- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show continues, Hey, it's Wednesday. This is
- 0:11Speaker 1: week one. We've gotten through week one of the new year.
- 0:15Speaker 1: You know, yesterday I forgot it was January sixth, And
- 0:19Speaker 1: you know, Democrats and Trumpeters would like to make that
- 0:22Speaker 1: like a national thing every year, like you know, nine
- 0:26Speaker 1: to eleven, where the whole country stops to remember, or
- 0:29Speaker 1: they want to make it like a pearl harbor kind
- 0:31Speaker 1: of It's it's not going to work those of you
- 0:33Speaker 1: that don't remember January sixth, was that terrible trespassing incident
- 0:38Speaker 1: at the Capitol. I remember. But here's the Democrats are now.
- 0:43Speaker 1: You know all the universities have been corrupted, many of
- 0:45Speaker 1: our high schools. You got all these left wing teachers.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You got all this left wing propaganda being taught in
- 0:53Speaker 1: schools now, and this is why you get people that younger,
- 0:55Speaker 1: people that will vote for Mom. DONI twenty thirty years
- 0:58Speaker 1: of being indoctrinated in these left classrooms. Well now they
- 1:03Speaker 1: want to add January sixth to the history books and
- 1:05Speaker 1: have that taught in every classroom. Now. Of course, they're
- 1:08Speaker 1: not going to teach the whole story, as democrats do
- 1:11Speaker 1: or fake news does. They'll just give you three or
- 1:15Speaker 1: four pieces of the puzzle and leave out ninety eight
- 1:18Speaker 1: percent of it, so they won't tell you that President
- 1:21Speaker 1: Trump offered ten thousand troops and urged them to take
- 1:25Speaker 1: the ten thousand troops to guard the capital that day.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It was just another demonstration like the other two hundred
- 1:31Speaker 1: and seventy five that had happened that whole summer in America.
- 1:35Speaker 1: But Nancy Pelosi and the mayor of DC decided not
- 1:39Speaker 1: to accept the offer of the ten thousand troops. They
- 1:43Speaker 1: were told four hundred thousand demonstrators would show up. They
- 1:47Speaker 1: turned down the ten thousand troops. And by the way,
- 1:51Speaker 1: demonstrations of that size were taking place all the time
- 1:53Speaker 1: in Washington when Trump was president, once a member at
- 1:56Speaker 1: the Lincoln Memorial and he surrounded it with troops with
- 2:00Speaker 1: machine gun and nobody got near the Lincoln Memorial. The
- 2:03Speaker 1: worst one was when Democratic protesters tried to take the
- 2:06Speaker 1: White House, tried to come over the fence. Remember Trump
- 2:10Speaker 1: put out those tweets, if you do come over the fence,
- 2:12Speaker 1: you're going to see the most vicious dogs you've ever seen.
- 2:15Speaker 1: But he surrounded the place with troops. There was still
- 2:17Speaker 1: a hell of a battle at the White House fence.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Over two hundred law enforcement ended up in the hospital
- 2:23Speaker 1: after that. But January sixth, it was just another one
- 2:27Speaker 1: of those, not as bad as the one at the
- 2:29Speaker 1: White House. But Nancy Pelosi made the decision that you
- 2:33Speaker 1: would try to guard the building with just the building
- 2:36Speaker 1: security guys the Capitol Hill Police, which that's basically go
- 2:39Speaker 1: it is the security guys at the building instead of
- 2:43Speaker 1: actual troops and Capitol police. They're nice, but they there's
- 2:49Speaker 1: only a couple of hundred of them, and they can't
- 2:51Speaker 1: control four hundred thousand demonstrators, so they'll leave that out
- 2:55Speaker 1: of the discussion. In fact, Nancy Pelosi to this day
- 2:58Speaker 1: denies it, although there's video of her admitting to it
- 3:02Speaker 1: that night that she turned it down and this is
- 3:04Speaker 1: all her fault. But she'll de and I and they'll
- 3:06Speaker 1: teach the fake version of January sixth. They'll say, they'll
- 3:09Speaker 1: just keep using the word insurrection. It was an insurrection. Meantime,
- 3:13Speaker 1: they arrested twelve hundred of those demonstrators, not a single
- 3:16Speaker 1: one has been charged with insurrection. And remember they charged
- 3:20Speaker 1: these guys with everything they could hit him with. Each
- 3:22Speaker 1: one got hit with twelve charges, nineteen charges, twenty anything
