- 4:05Speaker 3: Okay, isn't that a lot of time? Know it's crazy.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I am actually so proud of Neo for the most
- 4:15Speaker 1: recent way he explained and expressed finally himself.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I think what show was he on? It was one
- 4:21Speaker 2: of the daytime talk shows.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And I feel bad for him because now every time
- 4:24Speaker 1: he fucking sits down, he has to explain his relationship.
- 4:27Speaker 3: I hate that.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I feel like I didn't jump in quick enough to
- 4:29Speaker 1: have them on my show because now I feel like
- 4:30Speaker 1: it's just redundant. But I think, and it's what I've
- 4:34Speaker 1: been saying. I think the same way we have co hosts,
- 4:38Speaker 1: two parents, maybe multiple siblings, multiple friends, I think it's
- 4:43Speaker 1: the same way we can have romantic partnerships. So the
- 4:45Speaker 1: same way you juggle all your other relationships is the
- 4:47Speaker 1: same way I choose to juggle my romances.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Because you're dealing with it's only a lot.
- 4:54Speaker 2: It's only a lot when you don't put your motherfucker
- 4:55Speaker 2: foot down.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So when when something no longer serves me or I
- 4:59Speaker 1: feel like they're my.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Peace and this isn't fun anymore.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Like I believe in creating memories and having a good
- 5:06Speaker 1: time with my partners. So as soon as it starts
- 5:09Speaker 1: feeling like a job or a chore to be around you,
- 5:12Speaker 1: or I'm not happy have eby the same working for me.
- 5:16Speaker 2: We could work on fixing it.
- 5:17Speaker 1: But if you're not in even the space to do
- 5:20Speaker 1: so or have the capacity to do so, I'm gonna
- 5:23Speaker 1: let you go rum with somebody else.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Life you ain't gonna room mine.
- 5:25Speaker 3: So this is the polyamorous lifestyle of a.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Woman who also isn't looking for a man to come
- 5:31Speaker 1: in and fucking save me, Like, I'm not a woman
- 5:33Speaker 1: who needs a man to.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Like both.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yes, so, but I don't date women. I have fun
- 5:40Speaker 1: with women, but.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I don't know women. Yeah, god damn. Okay.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I like eating a little coochie from time to time. Okay,
- 5:48Speaker 1: but I don't date them. It's not like I, Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 1: I don't.
- 5:52Speaker 3: But you're in a relationship with two.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Guys men, yes, and yeah, yeah there aware when I'm
- 5:58Speaker 1: with one, the other nose on with them.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Do you have a favorite?
- 6:03Speaker 5: Oh?
- 6:03Speaker 3: You know, dang, I'm.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Just I mean to me the same way like I
- 6:11Speaker 1: have eleven best friends.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Even I do it's to stop stop you. I have
- 6:21Speaker 3: eleven best friends associates. You, No, I I have eleven
- 6:28Speaker 3: best friends.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And when I say best friends, it's friends who have
- 6:30Speaker 2: been in my life.
- 6:31Speaker 1: That we traveled, that we've met each other's parents, kids,
- 6:34Speaker 1: that we support and showed for each other. They've all
- 6:36Speaker 1: been my friend for ten years plus, outside of two,
- 6:39Speaker 1: two of them are more recent still five years. But
- 6:42Speaker 1: these these women and two men, have been in my
- 6:46Speaker 1: life for over a decade.
- 6:47Speaker 3: So you're you're good with juggling personalities.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yes, I feel like everybody on the spectrum and I
- 6:53Speaker 1: pick up on its like you know what I mean
- 6:56Speaker 1: it is like, and I allow them to be themselves.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I create a safe space and we've really genuinely show
- 7:00Speaker 1: up and care.
- 7:01Speaker 3: About each other. I'm the complete opposite. I believe you.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I gotta be one woman.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And how many friends you got?
- 7:07Speaker 3: My cousins and and then like maybe a couple have
- 7:11Speaker 3: a lot of friends either. And I only have one girl, homegirl, solo.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Girl.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I'm super cool with okay and her and my wife.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I had to make sure that they got along before.
- 7:20Speaker 2: That's that's very important.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Because you kind of need you need to have that happen.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I mean maybe I just maybe I'm good at juggling.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Then I don't know.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I you're good multiple personalities. I likes I got five kids.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Oh see, I got a cat. I would never have kids.
- 7:35Speaker 3: So you have kids like people? No?
- 7:37Speaker 1: No, you having five kids is like having an additional
- 7:39Speaker 1: ten people in your life.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Not only the way that I mean I grew up.
- 7:43Speaker 1: In a house full of women, but to me, kids
- 7:46Speaker 1: you're dealing with the constant like change of them. Also,
- 7:51Speaker 1: they're like roommates that don't pay rent ghetto, and then
- 7:54Speaker 1: you got to feed them, Like that's difficult, and you
- 7:57Speaker 1: actually gotta love them no matter what, like.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Don't want no matter what, like what if they suck?
- 8:02Speaker 1: What if their personalities is like, hey, little nigga, I
- 8:06Speaker 1: actually like you if you weren't my son, Like and
- 8:10Speaker 1: I know you can't admit to thinking that, but sometimes
- 8:13Speaker 1: I wouldn't.
- 8:15Speaker 3: It's just you just don't think that. Parent.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You can't say it out loud, but you absolutely have
- 8:21Speaker 1: been Like, man, if I was in school, you wouldn't
- 8:24Speaker 1: be my type of person I would have hung out
- 8:25Speaker 1: with growing up, Like, you can't say it out I
- 8:28Speaker 1: thought of that. But they're still humans, right, and so
- 8:34Speaker 1: they have their little personality trace their quirks.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Maybe they're into anime.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Maybe you, growing up was into sports, so you would
- 8:39Speaker 1: have thought your own child was a square ass nigga
- 8:41Speaker 1: that you wasn't gonna hang it shot stop.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Sometimes this is a good thing, right, This is why
- 8:47Speaker 3: you gotta be careful about who you pro create with,
- 8:49Speaker 3: because your kids turn out to become who you. It's
- 8:53Speaker 3: so funny looking at my kids because I can look
- 8:56Speaker 3: at some mannerisms that are just like me. Okay, right,
- 8:59Speaker 3: and then some of them would be just like their mom.
- 9:02Speaker 3: So I'm over here like, oh this is cool. And
- 9:03Speaker 3: I got two baby mamas, so you know, I can
- 9:05Speaker 3: literally look at little probably too. I'm not no, no, no,
- 9:08Speaker 3: I just was. I was irresponsible.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Are both are both are both? Hold on, I'm gonna
- 9:15Speaker 1: tell you how you are? Are both moms alive? Yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 1: so then you have to navigate co parenting with two
- 9:22Speaker 1: different women.
- 9:24Speaker 3: This is a good thing. They're older, so I don't
- 9:26Speaker 3: really have to do the cold parenting that much because
- 9:28Speaker 3: my daughter is seventh, my oldest, My oldest is twenty two,
- 9:30Speaker 3: my second oldest seventh. I am you you that forty?
- 9:34Speaker 3: I would have never you started earthing outside? Oh from Florida?
- 9:37Speaker 1: Man, oh so am I I know it's embarrassing. I'm
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm a baby, hey, baby born and raised and I'd
- 9:45Speaker 1: be like from Florida, Orlando fall seven chap the city, but.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Cats inside of the family from Tampa and I live
- 9:54Speaker 3: in Orlando for a little bit.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Okay, West brom Beaches, Oh yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Very Caribbean. My dad's Jamaican.
- 10:02Speaker 2: My mom's Hey, my mom my dad's Jamaican.
- 10:04Speaker 3: I mean Orlando is I don't.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I don't actually remember growing up around many African Americans.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Like when you go to school, everyone speak English, right,
- 10:12Speaker 1: But then when it's parents teacher conference or we got
- 10:16Speaker 1: a basketball game or a track meet and you meeting
- 10:18Speaker 1: the parents, they for a generation, they.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Said, I say, you know what I mean, like all
- 10:24Speaker 3: of it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And then when you have like the the the games
- 10:29Speaker 1: or the pep rallies, Oh, it's everyone bringing their flags. Sure,
- 10:32Speaker 1: no one, no one that I remember, like any of
- 10:34Speaker 1: my schools unless I went to a school that was
- 10:36Speaker 1: like more white, Like I went to this school called
- 10:38Speaker 1: Doctor Phillips you had, but I went I graduated from
- 10:42Speaker 1: Evans and went to Oak Ridge. So those are both
- 10:45Speaker 1: black schools. Yeah, like predominantly black schools. There's three and yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 1: so to me, you're.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Not gonna why because I'm bi racial, You ain't.
- 10:53Speaker 3: No, I went to.
- 10:56Speaker 5: You know, crazy, I don't know about can't moving moving
- 11:01Speaker 5: to Atlanta, beef Being from Arkansas, I've never seen as
- 11:04Speaker 5: many black people like all together.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yeah, used to we see it too many black people
- 11:09Speaker 3: like you in the hood. And yeah, no.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I mean all of my schools were predominantly black because
- 11:15Speaker 1: of the areas I grew up in, so that's all
- 11:18Speaker 1: I kind of know. But like I said, it was
- 11:20Speaker 1: different because it's not American black.
- 11:23Speaker 2: It was Caribbean, which is oh yeah, see everybody black.
- 11:29Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 11:30Speaker 3: You know, are you black or you white?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, you'll be You'll be dating a guy
- 11:34Speaker 1: and then he called his mom and he's speaking French
- 11:36Speaker 1: like you don't even.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Know, like.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like so yeah, it was.
- 11:41Speaker 3: It was interesting. So it was probably in your growing up.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Did you know your parents like that?
- 11:48Speaker 1: No, I mean I grew up in a single parent household.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Just my mom.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Uh.
