- DadBodSportsCards: Welcome to the Dad Bot Sports Card Podcast. This is week eight of the NFL season. Week seven, again, we said it was gonna be easy picks and none of us did well. So, like football. I'm not gonna overthink it, but also we're gonna switch things up a little bit. so we got special guest Dom with us again, who might not just be a special guest. Maybe he'll just be a regular if he wants to continue to do this. then we got Flinttown Sports Cards, Aaron. But we are gonna switch it up. I'm gonna start first on the picks since I'm beating everyone and I don't want any controversy. People saying, he picks last, so you know he's judging his picks. I I do my picks before we come on the show. Like Aaron looks at it and he kind of cheats off of me. Yeah, Aaron: Okay, I looked at one pig. DadBodSportsCards: yeah. so so I will go, I will go first on these picks and everything. Maybe Monday night we'll do a live stream for the Bears, Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks game. Dom might not want to be a part of that because he, we both get emotional during games, but he gets a little more angrier than I do. but I always expect to win, FlintTown: Hmm. DadBodSportsCards: so that's why I don't get as angry and everything. But week seven's in the books. Let's start off with the the records real quick and then we'll talk about our week notes. So week seven, Dom and Flint went seven and seven. At 500 and Aaron and I went eight and six. FlintTown: We're five hundred. DadBodSportsCards: Eight and six, Aaron and I went two games above five hundred. So on the season, the chat is 38, 36, and one, still two games over 500. Aaron is 58 and 48 and one in second place. Flint is in third place and 55 and 51 and one, and then I'm still at the top 64, 42, and one. So this week I did my picks in under. A minute. So I just looked at FlintTown: Me too. DadBodSportsCards: the teams and just all right, I'm not gonna overthink it. I'm just gonna go with I think I know we're about week eight. We should know what the teams are now. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: there's still a couple of other teams that yeah. Yeah, I mean, FlintTown: Who knows how this season's been. DadBodSportsCards: you're you're still gonna like I need to get I need to get back to the record of like going eleven and five or twelve and four. So I FlintTown: Yep. Yep. DadBodSportsCards: I'm not gonna overthink it. I'm just gonna first Team that comes to mind is is what is what I did on the picks. All right. So let's talk about week seven. you guys got any week seven notes? Anything caught catch your eye from week seven. for me as a Bears fan, it was a little weird watching because our game was on Thursday night. So Sunday was like I was just chilling, just watching all the games and just seeing all the bad football. they don't look as good as the Bears. So, but we'll we'll start with you guys. Aaron, what do you what do you got? You got anything for week seven? Aaron: It's a it's a great day when Josh Allen's not playing. It's just amazing. FlintTown: Hmm. Aaron: I don't I don't I did I had something but I forgot. It was just like you said, it was just nice to see football 'cause the Steelers won early in the morning, the Bears won on Thursday Thursday night. FlintTown: Yeah. Aaron: So all day it was just watching random games. DadBodSportsCards: Well I didn't say it was nice to see, I just said how awful football looked without the Bears because nobody looked as smooth as Caleb. Aaron: Well was nice watching football Sunday afternoon, stress free. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and also like, I mean, Aaron Rodgers played well in that Paris game. And like he had some comments after the game too about, you know, the NFL should be there f having like an international week and playing every single team is overseas during that time for a week and just playing in different cities. he said at one point the NFL was thinking about doing that, but the owners wanted a seventeenth week instead because they're money grubbing fools is like put it what he was implying. All right, Dom, you got anything for week s week seven? Dom: like you said, there's a lot of bad football. a lot of just I don't know, disappointing football. I was happy to see that Miami finally got their first win over the Jets because they are awful. and it's not really week seven, but I just realized today that Andy Reid's kind of a turd. and you and I had texted about this. not a fan of the way they They do business there. But yeah, that's really all I got. DadBodSportsCards: For those that don't know, he's referring to the Kansas City Chiefs, signing on the practice squad, Justin Tucker, the kicker for the Ravens who got kicked off the team because of all those allegations of him. He also had what, a 10 game ban? Is it? I think it was a 10 game ban in that Dom: I really. Aaron: Think it was something like that, yeah. DadBodSportsCards: something like that, because he was accused, and I don't know what the criminal, maybe he pled a guilt pled guilty or whatever, less a lesser charge. but pretty much doing a Deshaun Watson. At massage parlors and with with masseuses and everything. So he's like the white version of Deshaun Watson in that regard. Flint, you got any week seven notes? FlintTown: I'm just glad that the Green Bay Packers are crying about official officials because they get it after I don't know, a decade of other teams dealing with it, so DadBodSportsCards: Th this is why I never blame the refs. yes, there are bad calls. It's part of the game. And this is why I never blame injuries because it's always next man up and everything. That's it's just it's just part of football. Were the calls really bad? I mean, when Tom Brady is saying that they're bad calls, they are bad calls. FlintTown: Yep. Yep. They were. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: And they're bad calls because of Tom Brady, because Tom Brady got hit that they're over protecting these quarterbacks and everything. FlintTown: Yes. Yeah. Aaron: What's the Aaron Rodgers rules? DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, well, it's Aaron Rodgers, FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: but it pretty much started with with Tom Brady. Tom Brady got his what his ACL FlintTown: Yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: or his Achilles or something. There was a Aaron: Yeah, I see. DadBodSportsCards: low shot to him. He missed the whole season and everything. And football freaked the fuck out after that. And ever since then, you breathe on a quarter I'm sorry. You breathe on a white quarterback and it's gonna be roughing. I mean, that's that's a thing. Lamar, it took a long time before Lamar got these calls. Caleb rarely gets the roughing the pass, so he's starting to get it a little bit more. But it's that that's just how it is. Damahan and I had this conversation about nobody's gonna stop watching football because of what Kansas City is doing. Kansas City did it with Kareem Hunt, Kansas City, now Justin Tucker, Aaron: Kari Kill. DadBodSportsCards: Tyreek Hill was another one, and then now you got Josh Jacobs who couldn't catch that game winning touchdown pass against the Lions because his hands were sore from beating a woman. so there's so FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: there's so many things. And I mean there's a there's a lot we could talk about in week seven. My biggest takeaway was Detroit's defense looked a lot better, but I don't know what happened to their offense. They only scored 20 points, which is crazy, playing at home. FlintTown: Damn DadBodSportsCards: And Flint's gonna come here. There we go. there we go. Dom's back. FlintTown: Think I think you're gonna have games like that, but hey their defense showed up. It was. DadBodSportsCards: It was l it was a little surprising because there was there was a ton of yards on both sides, but nobody wanted to score, which was FlintTown: It's a rivalry game too, so you're gonna have that. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, but usually usually in a rivalry game will be sloppy and ugly. The game wasn't real there was a lot of yards. Amonra had a hundred and what thirty-five, hundred and forty yards receiving, nine catches, J Mo blew FlintTown: Yeah. I know. DadBodSportsCards: up, Matt Gold Matthew Golden had a ton of yards. And and we're we're re kind of recapping a little bit on NFC North, but I mean that game was that game was a little weird. It was disappointing that that it was twenty to seventeen. Maybe I was disappointed 'cause I have a lot of players on the fantasy teams from both teams on that one. But I thought it was gonna be more high scoring. If you looked at the s FlintTown: I DadBodSportsCards: if you looked at the stats, it looked like it should have been more high scoring. FlintTown: Gibbs and Saint Brown are wasn't at practice today 'cause dealing with DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: injury, so DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, Matthew Golden. Aaron: You know who was that practice? DadBodSportsCards: What's that, Aaron? Aaron: You who was at practice today? DadBodSportsCards: Who? FlintTown: Kirby Joseph. Aaron: Kirby Joseph. DadBodSportsCards: okay. FlintTown: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: who who's who's Detroit playing this week? Who who do we what do we have for to you're you're playing Minnesota. Aaron: Minnesota. FlintTown: Uh-huh. The Vikings. DadBodSportsCards: You're playing Minnesota. So you should hold them under 20 points and everything. All right. FlintTown: I think. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: anything else from week seven? I'm trying to think. I mean, real quick, we could have the debate topic real quick. What because like we're getting into trades now. DeForest Buckner got traded to the San Francisco 49ers for a fourth round pick. I think he preferred to go back. to to San Francisco. I think the Bears also submitted a fourth round pick for him, but they gave the the choice to Buckner. It's what what everybody's assuming. I don't think the Bears wanted to give up a third round pick for him. and then Quentin what's his last name? Nelson got traded to the Seahawks, which is a very good pickup for the Seahawks. The Bears also inquired about him which meant that they probably would have wanted to move Tooney to left tackle and have Quentin Johnson at left guard, which would have been amazing. But it just it just didn't work out. I I I'm glad that the Bears didn't go for him because Seattle gave up what a third round pick and a fifth. So Aaron: Mm-hmm. Yeah, something like that. DadBodSportsCards: I mean, w it's not a necessary need for the Bears and everything. But real quick about Justin Herbert, do you think anybody should be inquiring like to the Chargers to get Justin Herbert to be their quarterback? Aaron: Right now? No. DadBodSportsCards: Right now, no. Okay. FlintTown: No. Yeah. Aaron: Maybe in the off season, but DadBodSportsCards: Right. Well, Aaron: no. DadBodSportsCards: you would hope right now that they want to try to have a fire sale, but maybe you might try to do it off off season. They're sticking with Mike FlintTown: Unless DadBodSportsCards: McDaniel play calling. so maybe Harbaugh FlintTown: Unless the Eagles DadBodSportsCards: yeah, maybe Harbaugh will get fired. The Eagles should think about it because they're st even as bad as they are, they're still in contention in that awful division. Dom: I I think there's FlintTown: Mm. Dom: there's one no brainer team that should reach out and that's Minnesota. DadBodSportsCards: Let's see. Yeah. Aaron: Minute, yeah. Dom: If I'm Minnesota, DadBodSportsCards: That would be. Dom: I'd give up two, three, however many first round picks it takes because that is their really their only real weakness weakness. they can FlintTown: Kill a seal. Mm-hmm. Aaron: Yeah. Dom: they can't run the ball great but DadBodSportsCards: Well, like how fat how fast can you get him sped up on on the playbook? Dom: I think he walks in day one and he's almost at Kyler's level already. FlintTown: yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: But but it's it's not Madden where you could just trade for somebody and all of a sudden it's like it's gonna take a little bit and and yeah. Dom: No, I yeah, he wouldn't walk in and actually start, but it wouldn't take long to get better than where Kyler's at. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. And I I wonder because if you think you want to go that route, you would hope that Brian Flores would stay there in the future. That way that defense stays the same and then you have a good offense with Herbert and Justin Jefferson and whoever else. I think they're making a play for Jonathan Taylors because let's stick with Kyler Murray. He's been in the system and let's just play it safe defense and run the football with Jonathan Taylor if they if they can pick him up. Yeah, it would it Dom: be a great pickup for them if they did that too. DadBodSportsCards: would be a great pickup, but it would also Aaron: It would be amazing. DadBodSportsCards: cost them But also cost them a couple of first round picks, I think. Or at least one. At least one. FlintTown: Look at nine though. They gave up on nine too quick. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, but you're also blowing him way too early. So like Dom: Maybe. Yeah, yeah. DadBodSportsCards: like it's it's it's one Aaron: Okay. DadBodSportsCards: it's a one game. And who who did FlintTown: Hey. DadBodSportsCards: who did the Giants play? They played Houston, whose defense, I don't know what happened to their defense. Their defense is fucking awful. Dom: I don't either. They're bad. DadBodSportsCards: I like I thought the nine was gonna have less than 125 yards passing. I was way off on that, but I wasn't too far off because he still didn't throw a touchdown pass. So I mean Yeah, like who we don't need touchdowns. Like Omanra hasn't had one in the past twelve. So I get it. I see, I see where you're coming Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: from. win's a win. win's a win. I know. FlintTown: Win's a win. DadBodSportsCards: yeah. So I I do want to address this because everybody in like in the comments on TikTok and Instagram are one, they're saying all of us are dick faces. And it's not all of us. I'm the one who's talking shit about I'm the one who's talking FlintTown: Hmm. Thanks everybody. DadBodSportsCards: about Detroit and and the thing. And like everybody can come at me and saying, whatever, you know, there's there's no rift. It's it's little things. It's little things that'll build up what you start losing. Now they're winning right now, so winning covers up a lot of things. Just like when the Bears won with their backup quarterbacks, it covered up that the backup quarterbacks suck, especially Tyson Tyson Bajent. But because we were winning, everybody was on fucking Tyson Bajent's nuts and everything until he he shit the brick against the Green Bay and everything. But winning covers things. Now, Detroit's coming off of being fourth place in the division. And Dan Campbell a couple years ago has told management that hey, we got to do something. Our window is now. we have to do something. And they haven't really made any major things in the defense. Their offense is fine and everything. They'll be fine even without Laporta in the in the future. Like you couldn't get a tight end. But but it's the little things once they start losing, and when they're third or fourth, which right now they're third place in the division, and they could still end up fourth place in the division. That's when that's when all this little stuff starts building up and compounding and then changes are gonna be made. that's how that's how it starts. And I'm not saying it's a problem now, but it could be a problem in the future. I don't know. Was Amonra was he at that Halloween party that Jared Goff and and Gibbs was at? Was it what what did Amonra dress up as? FlintTown: All of G unit. DadBodSportsCards: G Unit. Okay. Is it is it G Unit? Isn't he from Chicago? FlintTown: Fifty cents. DadBodSportsCards: okay. I know him as 50 Cent, not G Unit. It's because I'm white. I'm not. I don't I don't FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: go to party stores like Flint and RCEC. All right. So just addressing all those people, it's not all four of us. It's a me, the Bears fan. Because now I think the bigger ri FlintTown: Trying to DadBodSportsCards: I think the big old rivalry for the Bears is gonna be. Detroit because Green Bay's always gonna be a rivalry, but Detroit's coming up and because we have Ben Johnson, something that we have that they don't have, and you know, they miss him. What what are you gonna say? FlintTown: Hold up, hold up. Let me just give you something. DadBodSportsCards: There we go. FlintTown: Hundred and eighty points in seven games, right? Hundred and eighty-four points in six games. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. FlintTown: You ought to guess who that is. DadBodSportsCards: Well I the Bears have the Aaron: Bears and lines. DadBodSportsCards: Bears have played seven games, so yeah, so it's Bears and Lions. FlintTown: Ben Johnson, DadBodSportsCards: Mm-hmm. FlintTown: a hundred and eighty points, and Drew Pensing, a hundred and eighty-four points. Six games. Megamind, DadBodSportsCards: So you're really gonna compare that offensive coordinator Ben Johnson? And you do you do realize Case Keenum and FlintTown: Megamind Drew Pensing. That's who our coordinator is. Megamind. Look it up. Megamind Drew Pensing. DadBodSportsCards: Maybe I don't need to look it up 'cause he's gonna be a nobody by the end of the year. FlintTown: Nope, Megamind. He's Megamind. DadBodSportsCards: Wha okay, what about Megamind? Wha what explain Megamind. FlintTown: He's a cartoon. You've never seen Mega Mind? DadBodSportsCards: I yeah, I know, I know, but go I no, go into detail. Why is he Mega Mine? Why are they scoring so many points? break it down for us. He's it's not it it it it's okay, okay. So let let's FlintTown: 'Cause he's he's g he's Aaron: Does is it just have a fat ass forehead or DadBodSportsCards: let's give credit to someone who has Jared Goff, who has JMo, who has Laporta, who has FlintTown: Yep. DadBodSportsCards: Amonra, and Jameer Gibbs. And he's a he's all he's all he's great. He's great. No, no. Dom: Don't forget Tesla. FlintTown: Mega Mind. Aaron: No. DadBodSportsCards: Don't forget who? I I I f I I Dom: Tesla. Aaron: Test like yeah. FlintTown: Yeah. Tesla. DadBodSportsCards: left him out on purpose. I left him out on purpose. FlintTown: Tesla. Whatever. DadBodSportsCards: But what I like okay, but what did he play with a backup quarterback? Did he play with two backup quarterbacks? What did he how FlintTown: Doesn't matter. DadBodSportsCards: many how many points did he score? How many points Aaron: Yes it does! DadBodSportsCards: did he score with backup quarterbacks? Yeah. Yeah. And you know it FlintTown: Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Next man up. Next man up. DadBodSportsCards: is next man up, but you know who's running, you know who what kind of offense you guys are running, right? 'Cause Dan Campbell's still the head coach. He's still he's still implementing FlintTown: Yeah. Dan Campbell's Dan Campbell's offense. DadBodSportsCards: Well, it's it's Ben Johnson's offense that Dan Campbell is implementing. FlintTown: Ooh. DadBodSportsCards: It it is. What happened to your offensive coordinator last year? What happened to him? One season, what happened to your offense And because why? Because FlintTown: He got shot out of a cannon because he didn't he 'cause he didn't run Dan Campbell's offense. DadBodSportsCards: Okay, but didn't you guys still finish top five in offense? So FlintTown: Yeah. Because Dan Campbell took it over. DadBodSportsCards: okay. Is is is that what it was? Because 'cause FlintTown: You want to. DadBodSportsCards: he didn't take it over the rest of the season either. This is why I love arguing with Flint, because he just he just looks at surface stuff. FlintTown: No. No, I look at my team and I know my team. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, but Dan Campbell did Dan Campbell didn't finish the season as offensive play caller. He he FlintTown: Yes, he did. DadBodSportsCards: he gave up the no, he he took it over and then he gave it back up because he was going for too many fourth downs. I'm pretty sure that's what happened last season. FlintTown: He took it over third or fourth week into the thing. DadBodSportsCards: He did, but I don't think he finished the season out as a play caller. That's what I'm saying. FlintTown: Well, he shot that dude right into a ki out of a cannon to the moon. DadBodSportsCards: The point is Dan Campbell runs Ben Johnson's offense. FlintTown: No. Ben Johnson ran Dan Campbell's offense. Aaron: No, it was it was for the rest of the season. DadBodSportsCards: Are we are so are we say are we saying Dan Campbell is the offensive mind? Is that what we're saying? FlintTown: Yes. DadBodSportsCards: So it doesn't matter what Mega Mind's doing them because Dan Campbell should be getting all the credit. Well FlintTown: No, Dan Campbell Aaron: Ha ha FlintTown: has a offense that he likes ran. That's DadBodSportsCards: Mm-hmm. Ben Johnson's offense, correct. FlintTown: gosh. So the first coordinator got shot out of the cannon because he Aaron: It was week ten, he took over DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: play calling duties and then it was for the rest of the season. FlintTown: No, before Ben Johnson. Before Ben Johnson. I'm talking about before DadBodSportsCards: Week ten. So no Aaron: this is twenty twenty five. I was talking about last year. FlintTown: Ben Johnson. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. FlintTown: In Dan Campbell's first season. See you guys don't know this. He shot that coordinator right out of a cannon because he couldn't run the offense how he wanted it ran. Ben Johnson took it over. He ran it how Dan ran it, wanted it run. So Ben ran it how Dan had it in his head, how he wanted it to run. DadBodSportsCards: Okay, so maybe both things are true because I don't want to spend too much time on this because we gotta get to the picks. But well well, maybe both things are true because Ben FlintTown: Ha, I know. DadBodSportsCards: Johnson came to the Bears. The Bears had the 30th rank, 32nd rank offense in the NFL. Now they're top five, and then they're the number the for the pat like they're the number one rushing team this year. So FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Detroit's not the num Detroit was like number one, number two rushing team when Ben Johnson was there. So to me, if Ben Johnson leaves and the Lions running running game rushing game isn't top three anymore and the Bears are top one, that's because of Ben Johnson, not because of Dan Campbell. And you have a better running back than the Bears do. FlintTown: No, I think I think I think Detroit's I don't know statistically right now, I I haven't looked it up. But I think they're top five. Lions are top five, yeah. I think so. DadBodSportsCards: And rushing. Aaron, can you look that up real quick? Yeah, I don't I don't I don't even think I don't think the Lions are even top five. I know the Bears are number one. And last year I believe the Lions finished ninth or tenth in rushing, while the Bears finished within like FlintTown: Well the lines do a lot of dump offs too. So that DadBodSportsCards: let's let's you have Gibbs. Are you okay? So the Bears have more rushing. I yeah, I get it, but you still have Gibbs FlintTown: I give's dangerous in the backfield on dump offs, too. DadBodSportsCards: who probably had more rushing yards than DeAndre Swift last year. But as a team, the FlintTown: yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Bears had more rushing yards. Maybe both things are true. Maybe it is Dan FlintTown: Well, you guys use two back. DadBodSportsCards: Campbell's offense in Detroit, and everywhere else in the NFL, it's Ben Johnson's offense because I never hear them talk FlintTown: You know what I think it is? DadBodSportsCards: what? FlintTown: I think what worked so good is it could be both true. I think Ben Johnson and Dan Campbell had both the mindsets of like the same mindset how to run offense. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, Aaron, all right, Aaron, give me the sets. Aaron: Lions one hundred fifteen yards a game sixteenth place. Bears one hundred fifty three yards a game first place. Rushing. DadBodSportsCards: For rushing. That's a huge d that's a huge difference. FlintTown: How many wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hundred and what? Aaron: Lions 115 rushing yards a game. FlintTown: All right. Aaron: Sixteenth. That's the middle of the league. Bears are 154, DadBodSportsCards: Mm. Aaron: which is six yards above the Bills who are second. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: Well you also have one game on us too. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, but but they're going by average. They're going by average. It so it doesn't Aaron: It's yards per game. Yeah. It's yards per game. DadBodSportsCards: matter the total yards, they're going by average. So, like like I said, I I'm Aaron: Those are a good ass rushing team too. DadBodSportsCards: just going with if you I don't know if you watch get up or any of the national media stuff like I do, but the national media isn't talking about Dan Campbell and his offensive mind. It's always Ben Johnson and how great he is offensive. So I don't I don't know if pe I don't know if the NFL looks at Dan Campbell as being the offensive mind and everything. So that that's that's that's why I'm saying. That's why a lot of people say, not just me, but a lot of people in national media says Ben Johnson is offensive guru, not Dan Campbell. But but they he you got the remnants of Ben Johnson leaving Detroit, so their offense is still gonna be good. You still got good skill you got great, not even good, they're great skill players in in Detroit. It's just It gets you fourth place. All right, let's move on. We're gonna go week eight picks. Like I said, we're gonna switch FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: it up. We're gonna switch it up. I will start first. That way there's no controversy of me going after everybody else and everything. so you guys can piggyback off my picks and maybe change your picks that way you can catch up to me in the standings. But and Flint accused me of using AI for my picks. Yes, my brain is AI, it's Asian intelligence. FlintTown: Ha ha ha DadBodSportsCards: It's Asian intelligence. All right. So, all right. So we will start with the Thursday night football game, which is tomorrow night. Tonight's Wednesday night. So we'll we will try to get through these pretty quickly because it's already 9 30 here on the East Coast, 8 30 for Dom. all right, Thursday night game is the Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers. I'm taking the Carolina Panthers. Green Bay is probably gonna be favored in this game. Carolina just got their ass beat by Tampa, but that was I think that was like a baker. hey, we're glad to have you back. You don't have to do much. We're just gonna run all over fucking Carolina. Green Bay doesn't have a running game like the way Tampa showed. Bucky Irving had a huge game last week. maybe Josh Jacobs just needed to get that game back in and his hands less swollen from beating women. And maybe he'll play better this week. But I don't know. I'm gonna go with the Carolina Panthers. I'm gonna put my trust in Bryce Young over Jordan Love. And my player to watch is gonna be Bryce Young. All right, Aaron, who do you or we'll go Dom? Who do you Dom? Dom: Okay. I'm gonna take Green Bay here. I like them at home on the short week. But I could see this getting out of can out of hand. I could see the Panthers doing what Atlanta did to them a few weeks back if things just go sideways. But another week of Josh Jacobs, you know, I I think they just have the advantage on the short week. and my player to watch is gonna be Golden. He leads the league in drops. I think DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Dom: both percentage and number of drops, if I have that right. So it'll be interesting to see if he can clean that up. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, they keep feeding him though, because he's he's still catching a lot of balls and getting a lot of yards and everything too. He's Dom: Yeah. He's fast. He's fast. DadBodSportsCards: he is very fast. All right, Aaron, who do you got in Carolina and Green Bay? Aaron: I got Carolina. I think we look at it last week. Ker Tampa Bay has a really good defense and then they just beat the snot out of Carolina. But it was also a divisional game. And I look at Green Bay's defense, I don't think their defense is that good. I look at Green Bay's offense, I don't think their offense is that good, especially their run game. Like you said, I don't think they're gonna be run over Carolina. And also, a little bit of dumb logic, Carolina beat Lions, Lions beat Green Bay. think Carolina's gonna have this game. My player to watch is gonna be Bryce Young because if he's playing good, like I said, if he's playing good, he's playing good. But if he can also play really, really bad, like he did against the Bucs. DadBodSportsCards: That's an awesome analysis. If he's playing good, he's playing good. I know what you mean. I know what you mean though. Yeah, I know what you mean. Aaron: There there's players like yeah, yeah, there's players like that. FlintTown: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, yeah. Like if like if he if he has everything rolling, then yeah, yeah. Yeah, he he can ball Aaron: He can ball out, he can ball out, yeah. DadBodSportsCards: it. 'Cause he's got he's got the playmakers on the offense to do that. Yep. All right, Flint, who do you got in Carolina Green Bay? FlintTown: I have Green Bay. I think being at home, is gonna be a hard game for Carolina to overcome against Green Bay. And Josh Jacobs I think is gonna have a better game than he did last week. So DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, yeah, he he he could. What once man, that's the scary part. If Green Bay could figure out this running game, that that offense is gonna be playing pretty well and then also then getting Micah Parsons back in a couple of weeks. FlintTown: A lot better. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: So I I need them to stack up the losses now because I think they're gonna go on a little run towards the end of this season. which which sucks. FlintTown: I just don't I don't I just don't see Green Bay losing this week. Like you know what I mean? It's DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. we have the best division in football. yeah, yeah. FlintTown: I I un Yes, we do. We DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. FlintTown: do. DadBodSportsCards: All right, next game could be the game of the week if Lamar Jackson is back. All signs are saying that he could be back this weekend. so the Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills. I'm picking Buffalo. I think, I mean, they're just the best team. I I like in the AFC, I believe. Josh Allen, it doesn't matter who his wide receivers are, like DJ Moore hasn't been playing lately, but Josh Allen, James Cook in that backfield. they're gonna score points because they have to because their defense sucks. if Lamar Jackson is playing, this game's gonna be a shootout. I think it's always a shootout between Buff Baltimore and Buffalo and everything, between Lamar and and Josh Allen. And those games are usually pretty close. but give me Buffalo and Josh Allen. Who do you got, Dom? Dom: I'm also taking Buffalo here. Josh Allen's best quarterback in football. Arguably the best player in football. Lamar coming off of injuries in the past has been bad. Sorry, Aaron. I can't you know, it is what it is. Aaron: If it week two, I would have agreed with you, not only. Dom: so anyways, I'm taking Buffalo. I do expect it to be high scoring though. and it I'm interested to see what DJ Moore looks like if he's back. DadBodSportsCards: Yep. All right, Aaron. Aaron: Gonna pick Buffalo, I know. But FlintTown: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: I wanna see the Ravens lose, but it's also like the Ravens head coach said, they don't know if he's gonna play. He said he expects him to play, but he doesn't know if he's gonna start. So it could be like Lamar gets in after a quarter, gets in after a couple drives, I don't I don't know what the whole situation's gonna be. But even if he is back, he's a great passer, but his mobility is gonna be down, and that could hinder him. So I'm gonna pick Buffalo. Just because I don't think the Ravens offense can get anything going, especially if Lamar is not at a hundred percent. They're the Ravens' offense have been terrible lately. They were terrible against Cincinnati, they were terrible against Cleveland. And even the Buffalo's defense, even though their defense is so bad, it's like I if this Ravens offense like can't pick it up like like the last couple weeks where they just played bad, Buffalo might hold him under twenty points. And then Buffalo, they're just gonna run the score up. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. that that's that's fair. And maybe Baltimore looks at it it's like, We don't think we have a chance winning this game with a eighty percent Lamar Jackson. Let's just give Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: another week of rest. But they gotta start winning now because they're in a tough division too. So Aaron: That division is DadBodSportsCards: we got the we talk about the NFC North, but the AFC North is also you Cleveland number one. Aaron: There was a a record broken. It w it was three weeks in a row that two divisions had their teams all winning records. The old record was two weeks in a row, but the both Norse have done it for three weeks in a row. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. 'cause Cleveland I mean what Cleveland's w we're five and two, right? Aaron: Five and two. DadBodSportsCards: And then you got the Steelers five and two. Cincinnati's what? Aaron: It's four and three. DadBodSportsCards: Four and three and the Baltimore's three and four. Aaron: I sorry no, Bengals four and two. DadBodSportsCards: 'Cause they had a bye week. Aaron: They did have a bye week. Baltimore's four and three. That's what it is. DadBodSportsCards: Okay, yeah. But Baltimore's gotta start stacking up wins if they want to compete. I don't think Cleveland's gonna hold off for the rest of the season. But but but fuck, FlintTown: Yeah, I don't think they're. DadBodSportsCards: you never know. Aaron: Not this week. DadBodSportsCards: they got they got they have a good defense. you have a good defense, FlintTown: They DadBodSportsCards: they'll keep you in games and then and then, halftime or in that blue tent, you fucking get him a seuss on Deshaun Watson and then the next thing he's leading game winning drives and winning, FlintTown: Well DadBodSportsCards: by a touchdown. FlintTown: think about this too. the Browns gave up Miles Garrett and their defense is still really good. That's what's crazy, if you like really think about it. Aaron: Well DadBodSportsCards: Well, I I don't know I don't know what Jared Verse is doing, but he's a good pass rusher that they got in return. And they also their Aaron: He is. FlintTown: He is. Yes. DadBodSportsCards: defensive line is is really good too. Aaron: Actually I think he's been putting up stinkers all year. DadBodSportsCards: I just I love I love the meme with showing Miles Garrett, he got traded to the Rams and he he's on a losing team. Cleveland's winning finally. All FlintTown: And there and Yep. Yep. DadBodSportsCards: right, Flint, who do you got between Baltimore and Buffalo? FlintTown: I also have Buffalo. I think to be honest, I think it's a no brainer. But we all said, we don't know. this w year's been crazy. But I'm gonna take Buffalo, Josh Allen, the best quarterback in the NFL. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. All right, next game we got the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee FlintTown: that's cringe worthy. DadBodSportsCards: Titans at well, Aaron, who do you think the best quarterback of the NFL is then? Aaron: First of I think Caleb's better. Okay. Let's put that out there. Second of all, Goff has played I'm not FlintTown: Come on. Josh Ayland's. Aaron: saying Goff is better, but I'm saying you look at it statistically. Has Goff even thrown an interception yet? Yeah, he's still DadBodSportsCards: He has not. He has not. FlintTown: no, he has not. Aaron: fourteen and DadBodSportsCards: Goff doesn't get Goff doesn't get the respect like the other quarterbacks. He did Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: earlier in his career, FlintTown: Absolutely right. DadBodSportsCards: but he hasn't lately. And I don't know why he hasn't. Aaron: It's DadBodSportsCards: I think it goes to the conversation that we had a few months ago or a few podcasts ago, it was like the whole it factor. Like nothing sexy about Goff, right? He's just he's just a he's just a consistent quarterback. He just does Aaron: Yeah. He's not he's not a mobile quarterback. He doesn't make the flashy place. Yeah. FlintTown: He just does it. He just does it. DadBodSportsCards: his job and like he just throws shade at Amonra. That's it in podcast. But other than that, he's FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: n other than that, he's not in the news. His wife is in the news because of how hot she is. So, but you got all these other guys. You got Caleb who paints his nails, Caleb, Caleb, Caleb, they always Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: talk shit about Caleb. And then you got Josh Allen, can he get over the hump, to finally get a Super Bowl and everything. Then you got Patrick Mahomes and all and all that. But yeah, Goff definitely deserves more attention for what he what he does year in and year out. Yeah. Aaron: Yeah. He's just not a flashy player. Like when the FlintTown: He does. Yeah. Aaron: Lions, when FlintTown: Yeah. Aaron: they had that super like crazy good offense a couple years ago, you know, he was getting his flowers because you know it was like a transition from Rams. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Well 'cause they w 'cause they they made it to the ch championship game. Yeah. Yeah. Aaron: And then, you know, the years go by, their offense gets a little bit worse each year, and then he's just not a flashy player overall. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: It it's gonna his hype is gonna die down. DadBodSportsCards: I th I think it's a thing also when now it's expected. So it's like the only way he's gonna Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: make new make news is if he doesn't hit that expectation or if he goes way above that expectation. So but yeah, I think it's like, yeah, gol golf through for 300 yards, three touchdowns, zero picks. yeah, I could see that. yeah, it's expected. Yeah, yeah, exactly. All right, so next game FlintTown: That's expected. It is. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: we got Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals. I'm picking the Bengals. The Bengals are they're playing really well. on offense and defense. their their running game is slacking. So their backup running back, I can't pronounce his name. How how do you say his name? Yes, that guy Aaron: So my JP Ryan? Yes. DadBodSportsCards: is my player to watch because I think he's going to start stealing more carries from Chase Brown and everything. Aaron: Yeah, it is. DadBodSportsCards: so I think Cincinnati will get ahead in the lead and then you'll see a lot of that backup running back start stacking, giving him the ball because I Chase Brown isn't playing well this so far this season and that backup running back was good for fantasy. and potentially could possibly take over the starting job if he continues to steal carries and it goes in that trend. Cause I think the offense looks better with him. All right. Dom, who do you got in this game? Dom: I also have the Bengals. this one's a no brainer. Tennessee I mean they they have nothing right now. as much as I wish Cam was something he's right now he's not. FlintTown: more. Aaron: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Sorry, I agreed. They have Tony Pollard. The touchdowns. He hates the Browns. Th this is this is doesn't matter. Anyways. Do DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. Three touchdowns last week. Yeah. Dom: Uhhuh. And what did he do before this game? Before that game. That's what I thought. FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: you remember last year in the Yahoo Fantasy League when the A Wait no son, it wasn't our own fantasy league, when the AI picked up Tony Pollard out of nowhere and then he went off. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Aaron: That's what that reminded me. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. And not not this AI, like the actual AI in in the Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: league. Not the Asian intelligence. Dom: Real AI. Yeah. FlintTown: Asian intelligence. Dom: yeah, so I like I said, I'm taking the Bengals. Last week was weird. They didn't do anything in the first half and then five consecutive touchdowns in the second half, which was pretty impressive. my player to watch is Chase Brown. I still think he's the best running back on that team. it'll be interesting to see if he starts to pick things up at any point or if he starts to seed more carries like you were saying. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. All right, Aaron, who you got? Aaron: I got Cincinnati. Another easy game. My player watched him be Jamar Chase. He still does not have a hundred receiving yards in a game this season. And he's had, you know, the injuries. He's left a game early, but it's kind of been a little bit more of a disappointing season for him statistically. So I mean this is the game to turn it around. Houston's I not Houston. Tennessee's defense is not good. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Well and then and then they haven't traded anybody from their defense yet, but some of the defensive players are in talks for n if if the Bears or another team will give up a first round pick for Simmons and everything. you know, so that that defense could be worse like if they if Aaron: Mm, yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: if in the next couple of days or na even next couple of weeks they get traded before the deadline. All right. Who do you got, Flint? FlintTown: I also got Cincinnati. I Tennessee is a mess all around. And I would not give up a first round pick for anyone for a trade. Just like that's my thought. You know what I mean? I know you said, I would give up a or you guys were thinking Simmons for a first round. I wouldn't DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: give up a first round. DadBodSportsCards: Well, I think I think 'cause he's still young, so you would have to sign him to an extension. Personally, for as a Bears fan, I would not want Dom: Well he's twenty nine. Aaron: Shit. DadBodSportsCards: him to be on the Bears, 'cause he made comments in the past about knocking the paint na the nail polish off Caleb's nails. So don't want that dynamic in the in in in the locker room. Fuck that guy. If you're gonna talk shit about my quarterback, I don't want you playing on my team ever. So FlintTown: But if you look at history and stuff like that and the sauce gardener, two first round picks and he really hasn't done you know what I mean? Yeah. Aaron: Yeah. That wa that was just a bad trade all around. Dom: Well that was insane. FlintTown: Yeah, it was. Dom: Yeah. I I do think I think you're justified to give up first round a first round pick or multiple first round picks for special players that you can DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Dom: keep on your team for an extended period of time. You don't do it for a for a Aaron: Sauce Yeah. Dom: rental. Aaron: Yeah. To FlintTown: Yeah, yeah, no ra yeah, exactly. DadBodSportsCards: Well, I I I I I disagree. Because to me, it's about winning now. If you have that window to win now, you Aaron: yeah. DadBodSportsCards: you you be aggressive and you try to go for it for this season. Everybody wants to look in the future, right? Look. The Lions did that when they lost the AFC, when they lost the NFC championship game, and they haven't been back to the NFC Championship game before then. That was their window. And FlintTown: Yeah, that wasn't their window. 'Cause they were still golden. DadBodSportsCards: W what have you done? I know but I know, but what have you done since then? you haven't you haven't gotten that far. And it could be many of reasons because injuries or whatever, defense sucks. But the point is, when you have that opportunity to take it a and win it that season, and I'm speaking specifically FlintTown: Okay. DadBodSportsCards: for the Bears, 'cause we know the Bears problem is the defense. The offense is not gonna be a problem for for this for the rest of the season. But the defense is gonna be a problem. And if we don't make the Super Bowl, it's gonna be because of the defense. We need a pass rusher. And we can't keep sending these blitzes because if we don't get to a quarterback, our DBs aren't good enough. Jalen Johnson's watching fucking his third tab on Pornhub rather than watching these fucking wide receivers. Aaron: He's not anymore, that's the problem. DadBodSportsCards: Well, yeah. But I mean, may may maybe he has it in his in his FlintTown: Not anymore. DadBodSportsCards: fucking earpiece. He's just listening to porn and that's why he's getting lost on the field. He He or he could just be done. He's 27 years old, which is crazy to think that that injury has ruined his career and everything. but like, I don't know. I'm more of the aggressive mindset. Like, it's about winning now. And this goes back just to Chicago in general. Like, the Cubs had a great team with all those players. We won one World Series because that one season, like, it worked. Just We got we got too spoiled watching Tom Brady and the Patriots, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, but that's not normal. Dynasties aren't normal. So, like FlintTown: No, it's not. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: if you have an opportunity to to take the wit, to get a w try to go for a Super Bowl that season, yes, it you're not mortgaging your future. I'm not saying give up all your first round picks, but okay, give up a first round pick if you have a special player, like what Dom's saying. For like in the Bears case, that special player could be Max Crosby. he might be older, but you know what? Take the risk. It's this season you're going for it. I don't think any Bears fan would ever complain, we gave up a first round pick for Max Crosby. what are we gonna what Aaron: Or Simmons. DadBodSportsCards: what or or well, I don't know about Simmons, but but but I'm not gonna sit here like Bears fans aren't gonna be like, in twenty twenty eight we gave up our first round pick. Fuck, we're screwed for the rest of our future. What no Bears fans gonna think like that. They're gonna they're gonna be happy that their GM went for it and to try to win. The whole point is to win a fucking Super Bowl. So if you're FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: not, if you're not doing that, then what the fuck are you doing? That's the only goal that you should have as a GM. If you're not, if you're not set like Bears, the Lions are set up right now to make a run. They just need extra help. The Steelers could FlintTown: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: potenti I mean, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what to think of the Steelers. They got a good defense. Their quarterback is playing well. You guys still need a wide receiver. Aaron: Give me Josh Downs, give me B T na Josh Downs DadBodSportsCards: Josh Downs, BTJ. I mean, you never I mean, who knows? But but you're not giving up a first round pick for those. But but but if I but if I asked you, would Aaron: No, Helm. FlintTown: No no DadBodSportsCards: you give up a first round pick for Justin Jefferson? 100% you would say yes. If I said, would you give up Aaron: One hundred percent. FlintTown: that's DadBodSportsCards: a first round pick for Amonra? 100% you would. If I asked you a first round pick for name another wide receiver, T Higgins, even T. Higgins, would you give up a first round pick for T Higgins? I would. For for the Steelers, I would. I think I think Higgins is just as good as Jamar Chase. Yeah. FlintTown: It'd be hard. I do too, Aaron: But I FlintTown: but Aaron: saw someone talk to us about Garrett Wilson, which is the name I was gonna bring up, because it's a debate on whether he's worth a f a first round pick or not. And the argument is, you know, first round pick, they're not proven. Garrett Wilson is young and he's proven that he's good. So it's like if you give up a first round pick for Garrett Wilson, DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. So FlintTown: You're right about that. Aaron: would I be upset? No, because he's a proven wide receiver and he's still young. So let's say it doesn't work out this year, doesn't work out the next year. He's still young, he's we still have time with him. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, and it's also case by case, team by team basis. As Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: as a Lions fan, Flynn is, and as a Bears fan, I'd be upset if the Bears gave up a first round pick for Gar Garrett Wilson. Because we don't need a wide receiver like that. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. FlintTown: Me too. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: if we give up a second or third, okay, I can I can live with that. But for the Steelers giving up a first round pick, I would be 100% for that Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: because you don't have a number true number one wide receiver. So it's like FlintTown: I heard forty Aaron: Yeah. FlintTown: niners. Forty Niners are looking at Gareth Aaron: The Forty Niners are in the middle. DadBodSportsCards: they they they ha they have to be. They they they have to be aggressive FlintTown: well, yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: because because this is their window. Like to hit this season, they start off so well. And same as the law same as the Vikings. That's why the Vikings Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: have to be aggressive and go if they really want Jonathan Taylor, be aggressive. Give up two first round picks for him. All right. let's see. So Flint, you picked Cincinnati. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Did you pick a player to watch? You said Jamar Chase or FlintTown: yeah, Jamar Chase. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. All right. Next game, we got the Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys. I am going with Dallas Cowboys. They are riding high after that win against Philly. I mean, Philly's just Philly's in shambles, especially on offense. All the running backs are falling off on that team. They're all going to IR. Pierce just went on IR after that game. But Arizona, I don't have faith in Arizona keeping up with Dallas' offense. Jacoby Brissett hasn't been playing well lately. I don't know why Michael Wilson hasn't been stepping it up. it's been all Trey McBride. they don't have a running game because I mean Jeremiah Love's been hurt, but on top of that, he's also a bust. But but I don't know if he's coming back this weekend. We're not gonna go with Bam Knight and Tyler Azir to keep up with although you can run against Dallas. Dallas weakness is the rush defense. But I think I think Dak Prescott's gonna be my player to watch. I think he's gonna be able to put up more more offensive numbers to keep them ahead of Arizona. So who you got, Dom? Dom: Yeah, I've got Dallas as well. However, I think this is actually going to be a fairly close game because both of these teams are bad. I don't have one player to watch. I actually have the Cardinals other running backs, depending I don't know who's playing and who's not, but I'm curious to see how well they can run on that defense of of DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Dom: the Cowboys, which is it's bad. And if they can actually break off chunk runs, I there's a chance the Cardinals could win that game. But I'm I'm still gonna run with the cowboys here. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, that's a great point because Saquon ran well when he could, then he got hurt, and then Pierce ran well, and then he got hurt, and then they just didn't have another running back to fill in, and you know, like they couldn't keep up. that offense, like they couldn't like I think like one of the like two to three last possessions they just had, like turnover after turnover, because they had to rely on Tanner McKee, which you're not gonna win games that way. All right, Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Aaron, who do you got? Aaron: I got Arizona. This is what I was talking to you about before the game before the stream. DadBodSportsCards: wow. Okay. Aaron: This is Well, I can't remember the word I use. This is like the streak that's been going on. Since twenty twenty, Arizona is four and against Dallas. It they just DadBodSportsCards: Okay. Got it. Aaron: keep on no matter how bad Arizona is, they keep on squeaking out wins against Dallas. So I remember a lot of people were saying Arizona, they were gonna go one and sixteen this year. And that one win was gonna be Dallas. They just DadBodSportsCards: Why did you why did you expect me to know that before the podcast when you a Aaron: 'Cause people FlintTown: Yeah. Aaron: people talked about it it it was it was in a good discussion, a pretty not not big discussion, but it was like a fact that was spreading around when people were talking about Arizona's schedule. 'Cause the Arizona DadBodSportsCards: So Aaron: has a gauntlet of a schedule. they had really hard schedule and then DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, so before we s before we started the podcast, Aaron and I were upstairs and then he was like, you didn't you didn't you don't know about the game trend? And he wouldn't tell me the game. He looked at he looked at my sheet. He's like, you you you picked opposite. And I'm like, Well, don't Aaron: y you you think the opposite. DadBodSportsCards: tell me, just bring it up on the podcast. I was not expecting it to be Arizona and Dallas, is what you Aaron: Arizona, Dallas. DadBodSportsCards: were talking to me about, some kind of trend. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Aaron: It is. Arizona, again, 4-0 since this decade started. So they've been able to just squeak out wins. so that's why I got Arizona. That's the only reason why I got them. I don't care how bad DadBodSportsCards: Huh. Aaron: Arizona is. I'm gonna just gonna roll with the streak. Could DadBodSportsCards: who's your player to watch? Aaron: be a Michael Wilson, he needs to step it up. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. All right, Flint, who you FlintTown: I got Dallas. I think you're right. I think they're riding high. that offense looked a lot better than previous Aaron: Q, kill, kill, kill. FlintTown: previous weeks before. And I hate listening to Dak. Yeah. Here we go. DadBodSportsCards: Here we go. Yeah. Aaron: Well he was audibly like every play. FlintTown: That's so annoying and they mic up almost like so Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: you hear it all the time. But yeah Dallas and CD's gotta step up though. CD is my player Aaron: And pickets. FlintTown: to watch. Pick it both of them. DadBodSportsCards: Pick they're they're only what, a game and a half out of first place? As bad as they're playing. Yeah. Aaron: Yeah. FlintTown: Yeah. They're both playing really bad, to be honest. DadBodSportsCards: Who pickens and C D Lamb? Yeah. Yeah. Javante Williams has been saving them this season, especially for fantasy wise too. that dude, that dude is a fantasy football stud. FlintTown: For real, for real. He Aaron: yeah. FlintTown: he is very underrated for how good he is. Yes. Yep. DadBodSportsCards: I liked it. I liked him in Denver. I liked him a lot in Denver. Yeah. All right. Next game Aaron: yeah. DadBodSportsCards: is another potential game of the week. It's an NFC North rivalry game. We got the Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions. I I didn't struggle because I did all these picks in less than a minute. I didn't struggle. I was disappointed in myself that I picked Detroit to win this game. I think I sorry, I just had a notification pop up to talk about Max Crosby trade, but it was just it was just rumors. so I thought there was actual trade. But Detroit, I think they just have too much offense for the Minnesota. Jared Goff does well against the Blitz, but this isn't a normal Blitz team. Like this is a different kind of Blitz team. Like Brian Flores, it's a different kind of look. But Jared Goff is also used. To playing the Minnesota defense and the and against his style. I don't know what they are historically against Minnesota. I'm gonna assume that they've at least split every year. I don't think they've lost two games to them every year. They probably won two games every year. They split them or lost to they lost twice. They lost twice. That's FlintTown: They did last week or last year. No, they lost both. Yeah. Aaron: Mm. DadBodSportsCards: right. that's right. Because J JJ. no, that brosmurder. That's right. Because we now it came up in a podcast. I don't know. Aaron: In Brosmer. Brosmer, yeah. FlintTown: For us. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: The Detroit's at home. They're riding high off of beaten Green Bay. They just had a Halloween party. They're all they're all together to to to silence this drama. To silence this drama FlintTown: In the G unit. In the G unit. DadBodSportsCards: from Dad Bods cards saying that there's a rift between Amonra, even though he hasn't FlintTown: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: scored a touchdown in the last 12 touchdowns. And Amonra got a and we I we talked about this in the chat. And I I don't mean to be disrespectful in in saying this, like in any kind of Not any kind of racial or any kind of way. But a monra is a thoroughbred. But you guys are treating him like a mule. Cause Dom was like, you know what? He's still got nine catches and 130, 140 yards. I'm like, yeah, they're treating him like a mule. You gotta get him to the finish line. That way he can get his flowers too. But instead they're giving it to J-Mo for whatever reason. And maybe because maybe maybe because a manra is Aaron: Okay. DadBodSportsCards: Getting double covered. I don't know. Amonra's just, he's probably, I don't know. He, you can make an argument that he's the best Aaron: Well Sewell who was this close to a touchdown too. DadBodSportsCards: wide receiver in in football just because he's a good route runner. He could, he could go in any slot. He could play the slot. He could play outside. He can play anywhere, right? but I don't know. They d Detroit's just got too much offense. I don't think Kyler Murray will be able to keep up with Jared Goff in this game. I think, I think Goff in that. Offense can make enough plays. if they score under 30 points, I can see Detroit's defense doing well against Kyler Murray. And it's not because Brian Branch is back or Kirby Joseph. It's just because you're playing against Kyler Murray. And and Aaron Jones is banged up. Yes, Jordan Mason is back, but I mean, don't know how good of a running back he is. So this I I'm looking forward to this game. I think this is going to be a good game. but I I I think Detroit can win this game by by two touchdowns. My player to watch is gonna be it's always gonna be Jared Goff. 'Cause if they if they get pressure up the middle, then this is gonna be a long day for for Goff. Who do you got, Dom? Dom: Yeah, I'm right there with you. I've got Detroit here. at some point this Vikings thing has to it's gotta come back down to FlintTown: Tony Four. Dom: earth. The defense is great, but their offense is it's terrible. It's so bad. I think the Lions win this by at least ten points. I still think low scoring. but I do think Goff gives his gives up his first interception in this game, but it's still not gonna matter. I think the Lions win by at least ten. and DadBodSportsCards: No. Yeah. Yeah, you're the you're the same but as I am, by two possessions. Yep. Yeah. Dom: Yeah. Yeah. And I also have Goff versus the Blitz. I wanna see how you know how he handles it this year versus how he did last year. DadBodSportsCards: Yep. All right, Aaron, who you got? Aaron: Look at the Vikings. They have the best defense in the league, and I think I think it's by far. I don't think another team comes close just in terms of defensively. They can hold I feel like they can just hold Detroit like the Green Bay did. Like you said, there was a lot of yards, but there wasn't just a lot of scoring. They could do the same thing. And we know how much better Vikings defense is than Green Bay's. And it's also another divisional game. So it could get ugly for Detroit's offense. And Minnesota's offense is awful. But they could score seven field goals and win a game. They have DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, yeah. Aaron: the best kicker in the league. Pretty much. DadBodSportsCards: sev seven field goals is three touchdowns. So Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: yeah. Aaron: I I it's entirely possible. So because of just how good the kicker is, I think his streak finally got broken 'cause he got a kick blocked last week, so he's no longer perfect on the season. I I just still like they're winning games and doesn't matter if they win them ugly, they're winning these games because of defense. And so I'm I'm just gonna pick My player to watch is gonna be Kyler. You know, he can't play horrible. Even if he plays like bad to okay, you have Jefferson, you have Addison, you know, you have Hawkinson and Jordan Mason, who I'm pissed about trading now, considering that Aaron Jones is day to day. DadBodSportsCards: Trade him to me in one of our leagues. Aaron: Yeah. it that if that offense can do okay, I think they're gonna beat Detroit. DadBodSportsCards: Well, kyler Murray's thing is if he can get close to 200 yards passing and then eighty to ninety yards rushing, because you have to you have to account for him being a being able to scramble, even though Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: he's five foot eight. But but he is quick and he he he knows how to run, look for passing lanes and everything. but Detroit's Detroit's defensive line's been playing better lately. So those those rushing lanes, sorry, I said passing lanes, but rushing lanes might be clogged up. and I mean Hutch can set the edge. So I don't see Kyler Murray getting off on you know, going around on the edge. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Now he can he's faster than Hutch, but Hutch can FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: just put his arms out and then that's twice the size as Kyler Murray and everything. But but but FlintTown: Catch That's true. DadBodSportsCards: I don't know. I like I'm intrigued by this game because I mean I don't know. I like Minnesota's defense, I love their fucking defense. You got like the best defense potentially going against like It's a top five offense. no no matter how much shit I talk about Detroit, they have a top five offense. So it's awesome to see this matchup. The last matchup I was excited for was the Vikings versus the Bears after we scored fifty nine points and they fucking destroyed us. So, but Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: you know, d Detroit doesn't have to worry about weather. They're they're in a good dome. They're home. So like I'm I'm really curious to see how this game's gonna turn out. Aaron, did you pick a player to watch? It Kyler Murray, right? Okay, Aaron: It was Kalamur, yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Flint, who do you got, Flint? FlintTown: Detroit likes dome. DadBodSportsCards: Jesus. Jesus Christ. FlintTown: so you're absolutely right. It is kind of like a different matchup, like the best defense versus versus the best offense. And DadBodSportsCards: Mm-hmm. FlintTown: I think it's gonna be close game. I don't like the point spread I think is like three points. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: So it could come down to a field goal if that defense holds up and we don't pick apart and like do dump passes real quick. That's what I think they're gonna try to do at in the beginning is try to dump it off. get set the edge. If they if they blitz, dump it off to Gibbs, let Gibbs do his thing. Or quick, you know, slot, you know, passes. But I am nervous about this game just because I know it's divisional. It's gonna be high motor Minnesota's no slouch on their defense at all. And yeah, well, I mean, yeah. DadBodSportsCards: And you lost to them twice last year, which I forgot about. Yeah, yeah. Aaron: Yeah. FlintTown: But I mean, they've always gave every team problems defensively. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: Flores is a monster on that Aaron: Yeah. FlintTown: coach, you know, defense. But give me Detroit. I think Detroit's gonna handle their business. And I think Gibbs is a player to watch. He has to have a big game to have this team win. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, this is a great opportunity for Detroit to knock off a division rival, give them their first loss, and potentially FlintTown: First, yep. DadBodSportsCards: that the Bears are playing a tough game this week. So they can move up in the standings up but up to second place if they can get a if they can get win this week against the the Vikings. All right. So next game, Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets. I didn't I don't know, like I'm not sold on Vegas anymore. but I also don't like the Jets. So the Vegas Raiders are still sticking with Kirk Cousins. They said it's no controversy at all. I hope the Raiders lose the next two games. That way they trade Max Crosby to the Bears. but you know, but they're not switching to Mendoza right now. I'm still picking the Raiders. It might be a bad pick because they're traveling all the way to the East Coast and the Jets defense is solid. Brees Hall might be coming back, but Brees Hall and Bra that Allen guy. Why do you say is is it Braylon? Braylon Allen is Aaron: Yeah. Yeah, spray line. Spell weird, yeah. FlintTown: Rail and nail it. DadBodSportsCards: yeah. So like I mean those two can run it all over Ra the Raiders. The Raiders run game isn't doing well with Genty. I don't know what's going on with that. I mean they spent a lot of money on their offensive line, so I don't know why it's not clicking right now. Maybe it's because of Cousins and they don't have a number one wide receiver and everything, so it's not spreading that defense out that you can you can still account for that rush because you're not worried about the wide receivers. So I got the Raiders. My player to watch is gonna be Trey Tucker. Trey Tucker's got to exp expand that field, open the field up. That way there's more rushing lanes for Ashton Genty, more passing lanes for Brock Bowers in the middle and Mike Mayor and Michael Myers because he's Halloween. And I got my I got my orange jersey because I look like a fucking pumpkin because I'm so fat. So give me the Raiders And Trey Tucker, my player to watch. Dom, who do you got? Dom: All right, this is this is gonna be such a bad game. I've been riding the Raiders bandwagon since probably week two or three. I'm off of it. I'm done. the Jets were embarrassed last week at home. I think they bounce back here, win a low scoring, close game. I'm interested to see what Brees Hall looks like if he's back. but kind of like you said, I'm this might just be wish casting more than anything. I'm I'm This point I want the Raiders to lose just in case they are willing to part with Max. but yeah, I think in an awful football game, I'm taking the Jets. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. Aaron: I got the Raiders. I just think they're a better team. Like that I think it's just better both teams suck. I think Raiders are just a little bit better, so I'm gonna pick 'Cause at least Kurt can ball out. my player to watch is gonna be Genty. Mike Washington has been playing better than DadBodSportsCards: Mm-hmm. Aaron: Genty, so I don't know what's going on with that. Like you said, maybe it's 'cause they can't spread the ball. Maybe with Mike Washington, okay, th maybe they're not expecting a run as much. 'Cause that was the whole problem with Boise State with Genty. If you remember that Boise State versus Penn State game, they would put eight in the box every single play. And because Boise State they had no passing game, Genty couldn't do anything. DadBodSportsCards: I I love you that you're my son, but why would I remember that game? FlintTown: Ha ha ha. Dom: I remember that game. Aaron: It's a college football play is a college football DadBodSportsCards: Do you really? Aaron: playoff game, yeah. Dom: I do for a very specific reason because I heard all the hype about Genty and I watched that game and I was like, this guy's actually not gonna be a good pro. DadBodSportsCards: okay. Did he a bad game against Penn State? okay. Aaron: Yeah. But like Dom: Terrible. Aaron: I said they they put eight in the box every single play and it was like you ran it to Genty, he was touched at the line of scrimmage every single play. Yeah, that they had DadBodSportsCards: 'Cause that's all they had, right? Boys yeah, okay. Aaron: no they had no passing game. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, Mike Washington's faster too. So, you know, Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Genty could you he can run between the tackles, but if those lanes aren't there because they're they're clogging the box up and everything, I'm like he's they they need a wide receiver. They need a wide receiver to to keep that offense to keep defenses on notice. All right, Flint, who do you FlintTown: So are we saying genty is a bust? Aaron: I'm not saying that. DadBodSportsCards: No, I'm not saying that. Dom: I am FlintTown: All right. DadBodSportsCards: Really? Dom: I am. I I wasn't a big fan FlintTown: Ooh. I went. Aaron: I th there's talks about it, yeah. Dom: to begin with. I th I shouldn't say bust. I think he'll be an average NFL cor running back. But he's not gonna be a top DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, app yeah, yeah, yeah. Aaron: Yeah, definitely not a top six pick. Dom: ten guy. FlintTown: Alright, I'm gonna go with Vegas Raiders. I I'm with you all. I think this is gonna be this is a crap game. Like it's kinda who knows what really Vegas is 'cause they're up and down and like they were looking good and now they're not looking good, so I I mean Jets have good players, I just don't think they put it together. So DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: Gimme Raiders Kirco Chains. See if he can be better. That's my player to watch. DadBodSportsCards: So after all four of us are kinda in agreement, not with the same teams, but in agreement that this is gonna be a shitty game, watch this be the best game on Sunday. FlintTown: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: Because you have Geno Smith going back to the Raiders who let him go and he, he played FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: for them. So he might and then Garrett Wilson complaining. So he might just force feed Garrett Wilson the ball twenty times the game and like this game could be a high scoring game. Watch Trey Tucker have like fucking three touchdowns and like two hundred yards receiving Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: just because. Just because all of us think this is gonna be a shitty game, watch the NFL ha, FlintTown: Some Sometimes that's how it is. DadBodSportsCards: yeah, exactly. Aaron: It's like a maxing type game. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: Yep. DadBodSportsCards: All right, next game we got of of a huge AFC North game. The Cleveland Browns Aaron: Which is surprising to say. DadBodSportsCards: at Pittsburgh Steelers. We'll have Aaron go last in this one. But Cleveland Browns are in first place, tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they got the tiebreaker because they beat them on a Thursday night football game earlier in the season. I am picking Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's on a roll right now. Aaron Rodgers playing well. He's feeling himself. He's on his fucking retirement tour, just talking FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: whatever the fuck he wants after these games, talking shit about the owners. If he dies before the end of the season, it's because he's talked too much and somebody in NFL Mafia has gotten to him and everything. Because he's just laying everything out there. And they probably don't want a lot of the stuff that he's saying to be coming out. But he's gonna be my player to watch. as long as Aaron Rodgers keeps playing like the way he is, granted, he didn't throw and Jalen Warren, but Aaron: And and here. DadBodSportsCards: but Jalen Warren had Rico Dado back, so he was able to spell Jalen Warren, and Jalen Warren looked more fresh, but then again, he wasn't playing against the Bucks defense that this that that that last week. but Aaron Rodgers is key to this game because yeah, Jalen Warren can have a great game, but if he still got to pass the ball. And Aaron: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: even though Aaron Rodgers went passing the ball five to seven yards at a time. It's it's working because that Aaron: It is. DadBodSportsCards: defense, that defense is playing well enough. this one I think is actually gonna be a low-scoring game. Like, because both defenses are playing pretty well. Deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers, I mean, Rogers playing better statistically, but I think they're both playing about they're both playing like as a game, like just a game manager and everything. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Let the defense and let the running game running game do do his thing. I think Pittsburgh has a better running game even though Judkins blew up last week, but it could just it could have just been because of the opponent. So give me Pittsburgh and Aaron Rodgers in this one. who do you got, Dom? Dom: so I probably should take Cleveland just because Pittsburgh seems to struggle against Cleveland lately. But like I said last week, I'm not picking against the Steelers until they give me a reason to. they are, like you said, they're on an absolute roll. So I'm gonna roll with them as well. And I want to see how the Jalen Warren Rico Dowdle split continues to go on. Does it get closer to sixty forty, fifty fifty, something like that? Both guys I think are good backs. and I think it's in their best interest to probably split. split them a little bit, keep healthy and and running like they have been. DadBodSportsCards: Yep. All right, who you got, Flint? FlintTown: I also have Pittsburgh. I you can't go wrong with Pittsburgh right now. I think they're they're showing they're a good team. Maybe not on paper. I I wouldn't say on paper they're like, this amazing team, but they're proving it almost every week. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. And often we talk about we talk a lot on here about offenses. Everybody loves offense, right? But FlintTown: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: the Steelers, Cleveland, Minnesota, the way they're the way they're winning right now is how you win games in the winter in December and January because of the cold weather and everything. You got a Aaron: Yeah. This was about to get into, yeah. FlintTown: Yep. Yep. DadBodSportsCards: you got a great defense and then you got a good running game. And then you have a quarterback that's not gonna lose the game for you and everything. and then I mean sure in the wintertime, like because of domes and everything, you'll still get the high score in games. But this is the recipe for these kind of teams that are outdoor teams. Minnesota's not an outdoor team anymore, but I mean that defense is just nasty. But Pittsburgh's defense is is top ten, maybe even top five. I mean, you you got you got a great pass rush there. So that's I mean, that's another reason why I I I think they won this game. All right, Aaron, floor is yours, buddy. Aaron: So, like you said, Steelers defense is top ten, top five. I've been seeing all week. Statistically, we're top ten to top five in basically every single statistic. I think the highest that we're in is takeaways, which I think were second in the league. It's a lot better than last year. And if I g I know you guys don't watch the games, but if you watch the games, it looks horrible. Our defense does not look good. Because we play DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: such a soft zone coverage. They can dump it off to the flat and get five yards. But when it comes third downtime, when it gets into the red zone. Teams aren't doing that good. The Steelers haven't allowed a f second half touchdown in I think four games. They've only allowed three touchdowns in the last three games. And like the defense has just been playing so amazing. We're getting Deshaun Elliott back, which is he played fine last week, but he didn't play a lot. Our seventh round pick, safety, has been surprisingly pretty good. So we let go of Rayshawn Jenkins, who's now on the Ravens, who I'm happy is on the Ravens, because that dude sucks. That dude sucks. Anyways, and and the offense. It wasn't good last week. Especially, like, they showed the staff. After five yards, you know, on passes, it was ugly. But on any pass before five yards, it was pretty much automatic. And our run game was really good too. And I think that's what. We're just gonna beat the Browns. we do struggle against the Browns, but we struggle in Cleveland. We don't struggle in Pittsburgh. And we especially struggle on Thursday night football. But DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: I have faith in the Steelers. We should win this game, and this game will take us the division. We will be number one. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. So I I'm glad you brought up the the c the coverage thing because I am a fan of the Tampa Two. Lovey Smith excelled at the Tampa Two, the cover Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: two in Chicago, but you gotta have pass rushers. And I think when you're talking about your zone coverage, like the w like, you know, it's the soft coverage and everything, Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: you guys could play cover two and that zone coverage because you have pass rushers and Aaron: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: everything. ideally as a Bears fan, I want us to be able to pass rush for four and have seven, seven Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: D Bs out out out there guard guarding against against the pass and everything. But with the Bears can't do that because we have no pass rush at all. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: So we have to send more people. Aaron: It was it was an issue earlier this year. Now I guess and against the Saints, it was it got our pass rush got a lot better. But what's happening in games of four is we're playing this like super soft zone coverage, and the team would just dump it off before the pass rush could get there. Like that's what killed us against the Bengals. and it hurt against the Browns, it hurt against DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Which is weird 'cause you guys you have the Steelers have aggressive cornerbacks. Like Jalen Ramsey's pretty aggressive. Aaron: It's it's how our defensive coordinator is playing it. He likes to play DadBodSportsCards: Okay. Aaron: W it's kinda like a bend don't break kind of thing. it's that's like our red zone defense is really good. So because like I you can't like you can play soft zone in the red zone, but it's a lot more effective. You're not letting up like these five out plates. Yeah. Yeah. So DadBodSportsCards: Well yeah, because there's not as much yeah, there's not as much space. But yeah, that's why it works so so well for the Bears in the Lovey Smith era, because we had aggressive cornerbacks like Charles Tillman. you you get the bump and run off that cover Aaron: Mm-hmm. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: too and ever everything. You don't let anything get past the safeties. Aaron: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: As a Bears fan right now, I don't want anything going past the safeties. Have our safeties back. But the thing is, we don't have a defensive front. So like the and the we'll get to this in the Seattle game. What Seattle does great too is because Seattle plays a lot of two deep safeties and everything. So you they give they give you the opportunity to run the ball on them. You have to run the ball on them. so that's what that's a formula to beat Lovey Smith's cover too was run the ball on them to get those safeties to come up. That way you try to get past them and everything. But I I like the Tampa too. it works well for Bow bowls. Bowls. It works for us it works for us because they're a shitty team. But it Aaron: That was DadBodSportsCards: w it works it works well for bowls in in in Tampa. And who knows, maybe Tampa can make a run now with Baker back. 'Cause that division is still up for grabs because Aaron: That division's shitty. Yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Carolina's not like really running away with it. Aaron: Anyway, that's all I gotta say about the Steelers. So my player to watch is gonna be Arod. last week, I said, you thought he played good, I thought he played okay. The week before he was playing really good against Tampa. Jeremy, Bernard and DK, if they go for ten catches each again, this could be a great game for us. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, yeah. All right. Next game, we speaking of Tampa Bay, we got the Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Bucks. I got the Bucks in this game. Baker's back. He didn't have to do much in the last game because they ran all over Carolina in that blowout. But it could have been just like, hey, we got our quarterback back and it just lifted everyone's spirits and they played lights out on Aaron: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: offense. Bucky Irving played awesome, scored two touchdowns. and I know that because Flint had him in one of our leagues against me and he destroyed Aaron: He DadBodSportsCards: me. but yeah, give me the bucks and my player to watch is gonna be Baker Mayfield. They he has a special glove designed by that training staff. That way he's able to throw with his messed up thumb. So hopefully like I just want to see if he's he if he gets a little bit healthier. He's gonna get healthier every week, every week and everything, to get them back for for what is this the NFC South Division? Yeah. All right, Dom, who do you Dom: Alright, I'm actually going with Atlanta here. I like Atlanta skill position players better. I th I think Tampa has a better defense. but I just like I'd like what the Falcons could do to them. Bijan I expect to finally have it's been a while since he's had a big game and I think he's DadBodSportsCards: Yep. Dom: due for one and and I know Tampa's run defense is their rush defense is tough. But I think he's gonna get it done in this game, so I'm taking the Falcons and he's my my player to watch. DadBodSportsCards: All right, Aaron, who you got? Aaron: I'm in agreement with Dom here. I think this is also Bajan's game to have. If it's not in the run game, he's gonna be good in the passing if he's in the receiving game. I do like Falcons Hill positions where they just beat the forty niners, who are they're down their two wide receivers, but they still did just beat the forty niners and they made Brock Purdy look bad. I mean, like I've been saying, V Purdy and he's been, you know, the front runner. For MVP. A lot the media has been saying Purdy. There's there's been a lot of talk about Purdy because they were undefeated and he was playing good. You don't agree, and that's fine. But there was a Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: I've been calling overrated for a few a few weeks now. Aaron: Yeah. And maybe I maybe that was the game to show it, but they made him look bad. And they're I feel like they're gonna do the same thing to Baker. And I think what the Bucks had last week is they had that the Carolina tired defense. like what Green Bay did to Chicago. You take out their offense, quick three and outs, quick three and outs, and the defense just can't keep up with the offense. So And how the Packers lost last week, I think the Bucks are gonna lose this week. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. Flint, who do you got? FlintTown: It's all about protecting the peanic. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: You gotta protect the Penix. You need a strong Penix. Did you watch that video, Isaiah? Alright. DadBodSportsCards: I did, yeah, yeah. I did. Yeah. Aaron: Yes, I did. FlintTown: Alright. So I agree. I think Atlanta is gonna win this game. but the Bucks defense is good. So it's gonna have to come down to Pennex. And Bijan to win this game. If they get pressure on Penix and that pocket folds and he's just chucking the ball around, I think Tampa Bay will win that game. But give me Atlanta and my player to watch is Baker. DadBodSportsCards: All right, so Glad that all three of you picked Atlanta because we we had this a few weeks ago when you guys were all over Atlanta because you guys believed in Penix. because you got you guys love slurping on the Penix. But FlintTown: Phoenix. DadBodSportsCards: but like and Kyle Pitts has scored in three straight games. Like, so for fantasy football owners, football owners, if you've started him, FlintTown: Finally. DadBodSportsCards: he's he's finally he's finally panning out for you in fantasy football. the Bears were able to sack. Penix five times. And look how bad the Bears beat the Falcons. So I'm glad all three of you picked Atlanta. I think the the Bucks pass rush will be able to get to Penix. You get him off his off his three step, five step drops. Like those skill position players don't matter because he can't get the ball to them. The and technically, like, okay, we could say Kyle Pitts because he scored three straight games. We'll call him a skill position player, that he's a good one. Drake London is another one, but Drake London is like he's not super fast. Everything's timing with that offense. And maybe it'll work against this Tampa two, Tampa two defense, which is like cover two, but it's Tampa two. and maybe it'll work, but I don't know. Like, the Steelers rush defense, they do well against other teams. They can they can bottle up running backs. I think the Bucks can do that. And because Bijan's not gonna have a good game, you're gonna rely on Penix and I I I don't see it. I hope I hope I'm right again because then we can finally say Penix is a bust. Because Mr. Glass fucking throwing piss missiles all the time. He needs to learn how to touch with his peenix. All right. He need he needs better touch. All right. So next game is the Indianapolis Colts, who are doing a fire sale at Jacksonville Jaguars. I don't need to spend a lot of time on this. Trevor Lawrence is my player to watch. Jacksonville to win. who do you got dumb? Dom: I'm with you. I'm taking the Jags. I can't remember the last time the Colts won in Jacksonville. I think it's been years, many, many years. I think I heard that. So I'm taking the Jags and I'm actually I wanna see my my player to watch is really the Jags defense. I w I think they have a shot at the shutout. DadBodSportsCards: nice. All right, Aaron, who you got? Aaron: Jacksonville, my player to watch is gonna be the wide receivers, any one of them. It's like none of that, I'm not gonna say Jacoby isn't a well actually. I totally forgot about Parker Washington. my god. I forgot I was gonna say they DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, we always forget about Park Washington. FlintTown: That's he's the star. Aaron: don't have a definitive, but no Parker what Parker is a definitive one, FlintTown: Yeah, he's Aaron: but it's the it's the other guys that I'm you don't know who's a two there, who's a three there, or who's gonna produce and who's not gonna produce. So that's just gonna be whoever can solidify themselves as a wide receiver. I think it's Myers because just how bad BTJ is playing. But DadBodSportsCards: Mm. Aaron: maybe BTJ could just start having a DadBodSportsCards: I think they have a dude, is his name Jordan Cameron? I don't know. It's another wide receiver behind BTJ that's getting a lot the ball a lot more. He's getting a lot more reps lately. I do have a question. Is there a reason why a lot of people are picking up strange, the tight end strange? Did something happen? FlintTown: 'Cause he's a stud. No, he's a stud. He's Aaron: he's he's good in that Jacksonville offense is good. DadBodSportsCards: What is your definition of a stud? the black female lesbian? Because that is that is what a stud is, which I learned from my one of my daughters, that I had they had to be black, which I didn't know that either, but yeah, I don't know that either. FlintTown: I didn't know that, but I thought it stood lesbians. DadBodSportsCards: Str but sh ha strange is a stud like FlintTown: No, he he is a reliable titan. Aaron: Yeah. He's good. He's not a stud. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. FlintTown: Okay. DadBodSportsCards: I would 'cause I I was curious 'cause in in our sleeper league, his he's trending in all these leagues of getting picked up. I don't even know who their other tight end was. FlintTown: He produces. He produces. DadBodSportsCards: I don't think he Dom: And it's also they're coming off the bye. So people dropped them and now they're picking them back up. That's why you keep seeing them. FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: All right, good night. Love you. All Have a good night. You're not gonna you're not gonna do it? Go ahead. Fucking bay. There you go, thank you. All right. So Aaron, you picked Jacksonville and Flint, you picked Jacksonville too, right? Or did you go yet? Okay. sorry. FlintTown: Yeah, Jacksonville, no, but Jacksonville and BTJ. Aaron: Could we get traded? DadBodSportsCards: He could, he could. FlintTown: That's exactly DadBodSportsCards: the Raiders are looking at him, the Steelers are looking at him and everything. All right. Next. He could be, he could be. It's just just FlintTown: I think he's a good wide receiver, but he's not used DadBodSportsCards: not in the system. He's, it's not his system. mommy Marvin FlintTown: Yep. Yep. DadBodSportsCards: Harrison Jr. scored last week. he's not FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: CJ Strauss got a lot of fucking wide receivers. they're they're all they're Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: all decent. they're none of them are gr I don't even think Nico Collins is great. But they're all like they're all good. average and Aaron: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: maybe can be slightly above average and everything. and then I don't know Marvin Harrison scored. I think only had two or three catches last week, but still. All right. Next game. FlintTown: Yeah. Two. DadBodSportsCards: Next game always like when Flint said a couple weeks ago it it it could be this game because they have not won. because it's historic if a team doesn't win in this season, right? So it's like what game Can the LA Chargers, this is the Battle of LA? Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams. when I saw this matchup, I was like, could it be this week for the Chargers? And I'm like, no, it can't. So I'm picking the Rams. Give me Stafford. The Rams showed a lot last week. everything was going against them, and they fucking like they tore. Who the fuck did they play? The Rams played. because w we were all in the Raiders, the Dom: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Vegas Raiders. And the Rams took it to them. Stafford had three FlintTown: yeah. DadBodSportsCards: touchdowns, less than two hundred yards, but they that game was done and Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: everything. but give give me the Rams that that championship like DNA that the Rams had. They they came out, McVay did everything he could to get p Stafford prepared and that team prepared to run all over what to pass and run all over the Raiders. I think the the Chargers, I don't they're cut Chargers coming off a bye week. Maybe they might have a little like uptick and they're fresh and everything. I just don't see it. I think the Rams are gonna not like this game's gonna be done by halftime, I think. But my player to watch is gonna be Kyron Williams, because I wanna see a Notre Dame running back succeed. because there's not many since Jerome Bettis in the league. So all right, Dom, P you got. Dom: so I'm gonna take the Rams as well. I have heard that the Chargers are trying to simplify the offense and that's what they spent the bye week doing. I don't know if it's gonna help or not. I hope not. So my player to watch is actually like a situation to watch. I'm hoping the Rams kind of can jump out to a big lead at halftime, kind of like you were saying. Cause then I'm curious to see what they do with Khalil Mack. The Chargers do. Does DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, yeah. Dom: he sit? more than normal. I think right now he's playing about sixty percent of snaps. Does that drop to fifty, forty, does he sit the second half? Because we know the Bears have been calling a lot. So well yeah, but especially recently. So DadBodSportsCards: For years. For years. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Aaron: Years, yeah. Dom: do they want to risk him getting hurt or, it it's a trade piece. So let's bring Khalil home is what I'm hoping. but I think a loss this week pretty much pushes that to to being the case. So DadBodSportsCards: And he would probably be a rental. Yeah. Yeah. 'Cause I I don't think he li I don't think Dom: Yes, I would think. maybe you could sign for one year, but Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: he likes Chicago, like the city in itself. I think Dom: He liked his time here, but I don't know if yeah, I don't know if he liked living DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, yeah. Dom: here. DadBodSportsCards: 'Cause he's he's had a option in free agency to come back to Chicago, but he always goes back to the to the West Coast. So I think he just likes the weather out there. Maybe he doesn't like the cold. Maybe that's what it is. Aaron: Maybe. Dom: Maybe. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. All right, Aaron, who do you got? Aaron: I got the Rams. They blew out the Raiders last week and they showed that they're not like this pitiful team. They show that they're a team capable of winning. Chargers are a team not capable of winning because they haven't won yet this year. And DadBodSportsCards: But it's gotta happen, right? Aaron: Yeah, when they play the Titans in like week fourteen it'll happen. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. Did you look Dom: Or the Jets. DadBodSportsCards: at did you look at their schedule? Aaron: They they play I they play the Titans because people have been posting like it's like USC and whoever their rival I can't I can't remember who the rival is, USC. There's a pregame of USC jawing off with their rival and they're like this is how the Chargers Titans game is gonna go. The the one in fourteen Titans versus the O in fifteen Chargers. Or it's like the WrestleMania, Dwayne Johnson, and John Cena, and there's like Rihanna playing in the background. this super hype matchup and it's gonna be Titans versus Chargers. this is this is gonna be the game of the week. but this char they're not a good team. And like what I was looking up is I wonder if they're gonna get seventy five percent capacity at their stadium. Cause you gotta under like you gotta think DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: neither of these teams have fans. Neither of these teams have fans. So we might see FlintTown: gonna bring that up. I was gonna bring that up. There'll be a hundred people there. Aaron: we we might see more. Forty Niners fans in the stadium than either DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: team. DadBodSportsCards: Or Raiders fans there too. Aaron: Or Raiders, yeah. A FlintTown: Yeah. Yeah. Aaron: anyone. FlintTown: I was literally gonna bring that up. you might get a thousand fans there. Cause they have no fans. Both of them. Aaron: Yeah. They're gonna have that they're gonna have that one Asian lady. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Show how show have show have a split jersey for the Rams and Chargers. FlintTown: Yep. Yep. The Rams. Aaron: Did you have a split jersey? DadBodSportsCards: All right, who's your player to watch, Aaron? Aaron: Player why it's gonna be Stafford. he bought out against the Vegas Raiders. He's probably gonna do it again against the Chargers. DadBodSportsCards: All Flint, who do you FlintTown: I got the Rams. I'm not even gonna take much time. Rams and Herbie. See DadBodSportsCards: Are we? Yep. FlintTown: if he's gonna get traded. DadBodSportsCards: All right, next game, we got the Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos. I am picking Kansas City. My player to watch is gonna be Kenneth Walker. They bottled him up, Seattle bottled him up. And it could have been just because they wanted to show like this is why we got rid of you. Kansas City just didn't have a good game against Seattle, and it was in Seattle. I mean, that defense is tough and everything. But Kansas City's, I think, is gonna win this game against Denver. Denver could surprise everybody. It is in Mile High Stadium. Bonicks has I don't know. he had that sixty what, sixty yard rushing yard touchdown last week, which untouch, Aaron: Yeah, untouched. DadBodSportsCards: which is crazy that there was w how wide open that was that run for him was. But yeah, Kansas City, Kenneth Walker and who do you got, Dom? Dom: Yeah, I'm with you. I went back and forth on this one. I wanted to take Denver at home, but I just don't see how they have any offense in this game. Kansas City's defense is pretty good. It's probably not as good as Denver's, but it's good enough to contain, you know, Bo Knicks and, you know, that receiving core, those running backs. So I'm gonna go with Kansas City in a bounce back, and my player to watch is Bo Knicks against that Kansas City defense. DadBodSportsCards: All Aaron, who you Aaron: I got Kansas City. They blew out the Broncos week one, and I think Denver has only gotten worse, and Kansas City has only gotten better. I saw a fun fact about Bill Nick's. He has the shortest NFL name. for I think for a quarterback specifically, five letters. And his A dot is not even five yards. So that's DadBodSportsCards: It's what? Aaron: average depth of target. So Dom: Though I believe it was the highest last week of any quarterback. Aaron: Probably they played the Cardinals, so but yeah, that that's a little fun fact. so Kansas City, like my my player watches could be Mahomes. He hasn't played the best this season, you know, he's coming off the ACL. They've been heavily relying on K9, but he got bottled up, and that's how you beat Kansas City. You just bottle up K9 and you make him kick field goals because Bucker can't anymore. So they're DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: they're gonna have to rely on Mahomes, I think, a little bit more this game. And they DadBodSportsCards: They need they need a wide receiver. Aaron: do need a wide receiver. Other wide receivers suck. DadBodSportsCards: They Rasheed Rice back. He's hurt. He's hurt. He's potentially coming back this week. But they're also in the like they're in the talks of BTJ, lad Lad McConkie. Lad McConkey, Aaron: They're yeah, they're they're all in the talks. Yeah. Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: that I heard that came out today. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: but I mean, yeah, they need a wide receiver bad. Aaron: They they're they need something. But I think Mahomes can do it without wide receivers. He took took fucking Tony, MVS, and Sky More to a Super Bowl and won. And Juju as the wide receiver one and fucking won a Super Bowl. So I think with his wide receiver room right now, he could probably just do something Mahome magic and beat Denver. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. All right, Flint, who do you FlintTown: I was gonna say that with the they need another wide receiver, someone, because Really that's the key thing that they're they're missing to run it back to the Super Bowl is a legit wide receiver. with that being said, I still take Kansas City over Denver. I think K9's gotta have a good has to have a good game and they gotta find that number one wide receiver. DadBodSportsCards: what's Denver's record? Are they five and two? I cause Kansas City just had the first loss. So this is this is Aaron: Thenver's five and two, yeah. DadBodSportsCards: five okay, so this is potentially like to get a good lead in in the division for for Kansas Aaron: Well yeah, they would take the lead in the DadBodSportsCards: City. But if Denver wins, you know, then they have the tiebreaker over Kansas City and everything. All right. Next game up, we got the New England Patriots at Miami. historically New England doesn't do well in Miami, but that's because Tom Brady loves partying in Miami with probably look with hookers and everything and avocados instead of doing Lines of Coke off their hookers' asses. He's probably just eating avocado off their butt cheeks. So, but Tom Brady's not there anymore. So I'm gonna go with the New England Patriots. And AJ Brown is a player to watch because that dude has to start being worth what they got for him and everything for trading for him. So give me the Patriots and A.J. Brown. Who do you got, Dom? Dom: I'm right there with you. I I'm gonna be quick about it. It's AJ Brown. I think this is the game that he finally gets on track. DadBodSportsCards: Yep. Aaron. Aaron: And agreements with Dom, King Patriots, and yeah, AJ Brown. This is gonna be his game to get back. Because if he can't do it this game, I don't know what other games can be able to do it. DadBodSportsCards: All Flint. FlintTown: New England. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: I guess I'll go AJ Brown. I think he's Aaron: Yeah, that's FlintTown: a disappointment of a wide receiver when he got drafted. DadBodSportsCards: He has been Aaron: Yeah, DadBodSportsCards: d Aaron: it's been. DadBodSportsCards: yeah. yeah, yeah. I mean he had his best years probably in ten in Tennessee, right? He played well FlintTown: Yeah, yeah. Aaron: No, I think DadBodSportsCards: in Philly. I mean he got a Super Bowl in Philly, but I think statistically his best years yeah. FlintTown: But he's hasn't been that he hasn't been that guy, I guess. That's my opinion. Aaron: No, his best years were in Philly. His first two years in Philly, he hit fourteen DadBodSportsCards: Okay. Aaron: hundred yards twice. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. So his best years were in Philly then. Yeah. But but he got a he got a championship and then after that, maybe the desire to play is gone because he's got his championship, he's got his money, and who knows? I don't know. It something something's gotta give with it with him. Like I'm not gonna feel bad for New England trading for him, but that that's you FlintTown: Yeah. No. DadBodSportsCards: know, but 'cause I mean, who knows? Like New England played pretty well against the Bears last week. Drake May just had one mistake, and maybe that's pretty much why they lost. It seems like that one mistake. All right. Next game is the Sunday night football game. Got the Philadelphia Eagles, possibly Saquon Barkley coming back. He got hurt again. but we'll we'll see what his status is at Washington Commanders, who I believe had a bye last week. So I'm gonna go with the Commanders. my player to watch is gonna be JD Five. I mean I'm No other reason because I don't know who else to pick on that team. I guess maybe Diggs. but but JD five's throwing it to Diggs. I don't even know who the running back is because I JCM is on the IR and everything. So JD five's probably gonna have like eighty yards rushing and Aaron: What was his name? DadBodSportsCards: maybe like two fifteen passing. But Philly's Philly f Dom: Rashad White, I think. DadBodSportsCards: Rashad White, yeah. Who's Aaron: That's what we DadBodSportsCards: who's who's better as a receiving back than actual Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: like actual like a rushing back? But Philly, I mean Who knows? Their their defensive player, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, as great as they are, they weren't even trying to line up last week. They were just standing up and everything. I think that whole team's mentality is like we're done this year and everything. Which is crazy because there's they could still be in it if they may if they just get a little bit of momentum and everything. But yeah, I I got the commanders in JD five. Who do you got, Dom? Dom: Alright, so both of these teams are so injured. It's insane. everyone's hurt. I'm also taking Washington coming off the bye, but it's only because they have their starting quarterback. That that's the only reason. If if Washington loses this game, What's the coach's name? no, I'm drawing a blank. Quinn, thank you. He's he's DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, thank you. Dom: firmly, firmly on the hot seat. I I think both of these coaches probably get fired by the end of the season. DadBodSportsCards: They should, yeah. Aaron: Yeah. FlintTown: I agree. Dom: but yeah, Dan Dan Quinn with what's what's happened there, they cannot afford to lose this game. So I'm taking the commanders and my player to watch is actually Rashad White. DadBodSportsCards: Okay. Aaron. Aaron: Got commanders, like you guys are saying, they're both just super injured. And the commanders, just because they have their starting quarterback, they can their offense can run. Maybe not like you know, not like super well, but you know, just good enough. Philly's offense, they they're gonna have no offense in this game. And my player to watch is gonna be JD five. I'm not saying he has to like play bites out, but he has to play pretty good. Because if he doesn't play pretty good, I don't think this Team has a good rushing game and Philly I their Philly's defense is still pretty good, but Philly could s they they had the player, so yeah. DadBodSportsCards: they got the pla they got the players. Yeah. Yeah. Aaron: And if things go right, their offense can maybe squeak out a win. If the commander's offense just plays terrible. But I don't think that's gonna happen. DadBodSportsCards: Ma maybe Tanner McKee will have the game of his life. Aaron: Maybe. Or doom dun dun call the Panthers. Hey, we want Kenny Pickett back. DadBodSportsCards: Jesus Christ, can he pick it? Aaron: So we could throw it at the dirt again. DadBodSportsCards: Or or trade for Justin Herbert. do make make that trade. Aaron: And then Jalen Hurts is never playing again if they do that. If they go for that, that means Jalen Hurts is done. His career is gone. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. and it could be because of 'cause of that blood clot. Aaron: Actually, I'm not sure about that because I don't think they're guarant I don't think they're guaranteed any more money for Jalen Hurts. So I think they could release him and not hurt financially. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. And also there's if there's a medical retirement, there's some relief from the league on that to a team because it's an unexpected thing. there's so many different loopholes and everything. All Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: right, Flint, who do you got? FlintTown: I also have Washington, but keep your eye out on if Saquon is starting or if they bench him because rumor is he's on the trade block too. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, yeah. He he's on the trade block. His contract is the problem. So FlintTown: So yep. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: if he does get traded, it could be for a lesser pick because they would want Philly to take a lot of that salary and everything. But yeah. Yeah, great, great point. All right. The game of the week for me is Monday night football. So we got the Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks. everything. That I'm seeing on the national media and everything is that Seattle is gonna beat the Bears. This is the toughest game for the Bears this year. probably besides Buffalo later on in the season. but I'm a firm believer in my quarterback and my coach. I'm and I think we can get to Sam Darnold. I think I think we can rattle Sam Darnold to the point where our offense is gonna do enough. potentially Menungai is gonna be coming back this week. He's obviously not gonna be a hundred percent, but we have to be able to run the ball in Seattle to beat them. the Bears lead the league in time of possession. I think it's like thirty five minutes per game that they and that's by far like three minutes more than the the number two team and everything. So the Bears offense is making our defense look better. I mean, if you think about it, our defense hasn't been on the field that much this season and they've given up a lot of points and a lot of yards, and that's awful. If we had a normal offense, just like an average offense, our defense would be at the bottom of the list. But because our offense is being able to hide some of our discrepancies on defense because we're keeping them all off the field with that time of possession. We're the number one rushing team in football. Seattle does like to play the two deep safeties so you don't beat anything over the top. a dunze has to have a good game to spread that field because as much as I like Luther Burden going on deep routes, it has to be a Dunsey because he's got the size and leave up the middle open for Loveland and Burden. And also running lanes for Swift and Monungai. If Monungai's back. if Monungai's not back, it's gonna be a harder task for the Bears to do. Roshan didn't look good against New England, but he also didn't get a ball a lot. They ran the ball a lot with a Swift. But I mean, they're coming off 10, they're have 10, 11 days rest. So that's good for Swift to be able to. Get maybe twenty-five carries if Manungai can't go. but give me the Bears. My player to watch is gonna be Caleb. It's gonna be a primetime game. It's everybody's gonna be talking about Caleb, national media and everything before before this game. He's done nothing but do great things in the spotlight and everything. And I think it continues against Seattle. even though everybody thinks how Seattle's defense is great. but they are they can be exposed. Brock Purdy exposed them. Stafford has exposed them, but that also those are divisional games. but I think I think Ben Johnson can exp exposes defense, especially since our game plan is probably gonna be rushing first and then everything else is gonna open up later. who do you got, Dom? Dom: so I am so excited for this game. This is going to be a true test. I love the matchup of Ben Johnson versus McDonald, two young, brilliant head coaches. that Seattle defense looked amazing last week. They looked back like Super Bowl defense. DadBodSportsCards: Mm-hmm. Dom: and they're gonna be scary. They're gonna be tough. I think this is gonna be a super close game. I'm taking Seattle, but it's only because they're at home. They're so hey, listen, they have such an advantage being at home. Aaron: That's good point. Yeah. Dom: If they were playing at Soldier Field, I would be taking the Bears. This is going to be an amazing game. I just, you know, I think the Bears will show again that they can hold their own against championship level teams. my player to watch is going to be lovely. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, so I'm kinda happy that you're picking Seattle because two weeks ago you picked Atlanta, the Bears shellacked Atlanta, last week you picked New England. The Bears beat New England. And now you're picking Seattle. Let's stick with that trend. Maybe you're doing this on purpose, because I know you're you might not be I I hate this fucking new saying. You might not be superstitious, but you could be stitched. That fucking the Aaron: Ha ha ha. DadBodSportsCards: the whole new saying. I fucking hate it. But Dom: I'm just a little stitchious. DadBodSportsCards: yeah, just a little stitched. It's not superstitious. But so Seattle's offense doesn't scare me. Like Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: they have no run running game. Like maybe Aaron: GSM. DadBodSportsCards: Charbonnet's coming back this week, but but he's coming off off that injury, so he's not gonna be a hundred percent. he'll be fresh, but he's I don't know. But also Charbonnet is not anything to be, I don't think, scared of anyways. Yeah, but yeah, that that that that does help. the and JSN, Aaron: Yeah. Dom: they also get Quentin Nelson, which helps. And and they have JSN who I think is the best receiver in football. Aaron: They do get quite announced. DadBodSportsCards: but then other than that, they don't have anybody else besides JSN. Like, so I think our defense can do okay. FlintTown: Perhaps. DadBodSportsCards: And then Darnold is not a mobile quarterback. We have we kind of struggle with mobile quarterbacks. So I th I think we can get to Darnold. So I think that that's why I'm like high on on the Bears this week. I you you think it's gonna be a close game? I think the Bears win this forty one to twenty four. Aaron: He DadBodSportsCards: No, I actually I changed that. Forty one to seventeen is it's gonna be Bears. All right, Aaron, who you Aaron: I don't know how much you guys are on Twitter, but all the memes about Jalen Johnson and JSN, they're like. JSN's gonna have 150 yards by halftime. it's gonna, it's gonna be bad. I think you're right. The Bears can probably just somehow get to Darnold, whether it's with pressures, or maybe they can get a couple sack. Not a couple, but at least one sack. Maybe they could rattle Darnold. Because if you rattle Darnold, it's gonna be ugly for that passing game. And they have no rushing game. at least last year if you rattled Darnold, they had K9 and then Charbonnet was a good, one two DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: punch. My player to watch is gonna be Nicomon Wori. That dude is a monster on Seattle's defense. And that is what's scaring I'm picking Chicago, but he is what's scaring me. Because he he plays all three levels. He is almost like another Kyle Hamilton. Kyle Hamilton, I think, is just on another sphere. I think he's in a tier of his own as a DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Aaron: safety. But Nicamon Wori, I don't know if remember a couple weeks ago He was he lined up on all fours, won a pass rush against Joe Alt, and had a pressure against Justin Herbert. it's that dude is crazy. Like he'll play a safety, he'll play linebacker, and he's really good off the edge. So he's gonna be the guy that Chicago has a game plan around. And if he balls out, it's gonna be so hard for Chicago to DadBodSportsCards: Well what's your definition of balling out for Aaron: a pick, a force fumble. One of those at least a turnover and he's gonna be in the backfield. if Chicago, if they wanna run it a lot, they gotta worry about him blitzing off the edge and getting in the backfield. Cause he is good at that. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah, com us hav not having comet's gonna hurt us in Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: this game. Aaron: Yeah. but yeah, I'm still gonna pick Chicago. I think they're gonna be able, you know, to play around him. Like that's what teams have been doing. They've they've not run at his side at all. So I think Chicago's gonna do that trend. And I trust Chicago's passing game enough against Seattle's past defense. And I don't trust Seattle's offense. I trust JSN and that's it. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Well hopefully the Bears would dedicate two people to JSN because they don't have to worry about anybody else on that offense. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah, basically. DadBodSportsCards: Get to Darnold and put double team JSN. Yeah. Aaron: JSN, yeah. And maybe we'll have a hundred twenty or is a half instead of a hundred fifty. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. I I'm okay with that. Aaron: I'll take it. But yeah, like I said, my player watch is gonna be Nickamon Wori. If he does what he does against the Bears, the I don't think the Bears have a chance. DadBodSportsCards: All right, Flint, who do you got? FlintTown: I agree with Dom a hundred percent. And it comes down to being Aaron: Of course you FlintTown: it comes down to being home field advantage. To be honest. I I think that's the major thing about this game is home field advantage. Cause it's a whole different level at Seattle. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, it especially on Monday night football. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yep. FlintTown: That's why they have that advantage. And that's why every team has such hard time playing at that stadium. Is 'cause it's it's loud. I think isn't DadBodSportsCards: It's FlintTown: that the loudest stadium in the NFL? Aaron: No, that's arrowhead. That is arrowhead. FlintTown: Arrowhead? DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, air yeah, Kansas City is like the loudest stadium. but at at one point, I mean Seattle's very loud because they designed that stadium. Aaron: Yeah. And they cause earthquakes. FlintTown: Yeah, to be loud. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. So I'm I'm looking at let me look at Seattle's schedule. Aaron: I think the arrowhead owns has the record for Loudus Stadium. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, decibel rating. All right. So let's see. Seattle beat the Patriots at home. They beat the Chargers at home. They lost to the forty niners at home. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: And then they beat they beat the Chiefs. But the Chiefs the Chiefs is an outlier game, I think, because it was the Kenneth Walker game. They wanted Aaron: Mm-hmm. DadBodSportsCards: they wanted to bottle him up and then I mean that's all that's all Kansas City can do right now. but yeah, I mean but and Purdy, the the forty niners beat them, but that's a divisional game, so that's different mindset. I don't Yeah, it was it was thirty two twenty nine. FlintTown: Wasn't that a close game too? Yeah. Yeah. Aaron: It was a super close game. And then there was that cup, first down or not first down. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. But I was just looking at Sam Darnold's stats. Eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: if we get to Darnold and we throw him off his game, this is an easy win for the Bears. it's eat I th I think it's it's just a domino effect. If we can get if we can bottle up that offense, get to Darnold, then eventually like the Bears ha I th I I'm convinced that the Bears have the best offense in football. So you're not gonna be able to keep us under thirty points in in a game. Caleb, and I we I know we talked about this in our chat. Caleb, when he starts a game and finishes, it's very important that we're we're getting those both caveats, Aaron: Ha ha ha. DadBodSportsCards: right? When he starts a game and he finishes, he averages thirty points a game. So I don't think Seattle's defense is good as good as everybody thinks they are, is gonna be able to keep this offense under thirty points. Again, we are the number one rushing team in football. Seattle's weakness is r running backs. So we're gonna run all over them and then Caleb's gonna make I don't know. He I he had like I think he had like five to seven explosive like plays for in passing last week against New England. And New England's defense is probably better than Seattle's defense. The only reason why we're given cr like credence to Seattle's because it's a home game for them. But New England's defense is top 10 in the NFL. They're just Aaron: yeah, definitely. DadBodSportsCards: as good as Seattle's defense. It might not be as good as Seattle at home, but and and Caleb Caleb had an easy day against them and everything. So I think I I think people are overlooking. I know I I expect Dom to pick Seattle because he's going to keep that trend of him being wrong because he likes that. And then I expect Flint because Flint needs the Bears to lose that way. the Lions that FlintTown: No we don't need the bears, but DadBodSportsCards: you do, you do. Because the Bears aren't gonna win any divisional games. So the Bears have to win all their non divisional games. So yes, you do need the Bears to lose. Dom: You said they're going fifteen and two. FlintTown: I think though Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Well, I still think we're going fifteen and two. FlintTown: think though like you said if the Bears run all over I mean the Bears could do what they did to Kenneth Walker too. And that's like you know what I mean? If they DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. FlintTown: bottle your running game up, you don't you know, then it's gonna be really hard to start getting that offense to have DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, well if the if they bottled up our running game, so our running game hasn't done well that 'cause it didn't do well against New England either. But if you bottle up our running game, then then Dom's right about the player to watch. It's gonna be Loveland. We're gonna have another big Loveland game. Burden had a huge first half against New England and everything, and then second half we kinda kinda slowed down a little bit because we couldn't get our running game established. And then we just had it Caleb had to make a couple plays here and there just to keep us ahead of of New England. All right. So that is week eight picks. And you guys have anything else you want to discuss about week eight or any other any other topics like about trades or anything? Dom, let me I wanna ask you for for Cleo Mack, would what's the highest draft pick that you would go for Cleo Mack? I say fourth. Yeah, fourth or fifth. Yeah. Dom: a fifth. Yeah, I I don't even know if he would cost a fourth. He's thirty five years old. He's on expiring deal. Probably a fifth. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: he d has four to five sacks this season, which is I mean, he's he would be a spot pass rusher for us. Dom: Yes. He's a slightly better version of Montez Sweat at this point. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Yeah. what about Flint? Do you what you got, Aaron? Aaron: We need I was talking to someone today. I want Josh Downs. Cause they were saying he is a very he's very good against man coverage, and we just play the most man coverage out of any other team. So and he probably could go for a third. we could give up a third for Josh Downs, I wouldn't be upset. Third or fourth. If it's a third DadBodSportsCards: If you give up a third for Josh Downs, that means you're getting me. You're getting me for a fifth if you're getting a third for Josh Downs. Aaron: A third standalone. If we're like a fourth and a fifth, okay. Actually I'll I'll scratch that. If we get a third because we draft so well in the third. DadBodSportsCards: W who the fuck is Josh Downs to get a third round pick? Aaron: He's he's pretty good. DadBodSportsCards: No. That's FlintTown: Not first, third. Aaron: Yeah. Maybe maybe I'm just Maybe I'm thinking too highly of Josh Downs. I was speaking to a Colts fan, so DadBodSportsCards: like Flint calling Strange a stud. Like, no. Yes, yes, you are, because who the fuck is he? He's not even the best wide receiver on their team right now. FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: And there's nobody on the Colts. I can't even tell you another wide receiver's name because Alec Pierce is hurt. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: And I can even tell you the wide receiver Keaton Allen is Keaton Allen is the Dom: Bears legend Keenan Allen. Aaron: Keep now. DadBodSportsCards: best wide receiver for the Colts. That's how good Josh Downs is. Aaron: Maybe I'm thinking too highly of Josh Downs. DadBodSportsCards: You you definitely are. A third round pick. Yeah. Yeah. Aaron: Third that that is crazy. I'll take that. Dom: Is he still under contract after this year? DadBodSportsCards: Flint, you guys you guys are What's that? Aaron: I don't know. Probably not, honestly. Dom: His contract. DadBodSportsCards: I didn't even know what his contract he was he drafted Dom: Yeah, if it's expiring, there's no way they didn't you're giving up a third. DadBodSportsCards: in the first round? Yeah. Dom: I don't think so. DadBodSportsCards: So you don't even have to Google it, Aaron. We don't care about Josh Downs. Dom: Ha ha DadBodSportsCards: I'm trying to get to Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Flint over here. Flint, who are who are who like are the Lions still targeting anyone? Are they trying I haven't heard anything about the Lions lately? FlintTown: They need to target a cornerback in a sta safety. So they put Kirby on the pub. DadBodSportsCards: Got him off the pup list. Yeah. Yeah. FlintTown: Yes. So they're figuring out is he gonna be able to go before the trade deadline? Because I think they're looking at it as if he's good to go, then they don't have to trade for a safety, but if not, they're gonna have to look for a safety and of DadBodSportsCards: a safety too? Okay. because he is a safety, right? Okay, yeah, he is FlintTown: Safety in a corner. Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: a safety. I'm trying to think what other big names. Can you think of any other big names that are on the trade block, especially for our team? Dom for the Bears. Dom: there's DadBodSportsCards: Joss just sweat. Dom: Josh Sweats up. Apparently they want a second for him. No thank you. He's not that good DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. Dom: anyways. He only has two sacks and ten pressures this whole season, so I'm kinda off that. DadBodSportsCards: but he's also playing for the Cardinals. So the mentality there, Dom: Joe. DadBodSportsCards: nobody wants nobody wants to play for the Cardinals. FlintTown: I think they're giving up. Yeah. I think they're giving up and the Eagles are giving up. DadBodSportsCards: I would love Dom: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: for us to get Jalen Carter. Maybe for a fourth round pick. Dom: They just signed him to FlintTown: You ain't getting Dom: that big deal. He they're not trading him. FlintTown: you ain't getting no Jalen Carter. Yeah, they're not No way. DadBodSportsCards: Fourth round pick for Jalen Carter. They had him they had Aaron: Que DadBodSportsCards: they had they had him on the trade block. Well, so it would be a fourth. So the yeah. The only way the Bears could get FlintTown: David wanna first for Carter. Yes. Dom: Probably multiple first. DadBodSportsCards: him for a fourth is if they took if they took on that s you laugh, but y if they take on that salary, they could probably get him for a fourth. Because that clears the books for Philly. FlintTown: They're not. They're not giving them up. DadBodSportsCards: And we have the potential to do that because we can negate Montez Sweat's contract because of his PEDs. FlintTown: P V. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. His performant enhancing drugs that got him zero sex. FlintTown: That doesn't work. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah, exactly. Aaron: was used that sentence to me. Someone said i th someone asked if he was taking extra DadBodSportsCards: Estrogen? Jesus Christ. Maybe. And that's a shot on him. And that's and that's funny. FlintTown: Started growing titties. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: I still, I still think that the Bears planted something in his food or something to make him piss hot because they want to get rid of that contract. Because they want to make room for a Max Crosby, a Jalen Carter. Yeah, but you but you can't prove it. FlintTown: That would be wild to do that to your own player. Aaron: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: You can't prove it, though. There's no way to prove it. they're going all Russia style poisoning people. Russia FlintTown: Yeah, yeah. DadBodSportsCards: and North Korea are really good at poisoning people. And maybe, maybe FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: Putin and Kim Jong-un, my cousin, went to George McCaskey, is like, hey, Montez Sweat is a problem. His contract's a problem. And you need a pass rush. So let's get rid of him. Which which they could like I've heard they put him on the trade block along with Jalen Johnson, but nobody's gonna want Jalen Johnson. Nobody's gonna want. FlintTown: Who how long is that contract for Montez Swaz? DadBodSportsCards: It it could be cut off any time now. Dom: Think he's got one more FlintTown: No, I know, but how long is it? DadBodSportsCards: He's he's got I think he's got one more year. this year than next year. Dom: And I don't even know if it's fully guaranteed. DadBodSportsCards: It will his whole pissing hot FlintTown: Hopefully yeah. DadBodSportsCards: negates the guaranteed money. Dom: There you go. DadBodSportsCards: Yep. So that's why he was like when he was getting interviewed about it, he was like, I just want to move on. He's like, it caught me by surprise. He's like, I just want to move on. Because he knows that hi he's about to lose out on a shit ton of money because the Bears are probably gonna cut him like after this season, if they don't trade FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: him. Like trade him, like give him a package, you know, for Jalen Carter or a Max Crosby. Or something like that. Throw him in that package with it. I would love to have Sweat and Max Crosby, but if that's the deal breaker giving up a sec what would you give for Max Crosby, Dom? First? Dom: A first and maybe a future second if it needed it to get it done. DadBodSportsCards: Yeah. A first, a future second, or a first, maybe a future fourth, and throw in Montez Sweat. And then we'll just give you Jalen Johnson. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Dom: Yeah, but now you gotta give him another pick too to take him. DadBodSportsCards: Well yeah, we'll we'll throw we'll throw in we'll throw in Aaron: Ha ha ha. DadBodSportsCards: a fifth round pick to take Jalen Johnson too. Maybe they can give us one of their young cornerbacks that on their practice squad for Jalen Johnson. That fucking dude's trash. I FlintTown: How much cap do you guys got? DadBodSportsCards: don't know. It's not it's not a lot. It's it's gotta Dom: Right now, nothing. DadBodSportsCards: it's gotta be between probably eight to fifteen million. But I don't know what what Well yeah. FlintTown: 'Cause Max's Max's contract is pretty big. Dom: Well, you probably renegotiate and you figure it out. DadBodSportsCards: Well, so the big thing is if we want to get Max Crosby, I would be okay with giving up two number ones if they took on the salary. Like his remain like a lot of his salary. I would be okay with that. Because it's it's win now. It's win now. I'm not even looking at next season because you don't know what's gonna happen next season. Especially with Caleb, you know, his hamstring that got hurt earlier this season. Like you win now. Like you go for it now. You never know. All right. We kept this under two hours, surprisingly. FlintTown: Beat up. DadBodSportsCards: But all right, that is the week eight picks. I'm gonna try to get everyone's picks, have their own pick, and then we'll say Flinttown Sports Cards and all his picks this week, and they'll have Dom, the Italian mafioso, and then his all his picks this week, and then just Aaron. having all his picks down. I will try to get AI to create that. I know people hate AI, but fuck you, it's easier. I would tr I I put in the comments in it to chat GPT, make it look less AI. And sometimes they do and sometimes not, but it it is what it is. Like it's a one man production team over here. So because someone did request that if we if we could put all our picks into one One thing, but I think if we do it individually that way on our social medias, you guys could put it out like, hey, this is your picks for this week. So FlintTown: Yeah. DadBodSportsCards: I'll I'll try to get that done. and yeah, and look for a very special intro. AI didn't catch it last week on there. And then when I submitted it on the one that I put for thirty dollars a month, like I put in the time frame of when that happened. And then they went to a different game. So it wasted my last eight credits. FlintTown: my gosh. DadBodSportsCards: So they they it it went to Kansas City and Seattle. I'm like, no, that's not the game that I wanted for it to create. So I will manually put that so that will be a very special intro for this show. But you guys done? You guys got anything else? All right. All two of FlintTown: We do. DadBodSportsCards: you for listening. Keep the comments coming. Also, shout out to Big Riz for sending me those. Those cards and always supporting the podcast. Peace out.