- 3:25Speaker 1: they could charge him with, and nobody got charged with insurrection.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But we'll see see what happens if they can stop
- 3:33Speaker 1: that from going into the history books. Hey, TV ratings
- 3:37Speaker 1: for the year twenty twenty five, you know the New
- 3:40Speaker 1: Year's Eve show on ABC, which was Dick Clark's rock
- 3:44Speaker 1: in New Year's Eve for years now it's Ryan Seacrest
- 3:47Speaker 1: did pretty well. Got eighteen million viewers in today's broadcast
- 3:52Speaker 1: TV world. That is enormous. That's huge, huge, and got
- 3:58Speaker 1: seventeen million the year before. It was a definite increase.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It went up. Andy Cohen of course, looked ridiculous, getting
- 4:05Speaker 1: drunk out of his mind, going into a drunken rant
- 4:08Speaker 1: about Eric Adams, and then Adams was asked about it
- 4:12Speaker 1: the next day. What do you got to say to
- 4:14Speaker 1: Andy Cohen who called you all kinds of names, and
- 4:16Speaker 1: he said, I got My response is two letters, and
- 4:22Speaker 1: you thought it must be f you or something like
- 4:26Speaker 1: my response is two letters AA, which is a great response.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And now Adam's tweeting about Andy Cohen alcoholics anonymous. So
- 4:38Speaker 1: it is a problem. You know, people get drunk on
- 4:41Speaker 1: New Year's Eve, but if you're on live television, in
- 4:43Speaker 1: front of eighteen million people. You'd think you'd have a
- 4:46Speaker 1: little discipline not to get that drunk. But it was
- 4:49Speaker 1: a big night for ABC with the eighteen million viewers.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Fox News had one of the best years ever. Four
- 4:57Speaker 1: point one million viewers was the average. That's like way
- 5:01Speaker 1: beyond any other cable network. Four point one million viewers.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Biggest show of the year was The Five and Jesse
- 5:09Speaker 1: Waters and of course Hannity. Those are the three biggest shows. MSNBC,
- 5:15Speaker 1: CNN a bad year. Not a lot. The most watched
- 5:18Speaker 1: telecast of twenty twenty five number one, right the super Bowl?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Number two. Tracker The Hell is Tracker? I don't know.
- 5:28Speaker 1: It's one of those drama shows. I know, I do know.
- 5:30Speaker 1: It's about that whatever he is, a detective whatever is
- 5:33Speaker 1: who tracks down missing people? Nineteen episodes, but it did
- 5:36Speaker 1: really well. The NFL was the biggest thing on television
- 5:39Speaker 1: all year. If you take the top one hundred things
- 5:43Speaker 1: of twenty twenty five, forty five of them almost half
- 5:47Speaker 1: were NFL games. That's really the only thing keeping broadcast
- 5:52Speaker 1: TV alive. Ratings are down dramatically. Everything in broadcast TV
- 5:57Speaker 1: ratings are way down, but the NFL doing really well,
- 6:02Speaker 1: Tim Waltz, you know, he said he will not seek reelection,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and I don't blame him. If eighteen billion was stolen
- 6:08Speaker 1: right under your nose in your own state, you got
- 6:11Speaker 1: no business seeking reelection. By the way, the attorney general
- 6:15Speaker 1: of Minnesota, that left wing kook, Keith Ellison, Why hasn't
- 6:19Speaker 1: he resigned? If you're the attorney general and eighteen billion
- 6:23Speaker 1: was stolen right under your nose and you didn't catch it,
- 6:27Speaker 1: why hasn't he resigned? Now people are calling for Waltz
- 6:29Speaker 1: to resign immediately. He won't seek reelection, but people are
- 6:32Speaker 1: saying this is so bad, this scandal so horrifying, that
- 6:36Speaker 1: he should resign immediately. He refuses to do that.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I'm not going anywhere, and you can make all your
- 6:42Speaker 2: requests for me to resign over my dead body will
- 6:45Speaker 2: that happen. I will fight this thing till the very
- 6:48Speaker 2: end to make this state better. And the question that
- 6:50Speaker 2: I think they need to decide is is when did
- 6:52Speaker 2: the guy in the White House resign? Anytime I get
- 6:55Speaker 2: drug into being next to Donald Trump? God help me,
- 6:58Speaker 2: I don't want to be judged against that guy.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Now, apparently in private, they told him you should resign
- 7:03Speaker 1: and he threw a temper tantrument and went nuts. And
