- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hello and welcome again to another episode of Grace Explained.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Today we're going to go ahead and we're going to talk about what happens when you sneeze.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: And I bring this up because it's kind of a joke around our house, but the lesson is titled God Bless You.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: And the reason that I talk about what happens when you sneeze is that usually when I sneeze or if I hear someone else sneeze, I don't usually say, God bless you.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: And there's a reason for that, and that's what we're going to look at today in the study.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: And my wife and I were talking one time, and she and she would say, God bless.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: And she would say to me, if I sneeze, she'd go, Well, God bless you.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: And I go, Well, he already has.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: And she goes, and you know, and she would look at me funny and I go, Well, we're we're already blessed.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: And so it kind of brought up a little bit of a discussion on what we have in Christ and what God has given us.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: So this was mentioned again at dinner the other week.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: And so I decided, you know what, let's let's talk about this because I think some people don't understand the things that we have already in Christ.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: So in that process, we're going to kind of look at um what God has done for us and the blessings that we have already and uh just kind of look at at blessings.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: But to do that, let's and and it's interesting because you hear people, you know, they they you hear people talk about God blessing them, you know, or being blessed by a person, um, which there's not a man that can bless you.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, so we'll we'll just get that out at the very beginning.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: There's there's no man that can bless you.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: God can bless you, and if you're saved and you've trusted Christ as your savior, then you will have you are already blessed.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: And again, that's what we'll that's what we're looking at.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: So we don't need a we don't need a person or even God to bless us today if we're already, for lack of a better term, a Christian.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: But um let's go ahead and let's start in Deuteronomy chapter 11.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Deuteronomy chapter 11, and we're gonna read verses 26 through 27.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: And again, we're gonna compare what was written under the law to the nation of Israel, and then we'll look at that again for us um today as members of the body of Christ in the dispensation of grace.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: So Deuteronomy chapter 11, verse 26, it goes, Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: A blessing if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day, and a curse if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods which ye have not known.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: So here Moses is speaking to the nation of Israel, and he's telling them, God's gonna either bless you or curse you.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: He'll bless you if you listen and you obey the commandments of the Lord.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: You you keep the law.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: But he's gonna curse you if you choose not to obey the commandments of the Lord, and you choose not to keep the law.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: And of course, the the one thing he goes after, and which was honestly the major, the biggest thing and the major thing that Israel had an issue with, was they kept turning to other gods.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: You know, and and that's the number one, if you think about the Ten Commandments, that's the number one commandment, is that there's one God.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: And they kept, for some reason, going after other gods, and this became an issue, but they would not receive the blessings if they did this, but they would receive the blessings if they kept the law and they kept the commandments.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: So in the in the Old Testament, under the law, it's an if-then principle.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: We've talked about this before.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: If you do this, then I will do this for you, I will bless you.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: If you don't do this, then I will curse you.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: So these are definitely things that are um an issue and things that I even hear people try to use today.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: You know, if you if you do certain things the way God wants you to, he's gonna bless you.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: But if you've you've got um unconfessed sin in your life, or you've got issue, you know, things that you've done you shouldn't have done, then God's gonna curse you.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: And that's just not true.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: God's not working that way today in the dispensation of grace.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: Now, if you will, um we'll turn to Galatians chapter 3 and verse 14.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Galatians chapter 3 and verse 14, and we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna look at again some more of the blessings, but now we're talking about the Gentiles.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Remember, there's a difference.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: You got the nation of Israel, and then everybody else in the world are Gentiles, and that's who we are.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: We're Gentiles.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: So in Galatians chapter 3 and verse 14, he says that the blessing of Abraham might come unto come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: So there's a blessing that God gave to Abraham, and part of that blessing was he said, Through you, Abraham, all the nations of the earth are going to be blessed.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: And if you if you're in Galatians 3, if you jumped up to verse 6, he says, Even as Abraham believed God, it was counted to him for righteousness.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: He was justified.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: He goes, Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: So who are the gentiles?
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: We're heathen.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: You know, you hear people talk about, oh, you know, those people are heathen, you know, because the because of the horrible things that they're doing.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Well, guess what?
