- 0:00Hello, there. It's time for most things
- 0:03Kenobi. Hi everyone, welcome to another
- 0:19episode of most things Kenobi. A podcast about Obi-Wan Kenobi
- 0:23and all things. Star Wars.
- 0:25I'm your host Leanne, and I'm your host Lauren.
- 0:44And we're back. We're back.
- 0:47We did it. We've crossed the ocean twice.
- 0:53Yes and came back with a cold that we are both currently
- 0:58experiencing. As we record this I'm coming out
- 1:01of my cold but Lauren is in the thick of hers so we even share
- 1:05illnesses as space twins. Be shared germs.
- 1:13Yeah. So pardon me.
- 1:14This is what has allowed allowed cold?
- 1:19Yes. Well, he's kind of worth it.
- 1:25We had we shared memories, we shared laughs.
- 1:30It was good. I'm really proud of us for what
- 1:33we did and yeah I'm really glad we got to do it together.
- 1:38Me too. It was really fun and they're
- 1:40just there's so many highlights. Oh my gosh, I was trying to
- 1:43write some of them down the other day.
- 1:46I got as far as the and or panel and then sort of deep diving
- 1:50into it. I'm like I'm never ever gonna
- 1:53get past this because just that alone was so much information.
- 1:59Yeah, I do. Do have to say the panels that
- 2:01we got to sit in on? We're probably the best ones,
- 2:05especially for what you, and I enjoy the most out of Star Wars,
- 2:09which is, and or clone wars and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
- 2:14Yeah. In that order, we saw the Ahsoka
- 2:16panel to, but those those other three were really, like, what I
- 2:20would literally travel over an ocean to see any one of those
- 2:23panels? Yes, there they were fantastic.
- 2:27And the best part was is that Lauren and I Were there for the
- 2:3010th anniversary, Clone Wars panel, at San Diego Comic-Con
- 2:34and then we were in London together for the 15th
- 2:37anniversary Clone Wars panel. So we're making a habit of this
- 2:44and they're so good. Those Clone Wars panels are so
- 2:47much fun because everyone on the panel is already a friend.
- 2:53Like they are friends with each other and as as fascinating as
- 2:59Dora was and as you know, emotional as the Obi-Wan was the
- 3:05Clone Wars one was just Joy. It was like, being with old
- 3:09friends, it really was. I mean I laughed more at that
- 3:13panel that I did the entire weekend's worth of panels
- 3:16together, including the one that I was on, so which wow that
- 3:23happened, I will talk about it. That was so great.
- 3:27That was awesome. And we got to see Dave filoni
- 3:31tear up which is also a rare occurrence that is rare.
- 3:36I've seen him many times now and he always kind of like a guy.
- 3:41Let's we're not going to do that.
- 3:42Like I don't want to have the emotional, put his hat over his
- 3:46face and just be like gasp stop complimenting me.
- 3:50But what he said, I thought was really beautiful.
- 3:53He said that he made tales of the Jedi, basically, because he
- 3:56loved the people. He worked with on Clone Wars so
- 3:58much. In the voice actors that he made
- 4:01up an excuse to get them all in a room together again and work
- 4:05on a project together. I love that.
- 4:07If I had that much ability to just, hey, I really like these
- 4:10people. I'm gonna just make up a
- 4:12television show to get them all back in a room together, that is
- 4:15a tremendous amount of luckiness.
- 4:19Yeah, seriously is a man with powers.
- 4:23What he is? Yes.
- 4:25Yes, I did not get to meet him. Not this time, I didn't Get to
- 4:29meet anyone but Andy Serkis which I'm just fine with.
- 4:33I made the man laughs. Oh, that was great.
- 4:35Yeah, you got you got a really good interaction with him.
- 4:38That was awesome. And you were creeping on Mads
- 4:43Mikkelsen, which is totally fine.
- 4:47Hey, he's Hannibal Lecter, he's used to creeps true.
- 4:55Oh my God, I was just such a spaz about it too, but Yes, I've
- 5:00Loved Mads Mikkelsen for I don't even know how long like a very
- 5:04long time. And so to see him in person I
- 5:07was totally geeking out, thank you for taking pictures because
- 5:10I was way too nervous to see if you're if you're absolutely
- 5:14welcome. I have no problem also being a
- 5:16creep. For indulging other people and
- 5:22trying to get an incognito photo without anyone noticing.
- 5:26I love that. So buddy.
- 5:29Yeah, the man has cheekbones that defy Humanity.
- 5:31It's insane. So before we get into the thick
- 5:37of things, I think we should. I think we should give a special
- 5:40shout-out to the reason why I'm still a little bit choked up
- 5:47over just being there and that's our friends that we got to hang
- 5:51out with. Yeah, that honestly Meeting
- 5:55those folks was one of the highlights of the whole
- 5:58experience. Truthfully, let's call them out
- 6:03Z Charlotte Salome Anna, Jeff, where Jeff Geoffrey?
- 6:10I think he goes, he can go by Geoffrey Hale.
- 6:13Excuse me, right? I pronounce it right at the
- 6:15time. But without without the moments
- 6:20that we had, with those very special individuals, it wouldn't
- 6:24have been a special of a weekend.
- 6:25Honestly. True.
- 6:28There are patrons. Some of them.
- 6:31They are our friends. There are listeners.
- 6:33They are amazing people. And we are so happy.
- 6:36We got to meet them and hang out with him and just deuce the Star
- 6:41Wars thing together. Yes, I think it's amazing.
- 6:46How it's just an example of when you put your genuine self out
- 6:51there, you're like a magnet for people who are similar and
- 6:55like-minded and like similar stuff to you.
- 6:59And that's why that group, you know, Anna was friends with
- 7:03Charlotte. It.
- 7:04And we were kind of all friends with z and then we all got to
- 7:08meet in person and it's just easy, you know, everyone gets
- 7:12along even though it's the first time we met Anna.
- 7:15Yeah, you know, it's so great. And there's that commonality.
- 7:19Obviously, you love Star Wars, but I think that because we, you
- 7:24and I are very particularly, like drawn to Luke and Obi-Wan
- 7:28and Anakin Clone Wars, especially it makes for Really
- 7:34special group of people that we end up hanging out with,
- 7:38including even other plane ride home going through security at
- 7:44the airport. Is we met a young teenage girl
- 7:48who was like? Oh, I like your sweater.
- 7:50No one ever has Clone Wars Obi-Wan on anything.
- 7:54Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:55And she was just adorable and was so jazzed about Star Wars
- 8:00and didn't even know celebration existed.
- 8:03Yeah. And she She yelled at us through
- 8:05security, May the force be with you and she was waving and if
- 8:09that isn't the spirit of what brings us all together, and what
- 8:14celebration is, and what cons are, you know, yeah, it's really
- 8:19great. Absolutely.