- 11:53Speaker 2: My daddy showed up when he wanted to. He paid
- 11:56Speaker 2: his child support you know.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Uh we had to do DNA tests so he make
- 12:00Speaker 1: sure he was paying what he needed to pay for,
- 12:01Speaker 1: which it was.
- 12:02Speaker 2: It was you know.
- 12:06Speaker 1: For me, honestly, I think I got introduced to all
- 12:09Speaker 1: the things. I mean, I guess early I felt like
- 12:12Speaker 1: like niggas cheat. So like early on I was dealing
- 12:17Speaker 1: with married men, so I didn't feel like many people
- 12:19Speaker 1: were monogamous. And then my friends were bisexual, so we
- 12:23Speaker 1: were having groups set like early and then moving to
- 12:27Speaker 1: New York, getting away from like the South. I feel
- 12:31Speaker 1: like it was a privilege, like because I wasn't pressured
- 12:33Speaker 1: to have kids or find a husband or do all
- 12:37Speaker 1: the settling down that you learn in the Church and
- 12:39Speaker 1: the Deep South.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It was but you just got to find a way.
- 12:42Speaker 1: To pay your bills and and get away from roommates,
- 12:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 12:46Speaker 2: And so for me, I just got.
- 12:48Speaker 1: To explore and live for me more in New York
- 12:51Speaker 1: than I think most people get to.
- 12:53Speaker 3: You want kids, still don't.
- 12:56Speaker 5: And New York gives you that hustle mentality or New
- 12:58Speaker 5: York year around people in their thirties and forties with
- 13:01Speaker 5: no kids like it.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So it's not seen as like even a negative thing.
- 13:05Speaker 1: You're with people who in their thirties have roommates and
- 13:08Speaker 1: it's not a bad thing in their thirties and forties
- 13:11Speaker 1: with no car, But in New York you don't, so
- 13:13Speaker 1: like a lot of those things. In New York, it's
- 13:16Speaker 1: just about a hustle and that's kind of it. And
- 13:19Speaker 1: so you kind of just get to live for you
- 13:22Speaker 1: without a lot of the societal pressures and you just
- 13:24Speaker 1: figure in life out. It's fucking hard, which is why
- 13:27Speaker 1: I like now I get why they say, like, if you.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Can make it here, you can make it anywhere.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Life everywhere else seems so easy and it can be,
- 13:34Speaker 1: but like in New York, it wasn't. So I lived
- 13:36Speaker 1: there for thirteen years and twenty one to thirty five.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Soy four, you are arguably a part of one of
- 13:44Speaker 3: the biggest podcasts in the world. Country and horrible decisions
- 13:50Speaker 3: Now decisions decisions, no decisions. We rebranded, but we did
- 13:54Speaker 3: why my money niggas?
- 13:56Speaker 5: Oh?
- 13:56Speaker 3: Okay, hello, simple? Is that? I mean? I mean that?
- 14:00Speaker 5: Wait?
- 14:00Speaker 3: Wait wait wait yeah, So how did that podcast start?
- 14:04Speaker 3: Where'd you meet? Weezy?
- 14:05Speaker 2: So she's from Florida too.
- 14:06Speaker 1: We met Actually, funny story, we met in Orlando.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Uh we used to beef on.
- 14:14Speaker 3: My Space beef.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, our first time seeing each other in person.
- 14:18Speaker 1: We fought in the teen club. They was they was
- 14:21Speaker 1: they was throwing her her ponytail across the club like
- 14:23Speaker 1: we fought. So I dated her ex boyfriend and she
- 14:29Speaker 1: made it hell like girl, he'd have moved on with
- 14:31Speaker 1: me now, and so we like beef. We literally she
- 14:35Speaker 1: went to a whole nother school. I used to call
- 14:36Speaker 1: her new New so because again I went to oak Ridge,
- 14:39Speaker 1: that side of town. She had a movie theater and
- 14:42Speaker 1: chandelier in her house. She was new, new like she
- 14:44Speaker 1: liked to deal with the with the game bangers, drug dealers,
- 14:47Speaker 1: but she went to it. She drove a Jaguar in
- 14:49Speaker 1: high school. Okay, oh yeah, she had a jag in
- 14:51Speaker 1: high school. So we ended up. So we ended up.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We ended up fighting in the club, and it was
- 14:57Speaker 1: so dumb, but Orlando big but all so small. Everyone
- 15:02Speaker 1: we had a lot of mutual friends, and they just
- 15:04Speaker 1: always used to say, man, I think.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Y'all would really like each other.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Y'all hung out, or y'all talk like, y'all are so
- 15:10Speaker 1: much alike, Like I really think that y'all would fuck
- 15:13Speaker 1: with each other. So I ended up one day, I
- 15:16Speaker 1: don't even know how we got on the phone, but
- 15:17Speaker 1: got on the phone with her. Ended up spending like
- 15:19Speaker 1: a weekend with her, and we became like really close
- 15:22Speaker 1: friends in high school. And then we did fall out
- 15:27Speaker 1: again at like twenty twenty one, and then she ended
- 15:30Speaker 1: up moving to New York, and again everyone was like, well,
- 15:32Speaker 1: y'all are in two different spaces in your life now,
- 15:35Speaker 1: maybe y'all can you know, come back together, and we did,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and within like a month of rekindling, she went on
- 15:43Speaker 1: a podcast with one of the guys she worked with
- 15:45Speaker 1: at work and he was like, you're really good at this.
- 15:47Speaker 1: You should start a podcast, and I immediately came to mind.
- 15:50Speaker 1: She wanted to share whole stories, which is what she
- 15:52Speaker 1: was doing on her.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Pot at the time. It's what I did on the
- 15:55Speaker 2: internet and Twitter.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And from there we had a dinner, came up with
- 16:00Speaker 1: the segments, came up with the name, and the rest
- 16:04Speaker 1: was history.
- 16:05Speaker 3: That's fine. Yeah, Like by.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Episode three, I remember we used to record out of
- 16:09Speaker 1: a studio with this guy named Preach and he brought
- 16:13Speaker 1: a King in, a king who is now like my
- 16:16Speaker 1: producer and is on Black Effect. So at the time
- 16:19Speaker 1: he was a part of Loudspeaker. So Preach hit up
- 16:21Speaker 1: a King and was like, man, you got to come
- 16:23Speaker 1: check these girls out. This is episode three of our podcast.
- 16:26Speaker 3: No money, no no, we coming in there.
- 16:28Speaker 1: We're paying fifty thousand hours, just audio only, no video.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It didn't matter back then. This is twenty seventeen. So
- 16:33Speaker 1: he comes in, he's like, oh, yeah, they're good, and
- 16:36Speaker 1: literally they were like, okay, well, let's see if they
- 16:39Speaker 1: make it nine months from now.
- 16:42Speaker 2: We kept to it.
- 16:44Speaker 1: He brought us over to Chris Morrow, who brought us
- 16:46Speaker 1: to Charlemagne. They brought us on to Brilliant Idiots and
- 16:50Speaker 1: was like, let's just see what they do. Literally, with
- 16:53Speaker 1: that one episode, our listens went from like eight thousand
- 16:57Speaker 1: a week, which was a lot even at the time,
- 17:00Speaker 1: eight thousand a week to forty wow. And we ended
- 17:03Speaker 1: up keeping a lot of the that Brilliant Idiot's crowd,
- 17:07Speaker 1: which is now so different because of you know, Andrew Schulten.
- 17:10Speaker 1: The Flagrant crowd is a lot different. But yeah, we
- 17:13Speaker 1: ended up keeping it. We signed a loud speaker, and
- 17:17Speaker 1: then Charlemagne has been an advocate to, you know, keeping
- 17:21Speaker 1: us moving forward this whole time.
- 17:22Speaker 2: So next year makes ten years that we've been doing this.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Congratulations. You know it's hard to stay consistentasting.
- 17:30Speaker 1: We barely missed a week ever. Ever, we'll bulk record
- 17:35Speaker 1: like we got to take a break. Yeah, yeah, but
- 17:39Speaker 1: I mean it's dating and relationships. He ain't got to
- 17:41Speaker 1: talk current events if we're talking about the landscape of
- 17:44Speaker 1: dating and fucking relationships and six and things like that,
- 17:47Speaker 1: and our own personal stories. But yeah, it's and here
- 17:50Speaker 1: we are, so yeah, and then from there we got
- 17:53Speaker 1: the book. We both have branched out to our own shows, studios,
- 17:57Speaker 1: all the things.
- 17:57Speaker 3: So yeah, that's amazing.
- 17:59Speaker 5: It's good and not know at the time, like y'all
- 18:02Speaker 5: like that's when podcasts first started booming.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Too, black pots, like yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry, the white people.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Been around, They've been talking, they've been talking, you know
- 18:13Speaker 3: what I mean, Like that's what is it? AM Radio
- 18:15Speaker 3: and Ship Howard and that's podcasting. Yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 2: But us so you have brilliant idiots.
- 18:22Speaker 1: You have the read you have Deesus sa Merrow uh,
- 18:27Speaker 1: Joe Budden with with all the renditions of his show,
- 18:30Speaker 1: like yeah, luckily we started wanting to hear.
- 18:33Speaker 2: People talk and I love it.
- 18:35Speaker 1: But yeah, that was that was when you didn't have
- 18:38Speaker 1: to come out with a full video team.
- 18:40Speaker 3: And it's expensive now. It's expensive now.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Like so when people are like anyone can start a podcast.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Baby, you got an extra minimum two thousand a month
- 18:50Speaker 2: to invest in.
