  SPEAKER_00: They run into more problems, but like I've had a couple people reach out, and it's like, I can tell you if there is something in your house, maybe like I can't say for sure because we don't know for sure, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: I started collecting more as we went, you know, try different things, and uh, so you know, at this point, I'd been investigating a couple years, and I'm thinking, hey, I got this under control, I know what I'm doing.

  SPEAKER_01: And so a friend of mine, being in the radio industry, you get to know like the police department really well, you know, because they'll come on.

  SPEAKER_01: I used to host like during the morning show, ask a cop, stuff like that.

  SPEAKER_01: So you get to know them, you become friends with them, you know, and and uh so they would tell me about some of the stuff they saw.

  SPEAKER_01: And there's this one particular case.

  SPEAKER_01: This gal was standing in her kitchen, and all of her cabinets opened at once, and every dish flew out at her, like hit the wall behind her, right?

  SPEAKER_01: And and she is freaking out.

  SPEAKER_01: And and her son, she had a 12-year-old son that would get scratches on him, like almost on the daily, and he would wake up and stand in one spot for like 10 hours, like he'd get up and just stand there sleeping, just stand there, not move a muscle, and then he'd have scratches on him, she'd have scratches on her, uh, just really, you know, really crazy stuff.

  SPEAKER_01: So she this happens, and this is like the breaking point.

  SPEAKER_01: So she finally she calls the police.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, you know, something's going on my house.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure what's going on.

  SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, she she calls the police and they come in and they're figuring that they have an intruder in the house.

  SPEAKER_01: Something you know was going on because they're not thinking paranormal, they're thinking that there was an an intruder in the house.

  SPEAKER_01: So they send the dog, you know, they couldn't find anyone.

  SPEAKER_01: They go through the house, they couldn't see anyone.

  SPEAKER_01: But at that time, they had a canine unit, and they said, Well, you know, we'll send the dog in because the dog always finds people, you know, all the time.

  SPEAKER_01: You know, it's the dog, he's gonna find it.

  SPEAKER_01: So, according to the officer that told me this the story, they they sent the dog in, and and the dog came out like five minutes later with his tail between his legs and laid down by the handler's feet and wanted nothing to do with that house.

  SPEAKER_01: We couldn't get it, go back in.

  SPEAKER_01: It was done, right?
• 3:45
  SPEAKER_01: Done.

  SPEAKER_01: And so uh the the police officer was telling me about it, and I said, Well, do you do you know this gown?

  SPEAKER_01: And he goes, Yeah, he says, Well, we had just we told her, you know, you might have something going on, but it's not anything we can help you with.

  SPEAKER_01: And we left.

  SPEAKER_01: I said, Oh, geez, that poor lady.

  SPEAKER_01: I said, Well, is there any chance that you would be willing to reach out to her and tell her that I would be interested in doing an investigation, you know, you know, if she'd even be open to that.

  SPEAKER_01: So I said, Well, here's my number.

  SPEAKER_01: Have her call me at the studio and I'll talk to her and see, you know, how she feels about that.

  SPEAKER_01: So she calls me and I tell her, Hey, uh, you know, I'm I'm a paranormal investigator, and she's like, Well, what's that?

  SPEAKER_01: You know, and I'm like, Well, I look for exactly pretty much what you got going on.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, you're you know, you said you have this going on, that going on, and I said, Well, and I start taking notes, you know, we're talking.

  SPEAKER_01: I said, Well, I stopped her.

  SPEAKER_01: I said, Hey, let's go meet and have coffee tomorrow, and you can just tell me your whole thing.

  SPEAKER_01: So we meet, and that's when I found out about the sun being, you know, being disturbed and being scratched, her being scratched.

  SPEAKER_01: There, there, then she tells me they're they're hearing voices screaming, and they're smelling the smells in their house, and she thinks it's rotten meat, and she's trying to figure out where the smell's coming from, and and uh, and I didn't know you know what from Shinola, right?

  SPEAKER_01: So I'm not putting this together that oh, they have oppression, that's what it's doing, it's trying to wear them down.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's it's it's you know, I mean, I'm not putting any of this together.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking, well, this ghost really means business, huh?