- 7:07Speaker 1: then the rest of that speech was this whole thing
- 7:09Speaker 1: about every minute I spend on my own political interests
- 7:13Speaker 1: is a minute I can't spend defending the people in
- 7:15Speaker 1: Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity. Well,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I think if eighteen billion went missing, we could agree
- 7:22Speaker 1: he's not very good at that. Anyway, he is suffering.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I mean, you know, want to make fun of a
- 7:29Speaker 1: guy with medical problems. He is suffering from Trump derangement syndrome.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Game's over for him now. It was all me. I
- 7:36Speaker 1: was the bad guy or whatever.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Well, put up or shut up now and tell us
- 7:40Speaker 2: what you're going to do to make this state better.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Answer these tough questions, quit hiding behind this, and expect
- 7:46Speaker 2: for the next eleven months for me to ride you
- 7:50Speaker 2: like you've never been ridden.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. But what's Trump going
- 7:55Speaker 1: to do about it? Well, right now they're going in
- 7:57Speaker 1: and arresting the criminals who stole the eighteen billion, not million,
- 8:03Speaker 1: eighteen billion. They're arresting them one by one. This is
- 8:06Speaker 1: like the Bernie Madoff cleanup. You know, they had to
- 8:08Speaker 1: go after everybody, but then they had to claw back
- 8:10Speaker 1: the money. Well, the feds are starting to do that.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You know a lot of these ring leaders of this fraud,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and it was just an out and out fraud scheme
- 8:18Speaker 1: by these Somalis in Minnesota. Many of them took the
- 8:22Speaker 1: money and bought mansions and Porsches and luxury goods and
- 8:27Speaker 1: all sorts of expensive real estate. Well here's one. One
- 8:31Speaker 1: woman was convicted. The court is now federal charges. The
- 8:34Speaker 1: court is now clawing back everything, making her sell the houses,
- 8:37Speaker 1: the Porsche, the cars, the Rolls Royces and getting the
- 8:40Speaker 1: money back. So it takes a while. You know, with
- 8:43Speaker 1: the Bernie Madoff stuff, that was like fifty billion, but
- 8:46Speaker 1: they got back like thirty billion of it. So they'll
- 8:49Speaker 1: get they'll probably get back nine billion of this money.
- 8:51Speaker 1: They'll claw it back slowly but surely. And that's what
- 8:54Speaker 1: you do about it. Oh, I forget George Conway. Now,
- 9:00Speaker 1: this guy is going to be great. We are so
- 9:03Speaker 1: lucky that he has come to New York and he's
- 9:06Speaker 1: going to run for the Gerald Nadler, a congressional seat
- 9:09Speaker 1: that's open. Now you might be saying, well, what if
- 9:11Speaker 1: he wins. He's a left wing crazy. Yeah, but so
- 9:13Speaker 1: its Nadler. So it's no change at all. And that
- 9:16Speaker 1: district in New York, you're always gonna get a left
- 9:18Speaker 1: wing cook, so you might as well get this guy
- 9:20Speaker 1: because he's so silly and such a clown. George Conway.
- 9:24Speaker 1: He was married at one time to Kelly and Conway,
- 9:27Speaker 1: who's great. And you might say, well, how could that be. Well,
- 9:30Speaker 1: back then, you know, he was one of the most
- 9:32Speaker 1: brilliant lawyers in New York, brilliant attorney, a very successful guy,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and then he was married to her. But we've seen
- 9:39Speaker 1: this happen before where somebody goes nuts. And Conway was
- 9:44Speaker 1: hanging around with all the big Conservatives and Republicans, George Conway,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and then at some point we've seen it with other people.
- 9:50Speaker 1: They they just snap, they just go nuts, and all
- 9:54Speaker 1: of a sudden they become a left wing kook with
- 9:57Speaker 1: Trump derangement syndrome. But he's going to run for this
- 10:00Speaker 1: seat on the west side of Manhattan. Now, you might
- 10:03Speaker 1: be saying yourself, wait a minute, he lives in Maryland,
- 10:05Speaker 1: he doesn't even live here. Well, he's a Democrat. You
- 10:08Speaker 1: can do whatever the hell you want when you're a
- 10:10Speaker 1: Democrat and he's got raised money, and he's got his
- 10:13Speaker 1: first campaign ads, The George Conway campaign is underway.
