- 0:00Speaker 1: First is Dirty Little Secret.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Makes one or two point nine.
- 0:06Speaker 3: It's pail like a kid, Candislow pass, she's here, producer, pooh,
- 0:10Speaker 3: he's here, and then got Cannas is back.
- 0:12Speaker 2: She was gone yesterday and sorry the man who if
- 0:18Speaker 2: you were gone today, I was gonna call him sick.
- 0:22Speaker 2: He's not that bad.
- 0:23Speaker 3: No, Pooh, I love, I mean pooh. We've been friends
- 0:25Speaker 3: for twenty six years. We've worked together for twenty six years. Yeah,
- 0:29Speaker 3: there's just.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Certain things people can do, and there' certain things people can't. Sure, okay,
- 0:32Speaker 2: and that's for all things.
- 0:34Speaker 3: He just does. You just do all the things he can't, okay.
- 0:39Speaker 3: So that's what we learned yesterday, Dirty Little Secret. He
- 0:41Speaker 3: tried to do text his top stories, and it sounded
- 0:43Speaker 3: like two high tops in a dryer.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Oh, that's what it sounded like right there. I'm sorry
- 0:48Speaker 2: I missed that.
- 0:49Speaker 3: He picked every story about food and one story about Hooters.
- 0:53Speaker 2: So, I mean, there's this kind of food. It's a
- 0:55Speaker 2: niche audience, but I'm sure they wanted to know. As
- 0:58Speaker 2: they had to say in the core professional world, we
- 1:01Speaker 2: had to pivot.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Yeah, if you've got a secret eight three three seven,
- 1:06Speaker 3: eight seven one two nine okay, dirty little secret, whatever
- 1:10Speaker 3: that is, just you know, confess to us, get it
- 1:12Speaker 3: off your chest.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And you got one.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Oh, I have a secret that literally nobody in my
- 1:18Speaker 1: life talks about at this point, Like my family knows
- 1:21Speaker 1: to not bring it up because they know it just
- 1:24Speaker 1: makes me super emotional. And now I'm engaged and I'm
- 1:28Speaker 1: so happy. I love my fiance and we're planning this
- 1:33Speaker 1: beautiful wedding. And the problem is he has no idea
- 1:38Speaker 1: that I was married before.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Oh you were okay, so you were married before. You're
- 1:43Speaker 3: so you're engaged to him, so you're about to be married,
- 1:46Speaker 3: but he doesn't know you were ever ever married before
- 1:48Speaker 3: at all.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Yeah. I never told him, and before everybody starts freaking out.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Just I know it's insane, but it's complicated. I got
- 1:59Speaker 1: married right out of heighth to my high school sweetheart,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and I was totally in love with him. And shortly
- 2:06Speaker 1: after we got married, he his addiction got worse and worse,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and I tried everything. I tried rehab, I tried helping
- 2:15Speaker 1: him get jobs. I just stayed up all night worrying,
- 2:18Speaker 1: crying and begging him, trying to, you know, save him
- 2:21Speaker 1: from himself. And I just I couldn't. I realized eventually
- 2:26Speaker 1: that I couldn't save him because he didn't want to
- 2:29Speaker 1: save himself.
- 2:30Speaker 2: You know, so is he did he pass or was
- 2:34Speaker 2: he still alive?
- 2:36Speaker 1: No, he's still alive. We just haven't talked in years.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Okay, So for a minute, it sounded like you might
- 2:41Speaker 2: have passed away.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You just really couldn't save himself from the addiction.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Right, so you had to choose yourself and walk away. Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we ended up getting divorced because I just couldn't
- 2:52Speaker 1: deal with it anymore. And the worst part of all this,
- 2:56Speaker 1: the part that nobody knows, not anyone in my family
- 2:59Speaker 1: or anybody else, is deep down I really believe that
- 3:04Speaker 1: he'll always be my one true love, the love of
- 3:08Speaker 1: my life.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I just what you really so well?
- 3:12Speaker 3: I mean, you obviously love your fiance now, but deep
- 3:14Speaker 3: down inside you feel like he was your true or
- 3:17Speaker 3: is your true love.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean not who he is now, not who
- 3:22Speaker 1: he became, but who he used to be. That version
- 3:26Speaker 1: of him that's gone now that I've had to accept
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's gone, Like that person is the love of my life.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And it feels like I've had to grieve someone dying,
- 3:36Speaker 1: even though he's still alive, and he's I don't know,
- 3:39Speaker 1: he just he struggles so badly with addiction. And I
- 3:43Speaker 1: still keep in touch with his mom. So it's something
- 3:46Speaker 1: that like my fiance has no idea about, of course, right.