- 8:22All right. So where do we even start with
- 8:24any of this? I mean, I think we just go day
- 8:28by day because that's okay. That'll probably be our easiest
- 8:31way to get through it all. Well, my He started before yours
- 8:35because I had to get to you first.
- 8:37Yeah. And then the plane ride to
- 8:41London was effortless. The train ride to our hotel was
- 8:45an experience new for me. And so we traveled on Wednesday,
- 8:51got there on Thursday morning and went over and got our badges
- 8:55Thursday afternoon, and that was our first official look at how
- 9:01it was going to look the next day when it officially began.
- 9:04And it looked pretty cool. I mean it was real it was
- 9:07happening. By the time we took our first
- 9:09picture, it was like, oh my God. Yeah, I'm glad we went and got
- 9:13our badges the night before, because it was a shit show the
- 9:17next morning when we got there, oh my God, it wasn't just the
- 9:20next morning. It was a shit.
- 9:21Show the whole weekend. Yeah, that's true.
- 9:24I will say, like, I felt like Comic-Con was a lot for me and
- 9:29that's why I kind of preferred celebration because it was like
- 9:32Comic-Con, but like died down B, there weren't as many people.
- 9:35You can walk around. This was worse than Comic-Con.
- 9:39I don't know how many people attended, but it was so packed.
- 9:44The first of all, if there had been an emergency, we had all
- 9:47died. Yeah, we said that all weekend
- 9:50like just the sheer amount of people per square foot in that
- 9:57in the Excel Centre I have to say I haven't been to other
- 10:01celebrations, this was my first celebration, so I I really don't
- 10:04have a library to pull from you've been to several but
- 10:09compared to the San Diego Conference Center, where San
- 10:15Diego Comic-Con is held. They had a third of the people
- 10:20at the celebration and it felt like claustrophobic.
- 10:23Yeah. And in my opinion, I don't think
- 10:26the Excel Centre is a place that can host large amounts of people
- 10:30in panels in queueing lines. We had No idea where we were
- 10:35going. Where do we line up?
- 10:36What do we do? What time?
- 10:39You know, the people who are working there?
- 10:40God bless them. They were just trying to hang
- 10:43on. You did seriously.
- 10:45Oh my God. The food vendors alone?
- 10:48I don't know how they managed to deal with as much garbage.
- 10:53Literally garbage and garbage. You know, angry people and it
- 10:59just everything. It was a lot.
- 11:02It was a lot of toilets didn't work, can we?
- 11:04Like the toilets because you know how I feel about the
- 11:08toilets. The toilets did not flush a one
- 11:11out of every four. Toilets flushed in the Excel
- 11:13Centre, you know, there are quite a lot of bathrooms but
- 11:16when there's like, I don't know, a hundred thousand people trying
- 11:19to use them. It was insane.
- 11:22Yeah. It was a lot, but it looked
- 11:25great. The artwork was hanging up in
- 11:27the hallway and you you and I both loved the artwork.
- 11:29We weren't we weren't alone. Everyone loved the artwork.
- 11:32It was fabulous. Oh my God.
- 11:35It's sold out really fast. Yeah and it was really
- 11:39expensive. Oh my gosh.
- 11:41I know what they did offer well-deserved.
- 11:44The artist is super talented and she was saying that she made.
- 11:49I don't even remember how many images total, but it ended up
- 11:54being where each individual character.
- 11:56If you laid them out in a certain format, it was one giant
- 12:00image so that the Ville the backgrounds connected and It and
- 12:05freaking amazing but I could not afford it.
- 12:08No, it was. It was pretty pricey but you did
- 12:12manage to get Han Solo Princess Leia and Cassie and and or on
- 12:16your badges. I did so happy and she even
- 12:20posted, I think Z shared with me.
- 12:23She posted a tweet saying that she fought for Cassie and that
- 12:28they had wanted. Yes.
- 12:29Another Return of the Jedi character and she was like, no,
- 12:32you're putting Cassie and so when I Her at her table.
- 12:35I shouted. Thank you for putting kissing on
- 12:37the badges and she's like you saw my tweet.
- 12:40Yes it was listen and, or was probably the most vocal cosplay.
- 12:48Oh yeah, fan group, it had a huge presence and I was so happy
- 12:54that it did because everyone kind of said like it was gonna
- 12:58be the sleeper show and it was, you know, it.
- 13:02Yeah. It didn't have the same star.
- 13:04Bohr's formula that other shows did everyone loved it and it
- 13:08showed. Yeah, just the amount of
- 13:12prisoners running up and down the aisles, one way out.
- 13:18One way out, you know, and then they got on stage and it was
- 13:20this thing. And, and or panel was amazing,
- 13:23just to hear Tony Gilroy get it here and vocalize it.
- 13:29Fantastic. And I just like that whole
- 13:32panel, each person who was on there.
- 13:34Is an unexpected choice for maybe a panel like this, you
- 13:40would think the actors would be on there and you know it was
- 13:44Tony Gilroy Kathleen, Kennedy Diego Luna.
- 13:48Then it was the editor who is actually Tony Gilroy is brother
- 13:52and one of the writers is also trying to kill Troy's brother,
- 13:55Andre had. They had the oh God, I can't
- 13:59remember it off the costume. Kashia, the cutter costume
- 14:02designer. Nick Nicholas.
- 14:04Tell the the composer and then they have the set designer, the
- 14:09like production designer who designed all of the barracks and
- 14:13all the sets. Yes, each one of those people
- 14:17are geniuses on their own, it was really nice to hear from
- 14:22each one of them, their insights.
- 14:24So intelligent and like, yes. Like you said, the inside, just
- 14:28blew my fucking mind. They went, they explained things
- 14:31that even though I'm obsessed with this show, Blew my mind and
- 14:35I was like, the I knew it was there.
- 14:37I just didn't know what it meant and they never told you what it
- 14:39meant. They just needed it to mean
- 14:41something to them, like the gifs.
- 14:44On the wall. Yes.
- 14:45The gloves on the wall. Yeah.
- 14:47We talked about how little elements like this really
- 14:49fucking matter. Yeah, it really matters and it
- 14:53matter to them and it showed. Yeah.
- 14:57And like it informed, the music, the design, the writing, the
- 15:01acting everything, but they never explained it to the
- 15:03audience, like, you. And I, when we first saw even
- 15:06mentioned that the shot of all the gloves hanging on the wall
- 15:09and how it's a mining town and that was really meaningful.
- 15:13But Tony Gilroy said, those gloves are passed down from
- 15:18father to son or, you know, parent to child.
- 15:21They have a specific place on the wall and it means something,
- 15:24it's a union hall. And he's Like that's the kind of
- 15:28show we wanted to be. We wanted to make those kind of
- 15:30creative choices and you know why every character does what
- 15:35they do, even Diego, Luna has said like his costumes, head,
- 15:38zippers and Pockets that were specific for Cassian and he knew
- 15:42what they were for. I mean, that's fucking awesome.
