- 0:00so the other day i was pulling up in front of the theater and like there always is there was
- 0:22magically one spot on the street i don't know how i always get so lucky i know but anyway so
- 0:29I pull up to like parallel park. So like I pull up next to a car and then I stop. And then suddenly
- 0:35somebody comes from the sidewalk and like starts to like get into the back of my car.
- 0:42And like, well, it was locked, thankfully. But I'm, and so I'm like disoriented. I'm like,
- 0:46I've got my reverse lights on. I don't know if there are people coming down the street,
- 0:49like waiting for me or whatever. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. Like I'm not an Uber driver.
- 0:53I'm not an Uber driver. And then this person, um, this person comes like, is like annoyed that they
- 1:01can't get in. It's locked. And so then they come to like the, the passenger side seat and they're
- 1:06like looking in the window, like, like, what, like, what the heck? And then it turns out it's,
- 1:11so in my current level one class that I teach, there was only one person that dropped out.
- 1:18Uh, the rest of them all stuck around. Occasionally there's like one or two. Um,
- 1:21but this guy dropped out and it was him.
- 1:25And he,
- 1:26he like,
- 1:27he's like looking in an angrily at me.
- 1:29And then he notices it's me.
- 1:31And then he goes,
- 1:32how have you been?
- 1:37I'm like,
- 1:38great.
- 1:39I'm not your Uber driver.
- 1:40And then he like embarrassing,
- 1:42like he's embarrassing.
- 1:43He like walks away.
- 1:44It was really funny.
- 1:45That's a pretty good story.
- 1:46Actually.
- 1:47Thank you.
- 1:48That also seems like great advice for anyone who's committing a crime.
- 1:51and then they get caught to just immediately pivot.
- 1:54Hey!
- 1:55What have you been up to?
- 1:56Oh, were these your jewels?
- 1:59Oh, sorry.
- 2:00I thought they were mine.
- 2:01I only ever steal from people that I've taken an entry-level improv class from.
- 2:06Yeah.
- 2:07I'm glad you weren't murdered.
- 2:09Me too.
- 2:10Yeah.
- 2:11I mean, I knew exactly what happened.
- 2:12It was like, come on, dude.
- 2:14And then while it was also annoying,
- 2:17because while he was trying to get into my car,
- 2:19this like couple just started standing in the spot,
- 2:23like like looking around,
- 2:24like to see if they could jaywalk.
- 2:26And so like,
- 2:26I'm now I'm like,
- 2:27I need to back in there.
- 2:28I have my reverse lights on people pay attention.
- 2:31Be honest for a split second.
- 2:33Did you think I'm going to have to use my vehicle as a weapon?
- 2:36Oh,
- 2:36uh,
- 2:37for a split second,
- 2:37I have thought I've got to get to use my vehicle as a weapon.
- 2:42Finally.
- 2:42I'm sorry.
- 2:43That was taken away from you.
- 2:44Yeah,
- 2:44I know.
- 2:46Yeah,
- 2:46but good,
- 2:47good on you.
- 2:47You didn't put it in drive and find them.
- 2:49Yeah.
- 2:50And then you could have hit him and then gotten out of the car and walked up and said,
- 2:54I'm going to find you.
- 2:55Yeah.
- 2:56I will find you.
- 2:58Yeah.
- 3:00Anyway, welcome to Very Fine Friends, a podcast where friends talk about stuff.
- 3:05And occasionally vehicular manslaughter is one of those stuffs.
- 3:11It's only manslaughter if they die.
- 3:13That's true.
- 3:14Is it vehicular mansmaiming if they don't?
- 3:18I love the way that sounds.
- 3:19Man's maiming.
- 3:21Yeah.
- 3:21Let's call it that.
- 3:22Okay.
- 3:23I was thinking love tap, but.
- 3:25Would you quit man's maiming to me?
- 3:26Yeah.
- 3:28No, love tap sounds nice.
- 3:31You're right.
- 3:32Like you want it.
- 3:33Yeah.
- 3:34Yeah.
- 3:35Man's maiming.
- 3:35Man's maiming.
- 3:36That's probably already in the legal dictionary.
- 3:38Well, you are a lawyer.
- 3:39Let me check my Miriam's legal dictionary.
- 3:43There it is.
- 3:44Man's maiming.
- 3:44Oh, well, I guess I can't believe I intuited that.
- 3:50I can.
- 3:50You've been hanging out with me.
- 3:51You know, I heard that you become like the five closest people in your circle.
- 3:57Hmm.
- 3:58Uh-oh.
- 3:59I need to expand my circle a little bit.
- 4:01Yeah, I need to change it up.
- 4:03I know.
- 4:05This is like your MySpace top five or whatever.
- 4:08Listeners, just so you know, they're not talking about anyone in this room.
- 4:11No, no, no.
- 4:11No, the two of you can stay.
- 4:13There's two other people that I'm thinking I could rotate out.
- 4:19Totally.
- 4:21But anyway, well, here we are.
- 4:24And here we stay.
- 4:28To live and laugh and love and play.
- 4:31And gay.
- 4:34You gay, you gay.
- 4:36God.
- 4:37Gay.
- 4:38Did you say God?
- 4:39God.
- 4:40Gay.
- 4:41Oh dear gay god
- 4:43I know that's
- 4:44what's his face
- 4:47John Roberts
- 4:49on YouTube
- 4:50he had this like running
- 4:53YouTube series just hilarious
- 4:55it's basically he voices Linda
- 4:57on Bob's Burgers
- 4:59and it's basically Linda
- 5:01is essentially this character that he's been doing
- 5:03which I think is supposed to be like his mom
- 5:05I love her
- 5:07yeah just
- 5:08very like Long Island.
- 5:12Video credit. My son is gay.
- 5:13John Roberts, YouTube.
- 5:14Look it up. It's hilarious.
- 5:17It's just him as his mom coming to terms with the fact that
- 5:19she's got a gay son.
- 5:22God.
- 5:23Gay.
- 5:26Yeah.
- 5:26I'll check it out. Thanks.
- 5:27Yeah, it's funny.
- 5:29You can probably cut the feed now because I got what I needed.
- 5:31It's really funny when you've
- 5:33basically seen it in real life too
- 5:35with your own mother.
- 5:36Are you okay? Are you doing okay?
- 5:38Talk after the pod.
- 5:40Oh, God.
- 5:42Anyways.
- 5:44Back to our straight audience.
- 5:46Yeah.
- 5:48Who loves heterosex?
- 5:51I know I do.
- 5:53It's all getting our trucks.
- 5:55I don't know why trucks.
- 5:57Whoa.
- 5:58Bird or something.
- 6:00I think it was like a...
- 6:02It was smaller than a bird.
- 6:04It was like a grasshopper.
- 6:05Like a cicada.
- 6:07Ah, okay.
- 6:07It just bumped into the window and for some reason I made me go.
- 6:11Love tapped into the window.
- 6:13Yeah.
- 6:14The birds named.
- 6:15Yeah.
- 6:15Quick interruption.
- 6:17Every week on the podcast, we do something where our producer Joe gives Francis and I each our own secret word.
- 6:27Throughout the course of the podcast, we need to find a way to slip the secret word into our conversation without the other person noticing.
- 6:35If the other person can correctly guess the secret word, they get a point.
- 6:40And right before we die, we add up all the points.
- 6:45And then we get a prize, whoever has the most points, for guessing the most secret words.
- 6:50Here's Joe with today's secret words.
- 6:54Jenna's secret word is newsstands.
