- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten woor Filling
- 0:05Speaker 1: in for Mark, here's Ken Rosatto.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Oh hello, hello, marcusov today enjoying a long weekend, Former
- 0:12Speaker 2: New York City TV news anchor Ken Rosato reported for
- 0:15Speaker 2: duty as I stand and salute you all, fellow lover
- 0:18Speaker 2: of seven ten WR and certainly big time lover of
- 0:22Speaker 2: the Mark Simone Show, my favorite darn radio show ever.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I listen every single day, and it's good to be
- 0:28Speaker 2: here sitting in for the great Mark Simone, the winner
- 0:31Speaker 2: of the Big Barrett Media Award. Congratulations again, mister Simone. Sir,
- 0:36Speaker 2: you probably best remember me from the twenty years that
- 0:38Speaker 2: I spent anchoring the Morning Show, and a good chunk
- 0:40Speaker 2: of those years the Noon Show two over Channel seven.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I did Good Day New York at Channel five before that,
- 0:46Speaker 2: just a lot of good years in New York TV.
- 0:49Speaker 2: These days, I host a daily show on a New
- 0:51Speaker 2: Jersey based TV news channel called on New Jersey. You
- 0:55Speaker 2: could stream it live or I watch it reruns ATNNJ
- 0:59Speaker 2: dot COMNNJ dot com. People saying, what do you mean stream,
- 1:04Speaker 2: Go on your phone and open the browser and go
- 1:06Speaker 2: Ohnenja dot com and you can see it. Good to
- 1:08Speaker 2: be here with you and having fun here on a Friday.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We got a lot to talk about. Our phone lines
- 1:13Speaker 2: are open. We want to hear from you, to take
- 1:15Speaker 2: part in our conversation. And the number is eight hundred
- 1:18Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten. Eight hundred three two
- 1:23Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Well, it looks like we're finally
- 1:25Speaker 2: out of the heat wave. Most of the tri State's
- 1:28Speaker 2: going to be what mid eighties today. You could feel
- 1:30Speaker 2: it though it's drier when you walk outside, it doesn't
- 1:33Speaker 2: feel sticky and heavy. Still have the smoke not as
- 1:36Speaker 2: bad as yesterday. Yesterday it was awful. Just you know,
- 1:40Speaker 2: today just feels so much lighter out if you will,
- 1:43Speaker 2: And it was, but I know a lot of people,
- 1:45Speaker 2: even with mild asthma, had real bad conditions this week.
- 1:49Speaker 2: And we're really impacted by the smoke. But the air
- 1:52Speaker 2: quality once again is considered we have an air quality alert,
- 1:56Speaker 2: so it's considered not good for sensitive groups today courtesy
- 2:00Speaker 2: of the Canadian wildfire smoke. And I'm finally starting to
- 2:04Speaker 2: see online people responding to Canada. Now, what do I
- 2:09Speaker 2: mean by that? You'd say, can It's an active nature.
- 2:12Speaker 2: What are you gonna do? No? No, I mean proper
- 2:15Speaker 2: forest management can significantly stop or reduce wildfires significantly. Okay,
- 2:26Speaker 2: they do it in states like Florida. Again, Florida. Kent's
- 2:30Speaker 2: always talking about Florida. Yeah, you know the when we
- 2:32Speaker 2: have the everglas say, I say, week as I live
- 2:34Speaker 2: there part time, when we have we have prescribed burns
- 2:37Speaker 2: in the Everglades, and that minimizes wildfires for like a
- 2:42Speaker 2: day or two in the driest of dry times in
- 2:45Speaker 2: January February, which down there is very very dry, you'll
- 2:48Speaker 2: have a prescribed burn. Sometimes they'll have a larger burn
- 2:52Speaker 2: and for a day you'll get some smoke that wafts,
- 2:55Speaker 2: you know, to the west or whatever. That's it, and
- 2:57Speaker 2: then it goes away and everything's controlled. You need to
- 3:01Speaker 2: kill off, burn off, carbonize if you will, the dying
- 3:06Speaker 2: or dead trees, because that's fuel. Somebody explained it to
- 3:10Speaker 2: me once when I was coming up in science class
- 3:12Speaker 2: in high school that trees are like giant solar cells
- 3:17Speaker 2: and batteries. They absorb all the energy from the sun
- 3:20Speaker 2: trap it in the form of carbon. If you burn it,
- 3:23Speaker 2: it basically is releasing the trapped energy from the sun.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It's a good way to look at it. Well, of
- 3:28Speaker 2: course the left. The left is calling it climate change.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It's all climate change, because you know, before climate change,
- 3:35Speaker 2: we never had wildfires. The earth was like on fire
- 3:38Speaker 2: ten million years ago. I don't know what they're talking about,
- 3:41Speaker 2: but it helps boost their argument, or at least they
- 3:45Speaker 2: think so. Those of us who have brains and think
- 3:48Speaker 2: realize they're full of crap. Wildfires have always happened throughout
- 3:52Speaker 2: the history of the Earth. They will always happen as humans.
- 3:56Speaker 2: All we have the power to do is to control
- 3:59Speaker 2: or minimize them a little bit. Now we do it
- 4:02Speaker 2: in much of the United States. But Canada in the
- 4:05Speaker 2: last few years has decided to stop managing their forests.
- 4:09Speaker 2: They stopped allowing the people from the paper mills and
- 4:14Speaker 2: whatnot from harvesting trees, which thinned forest quite a bit.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They stopped clearing out underbrush in major national forests. And
- 4:23Speaker 2: then all you need is a good hit of lightning
- 4:26Speaker 2: or somebody who very accidentally, I don't say it's intentional,
- 4:28Speaker 2: but somebody goes camping and they don't put out a
- 4:31Speaker 2: fire properly, or an ember flickers up from their campfire,
- 4:35Speaker 2: and before you know it, you have trees going up
- 4:37Speaker 2: all over the place. When I was a reporter. I
- 4:41Speaker 2: used to work for the CBS owned station in Miami
- 4:44Speaker 2: nineteen ninety eight to two thousand and two. I remember
- 4:46Speaker 2: covering a story in the Everglades around the year ninety nine,
- 4:49Speaker 2: I guess it was, and I was wearing a I
- 4:53Speaker 2: just had my white like a white dress shirt and
- 4:56Speaker 2: a tie on, and because it was so hot was
- 4:59Speaker 2: the Everglades, and I remember standing about one hundred and
- 5:02Speaker 2: fifty feet from what is called a mala luca tree.
- 5:05Speaker 2: If you live in in the South, you know what
- 5:07Speaker 2: a mala luca tree is.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Up here.
- 5:09Speaker 2: It's kind of a it's a pine tree. Basically, it's
- 5:11Speaker 2: a type of Southern pine. Pine trees are loaded with
- 5:14Speaker 2: pine tar and pine oil, so they're extremely flammable. All
- 5:18Speaker 2: you need is a spark, and literally it's like putting
- 5:21Speaker 2: a spark on a can of gasoline. Until you see
- 5:24Speaker 2: it go up, you can't believe anything go up this fast.
- 5:26Speaker 2: It just goes like that, like a hundred foot tree
- 5:30Speaker 2: in a second could go from zero to a million,
- 5:34Speaker 2: just right up in flames. And I remember doing a
- 5:37Speaker 2: report and I had fire couple of hundred feet behind
- 5:40Speaker 2: me and one direction couple of feet hundred feet behind
- 5:43Speaker 2: me in another direction, and the camera shot was wide,
- 5:45Speaker 2: and the cameraman saw some embers come start blowing in
- 5:50Speaker 2: our direction. Up to that point, the wind was blowing
- 5:53Speaker 2: away from me. Suddenly it was blowing toward me. While
- 5:56Speaker 2: I was live on the air, and while I was
- 5:59Speaker 2: live by the air in the middle the report, the
- 6:01Speaker 2: maluluca tree fifty seventy five feet behind me went straight up. Thankfully.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I was wrapping my report and the minute I got
- 6:09Speaker 2: done speaking, I ran and I rolled on the floor.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I could feel my shirt was on fire. It was
- 6:16Speaker 2: it was not burning hot, but it was smoking. It
- 6:19Speaker 2: was smoldering. I scorched the hair in the back of
- 6:22Speaker 2: my head and I felt how hot it was. The
- 6:25Speaker 2: point of trying to make is all you need is
- 6:27Speaker 2: a little tiny ember, and then you have the fuel
- 6:31Speaker 2: in the trees and the whole forest could go up.
- 6:33Speaker 2: That's why you have to manage your forests. Canada stopped
- 6:37Speaker 2: doing it in about twenty twenty one twenty twenty two
- 6:40Speaker 2: under the most liberal regime Trudeau, and then it's been
- 6:44Speaker 2: carried on to this day. The liberals don't believe in
- 6:47Speaker 2: touching anything environmental, let it be on natural et cetera,
- 6:49Speaker 2: et cetera, et cetera. Well, you have to manage things
- 6:53Speaker 2: that are in the wild. If you have civilization nearby,
- 6:56Speaker 2: that doesn't mean you're harming the wild. Like if you
- 6:59Speaker 2: have a dog as a pet, you're not harming the
- 7:02Speaker 2: dog by grooming it. In fact, if you don't groom it,
- 7:05Speaker 2: it can get sick. And that's kind of the way
- 7:07Speaker 2: it is with wildfires and forests. So in twenty twenty three,
- 7:11Speaker 2: do you know how much carbon was released into the
- 7:14Speaker 2: atmosphere by Canada because of their wildfires? All those environmentals
- 7:17Speaker 2: who talk about, oh, stop emitting carbon. The US admits
- 7:20Speaker 2: so much carbon in it and it hurts our environment. Canada,
- 7:25Speaker 2: because of its wildfires, released seven hundred million metric tons
- 7:30Speaker 2: of carbon, making it the third largest polluter from any
- 7:36Speaker 2: country in the world. That was, in twenty twenty three
- 7:39Speaker 2: the third largest polluter, and I think the first or
- 7:42Speaker 2: second was because of volcanic eruptions somewhere else. The point
- 7:46Speaker 2: I'm trying to make is that was pretty preventable, or
- 7:49Speaker 2: at least it could have been significantly less had they
- 7:51Speaker 2: just managed their forests. And I want to know what
- 7:54Speaker 2: point do Americans get to sue Canadians because of their
- 7:58Speaker 2: lack of forest management, because of our asthma attacks, days
- 8:02Speaker 2: people had to take off from work, polluting the environment,
- 8:05Speaker 2: dirtying up the soil, having to stay indoors when we
- 8:08Speaker 2: should be outdoors doing something. How about taking away the
- 8:11Speaker 2: few days of summer that we get ninety days of
- 8:14Speaker 2: summer and a lot of us have to stay indoors
- 8:16Speaker 2: down and can enjoy our summer days courtesy of our
- 8:18Speaker 2: liberal friends to the north. Yet immediately the Prime Minister
- 8:22Speaker 2: of Canada speaking in French. By the way, I noticed
- 8:25Speaker 2: he did that on purpose. He was speaking in French,
- 8:27Speaker 2: not in English, so that the sound bites wouldn't be
- 8:30Speaker 2: translated and played in English. He talked about the fact
- 8:34Speaker 2: that it's the US being the number one global warming contributor,
- 8:38Speaker 2: which is not true. By the way, India, Russia and
- 8:41Speaker 2: China we fall way down on the list. They are
- 8:45Speaker 2: the biggest contributors of carbon etc. Into the atmosphere, not us.
- 8:49Speaker 2: But he started to blame us right away. It's like, dude,
- 8:51Speaker 2: we don't have wildfires blowing smoke up your backside, so
- 8:54Speaker 2: don't blame us for this. In fact, when you consider
- 8:58Speaker 2: all the evs and the clean vehicle and the fact
- 9:01Speaker 2: that we switched to LED bulbs and whatnot. We've done
- 9:03Speaker 2: a lot to conserve. So Canada, shut your mouth, clean
- 9:07Speaker 2: up your forest, spend some money. All my Canadian friends
- 9:09Speaker 2: no offense. But like every one of my Canadian friends
- 9:12Speaker 2: is as cheap as could be. I'm not saying all
- 9:13Speaker 2: Canadians are cheap, but like I have twelve Canadian friends
- 9:18Speaker 2: who it's like they all have crocodile arms. You know,
- 9:20Speaker 2: when it comes to paying the building, I can't reach
- 9:25Speaker 2: my wallet. Ken, Yeah, all right, I don't know, Ken,
- 9:28Speaker 2: the Canadian dollar is worth a lot less.
