Transcript
- 0:00Erin Gray: Today on the podcast, we're going to be talking about a universal law that changed the way that I think and relate to money.
- 0:06Erin Gray: And that law is the law of supply.
- 0:08Erin Gray: It is in or taught in Raymond Hollowell's book, Working with the Law.
- 0:14Erin Gray: Most women, and I believe a lot of people that I've talked to in general do not realize that their fear around money doesn't come from the lack of money.
- 0:27Erin Gray: It comes from the perceived lack of supply.
- 0:30Erin Gray: So if you have ever felt like there's not enough money, there's not enough clients, there's not enough time, not enough opportunity, that money exists outside of you, this episode is for you.
- 0:41Erin Gray: Also, I want to make just a quick announcement that I am hosting a workshop on Tuesday, December 16th at 10 a.m.
- 0:47Erin Gray: Mountain Standard Time.
- 0:49Erin Gray: This is going to be a workshop that is all about helping you connect more with your spouse when it comes to money and to have more relaxed, connected conversations with less or without arguments and you know, letting go of the blame game.
- 1:07Erin Gray: I would love for you to join us.
- 1:09Erin Gray: And if this is something that resonates with you and you want to come and connect and learn from me, you can just click the link in the show notes to register.
- 1:15Erin Gray: I want to read a couple of excerpts from the book because I think that they are highly impactful.
- 1:22Erin Gray: If you haven't read this book, if you haven't bought the book, go buy it.
- 1:25Erin Gray: Read it and read it on multiple levels of like your awareness.
- 1:30Erin Gray: Like as my awareness continues to grow and expand, when I read books, I learn something else because my consciousness has evolved.
- 1:40Erin Gray: So Raymond Halwell, he talks about that all the supply that ever was, still is, and ever shall be, for nothing can ever be wasted or lost.
- 1:53Erin Gray: There can never be a shortage of supply.
- 1:56Erin Gray: And he talks about how there is a phase of the law known as demand and supply, which is found in every department of life.
- 2:06Erin Gray: He kind of gives an example of when, you know, Thomas Edison wanted to have the first electric light.
- 2:12Erin Gray: And basically a lot of people, their consciousness wasn't at this level, and they thought, like, the candles were fine.
- 2:17Erin Gray: Why do we need electric light?
- 2:18Erin Gray: They didn't understand it.
- 2:20Erin Gray: But then when they actually figured out, oh, this is actually better, and there was a demand for it, then the supply was forthcoming.
- 2:30Erin Gray: And I think in the world, I think, not just Western world, they, let's just say big corporations, things of that sort, have kind of manipulated the law of, you know, economics.
- 2:41Erin Gray: You know, one of one of the things of economics is the law of supply and demand.
- 2:45Erin Gray: And if you've ever noticed that when there is more demand, actually they decrease the supply.
- 2:51Erin Gray: You know, think about how Amazon, if you are wanting something, then all of a sudden it's not there anymore, which is exactly opposite of what the actual law is, is that there is a demand for it, the supply already exists.
- 3:06Erin Gray: And you actually have to create demand in the mind first in order for the supply to be forthcoming.
- 3:14Erin Gray: And I think that a lot of us have been, you know, like I said, taught this back asswards.
- 3:20Erin Gray: You know, we think that the supply peers first and then we create the demand, but the opposite is actually true.
- 3:27Erin Gray: You have to create that demand in your mind first, then the supply shows up.
- 3:32Erin Gray: So think about when you are wanting to create a certain amount of income per month, but we don't, we haven't set down to say, like, okay, where is it going to go?
- 3:44Erin Gray: Like we say we want to make a certain amount, we say we want to have, you know, a certain amount of assets, but how are you actually going to circulate that money?
- 3:52Erin Gray: Yes, some of it might just be to go into like your having account.
- 3:55Erin Gray: But if you're gonna want to make X amount, I don't know, what would it, whatever it is for you, think about what you're wanting to create in your business per month.
- 4:03Erin Gray: How are you actually gonna allocate the money?
- 4:05Erin Gray: Have you actually sat down to look at, okay, this is where the money would circulate?
- 4:11Erin Gray: Like so many of us just think that there's a number that we want to create, but we don't, we haven't created the demand in our mind yet to say, okay, this amount would go here, this amount would go there, this is where I would circulate it, this is where I would spiritually tithe it, this is what I would, you know, pay myself.
