- 0:16SPEAKER_01: You gotta give us a shot! You know what?
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: The North Florida sports networks here we go.
- 0:27SPEAKER_02: Week one starts tonight in Palo Alto as the hurricanes.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: Take on Stanford on Friday night.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: I got Miami contributor Justin here.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: We're gonna look at that and many other games as we go over the lines for week one in college football.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: We're so excited.
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: What's going on?
- 0:46SPEAKER_02: Week one.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, last night you saw kind of a sloppy game, but a dramatic finish as Colorado with the big win over Georgia Tech and Mendoza's little brother.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: I think Mendoza's little brother looked pretty damn good last week.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was gonna say a a big win for Colorado just to, you know, rink.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: There was some wiggles from Georgia Tech.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: They lost their coordinator.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: He's at the Gators now.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: So I think there's a lot of of that.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: But a big win for my for Colorado just to kind of move on from playing my kid and the Travis Hunter.
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: It's like, well, you got to go out and get other guys.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you got to go out and move on and be able to reload and try to get it away from.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's still all about him.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: Anyway, we're not gonna really talk about that.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Uh Miami's taking the field tonight against Stanford, 24 and a half to line.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: A lot of anticipation, though, because you have new players.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: But I can't wait to see Mensa.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: I can't wait to see what Mensa does with the uh Bur Burcake or whatever his name is, the wide receiver they brought over from Duke.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: You pay you pair them up with uh Malachi Tony, dude.
- 2:04SPEAKER_03: You got Fletcher coming back in the backfield, dude.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: I mean it's gonna be dangerous.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: And yeah, I agree.
- 2:09SPEAKER_03: The 24 and a half, dude.
- 2:10SPEAKER_03: If you bet Stanford, you're retarded.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, especially they have a lot of guys out.
- 2:16SPEAKER_02: Um it can be a little crazy over there on the West Coast.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: And it's Friday night, man.
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: Smart players.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: But yeah, it was gonna be proper angles.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: It would take Miami just laying a complete egg to make this any kind of game.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: They're just gonna have to come out and just fumble the ball all over the place.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: Otherwise, they're yeah, yeah.
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: Other than that, yeah, this game should be over at half hour.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Miami's gonna roll.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: They're not gonna do anything complicated here.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: They're gonna run the ball down their throat and then make easy throws to their guys.
- 2:49SPEAKER_03: One thing I'm gonna say we're not gonna see any cool play calls tonight, dude.
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: It's just gonna be Fletcher down the like just running down their throats, like you said.
- 2:57SPEAKER_03: Fletcher, Fletcher, Fletcher.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: What do you think about um Minsa compared to the last two one and done guys?
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: He kind of feels uh like a Cam Ward to me.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: Where you've seen the talent, but he didn't have any talent around him, like Cam didn't at Washington State.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: Like Carson Beck was a proven veteran, you know.
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: I mean, you were bringing in a guy that you know you knew exactly what you were getting.
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 3:27SPEAKER_03: And Mensah and Duke, like, yeah, they won the ATC last year.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: See if no one can get it started.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: Duke lost to Yukon last year.
- 3:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: No, I mean, like, well, like whatever, but like if you watched any Duke games last year, like Mensa definitely jumps off the screen with talent, like Cam Ward did.
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 3:45SPEAKER_03: I I want to see what he can do with a bunch of talent around him that's on his level.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: I think there's a reason you don't go out and just buy out, spend he's getting six and a half, but they spent probably 15 almost on him to buy out.
- 4:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because we had to we had to buy out the his own.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: But hey, I mean, if you got it, if you got it, get it.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: And good.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: You know, there's no don't apologize for that.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: If they're gonna allow you to do it, I mean, shit.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: That's not even at talking about what Lane Kiffin's doing, but I like this kid.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: I think um he's gonna be more mobile than Carson Beck.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: And I think he's actually gonna be a little more take what the defense gives you than Cam Morgan.
