- 0:44Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, you're listening to the Sports Shock Show. I'm
- 0:50the Sports Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you. Glad to be here.
- 0:55It's a beautiful Monday morning here in Atlanta, Georgia. The sun is
- 1:00creeping out highs expect it to be around eighty four. We had a great
- 1:06weekend of sports. I mean, at some point I will let one of
- 1:12my comedic hosts, since we've found out in the last couple of months that
- 1:19both of them moonlight as comedians. Well you know what I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 1:26give both of them time so that you know I'm an equal opportunist. I
- 1:32don't want to be sitting here and have one feel one way and try to
- 1:37say, oh, the sports jock is not a fair guy. So at
- 1:40some point, guys doing the show, you're not gonna know when I'll be
- 1:48looking for your favorite or your most original or most spontaneity spontaneous excuse me,
- 2:09joke on Diddy, I'll be looking for that COMANCHI. I know you,
- 2:20you know you try to be sensitive, care bear kind of guy. But
- 2:23I'm a knee diddy. Okay that Kenny seems like he's already wrote a couple
- 2:31of thousands, so well, get napkins. I've been soft pitching some premises
- 2:42I've gotten. I ain't got none solid. I've been soft pitching premises actually,
- 2:46uh, just just so you know, even though we do keep our
- 2:51eye on everything, and we've we've been down unfortunately unfortunately, and in Syria
- 2:58unfortunately, we've traveled down this road too many times, and a lot of
- 3:04times in huge, famous ways, all the way back to the days of
- 3:09Ray Rice and you just go on the d n Greg Hardy remember him out
- 3:17of Carolina, the young man just what two years ago? Year ago,
- 3:23Miles Bridges. So we've traveled this road, unfortunately, many times. This
- 3:30time it ends up where once again allegations of cases been made, and then
- 3:38the visual comes to actually throw the dirt on top of the casket. In
- 3:46this case, casket was already sealed, it was already being dropped. Nobody
- 3:51had really come to cover it up. We had flowers all but somebody came
- 3:55and covered up this with the visual to all this. So but make sure
- 4:02commands because see I can already look over it. He looks uncomfortable with this
- 4:06kind of joke. And then and this is not your comedic wheelhouse, No,
- 4:14uh, concurrent events? Really is it my thing? Really? Can
- 4:19I give you a tip if you find an opportunity host some comedy night irregular,
- 4:29it'll force you to have to have new material. Watch the news,
- 4:32and even if you don't have a hosting like a resident hosting job, watch
- 4:40the news and each day come up with a joke for something on the news,
- 4:46just anything one subject on the news, write a joke about it,
- 4:49insert it into your set next time you do it. And today is your
- 4:53first opportunity, So yes, it'll it'll force you to be more current because
- 4:59you can't hold on the news stories too long because they didn't they won't be
- 5:02relevant, So you got to get it to the stage you gotta and then
- 5:04it forces you to stay current. Well, the current situation of the n
- 5:09b A is that the conference finals are set. Uh. The Boston Celtics
- 5:15will be hosting the Indiana Pacers. Who and the Indiana Pacers. It's supposed
- 5:21to It's supposed to be the the other dudes, the Knicks. It was
- 5:29supposed to win. I believe they the Knicks lost. They were supposed to
- 5:34win. Who was who said they were supposed to by the game play?
- 5:39Well, the big market media people. This is gonna be because the Knicks
- 5:44winnings for business. Yeah, the East Coast Rumble or something, you know,
- 5:48it was supposed to be that the what is it called the the Subway
- 5:56Series. It's supposed to be all of the harken back to the times of
- 6:01the Guard. It was supposed to be that. Where is Indiana? Indiana,
- 6:10It's kind of in the middle of the country. They were considered a
- 6:14mid Western state, right wow, wow, somebody from New York or Boston
- 6:18would consider it a mid Western and that's what we're going. But the Boston
- 6:28Celtics tomorrow night will host Indiana Boston has been done with their series here for
- 6:35like a week. You know, they've had a solid week of rest.
- 6:39They'd beat the Miami Heat Heat. It's been so long, That's what I'm
- 6:46saying. It seemed like they were playing a whole different season. Yeah,
- 6:49in the first round, Calves in the second round, both the five games.
- 6:53So yeah, the Caves is what they won. Uh So the Calves
- 6:58is the last series they and in that series five games, and they've been
- 7:02resting. So Indiana comes to town and on the other side, they say,
- 7:08to beat the champ, you gotta beat the champ. And that's what
- 7:12Minnesota did, knocking out Denver last night in a game that I missed the
- 7:17third quarter. Just like the rest of you, Denver was up big at
- 7:23halftime, you felt big and at home, you felt comfortable, as you
- 7:30would have rightfully thought, you know, at home, big game to keep,
- 7:34you know, pivotal Game seven. I watched the Liam Neeson I had
- 7:42clipped over and started watching The Hateful Eight. I didn't even know he had
- 7:46made. It's a movie called black Light. Black Light. Yeah, I
- 7:50had never seen it. I thought it could have been calling one of the
- 7:55takings. But space second premise, it's just a different name. But I
- 8:01watched that movie and then it was like, no, they lost. Then
- 8:09I just happened to hit my phone check the score and it was sixty six
- 8:13sixty seven. I said, wow, they've let Minnesota come back in this
- 8:16game. And then it turned into, you know, one of those last
- 8:22two three minute games where Minnesota was able to put enough shots together against a
- 8:26team Denver looking very tired last night, where it just seemed like they've worn
- 8:33down. I think they counted that the Joker played everything except maybe two minutes
- 8:41of the game or something like that one minute minute, and it was in
- 8:43the first half. So he played the whole second half, which is a
- 8:46lot of work for a man his size. And then the big bodies that
- 8:50Minnesota had. That's the thing about which Gay to me gave Minnesota a chance.
- 8:56It's not just you know, because Groody Grobe and Karl Anthony Towns,
- 9:03the Red Kid comes off three nos read and everybody was given because Joker was
- 9:07having some big games. But it became one of those get him in the
- 9:11late rounds right mentality, let him swing, let him tielf out. All
- 9:16right, your legs are a lot fresher. Your lungs are a lot got
- 9:20a lot more air in them. And it looks like we've been rotating three
- 9:24guys on you and you're starting to get tired, getting a little cheap files
- 9:28can't get to the ball. A little small things like that that they seem
- 9:33to be winning on and a great win for Minnesota. So basically, Joker
- 9:37got jumped. He got jumped. You you have seen with some nice hands
- 9:41one on one. You don't want none of this. But then your brother
- 9:45and your cousin get into it, and I can hold my own for a
- 9:48little while, but eventually y'all gonna get me. Now, Dallas will hold
- 9:52will, Dallas holds the Minnesotaho was ranked higher. Uh, Minnesota's ranked higher.
- 9:58Okay, so Dallas will be on the road probably Wednesday, Yeah,
- 10:03yeah, I would say Wednesday to Minnesota, which puts Anthony Edward's young twenty
- 10:09two to twenty three year old superstar against another superstar and Luca Duncans. We
- 10:16sometimes forget Lucas still only like twenty five. Just that's that European look.
- 10:22I said, you know what I'm saying, when you come from Europe,
- 10:24Europe, I'm saying like when you're from not to Canada. Yeah, you're
- 10:26not Canada, I'm talking about from Europe. Europe. You like ten years
- 10:31ahead of your actual birth year. So if you're twenty two, you look
- 10:37at least thirty two if you're from Europe Europe, and we're playing about as
- 10:41long too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They started pro like fourteen.
- 10:45Yeah, I think you're joining the pro leagues over there, so he would
- 10:48be on. They gave you ten years pro. You can't even go to
- 10:50school by yourself here at fourteen and here over there you should be a whole
- 10:56pro athlete pro Yeah, traveling the world different on the bus over here.
- 11:01Well, yeah, you're got to need permission to do anything at fourteen in
- 11:05our country. You can't even get a job still here, can you?
- 11:09What's the age minimum? Age? Eighteen? Fifteen eighteen? Oh? I
- 11:13thought it was fifteen fifteen three fifteen fifteen, Yes, to get a job,
- 11:18but I believe the parents have to have some sort of Yeah it's okay,
- 11:22maybe child labor laws maybe only exist in there, but you do have
- 11:28if you want to go on the field trip, you gotta get permission from
- 11:31your parents. So Dallas, Minnesota and Boston Indiana will be the NBA Conference
- 11:39Championships and remember the final, so this will be a quick week. The
- 11:43finals for the NBAA starts for June six. If I read the sign right
- 11:50last night watching the game, June six will be the first game schedule for
- 11:56the finals. I trust you reading, so if it was me, we
- 11:58could stud but transition, we'll be back. Talk about golfers getting arrested before
- 12:05the match. We got some askcar guys throwing punches and fam you they all

- 15:26The Sleep you deserve at a price you can afford. No no, no,
- 15:30no, no no. It's time to present the Jock of the Day
- 15:33on the Sports Jocture. It's taking it to a completely different level this year
- 15:37where we highlight an atholete that has taken their game to the next level.