- 9:30Speaker 3: That's why.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Seven ten w r the voice of New York Ken
- 9:34Speaker 2: Rosatto win from Mark on a Friday. Did you hear
- 9:37Speaker 2: about the lunatic who broke into The Today Show's studio
- 9:41Speaker 2: thirty Rock yesterday? He was apparently looking for Al Roker, who,
- 9:44Speaker 2: by the way, is one of the sweetest men ever
- 9:45Speaker 2: to walk the earth. Al Roker is a great guy.
- 9:48Speaker 2: This lunatic could not find him. Instead came across the
- 9:53Speaker 2: co anchor of the show, Craig Melvin, is also a
- 9:55Speaker 2: very very nice guy, saw him on the set. So
- 9:58Speaker 2: this guy made it to this set, shouted some kind
- 10:00Speaker 2: of racial slur at Craig, and then thankfully NYPD officers
- 10:05Speaker 2: got wind of this guy because listen on the set,
- 10:08Speaker 2: you think that there were like fifty people there aren't.
- 10:10Speaker 2: There's like a floor manager, maybe a director or a
- 10:13Speaker 2: producer who's wandering around, and then the on air people.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It's really not like an army of people. So you know,
- 10:20Speaker 2: somebody shouldn't be there, and somebody must have spotted this
- 10:23Speaker 2: guy called the police, and the police came up. There's
- 10:25Speaker 2: so many police outside thirty Rock well, so apparently they
- 10:28Speaker 2: got this guy. He said he came to see to
- 10:32Speaker 2: find al Roker. We don't know why. He's identified as
- 10:36Speaker 2: Andrew Truelove. They say he was not armed. Police believe
- 10:40Speaker 2: he got in through a stairwell. So in light of
- 10:44Speaker 2: what's happening with Savannah Guthrie and her mom, you would
- 10:47Speaker 2: think that there would be cops crawling all over thirty
- 10:50Speaker 2: Rock to make sure a stranger can't get in through
- 10:51Speaker 2: a stairwell. But now hopefully security has stepped up there
- 10:55Speaker 2: and thankfully nobody was hurt. But Craig did have to
- 10:58Speaker 2: miss the beginning of the third hour of Today because
- 11:04Speaker 2: he was dealing with this guy, so thankfully Craig Melvin,
- 11:08Speaker 2: he's a big guy. By the way, I would not
- 11:09Speaker 2: go up and say anything to Greig Melvin because I
- 11:12Speaker 2: think Craig Melvin could have knocked this guy out. But
- 11:14Speaker 2: you don't want anyone put in that circumstance. When I
- 11:16Speaker 2: was at Channel seven, I remember we had I can't
- 11:18Speaker 2: get into details about security, but let's just say there
- 11:22Speaker 2: was a lot of it, okay, and it's thankfully there
- 11:26Speaker 2: is armed security at all the TV stations and TV
- 11:28Speaker 2: networks inside too, and usually they surround the set. There's
- 11:32Speaker 2: always a couple of people with weapons in the event
- 11:36Speaker 2: something like this happens, thankfully, and then of course NYPD
- 11:40Speaker 2: is usually near the outside perimeter of the stations, and
- 11:44Speaker 2: thankfully they were there very fast. But this could have
- 11:46Speaker 2: been a disaster, a total tragedy, and we just have
- 11:49Speaker 2: to keep vigilant at all times. Seven ten w R
- 11:53Speaker 2: the Voice of New York. This is Ken Rizotto and
- 11:54Speaker 2: from Mark on a Friday Trump administration last night. Did
- 11:58Speaker 2: you hear the speech? Wh did you watch it? I
- 12:01Speaker 2: think it was disgraceful that several of the networks chose
- 12:04Speaker 2: not to air any of it, and then you had
- 12:07Speaker 2: like CBS airing part of it, and then they came
- 12:09Speaker 2: out early and MS. Now, to their credit, they aired
- 12:13Speaker 2: a chunk of it, bits and pieces of it at least.
- 12:17Speaker 2: But you know, when you think back to the Obama administration,
- 12:20Speaker 2: the Biden administration, there was only one time when the
- 12:23Speaker 2: networks chose not to air something from the Obama administration,
- 12:27Speaker 2: and the reason was because it was the night that
- 12:29Speaker 2: all the networks were supposed to debut their prime time
- 12:32Speaker 2: fall lineup of programming and they were worried it would
- 12:35Speaker 2: impact their ratings. So I believe what they did was
- 12:37Speaker 2: they delay broadcast the president's speech, but they still aired it.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Never has there been a president that the networks have
- 12:44Speaker 2: treated with so much disrespect, and they, well, ken it's
- 12:48Speaker 2: our duty. We shouldn't broadcast the lies of this president.
- 12:51Speaker 2: It's not for you to judge that. You can air
- 12:54Speaker 2: the president's speech and then later if you want to
- 12:57Speaker 2: fact check them, fact check them him speak, it's America.
- 13:02Speaker 2: And then don't be surprised if the FCC comes in
- 13:04Speaker 2: and says, you know what, you are not serving the
- 13:06Speaker 2: public interest. Remember, those broadcast licenses belong to you and
- 13:11Speaker 2: me as citizens. They don't belong to the TV networks
- 13:13Speaker 2: and stations. The TV networks and stations own the buildings
- 13:18Speaker 2: or the equipment and pay the salaries of the individuals
- 13:21Speaker 2: on the air to broadcast on channel two, four, five, seven, nine, eleven, thirteen,
- 13:26Speaker 2: et cetera. To actually transmit a signal. That is a
- 13:30Speaker 2: license that you are granted on an interim basis to
- 13:34Speaker 2: be renewed every seven years. And if the FCC deems
- 13:38Speaker 2: that you are not serving the public interest and someone
- 13:40Speaker 2: else can do it better, you lose your license. It
- 13:42Speaker 2: has nothing to do with being Republican or Democrat. You
- 13:45Speaker 2: have to best serve the public interest because there is
- 13:47Speaker 2: a limited amount, as a small pool of licenses available.
- 13:51Speaker 2: So if someone else can do a better job, just
- 13:52Speaker 2: because your channel seven, have you been on the air
- 13:54Speaker 2: for seventy five years or whatever, doesn't mean someone else
- 13:57Speaker 2: might not do a better job. And I'm not trying
- 13:58Speaker 2: to sing a lot seven, by the way, I'm talking
- 14:00Speaker 2: about four or five, two, whatever, It doesn't matter the channel.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I'm just mentioning seven because I used to work there
- 14:05Speaker 2: and had a great time there. By the way, but
- 14:08Speaker 2: you need to understand that those are public licenses and
- 14:13Speaker 2: they are subject to FCC review. Now, it doesn't work
- 14:17Speaker 2: in a sense that the FCC can proactively take away
- 14:19Speaker 2: your license. It has to be subject to members of
- 14:22Speaker 2: the public complaining. Once people come up and complain, then
- 14:26Speaker 2: the SEC responds they can't proactively and preemptively stop you
- 14:30Speaker 2: from doing something, because then that's squashing freedom of speech,
- 14:34Speaker 2: et cetera. But you know, this could get ugly, and
- 14:38Speaker 2: I think when we get our mass media, I think
- 14:41Speaker 2: this could backfire. Let's put it this way. I think
- 14:43Speaker 2: it could backfire for mass media because what could happen
- 14:46Speaker 2: is people could say, listen, we didn't have to watch you.
- 14:48Speaker 2: We were able to stream the president online. And it
- 14:50Speaker 2: just shows how irrelevant TV news has become. It is
- 14:54Speaker 2: not something years ago, even ten years ago, people used
- 14:56Speaker 2: to rush home six o'clock at night. Five o'clock at night,
- 14:59Speaker 2: you put on the new have dinner with the family,
- 15:01Speaker 2: and you'd have Walter Cronkite back in the day on today.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I can't tell you a person who watches what we
- 15:07Speaker 2: call the linear broadcast of a TV newscast. I don't
- 15:10Speaker 2: know one linear broadcast means you watch it live when
- 15:12Speaker 2: it comes on the year five to six or whatever.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I don't know a person. You may. You may still
- 15:18Speaker 2: I know people who watch CNN or Fox News or
- 15:21Speaker 2: Newsmax or ms NOW, but I don't know people who
- 15:25Speaker 2: are watching local TV news anymore. And it's sad because
- 15:29Speaker 2: I loved that industry, certainly, I worked in it for
- 15:31Speaker 2: decades and want a whole bunch of Emmy's doing it,
- 15:35Speaker 2: if I may pat myself on the back, but it's
- 15:38Speaker 2: just sad to see it being a shadow of its
- 15:40Speaker 2: former self. We want to know what you have to
- 15:42Speaker 2: say about stuff, so you give us a call. Eight
- 15:44Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten, eight hundred
- 15:47Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten. It's going to
- 15:49Speaker 2: be partly sunny. Today's actually pretty nice ad. It's a
- 15:51Speaker 2: lot less human right now. Still going to have some
- 15:54Speaker 2: smoke in the air, though it's going to make it
- 15:56Speaker 2: hard to breathe. We still have an air quality alert
- 15:58Speaker 2: in effect. Tempts make it to the mid eighties coming up.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Lots of folks still angry with Mayor Zorron Mamdani over
- 16:05Speaker 2: the ethnic neighborhood map that left off Little Italy. By
- 16:09Speaker 2: the way, I think it also left off Harlem. How
- 16:12Speaker 2: the heck do you leave off Harlem, I mean craziness.
- 16:16Speaker 2: In just a few we will speak with the head
- 16:17Speaker 2: of the Italian American One Voice Coalition about that and more.
- 16:21Speaker 2: But your calls are next eight hundred and three to two
- 16:23Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. It is ten twenty two seven
- 16:26Speaker 2: to ten wor Kenrosotto win from Mark. We're coming right.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Back now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven
- 16:31Speaker 1: ten WR filling in form Mark.
- 16:34Speaker 5: Here again is Ken Rosotto and.
- 16:36Speaker 6: Very good morning.
- 16:37Speaker 2: We go right to our busy phones. Joe in Elmwood
- 16:40Speaker 2: Park right near Gotfield. Good morning to you, Joe.
- 16:43Speaker 7: Okay. Trump's main time topic was the elections. Now we
- 16:48Speaker 7: have a saying in Jersey, as you know, I would
- 16:51Speaker 7: kiss your behind in Macy's window if you could prove
- 16:54Speaker 7: to me that this election that Muslim Mickey was on
- 16:58Speaker 7: the up and up, or we'll brain or Governor lamb
- 17:02Speaker 7: Chop as I call her.
- 17:04Speaker 2: You you really like these elected officials, I can tell, uh. Yeah, Look,
- 17:08Speaker 2: there are a lot of people who who have those beliefs.
- 17:12Speaker 2: And I know a lot of people because you know,
- 17:13Speaker 2: I do my show in Jersey, my Morning show, and
- 17:17Speaker 2: we get a lot of people who call and say,
- 17:18Speaker 2: how on Earth could Mickey Cheryl get you know, more
- 17:22Speaker 2: votes than than Governor Murphy and a lot more votes. Look,
- 17:27Speaker 2: it is what it is. Until until we get the
- 17:29Speaker 2: Save Act and we can confirm that people who are
- 17:33Speaker 2: citizens get to vote. I think until that happens, we're
- 17:36Speaker 2: gonna have We're gonna have issues in terms of being
- 17:39Speaker 2: a having a sense of confidence in the vote. And
- 17:42Speaker 2: that's why the idea that the Democrats are so reticent
- 17:45Speaker 2: to being able to confirm who can vote before they vote,
- 17:49Speaker 2: it's a little annoying. Vincent fort Pierce, Florida, good morning.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Yeah, good morning.
