Transcript
- 0:00July 22, Anno Domini 1587, the Hopewell anchored off Roanoke Island.
- 0:12A new beginning dawns upon this land.
- 0:15After a long voyage, we have finally set foot on Roanoke Island, a company of souls eager
- 0:20to build a life and establish a true English settlement.
- 0:24Families, tradesmen, and hopeful hearts have arrived ready to cultivate the soil and forge
- 0:30a future.
- 0:31The remnants of the previous attempt are visible, yet we see not despair but opportunity.
- 0:37We shall learn from their endeavors and build anew, stronger, and with greater resolve.
- 0:42May this venture prove more fruitful and enduring than last.
- 0:45The work begins with the morning light.
- 0:48John White, Governor.
- 1:15Alright, where we last left off, you guys had just arrived, hoping to find the shed where
- 1:21the generator to the camp is kept.
- 1:23And sure enough, you found that generator shed.
- 1:26And you found the generator inside had been completely disconnected to the cable that
- 1:32powers and runs through the entirety of the camp.
- 1:35Who disconnected it?
- 1:36That's what you wondered to yourself before you heard a low, mournful moan, turning and
- 1:43found yourselves face to face with none other than Bigfoot itself.
- 1:49Himself, himself, herself?
- 1:51Hard to say.
- 1:53Little scientific research exists about any legitimacy with Bigfoot.
- 1:59And in response to that fact, Brayden says, "Guys, is that what I think it is?"
- 2:09And Justin responds, "Yeah.
- 2:13That's Bigfoot."
- 2:16And Brayden says, "Hold on, hold on.
- 2:20I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but just clarify with you guys.
- 2:24Bigfoot's like a legend, right?
- 2:25I thought he was a legend, not real."
- 2:27Didn't you hear my campfire story, bro?
- 2:30See I also thought that was a legend.
- 2:34He is a legend.
- 2:35Oh, like a legendary.
- 2:37Oh, okay, I get it now.
- 2:39Okay, but he's real.
- 2:41Like, you know, like he exists.
- 2:42He's real.
- 2:43He's got like one of those Latin names and stuff like that.
- 2:46Yes.
- 2:47Okay.
- 2:48Bigfoot is my corness.
- 2:51Oh, okay.
- 2:52Bigfoot is my...
- 2:54Okay, so he looks upset.
- 2:58I can hit him with my baseball bat.
- 3:00Is that what we're doing?
- 3:01I feel like I'd be abusing him.
- 3:02So what do you want to just like plug that generator in?
- 3:05Maybe we just like hope this isn't a problem.
- 3:08He's not approaching us.
- 3:09And just as he says that, of course, Bigfoot takes one big-footed step towards you guys
- 3:15and he growls.
- 3:17Okay, see now that's...
- 3:19I don't know about you guys, but that sounds like aggressive behavior.
- 3:24You're...
- 3:25Soapy, Soapy Joe, you're the expert on Bigfoot, right?
- 3:29Like what are we looking at here?
- 3:31I think we're in trouble is what I think.
- 3:34Okay.
- 3:35Soapy Joe is recording the whole thing on his camera as this conversation is going on.
- 3:39He's kind of panning back.
- 3:40I was going to say, is he panning back but trying to braid in and sweep braiding and
- 3:43Bigfoot kind of going back and forth.
- 3:45Okay.
- 3:46What about the rest of you guys?
- 3:48What is everybody else doing?
- 3:49I think Justin is like peeing himself practically right now.
- 3:55He's backing away.
- 3:56He's definitely hidden behind all of you at the moment.
- 3:59Grieve is going to take more of a stunned appreciation of the events like crikey.
- 4:05This is not one, but two new species.
- 4:08That is just incredible.
- 4:11Wait, what's the second species?
- 4:13Well, that weird bear thing.
- 4:16Well, that's a new species.
- 4:18I thought that was just like some weird bear thing.
- 4:20I forget what it is called.
- 4:21It's called the scrungus.
- 4:23The scrungus.
- 4:25Scrungus bear.
- 4:26So like that's not in like science books and stuff.
- 4:30I've never heard an animal planet documentary cover the scrungus.
- 4:34Oh man.
- 4:35Okay.
- 4:36Steve Irwin or Jeff Corwin or at least one of those guys would have covered it.
- 4:39So I feel like if there's not been a documentary on it, it's got to be a new species.
- 4:45Wow.
- 4:46So this new species, both of these new species have been really aggressive.
- 4:53Does anyone want to go plug in the generator?
- 4:55Because this thing is getting closer and I'm going to have to start swinging here soon.
- 4:59Yo history man, go plug it in.
- 5:02Oh, okay.
- 5:04Does anyone have any cans of alphabet soup?
- 5:08Why would we need that?
- 5:10I heard Bigfoot's are rather fond of the stuff.
- 5:14No we do not have.
- 5:15Well, I'm rather fond of it and quite peckish.
- 5:19I saw some spaghetti-os in the kitchen pantry.
- 5:21It's kind of a mono alphabet soup.
- 5:25All right guys, I'm taking a swing and Brandon walks over and he takes a swing at Bigfoot
- 5:30and the two start battling it out.
- 5:33What are you guys doing?
- 5:36Spaghetti-os aren't exactly what I'm going for right now.
- 5:39I'm body peckish for letters if you don't mind.
- 5:42All right, so be Joe, just go and plug it in.
- 5:44Okay, so you go and you reach down to start picking up the cable and as you do, you see
- 5:49Bigfoot glances over at you and he starts to like, he gets down on all fours and he starts coming at you like he's completely ignored and bypassed around Brayden and he starts to rush towards you.
- 6:03He still plugs it in.
- 6:04Okay, so you just continue to plug it in.
- 6:06I'm going to have you do an act under pressure.
