- 0:01Hello, welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for December 16, 2025. Your
- 0:05two-minute play of the day for applying
- 0:07God's word in your life. So, let's
- 0:09huddle up and hear today's play from
- 0:11John 6 when Jesus says, "Do not work for
- 0:14food that spoils, but for food that
- 0:16endures to eternal life, which is the
- 0:18Son of Man will give you, for on him God
- 0:21the Father has placed his seal of
- 0:23approval." Then they asked him, "What
- 0:25must we do to do the works God
- 0:27requires?" And Jesus answered, "The work
- 0:30of God is this, to believe in the one he
- 0:32has sent." Let me ask you a hard
- 0:34question, men. What are you really
- 0:36working for? Jesus speaks directly to
- 0:39men who are busy, productive, and
- 0:40driven. And he confronts them with these
- 0:43words from John 6. Do not work for food
- 0:46that spoils, but for food that endures
- 0:48to eternal life, which the son of man
- 0:50will give you. The work of God is this,
- 0:53to believe in the one whom he has sent.
- 0:55Jesus isn't condemning work. is
- 0:57correcting priorities. Most men spend
- 1:00their lives grinding for things that
- 1:01will not last. Houses, wealth,
- 1:03recognition, comfort. None of it
- 1:06survives eternity. Every career ends,
- 1:09every account empties, and every
- 1:11structure burns. Only people live
- 1:13forever. God came into the world to save
- 1:16sinners and prepare a new heaven and a
- 1:18new earth for those who love Jesus and
- 1:20obey him. Those who reject him will face
- 1:22judgment. That reality makes life a
- 1:25preparation, not a destination. When the
- 1:28crowd asked, "What must we do to do the
- 1:30works God requires?" They expected a
- 1:32checklist. Jesus gave them one command.
- 1:35Believe in the one whom God has sent.
- 1:38That belief isn't passive. It's
- 1:39allegiance. It's trust. It's submission.
- 1:42It means reordering your entire life
- 1:44around Christ, your time, your home,
- 1:46your leadership, your priorities. Men,
- 1:48God has entrusted us with a ministry of
- 1:51reconciliation that starts in our homes.
- 1:54Fathers are not called merely to provide
- 1:56comfort. We're called to lead souls to
- 1:58Christ. Husbands are not just
- 2:00protectors. We're shepherds, friends,
- 2:02neighbors, co-workers. They aren't
- 2:04distractions from the mission. They are
- 2:06the mission. Too many Christian men are
- 2:08losing their children to the world's
- 2:09values because they're present
- 2:11physically but absent spiritually. Too
- 2:13many loved ones are perishing because
- 2:15we're silent when eternity is on the
- 2:17line. Scripture says the fields are ripe
- 2:20for harvest. The problem isn't
- 2:22opportunity, it's urgency. So here's
- 2:25today's play. Stop working for what
- 2:27spoils. Repent of misplaced priorities.
- 2:30Believe Jesus with your life and not
- 2:32just with your words. Pray for those
- 2:34under your care by name. Speak the
- 2:37gospel to them clearly. Lead your home
- 2:39toward eternity. Men, our v vocation may
- 2:43pay the bills, but our occupation is to
- 2:46be to be the kingdom of God. Don't waste
- 2:48your life on what burns. Thanks for
- 2:50joining today's huddle. If it encouraged
- 2:52you, share it with another man who wants
- 2:54to know God better so he can love and
- 2:56obey God