- 18:51Speaker 3: What it takes to and you got put it on YouTube.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Then you gotta grow. Everybody starts, but everybody is very
- 18:59Speaker 3: very you start seeing you start seeing oh wait, this
- 19:02Speaker 3: is a job. Yeah, and you got to manage it.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And wait, and you're managing the co host that you're with,
- 19:08Speaker 1: you're managing the team behind it, the clippers, the clippers,
- 19:12Speaker 1: the video, the audio, like, or you're figuring out that damn,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I don't really have the money to pay this. So
- 19:18Speaker 1: now you're putting yourself back through YouTube University because now
- 19:22Speaker 1: you have to teach yourself how to edit audio.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Like.
- 19:24Speaker 1: People don't know that when you become a podcaster, you
- 19:26Speaker 1: might also have to become an audio engineer and videos like.
- 19:30Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 19:30Speaker 5: And you also might have to become a producer and
- 19:33Speaker 5: decide like these angles that I like this, I didn't
- 19:36Speaker 5: like how I looked in this episode, and it just like.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Not only the producer. You come in with a partner.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Three months in you realize they only want to show
- 19:44Speaker 1: up and don't want to do shit. So now you
- 19:47Speaker 1: are we anyone who has started a podcast with another
- 19:51Speaker 1: person or multiple other people have went through that.
- 19:54Speaker 3: We've went through different changes.
- 19:57Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's a business like and that's that's so
- 20:00Speaker 5: that's what people don't understand. It's like being an artist, right,
- 20:03Speaker 5: A great artist is a great business person.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Yep, you know what I'm saying.
- 20:07Speaker 5: We got to make business decisions outside of this to
- 20:09Speaker 5: continue growing it.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Or you have to bring on a team that knows
- 20:12Speaker 2: how to run the business like that is.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Make adjustment within the team, and it's hard.
- 20:16Speaker 1: And that's the thing too write Like I talk about
- 20:18Speaker 1: in terms of us talking about the big bursts of
- 20:21Speaker 1: black podcasts, a lot of us don't have entrepreneurial parents
- 20:27Speaker 1: and things like that, you know what I mean, So
- 20:29Speaker 1: coming in navigating a business without knowing what the fuck
- 20:33Speaker 1: that looked like because all we did was apply, interview
- 20:36Speaker 1: and got hired. Yeah, yeah, that's what we would. That's
- 20:39Speaker 1: what we know how to do. That's what our parents did.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I don't like not many of my friends had entrepreneurial parents.
- 20:45Speaker 1: My parents weren't entrepreneurs. My mom worked in healthcare and
- 20:48Speaker 1: my dad did construction. Blue collar parents. So coming into
- 20:51Speaker 1: a space where I'm growing my own business to hire fire,
- 20:55Speaker 1: get taxes, get trademarks, and do all this, no one
- 20:58Speaker 1: teaches you how to do that.
- 20:59Speaker 5: Shit. Yeah, nobody teaches you how to do that. And
- 21:02Speaker 5: on top of that, it's really difficult building a brand.
- 21:06Speaker 3: It is.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Building a brand is like probably the most sleepness, like
- 21:13Speaker 5: you get sleep deprive thing because you're always constantly thinking
- 21:15Speaker 5: like how can I be better?
- 21:16Speaker 3: How can I push the brand better? How can I
- 21:18Speaker 3: put us in certain spaces and stuff like that and.
- 21:21Speaker 5: That shit that people that when people ask me advice
- 21:23Speaker 5: about podcasting, I'll be like, bro, that's like destribe it.
- 21:25Speaker 5: That's like asking a damn I don't know, that's like
- 21:29Speaker 5: asking somebody how to shoot a rocket.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 1: No, it's because it's like, yeah, I'm to the point
- 21:34Speaker 1: now where I'm just like, bro, y'all, ain't getting ours
- 21:38Speaker 1: out of me of explaining podcasts just for you to
- 21:40Speaker 1: never start it right. But I think when we think
- 21:42Speaker 1: of building a brand, like a lot of brands are
- 21:45Speaker 1: successful because they solve problems.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Yep.
- 21:47Speaker 2: So you have Kleenex, which you use if you got
- 21:49Speaker 2: to blow your nose.
- 21:50Speaker 1: You got certain brands that catapult, Like even what I'm drinking, Okay,
- 21:53Speaker 1: someone wants.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Something flavored that might have a little look at it.
- 21:56Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 21:57Speaker 1: In terms of a brand of a person that'smpletely different.
- 22:00Speaker 3: What problem are you solving?
- 22:01Speaker 1: Not really, you're just hoping that people like you. I
- 22:05Speaker 1: want to hear your opinion, Like, making yourself the brand
- 22:07Speaker 1: is so harder than creating a product.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Is not a day.
- 22:11Speaker 5: And it's like also on the podcast level, you're trying
- 22:14Speaker 5: to you're trying to make people enjoy the content that
- 22:16Speaker 5: you're making because people on the internet are very judgmental.
- 22:20Speaker 3: So you just got to.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Watch something wrong and they're like, that's you the You're like,
- 22:24Speaker 5: they could watch one piece of content and you could
- 22:27Speaker 5: do a three hour podcast and that one clip.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, judge you from that one clip.
- 22:35Speaker 5: You know.
- 22:35Speaker 2: And I just learned that people a little stupid, that
- 22:38Speaker 2: a little slow.
- 22:39Speaker 1: They all got like I said, no, they all got
- 22:41Speaker 1: their own traumas that they fighting. So I'm to the
- 22:45Speaker 1: point where if who I'm for is who I'm for,
- 22:48Speaker 1: I'm probably not for a lot of people.
- 22:50Speaker 3: And that's fine.
- 22:50Speaker 2: But that's the thing too. It takes courage to get.
- 22:52Speaker 1: On the mic and a form your own opinion and
- 22:55Speaker 1: not just regurgitate what the fuck you're reading on Twitter
- 22:58Speaker 1: or whatever. Like having your own thoughts and processes is
- 23:02Speaker 1: a thing. And then, like I said, yeah, getting people
- 23:04Speaker 1: to actually want to hear your opinion on things, because
- 23:06Speaker 1: also people do want to listen to people that differ
- 23:08Speaker 1: from them.
- 23:09Speaker 2: We're not a monolist. A lot of us have different experiences.
- 23:12Speaker 1: So I think as long as you're emotionally intelligent, you
- 23:14Speaker 1: can listen to people with differences of vans.
- 23:16Speaker 2: For the people who want to hop into comments and
- 23:17Speaker 2: be like.
- 23:18Speaker 3: This bird ass, whole ass bitch deserves to be lonely.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Them niggas just projecting their own probably intel ass lifestyles.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Yeah, a lot of people, a lot of people projecting
- 23:26Speaker 5: their jobs that they don't want to be in.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Relationships they don't want they don't want to be in
- 23:31Speaker 3: this one. You know, the algorithm will put you in
- 23:34Speaker 3: what you engage in. So if you on some bird
- 23:37Speaker 3: ship are not gonna you engage in, that's gonna come
- 23:40Speaker 3: up in your timeline.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm curious, can we do a fun little game here?
- 23:46Speaker 3: What you're about to ask? Can we look at people's
- 23:48Speaker 3: explore pains?
- 23:49Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, you know, I'm good.
- 23:55Speaker 1: So what we're gonna do is we're all gonna switch
- 23:57Speaker 1: phones and you're gonna look at page.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna look at your explorers.
- 24:03Speaker 3: It's okay. We're gonna watches. We did this already and
- 24:06Speaker 3: we talked minus watches. I love watching in sports, minus cats.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Sports bitches. Listen, food make no sense we're gonna go ahead.
- 24:18Speaker 3: That's as don't make no sense. And then and food, food,
- 24:29Speaker 3: and watches. I will watch a rolex being being put together.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie.
- 24:34Speaker 1: This is the most manly married nigga Explore page I've
- 24:37Speaker 1: ever seen married.
- 24:39Speaker 3: No no, no, I married.
- 24:41Speaker 2: I say married because there are no women on here.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Like I engaged with that content I see, like, you
- 24:48Speaker 1: don't even I don't even like people pictures on Instagram.
- 24:52Speaker 2: You like white women.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Like no, no, no, no, that don't even. That's what
- 24:59Speaker 3: I'm say.
- 25:00Speaker 2: How is there not one black woman on your explore page?
- 25:04Speaker 1: Like not even Jada wait and everybody watching her right
- 25:06Speaker 1: now because of the bullshit.
- 25:07Speaker 2: You don't have not one black woman on.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Your You look at this type of content that I
- 25:11Speaker 3: look up. How do I know about the otter? We're
- 25:16Speaker 3: off the otter.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I'm talking about that.
- 25:20Speaker 1: What I'm saying, you didn't stay on it long enough,
- 25:22Speaker 1: Like that's how algorithms works.
- 25:24Speaker 3: It's what I would. Literally look at this I'm saying,
- 25:26Speaker 3: and you read you look at the things. It looks
- 25:29Speaker 3: like your nails are broken. But we're going to do this.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Why do we have to do this?
- 25:33Speaker 1: They're not broken I just got them done at my
- 25:35Speaker 1: nails the line, and I am a thoughtful, considerate woman.
- 25:38Speaker 3: When you tell someone you're getting your nails done, you
- 25:41Speaker 3: I need these too short? Yes? Do they ever ask
- 25:44Speaker 3: you why?
- 25:44Speaker 2: Of course they do? And you say what And I say,
- 25:46Speaker 2: because I'm a pleaser and I'm considerate.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Let me see, y'all nail let me see. I consider it, y'all.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Are you very considerate?
- 25:58Speaker 5: Bro?
- 26:00Speaker 2: No, but that's what I'm saying, So you consider it.
- 26:03Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 26:04Speaker 3: I get my nails done though.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I love that because you consider it.
- 26:07Speaker 3: But that ain't it ain't it ain't for that.
- 26:09Speaker 1: It's just you don't finger bitches. Yeah, okay, that's you
- 26:13Speaker 1: being considerate. If you let them grow long, you can't
- 26:15Speaker 1: be Edward scissor hands and a girl.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Okay, okay, you feel me like men.