- 15:43You ready made us to Yes, what you know about going out west lextdd
- 16:00Okay what Jake with a couch ship cutch fit it out Rod? Get you
- 16:03up? So I can't get it up? I'm a big man. Get
- 16:06this man room Ida hit everything from can't man? What about this by shock
- 16:11shu u? This what shock Wayne again? Deie? We got a big
- 16:15fight. I guess as far as name recognition, when you talk about Mike
- 16:19Tyson July twentieth, Arlington, Texas. At that time, Mike Tyson will
- 16:26be fifty eight years old, Jake Paul will be twenty seven. I bring
- 16:33this up because I interesting fact I found since the last time we was on
- 16:37air, I didn't know I knew that sanctioned the fight. We talked about
- 16:42that and what that meant. Really sanctioning means like the fight really counts.
- 16:48Okay, it's not supposed to be seen as a exhibition exhibition fight. But
- 16:53the one thing I found, and you guys might have already known it,
- 16:59the rhyme are only two minutes? Did you gut know that? I didn't
- 17:03read that. I did not know that, And that's the part I did
- 17:07not know. Now, they are traditionally three minutes, So most fights are
- 17:14ten three minute rounds or twelve three minute rounds. In the seventies, eighties,
- 17:21it's a little bit. In the nineties they went fifteen, but they
- 17:22kind of tailored that back. So typically a championship fight is twelve three minute
- 17:29rounds and then but I've never I don't know that I've seen a two minute
- 17:34round fight. I think one time someone, but it was done in exhibition.
- 17:40And that's a significant amount of time to be shaving off anything when you're
- 17:48talking about competition. A whole minute, correct a whole minute. To whom
- 17:56do you think that gives the advantage? Well, I'm not really invested in
- 18:03who would even win this fight When you tell me opponent is fifty eight and
- 18:11not just fifty eight fifty eight and consistently inactive. It's one thing if he
- 18:18would have just he'd been fighting here and just happened to be an old fighter.
- 18:25But these have been three year breaks, five year breaks for everything before.
- 18:33This has been some kind of exhibition. We would have to google the
- 18:36last time Mike Tyson had an actual, real fight, like at least his
- 18:41actual last real fight was at least twenty years ago. I pulled a muscle,
- 18:47swatting a a beat, you know what I'm saying, and my shoulders
- 18:52where he came to the ring as Ironed Tyson with expectations of winning the match.
- 18:57So, so do you think that what we're seeing You don't do a
- 19:00lot of social media, but what I've been seeing on social media are the
- 19:04video montages of the old literally old fifty eight year old Iron Mike looking like
- 19:14he did maybe a fraction of a hair slower, But I can't tell you
- 19:21see what I'm saying. Maybe a trained eye would go, oh, look
- 19:25he's lost a second there, But it all looks explosive, It all looks
- 19:29very painful. So are we being duped? Are we being sold something that
- 19:34now it's sanctioned and it's all of this, But at the end of the
- 19:37day, it's just let's get this money, Jake, and we gonna you
- 19:41know, well, the last highlight I've seen and anytime when Tyson does it
- 19:45is they give you that twenty thirty second clip where he's doing some combo nation.
- 19:52Oh it's shadow boxing with a man with some paths a lot, and
- 19:59I'm saying, you hit him past and you go ooh, right, so
- 20:07is it marketing? Have I fallen for the banana, the tail pipe,
- 20:11the wizards behind the court and then you go look and think he's going to
- 20:15do that in the ring and it's nothing like that. It's like taking someone
- 20:21like Reggie Miller. If you took Reggie Miller, rolled the ball back out
- 20:26on the court and filmed him, he probably knocked nine out of ten threes
- 20:30down and you Reggie still got it right. Okay, But that's what I
- 20:41no defense dumb he does in this nice air conditioned gym with nobody guarding him,
- 20:48sweating on him. His heart rate is calm. Yes, the jumper
- 20:52never goes away, the motion never goes away. And that's what I'm saying,
- 20:56And that's what I mean. The one three five combination in Mike's mind
- 21:02is just a sequence tat tat tat tat tat tat tat right, and then
- 21:10they sell it to you, and you they very a little missed on him.
- 21:14Now they got you geek for the eighty nine ninety nine because I listen,
- 21:19I'm not one hundred percent committed. I got eighty seven dollars on it.
- 21:22I say another to ninety nine. I was holding out, And now
- 21:26that you tell me this, I'm a little more reluctant. But I was
- 21:30thinking to myself, Man, Mike is looking for him to have been inactive.
- 21:37Mike is looking a lot like Mike. And I'm realizing now that maybe
- 21:42I just got too much into it. Maybe I want to see the old
- 21:48Mike. And those are the people they're tapping into. It's like the Rolling
- 21:53Stones people like that when they go back on tour. They're not coming out
- 21:59for the new Right. They're not trying to tap into some new artists's crime
- 22:04right. They're not trying to get any ability eilishes crack. They're trying to
- 22:07bring in through Stone Stone grandparents and parents who are Stones fans, correct,
- 22:17That's who they're trying to hope they can get out and wants to And that's
- 22:21the nostalgia of Mike Tyson. Okay, the imprint of the dogmatic approach to
- 22:27his fight game is so electrifying that people hope that they could just get a
- 22:36glimpse. We're hoping for that classic Mike sound by and then I'm just gonna
- 22:41eat his kids. Yes, So the intrigue is really the thinking Mike.
- 22:45Mike in like two rounds is it's gonna come in do what you saw tat
- 22:53Jack, Paul gonna go down, and then he's gonna go Everybody plans for
- 22:57stuff until the smat since brought forth on the diagrams exactly and then Michael,
- 23:04what did he mean by that? What is Mike saying? And then he'll
- 23:07just walk off in everybody. Oh, Mike, I told y'all Mike still
- 23:11had it? Told you because talking trance, talking tran boy. I told
- 23:17you, Mike, who is Jake Paul? Who is college Mama? Coll
- 23:22Is Mama. We'll be back more to Sports Show right after this newcast the
- 23:33Buch of this spot of Me. No, they don't go awayne Board of

- 27:11ranked golfer Scottie Sheffer. Uh. This all is stemming from a Friday morning
- 27:18arrest while trying to get into the Valhalla because you know, everybody's fighting to
- 27:22get into valhalla door and with all the people from the Viking Oden Olden and
- 27:32everybody trying to get int the ball, and there's a sure way to get
- 27:37you know, the dudes from Mad Max we're all trying to go to val
- 27:42Holla too. Yes, yes, they were trying to get into ball Hollow,
- 27:45the guys with the silver paint that they were sniffing, And we've all
- 27:49done that, right, We've all slipped a little bit of paint. I
- 27:53ain't judging. I'm saying, but I always thought that the way that I
- 27:57think you could play your way into Valhalla, I didn't think you could play
- 28:02your way. I thought you had to die your way in. You had
- 28:06to have a glorious death. I thought to get in there, Yeah,
- 28:10that's what I'm saying, to go out in a great blaze of glory,
- 28:15that's what I thought. They just die, That's what I thought. You
- 28:17got to go out with a glorious blaze of glory type death. But these
- 28:21dudes just enjoy it. These dudes qualify. These do qualified to get into
- 28:27trying to get into the Valhalla Golf Club On Friday morning, Scottie Sheffer was
- 28:34detained and then taken down to the precinct. Got a slow start to his
- 28:41second day on the course. And my angle of talking about this is stems
- 28:47just from the sentiment of patience. What happens to patients when you find yourself
- 29:00like a Scottie Scheffer who probably was in the right place where he was supposed
- 29:07to be. Why can't you tone down the patients to deal with the security
- 29:14or the officer or whomever to keep this from happening. What happens that incites
- 29:22you to need to talk louder or resist, because I think that's what most
- 29:30of this was about. When the cop did come to ask him to move
- 29:33the car or something he kind of pulled away, or what happens in those
- 29:38moments of law enforcement that people seem to, even if they're right, kind
- 29:48of zone out for a second. What is that from firsthand POV? For
- 29:57me I've gotten in situation is like that in retrospect. My first challenge was
- 30:08that I fostered a resentment for authority not to bosso me. I feel like,
- 30:18first of all, I'm in the right place where I'm supposed to be.
- 30:22They told me to be here. This the Big Kenny the car show,
- 30:25just a Big Kenny cost show. I'm the Big Kenny. You're telling
- 30:30me I can't go on my car show, which well, I'm telling you,
- 30:34sir that you're bad. Wait wait wait you're bad, sir. No,
- 30:41no, no, see, and now you over talking me. I'm
- 30:45trying to tell you because you don't know, sir, you don't have to
- 30:48raise your voice. I'm just saying you're bad. Does not say all accents,
- 30:51no, but it's it's say the Big Kenny cost show, and I'm
- 30:55saying I'm the Big Kenny and you you you trying to tell me that I
- 30:59can't come in my car show. No, I'm not saying, sir,
- 31:00that you're not. I'm telling you that they said from this location you have
- 31:06to have an all access card, so you're gonna keep me out of my
- 31:10car show. Well, what I'll do is if you just hold here tight
- 31:14for a moment, I'll go get my manager, Greg. He just went
- 31:18to drop off Eddie Murphy. He'd be right back. Oh no, see,
- 31:25no, there we go. Now what you say it is, if
- 31:27you hold on just a minute, I'll go get my manager, Greg.
