  SPEAKER_00: Introduction.
• 0:01
SPEAKER_00: Longevity clinics are health centers that promise to help you live healthier for longer.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_00: They offer advanced tests and personalized plans, sometimes costing tens of thousands of dollars a year.
• 0:12
SPEAKER_00: Because the cost and variety of treatments can be very high, it is important to compare clinics carefully before choosing one.
• 0:19
SPEAKER_00: In this guide, we explain how to evaluate longevity clinics.
• 0:23
SPEAKER_00: We cover how to check doctors' qualifications, demand scientific evidence, understand services offered, protect your personal data, and get clear prices.
• 0:32
SPEAKER_00: We also give step-by-step tips to collect quotes and a basket of services for comparison.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_00: We highlight red flags like misleading marketing, hidden upsells, and no refund policies.
• 0:44
SPEAKER_00: Finally, we provide simple worksheets to help you track offerings, costs, and follow-up obligations for each clinic.
• 0:50
SPEAKER_00: By following this guide, you can make an informed, smart choice and avoid scams.
• 0:56
SPEAKER_00: Check doctor and staff credentials.
• 0:58
SPEAKER_00: Always start by examining the credentials of the people who will treat you.
• 1:02
SPEAKER_00: A real medical doctor should have a valid license to practice in your state or country.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_00: You can usually verify a doctor's license online via your state medical board or a site like that.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_00: Also look for board certification.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_00: Board certified doctors have passed extra exams in a specialty and meet high standards.
• 1:18
SPEAKER_00: For example, the American Board of Medical Specialties says when you choose an ABMS board certified doctor, you can count on quality care.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_00: Many longevity clinics use buzzwords like lifespan optimization expert or sell hormone therapy with no name attached.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_00: Instead, ask, are you an MD, doctor of medicine, or DO, osteopathic doctor, and what is your board certification?
• 1:42
SPEAKER_00: If the clinic's key person is not a licensed MD DO, or their specialty is unclear, be cautious.
• 1:48
SPEAKER_00: Some doctors even take short popular courses in anti-aging medicine or longevity, but no short course can replace formal medical training.
• 1:56
  SPEAKER_00: Actionable step.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_00: Make a list of clinic staff.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: For each person ask or look up their medical license and board certifications.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_00: If possible, call your local medical board or use an online verifier.
• 2:08
SPEAKER_00: Clinics that list their doctors and proudly show credentials are more trustworthy.
• 2:13
  SPEAKER_00: Demand real scientific evidence.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_00: Next, evaluate whether a clinic's tests and treatments are backed by science or just hype.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_00: Many trendy health products are promoted with little evidence.
• 2:22
SPEAKER_00: A good rule is if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_00: Be especially wary of magic-sounding terms like secret formula, scientific breakthrough, or miracle cure.
• 2:33
SPEAKER_00: For example, some clinics promise to reverse aging or add decades to your life.
• 2:37
SPEAKER_00: Scientists warn that claims like guaranteed 20 extra years or stop aging are not realistic.
• 2:44
  SPEAKER_00: Ask questions about evidence.
• 2:46
SPEAKER_00: Does the clinic provide studies or references for each treatment?
• 2:49
SPEAKER_00: Are they published in reputable journals?
• 2:51
SPEAKER_00: If a clinic says they use advanced tests like genomic sequencing or body imaging, ask, how do you use the results for my care?
• 2:59
SPEAKER_00: Some high-tech tests are still experimental.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_00: One expert found that many clinics present biological age tests, like DNA aging markers, as exact scores, even though their accuracy is still debated.
• 3:10
SPEAKER_00: Similarly, treatments like stem cell infusions or IV vitamin cocktails are often offered without strong proof of benefit.
• 3:17
SPEAKER_00: Ask if the clinic supports these claims with published research or if they are part of clinical trials.
• 3:22
SPEAKER_00: Be cautious if a clinic repeatedly says it works for our clients, but shows no scientific data.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_00: Testimonials or social media ads can be misleading.
• 3:31
SPEAKER_00: In fact, a study of health advice on social media found that many posts about medical tests came from accounts with financial interests and were often misleading.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: In other words, celebrities or bloggers might hype a test or pill because they get paid.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_00: Always focus on peer-reviewed evidence.
• 3:46
SPEAKER_00: If in doubt, ask your own doctor or an independent expert to evaluate the clinic's promises.
• 3:52
  SPEAKER_00: Compare services offered.