- 15:47I know, it's it was you and I were sitting there like nodding
- 15:52Unison because it's like, yes, exactly.
- 15:55Yes, exactly. We kept like saying, It in our
- 15:57minds. Yeah, because it is just a
- 16:02cohesive unit and you could tell that everyone on that stage.
- 16:06That was part of what part of the panel, but a part of the
- 16:09show were all in. They were all in step with each
- 16:13other. Yeah.
- 16:14And it was a seamless adaptation into the show and it was it was
- 16:21really beautiful. Some fun facts.
- 16:24Like They chose the dam for the L Donnie.
- 16:31Right. That whole storyline was the
- 16:33first hydrologic damn ever. Yeah.
- 16:36Which to me as someone who's deep in hydrology, I didn't know
- 16:41that. So what even that like meant
- 16:44something to them? Like they're like, oh we need a
- 16:47damn and we needed to be somewhere, you know?
- 16:49And the fact that they built sets they went out and did it in
- 16:54like in real life. Life.
- 16:55Yeah, said of a blue or a green screen, right?
- 16:58We've been seeing it since day one and that it really showed
- 17:01and it really matters and then they gave voice to that at the
- 17:05panel and it was nice to just hear it was validating but I
- 17:10think it was really validating for them to see like the like
- 17:13the people who were there for those panels really fucking like
- 17:18that show. Yeah.
- 17:20It's not just like casual interest and like the fact that
- 17:24they had the Like you said the prisoners and while you're
- 17:27walking through the convention, all of a sudden, you hear one
- 17:30way, one way out and gets louder and louder.
- 17:32And then like hundreds of them, I have 100 over just running
- 17:37down the aisle, and there's no room for them.
- 17:39So, the fact that people parted ways are did the, the see there
- 17:43to let them through, and not only that, but some of them had
- 17:46like, inflatable, unicorn, rafts and Lifesavers.
- 17:50And they, they added humor to it, which I fucking appreciate
- 17:54so much. Well, you know what's really
- 17:56appropriate to? It's because they always play
- 17:58The Ten Commandments on Easter on TV and pose was easily.
- 18:04So Moses split the Red Sea for an Arcana. 52 runs.
- 18:09Yes, it's so good. Oh my God.
- 18:14It was so good. I really enjoyed.
- 18:17I'm glad we got to see that. I mean, we me and you agreed.
- 18:22We both had to try and get to that one.
- 18:23And I'm glad we got to see that. And they showed a preview for
- 18:27the upcoming season. Yeah.
- 18:30II was. I loved it and then I don't know
- 18:32if you noticed, but at the end they show Cassian like dressed
- 18:37to the nines and his hairs like all slicked back and he looks
- 18:41perfect sexy and he turns to the camera and the audience just
- 18:44went what. Yeah, it was really good.
- 18:49You know, he looks, he looks different but he looks really
- 18:53good in that scene, he looks Beautiful.
- 18:55He looks like he's like with mon mothma somewhere?
- 18:58I don't know. He looks like Regal almost like
- 19:02he's probably undercover somehow.
- 19:05I don't care. But I'm here for it.
- 19:07Yes I am. I can't wait.
- 19:10I think it's going to be great. It's the only other season.
- 19:14We're getting of it, right? Yeah.
- 19:16There's only I mean we know where it goes and they said it's
- 19:19going to go right up to where Rogue one begins.
- 19:22Yeah literally Cassie and walking Onto the ship to go to
- 19:26the Ring of caffeine. I'm I'm like so excited and so
- 19:31nervous. They keep talking about how they
- 19:34want you to see Rogue one with a fresh eyes.
- 19:39I don't want to, I know what you mean.
- 19:44There's some cautious optimism there.
- 19:46Yeah. Like I feel like what they did
- 19:48with season one beautifully dovetails and makes kissy and
- 19:53make sense and I'm just really afraid.
- 19:55They're gonna make a statement about something that fans have
- 19:59opinions on or somebody's. Like I hope that because it's
- 20:03Tony Gilroy Hill and he was he was not like a lead writer but
- 20:07he had a lot to do with Rogue one.
- 20:09You know, he actually is the reason broke one got finished
- 20:12and like, he did rewrites enough to actually get like a lead
- 20:16writing credit of the, on the movie.
- 20:18So, I pray to God above that. He's not gonna mess up what I
- 20:24love. And just like have it seamlessly
- 20:27tie in and just add like, more to it.
- 20:31That's like you said I'm cautiously nervously optimistic.
- 20:35Yes. Right.
- 20:36I know, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what we're
- 20:40definitely gonna have to get K. Right?
- 20:42Like K is going to be 0 here. I mean that's the thing.
- 20:45I was expecting it and season one and we didn't get it.
- 20:47So yeah, it's definitely happening and I'm excited for
- 20:51it. Did you see backstage somebody
- 20:54with star? Wars.com I think was asking
- 20:57Diego Luna to pick. Did he prefer be or k0?
- 21:02He was like, I can't answer that.
- 21:04He's like I won't I'm not gonna answer.
- 21:06He said that it looks like B is like the best friend you could
- 21:09ever have and he's useless. But K is like could help you
- 21:16with any situation. He's like no I refuse to answer
- 21:18that. I like both.
- 21:19Yeah that's like we did get to meet.
- 21:22Be too emo e mo. Is it me too?
- 21:25Yeah, I'm ob2 emo. It was they were in the hallway,
- 21:29I could get gassy and, you know, and his head went up and down.
- 21:32It was so cutie at this little, the one eyeball or I really make
- 21:39this into a humanite, humanized thing, but it really isn't.
- 21:42It's just a Droid. What is that?
- 21:44Oh, if someone is going to sell some be like, if they do abuse,
- 21:49you is something. I will buy it because he's so
- 21:51fucking cute. I love him.
- 21:53Yeah. And He did the final he brought
- 21:59Marva to Life One Last Time and to me that was the most crucial
- 22:03moment in the entire Series so far the season the winner gets
- 22:10kicked over bra. So yes the bright I started.
- 22:13Yeah that's it, that's it. No one harms the innocent Droid?
- 22:18No well I guess that dovetails into me meeting Andy Serkis as
- 22:25Reef is it was? It was a delight.
- 22:27Yeah, he's signed the picture one way out, of course, it's
- 22:32great. And I said to him, Well, you
- 22:38know, everyone knows I love Lord of the Rings and Andy Serkis is
- 22:41Golem, okay? Golem is the Keystone of
- 22:45everything that transpires in Lord of the Rings.
- 22:49In fact, Frodo couldn't finish his journey without Smeagol /
- 22:54Golem, right? Andy Serkis is that.