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: The Gentiles are heathen.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: We're Gentiles, we're the heathen.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: He says that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: So what he was telling the Galatians, he says, Listen, if you've had put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, now you're gonna receive that blessing of having eternal life because of your faith, and you're blessed with faithful Abraham.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: So this is simply just um explaining to the to the saints at Galatia that listen, we're we're we're all blessed because of Abraham's blessing, we're all blessed, but now we're all blessed by not just believing in God, but believing in what God has for us today, which is simply how that Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: And by trusting in that and putting faith in that, we have eternal life.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: Um now, if you will, go to Ephesians chapter 1, verse 3.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: And this is the verse that I use when people go, Well, how come you don't say, you know, we'll bless you?
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Well, because I can't bless you, or how come you don't say, well, God bless you?
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Well, again, if you're a saint, you're already blessed.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: And so this is the verse that that I reference when people ask that question.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Ephesians chapter 1, verse 3 says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: So when we look at this verse, we see here that that we, he says, God the Father, who hath that that word there hath is past tense.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: We're already blessed.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: He hath blessed us.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: There's nothing that we do to receive a blessing.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: There's nothing that we do to receive more from God.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: There's nothing that we can do to receive something more.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: He hath blessed us with what?
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: All spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: So who are our blessings in?
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: They're in Christ.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: And where's Christ?
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: He's at seated at the right hand of God in heavenly places.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: So where are our blessings?
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: In heavenly places.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: And what kind of blessings are they?
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Spiritual blessings.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: And there's so many Christians today that they think the moment that they're saved, that God is now, his whole purpose is to go ahead and to give them the if they do things right, if they're doing the things that God tells them to do, if they're if they're um acting and living the way that they should live, then God's going to bless them physically.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: And that's not what this verse is talking about.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: And there's not a verse in Paul's epistles where he talks about us receiving physical blessings.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: If it's actually contrary to Paul's ministry, Paul didn't receive physical blessings, Paul had infirmities, Paul was thrown in prison, Paul was beaten, Paul.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: It was the opposite.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: Paul didn't have a great house.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: He actually gave up all that stuff.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: When he trusted Christ on the road to Damascus, he gave that all up.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: So Paul didn't have a big house and said, Oh, you know, because I did this, God blessed me with a big house, or God blessed me with a great job, or God blessed me with this, or God blessed me with that.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: Now, try now understand this, and everything give thanks.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: So there's nothing where I'm saying, listen, the things that you have, don't be thankful for.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: You should be thankful for.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: But to believe that God gave you those things because you're acting right, living right, doing things right, whatever it is, it's just not true.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Because there are many, many saints all over this world and in this country who are struggling.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: And they're not struggling because of a lack of faith, they're not struggling because of sin in their life, they're not struggling, they're struggling because they just live in a sin-cursed world and things are tough.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: So to say that you can only get this stuff if God does it for you.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: It's just these things aren't true.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: They're just not true.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Um, God has blessed you.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Look at Romans chapter 8 and verse 32.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: So when we understand that we have all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, then our focus changes.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: It's not about what we can achieve, what we can get.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: Um, we need to get to that bigger house, we need to get to that, you know, that nicer car.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: We need that's not what that's not what our life is about.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: That's not what we're doing.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: So we need to understand those things.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: Um, Romans chapter 8 and verse 32, Paul's speaking, and he says, He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: So again, Christ died on the cross for our sins, but God commendeth his love toward us, and while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, but delivered him up for us all.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: How shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: So there you go.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: There's a verse.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: God's gonna give you all things.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: And that that that verse there is a verse that tells us that we have everything, but it's everything in Christ.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: And what happens is people expect that God's gonna give them things physically on this earth, and it's just not the way it works.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: What we have, we have not earthly blessings, but we have spiritual blessings.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: It's not what can I get from God to make my life easier.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Sometimes saints, their lives aren't easier, Christians' lives are are tougher.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: And it's not where God said, I'm gonna save you from your problems, I'm gonna save you from your issues.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: No, it's it's the opposite.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: What God's saying is, I'm going to save you and give you some spiritual things to help you get through all of those things.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: So when you have issues and problems in your life, you may handle them, you may think differently, and you may react differently through them, which makes other people look at you and go, What's going on, what's going on?