- 4:33SPEAKER_02: Because that was the fun.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, the upside of Cam though was that too.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: And he but you don't even need that now.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Cam had to carry us that year with his insane.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, with the defense that he had that year, but now with the with the roster that this guy has, he doesn't need to be that guy.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: So I think you what you have here is just a more mobile Carson back.
- 4:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, if we can coach him up to uh, like you said, take the plays that the defense gives you, and we have his big play ability, it's gonna be a dangerous combination, man.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: I have two Heisman guys that I'm watching out for.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know why I don't have a Heisman vote yet, but um Dude, I'll lobby for you.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: I'll lobby for you, bro.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: But no, I I I I got Malachi Tony on my watch list.
- 5:25SPEAKER_03: Dude, why are none of the talking heads hyping him up for the Heisman?
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: All I keep hearing about is Jeremiah Smith.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: It's like, dude, did y'all not watch Miami last year?
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: Did you not watch the playoff?
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Did you not watch who was the the bun, the the battery, I mean, he was like the energizer bunny of that team.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: He is the engine, I think.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: And he's the guy that I'm most if I'm a defense coordinator, I'm trying to stop him.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: Good luck, because you have that's what's gonna be so hard, is you you can't really prepare for him.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: If you do, you're just gonna get you're just gonna get run over.
- 6:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, that's what I was gonna say is with your analogy about him being the engine, I would actually say the engine is Mark Fletcher.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: And Tony is the spark plug.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's well, yeah, that I meant that.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: And then he's the spark that get into the bunny.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: He's the spark.
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: Like the engine's running along at four yards a carry, and then boom, Malachi Tony gets you 60.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: All right, so uh we're taking I'm both I'm I'm taking Miami and the points.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: I'm taking that UR2.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's probably the easiest bet of the weekend.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: All right, well, let's go uh yeah, UTEP, Oklahoma as well tonight.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: Nothing to see there.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: USC will be on display tonight as well against Fresno State.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: See if they have some more fans show up.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: Um, but I they won't they're Miami fans back in the USC covering over the 21 and a half, um 41 and a half for your for UTEP.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: I'll take that.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: I don't even know.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: I just I'll take it.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: I'd take UTEP if you're gonna be able to do that's what I'm doing.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: I'm taking that's too many points.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: That's too many points on a team that hasn't bring and they can score.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: All right, uh, let's go to Saturday.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: And what jumps off uh first and foremost to me is obviously the big game is Clemson LSU.
- 7:26SPEAKER_03: But you also have the NFL practice squad.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: What so what do you think there?
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: I've actually heard a couple interesting takes on it, and on a just principled level of like college sports, I'm against letting those kids play.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: But then when you get into the minutia of this very specific case on how these kids with all the COVID extra season crap, they didn't say they were like, alright, you know, after the COVID, they were like, alright, class of 2022, you guys got five years.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: But they didn't tell them that until these kids had already declared for the draft because they thought they had to.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: So like I understand like the fairness argument of letting them come back, but I also hate that they're coming back.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: You know, like I get both sides of the argument.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: This is why you need some sort of I mean, I hate to backstabin here, but this is why you need it.
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: I mean the NFL is what it is because they have agreements here.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: So we gotta come to an agreement across the board here.
- 8:38SPEAKER_03: I would say what you need is uh the NCAA to stop being so retarded and inept.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: Well, they have no backbone now.
- 8:46SPEAKER_03: Once they once they Yeah Yeah, no, it's a that this is all on the NCAA being stupid again.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: And that's a problem, is like if you had a competent governing body, like if the NCAA was not incompetent, this problem wouldn't have ever happened because they would have foresaw this, like, oh hey, wait, there's 44 guys that we forgot to address in this rule we're making.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: So the NCAA was just like, oh, whatever, man, we're making a rule, we're the NCAA.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: Well, Clemson's getting nine and a half.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: It's hard.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: There's actually gonna play a game.
- 9:29SPEAKER_02: Dabbo coming off one of his worst years.
