- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:19Hey, friends.
- 0:20Thank you so much for watching, listening, and sharing the podcast.
- 0:23We really appreciate you.
- 0:25Today's guest is Pastor Ed Yarek.
- 0:28And he was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and now lives near Lansing, Michigan.
- 0:34And he's been married 46 years to his wife, Carol.
- 0:371992, he entered Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa School of Ministry.
- 0:42And then was led to start Calvary Chapel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- 0:46That was in 94.
- 0:47He was senior pastor there for 18 years.
- 0:50They also planted a church in Buckeye, Arizona, Calvary Chapel, Buckeye, Arizona, and
- 0:55Ed was senior pastor there for 10 years.
- 0:57He has served on mission trips, various countries, spoken on various issues, conferences.
- 1:03He's been a part of ministries over the years.
- 1:06And he's presently in lower Michigan, because I was a uper.
- 1:10I grew up in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
- 1:13But Ed serves on the board at Calvary Chapel, Lansing.
- 1:16Frequently teaches on his YouTube channel, and we'll reference that many times throughout
- 1:21the podcast today.
- 1:22Ed Yarek, good to see you, brother.
- 1:24Welcome to World View Matters.
- 1:26Good to see you too, David.
- 1:27God bless you, brother.
- 1:28Yeah, God bless you.
- 1:29Boy, you just sound like you're a busy guy, and I jokingly said before we got on the
- 1:33podcast, you know, you say semi-retired Christians aren't supposed to retire, right?
- 1:37No.
- 1:38You have your retire from ministry, servings you as you can.
- 1:42Never.
- 1:43Not in time.
- 1:44You're home.
- 1:45And then anyway, I wanted to share how we met.
- 1:48We both were speaking at a conference, a prophecy conference in Appleton, Wisconsin.
- 1:53Was that last year or earlier this year?
- 1:55I think it was earlier this year.
- 1:56Earlier this year?
- 1:57Yep.
- 1:58On April, I believe.
- 1:59So I met you there.
- 2:00I just loved your passion, your energy, your, just your personality.
- 2:06I just, and I, it took this long to get you on the podcast, but I'm glad to have you
- 2:10here.
- 2:11So tell us a little bit about you, you go to Calvary Chapel, Lansing and Teach about
- 2:16once a month, and, and you planted the one in Arizona.
- 2:19Tell us a little bit about your relationship with both churches today.
- 2:23Yeah.
- 2:24Well, in Lansing, we, we, we actually planted the church in a Buckeye, Arizona, about 11
- 2:3112, 12 years ago now and, and, and so it's interesting.
- 2:37The Lord brought a guy in the replacement before even knew I was going to have a replacement.
- 2:41And then we moved back here, which was a blessing because we got kids and grandkids
- 2:45here in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Lansing's only an hour away.
- 2:50And so we're able to go and, I'm able to go over there and, and teach, and I'm also on
- 2:58the board there.
- 3:01So Jeff, if you can pull up the, the link over at SouthwestCalvary.com under our story.
- 3:07I just want to show the viewers a picture of Ed and his wife, Carol, there you are.
- 3:14Good picture, you guys, Ed.
- 3:15And so tell us about you, do you pump out these videos, they're short videos.
- 3:20So that's great.
- 3:21People's attention spans are really limited these days.
- 3:24So you do a lot of videos on YouTube.
- 3:26I'm sure it's whatever God puts on your heart, but just tell us a little bit about that
- 3:30and why you keep doing that.
- 3:32Well, I mean, the, the bottom line is where I believe we're in the, in the last days.
- 3:37And, you know, the thing that, that saw my heart, always been on my heart is get the gospel
- 3:42out there.
- 3:43And the word of God, you know, faith comes by hearing, hearing by the words.
- 3:46So if I can, and I know that people, like you said, the people's attention spans aren't
- 3:51that long.
- 3:52So, you know, a lot of times, you know, if we can just get a scripture out there and then
- 3:57whatever the Lord puts on my heart, just to try to reach people, my son-in-law got to
- 4:03have me also do some stuff on TikTok because he said there's a lot of people, a lot of
- 4:08younger people on TikTok.