  SPEAKER_01: So, so I asked her, I said, Hey, you know, I I happen to be good friends with the guy that owned the Super Eight by the radio station, and he was gonna be out of town and he used to live there, but he you know, he had his own hotel room, and so I asked him, Hey, can this gal stay in your hotel room while you're out of town?

  SPEAKER_01: He owed me a couple favors, and I said, Do you mind if she stays at the hotel room?

  SPEAKER_01: Because I want to investigate, but I didn't want them there, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I picked her get them out of there, and I so I told her, Hey, I got you a hotel room for three days, go enjoy it, go swim in the pool, go, you know, go do your thing over there at the Super Eight.

  SPEAKER_01: And so she says, Oh my god, thank you so much.

  SPEAKER_01: We have to get out of the house anyway.

  SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be you know, awesome.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't care.

  SPEAKER_01: She's like, I don't care what you do, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: You get in there, do it, you do what you need to do.

  SPEAKER_01: And uh, one of the cops' name was Daryl, complete skeptic, like cynic, like there is no such thing as a ghosts, but we were good friends, we're fishing buddies and stuff.

  SPEAKER_01: And I said, Hey, Daryl, want to come with me on this investigation?

  SPEAKER_01: Oh, he's like, please, investigation, that whole thing, and he says, You know what?

  SPEAKER_01: Tell you what, you run around, you do your ghosty thing, and I'll come with you and I'll sleep on the couch, you just do that whole thing, and then we can leave.

  SPEAKER_01: I said, All right, because I'm like, I said, I'm being told now by other investigators I should bring somebody with me, just in case.

  SPEAKER_01: So I'm figured I'll bring Daryl with me.

  SPEAKER_01: Daryl, again, a cop doesn't believe in any of it, right by the book.

  SPEAKER_01: Mr.

  SPEAKER_01: You know, just nope, nope, stoic as hell, tough as hell.

  SPEAKER_01: I think he was also a veteran and marine, didn't mess around.

  SPEAKER_01: All right, didn't believe in it.

  SPEAKER_01: Fine, so finally the day comes, and we're we're in the house, and and she hadn't left yet.

  SPEAKER_01: And we sat down at our kitchen table, and uh she had uh off her kitchen was uh a door with wooden steps that led down to the basement, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: So the table, you know, was here, and then the basement was just around the corner, and we're sitting there talking, and I'm saying, Hey, you know, you all packed, and you know, and she's given us the rundown again, and of course, Daryl's going, Yeah, I believe you're haunted by as much as I believe whatever, you know, and kind of ridiculing her a little bit, and we hear this come up the steps.

  SPEAKER_01: It's the best thing I could do is boom, boom, boom, boom, coming up the steps, like somebody's stomping, and this door creaks open real slowly, and she looked at me, she turned pale, and she says, Whenever something like that happens, something bad happens.

  SPEAKER_01: Whenever we hear that, something bad happens next.

  SPEAKER_01: I heard it before the dishes flew, I heard it before I was punched.

  SPEAKER_01: Every time that happens, something bad happens.

  SPEAKER_01: So I'm getting a little nervous.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm like, holy shit, lady, you got some activity going on here.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm I'm not thinking like I might be putting myself in danger at this point, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm not thinking that at all.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking, wow, this could be cool.

  SPEAKER_01: So get her out the door.

  SPEAKER_01: Hey, you know, go go go ahead, go ahead, go have fun.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: Daryl goes and lays down, he's like, Ah, whatever.

  SPEAKER_01: You know what?

  SPEAKER_01: She must have something, you know, how shift.

  SPEAKER_01: He's trying to rationalize what we heard in his brain, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: He's like, There's gotta be a window or something open down something.

  SPEAKER_01: So I'm sitting there, and and Daryl's snoring away, and I hear that boom, boom, boom again, and the door opens, and I smell suddenly.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm like, did you light a match?

  SPEAKER_01: Why why am I smelling the smell?

  SPEAKER_01: You know, almost felt smell burnt.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking, is something burning up?

