- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Welcome back to Keeping It Relevant.
- 0:02SPEAKER_02: I'm here with my best bros.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: I'm John, Cody.
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: And today it's gonna be kind of a sad episode, but it's all relative news, but we've had quite a bit of misfortune happen in this most keeping relevant news stories.
- 0:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: And uh it has to deal with our beloved angel, Dolly Parton, and then Tim Curry, Hayden Pantiere, and Peter Cullen.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Just all in one month.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: I think that's three were in the same week.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Three of them within like 48 hours of each other.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: I heard a rumor that Dolly Parton and Tim Curry actually died the same day, but Tim Curry's estate didn't release anything until the next day.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: They did.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: I saw that same article, and I think that I don't know why I wouldn't believe it's true.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and if Dolly's news had come out first, I understand why Tim Curry's Estate would wait because they knew what Dolly meant to so many people.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: Whether you were a country music fan or not, I mean, Dolly might have been one of the last genuinely beloved by everybody person out there.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: And that's not to take anything away from Tim Curry, because there's a ton of people who love Tim Curry that way.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: She Dolly was just kind of on a different level for everything she had done.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, especially like just for just society and com and different communities in general.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: Well, and like even for multiple states, because a lot of states had that, what is it, Dolly's Traveling Books?
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: The Imagination Library.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: That one even that's worldwide.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's worldwide?
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, her Imagination Library started out.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: It was to honor her dad, because if anybody doesn't know, her dad couldn't read, he couldn't write, and that was something that kind of always bugged him.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: But she said he was one of the smartest people she ever knew.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: So to kind of help with the whole being illiterate thing, like she started a way to make sure kids could read and write with the Imagination Library.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Started off just in like her home county, and then from there it just kept building, and now it's like a worldwide thing.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that actually.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: What's your favorite stuff from these individuals?
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: So I I wasn't sure if we wanted to go like as morbid as it sounds, like in order of when they died.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: No, I was just thinking like let's remember the good things from each one.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: So honestly.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: Things that like bring us memories or things that we enjoyed with them.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: So my like John was saying, like, would it be easier if we just go in order to talk about each one instead of like jumping around?
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Then Dolly, then Ted.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: Unfortunately, I think that's probably the best way to do this.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: So my my two favorite um projects that Hayden had done was, of course, I don't know why no one mentioned this, but remember The Titans?
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Which was like, if not her first movie, one of her first.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: It was not her first one.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: It was her first, like, I think, live action, but it was not her first overall movie.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: It was it was my I know it was my first introduction to her.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Um here's the thing.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Uh I of what that was your first introduction?
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: Because I think you would have seen the other one before that.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Possibly.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: It's an animated Disney movie.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, what movie?
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: Bug's Life.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, she was in Bugs Life.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: She played Dot.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: She was Dot.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Uh I guess first life action introduction to her, yeah.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Also depends just which one you watched first.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Uh I did see Bugs Life first.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: I saw Bugs Life when I was five.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: I saw Remember the Titans when I was like eight.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Fair enough.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: So.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Um I'll tell you what, uh, because of the subject matter of Remember the Titans, I think her character was one of the most pinnacle characters in the movie.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Just because one, she was just a little girl who loved football, but she loved football so much it didn't matter what the color of your skin was, it was who are you gonna be as a person when you play football.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: That's what she cared about.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: Well, that she was also the narrator.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: She was also the narrator in that too, yeah.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Or at least her character was.
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: But um, I think what her perspective of football was the perspective not only the team but the two coaches had to learn to develop, but she had already developed that.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: She was already like, why are we arguing about skin color and race?
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: This is football, let's talk football, you know?
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I guess on another side thing with that, is it necessarily that she had already developed it, or is that the natural just way that kids are?