- 4:10You know, if we can get the, if we can get the gospel to them and get the word of God
- 4:15to them, that's where really my heart, I've got just that burden for that at this point
- 4:18in my life.
- 4:19So, yeah.
- 4:20Well, what I'm hearing is you seem to have a sense of urgency because our time is short.
- 4:26And one of my favorite verses, I share this a lot, Psalm 90 verse 10, teach us to number
- 4:31our days that we might gain a heart of wisdom.
- 4:33We don't know.
- 4:34You know, I mean, I had a sister that died when she was 24, you know, I mean, my mom made
- 4:40it to 93, you know, but we don't know, but, but I think what we lack, especially in
- 4:45America, and I'd love for you to speak to this, we are so maybe too comfortable and busy
- 4:50and distracted and maybe live in the American dream and whatever that is to different people.
- 4:56But we, I don't sense that the church in America understands the times and has a sense
- 5:02of urgency.
- 5:03Your thoughts on that, Ed?
- 5:06Well, I think you're right.
- 5:07I think the big problem is a lot of the churches are, and I hate to say this, but are in many
- 5:14ways more interested in nickels and noses and trying to get people in the church.
- 5:19And rather than just teaching the word of God, and it doesn't seem as popular, but people
- 5:25are perishing today for lack of knowledge.
- 5:27I mean, you know, the scriptures are very clear about that, and there's a famine in
- 5:32the land, as the Old Testament talks about, and it's not a famine of food or water, but
- 5:36it's a famine of the word of God.
- 5:38And so, yeah, and so the whole culture is, you know, if the way the church goes is the
- 5:45way, of course, the family goes and the culture goes.
- 5:48And so a lot of the churches aren't, aren't sticking to the old paths.
- 5:52I'm not so thankful, you know, I think the Lord for Calvary Chapel, Pastor Chuck Smith
- 5:57back in the day, you know, that's what got me hooked up listening to him on the radio.
- 6:01And just a simple teaching of the word of God, it's so transformed, transformed our lives.
- 6:07And, you know, you got that solid foundation of the word of God, and people have something
- 6:16to lean on.
- 6:17I love the teaching of verse by verse for the simple fact that, you know, whether they
- 6:24continue to go to your church or go somewhere else, they have a foundation, and they can
- 6:28take that with them.
- 6:29Because the focus is the Bible, you know, it's like that old adage, pray and read the Bible
- 6:34or read the Bible and pray.
- 6:37It's so simple, you know, and but the church has kind of moved away from that.
- 6:42And so therefore our culture is kind of, you know, where do they have to go?
- 6:46Where's the hope, you know?
- 6:49What I've noticed, I know you have too, you've been at this a while.
- 6:53In America for some reason, I don't even know when this started, maybe you can share
- 6:58some insight on this, pastors maybe started thinking they had to maybe keep people's attention
- 7:04and that turned into entertainment.
- 7:07So entertaining people, and then shorter sermons, and then more topical, and then, and all
- 7:13this other stuff.
- 7:14And I'm thinking, wow, we got away from the power for the gospel is the power of God.
- 7:20Then as you said, faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word, not by stories and not
- 7:25by entertaining, whatever you're going to share to make your point.
- 7:28Go ahead and share your thoughts.
- 7:29I don't know when that started and how far we've gotten away from that in the church today.
- 7:32Right.
- 7:33Well, like you know, Spirition said, you know, the word of God, it's like a line in the
- 7:37cage.
- 7:38You just open up the cage and let it out.
- 7:40So just teaching my, you know, can Carl Westerland back in the school of ministry?
- 7:45He said, if you guys, if you and Chris, we didn't know what we were doing at the beginning
- 7:49of learning to be a pastor, but if you just did nothing but teach, read the text, you
- 7:54know, you'd be doing great.
- 7:56And, you know, that's the thing we don't, and the deal is with, with Calvary style, I
- 8:01mean, what I do is it's not teaching necessarily from the Bible or about the Bible.
