- 0:01Romans chapter one. Let us pray.
- 0:07Lord our God who reigns on high. You are El Elyon, the most high
- 0:12God. I don't I You are the Lord, you
- 0:15are the master, you are the teacher.
- 0:17Yes, you are our provider. You're the banner over our lives
- 0:23that we wave over every circumstance.
- 0:27God, we wave the banner of Jesus Christ over our house.
- 0:31We wave the banner of Jesus Christ over our workplace.
- 0:35We wave the banner of Jesus Christ over our health and over
- 0:40our wealth. We wave the banner of Jesus
- 0:44Christ over all circumstances and emotions, all of our
- 0:49feelings. God, let us have an unoffendable
- 0:52spirit today. Lord, I pray in the name of
- 0:56Jesus that you will supernaturally embolden us for
- 1:00the fight today. God, we war on our knees.
- 1:03We war against principalities. We war against the darkness of
- 1:07the demonic. God, we war and press against
- 1:11all of the accusations of the enemy, the lies of the enemy.
- 1:15God, we silence those by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of
- 1:19Nazareth, the long-awaited Messiah.
- 1:22We love you, King Jesus, we thank you for being seated at
- 1:26the right hand of God and going to prepare a place for us.
- 1:30We thank you that we can be seated there with you in
- 1:32heavenly places. We thank you, Lord Jesus, that
- 1:35where you are, we will be. We thank you, Lord Jesus, that
- 1:39you're coming back. And Lord, we thank you that we
- 1:42can wait well in between time. And in the meantime, God help us
- 1:47to finish this race well. Help us to run this race with
- 1:51all perseverance. God help us to extend grace to
- 1:57all those all around us, no matter the class, no matter
- 2:01their skin type, no matter their language, no matter their
- 2:05stature, no matter their status, no matter God, We extend grace
- 2:11out to all mankind, every woman and every child.
- 2:15God, we, Lord, are your ambassadors.
- 2:19And God, we are the ministers of reconciliation for this twisted
- 2:24and dark and perverse world. God, we press against all of the
- 2:32greed and all of the lies and all of the violence.
- 2:38God, and we press against all of the evil.
- 2:42Father and Lord, I pray that you'll form a hedge of
- 2:45protection around us. God protect our families,
- 2:49protect our ministries. God, protect our very minds and
- 2:54our hearts. Lord, I pray that we will be
- 2:59hardened for this fight. Lord as we get into the fight.
- 3:04Father, I pray that you will be the one with the two edged sword
- 3:08that annihilates all of the opposition in the name of Jesus
- 3:12Christ. That is the only power that we
- 3:14possess. God, there is nothing good in
- 3:17US. No.
- 3:18And Lord, we only are resting on the finished work of the cross
- 3:22of what Christ wrought for us at Calvary.
- 3:24So God, that is the only power that we have.
- 3:28And so, Lord, we rest in that, and we know that your yoke is
- 3:31easy and that your burden is light.
- 3:33And so, God, I just pray that by faith we can put our hand to the
- 3:38plow and that we cannot live distracted.
- 3:41Lord, open up our hearts and our minds as we open up your word.
- 3:44Hide your word in our hearts so that we might not sin against
- 3:47you. Holy Spirit, you come and teach
- 3:50us and give us discernment. I decrease as you increase.
- 3:54And it's all about King Jesus. We love you, King Jesus, and
- 3:57it's in your holy and precious and awesome powerful name that I
- 4:01pray. Amen.
- 4:04Let's start in verse one. Paul, servant of Jesus Christ,
- 4:14called to be an apostle, separated unto the Gospel of
- 4:21God. Here we are the book of Romans.
- 4:28This is an entire book about God.
- 4:32God is the number one word that is used repetitively throughout
- 4:38this entire book and this is the gospel of God.
- 4:42And you can see how Paul was a bond servant to the Lord Jesus
- 4:46Christ. And we can see that he had a
- 4:48peculiar apostleship as he was called on the road to Damascus.
