episode of 30 Rock
- 43:38Speaker 8: and I don't care what you say. I love Tracy Morgan.
- 43:42Speaker 9: Tracy Morgan's awesome.
- 43:43Speaker 12: He's so not funny.
- 43:44Speaker 9: I can't stand him.
- 43:45Speaker 14: He's funnier when he's on drugs, I think. If he's
- 43:47Speaker 14: sobered up, I don't know if he's that funny anymore.
- 43:50Speaker 11: Tracy Morgan just does Tracy Morgan. There's no other setting
- 43:53Speaker 11: for him. He is Tracy Morgan. And if you find
- 43:56Speaker 11: him funny, then you're okay. But there's no other acting involved.
- 43:59Speaker 12: I don't think he's funny.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Watching him on Scare Tactics, I hate that show in general.
- 44:03Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 44:04Speaker 12: Except for the one with the little rat man.
- 44:06Speaker 6: That is funny.
- 44:08Speaker 12: But I usually hate that show.
- 44:09Speaker 4: I hate shows like that in general. I hate hidden
- 44:11Speaker 4: camera shows.
- 44:12Speaker 6: They've gotten horrible.
- 44:13Speaker 8: Because you're afraid that that's going to happen to you
- 44:16Speaker 8: one day? Totally, I am.
- 44:18Speaker 11: When you see that little rat man, you're in trouble.
- 44:19Speaker 11: You're going to flip it.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Little man, are you okay?
- 44:24Speaker 6: You're going to flip out.
- 44:25Speaker 9: That was terrible.
- 44:26Speaker 6: That was awesome.
- 44:27Speaker 10: Little man.
- 44:30Speaker 6: That show was awesome.
- 44:31Speaker 14: Put hair all over a midget and mouse ears and
- 44:33Speaker 14: stuff and a diaper and he comes out of the
- 44:36Speaker 14: wall or whatever.
- 44:37Speaker 6: That episode was awesome.
- 44:38Speaker 4: But usually I hate those shows. I hate, I can't
- 44:41Speaker 4: stand it.
- 44:41Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 44:42Speaker 6: They're terrible.
- 44:44Speaker 8: Oh, well, see, I asked people to suggest movies for
- 44:47Speaker 8: me and then everyone's like, do your Netflix thing. Answer
- 44:51Speaker 8: all those movie questions on Netflix. And I did and
- 44:54Speaker 8: it only requested, it requested about 20 pages of movies
- 44:57Speaker 8: I've already seen. Suggested?
- 45:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 8: Suggested.
- 45:02Speaker 12: Did it request movies that you were in?
- 45:04Speaker 8: It suggested 20 pages of movies I've already seen. But
- 45:08Speaker 8: the weird thing is, I don't remember ever answering any
- 45:11Speaker 8: questions about what kind of music I like. And it
- 45:13Speaker 8: was suggesting, like, documentaries of, like... music bands and stuff
- 45:18Speaker 8: that i like.
- 45:19Speaker 11: Didn't greg say he thought it was tied to facebook
- 45:21Speaker 11: it might be like it's like if you logged in
- 45:23Speaker 11: both at some point it went in and found what
- 45:25Speaker 11: music you like on facebook that you liked maybe and
- 45:29Speaker 11: then yeah see i thought that was kind of scary
- 45:31Speaker 11: yeah that's a little too big brothery that.
- 45:33Speaker 8: Maybe but it was like suggesting like uh like x
- 45:36Speaker 8: the unheard music which i already own anyway but yeah
- 45:39Speaker 8: i just thought that was really weird.
- 45:41Speaker 6: But the internet knows way too much.
- 45:43Speaker 8: About us yeah yeah Yeah, I thought that was extremely strange.
- 45:48Speaker 8: What kind of movies were you looking for, in case
- 45:51Speaker 8: anybody has any suggestions?
- 45:53Speaker 12: Like a horror movie or a funny movie?
- 45:55Speaker 8: Funny movies, you know what kind of movies I like.
- 45:57Speaker 8: I like John Waters and Wes Anderson and quirky comedies
- 46:02Speaker 8: and things like that. I do love horror movies, but
- 46:04Speaker 8: I live alone in a very scary house. So I
- 46:09Speaker 8: cannot watch horror movies anymore, which sucks. I mean, I
- 46:12Speaker 8: can watch them during the day with friends or go
- 46:15Speaker 8: to a theater and watch them.
- 46:16Speaker 11: That's why we have to work them in here. This
- 46:18Speaker 11: is your only fix. I know.
- 46:19Speaker 8: I really can't watch horror movies at home. And Jeremiah suggested...
- 46:25Speaker 8: I said that on Facebook and I was like, don't
- 46:27Speaker 8: be funny and suggest any like porn titles. And he
- 46:30Speaker 8: suggested a movie called clean shaven. And I was like, yeah,
- 46:33Speaker 8: no thanks. And apparently that's not a porn movie.
- 46:37Speaker 11: Well, maybe that'll be a game. We'll find legitimate movie
- 46:40Speaker 11: titles that sound like porn.
- 46:41Speaker 9: Yeah. It's about the porn.
- 46:43Speaker 6: They've already done that.
- 46:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:47Speaker 8: But, uh, yeah, people had a lot of good suggestions,
- 46:50Speaker 8: but it was again, movies that I've seen, you know,
- 46:52Speaker 8: people suggesting let the right one in and, And one
- 46:55Speaker 8: that a couple of people told me was Mirror Mask.
- 46:59Speaker 8: And Netflix actually suggested that. And I have no idea
- 47:01Speaker 8: what it's about, but I'll have to look into that.
- 47:03Speaker 9: It's all right. Do you want a Jim Henson's last movie,
- 47:05Speaker 9: I think?
- 47:06Speaker 5: Or no.
- 47:07Speaker 14: Or his production studio, I think, did it. It's computer animation, puppetry,
- 47:11Speaker 14: really cool.
- 47:13Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 47:13Speaker 9: Cat with human face.
- 47:15Speaker 6: Creepy.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:16Speaker 6: Weird.
- 47:17Speaker 8: Didn't he have a hand in Something Wicked This Way Comes?
- 47:19Speaker 9: I think so. I'd like to say.
- 47:21Speaker 8: That was a good movie.
- 47:23Speaker 9: It was a terrifying movie for when you're a child.
- 47:25Speaker 8: It was about a carnival, which I love carnivals.
- 47:27Speaker 12: Yay, carnivals!
- 47:28Speaker 8: I can't wait until every Sunday.
- 47:30Speaker 13: I know, it's this week.
- 47:32Speaker 8: Okay, that was all for my geek week, I think.
- 47:35Speaker 4: All right.
- 47:36Speaker 12: Yay, harvest time coming.
- 47:37Speaker 8: Yay. I'm going to eat so many corn dogs.
- 47:40Speaker 6: We'll have to talk about that next week.
- 47:42Speaker 12: Hopefully they have the bison chili.
- 47:44Speaker 11: You probably will miss out, so you just don't get
- 47:46Speaker 11: to talk about it.
- 47:47Speaker 6: See if I get mistook for a cop again.
- 47:49Speaker 8: Who mistook you for a cop?
- 47:50Speaker 9: I don't remember that.
- 47:51Speaker 6: Fucking bunch of yo boys. Yo, man, that's a cop.
- 47:53Speaker 6: Look out. I'm a cop.
- 47:55Speaker 11: Yeah, really?
- 47:55Speaker 6: I'm wearing a jacket with an iron cross on it,
- 47:57Speaker 6: and I'm a cop?
- 47:59Speaker 13: And moon eyes.
- 47:59Speaker 6: And moon eyes patch. This guy goes, I'm a cop.
- 48:03Speaker 11: It's a new wave of force that they're putting out.
- 48:06Speaker 9: Idiots.
- 48:07Speaker 6: God, how stupid are you? Apparently really stupid. What's a cop, man?
- 48:10Speaker 8: You're wearing blue. You must be a cop.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 6: Watch out. It's all it takes. You're a dude.
- 48:15Speaker 12: You must be a cop.
- 48:17Speaker 6: Gas station attendant, I can understand. No.
- 48:20Speaker 12: You didn't doodle like a gas station.
- 48:22Speaker 6: I busted that. Yeah, but only like from the 50s.
- 48:24Speaker 6: Will you pump my gas, please? And I was like,
- 48:27Speaker 6: I don't work here. She's like, oh.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Or whenever you come in to wake me up when
- 48:31Speaker 4: you leave for work, I'm always like, why has a
- 48:33Speaker 4: gas attendant come in to give me a kiss goodnight?
- 48:35Speaker 4: Do you just have shirts that have his name on them?
- 48:39Speaker 6: I don't have any work uniforms anymore. Goodnight, and can
- 48:42Speaker 6: you check my oil?
- 48:43Speaker 8: No.
- 48:45Speaker 12: No check of the oil.
- 48:46Speaker 9: Pop the hood.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Oh, wow. Wow.
- 48:56Speaker 6: So is that the end of your geek week?
- 48:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:59Speaker 4: As far as seniors and Rogers, nobody has anything they've forgotten.
