- 0:00Speaker 1: So seventen wr Well, Bill O'Reilly, of course, the number
- 0:05Speaker 1: one TV anchor for decades, the number one best selling
- 0:09Speaker 1: non fiction author on Earth.
- 0:11Speaker 2: You can get his latest book, Confronting Evil. It's a
- 0:13Speaker 2: big best seller. You can watch his TV show, Get
- 0:16Speaker 2: the columns everything at billoreilly dot com. Hey, also watch
- 0:20Speaker 2: his YouTube channel. A lot of great stuff there, Bill
- 0:23Speaker 2: O'Reilly on YouTube, and make sure you subscribe there, Bill O'Reilly.
- 0:26Speaker 2: How you doing.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Hanging touts here? Busy week as you know?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, of course the Democrats going nuts over Iran.
- 0:36Speaker 2: He didn't get congressional approval, he didn't do this, he
- 0:39Speaker 2: didn't do that. He did, But when Obama did the Libya,
- 0:42Speaker 2: they had just the opposite position. So should we just
- 0:45Speaker 2: expect this from Democrats?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean there's a pullout today that fifty nine
- 0:51Speaker 3: forty one against the Iran action. Well, when you add
- 0:55Speaker 3: in almost ninety percent of Democrats, we'll pose anything that
- 0:59Speaker 3: Donald Trump did, and then you have some isolationists on
- 1:03Speaker 3: the far right will makes sense. But the Tubet decisions
- 1:08Speaker 3: didn't care about polling numbers at this point. They sensed
- 1:12Speaker 3: weakness in te Iran. They sense that the Persian people
- 1:16Speaker 3: were ready to change their government, and that's what ignited
- 1:22Speaker 3: the action. It's an optional action. Didn't have to do
- 1:25Speaker 3: it now, the Trump people, but they felt that they
- 1:30Speaker 3: had a good chance to overthrow the Mullas because of
- 1:33Speaker 3: the Persian dissatisfaction with that government.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah. You talked to the President about Iran earlier, right, Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Had a long conversation with me. He didn't want to
- 1:44Speaker 3: do the military action. He's not the kind of guy
- 1:46Speaker 3: that likes a lot of bloodshed on his watch. He
- 1:50Speaker 3: wants to be known as a peacemaker. He thinks that's
- 1:52Speaker 3: the way too in answering his presidential legacy, and we
- 1:58Speaker 3: talked about options. I was not very confident that he
- 2:01Speaker 3: was going to be able to make a deal. He
- 2:03Speaker 3: was he thought the Molas would come around, and the
- 2:07Speaker 3: fact that they didn't was insane. And now fifty of
- 2:10Speaker 3: them are talking to our live even as we speak.
- 2:14Speaker 3: You know, these people, they live in a bubble, They
- 2:16Speaker 3: live in a world that doesn't exist. And when the
- 2:20Speaker 3: United States says, look, you either come to a deal
- 2:23Speaker 3: or we're going to hurt you militarily, I mean, he
- 2:26Speaker 3: got to come to the deal. You don't have a
- 2:29Speaker 3: plan B. So Trump is a logical, linear thinker. That's
- 2:36Speaker 3: the way he looks at Well, they don't want to die,
- 2:39Speaker 3: but apparently they didn't care about dying, so they're dead.