- 31:30He's about to drop off Eddie Murphy. I'll be back in a minute.
- 31:33What I heard was I might not be able to keep you out, but
- 31:40I know somebody who can. But he dealing with somebody more important than you
- 31:44right now. He dealing with somebody more important than you. But when he
- 31:48done with the important people, we gonna handle yo lave issue. And that's
- 31:52where a lot of that's what you heard. A lot of that comes from.
- 31:56There's what a person says, there's what the other person he and a
- 32:00lot of that is What about the part where I said, your badge does
- 32:02not say all access You trying to tell me I ain't I ain't face card,
- 32:10I don't need no badge. And now there are times when you put
- 32:15their time, when you put us inside the help, I'm inside the mind
- 32:21of the personality, the attraction, the person who feels like this number one
- 32:27golf in the world. You see what I'm saying, I don't need no
- 32:30badge. I got face card boo boom. You see what I'm saying.
- 32:37It's the Big Kenny Car Show. They got thirty banners with my face on
- 32:40it. You telling me I'm the number one golfer in the world. You
- 32:46know me. See that's what I'm saying. I'm about to get invou house.
- 32:50I got silver pain in my mouth everything, and you're telling me about
- 32:52a badge. Yeah, your access card says limited. It doesn't say all.
- 32:58Tell me what my bumper says, because that's what you're gonna say.
- 33:02I read it. It sounded like that's what happened, some kind of version
- 33:07version of Scotty's in the right place. It's early morning. I really didn't
- 33:14come here at six forty am for this, for this at all. No,
- 33:20And and then you told me you know who I am, and you
- 33:23keep me out one playing the world? Oh and you still playing? No,
- 33:28I just said, my boss told me the date that nobody unless they
- 33:31have all access can get in something. So what you're saying, so you
- 33:36say, that's what they mandated today, just today. So the number one
- 33:38golfer that ain't all access to a golf course, number one golfer in the
- 33:43world. You think, I'm just out here to watch? But sir,
- 33:45why don't you take that up with your manager? Sir, y'all hold my
- 33:47clubs, Oh my club This dude think I'm playing And it's something like that.
- 33:52But Scottie Scheffler was able to Now, how did he play over the
- 33:55next couple of days? Did he the uh? That happened Friday? It
- 34:00happened Friday morning. He had a good round Friday, but it was Saturday
- 34:05where it didn't go well. And then he had a good round Sunday,
- 34:08so it's really Saturday is when it kind of fell apart from him, Well,
- 34:12he joins the bad boy club of golf. You got infamous people like
- 34:16Tiger Woods, John Daily that have been out there. Angel Corbero, then
- 34:24he kidnapped somebody. What was his infractions? And we all done nothing.
- 34:29No, no kidnaped. We didn't know we would get napped. We just
- 34:32thought we was moving him from one place to another. Did the Angel do
- 34:37a car wreck or something? It was something he did. I think it
- 34:39was kidnapping. No, we're just making that as a joke. That's just
- 34:44a joke, ladies and gentlemen. We don't have because we ain't never kidnapped
- 34:47nobody. H He he left, well he's from Argentina, but he and
- 34:55he left the country without permission. Assault, theft, illegal intimidation. Oh
- 35:04yeah, it was like some kind of like it wasn't just running your car
- 35:08into a tree right right solid and criminal intimidations. But we've all that's all
- 35:15right, And now he's back on tour. So and then we're going right
- 35:21back out on the road. This America stand up in the middle of a
- 35:27tour and I got eight felony charges. I got to go to try but
- 35:30you can still get into Valhalla, still get into val So Scotty did not,
- 35:35and I'm and I kept fueling, like, Okay, this will make
- 35:38you a superhero if you can go to jail in the morning, come back
- 35:43and win the tournament. You go up there with the legend. What have
- 35:45you seen? How now that they're this morning, the most recent accounts are
- 35:51that the officer involved didn't have the body camera on and then buy law there
- 36:00rules and regulations state that you have to have a body camera on and if
- 36:02you don't, you got only about so many hours to file or did not
- 36:07have my body camera on report? And so it's looking like Scottie is going
- 36:13to be the quote unquote victim in all of this only because the guy didn't
- 36:17have on his bike. Yeah, they're saying that they're questioning the officer's account
- 36:24of events and they don't have anything to matter. Do you think he did
- 36:29you? Do you think he did that as a courtesy to Scotty though,
- 36:36Like whatever is about the transfer a transpire? I don't want on record for
- 36:40you. Maybe maybe maybe, And that's what I'm saying, that's what does
- 36:49the most damage what people seeing people explain and because there's what you say in
- 36:54what we hear, why don't you move out the way? Don't you have
- 36:58something more important to do besides my job? You know what I'm saying now,
- 37:01Scotty sounds so elitist and so dismissive. And I didn't know that Scotty
- 37:07was that rude, and so maybe he was trying to help. But because
- 37:10of the projection onto the act of cutting off a body camp, they think
- 37:15it's something nefarious. I'm trying to cover something up. You would automatically assume
- 37:21that the cop was in the wrong. And if the golf course wanted to,
- 37:23and they may have it set up anyway, a lot of times it's
- 37:28just best to set up your their official car service, yes, or bus
- 37:34that takes anyone at any time to the course. So and that bus already
- 37:39knows where to go, and the people let it in the gate and put
- 37:43all the responsibility on instead of you and your individual car pulling up at different
- 37:47times. Maybe it just be easier to do it that way. We'll be
- 37:51back with more to Sports Jock Show. Right after this fact, when the
- 37:58word of welcome back, saying you know like Backson, Don't Go Away,
- 38:05or of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dan. Videos coming up next.

- 41:06on, say you can see a sports chaint, I'll sing even welcome back
- 41:14to this horse shock show. I'm this horse shock wing, can't it good
- 41:16morning? We were just talking a little golf number one in the world,
- 41:19Scottie Scheffer uh and his arrest and it looks like it's going to be dropped,
- 41:24and hopefully so. It just sounds like a big misunderstanding. And Scottie
- 41:30or you know, in the law enforcement, you can't put your hand.
- 41:34The times are just dangerous hands. Everybody got to keep their hands to theyself.
- 41:38People they're gonna rest you you make a move at them. That's just
- 41:43that's how it's gonna be. So hopefully it's just something they learned from on
- 41:49both sides. And as I said, a lot of times, easy fix
- 41:53is that it's just a shuttle that comes that takes you, but you don't
- 42:00have to worry about your individual car and parking and those kind of things,
- 42:04and that'll just gets you in and you don't have to worry about those things.
- 42:08So, uh, one thing I was going to ask you, gentlemen,
- 42:12speaking sticking with golf real quick, because I always see the name and
- 42:15I'm like, should I know the person for what they have done or they're
- 42:20just known kind of almost like a Kardashian thing, And this is the young
- 42:24lady page uh sp Sparanak? Is how you say her name? S p
- 42:32I r A n A C spor Spiranak. Maybe it's how you say her
- 42:40last name. I haven't heard. I know that she was she's like a
- 42:46golfer, But is she like the Anna kona Kova? Remember Anna was?
- 42:53She started off golf turned more modely instantly before she even really established herself as
- 43:00one of the great tennis players, she was modeling. And I always see
- 43:07this young lady here with some kind of comment. Typically she's dressed in some
- 43:13kind of very seductive runway model bikini outfit. But I didn't know if I
- 43:21should know her for her golf game or she's just working the business of golf.
- 43:27Like I said, like an a corner Cova. Yeah, I'm looking
- 43:30at some images of her and I don't see a nine iron, you know
- 43:34what I'm saying. So I don't think the golf game is what she She
- 43:37may actually play the game of golf, she may be associated, but she
- 43:45is a they call it a golf influencer, so she never was. She's
- 43:52so she's not a golfer, not not former professional. So former professional golfer,
- 43:58yes, and now she's a golf influencer. Yes, and stand for
- 44:04that flag boy. Yeah you see, I'm over here. I don't understand
- 44:07because she doesn't look like maybe maybe thirty at best, yeah, thirty one.
- 44:14Yeah, And I'm not even looking at her for she So she's already
- 44:17stopped golfing and now she's a golf influencer. She she is an instructor,
- 44:25okay, but for it says former professional, but that she's a golf influence.
- 44:32Take that hat off your head, put your hand on your heart.
- 44:38I just know, Like over Elis, it's a good solid year and a
- 44:43half. She weighs in on different subjects most of the time. Like you're
- 44:47saying, it looks like she even if she's at the golf course a little
- 44:52like she's shooting a commercial right more than she's out there golfing. So I
- 44:57didn't know whether she's just a And the closest thing I could come to was
- 45:01Anakonikova, the young star who started with Serena and Venus in that little they
- 45:08were all fifteen sixteen, but by the time she was like twenty, she
- 45:15had just gone into her marketing dollars and you rarely even see her play tennis
- 45:23or she was playing just enough matches to be considered on tour right on tour,
- 45:29but the rest of most of them she never won anything. I don't
- 45:32know that she ever went to a finals of anything. And the thing about
- 45:37it was when she came in with that group of that age group, and
- 45:42it was like six or seven young ladies. I can't remember all their names,
- 45:45but they were all in that Serena age Venus, so they were fourteen
- 45:49to sixteen seventeen. She was one of the top players. Yeah, I
- 45:53think even maybe ranked tired in Serena, but then the advertise in market took
- 46:00her over and she just kind of and that was some of the controversy at
- 46:06that time where she was making like four or five times much more money than
- 46:10they were, and she didn't she wasn't winning anything. Is it's not really
- 46:16her fault though, is it that? No? No, no, no,
- 46:19no no. And That's what I'm saying with this young I'm not blaming
- 46:21fault. I'm like, should I have known her for her golf? For
- 46:23her golf and she just has parlayed that into marketing kind of how we spoke
- 46:30about the tennis player last show that was running from Italy. The first story
- 46:35was that she was just it seemed like she was about to make more money
- 46:38being a ad model, that she had been on tour all this time,
- 46:43but only really got up to the top well I think, I said twenty
- 46:45six or twenty seven, and the money she could make ad modeling had pulled
- 46:52her away. Now, we did also find out she hadn't been paying her
- 46:53taxes, which is a whole nother thing. But you can find different ways
- 47:00too. If I can be ranked number ten but advertise myself to make money
- 47:05as though I'm number one, right, don't blame me. And That's what
- 47:10I'm saying. I think a lot of people get offended because it just seems
- 47:14so, what's the purpose of all the hard work and dedication if all you
- 47:19got to do is wear something sheer and accentuate your positive assets. And now
- 47:30you're standing next to me on the podium. I mean, I got up
- 47:35at three am every day and ate a half of a grape and you know,
- 47:38for the first twelve hours, and then ate another half a grape the
- 47:43other twelve hours of my day to be a Hall of Famer, and you
- 47:47got a pixie cut. You're right next to me. Cause, like I
- 47:52said a couple of shows ago, and I talked about the quarterback, you
- 47:57could be the Hall of Famer to be on your but you still will not
- 48:01be more recognized than the quarterback of your team. Yes, everybody wants to
- 48:08talk now he's That's just how it goes. A lot of guys we've seen
- 48:15have that issue with their quarterback that everything they do they got the seventy touchdown,
- 48:22but the quarterback gets all the and that's all. That's the nature of
- 48:27the business. So we'll be back with more of the Sports Job Show right
- 48:30after this loaning loon of a gossip loaning and games room by some high You
- 48:36can't scream in that block. I just sold of this drugs and don't go

- 49:38Well, it's beautiful out there, Sonny and seventy five almost a little chilly
- 49:43in the shade. Now, let's get a read on the inside of your
- 49:46car. It is hot. You've only been parked a short time and it's
- 49:51already ninety nine degrees in there. Let's not leave children in the backseat while
- 49:54running errands. It only takes a few minutes for their body temperatures to rise,
- 50:00and that could be fatal. Cars get hot fast and can be deadly.
- 50:04Never leave a chaln in a car. A message from Nitsy and the
- 50:06AD Council. Hurting a game, we tough it out, feel exhausted,
- 50:10we push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But
- 50:16there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us and we
- 50:21need to talk to someone about what we're really going through. So we're going

- 50:37Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs, but it's time
- 50:39we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people. It's a powerful opioid often
- 50:45made illegally and commonly mixed with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into
- 50:49counterfeit pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the size of
- 50:53a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal. This isn't an ad
- 50:58to scare you, but it isn't ad to you. Think twice, get
- 51:00the facts. Go to real deal on fentanyl dot com. This message is
- 51:05brought to you by the ad Council. And now back to the sports gibt
- 51:10Wayne Gandy center court on sports news gossip. Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 51:32Not tell me who won the arm with us, that's just something. And
- 51:37let your frint son snitches all people versus up in the host of reef a
- 51:44black tell of them my father, Boston and Lord, welcome back to this
- 51:46boy, Shock Shot. I'm this boy, shock Wayne Candy. Good morning
- 51:50to you, commands, your Greg Big Kenny in the building this morning.
- 51:55Sports Bra, the sports Bra, the sports Bra. I know you guys
- 52:06may not know a lot about the sports Bra, but it's a ingenious thing.
- 52:14It is serving food and everything else. Now it's the sports Bra.
- 52:22It's a sports bar. It is sports Bra, sports bar, yes,
- 52:31that is opening up Portland, Oregon. The sports Bra given four and a
- 52:37half stars. They only show women's sports. Ah, I see, look
- 52:46at Greg's face, Look at him, look over he was looking for some
- 52:50scanter on steroids. Is what we were home? Brah. They only show
- 53:01women's sports. Now, how is that right? Comanche? I know you're
- 53:06an activist, and how do you get to open up If I go up
- 53:12here to a local sports bar called the Jockstrap and say we're only showing men's
- 53:19sports, how long before you and your people come and tell me, Okay,
- 53:30yes they are, but you would never be able to do that.
- 53:31You'd never be able to go to the Jockstrap. No, because that is
- 53:36misogynistic and that is belittling and demeaning, and and we would not give you
- 53:42a license to open the eyesore like that in our community mission only. We
- 53:46only want to watch men's sports in here though discrimination. No women can come
- 53:53in. We only show men's sports. We didn't say the other side can't
- 53:59come in. We're just telling you what's on TV. All rise case of
- 54:04the State of Georgia versus the Jockstrap. So you're saying that won't be a
- 54:10you can't do just men's sports. If you want to anyone's we we we
- 54:17allow you to be among us, little lady. But you sit and be
- 54:22quiet and watch these men's sports, why don't we will not be turning to
- 54:25the Indiana Fever versus the New York Liberty No, or as we call it,
- 54:31girls messing around, We won't. So how is the sports Bra getting
- 54:38away? Dare you question us? You are so misogynistic and discriminatory and sexist
- 54:45to me. As like, I feel like there's a there's a sports bar
- 54:50somewhere in Atlanta that sports Bra. Well as far as like another a different
- 54:57okay bar that uh is catered to Chicago sports fans. I feel like there's
- 55:05one in it now. You know, you have a lot of bars.
- 55:07The show with baseball season, they're only showing the Cubs and the White Sox
- 55:13are not showing the Braves. No, they have to show if you come
- 55:15in and ask, they have to turn the television. It means that if
- 55:22you go up here and it's an Ohio State bar, if you leave it
- 55:25up to them, all the games are going to be on Ohio State.
- 55:30Okay. So if you go to the sports Bra, they're saying they don't
- 55:34turn to they say. If they say they don't turn to it, then
- 55:37you know that's the problem. They got to beat salad, sports Bra,
- 55:43pub Burger. Uh. They see what else on the menu up there?
- 55:46Big Kenny, the Turkey Club, the Taipei Ruben ant, Tina's Hot Wings?
- 55:59What what? What's what's on? What's on the what's on the the
- 56:04music selection? A lot of Dixie chicks. We got four non blondes.
- 56:09What what? What are we playing in the sports Bra? What do we

- 58:40Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security,
- 58:45yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five,
- 58:50me and my wife were just getting started with our family and thought we
- 58:52lived forever. Life insurance was the last thing on my mind. What about
- 58:55you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty,
- 59:00kid in college and bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 59:01survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the insurance informant.
- 59:05Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family security no matter what
- 59:09stage of life you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about
- 59:13whether I leave my family that bills their benefits. The answer is easy,
- 59:15whether you're twenty five or fifty whether you earn a little or a lot,
- 59:20all you need is the insurance informant to help you build a foundation of security,
- 59:23because without you, your family will have two options, benefits or bills.
- 59:29Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today benefits or bills dot
- 59:34com. That's benefits or bills dot com. My simple solution to their problem
- 59:39was remove people from the scene and help them feel safer. In response to

- 1:01:32Apple podcast, dez Are, Spotify, Audible, or iHeartRadio and catch the
- 1:01:39replay of the show. Comeman you Greg in the building, Big Kenny the
- 1:01:44funny man himself in the building. Last week we let you. We talked
- 1:01:46about Red Lobster having a foul chapter eleven h bankruptcy possibly in most locations because
- 1:01:54of their all you can eat shrimp uh. Now through the summer, Buffalo
- 1:02:01Wild Wings is going out on a limb for all you can eat boneless wings
- 1:02:09and fries on Mondays and Wednesday. This promotion will go to till until July
- 1:02:16the tenth. So command you, Greg and gover and buffalo wild wings nationwide
- 1:02:25Mondays and Wednesdays and get you all you can eat boneless wings and which I
- 1:02:37still don't get what boneless wings are? Jiuggets? Chicken nuggets? Correct?
- 1:02:42So why are they able to be just we called that instead of the nuggets?
- 1:02:45Because America. That's all I got. That's all I got because America,
- 1:02:52because we are creative, and we are ingenious, and we are thinkers
- 1:03:00outside the box. And so a nugget sounds so childish, it sounds so
- 1:03:07something like anybody could have. But a wing that's boneless, now that's exotic.
- 1:03:16If it's if it's bigger than a nugget, then it's in the side
- 1:03:22of it called a normal wing without a bone, right, But the strips
- 1:03:28are for chill trick. This is the in between. This is the in
- 1:03:30between, right. Those those sound like wings, Those sound like microwavable meals.