- 49:02Speaker 8: I probably have.
- 49:03Speaker 12: You'll wait until the middle of Buzz.
- 49:05Speaker 8: You'll be like, oh, yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 6: In the middle of the movie.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Yep.
- 49:09Speaker 6: It'll happen. It always does.
- 49:11Speaker 8: I tried. Look, I forgot everything that I watched, so
- 49:14Speaker 8: I looked it up and talked about it, but, you know,
- 49:18Speaker 8: I'll probably... remember something else that I watched.
- 49:21Speaker 11: But we're trying to redirect your crazy tangents. So I've
- 49:25Speaker 11: decided last week we came up with a good idea.
- 49:27Speaker 8: You're going to duct tape my mouth shut.
- 49:29Speaker 6: That is a good idea.
- 49:30Speaker 11: But no, I was like, last week we came up
- 49:33Speaker 11: with a good idea. I'm actually going to give you
- 49:35Speaker 11: a Marlena moment. You can have your own segment.
- 49:38Speaker 8: That's too much pressure.
- 49:39Speaker 6: Of crazy.
- 49:40Speaker 11: Well, I'm saying when you think of one that you
- 49:41Speaker 11: want to just go crazy with, hang on to it
- 49:44Speaker 11: for a little while, and then we'll play your little theme.
- 49:46Speaker 6: You can decide what your theme is if you want.
- 49:48Speaker 8: This is going to guarantee that I never have a
- 49:51Speaker 8: Marlena moment.
- 49:51Speaker 6: There you go. And either way, we've solved our problem.
- 49:56Speaker 6: What you should have done is just not told her.
- 49:58Speaker 13: I know.
- 49:58Speaker 6: And then went ahead and took it out and edited it.
- 50:00Speaker 8: I would have never known.
- 50:02Speaker 6: Into a more like a moment. But then it throws
- 50:04Speaker 6: off the thing. So we're trying to give you a
- 50:06Speaker 6: place for your craziness. There was no black.
- 50:08Speaker 4: Snake moan, no leg humping this week, no nothing.
- 50:12Speaker 8: No, I didn't go out with any of my friends
- 50:14Speaker 8: this week.
- 50:15Speaker 6: Thank God.
- 50:17Speaker 8: Oh, oh.
- 50:17Speaker 12: Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh.
- 50:20Speaker 6: It's coming, I can feel it.
- 50:22Speaker 8: No, it's not that important.
- 50:25Speaker 11: Save it for later.
- 50:26Speaker 6: Okay.
- 50:28Speaker 12: Come on, you know you want to tell us.
- 50:29Speaker 8: No, I don't really have anything.
- 50:32Speaker 12: Make something up.
- 50:34Speaker 11: I suppose with that, we will take a break and
- 50:36Speaker 11: be back with What's in the Box.
- 50:37Speaker 5: As I lie awake, resting from the.
- 50:43Speaker 15: Day, I can hear the clock passing time away.
- 50:53Speaker 6: Oh, I couldn't.

- 51:54Speaker 3: this complete breakfast.
- 51:56Speaker 9: Who do you think?
- 51:58Speaker 2: Franken-berry's got strawberry-flavored marshmallows.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Cult-truck-ula's got chocolate marshmallows.
- 52:03Speaker 3: But I've got blueberry-flavored marshmallows.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Franken-berry.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Cult-truck-ula.
- 52:07Speaker 7: And Boo-berry.
- 52:08Speaker 15: Sucky.

- 52:56Speaker 3: deserve to listen to it anyway.

- 53:01Speaker 6: Easy as 1, 2, 3.

- 53:34Speaker 6: With your legs so we are back with what's the
- 53:49Speaker 6: buzz tell me what's happening so it shouldn't really be
- 53:54Speaker 6: any surprised anyone.
- 53:55Speaker 2: That uh.
- 54:04Speaker 11: This week they bothered to announce it anyway, though. This
- 54:07Speaker 11: week they said that Christopher Nolan is going to direct
- 54:09Speaker 11: the next Batman movie.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 54:12Speaker 11: It was sort of in question. I mean, you can
- 54:14Speaker 11: see why he has so much pressure built up.
- 54:17Speaker 6: He would almost just leave it and be like, you
- 54:19Speaker 6: know what? Fuck it. No more Batman.
- 54:22Speaker 11: Once you've got to the point where you get that
- 54:24Speaker 11: huge and that successful and to a point where.
- 54:27Speaker 6: there's no.
- 54:28Speaker 11: Way he can like surpass that you know I would
- 54:32Speaker 11: be impressed if he does but I mean there's gotta
- 54:34Speaker 11: be so much pressure on him at this point to
- 54:36Speaker 11: yeah follow up what was a game changing movie for
- 54:40Speaker 11: like the entire industry really so yeah it's got a
- 54:43Speaker 11: lot for him to deal with so I'm kinda surprised
- 54:46Speaker 11: that he's okay with that and he's willing to saddle
- 54:49Speaker 11: down any words on the new villain the yeah kinda
- 54:53Speaker 11: nothing official but uh yeah I heard somewhere They're still
- 54:57Speaker 11: throwing out the Riddler.
- 54:58Speaker 6: Okay. As long as it's not Jim Carrey. The Penguin?
- 55:02Speaker 9: Tell me about it.
- 55:03Speaker 11: So there is a script at this point written by
- 55:06Speaker 11: his brother, Jonathan, which, again, is impressive because he's also
- 55:09Speaker 11: an amazing writer.
- 55:10Speaker 6: So it's good that they've still got everybody involved.
- 55:12Speaker 11: That it is talented and brought us the stuff that
- 55:16Speaker 11: made the most awesome movie.
- 55:18Speaker 8: I want the villain to be the Penguin, and I
- 55:20Speaker 8: want it to be played by Danny DeVito.
- 55:22Speaker 6: I think we've seen that movie.
- 55:23Speaker 7: I know.
- 55:24Speaker 8: But I want it to happen again.
- 55:26Speaker 11: But I'll give you, like, that I think was, like,
- 55:28Speaker 11: awesome casting.
- 55:29Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 55:30Speaker 11: That's the movie that, like, that's the defining movie in
- 55:32Speaker 11: that old series. It's, like, everybody likes the first movie.
- 55:35Speaker 11: You know, if you ask somebody which of the Batmans
- 55:37Speaker 11: you like and they like Batman Returns, you know, because
- 55:40Speaker 11: that's the one that sort of separated everybody. It's, like,
- 55:43Speaker 11: the hardcore geeks are still, like, you know what? There's
- 55:45Speaker 11: a lot of cool stuff in this. But regular people went.
- 55:47Speaker 6: this movie's weird. I don't like this.
- 55:49Speaker 12: Which one had the bat nipples? Because I didn't like.
- 55:51Speaker 11: That was the third one. See, and by that one,
- 55:53Speaker 11: nobody cared anymore. They had totally jumped the shark by
- 55:57Speaker 11: bat nipples.
- 55:57Speaker 6: Everybody was done with them.
- 55:59Speaker 8: I saw whichever... The third or the fourth one.
- 56:01Speaker 12: Which one had Val Kilmer?
- 56:02Speaker 6: Val Kilmer is the third one.
- 56:03Speaker 9: The third one.
- 56:04Speaker 11: They changed the outfits in the third one, and by
- 56:06Speaker 11: the fourth one, they brought in.
- 56:07Speaker 13: Clooney.
- 56:08Speaker 2: Girl.
- 56:08Speaker 6: Packages.
- 56:09Speaker 8: The one with Alicia Silverstone and George Clooney, that was
- 56:12Speaker 8: at my gym last week, and it was so fucking terrible.
- 56:15Speaker 6: It's terrible.
- 56:16Speaker 4: Like, I.
- 56:16Speaker 8: I had to put headphones in.
- 56:17Speaker 4: They were shown on Cartoon Network the other night.
- 56:20Speaker 8: It was just so, like, the jokes were terrible.
- 56:22Speaker 6: It's terrible.
- 56:24Speaker 9: Everything, everything.
- 56:25Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, it so turned a corner. I mean,
- 56:28Speaker 11: as cheesy as the first two, I mean, they certainly
- 56:31Speaker 11: have their moments, but they're still, like, impressive and fun
- 56:34Speaker 11: to watch and visually amazing, and then those Schumacher ones
- 56:37Speaker 11: were just such a mess, and that's not news to.
- 56:39Speaker 6: Anybody, but, I mean, it is amazing.
- 56:42Speaker 11: How far off the mark they ended up from like
- 56:45Speaker 11: that first movie.
- 56:46Speaker 8: It's yeah they play the most random movies in my
- 56:49Speaker 8: gym they were playing a jet lee movie on monday
- 56:52Speaker 8: and then yesterday they were playing where the wild things
- 56:55Speaker 8: are and at one point they played this weird movie
- 56:58Speaker 8: that had alec baldwin and i don't know what the
- 57:01Speaker 8: movie was but there was like this character in it
- 57:03Speaker 8: called the shadow what movie is that.
- 57:04Speaker 6: The shadow No.
- 57:06Speaker 9: Okay. I don't know.