- 2:43Speaker 2: You know, he always thinks he's the same thing with Ukraine.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I'll make a deal as soon as I get and
- 2:48Speaker 2: he's the greatest deal maker, and it works in the
- 2:50Speaker 2: business world. I don't think he realized when you get
- 2:52Speaker 2: into international politics, you're dealing with psychopaths and lunatics. There's
- 2:57Speaker 2: just no deal. You can't make a deal with some
- 2:59Speaker 2: of these people, can you.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Well, the big thing is you can uphold the deals
- 3:03Speaker 3: that you make in business. Once you sign that contract,
- 3:07Speaker 3: they have to do it or they get hauled into
- 3:10Speaker 3: court and punished. And an international deal, at least people
- 3:14Speaker 3: could say, yeah, we'll make a deal, we'll sign it,
- 3:15Speaker 3: and then they don't live up to anything. Who's going
- 3:17Speaker 3: to force them. Yeah, that's a big deal. That's the
- 3:21Speaker 3: look Pudin tells Trump all the time. And I know
- 3:24Speaker 3: this to be true. Yeah, I'll make a deal with you. Yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 3: we'll work it out. I mean this has said that
- 3:29Speaker 3: fifty times to Trump and then he doesn't. And what
- 3:34Speaker 3: are you going to do? You can't do anything about
- 3:36Speaker 3: it unless you want to attack Pudin and you can't
- 3:38Speaker 3: do that because of the nukes.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you ever think you know Trump as well
- 3:43Speaker 2: as anybody? Do you ever think, sometimes, especially lately, says
- 3:46Speaker 2: what the hell did I get myself into here? With
- 3:49Speaker 2: this pressure?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Yah? He loves the job. He just likes the content. Action.
- 3:54Speaker 3: You know. Donald Trump's an action junkie. He loves stuff,
- 3:59Speaker 3: going around, rolling around challenges. He loves a job. He's
- 4:04Speaker 3: not exhausted, although you know he's going to be eighty
- 4:07Speaker 3: years old and it's taking it. So you can see
- 4:10Speaker 3: him postures a little hunch now, and you know, obviously
- 4:15Speaker 3: age is going to affect him. But he's an amazing
- 4:21Speaker 3: guy in my opinion, the energy level that he brings
- 4:24Speaker 3: and a clarity of thought. And I'm one of the
- 4:27Speaker 3: few people on earth that can really have a conversation
- 4:29Speaker 3: with the man because I don't sear him. I'm not
- 4:33Speaker 3: looking any to get anything from him. I don't work
- 4:36Speaker 3: for him. So as like two guys who's known each
- 4:39Speaker 3: other for thirty five years. And I don't call him,
- 4:42Speaker 3: I don't intrude on him, but when he calls me,
- 4:45Speaker 3: I give my honest opinion. But we're able to speak
- 4:47Speaker 3: in a way that's different than how he speaks to
- 4:52Speaker 3: people who are under him and have to obey him.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And then the press, of course, is out to hurt him.
- 4:58Speaker 3: He knows that I'm not in that category at all.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I'm going to treat him fairly. So I think I
- 5:04Speaker 3: have unique conversations with the man. I can tell you
- 5:07Speaker 3: he's on it because I'm on it. You know that
- 5:13Speaker 3: I know what's going on, and there's very very little
- 5:18Speaker 3: that escapes him and his observations, his ability to access
- 5:26Speaker 3: information to understand both sides. It's really you know, Obama
- 5:31Speaker 3: is like that too. Obama is very crisp in his
- 5:35Speaker 3: mental capacities. But Obama had a whole different agenda than Trump,
- 5:40Speaker 3: and that's why Obama let a lot of things go
- 5:42Speaker 3: that Trump does not.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Hey, he's a surprised everybody this morning announcing he'll go
- 5:48Speaker 2: to the White House correspondence dinner. What does he think?
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if that's a good thing. So
- 5:53Speaker 3: I invited him to the dinner in twenty eleven. It's
- 5:57Speaker 3: amazing how time passes. Fifteen years ago and we sat
- 6:02Speaker 3: there right in front of President Obama as Obama took
- 6:06Speaker 3: him apart. Funny, it was funny. I'm going to run
- 6:09Speaker 3: a clip on the No Spin News tonight, but Broyle
- 6:13Speaker 3: Boy Trump did not like that, and I'm going to
- 6:19Speaker 3: remind everybody what what the whole thing was. I'm not
- 6:22Speaker 3: sure that this is a good decision because I got
- 6:26Speaker 3: to tell you, I've never seen hatred at the level
- 6:30Speaker 3: the Washington Press Corps has for a president ever. Nixon
- 6:36Speaker 3: was loath Oh, they hated him, and they didn't like
- 6:39Speaker 3: Reagan either. But here is a whole different ballgame. So
- 6:43Speaker 3: Number one, it depends who the MC is going to be,
- 6:46Speaker 3: and I'm sure Trump will have a little input on that.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Well they are.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Chelsea Handler or somebody like that.