- 10:18Speaker 3: As one of the ads, we have a corrupt president,
- 10:20Speaker 3: a mendacious president, a criminal president whose masked agents are
- 10:25Speaker 3: disappearing people from our streets, who's breaking international law, and
- 10:29Speaker 3: he's running our federal government like a mob protection racket.
- 10:35Speaker 1: This is why this guy's going to be great. This hysterical,
- 10:37Speaker 1: hyperbog nonsense. And he's mendacious, which I think is bad.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I don't know exactly what it is, but it's bad.
- 10:46Speaker 1: You don't want to be mendacious. He's disappearing people. It's
- 10:50Speaker 1: called arresting people. I love the and it's a violation
- 10:54Speaker 1: of international law. You're going to hear this a lot
- 10:57Speaker 1: from Democrats, especially with Venezuela. He's violated international law. Nobody
- 11:02Speaker 1: knows what the hell he's talking about. There's no such
- 11:04Speaker 1: thing as international law. Nobody knows what they're referring to.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Where's this international law you're talking about. There is no
- 11:13Speaker 1: international law. The only thing you could point to. I
- 11:16Speaker 1: asked Greg Jarrett, the great legal extorid, what the hell
- 11:18Speaker 1: are they talking about international law? He said, maybe they're
- 11:21Speaker 1: talking about the un charter United Nations. But they're not
- 11:26Speaker 1: a law enforcement agency. They have no law, they have
- 11:28Speaker 1: no authority, they have no standing at all. Dad, So
- 11:32Speaker 1: there's no such thing as international law. But the commercial
- 11:35Speaker 1: goes on.
- 11:35Speaker 3: He doesn't like me. I don't like what he's done
- 11:37Speaker 3: to our great country, and now I'm running for Congress
- 11:40Speaker 3: to take the fight directly back to him.
- 11:43Speaker 1: On your behalf, you go. He does not like what
- 11:47Speaker 1: he's done to this country. But Joe Biden he alwa,
- 11:50Speaker 1: he was thrilled about that. Thrilled. But this guy's going
- 11:54Speaker 1: to be great. We're so lucky to get him here.
- 11:56Speaker 1: This is so good for us. We're going to have
- 11:58Speaker 1: nothing but amusement from this George. You remember, he's the
- 12:01Speaker 1: guy that ran that crazy Lincoln project with the same thing.
- 12:04Speaker 1: The ever, nothing he did work because it was all
- 12:07Speaker 1: too over the top hysterical.
- 12:08Speaker 4: I don't intend to be doing this when I'm sixty
- 12:10Speaker 4: six or sixty seven or sixty eight. You know, I'm
- 12:15Speaker 4: kind of like a special teams player. I want to
- 12:17Speaker 4: do this for one reason, and that is to help
- 12:21Speaker 4: get this our governmental system back on track with something
- 12:26Speaker 4: back to normal, at least back toward normal.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Here, you go. His idea normal was Joe Biden, you know,
- 12:34Speaker 1: the great stephen A. Smith. Let me see if I
- 12:37Speaker 1: can find that quote. It's a very important point because
- 12:41Speaker 1: a lot of these Democrats are going nuts and screaming
- 12:43Speaker 1: and yelling. Stephen A. Smith is a Democrat, but he
- 12:46Speaker 1: he's like Bill Maher occasional bouts of common sense. But
- 12:50Speaker 1: he stunned a Democratic audience by explaining to them because
- 12:54Speaker 1: they can't get how Donald Trump gets elected. But Stephen A.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Smith explained to him that for all the things they
- 12:59Speaker 1: hate about Donald Trump, to normal voters, to most normal voters,
- 13:05Speaker 1: they think Trump is a lot closer to normal than
- 13:07Speaker 1: today's Democrats are. And you could look at Trump and say,
- 13:11Speaker 1: why he's doing things that's not presidential? Why does he
- 13:13Speaker 1: behave like that way? Well, whatever he does, it's a
- 13:16Speaker 1: lot more normal than Democrats are. Right now, Hey, there's
- 13:20Speaker 1: a new phenomenon. I don't like this at all. You know,
- 13:23Speaker 1: you know the restaurant Carbone. It opened I don't know
- 13:27Speaker 1: about ten years ago in the village Carbone, an Italian restaurant.