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Because you see that in a lot of kids, is before they learn what it is to try and separate things, kids don't care.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: And and that I think that's part I think that's part of the importance of her character is uh is that very statement right there.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Like she for as young as she was when she took up that character, she developed it and she executed it very very fine.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: That even when I saw her later in life in like heroes and like racing strikes and stuff like that, like I I was like, I knew she was a great actress from so young with Remember the Titans because of that character.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: I know, I mean, obviously both of those probably her biggest things, other than maybe Bug's Life.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Just to give a shout out for all of our video game fans.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: I haven't played either of these, but if you're a fan of Kingdom Hearts or Until Dawn, I mean, obviously you know her from both of those.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: Kingdom Hearts, especially.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's such a big video game franchise, her playing Kari, and now Allison Stone are taking up the mantle for that since the last one.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, that's two super well-known people in one of the biggest video game franchises ever.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: Well, that and her TV credit, I think, was more of her bread and butter because Heroes and Nashville were huge when they first when they first came out, and then like, granted, Heroes had its problems later in the seasons, but I'm pretty sure Nashville went on for a while.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Well, Nashville got nomin uh nominated for a bunch of awards too.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: I ne I've never seen Nashville.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: I really feel like I've left I've left out of that.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: I don't think it would have been my cup of tea.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: Heroes, on the other hand, love Heroes season one and season two.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: But I've only seen the first three episodes of Heroes.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, so good.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: The way Cody is with movies, I am with TV shows.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: That's probably fair.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: TV's a lot harder to keep up with, because I mean that's weekly, and then you uh gotta wait until the next season of movie, you show up once and you're good.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, especially with like a busy schedule like I have.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Like it's hard for me to sit down and even binge watch.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, you got me started on WWE and I watch that more frequently than you do.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, dude, because it's hard.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: I watched the highlights for that.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Um what about what about you, Alex, uh, with Hayden?
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: Like I said, Heroes was my first inter Well, no, my first introduction would have been Bug's Life.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: Didn't make the connection until I was in the car uh with Cody on the way to watch our movie that uh we went to last night.
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: Which I guess we should talk about that at the end of this too.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: We'll we'll talk about it in another episode.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: I figured this being kind of a more sad one, this might be the better time to talk about that since that is also kind of like Yeah, I mean we can bring it up, but we could talk about it next episode.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: That's fair.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: But uh so Buck's Life was my first introduction.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: I loved her in Remember the Titans.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: I she gave comedic levity in that movie, being the nine-year-old daughter of Coach Boone, or no, Coach Yost.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: One of the two.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: I can't remember the which coach, but uh giving that and like the innocence of like her being in rural I think it's West Virginia.
- 8:33SPEAKER_02: I can't remember what state.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: That sounds right, but I can't remember.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: No, that's not right, because they went to Gettysburg for camp.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: So it had to be like No, West Virginia is next to Pennsylvania.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Kind of close to yeah, just because just past Pittsburgh is Gettysburg.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: Okay, maybe geographically it could work.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: Okay, well, either way, like showing her innocence and like her devotion to football, and like being that she was the white daughter from the mix first mixed team in that division, and her just focusing only on the football and not basically mirroring everything you said, yeah, and like showing that, like, oh no, this doesn't have to be a learned thing.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: Clearly, it's about football and the people.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: And seeing that comedy relief she brought with the other coach's daughters, because I if I remember correctly, like one of the coach, she was out there playing basketball where they're having a coach's meeting, and the other coach's daughter walks out and she's like, I'm shooting hoops, and like throws the ball, and other girl just steps out of the way.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: I just did my nails.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: So seeing that, but Heroes was like my first like deep dive into her uh filmography, and seeing that show and like what it was promised to do was great.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: And seeing like her powers and whatnot in that show was great.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: Uh I didn't really watch I Love You Beth Cooper.
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: Uh I watched Racing Stripes.
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: Couldn't for it's forgettable to me because I can't remember anything in it.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: I've watched I Love You Beth Cooper.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: I enjoy like the style of comedy that movie is.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: The one we gotta at least shout out is uh her role in Ice Princess, since we've lost unfortunately both of the leads from that movie with Michelle Trachtenberg passing away last year.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I forgot that she was an Ice Princess.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: So she's done a couple Disney projects, she's been in obviously plenty of other things.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, out of all the ones we're talking about today, she was probably taken the soonest, and like unfortunately, was by far the youngest on this list.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: Most definitely.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: Dolly Parton.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: Weirdly enough, my my first exposure to Dolly Parton wasn't her music.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: Same.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: Same.
