- 0:02Silver is at a major crossroads right now.
- 0:05We're going to look at a chart that will show you definitively
- 0:08we are in for the fight of our lives at $29.00 per oz in
- 0:13silver. What about $33 per oz silver?
- 0:16You want to sell your silver for $33 per oz?
- 0:19I'll show you where you can do that.
- 0:21And and on top of that, it's going to be real interesting
- 0:24when you consider that this place where you can sell your
- 0:27silver for $33, they're running out of silver.
- 0:31But let's go to the chart 1st and see why we are in for the
- 0:35fight of our lives. This one comes from our friend
- 0:38Oren over at the hold on a second.
- 0:42We're gonna slow down. There we go.
- 0:49OK, The silver hermit. Oren.
- 0:51Right. Silver's approaching A moment of
- 0:53decision. Guys, we are in a big fight
- 0:55right now. This is the chart of silver
- 0:58going back to March. Remember back in March?
- 1:00Let's take a, let's take a second to how do you feel when
- 1:04you remember that just back in March, we had silver around
- 1:09$22.00 per oz, OK. But look at this trend line
- 1:13going up, up, up, up, up. We can see right here.
- 1:17Not too long ago, what about a month ago, we were at $32
- 1:21silver, again, $32 silver. As you know, we've been at a bit
- 1:25of a downtrend. We did not.
- 1:27We failed yesterday. We failed to hold $30.00 an
- 1:31ounce. I warned you guys.
- 1:32I said I thought we could have a big surprise with the inflation
- 1:35numbers. And then during yesterday's live
- 1:37stream, we talked about the Fed could throw cold water on the
- 1:40situation. They have indeed done that.
- 1:43OK, Doesn't mean that everything's done, everything's
- 1:47over. It just means we're in for a
- 1:48fight right now to hold support right here at the $29.00 range.
- 1:54You see the red line coming up, the blue channel coming down.
- 1:58As you can see, $29.00 had been kind of a resistance level.
- 2:03Hey, look, if we get below 29, I'd said it a few weeks ago, we
- 2:06could go to 26. I don't think that's going to
- 2:09happen right now. We're going to be optimistic and
- 2:12we're going to believe basement dwellers that we can hold the
- 2:16line on the silver price at $29.00 per oz.
- 2:21Even 2850 per oz is OK, right? Let's go out and get an update
- 2:26on the price right now live. This is not the actual price.
- 2:30I need to press the refresh button.
- 2:33OK, Hey, not too bad guys. Gold is trading right now at
- 2:372315 dollars, Silver $29.18 per oz.
- 2:44Thanks to our friends at Pinbec's where you, if you're
- 2:47interested in buying some silver, gold or platinum group
- 2:49metals, can get the best prices, best service and a great
- 2:54selection of metals. And if you ever want to convert
- 2:57all or part of an IRA into precious metals, you'll always
- 3:01find that you get more metal for your money at pin backs.
- 3:05Give them a try. Thank you pin backs for the
- 3:07quote as well. Let's go back here guys.
- 3:10So yesterday yesterday was a weird day.
- 3:13What, what if I told you that we don't even really have to worry
- 3:17about the inflation numbers. We don't even really have to
- 3:20worry about what the Fed says. We're going to talk more about
- 3:23that later. But I also, I forgot to tell you
- 3:26we have a big special guest today, Patrick Holland is going
- 3:29to join us. You know Patrick, right?
- 3:31He's been on liberty and finance.
- 3:33He's becoming famous and rightfully so, because this guy
- 3:38can share insights with you on the silver and gold market,
- 3:41things you've never thought of. Every time I talk to Pat,
- 3:44there's like a new just when, just when you think there may
- 3:48not be another light bulb in this head or maybe your head as
- 3:51well. Pat Holland can turn on some
- 3:53light bulbs for you. So we'll look forward to seeing
- 3:55Patrick here in just a little bit.
- 3:57Where can you? What if I told you you could
- 4:00sell your silver for $33.00 an ounce right now?
- 4:04OK, last night we had a big beat down in the silver price, right?
- 4:07But, but nonetheless, I want you to take a look at this because
- 4:13when we go to our friend the Oriental Ghost, he points out
- 4:16for us that, yes, last night AG, that's silver on the Shanghai
- 4:22Gold Exchange closed at $33 per oz.
- 4:27On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, OK, silver closed at
- 4:313320 per oz. That's the physical market.
- 4:36I'm going to say it every day till the end of time.
- 4:38That's a physical market. That's not a make believe
- 4:41Unicorn fart dust paper leverage derivative market.
- 4:46That's a real market. But what if I told you that the
- 4:50amount of metal and you have to actually have physical metal to
- 4:53trade in the Shanghai Gold Exchange market, to trade
- 4:57silver, you have to have the silver on deposit.
- 4:59What if I told you at this market where they're selling
- 5:02silver for, if they're selling for $33.00 an ounce, wouldn't
- 5:05you think they'd have like mounds and mounds and mounds of
- 5:09it? Wouldn't you think that would be
- 5:10the case if their price is so unreasonable compared to the
- 5:14United States of America, where we're fighting for $29.00 per
- 5:17oz? Wouldn't you think that on the
- 5:20Chinese market, the physical market where they're charging so
- 5:23much more, $4.00 per oz more for one ounce of silver, that they
- 5:29would just have mount? No, because when we look at it,
- 5:32the vaults of the Shanghai Futures Exchange dropped to a
- 5:35new low and fell below 700 tons for the second day since 2020.
- 5:43Look at this guys. The red line is a chart of the
- 5:48amount of inventory at the Shanghai Gold Exchange.
- 5:51OK, look down, down, down. Despite.
- 5:56Doesn't that make you go huh? Like what Doesn't that doesn't
- 5:59that make you a little curious that if they're charging such a
- 6:02high price for physical silver in China, why is the amount of
- 6:07inventory they have available for sale going down, down, down?
- 6:12I don't know. I'll let you, I'll let you
- 6:15ponder on that one because it doesn't make sense, right?
- 6:19It makes absolutely no sense. But it does make sense when you
- 6:23look at it through the prism of the fact, right, that the silver
- 6:27price is blatantly manipulated in the United States and in
- 6:31London at the COMEX and the LBMA, those boys over in London,
- 6:35England, they've been manipulating the price of
- 6:37precious metals for decades and decades.
- 6:40And the East is taking control of the market.
- 6:43OK, so we're at this war. We're at a critical juncture
- 6:47right now in the silver market. Look, we could go lower, but
- 6:51remember this guys, right? Think about it.
- 6:54Think about it. It's funny.
- 6:57Almost. I mean, it's sad and funny.
- 6:59Look, I gotta, I gotta be honest with you.
- 7:01I have to give you a a confession, OK?
- 7:04I have more than half of my net worth somehow tied to the value
- 7:08of precious metals. So I eat my own cooking, right?
- 7:11I am. I am all in on the idea that the
- 7:15metals are undervalued. I know it's painful, and I know
- 7:19if we go to $26 silver, it's not gonna be any fun, but it's
- 7:23almost humorous when you really take a step back.
- 7:26You ever do that? Take a step back and look at
- 7:28what's what's really going on in the world?
- 7:31What are the real fundamental drivers, right?
- 7:33The solar demand for silver, the all the supply demand, just the
- 7:37whole big picture of what's going on with the BRICS
- 7:39countries, the fact that they still in the West are attempting
- 7:44to suppress the value of silver and gold.
- 7:47I mean, it's sad, but it's almost funny at the same time.
- 7:51OK, let's run over to our friends at the at the Silver
- 7:55Academy. This was from two days ago.
- 7:58This was before the even more egregious down, down downdraft
- 8:03in the amount of silver, physical silver.
- 8:06Remember the people that are selling it for this sky high
- 8:10price of $33 per oz, they can't keep it in stock.
- 8:14What does that tell you? Huh?
- 8:16It's kind of like if you wanted to go buy some hamburger, if you
- 8:18needed to buy some hamburger meat and, and, and the Walmart
- 8:22grocery store had it for $5 a pound, but the local ALDI had it
- 8:26for $4.00 a pound. But you go to the ALDI and
- 8:29there's no hamburger, right? Obviously the hamburger's worth
- 8:33more. Wow, what a horrible analogy I
- 8:36just gave you. I apologize.
- 8:37Shanghai bolts bleed to 8 year low.
- 8:42Vaults sink. This is from two days ago.
- 8:45Listen to this. What does this tell you?
- 8:46Vaults sink to a level where India could wipe out the
- 8:50Shanghai Gold Exchange vaults in one month.
- 8:53OK, silver bleed continues at a fierce and intense rate,
- 8:57draining the vaults to an 8 1/2 year low. 722 tons or 23 million
- 9:03oz. We know now guys, let's go back
- 9:06here real quick. We know now it's no longer 722.
- 9:10It's like below 680. I mean, it's just unbelievable.
- 9:16Now, keep in mind, keep in mind, just just one of these little
- 9:20things you might wanna keep in the back of your mind.
- 9:24There's been no significant silver discoveries on the
- 9:27planet. The world is running out of
- 9:30silver. There's another chart of the of
- 9:32the inventories. It's unbelievable here.
- 9:36Here's a great silver, starting to look very good.
- 9:38Let's take a look at this chart from Rashad, right?