• 3:54
SPEAKER_00: Look closely at what each clinic actually offers.
• 3:56
SPEAKER_00: Longevity clinics call their packages many things executive health check, wellness week, concierge membership, etc., but you must know what is included.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_00: For example, a 2025 review lists typical offerings at top longevity clinics: genomic sequencing, blood tests, full body MRI scans, heart CT scans, microbiome tests, and counseling on diet, exercise, and supplements.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_00: They even offer experimental items like stem cell therapy, hormone shots, or cryotherapy.
• 4:24
SPEAKER_00: Make a clear list of services and tests each clinic provides in their base package.
• 4:28
SPEAKER_00: Does the price include things like MRI or specialist doctor visits, or are those add-ons?
• 4:33
SPEAKER_00: Are there limits on how many lab tests or doctor visits you get?
• 4:37
SPEAKER_00: Does the program include a diet and exercise plan, genetic counseling, or just hand you a list of pills?
• 4:42
SPEAKER_00: For example, one concierge clinic might include an annual MRI scan and a full review by a physician, while another might only offer a blood test and questionnaire.
• 4:51
  SPEAKER_00: Actionable step.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_00: Write down all services in a service basket for each clinic.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_00: Note things like annual MRI, genetic report, personal coach, hormone prescriptions.
• 5:01
SPEAKER_00: Check if services are done by qualified staff, e.g., radiologists, nutritionists.
• 5:07
SPEAKER_00: Avoid vague statements like fully personalized program without details.
• 5:11
SPEAKER_00: Also, watch out for extreme upsells.
• 5:14
SPEAKER_00: Some programs start with a core list, but then push you to buy expensive add-ons.
• 5:18
SPEAKER_00: For instance, a review warned that premium clinics may sell extra treatments, bolt-on reverse aging add-ons, that have no human lifespan extension evidence behind them.
• 5:29
SPEAKER_00: This means you might pay thousands extra for therapies of questionable value.
• 5:33
SPEAKER_00: Keep your list updated so you can compare the true scope of each program.
• 5:37
  SPEAKER_00: Protect your data privacy.
• 5:39
SPEAKER_00: You will share sensitive health information at a longevity clinic, genetic data, blood test results, lifestyle info.
• 5:47
SPEAKER_00: It is vital to know how your data is protected.
• 5:49
SPEAKER_00: Ask each clinic for its privacy policy.
• 5:52
SPEAKER_00: In the US, any legitimate medical clinic must follow HIPAA rules, a federal law protecting health information.
• 5:59
SPEAKER_00: In Europe, clinics must follow GDPR, strict data privacy rules.
• 6:04
SPEAKER_00: Clinics that mention these rules in their materials are taking privacy seriously.
• 6:08
SPEAKER_00: For example, one European longevity clinic site clearly states, your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting and safeguarding your data privacy rights.
• 6:18
SPEAKER_00: That is a good sign.
• 6:20
  SPEAKER_00: Questions to ask.
• 6:30
SPEAKER_00: A trustworthy clinic will have a written notice explaining how they collect and store your data and will allow you to see or delete your information if needed.
• 6:39
SPEAKER_00: Avoid clinics that have no clear answer.
• 6:41
SPEAKER_00: Data privacy is a real issue.
• 6:43
SPEAKER_00: Some new wellness programs collect huge amounts of data for research or apps, so ensure it won't be misused.
• 6:49
SPEAKER_00: If a clinic won't discuss privacy or doesn't have a clear policy section on their website, treat it as a warning sign.
• 6:56
SPEAKER_00: Your medical details should stay confidential, they should not be marketed or shared like a consumer product.
• 7:01
  SPEAKER_00: Insist on price transparency.
• 7:03
SPEAKER_00: Price is a crucial factor.
• 7:05
SPEAKER_00: Longevity clinics can be very expensive, and all costs should be clear up front.
• 7:10
SPEAKER_00: In the US, even hospitals are now fined if they hide prices.
• 7:14
SPEAKER_00: If big healthcare providers must list prices, private clinics should too.
• 7:18
SPEAKER_00: Do not sign up if costs feel secretive.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_00: Get a written cost breakdown from each clinic.
• 7:23
SPEAKER_00: Ask for details like initial exam fee, costs of tests, blood work, scans, etc., program or membership fee per year or month, monthly follow-up fees, costs of any required supplements or medications.
• 7:35
SPEAKER_00: For example, one top concierge program might list$10,000 for initial screening,$5,000 per year membership, plus labs billed separately.