- 10:59SPEAKER_02: It was a movie called Unlikely Angel.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Uh I've never seen that one.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Uh she's like a dive bar singer who mysteriously passes away, goes to heaven, comes back to earth to help a family as an angel around Christmas time.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: It's like a Hallmark Christmas movie.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: But it was like my first exposure, Dolly Parton.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm different, but I mean mine was definitely her music.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: I grew up on country music.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: My parents listening to more of the older stuff.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: Obviously, whatever was on the radio as well, but like for sure listening to Dolly.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously her biggest hit isn't even most well known for her singing it, but it was her song, which is I Will Always Love You.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: Um my first introduction to Dolly Parton, besides like her commercials for her library stuff that we mentioned earlier, um, honestly was Hannah Montana.
- 11:56unknown: Oh.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Because I'm a big, I'm a big Hannah Montana person.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: And of course I saw the Hannah Montana movie and she shows up in that.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: Um and then she was in Miscogeniality 2.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Two.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: Which was, I was like, okay, Dolly Partner.
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: And then Wasn't she in the Three Ninjas 2?
- 12:17SPEAKER_02: Or am I just like mistaking that?
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: That's I can look that up real quick.
- 12:23SPEAKER_02: Because uh wasn't she in the one with like Hulk Hogan?
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: I feel like there's a kid's movie out there that she was in that kind of had that vibe to it.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: Could not tell you on that one.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: I don't know the three ninjas.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: Uh she I'm also not surprised by that comment.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: I am.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Um, she was not in the three ninjas.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: I uh yeah, but um also uh she also showed up in um I can't remember what I was gonna say anymore.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: You got me on the three ninjas thing, but no.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: I uh if I did hear Dolly Parton's music, it I didn't know it was Dolly Parton until I was like an adult, and then just really just researching classic music, and I was like, oh I know this one, oh I know this one.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Or I've heard this one on the radio, I'm like, oh, this is all Dolly Parton.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: I just I think and then I think it's just because of the generation we grew up in.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: If you weren't listening to country music, you knew her as like a philanthropist and an entrepreneur and stuff like that.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: Yes, well, and I also knew her because I went to Dolly World.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: I still haven't been there.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: Like, it's pretty cool.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Have you been there, Cody?
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: No, not even remotely.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Oh no?
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Not that I wouldn't like to, it's just like that kind of stuff we didn't get out to.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: Like, we've never been to Disney, never been to Dollywood, like any like the biggest amusement park we ever went to was Six Flags.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I've got to be a big thing.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: Have you ever gone to uh I gotta say the political correct term so people don't get mad.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: Just Doll Dolly's Stampede, I think is what they changed the name to.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: Yes, that was previously Dixie Stampede.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: I had no idea what you're talking about.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, I didn't want to say the I mean if you just mentioned previously known as, that way everybody actually knows what you're talking about.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: That's the cabin.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: Then they can't really be mad at you.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: That's fair.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: But yes, we went to the Dixie Stampede once.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: We are we're down at Branson for vacation and went down there for that.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: To be fair, when I was little, did not realize that was associated with Dolly in the slightest.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, you can't.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: Didn't it open with like a video of her though?
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: Oh my, I was like seven when we were down there.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: That's fair.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: That's fair.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I liked both of those attractions from her.
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: I've seen some movies with her in it, but like the music was like the last aspect that I got involved in with that.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: We should we should go to us three should go to Dolly World together.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: Heck yeah.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: I'd go to Dolly World.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: I yeah.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: I just I've never been to Branson, so I That's not in Branson.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: Dolly World, I believe, is in Tennessee.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: Let's do both.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Let's go to Branson, let's go to Tennessee.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: I'm not looking it up.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Dolly Stampede's in Branson.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: Yes, I thought Dolly World was also in Branson.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: No, she kept Dollywood close to home.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Uh either way.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Let's do, hey, you know what?