- 9:40This guy's a very smart guy. There's that updraft we looked
- 9:44at earlier. There's that zone where we are
- 9:47right now, OK, And he shows it. Boink.
- 9:51Wow. He actually predicted the
- 9:52future. Boink.
- 9:53Boom. Let's hope he's right.
- 9:55OK, let's hope this level right here where you see that
- 9:58hourglass is $29.00 per oz that this holds.
- 10:02If we go lower, guys, it's not the end of the world.
- 10:06OK, I want to show you something.
- 10:07I see my friend Pat Holland is on.
- 10:10We're going to get with Pat in like 60 seconds because I just
- 10:13want to, I want to go out to Pembecks one more time quickly,
- 10:17and I want you to look at these numbers.
- 10:20OK? All right, Sure.
- 10:24Gold 2310, silver 29 on the dot. Wow.
- 10:28Took a little downdraft since last time we looked.
- 10:30Nonetheless, guys, we have $29.00 silver.
- 10:34We have $2300 gold. OK, all is not lost and I'm
- 10:39going to bring on. I need to put on my headphones
- 10:41and we're going to have Pat Holland on here.
- 10:42We're going to have some fun. Hello, Mr. Holland, and there
- 10:48you are. Hello, Pat.
- 10:49Hey there, Ron, good to see you again buddy.
- 10:51And hello to all the basement dwellers out there.
- 10:54Yeah. And on behalf of all the
- 10:55basement dwellers, thanks for joining us, Pat, you're always
- 10:58so much fun to have on the channel.
- 11:00We were just talking about the, the, the, the, the mini carnage
- 11:04that we've been having in the silver price.
- 11:07Any any insights, any thoughts you have on what what you've
- 11:10been seeing going on in the silver market?
- 11:12Well, the insights are, are are big picture, broad scope
- 11:15insights and that is gang. You have to understand it is
- 11:20literally their prerogative because they have control to
- 11:24control the price of silver. The reason being it is
- 11:27competition to the dollar. It is the only way to make the
- 11:30dollar look better then then, and I'm talking about not better
- 11:34than necessarily silver and gold, but better against all the
- 11:38other currencies of the world. This is literally what they do.
- 11:41This is how they do it, and they've done it for a long, long
- 11:45time. Long time.
- 11:47They, they, they've been at it. They do not want gold or silver
- 11:51for that matter, to do well. Do you think, Pat, that that if
- 11:56we, if we do broaden the scope and look, look back at history,
- 12:00though that history teaches us that gold and silver actually
- 12:03always come shining through in the end?
- 12:06Sure, absolutely. There's lots of examples of this
- 12:09if we could go through actual, honest to God history of
- 12:13economies in the world. Or we can even go to the movie
- 12:16The Wizard of Oz that tells us that gold and silver are the
- 12:20way. Gold and silver.
- 12:22Let me let me pull this up real quick and then we are going to
- 12:24talk about the way. But our old friend this is from
- 12:26Alan Greenspan and, and, and, and this tells us, right?
- 12:30A former Fed chief said this himself.
- 12:32He said in the absence of the gold standard, there is no way
- 12:36to prevent confiscation of savings through inflation.
- 12:41He actually said that in 1966, right?
- 12:43He probably changed his changed his tune a little bit later, but
- 12:47in his early days he was telling the truth.
- 12:49Yes, he was. And Fed presidents have been
- 12:52known to tell the truth about gold and silver before in the
- 12:55past. Of course, their mantra now is
- 12:58the US dollar. The US dollar and the Fed, by
- 13:02the way, it should be collecting gold that you would think that
- 13:06they would be collecting gold right now in the basement.
- 13:08And the reason being is because all the other central banks in
- 13:11the Eastern hemisphere are collecting gold in historically
- 13:15high increments right now. They have never collected as
- 13:19much gold as they're collecting right now.
- 13:21They have plans that include gold. the United States have
- 13:24plans that don't include gold. And that's literally digital
- 13:28enslavement through a central bank digital currency.
- 13:31Yeah, the whole, the whole idea of everything being based on
- 13:34credit, right. And the whole idea of a, of a
- 13:37dollar that under the best case scenario loses only 2% of its
- 13:42value per year really is, I mean, I mean, it, it, it's, it
- 13:47sounds, I feel extreme when I say this, but it, I just, I
- 13:51can't, I can't say any of the way it is like enslavement of a
- 13:54vast majority of the population, right?
- 13:57Like we're gonna pay you with these, with these, these, this
- 14:00paper currency that's guaranteed to lose value.
- 14:04While we benefit from, you know, we benefit from inflation,
- 14:08right? The wealthy, the ultra wealthy
- 14:09benefit. They, they don't call it
- 14:10inflation. They call it a bull market in
- 14:12the stock market or, or their, or their real estate portfolio
- 14:17does well or whatever the case may be where the average working
- 14:20person is, is is is can't even tread water.
- 14:26That makes me mad. Pat Yeah.
- 14:28And and here's the worst part. You know, this is campaign
- 14:31season. I'm not going to get all into
- 14:33politics right now, guys. I'm going to tell you, during
- 14:35campaign season, I have seen so many Missouri politicians
- 14:40literally tell, you know, the people in their messaging how
- 14:44much they care about the Missouri people.
- 14:46But I have seen these people up in Jeff City.
- 14:48I see what they do. Politicians, by it far and
- 14:52large, not all of them, but most of them literally don't care
- 14:55about you. They care about their job.
- 14:57They care about power. They care about money, that's
- 15:00what they care about and you can see it in their work when
- 15:03they're working in their state capitals.
- 15:05So don't be confused folks. You know, basically you're going
- 15:09to have to take care of yourself in this matter.
- 15:11You're going to have to demand that your state acknowledge gold
- 15:14and silver as legal tender in your state.
- 15:16I'm sorry, I tried not to get into politics because we're
- 15:19we're out of session in Missouri finally.
- 15:21Yeah, yeah, No, no, I mean, that's really the way that I
- 15:24mean, the, the basement dweller, the viewer who's joining us
- 15:26today, Pat is, is a gold and silver enthusiast, right.
- 15:30So they, they need to hear this and they'll benefit from hearing
- 15:33and, and I think most of them, I can, you know, this third person
- 15:38who's joining us right now knows that, yeah.
- 15:41You know, silver and gold are probably historically speaking,
- 15:46the best chance that they have at protecting their wealth, at
- 15:50protecting their family as they, you know, as they as they, as we
- 15:54go into the future, 'cause it's not getting any better.
- 15:56I mean, we could look at the US debt clock, right?
- 15:58I mean, well, let me let me back up.
- 16:00I wanted to throw something in here.
- 16:01You're talking about Missouri and how, let's say non concerned
- 16:08are most of our politicians are with the general population.
- 16:13I'm sure if we go to Washington, DCI mean it's even worse, right?
- 16:17I mean, they're not looking out for they're not looking out for
- 16:19the average person. Jerome Powell does not care
- 16:23about the average. And they'll they'll all say
- 16:25these things and you know, and and try to try to make everybody
- 16:29feel warm and fuzzy, but the reality is they don't care.
- 16:32And if people want to if if if their viewer cares about
- 16:35themselves and cares about their family, which they do right,
- 16:39Most of them are interested in protecting themselves with with
- 16:43things like silver and gold. And now there's some other real
- 16:46assets also. Yeah, nothing's more important
- 16:48to gang and I, you know that I used to do a lot of financial
- 16:52stuff, you know, on truth, money and freedom.
- 16:54But one thing that I've talked about is inflation is killing
- 16:58everyone's savings. So this is really important to
- 17:01understand. A lot of people who have
- 17:04$1,000,000 or so in their, let's just say their retirement,
- 17:08whether it be a four O 1 Kira or, you know, even a convertible
- 17:13life insurance policy. We could go through all of these
- 17:16aspects of things, gang, but they're all losing out to
- 17:19inflation. What is literally keeping up
- 17:21with inflation is gold and silver.
- 17:23If you don't have a very good portion of your retirement in
- 17:26gold and silver, just look at Venezuela.
- 17:29That's the future of America. It's unfortunate.
- 17:33Go ahead. Sorry, Pat, I accidentally
- 17:36deleted you for a second. Pat was saying look at
- 17:38Venezuela. That's the future of America.
- 17:41Yeah, I work with the the in the evening where I work, there's a,
- 17:46a cleaning crew of Venezuelans. Mama, she's in her 70s.
- 17:50Some people on the channel, I've I've, I've brought her up before
- 17:53and her two sons and their spouses, and it was absolutely
- 17:58horrible, right? And I have a chart somewhere I
- 18:00could dig out maybe when you're talking all behind the scenes,
- 18:03that shows the price of silver in Venezuelan bolivars, I think
- 18:07is their currency. I mean, yeah, it, it, it saved
- 18:11people's lives. And that's what that's what Mama
- 18:13says. She's like, you know, and it's
- 18:14hard for, but it's like, you know, gold and silver literally
- 18:18saved people's lives in that, in that situation.
- 18:22So yesterday we got a big, big news from the Fed, right?
- 18:25Was a big Fed day and Jerome spoke and, and now they're not
- 18:28gonna lower rates. Or maybe instead of doing it
- 18:31three times, they're saying maybe one time.
- 18:34Is it all just a bunch of BS? Pat, I, I, well, let me, let me,
- 18:37I'm, I'm just gonna say it. I think it's all a bunch of
- 18:39noise. It's all a bunch of BS.