- 6:10Is that what's cool?
- 6:12Yes.
- 6:13Nine?
- 6:14Oh sorry, eight.
- 6:15Do you want to do an additional action or do a simultaneous action while this is taking
- 6:20place?
- 6:21Um, potentially what are you thinking of doing?
- 6:25Because I'm pretty sure I have a big jar of pepper.
- 6:28Okay, I'm going to make it.
- 6:30Here's what I'll say.
- 6:31Usually if you're like doing something that would at the same time as another hunter or
- 6:35something of that effect, it would kind of be, it would all of them give him advantage.
- 6:39Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:40So this will be a help out.
- 6:41Okay.
- 6:42So if you're like, wow, as, as Bigfoot's rushing towards Sobie Joe, you pull out this
- 6:47thing of pepper.
- 6:48I'm going to have you do a help out, which you also roll cool for.
- 6:52And if you're successful, that's going to turn his eight into a nine, which is a soft
- 6:57success.
- 6:58That's how he rolled a nine.
- 6:59Well, I rolled it.
- 7:00I rolled a nine, but my minus one on cool brought it down to an eight.
- 7:03Which is so weird.
- 7:04Yeah.
- 7:05You're like a big streamer.
- 7:06But I guess, I don't know.
- 7:07I mean, I thought cool isn't like hip, so I didn't really.
- 7:10Fair enough.
- 7:11I think I may have thrown the pepper in your face.
- 7:13That was a six.
- 7:14Well, thankfully, when you try to help out, it's kind of just like an all or nothing.
- 7:18You either succeed or you fail.
- 7:20You take out your pepper and you go to throw it at Bigfoot.
- 7:24Um, you, I like the idea that you, you pop open one of the little, so it's like a two
- 7:28sided opening, right?
- 7:31So that you can do one side is like a lot more versus a little spring.
- 7:35Exactly.
- 7:36Exactly.
- 7:37And you pop out the sprinkle side and you just like thrust forward and just this tiny
- 7:40little puff of pepper just comes spouting out from your container and it rushes past
- 7:46you ignoring it entirely.
- 7:48So be Joe, you only managed to get an eight, which is still a soft success.
- 7:54I guess I don't know why I was, was thinking it'd be anything more.
- 7:58Here's what I'm going to do.
- 7:59I'm going to say that you have a hard choice.
- 8:00You can plug this in right now, but Bigfoot's going to slam into you.
- 8:05I was wanting to use protect somewhere.
- 8:07Okay.
- 8:08When I saw this thing charging at him.
- 8:10I was just kind of waiting to an opportunity to say something.
- 8:12Yeah.
- 8:13Yeah.
- 8:14Yeah.
- 8:15That's fine.
- 8:16Well, affect your choice here.
- 8:17Okay.
- 8:18So, uh, you're going to roll your, yeah, he's going to yell, um, watch out.
- 8:20Soaps Joe.
- 8:21Soap.
- 8:22And he pulls out his, he used the full name pulls out that wire, a hit iron and he goes
- 8:27to smack this thing when he throw his house.
- 8:30Okay.
- 8:31Perfect.
- 8:32I was actually hoping for a failure.
- 8:33I failed.
- 8:34Okay.
- 8:35So he goes, oh, watch out.
- 8:36Soaps Joe.
- 8:37Soap.
- 8:38And it, whoop, whoop, whoop.
- 8:39Yeah.
- 8:40That's exactly what I was going to say.
- 8:42So yes.
- 8:43He swims wildly and I think he smacks, uh, grieve in like the side of the, well, you,
- 8:50yeah, you don't hit grieve, but, but grieve's puff of pepper is what causes you to sneeze
- 8:56and get distracted.
- 8:57He has to back off as he starts wildly flailing his golf club in that.
- 9:04So with everybody having made some attempt to either help or protect, um, I'm going
- 9:08to turn back over to soapy Joe.
- 9:10All right.
- 9:11So this is your hard choice.
- 9:12You can plug it in right now and be done with that element or you can get out of the
- 9:17way and avoid taking any harm.
- 9:19I will plug it in.
- 9:20You're plugging it in.
- 9:21All right.
- 9:22You plug it.
- 9:23Okay.
- 9:24You've got, oh, well that's probably why is, is you're holding the cable in one hand.
- 9:29The hero.
- 9:30There you go.
- 9:31Oh, okay.
- 9:32Okay.
- 9:33No man doesn't die.
- 9:34Caravan can't die.
- 9:35It's a really interesting footage of you selfie style with the camera.
- 9:38You've got the plug in your hand.
- 9:40What are you saying to the camera?
- 9:41You know, we're plugging this thing.
- 9:43I can't, I don't know what it's for.
- 9:45And by the way, this, this episode of memories grinds up a quantum beat.
- 9:49You get slammed by bigfoot for too harm and you get knocked back to the edge or the back
- 9:56wall of this little shed, um, hitting the side of it, landing on the ground, possibly
- 10:02having maybe some broken ribs or something at this point.
- 10:06You just got slammed and you see bigfoot.
- 10:10He looks furious and he looks down at the generator and he starts grabbing at the cable.
- 10:15Now he's not grabbing it where you're supposed to.
- 10:17You know, he's breaking the rules of using electricity, which is he's grabbing the cable,
- 10:22maybe like two feet away from where the plug is and he's trying to pull it out.
- 10:26But of course he's like angled ever so slightly.
- 10:29He's pulling against it.
- 10:30He might break it before he even pulls the plug out.
- 10:34What are you guys doing?
- 10:35I'm writhing and pain.
- 10:36Yeah, you're writhing and pain.
- 10:37That's totally fair.
- 10:38What about?
- 10:39Yeah, I was going to say.