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Let's do both.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Let's go to Branson, then go to Nashville, then Tennessee, and then we'll hit up Nashville.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: It is, I believe, close to Nashville.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: It's technically in Pigeon Forge.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: Which I believe is like just out of Nashville.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: Any reason for a road trip?
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, fair.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: So um, but yeah, no.
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: Um now, with our next person, she is in a movie with our next person that we're going to talk with, too.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: Tim Curry?
- 15:47SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 15:47SPEAKER_02: What movie is she with?
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: It came out in the late 70s, but it's called Jackie Brown.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: Give me a second.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: That's the uh that's Samuel Jackson one.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: But that's the yeah, see, that's the it's not that.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Here's the thing, before while Cody's looking that up, um, with Tim Curry, I saw this meme that I felt was 100% accurate, so I'm gonna ask you guys this question.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: It said, I judge people only by how they know Tim Curry.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Because he had such a broad dynamic of acting and movies.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: I was like, man, that is a good way to judge people.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Like, how do you know Tim Curry?
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: So, so Cody, how do you know Tim Curry?
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: I mean, for me, it's Scooby-Doo.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: Like, 100%.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: That's the first thing, and mostly what I've seen him.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: That or uh the Mighty Ducks cartoon as one of those two.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Those are like the two most random.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, get dude, get this.
- 16:53SPEAKER_02: He has three credits in Gar for Gargoyles, Batman the Animated series, and Batman Beyond.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah?
- 17:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: No, I I didn't know that.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: I knew Gargoyles because he's Dr.
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: Savarius.
- 17:09SPEAKER_02: I did know that one.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: But like, those weren't my first well, I guess they would have been my first, but I didn't recognize it.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: My first, like, true remembrance of Tim Curry, it's either I can I can't remember which one came out first, but it's either Home Alone 2 as the concierge, or Congo, where he's Dr.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: Homulka.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: So if you were to ask me, like, how do I know Tim Curry?
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: It would be uh Muppet Treasure Island.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: As long as Blackbeard, Long John.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: I thought he was Blackbeard.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: No, it's Treasure Island.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: Treasure Island's Long John.
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Fair, I guess.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Either way, yeah, no, yeah, it's Long John Silver.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: That's how I know Tim Curry.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: This is fair.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: That and um Scurry Movie.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: Yes, what I know as well, just not like my first, like, what I think of with him.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: We're also missing like two of his biggest movies.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, for sure.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: That's one of them.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Rocky Horror Picture Show?
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, two.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: I've never seen Rocky Horror Picture Show.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: That's fair.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: Like, I've seen it.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: I mean Cody had the same belief in it.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: Where I we think it works better as a play than it does a movie.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, really?
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: I watched I watched the movie first at William Woods because they do a thing every year to where they do the whole, you know, you spray the water, you throw the toe, all the like little bits that people have come up with for it throughout the years.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: They show it every year at William Woods to do that.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: I watched it there and I could not get into it to an extent that like I started doing my homework in the middle of it.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: Oh shoot.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: But then uh me and my ex-fiance went to uh Indianapolis to see her uncle's partner in a live action version of it.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: I say live action, a stage play version of it.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: Live action.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: And I was It kept my attention a lot better than what the movie did.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: Now, I still don't fully get Rocky Horror.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: It's not for me.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: It's on my list this year for um my horror movie Marathon in October.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna go watch it.
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: Have you I know the answer from Cody what this is, but have you watched Legend?
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, hold on.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: That sounds familiar.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Hey, don't hit the table, anyways.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Anyway, the movie.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: I keep hearing thuds in my iPhones.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what are those thubs?