- 18:42It's all a bunch of distractions.
- 18:44Why the Federal Reserve has become more of a public
- 18:48relations firm than a bank, right?
- 18:51I mean, they really have, right? And, and, and, and why have they
- 18:54had to become a public relations firm?
- 18:56Because they're, they're managing competence.
- 18:59They're managing, you know, they're not managing anything
- 19:01real. They're managing make believe in
- 19:04people's beliefs. And, you know, any thoughts on
- 19:07on that whole situation? And, and as you, as we talk to
- 19:10our viewer here, I mean, I know it's so confusing, right?
- 19:13Like the rates are going up, rates are going down, inflation
- 19:18and every and all this stuff. But at the end of the day, is
- 19:21it, is it just true that like, like the value, the real value
- 19:25of silver and gold are gonna, are gonna come shining through?
- 19:28It will, they always do and it it did give me the name of a
- 19:31country and they always do. In fact, gold and silver are has
- 19:34historic highs in most nations around the planet in their
- 19:39indigenous currency. However, there is something I'd
- 19:42like to ask you because United States is rolling something like
- 19:46$7 trillion worth of debt this year.
- 19:49And if they have to do it at the Fen fund rate, I suspect that
- 19:52we're gonna be paying about $1.5 trillion of interest per year
- 19:58after this debt rollover if they do not lower interest rates.
- 20:02Can the United States afford that?
- 20:03The answer is no. They will borrow more money from
- 20:06the Fed to make their interest payments on their debt.
- 20:08That's what they do. And so that borrowing more money
- 20:12into the economy will increase inflation, the very same problem
- 20:16we started this conversation with.
- 20:18It's a snaking its own tail and there's just no way out.
- 20:21Unfortunately, there really isn't.
- 20:23They can lower interest rates, gang.
- 20:25And by the way, it it's a very precarious situation for the
- 20:29Federal Reserve right now. We've been talking about this in
- 20:32truth, money and freedom since 2015.
- 20:34They're, they've painted themselves into a, a corner now.
- 20:38There is too much debt out there.
- 20:39And the problem is there's a lot of interest with that debt.
- 20:43The Federal Reserve does not print the interest when they
- 20:46print the principal. So the next following year they
- 20:49print more principal that's meant to have a dual role pay to
- 20:54help pay interest from the previous year's debt and then
- 20:57add more into the system that can be fractionally reserved
- 21:01through the commercial banking network.
- 21:03Guys, this will not end well. Now, am I saying it's going to
- 21:06all end this year or next year? No, I my crystal ball is broken.
- 21:10But I will tell you, I think it and Ron, you can correct me if
- 21:12I'm wrong. Is it a right around $7 trillion
- 21:16of debt the US has to roll? Yes, yeah, but I've heard
- 21:19different numbers, but it's a lot.
- 21:21And I and I, you said something fascinating, Pat and I want, I
- 21:23want our viewers to to to, to to consider this, OK, all this debt
- 21:29needs to be rolled. We have the 35 trillion in debt,
- 21:32right. So if, if the Fed, if the Fed
- 21:37lowers interest rates, let's say three times by the end of the
- 21:40year, right, and the, and the rate on the debt goes down.
- 21:44The problem is nobody wants it. We already have China, we
- 21:48already have Saudi Arabia. All these countries that are
- 21:51saying are, are selling our debt right now, right?
- 21:54Who's gonna buy the debt? Who's gonna buy a 30 year
- 21:56treasury note at a lower rate than it is?
- 21:58They're gonna be like, if you want us to buy your debt, the
- 22:00rates have to be higher, right? So then, like you said, the only
- 22:04option is for the Fed to come in.
- 22:07And I think they call that what yield curve control.
- 22:09It's what Japan's been doing forever now.
- 22:12And the Fed says, well, OK, nobody wants to buy the debt.
- 22:14So I guess we'll just make up some new money.
- 22:18We'll turn on the printing press and we'll buy the debt, right, I
- 22:21mean. There's all kinds of interesting
- 22:23mechanisms to make exactly what you say happened, but the repo
- 22:27window is a big one. These member banks, these big
- 22:30six member banks, you guys know them, Citibank, JP Morgan,
- 22:34Morgan Stanley, you guys know who I'm talking about, Goldman
- 22:37Sachs. What they can do is they can buy
- 22:40these bonds that Saudi Arabia sells and then they could sell
- 22:44it right back to the Fed. They'll buy it at, you know,
- 22:47basically a premium. They'll sell it back to the Fed
- 22:50for that same premium and get cash in return. the Fed is the
- 22:53buyer of last resort gang. This is called monetizing the
- 22:56debt. This is something Ron Paul has
- 22:59warned about for 35 years. It's happening right before our
- 23:03eyes, but the average American is far too busy watching what's
- 23:06going on politically, you know, basically in Washington, DC
- 23:09right now, rather than watching what's going on with the
- 23:12financial system. But I assure you, the actions
- 23:15being taken right now will cause a financial earthquake.
- 23:20And I don't know when it'll happen.
- 23:21But I'd like to float a theory with you, Ron.
- 23:23How about a Black Swan event so that the Fed has to lower
- 23:27interest rates suddenly. So for an unforeseen
- 23:31circumstance, something that happens in the next month or two
- 23:35and then suddenly they say, oh, because of this event that no
- 23:37one saw coming, we're going to have to lower interest rates.
- 23:40But guess what? Banks are popping.
- 23:43It's just not in the media. Banks are actually starting to
- 23:46go down again. And gosh darn if I can't
- 23:49remember the last one that went down.
- 23:50It went down about two weeks ago, but it was a fairly big
- 23:53bank. But there's a, there's several
- 23:57more coming gang. These banks are not going to
- 24:00stand the pounding right now. I mean people and, and by the
- 24:03way, people may ask why banks are failing, Most of it's on the
- 24:06commercial real estate side. Businesses are going out of
- 24:09business. The The new inflation is killing
- 24:11their business. So go ahead.
- 24:14Well, so, so, so and, and, and if the, and if the Fed were to
- 24:17allow interest rates to go up, right, which nobody talks about,
- 24:21but really that's what the market is going to demand.
- 24:25The market is would demand that. No, if you want us to buy this
- 24:28debt because nobody wants it and you have so much of it for sale,
- 24:32you have such a huge supply, nobody wants it because oh, by
- 24:36the way, we can work a calculator.
- 24:38You need to pay US 7 or 8% or 9% if you want, if you want us to
- 24:43give you money for 30 years that just that the banks are, are
- 24:46done. I mean, right, yeah, I mean,
- 24:48they're, they're already done right now, right.
- 24:51I mean from a if you weren't doing Disneyland accounting on
- 24:54the bank's balance sheets with commercial real estate and their
- 24:57and their treasury holdings, literally unrealized losses,
- 25:01Disney World type accounting, the banks are done.
- 25:04So if they did let the rates go up, then the whole, I mean the
- 25:08consumer everything, everything would just complete.
- 25:11The only thing they can do to perpetuate the system, I think
- 25:13we figured it out, Pat, is to print more money.
- 25:16That's all they're going to be. And and and devalue the dollar.
- 25:19That's right. That is the only thing the Fed
- 25:22has left in their quote UN quote tool kit.
- 25:24I love when they say that their tool kit, the tool kit is to
- 25:27literally, literally keep printing money and interest
- 25:31rates be darned one way or the other.
- 25:33They go up, they go down. It doesn't matter.
- 25:35They're going to print money. And The funny thing right now is
- 25:39they are not taking as much money out of the system anymore.
- 25:42What that means is people are not paying down debt.
- 25:45The reason people, entities, corporations, you name it, and
- 25:50the reason being is they can't afford to.
- 25:52Inflation is killing them. They literally don't have enough
- 25:55money to make debt payments anymore.
- 25:57And that makes what we call zombie companies, zombie
- 26:01corporations walking around, still operating, but operating
- 26:05at a net loss every year because they can't afford the interest
- 26:09payments. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they did well
- 26:11during the zero interest rate environment, but the zombies and
- 26:14it's kind of like the United States government, right?
- 26:16It did pretty well during the zero interest rate environment.
- 26:20But the party is over and, you know, the only, the only outcome
- 26:25is it's unfortunate we don't like it.
- 26:27Look, we're both, I think you and I are patriotic people.
- 26:30I love what Andrew Jackson stood up for and Thomas Jefferson and
- 26:34these guys. But the reality is the value of
- 26:36the dollars going down. I mean, there's just no other.
- 26:39I mean, it's there, there's, there's it, it's, it, it, it,
- 26:43it, it sure. You know, maybe they could, they
- 26:46could inflate our way, which is what they'll try to do.
- 26:48Inflate the way out of it. Mean inflation's going up and
- 26:51the dollar's going down. And the value of gold and
- 26:53silver, the real value, whether you measure it in in loaves of
- 26:58bread, gallons of gasoline, how many ounces of silver it takes
- 27:03to buy a house, or, or if you decide to measure your dollar,
- 27:06your your, your silver and gold and Fiat dollars, it, it's going
- 27:10up. The real value of the metal is
- 27:12going up. That's right.
- 27:14And it also because of the historically high value of gold
- 27:17and silver in many currencies around the planet, it's creating
- 27:20an arbitrage opportunity to suck the physical out of the United
- 27:23States. Yeah.