- 10:40Not going to lie, I was kind of half open, but he was going to swing and it was going
- 10:44to be like Tom and Jerry where it just, you hit some on the top.
- 10:47It's just the perfect outliner rule.
- 10:49Yeah.
- 10:50I suppose Grieve is probably at this point going to be loading his net launcher.
- 10:54Okay.
- 10:55Because he again is usually more for the realm of capture rather than kill.
- 11:00Sure.
- 11:01Totally fair.
- 11:02So you've dropped your pepper, your Costco sized pepper and you start pulling on the
- 11:09reload for your net gun.
- 11:11You currently have two nets.
- 11:13You take it, you point it over at Bigfoot who's pulling and pulling and pulling and
- 11:18you fire your shot, do a kick some ass so you're rolling with tough.
- 11:23Oh no.
- 11:24That is a four.
- 11:25That is a four.
- 11:26That is a failure.
- 11:27You go to fire your net gun.
- 11:30You blast the net comes flying out of this device and just as it does, Braden comes running
- 11:38up with his baseball bat covered in nails poking out the perfect weapon that could have possibly
- 11:44bludgeoned and gored Bigfoot to death, but instead he is knocked down and tackled onto
- 11:52the ground by this net coming out of your gun.
- 11:54Well shucks.
- 11:55And now you have one net left in your net gun.
- 11:58Martin Fresh, you are recovering, you're wiping your nose, recovering from your sneezing fit
- 12:05and you see the scene before you.
- 12:06What are you doing?
- 12:07Oh, hey, that's not yours.
- 12:11And he runs over to where the Bigfoot is pulling the cord and he grabs right in front of its
- 12:16hands and he's proceeding to pull the opposite direction of the Bigfoot.
- 12:21He's pulling it and he's trying to pull it and he tries to funk him on the head.
- 12:30Yeah, yeah, his hand and his fist and tries to pull it away from him.
- 12:34You're mostly trying to get the cable out of his hands, right?
- 12:36You're not really trying to do damage per se.
- 12:38He's just pulling the opposite of the Bigfoot.
- 12:42I'm just saying when you said you bonked his head, but you're not.
- 12:44He's trying to get it looked up.
- 12:45Okay.
- 12:46He would not do damage in the slightest.
- 12:48I'm going to call this act under pressure then, which if there's one thing that we've
- 12:51learned in the past from playing the monster of the week, it's that act under pressure
- 12:55often gets overused, but that's just because it's kind of for that purpose.
- 12:59A nine.
- 13:00Okay.
- 13:01Here's what I'm going to say.
- 13:02If you pull this out of Bigfoot's hands, obviously he's going to be upset and he's going
- 13:10to take a swing at you, but the cable, you've essentially distracted him from the cable and
- 13:15given everybody else enough time to recover, but you're going to take some damage.
- 13:20Otherwise, you can let go of the cable and let him have it and you won't take any damage.
- 13:26That's the decision you have in this moment.
- 13:28Martin's never lost that tug-of-war and he doesn't intend on losing now.
- 13:34So you yank as hard as you can and the cable slips right out of Bigfoot's hands and he
- 13:40has dropped it completely.
- 13:42He looks at you and he glares and he lets out a low growl as he lunges forward with
- 13:49his massive fists, almost equal size to his giant feet and slams a punch right into you.
- 13:56You take too harm.
- 13:57Take that, Uncle Chest!
- 14:02But even as you kind of crumple to a sitting position next to the generator, you're still
- 14:07holding the cable in your hands.
- 14:09So you have certainly won this game of tug-of-war.
- 14:12Justin in the back is, he's staying in the back.
- 14:17He is absolutely terrified.
- 14:19With that being said, I'm going to say, "Sopi Joe, you managed to pick yourself up off the
- 14:23ground at this point.
- 14:24You've got your camera back in hand.
- 14:26What are you doing?"
- 14:27He's just laying on the ground and filming this whole thing.
- 14:32He is not interested in getting back into the farm.
- 14:34Right now he's just kind of assessing his body, seeing like, "Is there anything that's
- 14:39not broken?"
- 14:40Okay, fair enough.
- 14:42Okay, so we'll jump over to Grieve.
- 14:45Grieve, you still have your net gun in hand if you want to try to make use of it again.
- 14:50You've got one net left or you could do something else if you have another idea.
- 14:53At this point, he's kind of given up on the net gun.
- 14:56So he's kind of assessing his surroundings.
- 14:58Is there any makeshift projectiles or weapons or can of beans?
- 15:06Yes, exactly.
- 15:07Sure.
- 15:08Given where you're at, well, let me ask you this.
- 15:11How willing are you to hurt Bigfoot?
- 15:14Because you could theoretically pick up the baseball bat that Brayden dropped because
- 15:18he's now trapped in his net.
- 15:20You could theoretically help Brayden out of the net and then Brayden can do what he
- 15:24does.
- 15:25Yeah, I think he is more of the compassionate type who after seeing his failure with the
- 15:32net gun he would probably be more prone to immediately resolve that issue and untangle
- 15:39Brayden.
- 15:40Okay, so you're going to go and rush over to the net and pull out his little, "Well,
- 15:45is there a chance that I can salvage said net?"
- 15:48Yeah, I would say so.
- 15:49He's going to try to do that.
- 15:51Okay, sounds good.
- 15:52Let's call this a "technically protect somebody."
- 15:56Normally I would say help out, but it technically says to help out another...
- 16:00Well, I guess he is another hunter.
- 16:02I will give you the option.
- 16:05Do you want to use it as protect somebody, which will go off your tough or help out,
- 16:08which will go off your cool?
- 16:09Arguably, he is another hunter currently, even though he's an NPC.
- 16:13It's the same plus for either of those.
- 16:15Okay.
- 16:16Go help out.
- 16:17Okay.