- 26:19Speaker 2: With long nails are dirty nails.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I'm like, there's no way you're putting that nearrow woman, Like,
- 26:24Speaker 1: I think that a part of even just men showing
- 26:27Speaker 1: that they they care about the women that they're even
- 26:30Speaker 1: engaging with. Y'all should take care of your hands. Like
- 26:32Speaker 1: hands go a lot of places, especially when you're intimate.
- 26:35Speaker 3: So like it.
- 26:37Speaker 1: If a man has dirty or long fingernails, it shows
- 26:40Speaker 1: that he really don't give a fuck about pleasing the
- 26:43Speaker 1: woman he's with. And maybe he doing the bending, I
- 26:45Speaker 1: don't know, but there's no fingers going in anywhere if
- 26:48Speaker 1: they're dirty and long.
- 26:49Speaker 5: Well, I think a lot of times that I meant
- 26:52Speaker 5: thought of that. You ain't never thought about niggas having
- 26:55Speaker 5: dirty fingers.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I've seen dirty fingers.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Like imagine a woman you could never put that look
- 27:05Speaker 1: at a man's hands and it's not and it's not
- 27:06Speaker 1: to see if y'all are gay or getting like. It
- 27:09Speaker 1: says a lot about a man who takes care of
- 27:11Speaker 1: their hygiene. And I think nails are a huge part
- 27:15Speaker 1: if you if you care about wiping your ass and
- 27:18Speaker 1: you know, getting it waxed or shaved or manscaping or
- 27:20Speaker 1: whatever you do. If you care that much about down there,
- 27:22Speaker 1: you should care about this people the same way you
- 27:25Speaker 1: you said what.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Some people haven't been taught properly how to do anything
- 27:29Speaker 3: as adults, I know, and they full grown adults, full
- 27:32Speaker 3: grown Well, I think a lot of people don't give
- 27:34Speaker 3: a fuck which is you have. That's crazy.
- 27:37Speaker 5: It's something that you like, you have to care about
- 27:40Speaker 5: hygiene as a man, because everything that I do is
- 27:43Speaker 5: I'm I'm doing it, like breathing, like waving up, brushing
- 27:47Speaker 5: my t f like floss in, like doing all the
- 27:50Speaker 5: things that I'm like, this is normal.
- 27:52Speaker 2: But not only that. It's hard enough for y'all to
- 27:54Speaker 2: get pussy.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Let hygiene not step in the way of that too,
- 27:57Speaker 1: Like there's already so many other obstacles you'll have to
- 28:01Speaker 1: leap over and hop over to even get the attention
- 28:03Speaker 1: of a woman.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I'll be damn, do you get all the way to
- 28:06Speaker 2: the bedroom? She smell a little?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Now you ain't even getting no pussy because you're saying
- 28:10Speaker 1: because you didn't know how to wipe your ass, right,
- 28:11Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like or or now I
- 28:14Speaker 1: thought you were really attractive, but I saw that dirt
- 28:17Speaker 1: other fingernail, and now you ain't never getting this, Like
- 28:22Speaker 1: there's already a I've.
- 28:24Speaker 5: Been saying this trend on on TikTok is there is
- 28:27Speaker 5: it a thing that men aren't approaching women anymore.
- 28:31Speaker 3: I did just see that we got the same type
- 28:34Speaker 3: of algorithm.
- 28:35Speaker 2: I did just see that, and that was crazy because.
- 28:36Speaker 3: That was a black woman. I did just you missed that.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I did just see that. I think there's two things happening.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I think that you have men who still don't know
- 28:53Speaker 1: how to accept projection, and so I think there there's
- 28:57Speaker 1: just a fear based approach to approaching women. But then
- 29:00Speaker 1: I think women are also watching these dumb ass podcasts
- 29:06Speaker 1: and these clickbait shit that automatically makes a woman feel
- 29:09Speaker 1: like they need their bills paid because they had a
- 29:11Speaker 1: conversations with a conversation with you. Right, So, if a
- 29:14Speaker 1: man isn't in the best financial space right now, if
- 29:18Speaker 1: a man isn't secure enough or can't handle rejection, the
- 29:21Speaker 1: idea of approaching a woman who's not only going to
- 29:23Speaker 1: ask for a conversation but also ask for their bills paid,
- 29:26Speaker 1: we're just creating where it's a magnet that's pushing us
- 29:29Speaker 1: away from just having conversation.
- 29:32Speaker 5: Well, here's my opinion, and I'm gonna let you go wrong.
- 29:35Speaker 5: But I think that I think that that that is
- 29:38Speaker 5: the part. But I also think that a man should
- 29:40Speaker 5: be should be financially focused on what he's trying to
- 29:44Speaker 5: do before he's trying to, you know, give a woman
- 29:46Speaker 5: his time.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not saying the nigga gotta be rich.
- 29:53Speaker 5: What I'm saying is that you got to be able
- 29:55Speaker 5: to take care of yourself as a man before you
- 29:57Speaker 5: be trying to You know.
- 29:58Speaker 2: What's the dollar amount y'all do this to women?
- 30:00Speaker 1: What's the dollar amount that a man should make to
- 30:02Speaker 1: be comfortable in order to pursue a woman.
- 30:05Speaker 5: I don't think it's a dollar amount. I think it
- 30:06Speaker 5: depends on how you like to live in your lifestyle.
- 30:08Speaker 2: So then it's all subjective.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Then, so then any man who feels comfortable enough in
- 30:12Speaker 1: this situation.
- 30:14Speaker 5: If you can't go to the bar and buy a
- 30:15Speaker 5: girl of drink, you don't. You don't need to be.
- 30:17Speaker 5: You don't need to be.
- 30:18Speaker 3: I'm the bar because it's an icebreaker, right.
- 30:21Speaker 5: It's like, if you a man, the easiest icebreaker would
- 30:24Speaker 5: be to approach a woman.
- 30:25Speaker 3: I love that, I love you. Yeah, how old are you?
- 30:29Speaker 3: Thirty one?
- 30:30Speaker 2: Okay? Okay, you're still kind of there. I will say
- 30:33Speaker 2: that's missing.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Men will approach you and then try to have a
- 30:37Speaker 1: full blown conversation and not even offer a drink?
- 30:39Speaker 3: Was time?
- 30:41Speaker 2: I agree?
- 30:42Speaker 3: Like? What are we doing? Why are you? Like? Because
- 30:46Speaker 3: be a gentleman. It's not like it's a class though.
- 30:48Speaker 3: What do you mean it's not like it's a taught
- 30:51Speaker 3: behavior you know that's per man to son or grandfather.
- 30:58Speaker 3: It's a movie thing. That's how we learned.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Like men aren't teaching their sons.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Hey, son, when you go to a club, make sure
- 31:05Speaker 1: you buy a woman to drink before you, you know,
- 31:07Speaker 1: start a conversation. No, a lot of these things that
- 31:09Speaker 1: we learned are from movies and film and television. Unfortunately,
- 31:13Speaker 1: like a lot of ways our parents dated, especially if
- 31:16Speaker 1: we grew up in single parent households, they figured shit
- 31:19Speaker 1: out too.
- 31:19Speaker 3: We in our.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Thirties sometimes forty is still figuring out this dating dynamic.
- 31:23Speaker 1: But there's a lot of children made in the same.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Time of course, where a woman and a man.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Can't teach their children how to date or do things
- 31:31Speaker 1: the right way when they're still trying to figure out
- 31:33Speaker 1: what works for them, and a lot of it don't
- 31:34Speaker 1: be working for them.
- 31:35Speaker 2: That's why they single parents.
- 31:36Speaker 3: So that's why I said, it's not like it's taught. Yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 3: it's not taught. So how would you know how to
- 31:42Speaker 3: start the conversation? And it should be explained that the.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Watch hit, watch the movie hit, there we go.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Can we bring mentors back? Can we make mentors there.
- 31:53Speaker 1: There, but it's not it's not no, it's not considered
- 31:57Speaker 1: the mentors unfortunately right now are the male podcasters who
- 32:01Speaker 1: make up words like in collector and sit.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Prospect mentors ask you to buy the courses I'm talking
- 32:06Speaker 5: about the.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Real I'm saying men are looking up to men that
- 32:11Speaker 1: they perceive to be high value men. If we so,
- 32:13Speaker 1: they're looking up to the Joe Budden's, the Cam Newton,
- 32:17Speaker 1: the Shannon Sharps. There there they are the perception of
- 32:21Speaker 1: what men look like.
- 32:23Speaker 3: That's the that's the there. There is no etiquette taught content.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Where would you see someone say this is how you
- 32:33Speaker 3: would approach another adult, whether it be a man or
- 32:36Speaker 3: a female. Where is that content for it? It's on YouTube?
- 32:42Speaker 3: Where is the what I'm telling you, I actually really
- 32:45Speaker 3: like you? How can I make a good gesture to
- 32:48Speaker 3: impress you enough for us to have a conversation to
- 32:51Speaker 3: see if we like each other?
- 32:52Speaker 1: So this is where I kind of agree with him.
- 32:53Speaker 1: What's crazy is then you have those dating and life
- 32:56Speaker 1: coaches ten thousand dollars to teach you how to talk
- 33:01Speaker 1: to a woman.
- 33:02Speaker 5: These niggas courses in the club every night right I'm
- 33:07Speaker 5: around people all day. Okay, so I'm around different personalities,
- 33:11Speaker 5: men and women, right, And I've been doing this for
- 33:14Speaker 5: over ten years, hosting coast and nightclubs, and I've seen
- 33:16Speaker 5: the trajectory of the change that happened. Right back then,
- 33:21Speaker 5: a man would get a section and he would be
- 33:23Speaker 5: excited to walk in with girls or.
- 33:25Speaker 2: To invite women to the table. That doesn't happen.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Exactly, Yeah, but I saw, I saw the change.
- 33:31Speaker 2: When did the change happen?
- 33:32Speaker 5: Is it?
- 33:32Speaker 1: Because I would say it's you would say it's because
- 33:35Speaker 1: of the the money, Like yes, we're like scamming stops scamming.
- 33:40Speaker 5: Up the money drive up and these niggas they have
- 33:45Speaker 5: a real careers, they won't have a real job.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Let's put on it twenty You're right, Yeah, that COVID
- 33:53Speaker 3: happened was because you was outside to it outside. Atlanta
- 33:57Speaker 3: was outside, and Atlanta opened up and everybody came to
- 34:00Speaker 3: So I want.
- 34:01Speaker 1: To go a little bit before pandemic where it kind
- 34:04Speaker 1: of started slowing down, because I even started seeing staple
- 34:06Speaker 1: clubs in New York shut down, like Greenhouse and all
- 34:09Speaker 1: these places started shutting down, and a lot of it
- 34:11Speaker 1: was too If we removed pandemic PPP. Before that, you
- 34:15Speaker 1: had like the tax frauds, scams, drugs. When marijuana also
- 34:19Speaker 1: became legalized, like that took the street money out.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Then you have.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Again where irs and those little like check fraud shits
- 34:28Speaker 1: and all that, it became harder to do that.
- 34:30Speaker 2: So the scams that worked for a.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Lot of people.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Mind you, I also lived in Miami, like two thousand
- 34:35Speaker 1: and nine twenty ten primetime.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Right at lit That was a good time too. That
- 34:41Speaker 3: was a great time.
- 34:43Speaker 1: And so mind you, I worked in the clubs for
- 34:45Speaker 1: seven years, so I saw people coming in throwing money
- 34:50Speaker 1: literally buying bottles to pour it on the ground, and
- 34:53Speaker 1: bottle wars and all those things.
- 34:55Speaker 2: That ended when the scams slowed down.
- 34:58Speaker 3: But then also yeah, started getting federally indicted.
- 35:01Speaker 1: At that part, that part they was getting caught, and
- 35:05Speaker 1: so you had that element of things and then the
- 35:07Speaker 1: pandemic happened.
- 35:08Speaker 3: You keep in mind, that's a lot of people who
- 35:11Speaker 3: in especially in Atlanta, that got caught up in that.
- 35:13Speaker 3: They're out of jail now. So this is like two
- 35:15Speaker 3: because two thousand and Atlanta was crazy too. Hell is
- 35:19Speaker 3: that especially the strip club.
- 35:21Speaker 1: But then you have to realize too, that's our era, right,
- 35:23Speaker 1: So then you have society telling you that thirty five
- 35:27Speaker 1: and up you might be too old to be in
- 35:28Speaker 1: the clubs. So right now you have the Wayians. The
- 35:31Speaker 1: younger coaches would like to go out them and then
- 35:34Speaker 1: when they go out, they don't drink, so you don't
- 35:36Speaker 1: have sections. Everyone's at the bar, maybe getting a drink,
- 35:39Speaker 1: but no them niggas doing bake pins and and.
- 35:43Speaker 5: But you know what a lot of Wayians should do.
- 35:45Speaker 5: They should sign up for the military. And I'm gonna
- 35:48Speaker 5: tell you, because you like killing people that you can
- 35:52Speaker 5: do for free in the military and not go to prison.
- 35:56Speaker 3: I'll come back over here. You still they'll still come back, yeah, charger.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Not they could come back with a charger, you know
- 36:03Speaker 1: what you see what I mean? I thought you were
- 36:06Speaker 1: really gonna go deep here, and then you said they
- 36:08Speaker 1: could come back with.
- 36:09Speaker 5: A charger because I got to simplified. You know, if
- 36:11Speaker 5: we talked to intelligence, gonna go over their heads.
- 36:14Speaker 1: But niggas don't want to have to go live seven
- 36:16Speaker 1: years in the Middle East, Uh like, with none of
- 36:19Speaker 1: the cool stuff.
- 36:20Speaker 3: You just say, hey, brother, I'm trying to keep y'all
- 36:25Speaker 3: out of prison.
- 36:26Speaker 5: I want all my black Waiians to be prosperous, stay
- 36:30Speaker 5: alive and be old enough.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Don't sound like they might. That's not a good idea either.
- 36:36Speaker 3: They will come that fucked up too. Yeah, use you
- 36:39Speaker 3: know them folks that come over back home already we are.
- 36:44Speaker 3: But then you do want the Iraq and kill a
- 36:48Speaker 3: hundred people? You coming back into regular society? What the
- 36:52Speaker 3: hell are you finna do? Wait?
- 36:53Speaker 1: And then you only got a certain amount of time
- 36:56Speaker 1: to sign up for all your benefits and if you don't,
- 36:59Speaker 1: you fuck.
- 37:00Speaker 3: But what's happening now? I mean I get it.
- 37:03Speaker 5: I'm just trying to give an alternative route because nobody's
- 37:05Speaker 5: giving these Yans alternative I mean, how about go to school?
- 37:08Speaker 2: And that just sucks too, because the way the government
- 37:10Speaker 2: working now is it's tricky.
- 37:12Speaker 3: We ain't never heard say I'm excited to go to school.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I don't know what yan is you talking to because
- 37:17Speaker 1: I talked to Wayians? Maybe baby studious.
- 37:20Speaker 3: You talked to Wayans like you like them?
- 37:22Speaker 5: Oh?
- 37:22Speaker 3: I love young men, I love I actually love them.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I like first off, legal legal Okay, So so so
- 37:32Speaker 1: here's here's like, here's like my thought process right so
- 37:38Speaker 1: Awayian to me is twenty eight and under, okay, gen
- 37:41Speaker 1: z and then I like to go like forty five
- 37:47Speaker 1: and up. And it's because I feel like a lot
- 37:49Speaker 1: of men in my age range, the millennial men are
- 37:53Speaker 1: products of the epidemic. We're not getting not getting to
- 38:00Speaker 1: for the autistic spectrum that they probably are. They also
- 38:04Speaker 1: don't believe in talking to the lady in therapy because
- 38:08Speaker 1: it's not seen as cool. And they got it figured out.
- 38:10Speaker 1: And then it's in the era where bitches ain't ship
- 38:14Speaker 1: but holes and tricks. So the way that they view
- 38:16Speaker 1: women and do you know I mean, and so there's
- 38:21Speaker 1: a lot of unlearning that millennial men. I feel like
- 38:25Speaker 1: I have to do in order to be good partners.
- 38:29Speaker 3: I will say. And so for me, I don't deal
- 38:31Speaker 3: with it, I will say. And BT can can attest
- 38:33Speaker 3: because he's been my friend for ten years. I'm about ten.
- 38:36Speaker 3: I'm ten years old in BT, so I did the man.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Ye're both problematic one.
- 38:42Speaker 3: But I had to go to therapy. I was all
- 38:45Speaker 3: over the place. I learned that he was a little bro,
- 38:47Speaker 3: but he was like super Whan. But I was Wyyan
- 38:51Speaker 3: still before Yan was even a thing. When I'm when
- 38:54Speaker 3: I'm what thirty he's.
- 38:55Speaker 1: No ten years ago. We just had the twenty sixteen
- 38:58Speaker 1: on the internet. Like, twenty sixteen doesn't seem like ten
- 39:01Speaker 1: years ago. Crazy, that was ten years ago. I'm outside.
- 39:06Speaker 3: That's twenty sixteen outside when outside was actually fun.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and imagine you were twenty one, he was in
- 39:14Speaker 1: his that's your prime. At thirty one, you might you're
- 39:16Speaker 1: making a little bit more money, you know a few
- 39:18Speaker 1: more people, you have access outside in.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Prime, and that's when you in Atlanta. I feel like
- 39:23Speaker 3: now in Atlanta, that's probably gonna spark another one. But
- 39:27Speaker 3: I feel like now in Atlanta, you don't have to
- 39:29Speaker 3: go outside to be.
- 39:32Speaker 1: How do I how do you identify outside?
- 39:34Speaker 2: What do you mean by that?
- 39:35Speaker 3: Like, you don't have to go hit a whole bunch
- 39:37Speaker 3: of clubs and be out in the Who's Who club
- 39:41Speaker 3: life to be in the culture. You can literally be
- 39:46Speaker 3: on the algorithm, not on his but yes, you could
- 39:50Speaker 3: literally be in the algorithm in a whole different way
- 39:53Speaker 3: and still be a part of the culture. I just
- 39:55Speaker 3: I remember a time in Atlanta where to be in
- 39:58Speaker 3: the culture in Atlanta you had to be in the clubs. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:02Speaker 3: you had to be in the clubs. We'll go out
- 40:04Speaker 3: to something similar or close to it.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I mean outside of the culture. That's that that was,
- 40:08Speaker 1: But even dating is the same way. You literally don't
- 40:11Speaker 1: have to leave your house because you can scroll to
- 40:12Speaker 1: death and tender seeking wherever you want to go and
- 40:18Speaker 1: find a person.
- 40:19Speaker 5: But yeah, like, but that's but that's that's also a
- 40:22Speaker 5: part of why men aren't approaching women because they don't
- 40:25Speaker 5: have to anymore.
- 40:26Speaker 3: Think about it.
- 40:27Speaker 5: A man could get on tender, he can get out
- 40:30Speaker 5: of work double where he working.
- 40:33Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't do the dating ass Swipe left,
- 40:35Speaker 3: swipe right, and then you find who matches with you. Yeah.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I got a homeboy to do that every city he
- 40:40Speaker 3: goes to, and.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I have homegirls that do it too. They'll have a
- 40:45Speaker 1: lunch date and a dinner date set up same.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Day, so my home So my homeboy says, why, because
- 40:51Speaker 5: I said.
