  Speaker 1: I come to you in prayer to be able to

  Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this

  Speaker 1: mic and go through the listener's ears, and be able
• 0:16
  Speaker 1: to reach their hearts and minds and be able to
• 0:17
  Speaker 1: apply these verses to their lives. And the Lord Jesus

  Speaker 1: Christ name, I pray a men. So if you wanna

  Speaker 1: gonna be on Mark chapter one, verse one through fifteen.

  Speaker 1: And we just finished up the Gospel of Matthew chapter

  Speaker 1: one through twenty eight. Great series. And I like to

  Speaker 1: call these series because there's gonna be part two to
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: this series as well. Hey, it's all the way back

  Speaker 1: to Corinthians. We did obviously, we just finished up the
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: Gospel of Matthew. We did Philippine means who did on you?

  Speaker 1: And it's over one hundred episodes. So as the Imbra

  Speaker 1: Show continues to consistently move along, I'll give you enough

  Speaker 1: It is titled John the Baptist tells God's message to people.

  Speaker 1: Verse one. This is the start of the good news
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: about Jesus Christ. He is the son of God. The
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: prophet Isaiah wrote this message from God in his book Listen.
• 1:36
  Speaker 1: I will send someone to prepare away for you. He
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: will tell people my message, and this is verse three,
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: Mark chapter one. His voice will shout in the wilderness.
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: The Lord will come soon, So prepare away for him,
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: make the path straight for him. So John went to
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: a place in the wilderness baptize people, and he's spoke
• 2:01
  Speaker 1: a message from God. John said to people, you have
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: done many wrong things. You must turn away from them
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: and change how you live. Then God will forgive you
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: and I will baptize you. See, you gotta come as
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: you are right. In order to change. You have to
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: realize what you're doing is wrong and it's not pleasing God.
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: And everyone thinks that, oh, pleasing God is like, it's
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: just so strict and it's boring. And take it from
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: somebody that lived reckless and fool of sin and was
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: still a believer for so many years. There is a
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: sense of pride and ego when coming to the Lord
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: that must die. And that's not something that is just easily. Oh,
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit takes everything. It doesn't work that way.

  Speaker 1: You have to be willing and wanting this. And when
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: we're talking about Jesus coming right to the world and
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: the good news of that right. I can only imagine
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: how in that time where John was just he could
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: sense it. He knew the Messiah was coming, so getting
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: deeper into it Verse five, many people who lived in
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: Jerusalem and in the country of Judah went to listen
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: to John. The people agreed that he had done wrong things.
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: Then John baptized them in the Jordan River. Verse six
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: states John wore clothes made from the hair of a camel.
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: He also wore a belt made from leather he usual.
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: His usual food was locust and honey from the wilderness.

  Speaker 1: John said to the people another person will come soon.
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: He is much greater than I am. I am not
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: good enough even to undo his shoes for him. Verse eight.