- 16:18Actually, help out probably has fewer ramifications if you fail, actually.
- 16:22So yeah, that's probably the best bet.
- 16:24An eight.
- 16:25An eight?
- 16:26Okay.
- 16:27You go to help him out, but in doing so, you have obviously set yourself up as the only
- 16:32standing individual for Bigfoot to potentially target at the moment.
- 16:37And of course, he does.
- 16:39He sees you helping Brayden.
- 16:40He sees Brayden's giant bat with spikes and stuff that he was swinging at Bigfoot just
- 16:46moments ago.
- 16:47And Bigfoot decides, "I got to stop this guy."
- 16:49Or rather in Bigfoot's beak.
- 16:52So he starts to move towards you.
- 16:54He's not attacking just yet, but he is focused on you as you look over and you see him coming
- 17:00towards you as you hurriedly trying to get Brayden out of the net.
- 17:05You are making a significant amount of progress and you haven't torn the net at all.
- 17:09Is anybody else interested in doing anything at the moment?
- 17:12Is, for the most part, is the Bigfoot leaving Soapy Joe alone?
- 17:16Yeah.
- 17:17Okay.
- 17:18He wants to use Will Fix It in Post.
- 17:21Okay.
- 17:22You can use anything you can conceivably have recorded as evidence for investigative mystery,
- 17:26allowing you to check previous interviews, attack sites, and so on.
- 17:30So I'd like to have him pull up on his little camcorder, like previous clips of this Bigfoot
- 17:36attack to see if he can find, like, any way that there is a pattern, a pattern, like a
- 17:41dark souls villain.
- 17:43Like, is there an opening?
- 17:44Is there a weakness?
- 17:45Okay.
- 17:46Anything in that nature?
- 17:48Okay.
- 17:49Sounds good.
- 17:50Yeah.
- 17:51I would say, so you're doing investigative mystery.
- 17:54So you're all with Sharp?
- 17:55With Sharp.
- 17:56And then basically on your result, you can ask me questions.
- 18:0010.
- 18:0110?
- 18:02Wow.
- 18:03Okay.
- 18:04So you get to hold two, which means you get to ask two questions.
- 18:06Any questions or is there a set list?
- 18:07There's technically a set list, but I like to make sure to emphasize to people that you
- 18:11can kind of manipulate what those questions look like based on the current situation.
- 18:16So the current questions available are what happened here?
- 18:19What sort of creature is this?
- 18:20What can it do?
- 18:22What can hurt it?
- 18:23Where did it go?
- 18:24What was it going to do?
- 18:25And what is being concealed here?
- 18:26I will ask what can hurt it?
- 18:28What can hurt it?
- 18:29Okay.
- 18:30So because of your history with Bigfoot, you immediately know, I'm going back to that
- 18:35footage of when you were actually out there searching for Bigfoot with your friends long
- 18:41before you came to the summer camp and the experience that you had there.
- 18:46And you notice as you're flipping, like kind of fast forwarding through this footage on
- 18:49your camcorder that you've never deleted because obviously that it was the most terrifying
- 18:53experience of your life.
- 18:55There's a moment where you see one of the people that was in your group brought a old
- 19:02camera.
- 19:04And when things were kind of going a little bit crazy, you remember there was a moment
- 19:08where she tried to take a picture of it and the flash on this old camera actually broke
- 19:13and popped.
- 19:14And there was a little bit of like sort of a fiery explosion that came out and there
- 19:17was the Bigfoot that you guys originally saw was like on top of you guys.
- 19:22And you watched as it kind of hesitated and backed up when this happened.
- 19:26And that sparks a possible idea of what might keep you safe, might be a weakness to this
- 19:33Bigfoot.
- 19:34Okay.
- 19:35Okay.
- 19:36And then you do have one other question.
- 19:37I think you can technically save it too.
- 19:40Can I pocket that?
- 19:42Yeah.
- 19:43I'm going to say you can pocket that and pull that out a little bit later.
- 19:45Theoretically still retaining around Bigfoot in this situation.
- 19:49Right.
- 19:50Right.
- 19:51He'll just kind of yell out, "Fire!
- 19:52He doesn't like fire!"
- 19:53I'm going to say if you just stop at fire, that's going to, that's kind of broad.
- 19:59Fire!
- 20:00Throw or shoot something at him.
- 20:02Okay.
- 20:03So you shout out fire to the rest of the group.
- 20:04I'm going to, do you have anything?
- 20:06Do I see anything with a giant cartoon fire symbol on that?
- 20:11They're the cans.
- 20:13They're the two Jerry cans that you brought that have gas in them.
- 20:16My gasoline.
- 20:17Yup.
- 20:18Whoa!
- 20:19I know how to eat this.
- 20:20There wasn't that to start the generator?
- 20:21Yeah.
- 20:22Braden was worried that the gas was out.
- 20:24We thought the gas was out, but it's just unplugged.
- 20:26Right.
- 20:27Oh, one would likely hell of self start a good old fashioned bonfire and he grabs one
- 20:32of the cans and he goes running over and he just starts trying to like splash it on the
- 20:40big foot.
- 20:41On big foot?
- 20:42Yeah.
- 20:43Okay.
- 20:44He's just splashing it.
- 20:45That is definitely an act under pressure for sure.
- 20:49That is a three.
- 20:50Three big yikes.
- 20:53You rush over to start pouring gasoline on big foot and he, you've got like a poor grip
- 21:00on this, this Jerry can and maybe part of it's just because your hands are sore from
- 21:04playing tug of war with the cable.
- 21:06But big foot snatches it out of your hand, turns around and starts to pour it on you.
- 21:11Oh, that might be a beautiful source.
- 21:14And you all start to smell a very heavy scent of gasoline or as the British call it, petrol.
- 21:19Oh, good thing I brought a second can.