- 27:25So this is something a lot of people aren't talking about
- 27:27right now. I believe in China right now
- 27:30silver is the equivalent of $38 per oz.
- 27:34Yeah, I think that's 3333. Yeah.
- 27:37Here, I can pull it up. Hold on.
- 27:39We, we, we looked at this earlier, but let me do this real
- 27:43quick and I can show you. This is from the guy, the
- 27:46Oriental ghost. He posts this every day.
- 27:50So right there is silver on the Shanghai Gold Exchange, if you
- 27:53can see that, 3309 and then on the Shanghai Futures Exchange
- 27:5830. What's interesting though, Pat,
- 27:59we were talking about this before you joined us.
- 28:02Is that the, the vaults over there that the Shanghai Gold
- 28:07Exchange is a physical market, right?
- 28:09It's not like the COMEX and the LBMA, you have to have the metal
- 28:11on in the, in the, in the, the inventory of metal, even though
- 28:16they're, they're the high-priced provider, right?
- 28:18They're $4.00 an ounce higher. The amount of metal in their
- 28:22inventory available is like plummeting.
- 28:25So, you know, I mean that. What does that tell you, right?
- 28:29Yep. That tells you if you don't hold
- 28:31it, you don't own it. And Chinese follow that same
- 28:33rule too. I don't speak, you know,
- 28:35Cantonese or anything funny like that, but I believe they
- 28:38probably have a saying that's very similar.
- 28:40If you don't hold it, you don't own it.
- 28:42Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I want to say one more thing
- 28:44about the about the Fed and to remind our viewer of this,
- 28:47right, 'cause even this morning Susie was watching the Today
- 28:50show and she's like, oh, I paused this for you, 'cause
- 28:52they're going to talk about the Fed, you know, and they had some
- 28:54person on there saying about raising inflation and raising
- 28:58interest rates and lowering rates and blah, blah, blah.
- 29:01I think it's so critical for us to remember the Fed's full of
- 29:04poop, OK? I mean, we can remember three
- 29:07years ago when the Fed said, oh, inflation's temporary O,
- 29:12inflation's transitory O, inflation's not a problem.
- 29:16And we all know how that worked out.
- 29:18And I want to point out, Mr. Holland, that, that, that the
- 29:21Fed had also been on their dot plot for so long that everybody
- 29:25talks about had been predicting that they weren't even going to
- 29:27start raising interest rates until the end of 2023, right?
- 29:32And we know that they started raising interest rates like 2-2
- 29:34years earlier and significantly. So whatever the Fed says, it's
- 29:39like, you know, they're, they're full of it, right?
- 29:41They also say that they're looking out for the average
- 29:43middle American, which, Nope, is complete.
- 29:46I love how they say that they're, they're data reliant,
- 29:49that they make their decisions based on data.
- 29:51No, they're decisions they make are really, really based on hold
- 29:56on to the seat of your pants. You know, there is a financial
- 30:00firestorm coming because of what we did last year.
- 30:03And we have to do this to avert, you know, absolute, total,
- 30:06complete disaster. That's how they operate, gang.
- 30:09They don't know what they're doing.
- 30:11You know, these fancy, you know, degrees, you know, saying, oh
- 30:14geez, well, we're smarter than the average bear, you know,
- 30:18because we have these fancy degrees and we're, we're the
- 30:20smartest people in the room. No, these guys literally it's
- 30:23modern monetary theory now, gang.
- 30:25It's not even Kansian anymore. Kansian is dead.
- 30:28We're monetary Monet, Modern monetary theory.
- 30:31Print as you go, print as you need it.
- 30:33That is literally the way the Federal Reserve is working now
- 30:37and believe a lot of western central banks are doing the same
- 30:40thing too. However, they're going to start
- 30:42doing it in Canada and Australia next year with their new digital
- 30:47currency being put forth by their central banks.
- 30:50It's coming, gang. Yeah.
- 30:52You know, and you and you talk about Pat, how how, how they're
- 30:56kind of flying by the seat of their pants.
- 30:57I think it's also critical for us to remember that we're in a
- 31:00new environment, a new, a new geopolitical worldwide
- 31:03environment. I mean, they had a hard enough
- 31:05time, right? They, they, they screwed it up
- 31:08real good. I mean, if they're so smart, how
- 31:10did I mean, a lot of what we're dealing with now is fallout from
- 31:14the 2008 great financial crisis where they just kind of papered
- 31:17over everything. If they're so smart, right back
- 31:20in 2006, 2007, when America was a completely 20 years ago, it
- 31:26was a completely different world geopolitical environment. the
- 31:30United States exerted much more control and authority over the
- 31:34world financial system. Why couldn't they see that
- 31:36coming? So now, right now that they're
- 31:39dealing with the ramifications of having never really dealt
- 31:42with what happened during the great financial crisis.
- 31:44We're also coincidentally in a new world, a new world
- 31:49geopolitical environment where obviously of the BRICS
- 31:53countries, you have different countries that are that aren't,
- 31:56aren't aren't just so willing to just go along with whatever the
- 32:00United States says. Is that is that safe to say?
- 32:03I would say so. In fact, you know, you could
- 32:06stretch that point out into many, many different arenas.
- 32:08But guys, I'm here to tell you the Fed literally is flying by
- 32:12the seat of their pants right now.
- 32:14And in fact, it's all looking out for the Fed and the six
- 32:19member banks. That's all the Federal Reserve
- 32:21does. They don't care about the United
- 32:22States government. And but I want to remind you one
- 32:25thing, we we have to go back to 2000 for this.
- 32:28And this was when Alan Greenspan printed up, I believe it was
- 32:31$435 billion to bail out the stock market.
- 32:36I don't know if everyone remembers that or not, but we
- 32:39had a stock market crash in 2000 and another one in 2001.
- 32:44And in response, there's something called the Plunge
- 32:47Protection Team. You know, there's the Exchange
- 32:50Stabilization Fund. These are both arms of the
- 32:53Treasury. They're not official, but they
- 32:57are unofficial ways of actually stabilizing the economy when
- 33:00there's a stock market crash. Now, here's what Greenspan did.
- 33:05Because the NASDAQ took such a massive hit, he printed up some
- 33:09435 billion with AB dollars. Back then.
- 33:12That was a lot of money gang, by the way, but he printed up that
- 33:17much money. And that's what led to the
- 33:19housing crisis in 2008 because even though that money was
- 33:23placed into the stock market, it eventually got fractionally
- 33:26reserved into something, you know, akin to about $6 trillion,
- 33:30six trillion with AT so 435 billion became, you know,
- 33:36trillions of dollars. And that went into real estate
- 33:38because when the Federal Reserve prints money, that money sloshes
- 33:42around the system looking for a home and it inflates markets.
- 33:46And that's exactly what Greenspan did that caused the
- 33:492008 crisis. And then what they did, to quote
- 33:52UN quote, you know, treat the the symptoms, the problems of
- 33:562008 was to bail out the banks, the very same entities that
- 34:01caused the problem in the 1st place.
- 34:04Is there another Black Swan coming like 2008?
- 34:07I don't know, but I'm telling you if if the Fed has to roll
- 34:13over its debt at what is the Fed funds rate right now?
- 34:165.25 Ron. At 5.25.
- 34:19Yep, If the Fed, literally, or I'm sorry, the federal
- 34:22government has to roll over its debt at 5.25% interest, I'm
- 34:26telling you, gang, you'll see it in the debt clock next year.
- 34:29It'll be pretty stark. You're going to see the interest
- 34:32that we're paying on the debt, which is really about a trillion
- 34:35dollars, are getting really close to it per year.
- 34:38You'd have to collect a trillion dollars from you and me, Ron and
- 34:41all the citizens every year just to pay interest on the debt.
- 34:45This doesn't even hit the principal.
- 34:47It'll go up to 1.5 trillion, another $500 billion if as they
- 34:52roll over 7 trillion of debt at the today's interest rates.
- 34:56Yeah, it's a, it's a debt spiral.
- 34:58I mean, and you and I and I and I agree with you.
- 35:01I think, you know, obviously the Fed's not going to let on to the
- 35:04fact that that they're in crisis mode, but I believe they are in
- 35:07crisis mode. I think, you know, I think from
- 35:10a number, from a geopolitical perspective and also just from a
- 35:14pure mathematical perspective with the amount of debt that
- 35:17they have that that they are in absolute crisis mode.
- 35:22Knowing that, I mean, Jerome's in a box, right?
- 35:25I've got a box down here with Jerome in it.
- 35:27I mean, they are in, in big, big trouble and you know, and I
- 35:33think the world knows that as well, you know, and I think it's
- 35:36true what you, I, I agree with you about the fact that all this
- 35:40printed money had to find a home really since 2008, right, is
- 35:44what you said. And, and all that money that's
- 35:47been fractionally reserved. And then you look at what
- 35:49happened during the C19 crisis and the amount of money that was
- 35:52printed then where did it go? Well, it went to my house, went
- 35:56up two times. Supposedly my house has worked
- 35:58twice as much as it was four years ago.
- 36:02I mean, are you kidding me? Right.
- 36:04I mean, and oh, by the way, a loaf of bread cost about twice
- 36:06as much as it did four years ago.
- 36:08And, you know, everything's gone up.
