- 0:02There can be no permanent settlement of Peace in the mind
- 0:06if the vital Nature has not also attained quiet and peace.
- 0:11Many people take this as a reason to abandon active life
- 0:15and involvement in society and the World At Large, yet this is
- 0:20not a solution. The vital nature is very much
- 0:24driven by the Guna of rajas which involves action passion
- 0:29desire and can be highly ambitious or aggressive when it
- 0:34is fully active. Abandonment of this.
- 0:37Action would be allowing the Guna of Thomas.
- 0:40Inertia Darkness indolence to become predominant.
- 0:46What is required is not the rising of Thomas, but the
- 0:50insertion of light and Harmony into the action of rajas.
- 0:54In other words, the infusion of a supplicant element into the
- 0:59rajasic force. It is therefore necessary to use
- 1:03the quiet and peace that is entering into the Mind, along
- 1:08with the separation of the witness Consciousness, from the
- 1:11active nature to provide distance in the viewing of the
- 1:15actions of the vital nature, to begin to influence the vital
- 1:20nature. Toward one of harmonious
- 1:22light-filled action rather than the impulsive often violent
- 1:27motion of the unrefined Raja Basic nature.
- 1:33The mother writes quote. Now one can quickly realize that
- 1:38there is another quietude which is necessary and even very
- 1:42urgently needed. This is the vital quietude that
- 1:46is to say the absence of Desire only the vital when not
- 1:52sufficiently developed. As soon as it is told to keep
- 1:55quiet either goes to sleep or goes on strike.
- 2:01It says uh, no nothing doing. I won't go any further.
- 2:06If you don't give me the sustenance.
- 2:07I need excitement. Enthusiasm, desire, even
- 2:11passion. I prefer not to move and I won't
- 2:15do anything any longer. So, there's the problem.
- 2:21It becomes a little more delicate and perhaps even more
- 2:25difficult. Still for Shirley to fall from
- 2:29excitement into inertia, is very far from being a progress.