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: And I saw you hit the table, and I was like, oh, it's Alex.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: While John's looking up Legend, the movie.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: No, I haven't seen Legend when he's the devil.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: Yes, he's the devil.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: No, I keep seeing clips and bits of clips of it.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: I haven't seen it yet.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: Great devil.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: I've seen clips of him playing dark.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: I think it's called like the darkness.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Um fantastic.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: Fantastic acting.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: But like, no, I I haven't seen that movie yet.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: I need to.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: The movie Alex was talking about that him and Dolly appeared in together is Jackie's Back.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: Jackie's back.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: I haven't seen that one.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: I don't know if it was a big one.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: I also know he also was in a movie with Hayden Panateer where they were actually father and daughter.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: They were in uh Scooby-Doo the Goblin King.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: So, yes, another Scooby-Doo movie.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: You're you're a big Scooby-Doo guy.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: He's in Stu Scooby Doo.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: He's like my favorite cartoon ever.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, how can we forget it?
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: Also, yes, that is one of his big ones.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: The weird thing with it is when you look it up, like it was only two episodes of a miniseries, but obviously Pennywise is a very pivotal character for a lot of people.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: I need to take back my answer.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: It's not a scary movie, I know him from.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: It's not.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: It's Muppet Treasure Island and Home Alone 2.
- 20:47SPEAKER_02: I said Home Alone 2.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: But for some reason it didn't process my mind until I saw it on his like filmography.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Home Alone 2, Muppet Treasure Island, those are my two go-to Tim Curry movies.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: He was in Annie?
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Like the original.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, 1982.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: Dude, I didn't know he was in Hunt for Red October.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Somebody was like, oh yeah, I loved him in Hunt for Red October.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: I'm like, who the heck was he in Hunt for Red October?
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: Oh, dude, he's in so much stuff.
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: Like I said, I didn't realize he was in Batman Beyond and Batman the Animated series.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: I did not, okay.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: I did not know this until like five years ago.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: He voiced Nigel on Wild Thornberries.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was another big movie left.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: I had no idea until someone mentioned it, and I was I thought about it and I was like, holy crap, that was that was a step past.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: I also had to change mind to be Wild Thornberries is one.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I just when I think Tim Curry's voice, I keep forgetting that is Nigel, but it has to be one that it's like, yeah, I know him from Wild Thornberries for sure.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, and get this.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: Me and Cody didn't put this connection until recently.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Recently, too.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: Did you know that he had an impossible task to take over a character after someone had passed in its franchise?
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Was it Star Wars as Palpatine?
- 22:12SPEAKER_02: No.
- 22:12SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: No, I don't know that.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: He took over as Gomez and Adam's family after Raul Julia had passed.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, wasn't that for like a short stit, though?
- 22:24SPEAKER_02: It was a short stitch, but he had to like take over after Raul Julia.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, I did know that.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: I think it's Reunion was the one we Yes.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: It was just one of it was like the one movie after Raul had passed.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Which, honestly, like, that could not have been an easy new, no.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: No, not after Raul Julia.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: But like, I'd love him in Congo.
- 22:46SPEAKER_02: Dr.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: Mooka.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: He's the best.
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: Eating Masesame Cake.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: He just like keeps eating.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: He's like, I said stop eating.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: That's another movie Cody needs to watch is Congo.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: I have it on my PlayStation right now.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Shoot.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Let me know when you guys are doing that because I want to- I haven't seen that movie in years.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I want to watch it.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Which Bruce Campbell's in that for like ten seconds.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: Ten seconds.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And his eyeballs, his eyeballs in it for longer than ten seconds.
- 23:17SPEAKER_02: That's not his eyeball.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Thought it was.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: It's the other guys.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Let's just watch him figure it out.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: Plus Tim Curry.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, but.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I was just sitting here thinking, like, his voice acting credits, I think, for me show more for Tim Curry than the actual live action versions that he portrayed, just because I've seen so much more of his VA work.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, I'd probably be on the same boat.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: I didn't watch nearly as much of his live action work as I did his animated stuff in general.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: Tim Curry is one of those names for me, like, I know of him, I know how big his name is, but like I just never saw his stuff for the most part.