- 22:56So to Me, Andy Serkis is Lord of the Rings first and Star Wars
- 23:00second. So that was why I chose to get
- 23:03an autograph from him and just thank him.
- 23:06For his roles, in both of my most favorite fandoms, Lord of
- 23:10the Rings and Star Wars. And I said he's writing, you
- 23:14know, he's trying to get my name spelled correctly and he's doing
- 23:17the one way out thing and I'm just talking because that's what
- 23:19I do. And I said, thank you for making
- 23:22me. Crying, Lord of the Rings and
- 23:24then making me cry in Star Wars. Thank you for that.
- 23:28I know, it's not every day. That a woman thinks a man for
- 23:30making her cry. But here I am, and he made him
- 23:33laugh. So hard.
- 23:35That he had to stop writing altogether.
- 23:36Other and his assistant in the back was laughing.
- 23:40And I said, no. But for real though, Andy like,
- 23:42for real, and he's like, oh no. I get it.
- 23:44Thank you. He's like he was laughing.
- 23:48He's, he's kind of precious. I'm not gonna lie.
- 23:51He's very humble for the amount of talent that He has.
- 23:54Yeah, in his wide array of roles and the shit they make him do as
- 24:01he wears the dot suit, you know, for multiple roles.
- 24:05He's got this crazy. Vocal performance, but then he
- 24:08does really physical. I mean, obviously he's done
- 24:12schmegle. Smeagol schmegle.
- 24:15And then he was a big, big lie? SRI, go on a bagel.
- 24:20Yes, that's what I was thinking, Shmi, or Smeagol.
- 24:26He's physically snoke. When he was, he was doing that
- 24:30role for Star Wars and then he's, like, Planet of the Apes.
- 24:34He actually does the like physical.
- 24:36Stuff. He says they give him these
- 24:37little, like, they're kind of like crutches so that he can do
- 24:41like walking on his knuckles, kind of like it.
- 24:44Yeah, it's crazy easy. He had two as Gollum, he had to
- 24:49be crouched like a frog. Most of his performance which is
- 24:55On thinkable to me how uncomfortable that would get
- 24:59after some time. Yeah, I need to do it for three
- 25:01films because he's in all three films, so I don't know.
- 25:05Hats off to him. He had an amazing performance in
- 25:09and or the the performance that made me cry.
- 25:12Yeah, literally break down. I mean, that was the most moving
- 25:16besides Marva. Those two were the ones that
- 25:20brought me to my knees crying with that show.
- 25:23It was a pleasure. It was an absolute pleasure to
- 25:25get to spend five minutes thanking him for making me cry
- 25:29and all the movies that he's bending.
- 25:34Shout out to the DLR and London but forgetting our ass
- 25:41everywhere. The real MVP is the DLR which
- 25:46was the hbic of London that we get, it was man, those trains
- 25:52carried a lot of smelly, smelly people over the oyster has a
- 25:59whole new meaning to me. It is no longer a Shellfish,
- 26:05mollusk thing that you eat, it's it's a way of life to the
- 26:12regular londoners trying to go about your business.
- 26:15We apologize. And we thank you for your
- 26:17patience. We did take over the, the lines
- 26:23leaving. I mean, you and I were trying to
- 26:25eat our last bit of food for the day, which was terrible Friday
- 26:30evening, and they wanted us out at seven.
- 26:33And when they said, Seven. They meant seven.
- 26:35They were shouting at us to hurry up and finish our food.
- 26:38So we could leave. I mean, wtf and we didn't.
- 26:43Yeah, we didn't, we said, fuck you.
- 26:45What are we going to go do stand in line for the DLR?
- 26:48Like, yeah. And that's what they, I mean, I
- 26:51think we did it right, we sat there.
- 26:52I ate really slow. And that sea of humanity, the
- 26:56walk past us was, I don't know. 30 minutes long, at least solid
- 27:01people just walked all looking right past.
- 27:03It was Saying, see the thing about the Excel Centre that made
- 27:07it. So just not great for a con is
- 27:11that there's seating and restaurants and kiosks and food
- 27:15things all the way down the middle.
- 27:17Yeah. And it split people into a left
- 27:21and a right aisle. And it squeezed, it squeeze them
- 27:25in. And so there was nowhere for you
- 27:27to spread out and get any fucking are ya and cue lines
- 27:32were on the opposite side of the hall as where the actual main
- 27:37stage was. So they had to split.
- 27:40When the queue line was moving into the main stage area, for
- 27:44the panel, they had to stop the main flow of traffic.
- 27:47Yeah, to get us to cross the thing which is It's insane to
- 27:52think about just not the most efficient Convention Center that
- 27:57I've seen well, and even the convention floors, like the
- 28:01shopping areas that everything, those were total height in,
- 28:04they're gonna split and like there was half of it on one side
- 28:08then you'd have to cross the hall full of a million people to
- 28:12get to the other side and it was just the flow was really bad.
- 28:18It was really tight. Was it was?
- 28:19It was you couldn't Really take time to enjoy some of the cool
- 28:24things like they had statues from Return of the Jedi, they
- 28:27had a k2s oh there they and they change them out every day.
- 28:30They put new props and different things up every day and and they
- 28:34had a cool set up with a death star.
- 28:36And you could hold Vader and Luke's lightsaber is and get
- 28:39your picture taken. Couldn't get near it.
- 28:41There just was no way to get near any Booth.
- 28:44We bought nothing. We bought II was able to snag a
- 28:48like three pins and two. Or three items from the main
- 28:52shopping. The main, like merchandise store
- 28:55for the con, and that was it because you couldn't get near
- 28:57anything else. It was impossible.
- 28:59It was it was insane, which was probably better for my wallet in
- 29:03the lawn upset. But totally.
- 29:06Yeah, I mean, even, even getting into the store, the official
- 29:10store. Thank God.
- 29:11We had, we won a lottery to get a reservation piece, but the
- 29:15store by the time you get in, it's like, it's like a bomb.
- 29:19Goes off. Like the, the Stuff is just
- 29:21thrown all over the place. It's spilling off shelves.
- 29:25People just pick it and throw it.
- 29:27If they don't want it. It's it's a mix of being
- 29:30disorganized and also people just like running through and
- 29:35just grabbing throwing stuff and I guess we got a few items from
- 29:40the store that we're good. You got what you were looking
- 29:42for. I got the poster of the artwork
- 29:44that was good. I really only bought one thing,
- 29:47I bought the poster and then because we're Couldn't get close
- 29:51to the booth, I bought the Vader.
- 29:54Comic online later, write the little QR code that I could scan
- 29:59from their Booth, but that was all I got for myself.
