Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded Volume 2 Letter 32 Part 1
In which the hospitable and sociable Pamela recounts a grand dinner party replete with a diverse company whose lively debates touch upon virtue, marriage, and the vexations of society, all while she receives approbation and tender counsel from the Countess of C., whose kindly friendship warms her heart. Amid these social engagements, Pamela reflects upon the trials of her reputation, the perils of malicious wit, and the delicate balance of propriety she maintains with a dignity that commands both love and reverence.