- 17:54Speaker 6: You know you're the first person on air to mention
- 17:57Speaker 6: the president's speech last night. I listened to Sean Addity
- 18:00Speaker 6: last night, and you know, he just brushed over it
- 18:02Speaker 6: and said the President made claims of releasing documents tomorrow,
- 18:06Speaker 6: then he went into Iran, and then this morning I
- 18:09Speaker 6: watched Maria the same thing.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Nobody's talked about it, but.
- 18:12Speaker 6: I think part of it is because Fox gave seven
- 18:17Speaker 6: hundred million dollars without going to court to dominion machines
- 18:21Speaker 6: in that lawsuit, and Trump mentioned not by name, but
- 18:24Speaker 6: he mentioned those machines. And if you look at all
- 18:27Speaker 6: these elections that all these Democrats are fighting and screaming.
- 18:31Speaker 6: You mentioned New Jersey, and you know, the numbers just
- 18:34Speaker 6: didn't make sense. You saw what happen in LA, you
- 18:37Speaker 6: saw what happened in twenty twenty, and nobody would be
- 18:40Speaker 6: fighting for illegal aliens if they weren't using him to vote.
- 18:44Speaker 6: And I remember Rudy years ago was am with Sean
- 18:46Speaker 6: Hannity and he talked about how much voter fraud was
- 18:49Speaker 6: going on during his elections, and he said that what
- 18:52Speaker 6: they would do is they would take buses from precinct
- 18:54Speaker 6: to precinct full of homeless and they would vote under
- 18:58Speaker 6: different names, and he said they would eliminate some of them.
- 19:01Speaker 6: You know, they were able to get some of them,
- 19:03Speaker 6: and that's what helped him in his reelection.
- 19:05Speaker 3: He said, but it's make a mistake.
- 19:07Speaker 6: These people are voting, and now that they have the illegals,
- 19:10Speaker 6: they're really going to town and these people want them.
- 19:12Speaker 6: And you know Trump mentioned that there's two hundred twenty thousand.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Then I don't mean only because we're coming up on
- 19:18Speaker 2: the bottom. I'm with you on a lot of this.
- 19:21Speaker 2: In that look, I've said to Democrat friends of mine,
- 19:23Speaker 2: very liberal friends, I said, if we knew for a
- 19:26Speaker 2: fact that the people coming across the border, we're all conservatives,
- 19:29Speaker 2: and they couldn't wait to get here and vote quote
- 19:31Speaker 2: family values unquote and vote for conservatives, you would have
- 19:35Speaker 2: a wall built so damn fast that we would be
- 19:38Speaker 2: out of cement in the rest of the country. And then,
- 19:40Speaker 2: and my liberal friends always chuckle because they know it's true.
- 19:43Speaker 2: They know it's true. So I think there's a lot
- 19:46Speaker 2: of truth to what you're saying. And if we're not
- 19:49Speaker 2: even talking about the fact that illegal aliens are here
- 19:52Speaker 2: and voting illegally as much as the even if they
- 19:55Speaker 2: just settle in blue cities like New York and Philadelphia,
- 19:58Speaker 2: et cetera, that keeps the number of Congressional representatives high,
- 20:02Speaker 2: and the Democrats who can vote who live there now
- 20:04Speaker 2: have more Democrats to vote for, and that causes just
- 20:07Speaker 2: as much harm as if the illegals are voting on
- 20:09Speaker 2: their own. Hey, let me ask you, how is my
- 20:11Speaker 2: fair state of Florida. You know, I live in Fort Lauderdale.
- 20:14Speaker 6: I just got that was up in New Jersey. I
- 20:16Speaker 6: have a house down the shore still, and I got
- 20:18Speaker 6: to tell you it was hotter up there.
- 20:19Speaker 8: Than yes on here I love.
- 20:21Speaker 6: I live on the Indian River, so it's you know,
- 20:23Speaker 6: you get a little bit of the breeze from that.
- 20:25Speaker 2: You're not allowed to call it that. It's the Native
- 20:27Speaker 2: American River. What is wrong with you, Vince?
- 20:30Speaker 4: The way change names. I love that changes name.
- 20:34Speaker 9: I know.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Listen, I can't wait to get back down, my friend.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I'll go in the middle of July. I love my
- 20:38Speaker 2: state of Florida so much, but I also love my
- 20:40Speaker 2: state of New Jersey. And then have a go and brother,
- 20:42Speaker 2: take it easy. We go to filling queens.
- 20:44Speaker 10: Good morning, Hey, good job campaigns going back to Hubert Humphrey.
- 20:51Speaker 10: And I've seen a lot of fraud. I've had, oh
- 20:55Speaker 10: watch her, and I'm an attorney. Also, machines impounded. I've
- 21:00Speaker 10: seen another type of fraud where at senior citizen homes
- 21:05Speaker 10: and disabled homes, the liberal social workers and aides are
- 21:09Speaker 10: voting for people, you know, instead of the people voting
- 21:13Speaker 10: for themselves. And even when Congresswoman Grace Ming first got elected,
- 21:20Speaker 10: there were a huge amount every school I ever worked at,
- 21:24Speaker 10: maybe they'd be one or two.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Affi David ballots.
- 21:31Speaker 10: Every ed had fifteen twenty twenty five and it was
- 21:35Speaker 10: all frauds.
- 21:36Speaker 2: And Phil, let me guess they let me guess, Phil,
- 21:39Speaker 2: They all went for the Republicans, right.
- 21:42Speaker 10: Yeah, they voted for Ronald Reagan.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah not now, I hear you. And this is as old.
- 21:48Speaker 2: I just want to know why it always seems to
- 21:50Speaker 2: be the left that does this, and we just tolerted
- 21:54Speaker 2: republic go ahead.
- 21:57Speaker 10: The Democrats are criminal enterprise, an ongoing criminal enterprise.
- 22:02Speaker 3: That's it.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Because the idea is power, power, power is more important
- 22:06Speaker 2: than moles and everything else. If that's it, he who
- 22:09Speaker 2: rules makes all right, my friend, we appreciate you. We're
- 22:12Speaker 2: gonna quickly go to our friend Vincent. Hello, good morning.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Hello. I'm sorry, Ken, it's not Vincent. It's Robert. Oh,
- 22:19Speaker 3: Robert Vincent, go right ahead.
- 22:21Speaker 2: No, no, I'll take Robert. It says you're Vincent on
- 22:23Speaker 2: the on the list, but I would be more than
- 22:26Speaker 2: happy to take Robert. We got about a minute.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Go ahead, Robert, Thank you, Ken. I'll make it fast.
- 22:30Speaker 3: So the other part what President Trump was talking about
- 22:33Speaker 3: about last night, I don't remember when Tulsea Gabbard went
- 22:36Speaker 3: to that warehouse for the votes, and she they said,
- 22:39Speaker 3: why is she going there? All of a sudden, evidence
- 22:43Speaker 3: of documents started coming up and I don't remember that. Also,
- 22:47Speaker 3: that same company that had the voter that that that
- 22:51Speaker 3: unfortunately Fox paid almost eight hundred million dollars to UH,
- 22:55Speaker 3: they dropped their lawsuit against Mike the pillow guy. Now
- 22:59Speaker 3: why would they do that? It could have crushed him.
- 23:01Speaker 3: But right after she did that, they're saying that stuff
- 23:03Speaker 3: has come out that could show that there was malfeasance
- 23:08Speaker 3: that we don't.
- 23:10Speaker 2: But we don't. Honestly, we don't know that. I mean
- 23:12Speaker 2: when we say there's stuff anyone could post whatever on X,
- 23:14Speaker 2: we don't know. And listen, I'm not saying there is
- 23:16Speaker 2: or isn't. I'm just saying I don't know, and I
- 23:18Speaker 2: don't think anyone knows unless if there was stuff, it'll
- 23:22Speaker 2: be made public and it'll come out because there's a
- 23:25Speaker 2: lot of money involved here on both sides, so it'll happen.
- 23:28Speaker 3: No, absolutely, But the other point I wanted to make
- 23:30Speaker 3: that I told you Cole screen it, which I agree.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Whatever what everybody is saying, how did the major media say,
- 23:36Speaker 3: you know what, we decided what he's saying isn't relevant
- 23:39Speaker 3: to the American people? And is that? Is that not?
- 23:42Speaker 3: Also like, well, here's the way we deal.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Here's the way we tell them to go screw themselves.
- 23:47Speaker 2: If you're pardon my expression, don't watch them, don't watch them, listen, listen,
- 23:51Speaker 2: right and that's the problem for them right now. Do
- 23:54Speaker 2: you know the TV news is down to about thirty
- 23:56Speaker 2: to thirty five percent viewership of what it was ten
- 23:58Speaker 2: years ago. That's a America's way single screw yourself. We
- 24:01Speaker 2: don't need you. We have our Fox News, Newsmax, et cetera,
- 24:05Speaker 2: and we could get our stuff online. And if you
- 24:07Speaker 2: want to act like this and be one sided, you
- 24:09Speaker 2: can go to hell. It's as simple as that. We
- 24:11Speaker 2: appreciate you, Robert, and thank you for being so kind
- 24:13Speaker 2: in the beginning saying that Vincent could take your space,
- 24:15Speaker 2: but I would never do that to you. Seven ten
- 24:17Speaker 2: woar the Voice of New York.
- 24:20Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone Show on seven ten wi
- 24:24Speaker 1: Ben from Mark Today, here's Ken Rosato seven ten wore.
- 24:30Speaker 2: You are listening to the Marx Simon Show on a
- 24:32Speaker 2: Friday morning. Good to be filling in for Mark, who
- 24:34Speaker 2: is off today for long weekend. You know Mayory Zorn
- 24:36Speaker 2: Mamdani's administration is under fire because he recently released a
- 24:40Speaker 2: map of New York City's ethnic neighborhoods and conspicuously left
- 24:45Speaker 2: out the city's white ethnic neighborhoods, places like Woodlawn and
- 24:49Speaker 2: the Bronx, famous for its Irish population. Borough Park, Brooklyn,
- 24:53Speaker 2: famous as an enclay for the ultra orthodox Jews, history
- 24:56Speaker 2: of Queens, populated by up to forty thousand Greek Americans,
- 25:01Speaker 2: and one of the most famous and iconic ethnic neighborhoods
- 25:04Speaker 2: in all of America, certainly of New York. Little Italy
- 25:08Speaker 2: well over one hundred and fifty years old. And Mamdani's
- 25:11Speaker 2: response to the omissions, Well, I'll let him speak for himself.
- 25:14Speaker 11: So this map was initially created by the prior administration
- 25:17Speaker 11: in twenty twenty three, and when we inherited it, we
- 25:20Speaker 11: added a few additional neighborhoods. It's clearly not an exhaustive
- 25:24Speaker 11: list of the more than two hundred ethnic communities that
- 25:27Speaker 11: call our city home, and we're going to be making
- 25:29Speaker 11: additional changes in the future to reflect that, and that
- 25:32Speaker 11: includes adding Little Italy to the map.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Yeah, so Little Italy's an afterthought. It's like, yeah, we
- 25:36Speaker 2: so get this. Get this. He added three Chinatowns, he
- 25:40Speaker 2: added two little guyanas he added a little Bod Tibet.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I didn't know that Tibet was known as Bho d Bod,
- 25:49Speaker 2: but I guess it is two little Mexicos. But he
- 25:52Speaker 2: couldn't think about this place called Little Italy. Twenty eight
- 25:56Speaker 2: of the thirty ethnic neighborhoods on that map, by the way,
- 25:59Speaker 2: are listed that we're listed are non white, which is
- 26:02Speaker 2: great and we should be celebrating it. But you don't
- 26:04Speaker 2: eliminate certain cultures for others. So much for being mayor
- 26:08Speaker 2: of all the people. So right now we go to
- 26:10Speaker 2: our friend Andre Demino, president of the Italian American One
- 26:13Speaker 2: Voice Coalition, to discuss why these omissions matter. Good morning
- 26:17Speaker 2: to you, Andre.