- 57:08Speaker 8: I've never seen it.
- 57:10Speaker 6: It's got its issues, too.
- 57:11Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 57:11Speaker 6: But it's watchable.
- 57:13Speaker 4: So the new one's not supposed to be the Riddler
- 57:15Speaker 4: of the game when.
- 57:15Speaker 6: You cast it? They're throwing that out there.
- 57:17Speaker 4: I want it to be Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
- 57:20Speaker 6: Don't you want Suck and Blow to be the Riddler?
- 57:22Speaker 8: I want Joseph Gordon-Levitt to be in every movie.
- 57:25Speaker 6: I know he's... Nolan does like him.
- 57:27Speaker 11: I mean, he was in the last movie, so it
- 57:28Speaker 11: wouldn't surprise me. I have heard people throwing that around. Again,
- 57:33Speaker 11: the only problem is he looks like he's 12.
- 57:34Speaker 6: I don't care. So what they're saying is nothing official yet.
- 57:39Speaker 11: Would he wear the spandex?
- 57:40Speaker 12: Because I would totally be in it.
- 57:41Speaker 6: I bet you would.
- 57:42Speaker 3: That.
- 57:44Speaker 11: Just in reports, they're talking to Edward Norton, and he
- 57:47Speaker 11: has said that he would like to work with Christopher Nolan.
- 57:51Speaker 6: That is the Riddler.
- 57:53Speaker 11: Again, they asked him if he would want to play
- 57:56Speaker 11: a villain, or specifically the Riddler, and he actually said
- 57:59Speaker 11: he was up for either of those.
- 58:01Speaker 6: He would come on board. Matthew McConaughey.
- 58:03Speaker 9: Oh, God.
- 58:05Speaker 6: All right, all right. I got a riddle for you.
- 58:07Speaker 12: Are you guys going to be shirtless the entire movie?
- 58:10Speaker 12: Playing Hong Kong?
- 58:11Speaker 6: Oh, my God. The riddle is, how does he still
- 58:14Speaker 6: have a career?
- 58:14Speaker 3: Yeah, right?
- 58:15Speaker 12: It's his abs. That's where the career lies.
- 58:17Speaker 8: He's a romantic comedy go-to guy.
- 58:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I know. That doesn't save him for me.
- 58:22Speaker 2: No.
- 58:23Speaker 12: I used to love me some Matthew McConaughey.
- 58:28Speaker 4: I love the wedding planner. I don't care what you
- 58:30Speaker 4: all say.
- 58:30Speaker 11: That's more tolerable than a lot of romantic comedies that
- 58:34Speaker 11: have come since then.
- 58:35Speaker 6: It still was.
- 58:37Speaker 8: anyway failure to.
- 58:38Speaker 13: Launch yeah those I don't watch a guy in ten.
- 58:40Speaker 11: Days those are the ones I can't even watch I'm
- 58:42Speaker 11: just like.
- 58:44Speaker 8: He loves to do movies with Goldie Hawn's.
- 58:45Speaker 4: Daughter yeah kind of why she's horrible I.
- 58:48Speaker 8: Don't know she's cute no she's not I think she's
- 58:50Speaker 8: cute but I mean don't you hate her who is
- 58:53Speaker 8: it Kate Hudson Kate Hudson fuck that bitch die die
- 58:57Speaker 8: die I think she's cute I like Goldie Hawn's son
- 59:01Speaker 8: Oliver Hudson he's adorable too I like Kurt Russell.
- 59:06Speaker 9: I like Kurt Russell too.
- 59:08Speaker 8: Are they still together?
- 59:09Speaker 10: Five years.
- 59:10Speaker 3: Know.
- 59:10Speaker 6: I like Kurt Russell.
- 59:11Speaker 8: They won't be anymore.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Watch.
- 59:12Speaker 6: Yeah, way to go.
- 59:13Speaker 7: We mentioned it.
- 59:13Speaker 6: All you have to do is say it.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Kills it.
- 59:15Speaker 8: Who is it that happened to? Like Susan Sarandon and
- 59:19Speaker 8: what's his face?
- 59:20Speaker 2: Tim Robbins?
- 59:21Speaker 8: We mentioned it, and then it was like.
- 59:23Speaker 12: We've been together forever.
- 59:24Speaker 8: And I saw it on the news the next day.
- 59:26Speaker 8: I'm like, God damn it.
- 59:27Speaker 6: Way to blow it for her.
- 59:28Speaker 1: We killed her.
- 59:29Speaker 9: We killed her love.
- 59:31Speaker 4: With a new segment, Celebrity Loves We've Killed.
- 59:35Speaker 8: Nice.
- 59:36Speaker 6: Yep. We can do that.
- 59:38Speaker 12: All right. Was there more buzz? Are we still on
- 59:40Speaker 12: that one?
- 59:41Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 59:41Speaker 11: I just think it's amazing to me how... I mean,
- 59:45Speaker 11: there's not really a whole lot more news there. It's
- 59:47Speaker 11: just the fact that... how fast you can become a
- 59:50Speaker 11: huge power player in Hollywood. Because seriously, Christopher Nolan has
- 59:55Speaker 11: made a handful of movies. You go from nothing to
- 59:57Speaker 11: the top. Yeah, by the time they gave him Batman Begins,
- 1:00:00Speaker 11: people were like, who? Nobody knew who that was when
- 1:00:03Speaker 11: he got that one. And then in this span of time,
- 1:00:05Speaker 11: like now... he is it like he is one of
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: the most powerful people in Hollywood to the fact that
- 1:00:11Speaker 11: they're giving him other franchises they're like okay you don't
- 1:00:14Speaker 11: have to direct it just make sure Superman doesn't suck
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: okay you're gonna you're gonna be the godfather of all
- 1:00:20Speaker 11: our movie projects now and I'm like Six, eight years ago,
- 1:00:23Speaker 11: nobody knew who that guy was, and now they're just
- 1:00:25Speaker 11: handing him projects to be like.
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: Can he erase the suck of the last Superman movie?
- 1:00:29Speaker 11: Possibly, if you go back and re-edit it and take
- 1:00:32Speaker 11: that dude out.
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna pretend that that one doesn't exist. I
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: think everybody went along with that.
- 1:00:37Speaker 9: God, I was telling you.
- 1:00:37Speaker 12: I don't like that guy's face.
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: No, I don't like him.
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: Brandon Ralph?
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: I'm not a fan of him. Yeah, I'm just not
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: sold on him, but... I don't know.
- 1:00:45Speaker 11: I just think that's kind of amazing how quick it's
- 1:00:48Speaker 11: gone from zero to, you know, being in charge of
- 1:00:50Speaker 11: Hollywood basically for Christopher Nolan.
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: Oh, you make enough money for Hollywood. They definitely do
- 1:00:54Speaker 9: love you.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:55Speaker 9: And love you for that.
- 1:00:56Speaker 11: And give you free reign. I mean, that's the only
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: way some of these kind of movies get made a
- 1:01:00Speaker 11: lot of times is like, okay, you make us a
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: $ 200 million movie and we'll let you make this, you know,
- 1:01:05Speaker 11: $ 40 million movie that has nothing to do with anything
- 1:01:07Speaker 11: we care about.
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: And then you have to make us another $ 200 million movie. Yeah.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: Who knows?
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: I still can't believe you don't like Nathan Fillion.
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: Did you guys already talk about Star Wars getting re-released
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: in 3D? I think we did a while ago.
- 1:01:22Speaker 11: I saw it was... Yeah, they brought it up again today.
- 1:01:25Speaker 11: I think it was just, like, confirmed. But I think
- 1:01:27Speaker 11: when they were talking.
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I saw it. I was like, yeah. Way to go, Lucas.
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: Gotta need more money.
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: So they're doing it?
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: And no one is dumbass. I'll probably go see it, too. See,
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: that's the thing. Not the first one. That's the thing.
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: I would go see, like, the last three. Well, yeah,
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: the last three. But you gotta understand.
- 1:01:43Speaker 10: For me, and maybe for a lot of other older
- 1:01:46Speaker 10: Star Wars fans, I never refer to the actual first
- 1:01:50Speaker 10: three as the actual first three.
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't either. They're the last three that really sucked.
- 1:01:56Speaker 11: Yeah, to me, it's always like the first ones is
- 1:01:59Speaker 11: what I refer to when I'm talking about the ones
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: from the 70s and 80s.
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: People are like, episode one? I'm like, fuck episode one. No,
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: I'm talking about Empire Strikes Back. I'm talking about Star Wars,
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: and I'm talking about Return of the Jedi.
- 1:02:09Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: Not talking about the other three that came out.
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: I don't want to see Jar Jar in three.
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: Nobody does. Are they going to release all six of them?
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: See, they are.
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: They're going to put them back in. And the stupid
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: thing is.
- 1:02:20Speaker 11: They're starting, I guess, in chronological order. They're going with
- 1:02:24Speaker 11: episode one first.
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: I'm like, well, you're going to get zero right off
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: the bat. That movie's going to make nothing at the
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: box office.
- 1:02:32Speaker 12: My sister likes that movie. She loved Jar Jar.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: There's $ 10. She can go see it. Your sister's nuts.