- 9:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it might be his worst year because even when he took over, he led him to like seven and five.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: So I'm I'm interested to see what Clemson uh brings to the table.
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: You're back with Chad Morris at uh OC.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: Bringing him back, dude.
- 9:53SPEAKER_03: Bringing him at the idiots, man.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: You got a failed head coach.
- 9:57SPEAKER_03: You got a failed head coach coming back.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: You got a failed head coach coming back to be OC, and then you've got failed NFL players coming back on the other side.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: Hey man, you gotta this is this is exactly everything and anything that will happen is gonna happen.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: When you don't have rules, and you the sport is just gonna keep extending those rules.
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: They're gonna be like, oh well, you know, why not?
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: Why can't we do this?
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: He has another year, and they're saying this is all this is because of the COVID thing, but what happens when a guy leaves early and he doesn't get drafted where he wants to go and he but I don't think the thing is is we've thought of that, but you know who hasn't?
- 10:41SPEAKER_03: The power of that being the NTAA because they're retarded.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: Well, it's just I mean, I don't think you gotta just consider they all have to be considered employees, and then this little this menage about NIL not being employees is ridiculous.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: You have some Yeah, you don't have to unionize either.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: Like that's the thing is still the treatment like employees.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: You're getting paid by your skills in a in a uh it's just ridiculous.
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: But then let kids negotiate their own stuff one-on-one without a player's yeah, without a players' union.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: I mean, just like just like when I go get a job, I don't have a union rep uh, you know, negotiating for me.
- 11:27SPEAKER_03: I negotiate myself.
- 11:29unknown: Right.
- 11:29SPEAKER_03: So you don't need to unionize and do all this other crap.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: You can put a number on it.
- 11:34SPEAKER_02: But it's but that that should be scared.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: Screw them.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Just you have to, you all the institutions have to come together and agree on it.
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: And it's gonna end up happening.
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: It's just gonna be a big two, it's gonna be another league.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: It'll eventually happen because the S the SEC will not they're gonna eventually leave, and the Big Ten will probably join them, and they're just gonna come up with their, they'll finally sit down and hammer out the rules.
- 12:02SPEAKER_02: And those will be the rules.
- 12:03SPEAKER_03: You know what actually needs to be done?
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: And we did a podcast at the moment.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: Miami, Miami and Florida State are gonna be fine.
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: But it the teams on the other teams aren't, like UCF or me and you said a couple of years ago we actually did a standalone pod episode about it.
- 12:18SPEAKER_03: Abolish conferences, make everybody independent.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: Make everybody independent because Notre Dame has an independent, they're not struggling.
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: That's so true.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: The conferences are together just to I don't know why.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: It's just seem there needs to be a coalition.
- 12:37SPEAKER_03: It's like the whole coalition from the 90s.
- 12:40SPEAKER_03: Like we don't need it anymore.
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, when you got when you got Miami traveling to Northern California for a conference game.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: That's ridiculous.
- 12:48SPEAKER_03: That just tells you how inept the conference thing is, because the whole idea of conferences back in the day was because it was a pain in the ass to travel.
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: It was super expensive to travel.
- 13:01SPEAKER_03: Now it's not.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: All these programs are flush with money.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: And I mean, like, let's be honest, like, who cares if Wake Forest can't compete?
- 13:08SPEAKER_03: Because Wake Forest can't compete anyway.
- 13:13SPEAKER_03: But yeah, back to the game.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: All right, we're uh yeah, Clemson's going with Chris Vazina.
- 13:21SPEAKER_03: I'd probably take at quarterback.
- 13:23SPEAKER_03: I'll probably take I'd say I'd take LSU just because I don't know what Clemson has, and it's in Death Valley.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: It's in it's in Baton Rouge, at night, season opener, lane kitten, all those crazy cases we'll be drinking all day.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: Something, man.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: If LSU were to go out and lose this.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's what I'm pulling for.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:45SPEAKER_03: I don't think it'll happen, but that's definitely what I'm pulling for.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: Um other big games you're looking forward to this weekend?