- 26:19Speaker 12: Good morning ken, Good to be with you, Good to
- 26:21Speaker 12: be have.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You, I should say, And what was your reaction, Andre,
- 26:24Speaker 2: when you first saw the map and you realized, of
- 26:26Speaker 2: all places, little Italy was nowhere to be found.
- 26:30Speaker 3: It's just a disgrace.
- 26:31Speaker 12: I mean, you know this is for me. This was
- 26:35Speaker 12: absolutely a deliberate action. You've got to remember that Mayor
- 26:38Speaker 12: mon Dami, before he was mayor, he gave the finger
- 26:41Speaker 12: to the Columbus statue and said take it down. So
- 26:43Speaker 12: I think we know where he stands with respect to
- 26:46Speaker 12: Italian Americans and Little Lily. It's such an important part
- 26:48Speaker 12: of New York City history. The Italians helped built this country.
- 26:52Speaker 12: Little Lialy was the stepping stone for so many millions
- 26:55Speaker 12: that came into here. Even my own family came through
- 26:57Speaker 12: Mott Street.
- 26:58Speaker 10: In Little Italy.
- 26:59Speaker 12: So leaving that out, as well as leaving off the
- 27:01Speaker 12: Jewish communities and the Irish communities, it's apparent what he's doing,
- 27:05Speaker 12: he's reshaping New York.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and again everybody's well, I love the fact that
- 27:10Speaker 2: we have so many cultures of New York.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Don't you love going and trying the different food and
- 27:14Speaker 2: China Town in Middle Mexico. I think that's wonderful. This
- 27:17Speaker 2: is not about you don't deserve to be here, It's
- 27:20Speaker 2: about we should. I mean, you just got to be careful.
- 27:24Speaker 2: If you're going to start playing the game of putting
- 27:26Speaker 2: certain cultures on, make sure you have all.
- 27:28Speaker 5: The cultures on.
- 27:29Speaker 2: You can't just conveniently forget places like Little Italy and
- 27:34Speaker 2: Little Greece. I mean, come on, And that's that's the feeling.
- 27:37Speaker 2: It's like, well, you know what you're yesterday. This is tomorrow.
- 27:41Speaker 2: And that's definitely is the sense I think a lot
- 27:43Speaker 2: of people I've spoken to have had that you guys
- 27:46Speaker 2: were here one hundred years ago, you're irrelevant. Now this
- 27:48Speaker 2: is the direction we're headed. Am I wrong?
- 27:51Speaker 12: No, You're a hundred percent right. In fact, you know
- 27:53Speaker 12: where there's a big uproar from lots of Italian American
- 27:56Speaker 12: organization and I'm pleased they did that. And his response
- 27:58Speaker 12: that you played up front, you know, he said, oh, okay,
- 28:01Speaker 12: now we're going to put little little back, but that
- 28:02Speaker 12: was after the tremendous response that was there. But candidly, Ken,
- 28:06Speaker 12: this has been a number of days and he hasn't
- 28:08Speaker 12: put it back yet, right, And he did say in
- 28:10Speaker 12: the future what future one hundred years from there?
- 28:12Speaker 2: No, once he's out of office, it'll be his parting gift.
- 28:17Speaker 2: And remember this map was released even though he says
- 28:19Speaker 2: it was created under the previous administration. Notice, the previous
- 28:23Speaker 2: administration did not release it, maybe because they knew it
- 28:26Speaker 2: wasn't complete. That's why they didn't release it. And before
- 28:29Speaker 2: your people, your nine year olds that you have working
- 28:32Speaker 2: for you, nine year old socialists that you have working
- 28:34Speaker 2: for you, before you release a map like this, Maybe
- 28:37Speaker 2: have somebody check it over. It's like a four year
- 28:39Speaker 2: old doing a color finger painting before you bring it
- 28:42Speaker 2: to the art teacher. Maybe mommy and daddy'll check it over.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And that's what you need. An adult in the room
- 28:48Speaker 2: in this administration, and it feels like there isn't one.
- 28:52Speaker 12: Well, not just an adult, but I think you need
- 28:54Speaker 12: an adult that doesn't want to change New York because
- 28:56Speaker 12: that's really where he's heating, you know, to eliminate the
- 28:59Speaker 12: really the the heartbeat of what started this city, the
- 29:03Speaker 12: Italian Americans, Irish Americans, the Jewish that have been here
- 29:06Speaker 12: for so long.
- 29:07Speaker 3: I mean, I think it's.
- 29:08Speaker 12: Obvious what he's doing to me.
- 29:09Speaker 3: As I said, it's deliberate.
- 29:11Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 29:11Speaker 2: And this is by the way, Andre Demino, the president
- 29:13Speaker 2: of the Italian American One Voice Coalition. Their website is
- 29:18Speaker 2: IAOVC dot org if you want to check them out.
- 29:22Speaker 2: And they get upset when things like the Columbus statues
- 29:27Speaker 2: get torn down or literal itally gets forgotten from maps.
- 29:30Speaker 2: It's to make sure that people realize the positive contributions
- 29:33Speaker 2: of Italian Americans to our culture and not at the
- 29:36Speaker 2: expense of other cultures. In fact, just the opposite. You
- 29:38Speaker 2: have reached out to members and talked to members of
- 29:41Speaker 2: the Irish and Jewish communities and Greek communities whose historic
- 29:44Speaker 2: neighborhoods were not highlighted as well.
- 29:45Speaker 9: Correct.
- 29:47Speaker 12: Oh, absolutely correct, and we're looking for that outreach. We're
- 29:50Speaker 12: looking to unify people. In fact, you didn't mention it,
- 29:52Speaker 12: but we've actually formed an alliance with the Native American
- 29:55Speaker 12: Guardians Association because they feel that they're being underpression now
- 29:59Speaker 12: with removing names like the Redskins and the Chiefs, which
- 30:02Speaker 12: they're proud of. So we've got a like feeling between
- 30:05Speaker 12: us and Native Americans as well as the other groups
- 30:07Speaker 12: that you mentioned. We should unify, even though they're trying
- 30:10Speaker 12: to divide us and conquer us by dividing us, we've
- 30:13Speaker 12: got to unify together. All groups should come together and
- 30:16Speaker 12: be strong against these types of approaches.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And that's what makes New York greate when we all
- 30:19Speaker 2: do come together as opposed to battling one another. It's
- 30:22Speaker 2: not about having distinct neighborhoods and you stay there and
- 30:25Speaker 2: I stay here. It's about celebrating the differences. The differences
- 30:28Speaker 2: are great, let's celebrate them. Let's go and you know listen.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I know so many Italians, and I'm sure you do too,
- 30:34Speaker 2: Italian Americans whose favorite food isn't Italian, and they'll go
- 30:37Speaker 2: into the Thai neighborhood because they got great Thai food
- 30:39Speaker 2: or whatever. It's about celebrating the goodness of each other's
- 30:42Speaker 2: culture and the richness while still coming together as Americans
- 30:45Speaker 2: and being proud. I don't want to sound Pollyannish, but
- 30:48Speaker 2: it is part of the joy of being in this country. Otherwise,
- 30:50Speaker 2: you can go to any other country in the world
- 30:51Speaker 2: if you want a monolithic field, but here it's about
- 30:54Speaker 2: the melting pot and the joy of that. But when
- 30:57Speaker 2: you leave out groups, you're basically saying you need not apply,
- 31:00Speaker 2: you don't need to be here. And the whole purpose
- 31:02Speaker 2: of this map being released when it was andre was
- 31:05Speaker 2: for the FIFA World Cup visitors. So now for the
- 31:08Speaker 2: mayor to very disingenuously say, oh, well, we'll get to it,
- 31:11Speaker 2: we'll release it with little Italy when after all the
- 31:14Speaker 2: FIFA people have gone. They're leaving on Sunday or Monday,
- 31:17Speaker 2: so they won't be here anymore. So then you're going
- 31:18Speaker 2: to tell them, oh, by the way, there was a
- 31:20Speaker 2: little Italy here.
- 31:22Speaker 12: No exactly as I said. His reaction really was because
- 31:26Speaker 12: of the uproar that came up. But now maybe he
- 31:28Speaker 12: thinks it's going to subside. But we're not going to
- 31:29Speaker 12: let it go. We've got to continue to be vigilant
- 31:32Speaker 12: because after all, with this, now, Ken, are we looking
- 31:35Speaker 12: at maybe the sand Gennaro Fest not getting a permit,
- 31:38Speaker 12: Are we looking at the Columbus Day Parade not being
- 31:41Speaker 12: able to be taken this that we had this year.
- 31:44Speaker 12: You know, we've got to be vigilant and keep our
- 31:46Speaker 12: eyes on it and make sure that these things don't
- 31:48Speaker 12: change us.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Well, you're absolutely right, and we are glad that your organization,
- 31:52Speaker 2: our organization I say our or I don't just mean
- 31:54Speaker 2: the Italian Americans. I mean you need organizations to be
- 31:57Speaker 2: vigilant like this, whether you are a of Italian extraction
- 32:01Speaker 2: or not. And we're happy and glad and proud that
- 32:04Speaker 2: you are on it. So we appreciate Andre Domino, president
- 32:08Speaker 2: of the Italian American One Voice Coalition, to discuss why
- 32:11Speaker 2: it is so important not to omit groups from the
- 32:15Speaker 2: ethnic map in New York. Andre, thanks for coming on today.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Thank you, Ken, Take care you too, all.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Right, Sonny Hot and humid again today it's going to
- 32:24Speaker 2: be probably mid eighties, not as hot as it has been.
- 32:28Speaker 2: But remember we still have a problem with the air.
- 32:31Speaker 2: There's an air quality alert in effect, so if you
- 32:33Speaker 2: have problems breathing, just kind of stay indoors as much
- 32:36Speaker 2: as you can, or use a mask because it is
- 32:40Speaker 2: not good if you have asthma. Phone lines are open.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. Eight hundred
- 32:46Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten. This is Ken Rozanto
- 32:49Speaker 2: in for Mark Simone on your Friday seven to ten.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Wo are those phone calls next? We're coming right back.
- 32:55Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show live from the woor Life Studios.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Guest hosting for Mark today, here's Ken Rosatto Ada.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Very good morning. Let us go straight to our busy phones.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Let's take Pam in New Jersey.
- 33:09Speaker 14: Good morning, Japan, Good morning. I just read that Senator
- 33:14Speaker 14: Murreno m O r I n O of Ohio is
- 33:18Speaker 14: going to present legislation to sanction Canada about not handling
- 33:23Speaker 14: their forest properly, and some other senators are going in
- 33:27Speaker 14: on it with him, and I told I called up
- 33:30Speaker 14: several different senators and congress people to advise them to
- 33:33Speaker 14: look for that legislation.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Good, well, I'm glad we're doing something, but you know
- 33:37Speaker 2: what that's going to do. Nothing? All it does, and
- 33:42Speaker 2: first of all, every Democrat will vote against it, and
- 33:44Speaker 2: you'll get the couple of wishy washy Republicans will vote
- 33:47Speaker 2: against it. And if it does pass, Canada is going
- 33:49Speaker 2: to say, and what should I do with this? Wipe
- 33:51Speaker 2: my nose? I'm with you and I appreciate it, Pam
- 33:55Speaker 2: and I one hundred percent. But you know the way
- 33:58Speaker 2: it is, Canada is going to say, oh, really, what
- 34:00Speaker 2: does this mean?
- 34:00Speaker 14: When they killed We're going to kill those ostriches. I
- 34:04Speaker 14: called the embassy Canadian embassy in New York and the
- 34:08Speaker 14: consulate in Alberta and Vancouver and they were not nice.
- 34:13Speaker 14: But that doesn't stop me.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Well, don't go for you, and Pam, I'm not and
- 34:17Speaker 2: I'm not belittling you. I love what you're doing and
- 34:19Speaker 2: I love the fact that you're passionate about it. I'm
- 34:21Speaker 2: with you. I don't disagree with you at all. The
- 34:24Speaker 2: problem is all the leftists in Canada are so brainwashed.