- 30:02Yeah, I would have liked to have had that comic, but I didn't
- 30:05want to pay the exorbitant shipping fee, but they didn't
- 30:07have enough to bring. They didn't print in time or
- 30:09something. So it's like it was kind of
- 30:10constant disorganization the entire weekend.
- 30:13Oh my gosh. And the wife, I remember the
- 30:15wife wasn't working. What is what is it that that was
- 30:19frustrating for us? But as the vendors, they
- 30:22couldn't get their credit card machines to work, because the
- 30:25Wi-Fi was terrible, it was just like it was chaotic.
- 30:30It was very frustrating in that sense.
- 30:32So, I mean, it has my experience that I will say at Anaheim in
- 30:38Chicago, were much better than what I had in London because of
- 30:43the flow. The panels were still amazing.
- 30:48Yeah, yeah. And by Saturday, we had the
- 30:50Clone Wars 15th anniversary panel, which was like we already
- 30:54said, just an absolute Delight. Yeah, I think I'll add filoni
- 30:58talking right here. Oh, nice, because I got him
- 31:01tearing up. Up and I'll put it in here and I
- 31:06take you with me on every project I've ever on your so
- 31:10meaningful to me. And I'm so grateful for your
- 31:13hard work and what you've given Star Wars and myself.
- 31:16So thank you guys. So you know, anytime we get to
- 31:22hear filoni speak not only is he effortlessly funny.
- 31:28He's as genuine as they come. He's humble and he's just
- 31:31brilliant. He's a smart man who understands
- 31:34Star Wars in our opinion. And he he's I really want
- 31:44success for him on and on and on beyond what success, he's
- 31:49already gathered because I really like him now.
- 31:52I don't know him personally but I like him as a person.
- 31:54From what I see, seems like a cool dude.
- 31:57Seems like a down-to-earth, Just Another Star Wars fan who made
- 32:01it. He just happened to make it.
- 32:02You know, he's got the talent. He was in the right place at the
- 32:04right time and now he's bringing us the stuff.
- 32:08And he's also which we saw at the Ahsoka panel that was also
- 32:11on Saturday, wasn't it? Yeah.
- 32:13That was that was the first thing we went to Saturday.
- 32:15Yeah. Sokka was in the morning Clone
- 32:17Wars was Saturday, was my panel in the afternoon and then Clone
- 32:21Wars was right after that. So Saturday was the busiest day.
- 32:24Yeah, but I love that. He's working in Timothy zahn's
- 32:29heir to the Empire book out of Legends and bringing it into
- 32:32Cannon. Thank you Dave.
- 32:34Yes, if you do it right, which I have faith, you will you Can see
- 32:38it in Mandalorian book. A Boba Fett.
- 32:40You could see little pieces Davis, pulling pieces of
- 32:43Legends. Oh, yeah, in and making it
- 32:45Cannon. So I have a feeling he sets his
- 32:48like long-term goal as a Star Wars fan because everyone was
- 32:52kind of like, oh, it's Legends, like it's not qualified anymore,
- 32:58right? So he is kind of like, doubt it
- 33:00is. Yeah, now it is Canon, you know.
- 33:01So I think it's great and I loved all my God, I love the
- 33:06original. Thrawn Trilogy, I loved those
- 33:09books. And Lars is officially Lars
- 33:12Mikkelsen. We got another Mickelson in the
- 33:14end. The group.
- 33:16Yeah, the other Mickelson I should say.
- 33:19Yeah. There's about 15 scars guards
- 33:21out there. So I get them confused, there's
- 33:23two Mickelson's 15 scars guards and a few other but Lars came
- 33:28out. I think you may have had just a
- 33:30little twinkle of a tear in his eye for the reception.
- 33:33He got as thrawn I'm very excited to see him in live
- 33:36action. Me too.
- 33:37No one else can do that. He's jumping he's got the voice
- 33:43but he's also built for it like he is that live scary kind of
- 33:49yes under estimating him because he's quiet and it's just like oh
- 33:55he's got to be perfect. Yes.
- 33:58And he's got that creep factor of like someone who was playing
- 34:01chess with you while you are playing checkers.
- 34:04Yes, like that's thrawn and he's got it.
- 34:07So Yeah, but you and I both said, if we're going to, if
- 34:10they're going to do this, heir to the Empire and they literally
- 34:12set it in the Ahsoka trailer, heir to the Empire.
- 34:15Yeah. Luke has to show up at some
- 34:17point. You can't have heir to the
- 34:18Empire without Luke Skywalker. I know they've turned it into
- 34:22like a Rebels thing. But heir to the Empire is about
- 34:26Luke Skywalker. This is a loop.
- 34:27Yeah. Okay, don't fuck this up.
- 34:30We need to say it. Like you want us so far with
- 34:34Luke and his few appearances if you're going to do it, do it
- 34:39right? Yeah.
- 34:40Right. I think they will.
- 34:41I think they will. They will it's me channeling
- 34:44into the. Yes, it's true.
- 34:45I mean, what they've done with Luke so far has been very
- 34:48respectful of Luke and actually redeeming of the character that
- 34:53we wanted to see and actually Mark Hamill has even said, you
- 34:58know how? Yeah.
- 34:59Meaningful. That was for him as well.
- 35:01Yes, yes. And I think they're it's clear
- 35:05that this creative That's in charge of Star Wars right now is
- 35:10working very hard to make amends so to speak for Lusher, better
- 35:15term. I mean like with Ahmed best is
- 35:17another great example. Yes.
- 35:19You know and of course even even Hayden Hayden who did tear up
- 35:26and choked up and had a hard time speaking when he was on the
- 35:29live stage. Yeah.
- 35:30At his he continues to be shown a whole new realm of act and
- 35:38that people really do want him in this fandom and appreciate
- 35:41him for what he brings to the very important character in this
- 35:45in this whole storyline. You know, there would be none of
- 35:48this without the Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan and Anakin and the fact
- 35:51that Ewan and Hayden are reprising their roles.
- 35:54And we'll talk about that when we get to that panel when we
- 35:56recount that because that was just emotional as fuck, of
- 36:01course it was but Hayden is getting what he deserves.
- 36:07Nerves and its really nice to see.
- 36:09It's just been incredible. You know, the reception that you
- 36:14guys have given the show. I've just had a blast and you
- 36:23get to be here and see all of you guys and see all the
- 36:27costumes and all the sort of the love that you guys have have the
- 36:31franchise. It really means a lot to me.
- 36:34So thank, I think you can see on his face that like, he looks to
- 36:40me like a person who has lived his whole life feeling like that
- 36:43was a moment of embarrassment and realizes Has all of a sudden
- 36:48that he's like the last one to the party to realize that it's
- 36:52actually really, really loved you.
- 36:55And you and his even said as much in interviews that like at
- 36:58the time there wasn't internet like there is now.
- 37:02And so the the voices they were hearing were critics mostly hmm.