- 3:50Speaker 3: But and I get that you feel like the person
- 3:53Speaker 3: that you were in love with is kind of dead
- 3:55Speaker 3: in no way, Yeah, is kind of you are kind
- 3:57Speaker 3: of grieving really because that person that you fell in
- 4:00Speaker 3: love with doesn't exist right now. We had one of
- 4:03Speaker 3: these not too long, agore. Remember do you remember the
- 4:05Speaker 3: one the guy called up where his ex got sober
- 4:09Speaker 3: right and wanted him back back into the light her
- 4:11Speaker 3: life or whatever, and they ended up getting together and
- 4:15Speaker 3: they're still together right now.
- 4:16Speaker 2: He dumped the girl that he was with.
- 4:17Speaker 3: It was a similar situation where this guy, his ex
- 4:21Speaker 3: was an alcoholic. She calls him up one day. He's
- 4:24Speaker 3: already living with another woman and she's like, listen, I'm sober.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I'm sorry. He ends up dumping his girlfriend that he
- 4:31Speaker 3: was living with. I mean, this all happened with Damember.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Kind of messy.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Yeah, but he left right away and went remember we
- 4:39Speaker 3: had him on the air, Yeah, and proposed to her.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah, right, do you think about that at all. What
- 4:45Speaker 2: if he were different today?
- 4:48Speaker 1: I do, but I just he's nowhere close to even
- 4:51Speaker 1: making those changes.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I'm telling you, though, Let's say he does, because this
- 4:55Speaker 3: is the same thing this guy said.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Let's say this.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Guy figures out his life and he sobers up, and
- 4:59Speaker 3: you're in game, aged, you're not married yet. He calls
- 5:02Speaker 3: you and he says, I'm so sorry. I am the
- 5:04Speaker 3: person that you know you fell in love with. I
- 5:07Speaker 3: was sick, I'm healthy again, and I want you back.
- 5:11Speaker 3: What happens then, I don't know.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Wow.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I love my fiance, but I and I envision a
- 5:19Speaker 1: future with him.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But sure.
- 5:21Speaker 1: The problem is is I've always envisioned a future with
- 5:25Speaker 1: you know, my high school sweetheart.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Hey, I don't think you should get married. I don't know.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I mean that's feelings like you cannot stop your life
- 5:33Speaker 3: though because of an X who has an addiction.
- 5:35Speaker 2: No, but you have to leave it in the past.
- 5:38Speaker 2: You have to that.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I don't know that I could.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Even talk to his mom if I felt that way.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't know that I could be in contact.
- 5:44Speaker 3: If you have a string attached to yeah, you have
- 5:46Speaker 3: strings attached and it's almost like you have to break
- 5:48Speaker 3: all the strings in order to move on.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're really going to move on, that's just
- 5:52Speaker 2: my thought. But I don't know.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I feel for you because my heart breaks for you
- 5:57Speaker 3: that you do feel like this was your one true love.
- 5:59Speaker 3: But I think you can genuinely have a one true
- 6:01Speaker 3: love and still well someone who you thought was your
- 6:04Speaker 3: true love and still move on.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah, because sometimes you have to. Fiance has no idea.
- 6:09Speaker 2: That's the part that bothers me. I know, but what
- 6:12Speaker 2: is he supposed to know? I don't know that you're struggle.
- 6:15Speaker 2: You seem like you're struggling with this. Yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Well, I mean I think, if anything, you should be
- 6:18Speaker 3: honest with him about being married before, because I feel
- 6:21Speaker 3: like that will come out at some point. Yeah, but
- 6:23Speaker 3: I'm kind of focused on the fact that I don't
- 6:25Speaker 3: know if you should be even marrying this guy if
- 6:27Speaker 3: you haven't moved on completely. Yeah, please let us know
- 6:30Speaker 3: what happens. Good luck, And I'm sorry you're going through this.
- 6:33Speaker 3: And it's not like I'm saying I don't believe that
- 6:35Speaker 3: you love your fiance, because I do really believe that
- 6:37Speaker 3: you do, right, it's just a different kind of love.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I guess that's yeah, that's a baggage.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Really it is.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Good luck. Please let us know what happens.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Okay, just going into marriage with Lie, yeah, is bad
- 6:52Speaker 3: news for you.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Just got to go in with a clean sleg.