- 36:11So. And, and then on top of that,
- 36:13though, I think the biggest bubble of all that nobody that,
- 36:16you know, everybody, nobody really is the general stock
- 36:19market, right? These unbelievable valuations in
- 36:23the stock market, the S&P 500, the NASDAQ, and, and I mean,
- 36:28are, are people just asleep? I mean, and, and you like to use
- 36:32this word nominal confusion, right?
- 36:34Like people, I mean, people are like, oh, well, you know, I just
- 36:37put money in the stock market and it goes up and up and up.
- 36:40And, and I don't care if I, if I, if it's down, 'cause I know
- 36:43it always comes back because that's all it's done for the
- 36:45last, what, almost 20 years, right?
- 36:47You just put money in the stock market and magically it becomes
- 36:51more money. But that could change, right?
- 36:53I mean, that could that could come to an abrupt ending.
- 36:57Yes, it could. And abrupt is the proper word
- 37:00here because we've seen the abrupt ending of of a bull
- 37:04market before 1987. I mean, I was alive to see that
- 37:08and and I'm sure you were too, Ron and we're paying attention.
- 37:12That was really huge and it came out of the blue.
- 37:15No one saw it coming. At least no one in in
- 37:18traditional banking saw it coming.
- 37:20Maybe the big bank saw it coming, I don't know.
- 37:22But but you're right, an abrupt end, you know, basically to this
- 37:26gravy train of printed dollars, I, I believe is actually already
- 37:31here because most people are not keeping up with inflation now.
- 37:34So that's the end of the train for you and me, Ron, We're done.
- 37:38We just have to pay more by getting the same amount of
- 37:40income. We have to pay more for
- 37:42everything. So we have less expendable
- 37:44income. And this is where people have to
- 37:46start making tough choices. And by the way, I'm a big, a big
- 37:50advocate of people using YouTube University to learn how to fix
- 37:54the stuff in their house. I'm a big proponent of that as
- 37:58opposed to paying for a professional to come out if you,
- 38:01if you were hurting for money, learn how to fix things
- 38:04yourselves. And, and it's a great trip to do
- 38:06that too. And it's a lot of satisfaction
- 38:08in fixing your own stuff. Oh yeah, yeah, I I do it all the
- 38:11time and it's absolutely satisfying.
- 38:13And a friend of mine once said, we'll get back to gold and
- 38:16silver here in a second. But a friend of mine once I put
- 38:18a new power steering pump and our Acura, I've, I've fixed,
- 38:22I've been fixing stuff my whole life.
- 38:24I love, but I'm not a car mechanic.
- 38:26But a friend of mine once said, you know, if you try to do it
- 38:29and it doesn't work, you're not gonna usually not gonna hurt
- 38:32anything. You're not gonna make it any
- 38:34worse, you know, So it doesn't, it doesn't hurt to, it doesn't
- 38:37hurt to give it a shot to try to, to try to fix it yourself,
- 38:40you know, and you're right because, you know, you a lot of
- 38:43times, and then I'll, I'll promise, I'll, I'll just go back
- 38:45to silver and gold basement dwellers.
- 38:47But a lot of times you can fix things with a $15 part that you
- 38:52buy on Amazon that if you brought your car to the
- 38:54dealership, for instance, they're gonna charge you 400
- 38:57bucks to do the exact same thing.
- 38:58I mean, it's nuts. It's absolutely, absolutely
- 39:02crazies. Oh, last week, Pat, we had this.
- 39:07We had this, this big downdraft, almost $80.00 per oz in gold.
- 39:12And the reason why was because the Chinese central bank, they
- 39:16didn't sell gold. They just stopped buying for one
- 39:19month, right? And I think Peter Schiff was the
- 39:21first person who I heard bring this up.
- 39:23He said, well, let's remember that that the the month of May
- 39:28now we know the Chinese central bank didn't buy any gold, but we
- 39:31also hit an all time high in gold for the month during the
- 39:34month of May. You know, to me, do you think
- 39:38there's a concerted media effort to jump on any reason available
- 39:43to push down and to and to speak poorly about the precious
- 39:46metals? Yes, it is because it's getting
- 39:48big in the States. It's not so much guys.
- 39:52I mean that's another thing too is, you know, we haven't even
- 39:55talked about the States and what the states are doing.
- 39:57But if you think the federal government hasn't noticed our
- 40:00efforts in the states to make gold and silver legal tender,
- 40:03you're mistaken. They have noticed.
- 40:05They know this. In fact, there's been efforts,
- 40:07you know, even though half hearted ones, because we know it
- 40:10can't work on the federal level. There's been efforts on the
- 40:12federal level to go back to a gold standard and somehow back
- 40:16up the dollar with gold. But the problem is it'll never,
- 40:19ever, ever, ever happen on the federal level.
- 40:22Never. But look at the states are doing
- 40:24it. And this is actually a very,
- 40:27very good thing. And it's very timely.
- 40:29And let's talk about one state here real quick.
- 40:32Let's talk about Louisiana, Louisiana this year.
- 40:36And by the way, we should do another show.
- 40:37I'm not prepared for this right now, but there's like 9 or 10
- 40:40states that have actually done stuff with silver and gold.
- 40:43But I do know Louisiana literally has the golden ticket.
- 40:48They got, you know, silver and gold as legal tender in their
- 40:52state. They actually got it done wrong.
- 40:55And so they're the only state that got it done.
- 40:58Now, we should talk about Missouri at some point why we
- 41:00didn't get it done. But I think most people know
- 41:02that. In fact, I think Daniel Diaz
- 41:04came on your show and talked about that.
- 41:05But the fact is only Louisiana got it done, but other states
- 41:10did other things that are. Here, Pat.
- 41:12Hey, Pat. Pat, I'm gonna interrupt you for
- 41:14a second because I'm gonna pull up the an article briefly about
- 41:19what you're talking about. This is wrong one here it is
- 41:23from silver Seek Louisiana reaffirms gold as legal tender.
- 41:28JP Cortez wrote this and I had some highlights.
- 41:32Louisiana Sound Money Bill simply affirms that any gold or
- 41:36silver coins, specie or bullion issued by the US government is
- 41:40considered legal tender whenever voluntarily agreed upon by both
- 41:44parties to a contract. The measure enjoyed popular
- 41:48support, receiving only one no vote on the floor throughout the
- 41:53Louisiana House and Senate. What do you think about that,
- 41:56Mister Holland? It makes me wish that we had the
- 41:59Louisiana General Assembly in the state of Missouri.
- 42:05There's it. By the way, Congratulations to
- 42:08them. This is a huge move for the
- 42:12state of Louisiana to protect their citizens.
- 42:14And this is what many states are trying to do across the United
- 42:17States of America. But there is resistance in the
- 42:20case of Nebraska. Nebraska actually got rid of
- 42:24capital gains tax on gold and silver.
- 42:27That's another huge move. Some people call it income tax
- 42:29on gold and silver, but what it is, is you pay a tax on gold and
- 42:33silver as the value goes up, right?
- 42:36You, you, you hold on to physical gold and silver and
- 42:39then you go and sell it. And then suddenly they, they
- 42:41want to tax your income and you made on the difference from your
- 42:44purchase price versus the sale price.
- 42:47So you, you got to get rid of that when you do legal tender
- 42:49too. Nebraska is clearly moving to
- 42:52legal tender and they got done what they thought they could get
- 42:55done in 2023 or I'm sorry, 2024, which was get rid of capital
- 43:00gains tax. So any states that are actually
- 43:03moving in this direction and, and I have been involved in that
- 43:06the Citizens for Sound Money have been involved in this and
- 43:10others. But the fact of the matter is
- 43:12this is the only way I have thought about this for decades,
- 43:17gang, decades and decades. This is the only way to protect
- 43:20citizens from inflation from and now from the threat of a central
- 43:25bank digital currency. This is it.
- 43:27This is all you got. This is why the, the Eastern
- 43:30hemisphere is actually collecting gold in their central
- 43:33banks gang. This is why they see it too.
- 43:36Yeah, well, and, and, and, and, you know, I think it's wherever,
- 43:41whatever state, right, most and, and not everybody who's with us
- 43:44is in the United States. A lot of people are maybe in a
- 43:47country that that holds gold and silver in a different regard,
- 43:51but probably 80% of the people. So for the viewer, I'll ask you
- 43:56if you are in the United States and if you want to hold silver
- 44:02and gold to protect yourself, to protect your family, then this
- 44:06legal tender legislation is, is exciting and it's, and it's
- 44:09happening state by state by state.
- 44:12I know it's probably not the best analogy, but I, to me, it
- 44:15feels like a lot like, like, like when marijuana was
- 44:19legalized throughout the country, right?
- 44:21It was little by little by little.
- 44:23And then suddenly, even though on a federal level it's not now,
- 44:26it's pretty much been been accepted in, in many, many
- 44:30states throughout the country. And that's what it feels like is
- 44:33happening with the gold and silver legal tender legislation.
- 44:35It's, you know, it's not all gonna happen in one year.
- 44:38But you know, I think Wisconsin passed some type of legislation.
- 44:42There's been all types of these little pieces that are coming
- 44:45together protecting people's constitutional right to use
- 44:49silver and gold as legal tender. That's right.
- 44:52And so that makes Louisiana officially the 6th state.
- 44:58We're hoping it would be Missouri.