- 40:52Speaker 3: So, why don't men approach women anymore?
- 40:54Speaker 5: He said, because why would I be subjective to all
- 40:57Speaker 5: the things that she's looking at on social media when
- 41:01Speaker 5: I could just find somebody that's gonna match with me
- 41:03Speaker 5: and like the things that I like.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Sounds a little vibrational, but yeah, sure, like.
- 41:08Speaker 1: To me, that's the other thing too. We we show
- 41:11Speaker 1: up as and when I say we's just people because
- 41:14Speaker 1: it ain't me a bitch. I'm who you're gonna see
- 41:16Speaker 1: online and who you're gonna get in person. But there's
- 41:18Speaker 1: a lot of people say rare because most people don't.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Most people don't and whether it's a job, like people
- 41:26Speaker 1: meant lie to about their heights, their their careers on social.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Media, all of it. But I mean the same with
- 41:38Speaker 3: same with women.
- 41:39Speaker 1: You might like her online, see her in person, it's like,
- 41:42Speaker 1: hold on, wait one minute, and so like I think
- 41:46Speaker 1: in person though you remove all those things, you get
- 41:48Speaker 1: to just catch that vibe in person.
- 41:49Speaker 2: I'm still a very much in person person.
- 41:51Speaker 5: I like, I like, I like uh in person too,
- 41:55Speaker 5: because motherfuckers be weird.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Weird people talk good on the internet.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Hold on, the word is not weird. They're undiagnosed.
- 42:03Speaker 5: Here you go, because look, you haven't had a good
- 42:08Speaker 5: conversation with somebody on the internet that.
- 42:18Speaker 3: I forgot what it's called.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Uh huh yeah, performing there we go.
- 42:24Speaker 2: They're undiagnosed, that's all.
- 42:27Speaker 3: They're definitely undiagnosed. The motherfuckers. They got no social skills, normal, nothing.
- 42:32Speaker 1: But also you got to think about to going back
- 42:34Speaker 1: to the pandemic. Niggas was in their house, and you
- 42:36Speaker 1: can talk about even the younger generation. Right now, everything
- 42:40Speaker 1: is online, it's not in person.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Listen, my daughter didn't graduate from high school like everybody else.
- 42:46Speaker 3: He ship was one graduated to go to graduation.
- 42:50Speaker 1: So imagine that no prom, no graduation, didn't you didn't
- 42:56Speaker 1: get to go to the movies with friends of the mall.
- 42:58Speaker 2: There was a whole like year and a half where
- 43:00Speaker 2: years everything was aline.
- 43:02Speaker 3: Junior and senior year, no problem. Didn't go outside Junior year,
- 43:07Speaker 3: didn't go to the movies and hang out with friends.
- 43:09Speaker 1: And now imagine they're thrown into a society where we
- 43:13Speaker 1: got an orange cheeto running the office. We're in a
- 43:15Speaker 1: recession that they refuse to kind of admit eggs is
- 43:18Speaker 1: thirty eight dollars sessions. But they don't know any other lives.
- 43:22Speaker 1: So they done got dropped into fucking hell. We could
- 43:25Speaker 1: go back and think of meeting a nigga who might
- 43:28Speaker 1: drop twenty grand in a club. That's not happening right
- 43:31Speaker 1: now that you mean.
- 43:34Speaker 3: To the club. Right. People don't want to go out guys.
- 43:38Speaker 5: Hey.
- 43:38Speaker 3: People want to get separate times for anything, for.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Ever everything like it's it's it's a different world, but
- 43:44Speaker 1: they don't know no different, you know. So I think
- 43:47Speaker 1: it's interesting that we're in a place too where we
- 43:49Speaker 1: just keep seeing all these shifts and it's crazy.
- 43:51Speaker 3: But it's like it's happening like this.
- 43:53Speaker 1: But like for a person your daughter's age, they don't
- 43:56Speaker 1: even know what.
- 43:57Speaker 3: They missed out on main So look, I say it
- 44:00Speaker 3: all the time. I was like, boy, because she she's
- 44:02Speaker 3: a she's a great kid. She goes to work, comes home,
- 44:05Speaker 3: but she still lives with us. I was like, when
- 44:07Speaker 3: I was twenty two, I was never home. Let's I
- 44:11Speaker 3: have my eye place for my cousin wiling the fuck out.
- 44:15Speaker 2: I left home two days after graduating.
- 44:17Speaker 3: High school too, and I never came back. That was
- 44:20Speaker 3: how long visit only? Yeah, it is not the same now.
- 44:24Speaker 3: It was wild. But you have to like, you can't
- 44:26Speaker 3: even afford that you came off. But I lived. I lived.
- 44:30Speaker 3: I lived here.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I moved here after graduating high school two thousand and nine.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I had a two bedroom, two bath over on North
- 44:37Speaker 1: Side Drive. It was seven nineties. Oh I know, is
- 44:40Speaker 1: me and my roommate both paid three nine four fifty.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Be like that now, oh, you gotta have about five
- 44:48Speaker 3: in that same spot.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Sure, and so it's just like you can't afford it.
- 44:54Speaker 5: And that's what people aren't talking about that we we
- 44:58Speaker 5: really are in this recession that nobody wants to talk about.
- 45:00Speaker 3: It's bad. It's bad.
- 45:01Speaker 5: Like you, you can't be eighteen and say, man, I'm
- 45:04Speaker 5: gonna go work a little part time job and then
- 45:06Speaker 5: I'm gonna get my own apartment and you don't have.
- 45:09Speaker 2: But that's what But that's where we're in Delulu.
- 45:11Speaker 1: And when I say we am now talking about women,
- 45:14Speaker 1: you know how difficult it is for you to pay
- 45:16Speaker 1: your bills, but now you're expecting to go meet a
- 45:18Speaker 1: man who's in the same economy as we are.
- 45:20Speaker 3: You expect him to know to be able to pay.
- 45:23Speaker 3: And I hear the same budget show.
- 45:26Speaker 1: My friend this all the time when she wants to
- 45:28Speaker 1: go on dates or when she's looking to pursue somebody.
- 45:30Speaker 2: She's like, well, I just want somebody like I.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Want to be able to go to dinner and like
- 45:34Speaker 1: go out at least once a week. And I said, well, girl,
- 45:36Speaker 1: dinner and hookah on a good night. I was like
- 45:39Speaker 1: three hundred dollars for two people. I said, so you're
- 45:42Speaker 1: expecting someone to have an extra twelve hundred dollars a
- 45:46Speaker 1: month for leisure with you to go out and do
- 45:48Speaker 1: hookah once a week?
- 45:49Speaker 3: How much money to do? That's why I'm how much
- 45:51Speaker 3: money do y'all think men? Men make a man average
- 45:57Speaker 3: how much women? On let's say, on social media.
- 46:01Speaker 1: That's why they say he gotta make at least six figures.
- 46:04Speaker 3: So many we went viral about four or five months ago,
- 46:08Speaker 3: and I said, did you guys notice that in this
- 46:11Speaker 3: society and this economy, most people work to multiple jobs
- 46:16Speaker 3: and a side hustle. Do you know how much time
- 46:19Speaker 3: that takes away from interpersonal like relationships or marriage, or
- 46:23Speaker 3: relationship or fatherhood, motherhood, brotherhood. I can't even tell you
- 46:28Speaker 3: the last time I hung out with my friends, like
- 46:30Speaker 3: on some chill shit. We gotta do it while we
- 46:32Speaker 3: work type shit. You know what I'm saying, Because if
- 46:35Speaker 3: I ain't making no money, I'm gonna take my ass
- 46:37Speaker 3: to the house and enjoying my mortgage.
- 46:39Speaker 1: That's it. And watch all these streaming apps we pay.
- 46:41Speaker 3: Folk, And that's a whole nother thing. Like yeah, nigga,
- 46:44Speaker 3: the NFL bro Why watching an NFL game on Peacock
- 46:49Speaker 3: on Amazon on.
- 46:51Speaker 5: Bro.
- 46:52Speaker 3: The ship used to be on Channel three H channels.
- 46:56Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Charles Berkley just complained about that, like, niggas don't see
- 46:59Speaker 1: us talking enough. It's been half a season and we
- 47:01Speaker 1: don't even get to see Charles and.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Yo flicks just went up again about this. Yeah, the
- 47:12Speaker 3: NFL And just so you know, the NFL is taking
- 47:16Speaker 3: over Christmas.
- 47:17Speaker 2: That was crazy. I didn't like that.
- 47:18Speaker 5: They're like, don't forget about forget basketball. This is the
- 47:22Speaker 5: priest super Bowl show and that had performances.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Ye performed that she started it off. Yeah that channel
- 47:33Speaker 3: from Beyonce.
- 47:35Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, we ain't watching basketball.
- 47:39Speaker 2: You know, it's crazy.
- 47:40Speaker 3: So what I wanted to say, I just wanted to
- 47:43Speaker 3: tell you I want to give your flowers first and
- 47:45Speaker 3: foremore what you have built for yourself, even you and
- 47:48Speaker 3: your co hosts. Man, you guys have added to the
- 47:51Speaker 3: culture in a way that I feel like even me
- 47:53Speaker 3: and b BT can gravit, gravitate towards and say Okay,
- 47:56Speaker 3: I like how they did that. That's something that we
- 47:58Speaker 3: need to work on with our content and ship like that.
- 48:01Speaker 3: So I just want to tell you, man, you're doing
- 48:03Speaker 3: an excellent job. And I saw you up post personal
- 48:06Speaker 3: for the first time when you guys hosted the Black
- 48:09Speaker 3: Effect podcast. Yes, yes, yes, I think that's when we are.
- 48:12Speaker 3: I was yeah, I was like, damn man, that energy
- 48:14Speaker 3: is cool because you never know when you because people.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Who have you met, like we're doing radio with doing
- 48:26Speaker 1: the show, who have you met where it's been like
- 48:31Speaker 1: they never gonna get my support again.