- 24:06SPEAKER_02: Which is fair because like a lot of his a lot of his stuff's a bit older.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:12SPEAKER_02: So for us, like his animated work would have been like in our realm at the time of us developing these.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: But well, uh Peter is next.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Uh I Colin, that's what's his last name.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: I forgot he was Eeyore.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: So talk about just our childhood.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: From from Tim Curry to Hayden to Eeyore just just being gone.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: As crazy.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously, if people don't know, I mean, Peter's biggest thing is he is and is almost the only person to ever be Optimus Prime.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: He will always be known as Optimus Prime.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: I will say, as far as the character of Optimus Prime goes, I do think Chris Hemsworth did a great job voicing as a young Optimus Prime.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: Surprisingly, I have seen that movie.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: It's a great movie.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: I'm not even mad at that.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: That's a great movie.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: And I would agree.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: For somebody else to take up that role, I do think that Hemsworth did a phenomenal job.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Well, he does have that strong deep voice that Peter had, but it it it is a less mature deep voice, and for it to be the beginning of Optimus and Megatron, I was like, Yeah, that makes sense.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: I know this might sound a little bit bad, but I kind of hope that Peter Cullen's estate and his family, if they're if they will allow it or feel like it's appropriate, to kind of do the Vader contract that James Earl Jones has just for Optimus Prime.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: To where that character means a lot to a lot of people.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: And he's always voiced, he's always voiced that that character was never his.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: He's always given the credit to his brother, Larry.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: So with that like in mind and how it's always kind of been permeating as like a good leader for the character and like how he represented it, just to continue that on would do him a service and continue that legacy forward.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: I know another one of his roles that I don't know if a lot of people realize is him.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: He was also Monterey Jack in Chippendale.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: Rescue Rangers.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: That was him.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: I had to think about that for a minute.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: That's I didn't know that.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: I thought you were going to tell me he was in another like Scooby-Doo.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: No.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: Honestly, I whenever Cody told me that, I immediately thought he that that wasn't right.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: It was the dude that voiced uh Winnie the Pooh and uh all the all the other stuff that that guy has done.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: I thought, no, that was modern Ajack, right?
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: And then nope.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: Chip and Dale.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: I um I thought it was really cool also when in 2007 they started doing the live-action Transformers movies, how they I don't know if they asked him or if he went to them, but how they kept him as the voice of Meg uh Megatron Optimus Prime throughout all those movies.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: And uh I mean it's just it's iconic.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: Well, and then for the third one.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: Was it the third or fourth one?
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: I think it's the I think it was after the original trilogy.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: I don't know specifically if it was the fourth.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Uh after the original trilogy, they brought back the original voice of Megatron.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: Which is, if people don't know, that's Frank Welker, who the other biggest thing you probably know him from is he is the voice of Fred in Scooby-Doo.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: He's Fred?
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: This is like nine degrees of Scooby-Doo.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 28:16SPEAKER_02: Unlike the nine, like the Well, and they also brought Peter Collin and Fred Welker for Invincible.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: And I want to say that was Fred, one of Fred Welker's last voice acting credits was for uh the leader of Viltrum that Thaetus.
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: I mean, Frank's still doing stuff.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: Oh, he is?
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: I thought Fred Welker was the one that passed away too.
- 28:38SPEAKER_02: No, Frank Welker.
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 28:41SPEAKER_02: My bad.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: Never mind.
- 28:43SPEAKER_02: Don't listen to that.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: No, he's still alive.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: All information, utmost confidence.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: We I don't think we ever did our actual intro.
- 28:52SPEAKER_02: No, but this episode's a little bit different.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a little different.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Well, thanks for that plug.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: You're welcome.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: Because we're probably saying so many wrong things right now.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: They're like, Tim Curry wasn't in Home Alone 2, but dang it.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: Ah, I messed that up.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: It was Home Alone 3.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: Which this has nothing to do with anything, but I didn't know Scarlett Johansson was in Home Alone 3.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: Is she the mom?
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: No, she's one of the criminals.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: That's the one with the RC car, right?
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so, yeah.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: The thing is, like, Scarlett Johansson's like my future wife.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: So.
- 29:29SPEAKER_02: She's also married to uh Colin Joseph.