• 7:44
  SPEAKER_00: Another might quote$20,000 all-inclusive yearly fee.
• 7:48
SPEAKER_00: Compare these numbers item by item.
• 7:50
SPEAKER_00: Also consider indirect costs, travel, lodging if the clinic is far or abroad, and your time off work for appointments.
• 7:56
SPEAKER_00: A good tip is to build a total cost of care basket.
• 8:00
SPEAKER_00: Add up the first year costs for each clinic, initial visit, plus all included tests, plus extra fees.
• 8:07
SPEAKER_00: Then do it again for a typical second year.
• 8:09
SPEAKER_00: Writing these out shows which clinic is more affordable or what you get for the price.
• 8:13
SPEAKER_00: Beware of vague pricing like starting at$10,000 without specifics.
• 8:18
SPEAKER_00: Also look for hidden charges.
• 8:19
SPEAKER_00: Does the clinic pressure you to buy their vitamin packs or hormone treatments on top?
• 8:23
SPEAKER_00: If so, include those in your cost tally.
• 8:26
SPEAKER_00: The more transparent a clinic is here, the better.
• 8:29
SPEAKER_00: If they refuse to give a clear quote, consider that a red flag.
• 8:33
SPEAKER_00: Step by step, gathering quotes and making comparisons.
• 8:36
  SPEAKER_00: List your options.
• 8:37
SPEAKER_00: Write down a few longevity clinics you are interested in.
• 8:40
SPEAKER_00: You might find them online, get references from friends, or ask your doctor.
• 8:44
  SPEAKER_00: Prepare questions.
• 8:46
SPEAKER_00: Before calling, make a checklist of what to ask.
• 8:48
SPEAKER_00: Key items, doctor credentials, list of services, inclusions and exclusions, cost breakdown, data privacy policy, refund cancellation terms, and any other concerns, e.g., travel requirements.
• 9:01
  SPEAKER_00: Contact clinics.
• 9:02
SPEAKER_00: Call or email each one and ask your questions.
• 9:05
  SPEAKER_00: Be friendly but firm.
• 9:06
SPEAKER_00: For example, could you send me a detailed price sheet and explain exactly what is included in the program?
• 9:12
SPEAKER_00: Take notes on their answers.
• 9:14
SPEAKER_00: If someone seems evasive or pushy, note that.
• 9:17
SPEAKER_00: Good clinics will be willing to explain everything clearly.
• 9:20
SPEAKER_00: Record responses in the worksheet.
• 9:22
SPEAKER_00: As you get answers, fill in a comparison worksheet, see below, or spreadsheet.
• 9:26
SPEAKER_00: Put each clinic's name as a column header and list factors, doctors, tests, cost, etc., as rows.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_00: This visual layout helps you see differences at a glance.
• 9:35
  SPEAKER_00: Compare apples to apples.
• 9:37
SPEAKER_00: Make sure you compare similar packages.
• 9:39
SPEAKER_00: For example, if clinic A's quote includes an MRI scan and clinic B's does not, adding that to your worksheet shows the true value gap.
• 9:46
SPEAKER_00: Also compare cancellation policies and follow-up schedules.
• 9:49
  SPEAKER_00: Check references and reviews.
• 9:51
SPEAKER_00: If possible, see if current or former patients can share their experience, online reviews, forums, or personal contacts.
• 9:58
SPEAKER_00: Positive success stories should be balanced by independent reports.
• 10:02
SPEAKER_00: Real clinics often have patient testimonials, but look for detailed, specific experiences.
• 10:07
  SPEAKER_00: Stay organized and patient.
• 10:09
  SPEAKER_00: Don't rush.
• 10:10
SPEAKER_00: While saving money is good, remember the purpose.
• 10:12
  SPEAKER_00: Your health.
• 10:13
SPEAKER_00: Taking time to compare means you are more likely to pick a quality clinic that really helps, rather than jumping at the first flashy offer.
• 10:20
SPEAKER_00: Red flags in marketing claims, upsells, and refund policies.
• 10:24
SPEAKER_00: Be on the lookout for warning signs that a clinic might be more about selling than healing.
• 10:28
SPEAKER_00: Unrealistic promises are the biggest red flag.
• 10:30
SPEAKER_00: For example, any claim to reverse aging or add decades to your life should raise your eyebrows.
• 10:37
SPEAKER_00: Experts warn that such grand claims are usually false.