- 1:03:38But a boneless wing sounds like it's worth eighteen ninety five was nineteen ninety
- 1:03:46nine. See all you can eat wings and boneless wings, And I didn't
- 1:03:52even look at those. That's for the traditional wing. See I didn't even
- 1:03:54look at the price point, but I knew it was worth about twenty dollars.
- 1:03:59We're gonna get rid of all of these nuggets that we ordered too much
- 1:04:01of, all of them, all of them. Well, y'all, let
- 1:04:06me know how to go. I'm not I don't really go to Buffalo wil
- 1:04:09Wings. I've been to it a couple of times, but I've never really
- 1:04:15it didn't there like, it didn't grab me, Like the DC mayor.
- 1:04:21I was reading Washington, d C. Mayor Miriam Bowser. She has been
- 1:04:28getting crucified for private jet down to the golf tournaments out to Vegas. I
- 1:04:35want to say, the golf tournament, let's see where she go, Big
- 1:04:40Kenny. That they're getting on her about happened a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:04:45What's the big was it? The might have been the masters. You flew
- 1:04:49down from d C on the private jet. But when I read these stories,
- 1:04:55isn't that why I became mayor? Is that not why part of the
- 1:05:00job? Two things one one, yes, that's why you become mayor.
- 1:05:04I thought that those things were extended. Two mayors, they're mayor of a
- 1:05:09major city, the mayor of the capital of the United States. Why wouldn't
- 1:05:14I be able to travel places by private jet? And then two that seems
- 1:05:21minor when mayor of Atlanta straight went to prison. You see what I'm saying,
- 1:05:27Our mayor done time. There's a couple of our mayors I think have
- 1:05:30straight done prison times. A little flight we on some y'all bothering us with
- 1:05:33this kind of stuff. It was the master's golf tournament she went to.
- 1:05:38Why not Why should there be limits on perks like that? I mean,
- 1:05:41if she has access to a private jet, why why are there limits?
- 1:05:45Who else needed where? How many hours she could fly? I'm saying,
- 1:05:50who else is needing the private jet? It's me, the mayor, deputy
- 1:05:55mayor or the mayor is the mayor is supposed to sell themselves as just one
- 1:06:02of the people. Is that their whole? I think so that like this
- 1:06:08was like almost like they live a life of poverty. Well see that that's
- 1:06:13and they don't they these are in these extra things or people just out of
- 1:06:16the kind. There not actually no its PhD from IVY League. It depends
- 1:06:24on what city you're from. You want me to pretend that the mayor of
- 1:06:26New York, the mayor of Chicago. They are almost equivalent to governors in
- 1:06:30their prospective cities. Their level of access to their level of power influence is
- 1:06:36unmatched. Be a mayor of a city, mayor of a Birmingham. You
- 1:06:41know what I'm saying. I don't know, it's probably a little bit different.
- 1:06:45But a lot of couple of times, the biggest they have is a
- 1:06:49clean car. I guess, yeah, that's what I'm saying. They get,
- 1:06:53you know, get their car washed for free or something like that.
- 1:06:56But I always thought that, and maybe because I'm from a Chicago where the
- 1:07:00mayor was seen almost as an otherworldly figure, that I didn't think they had
- 1:07:05limitations. You know, the mayors that I saw from Chicago were the kind
- 1:07:12of people that could literally walk up anywhere and go, you know, let's
- 1:07:15stop this, let's do this. It's like the governor wouldn't say anything.
- 1:07:18So I just thought that was the perks. Yeah, whatever your city had
- 1:07:24at its availability, I didn't even know the city. Now, you might
- 1:07:28not be able to take monetary right things where I can just walk in here
- 1:07:34and give you one hundred thousand dollars if I live in your area and I
- 1:07:40had a fleet of cars, and I thought that's what the city needed to
- 1:07:46get back and forth. Here, y'all can use these fleet of cars,
- 1:07:49or you and your council can get this quarter of a chicken and rib tips
- 1:07:57meal for free. I'm saying that. I'm saying, I'm talking about Chicago
- 1:08:01politics, where things like that meals and your haircut, the gigs, all
- 1:08:08of that was free. Your haircut, they will cut your hair, will
- 1:08:12will will be your tailor for free because they just the tailor of Mayor Daily.
- 1:08:20And that's all I need to hear is Mayor Daily's taylor. And everybody
- 1:08:25comes there to get their suits. Now, So I never thought this was
- 1:08:29anything. Yeah, but that's interesting that she's come under scrutiny for her travels.
- 1:08:34Down to the masters two and thirty eight million dollar gift for fam You
- 1:08:41University. Thirty year old Hemp Mogul is the person who gave this gift,
- 1:08:51calling it a gift and but it's seems to be s fifteen out to be
- 1:09:02a worthless gift. It was It was in stocks first of all, so
- 1:09:06it was stock gift it Okay, break it down. It was stocks in
- 1:09:11his Hemp Technologies company. He has a company that specializes in hemp growth and
- 1:09:18hemp product technologies, and he offered this two hundred was thirty seven million dollars
- 1:09:26gift to FAMU and they said that this was a transformative gift, that this
- 1:09:30could be used for their athletic programs and their student body and their university to
- 1:09:34move them forward for generations. No one really vetted this dude or the gift,
- 1:09:41and now it's all starting to unravel. Someone has had too. But
- 1:09:45when you know thirty year old that has the ability to give you two hundred
- 1:09:50and thirty eight million dollars from hemp from him, when you know this person,
- 1:09:56bless that HBCU education, you see what I'm saying. No, it
- 1:10:00never happened at USM. That's a lot of money for a thirty year old
- 1:10:02to a choir. It would have never happened at Southern miss. They'd never
- 1:10:06got us like that. Okay, they never got us. No one that
- 1:10:11Yeah, no one had really heard of him. And then some people thought
- 1:10:15it was because he at the UH the graduation where he presented the check and
- 1:10:21he commitment UH and he had the big check, he gave the commitments,
- 1:10:28He gave this convincement speech that fam you Okay, and then at the commencement
- 1:10:32speeches like you know what, I know some of y'all probably wondered who am
- 1:10:36I and why am I here? But pie four foot check two dollars and
- 1:10:45he said that the money is in the bank. He literally said, the
- 1:10:49money money in the How how did the fam you officials start unraveling this this
- 1:10:57gift? Oh why everybody was cheering? Somebody anybody checked on that, And
- 1:11:02that's kind of how it started. Literally, somebody like, hold on checking
- 1:11:06on this? Is that legitimate? This dude thirty years old? Well,
- 1:11:11he got two hundred thirty seven million dogs from to give away, to give
- 1:11:14away, And then that's the part I'm talking about, to give away,
- 1:11:16not that you can't necessarily have it. I'm saying just to give away.
- 1:11:20I'm straight, straight, I'm straight. Yeah, I'm gonna just go on
- 1:11:27and throw this your way. You know, I got me. And did
- 1:11:30he go to FAM you was my last question. No, they had no
- 1:11:33connection to family. And he had a similar incident with Coastal Carolina where he
- 1:11:39offered them some money that they never actually got. But he spoke, is
- 1:11:43this a crime? It should be. It seems like it is a crime.
- 1:11:51But see there. I didn't take anything from you. There're scams and
- 1:11:57there's fraud. There doesn't seem to be any fraud related, so anything else
- 1:12:03will be a scam, which is sort of on you thing got you.

- 1:16:09Bill should be maybe getting in the Hall of Fame of basketball though from his
- 1:16:15time as a player and a coach. As far as impact he remember WNBA,
- 1:16:19he won a couple of championships. There's a I want to say conspiracy,
- 1:16:28but something like that to where he's he may never be considered just because
- 1:16:32of his time as a player and the reputation he has, because like he's
- 1:16:38won a couple of championships as a WNBA coach and every who has a player
- 1:16:43and never been considered for an NBA coaching job. Never very sixty seven years
- 1:16:49old. Archie Manning, Peyton and Eli's father, seventy five. One of
- 1:16:55the great linebackers London Fletcher forty nine. Mario Chalmers won a couple of championships

- 1:17:23Kevin guard Net, part of the last team that Minnesota sent to the finals
- 1:17:28twenty years ago, is forty eight years old. Is Kevin Gardet twenty years
- 1:17:32ago? The that was the first and only time Chimberwolves I think have been
- 1:17:38to the Western Finals. Yeah, that was the only other year they had
- 1:17:42even won a playoff series. Yeah, So Kevin Garnett was on that team
- 1:17:45twenty years ago. He's forty eight years of age. Big Kenny wants you
- 1:17:49to know that Lauren Hill says her second album Setos Command You Greg I was
- 1:17:59shot. Lauren first album one of the great classics of our time, The
- 1:18:03Miseducation of Lauren Hill. She says that her second album, which now would
- 1:18:09be twenty five twenty six years later, will soon be done. You're you're
- 1:18:15you're anticipating this second album. Well, I'm saying if you know Lauren Math,
- 1:18:23then maybe I'm saying because this is a woman who her shows are from
- 1:18:29seven thirty to ten thirty, and she shows up at eleven fifteen. So
- 1:18:34if you seven right and she shows up at eleven fifty, that means she
- 1:18:40missed the show. Some people are still there. There are still a few
- 1:18:44people still waiting, but the arena's trying to turn over for the basketball game.