- 21:23It's a lame fight.
- 21:29Just like crap my balls.
- 21:32Is this a college did you go to?
- 21:35Is this a old low fat mocha frappuccino?
- 21:36See, almost, but what is it?
- 21:37What is it?
- 21:38I know I can't think of the title.
- 21:40Zoolander.
- 21:41Blue C's.
- 21:42Yeah, Zoolander.
- 21:43It's literally that beginning scene from Zoolander's low fat mocha frappuccino.
- 21:47Okay, so you're currently distracted having a gasoline fight.
- 22:08So yeah, you and Bigfoot are having a gasoline fight.
- 22:11I will say that his strength is giving him a bit of an advantage.
- 22:15These are big metal Jerry cans.
- 22:17Martin's getting covered.
- 22:19Yeah, yeah.
- 22:20Well, he's getting like spritzed.
- 22:22Yeah, he's getting a nice little spritz.
- 22:24He's getting like, he's getting like baby baptized at a Catholic church.
- 22:29Like like cologne.
- 22:32Yeah.
- 22:33Um, Grieve, you managed to get Brayden out of, thanks to the distraction, you're able
- 22:38to get Brayden out from inside the net.
- 22:41What are you doing after your friend has shouted fire?
- 22:44And then you watch as your other friend or I don't know acquaintance, whatever you guys,
- 22:48you refer to these guys too, as he starts to have a gasoline fight with Bigfoot.
- 22:53I so glad I introduced a monster with posable thumbs.
- 22:56Yeah, I do like that.
- 22:58He's just bashing me.
- 22:59He's warming it on.
- 23:01That's a beauty of Bigfoot.
- 23:02It's like he has some level of intelligence.
- 23:05I think Grieve is going to see the scene unfold and hear the fire.
- 23:10Initially, I don't see any fire, but then put two and do the other.
- 23:14There's a gigantic thing of gasoline that could turn into a catastrophe at any second.
- 23:19So he's probably just going to whisper some to just Justin.
- 23:23Mm hmm.
- 23:24Can they help open that?
- 23:25Yeah, Justin.
- 23:26Like, I think you got to get Martin out of there.
- 23:30But he's all covered in gas and somebody wants to start a fire.
- 23:33Should we double team them?
- 23:34Okay.
- 23:35Uh, which side do you want?
- 23:37I'll get right.
- 23:38You get left.
- 23:39I think I decided, I think, uh, yeah.
- 23:41So Grieve is at this point is just going to kind of, uh, try to do the whole dance
- 23:44alone distress thing from a moving train where he's kind of just going to try tackle Martin
- 23:50away from the grip of Bigfoot.
- 23:52Okay.
- 23:53So, here's what I'm going to say is that, um, by integrating Justin into this situation,
- 23:59and I want you guys to abuse this, but Justin makes a distraction for Bigfoot, giving you
- 24:06a plus one forward, basically giving you a help out, right?
- 24:10To to tackle Martin fresh out of this situation.
- 24:13So give me a, I really feel like this is a protect somebody.
- 24:18So you get a plus one to, to your tough.
- 24:21So is that in addition to my usual plus?
- 24:23Yes.
- 24:24Yeah.
- 24:25Yeah.
- 24:26So plus two.
- 24:27Yeah.
- 24:28Plus two total.
- 24:29Wow.
- 24:30Right on.
- 24:31Uh, that would be an 11.
- 24:32An 11.
- 24:33Holy cow.
- 24:34Okay.
- 24:35So I'm going to pull, uh, Martin fresh out of this gasoline fight.
- 24:38And in the process, you get to suffer, suffer less harm, which could happen.
- 24:45Um, you all impeding danger is now focused on you.
- 24:48You inflict harm on the enemy or you hold the enemy back.
- 24:52Do you have a preference on that?
- 24:54Now what I will say is that you do have the net in your hand that you just pulled Braden
- 24:59out of.
- 25:00Yes.
- 25:01Like, yeah, pairing that with my, uh, tendency to have a death wish.
- 25:04Well, at the same time, avoid any direct harm to said creature.
- 25:09I think I will probably go about and try to restrain him with my handheld net.
- 25:14I like it.
- 25:15Okay.
- 25:16So you rush over with just in creating a distraction, swinging his golf clubs back and forth, causing
- 25:22big foot to kind of glance over in his direction instead of Martin freshes.
- 25:26And in that moment, you're able to push Martin fresh out of the way and throw a portion of
- 25:32the net over big foot, capturing him and then holding that net, uh, still yourself.
- 25:38So you've got big foot restrained at the moment.
- 25:41Um, Braden is reaching into his pocket and he pulls out a Zippo lighter.
- 25:49I don't know.
- 25:50And he says, all right, just, just say the word.
- 25:53I'll throw it on him.
- 25:54Hold, hold him still.
- 25:55Hold him still.
- 25:56This is what we're doing.
- 25:57I don't know much about this.
- 25:59This feels wrong.
- 26:00I don't know, but I'll do it.
- 26:01I'll do it if this is the way we're going.
- 26:03Martin, get out there and then sell this rod.
- 26:06Well here, you're already pushed out of the way, technically speaking.
- 26:09Well, he pushed you out of the way.
- 26:10He's still up.
- 26:11He's holding the net right now.
- 26:13Yeah.
- 26:14Yeah.
- 26:15Keeping big foot, but whatever the case, you're out of the way enough and, uh, Braden
- 26:18tosses the, the Zippo lighter into the air.
- 26:22You watch it in slow motion as it spins and then it hits the net and big foot trapped
- 26:28inside catching fuel of one of the, of a little bit of the spritz of gasoline on big
- 26:34foot and it quickly takes to the fur, that thin fur on big foot until the entire net
- 26:41practically is just in flames as big foot from inside is screaming horribly, flailing
- 26:47his arms and legs about, uh, come almost completely coated in flames at this moment,
- 26:53giving you guys an opportunity to potentially escape or whatever it is that you guys want
- 26:58to do.