- 6:57Jenna's decoy word is chronology.
- 7:00Francis' secret word is seaboard.
- 7:03Francis' decoy word is extradited
- 7:06Back to the pod
- 7:08Alright, well
- 7:10We didn't have to invent a legal term
- 7:15Because it already existed
- 7:17But we do have to get to
- 7:20The invention of the week
- 7:23Inventions
- 7:26I see what you did there
- 7:32Uh-huh, uh-huh
- 7:33That was so good.
- 7:36Francis, what do you got for me?
- 7:38What up?
- 7:39Okay.
- 7:41You, Jenna and Joe.
- 7:43Yeah.
- 7:44This is it.
- 7:47Finally.
- 7:48I was talking to someone this past week who is a listener.
- 7:51Hmm.
- 7:52And they talked about how they went on a date and they got a kiss.
- 7:55Oh, nice.
- 7:56And I was like, oh, my God.
- 7:58It made me think of like how nice a first kiss can be.
- 8:01Yeah.
- 8:01and then i thought oh but sometimes you don't have kiss chemistry with someone and you really
- 8:06like them but you don't have kiss chemistry what if you know how there's no way to make sure you
- 8:13have kiss chemistry before a first date i do know that you know how that's horrifying because what
- 8:18if you don't i do know that you know how we all want our next kiss to be our last first kiss
- 8:25I don't know that
- 8:27but yes
- 8:29okay
- 8:29we want our next kiss to be our last first kiss
- 8:33yeah
- 8:33because you want to fall in love and stay with someone forever
- 8:36you had me at last and then you lost me at first
- 8:39I just wanted my next kiss to be my last kiss
- 8:42well we can make that happen
- 8:43what follows is
- 8:49an incredible
- 8:50singular
- 8:52proprietary wonder
- 8:55A tour de force for love.
- 8:58You ready?
- 8:59Yeah.
- 9:01Here we go.
- 9:02My invention, which you're going to love, is a product.
- 9:11I love it already.
- 9:14Keep going.
- 9:15And the product is a kiss.
- 9:20Let me explain.
- 9:22Okay.
- 9:22You buy it in the store or you order it online, depending on what you want, or you get it as a gift.
- 9:29Those are basically the three ways where you find it.
- 9:31Okay.
- 9:32You're just describing how people get things.
- 9:34That is how products work.
- 9:35You're just letting them know how you can get it.
- 9:37Okay.
- 9:37If you find it, you use it if it's unopened.
- 9:41Anyway, here's what it is.
- 9:42If it's damaged, you return it and you get a new one.
- 9:48And if you're unsatisfied with it, you follow our return policy.
- 9:52If you want to get one for a friend, you can get them and they can get a gift receipt.
- 9:58Yeah.
- 9:58Okay.
- 10:00Here's what it does.
- 10:01Okay.
- 10:02You get it in the mail.
- 10:04I'm sorry.
- 10:11What does it look like?
- 10:14Okay, here we go.
- 10:15Here we go.
- 10:15I need to tell you what it does.
- 10:17Okay.
- 10:17The whole reason you want it.
- 10:18Okay.
- 10:19You have a date coming up on Friday night.
- 10:22with Sean.
- 10:25And you really want it to work out.
- 10:27So here's what you do. It's Monday.
- 10:29You have the product.
- 10:31You kiss
- 10:33the product.
- 10:36Okay.
- 10:37It is a robotic
- 10:39mouth that
- 10:41is a blank slate. You know those
- 10:43things where you put your face in them and then it holds
- 10:45your face? It records
- 10:47a 30 second
- 10:49kiss. Okay?
- 10:51Okay.
- 10:52Yes, Joe?
- 10:54See, you had an idea?
- 10:55No, okay.
- 10:55So it records your kiss, and then you pop it in the mail to your date.
- 11:02And then your date gets it, and then they see how you kiss.
- 11:09And they do one, too.
- 11:10So you kind of get, like, a little taste.
- 11:13Okay.
- 11:13Okay.
- 11:18I can see one problem with this.
- 11:22part of kiss chemistry is the other person kissing back.
- 11:27Yeah.
- 11:28If you just kiss a blank slate,
- 11:29it's like you could seem like a bad kisser
- 11:32because you don't have that other person to play off of.
- 11:38Yeah.
- 11:39Joe agrees.
- 11:40Oh, that makes me think of the pivot I'm doing, which is...
- 11:45Oh, God, I'm glad we got to the pivot.
- 11:46Well, no, I was just thinking it records both sides.
- 11:52stop just stop i know you have heavy criticisms coming my way let me just tell you
- 11:58okay i just figured it out and thank you for your feedback it's very valuable
- 12:01it is a remote kissing device and you've each got one and you kiss yours and they kiss theirs
- 12:13and it does to each other what's happening but francis i hate to be the one to tell you this
- 12:18but you've already invented this before.
- 12:20Is this the sex robot?
- 12:22Yeah.
- 12:22No, this is just a mouth.
- 12:24Okay, so you're saying this is a smaller version of it,
- 12:27but let's look at this from the...
- 12:29It's a training tool.
- 12:31Let's look at this from the angle that Francis is trying to sell it,
- 12:36which is first kiss chemistry.
- 12:40So if the person is on the other end,
- 12:47you like doing it and it's replicating what they're doing and you're doing
- 12:51why would you do that and not just kiss the person
- 12:54I want to go back to the mailing kit
- 12:58okay what well it's practice and then real life is
- 13:04it's different because you're it's a it's and then in person it's
- 13:08I know why would you want the robot also then you still have to
- 13:12have the awkward conversation of like oh well like because if you're not
- 13:16into it then you still have to be like oh actually i'm not into it anymore why not just invent the
- 13:21new custom that you kiss somebody before the date if your whole thing is that you want to avoid
- 13:26going on a date with someone that you're not going to have chemistry with yeah just like a lemon law
- 13:32situation yeah where you just kiss them and then if you don't have chemistry it's like well sorry
- 13:37no date but then again also part of the chemistry comes from how the date goes yeah
- 13:43so
- 13:47um i see your point okay i think people love
- 13:54mailing things
- 13:56so you just wanted to invent something that has to be put into the mail people like receiving
- 14:07things in the mail too.
- 14:09Yes, that's true.
- 14:11So if you received a set of lips
- 14:13in the mail,
- 14:14just be excited. There's probably going to be a cultural
- 14:17thing. You know, like teenagers will do weird trends.
- 14:19There's probably going to be something where they like
- 14:20try to find these in the mail and ruin it
- 14:23by like kissing it first.
- 14:26Well, no, I feel like there would be
- 14:28like a market of people who are
- 14:31really good kissers that would like offer to
- 14:33like for a fee.
- 14:35they'll do it for you and then send it like a real Cyrano de Bergerac situation yes exactly
- 14:42yeah well maybe what's needed is kissing lessons yeah that could be um
- 14:52I I feel like granted it's been a long time
- 14:59since my last first kiss since your last kiss um but i feel like part of the excitement of it is
- 15:10i don't know what's gonna happen i don't know if it's gonna be electric or
- 15:18blah or what yeah i agree with that but that's not a very long-lasting feeling
- 15:24but it's a fun feeling
- 15:26like the lead up I think is
- 15:29to a first kiss is
- 15:31intoxicating
- 15:33what if we use this as a way to match people
- 15:35hey you know who you'd really like to kiss
- 15:38cause then you can go into a store
- 15:39and be like these are local singles in your area
- 15:41kiss all these
- 15:43so it's just a wall of mouths
- 15:46yeah
- 15:47do they have like a jar of coffee beans
- 15:50for like you can reset your palate
- 15:52between each one.