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's a smell, and it went away.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Well, that was strange.

  SPEAKER_01: I didn't know anything about the negative at this point, like, bear in mind, nothing, right?

  SPEAKER_01: And and so the second time I heard it again, nothing happened.

  SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm like, uh-huh.

  SPEAKER_01: I got an idea.

  SPEAKER_01: So I she had some flour in her in her uh pantry, and I'm like, I'm gonna spread this out.

  SPEAKER_01: Now, I don't know if you ever heard the investigator Harry Price, you might have, yeah, from the 30s, and so he did in the confessions of a ghost hunter, he would use like baby powder, you know, powders and stuff like that to capture footprints.

  SPEAKER_01: And I thought, well, that's what I'm gonna do, is I'm gonna I'm gonna lay this down, and then when this thing steps on it, I'm gonna be able to get my my footprints.

  SPEAKER_01: So I lay it down, and uh and I'm waiting at the top of the steps for this to this happen again with the door closed.

  SPEAKER_01: So I'm waiting.

  SPEAKER_01: I start hearing that boom, boom, boom.

  SPEAKER_01: And then that Daryl wakes up, he goes, The hell keep it down, man.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to sleep, and I'm like, Shut up, Daryl, shut up.

  SPEAKER_01: He says, Whatever.

  SPEAKER_01: So he goes back to sleep.

  SPEAKER_01: So the door opens, and I got hit by the biggest blast of cold.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, it felt like 40 below zero was hitting me full body, like woof, but at the same time, it felt like something full body pushed me, like so hard.

  SPEAKER_01: I ended up hitting the wall behind me and cracking her drywall.

  SPEAKER_01: Like, that's how hard this thing hit me.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, I flew back, and I I'm I'm I'm not cuckoo.

  SPEAKER_01: Daryl gets up and goes, I don't know what the hell's going on here.

  SPEAKER_01: And he tears out of the house, he's running down the road.

  SPEAKER_01: He's he promised he'd never leave me.

  SPEAKER_01: He's like, I don't know what the hell's in that house, but I'm not gonna hang around and find out.

  SPEAKER_01: So he's running down the road.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm there in this house by myself, and I got this whatever is going on at this time.

  SPEAKER_01: I don't know what's going on, and I'm and I'm not, you know, I'm still trying to gather what the hell just happened because I mean it hit me hard.

  SPEAKER_01: And so I gather myself, I stand up, and I start walking into the living room, which is away from that door.

  SPEAKER_01: The door slams behind me, like hard, slams, and then I'm standing there going, okay, and it just registered to me.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm alone in this house by myself.
• 11:52
  SPEAKER_01: I got something that clearly has the ability to assault me.

  SPEAKER_01: Like that, you know, I don't know if this is a warning shot or what's going on.

  SPEAKER_01: So I'm standing there and and something comes behind me again, the worst.

  SPEAKER_01: It's it smelled terrible.

  SPEAKER_01: And all it said is a whispered very softly, you need to leave.

  SPEAKER_01: Just like that.

  SPEAKER_01: And I stopped and I and I knew something was behind me, so I didn't even turn around.

  SPEAKER_01: I just said, Will you please let me get my stuff and I'll leave?

  SPEAKER_01: And it you could feel it changed, energy changed, and you don't know how defeated you feel gathering your equipment.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, maybe you do, maybe you've been in a similar situation, but I felt so defeated, like oh my god, like leaving like a scalded child, like you know, like wow, and that was my only brush with the what I would call the negative, right?

  SPEAKER_01: And that was enough.

  SPEAKER_01: When I hear negative, I'm like, I don't know, man.

  SPEAKER_01: I I don't know, that's a tall order, I don't know, but yeah, that that's uh the I'll never forget that.

  SPEAKER_01: And and again, you know, anyone that messes with that stuff.

  SPEAKER_01: I go to people that know what they're doing because it could easily blow up in your face, it could easily get tenfold worse.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's so many people out there like, oh, I'll mess with mega stuff, I'll mess with demons.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm like, dude, be careful what you wish for, man.

