- 0:38SPEAKER_02: And I kind of put it, what I had left over, of my lemonade from a certain chicken place.
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: So I'm very, very happy.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: I can see, I see the cup, but I already knew.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: Is it like the end of it?
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: Is it like you know that last bit of lemonade?
- 0:57SPEAKER_02: I'm like, ooh, lemonade, wine?
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: Whoosh.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, can't go wrong.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: So I have um, I just have vodka and soda because I've had a rough week with my oven.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: I'm pretty sure the surprise is just not straight up vodka from the bottle.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: I um I've had a rough week with my oven.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Um ovens have a bad habit of talking back, don't they?
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: You know, if I could use it, I wouldn't even mind it so much.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: But I don't mind your sassy attitude if I can use you.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: I've used that a lot, actually.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Not so much the oven as the connection that was messed up, but um yeah.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: So anyway, we're drinking and we're talking, and any thoughts before we jump in?
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: I have no thoughts.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: I am thoughtless.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, great, okay.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: That'll make this easier.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Trisha Tsanaka is dead.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: This is the first hurley.
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: The title, the title, I was like, just cuts the chase.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: They're like many been trying to.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Um, we haven't had a hurley episode in in a very long time.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: I just glad that it's we're focusing on the survivors.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: I'm getting tired of the others because they make no sense.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: It's like it's one, it's just like, yeah, I don't I don't like you that much.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: So, and then you're and then you just keep you're like one big paradox.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: You're good.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's just boring.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: It's it's kind of boring.
- 2:30SPEAKER_02: The others are boring me.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: So let's go back to the survivors.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: I'm just happy that it was a hurry one.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And overall, I think this episode is pretty it was a good one.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Feel good, and just you know, like nothing really major happened, but it just it got us back to our people.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Our homies.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Our homies.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Flashback.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Around 1987, a young skinny Hurley carries tools to a Camaro that is up on blocks and opens the hood.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: His father gives him a glacier bar against his mother's wishes and tells him to start the car, even though it needs a new carburetor.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Hurley claims it's stupid, but his father tells him hope is never stupid, and you have to make your own luck.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: He then informs Hurley that their planned trip to the Grand Canyon will have to wait until he comes back from some work he has to do in Las Vegas and drives off on his motorcycle.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Did you recognize his dad?
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Hello, who doesn't know Cheech?
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Oh, I did all right.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: Um who doesn't know Cheech?
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: I remember Cheech from Back to Cheech and Chong, but yeah, like so like and everything since.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: Who doesn't know Cheech, man?
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: I mean, really.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: So it was it was nice to see him play his dad.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I like Cheech.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: 17 years later, reporter Trisha Tanaka is filming a fluff piece on how Hurley bought a controlling is interest in Mr.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Kluck's chicken shack, where he used to work.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Featuring his then boss and now employee, Randy Nations, who after this will then become Locke's boss.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: She tries to interview Hurley, but he starts to relate all of the bad luck he has had.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Trisha complains about his attitude and goes inside with her cameraman while Randy assures Hugo that everything is safe.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Suddenly, a meteorite falls from the sky, completely destroying the shack and killing Trisha and her cameraman.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Later that day, Curly laughing.
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know how to say I mean you just I mean I was like, I mean, you knew it's gonna kinda happen because of like another time, but I was like, Well, damn, there's no that they leave no room for like what ifs, and you're laughing.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: I thought I was the evil one in the group.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: I'm just I'm like picturing his face while it was happening, and then he when he walks home, when he goes home and his mother, and she's like, What happened?
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: He goes, a meteorite, or what he said, he's like, I don't know what the difference is.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Patricia Tanaka is dead.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: You're gonna be laughing.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: I'm going to help with you.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Uh was there any question?
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, no, no.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, um, later that day, Hurley is greeted at his mansion by his mother.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: He tells her what happened and renews renews his intentions to go to Australia to investigate the numbers.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: His mother says he can't be cursed because his father has returned after 17 years.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: His father jokes that your mother wasn't kidding about those candy bars.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: Like that's kind of fucked up.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Oh fucked up.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, hey son, I haven't seen you since I ran out on you and your mom, but by the way, you're fat.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Like that that's basically what he said.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: Basically, that is what he said.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: At dinner, David remarks on a golden statue of Jesus, and Carmen explains that Hurley commissioned artisans in tax school to make it.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: She also explains that they hired workers from Benegens to be their butlers.