- 15:53Someone's just brushing the mouth of the...
- 15:56Hold on, I'm putting a glycerin on it.
- 15:59That could be fun.
- 16:01Yeah.
- 16:02Well, then it's like a real...
- 16:04That's like a real blind date.
- 16:06You know you have chemistry with this person physically.
- 16:09You don't know anything about them,
- 16:10and so you just pick the person who you liked kissing the most.
- 16:13Yeah.
- 16:14Ooh, that's interesting.
- 16:17Yeah, that's interesting.
- 16:18Hey, I recognize you.
- 16:20Didn't I kiss your mouth?
- 16:22On the wall, the shop downtown.
- 16:26Would the mouth be shaped like the person's mouth?
- 16:29I think that makes the most sense.
- 16:30Yeah.
- 16:31Well, then that might throw people off.
- 16:33What if you're like, I don't like the way those lips look or something.
- 16:40You go in.
- 16:40Get a load of those lips.
- 16:41Well, the room is dim.
- 16:45Okay.
- 16:46They're behind curtains.
- 16:48They blindfold you.
- 16:50And then you start kissing a wall full of mouths It very very dim While a man plays the organ in the background I liked number seven and number 25
- 17:02Please step out.
- 17:06Yeah, that could be fun.
- 17:08I mean, this is a fun idea.
- 17:13And just, again, I'd like to see people doing this.
- 17:17I'd like to go to that store and see what that looks like.
- 17:20Then would you consider that, let's say you're in a relationship and you go to one of these stores and you try out the kiss mouths?
- 17:27That's not cheating.
- 17:28That's what I was going to ask.
- 17:29Is that cheating?
- 17:30No, it's not cheating.
- 17:33It's not getting a massage.
- 17:34Is that cheating?
- 17:36Oh, my God.
- 17:37What if there's like a pina colada song situation where they like two people that are unhappy with each other both put their mouths on the wall?
- 17:44And it's like you recognize the...
- 17:45No, they don't recognize.
- 17:47And then they're like, they're looking to kiss some new lips, you know?
- 17:49and then they find someone they really like
- 17:51and they're like oh I'm going to meet up with this person and then it's each other
- 17:54you just gave me a brilliant idea
- 17:56you know how there's
- 17:59I'm going to say eclipse rooms what am I thinking
- 18:01oh you said what
- 18:03escape rooms
- 18:04and like puzzle nights
- 18:06what if you and your significant other
- 18:09go do your kiss
- 18:11and then they have to see if they can
- 18:13find
- 18:14the matching
- 18:16yeah
- 18:17so it's like you can't escape until you find your partner's kiss
- 18:24okay that'd be a fun game and a bunch of couples could play at the same time and then like
- 18:33winning couples the one who does it the fastest but okay if all these that's always the winning
- 18:38couple what if you're you're like yeah you're like you got your like couple friends with you
- 18:43And you're like, oh, let's all go do this thing.
- 18:46And then like, so it's like, it's got everybody else, like all of your friends.
- 18:49So it's like you're kissing all of your friends.
- 18:51Yeah.
- 18:51What if you kiss one of them and you're like, holy shit, that was amazing.
- 18:54Yeah.
- 18:55I see this.
- 18:56You'll never know who it was.
- 18:57It's anonymous.
- 18:59Anonymous.
- 19:00Anonymous.
- 19:01Well, not if you're doing it escape room style.
- 19:04You only know when you're right.
- 19:07Like when you kiss someone, the person doesn't yell out, that was Craig.
- 19:12No, I understand.
- 19:13But wouldn't all the kisses have to be the people that are doing it?
- 19:18And others.
- 19:19Oh, okay.
- 19:19It's a big wall of kisses.
- 19:20Okay.
- 19:20Yeah.
- 19:21All right.
- 19:21So there's enough sprinkled in there that you would have no idea if it was one of your friends.
- 19:24They saved them.
- 19:25Yeah.
- 19:26When you sign in, it's like, we're keeping this.
- 19:28We're keeping this kiss.
- 19:29We're using this for other couples.
- 19:31Keeping your kiss.
- 19:32Yeah.
- 19:33You signed a waiver.
- 19:35Your kiss belongs to us.
- 19:37Every kiss belongs to us.
- 19:40Hope you won't miss your kiss.
- 19:43Uh, this is back to our straight audience.
- 19:48Uh, well, okay.
- 19:53What do you want to name this bad boy?
- 19:55Okay.
- 19:55Here's my idea.
- 20:00France now.
- 20:03France now.
- 20:04Yeah.
- 20:04Like French kissing.
- 20:05Yeah.
- 20:06Oh yeah.
- 20:07Is there tongue involved or is this just, yeah.
- 20:09Okay.
- 20:10I mean, it depends on the person.
- 20:11Yeah, that's true.
- 20:12France now.
- 20:15France now.
- 20:16France now.
- 20:18France.
- 20:20Now.
- 20:21France is.
- 20:24France kiss.
- 20:26I like that better.
- 20:28Even though we're getting farther from
- 20:30why I said France now.
- 20:33France kiss is cute.
- 20:35It's an homage to the inventor.
- 20:37Yeah.
- 20:40I love that.
- 20:42Write it down.
- 20:44Okay.
- 20:44Is that your new nickname?
- 20:45France Kiss?
- 20:46Yeah.
- 20:47And everyone needs to know I'm an excellent kisser.
- 20:51I'm sure you are.
- 20:52Thanks.
- 20:53It means a lot.
- 20:54As you know, it's something I enjoy.
- 20:56Yes.
- 20:57I do know that you do it.
- 21:03Cool.
- 21:04Okay, Joe, do you have any alternate?
- 21:05You're the naming guru.
- 21:06uh i thought of i had one other one i just left me but the main one i thought of was hit or kiss
- 21:16hit or kiss like hit or miss oh i like that hit or miss but also like kind of like smash or pass
- 21:24too it's like it's like a do do i want to go out with this person again or not wow
- 21:30it also sounds like hit her
- 21:33yeah
- 21:35hit her kiss hit her right in the kisser
- 21:37yeah let's go with that one
- 21:39give her a love tap right in the kisser
- 21:42woman's manor
- 21:43it's a new addition to the
- 21:45library
- 21:46oh mystery mouth
- 21:49that was the other one I thought of
- 21:51mystery mouth
- 21:52mystery mouth
- 21:53hmm
- 21:54well
- 21:59I think I would definitely like to see a store that has all of these kisses
- 22:05like on the wall and then I,
- 22:08and people just go in and they're making out with,
- 22:10with the wall.
- 22:11Or like when you start going to restaurants and like,
- 22:15instead of like having autographed pictures of famous people that have been to
- 22:18that restaurant,
- 22:19it's autographed mouths from that famous person on the restaurant wall.
- 22:23Do you guys like this?
- 22:25It's a little bit out there.
- 22:27Soup smoocho.
- 22:29Soup smooch-o?
- 22:31Yeah.
- 22:32It sounds like a soup restaurant.
- 22:35Soup smooch-o, like...
- 22:36Oh, like soups...
- 22:38Smooch.
- 22:39Smooch.
- 22:40Yeah, like super smooch.
- 22:44That's a super smooch.
- 22:47Why not?
- 22:49Soup smooch-o just had a little ring to it.
- 22:55Super smooch.