- 26:59Well, at the very least, soapy Joe is going to peel himself off of the ground because
- 27:02there's now an active fire in the building.
- 27:04So, and an active creature on fire and the military put in creature.
- 27:07Yeah.
- 27:08So, uh, so yeah, he's going to, he's going to deal.
- 27:11He's going to get up out of there.
- 27:13I mean, you've plugged it in.
- 27:14The plug is in.
- 27:15Um, you look off into the distance and you can see the lights are now back on back at
- 27:20the, uh, campsite.
- 27:22So you have technically accomplished your mission.
- 27:23If you guys remember, uh, Braden wanted you guys to get the electricity back on because
- 27:27the supply shed has an electric lock and there's a whole bunch of cool stuff in there,
- 27:32but he wouldn't have access to it without the electricity.
- 27:34So you have the electricity now.
- 27:36Are you staying here for any reason or are you all booking it?
- 27:38Uh, no, I think if it was booming the premises, but I'm going to stand because I still have
- 27:44my other questions.
- 27:45So I'm going to do one more investigation, but that's after I leave the building.
- 27:49Okay.
- 27:50So you're out of the shed.
- 27:51Yes.
- 27:52I mean, you're still in the area.
- 27:53Do you want to ask it then?
- 27:55Yeah.
- 27:56Okay.
- 27:57Um, I will ask where did it go?
- 28:00This big foot, where does it go?
- 28:02Is it after you guys run out?
- 28:03After we run out.
- 28:04Okay.
- 28:05That's a good question.
- 28:06Um, you see it rush back deeper into the woods, uh, flailing, rolling, uh, awkwardly, especially
- 28:12rolling because it's also still tangled up in this net.
- 28:15It hasn't fully like just disintegrated from the flames yet.
- 28:18And so yeah, he's like tripping over himself.
- 28:20He's rolling.
- 28:21Thankfully, uh, you guys are on an island.
- 28:24There's a lot of sea water within the breeze and things like that.
- 28:26So he's not igniting the forest as he goes.
- 28:29Thankfully, uh, it's still pretty green here.
- 28:32There might be a couple of little spots that drip off of him as far as flames go, but he's
- 28:35not starting the forest on fire, which is good.
- 28:37Um, but you slowly see him disappear.
- 28:40Even his flaming essence disappear amongst the trees and brush.
- 28:44Well, soapy Joe is going to hobble himself to the infirmary.
- 28:48Okay.
- 28:49Sounds good.
- 28:50So you're going to hobble over to the, what did I call it?
- 28:54The recovery cabin.
- 28:55Um, you guys are all following him, I'm guessing.
- 28:58No, no.
- 28:59Martin, the dead sprinted out of that cabin, uh, when he saw the fire in Braden's hand,
- 29:06uh, because there was a trail of gasoline from.
- 29:09Oh, big foot to him.
- 29:11It's like following you.
- 29:12Yeah.
- 29:13He's running.
- 29:14Oh, no.
- 29:15Run away.
- 29:16And the frail fire just following him.
- 29:18He's dead.
- 29:19It's funny.
- 29:20So the fall, cause you're still, you're still dripping to.
- 29:24So the beast, he is a trail of fire is going, run, run, run, oh God, yeah.
- 29:31And he runs and he jumps at the fire.
- 29:33Is it the water to the giant splash.
- 29:36And then comically the whole top, all the gas rises.
- 29:40Oh, sure.
- 29:41The top of the pool starts on fire.
- 29:43And then he's like, oh no.
- 29:46He's like splashing in the water.
- 29:47He's trying to splash it away from him.
- 29:50The other side of the pool.
- 29:52He's like trying to back up.
- 29:54Yup.
- 29:55Yup.
- 29:56Backstroke away from this flaming gasoline that's coming right off on full.
- 30:00Yeah.
- 30:01And then we see a soapy Jogo recovery run.
- 30:04Yeah.
- 30:05And then you're over there.
- 30:06And then you're in the back.
- 30:07You're just here.
- 30:08Oh no.
- 30:09Oh no.
- 30:10Oh no.
- 30:11Oh no.
- 30:12Oh no.
- 30:13Oh no.
- 30:14Awesome.
- 30:15Great.
- 30:16What are you doing?
- 30:17It's probably going towards like the towel section.
- 30:19Just grab a towel.
- 30:20Oh yeah.
- 30:21Yeah.
- 30:22I think Justin and Braden help you with that.
- 30:23They both grab towels and they're just like they dip it into the pool and then they're
- 30:26just whacking the ground and anything that's on fire.
- 30:29They're just trying to whack it.
- 30:31But they also look a little confused and awkward because they're like, but the guy is in the
- 30:34pool and he's like on fire almost.
- 30:37Like I don't know.
- 30:38But eventually I think that the flames subside and the gas enough the gasoline comes off
- 30:44of you and mixes with water or whatever that it causes it to inevitably end.
- 30:49And you got you pull yourself out of the pool just as soaked as you were before but
- 30:53now with water instead of gasoline.
- 30:55And all the rest of you are just standing there holding slightly singed towels.
- 31:00Well, it wouldn't be as cold considering all the fire.
- 31:07My word man.
- 31:10It's chilly.
- 31:12Hey, where did the guy with the camera go?
- 31:15Well, I think I spotted him going to the room of recovery while I was making a desperate
- 31:22plea for survival.
- 31:23I think I saw him there too and from the looks of you, I think we better get you there as
- 31:27well.
- 31:28Before I catch the hyperbomber.
- 31:31The hyperbomber.