- 6:16unknown: Yeah.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Like you just go to a restaurant and be like, hey, I'm at Applebee's.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: I like the food.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: You want to come home and be my butler?
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, I mean, I I don't see.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: I mean, it works.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: You know, they used to be.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: It does work.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: It does, but like, but that's what I love about it is that it's so like he's got all this money, this big ass mansion, this 24 karat gold Jesus.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: And he just kind of like, oh, but I like the way you cook, so just come home and be our butlers.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Like, I can see there's so no fruit, it's it's so perfect.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Everyone, that's how our rich people work, but on different levels.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: They'd be like, Hey, I like the celebrity cook, what they cook, like you know, just different levels.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: I know I mean, the like, why can't I think today?
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: The process is the same.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: Like, I like the way you cook.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: Come work for me.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: Now, who they say it to obviously is different, but well, yeah, but that's what I'm saying.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Like, it's not you think J Lo chef, she plucked she plucked her chef out of Benegins, like she, you know, like that that's what I mean.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: Like, it's just it's just so like oh, I don't even know what the word is.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: It's just so funny to me, you know, like you could picture it so down to earth and real.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Yes, down to earth, you know, like so so true to Hurley's character.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: That he's got all this money, but he's still so down to earth, normal-ish, normal like money doesn't really it makes it it's nice, but like he doesn't need it, you know.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: It hasn't changed him, especially since it's cursed.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: So I think that's a I think well it's it's cursed.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: I don't think that has a lot to make you, you know.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: When money is cursed, you don't exactly want to do things.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I think I might take my chances, considering my oven was trying to kill me.
- 8:20SPEAKER_02: Girl, facts.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: Like, let me have a shot and I'll let you know.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Let me see, give me give me a chance to tell you I don't like it.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: How do I how do you know if you don't try?
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: That's what they tell you when they're trying to make what you make so I can prove to you that I'm a sane person.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: Hugo gets upset that his mother isn't suspicious of his father suddenly showing up after he won the lottery, but she claims he came because she called him to ask for help with Hugo's obsession with his curse.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: Hugo gives Mr.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: and Mrs.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Tron severance and threatens to get rid of the money, all that it has bought, and his father.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: His mother covers the ears of the Jesus statue and says that she has become intimate with his with his father again, and she tells Hurley to show his father the Camaro which he has saved all these years.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: Okay, this thing was kind of like uh I don't want to say sad, but it's like 17 years this man walked out on you, and you haven't been intimate with anyone else.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: You still holding this candle for this man that walked out on you?
- 9:53SPEAKER_02: Like, we I don't uh I don't know.
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: Uh I just 17 years that's a long time.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: Like, are you really holding candle for like you're better than that?
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: I mean, the like I don't know.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: Anyhow.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Hurley's dad wakes him after some initial trouble due to Hurley wearing earphones to drown out his parents' love-making noise.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: He asks him to go with him to break the curse.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: They end up visiting a psychic who tells Hurley his fortune using tarot cards.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: The first card tells her he has won money, the second tells her it has brought him misfortune.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: She claims to see the numbers and she lists them.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: She says they are cursed and pulls a third card death.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: She says his curse can be removed and asks him to take off his clothes while she starts preparing ingredients to exercise his curse.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: He offers her a thousand dollars and then ten thousand to admit that his dad put her up to it.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: She acts offended, but then relents, admitting that her that his father put her up and takes the ten thousand.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: Pay me ten thousand to tell the truth would be the easiest thing for me.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: Let me tell you.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: You pay me ten thousand, I might tell you anything you want to hear.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: Like tell your truth, all right.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: Bet your tissues, because you're gonna cry.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: I'm going to make you cry.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: Um that might be fun.
- 11:18SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: People pay for some crazy shit.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: It could be like a new um Dominatrix genre.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Like just pay me to tell you and hurt you with my words.
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: I really think I need to start reassessing my what I'm doing in my spare time.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: I think I could be a good dominatrix.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: I need to be one of those that like pays people to clean my house and wash my dishes.
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I would like that.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: I was gonna search for one.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: Anyone with like a fetish to clean my house out, pay me to clean my house.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: I'm taking applications.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Send them here.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: I'll share.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Later, Hurley is packing to go to Australia.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: His father admits that he came back because of Hurley's money, but says Hurley doesn't need to leave.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: He just needs a little hope.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: He should make his own look, give away all the money, except enough to fix the Camaro with his dad, and take the trip to the Grand Canyon.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Hurley pauses to consider, but leaves.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: His father says he'll be there when Hurley gets back.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Now we get to the island.