- 8:06I mean, we do some of that, but it's mostly, we teach the Bible, you know, it's so, and
- 8:10it's such a blessing to be able to just read through a passage, comment on it, give
- 8:16the background on it, you know, if you look at the language, whatever.
- 8:20But just so you can, and my main job is just, okay, we want to understand this text.
- 8:26And it's like Jayverna McGee used to say, you know, take and put the cookies down on
- 8:31the bottom shelf so that the little kiddie's going to, you know, that's really all we do
- 8:35and or seek to do and to keep ourselves out of the way of doing it.
- 8:39So, you know, whether you have a big church, a little church, who cares?
- 8:43I mean, you know, God said, the Lord says in, in a way that it's Psalms, you know, unless
- 8:49the Lord built a house, a labor in vain that build it's, unless the Lord, you know, forget
- 8:55the last part of it, but unless the Lord builds a house, a labor in vain that build it.
- 9:00So we, as long as the pastor's doing what he's supposed to do, teaching the word about
- 9:04and God honors us word of even above his own name, if we do that, God will do whatever
- 9:10he wants to do, add to the church, grow it, you know, whatever we, you know, whatever
- 9:14he wants to do.
- 9:15He's a fan.
- 9:16Who's in control?
- 9:17Who's the Lord?
- 9:18He's the Lord.
- 9:19And we're a service of the most high and what a blessing and a privilege to be able to
- 9:24do that, you know.
- 9:25I think something you said reminded me of just the fact that we are in desperate need of
- 9:31more godly men, strong leaders and I should emphasize strong biblical leaders and teachers
- 9:39and pastors and what do you sense with the younger generations?
- 9:44Because we know what the Barnard research says.
- 9:47We know that we're, you know, the biblical worldviews is the worst it's ever been in
- 9:52our country, even in the church when it comes to pastors.
- 9:54Do you see any change where it might reverse course or what, what, what do you see as, as
- 10:00a pastor that's been in ministry for so many years?
- 10:03Well, I think we, we have to reach these kids.
- 10:06I mean, again, that's one of the reasons why I'm on TikTok.
- 10:10You know, it's the simplicity, you know, if we just get the simple truth, I mean, I work
- 10:16with young people from time to time.
- 10:17I got the part time job and it's great, you know, to be there and to be able to talk
- 10:22with them and, you know, big part of ministry is listening, listening to their listening
- 10:27to what's going on with them and the struggles they have and a lot of, a lot of the struggles
- 10:32they have aren't much different.
- 10:34The struggles I had when I was 18 years older, whatever.
- 10:37And so we're able, but yet we have the background of the experience.
- 10:40And then we got, of course, we got the wonderful foundation of the Word of God where we're
- 10:43able to minister to them, break it down into a language that they can understand.
- 10:48I mean, that's really what it's about.
- 10:51You know, young people don't seem to be going into the church so much.
- 10:56So we got to go out of the church and go, go reach them.
- 11:00And certainly we know that the church is a wonderful thing.
- 11:03I mean, we need to not forsake the assembly together.
- 11:06We know that we're built up through the teaching of the Word of God sitting.
- 11:09You know, again, faith comes by hearing, hearing of the Word of God and the teaching.
- 11:14And of course, that word, by the way, in the, in the, in the Greek is, is that a ramah,
- 11:18you know, so it's the, it's the Word of God, the Logos, and then the Spirit of God through
- 11:22the pastor, you know, bringing it out again, so the, so to make it clear and understandable.
- 11:29That's our job.
- 11:30And as you, as you know, David, man, I mean, Word of God is like a, just like a refreshment.
- 11:36It's like living water.
- 11:37And once you, you taste it and you drink of it, men, it's satisfied.
- 11:41There's nothing else that satisfied is like the Word of God.
- 11:44What gets in the way, you know, our culture, men, everything's getting in the way.
- 11:48I mean, even our, even the very phone that we're, you know, that we have TikTok on.
- 11:53I mean, you can sit, I mean, I don't know about you, but I mean, there's been times
- 11:56that I've got a TikTok and the next thing, you know, that 30 minutes and a half hour,
- 12:0040 minutes of his past, why don't I go, what am I looking at all this, because it's
- 12:05that entertainment mentality that we're all prone to.