- 37:08And they weren't hearing and especially because he was saying
- 37:12it's made for the kids and so the kids don't have a voice.
- 37:16Now those kids are grown up. And those kids have a very loud
- 37:19voice. And yes so they're finally which
- 37:22is weird like what 20 years later.
- 37:24They're finally getting the love that they they had all along but
- 37:28didn't know because those people didn't have a platform to speak
- 37:32on, you know, so it's pretty cool to be in the room with
- 37:36these people and see the realization, you know, like I'm
- 37:39Haynes face where he's like, suddenly super emotional because
- 37:42it's like, it's, I don't know, it's an experience.
- 37:46You can't put into words. We appreciate just all these
- 37:49people and I'm really happy to have been a part of showing them
- 37:53the love that, I think they deserve and we don't know
- 37:56anything about Lars Mikkelsen yet in his role.
- 37:58But we do from Rebels because he was the voice of throwing.
- 38:01So I have no doubt that he will be well received.
- 38:04Yeah. I mean, it was already brought
- 38:06to tears and we haven't even seen his performance yet.
- 38:10Yeah. So I can't wait.
- 38:14And then that leads to the panel that I sat in on and oh my God,
- 38:19I lived. It was so fun.
- 38:25It was actually extremely interesting.
- 38:28I don't really know if I should talk during that's because I was
- 38:32up there. No, you can't.
- 38:33You could say what it was. Like, I mean as an observer it
- 38:36was really fascinating because I was all about the science of
- 38:39Return of the Jedi. So they had like a person who is
- 38:42specializes in laser Reserves. And what was that other guy?
- 38:46The German guy worked on particle accelerators.
- 38:49So that's right. It was all about energy.
- 38:52Yeah. And essentially, they had people
- 38:54there that scientists that worked with particle
- 38:57accelerators, lasers paleontology, and like
- 39:03biological evolution and social sciences the social science.
- 39:07I thought was a really cool addition honestly to the pan
- 39:10because people forget about that side of science.
- 39:13Yeah, and it's and it's an important part.
- 39:16It is, it's a human behavior and that's a huge part of Science in
- 39:22general. You can't with some science you
- 39:25can't have one without the other when it comes to like progress
- 39:28and invention and things like that.
- 39:30So but he was talking even about like the external gays and how
- 39:36we have our own biases that we use to observe and judge other.
- 39:43Deities that we have know nothing about.
- 39:45And so, to talk about like, the, he walks as primitive he was
- 39:49saying is actually showing your bias because yeah, you're not an
- 39:53Ewok for all, you know, they're very Advanced and their own
- 39:56Society. So I thought that was a really
- 39:58fascinating point of view that I had never ever thought about
- 40:02before. Right?
- 40:04Well, that was the fun part about being on a panel like
- 40:06this, to hear it from a scientific standpoint.
- 40:11You know is a lightsaber Possible, how much energy does
- 40:16it take in one lightsaber? What about the death stars that?
- 40:21You know and then of course, the question of what happens to the
- 40:25Ewoks, which I commented this not great news.
- 40:29Yeah. All that radiated Fallout
- 40:33hanging in the atmosphere of end or is it going to isn't going to
- 40:35go well for the Ewoks? But you know, it was fun to
- 40:39contribute and Atmospheric science point of view.
- 40:43You to places like Tatooine and and or and just talked about is,
- 40:49they're actually water on Tatooine, there has to be right
- 40:52and single World by single biome World such as tattooing.
- 40:56Exactly. I my answer is there is no
- 40:59really single world. There's always I mean, there's
- 41:02dominant biome but not single biome, right?
- 41:06I mean look at the macro scale and then dig down into the sand
- 41:09and see what you've got going on under there.
- 41:11I mean you were guys were even About you made the great point
- 41:15of all of the huge predators that live on TV screen are under
- 41:20the sand. There's sub.
- 41:21Yes, soil. And so I made the point like
- 41:25where are they getting their water to live underground?
- 41:27All the time got to be aquifers right?
- 41:29Right. They're not eating enough people
- 41:31to sustain their eyes. Yes.
- 41:35And they're not they're not above ground to produce more of
- 41:39the molecules necessary to put more you know, respiration and
- 41:43In and evaporation into the atmosphere.
- 41:45So it's fun to look at things from.
- 41:47A scientific point of view that are completely fake.
- 41:51Yeah. But it's fun because that's what
- 41:53it's not the same time, it's real.
- 41:56Tatooine is real. Okay?
- 41:58Well that's the thing. I think that most people with
- 42:00Star Wars kind of want that answer of like, yes, it is
- 42:02possible. And everyone's like whoa, yeah,
- 42:06I hope everybody bought my answer.
- 42:07When I said that there is what there's always moisture.
- 42:11There's always a bit of humidity in even Most arid parts of our
- 42:15planet, for instance. So I went I went to an
- 42:19astrobiology conference which was so fascinating and there
- 42:24they were talking about how life lives under extreme
- 42:26circumstances. So you could go to the depth of
- 42:29the ocean where there's no light at all, their animals that are
- 42:33evolving and thriving. And then you can go to the top
- 42:36of the tallest mountain where there's like, no oxygen for
- 42:39survival. And there's nothing, but arid
- 42:41dirt and you can find bacteria Area in the soil.
- 42:44Yeah, you know, so yeah, it's really fascinating to apply that
- 42:49then to science fiction because, as much as I love science and
- 42:56find astrobiology is especially like very fascinating.
- 43:00They're wrong a lot. Oh yeah.
- 43:03Yep. Yes.
- 43:06So it's cool that you there's like these different definite,
- 43:10things about science. And then there's a lot of, like
- 43:12Theory You apply to things that you can't ever actually,
- 43:15physically study. So there is no certainty.
- 43:19Like sure that could exist who's to say not, you know, it's
- 43:23really cool. Well, the greatest thing about
- 43:26science is that there will always be theories and as long
- 43:29as there are always theories, there's always a mind looking
- 43:31for an answer to prove, you know, to find the fact or to
- 43:36prove the theory or to, you know, bring some substance to
- 43:40it. Which if you're not constantly
- 43:42thinking for Word, you're not a very good scientist, so that
- 43:47applies even to the fake, so-called fake worlds of our
- 43:51Star Wars Galaxy. And it was really, I want to say
- 43:55this. It was really humbling to be
- 43:59asked to be on the panel and it was an incredible experience to
- 44:02be on the panel. And I want to thank James Floyd
- 44:05from Star Wars ologies and starwars.com for inviting me to
- 44:08be up there with a panel of amazing scientists who are
- 44:11absolute Geniuses. And for him to count me one
- 44:15among that, that was extremely flattering and only, not only
- 44:18that, but what was a packed house?