- 1:18:51So only the diehards are really still resisting being put out of the arena.
- 1:18:56So for her, And then again, the first one, mis education
- 1:19:00Lauryn Hill came out in two thousand and eight, was it nineteen ninety eight?
- 1:19:03Oh, nineteen ninety eight, So it's been like you said about the
- 1:19:08quarter of century, so released soon would be next nine years, eight years?
- 1:19:15Well, I figure if she's saying soon, twenty twenty eight will make
- 1:19:24it a fit around rounded up thirty years in between the albums. Okay,
- 1:19:28that I could see it. I guess if that's Laurence Math, I could
- 1:19:31see twenty twenty eight, yeah, be four years from now? Yeah soon,
- 1:19:34yeah soon, Lauryn Hill math because because when she said my new album
- 1:19:40will be released soon, all the people that collaborate with her were thinking like
- 1:19:44she working on an album, But I thought she made an album Lauryn Hill
- 1:19:46Unplugged. Those were songs that weren't actually finished, and we never heard those
- 1:19:55songs in any other context. Again, well, Kanye sample one of them,
- 1:19:59but uh, those songs weren't done right. So it's like me having
- 1:20:05a joke. Man, I got a joke about Eddie Murphy, remember that
- 1:20:10time Eddie Murphy. That's all I got Right now, I'm working on.
- 1:20:16Speaking of jokes, comand you Greg, what's your note Diddy joke? The
- 1:20:23main thing that came to mind is that he has been I think did he
- 1:20:29lives in a video game? He has been cosplaying as a my boss all
- 1:20:33this time. He's beating up people, he's stealing money, he's blowing up
- 1:20:41cars. That's all I got for that joke. It's like Lauren Hill's unplugged.
- 1:20:53Did he living in a video game? That's something interesting? Is Diddy
- 1:20:59judging? And Piana? Let me ask you guys, is a taco burrito
- 1:21:02a sandwich? A taco burrito? Is a burrito or a taco? Is
- 1:21:10that considered a sandwich? M M technique? Take a second. Is a
- 1:21:19taco or burrito a sandwich? Which you put that under sandwich? Yes?
- 1:21:28Yes, commands you don't. It's what sandwich I always think of, Like
- 1:21:34they're like bread has to be involved, So there's no bread involved in a
- 1:21:41taco. In a taco or burrito, Yeah, so what's the shell,
- 1:21:45what's the what's the that the bread? Bread made with flour tacos and is
- 1:21:54that considered bread? It's it's the bread of this sandwich. Yes, it's
- 1:22:00the bread. The same way you can get a one of those paleo or
- 1:22:08vegetarian type sandwiches, or people who don't the gluten free they'll give you a
- 1:22:15sandwich wrapped in lettuce and they consider that a sandwich. I think they like
- 1:22:21it's the original theory or form of it. It's not a sandwich. To
- 1:22:29me, it's not And to me it's not a sandwich because to me,
- 1:22:36a sandwich is something between two pieces of anything. KFC they make a sandwich
- 1:22:48with two chicken breasts as the rice. So a taco is all one piece,
- 1:22:58well, but briteouchell is all one piece. But a sandwich from from
- 1:23:02someone who was in restaurant business. Okay, part of the mythology or part
- 1:23:09of the technology behind the sandwich is that you're able to hold it with your
- 1:23:14bare hands, doesn't need utensils. So a sandwich is something that you can

- 1:27:19Wing KND. We talked about the conference finals in the NBA being set uh
- 1:27:26Indiana beating the Knicks and you had to feel your heart went out with the
- 1:27:31Knicks because in one series. They basically went from game one looking and having
- 1:27:40a roster of one team to buy game for a completely different roster. Yes,
- 1:27:45with the injuries, uh, you really feel like any sporting And that's
- 1:27:50the thing that's the key that always seems to get left behind when people talk
- 1:27:56about sports. It is the fivers teams. You can make your list of
- 1:28:01five or six teams who you think can win. Now you gotta see which
- 1:28:08one of those five, six, seven teams will be the healthiest. And
- 1:28:12typically that's what it is, the two healthiest of the best five or six
- 1:28:15teams. Because that's just how the world it works. And sometimes your health
- 1:28:24comes early where you have your issues. Sometimes it comes in the middle.
- 1:28:29You know, here and there you have a surprise player that steps up and
- 1:28:32fills that void that you wasn't expecting all out of the year. The Eagles
- 1:28:38won the Super Bowl. You know, you didn't really see that, and
- 1:28:42it happens. But most of the time it waters down to you can go
- 1:28:46and check off about seven teams, six teams, and one of those teams
- 1:28:53typically will make the championship round if they're still healthy. And that's how it
- 1:28:59has with the Knicks. You saw they already had Julius Randall out. Then
- 1:29:05the big center hurt his foot, Robinson. Robinson that the casual fan might
- 1:29:13not have noticed, but that was their second unit center and who most of
- 1:29:16the year was the starter. And then he hurt his foot. He's out.
- 1:29:19So you got Julius Randall, who arguably is your best player along with
- 1:29:25Bronson, and you got your one of your top seven players with Robinson out.
- 1:29:30Then by the end of the second game, a genobi he sab is
- 1:29:36out. So now I got three of the top say ten players that I
- 1:29:42started the season, they're gone. Then Josh hart Heart grabbing his muscle,
- 1:29:46and then I end up with Jalen Bronson breaking his hand, and everything's going
- 1:29:53Indiana's way at that point. And that's kind of how that series turned out.
- 1:29:58It was more of a war of attrition. Went to Game seven.
- 1:30:01But the Pacers are moving on to take on the Celtics. I think,
- 1:30:05you know, with the health issue of the Knicks, I kind of like
- 1:30:09that the Pacers moved on because I feel like at least physically they can match
- 1:30:14match up against the Celtics. The Knicks would have limped into this and it
- 1:30:18would have been now tried to play and play five minutes. But with what
- 1:30:29we'vesed and we're time out, Game one is tomorrow. It's not like it
- 1:30:32was. And what we've assessed as the Celtics h achilles ill well, actually
- 1:30:41their willingness, their ability, their tendency to play up and down to competition,
- 1:30:45to their competition. Where do you see their game going. Do you
- 1:30:48see them as, oh, we got to get ready for these guys,
- 1:30:53or do you see them as man, these dudes only got here because they
- 1:30:56were hurt. So I think they the individuals Hollan Burton and those guys.
- 1:31:00Siakam will definitely challenge them. They have the personnel that will put Boston in
- 1:31:10the mind that we got to go ball. I think they would have got
- 1:31:13more of that roller coaster with the knicks and the injuries. They looked at
- 1:31:17him like, yeah, we can blow by them. They don't have it.
- 1:31:19We can turn on and off with them because of their injuries. With
- 1:31:24the Pacers, they should be able to get rid of the Pacers in six
- 1:31:28games. And then on the other side, Man and the Minnesota Timberwolves,
- 1:31:38Rudy Gobert, Carl Anthony Towns, who has been doing great here, in
- 1:31:43the playoffs. He missed most of the regular season there with some injuries,
- 1:31:45but he really was the key last night that held them until they got hot
- 1:31:53and Man only had sixteen eighteen points in the game. Rudy Gobert and as
- 1:31:59I said the beginning of the show, you know, the whole process,
- 1:32:02they kept throwing different styles at Joker, you know, bigger, faster,
- 1:32:10longer, trying to slow him down. But when you're three times MVP in
- 1:32:14the last five years, it's hard to do. But the Timberwolves having enough
- 1:32:21to make their way to take on Dallas now the way they won, do
- 1:32:28you think that gives the Timberwolves a mental boost going into this next series.
- 1:32:36I think they will look at the Dallas Mavericks and feel very confident that it's
- 1:32:47a series that they can win. From the basis that the Timberwolves all year
- 1:32:55long has been one of the top two three defenses in the league, and
- 1:33:02they is basically they play defense. Dallas doesn't. But we also have a
- 1:33:08guy that can score forty five points and Anthony Edwards, So I would actually
- 1:33:15give the edge to them as far as the idea where in the series the
- 1:33:25mental edge they can play defense, I think that's why they were coming against
- 1:33:29against Denver. They have a lineup they can multiple day have the six man
- 1:33:33of the year in the read guys right, they got the defensive player of
- 1:33:39the year and go Bear. They got two All Stars and Anthony Towns and
- 1:33:45Edwards. Mike Conley been around like twelve years, I don't see and Dallas
- 1:33:50is kind of winning. Like they're winning right, It's not like you look
- 1:33:54at them and after you get past Luca and Kyrie, everybody else is kind
- 1:33:59of an even matchup. So and they had from what I saw with the
- 1:34:04with Dallas series against Oklahoma City is that it's kind of simple to defend Dallas.
- 1:34:12It's just a matter of like being just having the awareness to do it.
- 1:34:16Yeah, you can double team Luca, but you got to remember if
- 1:34:20he's going to pass it, who he may be passing to, Like is
- 1:34:24it a guy who can shoot? Is it a guy underneath the basket?