- 12:10And it takes a little, it requires a little bit of discipline, you know, a word that,
- 12:14I don't know, a lot of people like that word, but discipline's an important word, you
- 12:18know, it's setting aside, you know, the things that are not as necessary important.
- 12:25And it's like going to the end, who likes to work out, but you sure like the results
- 12:30are working out, you know, you like to, you like to be strong and buffed in all those
- 12:34kinds of things, but it takes the right diet, proper nutrition, and, you know, discipline,
- 12:42you know, saying no to certain things and saying yes to others.
- 12:45And that's what we love about the Word of God.
- 12:47It's all there, everything we need for, for righteousness and good living and being strong.
- 12:54It's all right there in the Word of God.
- 12:56And that's, that's my heart in trying to, trying to convey that to other people.
- 13:01You know, that's my passion.
- 13:03And as we know, between one quarter and one third of the word is Bible prophecy, we're
- 13:10going to, we're going to take a break in a minute.
- 13:12And when we come back, we're going to talk about Psalm one and Psalm two.
- 13:15That was part of the message you gave earlier this year at the Great Lakes Prophecy Conference.
- 13:20So we're going to talk a little bit about that.
- 13:22But I want to make sure people see behind you where you're positioned.
- 13:26They can't see the Israel flag.
- 13:28So I want to make sure people can see that.
- 13:31And I just, there it is.
- 13:32You want to just move just for a second.
- 13:33There it is.
- 13:34He's proud to support Israel.
- 13:35Now Ed, man, a quick question before the break, are you surprised that there's such a,
- 13:42it's an apparent lack of support in the church for Israel?
- 13:46And is that a direct result of misunderstanding Bible prophecy?
- 13:51Absolutely.
- 13:52Absolutely.
- 13:53It's, again, it's, it's, it's teaching sermons and, and, and coming from theological bands
- 14:00rather than just teaching the word of God.
- 14:01And I don't look at myself or don't want you to want to think of myself as a theologian,
- 14:05but I want to be a legalist.
- 14:06I want to be a person that I know the Bible, I share the Bible.
- 14:10The whole council of God, you know, because if you go to theology, you got, you're polarized
- 14:15one side of the other, but with the Bible, it's straight down the middle.
- 14:18You get it all, you know, we're not cow, we're not Calvinists, and we're not all,
- 14:22on many us, we're, we're, we're, we're Calvinists, you know, we're, we're down the middle, you
- 14:26know, we, because the Bible says it all, right?
- 14:29Yeah.
- 14:30There's a balance there.
- 14:31What's the balance we want?
- 14:32Well, it's, it's the word of God and it's, and it's the spirit of God that makes it
- 14:35evident in our lives, you know?
- 14:36Amen.
- 14:37So, friends, we're, we're, we're a pastor, Ed Yarek, we'll be right back on World
- 14:41View Matters.
- 14:42Today's show is brought to you by Harbinger's Daily.

- 15:03that might be, have them jump on board, email us, World View Matters at FPEUSA.org, or
- 15:11go to our website worldviewmatters.tv.
- 15:14Pastor Ed's YouTube channel is under Pastor Ed Yarek, you spell it like Y-E-A-R-A-C-K.
- 15:22There he is.
- 15:23And he puts out all kinds of short videos that you can watch and share and especially
- 15:28they're, they're a benefit for those with extremely low or limited attention span.
- 15:32So Ed, let's jump right into contrasting the righteous and the wicked and that's Psalm
- 15:381.
- 15:39Psalm 2, I always love this because it helps us understand this globalist push against
- 15:46the biblical world view because it's ultimately against Jesus Christ as Lord.
- 15:51And so start with Psalm 1, whatever you want to share, we'll just talk about the scriptures
- 15:55and walk people through it.
- 15:57He said I chose it for the prophecy conference and the title was, you know, what is prophecy
- 16:03and what's the purpose of prophecy?
- 16:06Well, quite frankly, it's to keep us in the game.