- 13:31Speaker 1: It's sort of it was just a gimmick actually for
- 13:35Speaker 1: younger you know, the whole new generation. It was like
- 13:37Speaker 1: old school red sauce Italian food. But to these younger people,
- 13:43Speaker 1: they've never seen that. I mean, you could go to
- 13:46Speaker 1: Patsy's and it's much better there, but they never saw
- 13:49Speaker 1: anything like Carbone and the checker tablecloths. I never saw
- 13:52Speaker 1: anything like that. So it took off. It became huge.
- 13:55Speaker 1: And when you become the hottest trendiest restaurant, then in
- 14:00Speaker 1: the old days, you were the hottest trendiest restaurant, and anybody
- 14:02Speaker 1: would come to New York. I gotta go there. I
- 14:04Speaker 1: want to. Well, now they opened. When you're at the
- 14:07Speaker 1: trendiest place, you open everywhere. Then there was Carbone Miami,
- 14:10Speaker 1: then there was Carbone, Paris, Carbone, Los Angeles. Carbone. Now
- 14:14Speaker 1: it's just opening in the Bellagio. So the reason for this,
- 14:18Speaker 1: you get these big hedge fund guys, and whenever it's
- 14:21Speaker 1: the hottest restaurant in the world. You know, if you
- 14:24Speaker 1: want to always get a table, you bribe the matri dus.
- 14:27Speaker 1: But if you really want to get treated well, you
- 14:29Speaker 1: get friendly with the owner and you offer to put
- 14:31Speaker 1: up millions and millions and millions to open some more restaurants.
- 14:35Speaker 1: That's why you see like Ovre on sixtieth Street. That
- 14:38Speaker 1: became a big hotspot. Next thing you know, there's an
- 14:41Speaker 1: Ova on fiftieth Street. Next thing you know, there's an
- 14:43Speaker 1: Ovora over here. Next thing you know, there's one in
- 14:45Speaker 1: Beverly Hills. There's one in Miami. But this phenomenon is
- 14:48Speaker 1: spreading everywhere, and it's not good. Everything is becoming a
- 14:53Speaker 1: chain now. For instance, Sally's Pizza New Haven. There's Frank Peppies, Sally's.
- 15:02Speaker 1: These were like the two. You'd drive to New Haven
- 15:04Speaker 1: just to have these pizzas that everybody's saying are the
- 15:07Speaker 1: best in the world. Well, next thing you know, Frank
- 15:09Speaker 1: Peppy's opening everywhere everywhere. There's one in Fairfield, there's one
- 15:13Speaker 1: in Stanford. There's one here, there's one in Yonkers, there's one.
- 15:17Speaker 1: They're all over the place. There's a couple of them
- 15:19Speaker 1: in Florida, they're in Nashville there. Now the other one
- 15:22Speaker 1: is Sally's. Sally's just announced they're opening two one hundred
- 15:25Speaker 1: and fifty of them, two one hundred and fifty of them. Now,
- 15:29Speaker 1: the problem is everybody would go to New Haven because
- 15:32Speaker 1: it was such phenomenal pizza. When you open two hundred
- 15:35Speaker 1: and fifty of them, You're not gonna have the same
- 15:37Speaker 1: pizza everywhere. It's not possible. It doesn't work. And they're
- 15:42Speaker 1: all doing this. You know, in Queens and Utopia Boulevard.
- 15:46Speaker 1: For a million years, Utopia Bagels they were always the
- 15:49Speaker 1: best bagels in yours. People would drive out there just
- 15:51Speaker 1: to go to Utopia Begels. They were so amazing. Then
- 15:56Speaker 1: they opened one in Manhattan and it's always the same story.
- 15:59Speaker 1: It's not as good as the original. Now there's four
- 16:01Speaker 1: in New York City. Now they're opening all over. Now
- 16:04Speaker 1: there's gonna be one in London, they're opening here, they're opening.
- 16:07Speaker 1: They've got to stop this stuff. These are like our
- 16:09Speaker 1: finest food things, and they're all becoming franchises. Now. McDonald's
- 16:15Speaker 1: can figure out how to do it, but these people can't.
- 16:18Speaker 1: It doesn't work. It's diluting the whole thing. Even the
- 16:21Speaker 1: top restaurants of the world that John, George, Danielle, all
- 16:24Speaker 1: these guys. Now instead of one restaurant, they got seventy five,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and they're not the same quality. You can't. You can't
- 16:31Speaker 1: have seventy five be the same quality. It's gotta stop. Hey,
- 16:34Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next eight hundred three to two
- 16:37Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three
- 16:41Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten