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: I'm still mad they don't stay in the jungle anymore.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Hurley confesses his fears and troubles at Libby's grave and lays down a flower.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: He finds Charlie shaving and gets him to reveal Desmond's flashes of Charlie being fated to die.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: Hurley says it might be his fault because of the curse.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Vincent emerges from the jungle with the skeleton arm holding a key.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Hurley chases him through the jungle until the dog drops the arm.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Hurley takes the key, which has a lucky rabbit's foot keychain attached.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Not so lucky.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: And follows Vincent to an overturned van.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Now that I find hysterical.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: At the camp, Sun tells Jin that in order to help him learn, she will only speak to him in English from now on.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Hurley bursts into the group and tells everyone about the van.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: He tries to get help in starting it, but only Jin volunteers, not knowing what Hurley was saying.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: In the jungle, there you go.
- 13:31unknown: Look, look.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeves tonight.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: Kate and Sawyer get closer to camp.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Sawyer steps on a dart from the swan dartboard, and Kate pulls it out.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: They talk for a while, and Kate wants to reconcile, but Sawyer brushes her off.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: They reach camp and are enthusiastically greeted by their other survivors.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: Sawyer and Kate give each other a longing glance, but each misses the other's look.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Back at the van, Hurley and Jin find the owner of the arm, the skeletal remains of a man in a work suit which has on it a swan dharma logo patch, the name Roger, and the designation workman.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: They open the back door and find a mound of Dharma beer.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: They pull out the skeleton, accidentally causing the head to come off and land on a pile of documents.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: Would you drink that beer?
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, you're already on a deserted island.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: Like, what the fuck?
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Hell yeah, bottoms up.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: I know you would.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: And he's like, that beer banana says Rocky III, or maybe Rocky II.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: I don't care if it was Rocky I would be drinking it.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: What else do you have to do, like you said?
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: I glanced up and I was like, oh, white claw?
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: Oh no, it's a beer.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Like Charlie got white claw.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: I was like, wait, what?
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: At the camp, Charlie demands that Desmond tell him when he will die, but Desmond informs him it doesn't work like that.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Sawyer barges up to them and demands to know where his stash went.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: Desmond apologizes for drinking the scotch, but reveals that Charlie and Hurley helped.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Sawyer finds Hurley and Jim attempting to upright the van.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Hurley is overjoyed to see Sawyer, and both he and Jin give him a big hug.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Hurley says that the car and Sawyer's return are signs that their luck is changing.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: Sawyer asks for his stuff, but Hurley bribes him with beer to get him to help fix the van.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: On the beach, Kay tells Saeed about her experiences with the others.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: She explains that Jack had instructed them not to come back, but she is adamant that she should attempt the rescue.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: And Kate walks off into the jungle.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Some things never change.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Hurley, Sawyer, and Jin push the van upright and look inside.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: There are a lot of documents, including a Dharma blueprint for a road winding down the side of an incline and ending at the swan station.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: Sawyer freaks out at Roger's head and exits with some beer.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Hurley closes his eyes, puts the key in the ignition, and tries to start the van, but the engine doesn't turn.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: He takes offense at Sawyer calling Roger Skeletor and his lack of enthusiasm about fixing the van, saying they need to do it as a symbol of hope.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: While knocking back some Dharma beers, Sawyer teaches Jin some English words.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: These are great, was it?
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: No, you don't look fat.
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: No, it was I'm sorry.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: You're right.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: And his pants look good on you, or something like that.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: He asks Hurley what he's doing, and Hurley says he's praying for hope.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Soya throws a beer can at him, saying, Here's your hope.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Hurley sees the can rolling down a hill and gets an idea.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: He finds Charlie on the beach and snaps him out of his bunk.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: He convinces him to help with the van, saying it will give both of them the hope they need to change their fates.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: Hurley returns with Charlie and gets the other three to push the van to where the hill starts.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: He gets out and they all look down to see a steep incline with some big black rocks at the bottom.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Hurley says that if they push the van down the hill, he can pop the clutch and get it started.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: Charlie calls shotgun.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Jen and Sawyer push them over the precipice and the van hurtles down the hill.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Just before they are about to crash into the rocks, Hurley has his eyes closed and is telling himself he is making his own luck.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: He pops the clutch and the van starts.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: He swerves to avoid the rocks and drives into a field.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: The van comes alive with the same song Hurley's radio was playing when his dad left him.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Jin and Sawyer join them for a joyride, shouting as they circle the field.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Hey, Vincent joined them too.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: That was cute.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Hurley stays behind to go for another joy ride while the other three go back to camp with renewed hope.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Jin gives Sun a flower, and a smiling Charlie joins Claire.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: Sawyer brings the beer back to his tent and looks for Kate, but she is long gone.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: He looks around at the happy couples with envy as he drinks his beer.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Side note, okay, this is like so random, right?