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Well, it has nothing to do with your spiritual, I mean your physical um things that you have or don't have, but it's you're focusing on spiritual things.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: So here's some of the spiritual blessings, not all of them, or it would take forever.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Here's some of the spiritual blessings that we have in Christ, that God has already given us.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: We have righteousness and justification.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: We are declared righteous through Christ.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: 2 Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 21.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: 2 Corinthians 5 21, he says, For he hath made him to be sin for us.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: God hath made Christ to be sinned for us who knew no sin.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: Christ never sinned in word, thought, or deed.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: But he was made sin for us.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: He died on the cross for our sins.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: That we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: You know when God sees us, he doesn't see us as a sinner.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: But when God sees us, he sees us as a perfect, mature, full grown son of God.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: That's who he sees.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: So we are not a sinner in God's eyes, but we are a son in God's eyes.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: He sees us as perfect and complete.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Um the next one is forgiveness.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: What's another one thing that spiritual thing that God has given us?
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: He has given us forgiveness.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Colossians chapter 2, 13.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: We we've looked at this verse a few weeks ago.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: He says, And you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together, made alive, with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: Again, how many trespasses do we have?
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: How many sins has he forgiven you?
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Not some of your sins, not the sins until the moment you trusted Christ, and then you have to do something to get those sins after that forgiven.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: No, the moment that you trusted Christ, all of your sins were forgiven.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Past, present, and future.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Every single one.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Because remember, when he died on the cross for our sins, how many of our sins were future the moment he died for us?
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Every single one of them.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: So all of our sins are forgiven.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: And he has made us alive in Christ, and he has forgiven us all trespasses in Christ.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: We have a spiritual baptism.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: A spiritual baptism where we are identified with Christ.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: We have been baptized into one body, but the spiritual baptism has identified us with Christ, not just the idea of baptizing us into one body, the body of Christ, but when we were baptized into that one body by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ, we are identified with Christ.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: And if you look at Romans chapter 6 and verse 3 and 4, Romans 6, 3 and 4, we are identified with Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: This is not a ceremony that's that's done by a man.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: This is simply a spiritual thing that has been done by the Holy Spirit the moment we put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: So if you look in Romans chapter 3, our six and verse 3, know ye not that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: The moment that you put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit baptized you into the body of Christ, you were identified with Christ and you were identified with the death.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: Remember, we didn't die on the cross for our sins.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Christ died on the cross for our sins.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: But the moment we put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, guess what?
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: We are identified with Christ as if we did die for our sins.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Even though we could never do it, that's how God sees us.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: We are identified with Christ, and because Christ did it, we were baptized into his death.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Therefore, verse 4, we are buried with him by baptism into death, that like as Christ was raised up by the dead by the from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: As Christ Himself was raised up from the dead, our identification with Christ has raised us up from the dead.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: We're no longer in that old fleshly body.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Are we physically?
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Yes, but spiritually we're not.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: We're made alive.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: We've been made alive, and we now should walk in newness of life.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: So we are we are baptized unto his death, we are buried with him by baptism, and we are raised up from the dead so that we can walk in newness of life.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: So another spiritual blessing that we have is that we have a spiritual baptism.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: And then another one is we're heirs of God.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: As you know what an heir is.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: An heir is someone who, if a person dies and they they have an heir, they leave them all the things that they have, you know, all the all the riches and the and the things they have.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Um look at Romans chapter 8.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Romans chapter 8 and verse 14.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Romans chapter 8, verse 14, he says, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: So if you're led by the Spirit of God, if you again put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and God, the Holy Spirit lives in you, then guess what?
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: You are a son of God.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but ye have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry of a father.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Now, that spirit of adoption isn't the idea of what we think of.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: We think of adoption as a child that doesn't have a parent, and then two people come and they adopt that child to come into their family.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: That's true, it happens to us.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: We become part of God's family, but it's more than that.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: That term adoption is an adopted son is a full grown, mature son of God.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: We are a full grown mature son of God.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: Because why?