- 4:29Erin Gray: Like we don't sit down and actually do that work.
- 4:32Erin Gray: We just, I don't want to say we as a collective, but some of us don't actually say, like, where is this money actually going to go?
- 4:40Erin Gray: And then from that place, do we actually have faith?
- 4:44Erin Gray: You know, if you believe that, do you actually have faith and you're taking the steps to create the demand so that the supply can appear?
- 4:53Erin Gray: And Hollowell goes on to say, like, where there is no demand, there will be no evidence of supply.
- 4:58Erin Gray: And I think so much about this in terms of how I think a lot of us were brought up of like, don't ask for too much.
- 5:05Erin Gray: Um, I was working with a client the other day and we were looking at her, if you want to call it budget allocation.
- 5:12Erin Gray: And, you know, when she was talking about vacations and recognizing, like, oh, I actually want to be able to take or spend more money on vacations than what I'm actually allocating for myself.
- 5:27Erin Gray: And I think so many of us have been taught to like work within, you know, what you're currently making, or make everything fit into that box, or don't ask for too much, or you are too much, or you know, just be happy with what you have.
- 5:44Erin Gray: And we have probably subconsciously created a world for ourselves where the supply isn't actually coming as abundantly as we would like it to, because we aren't creating the demand.
- 5:56Erin Gray: You know, if we are, you know, thinking like, oh, what we have is good enough, then the supply is going to match that versus increasing our demand.
- 6:04Erin Gray: And he talks, Hallowell talks about like the secret of the law lies in one's consciousness.
- 6:10Erin Gray: A man's life consists not in the abundance of things he possesses, but in the consciousness of that which he has.
- 6:17Erin Gray: Man possesses the whole world and all of its wealth, yet is only able to enjoy what his consciousness permits him to discern.
- 6:27Erin Gray: So I just want you to think about where are you not asking for actually what you want?
- 6:33Erin Gray: Where are you looking at your bank account and thinking that that is all that you can have?
- 6:37Erin Gray: And he goes on to say that the thing that actually inhibits or limits your supply is any type of doubt, fear, or worry.
- 6:45Erin Gray: He says that the thing that we dare not to do is to fret and worry about supply or where our next dollar is coming from.
- 6:55Erin Gray: Fretting and worry tend to restrict and limit the supply at hand, and they tend to close off the outflow of the substance, whether that flow is small or large.
- 7:04Erin Gray: So instead of lifting us out of limitation, instead of improving our conditions or increasing our supply, they drag us deeper into the throes of doubt and fear.
- 7:13Erin Gray: And instead of expecting more to follow, we grow tense and anxious, which increases our fear and brings us less and less.
- 7:21Erin Gray: Instead of tightening up in our thinking, we must relax and be more expanding.
- 7:25Erin Gray: We must educate our minds to a larger state of thinking.
- 7:29Erin Gray: And when we can think and realize more abundance, we shall receive more abundantly.
- 7:34Erin Gray: So I want to say two things here.
- 7:36Erin Gray: One, in terms of your nervous system, where are you actually in your body on a consistent basis around money?
- 7:44Erin Gray: Are you tense?
- 7:45Erin Gray: Are you worrying?
- 7:45Erin Gray: Are you?
- 7:46Erin Gray: I was talking to a client the other day and we were talking about, you know, year-end goals or what she wanted to create for the last month or in December.
- 7:55Erin Gray: And a lot of what she was saying was all around like it not working out.
- 8:00Erin Gray: And I think that it's really important that you pay attention to your language and actually what you are assuming to be true.
- 8:07Erin Gray: If you are assuming that it's not going to work out and that you're not going to have a good month, that is exactly what you are going to create versus thinking from more an abundant or sufficient place and that there is always enough supply, and that the only reason why you are not experiencing that in your 3D world, your observed world, is because you are first creating that in your mind.
- 8:28Erin Gray: The other point that I want to say here is that a lot of us have gone astray, I guess is the word I want to use, in terms of where we believe our supply comes from.
- 8:38Erin Gray: God is our supply, not our clients, not our spouses, not anything else other than God.
- 8:46Erin Gray: And so when we look at the supply and we think, oh, it's from our clients, we're actually looking at the byproduct or the effect.
- 8:57Erin Gray: We aren't looking at the cause.