- 44:59The the weird part is, gang, I'm, I've been in touch with
- 45:03some politicians in other States and they're getting this stuff
- 45:08done without even a massive grassroots effort, without any
- 45:12grassroots effort whatsoever whatsoever.
- 45:15In fact, when I was talking to representative in Arkansas
- 45:18talking about how they got it done so easily and so quickly,
- 45:21they said it just is common sense.
- 45:24There was no resistance to this in in Arkansas.
- 45:27There was none in Tennessee. There was none in Louisiana.
- 45:29There was none in Alabama last year.
- 45:31There's just no resistance in Missouri.
- 45:34It's political resistance. It's a Dean Plocker who is
- 45:37actually running for Lieutenant governor, decided single
- 45:40handedly for two years in a row that the state of Missouri
- 45:42cannot have silver and gold as legal tender.
- 45:45He made the decision. He did this unilaterally.
- 45:48Dean Plocker. And so at any rate, Dean Plocker
- 45:52has termed out Gang so he will not be Speaker of the House next
- 45:55year. So we could see what we can get
- 45:57done with Dean Plocker finally gone.
- 46:00And so this is literally what it was, gang.
- 46:04It was a single man deciding that Senator Eigel, who
- 46:08sponsored the bill, can't have a win because he's running for
- 46:12governor and Dean Plocker hates him.
- 46:15That's literally what it came down to.
- 46:17That's how petty things are. And one more thing I'd like to
- 46:19say, you know, before we get off the subject, I want to make sure
- 46:22it's covered. Daniel Diaz came to help us here
- 46:24in the state of Missouri with Citizens for Sound Money.
- 46:27He has never seen anything as dysfunctional as he's seen in
- 46:31the Missouri General Assembly. Never.
- 46:34Never. He's been to a lot of states,
- 46:35lobbied in a lot of states. I don't lobby in other states,
- 46:38gang. I make a lot of phone calls to
- 46:39other states. I'm, I may or may not have made
- 46:42a trip to a capital here and there close by Missouri, but by
- 46:46far and large, I do my work by phone and by e-mail and by
- 46:49video, by video conferencing. And the fact of the matter is I
- 46:55have had an easier time dealing with most other states than I
- 46:57have dealing with my own. But it's because of the power
- 47:00brokers like Dean Plocker, who literally refused gold and
- 47:04silver legal tender in the state of Missouri.
- 47:06By the way, I'm saying this very deliberately, gang.
- 47:09Dean Plocker single handedly decided for the state of
- 47:12Missouri, we can't have gold and silver.
- 47:14And the reason being is because he hates the sponsor, Bill
- 47:18Eigel, who is running for governor.
- 47:20That's why. So that's how petty things can
- 47:22get in Missouri. Absolutely petty.
- 47:24So remember this, Dean Plocker's running for Lieutenant governor
- 47:27in the state of Missouri. He's he has shown how petty he
- 47:31is. Do we want him in his Lieutenant
- 47:33governor? Absolutely not.
- 47:35You know, pick someone else. In my opinion.
- 47:38By the way, I don't tell anyone who to vote for, but I tell
- 47:40people who not to vote for, you know, all the time because I
- 47:44have experience up at the Capitol.
- 47:45I know all these players. I know these people.
- 47:48And for that reason, a lot of people are asking me who to vote
- 47:51for. But I generally just say who not
- 47:53to vote for on our live streams. I'll tell you who I am voting
- 47:56for, but I don't endorse folks. But so you need people in your
- 48:00General Assembly. And by the way, Ron, you and I
- 48:03should plan on probably between Thanksgiving and Christmas, you
- 48:08and I should plan on doing a special one hour episode after
- 48:12elections are over about getting gold and silver legislation in
- 48:16your state. And actually, you know.
- 48:18Step by step guide, we can provide you all the materials to
- 48:22make it real easy for you. Every state should be working
- 48:25towards this. Or it's legal tender.
- 48:27Yeah, because the world is working towards it.
- 48:29You know, we were, we were, we were talking anyway.
- 48:32Yeah, the Eastern world. Well, because, you know, we're
- 48:35talking about how in the United States this is, is starting to
- 48:39catalyze, right? It feels like there's more and
- 48:41more people waking up, right. And we know state by state
- 48:45efforts of people like you and Daniel Diaz from Citizens for
- 48:48Sound Money, it's growing in the States.
- 48:50But I, I wanna run through this list.
- 48:52There's just some recent headlines that I've seen.
- 48:55We know in China, right? Hundreds of thousands of people
- 48:58are lining up at times to buy physical gold.
- 49:02There's been some recent reports in Vietnam.
- 49:05I've got I I pulled up a couple live stream to the Vietnamese,
- 49:09the Vietnam Vietnamese newspaper showing people lining up at the
- 49:13banks because they can buy physical gold.
- 49:17Korea has has now has these like are starting to put the gold
- 49:22vending machines in their convenience stores.
- 49:24And interestingly enough, North or I'm sorry, South Korea has
- 49:29more convenience stores than anywhere else on the planet.
- 49:32People, all young people, young people are buying this gold all
- 49:37over the world, right? It's happening all over the
- 49:40place and starting to, I think catalyze here in the United
- 49:43States and it's and it's been it was part of our history.
- 49:46I mean, we gotta remember, right, like we were, we were a
- 49:49country that was based on gold and silver.
- 49:52And during that period, right, the United States accomplished
- 49:57economically what would have never been accomplished in the
- 50:02history of the planet. So, you know, going back to some
- 50:04type of gold backed, silver backed system, it, I think now
- 50:10it's like, it's like, oh, you're, you're acted like an,
- 50:12you're treated like an outcast or, or whatever the case would
- 50:15be. Well, it worked pretty darn
- 50:16well, right? And it's worked pretty well for
- 50:18other countries throughout history as well.
- 50:20What about the Wizard of Oz? Pat, what are your, what are
- 50:23your thoughts on the, the, the the classic movie that before it
- 50:27was a movie was a book, you know, that really, I think had a
- 50:32lot to do with the struggles with silver and gold in this
- 50:35country. Yes, in the, in the 1890s, Frank
- 50:38Baum, I, I, I think it's L Frank Baum is the author, I think of
- 50:42The Wizard of Oz. And I do believe it might be the
- 50:44year 1900 or 1901 that the book came out, The Wizard of Oz.
- 50:48But it was based on what was going on in the presidential
- 50:51election cycle of 1896 because silver was temporarily
- 50:56demonetized. So in in in the 1890s, they were
- 51:00talking about doing that and keeping on a very restrictive
- 51:03gold standard. The people wanted silver.
- 51:07They were OK with gold too, but they definitely wanted silver.
- 51:10It was much easier to transact with for smaller transactions.
- 51:14So the, you know, that's The thing is the Ruby slippers on
- 51:18Technicolor, you know, actually were supposed to be silver
- 51:21slippers because that's what they were in the book.
- 51:23But silver did not show up as well in color back then with the
- 51:28technology they had as Ruby the eye popping Ruby slippers.
- 51:33Interesting. So that's what it was, but the
- 51:36the fact of the matter is silver will save you, silver will bring
- 51:40you home. And so that was the kind of the
- 51:43message in the book. And so the.
- 51:46So the yellow, so the so the yellow brick road.
- 51:49And, and it was my understanding, and correct me if
- 51:51I'm wrong here, that at the time the big bankers wanted gold.
- 51:56And the reason the big bankers wanted gold was because the big
- 52:01European bankers, who at the time, this was before World War
- 52:04One and World War 2, the European bankers were kind of
- 52:07the equivalent of what the United States is now, right?
- 52:10They were the world hegemony. And they were pushing the
- 52:13American bankers to, to, to be more focused on a gold backed
- 52:18system 'cause that would have benefited them as well.
- 52:21But it's, pardon my language, screwed over the average
- 52:25American, who at that time was generally a farmer, as I
- 52:28understand it. Right, that's correct.
- 52:31So the yellow brick road was this this idea they were trying
- 52:34to lead the Dorothy's of the world who was a farm girl,
- 52:38right? Yeah.
- 52:39The. Average person.
- 52:40Yeah, the followed followed the yellow brick road to the Emerald
- 52:43City, and then when they got there, they realized the man
- 52:47behind the curtain was a dirty banker, right?
- 52:49Sure, sure. As a dirty banker, you know, it
- 52:51was a facade of prosperity in in the the land of Oz, the Wizard
- 52:57of Oz OZ short for ounces and you know that's you know, it's
- 53:04an abbreviation for Oz, which is the measure for gold and silver
- 53:08speak to the economic policies and the illusions of wealth that
- 53:12dominated during bombs time. This representation of the
- 53:17economic system in the quest for financial stability kind of
- 53:21reveals the complexities of the American dream and the
- 53:24challenges of achieving at the landscape marked by inequality
- 53:27and illusion. I meant this was the Wizard of
- 53:30Oz was literally a slice of history that basically keeps
- 53:36repeating over and over and over again.
- 53:39And the reason it does, and it's so relevant, whether or not
- 53:42you're you're living in America, it doesn't matter the monetary
- 53:46system effects you. It doesn't matter what country
- 53:49you're in and the world reserve currency effects you, and it
- 53:52doesn't matter what country you're in.
- 53:54So this story still remains pertinent today, and it always
- 53:58will be. And so, but yeah, there was talk
- 54:01of getting off a silver standard.