- 44:20And my friends were there, my new friends, and my old, thank
- 44:23you for coming to support me and if anyone wants to Actually
- 44:27listen to the panel Star Wars ology podcast, run by James.
- 44:32Floyd and I believe perhaps maybe he has a team of people.
- 44:35They will have the entire thing recorded so you can listen to it
- 44:38there. So yes.
- 44:40Head on over to Star Wars ologies, they will have it but I
- 44:43will also add a clip here from the panel itself where I'm
- 44:47speaking. The fourth lightning if we're
- 44:49actually talking lightning lightning itself when it comes
- 44:53from a cloud. You know, thunder?
- 44:55Right. You can do the 1.
- 44:57And two 1000 three, see how far away the lightning actually
- 45:00struck. If palps is doing the Force
- 45:03lightning, there would be a barrage of sound because what
- 45:08lightning does is split the air mass in half and when it comes
- 45:10back together it's the sound wave that sound that emits from
- 45:13that. So that's what Thunder actually
- 45:15is. So he's doing all this.
- 45:17They're getting all of the sound on that small room, which I
- 45:20guarantee has an echo. And I don't know what Vader's
- 45:23helmet, how that's going to send him to the ground and woman.
- 45:27A disaster. Not just because of the lighting
- 45:29but the sound itself would rock everybody in the room.
- 45:31So maybe that's what really causing them so much
- 45:35disturbance. Just remember kids, science is
- 45:55cool. Follow your heart.
- 45:59Be a nerd. Be a geek.
- 46:00Do not be afraid to be any of those things.
- 46:02Do not be afraid to love Star Wars.
- 46:05Do not be afraid to love science and now I'll get off my soapbox.
- 46:09Just remember science is cool. Don't let anyone tell you.
- 46:11Otherwise, the end. They're done.
- 46:14PSA done. So on our last day because that
- 46:20we left on Sunday was our last day.
- 46:23Even though the pecan goes through Monday, we saw the
- 46:27Recapping of remaking, whatever of the Obi-Wan Kenobi panel.
- 46:31And that was, I mean, that was the only one that we got into
- 46:36the main stage and that would be the only one eye.
- 46:39Well, not the other one. I wouldn't mind being in the
- 46:41room with Diego Luna ever, but well, we were in the main stage
- 46:45for the Clone Wars panel. But it wasn't the celebration
- 46:48stage that was how that a slightly smaller stage.
- 46:50But this was this Obi-Wan Kenobi.
- 46:54Look, back was held at the celebration stage.
- 46:56The Stage. They're the nicest one.
- 46:59Yeah. And we had amazing seats.
- 47:01We did the Clips they showed and talked about, all my God.
- 47:06They each went through and showed each one of the axle who
- 47:10was up there was UN, Deborah, the director Hayden little
- 47:14Vivian. God love her and Indira who
- 47:18plays tala and couldn't have had a better group of people up
- 47:22there. Basically, I mean other than
- 47:26Moses, Mmm, who they gave major shoutouts to, and by all means,
- 47:30should should have been shouted out more.
- 47:34But, yeah, it was great to see who we got to see and hear them
- 47:38speak. Especially Vivian.
- 47:40Hey, no. She is the most eloquent
- 47:45well-spoken, child actor, ever, ever seen.
- 47:50She's she gets it. She's really smart.
- 47:53She speaks with respect, and she hasn't been around long enough
- 47:56to know. The respect that's necessary in
- 47:58the Star Wars world. She hasn't it somehow she gets
- 48:04it. She gets it.
- 48:06It's nice to see. Well, if I loved that, they
- 48:11showed each of their favorite scenes and honestly, each scene
- 48:16that they showed was one of my favorite scenes, it sure was.
- 48:19Yeah, I could there wasn't one. I would have argued with of
- 48:22they're not a single one. They were all fantastic.
- 48:24Yeah, Deborah's was the the time that Obi-Wan first sees Vader in
- 48:29the Mayan town. That was a scene that had me
- 48:32shaking when I first thought and when Vader's helmet turns really
- 48:38fast and look where Obi-Wan is oh good it's so great.
- 48:43God made me relive when we were talking about it on the show for
- 48:47the first time about how it's like a predator and after its
- 48:50grey and it's talking and and he's going down the line just
- 48:54cracking next and choking people and dragging people and I got
- 48:57Frisky all over again. And it was a great straight up
- 49:03horror film. Honestly, the way it was filmed
- 49:05and what's great with the sound it on the big screen like that.
- 49:09That was a cool. I'm getting Goose Bumps thinking
- 49:11about it right now. Yeah.
- 49:13And I mean they showed Hayden scene was my favorite and God it
- 49:20was the fight and when his helmet gets cracked that was
- 49:23Hayden's favorite. Favorite scene.
- 49:24And bye-bye. No surprise because Was that
- 49:27performance? I stood up for it.
- 49:29I when it was over, I gave them a standing ovation because those
- 49:33two actors, Hewitt Ewan, and Hayden, nailed it, and made us
- 49:38cry all over again in the crowd seeing it.
- 49:41I mean, they brought it the new they brought it and I was
- 49:45really, really, really happy to see it on a massive screen like
- 49:49that with everyone in the crowd, totally silent.
- 49:53I know we've all seen it and probably multiple times.
- 49:57It, I always kind of thought it was like the build-up, you know,
- 50:01in that scene and like the emotion just builds and builds.
- 50:04But no, it's like even in that moment, they just showed the
- 50:07little snippet of them there. And that alone gets me emotional
- 50:12because we've seen Anakin all through the Clone Wars and Matt
- 50:16Lanter even said that. And yes, one words panel that he
- 50:20got to grow that character a lot, and it makes his fall even
- 50:25more tragic and heartbreaking. Aching.
- 50:27And I think that's really true. So painful.
- 50:32And if that wasn't painful enough, it was followed up,
- 50:35lastly, by you and favorite clip, which was him and Leia
- 50:39saying goodbye at the end of the show where he hugs her and she
- 50:43tells him, he needs a nap which is what we've all been telling
- 50:46him and he explains to her in so many words who her parents
- 50:52really were, and it had everyone sobbing in the crowd.
- 50:55And it was really, really Nice to see you.
- 51:00I loved the story. He told to because he was saying
- 51:03that he's an executive producer on it.
- 51:05So yeah, they had them, watch the first three episodes in a
- 51:08private viewing and then he went away when they finished the last
- 51:12of the show, he came back and re-watch the whole show and he
- 51:15said that they set up the movie and they'll come in for each
- 51:19episode, hit play, and then leave, and he's there by himself
- 51:22and he said by the end of the last episode, when he does that
- 51:25scene with Vivian, Leia's theme starts to play city was just
- 51:29sitting there by himself, just sobbing.