- 22:57well
- 22:57I look forward to this escape room
- 23:00I look forward to
- 23:02um
- 23:03celebrity kiss
- 23:04people would steal those
- 23:07what was it super what
- 23:10smooch
- 23:12super smooch
- 23:13you and moi
- 23:18because moi is another word for kiss isn't it
- 23:22isn't it moi me
- 23:24what's moi me
- 23:26well yeah that's why it's you and moi so maybe instead of it's moi it's moi it's moi
- 23:34and say it's moi write it down
- 23:41oh there it is it's definitely on the paper and out of my brain
- 23:51okay i have wrote it down all right thanks that was fun and i know that we liked it in the end
- 23:56yeah uh well
- 23:58I'm sure by the time this episode
- 24:01comes out there will be a franchise
- 24:03of these
- 24:03mystery mouth places
- 24:07all around
- 24:08so go you know listeners
- 24:10get on out there
- 24:12find your match it'll be so
- 24:14popular that franchises
- 24:17as a word will be renamed
- 24:18Fran kisses
- 24:19yeah we should probably
- 24:22buy that now so that we could
- 24:24let him get away with it anyway because we're nice
- 24:28I own this but go ahead
- 24:31alright
- 24:32well yes by the time
- 24:36you listen to this
- 24:38that will be already a registered trademark
- 24:40by us so
- 24:42don't use it without our permission
- 24:43but we're pretty nice about it so
- 24:45yeah
- 24:46alright well that wraps up the invention
- 24:50of the week
- 24:50speaking of love
- 24:54i think i brings this to our next segment oh prison pen pals
- 25:02i'm writing my pen pal in prison
- 25:08sounds nice hmm well would you like to explain this for instance yeah prison pen pals is a
- 25:18beautiful segment wherein one of us is a prisoner and one of us is a citizen who is not a prisoner
- 25:28and through the magic of dating catalogs um the prisoner and the non-prisoner find each other and
- 25:38it's it's a series of dictated letters that go back and forth who understand how they met and
- 25:44what their relationship is like and where it may go.
- 25:47Which we've already established people like sending mail and receiving mail.
- 25:51They do.
- 25:52So.
- 25:53Usually not mail that has to go through a bomb detector, but still.
- 25:57I think that's kind of exciting.
- 25:59I don't know if any of my mail has gone through bomb detector.
- 26:01Oh.
- 26:02It has.
- 26:03I don't know, maybe.
- 26:04Sometimes I think people just, because I know people that work and I'm like, if some of
- 26:09these people have jobs, I guarantee you they're just like, next.
- 26:13Yeah.
- 26:14You're saying some of my mail should have gone through and didn't because someone was lazy on the job?
- 26:19Yeah.
- 26:20Hmm.
- 26:20I wonder what scenario it would have gone through in.
- 26:22Probably the tennis ball.
- 26:24Oh, yeah, the tennis ball.
- 26:26Listeners, if you are confused, you need to be a better fan.
- 26:30Yeah.
- 26:31Listen to some back episodes.
- 26:33You'll hear the tennis ball story.
- 26:34Come back, you'll get it.
- 26:35Anyway, so are you feeling more of a connection with the prisoner or the non-prisoner?
- 26:40I'll be the prisoner.
- 26:40You will?
- 26:41Mm-hmm.
- 26:42Okay, great.
- 26:43I guess I'll be the other one.
- 26:46Okay, shall we begin?
- 26:48We shall.
- 26:50June 1st.
- 26:52This year.
- 26:57Dear Roger,
- 26:59All I can tell you is that since you replied to my inquiry from the catalog,
- 27:04my heart has been a flutter.
- 27:05All I do is sit in my room and scream,
- 27:07Yes, Roger loves me.
- 27:08Yes.
- 27:09Enclosed is the $1,400 you asked for.
- 27:15I hope you'll tell me how you're going to use it.
- 27:17Roger, I look forward to being your wife one day.
- 27:20Sincerely, Cindy.
- 27:25What up, Cindy girl?
- 27:29The date is June 4th, this year.
- 27:34Thanks so much for the money.
- 27:36I can't tell you what I'm going to use it for
- 27:40but needless to say I got some big plans
- 27:44for when I get out of here
- 27:45and you're a big part of them plans Cindy
- 27:49my dog is also part of them plans
- 27:55he's real cool you'll meet him
- 27:58his name is Bruiser
- 28:00anyway if you could possibly also
- 28:05sand
- 28:06some
- 28:10beef jerky.
- 28:13I like beef jerky.
- 28:16And, um,
- 28:17maybe one of those
- 28:18tiny little hammers
- 28:19like they have in the Shawshank Redemption.
- 28:23Don't ask me why.
- 28:25Can't tell you.
- 28:27Sherwood would appreciate it, though.
- 28:32You're
- 28:33prisoner
- 28:33for now.
- 28:35guy for life.
- 28:40Roger.
- 28:42June 5th this year.
- 28:43Roger, dot, dot, dot.
- 28:45Is everything okay?
- 28:46I noticed when you signed off your letter,
- 28:47you didn't say love.
- 28:49Love, comma, love, comma, Roger.
- 28:51I hope you're all right.
- 28:53Anyway, I ran right to the store
- 28:55in search of beef jerky.
- 28:57I got turkey jerky, beef jerky, teriyaki,
- 29:01pineapple, regular, animal flavored.
- 29:04Roger
- 29:06Jerky
- 29:07If that's the way to your heart
- 29:09I'll jerk all around town
- 29:11I also found a multitude of hammers
- 29:15Picture hammer
- 29:17Guide hammer
- 29:18Framing hammer
- 29:19That was really it
- 29:22I've enclosed them all
- 29:25With a note
- 29:25To the people that go through your mail
- 29:28To let them know that the hammers are
- 29:30Going to a sweet man named Roger
- 29:32and to please not hold them back because they're for crafts.
- 29:38Roger, I looked up your information and I found where you used to live
- 29:42and I'm not ashamed to say I took your dog.
- 29:45Bruiser now lives with me.
- 29:46He's a great dog. He's a swell dog.
- 29:49Roger, I'm a little confused about something.
- 29:51Your files have been redacted.
- 29:53My friends have been asking a lot of questions
- 29:54and they're concerned that they don't know why you're in prison.
- 29:58I told them you don't need to know.
- 29:59I don't even need to know. I love him.
- 30:01But I am curious if you could share.
- 30:04Anyway, just so we're totally clear, I love you, Roger.
- 30:08Capital L-O-V-E, love.
- 30:11Sincerely end with love, and one day your wife, Cindy P.S., my ring size is six.
- 30:18Dear Cindy,
- 30:21I hate to have to write the phrase dumb bitch, because it doesn't...
- 30:26Letters don't properly convey tone.
- 30:29but I'm afraid you're being a dumb bitch.
- 30:33Everybody knows
- 30:34when you say beef jerky,
- 30:37you mean Slim Jim.
- 30:39You sent me a whole bunch of shit
- 30:40that's not Slim Jims.
- 30:43And I'm pretty sure I also asked you
- 30:45specifically for a little hammer
- 30:49that they have in the Shawshank Redemption.
- 30:53I didn't need
- 30:54a whole bunch of hammers.
- 30:59you dumb bitch.
- 31:02Again, I'm real sorry.
- 31:07Conveying tone in a letter is hard.
- 31:11One thing you should know about Bruiser
- 31:13now that he's with you,
- 31:15he does like to hump stuff.
- 31:20Be prepared for that.