- 29:33SPEAKER_02: Colin Jokes.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so she obviously likes funny guys, and I'm a funny guy.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Logic is logic.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: I got at least one thing going for me.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: And I'm goofy looking.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: So and it is math.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: I'm basically uh there.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: Anyways, that has nothing to do with anything.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Just you said I I made that home alone joke that made me think of that.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Was Dolly Parton in Scooby-Doo at all?
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: I thought she was.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: There was I assume like in the older, like I don't know what they were called at that time, but when they were doing a lot of crossover stuff with just random celebrities, I would assume she was at least in one of those.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: Like someone that brought in the like 1960s version of Batman and Robin.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and the trotters and all that.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I assume she probably did something then.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, because I know Kiss was in Scooby-Doo.
- 30:27SPEAKER_02: So was Elvira was in a bunch of them.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: Was Delit Parton in Scooby-Doo?
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: Uh no.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: She was never in an episode of Scooby-Doo.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Wow, that's oh, really?
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: I would have never thought of that.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: I would have known.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: If if you were to tell me to put like$20 down if she was or wasn't, I would have been like, yeah, she definitely was.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Everyone's been in Scooby-Doo.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Wasn't she in a cartoon?
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: Like a guest in current Was that Phineas and Ferb?
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: No.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: I know you're I know she wasn't.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Like, am I am I crazy?
- 31:00SPEAKER_02: So I want to say Tim Curry was in Phineas and Ferb for, I think, one episode or two episodes that me and Cody looked at.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: Phineas and Ferb is like the new Scooby-Doo.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: Uh as far as like who's bit who's been in it and the pop culture.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: I think I wouldn't have to be a good one.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: Sorry, Big Family Guy has also done the same amount of cameos.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: That's a little different.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: It is a little different.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: I mean, she's in another show that just about everybody's been in at this point.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: The Muppets?
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: No.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: Sesame Street Simpsons.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's honestly, I think that's what I'm thinking of.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: It's very likely.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Huh.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: That's who hasn't been in The Simpsons.
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: That's kind of my point.
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: Everybody's in The Simpsons.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: So while we're talking about uh diseased, deceased, not diseased, deceased icons, um, you guys saw a movie yesterday that was that was created from a legendary actor and fighter, professional fighter.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: Um, which was Legends of the White Dragon.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: I think it's just legend, but yeah, basically.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: By uh Jason David Frank.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: So me and Cody are big Jason David Frank fans, and we were big fans of like Power Rangers and like their past work.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: I'm a huge JDF fan.
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: He's he's a Power Ranger no matter what time it is.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: He's always gonna be a Power Ranger.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: It's always morphine time.
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: And that m he what 2002 or 2022?
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's when they finished filming on.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: Or no, are you talking when he passed or no, the well, I guess it's kind of both.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: I think it is about both.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: I think that's when they finished filming, and I think that's the same year that he passed, unfortunately.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: And during that time, like me and Cody weren't able to do this, but we found out about the movie.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the the sadness happened, and after that time, the other producer of the movie started a Kickstarter, GoFundMe, to uh push to have his last role as in this Power Ranger-ish, and I put that in air quotes world to be shown in the movie theater.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: And finally they got enough and were able to push it, and it finally came out uh last Friday.
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: And me and Cody went down to see it.
- 33:31SPEAKER_02: It was a limited release, but uh overall for a budget of four million dollars, and Jason David Frank being able to show his actual talents as an actor is great.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: Does he uh does it show a lot of his talents as a fighter as well?
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Because he had like so many black belts.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: Uh yes and no.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: Sort of like there's definitely fight scenes in it.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: They could have been done better, especially being from Bat in the Sun, them being known for fight scenes.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: That is one of the things that I expected to be better were the fight scenes, and a lot of them were just felt kind of lackluster.
- 34:10SPEAKER_02: Well, I wonder if they planned, and I don't mean to sound morbid on this, I wonder if they planned to go back and reshoot some.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: It's very possible.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, do we want to spoil kind of what happens at the end, not the actual ending of it?
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: No, well, we could we could talk more about the movie.
- 34:28SPEAKER_01: We'll discuss that in another episode.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, unfortunately, this was JDF's last ever project.