- 54:03And that's why Dorothy, the average person, had the silver
- 54:06slippers that could always save her.
- 54:08They always had the capability of saving her as an individual.
- 54:12And she just didn't know how to use it.
- 54:15So she had to be taught by, you know, the the good witch
- 54:18Gwyneth, I believe, you know, literally how to use silver to
- 54:23save yourself. And also, you know, there's a
- 54:26lot of underlying tones in that movie.
- 54:28But it was based on what was happening in 1896 in the
- 54:31presidential election cycle. That's what it was truly based
- 54:34on. And, and, and one of the
- 54:35candidates got got assassinated, which that was very one of the
- 54:40guys who was in favor of going back to the silver at the same.
- 54:43Time I didn't know he was assassinated.
- 54:45I I knew he died. But was shot or or well, OK,
- 54:48maybe maybe I may have misspoke there.
- 54:50So I want to clarify that for the audience.
- 54:52But he died shortly after. It was very, let's say there's
- 54:57there's a an air of suspicion over his death, is what I read,
- 55:01Yeah. Sure.
- 55:02And so at any rate, when you're watching The Wizard of Oz, you
- 55:06know, wonderful tale, just remember it was based on
- 55:09political and economic heat upheaval in 1896.
- 55:13That's what the story was based on.
- 55:14And it was based on gold and silver and how literally silver
- 55:19can save you just like it saved Dorothy in the end.
- 55:22She just didn't understand silver.
- 55:24She didn't understand how important it was intrinsically.
- 55:27She didn't understand, you know, basically the the fact that it's
- 55:31used in industry. In fact, they were starting to
- 55:33use silver and industry back then because they were making
- 55:35film with silver. The silver screen.
- 55:38They made movie screens in the early 1900s basically
- 55:42impregnated with silver. So you know, they that mirror
- 55:46like thing going on there. That's why we still call it to
- 55:49this day the silver screen that has nothing to do with silver
- 55:52anymore in the screens they, you know, project movies on to but
- 55:55but still it's in your TV screen gang.
- 55:58So you still have the silver screen at home.
- 56:00But this is the importance. Go ahead.
- 56:02Go ahead. No, you go ahead.
- 56:03No, this is the importance of the lessons we should learn from
- 56:07the movie The Wizard of Oz, which was based on a book.
- 56:09Now, it's an entertaining film. I get that.
- 56:12But there's so many lessons in there.
- 56:14And for those who have not read the book, I do recommend you
- 56:17read the book if you want to get, you know, some of the
- 56:19deeper meanings that that that Baum was trying to get across in
- 56:23that timeless book that. Timeless class?
- 56:26Yeah, I think 99% of people including me that have watched
- 56:29The Wizard of Oz that have no idea that what it was really
- 56:33truly stating. Do you have 5 more minutes pack
- 56:36'cause I have one more subject I wanna cover with you and get
- 56:39your opinion on this one. One of my viewers, well we're
- 56:41we're gonna talk about skyrocketing and demand for
- 56:44silver. OK, possibly skyrocketing prices
- 56:47as we go into the next decades. But one of my viewers pointed
- 56:51out this idea and I don't know if it was original to him or it
- 56:54doesn't really matter, but that that oil and as you were talking
- 56:57about the industrial uses of, of silver just coming onto the
- 57:01scene then. But oil really around the 1920s
- 57:05became like oil was nothing up to that point, not very
- 57:09important. But oil over the last 100 years
- 57:12from 1924 through today has become like the base of the
- 57:16world economy, right? The the energy source, the used
- 57:20in plastics, all this stuff. This gentleman brought up this
- 57:23idea that that silver going into the next 100 years could almost
- 57:27become like the new oil, right? And if you think about it, it
- 57:31does make sense, right? Because silver now is being used
- 57:34in solar panels. Like unbelievable amounts of,
- 57:38of, of silver are being used up in solar panels.
- 57:40It's used in everything electronic and electronics are
- 57:43permeating every corner of our lives, he said.
- 57:48He said silver, his prediction is like silver could become the
- 57:52new oil. Any thoughts on that one?
- 57:55Absolutely, it's the second most useful commodity on the planet
- 57:57after oil. Oil's number one gang silver's
- 58:01number two. And by the way, hemp is #3 just
- 58:04in case, you know, that's the packing order.
- 58:06And we're talking about the versatility of, of, of minerals
- 58:10or, you know, basically resources that we have in the
- 58:13planet. Oil is number one.
- 58:15It's incredibly versatile. It just, it's not just for
- 58:18getting your plane to and fro and your car to and fro.
- 58:21Oil is plastic, oil is pharmaceutical.
- 58:24I mean, we could. Go on fertilizer, Yeah.
- 58:26That's right. Yeah.
- 58:28But as we go ahead, well, I mean, Dan, but as we go into
- 58:31this next 100 years and we look at like where is energy gonna
- 58:34come from? Go ahead.
- 58:36Yeah. That's right.
- 58:37That's exactly right. And, and I have got a tail for
- 58:39you and a warning. Everyone's seeing their energy
- 58:43prices go up. My wife and I were talking about
- 58:46our energy bill recently, electricity bill.
- 58:49We're on a Co-op and our, we, we're getting all hit with all
- 58:53kinds of new fees and increasing prices in electricity.
- 58:57What you may not know is this is a federal mandate for the prices
- 59:03of electricity to go up. Where is the extra money going
- 59:07when it's literally federal red tape or EPA regulation that's
- 59:12causing electricity prices to go up?
- 59:14I can tell you exactly where it's going.
- 59:16It's not going to make you happy, or it may make you happy.
- 59:19We're subsidizing solar panels. Remember what I was talking
- 59:22about? When the the corporations, the
- 59:24big corporations and the rich people and the bankers never pay
- 59:28full price for anything ever, They get a discount, right?
- 59:32Well, that's exactly what's happening.
- 59:34They're getting a discount on solar panels and that discount
- 59:38is coming right out of your wallet in the extra subsidies
- 59:41that you are paying your electric company.
- 59:45So silver for solar panels is being directly, the price of
- 59:49silver is being directly affected by this.
- 59:52So this is something a lot of folks may not know about, but
- 59:55This is why your prices have increased for electricity.
- 59:59Is your subsidizing the people getting silver, Believe it or
- 1:00:04not. So Ron, it's directly linked.
- 1:00:07So thank you for bringing that up.
- 1:00:08I probably would have forgot about that otherwise.
- 1:00:10Yeah, yeah. And the number of of solar
- 1:00:12panels and the most recent data I read is there's about 2/3 of
- 1:00:16an ounce of silver per solar panel using the using the
- 1:00:20current kind of dominant technology.
- 1:00:22But this next level, I think it's top con is the next type of
- 1:00:26panel gonna come out. We'll use some people say up to
- 1:00:2950% more, but let's just say there's like an ounce of silver
- 1:00:32eventually in every solar panel. And Jim, one of my other viewers
- 1:00:37brought up a great point. He works in the electric field.
- 1:00:39He said you got to remember too, when that silver goes into that
- 1:00:43solar panel, you can say bye bye to it for at least 15 or 20
- 1:00:47years, right? And we don't know that we'll
- 1:00:49ever be able to get it back out of that solar panel.
- 1:00:51And when you look at the amount of panels it being manufactured
- 1:00:56in China and India right now, it's staggering.
- 1:01:00And you, and when you think about India, let's just look at
- 1:01:02India quickly alone. India has like the, the, the
- 1:01:06most rapidly expanding consumer class in the world, right?
- 1:01:10The Indian economy is doing well.
- 1:01:11You got hundreds of millions of people that are suddenly moving
- 1:01:16from huts to little houses. And guess what they want?
- 1:01:19They want electricity. And what's the easiest way for
- 1:01:22them to get electricity, right? Put some solar panels on the
- 1:01:25roof and run a wire and they have electricity.
- 1:01:28It's like instantaneous, it's clean, right?
- 1:01:31So this that this demand for for silver, for solar panels will
- 1:01:36likely just continue to explode. Yep, and just so you remember,
- 1:01:41the folks out here that are paying the sky high electricity
- 1:01:44bills are literally helping to keep the price of silver down.
- 1:01:49Believe it or not, this is the mechanism they put in place.
- 1:01:52You and I, Ron, by paying higher electricity bills are
- 1:01:55subsidizing the undercutting of the actual value of silver.
- 1:01:59These are the kinds of tactics they use, gang, whether it be
- 1:02:03central banks, businesses, government, but the Subs, the
- 1:02:07subsidizing of solar panels is not a new thing.
- 1:02:09They've been doing that for quite some time now.
- 1:02:11But that is also a way to keep the, the silver gold ratio nice
- 1:02:16and high. I mean, what is it right now,
- 1:02:18like 80, you know, 85 or something right now, Silver gold
- 1:02:22ratio. Yeah, around there, yeah.
- 1:02:25It's absolutely insane gang. It should never have been that
- 1:02:28high. And even at its worst in
- 1:02:30America, the ratio was 16 to one, you know, basically when we
- 1:02:36were still on a precious metal standard.
- 1:02:38So, yeah, silver is getting whipped and, you know, and, and
- 1:02:42being taken to the woodshed daily by the United States
- 1:02:45government. I want to remind you all that,
- 1:02:48and this is once again from a guy who's been looking at this
- 1:02:50for a long time, You have to remember now the the COMEX is
- 1:02:55controlled by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, which is
- 1:02:58controlled by the Treasury. So actually, the lineage goes
- 1:03:02directly to the executive branch of the United States government.