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: It's not a big game, but it is a game that I am super intrigued to watch at uh 3.30 on Saturday is Baylor and Auburn.
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 14:06SPEAKER_03: I think it's a super interesting game, dude.
- 14:09SPEAKER_03: You got you got the new staff at Auburn, you got the kid from uh South Florida quarterback and and you got DJ Lagway healthy for the first time in three years starting at Baylor, dude.
- 14:20SPEAKER_03: And he anybody listening to this podcast knows I've been on DJ Lagway's nuts for three years.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I love the kid.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Well, he well, you know, he still has a shot.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: So if he can turn it around.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: Dude, he's been talking to Ricky Pearsall.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Former uh USA Today player of the year in high school.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: Things didn't work out in Florida.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: Now he's gonna be a Baylor.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: That'll be an interesting game.
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: Um and then you have UCLA and Cal.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: It's another interconference game.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: Old old Pac-12 game.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: You have the the Apple Cup, Washington State, Washington.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: I didn't even know the Apple Cup was on Saturday, actually.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Um, but that and then you have Notre Dame, Wisconsin.
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: Uh Notre Dame 20 and a half.
- 15:13SPEAKER_02: I'm taking the Irish to cover.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, how is Luke's favorite?
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: Ranked opponent matchup is Sunday night.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: We'll go that that Notre Dame, Wisconsin's also Sunday.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: The Apple Cup's also on Sunday.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: Uh then you have Sunday night, you got a pretty good one.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: You got Louisville and Ole Miss.
- 15:34SPEAKER_03: I'm calling the upset right now.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: Wow, you like the Cardinal?
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: I think they're gonna be sick.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: I'm taking Louisville.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: I think they're gonna be sick.
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: They're always sneaky good.
- 15:42SPEAKER_03: They're always sneaky good, dude.
- 15:44SPEAKER_03: Jeff Braum is a hell of a coach, man.
- 15:46SPEAKER_03: Well, you have he is an unbelievable coach, dude.
- 15:48SPEAKER_03: Louisville's won nine games for like the past two seasons.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: And they have their good, solid.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: Yes, and they'll have financial backing.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: So they'll go out and spend some money, which they have.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: They have a really good running back.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I missed it.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: Ole Miss still has dudes from a team that was pretty good.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: They got Trinidad Chamless back.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be a good game.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: But I think it's gonna be the best game of the weekend.
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: I think I'm gonna go Ole Miss minus the six and a half.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: And I think that's it.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: There's no game on Monday, right?
- 16:21SPEAKER_02: No.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: No, no, definitely not.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: Not in Tallahassee.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: No, there's not.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: There's one more.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: That's Monday night.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: The only game on that day.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Monday night football, all the eyes in the football world before the NFL starts.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: We'll be in Tallahassee to see the Knolls take on the Mustangs.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: Led by the coach that I wanted instead of Mario Christopher.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: Who's still got that quarterback that took the Mustangs to the college football playoff just two seasons ago?
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Took a step back last year, but they're uh wanting big things.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: This is a chance for the Mustangs to really show them that they're contenders to Miami and the ACC.
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: This is a chance for Florida State.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: This is a chance for Florida State to be hey, this is this was our first game.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: We we stubbed our toe, but we made some bat we made we're better than we were la the last two years.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: A lot of state's it's Florida State's best opportunity to go ahead and fire Michael Havel.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean it's gonna get bad quick.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: This is this is one of those games that I had this and the Virginia game are two early conference games based on what I've seen after just week zero.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: Virginia looks really good.
- 17:45SPEAKER_02: It looked really good, dude.
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: Like really, really good.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: Florida State didn't.
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: So it really affected the way I I went from I picked seven and five.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: I'm it's gonna be three and nine if they don't in change.
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: If they if they don't beat SMU, they are staring three and nine in the face.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this game's huge.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: I think you're gonna get a better effort uh out of the Knolls.