- 31:23Also,
- 31:24he has night terrors
- 31:27where he goes out
- 31:29and
- 31:31he thinks
- 31:33he's dreaming
- 31:34but it's actually like a waking nightmare situation.
- 31:39He hunts things.
- 31:41So
- 31:41be prepared to be hunted
- 31:43and humped.
- 31:46As for my crimes
- 31:48don't you worry your little dumb bitch head
- 31:54about it.
- 31:56Again I mean that.
- 31:57in an affectionate way.
- 31:59You can't really convey tone in a letter.
- 32:03But
- 32:03I wouldn't worry too much about it.
- 32:08I just, if possible, avoid newsstands.
- 32:11Don't read anything about me that you might see
- 32:14in any paper
- 32:16or nothing.
- 32:19And definitely,
- 32:20definitely don't Google
- 32:24water park bandit.
- 32:28Don't do that.
- 32:30And if you do, just remember
- 32:31I'm a good guy at heart.
- 32:36Conda.
- 32:38Sincerely,
- 32:40Roger.
- 32:42Roger.
- 32:43I'm a dumb bitch.
- 32:46I should have known to buy you Slim Jims.
- 32:48They were right there.
- 32:49Why didn't I get them?
- 32:50I think I just wanted to impress you so bad
- 32:51with all the different kinds of beef I could find.
- 32:54I hope you still eat them or at least give them to your friends in prison.
- 33:00I've been humped many times by your dog, Bruiser.
- 33:03I like to think it's you.
- 33:06So I let it go on a little too long.
- 33:08But eventually I do stop it.
- 33:11Roger.
- 33:13I've never been in a relationship like this before, so sometimes I just don't know how to act.
- 33:18You're right about the hammers, too.
- 33:19Who's I trying to impress?
- 33:21Dumbit alert.
- 33:24So I took some time and I looked up where that movie was made and I drove there.
- 33:28I was right. They did have a gift shop full of Sharshan cameras.
- 33:33I bought them all.
- 33:36And then I thought, there she is again, trying to impress Roger.
- 33:41And I went back and I returned them all except one.
- 33:43You only need one.
- 33:45I got it with me and I going to mail it I have every intention of mailing it Except you see I couldn help but notice your sign said sincerely
- 34:00And mine said love.
- 34:03I actually said love in all capitals.
- 34:06And I can understand if you're not there yet, but also you should have assured me that it's okay that I said that, because you know I've been freaking out.
- 34:13I said love and you said nothing
- 34:16Roger
- 34:17The fuck
- 34:18Just think about it
- 34:21Let me know
- 34:22This is a nice hammer and I wouldn't mind keeping it
- 34:24Also I did google
- 34:28Water killer bandit or whatever you said
- 34:30And um
- 34:32Pretty heinous stuff
- 34:34Okay it would take a real cool and understanding
- 34:37Chick to still love someone like that
- 34:38Some heinous beast
- 34:41Who did heinous beast crimes
- 34:42But I'm willing to do it for love.
- 34:48Okay?
- 34:49Love you.
- 34:50Sincerely.
- 34:51With love.
- 34:52Dumb bitch.
- 34:57Cindy.
- 34:59Dash.
- 35:01Send nudes.
- 35:05Dash.
- 35:06Roger.
- 35:11Roger.
- 35:12See nudes.
- 35:18Send.
- 35:21Roger.
- 35:22I am so embarrassed.
- 35:24I can't believe I sent nudes.
- 35:25I've never done that before.
- 35:27Ever.
- 35:28Please don't share them with the rest of the guys.
- 35:30Please don't put them up in your cell.
- 35:32Please don't look at them in the dark.
- 35:37Also, what about all the other stuff I said?
- 35:42Roger, I've noticed that you're not responding.
- 35:58I'm getting upset.
- 36:01And frankly, I'm horny.
- 36:06I'm horny for love and other stuff.
- 36:08And I chose you.
- 36:11and I've sent you over
- 36:13$2,000 in cash
- 36:14many meats and cheeses
- 36:17encouraging words
- 36:18and I've been thinking about you
- 36:19and I've lost all my friends
- 36:21because of what you did
- 36:22the sick things you did
- 36:24and now you go cold on me?
- 36:27Don't piss me off.
- 36:32Dear Rashida
- 36:34What's up girl?
- 36:36I love that you wrote me.
- 36:38You sound like you're not a dumb bitch.
- 36:41I really look forward to getting to know you, to getting some nudes.
- 36:48Love, Roger.
- 36:52Clink, clink, clink, clink.
- 36:57Dear Roger, I wonder, have you noticed late at night lying in your cell
- 37:01that sometimes you hear a weird clinking sound?
- 37:03Gee, I wonder what that could be.
- 37:05Not someone with a vengeance holding a shot-sharing camera on the outside of the prison working on their way in.
- 37:10Gee, only time will tell.
- 37:13Anyway, who the fuck is Rashida?
- 37:18Dear Cindy, please disregard my last letter
- 37:21or regard it as a joke.
- 37:24Either way, don't worry about it.
- 37:27Something real cool happened.
- 37:29I got sent anonymously a poster of a pinup girl from the 50s
- 37:35and I was told to hang it up in my cell
- 37:37and don't look behind it.
- 37:39Ever.
- 37:40I don't look a gift horse in the mouth,
- 37:44so of course I hung it up.
- 37:48I don't know what you were driving at
- 37:50with that clink, clink, clink business
- 37:52and the Shawshank hammer,
- 37:55but I sure do wish you'd send me that thing.
- 38:00Sorry about the Rashida business,
- 38:04or ha-ha about the Rashida business,
- 38:08depending on which way you took it.
- 38:10Anyway, I sold your nudes.
- 38:17And traded them for some beef jerky.
- 38:21Some Slim Jams.
- 38:23So in a way, you did get me Slim Jams, and I do appreciate that.
- 38:29In the meantime, don't worry about me being barbaric.
- 38:35Or anything that you might have read on the internet.
- 38:40just maybe send new nudes and I'll try and keep these.
- 38:47And,
- 38:47uh,
- 38:48maybe a few hundred dollars wouldn't hurt either.
- 38:54Best Roger.
- 38:57Dear Roger,
- 38:57I hope he received all the money and extra nudes I sent.
- 39:02I feel disrespected by you.
- 39:07It's hard for me to vocalize that,
- 39:08but I'm strong when I said it.
- 39:10I'm writing it down again.
- 39:11I feel disrespected by you.
- 39:14I've enclosed two tablets.
- 39:16I'd like for you to take them tonight.
- 39:19Sincerely,
- 39:21Cindy.
- 39:28Cindy.
- 39:31Thank you for the drugs.
- 39:34I look forward to taking them tonight
- 39:36in my sale.
- 39:40I'm sure it's real good shit.
- 39:44And you know what?
- 39:48I'll finally look into that conjugal tent.
- 39:52Maybe set something up.
- 39:55Talk to the warden.
- 39:57I'll get back to you.
- 40:01After I take these drugs that you sent me.
- 40:06Love.
- 40:07Roger.
- 40:10Dear R
- 40:12Thanks for taking the drugs
- 40:15It made my plan really come together
- 40:16As you know or maybe not know
- 40:19I've been shawshanking through the other side of prison
- 40:21For many weeks now
- 40:22The drugs you took last night
- 40:24Put you in almost a comatose state
- 40:26I was able to slip in and quote
- 40:28Have my way with you
- 40:29You'll be happy
- 40:32Unhappy or ambivalent to note
- 40:34That I've taken child
- 40:35Your child
- 40:40Also, because you sold my nudes
- 40:44Which was a total invasion of my privacy and not cool
- 40:47I received a letter from the person who bought them
- 40:52He knew from the minute he saw me in the nude
- 40:55I was the one for him
- 40:57I'd begun a relationship with him
- 40:59I think it would be best if I just kept our baby
- 41:04And dated this other guy
- 41:05Who, by the way, takes meat of all denominations
- 41:09and who said he loved me right away
- 41:14and just moved on with my life.