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: Is that the old one? She doesn't listen to this show.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: He thinks my sister Jennifer is older than me.
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: She looks like it.
- 1:02:46Speaker 11: What, is she like 50 now?
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: No.
- 1:02:48Speaker 11: How come she keeps having these kids if she's 50?
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: How old is she?
- 1:02:52Speaker 12: She's like three years younger than me.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: She doesn't look it.
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: She look older or younger?
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Older.
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: Wow. See, it's not just me. Maybe those kids aged her.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: That's what I'm telling you, kids make you old. Having
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: kids make you old. I don't know what happened. I
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: guess mine didn't do that to me.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:03:11Speaker 9: Damn, she said you're old. Yeah, whatever.
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: Mentally, you're still a child.
- 1:03:16Speaker 11: That makes it okay.
- 1:03:17Speaker 12: You can't see the gray hair under the hat.
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: Yeah. I gotta dye it again.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: You do.
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: So I look young, damn it. I'm still young.
- 1:03:28Speaker 11: All right, so we return to this trend every couple
- 1:03:31Speaker 11: of weeks. So no surprise that the Alien Invasion movie
- 1:03:34Speaker 11: has become the big thing that they're working on now.
- 1:03:37Speaker 11: So in the next few years, it's going to hit theaters,
- 1:03:39Speaker 11: and all of them are going to be there. So
- 1:03:41Speaker 11: starting with next month's Skyline, as well as Battle... I'd
- 1:03:45Speaker 11: like some chili.
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: But you don't like Skyline.
- 1:03:47Speaker 13: I'm hungry.
- 1:03:47Speaker 12: I don't like Skyline.
- 1:03:48Speaker 11: We're not sponsored by Skyline because you'll say bad things
- 1:03:50Speaker 11: about them.
- 1:03:50Speaker 12: They suck, dude.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: Their chili's all watery and nasty and there's so much spaghetti.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: They're pretty gross.
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: And the restaurant's just dirty.
- 1:03:56Speaker 10: I think that you've got to have a special taste
- 1:03:58Speaker 10: for Skyline. Apparently, none of us here have it.
- 1:04:01Speaker 9: I don't know if I've ever eaten Skyline.
- 1:04:03Speaker 12: You're not missing anything.
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: Their buffalo chicken wraps are good. Ew, I want a
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: buffalo chicken wrap.
- 1:04:08Speaker 12: Skyline the movie looks good, though.
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: Skyline the movie.
- 1:04:12Speaker 12: And the other one that I showed you the trailer.
- 1:04:13Speaker 11: Followed by Battle Los Angeles. And oddly enough, the Battleship movie.
- 1:04:19Speaker 11: Not to mention Cowboys and Aliens. So they're all coming
- 1:04:21Speaker 11: out soon. Now Sam Raimi has decided to throw his
- 1:04:25Speaker 11: hat in the ring. Is he ever going to be
- 1:04:28Speaker 11: in it?
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: Hopefully.
- 1:04:29Speaker 12: And Ted, is Ted Raimi going to be in it?
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: He's in everything.
- 1:04:32Speaker 11: So as producer, they say not director... Who knows? You know,
- 1:04:35Speaker 11: he could change his mind any moment. But he is
- 1:04:37Speaker 11: in talks with Warner Brothers for an alien invasion movie
- 1:04:39Speaker 11: of his own, tentatively titled EDF, which hopefully he'll change that.
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: But just go with what it stands for, Earth Defense Force. Nice.
- 1:04:47Speaker 6: Now that I would go see. EDF is stupid. So, yeah,
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: just make it Earth Defense Force.
- 1:04:53Speaker 11: The script has already been leaked, and the premise starts
- 1:04:55Speaker 11: off with U.S. and Chinese fighter pilots engaged in a
- 1:04:58Speaker 11: dogfight when they are attacked by three alien ships and
- 1:05:01Speaker 11: then go on to destroy various global landmarks, of course,
- 1:05:04Speaker 11: like every one of these movies, and military installations. NASA
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: soon discovers signs of a much larger invasion coming from
- 1:05:11Speaker 11: another galaxy in 10 months. Forcing the governments of the
- 1:05:14Speaker 11: world to band together to fend off the incoming invasion. Nice.
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: See, now that's kind of.
- 1:05:18Speaker 11: I thought for years, like, they really needed to do
- 1:05:20Speaker 11: a movie like that where we're so busy squabbling with
- 1:05:22Speaker 11: ourselves that, like, the only thing that could unify the
- 1:05:25Speaker 11: planet is that we're going to get wiped out by
- 1:05:27Speaker 11: someone from the outside.
- 1:05:29Speaker 10: That's the thing I don't always understand is why do
- 1:05:31Speaker 10: the aliens always have to, like, attack the Statue of
- 1:05:33Speaker 10: Liberty or the Eiffel Tower or.
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: It doesn't make sense, really. Because really, when you think
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: about it, that doesn't mean shit to aliens. And it's
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: not useful. It's not useful. It's not water. It's not electrical.
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: It's not military.
- 1:05:48Speaker 11: I mean, the only thing it would do is be
- 1:05:51Speaker 11: an attack on our morale. But once again, I understand
- 1:05:53Speaker 11: that with terrorists. Like somebody within our system that understands that.
- 1:05:57Speaker 11: Aliens could give a rat's ass about the Statue of Liberty.
- 1:06:00Speaker 11: They're just here to take our planet.
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: Let's go bomb that big pointy thing.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: Well, I think it... Maybe they want to... They kind
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: of compare terrorists and aliens. They kind of make it similar.
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: Oh, you're talking bad about aliens now?
- 1:06:14Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: We're going to get busted for that.
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: We're going to get hate mail.
- 1:06:17Speaker 12: Holy shit.
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: Hate mail from space. Yes.
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: But, I mean, if aliens had been watching our planet...
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: They would know.
- 1:06:27Speaker 10: So that's probably why they're so scared to come down here.
- 1:06:31Speaker 10: You know, they're here and they're watching our channels and
- 1:06:33Speaker 10: they're going, damn, man, if we even show up, they're
- 1:06:34Speaker 10: going to shoot us because they think we're like really
- 1:06:37Speaker 10: bad people when they're actually kind of cool, you know?
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: I'm thinking space aliens are kind of cool. We can
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: blame it all on Independence Day. It's fucked it all up.
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: How dare you. Come on, like War of the Worlds
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: and stuff like that. They're going, man, these guys.
- 1:06:52Speaker 10: Even if we show up and go, hey, we come
- 1:06:54Speaker 10: in peace, they're going to blow us away.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: They hate us.
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: It's not always bad aliens.
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: E.T.
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: Was a good alien.
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: Yeah, he was a good alien.
- 1:07:00Speaker 11: Yeah, but even then, we attacked him as soon as
- 1:07:02Speaker 11: he had to run.
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: For his life the entire movie. All they want to
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: do is cut us open, you know? They want to
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: blow us up or cut us open. That's all they
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: want to do.
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: Mac and me.
- 1:07:10Speaker 12: Mac was a good alien.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: Alf?
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: I mean, Jesus.
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: No, he was bad, sort of. I was watching this
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: TV show today, and the guy on it looked just
- 1:07:19Speaker 8: like Alf.
- 1:07:20Speaker 12: I had a friend in high school who looked just
- 1:07:22Speaker 12: like Alf.
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: So did I.
- 1:07:23Speaker 12: Her name was Megan.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: Ouch.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: Ouch.
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: Megan had a hard road to hoe.
- 1:07:27Speaker 12: Who are you?
- 1:07:29Speaker 6: At least mine was a dude.
- 1:07:32Speaker 9: Yikes.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: Not really related, but he writes a bunch of stuff.
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: You know, there's this author. My boss gave me a
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: bunch of his books once. Ailey Martinez, the first one,
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: is Gil's All Fright Diner that I read. And then
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: he has one called In the Company of Ogres. Why
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: aren't those made into movies?
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: The first one they're making into a movie. Are they?
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: Good.
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: I think you missed that episode. You slept through that episode.
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: Probably.
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: No, it was a while ago. I do remember doing
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: a whole story on that.
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: Good, because I fucking love those books. They're amazing. You'd
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: like them, Misty.
- 1:08:03Speaker 10: I would.
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: I'll have to find them and let you borrow them.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Yay!
- 1:08:06Speaker 8: I only have the first two because this has been
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: a long time.
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: Are there pictures?
- 1:08:08Speaker 12: Because I like books with pictures.
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: There's no pictures, but they're funny. It's about, like, a
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: werewolf and a vampire, and they're, like, truckers.
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: That would be pretty funny. That's kind of funny. Awesome.
- 1:08:17Speaker 9: The odd couple.
- 1:08:17Speaker 11: The premise of it sounds good. I just hope they
- 1:08:19Speaker 11: don't screw it up.
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: It's like Goosebumps for Adults. Dude, this is amazing.
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: Did you hear they're redoing the Munsters?
- 1:08:26Speaker 12: They're updating the Munsters. They're going to have a new
- 1:08:28Speaker 12: TV series.