- 18:16SPEAKER_02: I think you're gonna get you had a lot, you gotta still get a lot of new faces, a whole new O-line.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: So you know, there was some miss there were some plays where you just completely buffed like muffled it up.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: So if you correct those, you catch the ball.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: You don't, you know, you can hopefully play better.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying they're not gonna win.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: I just don't have I wouldn't pick FSU.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: There's a chance.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: I mean, there's obviously a chance.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: It's three points.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: I'm hammering the three, I'm taking SMU and the points.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: I picked FSU to win this game before the season, though.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, what I did see from FSU, one positive I did see is that they've got some good backs.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: They do.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: They do have some.
- 19:00SPEAKER_03: They got some good backs, man, and they and they've got these Robinson.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they do.
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: If they can somehow try to muster in some plays to try to hide that O-line and maybe move them around.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: Get the there's I think screen game's gonna be big.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: I think they're gonna have a good screen game.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: There was I don't think Mike Norvell's a bad play caller.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: I don't think he ever was.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: I I don't think that's his problem.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: I think he'll actually go on to be a fine coordinator after he gets fired.
- 19:32SPEAKER_03: Maybe you know, Kenneth Morris.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: I I don't yeah, I don't think he's a bad coach necessarily.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: I just think it just takes a it's not happening.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: And uh this is gonna be a huge game though.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: As bad as it looks now, if FSU comes out and wins this game, you can turn around really fast.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: Because you have another home game coming up against Virginia and you win that.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: Hey, there's life now.
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: This stretch is gonna be really hard.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: One in one out of their you have I mean, you could easily see them lose five of their next six.
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: But we'll we'll find out.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: But who do you like in this game?
- 20:14SPEAKER_03: Who do I like?
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: You know, I love Rhett Lashley, bro.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: It's gone to three and a half now.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: I'm still taking SMU.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: We had to go.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: Our rod was here.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: We got a uh shuttle.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: Well, we gotta get on out of here.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: But right around the corner is I got a fantasy draft coming up.
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: And also uh NFL season's kicking on.
- 20:44SPEAKER_02: A lot of good games.
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: We got another year of NFL picks.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: We gotta get those in.
- 20:52SPEAKER_03: Should I get fanza hit for the full season this year?
- 20:55SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 20:57SPEAKER_03: It worked out well for me last year.
- 20:59SPEAKER_03: It did.
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: It did.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: We'll find out on Wednesday, is that right?
- 21:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Wednesday's the first game, dude.
- 21:08SPEAKER_03: Everybody hyped up about this Australia game, but that's Thursday.
- 21:11SPEAKER_03: Wednesday is the actual kickoff.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I'm thinking we will do our picks Labor Day.
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: We'll have our preseason predictions as well of who we're gonna have in the Super Bowl as we do every year.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: Another season of the world's most popular pick joke.
- 21:38SPEAKER_02: I can't wait.
- 21:45SPEAKER_03: Uh, which is the start, man! Hey, Miami made the party last year.
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: Oh, I I think it's gonna be great to see improv.
- 21:59SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Let's start now to football! Well now, let's not skip football.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: I know, we gotta go through it.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: But it's uh, you know, the Rams.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Jeez, they're the favorites now with Garrett and now Aaron Darold.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: See if anybody can or the Seahawks are your champ, defending champ.
- 22:24SPEAKER_02: Still have the Niners out there.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: Good luck, Arizona.
- 22:28SPEAKER_03: And then Garcomback.
- 22:29SPEAKER_03: I know, but geez give me a long year there.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: And then some divisions just see dominance like Buffalo.
- 22:41SPEAKER_02: But a lot to a lot to go over, a lot of games to watch, 91 college football games over the weekend.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: We're gonna watch them all.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: Every single minute of every single one.
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: We'll watch them.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: We'll react to them.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: And we'll talk to you next time, right here, on the North Floor of Sportsburg.