- 41:18And just so you know,
- 41:19I knew who you were the whole time.
- 41:22I'm the mother of that water park.
- 41:28Wow.
- 41:31Think that wraps up prison pen pals.
- 41:33pretty good segment but nothing to write prison about
- 41:39what a harrowing journey that happens all the time in prison yeah i know well we just saw
- 41:48an example of it that i mean that was just one of many stories that could have been told today
- 41:54um little confession sometimes i see hot prisoners like on the internet and i'm like
- 42:02you know people write them letters for real like there's like yeah i'm like maybe i maybe i'll do
- 42:09that but i never have good don't sometimes they're very hot and it's like how soon until they're
- 42:18extradited out of prison you know uh i just saw this thing do you remember like a few years ago
- 42:22there was that hot mugshot guy he was luigi no oh no no i'll see if i can find a picture of him
- 42:31later but like he was a guy he had like like like like piercing blue eyes oh and then he became a
- 42:38model yeah he's like a model for real now and he has like owns a company like he got a modeling
- 42:43contract and and yeah i just like saw something about it was like oh yeah yeah i remember that
- 42:49that just from his mug shot he got a modeling contract well it's hard to look good in a
- 42:54and that.
- 42:58Yeah.
- 42:59In a mugshot?
- 43:00Yeah.
- 43:03Can't confirm he's, yeah.
- 43:04Yeah.
- 43:05But he's got, like, it's like,
- 43:06because he's got, like,
- 43:07a dark, like,
- 43:08darker complexion skin,
- 43:10but, like,
- 43:11blue eyes.
- 43:12Yeah.
- 43:13He's tall.
- 43:14Yeah.
- 43:14Yeah.
- 43:14Good bone structure.
- 43:15All things he can control.
- 43:17So glad it worked out for him.
- 43:18Yep.
- 43:19All things that he chose.
- 43:21Yeah.
- 43:22Let me see.
- 43:24Yeah.
- 43:25I mean, he's not for me, but he's very attractive.
- 43:29I just, I, that would just, I, what did you Google to?
- 43:34Prisoner who became a hot mugshot guy.
- 43:36Hot mugshot guy.
- 43:37So that's just for our listeners.
- 43:38So they, they could.
- 43:40Photo credit, hot mugshot guy.
- 43:42Yeah.
- 43:44Okay.
- 43:45Well, now that that's out of the way.
- 43:48Yeah.
- 43:48Maybe one of those hot, hot prisoners that you write a letter to could become a model.
- 43:53That was my point.
- 43:54Yeah.
- 43:54The problem is you think they're hot and then you look up what they did and it's a horrible crime.
- 43:59Yeah, it's got to be.
- 44:00It's like, this guy mowed down a family on accident because he was racing his friends.
- 44:05It's like, oh, I don't want to date that.
- 44:07Yeah.
- 44:07Did he win?
- 44:09Did he win the race?
- 44:10Not in a long run.
- 44:12Well, it's time for our final segment, The Big Question.
- 44:19The question is very big.
- 44:21now as per usual
- 44:25in the
- 44:29chronology of the big question
- 44:32I
- 44:35this is where I ask you
- 44:38Francis
- 44:40do you have a big question?
- 44:43because I don't
- 44:45that was something
- 44:47I bet Francis has a
- 44:50huge question.
- 44:53Yeah. That was a real herd of cattle,
- 44:55Jenna.
- 44:58I'm gonna write it down
- 44:59and then I'll figure out what to do with it later.
- 45:01I don't know what you're talking about.
- 45:02Of course you don't.
- 45:06Yes, I got a
- 45:06humongous
- 45:07big old question.
- 45:10Big old question for you.
- 45:13Big old question.
- 45:14Is question too big for you?
- 45:17I'll be a judge of that.
- 45:18Yeah, you gonna judge my big question?
- 45:20here it is my question is so i don't know if you know this about me but i'm actually
- 45:25kind of afraid of the open ocean i mean like a lot afraid um so i think about it a lot because
- 45:35i also really want to take a cruise um so those two things don't really like yeah mesh yeah um
- 45:46i would do it especially because it's like there's a lot of people so it's like oh if we're gonna die
- 45:49we're all going to die.
- 45:49That comforts me.
- 45:52Anyway, so my question to you is.
- 45:54Okay.
- 45:57You host a cruise ship company.
- 46:02Like, it's your company.
- 46:03Okay?
- 46:04You have a bunch of people like me
- 46:06who's terrified of the ocean.
- 46:10You have to tailor your cruise
- 46:12to people who are, like, terrified of the water.
- 46:16So you need to, like, tell me all the features
- 46:17that you would have
- 46:18and what you would do to make people who are afraid of water forget and enjoy the cruise.
- 46:23Like, what would the cruise be about?
- 46:26Wait, the cruise is themed towards getting people to not be afraid of water?
- 46:32Yes.
- 46:32Not just like what preventative measures am I taking?
- 46:35Not just like, oh, we have life to, nothing like that.
- 46:37Just like, what activities are you going to do?
- 46:40How are you going to make scared people not scared of the cruise?
- 46:48But like not in like a therapeutic way, like immersion therapy or whatever.
- 46:52Like this is your baby.
- 46:54You can do whatever you want with your baby.
- 46:56Okay.
- 46:58Listeners, don't do whatever you want with your baby.
- 47:00Be responsible with your babies, please.
- 47:05Okay.
- 47:07That's the lady who shook my baby.
- 47:11Oh, that's a real deep cup.
- 47:13I think that's episode one, right?
- 47:15Right to the bone.
- 47:16Yeah.
- 47:16Yeah.
- 47:17Okay.
- 47:18first uh i would uh have a design your own life preserver crafting class love it
- 47:32love it yeah so that's great everyone can be dazzle and be jangle whatever they want
- 47:39the jangle yeah that's a what's be jangling it's a fun is that your word
- 47:44fuck no that better not be your word
- 47:47I'll be pissed
- 47:48is that a word? I'm upset
- 47:50calm down calm down
- 47:52you'll find out later
- 47:53Joe you didn't give her that did you?
- 47:56okay it's not the time for that now
- 47:59I'm gonna be so mad
- 48:03no
- 48:05okay it's not the time for it
- 48:08did I isn't it?
- 48:11shut up now
- 48:12oh I'm upset
- 48:14I'm trying.
- 48:15I'm upset.
- 48:15Calm down.
- 48:16Okay.
- 48:20So basically people could do whatever they want to make their life preservers their own.
- 48:26So then it becomes not like a scary thing that only you need in an emergency.
- 48:32It becomes a fun accessory.
- 48:34And then we could even have life preserver fashion shows.
- 48:39So like people like strut the runway and their little, and then whoever wins, like that will have a little vote and whoever wins the vote gets a fun little prize.
- 48:51So that would be one activity.
- 48:53And then it's like, it's almost like you're hoping that you get into an accident, you know?
- 48:56Because yeah, you kind of want to show off your hard work.
- 48:59Right.
- 48:59I would also make all of the beds shaped like, you know how there's like little kids have race car beds?
- 49:17I used to have one.