- 34:27Speaker 2: They are still they're blaming Trump and the US for
- 34:32Speaker 2: the wildfires. They think because of our carbon emissions in
- 34:35Speaker 2: global warming boots why the forest fires open. Because forest
- 34:38Speaker 2: fires haven't happened in Canada for a million years. It
- 34:41Speaker 2: just just happened when Trump was elected. Don't you know that, Pam.
- 34:44Speaker 2: It's just ridiculous, it's happening.
- 34:46Speaker 14: That's why paper towels are thirty five dollars. Yeah, because
- 34:50Speaker 14: they closed down the lumber mills in our country too.
- 34:54Speaker 14: And the lumber mills used to go through with their
- 34:56Speaker 14: big machinery and they used to drive through and create
- 35:00Speaker 14: eight clearcuts and take out their debris. That's why you
- 35:03Speaker 14: didn't have the forest fires that we're having now, Pam.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I remember the great, late great russial Umby used to
- 35:08Speaker 2: talk about this that for every tree that the lumber
- 35:12Speaker 2: mills cut down, they had to plant seven new ones.
- 35:15Speaker 2: So it was truly a renewable resource. But yet the
- 35:18Speaker 2: liberals didn't want to hear it because once they get
- 35:21Speaker 2: in their minds that it's evil and bad, just like
- 35:23Speaker 2: fossil fuels, evil bad, evil bad, nuclear bad evil bad. Basically,
- 35:28Speaker 2: any other life form is allowed to exist on Earth,
- 35:31Speaker 2: but humans. Humans are not the only life form. They
- 35:35Speaker 2: cannot have survival of the fittest. We should just go
- 35:38Speaker 2: in a cave and roll up in a ball and
- 35:40Speaker 2: die and let the roaches take over and whatnot. That's
- 35:43Speaker 2: the sickness, the self loathing sickness that is liberalism in
- 35:47Speaker 2: this country. But I appreciate you, Pam, thanks and thanks
- 35:49Speaker 2: for listening to the Mark Simone Show. We go to
- 35:52Speaker 2: Bob in Montvale, New Jersey, up near the wonderful border
- 35:55Speaker 2: of Ruckland County, New York. Good morning to you, Bob, oh,
- 35:59Speaker 2: good morning to you.
- 36:00Speaker 15: Thanks for taking the call. But you know, forget this
- 36:03Speaker 15: Mandani map. Have you ever looked at like the statistics
- 36:08Speaker 15: from Ellis Island? And the reason why I bring it
- 36:10Speaker 15: up is all these democrats out that this new wave
- 36:14Speaker 15: of immigrants slash illegals have like helped build this country.
- 36:19Speaker 15: But if you look at the statistics from Ellis Island,
- 36:23Speaker 15: where immigrants who truly built this country, you know it's it's,
- 36:28Speaker 15: you know, eye popping that the top five countries are Italy, Austria, Hungary, Russia,
- 36:35Speaker 15: Germany and Island. I don't see little Mogadishu. I don't
- 36:40Speaker 15: see little this or a little that there. So Mundani
- 36:44Speaker 15: and even the helicopter pilot here in New Jersey should
- 36:48Speaker 15: really look at the history and it really gets me
- 36:53Speaker 15: stick actually again. And I'm sorry to sound like emotional,
- 36:57Speaker 15: but aren't we sick of hearing.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Bob Bob bob. Don't you understand the mind of a communist?
- 37:04Speaker 2: Don't you understand the mind of a guy? See No,
- 37:06Speaker 2: because we're we're libertarian conservatives. This is this is the
- 37:09Speaker 2: way they manipulate, don't you see. So let's make the
- 37:13Speaker 2: poor migrant from Tibet who has about three dollars in
- 37:17Speaker 2: their pocket. And I'm not belittling or making fun I'm
- 37:19Speaker 2: just illustrating reality. Let's make them feel more secure about
- 37:26Speaker 2: themselves in the country so they will follow me and
- 37:29Speaker 2: vote me into office as a communist. And then once
- 37:32Speaker 2: I'm in power, I take away the guns by having
- 37:35Speaker 2: the strongest gun control laws in the country in the
- 37:37Speaker 2: United States, meaning nobody can have a gun, even good
- 37:40Speaker 2: law abiding citizens, and we charge confiscatory tax rates and
- 37:44Speaker 2: we have total control. Meanwhile, he comes from a millionaire
- 37:47Speaker 2: family where his mother was wealthy, his father was wealthy
- 37:50Speaker 2: and never worked a day in his life. The only
- 37:53Speaker 2: time he did is ripe video. Mommy directed it. And
- 37:55Speaker 2: he becomes elected mayor.
- 37:58Speaker 15: It's said, it's really as said and it does kind
- 38:01Speaker 15: of get just sick in a way. But if you
- 38:03Speaker 15: look at really just from a statistical point of view,
- 38:07Speaker 15: you know, just it puts them all down. But I
- 38:10Speaker 15: guess we kind of ignore it all somehow, and it's
- 38:14Speaker 15: a shame.
- 38:15Speaker 2: It's because you have the sick ephants in the mainstream
- 38:17Speaker 2: media who love this. They love him, they love the
- 38:20Speaker 2: socialist left. This is all part of their agenda. Believe me,
- 38:23Speaker 2: I worked in the industry long enough. It is loaded
- 38:26Speaker 2: and polluted by people on the far left, and no
- 38:29Speaker 2: other opinions need apply. We appreciate you, called Bob, Thank
- 38:32Speaker 2: you so much, and have a good weekend. Partly sunny today,
- 38:36Speaker 2: lots of smoke in the air still though, making it
- 38:37Speaker 2: hard to breathe. Heights mid eighties. It's Ken rizottowin from
- 38:40Speaker 2: Mark on Your Friday. Coming up later, we speak to
- 38:42Speaker 2: the secretary of the New York State Conservative Party about
- 38:45Speaker 2: the new Senate bill that would codify or codify President
- 38:49Speaker 2: Trump's Day one executive order clarifying birthright citizenship. Seven ten
- 38:53Speaker 2: WR The Voice of New York Back after the News.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten. Filling in
- 39:01Speaker 1: for Mark, here's Ken Rosatto.
- 39:04Speaker 2: I love coming in for Mark. It is such a
- 39:06Speaker 2: good day here and just if you haven't been outside yet,
- 39:10Speaker 2: they still have the smoke, but it is a little
- 39:13Speaker 2: tiny bit less humid right now, although the committee is
- 39:16Speaker 2: going to build through the day partly sunny skies. You
- 39:18Speaker 2: just heard the forecast attempts in the mid eighties, a
- 39:21Speaker 2: little less oppressive, but the smoke is still there. Remember,
- 39:23Speaker 2: we still have an air quality alert in effect, so
- 39:27Speaker 2: just be careful if you've got to go outside, especially
- 39:29Speaker 2: if you have breathing issues asthma, or if you happen
- 39:32Speaker 2: to have a bad chess col right now not the
- 39:34Speaker 2: best to spend time outside. It is Can Rozotto, former
- 39:37Speaker 2: New York City TV news anchor here and always nice
- 39:41Speaker 2: to fill in. I'm a big fan of the Mark
- 39:43Speaker 2: Simone show. I listen every single day. I listen to Mark.
- 39:47Speaker 2: I listen, in fact, I listened to right through Sean
- 39:50Speaker 2: Hannity and then I just have it onto the background
- 39:53Speaker 2: all day. Just put it on. And as they used
- 39:55Speaker 2: to say our sister station at Z one hundred, they
- 39:57Speaker 2: used to say, put it on and rip the nava.
- 40:00Speaker 2: And we recommend you do that for those here at
- 40:03Speaker 2: seven ten WR We've got a lot to talk about today.
- 40:06Speaker 2: By the way, for those wondering, I got a couple
- 40:08Speaker 2: of social media requests now saying what are you doing
- 40:11Speaker 2: these days? Are you retired? No, no, no, no no no.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Of course I work here at iHeartRadio, filling in for
- 40:16Speaker 2: the Great Marksimone when he's off, and I do a
- 40:19Speaker 2: Monday through Friday show on a channel in New Jersey
- 40:23Speaker 2: which you can get anywhere in the world. Actually you
- 40:25Speaker 2: could stream it. It's called on New Jersey. In fact,
- 40:28Speaker 2: the show is called on New Jersey Mornings with Ken Rosato.
- 40:31Speaker 2: I want to say my name, but it's ATNNJA dot com.
- 40:35Speaker 2: ONNJ dot com. You could stream it anywhere anytime, and
- 40:39Speaker 2: we post the shows up there even after they're no
- 40:42Speaker 2: longer live, so if you want to check it out again.
- 40:44Speaker 2: All right, So, so much to talk about today. Phone
- 40:47Speaker 2: lines are open. We'd love for you to call take
- 40:50Speaker 2: part in the conversation. Eight hundred three to two one
- 40:53Speaker 2: zero seven ten. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 40:56Speaker 2: seven ten. The Trump administration, of course, everybody there now
- 41:01Speaker 2: on full focus mode. After the speech of the President
- 41:06Speaker 2: gave last night. Of course, President very upset and his
- 41:08Speaker 2: administration upset with a few of the TV networks that
- 41:11Speaker 2: refused to air the president's address. Do they have to
- 41:16Speaker 2: air the president's address? Absolutely none. They are not required
- 41:19Speaker 2: to by law. And there have been issues or times
- 41:22Speaker 2: in the past, i should say on issues, but times
- 41:24Speaker 2: in the past, one time under Obama, one time under
- 41:27Speaker 2: Biden where presidential addresses to the nation were not carried,
- 41:32Speaker 2: but it was different circumstances. Under the Obama administration, it
- 41:36Speaker 2: happened to be that the president wanted to have a
- 41:39Speaker 2: prime time address on the night that all the TV
- 41:42Speaker 2: networks were airing the debut of their fall lineup, and
- 41:46Speaker 2: they had been promoting it for weeks and weeks. So
- 41:48Speaker 2: what a lot of the what a lot of the
- 41:50Speaker 2: networks did was delay broadcast the president's address and they
- 41:54Speaker 2: carried it in full. In the case of President Biden,
- 41:58Speaker 2: there was something and I'm forgetting exactly what issue it was,
- 42:01Speaker 2: but it was an extremely controversial issue, and they did
- 42:04Speaker 2: air parts of his address, they just didn't err it
- 42:06Speaker 2: in full to absolutely say we're not going to carry it.
- 42:10Speaker 2: And then those who did carry it, who are the
- 42:12Speaker 2: leftist networks, decided to fact check as they went along.
- 42:16Speaker 2: It's just so obscenely offensive. Let the president speak. After
- 42:21Speaker 2: he speaks, you want to go point by point and
- 42:23Speaker 2: attack and final though you never ever did it to
- 42:26Speaker 2: Obama and you certainly only rarely did it to the
- 42:29Speaker 2: sleepy guy Joe, but you do it to Trump, and inevitably,
- 42:34Speaker 2: what he ends up saying that you fact check as
- 42:36Speaker 2: wrong three months from now always turns out to be right.
- 42:39Speaker 2: But you don't go back and correct yourselves, do you?
- 42:42Speaker 2: And yes, I'm speaking to all the networks I formally
- 42:44Speaker 2: worked at. I have worked at ABC, NBCCBS and Fox
- 42:48Speaker 2: all at different times. I've worked for all of those
- 42:50Speaker 2: networks at various times, and I just know why it happens.