- 34:38SPEAKER_02: It was super super surreal and sad at the beginning and the end of this movie.
- 34:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 34:45SPEAKER_02: And uh his daughter, like at the beginning of the film, is they had a short scene with his daughter, and she explained a lot about JDF and like his passion for this project, and how to he himself wanted to push it further than what it was initially going to be, and he wanted it to succeed and do better.
- 35:09SPEAKER_02: And that was a surreal moment, and then the end was uh very ear jerky on what they did.
- 35:17SPEAKER_02: Because for the Kickstarter, if you donate or contribute to it, you got your name in the film.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so cool.
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: But instead of like the normal like scroll down, they put it to the side, and what they did was is they cut together a bunch of b-roll of behind the scenes footage of Jason David Frank interacting with the cast, like some blue version.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: Like it was very set, like it was happy, set, like it was all the emotions you can think of to see his like passion project.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean if you're going into it to watch it as we expect to it.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: This is just a Jason David Frank movie, you're gonna enjoy it.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: It's a great tribute to him and what he was about.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: If you're going into it for like looking at it critically for a movie, you'll find the issues in it.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: But if you just go into it looking for one last ride, you're getting a good one.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: And like, the reason this was a passion project he wasn't allowed to do an origin an original Power Rangers IP because Hasbro wouldn't let him.
- 36:32SPEAKER_02: So he did this to try to push the idea.
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 36:37SPEAKER_02: But unfortunately, it's this is just a sad episode that we have to talk about.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, but it's it's just life.
- 36:46SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: So do you need do you have anything else to add?
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: I I don't, honestly.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: Um just glad that we could always remember these people through their projects.
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: That's fair.
- 37:02SPEAKER_02: And remember them in the good times.
- 37:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: So anything else, Cody?
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: No, I don't think I got anything else to add, you know.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: I guess the only thing would be, especially on the JDF side, check in on your people.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: Mental health matters.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 37:20SPEAKER_02: I do have one thing.
- 37:21SPEAKER_02: I just remembered.
- 37:22SPEAKER_02: Weirdly enough, there's another semi-big name actor in uh Legend of the White Dragon.
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: Do you remember?
- 37:29SPEAKER_02: I do not know his real name.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: Did you watch Arrow?
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: No.
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 37:36SPEAKER_02: Anyway, there's an actor from Arrow this from the CW show.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: And he did really good too.
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: So, like for a movie role.
- 37:44SPEAKER_02: I thought it was real done pretty well.
- 37:47SPEAKER_02: Uh, David Ramsey.
- 37:49SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 37:49SPEAKER_02: Don't know who that is.
- 37:50SPEAKER_02: It's John Diggle and Arrow.
- 37:52SPEAKER_02: If anybody else didn't know the actual name and wanted to know the character name.
- 37:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:57SPEAKER_02: But uh we are gonna sign off on this episode, but we are gonna do it a little bit different to remember these individuals.
- 38:06SPEAKER_02: So, John, do you want to do yours?
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Yes, since we always end with a quote, um, we each picked a quote, and I have my quote is probably my favorite one from Peter Collin.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: It's at the end of Transformers uh Rise of the Fallen.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: And it's Optimus Prime saying, our race is united by a history long forgotten and a future we shall face together.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message so that our past will always be remembered, for in those memories we live on.
- 38:42SPEAKER_01: That's a pretty good one for him, to be fair.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: There's not a lot of bad options from Optimus.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: No, there's not.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: I mean uh give one of my favorite Tim Curry.
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm a huge, obviously, Scooby-Doo fan, so I mean, one of his most iconic, if you're a Scooby fan, is dreadful darkness, hear my cry, bring back one who cannot die.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: Nice.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna say one of my favorite Hayden Pantier quotes, and it's let's knock them dead at stake, coach.
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: That's nice.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: That's great.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: Love it.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:13SPEAKER_02: But I'm Alex, I'm Cody, I'm John, and we're here working, making a making a living nine to five.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: What a way to make a living.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: What a way.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: See guys.