- 1:08:28Speaker 6: Oh, I thought you were talking about the movie.
- 1:08:30Speaker 11: Because for a while, I think it fell through.
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: They're going to have a TV show now.
- 1:08:35Speaker 12: It's been approved now.
- 1:08:36Speaker 13: It's actually going through.
- 1:08:37Speaker 6: Who's in charge of it?
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:08:38Speaker 12: I didn't hear that much. It was a very brief article.
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: Tim Burton. No, even worse.
- 1:08:42Speaker 11: When it was tentatively a new movie that they were
- 1:08:45Speaker 11: going to do, it.
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: Was bought out. Worse, it was bought out by the
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: Waynes Brothers.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: What?
- 1:08:51Speaker 11: They were going to make it like White Chicks Munster.
- 1:08:53Speaker 12: Style or something.
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: I think they're actually going to redo the TV show,
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: and they're actually going to have characters, but it's supposed
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: to be a little bit darker. kind of like some
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: of the TV shows they have going on now that are.
- 1:09:03Speaker 13: See, I mean, I.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: Like the gates or something that's like a modern-day vampire thing?
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:09:09Speaker 11: I love the monster, so I kind of don't want
- 1:09:11Speaker 11: him to touch it. But at the same time, I mean.
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: Well, the article I read didn't have the Wayans mentioned
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: at all.
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: So I don't know. See, if there's no Wayans, we're okay, maybe.
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: I did love the Wayans show, though, when I was younger.
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: Oh, my God, I love that show. Oh, I don't
- 1:09:23Speaker 6: know if we can talk anymore. I was insulted by
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: that show.
- 1:09:26Speaker 8: I was like 10, okay?
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: I had no taste.
- 1:09:28Speaker 11: Obviously.
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: In Loving Color, it was a great show.
- 1:09:33Speaker 11: The Wayans Brothers show was terrible.
- 1:09:35Speaker 12: I liked the Pretty Wayans. Which one was the Pretty Wayans?
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: Damon, the bald-headed one?
- 1:09:39Speaker 12: No, the Pretty Wayans.
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: SW1.
- 1:09:42Speaker 11: SW1, but he's the one that's horrible. He's the one
- 1:09:44Speaker 11: involved in everything that sucks.
- 1:09:45Speaker 12: But he's the Pretty Wayans.
- 1:09:46Speaker 6: Yeah, him and Marlon need to stop making jokes.
- 1:09:49Speaker 12: Marlon is not the Pretty Wayans.
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: Damon was at least handsome, you know, if you like
- 1:09:53Speaker 6: bald-headed dudes.
- 1:09:54Speaker 12: I don't like bald-headed dudes.
- 1:09:56Speaker 11: Well, I didn't say you had to hook up with them.
- 1:09:57Speaker 12: Except Michael Rosenbaum when he's bald. All right.
- 1:10:02Speaker 6: Speaking of scary dudes.
- 1:10:05Speaker 13: Okay.
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: Speaking of bald dudes?
- 1:10:07Speaker 6: Speaking of guys with crazy hair, how about that?
- 1:10:10Speaker 16: Okay.
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: Mick Foley.
- 1:10:13Speaker 8: Hmm.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 1:10:17Speaker 6: I can read the whole story, but who cares?
- 1:10:18Speaker 11: Do we need a Mick Foley biopic? That's what they're saying.
- 1:10:23Speaker 11: They're talking about... We need Mankind.
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: Yeah, Mankind.
- 1:10:26Speaker 12: I used to watch me some wrestling.
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: I know that one. See, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:10:30Speaker 12: I love me some Shawn Michaels.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: There's probably a market for it. Oh, there is. All
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: the crazy-ass WCW people.
- 1:10:36Speaker 8: I didn't know who Mick Foley was.
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: When are they going to start making NASCAR biopics?
- 1:10:40Speaker 13: There's the Dale.
- 1:10:41Speaker 12: There was already a Dale Earnhardt one with... What's his name?
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: Barry Pepper?
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, God.
- 1:10:46Speaker 6: That's actually not bad.
- 1:10:48Speaker 12: Isn't that his name, Barry?
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: Yeah, but he seems like he would be driving a NASCAR, actually.
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: No offense to Barry, but.
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: I would.
- 1:10:58Speaker 12: Watch me a Richard Petty NASCAR.
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: Would you now?
- 1:11:03Speaker 12: I like me some Richard Petty.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: He wore a cool hat.
- 1:11:05Speaker 9: He did wear a cool hat.
- 1:11:07Speaker 8: He reminded me of the Crocodile Hunter, but behind a NASCAR.
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: But driving.
- 1:11:12Speaker 14: And then there's a.
- 1:11:15Speaker 11: Gator in the other car crashing into him.
- 1:11:18Speaker 8: That'd be so cool. I love alligators.
- 1:11:21Speaker 9: Oh, God.
- 1:11:23Speaker 11: So, yeah, Nick Foley has written several books, some novels,
- 1:11:27Speaker 11: which is kind of frightening, children's books, really frightening, and
- 1:11:30Speaker 11: four memoirs.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: Nice.
- 1:11:32Speaker 12: Who needs four memoirs?
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: I mean, shouldn't you be able to wrap it up?
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: Maybe he forgot some stuff in the first book.
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: Maybe. Wait, stuff I forgot. Yeah.
- 1:11:43Speaker 11: So he is teaming up with producer Jeff Katz for
- 1:11:45Speaker 11: a biopic based on.
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: His life story. Nobody cares.
- 1:11:49Speaker 11: Again, no, there is a.
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: Market for it out there.
- 1:11:52Speaker 11: I don't need a Mick Foley movie, but you know what?
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: They'll probably make a ton of money on that.
- 1:11:57Speaker 12: When's the Ric Flair biopic coming out?
- 1:11:59Speaker 6: That'd be kind of interesting. When's the Macho Man Randy
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: Savage movie?
- 1:12:01Speaker 9: When's the Andre the Giant?
- 1:12:03Speaker 12: I would watch the Andre the Giant.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: Now that I would.
- 1:12:05Speaker 11: See, that's, I mean, at least, it's weird.
- 1:12:08Speaker 6: You gotta find a guy to play Andre the Giant.
- 1:12:10Speaker 6: Where the hell are you gonna find a guy to
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: play Andre the Giant? They'd have to CG it. Norwegian.
- 1:12:16Speaker 12: You know, you just surround a normal-sized guy with a
- 1:12:17Speaker 12: bunch of, like, shits.
- 1:12:18Speaker 9: That made Hagrid look big.
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: Yeah, or, like, The Hobbit, you know.
- 1:12:24Speaker 9: Camera trickery.
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: Stand on the box.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: Just cast, like, Tom Cruise.
- 1:12:31Speaker 8: And Danny Trejo, and all.
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: These short actors.
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:12:37Speaker 11: That could be interesting.
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: I don't know if it would be good, but it'd
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: be interesting.
- 1:12:40Speaker 12: Oh, God.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: So, yeah, I'm sure there's a market for it out there.
- 1:12:45Speaker 6: I was implying that Tom Cruise is short. It's okay.
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: You can make fun of Tom Cruise. Nobody has a
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: problem when you make fun of Tom Cruise.
- 1:12:50Speaker 14: Nobody cares because he's a little fucking psycho.
- 1:12:52Speaker 6: Henry Rollins. Hey, I like Henry.
- 1:12:55Speaker 9: Yeah, Henry's awesome.
- 1:12:56Speaker 12: He's short.
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: Oh, man, what else?
- 1:12:59Speaker 11: Okay, so, yeah, once again, this is another one we
- 1:13:02Speaker 11: return to every week because Hollywood only has, like, five
- 1:13:04Speaker 11: ideas and they just keep pulling from the same little
- 1:13:06Speaker 11: group of things here.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 1:13:08Speaker 11: No, the fairy tales thing. The latest project is called
- 1:13:12Speaker 11: Snow White and the Huntsman, a live-action retelling of the
- 1:13:15Speaker 11: Grimm's fairy tale with, as the title suggests, a feature, well,
- 1:13:20Speaker 11: it enhances the role of the huntsman.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: Didn't he teach her how to fight and survive?
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: Not to be confused with the romantic lead.
- 1:13:26Speaker 11: Prince Charming will probably still be there in some form.
- 1:13:29Speaker 11: It'll be Zac Efron. The Huntsman will start the film
- 1:13:33Speaker 11: as he's being ordered to kill Snow White in the woods,
- 1:13:37Speaker 11: as it is in the Disney movie, too.
- 1:13:40Speaker 9: He's captivated by her beauty.
- 1:13:42Speaker 11: Instead, he ends up chained to Snow White on the
- 1:13:44Speaker 11: run and teaching her how to survive. So it's like
- 1:13:47Speaker 11: snow white in the defiant ones.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: Sounds boring. It's one of those.
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: They already did this. It was a movie with Sigourney.
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: I know they keep pulling from this same thing. I
- 1:13:58Speaker 11: don't understand why they keep pulling from the same little
- 1:14:00Speaker 11: group of things, but it's the same thing I said before.