- 48:33Speaker 3: I've met a lot of people. I can't even my god,
- 48:36Speaker 3: it's so many bro like even in.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Terms of interviewing and energy where you're like, yeah, I'm
- 48:41Speaker 1: good never seeing them again.
- 48:43Speaker 5: I remember we interviewed a guest and she arrived like
- 48:46Speaker 5: an hour late. She fell off, but.
- 48:52Speaker 3: Who you remember her name?
- 48:55Speaker 5: Now?
- 48:55Speaker 3: I remember it was a guest. She showed up an
- 48:57Speaker 3: hour late, and she had an attitude with us and
- 49:01Speaker 3: the in interview was.
- 49:02Speaker 1: So bad didn't go out. Yeah still oh wow, okay, okay, okay.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Fans were mad at her too, though, like why are
- 49:11Speaker 3: you acting that in this interview? Oh wow? I don't like.
- 49:14Speaker 5: I don't like when entertainers or guests don't want to
- 49:18Speaker 5: do something and then they're forced to do it because
- 49:20Speaker 5: you have to do content.
- 49:21Speaker 3: Now okay, well.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Let me make this then a little bit more positive.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Who did you meet in person that you thought was
- 49:27Speaker 1: gonna be and you were genuinely surprised with how good
- 49:31Speaker 1: their energy was.
- 49:34Speaker 3: I have someone ahead Cash all okay, oh oh my god.
- 49:40Speaker 1: But just because she's been on the internet for so
- 49:42Speaker 1: long and you know, people talk about her lying about
- 49:45Speaker 1: her age and you know, I never really also saw
- 49:47Speaker 1: her with the other girls, got to got to meet her.
- 49:51Speaker 1: I was like, whatever she put out on the support
- 49:53Speaker 1: her and Monalalea actually.
- 49:54Speaker 3: Like actually like now good energy.
- 50:02Speaker 1: And again especially the women tricky, the women.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Being a little tricky, especially with other women. It's just tricky.
- 50:09Speaker 2: But yeah, Cash taw was, I was like, bitch, whatever
- 50:12Speaker 2: you put out on the sun.
- 50:13Speaker 3: We're also on the radio, so we interview so many people,
- 50:16Speaker 3: and people suck. It's why I lean into this. And
- 50:18Speaker 3: we've had some sucky interviews. But it doesn't say only
- 50:20Speaker 3: because the person is like, uh, they're not good in
- 50:23Speaker 3: meaty like okay, so they're just gonna have a crappy
- 50:27Speaker 3: interview because they.
- 50:28Speaker 5: Just have to protect some of the artists, because some
- 50:32Speaker 5: big artists really don't know how to know more.
- 50:34Speaker 1: More artists needs to be like fucking Bryce and Tyler
- 50:36Speaker 1: and Les.
- 50:37Speaker 3: Literally just my favorite artist, my favorite person, one of
- 50:40Speaker 3: my one of my favorite people to talk to. His Davy, though.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I love talking to though.
- 50:44Speaker 2: Okay, I hear his name pronounced different.
- 50:48Speaker 3: He says you said, he says you can say or whatever,
- 50:50Speaker 3: and we interviewed before he can say, it's not da
- 50:53Speaker 3: vido David. His name is David. I was born here
- 50:59Speaker 3: in Atlanta. Yea from Atlanta, Nigeria. That's just his name.
- 51:04Speaker 3: He has a very long name. Okay, so it's not David,
- 51:11Speaker 3: So it ain't David.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, but okay, I can see, Okay.
- 51:15Speaker 3: But he's always definitely super positive and and so cool
- 51:19Speaker 3: to talk to and and opens up and gives us
- 51:21Speaker 3: extra information and breaks the internet with us. T is
- 51:24Speaker 3: another one with us. I like Booz. He's definitely a
- 51:29Speaker 3: fun interview.
- 51:30Speaker 2: I'm sure he's fun. He's a fun interview.
- 51:34Speaker 3: You ever interviewed him? I don't care to, Okay, you don't.
- 51:39Speaker 2: I don't like his.
- 51:41Speaker 3: Views on things.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Yeah, he's too homophobic for me to actually want to
- 51:44Speaker 1: sit across from. Like, I think he's overly ignorant to
- 51:49Speaker 1: where I would.
- 51:50Speaker 3: I think you should talk to him. I think not.
- 51:52Speaker 2: You also dated my friends, so I'm going.
- 52:00Speaker 1: You know you like you know, like when you uh,
- 52:03Speaker 1: when when uh.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Somebody dates somebody and they really like and it's just like, girl,
- 52:08Speaker 2: well if you like it, I love it.
- 52:09Speaker 1: It was that and then just everything after jail and
- 52:12Speaker 1: when he got out, just the things.
- 52:13Speaker 3: That he's to see the.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Real not really no, because again I wasn't.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I didn't date him, so no, So to me, my
- 52:24Speaker 1: perception is based on like what what I've heard him say,
- 52:29Speaker 1: and it's just like.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Not to be someone that wants to Here's the thing.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I'm cool with me and someone else having a disagreement
- 52:41Speaker 1: or not seeing life the same way, but the same way.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Like I wouldn't platform and Andrew Tate or like them
- 52:46Speaker 1: niggas from Fresh and Fit.
- 52:48Speaker 2: That's the kind of way I see him.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Like that rhetoric is you think he's more like a
- 52:55Speaker 1: shock not even shock.
- 52:56Speaker 3: I just think his.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Rhetoric on on parenting, on sexuality is dangerous. Like also
- 53:05Speaker 1: a nigga, you paid for prostitutes for your underage children,
- 53:09Speaker 1: Like what those kids now have to endures as adult
- 53:14Speaker 1: men is now going to trickle down into society, like
- 53:17Speaker 1: you don't like gay women, but you have a lesbian daughter,
- 53:21Speaker 1: and like the things that you say about like homosexuality,
- 53:25Speaker 1: I just I just can't rock with it. Also as
- 53:27Speaker 1: somebody who is like and I know, like he just
- 53:31Speaker 1: sat with Jason Lee on Hollywood and Locke.
- 53:33Speaker 3: And he was like, man, I didn't even know you
- 53:35Speaker 3: was gay. Hood Like I'm just you know what I think.
- 53:38Speaker 5: Like I think for me, like being a radio personality
- 53:44Speaker 5: is like I'm always separating the artists from the music,
- 53:50Speaker 5: right because the problem is is like we'll become a
- 53:53Speaker 5: fan of somebody's music and then we see like.
- 53:56Speaker 1: So I do that too, But coming into the media
- 53:59Speaker 1: space fully in control of my creative bitch, ain't gotta
- 54:04Speaker 1: sit down with everybody.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Like I could just sit.
- 54:06Speaker 1: Down and literally talk to just my co host and
- 54:08Speaker 1: do numbers without a celebrity.
- 54:11Speaker 3: So like the idea of you.
- 54:13Speaker 5: Think these people be characters, not the control, but you
- 54:15Speaker 5: don't think these people I be feeling like this shit
- 54:18Speaker 5: everything on the internet is just created now because when
- 54:22Speaker 5: I see certain people on the Internet and then I
- 54:24Speaker 5: interview and I'll be like you seem like two different people.
- 54:28Speaker 1: But their music you could be a fan of Like,
- 54:30Speaker 1: if you don't see them engaging or interacting with people,
- 54:33Speaker 1: you're not gonna really know who they are.
- 54:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 54:36Speaker 1: It's funny because no, you said, do you think they're characters?
- 54:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna characters, weird, undiagnosed, all the same shit, Like
- 54:46Speaker 1: I think that they are socially awkward. And unfortunately, you
- 54:50Speaker 1: have to understand when you're thrown into celebrity, you don't
- 54:53Speaker 1: get to be a human anymore either, So now you
- 54:56Speaker 1: have to figure out how to relate to people. You
- 54:59Speaker 1: could wake up and be having a miserable day.
- 55:01Speaker 3: You could be.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Cramping on your period. A nigga could have just like
- 55:05Speaker 1: broke your heart. You find out your mama stole money
- 55:08Speaker 1: from you. Now you got to come onto a goddamn
- 55:10Speaker 1: radio show and be jolly and happy, like the way
- 55:13Speaker 1: that celebrities even sometimes have to interact the same we
- 55:17Speaker 1: do as you know, radio hosts and podcasters. We remove
- 55:24Speaker 1: the element of humanity and just being a person a
- 55:27Speaker 1: lot of times when we have to do this because
- 55:29Speaker 1: a lot of times if you don't want to do it,
- 55:32Speaker 1: you still have to because it's not your job.
- 55:34Speaker 5: Yeah, it is interesting that talking becomes a job when
- 55:40Speaker 5: you go to work, Like when I get to the station,
- 55:43Speaker 5: I kind of nerve my personal life and you know, family,
- 55:47Speaker 5: and I really don't like if I have family and
- 55:50Speaker 5: friends text me.
- 55:51Speaker 3: I gotta nerve that because I gotta.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Focus on this, right because at the end of the day,
- 55:56Speaker 5: this is helping all of us, of.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Course, because it's a job. That's what I'm saying, Like
- 55:59Speaker 2: I can.
- 56:03Speaker 1: If you wake up one day and you really sick,
- 56:05Speaker 1: or you don't feel well, or you got a lot
- 56:06Speaker 1: of time, you got PTO, you got you know, paid
- 56:09Speaker 1: time off, you could take a day off, you could.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Go for bereathing all the things.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Like in my case, sometimes I don't have the option.
- 56:18Speaker 1: We don't put it on the schedule. We got a
- 56:20Speaker 1: whole team that has to come in. We done booked guests.