- 49:19Oh, I think they're fun.
- 49:20I hope that people still do that for their children.
- 49:24Instead of race car beds, they would be like boat beds.
- 49:29So it would make people feel like the Titanic and you could click the remote and the back
- 49:37could like come up like the ship was breaking.
- 49:40Oh, wait.
- 49:41So, oh, so it's like a hospital bed, but it's like breaking in half.
- 49:45Yeah.
- 49:45So like when you're flat, it's a Titanic.
- 49:46And then when you raise it up to sit, we hit an iceberg.
- 49:49Yeah.
- 49:50Yeah.
- 49:50Yeah.
- 49:50That's a fun, fun way to do that.
- 49:52So it adds a little whimsy.
- 49:55And, you know, like people feel safe when they're sleeping.
- 49:58so um it's like hey you're safe in a boat if you're ever thirsty and you need water then someone
- 50:03just comes and dunks your head in a bucket of water for five minutes to make you feel like
- 50:06you're drowning and it's the temperature of the atlantic yep very cold very cold the atlantic
- 50:13yeah famously cold yeah yeah go on you're doing great thank you um i would have uh a special
- 50:27buffet that was all is completely like fish related or like completely like things like
- 50:39in the ocean but it would all be like delicious like really really well prepared so that it like takes away like the scariness of like what in the ocean It like this is in the ocean delicious shrimp and a nice white fish
- 50:55What's in the ocean?
- 50:57This is in the ocean.
- 50:59Yeah, so it takes away the scary factor of that.
- 51:06Great, love a buffet.
- 51:08I would have a, there would be a standup comedian and like every cruise standup comedian,
- 51:19they would not be a good standup, but here would be my little twist on that.
- 51:26They would be in a dunk tank.
- 51:29So they'd be doing their set from a dunk tank.
- 51:31And anytime they made a really bad joke, the audience would get to throw something at him,
- 51:37like throw like tomato balls whatever like they'd be balls but they look like tomatoes
- 51:42uh and if then be able to dunk him so he'd get submerged in water it's like a fun way to be like
- 51:50oh that was a bad joke you're a bad comedian boom then he's in water you're still safe outside the
- 51:54dunk tank um so it's also taking away it's giving humor to being in water too like i was really
- 52:02hoping it was just going to be instead of a dunk tank just like a shoot that goes through the bottom
- 52:06Into the ocean?
- 52:07Into the ocean.
- 52:08Be funny or die.
- 52:11I don't know if I could do that to my worst enemy.
- 52:14Yeah.
- 52:15I want to make people have positive associations with the water
- 52:20so that they don't feel like they're going to die.
- 52:26I love the first thing you came up with.
- 52:28I like the idea of that kind of activity.
- 52:32Yeah.
- 52:33What other things do they do on cruises?
- 52:36They split people up on sides.
- 52:39What does that mean?
- 52:40Well, there's two sides to a boat.
- 52:42And a band of bands on the back.
- 52:45And to every story.
- 52:48Yeah, but I mean, they split people up to sides, but what does that mean?
- 52:52Well, you split people up based on personality.
- 52:54So this is the stuff that we're doing on port side.
- 52:58Is that what you said?
- 52:59Port?
- 52:59Port and starboard.
- 53:00And on starboard side, this is the stuff we do.
- 53:02Yeah, it's like having two stages at a festival.
- 53:06Yeah, so say you're there with someone that you're there with, like a spouse or a friend or any other relationship.
- 53:15Anyway, but you're not the same.
- 53:18So it's like, hey, I'm going to be over here picking up starfish in this little tank.
- 53:23And you're going to be on the other side painting starfish.
- 53:30But they do actually separate them to a different sense?
- 53:33So it's just going.
- 53:35going. It's just like
- 53:36an itinerary, basically.
- 53:39This stuff is happening on this side.
- 53:41Like at a
- 53:43concert where it's like, oh, this band is playing on this
- 53:45stage at 11 a.m., but this other band
- 53:47is playing on the other stage at 11 a.m.
- 53:48I can't see them both. You made it sound like this was
- 53:51some kind of special cruise ship thing
- 53:53that they do. Oh, no, no. I was just giving ideas.
- 53:55I was like, what else do they do on a cruise ship? And you're like,
- 53:57they split people up into sides.
- 53:59I was like, what?
- 54:00Well, all I know basically is
- 54:02there's food,
- 54:04entertainment
- 54:05portholes
- 54:06you can look through
- 54:08you can stay up all night
- 54:09you can get up at 2 in the morning
- 54:10and if you're hungry
- 54:11the kitchen's open
- 54:12that is cool to me
- 54:13I
- 54:16would have
- 54:23an ice limbo
- 54:27yeah so as
- 54:30you're limboing
- 54:33and you know it's getting hot and sweaty in there then it starts to drip
- 54:37it's dripping on you as it's so people are you're gonna get wet do you want to get wet
- 54:42well it's again it's a way to like softly introduce you softly introduce uh um
- 54:49water into these people's lives people that are afraid of this water
- 54:54just like see nothing to be scared of we're having a fun time yeah and maybe they could find a maybe
- 55:00I think they could find a nice shark
- 55:01and it could be
- 55:03in the ship.
- 55:06Like in a little thing.
- 55:07And you could be around it.
- 55:10A nice shark?
- 55:12Yeah.
- 55:13Yeah.
- 55:14Like
- 55:15was it Left Shark
- 55:19from Katy Perry at the Super Bowl?
- 55:22Yeah.
- 55:22We could probably get him.
- 55:24That would be great.
- 55:26That was 12 years ago.
- 55:28Isn't that insane?
- 55:29yes it is insane
- 55:31it's like it was this morning
- 55:34in my memory
- 55:35I'm still waiting for it to happen
- 55:37so funny well I think you're doing really
- 55:42great
- 55:42I
- 55:44I think
- 55:48there would
- 55:50I would have a
- 55:54I would have a room
- 55:55or like a section of it
- 55:57for the people that are really, really ready to face their fears
- 56:01where it's like lucite bottom.
- 56:05Oh.
- 56:06So you can like walk through and kind of see what's going on.
- 56:11And also I think that would demystify some things.
- 56:16Like, hey, see, it's not as scary as you think.
- 56:20You have a goal, something you work up to.
- 56:22And part of the working up to it too,
- 56:25there would be a uh like a rage cage type room that would have the very same lucite in it that
- 56:35you could hit and so then people could go to the rage room and hit other things but they could hit
- 56:41the lucite and then see how strong that lucite is that it's like don't worry this is not going to
- 56:45break look you just tried to break it yourself and you failed i gave you a big old hammer not
- 56:54one of those tiny Shawshank hammers.
- 56:57And so, yeah.
- 56:59I was thinking too, since you mentioned that,
- 57:02that could go deep, like under the ship.
- 57:04It could extend down deeply
- 57:06and there could be like stairs.
- 57:08So you could go in the, like in the ocean,
- 57:11you know, down below while it's ships moving.
- 57:14You could be sitting like underwater
- 57:16and watching everything go by.
- 57:17Yeah, that would be cool.
- 57:19Yeah, we should email them.
- 57:22dear cruises do this remember when i gave you that trip to knott'sbury farm
- 57:28um yeah that's a good idea i would like that you know what's another idea i had about it
- 57:37everyone goes on their first day on the cruise and we stay in the bay
- 57:41or there's land yep yes yeah we're fine that's so funny i actually did think of that and i
- 57:48forgot to say it.
- 57:50Legit, I know that sounds like I'm lying.