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: If they can do it in a different way, like
- 1:14:04Speaker 11: this at least is different. It's not just retelling the
- 1:14:07Speaker 11: exact same story about snow white. It's, taking a different
- 1:14:10Speaker 11: spin on it and going in an entirely different direction. Again,
- 1:14:13Speaker 11: I don't know that it's going to be good, but
- 1:14:15Speaker 11: if they could find a way to tell some other
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: story and make it, I don't know, something. Change is
- 1:14:22Speaker 11: no white.
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: That should be kind of hot.
- 1:14:23Speaker 9: No, it's the same story.
- 1:14:26Speaker 6: Yeah, so that's the problem.
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: So it's going to be one of those movies.
- 1:14:29Speaker 6: I think so, actually.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:14:31Speaker 8: Like secretary, but Snow White.
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: Snow White and chains.
- 1:14:36Speaker 11: I did rent that one time.
- 1:14:37Speaker 8: Like Alice in Chains? No.
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: But Snow White and chains?
- 1:14:40Speaker 11: No.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: So let's escape from that.
- 1:14:46Speaker 12: From the chains?
- 1:14:47Speaker 6: From the chains.
- 1:14:47Speaker 13: From the chains.
- 1:14:50Speaker 9: Shackles.
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: To one that's even more shackling.
- 1:14:52Speaker 9: You know what?
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: You love it. It's time for the remake of the week.
- 1:14:55Speaker 11: Oh, no.
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: I've said it before.
- 1:14:58Speaker 11: I'm sure I will say it again and again in
- 1:15:00Speaker 11: weeks to come, but you don't touch Hitchcock.
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: It's a no-win situation. Don't do it. What, the birds?
- 1:15:07Speaker 11: No, they're still talking about doing a remake of the birds.
- 1:15:10Speaker 9: Psycho?
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: It was called Disturbia there. The lawsuit's still pending. Yeah, right.
- 1:15:15Speaker 11: So, no, the latest project, yeah. I like the way
- 1:15:19Speaker 11: they word it. The latest project bears the atrocious title,
- 1:15:23Speaker 11: and I agree, of Teens on a Train... What?
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: Is it Strangers on a Train?
- 1:15:29Speaker 11: Remake of the 1951 Strangers on a Train. And yeah,
- 1:15:33Speaker 11: like the source material, Teens on a Train will be
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: about strangers that meet up on a train and agree
- 1:15:37Speaker 11: to murder someone for each other.
- 1:15:40Speaker 6: Where this version will depart is that, besides the obvious
- 1:15:43Speaker 6: ways of teenagers.
- 1:15:45Speaker 12: And the suck factor.
- 1:15:46Speaker 11: And the extra suck factor is that one of the
- 1:15:48Speaker 11: two people will.
- 1:15:49Speaker 6: Be a girl who is also raving mad. What? Why
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: do we care? I don't care.
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: Oh, my God. I mean, like, what sane person, like,
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: meets someone on a train and is like, oh, yeah,
- 1:16:00Speaker 8: I'll totally kill that person for you. You're just going
- 1:16:02Speaker 8: to kill this person. Who's not fucking raving mad anyway
- 1:16:04Speaker 8: who's going to do that?
- 1:16:05Speaker 6: What are you talking about?
- 1:16:06Speaker 12: I would totally agree to that.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: But that's not really clearing a point.
- 1:16:10Speaker 11: And I hate to tell them, but once again, talking
- 1:16:13Speaker 11: about remaking something and doing it in an entirely different way,
- 1:16:16Speaker 11: they did do a remake of this, and it was successful.
- 1:16:18Speaker 11: It's called Throw Mama from the Train. And if you
- 1:16:21Speaker 11: like comedies, once again, taking an entire different direction.
- 1:16:24Speaker 6: It's basically that plot.
- 1:16:25Speaker 8: Throw Mama from the Train was awesome.
- 1:16:26Speaker 6: Yeah, it's that plot.
- 1:16:27Speaker 10: Just the name alone, Teens on a Train, you know
- 1:16:30Speaker 10: it's going to suck.
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: Because it's going to be a fucking Justin Guarini fucking.
- 1:16:36Speaker 6: Tragedy.
- 1:16:37Speaker 13: Wow.
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: Way to pull that out of it.
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: He's been ranting about Justin Guarini for the past week.
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: I don't know what the deal is.
- 1:16:44Speaker 6: Where did that come from?
- 1:16:45Speaker 10: Because every time we turn on the goddamn TV, he's
- 1:16:47Speaker 10: fucking on the whatever that damn preview channel. Why can't
- 1:16:51Speaker 10: I just see what the hell's on TV without having
- 1:16:53Speaker 10: to see him?
- 1:16:54Speaker 12: At least he cut his hair off.
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: At least, but still, they got the.
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: Most annoying fucking.
- 1:16:57Speaker 8: He has a nose like a hawk, like a hawk beak.
- 1:16:59Speaker 6: They got the most annoying just... Flaccid, non-personality, just one-dimensional.
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: How do you know he's flaccid?
- 1:17:09Speaker 6: On the preview channel.
- 1:17:10Speaker 9: These people are just, oh, jeez, God. I don't think
- 1:17:14Speaker 9: I've ever watched the preview channel.
- 1:17:15Speaker 10: But sometimes you have to because they scroll so fucking slow.
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: All I want to know is what's coming on channel.
- 1:17:22Speaker 9: You can't fast forward it?
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: No, we don't have that.
- 1:17:24Speaker 13: No, it's not.
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: It's just the channel.
- 1:17:27Speaker 9: Yeah, fuck that channel.
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: I got the cheap channel.
- 1:17:29Speaker 9: Goddamn.
- 1:17:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't have that.
- 1:17:31Speaker 14: No, you're very patient to even sit through that. There's
- 1:17:33Speaker 14: no way I could. Especially if this guy.
- 1:17:35Speaker 9: Was on it.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: That's why I love Ugly Betty so much now. She's
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: on there from five to seven, so I just end
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: up sucking into it.
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: They stick shows on it and they know nobody else
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: will watch.
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: I love Eric Mabeus.
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: He's alright anyways I was just saying it's gonna turn
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: into some kind of.
- 1:17:51Speaker 10: To me this just a big joke because most of
- 1:17:56Speaker 10: the people that are gonna go see this movie have
- 1:17:57Speaker 10: no clue about you know, the original Hitchcock movie.
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: They're just going to go see it and they're going
- 1:18:02Speaker 6: to be like, oh, that's teens on a train. Let's
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: go get popcorn and talk about acne. You know, it's
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: just fucking stupid shit. I don't know.
- 1:18:09Speaker 11: It sounds like Hitchcock UPN style.
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: It's just going to be like.
- 1:18:15Speaker 12: It's been a long time since you've been a teenager.
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: I was never a teenager. You skipped that part? I
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: skipped that entire.
- 1:18:22Speaker 12: You were born an old man.
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: Time Yeah, I was. I think I kind of was, too.
- 1:18:27Speaker 9: Oh, me too.
- 1:18:28Speaker 8: I was also born an old man.
- 1:18:30Speaker 6: Were you born an old man?
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: I was born a poor black child.
- 1:18:34Speaker 6: You've gone through many changes in your time.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: Nice.
- 1:18:38Speaker 11: So, yeah, the only saving grace for us is that
- 1:18:42Speaker 11: it's done by creator of the TV, the UK TV
- 1:18:45Speaker 11: series Material Girl, and they're producing it in the UK,
- 1:18:49Speaker 11: so it may actually make sense.
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: Get released in the US. Actually, they may save it
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: because sometimes some of the UK stuff's pretty funny. That's
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: what I'm thinking.
- 1:18:56Speaker 11: I mean, that actually, no joke, that might be the
- 1:18:58Speaker 11: most useful thing in this story is the fact that
- 1:19:00Speaker 11: it's not going to be like producers that are working
- 1:19:03Speaker 11: for the WB or whatever the hell that shit is.
- 1:19:05Speaker 6: That's what I was expecting to hear.
- 1:19:06Speaker 8: A gossip girl on a train.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:19:08Speaker 6: That's what it sounded like. Yeah, it's going to be
- 1:19:10Speaker 6: a high school musical. That's right.
- 1:19:14Speaker 11: I'm going to kill you now.
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: Singing and dancing.
- 1:19:18Speaker 8: We'll have to find that episode or that skit from
- 1:19:21Speaker 8: Saturday Night Live that Zac Efron was on. He was
- 1:19:24Speaker 8: making fun of High School Musical. It was so funny.
- 1:19:26Speaker 12: I don't care. I like Zac Efron.
- 1:19:29Speaker 6: He's so pretty.
- 1:19:31Speaker 8: No, this made it really funny. Like, it was hilarious.
- 1:19:34Speaker 11: The jury's still out on him. I haven't seen enough
- 1:19:35Speaker 11: of him to make up my mind. He might have
- 1:19:37Speaker 11: a decent sense of humor about himself.
- 1:19:38Speaker 12: He was on an episode of Firefly, so he's won
- 1:19:41Speaker 12: me over.