- 4:54And he received his apostleship and he received his doctrine
- 4:58from Jesus Christ himself. For three days Paul took no
- 5:02water and no food, as the Lord Jesus Christ himself took him to
- 5:06task and showed him all the things that he must suffer for
- 5:11his namesake. We can see here that this is the
- 5:16good news of God, friends, the God from the foundations of the
- 5:23earth. Before he formed man in his own
- 5:26image and breathed his breath into him, God had a plan and God
- 5:32knew all the things that would happen.
- 5:35He gives us free will, but He already knows what we're going
- 5:38to do. He's the Alpha and the Omega,
- 5:41friends. There is nothing that is hidden
- 5:43from him. He can see it all played out
- 5:46before He even creates it. And it well pleased God to put
- 5:51the Tree of the Knowledge of good and Evil in the garden.
- 5:54And it well pleased God to put the serpents in the garden,
- 5:59because he knew that through all of the trials and tribulations
- 6:04and all of the things that come against us, we would give him
- 6:09all due honor and glory, and it would be from our free will, and
- 6:13it would bring Him the most amount of glory, Friends.
- 6:17And that is a divine mystery, and it calls for wisdom.
- 6:21But this is the Gospel of God 2 which He had promised before by
- 6:28his prophets in the Holy Scriptures.
- 6:30If all the Jews of old would have just paid attention to what
- 6:36God had said throughout the entire Old Testament, they
- 6:41wouldn't have missed Jesus as the Messiah.
- 6:46But thank God for their disobedience so that us wild
- 6:50branches can get grafted in to the natural.
- 6:54But we can see that there is this natural tree that those
- 6:57natural branches will be grafted back into.
- 7:02And you being the unnatural, how much easier would it be for you
- 7:06to be cut off? Don't forget it.
- 7:09We need to bow and reverence and bow and holy fear unto God.
- 7:13Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, friends. 3
- 7:21Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the
- 7:26seed of David according to the flesh.
- 7:29So we know he came from the stump of Jesse.
- 7:34We know that he was from the line of Judah.
- 7:37We know that the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ can be traced
- 7:42back all the way to David. And God told David that they
- 7:46would never fail for one of his descendants to sit on the
- 7:50throne. And he was talking about Jesus
- 7:53Christ who sits at the throne right now, friends.
- 7:57And he will be seated in Jerusalem, literal geographical
- 8:02Jerusalem, for 1000 years in the Ezekiel temple.
- 8:06And we look forward to that, friends, for and declared to be
- 8:12the Son of God with power according to the spirit of
- 8:17holiness by the resurrection from the dead.
- 8:21So here we can see that Jesus Christ is God because He is the
- 8:25Son of God, which he makes himself equal with God.
- 8:29And you can see that He has all power and that He has the spirit
- 8:33of holiness. There is no holiness apart from
- 8:38Jesus Christ. He is holy, holy, holy friends,
- 8:43and we cover our eyes because of how holy He is.
- 8:48He He was was the the first first born born, the the
- 8:50resurrection resurrection of of the the dead dead, and and the
- 8:52the same same spirit spirit that that raised raised Jesus Jesus
- 8:54Christ Christ from from the the dead dead lives lives in in you
- 8:56you and and lives lives in in me me. and we will rise friends
- 9:00when we're pushed down into the earth 5 by whom we have received
- 9:06grace and apostleship 5 By whom we have received grace and
- 9:07apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations.
- 9:14For His name there is no name that is higher than the name of
- 9:17the Lord Jesus Christ. And we can see that we are His
- 9:21messengers, and we have received grace.
- 9:24And that is the period that we are in right now, this period of
- 9:28grace, where He's calling many unto repentance, and many unto
- 9:32salvation, and many unto the remission of sins.
- 9:35And blessed is the man whose sins will never be counted
- 9:38against him because of the work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the
- 9:42cross, friends, and that is for all nations.
- 9:47And it is all for His name's sake.
- 9:49Everything is for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 9:52And we lift that name up higher than any other name on planet
- 9:56earth, friends. And it is the name of Jesus that
- 9:59should be propagated to all nations throughout all times.
- 10:02Sake forever and ever to be blessed.