- 57:52No, no, but yeah, you'd have a day
- 57:54where it's like, no, no, we're just at...
- 57:56Yeah, baby steps. We're just out.
- 57:58We're just sitting
- 58:00in the bay. We're gonna be
- 58:02here for a day and a half.
- 58:04And then we're gonna move
- 58:05half a mile offshore.
- 58:08No, I was thinking while they were sleeping, we move.
- 58:10No, because then you'd wake up to a bunch
- 58:12of screaming people. Yeah.
- 58:15No, they need to be aware.
- 58:16Which is fine if that's what you're expecting.
- 58:17Yeah, that's a different kind of cruise.
- 58:21No, because my general manager, when people started screaming, would start throwing people off.
- 58:28But it would be actors from our cruise line.
- 58:32So someone would start the screaming and be like, oh my God, they took us out in the middle of the air.
- 58:37And he would throw that person who was an actor into the ocean.
- 58:41And then everyone would shut up.
- 58:42and the general manager would be like see oh you know what i would do i would pick one
- 58:50i would do the same thing have like an actor whatever and or but i would say i would put
- 58:57them into like a tank and be like every time someone freaks out about water this person who
- 59:02is also freaked out about water we're gonna add a little bit of water to this tank that he's in
- 59:07and so you control whether or not this guy drowns so you're basically doing a milgram
- 59:13experiment on your cruise ship yeah that's right okay well it'd be like hey nope no freaking out
- 59:19because if you freak out this guy dies and he's just as scared as water so you're gonna be yeah
- 59:23why should you be why should you get to be scared without repercussions more than him right exactly
- 59:27so as long as hey as long as everyone keeps their cool everybody wins and there's coupons
- 59:33for activities.
- 59:35Yes. Take a deep breath.
- 59:37This guy might die.
- 59:38There are coupons.
- 59:40I like the idea of throwing one of them off.
- 59:43Yeah, that's good. Because then he could swim around
- 59:45and one of us could pull him up.
- 59:48But then
- 59:49if they see him again, does that
- 59:51ruin the legitimacy of the
- 59:53ruse?
- 59:55They won't see him again because he
- 59:57was wearing one of those silicone masks
- 59:59where he looked like a different person.
- 1:00:01Okay, good.
- 1:00:02Anyway, yeah, people will definitely come back to it.
- 1:00:04Because once they realize nothing bad happened, except one guy was thrown off.
- 1:00:08But that was his fault for Scream.
- 1:00:10That was his fault.
- 1:00:10But once they realized, as soon as they got control of their fears, everything was fine.
- 1:00:13They had a great time.
- 1:00:14They saw paintings.
- 1:00:15They pet animals.
- 1:00:16They were herded around every side of the ship.
- 1:00:20They had a great time.
- 1:00:21They climbed down into a Lucite.
- 1:00:26Wonderland.
- 1:00:27Yep.
- 1:00:27well uh i think yeah i think i've answered the big question sounds like all you did
- 1:00:34that was a real slim gem of an answer to that wraps up the big question the big question
- 1:00:41uh now the moment you've been waiting for francis is it bejangled
- 1:00:46is your fucking word bejangled my word is not oh thank god i've never heard the word
- 1:00:55bejangled before my... It's not a real word.
- 1:00:57It's not a word. I just, as soon as I said it, I'm like...
- 1:01:00Because I said it in a way that was like
- 1:01:01bejangled, I was like, no!
- 1:01:05Nope.
- 1:01:05She got me to say a weird one.
- 1:01:07Alright, do you want me to start making some guesses then? Yes.
- 1:01:10Alright.
- 1:01:13We're going to hold off
- 1:01:13on the C word, because I don't know what to do with that one.
- 1:01:18Could be nothing.
- 1:01:19Yeah, sure. It's something.
- 1:01:22Could it be custom?
- 1:01:24No.
- 1:01:25I wrote down mugshot.
- 1:01:27Nope.
- 1:01:31Is it lucite?
- 1:01:33No.
- 1:01:34Oh, you puffed up for me.
- 1:01:36Yeah.
- 1:01:37Maybe.
- 1:01:38Demystify.
- 1:01:40Nope.
- 1:01:45We've got one word left.
- 1:01:46And we both know what it is.
- 1:01:49We both know what it is.
- 1:01:51And I don't know what to do with it, Jenna.
- 1:01:53was it your decoy word because i know it's one of the two were you decoying me
- 1:01:59so what's what do i do decoy
- 1:02:04another another oh he's the best listener listener cut you're gonna have to listen to a different
- 1:02:12episode okay because here's what i'm struggling with right now if i just don't say anything i'm
- 1:02:17fine. I didn't say this.
- 1:02:19Okay.
- 1:02:21But I feel like you
- 1:02:23closed the gap last week and maybe I should
- 1:02:25be bold.
- 1:02:28Now you're describing how gambling works.
- 1:02:32You said it.
- 1:02:34Were you trying? What were you doing? What was your
- 1:02:37motivation, girl? Is your decoy word chronology?
- 1:02:41What's your official guess
- 1:02:43is my decoy word chronology.
- 1:02:45I just want to make sure.
- 1:02:47um it's your word isn't it i need to know what your official word you're guessing that is my word
- 1:02:57yeah it's my d call me no no no no i can't believe i talked to you you really led the witness on that
- 1:03:14I'm effing pissed.
- 1:03:15I gave him an, I said, what is your final answer?
- 1:03:19Why would you do that?
- 1:03:21Because you were going to guess my decoy word.
- 1:03:23You're a demon from hell.
- 1:03:26Fudge.
- 1:03:28Yay.
- 1:03:29God.
- 1:03:30No, no.
- 1:03:32Sorry, Francis.
- 1:03:34You don't look sorry.
- 1:03:35No, I'm not.
- 1:03:36I'm sorry.
- 1:03:36I mean, I'm not sorry, really.
- 1:03:38I'm happy.
- 1:03:38I thought you were slipping it.
- 1:03:41I thought you said it so awkwardly.
- 1:03:43I don't care anymore.
- 1:03:44at least it wasn't be jangled
- 1:03:47I guess
- 1:03:49that was a humiliating
- 1:03:52loss
- 1:03:52well alright well let me see if I can
- 1:03:55do any damage to you
- 1:03:58you mean more
- 1:03:59yeah do more damage
- 1:04:01I didn't I don't have very
- 1:04:05I don't feel confident about any of my guesses
- 1:04:07shit
- 1:04:09was it tour de force
- 1:04:11no
- 1:04:13no
- 1:04:13portholes
- 1:04:18or porthole
- 1:04:24I couldn't remember which one you said
- 1:04:26it's a funny word to just hear
- 1:04:28I have two guesses for your decoy
- 1:04:33alright let's hear them
- 1:04:35eclipse
- 1:04:36I thought that would have been really good
- 1:04:39when you were like eclipse room
- 1:04:42What's the word I'm thinking of?
- 1:04:44Oh, no, I was genuinely stupid.
- 1:04:48And then my other guess would be chemistry?
- 1:04:51No.
- 1:04:51Okay.
- 1:04:52All right, let's start with my decoy word.
- 1:04:56Extradited.
- 1:04:59We're going to extradite them from prison.
- 1:05:01Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:03Now let's get to the good stuff.
- 1:05:05My word was...
- 1:05:06Oh, God, it's...
- 1:05:07Did I say it a whole bunch of times, whatever it is?
- 1:05:10I honestly don't remember when you said
- 1:05:13I honestly don't remember when you said your word