• 10:40
SPEAKER_00: Also watch for prohibitive language like only available if you sign today, often an upsell tactic.
• 10:47
SPEAKER_00: If they hype a secret remedy or use buzzwords like miracle, breakthrough, or cure-all, think twice.
• 10:53
SPEAKER_00: A legitimate clinic will not guarantee free of all diseases or push you into a quick decision.
• 10:59
  SPEAKER_00: Upsells and add-ons.
• 11:01
SPEAKER_00: Check what the base price covers and what costs extra.
• 11:04
SPEAKER_00: Some programs look affordable at first, but then require you to purchase expensive supplements, special foods, or extra therapies.
• 11:11
SPEAKER_00: For example, a membership might cost$200 a month, but insist you also buy a$100 a month vitamin subscription from them.
• 11:19
SPEAKER_00: This is common with longevity programs.
• 11:21
SPEAKER_00: A recent analysis even noted that many clinics heavily upsell supplements and off-label drugs.
• 11:27
SPEAKER_00: Always ask, is this mandatory or an extra choice?
• 11:30
SPEAKER_00: If it's extra, how much?
• 11:32
SPEAKER_00: Only agree to add-ons that have clear evidence or that you truly need.
• 11:35
  SPEAKER_00: Refunding cancellation policies.
• 11:38
SPEAKER_00: Before paying, make sure you understand the refund rules.
• 11:40
SPEAKER_00: Some clinics have strict no refund policies after a certain date or no partial refunds at all.
• 11:46
SPEAKER_00: This is a red flag if you later decide it's not for you.
• 11:49
SPEAKER_00: Ask, if I am unhappy or need to cancel, what cost can I recover?
• 11:53
SPEAKER_00: And get it in writing.
• 11:54
SPEAKER_00: A few legitimate providers may offer a short trial period, e.g.
• 11:58
SPEAKER_00: 30 days, with a full refund if you are not satisfied.
• 12:01
SPEAKER_00: Be very cautious if they give no refund guarantee or vague answers.
• 12:05
SPEAKER_00: Also watch for long-term contracts.
• 12:07
SPEAKER_00: You deserve to know exactly how to stop the program if needed.
• 12:11
SPEAKER_00: Too good to be true.
• 12:12
SPEAKER_00: Keep in mind the old saying, products that promise rapid fixes without effort should be suspect.
• 12:17
SPEAKER_00: Healthier aging usually requires real work, not just buying a package.
• 12:21
SPEAKER_00: If an offer sounds like lose weight and look 20 years younger in one week, it's a scammy claim.
• 12:27
SPEAKER_00: Always give yourself time to research.
• 12:29
SPEAKER_00: Legitimate clinics will not pressure you with limited time hype.
• 12:32
SPEAKER_00: Remember, health decisions are important ones.
• 12:35
SPEAKER_00: A reputable clinic will understand you need to think it over.
• 12:38
  SPEAKER_00: Worksheets for tracking clinics.
• 12:40
SPEAKER_00: To stay organized, use comparison worksheets.
• 12:43
SPEAKER_00: You can make a simple table in paper or a spreadsheet.
• 12:46
SPEAKER_00: Below are examples of what to track.
• 12:48
  SPEAKER_00: Worksheet clinic comparison.
• 12:49
  SPEAKER_00: Create columns for each clinic A, B, C.

• 13:47
SPEAKER_00: For example, list the doctor names and degrees in one row, list included lab tests in another, etc.
• 13:53
SPEAKER_00: This makes it easy to scan each clinic's offerings side by side.
• 13:56
  SPEAKER_00: Worksheet, cost of care.

• 14:55
SPEAKER_00: Use this kind of table to tally every expected expense from each clinic.
• 14:59
SPEAKER_00: Notice if one clinic's year two cost is higher because its initial package is cheaper, but requires more extras.
• 15:05
SPEAKER_00: This helps reveal hidden long-term costs.
• 15:07
  SPEAKER_00: Worksheet.
• 15:08

• 15:24
  SPEAKER_00: Results reporting?
• 15:25
SPEAKER_00: Will you get a clear report or just a summary?
• 15:28
  SPEAKER_00: Record these notes plainly.
• 15:29
SPEAKER_00: E.g., clinic A, three follow-ups and first year, labs included.
• 15:33
SPEAKER_00: After year one, yearly checkups available.

SPEAKER_00: By comparing these worksheets for each clinic, you will get a clear side-by-side view of who offers what, at what price, and under what conditions.