- 42:55Speaker 2: It happens because the newsrooms are polluted with people who
- 42:59Speaker 2: are far are left in their political opinion, not even
- 43:03Speaker 2: that the people at the top are that way, although
- 43:05Speaker 2: in many cases they are. It's that when you locate
- 43:10Speaker 2: your network in Manhattan and the employees are all from
- 43:14Speaker 2: the New York City area, they live here, in many cases,
- 43:18Speaker 2: they're born and raised here, they were educated here, there's
- 43:20Speaker 2: going to be a certain mindset. And that mindset is
- 43:23Speaker 2: anti Republican. It's anti conservative, anti family, anti traditional, and
- 43:28Speaker 2: that's what you get. So when you hire people, you
- 43:31Speaker 2: can't hire people that commute in from two hundred miles away,
- 43:34Speaker 2: So you hire people from Manhattan or from the boroughs,
- 43:38Speaker 2: and just by percentage, they tend to be four to
- 43:40Speaker 2: one or five to one liberal, and so that translates
- 43:44Speaker 2: into what goes on the air. So it's not a
- 43:47Speaker 2: conspiracy at the top. It's not that the chairman of
- 43:51Speaker 2: the network says, this is what we'll do. It doesn't
- 43:54Speaker 2: work that way. It's just the day to day people
- 43:56Speaker 2: in charge, the managers, you know, who select what stories
- 44:00Speaker 2: go on the air, how we cover the stories. They
- 44:03Speaker 2: tend to be left. And if it comes right down
- 44:05Speaker 2: to we will air President Trump's speech in its entirety
- 44:09Speaker 2: as is, or we will nitpick it to death, or
- 44:12Speaker 2: we will instead air a special report on the environment,
- 44:16Speaker 2: They're going to go with the environment because that's the mentality,
- 44:19Speaker 2: that's the way they were raised. They believe Republican bad
- 44:22Speaker 2: anything to the left of Republican good, and that's what
- 44:26Speaker 2: ends up making it to air. And that's why they
- 44:28Speaker 2: have no audience left. They have literally lost their audience.
- 44:32Speaker 2: TV News, every channel, every network is literally scratching and
- 44:37Speaker 2: scraping for survival. Do you know that local TV news stations,
- 44:43Speaker 2: the NBCCBSABC, etc. Stations, the locally owned stations New York, LA, Chicago.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Do you know what they used to bill in advertising
- 44:53Speaker 2: revenue on average? And I'm not speaking with any insider
- 44:56Speaker 2: information here. I'm giving you stuff that's been in Business
- 44:58Speaker 2: Week and it's been published. Back in the year twenty fifteen,
- 45:02Speaker 2: if you were a Channel four in New York, or
- 45:04Speaker 2: a Channel two or a Channel seven, your advertising revenue
- 45:08Speaker 2: was in the neighborhood of three hundred to four hundred
- 45:10Speaker 2: and fifty million dollars just from that local station. Can
- 45:14Speaker 2: you imagine literally a printing press for cash. You know
- 45:18Speaker 2: what it's down to now about one hundred and twenty
- 45:20Speaker 2: five to one hundred and fifty million. Now you say, ken,
- 45:22Speaker 2: that's a lot of money. Yeah, it's a lot of money.
- 45:26Speaker 2: But remember the cost of doing business has risen substantially.
- 45:30Speaker 2: The networks are doing poorly in terms of their advertising
- 45:34Speaker 2: revenue on a national scale, so they rely on their
- 45:37Speaker 2: locally owned station revenue. They pull a lot of that
- 45:39Speaker 2: money out. Used to be that a Channel four if
- 45:42Speaker 2: they made four hundred million dollars, they got to keep
- 45:44Speaker 2: three hundred and fifty million to for their operating expenses,
- 45:47Speaker 2: et cetera, et cetera. Now say a network, and I'm
- 45:50Speaker 2: not this is I'm making a lot of assumptions here,
- 45:53Speaker 2: but based on what I've read and what I know,
- 45:56Speaker 2: a network will pull out ninety ninety five percent of
- 45:59Speaker 2: the income from that station, and the station isn't left
- 46:01Speaker 2: with a whole lot to run itself. So the TV
- 46:03Speaker 2: news anchors, who used to make two three million a
- 46:06Speaker 2: year in the eighties and nineties, for the main anchors,
- 46:10Speaker 2: they don't make anywhere near that today. You're lucky if
- 46:12Speaker 2: you get somebody who makes between five hundred thousand and
- 46:14Speaker 2: a million as the main anchor, and then you get
- 46:16Speaker 2: people making a lot less than that in other anchor positions.
- 46:19Speaker 2: And again I'm not speaking about any specific person, and
- 46:22Speaker 2: I haven't looked at any contracts in a lot of years,
- 46:25Speaker 2: so I'm not speaking out of school. I'm just telling
- 46:27Speaker 2: you the industry is changing. The industry is dying. Broadcast
- 46:32Speaker 2: TV news is just not go to must see TV
- 46:35Speaker 2: like it used to be used to be. It came
- 46:37Speaker 2: up from work at five five thirty, you took off
- 46:39Speaker 2: your shoes. You know you looked at the mail you
- 46:42Speaker 2: put on the six o'clock news today, I couldn't tell
- 46:45Speaker 2: you one person, including people who work in the industry,
- 46:48Speaker 2: who do that. And that is the problem. So you
- 46:52Speaker 2: know they call that linear broadcast. Today people are not
- 46:55Speaker 2: watching linear broadcasts, meaning when it's on the air. Instead
- 46:59Speaker 2: they tend to stream a lot. Older folks are still
- 47:02Speaker 2: doing it. Anyone under fifty forty five not so much.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Well do you remember also this case of the Trump
- 47:09Speaker 2: administration talking about wanting to replace a lot of the
- 47:14Speaker 2: US attorneys around the country. All right, So I don't
- 47:17Speaker 2: know if you heard this story. The new Seattle US
- 47:20Speaker 2: attorney was just appointed the other day. His name is
- 47:23Speaker 2: Roger Rogoff. Literally minutes after he was sworn in two
- 47:27Speaker 2: days ago, he got fired by the Trump administration. So
- 47:31Speaker 2: this is what happened. See, district court judges are allowed
- 47:34Speaker 2: to appoint a temporary US attorney if an interim appointees
- 47:39Speaker 2: term expires without a formal presidential nomination. So there was
- 47:43Speaker 2: an interim US attorney in the Seattle area and that
- 47:48Speaker 2: individual he did his one hundred and twenty days, it expired,
- 47:51Speaker 2: and at that point the judges there are seventeen of
- 47:54Speaker 2: them in the Western District of Washington. They get to
- 47:56Speaker 2: appoint a US attorney. Now the president doesn't have to
- 48:00Speaker 2: keep it. In fact, under President Obama, there were seventeen,
- 48:07Speaker 2: oh no, there were fourteen, I'm sorry, fourteen people judges
- 48:10Speaker 2: US attorneys, not judges US attorneys around the country. The
- 48:14Speaker 2: first day Obama took office, wiped them all out, got
- 48:17Speaker 2: rid of them all because they were Bush appointees. Then
- 48:20Speaker 2: over the ensuing months, there were another ninety seven that
- 48:24Speaker 2: the Obama administration terminated. They did it quietly, It never
- 48:29Speaker 2: made the news. Everyone kept their mouths shut. It was good.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Nobody sued, nobody complained because it was just the assumption
- 48:36Speaker 2: you serve at the discretion and the pleasure of the president.
- 48:40Speaker 2: And if the president comes in and says, I don't
- 48:42Speaker 2: want this guy, I want that guy, whether their personal
- 48:45Speaker 2: friends or not, that's just been accepted. But remember Trump
- 48:49Speaker 2: is Satan incarnate according to the Democrats. So the minute
- 48:54Speaker 2: the Trump administration, via the acting Attorney General, sent the
- 48:58Speaker 2: termination letter to this US attorney Roger Rogoff, who by
- 49:02Speaker 2: the way, is a hardcore leftist in Seattle appointed by
- 49:07Speaker 2: seventeen a hardcore leftist federal judges who were all appointed
- 49:13Speaker 2: themselves by Obama and Biden. So of course the person
- 49:18Speaker 2: they would select is a hard core liberal, and the
- 49:21Speaker 2: Trump administration they have a right to put in who
- 49:23Speaker 2: they want. So they said, I'm sorry, you're terminated. Will
- 49:25Speaker 2: appoint another interim US attorney until a person could get
- 49:29Speaker 2: approved by the Senate. So the interim attorney would take
- 49:33Speaker 2: that position, and then you need fifty one votes in
- 49:35Speaker 2: the Senate to confirm that person, and then they get
- 49:37Speaker 2: to serve. Okay, so of course you can't just go
- 49:40Speaker 2: away peacefully and gracefully.
- 49:42Speaker 7: Right.
- 49:42Speaker 2: So now Roger Rogoff is now suing the administration, making
- 49:45Speaker 2: a big deal about it the TV news in Seattle.
- 49:49Speaker 2: If you watch it, and I saw some of it online,
- 49:51Speaker 2: you would think the president sent a noose in the
- 49:54Speaker 2: mail to have this guy hung. It is just unbelievable.
- 49:59Speaker 2: They just can't accept. This is the democrats of view
- 50:01Speaker 2: of the universe. When we're in power, we will appoint
- 50:04Speaker 2: all these people, and you have to shut up. When
- 50:07Speaker 2: you're in power, we will appoint all these people, and
- 50:09Speaker 2: you have to shut up. So you never get to
- 50:11Speaker 2: appoint anybody. If you're a Republican, we always have the
- 50:14Speaker 2: final say because we want power. Do you remember when
- 50:17Speaker 2: Senator Chucky Chuck Schumer, hellow, good to see you. By
- 50:20Speaker 2: the way, Chuck Schumer, who, as Mark talked about yesterday,
- 50:23Speaker 2: farted on the floor of the Senate. Did you hear that?
- 50:26Speaker 2: Do we have the sound? I think we have. I'll
- 50:28Speaker 2: find it. I'll look, I'll look for the sound of
- 50:30Speaker 2: Schumer fart. I'm sure. Let me look through the Simone files.
- 50:34Speaker 2: I'll find it here and we'll fight. Or if you
- 50:36Speaker 2: find it is he forwarded to me, we have to.
- 50:38Speaker 2: It is rather disgusting. And as Simone was talking about yesterday, Mark,
- 50:44Speaker 2: you can hear Chuck Schumer laughing as he farts. I mean,
- 50:48Speaker 2: kind of a gross guy. If he's in front of
- 50:50Speaker 2: hundreds of you're in front of one hundred US senators
- 50:53Speaker 2: and the world watching on TV, and you fart and
- 50:56Speaker 2: you just chuckle about it, says a lot about what
- 50:58Speaker 2: he must be like privately. But nonetheless, he had announced
- 51:02Speaker 2: on the floor of the Senate on December twenty six,
- 51:05Speaker 2: twenty twenty four, he announced that two hundred and thirty
- 51:08Speaker 2: five judges were just appointed by Joe Biden to quote
- 51:11Speaker 2: preserve Biden's liberal legacy. He went on to say that
- 51:16Speaker 2: Democrats would quote rely on the judges appointed by Biden
- 51:19Speaker 2: to protect his White House legacy from President Donald Trump
- 51:24Speaker 2: and what he called the most extreme elements of Trump's agenda.
- 51:27Speaker 2: So that's why when you hear everything that the President
- 51:31Speaker 2: signs an executive order for, or every piece of legislation
- 51:34Speaker 2: that the President pushes, you hear of a US District
- 51:37Speaker 2: court judge blocking it, blocking it, blocking it. This was intentional.
- 51:43Speaker 2: December twenty sixth, Ah, thank you, December twenty sixth, twenty
- 51:47Speaker 2: twenty four. This was intentional, So thanks to Is he
- 51:50Speaker 2: the best darned board guy in the world. This was
- 51:53Speaker 2: Schumer on the floor of the Senate.
- 51:55Speaker 9: Now on Iran and the NDAA when all the Trump
- 51:59Speaker 9: administration and can say about his disastrous wife.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I don't know why it makes me leave,
- 52:04Speaker 2: all right? So that was Chuck Schumer. I'm on the flora.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Thank you. Is he on the floor of the Senate
- 52:09Speaker 2: farting for those who didn't hear, Yes, I'm three years old.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Now let's listen again, listen for the listen.
- 52:15Speaker 10: Now on Iron and the NDAA.