- 8:59Erin Gray: Hollow talks about the difficulty with some is that they can more easily look to creature, meaning like the byproduct or the effect for the source of their substance rather than the creator.
- 9:10Erin Gray: So I want you to really think about where do you believe that your money is coming from?
- 9:16Erin Gray: Do you believe that it is coming from your clients or your spouse or whatever that you might be thinking versus are you believing that it is coming from God and then it's just being filtered through these different avenues?
- 9:30Erin Gray: Or maybe you're thinking that it's coming from investments.
- 9:32Erin Gray: It's really coming, our source is coming from God.
- 9:36Erin Gray: That is our supply.
- 9:37Erin Gray: And when you get in the words that come to mind, when you get in line with that, then it becomes a co-creation versus thinking that it's something outside of you, like your clients or your business or your investment assets or your spouse.
- 9:52Erin Gray: So I want you to really ponder this week.
- 9:56Erin Gray: Where are you actually think of it like a hose?
- 9:59Erin Gray: Where are you crimping your supply?
- 10:02Erin Gray: Where are you cutting off your supply?
- 10:04Erin Gray: Because you are thinking from a limited place.
- 10:08Erin Gray: You are also not creating demand in the mind first.
- 10:12Erin Gray: And, you know, when we are looking at, this was one of the things that I would really talk to my dad and my uncle about in their business of like hiring employees.
- 10:21Erin Gray: You hire before the money shows up.
- 10:25Erin Gray: By hiring is what actually creates the demand, or what creates the supply, the money.
- 10:30Erin Gray: And so it's not of I'm gonna wait until I'm at X in order to hire people.
- 10:34Erin Gray: It's you hire people and then they help you create what you want in your business, aka the supply.
- 10:41Erin Gray: So think about where are you spending your time?
- 10:44Erin Gray: Where are you focusing on the demand and the desires that you have for your life and your business?
- 10:50Erin Gray: Or where are you looking at your 3D world and creating stories and data from that and creating more of the same?
- 10:58Erin Gray: Because if you look at your money that's in your bank account, if you look at your PL, if you look at your investment accounts, and then you take or you make stories up around that, or you create or you make that mean something versus what is the demand?
- 11:14Erin Gray: What do you want to have and allowing the supply to come?
- 11:17Erin Gray: And this is also, I think, where detachment comes into play, like allowing it to come in whatever way, which will probably in my experience has always been way better than I could have imagined it, but creating the demand in your mind first and then also taking action from that place.
- 11:33Erin Gray: So, you know, if you knew that money was on its way, would you hire the person that you've been hesitating to hire for the last couple of months?
- 11:43Erin Gray: Would you choose, you know, a client of mine, we were talking about like a different tier system for someone that she was looking at hiring.
- 11:51Erin Gray: And would you choose the lowest one because you were being fearful, or would you choose, and I'm not saying you choosing the highest tier is going to be the answer for you, but just notice where in your body are you contracting and playing small because you have a fear?
- 12:08Erin Gray: You don't understand the law of supply, you think that money shows up first, and then you go and create the demand.
- 12:17Erin Gray: Where are you doing that instead of deciding and moving from the end as if you already had it?
- 12:25Erin Gray: The supply is already on its way, and you are moving from that place.
- 12:30Erin Gray: Okay, go get the book, read the book.
- 12:33Erin Gray: Law of supply is one of the universal laws.
- 12:37Erin Gray: And with anything, you know, take what resonates, leave the rest.
- 12:41Erin Gray: But I really think a lot of us need to dream bigger.
- 12:44Erin Gray: I think we need to ask for more.
- 12:46Erin Gray: We need to, and when I say ask for more, what I mean is we need to demand more, right?
- 12:51Erin Gray: Like God is always ready and willing to give us whatever we are desiring in our hearts.
- 12:57Erin Gray: The question really is are we, are we demanding it?
- 13:01Erin Gray: Are we expecting it?
- 13:02Erin Gray: Are we moving from the assumption that it's already going to show up and that he is just waiting to give us exactly what we want?
- 13:09Erin Gray: Or are we moving from the energy of like, I don't know if I can have it.
- 13:13Erin Gray: I'm not sure.
- 13:15Erin Gray: You know, it's what I want to say is certainty over hesitation.
- 13:20Erin Gray: Okay, that's all I have for you.
- 13:22Erin Gray: I will see you in the next episode.