- 16:09Again, you know, asserted the Bible is prophecy and what's it talk about right in the
- 16:15beginning?
- 16:16Blessed is the man, right?
- 16:17That doesn't walk with the counsel and God, they're standing with the way of sinners.
- 16:20And then you jumped to verse 2 and says, but it's delight is what?
- 16:23It's in the law of the Lord and in his law does he meditate day and night.
- 16:26And of course, the whole idea of being like a tree planted by the rivers of water and
- 16:32being being fed and being nourished.
- 16:36And that's a beautiful picture of what the Word of God is to us.
- 16:39And I'm from Arizona.
- 16:41You look out in Arizona and in the desert and you see a row of green trees in all this
- 16:48barren desert.
- 16:49Well, you know that there's a river bottom there because there's water there.
- 16:53And it's the same with our lives where I mean, we live in kind of a barren and dry land
- 16:58quite frankly, especially in our culture today.
- 17:01And then the only thing that's going to keep us nourished and alive is the Word of God.
- 17:07And I've found that true in my own life.
- 17:09I know you have David.
- 17:10I mean, we need that.
- 17:12And so, but again, it says in the contrast is the young God there not so, but they're
- 17:16like chaff blown by the wind.
- 17:18So instead of being rooted and grounded in something solid that has meaning and purpose
- 17:23and hope, they're blown away by whatever kind of thing comes down the pike.
- 17:28And of course, we know there's so much coming down the pike right now.
- 17:33And so, and then you jump in in chapter two, you know, how's this keep us in this gate
- 17:39in the game?
- 17:40Well, first of all, it's talking about the blessings of staying in the Word of God,
- 17:45the prophetic scripture.
- 17:46And then the chapter two talks about future events that, you know, you know, quite frankly,
- 17:54it hasn't, it hasn't, a lot of it hasn't happened yet.
- 17:57But it gives us the background and the flavor of why the, you know, why the evil and wickedness
- 18:05it goes on.
- 18:06Why did the heath and rage and people imagine a vain saying in there, setting themselves
- 18:10against the rulers and they take counsel against the Lord?
- 18:14And of course, to us, that's crazy.
- 18:16Knowing the Bible, we're like, who's wanting to come against God?
- 18:19That's crazy.
- 18:20Yet, you know, in our humanity, I mean, we all that propensity to do that.
- 18:25But then the world system is definitely doing that.
- 18:28We see that in it and just, I mean, it's 3D right now, you know, with, you look at what's
- 18:33going on in Washington, you look what's going on in the Middle East and everything else.
- 18:36It's just, it's crazy.
- 18:38And, but yet the comfort that comes in this passage, you know, not only, you know, the
- 18:44exhortation about sticking and keeping your roots into the water of the Word, but then
- 18:49it's, it's, it's, was it say it, it talks about Jesus Christ.
- 18:54He said, it says, I will set my kin, verse 6, upon my holy hill of Zion.
- 19:02And I will declare that you create the Lord is sent.
- 19:04You are my son this day.
- 19:05But I've got to, we know this prophecy of Jesus Christ.
- 19:09And of course, this is yet future.
- 19:11Well, he's going to set us king where mountain Zion, well, that's beautiful.
- 19:15Of course, we got the Israel flag back there, but the fact of the matter is Israel became
- 19:19a nation, you know, May 14th, 1948, wow, what a surprise.
- 19:23That's ever happened in the history of, for any country of people that has been dispersed
- 19:28and, and just been from a land and here they are back.
- 19:31Well, we know that our Messiah has to come back and he's going to rule and reign in Israel.
- 19:36What's going to happen?
- 19:37Well, we got to have a rapture of the church.
- 19:39We got to have a seven year tribulation.
- 19:41And then Jesus comes back with all of the saints there in, in Revelation 19, this clear
- 19:46is day, and then he's going to set up his kingdom and he's going to sit on the throne
- 19:50of David.
- 19:51Isaiah 9, 6 and 7 talks about that as well, you know, it'll be, it'll be his kingdom and
- 19:56the zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this.