- 52:18Speaker 2: But I'm sorry, Yes, I'm sorry. My mother right now
- 52:23Speaker 2: is embarrassed, I know, but that says a lot about
- 52:26Speaker 2: the man.
- 52:26Speaker 5: Uh.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Will I will not forget when I was working for ABC.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Uh this is several years ago. I don't work for
- 52:34Speaker 2: ABC anymore, but I was working for ABC Television and
- 52:38Speaker 2: they had me and a whole bunch of anchors and
- 52:40Speaker 2: reporters doing the Pride I think the anniversary of Pride.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer comes over to me, and he felt it
- 52:47Speaker 2: incumbent upon himself to announce to me something that has
- 52:50Speaker 2: later been published. So I'm not speaking out of school,
- 52:52Speaker 2: but he announces, you know, my daughter is a lesbian
- 52:55Speaker 2: and we love hud just like anybody else. It was
- 52:58Speaker 2: so like it he an unnecessary and like, okay, so
- 53:03Speaker 2: Willie for you should I that's great, congratulations, Senator Shumer.
- 53:07Speaker 2: There's just something so phony and icky about the man.
- 53:11Speaker 2: So the fact that like this dirty old suit that
- 53:13Speaker 2: probably stinks, like when he takes it off, it probably
- 53:15Speaker 2: stands upright against the wall for him to stand there
- 53:19Speaker 2: on a mic and fart. Okay, I'm sorry. I won't
- 53:22Speaker 2: say the word far it anymore.
- 53:24Speaker 3: That's it.
- 53:24Speaker 2: I've said my share of the word for the rest
- 53:26Speaker 2: of the year. But Nonetheless, when he talked to the
- 53:31Speaker 2: Senate about the fact that there would be an insurance
- 53:35Speaker 2: that the Liberals would stay in control through these activist
- 53:39Speaker 2: Democrat judges, and nobody said a word about it that
- 53:42Speaker 2: was okay. Well, look, the bottom line is the President
- 53:46Speaker 2: of the United States, who right now thankfully happens to
- 53:49Speaker 2: be Donald J. Trump, has a right to appoint whomever
- 53:52Speaker 2: he wants into the position of US Attorney, and he
- 53:56Speaker 2: has done so. In the case of washing of the
- 54:00Speaker 2: Washington State US Attorney, he has at least removed the
- 54:03Speaker 2: liberal person and will appoint a conservative likely or as
- 54:06Speaker 2: close to one as possible in the days ahead seven ten,
- 54:10Speaker 2: wore the Voice of New York. We will take your
- 54:12Speaker 2: calls at eight hundred three two one zero seven ten,
- 54:16Speaker 2: eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Partly
- 54:20Speaker 2: sunny today, lots of smoke though in the air. We
- 54:22Speaker 2: still have a smoke advisory, poor air quality advisory and
- 54:26Speaker 2: effect making it hard to breathe. So just beware of
- 54:28Speaker 2: that if you have breathing issues. Highs today, mid eighties.
- 54:31Speaker 2: A little later, the left thought the Supreme Court had
- 54:35Speaker 2: the final say regarding birthright citizenship, forcing assault to sit
- 54:38Speaker 2: down and shut up like suckers, while illegals sneak in
- 54:43Speaker 2: just to give birth to a baby so the child
- 54:44Speaker 2: could be a US citizen. But the court left a
- 54:48Speaker 2: little wiggle room regarding definitions, and one US senator has
- 54:53Speaker 2: sponsored a bill that might just codify President Trump's executive
- 54:56Speaker 2: order from his first day in office. We'll talk about that.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Your calls are next, so we'll take him eight hundred
- 55:01Speaker 2: and three to two one zero, seven ten eleven, twenty two.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Right now, Ken Rosotto on seven ten w R for
- 55:07Speaker 2: the Great Mark Simone.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven ten
- 55:12Speaker 1: wo R.
- 55:13Speaker 5: Filling in from Mark. Here again is Ken Rosatto.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Iro was a more sent to our busy phones. Roger
- 55:19Speaker 2: in Boston. You are on the Mark Simone Show. Good
- 55:21Speaker 2: morning Roger.
- 55:23Speaker 4: Hi, Hi, Ken, you are unbelievable. I'm glad you fill
- 55:28Speaker 4: it in.
- 55:28Speaker 16: For the mall.
- 55:29Speaker 4: I'm gonna let you know. I'm bumping Beantown. But I'm
- 55:33Speaker 4: an old Bronx boy. We used to go.
- 55:35Speaker 9: We used to go up to New Rockachell because we
- 55:38Speaker 9: didn't have a mall in the Bronx.
- 55:40Speaker 4: When I was a kid, we went to the New
- 55:42Speaker 4: RockA sheell mall. We went up there. It was great
- 55:44Speaker 4: up there. I know you're from New Rochelle yesday.
- 55:48Speaker 9: You probably before we get to the President and the smoke.
- 55:51Speaker 9: Your probably family is originally from the Bronx.
- 55:53Speaker 2: No, they believe it or not. We're the only people
- 55:56Speaker 2: in New Rochelle not originally from the Bronx, and all
- 56:00Speaker 2: of our friends were. But yeah, in fact, my other
- 56:03Speaker 2: half's family lived in the Bronx and then New Rochelle.
- 56:06Speaker 2: But my no, my family actually came from Trenton and
- 56:09Speaker 2: then they went to Pelham and New Rochelle. That's how
- 56:11Speaker 2: they made it. But yeah, we loved the New Rochelle.
- 56:14Speaker 2: And by the way, it wasn't New rock Shell or
- 56:16Speaker 2: New Rock City back then. It was the New Roschelle Mall.
- 56:19Speaker 2: They knocked it down and then they built what is
- 56:22Speaker 2: now the New rock Shell or the Rock whatever they
- 56:26Speaker 2: call it. I don't live there anymore, so I don't
- 56:28Speaker 2: I don't even recall, but yeah, it's a great town.
- 56:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Good, are you still there? Oh we think we put
- 56:35Speaker 2: you on there. You go ahead, Roger.
- 56:37Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm still yeah. Yeah, it's funny you should say that.
- 56:40Speaker 9: When I was a little kid and my mother was
- 56:42Speaker 9: driving us all the kids.
- 56:43Speaker 4: Up to the ball.
- 56:44Speaker 9: I used to say when I saw the sign, I
- 56:46Speaker 9: used to call it new Rocky Shall That's how I
- 56:48Speaker 9: pronounced it before.
- 56:49Speaker 4: Like you said, it was obviously newishall and that's.
- 56:52Speaker 9: Rare for you have to be from the Bronx and
- 56:55Speaker 9: people that you also know Yonkers were Bronx people too.
- 56:58Speaker 9: It was a big thing to move to you, Rachelle
- 57:00Speaker 9: yank Is when I was a little kid. But anyway,
- 57:03Speaker 9: I'd just like to say, with the smoke, we having
- 57:05Speaker 9: it up and be down to. I called so many
- 57:08Speaker 9: radio shows three years ago. It's happened three years ago.
- 57:11Speaker 9: They got to build bigger fire breaks in Canada to
- 57:15Speaker 9: prevent this thing from spreading. If you have giant firebreaks,
- 57:19Speaker 9: plus other things you could do too.
- 57:21Speaker 5: You could prevent this.
- 57:22Speaker 9: This is sometimes now I'm thinking they don't even care.
- 57:26Speaker 2: No, they don't because it costs money. If Roger, it
- 57:28Speaker 2: costs money, and they don't want to do it. They
- 57:30Speaker 2: don't want to do it. They just like to sit
- 57:32Speaker 2: back and blame evil the United States because it's our
- 57:36Speaker 2: fault with global warming, it's always our fault, instead of
- 57:39Speaker 2: spending the money and taking care of it. So listen,
- 57:41Speaker 2: prior to twenty twenty three, they used to do fire breaks,
- 57:43Speaker 2: they would clean up their forests, they would do controlled burns.
- 57:46Speaker 2: And do you recall in twenty twenty one, twenty twenty
- 57:48Speaker 2: two having these wildfires from Canada. No didn't happen, right
- 57:53Speaker 2: of course, of.
- 57:54Speaker 4: Course, not because they were doing it.
- 57:56Speaker 9: I did sometimes. And also it's possible we don't know
- 58:00Speaker 9: people could be starting these fires.
- 58:02Speaker 5: And they can be terrorists.
- 58:04Speaker 9: They're never gonna find them. Just like looking down in
- 58:06Speaker 9: Florida where you walk, they got pythons in in the
- 58:09Speaker 9: thing in the Everglades. I would be surprised that the
- 58:12Speaker 9: Russians and Chinese they're doing after destroy our echo egoism
- 58:16Speaker 9: and they dropped like a hundred babies and there small ones.
- 58:19Speaker 4: But getting to the president, that's it.
- 58:23Speaker 9: I've just touch people. Can everybody enjoy yourself?
- 58:26Speaker 4: It is over.
- 58:28Speaker 9: The United States has been invaded by one hundred million,
- 58:31Speaker 9: a third world is and we now have a third
- 58:33Speaker 9: world country. I hear these people saying, oh, what happened,
- 58:37Speaker 9: what happened? The problem is you didn't listen to Patrick Buchanan.
- 58:42Speaker 4: That's what happened.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Well, listen, we love people coming into the United States legally.
- 58:47Speaker 2: We just don't appreciate sneaking in the back door and
- 58:50Speaker 2: doing it the way it was done. Thank you so much, Roger.
- 58:53Speaker 2: We appreciate the phone call. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn.
- 58:55Speaker 2: Good morning, Vincent, good morning.
- 58:58Speaker 17: Good morning, Rich. I heard one of Mondami's cronies that
- 59:02Speaker 17: he installed in one of the city agencies. This is
- 59:06Speaker 17: the latest boneheaded idea. What they want to do now
- 59:10Speaker 17: is they want to make it illegal for a landlord
- 59:14Speaker 17: and real it is to ask for income verification. And
- 59:20Speaker 17: if you want to do a background check on somebody
- 59:23Speaker 17: who wants to rent your apartment, you call up whatever
- 59:28Speaker 17: the landlord or the real estate agency has to pay
- 59:31Speaker 17: for it solely, you can't then put that course onto
- 59:35Speaker 17: the prospective tenant. What this is going to do, rich
- 59:39Speaker 17: And this is the again, and this is the intent.
- 59:43Speaker 17: If you get somebody in there that says, yeah, I
- 59:46Speaker 17: make X, Y and Z and I could easily afford
- 59:49Speaker 17: that apartment. They might have the money for the first month, friend,
- 59:53Speaker 17: and for the down payment. Then they'll stiff the landlord
- 59:58Speaker 17: or whomever on the ramp. And the way these courts
- 1:00:02Speaker 17: are rigged, the landlord tenant courts in New York City.
- 1:00:05Speaker 17: Now as it.
- 1:00:06Speaker 16: Is, it'll take you two years to get your case
- 1:00:09Speaker 16: finally heard, and in all likelihood that like happened to
- 1:00:14Speaker 16: my father, the tenant will flip the bird to you
- 1:00:17Speaker 16: and the judgment right, and you still won't get any money.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: And you still got to keep paying the mortgage on
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: that building. The bankers are going to say, oh, you're
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: not getting the rent, don't worry about it. You got
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: to pay the.
- 1:00:27Speaker 16: Vantage ken Recently, there was an article in the Post
- 1:00:31Speaker 16: where a landlord had one of these dead beats in
- 1:00:35Speaker 16: his apartment and forty years he spent his daughter's college
- 1:00:40Speaker 16: fund of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars and the
- 1:00:44Speaker 16: tenant is still freeloaded in his apartment. This is up
- 1:00:48Speaker 16: from Box Loope. This is what they intend to do.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: I'm with you, how then telling me to cut you off?