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: But like I know that they're on an island and you know, hygiene is what the best you can make of it.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: But I feel like out of the four of them in the jungle with the van, Sawyer, Charlie, and Hurley look like they were rolling around in the dirt while Jin looks like he just stepped out of the shower.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: I've always noticed that he always looks so clean cut.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: He always looks like so fresh, like he smells good.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: Well, you think that this is gonna sound really I don't wanna so he has you see why can't I remember her name?
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: Son.
- 19:08SPEAKER_02: You see sun, I think at past episodes, always doing laundry or doing something, you know, taking care of their per taking care of their belongings, you know.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: That's true, that's true.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: So they have like he he I don't want to say he has someone looking after him.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: I yeah, I'm trying to say without size so many.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: I know what you mean.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: I know what you mean, but you know, um, and they also part of it goes to their culture and and just taking care of their person, period, you know.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: So I don't think anyone, I mean, what's his name?
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: Bernard has Bernard and Rose, but they're a little bit older though, so you know, but the the rest of them are kind of just like from what we see thus far, just like on their own.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's that's a good point.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, I guess I didn't think of it like that.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: I just it it's just something that I noticed, like they all just look like they're living on a deserted island, and Jin looks like he just got off the yacht.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: I actually kind of like that though.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: It's a lot about the character, like it's also I think it's I don't think it's an accident either.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: No, definitely not.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Definitely not.
- 20:18SPEAKER_02: These writers in wardrobe is fucking awesome.

- 20:29SPEAKER_00: I know most of us are still spending more time at home due to COVID.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: And while it's been rough for many of us, our pets have been right there by our sides.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: What better way to pamper that special furry friend of yours than by treating them to something special from Artemis Clothing?
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: ArtemisClothing.com has so many items you and your pet will love.

- 21:06SPEAKER_00: You both deserve it.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: While Kay is in the jungle at night, she sees that Loc and Said have followed her.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: They ask her why she didn't ask for help looking for Jack.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: She says they weren't motivated, but Locke counters that they just didn't know where to look.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Saeed sarcastically claims that Locke has gotten a clue from Echo's stick.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Gunshots fire, but Kate tells them to lower their weapons and Danielle comes out.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: Kate asks for help and tells her that she was able to escape from the others with the help of a girl about 16 years old who she thinks is Danielle's daughter Alex.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: And with that, the episode comes to an end.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Overall, did you like it?
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Did you meet?
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, and I like I said, I mean, early episodes always you know on a side note, the woman who plays Danielle Rousseau, she just she passed like a couple of weeks ago.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Oh no.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: So that was sad.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Her name is Mira Furland.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Furland.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: I'm not really sure how to pronounce it.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: But So um okay let's do this trivia before I give you mine, okay?
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: Trivia, trivia, trivia.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: There is a picture of a tropical beach on the whirl.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: On the whirl.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: There is a picture of a tropical beach on the wall in Hurley's dining room.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: The label on the beer, as well as Roger's jumpsuit, clearly shows the Swan logo.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: There is a Dharma logo on the front of the bus, non-station specific.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: We all know that's a Volkswagen.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: A hippie bearing.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: Like Sony says.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: And Hurley's father gives him a glacier candy bar, which it's usually every time you see a candy bar, it's usually an Apollo bar.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, um, this is okay.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: So this episode basically has been brought to you by daddy issues.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: And this episode's been brought to you by daddy issues.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: Because the whole episode was about Hurley's daddy issues with his daddy.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: But my little um, you know, like how the New York Post does like the blind item, not that I want to, you know, advocate for the New York Post or anything, but um, I'm gonna give you a little bit of a blind item.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, Roger Workman.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: When you talk about daddy issues, man, can I just say he is the cause of somebody's daddy issues?
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: I just gotta say, as a mother, I am so glad that that's not hopping on like the series doesn't hop on mother issues because everyone's always quick to blame the mother, right?