- 19:58So what come, I mean, that's amazing comfort, you know, well, what, you know, with everything
- 20:04that's going on, and I think that, you know, when we went through the whole situation
- 20:09in 2019 and 20 with this, you know, disease or whatever it was in the situation, I won't
- 20:17say so much more than that, but, but it blew us all the way, man, quite frankly.
- 20:23And I'm, I mean, again, we've been studying prophecy for what, 30 some years, but here's
- 20:27the deal.
- 20:28We'd never expected things to come so fast and in such a weird way, and it took us by
- 20:34surprise.
- 20:35And so quite frankly, you know, that, that was really the ministry for this, this passage
- 20:41for me was, yeah, what are you worried about?
- 20:44Yeah, I mean, there's, what's the worry about?
- 20:46You stay in the word, you stick, you stick in, you know, with Lord Jesus and in His word.
- 20:51And by the way, you know the rest of the story, he's going to rule in rain in Isaiah and
- 20:57we're all going to rule with him that those that are in Christ Jesus that are bought, blood
- 21:02and bought saints.
- 21:03We're going to rule in rain with him.
- 21:04So that's pretty comforting, you know, amen.
- 21:07And I love the way these flow too.
- 21:09And we have to remember that these weren't all number, they didn't number the chapter in
- 21:14verse when they wrote them.
- 21:15So I love the way verse six in Psalm one flows into Psalm two.
- 21:21It says, for the Lord knows the righteous and that's comforting to us.
- 21:25And then also if we were to be honest and admit the next phrase is also comforting, but
- 21:31the way of the wicked will perish.
- 21:34Yeah.
- 21:35Well, you know, I love people to go to heaven, but I'm glad that the way of the wicked is
- 21:39going to perish.
- 21:40But when it goes right into Psalm two verse one, so why are the nations in an uproar?
- 21:47And we see that today.
- 21:48This is so prophetic.
- 21:50Why are the nations in an uproar?
- 21:52And the people devising a vain thing and the kings of the earth are taking their stand.
- 21:57Their rulers are counseling together against the Lord and his anointed.
- 22:03And it's eye opening.
- 22:05If we know the Lord, students of the Bible, we understand Jesus, King of Kings, Lord of
- 22:12Lords.
- 22:13And when he returns, it's not going to be on a donkey, right?
- 22:18We understand what this means.
- 22:19Yeah, go ahead.
- 22:20And for example, I mean, it's amazing because this first coming, he came as a humble servant,
- 22:26right?
- 22:27And he went to the cross and gave his blood to wash away all our sins, a gift, a free gift,
- 22:34right?
- 22:35Well, when he comes back again, Revelation 19, we're going to see him Revelation 19 11.
- 22:39And guess what?
- 22:40He's going to have blood splattered on his garments, but that's not going to be his blood.
- 22:44The idea is he's coming back as the reigning king that he is, you know?
- 22:49And so, you know, my suggestion to anybody who's listening is my goodness, you receive
- 22:54Jesus now.
- 22:55Again, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess it, Jesus Christ is Lord.
- 22:59I'll tell you what.
- 23:00In this side of heaven, it's a whole lot better if you do it now than wait till you're
- 23:04forced to do it.
- 23:05And of course, you know, eternal punishment comes after that.
- 23:09So, amen.
- 23:10What do you think about the false teaching?
- 23:12And I think this would be under the category of universalism that you will get a second
- 23:16chance.
- 23:17Everyone's going to make it to heaven.
- 23:18If you don't do it in this life, don't worry about it when it comes to that time.
- 23:23And that's like right out of the pit of hell.
- 23:25That's such deception, isn't it?
- 23:27Absolutely.
- 23:28I mean, you know, we die and then come to judgment.
- 23:33So what does that mean?
- 23:34I mean, what's second chance?
- 23:35The Bible doesn't talk about, I mean, only, I mean, the first Bible is very clear about
- 23:39all kinds of second chances, but before you die, after you die, you've already, your fate
- 23:46is sealed.
- 23:48And so that's, you know, that's, those are nice thinking.
