- 0:00Three model filings now mark China iPhones, moving Apple intelligence toward a mainland launch. This
- 0:05is MAG 7 Daily, episode 22. Biggo Finance says users on October 14th found Chinese telecom
- 0:12records showing Apple renewed network access licenses on September 29th. Those renewals
- 0:18add Apple Intelligence plus Alibaba's Tangyi Wanchang and Tangyi Qianwen. The foldable
- 0:24iPhone Duo picked up a trial approval on September 2nd, then that same September 29th renewal.
- 0:31The 15 Pro, 16 Pro, Air, 17, and 18 Pro series picked up the same filing set that day.
- 0:39On July 8th, Apple's Shanghai Technology Company finished generative AI registration for iPhones.
- 0:45On July 15th, China's cyberspace regulator said Apple Intelligence had registered in a batch
- 0:50with Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung, and ZTE.
- 0:56Alibaba Chairman Joe Sae confirmed in February 2025 that China iPhones would use Alibaba's
- 1:03AI.
- 1:04Alibaba said Quinn would sit inside Apple Intelligence on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision
- 1:10Pro software.
- 1:11The report describes Tim Cook as executive chairman after he stepped down as chief executive.
- 1:16He was in Guangzhou on October 10th and at the Sanli Toon store in Beijing on October 11th.
- 1:23Yahoo Finance says Apple announced home view on Tuesday, and it is John Ternis' first launch
- 1:28outside iPhone since he took over in September.
- 1:32The hub has a 7-inch screen, wall or table.
- 1:35Facial recognition shows up to six people their own messages, photos, calendar and reminders.
- 1:41It runs an A18 chip and Siri AI on it can continue on an iPhone or iPad.
- 1:46It also does FaceTime, Music, and PhotoFrame duty, and it can show cameras, change a thermostat
- 1:52or lock doors.
- 1:54Setup is one tap from an iPhone.
- 1:56Apple says the home collection accessories encrypt data so only the user and the people
- 2:01they share with can see it.
- 2:03A new Apple TV 4000 is $299, up from $199.
- 2:08The HomePod Mini is $149, up from $129.
- 2:13data economy calls that speaker HomePod Mini 2 and gives it an S10 chip.
- 2:19HomeKit news says the home collection was built with LG electronics and
- 2:22Schneider Electric. The range is indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature
- 2:28sensors, a video doorbell, and a smart deadbolt. You set them up from an iPhone with
- 2:33no separate manufacturer app or account. Every product supports thread. The lock,
- 2:38truck, thermostats, and sensors are described as matter-compatible. LG's cameras record
- 2:44at up to 2,500. A supported iCloud Plus plan keeps 10 days of event video. Apple says
- 2:51camera footage and home app data are end-to-end encrypted. Microsoft's Azure Unit is where
- 2:57Gyrish Babilani, the cloud unit's president, asks senior leaders for cost ideas. The information
- 3:03reported late Tuesday. He told them to think about cutting costs by at least 20 percent.
- 3:08Bloomberg says Apple and OpenAI are heading into the first high stakes hearing in Apple's trade
- 3:13secret lawsuit. The suit accuses OpenAI of scheming to steal proprietary information about upcoming
- 3:19products. A day after public confirmation was still missing. When buzzer says Google opened Gemini 4
- 3:27Argonne on October 13th to paying developers, businesses, and higher tier subscribers.
- 3:33That extends it past an earlier cybersecurity partner group.
- 3:37Pro and ultra-subscribers get it in the Gemini app and in AI mode and search.
- 3:42Ultra-subscribers also get it in anti-gravity.
- 3:45Google is offering 10,000 scientists six months of the highest anti-gravity tier-free subject
- 3:50to eligibility, capacity, and selection.
- 3:53The context window holds 1,048,576 tokens, shared by the prompt, the thinking, and the answer.
- 4:01Input is $2 per million tokens and output is $10 per million, and both rates double on December 1st.
- 4:08After an overnight argon run, Google's engineers shipped two of six proposed code optimizations.
- 4:14Artificial analysis on September 30th scored argon at high reasoning of 53.
- 4:19As of October 13th, Argon's Valz Index aggregate was 68.90%, a first for a Gemini model
- 4:27in Valz's September 30th announcement.
- 4:31What cuts against the China filing story is in the same big-go report.
- 4:35The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus did not get the updated filings.
- 4:39That split matches the phone's Apple Intelligence already supports, starting at the 15 pro, rather
- 4:45than a wider set.
- 4:46On August 9th, Apple took down a simplified Chinese Mac guide page on using Q&N with
- 4:52Apple Intelligence.
- 4:53The page went back to the chat GPT version.
- 4:57The September 29th paperwork puts model numbers on network access licenses.
- 5:02Europe is where Google and Nvidia both put money down today on research access and on agent
- 5:07safety.
- 5:08TradingView says Google DeepMind and Google Cloud will give up to 200 European scientific
- 5:13researchers frontier models and $3 million in computing credits.
- 5:18The commitment supports the European Union's resource for AI science in Europe, raise.
- 5:24The five tools are Alpha Fold 3 for molecular structures, whether next for forecasts, Alpha
- 5:29Genome for DNA, Alpha Evolve for algorithms, and Alpha Earth Foundations for changes on Earth.
- 5:36At an AI summit in Dublin, Google said the point is to put compute and tools with research
- 5:41teams, so European innovation and scientific competitiveness move faster.
- 5:46Nvidia's newsroom committed $250 million over the next five years to UK research on
- 5:51agentic safety and security.
- 5:54Nvidia blog the same day describes the UK ecosystem moving from ambition to application with Nvidia.
- 6:01Another Nvidia blog says European cities are deploying Nvidia-powered AI agents for urban
- 6:06operations.
- 6:06The Neuron reported that NVIDIA plans about 2 billion euros in new European AI deals.
- 6:12That same roundup said about 400 scientists urged a global AI oversight body.
- 6:18These are separate instruments, Google's is a caped researcher list, 5 scientific tools
- 6:23and a $3 million credit pool under raise.
- 6:26NVIDIA's published some is 5 years of safety research, plus city agents in its blog, plus
- 6:32a deal pipeline the Neuron put at about 2 billion euros.
- 6:35The $250 million is not described as a data center groundbreaking, and the $2 billion euros
- 6:42is a plan in the neuron, not the figure on Nvidia's own commitment post.
- 6:46The 400 scientists are an oversight appeal in that roundup, not a headcount inside either
- 6:51program.
- 6:53The date these sources actually stamp is October 14.
- 6:56On the calendar, iPhone Duo pre-sales begin October 16, and official sales begin October
- 7:0223.
- 7:033rd.
- 7:03Home view ships November 13th, pricing from $299.
- 7:08Apple home collection availability begins in December with selected products in early
- 7:132027.
- 7:14Before we go, December 1st is when Argon's $2 and $10 token rates double.