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: Shit.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: Yes, we will see Roger Workman, workman, workman, workman, workman, workman.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we will see Roger sometime in the future, and he is somebody's daddy and is a big cause of some daddy issues.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: I'll tell you that.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: Okay, very interesting.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: And I will tell you one more thing, and you can do with it what you want, okay?
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: This is a biggie.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: This is the last Hurley flashback.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, if you can see your eyes right now.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: I'm not watching the show anymore.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: I'm done.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: I quit.
- 24:52SPEAKER_02: No, you don't.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: I quit.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: No, you don't.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: We're gonna do home my pay.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: No, no.
- 25:01SPEAKER_02: Is it okay?
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: Is this gonna be the last Hurley flashback or the last time Hurley's in a flashback or both?
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: This is going to be the last Hurley-centric flashback.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: This is fucking ridiculous.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Well, I guess I mean they did tell his story, but no, they didn't tell you what happened once he got to Australia.
- 25:21SPEAKER_02: You know what?
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: I I I quit.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: I quit.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: They did tell say what happened when he got to Australia.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: Remember, he went to see the guy's wife?
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: And she was like missing a leg, and the guy had killed himself.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:33SPEAKER_02: Okay, then I guess we're all done with Hurley then.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: I still want to speak to your manager.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: I want to speak to his manager, please.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, let me just oh, Hurley's father is called David, and the imaginary friend Hurley makes up while in the mental hospital is Dave.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Are they connected?
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: Enter.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: Shall we enter daddy issues again?
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: Enter stage locked.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Let me see.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: Um the Shambhala, which is the song playing about the beginning of the show and on the A-track in the bus, is Shambhala by Three Dog Night.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: It was released around 1973, and the lyrics say that everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind on the road to Shambhala.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: Shambhala Buddhism represents for Buddhists the pure land and is believed to be a society in which all inhabitants are enlightened.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: And you know that there's very little that's a coincidence.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: I guess that's it, right?
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that that's it.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: Well, the I mean the the title is Trisha Tanaka is dead.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, okay, which really is self-explanatory, it doesn't really have any relevance on the island except that that was like the final straw for Hurley to do what he considered to be changing his love or putting it into the curse.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: Um I I I don't know, like speculation here.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: Anything else that you nope.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Pretty much yeah.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: The skeletor's lucky rabbit foot was relatively in good shape considering the skeleton.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: What do you think the beer tasted like?
- 27:24SPEAKER_02: Flat, warm piss.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Sounds delicious.
- 27:29SPEAKER_02: I just take a sip.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: It almost came out.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: I almost spit my sible over the computer.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: I I know you hate when I when I try to justify how wonderful that this show is to everyone except for you in the world.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: But I think I think that this episode, because let's be honest, Stranger in a Strangeland was an hour-long episode about Jack's stupid tattoo.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: I think that now this with this episode, we're going to get into the better half of this season.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: Because you promise.
- 28:11SPEAKER_02: I mean, if not massage your mom.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Because like I'm looking at the episode list, and from the ones that I can re like remember offhand, uh Enter 7.7, Par Avion drops a little bit of a bomb on us.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, there's yeah.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: So the next episode is Enter 7-7.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: It focuses on Said.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: We haven't had a Said episode in a while either.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: In a minute.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna get and I and I think that there's gonna be a little element in that episode that you're very much going to like.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: You're not gonna guess what it is.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not gonna try to.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: And don't try because it because you're just gonna overthink it.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna attempt to even, yeah, because what do you what do you think it's gonna be about?
- 29:07SPEAKER_02: No idea.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: Said you asked for it.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, where in his life do you think it's gonna be about?
- 29:20SPEAKER_02: Before the island.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, look at you, two for two.
- 29:27SPEAKER_02: Ah, just so you know, I use every brace that I have.
- 29:36SPEAKER_02: Oh, I saw this.
- 29:39SPEAKER_02: There I went to one speaking, it's not easy for me.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: I went to the store and above this woman's cash register, and she said, I speak fluent sarcasm.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I need that, I need it so badly.
- 29:55SPEAKER_02: I think sarcasm was my first language.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yep.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Well, that will do it for this episode.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: Please stay tuned for the next episode when we will talk about enter 7-7.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: I just had a flash of Mark Geller.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, as as I am currently painting my kitchen on a on a friend's theme.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: On a friends theme, yeah.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Uh do I like that show?
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: So, yes, enter 7.7.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I can't stop chuckling now.