- 31:32Awesome.
- 31:33So you guys all head over to the recovery cabin inside.
- 31:37I mean, it's set up like sort of like a nurse's office at a school, right?
- 31:41There's some beds.
- 31:42There's like a couple of beds in there for recovery.
- 31:45There's definitely some various bandages and things along those lines.
- 31:50Maybe some rubbing alcohol, obviously for cuts and bruises or for cuts mostly.
- 31:55Whatever the case, you're able to find a handful of various medical supplies, simple medical
- 32:01supplies and you all, I guess, bandage up a bit.
- 32:05I'm guessing those who need it.
- 32:07I would say that at max, there's enough to heal up to two wounds each.
- 32:13Mostly based off of how wounds work, right?
- 32:16Not so much like, yeah, you could sit there and you could band aid your whole self up
- 32:20and look like a mummy at the end, but that's not going to make you actually better to two
- 32:24at most.
- 32:25That's what works.
- 32:26I know, I know, I'm sorry.
- 32:27That little bandage and those gunshot wounds, they're gone, they're gone.
- 32:31Banged around your end of my body.
- 32:33I don't know if I just stand with my hand hovering above them for 10 seconds.
- 32:37They'll pop right back up.
- 32:39Max help, yeah.
- 32:40Unfortunately, that's not how things work here, but like I said, you guys do heal up
- 32:44at least a little bit.
- 32:45And with that being said, Braden also finishes bandaging off a couple of cuts that he got
- 32:51mostly from the net gun.
- 32:53And he says, okay guys, now we're all good to go.
- 32:56Should we head over and get some supplies over at the supply shack?
- 33:00Should be open.
- 33:01I've got the code.
- 33:02You just need the electricity.
- 33:03So it should be good.
- 33:04What happened to the two girls that?
- 33:06Oh, I haven't seen them since the campfire.
- 33:10Did you see them come to the, I came straight to the supply shack.
- 33:12So I don't think they ever were in the supply shack.
- 33:15I'm trying to think back to the last episode.
- 33:17Yeah, no, they just, I mean, everybody ran in separate directions.
- 33:20You don't know where the girls have been.
- 33:21Yeah, that's right.
- 33:22All right.
- 33:23You guys head over to the supply shack and sure enough, you get inside and the door is,
- 33:30he punches in the coat and you hear the lock twink open up and the door swings open.
- 33:34It's kind of one of those like gate doors and you have access to some of the not just
- 33:41like available for anyone to grab supplies from the supply shack.
- 33:44Is there anything in particular that you guys are interested in getting your hands on?
- 33:51More ammunition for like more ammunition for your gun may have just a second gun.
- 33:57Here's what I'll tell you is inside.
- 33:59You don't see ammunition for your gun necessarily, but you do see some BB guns, BB guns, you
- 34:11said.
- 34:12Yes.
- 34:13Are there any games or supplies for ladder golf?
- 34:18Oh, yes.
- 34:20You want some bolas?
- 34:21Yes.
- 34:22Nice.
- 34:23When you find a couple makeshift bolas.
- 34:24Man, that fits your character so well.
- 34:25How about this for like an axe throw?
- 34:28There are axes.
- 34:29Yes.
- 34:30Specifically throwing axes.
- 34:31He'll grab a couple of those.
- 34:33Okay.
- 34:34I'd mark this stuff down as far as quantity.
- 34:36How many did he say to throwing?
- 34:39How many is probably more?
- 34:40I'm going to set a bolas.
- 34:41You get six for each three games.
- 34:45Sorry.
- 34:46Yeah.
- 34:47For each size.
- 34:48So six total.
- 34:49So you got six games over there.
- 34:50Oh, maybe he found.
- 34:52Here's what I'll say.
- 34:53Here's the names.
- 34:5412 bowls because it does zero.
- 34:56I will give you that, but also keep in mind there's how much you can carry.
- 35:00So I was going to say six makes sense.
- 35:02I personally have like literally strapped six bolas from a game of ladder golf to some
- 35:08element of my person in the past because I thought it was cool.
- 35:12And I felt cool at the moment.
- 35:14So I mean, there's that.
- 35:15You do also find nets for fishing.
- 35:21I would say you could refill your net gun if you would like.
- 35:26And the beauty of it too is that your net gun so far is suck.
- 35:30So I don't feel bad or awkward or like I'm losing out as the, the, maybe instead of the
- 35:34keeper, can I request that I just grab a couple fishing poles or there are gene pole.
- 35:40They're definitely fishing poles, gnarly, um, louers on them.
- 35:45Like these are the lures that you see that they've got some huge hooks on that.
- 35:49Since you guys are bored, like you're on an island and the ocean is right there.
- 35:53I will say absolutely.
- 35:55Now does this camp, I see that they have cabins, but do they have tents?
- 35:59They do in here.
- 36:00So we want to grab a tent.
- 36:02I'm thinking tent spikes.
- 36:03Oh, okay.
- 36:04Sure.
- 36:05Sure.
- 36:06Yeah.
- 36:07You open up a tent pack and you pull the spikes out of it and let's say you got four, four
- 36:1110 spikes, four 10 spikes.
- 36:13A hammer per hand.
- 36:15Sure.
- 36:16Absolutely all you can carry.
- 36:17Okay.
- 36:18That, that seems fair.
- 36:19Four 10 spikes and one hammer.
- 36:21And then you turn around and you see Grieve and he is just like decked out in very obscure
- 36:26gear when it comes to the idea of fighting monsters.
- 36:28But you know that thing's trying to kill us, right?
- 36:31What are you going to do with a fishing rod?
- 36:33Have you seen the hook on this thing that could take out an eyeball?
- 36:36Not that I would like to do that, but if there's a giant eyeball on this, I think he's ready
- 36:41for it.