- 23:52That's a great humanist kind of way to handle things.
- 23:56But you can't get past the fact that Jesus Christ, who is God the Son, had to be persecuted
- 24:05and had to go to that cross and die in our place, which tells me, tells me just how wicked
- 24:13our hearts and our sin is to him.
- 24:15You know, the heart is deceitfully wicked above all things who could know it.
- 24:19And so that's every man.
- 24:22And I think that it's so important for us to come to that, that, that, you know, recognize
- 24:26the fact that God himself had to come and die in our place in order to pay the just judgment
- 24:34for our sin.
- 24:35And if we're going to reject that, I mean, what, what more does he have to offer us?
- 24:39There's no second chance after, you know, and, and by the way, as you know, the description
- 24:44is very clear that the, that the spirit of God goes about, you know, by everyone to convict
- 24:51of sin, righteousness and judgment.
- 24:53So everybody, I believe, has an opportunity.
- 24:55I mean, look what's happening in Iran in Persia.
- 24:58People are getting visions and seeing Jesus and they're coming to Christ.
- 25:02We know in the, in the, in the tribulation, the seven year tribulation, there's going
- 25:06to be, I mean, he's, he's going to send two witnesses in Jerusalem.
- 25:11There's going to be 144,000 witnesses.
- 25:13And then there's going to be angels flying with the everlasting gospel because Jesus, it's
- 25:17a, that, that the, that the gospel, and it says at Matthew 24, the gospel is going to
- 25:21go up to the, in the entire world, well, when is that going to be?
- 25:25Well, obviously, we haven't quite done that, done our job yet, but that's going to happen.
- 25:31God himself is going to do it in the tribulation, you know?
- 25:34So Ed, we've just got two minutes left, less than two minutes.
- 25:37Just want to make sure we get these last two verses in and then you can, we can give
- 25:40your final comments where it says, take warning or judges of the earth, worship the Lord
- 25:46with reverence and rejoice with trembling.
- 25:50Do homage to the Son that he may not become angry and you perish in the way.
- 25:56And then the final verse for his wrath may soon be kindled.
- 26:00How blessed are all those who take refuge in him.
- 26:04There's that balance again.
- 26:06Go ahead and share.
- 26:08Well, the Lord of the fear, and of course we know the beginning, the beginning of wisdom
- 26:13is fear of the Lord.
- 26:14I mean, it's so important to understand these God, and there's, and there's a great contrast.
- 26:21And then, you know, you know, rejoice with trembling and then it says kiss the son, embrace
- 26:27the son.
- 26:28I mean, the word really means to embrace him.
- 26:30And I think of really, that is the key right there earlier on it talks about the Lord
- 26:36and knows the way of the righteous.
- 26:38It's interesting that that word know there is yada in the Hebrew means it's an intimate
- 26:42knowledge.
- 26:43It's a knowledge that Adam knew even conceived.
- 26:46And we're to know the son, we're not in, of course, the, the scripture is clear about
- 26:51how we're to know the Lord, you know, yada intimately, and it's intimate relationship.
- 26:57And that therefore, kiss the son and embrace him.
- 27:00You need to do that every day, you know, we get up in the morning, we need that we need
- 27:04to rise and, and greet the Lord in, in walk with the Lord.
- 27:07It's a wonderful thing.
- 27:08I mean, we can't, we can't, we can't do the Christian thing on our inner own strength.
- 27:13There's no way.
- 27:15After have the power of Holy Spirit, we have to walk with Jesus, we have to be followers
- 27:19of Jesus Christ.
- 27:20Amen.
- 27:21And as we said earlier, we never retired, it doesn't matter how old we are, but Pastor
- 27:26Ed Yereck, and you can get him on YouTube and just check out more information on him.
- 27:30We appreciate your time today, brother, God bless you and your ministry, and just make
- 27:36sure we stay in touch, okay?
- 27:38You bet.
- 27:39God bless you, David.
- 27:40Thanks, brother.
- 27:41Thanks, brother.
- 27:42Hey, friends, thanks for sharing the show.
- 27:43God bless you, and as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