- 1:34:28And he's been dealing with injuries too, Luca, Yeah, he kind of
- 1:34:32is just able to slow the game down and he plays at the top of
- 1:34:36the keel lite. I was going to say that their style of play has
- 1:34:42sort of insulated him from having to display how injured he might truly be.
- 1:34:49And when I watch a game these days, the one thing that I do
- 1:34:54find fascinating is that I don't see a lot of consistent strategy towards your weakness.
- 1:35:03They used to really really focus on exploiting your weakness. If you had
- 1:35:09a if there was a player, you were trying to pack one like a
- 1:35:12Iverson. They're not gonna let Iverson get off the hook. If they got
- 1:35:17Michael Jordan, he remember, they're gonna post him up. They're gonna try
- 1:35:21to exploit it. Yeah, you can't shoot free throws. Were gonna keep
- 1:35:25keep doing what you're doing. I'm surprised with watching Luca and maybe because remember
- 1:35:29this game here will happen like Wednesday. So in my mind, as a
- 1:35:34coach, whoever Luca is Garden, I need you just play fast. I
- 1:35:41need you to always keep him on the run. Don't ever bail him out
- 1:35:45walking the ball down the court, even if it's just simple as that,
- 1:35:47if he asks you and you're bringing the ball down the court, make him
- 1:35:51turn and run on that leg. People are like, that's the wrong thing
- 1:35:56to do. I watch football games all the time. It's like, well,
- 1:36:00if the guy was over there rubbing his hamstring. We need to check
- 1:36:03to a go round and that's right now, like forget what the play is.
- 1:36:10Man, he was kind of limping back to the huddle. Well let's
- 1:36:12see, let's see if it's But do you think the hesitancy is We've seen
- 1:36:16stuff where people get criticized for running up the score. Like the clock is
- 1:36:21still going, the game is still going. What are we supposed to do?
- 1:36:26Just go oh man, we beating y'all so bad, we're gonna stop
- 1:36:28playing. No, we keep stop me. That used to be. But
- 1:36:31now maybe that's why you don't see that kind of strategy is because people complain,
- 1:36:36how you know, how horrible of you? A couple of years ago,
- 1:36:40one second on the shot clock, it just goes in. I remember
- 1:36:44when Drew Bledsoe not Drew Brees hurt his hand and watching the game, and
- 1:36:49they was kind of like defending that the defensive guy shouldn't be like trying to
- 1:36:57hit his hand right like that that they're attacking that throwing hand. That changed
- 1:37:03a little bit. Someone in the NFL is gonna have to somebody needs to
- 1:37:08investigate them. Meanwhile, his coaches on something keep getting that hand boy,
- 1:37:12keep getting in there and getting that her hand. Get that hand strategy.
- 1:37:16All your moves need to be something. When you slap him down, trying
- 1:37:20to hit that thumb, drop him his whole by on the hand, he
- 1:37:26out there kind of already like this, let's see then yeah, he got
- 1:37:29already with the little t rex. Let's let's get let's get it that hand
- 1:37:32and they kill me with that. So I watched Luca and I kept thinking,
- 1:37:36man, and just keep pushing it, keep making him defend. Just
- 1:37:41put him in the mix to check that injury out. Don't let him just
- 1:37:44sit over there and be able to nurse the injury. And I would think
- 1:37:46that you'd have to at least try that. We got at least try to
- 1:37:50tactic. That's what I man like Anthony Edwards and the speed and youth that
- 1:37:56he has, I would harass and all that all night long. We'll be

- 1:41:25back to this moy Shock Show. I'm this morn Shock wing Candy. Good
- 1:41:28morning to you out there and listening. Lane kind of save this story because
- 1:41:32you try to come off the weekend with a little more up tempo and try
- 1:41:38not to start the day off on a sour note. But we as a
- 1:41:43country and as long as I have a micaelor a voice, or a chance
- 1:41:46to live to to remind people because it seems that quickly we can move on.
- 1:42:00Sometimes that's a good thing. Sometimes it's a bad thing. And balancing
- 1:42:05that, to me, has always been the key. You don't in the
- 1:42:09harbor on something too long that it affects your ability to move on. But
- 1:42:15you don't want to let it go too fast that you don't really see the
- 1:42:18significance in it. And I'm saying that Commanche and Big Kenny based on another
- 1:42:24mass shooting, and these are mass shootings, yes, And I think sometimes
- 1:42:30even in that it's losing its impact because now we say mass shooting and everything.
- 1:42:38We have categorized that as something at a school or some kind of library
- 1:42:45or the mall. But no, any time there's a group of people anywhere
- 1:42:54shot shot at, that's a mass shooting. It doesn't have to be in
- 1:42:58a particular bill. It doesn't have to be down at the city hall.
- 1:43:03It can just be at a bus stop or a park. Those are And
- 1:43:11that's why when you read at the end of the year and a lot of
- 1:43:13you, it's eye popping because it might say something that it was, oh
- 1:43:17it was one hundred and seventeen mass shootings, and you're like, man,
- 1:43:20I missed because you were looking for the ones at the school. You was
- 1:43:26looking for the ones that resonate more as though it was in a movie where
- 1:43:32large public areas. Right. And I'm saying all that because it's hit home
- 1:43:39to me once again my home state, which is Florida, Sarasota, Florida,
- 1:43:43and my college Auburn. Auburn running back Brian Battie, the twenty two
- 1:43:49year old would be a senior this year, coming up part of a mass
- 1:43:56shooting down in Sarasota one that six people shot, one pronounced dead, which
- 1:44:04is Battist's brother. The twenty four year old passed away. Brian and his
- 1:44:15brother both shot in the head. Brian is still in critical condition, his
- 1:44:18brother has passed away. And for other people, now, this was around
- 1:44:25three o'clock in the morning. Brian is from South Florida, so it sounds
- 1:44:30like he was back in his home area. And once again, as I
- 1:44:38am bringing this to you, it's always if this was some kind of cheating
- 1:44:45scandal, some kind of nil impropriety, it's national news. You'd have been
- 1:44:54waiting on me to talk about this this morning. Can you believe Hugh Freese,
- 1:44:59Gaye, Brian Battie, a free car. Everybody loves that stuff.
- 1:45:05But when it comes to real life, fighting for his life, yea brother
- 1:45:11dead, three or four of my other friends or some weariness, four other
- 1:45:15people got shot, and uh, it's just it's just the casualness in which
- 1:45:23we seem to view these stories. I don't know if it's just because we
- 1:45:29are scared to alert the world that is still going on, so we cover
- 1:45:33it up with other things, as I'm saying, and I can make any
- 1:45:38scandal, Yeah, stand out in front of a shooting where six people were
- 1:45:45involved with an athlete. That if he did some other things we've seen it,
- 1:45:53we've talked about on the show. Now, he could have done it.
- 1:45:56He could have went and said something against some one's religion. Yeah,
- 1:46:00he could have done something that said something against us, some group they'd have
- 1:46:03been protesting at the university, wanting to scholarship with send it and all of
- 1:46:08that stuff. We'd have talked about it for days, for days, we'd
- 1:46:11have been talking about it. Did you hear what he said about this group?
- 1:46:17But my brother, I lost my brother. I'm in the hospital and
- 1:46:23life and the story is back page nine down. And that's the that's the
- 1:46:32thing where I speak on it because it seems that we have totally lost the
- 1:46:38ability to care about real life and want to live like COMANCHI said, Greg
- 1:46:44was saying about a diddy in some kind of imaginary world. Because I'd get
- 1:46:50some coverage or every day I click on you keep telling me that j Lo
- 1:46:56and being getting divorced. You you don't even know if they really getting divorced
- 1:47:00on't he know if they married for real? But you keep reporting on it.
- 1:47:03I saw what I saw at the gym without a ring on. I
- 1:47:08saw him. He ain't do this on that day. So all this about
- 1:47:11that, But you haven't said one thing about Brian Batti International public. Wait,
- 1:47:19but when James took them crab legs and when he was strong and you
- 1:47:27were strong, or when someone gets suspended for some pds, it's like the
- 1:47:34Holy grail man. Can you imagine that swimmer was on some peds the other
- 1:47:40day? Oh yeah, that kind of sound Well, six people got shot
- 1:47:45outside, that don't really sound good. Say six people people in the head
- 1:47:49and the party that so in other news that's and that's how fast they move,
- 1:47:57and that's how fast do you think sometimes that with the mass shootings,
- 1:48:00it's the number wasn't large enough. Six's to me that I mean, that's
- 1:48:06large, But when we traditionally report on it, it's forty and fifty,
- 1:48:12right, And that's what I'm saying. It needs to be a whole.
- 1:48:15Even if they if only six got shot, we needed seventy involved. We
- 1:48:20need everybody running everywhere, pictures of people scattering. But six people, one
- 1:48:27dead, one possibly the young man could lose his life today and Brian four
- 1:48:31other shots. That's a mass shooting. It is. That is a mass
- 1:48:35shooting. So don't when you see or we report at some point that has
- 1:48:40been x amount that these count and that's where you know that number gets thrown
- 1:48:45off with people. Oh man, I must have missed a hundred of them.