- 51:32That's when you know you've made you've made something good,
- 51:36right? Like that's what I like when I
- 51:38first saw that episode The Vader scene made me cry and then as
- 51:42soon as Leia's theme started to play, I just lost my fucking
- 51:48shit. I have Goosebumps now too
- 51:51because Leia's theme gets me every time.
- 51:54But to as a little girl with Obi-Wan who she calls upon for
- 51:58help if you should ever need help from an old man, you know,
- 52:02like he says there and we know how much that means to everyone
- 52:06in Star Wars. It's just I don't know.
- 52:09It was really cool to end. A really incredible weekend on
- 52:13that high of a note. Yeah, with that panel.
- 52:15So yeah that was that was the highlight that was really
- 52:20classed. I am and you and said, maybe
- 52:24some more. Would you like Sabor they didn't
- 52:26announce It's they're going to do more but he made it clear
- 52:29that he's interested in doing more.
- 52:31Whether yes, maybe he even means just like, directing something
- 52:34like not necessarily being Obi-Wan again but if he I mean I
- 52:38know a lot of people have mixed feelings on that and I
- 52:42understand it but honestly anything they do to be is a
- 52:48risk. Yes, it's true.
- 52:52Like I love the original trilogy and the prequels made me
- 52:56terrified If I'd the sequel's made me terrified, all the shows
- 53:00have made me terrified. So I've learned, I just have to
- 53:04like piecemeal, like take what I like and leave.
- 53:06What? I don't be so like, I'm willing
- 53:08to see more if they want to give me more.
- 53:12But only if Quinlan Vos is in it.
- 53:15Yeah, what the fuck? Come on, Quinlan.
- 53:18We need you. We saw one or two quinlan's.
- 53:22We saw one of two or two of everything literally?
- 53:25Yeah. Pretty much.
- 53:27I think my favorite of the entire my favorite cosplay of
- 53:30the entire weekend was the person dressed up as the fucking
- 53:35death star with a. If found please return to Tarkin
- 53:40a sign on it. I-i'm sorry.
- 53:43But that was the tops for me. It was snarky enough and funny
- 53:47enough. That I said that that one right
- 53:48there. That's my favorite of the
- 53:49weekend. There was some brilliant
- 53:51costumes. I saw Dooku that could have been
- 53:54Dooku. Yeah, remember him.
- 53:57My favorite is the Qui-Gon Jinn behind the scenes.
- 54:03Liam Neeson with a colorful umbrella and sunglasses.
- 54:08That that was yes, we saw at least two of those.
- 54:11Maybe three love them. All, they tagged themselves to
- 54:15on my Instagram on our other Grandma, it's so good.
- 54:19I love it. And don't don't forget, lest we
- 54:23forget before the Obi-Wan Kenobi panel started.
- 54:27Had everyone dresses, Obi-Wan Kenobi, come up on stage.
- 54:30Yeah, and do their best Obi-Wan Kenobi pose.
- 54:34And as they're doing it, you and walks out, goes down the line
- 54:39turns around. Walks back waves, everybody
- 54:41leaves, and everyone was in shock, including the MC who is
- 54:44doing the pre panel stuff. He's like I had no idea that was
- 54:47gonna happen but he said he did. Call everyone as Obi-Wan Kenobi
- 54:52to come on stage. Yes and he is OB want something.
- 54:57It's received time just like I thought they did it on purpose
- 55:00because they had everyone. Come on stage, they tolling the
- 55:02strike the pose and then they started playing the Obi, One
- 55:05theme. Yeah.
- 55:06And then you would walked out and I was like, oh, it's like,
- 55:09oh my god, I've been there. It just happened to be perfect
- 55:12like that. So that was a great debt.
- 55:15That shit is why celebration is fun?
- 55:18Yes, 100% you never know. You could be walking through
- 55:23some we're minding your own goddamn business and all of a
- 55:25sudden you're standing next to Sam Witwer or your Ewan McGregor
- 55:29pops out or, you know, you just and Vivian walked by us in the
- 55:33hall. Yes, she was just walking down
- 55:35the hall with her people and like nobody noticed her it, huh?
- 55:39Except me. I was like South Pacific.
- 55:41Hey, There She Goes, My Little leg.
- 55:45Oh my God is great. I don't know.
- 55:49It was super, super cool. I had fun.
- 55:53I had a lot of fun. It was beautiful weather.
- 55:57Great time. Spent with friends.
- 56:00The toilets, I don't know about the toilets, but, well, I do
- 56:06want to shout out James Arnold Taylor also, because on 100%,
- 56:12what was it? The Sunday, I think it was on
- 56:14Sunday, very last day. Yep.
- 56:17I woke up and we were getting ready to go and I checked my
- 56:20messages and I had a DM from him on Instagram and he was saying,
- 56:24come and find me, you know, I'll be at my booth or whatever and I
- 56:29was just so shy. That he was kind enough to
- 56:32first, of all, think of us. And yes, and he initiated the
- 56:37message. Yeah, he reached out to us.
- 56:39Yeah, it didn't work out. We tried to connect and it just
- 56:43didn't work out. And actually it turned out to be
- 56:44a good thing because he was sick.
- 56:47He ended up getting sober we so yeah.
- 56:49We all caught the same thing exactly where all catching the
- 56:52same bug, but he's just been really nice and he's been dming
- 56:56with me since then and he I just you know, send him some Love and
- 57:01follow him on social media because he is our intro, and he
- 57:05is always been so kind to us and he really has been.
- 57:09He's a friend of the shows. I've since day one.
- 57:12Honest yes, he's been nothing but kind to us for no reason.
- 57:16He's just a kind awesome guy. Yeah, exactly.
- 57:21So thank you. Thanks Obi-Wan so our question
- 57:30this week, It doesn't have to be a just for people who attended

- 59:21They said I have watched Return of the Jedi over four times and
- 59:25I always enjoyed the scene where they chaotically rescue Han,
- 59:29because Luke and Leia are equally, bad ass plus Luke's
- 59:32outfit and all caps. Yes!
- 59:36Who can argue with that? That's so true.
- 59:39Honestly, Luke's outfit its clutch in that episode.
- 59:43Yeah, it really is good. Shit.
- 59:46Z said seeing Luke at his peak in the OT in this as well as the
- 59:50cuteness of the Ewoks space. Teddy bears but he's teddy
- 59:55bears, Peak, Luke and space. Teddy bears.
- 59:59I'm here for it. Love it.
- 1:00:00It would agree more. And then km Osborne 77 said,
- 1:00:06there's so much great Star Wars at this movie.
- 1:00:09Dark Side versus light site creatures romance.
- 1:00:12It's the epitome of Star Wars in my opinion.
- 1:00:15All right, that is spot on. Yep, we were here for the 40th
- 1:00:22anniversary, we love it. Yeah.
- 1:00:23Return of the Jedis that you can't be added.