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: I know. So, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:19:44Speaker 11: That's just, it could be a train wreck.
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: Who's got a Firefly?
- 1:19:49Speaker 12: Told you this a dozen times.
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: I've heard it like six times.
- 1:19:52Speaker 9: Even Roger. The young doctor.
- 1:19:54Speaker 12: I want to have a flashback to when the doctor
- 1:19:56Speaker 12: and River are kids.
- 1:19:58Speaker 9: That was like a two minute scene.
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: Oh, well, yeah, so whatever.
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: It redeemed him to me. And I've never seen High
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: School Musical, so I don't fucking care.
- 1:20:08Speaker 11: All right, to get away from the buzz, I did
- 1:20:11Speaker 11: want to throw in an interview because I promised you
- 1:20:14Speaker 11: a couple weeks ago to finish this one out. We
- 1:20:16Speaker 11: sat there with William Ragsdale a few weeks back, but
- 1:20:19Speaker 11: we didn't get to Amanda.
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: This week, we get to Amanda Burse.
- 1:20:23Speaker 8: Is that how you pronounce it?
- 1:20:24Speaker 12: Marcy Darcy.
- 1:20:24Speaker 6: That's the thing.
- 1:20:25Speaker 11: I think I was saying it wrong for years. When
- 1:20:28Speaker 11: you hear her pronounce it, it's Burse.
- 1:20:29Speaker 6: Burse.
- 1:20:30Speaker 12: That's how I always said it, how we've been saying it.
- 1:20:31Speaker 6: I think a lot of people say Beers.
- 1:20:33Speaker 8: I say Beers.
- 1:20:34Speaker 9: I always said Beers.
- 1:20:35Speaker 11: Again, I don't think I'd heard it pronounced. I just
- 1:20:37Speaker 11: always seen it.
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: On the screen.
- 1:20:39Speaker 12: You should just call her Marcy Darcy.
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: Yeah, I know.
- 1:20:41Speaker 11: At this point, we all kind of call her Marcy
- 1:20:42Speaker 11: Darcy because that's a fun thing to say.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: So, yeah.
- 1:20:45Speaker 6: She was great on that show.
- 1:20:47Speaker 8: I love Nathan Ryan.
- 1:20:48Speaker 6: She's great in general.
- 1:20:50Speaker 11: And the thing that was really awesome, and this is
- 1:20:52Speaker 11: one that, you know, it's one of those you don't
- 1:20:54Speaker 11: get unless you actually meet the person. You're actually there,
- 1:20:56Speaker 11: so it was kind of cool to be there, was
- 1:20:58Speaker 11: watching her interacting with William Ragsdale.
- 1:21:01Speaker 12: Did she age as well as William Ragsdale?
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: I think she did. I think she looks pretty damn good,
- 1:21:05Speaker 6: I have to say.
- 1:21:05Speaker 12: I didn't get that close, so I couldn't tell.
- 1:21:07Speaker 11: I think she looks good. But, yeah, the fact that
- 1:21:10Speaker 11: they're sitting there and... They're kind of really playful. And
- 1:21:14Speaker 11: I was like, well, these two were hanging out together
- 1:21:16Speaker 11: when they were teenagers. It's like the way that they
- 1:21:19Speaker 11: knew each other was as teenagers. So it's funny that
- 1:21:22Speaker 11: they revisit that now because I don't think she'd done
- 1:21:24Speaker 11: anything before.
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: She hadn't really done.
- 1:21:26Speaker 11: Shows before this last couple of years was the first
- 1:21:29Speaker 11: time she'd been back involved with all the Fright Night people.
- 1:21:33Speaker 6: So it was kind of funny to watch them together
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: because I think.
- 1:21:36Speaker 11: they just sort of fell back into that and they're,
- 1:21:37Speaker 11: they're being really funny with each other and kind of,
- 1:21:40Speaker 11: kind of playful. And she's like, as he's, as he's
- 1:21:43Speaker 11: getting interviewed, she's over there messing with him and like
- 1:21:46Speaker 11: pretending to use her. She had like a piece of
- 1:21:49Speaker 11: paper rolled up into a tube and that was her camera.
- 1:21:52Speaker 11: And she was directing, basically, being ever the director these days. So, yeah,
- 1:21:57Speaker 11: she was trying to direct the segment, and it was
- 1:22:00Speaker 11: focusing in on things. And he was just like, what
- 1:22:02Speaker 11: the hell are you doing over there? So it's kind
- 1:22:05Speaker 11: of funny watching them interact before we actually got into
- 1:22:09Speaker 11: the interview. But then it picks up there, and you'll
- 1:22:12Speaker 11: get to hear what else she's been up to. But, yep,
- 1:22:14Speaker 11: Amanda is pretty awesome. So I know Eskimo is excited
- 1:22:17Speaker 11: to hear the rest of it.
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: So this is Amanda.
- 1:22:21Speaker 13: Yeah, you're not directing right now, Anna. Is that how
- 1:22:24Speaker 13: you look at people? That's how she operates.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: Hi, I'm a man.
- 1:22:29Speaker 13: I'm a director.
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: Oh. Yeah.
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: What are they doing this? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:46Speaker 13: You can make a great movie about the inside of
- 1:22:48Speaker 13: your bathroom.
- 1:22:49Speaker 6: Because of the TP.
- 1:22:50Speaker 13: Or your kitchen.
- 1:22:55Speaker 6: Oh, good. Track with me.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Widen out.
- 1:23:00Speaker 7: Oh, my.
- 1:23:03Speaker 13: That's how you know she's a professional right there. If
- 1:23:08Speaker 13: you're ready.
- 1:23:09Speaker 7: I'm ready.
- 1:23:11Speaker 13: Now it's time for the revenge.
- 1:23:12Speaker 7: Ready as I'm going to be.
- 1:23:15Speaker 13: We're here with Amanda. I wanted to see, did you
- 1:23:17Speaker 13: plan on getting into performing early on?
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: I was a precocious child, to say the least.
- 1:23:25Speaker 16: If William Ragsdale could hush, bring it down over there,
- 1:23:28Speaker 16: then I might be able to.
- 1:23:29Speaker 7: Actually, I did theater all my life. So I pretty
- 1:23:33Speaker 7: much did always want to be an actor.
- 1:23:35Speaker 16: There was a period of time where I thought it
- 1:23:39Speaker 16: wasn't a very practical way to earn a living. And
- 1:23:41Speaker 16: then I got over that and just decided to go
- 1:23:44Speaker 16: for it. And so there you have it. And I
- 1:23:47Speaker 16: was an actor for many years. I've now been behind
- 1:23:51Speaker 16: the camera, you know, for many years.
- 1:23:52Speaker 11: I was going to say, early on you got into
- 1:23:54Speaker 11: projects that a lot of up-and-coming actresses do.
- 1:23:57Speaker 13: You did a sex comedy. You did a horror movie.
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: I kept my clothes on in fraternity vacation.
- 1:24:03Speaker 13: That's right.
- 1:24:03Speaker 11: But it's one of those you, I think, were smart
- 1:24:06Speaker 11: enough to not go down the wrong road. But I guess,
- 1:24:08Speaker 11: you know, Coming from that point, can you see, you know,
- 1:24:11Speaker 11: at that point in your life, the perspective of those
- 1:24:14Speaker 11: pitfalls that young actresses fall into?
- 1:24:16Speaker 7: Well, I guess they weren't asking me to take my
- 1:24:18Speaker 7: clothes off either, frankly.
- 1:24:19Speaker 16: But when I took my top down for Fright Night,
- 1:24:24Speaker 16: when Chris Sarandon's character bit me on the neck, I
- 1:24:28Speaker 16: had duct tape all over my breasts.
- 1:24:30Speaker 7: So that was attractive.
- 1:24:33Speaker 13: The good look.
- 1:24:34Speaker 16: You know, a lot of women feel differently about their
- 1:24:38Speaker 16: bodies and their self-images.
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: It's their right to do what they choose to do.
- 1:24:42Speaker 7: I don't think it's necessary to have a career. You
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: can have a career and keep your clothes on.
- 1:24:49Speaker 13: Just saying. I was going to say, even the lifestyle
- 1:24:52Speaker 13: as it gets.
- 1:24:53Speaker 11: I mean, could a young Amanda, gone wrong, turn up
- 1:24:55Speaker 11: like Lindsay Lohan?
- 1:24:57Speaker 7: No, I mean, any of us could have fallen.
- 1:25:02Speaker 16: victim, prey, whatever, just made bad choices and not been
- 1:25:08Speaker 16: able to get ourselves out of those bad choices. Celebrity
- 1:25:12Speaker 16: is a very different world now than it was when
- 1:25:14Speaker 16: I was a young actor. We're talking almost 30 years.
- 1:25:17Speaker 16: And the industry has changed. Everybody knows every detail about
- 1:25:21Speaker 16: everybody's lives because.
- 1:25:22Speaker 7: Of the Internet.
- 1:25:24Speaker 16: And I'm not sure I would have been able to
- 1:25:29Speaker 16: survive because I never really was comfortable with that aspect
- 1:25:33Speaker 16: of the industry. I wanted to just work. But it's
- 1:25:37Speaker 16: a necessary evil now, and you can get into trouble,
- 1:25:44Speaker 16: no doubt about it.