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: You know it's news time, But you're one hundred percent right.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: But the way they love to set it up to
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: set up because all ideally they want the city to
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: take over those properties and have this one big socialist
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: utopia with the city running everything. Vincent and Brooklyn love
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: you brother, always Love Avignon seven ten w We have
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: some breaking news I want to tell you about right now.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Word of a seven point three earthquake seven point three
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: magnitude earthquake that just struck southern Mexico in the last
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: few minutes. As we get more information, we will of
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: course bring it to you.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Bill Mark Simon Show Live from the WR Life Back Studio.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: Guests from Mark Today.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Here's cap Rosano and so good to be with you
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: on a Friday. We go straight to our phones. We
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: have a great topic to talk about here. Indiana Republican
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Senator Jim Banks introduced a bill to codify President Trump's
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: executive order that reshape the definition of birthright citizenship. The
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: bill that Banks introduced on Monday is called the Citizenship
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Act of twenty twenty six. It requires any person who
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: comes to the US with out authorization or for the
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: purpose of engaging in birth tourism to be considered an
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: invader and not automatically entitled to citizenship. Justice Kavanaugh argued
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: that the issue is statutory, not constitutional, meaning that Congress
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: can modify the issue. You don't need a whole constitutional amendment.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: He wrote that Congress could simply amend Federal Statute fourteen
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: oh one a to deny the children of illegals or
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: birthright tourists automatic citizenship. That is what this bill does.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: And to talk about it is the secretary of the
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: New York State Conservative Party, Howard Limb. Good morning, Howard, Hi,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Good morning, Ken. That's great to have you on. I
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: know so many people were seething mad when the Supreme
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Court issued its ruling, and Americans are fundamentally fair people.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: When they see outsiders coming here gaming the system, ostensibly
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: stealing what is precious to us, which is our citizenship,
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: and pocketing government giveaways in the process, it just pisses
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: people off.
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:02:57Speaker 12: You know.
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: We hoped that this would look at the state of
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: immigration and the birthright citizenship process and realize that it
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: was totally out of control. We hope that the acts
- 1:03:12Speaker 8: and the one you mentioned is not the only one
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: that are going through Congress will open the door to
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: allow the Supreme Court on and what will probably be
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: a new case that will come up when this law
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: is signed, to relook at the facts and reverse the
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: Barber decision which came down a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: And we believe that Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Barrett will
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: with the new legislation see fit to correct this problem.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: I mean here you had basically Justice Kavanaugh giving a
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: sort of hint and a roadmap right on how this
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: could be fixed. That doesn't mean the other justice is
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: who voted their way, are going to agree with this. Correct.
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: Yeah, that's right, Barbara. Was a six to three decision,
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: So we need to turn around two of the justices
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: that said birthright citizenship is the way it's being processed
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: right now. We think that obviously Justice Kavanaugh, since he
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: included it in his concurrence. We'll see that the new
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: law opens that door. And we are very very hopeful
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: that Judge Barrett, if given the opportunity to hear the
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: Voice of Congress, which she pointed out in her decision
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: had not said anything about this previously, will also change
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: her mind.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Seven are the Voice of New York. This is the
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: Mark Simon Show, Ken Rosatto, Inframark and on Friday, and
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: we're speaking to the Secretary of the New York State
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Servative Party, Howard Limb. We're talking about birthright citizenship and
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: a new bill that was just introduced in the Senate
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: that might amend things and so basically make everything that
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: was just decided in the Supreme Court. Flip around again,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: we'll see what happens with it. So what is different
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: here is that this first defines any person who enters
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: the US without authorization or for the purpose of engaging
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: in birth tourism to be considered an invader. And it
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: says that invaders are not entitled to have citizenship granted
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: to any children whom they give birth to while here.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: And because the fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution does not
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: reference invaders, this would preemptively disqualify them. Right, if you're
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: called an invader, the Constitution says nothing about an invader
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: getting that citizenship. So I guess this is the angle
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: it would work with.
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: Yeah, well, well, I think lawyers will focus on the
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: phrase in the fourteenth Amendment, which says subject to the
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: jurisdiction ofv We argue that once Congress has passed these
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: new laws that are currently under consideration, it will define
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: subject to the jurisdiction of as not applying to illegals.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: You know, the Fourteenth Amendment only became a part of
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: the Constitution three years after the Civil War. It was
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: passed entirely because of the dread Scott decision, which took
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: place before the Civil War, and many would our historians
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: would argue that it was a primary cause of the
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: Civil War. Dread Scott said that blacks free, whether they
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: were slaves or freed slaves, could not become citizens. Shortly
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: three years after the Civil War, the Fourteenth Amendment in
- 1:06:49Speaker 8: eighteen sixty eight said that blacks were all assumed to
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: be US citizens and applied that law in the future
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: to say those born would become US citizens. People have
- 1:07:05Speaker 8: to understand that there was no real federal control or
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: regulation of immigration until eighteen ninety one. Prior to that time,
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: you could show up off a ship in New York
- 1:07:19Speaker 8: and San Francisco, and as long as a state official,
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: not a federal official, a state official in New York
- 1:07:26Speaker 8: California allowed you to step off the ship and onto
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: the streets of New York or San Francisco. You were
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: in this country legally. And there were racial policies that
- 1:07:40Speaker 8: prevented some people from getting off those ships. But the
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: federal government didn't really take control of the immigration process
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: until eighteen ninety one, and lo and behold. For instance,
- 1:07:55Speaker 8: Ellis Island was opened in eighteen ninety two. Until that time,
- 1:07:59Speaker 8: it was office buildings in the Battery Park part of
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: Manhattan that processed immigration, mostly in a totally lazy, fair process.
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: Hey, Howard, you can you imagine and you stepped off
- 1:08:17Speaker 6: the ship, you were allowed to walk around.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Can you imagine today Mam Donnie's New York City? If
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: that were still the case, if you were from any
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: country but Europe, European country, you'd be allowed in. That
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: would be basically mum Donnie's New York City. It would be interesting.
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: Yeah, that's the state that we're in.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Today, right, Yeah, that is certainly the case. And of
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: course there would be a whole new map drawn up
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: and it would not include certain parts of the dry state.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: How do you feel? And by the way, everybody, we're
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: speaking to the secretary of the New York State Conservative Party,
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Howard Limbs is cameros Otto in for Mark today. Howard,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: how do you think a this will get through the
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: two houses the House and the Senate? Do you think
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: it has a chance of passing? And b do you
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: think if it does pass, will it be challenged once
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: again before the Supreme Court?
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: Well, this is one of those things that I believe
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: we may even see some Democrats crossover, particularly those who
- 1:09:11Speaker 8: might be up with re election soon, and they will
- 1:09:15Speaker 8: support the change in the immigration law. I would hope
- 1:09:21Speaker 8: almost every Republican will. And then, of course we'll be
- 1:09:26Speaker 8: in that labyrinth of immediate lawsuits either from people who
- 1:09:31Speaker 8: have or do not have standing to challenge it. And unfortunately,
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: the way the process works, we might not actually see
- 1:09:42Speaker 8: the Supreme Court evaluate that new legislation for a year
- 1:09:47Speaker 8: and a half to two.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: All right, we'll see what happens. He is the Secretary
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: of the New York State Conservative Party, Howard Limb. We
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: appreciate you coming on this morning.
- 1:09:56Speaker 8: Thank you very much.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: Ken, you bet have a good day, a good weekend.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Ken Rosotto, Win from Mark on your Friday. When we
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: come back, we will take more of your calls. The
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: number is one eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: ten one eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: ten for wo R.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: This is the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Ken from Mark Today.
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: Here's Ken Rosatto.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: We got a few minutes left. Let's go straight to
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: our busy phones. Let's say good morning to Will. Good
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: morning Will. Hello, Will you got yeah? Ignore the background, dude,
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: The radio is on is on delay, So just lower
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: the radio and you can talk to us.
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: Hi.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: Hell are you goodwill?
- 1:10:39Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:10:40Speaker 13: I'd just like to comment on what's going on with
- 1:10:42Speaker 13: this situation in Canada. Is this is going on now
- 1:10:46Speaker 13: three years in a row, the same.
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: Time of the year.
- 1:10:50Speaker 13: They're doing this on purpose, and yet they blame America.
- 1:10:54Speaker 13: We have the lowest, the best air quality. Why don't
- 1:10:58Speaker 13: they point the singer that China in India but they
- 1:11:01Speaker 13: know what they're doing up there. Yeah, that's is set
- 1:11:04Speaker 13: on purpose.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Well, I don't know if it's you know, the only
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: reason why. I don't know that it's on a purpose.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: If you look, it's like two thirds of the countries
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: on fire, So I don't know if they would want
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: that much to burn. You know, maybe you put a
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: little bit right outside Detroit. You're to send a little message.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: But you know, they have two thirds of your country
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: on fire. That's not a good thing. It's a big
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: chunk of the country. But it is due to their
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: own cheapness and mismanagement. Now, I know you can't afford
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: to thin every forest out hundreds and hundreds of thousands
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: of acres, if not millions of acres, I get it.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: But if they just practice the simple maintenance of the
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: forest that they used to practice. Let the loggers come
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: in and take their stuff and clear out paths and whatnot.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: That's how you manage things. And we still do that,
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: so you know, that's why you don't have wildfires except
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: for California, the liberal states where they refuse to do
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: forest management. The other states that manage their forest don't
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: have that problem. Well, we appreciate you, and thank you
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: for calling. We go to Boba, New Jersey. Bob maybe
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: we lost Bob. All right, let's go to Jane on
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: Long Island.
- 1:12:05Speaker 18: Jean, good morning, Yeah, good morning, thanks for taking my call. Sure, Yeah,
- 1:12:11Speaker 18: just a couple of things. I was just wondering if
- 1:12:13Speaker 18: anybody was aware of the Communist Control Act of nineteen
- 1:12:16Speaker 18: fifty four to stop what's going on right now in
- 1:12:21Speaker 18: the government. They were supposed to be ousted or sent
- 1:12:25Speaker 18: to another country to back to that country.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead.
- 1:12:30Speaker 18: Don't know if they've ever done anything about that. But
- 1:12:33Speaker 18: Jag the Hoover wrote a book called Masters of Deceit,
- 1:12:37Speaker 18: and that's a great book and it tells about what's
- 1:12:40Speaker 18: going on right now.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: So if I could jump in, only because we're short
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: on time just to get to Congress actually repealed a
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: number of the provisions of the Communists Control Act, because
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: in America you get to be a part of whatever
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: party you want, including communists. Sadly, but back in ninety
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: three there was legislation that amitted that just eliminated, the
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: eviscerated much of the Communist Control Act, which is part
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: of the problem. And so therefore it is pretty much
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: legal to be a communist, which is antithetical to all
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: things American. But you're right, the Communist Control Act was started,
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: in fact, with a lot of Democrat support. It was
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: mostly Democrat support in order to prevent exactly what's happening
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: now from happening. But we appreciate your call. Thank you
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: so much for calling on that one. Jeane, and we
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: go to Robert. Good morning.
- 1:13:26Speaker 18: Was I got disconnected?
- 1:13:27Speaker 9: I'm sorry?
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: How are you?
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: No problem? Robert, good morning? We got about a minute left.
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: Ken, I'm sorry to say this, but this is a
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: family show. Chuck Schumer, did it not fart? He expelled?
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Oh listen, listen, listen, there it is. We we had
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: to share some of the flatulence. You're right, Robert, it
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: was flatulence. That is translation for fart anyway. We thank
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: you so much for tuning in. I'm sorry, I'm a
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: two year old. I promise I'll never do that again.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Mark will be back in this seat Monday. Thank goodness,
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: because I love Mark two just like you do. And
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: thanks to Mark and to WR for letting me sit
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: in today. Is Ken Risotto, Do Not Go Anywhere. The
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Great Buck Sexton and the Great Clay Travis are up
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: ahead at three o'clock. The most listened to radio talk
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: show in America, Sean Hannity. Jesse Kelly's in at six o'clock.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: The very very funny Jimmy Fail is in at nine.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Mark is in every weekday ten am to noon. He
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: will be back here again on Monday, and Buck and
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: Clay after the news. Have a great day, wonderful weekend.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Carazatto in from seven to ten. WR