- 6:52Speaker 2: They already announced no comedian this year, so that's okay.
- 6:56Speaker 3: So that's one of the reasons he's going because he's
- 6:58Speaker 3: not going to get harpooned. But there's got to be
- 7:00Speaker 3: an MC, and it'll probably be this Juju Chang, who's
- 7:06Speaker 3: CBS correspondents added a correspondence association with all of them
- 7:13Speaker 3: hate him, so I'm not sure he's got control over it.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I may go, just like as a bouncer, I may
- 7:24Speaker 3: go I'm not sure yet.
- 7:26Speaker 2: You actually were a bouncer once when when you were
- 7:28Speaker 2: a young guy? Right?
- 7:29Speaker 3: I was. I worked at the wreck Bar in Miami Beach,
- 7:33Speaker 3: the hottest spot in Florida. That was a whole nother story. Boy,
- 7:39Speaker 3: that was hysterical.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Now, that would be a good book. What the hell
- 7:42Speaker 2: went on at that rec bar and heyday of Miami.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm gonna incorporate it in my next book.
- 7:47Speaker 3: That story. There's a kicker to the story that pertains
- 7:51Speaker 3: to today, but I am gonna, I am gonna write
- 7:54Speaker 3: about that. I was a high school teacher and I
- 7:56Speaker 3: had to make extra money because I'd like to eat
- 7:59Speaker 3: once in a while. Would pay me nothing down there,
- 8:02Speaker 3: So I signed on as a bouncer to work at
- 8:06Speaker 3: the wreck Bar. It was a mob place, and they
- 8:10Speaker 3: pay me cash, and you know, I work Saturday nights
- 8:13Speaker 3: and I got enough money to eat for the week.
- 8:15Speaker 3: But it was hysterical.
- 8:17Speaker 2: What a place legendary in Miami. Hey, we're almost the
- 8:22Speaker 2: acquisition of Warner Brothers, all that paramount. They'll own CNN.
- 8:26Speaker 2: What do you think they'll do with CNN?
- 8:28Speaker 3: Wipe it out?
- 8:29Speaker 2: Really?
- 8:30Speaker 3: What do you mean they're all gone? They're all going
- 8:31Speaker 3: to go. They can't keep them, so it's not going
- 8:36Speaker 3: to be all at once, but you'll see attrition. And
- 8:41Speaker 3: then the problem with with the new management sky Dance
- 8:47Speaker 3: is that there's not a lot of talent out there anymore.
- 8:50Speaker 3: It's not like you got journalists coming out of college
- 8:53Speaker 3: like that football and basketball. It's very, very scammed. You've
- 9:00Speaker 3: got people who are afraid, they don't really have a
- 9:04Speaker 3: good grasp of what's happening. So what do you replace
- 9:08Speaker 3: your Jake Tappers with? What do you replace uh Anderson
- 9:12Speaker 3: Cooper with? That's going to be their problem. But the
- 9:15Speaker 3: perception of the talent over there is that it's so
- 9:19Speaker 3: hateful that no conservative or traditional American is going to
- 9:23Speaker 3: watch that network and that's why it's failing so badly.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Huh oh, that's its seeming. Maybe switch it to something else,
- 9:32Speaker 2: like another network, another they'll.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Keep it because they're making a lot of money overseas.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Wherever you go in the world, you get CNN. Uh
- 9:42Speaker 3: and they got those countries got to pay for that,
- 9:45Speaker 3: so they're making money, but they're not competing in America.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Interesting, Well, Bill O'Reilly, everybody watched Bill O'Reilly's TV
- 9:53Speaker 2: show tonight, you go to Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill