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: We are in Christ, as we've seen in the other verses.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: We're in Christ, so we're a full-grown, mature son of God.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: And he says that we have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: You know that term Abba Father has only been used one other time.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Well, it's been used twice, another time in Galatians 4, but won't only one other person has ever used that term Abba Father, and you know who that is?
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: The Lord Jesus Christ.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: When he was In the garden, and he was and he was praying to God the Father, and he said, To let this cup pass from me, but not my will, but thine be done.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: And he cried out, Ah, the Father.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: So the relationship that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has with God the Father, guess what?
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: It's the exact same relationship that we have with God the Father.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: That's a huge spiritual blessing.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: So we have that same relationship with God the Father, where we cry out to him, Abba Father.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: And then in verse 16, he says, the Spirit itself beareth witness with our Spirit that we are the children of God.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: And if children, then what?
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Heirs.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: If so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: So guess what?
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Everything that Christ has, we have.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Because one, we're in Christ, we're identified with Christ, God sees us in Christ, but the second thing is that is that we're joint heirs with Christ.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Everything that Christ has, we have, because we are a joint heir with him.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: So all the things that he inherits, all the things that he has, which is everything, we have.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Because of who we are in him.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: We're children of God, we're sons of God, we're adopted in him.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: We cry Abba Father, we're heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: This is a spiritual blessing.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: This has nothing to do with what job we have, with what house we have, with how much money we make, with what car, what kind of car we drive, has nothing to do with any of those things.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: It has to do with spiritually, with what we have in Christ and what God has given us in Christ.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: So by God's grace, He has given us everything there is.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: And that we have already been blessed.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: How much have we been blessed?
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: We've been blessed with all spiritual blessings.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: Where?
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: In heavenly places.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: See, God is not giving us things and he's not holding things back from us.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: He's not saying, hey, if you do this, I'll give you this, but if you don't do this, I'm not going to give you this.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: God's not doing that.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: That's what he did with the nation of Israel.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: We're not the nation of Israel.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: We are members of the body of Christ.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: And if we're members of the body of Christ, we're join heirs with Christ.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: And so he's not holding anything back, but he has already given us all things.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: And what are all the things that he's given us?
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Not earthly things, but what?
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Spiritual things.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: We have all spiritual things in Christ and all spiritual blessings in Christ.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: So we'll close with Colossians chapter 3.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: Colossians chapter 3 and verse 1 and 2.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Colossians 3, verse 1 and 2, he goes, if ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: What are we to seek?
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: Are we to seek for things here on the earth?
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Or is there's our focus to be on again getting better and nicer things?
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: And that's that's our no.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: We are to seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: He said, set your affections, verse 2, set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: So our desires, our our affections, the things that we want aren't going to be earthly things, but they're going to be heavenly things.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: They're going to be spiritual things.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: So it's very easy for me to say, I have already been blessed.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: There's nothing more that I can get.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Now, granted, am I blessed by my wife?
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: I'm very blessed.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Very I say lucky at times, but I but I always say blessed.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: I'm very blessed.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Um blessed by my children, blessed grandchildren.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: You know, so we have blessings and we we talk about those things, but we're talking about not trying or what we need to do to get earthly blessings.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: What we because again, everything we have, we give God the thanks for.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: And so what happens is we we are thankful for all that we have because we've been blessed with all things, but it's not the earthly things that we're thankful that makes us thankful.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: It's knowing what we already have in Christ and all of our heavenly and spiritual things that we have in Christ, and that's what gives us the blessing.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: So we're thankful for that and for that alone.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: If you've never put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, if you don't have these spiritual blessings, if you've not been blessed with all things, if you're still trying to get things on this earth and focus on the things on this earth, let me tell you that all those things are going to be gone one day.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: But in Christ, you can have all things and you can have eternal life.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: If you'll simply put your faith and trust in Him, and Him alone, and quit relying on you or your works or trying to be good or doing good or whatever it may be, but if you put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, then He will not only justify you, give you righteousness and forgive you and baptize you into Christ and make you an heir of God, but you'll have every other spiritual blessing in Christ and heavenly places.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: If you've never put your faith and trust in Him, we pray that you'll do that today.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: If you have any questions, comments, you can always email me at gracexplained at gmail.com.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Until next time.