- 56:24Speaker 1: You if you woke up in a bad mood that morning, bitch,
- 56:27Speaker 1: you gotta get it together. And again, sometimes that becomes
- 56:29Speaker 1: hard for people. And so you know, sometimes I try
- 56:32Speaker 1: not to hold something over someone. But like I said,
- 56:35Speaker 1: even back to go see like I don't heard him
- 56:37Speaker 1: say enough stuff. He believes it and I'm not here
- 56:39Speaker 1: to change your mind. But I also don't want to
- 56:41Speaker 1: platform some of that rhetoric.
- 56:42Speaker 3: No, I completely understand.
- 56:44Speaker 5: I just like I said, it's even when I like,
- 56:47Speaker 5: you will see an artist like soldier boy, right okay,
- 56:49Speaker 5: and then you will see him yell and scream till
- 56:52Speaker 5: the top of this person, yes, and then you'll talk
- 56:55Speaker 5: to him in person.
- 56:57Speaker 3: And he's like the chillest guy ever.
- 56:58Speaker 5: So I'm like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, are we
- 57:01Speaker 5: like is this like the movies, Like, is this like okay, Denzel,
- 57:06Speaker 5: We're watching him in the movie theaters and then we
- 57:08Speaker 5: see him in person.
- 57:09Speaker 3: Now he's actually like, well, okay.
- 57:11Speaker 1: So here's my question only because I know it's a
- 57:13Speaker 1: current topic right now in terms of if we're talking performative, right,
- 57:17Speaker 1: we just watched for the last two three years, Kai
- 57:20Speaker 1: Sanat be the most funny, goofy, bubbly guy ever, not
- 57:25Speaker 1: a nigga over in fashion week, not smiling, dressing all black,
- 57:30Speaker 1: like looking like an artist.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Because now he's dropping.
- 57:33Speaker 1: This line and now he's reading books, and there becomes
- 57:36Speaker 1: a part of where, yeah, we question if we've seen
- 57:38Speaker 1: you one way for all this time, and then with
- 57:41Speaker 1: the flip of a squid a switch because the bitch
- 57:42Speaker 1: broke your heart. Now you don't smile. Like to me,
- 57:45Speaker 1: that's the thing. I think that some people lean into
- 57:49Speaker 1: performing things. But also we don't know these people. Yeah,
- 57:51Speaker 1: so when I'm seeing people question the performative nature of
- 57:54Speaker 1: a Kai Sanat, I'm like, hmm, maybe he's growing, but also, bitch,
- 57:59Speaker 1: he only twenty two, not much growth there.
- 58:00Speaker 2: He got a long way to go to really like mature.
- 58:03Speaker 3: I don't know, it's interesting.
- 58:04Speaker 5: I think I think, first of all, I love everything
- 58:06Speaker 5: that Constannet has accomplished in a short period of time.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 58:10Speaker 5: I think with Constanette, I think he just blew up
- 58:12Speaker 5: too fast man.
- 58:13Speaker 3: For his age.
- 58:14Speaker 5: I think, yeah, he's accomplished things that people have been
- 58:19Speaker 5: in this business for twenty thirty years and he's accomplished
- 58:22Speaker 5: that five years.
- 58:24Speaker 2: If that less than that? That's why I said less
- 58:26Speaker 2: than that.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Like I'm over here, like, bro, you got Lebron James,
- 58:29Speaker 3: Like you.
- 58:29Speaker 5: Have money, af Yeah, you got the money, you got
- 58:31Speaker 5: the fame, you got the research access access.
- 58:34Speaker 3: So it's like at some point you're going to burn out.
- 58:39Speaker 2: Which I think that's what we're seeing too.
- 58:40Speaker 5: Imagine if we had to do this for twenty how
- 58:43Speaker 5: long they stream twelve hours done?
- 58:44Speaker 2: He did like twenty four hours a day for days
- 58:46Speaker 2: on it.
- 58:47Speaker 5: Imagine if we did this for twenty four hours and
- 58:49Speaker 5: no social life.
- 58:50Speaker 2: I wouldn't I wouldn't like that will be.
- 58:53Speaker 3: A little bit more lipt though, because that's more no
- 58:56Speaker 3: the streaming.
- 58:56Speaker 1: The streaming right now, like we're gonna see it told
- 59:00Speaker 1: that's taken on people the same way they're still studying
- 59:02Speaker 1: CTE with these football players. It's the same thing that
- 59:04Speaker 1: we're going to see the impact of the pandemic of streaming,
- 59:08Speaker 1: of this culture where now people are in school. They
- 59:11Speaker 1: don't want to be doctors, lawyers, accountant. They want to
- 59:15Speaker 1: be podcasters and streamers.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Somebody still got you know what I mean, just another
- 59:21Speaker 3: occupation that once never existed, because I'll never forget. In
- 59:24Speaker 3: sixth grade, my teacher told me that this wasn't a
- 59:26Speaker 3: real job. Wait, radio wasn't a real job. I always
- 59:29Speaker 3: wanted to be on the radio since I was a kid.
- 59:31Speaker 3: I dreamed about being on the radio. I looked up.
- 59:33Speaker 3: I love listening to the radio. I can listen to
- 59:35Speaker 3: radio all the time. Right anytime we go to another city,
- 59:38Speaker 3: I love to turn onto the radio station in that
- 59:40Speaker 3: city so I can hear what's going on there, right.
- 59:43Speaker 3: I've been like that since I was a kid, and
- 59:45Speaker 3: my teacher told me that wasn't a real job.
- 59:47Speaker 1: You know what's crazy about radio and sixth grade. It's
- 59:49Speaker 1: also because at one point they were well still kind
- 59:53Speaker 1: of nout celebrities, right, So it would be like a
- 59:56Speaker 1: black boy saying, I want to be like Michael Jordan,
- 59:58Speaker 1: I want to be a basketball player. I think that
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: in radio, people stay for so long that people don't
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: see that there's an opportunity to fit in, because it's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: it's gonna be Steve Harvey, it's gonna be you know,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: it's gonna be Ricky Smiley, it's gonna be all these
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: people that have been there for twenty thirty years. The
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: people that were on the radio when I was going
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: to daycare are still on radio today.
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: I moved to Atlanta because I was in high school
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: and I came to Atlanta for a summer and I
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: was like, Oh, there are black people that make money
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: and we live amongst each other and no one robs
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: each other.
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: Hmm.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: I saw and I saw a guy that was as
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: young as me at the time in a ferrari, and
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I just thought that that was the craziest shit. I
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: was like, Wow, it's like one thing I thought. I
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: think it's dope about Atlanta. We have people that make
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: beats that are multi millionaires. Yep. Making beats Yep. I'm
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: not saying that that's a simple job, but you can
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: make millions of dollars producing songs, not just rapping them
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: and writing them or making beats is just like something
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: that just is fascinating to me.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I mean, I'm curious to know what. I mean, it's interesting.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: I know they're talking about the need to teach financial literacy,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: they're talking about the removal of critical race theory. But
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I do wonder if options like that are being presented
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: in schools with the difference of careers.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: That's available to I think, hey, I need to be taught.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Like, there's a lot of things that I just wonder
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: if educationally they're keeping up with the time, because now
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: there's still no sex education.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: No, they're not keeping with the sex education is required
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: in college though it's just crazy by the kids, they
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: fucking by it. They already they is already it's too late.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: I had already looking at us that we're going over time.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: But I had my first sex education situation when I
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: saw this girl get pregnant in sixth grade. Oh yeah,
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: there was a.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Daycare in my high school.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: Damn ev evan.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: In my high school, there was a daycare. So that's
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's too late for sex.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Education, dude, this girl got pregnant in sixth grade.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: There's still men that don't know where blood comes out
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: of a vagina.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Her son is twelve, they be horny. I think the
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: blood come out of pe hole. So like, bro, the
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: girl who had the baby son is your age or
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: maybe a couple of years younger than you. We followed
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: you on Instagram. Damn she had in sixth grade. I
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: was that's crazy old, thirteen crazy maybe twelve, but yeah,

- 1:03:13Speaker 3: I was stunning.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: Damn, that's crazy.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: I want to problem every year except for my senior

- 1:03:25Speaker 3: Well, we didn't do a segment, and we need to
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: do a segment with you. It's the mental health checking.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: How does Mandy, oh great take care never better?
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: How do I take care of my mental health? First off,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I talked to the lady, so I do have a therapist.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Shout out to Serena. I've been in therapy for five
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: She goes you know her name. But yeah, I've.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Been going for since twenty twenty one.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: That's good and never never better. Well, I'm even so good.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I now moved it to bi weekly. I was going
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: weekly for weekness, but now I go by weekly now
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: and I'm great. I have a great way of talking
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: with my friends, my partners, my business partners. Now Like
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: I'm in the best space I've been in a long time.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: I like this. Yeah, I'm getting to the lady.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: I talk to the lady.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: To the lady, man, lady gonna get you right, man, and.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: It might be able to diagnose you. It's never too.

- 1:04:22Speaker 5: you are to you gotta talk to a therapist.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: That part, because you.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Have you're you got to be honest with your therapy.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: You have to be honest and accountable. That's it. You
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: have to unpack. You have everything. You don't say. It's
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: uncomfortable though.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: It's uncomfortable because when you unpack that childhood trauma and
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: mirrorhead comes out and you have to explain that so
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: they can really do a deep dive in your life.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: That ship could get dark, but gets dark. Yeah, that's
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: and it's part of the stage that you have to
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: go through. It's crazy.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: You'll see the light. The ladies get you a man
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: that with the therapy.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: Fact man or in it go together to that that
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: that I wouldn't recommend it if you're not strong together. Yeah, boy,
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: you go together and it'll break you up.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: It could break you up, break because it could be
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: get broken finger pointing this person.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: I can also be unpacking some things that you probably
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: like you didn't know about. You think like that? Do
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: you think like that? I love it? Yeah, listen, you