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: Very easily.
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: Or people can make trouble for you also.
- 1:25:48Speaker 13: Yeah, and that's people's jobs.
- 1:25:50Speaker 7: And there's nothing you can do about it, unfortunately.
- 1:25:53Speaker 11: And then just getting into Mary Booth Children, because I
- 1:25:56Speaker 11: was a big fan of that over the.
- 1:25:57Speaker 13: Years as well.
- 1:25:58Speaker 16: Yay.
- 1:25:59Speaker 13: Marcy was in for quite a ride over the run
- 1:26:01Speaker 13: of the series, was she not?
- 1:26:02Speaker 7: Well, we all kind of.
- 1:26:03Speaker 16: We all started out as human beings, but then I
- 1:26:06Speaker 16: think we sort of ended up almost like the Simpsons.
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: That we became... It was.
- 1:26:10Speaker 16: Like a live-action cartoon. And, you know, Al Bundy's character
- 1:26:14Speaker 16: was definitely like the Wile E. Coyote of the Roadrunner cartoons, that,
- 1:26:18Speaker 16: you know, in one scene he'd fall off a roof
- 1:26:20Speaker 16: and be.
- 1:26:22Speaker 7: You'd think dead. And then he's around in the next
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: scene with, like, a Band-Aid on his finger. So it
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: was just... Silly and.
- 1:26:29Speaker 16: Fun and never anything but a vehicle to make people laugh.
- 1:26:37Speaker 11: And then from that, was that your entry into directing? Absolutely.
- 1:26:41Speaker 13: Was that one of the first ones you did?
- 1:26:42Speaker 7: Absolutely.
- 1:26:42Speaker 16: They gave me my second career, Ron Levin and Michael Moy,
- 1:26:46Speaker 16: the executive producers of Married with Children. I negotiated to
- 1:26:49Speaker 16: direct in the sixth season, and I did six years
- 1:26:54Speaker 16: of the show.
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: Well, let's see. It's kind of kooky.
- 1:26:57Speaker 16: Five seasons we were 11 seasons in 10 years so
- 1:27:01Speaker 16: i don't know five or six yeah somewhere in there
- 1:27:03Speaker 16: i directed a whole lot of episodes let me just
- 1:27:05Speaker 16: say that half of the run was all you uh
- 1:27:07Speaker 16: yeah a good many of them yeah which is impressive
- 1:27:10Speaker 16: thank you quite an undertaking well and then on our
- 1:27:13Speaker 16: weeks off because you know you have to get scripts
- 1:27:14Speaker 16: ready on any series so we would usually do three
- 1:27:18Speaker 16: shows in a row and then we'd be down a
- 1:27:19Speaker 16: week and three shows and down so on those weeks
- 1:27:22Speaker 16: off I'd be off directing other episodes of different shows
- 1:27:26Speaker 16: because I knew Married With Children would eventually end.
- 1:27:29Speaker 7: And I wanted people to take me seriously as a director.
- 1:27:32Speaker 7: And they would say, well, can she do anything besides
- 1:27:34Speaker 7: Married With Children?
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: And, yep.
- 1:27:36Speaker 16: If I could, and that's why I stay behind the camera,
- 1:27:39Speaker 16: because that's really where the momentum was for me, and
- 1:27:43Speaker 16: I've loved it, though these many years later.
- 1:27:45Speaker 11: There were points when she would go off and be
- 1:27:48Speaker 11: gone from the storyline for a little while, and I
- 1:27:50Speaker 11: always assumed it was directing duties at that point.
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: Sometimes.
- 1:27:53Speaker 16: Initially, I didn't contract for all shows produced, so there
- 1:27:56Speaker 16: were a few episodes where I just wasn't written in.
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: The first episode I directed, where Al got glasses.
- 1:28:03Speaker 16: It was titled If I Could See Me Now. They
- 1:28:06Speaker 16: purposefully wrote me out so that I could just do
- 1:28:09Speaker 16: one job. But I actually had a great time because
- 1:28:12Speaker 16: we shoot live in front of a studio audience. So
- 1:28:15Speaker 16: it's like doing a play, and I'm running up and
- 1:28:17Speaker 16: down in wardrobe and makeup, in and out of scenes
- 1:28:20Speaker 16: between the booth where I direct and the stage where
- 1:28:23Speaker 16: I was acting, and that was a hoot and a half.
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: It really was a lot of fun.
- 1:28:27Speaker 13: That's a lot to deal with. It was a very
- 1:28:30Speaker 13: different approach to a sitcom. Do you feel like you
- 1:28:32Speaker 13: come at projects with a different approach as a director?
- 1:28:36Speaker 7: Well, it's old school, and it has, again, a place.
- 1:28:39Speaker 16: in my heart because I grew up in television as
- 1:28:42Speaker 16: a TV kid, not as a professional. But, you know,
- 1:28:46Speaker 16: I've always loved TV. It's been a big part of
- 1:28:49Speaker 16: my life and memories as a child that shows that
- 1:28:51Speaker 16: I'd watch.
- 1:28:52Speaker 7: With my mom or my family.
- 1:28:54Speaker 16: And so being in that industry for almost 30 years,
- 1:28:58Speaker 16: it's pretty cool. um marywood children came out of norman
- 1:29:01Speaker 16: lear's company which is very old school um half hour
- 1:29:05Speaker 16: programming i still love it today there are not many
- 1:29:07Speaker 16: shows done that way um it's a it's a nice
- 1:29:10Speaker 16: down and dirty cheap way to do it but not
- 1:29:12Speaker 16: much is shot on digibeta anymore um but uh i
- 1:29:17Speaker 16: still love directing multi-camera i've i've gone from doing half
- 1:29:21Speaker 16: hours to doing a lot of sketch comedy um i
- 1:29:24Speaker 16: worked you know in and around mad tv for many
- 1:29:26Speaker 16: years and So it's been a medium that has served me.
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: Well, and I'm very lucky.
- 1:29:32Speaker 13: Have you been watching Modern Family?
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: Yes, it's funny.
- 1:29:36Speaker 16: Ed's great. He's a very talented actor. It's a very
- 1:29:40Speaker 16: funny show.
- 1:29:41Speaker 13: When are you going to direct it?
- 1:29:43Speaker 16: I don't think I'll be over there. That's a very
- 1:29:47Speaker 16: thoughtful question of you. No, I don't really think. I
- 1:29:51Speaker 16: don't live in Los Angeles. I sort of left the
- 1:29:54Speaker 16: business about 10 years ago. I still work here and there.
- 1:29:57Speaker 16: But it's actually following a style of directing that they
- 1:30:04Speaker 16: go to certain people to do.
- 1:30:06Speaker 7: And mine is more an in-studio, multi-camera style.
- 1:30:09Speaker 16: I would love to have the opportunity to do more
- 1:30:11Speaker 16: single camera, but I'm not there.
- 1:30:14Speaker 13: It's a very different style. It is.
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: It is.
- 1:30:18Speaker 13: Any new projects you're working on?
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: No, the show I just finished doing for Logo, three-year run, a.
- 1:30:25Speaker 16: Sketch comedy show much like Mad TV called The Big
- 1:30:27Speaker 16: Gay Sketch Show. It did not get a four-season pickup,
- 1:30:30Speaker 16: but we had three good years, and I was proud
- 1:30:32Speaker 16: to be a part of that network because never in
- 1:30:34Speaker 16: my lifetime did I think there would ever be a
- 1:30:36Speaker 16: gay network on TV.
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: So in a way, I got to make.
- 1:30:38Speaker 16: History a couple of times once with Fox and kind
- 1:30:42Speaker 16: of starting up that network on that little Mary with
- 1:30:44Speaker 16: Children show and then being a part of Logo. So
- 1:30:48Speaker 16: I'm currently writing on projects, developing projects, and getting my
- 1:30:54Speaker 16: kid through high school.
- 1:30:55Speaker 7: And then who knows? I'll be out and about and beware.
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: Back in action.
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:31:04Speaker 13: Thank you very much thank you for talking.
- 1:31:07Speaker 18: To us that's how we should go i do have
- 1:31:14Speaker 18: a thing for that theme song one of the best
- 1:31:16Speaker 18: written theme songs.
- 1:31:17Speaker 11: I've ever heard again uh that is stewart copeland i
- 1:31:21Speaker 11: believe he who has done a lot of film scores
- 1:31:24Speaker 11: and is actually you know other than his rock and
- 1:31:27Speaker 11: roll days uh he's become kind of well respected in
- 1:31:30Speaker 11: the uh In the music industry, and he wrote the
- 1:31:32Speaker 11: Amanda Show theme song.
- 1:31:34Speaker 12: Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, Amanda, Amanda Show.
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: So that having been said, hey, maybe we'll go out
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: with that.
- 1:31:40Speaker 11: Otherwise, thank you once again to Amanda for talking to us. Otherwise,
- 1:31:44Speaker 11: we will wrap it up here and invite you to