- 1:48:49No, it's any time you have two or more people, that's a
- 1:48:54mass shooting. Yes it is. We'll be back with more than Sports Jock
- 1:48:57Show right after this session delivery. We won't stop sess delivery dam as we'n't

- 1:49:18And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three quarters of Americans
- 1:49:24believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine
- 1:49:29percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me and my
- 1:49:31wife were just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever life insurance.
- 1:49:35What's the last thing on my mind? What about you? Will you
- 1:49:38be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a kid in
- 1:49:42college and bills piling up, I was worried how my family will survived without

- 1:51:28It's time for a school board when we put a spin on life and
- 1:51:32sports and how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Word
- 1:51:56up went back to the Sports Shock Show. Up with Sports Shock Wayne can
- 1:51:59DC is the City Kicker. Harrison Bucker Jersey sales are spiking, just like
- 1:52:08everything else in this country. Seems that controversy people used to shy against negative,
- 1:52:17now they will celebrate it as well. We're so divided we want to
- 1:52:24make sure we recognize who we're standing with. All this comes from Harrison Buckner's
- 1:52:30comments at a commencement ceremony and even here on the show when we talk,
- 1:52:35we really didn't get into what he said as much as where he said it.
- 1:52:45We're more on the stands of freedom at least I am freedom of speech,
- 1:52:49but that doesn't mean that you have the freedom to hijack your speech,
- 1:52:55freedom to hijack somebody's occasion if that's not what you want. They brought you
- 1:53:00in to talk about this thing, and then you try to go viral on
- 1:53:04another way. So if you're going to take that's what I brought you in
- 1:53:09that celebration commencement speech, it's more of a celebration, not an indictment.
- 1:53:15And it just seemed like to be the wrong kind of conversation on kind of
- 1:53:25the tone, the mood, the whole vio. Yeah, your whole that's
- 1:53:31the whole thing where some people oh no he has freedom, Yeah he does,
- 1:53:35and at something else he could have had that same speech after week,
- 1:53:42Like I think people still misinterpret what freedom of speech actually as far as like
- 1:53:46the law actually entails. Doesn't mean like you can say whatever you want and
- 1:53:51the government can't come after you. It's not like you can say whatever you
- 1:53:56want to anyone at any time and there are no consequences. Well, as
- 1:54:00far as your job or how you're perceived in the public. And I think
- 1:54:05that people in a country that's predicating on freedoms, we see anything outside of
- 1:54:14financial or physical liability, like if we don't get physically hurt or you can't
- 1:54:20sue me or fire me, we see that as a win. So I'm
- 1:54:25not my reputation as long as these few people like me. Because for everyone
- 1:54:30who's come out and said Harrison Buckner or Bucker whatever his last name is,
- 1:54:34is an idiot, there have been twelve or thirteen people that go, is
- 1:54:40he really? And that's all he seems to really care about is those people.
- 1:54:44And so, and that's why I took the stance of not trying to
- 1:54:46get into what you said, right, it's just where you get into where
- 1:54:51you're saying. If you're you're a DJ, you're a comedian, and I
- 1:54:57tell you that I want you to come do I'm in DJ. My daughter's
- 1:55:03ten, your birthday. That's a different music set. And I imagine if
- 1:55:15you were a good DJ or a good person, if that's not the music
- 1:55:17that you have, you would say that not come with the Vegas forty year
- 1:55:27old oh yeah music. The same thing with a comedy. If that's not
- 1:55:31your if you can't do of grandma eightieth birthday, that might not be your
- 1:55:41jokes. And I've done, but I've done brands, eighty year old,
- 1:55:45everybody's birth everybody professional. Hey, what age group you want me to We're
- 1:55:54to have them jokes. I ain't got no job. I ain't got nothing,
- 1:55:59Joe. My jokes has something to do with, you know, some
- 1:56:02some clowns and a tied up monkey. I remember want to go well for
- 1:56:06eighty five year olds, you know that. I remember once sending some very
- 1:56:12conservative material to a group. They listened, watched, and said, you
- 1:56:16got anything more conservative? And I was like, if that's not for you,
- 1:56:20don't book me, And they were learning, we really know. No.
- 1:56:24I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I'm not finna dig that deep
- 1:56:28into the clean barrel. I mean, it's an empty barrel, and you're
- 1:56:31asking me to find something else now. And that's the part where I have
- 1:56:35stayed with it. I didn't getting into do. I believe what you're saying
- 1:56:42is right and wrong. In this country nowadays, it's just a bottomless pit
- 1:56:46of argument. But you can't control where and when you deliver something and that's
- 1:56:55the part that I'm saying that if that was how you felt, then you
- 1:56:59should to accept that their invitation true for that kind of thing, because you
- 1:57:04did. And as I said, all it is is putting on another shoe.
- 1:57:09Somebody comes to your and I'm supposed to get the toast at your wedding,
- 1:57:14like the same thing I was saying with Shack and I get up there.
- 1:57:17Yeah, I like to raise the toast to command you. Gregg and
- 1:57:19Alice. Yeah, I ain't really think he should marry Alice. I thought
- 1:57:24he should have married Tammy. You know, Alice really ain't really cut out
- 1:57:28for him. I don't even know why he decided to go through with that
- 1:57:30today. But hey, as long as you happy, you know, if
- 1:57:33you want to be with this miserable had a point to make, and that's
- 1:57:39that they were helping. He had a point to bake. Like, I
- 1:57:41know, y'all graduating college or everything, but y'all be much happier being mothers
- 1:57:45and wives. So that's all with that. But this Jersey sales are up
- 1:57:50for those people who really just want to be contrary and probably put it on
- 1:57:55the gram that they have. One is Harrison Buckner Ker yeah, is his
- 1:58:01name, and you said big King something before we go about doxing. The
- 1:58:08Attorney General of Missouri is asking for the mayor to turn over all of their
- 1:58:15social media records because an official city account put out Harrison Butker's address, and
- 1:58:25they call that doxing when you're trying to retaliate by someone against someone who you
- 1:58:29think has done some exposing where they live, right puts them in danger.
- 1:58:33So they said that happened from the mayor's office on an official account. Now,
- 1:58:38the age of the state once all of those records turned over because they
- 1:58:41say it's going to violate some of his religious beliefs. Also under investigation and
- 1:58:46let this air out a little more until our next show. The WNBA is
- 1:58:50investigating the Las Vegas Aces. Information has come out that all twelve of the
- 1:59:00ladies of the team all received one hundred thousand dollars sponsorship. Now, I
- 1:59:06don't know if this is something where they felt like they placed a bet or
- 1:59:11wager for all them to get the same exact amount of money, but they're
- 1:59:16investigating it. I guess from a gambling it's from the legal sponsorship, it's
- 1:59:21from the Las Vegas Tourism Board. So the legal sponsorship. Yeah, the
- 1:59:30board should have broken it up so the numbers didn't look the same. I'm
- 1:59:35telling you what happened? Equality? Excuse me? Equality? Yeah, you
- 1:59:42do know how to do the book? How did that all sink up?
- 1:59:46That? Every one? You got to know how to do quality? You
- 1:59:51gotta do something that lower hill Man, you do. We all know the
- 1:59:58truth is he will tell in the ocean. It's time to wrap things up
- 2:00:02on the Sports Judge Show with Wayne Candy. When your designs an oce,
- 2:00:33you give the sports shout Tessa minute to Vin. We'd like to thank you
- 2:00:38for tuning in to today's show. If you missed any of the show,
- 2:00:41please go to Amazon Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Deezer,
- 2:00:46or Audible for the replay. Thank you for your contributions, Big Kenny,
- 2:00:51Command Chee, Greg and you probably have already known from the music we were
- 2:00:57playing after this weekend and video coming to light about Sean Cohn's more monikers than
- 2:01:09I can remember, so we'll just call him Puff Daddy. You're not gonna
- 2:01:16be able to explain this in a way, Puffy. The only way you're
- 2:01:24gonna get this from the fade is through works and you're back hall on.
- 2:01:32This was not apologizing, it was ever trying to justify it within yourself.
- 2:01:43So even need that young lady to have to take you to court. You
- 2:01:50have three daughters, and something tells me you're one of the first men that
- 2:01:54want to go hire a hitman for somebody doing that to your daughter. You
- 2:02:00pulled the lady down and you kicked her. You kicked her h and you
- 2:02:12look comfortable doing it. You weren't looking around for no cameras, You didn't
- 2:02:15care that you was in a public place. It looked like you felt like
- 2:02:18it was puffy time. And take that. Take that. With all the
- 2:02:25apologies in the world, won't we ever remove that from most people's mind?
- 2:02:28And if you want to do something, then every day somebody needs to see
- 2:02:31you down at a battered woman's shelter, not with your pocket book, but
- 2:02:35with your work. And maybe maybe in time, but you ain't gonna be
- 2:02:44able to throw money or songs at this one. And it's gonna take a
- 2:02:47whole bunch of work. So for that, no diddy, fuck up clank,
- 2:03:04what's that did joke there, big Kenny? My diddy joke is after
- 2:03:08years of rumors and accusation surrounding music moguls Shine Diddy Combs. A video has
- 2:03:13recently been released proving once and for all that he is responsible for his own
- 2:03:18hits. Get it his own hitsmatch, He'll catch up a couple of minutes.
- 2:03:32Man, y'all have a good afternoon out there. Peace,