  Speaker 1: I have baptized you with water, but this man will
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: baptize you with the Holy Spirit. You can only imagine
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: John being able to have this crowd of people listen
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: to him and he didn't make it about him. He
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: didn't make it about how God had the message for him.
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: He would tell people that somebody greater than him will come.
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: John was already so great right that God gave this
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: message and put it on his heart, put it in
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: his mind to tell people, just like how I'm doing
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: right now now. I'm not no John. I'm definitely not
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: no Jesus. But I am a prophet. Many are called,
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: few are chosen. God chooses the ones that have the
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: heart to be able to obtain the message and give
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: the message. A willing participant is what I am. But
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: it did not come overnight. I want to give encouragement
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: to anybody that's fairly new to not only this episode,
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: but fairly new to believing in Jesus. It takes faith.
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: Faith is having something of belief that you can't necessarily
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: see with your human eyes or you have not necessarily
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: received the evidence. And I know how hard it is
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: in the beginning to completely surrender to something that you
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: don't know of. So you have to not only just
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: get into the Bible, not just go to church. You
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: have to talk to Jesus as if you were talking
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: to somebody that you're very very close to almost like
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: a therapist, almost like a sponsor. Right. And I say
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: these things because I know firsthand how it is to
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: go just in the believer. You know, season and it's tough.
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: But the faith of a mustard seed is very, very
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: very tiny. That's all you have to have in order
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: to allow the Holy Spirit to really come in and
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: grow that seed into what God needs you to be.
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: It's not all what you think, it's not all what
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: you feel. When it comes to following Christ's believing in Christ.
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: It is not what you think it is. You have
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: been a slave to either alcohol, drugs, anything that you're
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: obsessed with, anything that you give your time to consistently.
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: Now flipping that and consistently being in prayer, and that's prayer,
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: is having that relationship with Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: and having time to be with the spirit of the
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: Holy Ghost. It is very very beneficial. When you really
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: feel like you're alone and you're bored, that's an opportunity
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: to really get connected with the higher power. And there's
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: no greater higher power than Jesus Christ. There's many there's
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: ten thousand religions, there's many that came before Jesus that
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: got pretty close. There's many during Jesus his time that
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: were really great icons, and there was many after Jesus,
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: but not one could get it right putting God first
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: and being sinless. Let that register, We're gonna go a
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: little deeper. John baptizes Jesus and Satan tested Jesus verse nine.
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: Soon after this, Jesus came from the town of Nadaus
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: in Galley. John baptized him in the Jordan River verse ten.
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: While Jesus was coming up out of the water, he
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: saw the skies open. The Holy Spirit came down like
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: a dove, and he stayed, and he stayed on Jesus eleven,
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: a voice spoke from heaven. You are my son, and
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: I love you. You make me very happy verse twelve.
• 9:14
  Speaker 1: Immediately the Holy Spirit sent Jesus out into the wilderness.
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: Jesus was in the wilderness for forty days. During this time,
• 9:22
  Speaker 1: Satan tried to cause him to do wrong things. There
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: were wild animals with Jesus in the wilderness. God's angels
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: took care of him. You can only imagine how terrifying
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: it probably was for Jesus to be out there in
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: the wilderness. But he was not alone. He had the
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. And how many of us right or in
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: the wilderness season of our lives are we been tempted
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: and come up short When it comes to my story,
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: I have definitely been peer pressured into a lot of things,
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: but it's not like the peer pressure was somebody holding
• 10:08
  Speaker 1: a gun telling me to do these things. I also
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: made the choice, and I learned through trial and error,
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: and you don't have to go through that. You don't
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: have to go through that. You'll never be perfect like Jesus.
• 10:24
  Speaker 1: I want to make that clear. And as I got
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: less than five minutes on this episode, I want to
• 10:31
  Speaker 1: talk kind of directly to someone that may have pressed
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: play and that has been listening to me, and we
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: have had a very intense relationship and it has happened
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: fairly quickly, and there's no water in this down. I
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: just want you to know that I'm dedicating these last
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: four minutes, especially to not pouring my heart out. I've
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: already cried for you. I've already done all that I
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: can do on this side of the perspective. I know
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: I come off strong. I know I come off that
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: and I don't hide my feelings whatsoever. And with everything
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: that's been transpired, as a fire truck goes by. That's
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: a good sign though that I know for a fact
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: that we belong together. But that does not mean that
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: everything is going to be peaches and cream. The enemy
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: does not want us together the spirit. So whatever it
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: is you're going through, there is a purpose for it.
• 12:11
  Speaker 1: I can't sit here and tell you what that purpose is.
• 12:14
  Speaker 1: You have to find it out. I don't need you
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: to be perfect, because we pray together, and we pray
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: to a perfect king, the Son of God. The Holy
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: Spirit is with you, whether you want to be with
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: me or not. I know that that's not you because
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: deep down I've seen your inner child. You've seen my
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: inner child, that spirit, that childlike spirit that you don't
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: show everybody that only comes out with not only that
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: you're comfortable, but when you're with the right person, and
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: no matter our upbringings, right And I almost said it,
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: I know you're going to listen and be like, oh, hey, almost,
• 13:03
  Speaker 1: but we are so we are so opposite. But the
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: version of you right now reminds me of a lot
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: of the version of me when I was just a believer.
• 13:21
  Speaker 1: And as much as it hurts, not to reach out
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: and I will do better moving forward because I don't
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: want to chase because what is for me, just like
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: you found me, and this relationship is going to have
• 13:38
  Speaker 1: to be the same thing. You're gonna have to reach
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: out to me. I don't care what's been said. I
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: don't care how you felt, I don't care about how
• 13:46
  Speaker 1: you thought, and vice versa. At the end of the day,
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: if we can come back to love and meet in
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: November and be able to be in each other's presence
• 13:57
  Speaker 1: and allow us to not only just makeup, but have
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: that grace up, not that down that downward spiral where
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: what you feel is what I've thought as well, you know,
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: and what you think is what I feel, and that
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: tide is never going to go away. You're never going
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: to forget about me, and I'm never going to forget
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: about you, because we're at the home stretch and you
• 14:32
  Speaker 1: deserve this. You deserve a healthy relationship and so do I.
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: And you will be my last and I will be
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: your last. Don't ever worry about if that it's false,
• 14:48
  Speaker 1: because it is the truth. Thank you for a person