- 1:03:05That's the president of the United States.
- 1:03:07It doesn't matter who the president is.
- 1:03:09Silver and gold are manipulated, particularly silver.
- 1:03:11Yeah. Yeah, it doesn't.
- 1:03:14It doesn't matter if it's the Democrat or Republican, they're
- 1:03:16gonna they're gonna keep pushing down the price of silver.
- 1:03:19And I know John Little at the silver Academy's dug in and,
- 1:03:23and, and even like the defense industry needs massive amounts
- 1:03:26of silver, the space industry needs massive amounts of silver.
- 1:03:31Like everybody needs massive amount.
- 1:03:32It just doesn't it just it. And I know it's frustrating for
- 1:03:36me and for I know you're a silver.
- 1:03:38I mean, to me, I just kind of keep a long term generational
- 1:03:41view that the price of silver, the value and at the price, you
- 1:03:46know, I mean the price. Who knows what what, who knows
- 1:03:48what a dollar is gonna be worth 15 or 20 years from now or five
- 1:03:51years from now, Who knows but that the real value of silver is
- 1:03:55there. And you know, it's just insane
- 1:03:57too, Pat, when you think about the fact that there's less and
- 1:04:00less silver coming out of the ground every year.
- 1:04:02I mean, they can't find it. There's no, there's no money.
- 1:04:06This is. And then I promise we'll, we'll
- 1:04:08wrap this up, but there's no, there it, it makes no sense to
- 1:04:11me that the entire market capitalization of the entire
- 1:04:15silver mining industry is less than 50 after a day like today,
- 1:04:20probably less than $14 billion. The market cap of GameStop was
- 1:04:26over that last week, right? The market cap of Home Depot,
- 1:04:29and I know it's a big chain about hardware stores, but it's
- 1:04:32$300 billion. That means that the entire
- 1:04:36silver mining industry is, is worth less than 4% of the value
- 1:04:41of Home Depot, a big box hardware store.
- 1:04:44I mean, that's right. It's, it's just insane.
- 1:04:47So there's no money going into it.
- 1:04:49And you know, and then you got Mexico who's who's, who's like
- 1:04:53doing everything they can to stop any mining development in
- 1:04:57their country. I mean, the Mexico's the number
- 1:04:59one provider of silver in the world production.
- 1:05:02There's down like almost 30% in the last two years.
- 1:05:05It doesn't it's it's crazy. It's absolutely.
- 1:05:08Well, you talked about silver being the energy of the future.
- 1:05:10Mexico realizes this too. And they have literally, they
- 1:05:15have underground banks, you know, because they have so much
- 1:05:18silver underneath their soil. They want to hold on to that.
- 1:05:22And if it's mined out, it is much more likely it's going to
- 1:05:25actually enter the system, which is not what they want at this
- 1:05:28time. They want to hold on to the
- 1:05:31silver that they have until it's really worth what it's truly
- 1:05:34worth and you know, in terms of pesos, dollars or whatever the
- 1:05:39next World reserve currency will be.
- 1:05:41Yeah, Mexico. Is smart and they have a lot of
- 1:05:44oil too. Mexico is just is just resource
- 1:05:47rich. They have a lot of stuff in
- 1:05:50Mexico, Mexico. And by the way, I foresee a time
- 1:05:53when we're bowing to Mexico because they have all the wealth
- 1:05:57they have all the oil, they have all the silver.
- 1:05:59This is the energy gang, the energy that moves the planet and
- 1:06:03Mexico's got it in spades. So, you know, this is something
- 1:06:07that the United States knows, understands, and that's why we
- 1:06:11try to keep Mexico as a friend. And also, Mexico has been
- 1:06:15exploited for years for its cheap labor and for its
- 1:06:18resources. But the new Mexican government,
- 1:06:22or at least in the last five years, have anticipated this has
- 1:06:25to stop because they are the energy kings of the future.
- 1:06:29They have oil and they have. Silver, yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:33And silver is in a lot of ways, a big component at minimum of
- 1:06:38the energy of the future, but it's also obviously a massive
- 1:06:42component of the technology revolution going on in the world
- 1:06:46as well. It's gonna.
- 1:06:47It's gonna be an interesting ride.
- 1:06:49Pat. We've had 900 people join us.
- 1:06:51That's massive. Yeah, I know.
- 1:06:53Everybody. Everybody, please say thank you
- 1:06:56to Pat in the comments section. If you wanna learn more about
- 1:06:59Pat, I have a link to his organization in the description.
- 1:07:04Pat, you wanna give everybody a a little.
- 1:07:06A little. First look, want to let you guys
- 1:07:10know and thank you for that run. Want to let you guys know I will
- 1:07:14be literally in New Hampshire for a week and it starts next or
- 1:07:19this coming up Sunday all the way through the a lot of folks
- 1:07:23would recognize that time frame. That is what they call Pork Fest
- 1:07:27or Porcupine Fest. It's a libertarian thing.
- 1:07:30Now I do not associate with the the Libertarian Party.
- 1:07:34I have lots of libertarian friends, but but Daniel from
- 1:07:38Citizens for Sound Money and myself and many others like Rob
- 1:07:43Kines is going to be there. Keens and are going to be there
- 1:07:47actually with the sound money management machine in our tent.
- 1:07:53So we're actually introducing a lot of folks to Sound Money or
- 1:07:57helping them with legislative efforts, basically spreading the
- 1:08:01word about Sound Money. And we're going to have a live
- 1:08:04stream on, not this Saturday, but next Saturday, and that will
- 1:08:09be on Citizens for Sound Money's YouTube channel, and it's going
- 1:08:12to be a Yuba Tuba Thon. We're going to have a lot of
- 1:08:14really, really cool people. Come on, Ron, I think you may
- 1:08:17know several of them personally. You may even be one of them,
- 1:08:22actually. Yeah, I think they, they, I
- 1:08:25talked with Daniel this morning. I think I'll be on there and
- 1:08:27then I'll be doing a live stream on Thursday morning, I think
- 1:08:319:15. With Central.
- 1:08:33With Adam Band. Right.
- 1:08:34With Adam and Dan, you'll be on there.
- 1:08:36So it's going to be, it's going to be really exciting.
- 1:08:40If people want to support you, it's the Missouri Freedom
- 1:08:43Initiative. Is that right?
- 1:08:44That's right. And we don't take financial
- 1:08:46donations, gang. We're not that kind of
- 1:08:48organization. But please do if you're,
- 1:08:50especially if you're in the state of Missouri or if you're
- 1:08:53in another state and you want to get gold and silver legislation
- 1:08:57done in your state, one thing you can do is sign up to our
- 1:09:00e-mail list. There's no charge and we don't
- 1:09:02sell or share your information with anybody.
- 1:09:04Get on the e-mail list. And we do talk about other
- 1:09:07things other than silver and gold, but that's our top
- 1:09:09priority legislatively with the Missouri Freedom Initiative and
- 1:09:13getting depository in the state of Missouri.
- 1:09:15So that's Missouri Freedom Initiative's top priority and
- 1:09:18Citizens for Sound Money are doing this in other states as
- 1:09:21well. So you know, basically we're
- 1:09:24teaming up, you know, basically with the people who of like mind
- 1:09:27that are that the same exact goals to get the same exact
- 1:09:30thing done. And Citizens for Sound Money is
- 1:09:33doing this fantastic job doing this as well.
- 1:09:36So please do. And by the way, we'll give you a
- 1:09:39heads up when we do this, but should be a lot of fun.
- 1:09:41We should have a lot of really, really cool guests coming on.
- 1:09:45But the main message is, and always has been, literally sound
- 1:09:50money legislation in all 50 states.
- 1:09:54Get it done, turn it into laws so we can start using gold and
- 1:09:57silver again and protect ourselves.
- 1:09:59No matter how much inflation Uncle Sam throws at you, you'll
- 1:10:02be protected because the business down the street deals
- 1:10:05in gold and silver. You deal in gold and silver.
- 1:10:08Your local bank is actually dealing in in in gold and silver
- 1:10:12as well. This is how we survive as as a
- 1:10:15country. Yeah, just like the the
- 1:10:17legislation in Louisiana points out, right, that businesses can
- 1:10:20deal with each other and so that's correct.
- 1:10:23So thank you. Pat, given the choice, that's
- 1:10:25it. That's all we're asking for is
- 1:10:27that people get a choice. We are not trying to get rid of
- 1:10:30the dollar. You know, the dollar will still
- 1:10:33be there, gang, and it will still be the, the, the, the
- 1:10:36currency that they measure everything else against.
- 1:10:39It'll be there. But if you have the option, you
- 1:10:41can save your wealth and save your savings.
- 1:10:43Save your retirement, save your family.
- 1:10:46And and silver and gold, Pat, on behalf of myself, on behalf of
- 1:10:51our viewer who's been with us today, you've been very generous
- 1:10:54with your time. As always.
- 1:10:56It's always fascinating to hear from you and get your
- 1:10:58perspective on things. Thank you and we'll look forward
- 1:11:01to seeing you next time in the basement.
- 1:11:03Thank you very much, Ron. God bless all of you guys.
- 1:11:06Keep up the good work, gang.