  SPEAKER_01: Right, you know, I found mine, my my counter was stupid, dumb.

  SPEAKER_01: I would say luck, but it was arrogance, not understanding what I was messing with, not a full scope of what I was messing with.

  SPEAKER_01: I put myself in that situation, not understanding, right?

  SPEAKER_01: Uh, so the lady, I I speak with the client, I go, I am so sorry I couldn't help you.

  SPEAKER_01: And I kind of explained to her what happened to me.

  SPEAKER_01: She looked at me so stone faced, she says, Nobody can help me.

  SPEAKER_01: I already know that there's nobody that can help me.

  SPEAKER_01: So, luckily, about a few uh two years later.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, well, anyhow, well, I'm getting ahead of myself.

  SPEAKER_01: She was able to move out of there because during that time, that three-day weekend I gave her, she was able to kind of clear ahead and be away from it.

  SPEAKER_01: She ended up finding, you know, some family because she dumped every nickel into this house, so she couldn't really leave.

  SPEAKER_01: But she ended up uh talking.

  SPEAKER_01: I think her sister-in-law, they ended up moving in with them because she just couldn't bear the thought of going back, which I don't blame her.

  SPEAKER_01: And then a couple of years after that, they're expanding the highway, and her they bought the house from her, and now it's a highway where the house used to be.

  SPEAKER_01: That's the best thing that could happen to that place, in my in my opinion.

  SPEAKER_01: And so now it's part of the interstate system.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's good, yeah, yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: That that was far as I'm concerned, that was a good thing.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I'm glad it whatever was there didn't follow her.

  SPEAKER_01: I I'm watching the board, you know, what do you think happened to the entity when the house is demolished?

  SPEAKER_01: I I didn't, you know, I mean, once it was demolished and stuff became part of the highway.

  SPEAKER_01: I guess part of me was scared, like I don't even want to think about this place anymore, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't want to forget about this house, you know, that whole thing.

  SPEAKER_01: But I mean they might move elsewhere, I don't know.

  SPEAKER_00: Like, I told you I listened to exorcism and stuff.

  SPEAKER_00: But great, you just went to the neighbor's house now.

  SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, it might, it might have, you know, because that whole block, the whole radius was bought out for this new interstate to go through or part of the interstate, so you know, a large portion was taken out, but yeah, who knows?

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, yeah, it could have gone anywhere as long as it didn't come with me.

  SPEAKER_01: I know it didn't come with me, and I'm happy about that one because I don't know what I would have done if that thing would have been screwing around with me.

  SPEAKER_00: So I mean, he yeah, I heard him speak, and they they asked pretty much the same question, what happens to it?

  SPEAKER_00: And you know, I don't want to misquote him, but I think he walks it to the light and let God judge him.

  SPEAKER_01: I uh ended up uh um years after that, I ended up talking to Malachi Martin, Father Malachi Martin, and he wrote, of course, you know, the the definitive book, you know, hostage to the devil.

  SPEAKER_01: And uh he was always he was on coast to coast a lot to talk to art and I had a chance to kind of talk to him a little bit, and and he he's like, You're you're actually kind of lucky.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, I mean that you know it was just that because then of course he goes into tales of you know things you know following you or or ruining your life, or you know, but one one thing he did say, he says, you know, people will challenge the demonic at that moment.

  SPEAKER_01: But one thing they don't understand is they have nothing but time.

  SPEAKER_01: Time is not a thing to them, right?

  SPEAKER_01: They're gonna wait till you're at your weakest before they balance.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, just because you challenge today doesn't, you know, I mean they may take you up tomorrow on it, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: So, you know, they're they're they're gonna wait until you're at your weakest, they're gonna wait until they can really infest your life, you know.

  SPEAKER_00: No, demonic's not gonna be at a pay-to-play place, so no, no, because they have to break you down, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: No, no, this was now when after I kind of smoke cleared, and and and I kind of was able to research a little bit, and that's another thing I didn't do is I didn't research the property, I had no idea.

  SPEAKER_01: So we I'm like, Hey, would you be willing to take me out there and we check out for a windigo?