- 36:42I think he feels compelled to harm said eyeball.
- 36:45That's right.
- 36:46Martin Fresh, what are you grabbing?
- 36:49Are there any giant thermal blankets?
- 36:51Sure.
- 36:52All right.
- 36:53I'd say there's two.
- 36:54Okay.
- 36:55Grieve is one.
- 36:56Okay.
- 36:57And he goes, oh, yeah.
- 36:58Perfect.
- 36:59Just what I need.
- 37:01And he grabs it, he wraps it around and so.
- 37:03Oh, like what?
- 37:04Feel what?
- 37:05Yeah, yeah.
- 37:06Oh, what's this hidden behind the thermal blankets?
- 37:09And he reaches back and he pulls up.
- 37:12Oh my word.
- 37:14A classic katana of an ancient.
- 37:17All right.
- 37:18Now, all right.
- 37:19Now you're pushing it.
- 37:20Master, you're love showing.
- 37:23Certainly not a katana.
- 37:25You pull out what you.
- 37:26This old ray gun.
- 37:28Oh, well, it would be loaded in functional flint.
- 37:31You pull out what you think is a ray gun and it's just like a mulch spreader.
- 37:36And you pull out what you think is a katana and it's just.
- 37:38Well, Katana, a garden hoe, he reaches back and he pulls out.
- 37:43Oh, what's this?
- 37:44Well, he wasn't this over here and he pulls out a weed whacker.
- 37:49Oh, okay.
- 37:51Weed whacker.
- 37:52Okay.
- 37:53Braden looks over at you and he says, oh, those Jerry cans.
- 37:58That was all the fuel I had.
- 38:01Oh, good.
- 38:03It's still got some in it.
- 38:05Okay.
- 38:06I wasn't sure if I use.
- 38:07Oh, you know what?
- 38:08I did refill it after we finished with our yard work today.
- 38:12So I mean, what behind the thermal blanket's breathing?
- 38:15Because I didn't want somebody messing with it.
- 38:18Well, I'm going to mess with it real good.
- 38:21Well, this is different circumstances.
- 38:23So I happened to grab my golf clubs on the way out.
- 38:26I lost all of them while I was making a dead sprint for a pool.
- 38:30And Justin says, oh, you mean these?
- 38:33He was he just holding them all?
- 38:35He's got them slung over like he's your catty.
- 38:37He says just so to just to be clear, I'm not carrying that.
- 38:40He looks exhausted, by the way.
- 38:42He's like huffing and puffing.
- 38:43He's like, oh, thanks, Justin.
- 38:48I will probably need all the.
- 38:51And I have an axe.
- 38:52I don't have axes.
- 38:54No, there's someone on the wall there.
- 38:55Could someone hand me one that looks lighter than the others?
- 38:58Here's a child safe axe and I grab him one of the small ones.
- 39:02Okay.
- 39:03You did you give him like some ninja stars?
- 39:06That's right.
- 39:07There's a giant one that's like chopping wood and like Martin Freshley can reaches for that.
- 39:15And then right before he grabs it, he moves very smaller little axes that they like give
- 39:20kids at like a throwing.
- 39:22Yup.
- 39:23Axe throwing range.
- 39:24It was like the size of your hand.
- 39:27Basically, yeah, grabs one of them and hands it to Justin.
- 39:30Go, give me a second.
- 39:33Oh, all right.
- 39:35Yeah, this is perfect.
- 39:37Thank you.
- 39:38I really appreciate that.
- 39:39And he pockets an inhaler and he holds the he takes the axe that you give him.
- 39:43Well, we got our stuff.
- 39:45So we head out to the.
- 39:46Are we going after that?
- 39:47Really?
- 39:48Where are we going now?
- 39:49The big foot ran into the woods.
- 39:51You want to chase after that big foot?
- 39:54Well, why else are we grabbing all this gear to protect ourselves?
- 40:00The best defense is a good offense.
- 40:02And just as you're discussing what you should do next, you hear a scream off in the distance.
- 40:10It sounds an awful lot like Hazel and you peek out from the now lit up supply shack and
- 40:18you see the scrungus is at the chapel and it's clawing its way at the front doors.
- 40:28August 15th, Anno Domini, 1588.
- 40:39Another turn of the season here on Roanoke.
- 40:42And despite father's continued absence, we have persevered.
- 40:46The soil, though stubborn at first, has yielded a fair bounty.
- 40:52Master Kendall has a knack for coaxing life from the earth and the corn stands tall and
- 40:57proud in the fields.
- 40:59We have even managed to strengthen the palisades, felling more timber and reinforcing the perimeter.
- 41:06It offers a measure of comfort, a sense of security against the unknown wilderness that
- 41:11surrounds us.
- 41:13Life here has settled into a rhythm of work and quiet companionship.
- 41:17The women folk tend to the gardens and the children, while the men see to the hunting
- 41:22and the fortifications.
- 41:24But even in this relative peace, there are reminders of the wildness that claims this
- 41:30land.
- 41:31Just yesterday morning, while Mistress Goodwife was out foraging for scubbinar grapes, a welcome
- 41:37sweetness in our diet, she was set upon by some manner of beast.
- 41:43It moved swiftly in with the ferocity none of us have yet encountered.
- 41:47Though she fought bravely, she sustained a nasty gash upon her arm.
- 41:52After Hughes, our surgeon, has tended to it, and she rests now, pale but thankfully alive.
- 42:01It serves as a stark reminder that even within our small haven, dangers lurk.
- 42:07The wilderness here is untamed and we must remain ever vigilant.
- 42:12We pray daily for Father's safe return and the supplies he promised.
- 42:17Until then, we must rely on our own strength and the bonds we have forged in this new land.
- 42:22May God watch over us.
- 42:26Eleanor dare.