- 10:05Amen and Amen. 6 and among whom you are also the called of Jesus
- 10:14Christ. We are the called out ones, we
- 10:17are the ecclesia, and the gates of hell will not prevail against
- 10:21the Church. Friend 7 To all that be in Rome,
- 10:26beloved of God, called to be Saints, grace to you, and peace
- 10:32from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 10:36So he's writing this letter from Corinth, which was a very
- 10:40debaucherous, idolatrous place where lots and lots of
- 10:45disgusting things were happening.
- 10:48And he was thinking about the believers there in Rome who were
- 10:52present on the day of Pentecost, and Paul was eager to go and
- 10:57visit them. And he was withheld because of
- 11:01all of the constraints of travel and because of his missionary
- 11:05efforts. When he's writing this to Rome,
- 11:07he was not there in Rome yet. And so here we can see that Paul
- 11:12is writing to them, and he wants to impart something to them.
- 11:16And he wants to come to them to be blessed as well.
- 11:19And he's calling us Saints, friends.
- 11:22And you might think that you have to become Saints, but it is
- 11:27not the case. When you are identified by the
- 11:31blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, when He has marked you with
- 11:35that, you are automatically, immediately a St.
- 11:40Friends, because you are holy, because He is holy and you are
- 11:44without sin in His sight on the day of judgment, because of the
- 11:49work that He did on the cross. Praise God, Hallelujah that we
- 11:53can be Saints even though we have done things that were
- 11:57counterproductive to the good news and the gospel of the Lord
- 12:01Jesus Christ and the Law. Jesus came and fulfilled the
- 12:05law, friends, and when we come to Him and we receive Him as our
- 12:10Lord and our Savior, we can have the righteousness of Christ and
- 12:14we can be confident that none of the sins that we've ever
- 12:18committed will ever be counted against us on that day.
- 12:22Friends, we are Saints and we have grace, grace abounding, and
- 12:29it is nothing that we have done. It is unmerited.
- 12:33It is not by works, friends. It is not that we have done
- 12:37anything. All of our righteousness is
- 12:41filthy rags in the sight of Jesus Christ, friends.
- 12:45It is only by what He did. It is not by what we do,
- 12:49friends, and we have peace. We have peace and we can only
- 12:56have peace with God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- 13:04That is the only peace that you will ever experience on this
- 13:07side of heaven. There is no peace outside of a
- 13:12relationship with God Almighty through his Son Jesus Christ.
- 13:16A first. I thank my God through Jesus
- 13:22Christ for you all that your faith is spoken of throughout
- 13:27the whole world. So you can see here that these
- 13:30Romans, this Roman church was known for their faith.
- 13:38They were known for the devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and it
- 13:41was spoken of and that is what Paul was eager to partake in.
- 13:48He wanted to go into iron, sharpen iron, and to to be
- 13:53refueled and refilled and encouraged by this early church
- 13:58in Rome. And you can see here that Peter
- 14:03did not establish this church. Paul did not establish this
- 14:08church. We can see here that the fame of
- 14:11the Lord Jesus Christ has been spread abroad, and that people
- 14:16were naturally speaking that name, and naturally they were
- 14:20coming in and forming these congregations. 94 God is my
- 14:27witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son,
- 14:32that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my
- 14:36prayers. So he is saying that God knows
- 14:39my heart. God knows that I am forever in
- 14:44prayer, and I mention you in those prayers often.
- 14:51And that should be our call. Friends, Pray without ceasing.
- 14:56Rejoice always. Don't worry about anything, but
- 15:00pray about everything. Take every thought captive and
- 15:03turn it into a prayer. Friends, 10 Making requests.
- 15:08If by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey
- 15:13by the will of God to come unto you.
- 15:15And we know from the last chapter of the book of Acts, we
- 15:22know that Paul had a first class ticket to Rome on Rome's dime.
- 15:3111 For I long to see that I may impart unto you some spiritual
- 15:36gift to the end you may be established.
- 15:39So this is that impartation, friends, this divine exchange as
- 15:47we go in and share the facets of God that He has been well
- 15:53pleased to reveal to us and others who have seen other
- 15:57facets of God because he is so multifaceted that we could live
- 16:0110 lifetimes and not know everything about God.
- 16:05God is in heaven and does whatever He pleases, friends,
- 16:08and God is a spirit and dwells in unapproachable light.
- 16:14And friends, we can only know the things that He chooses to
- 16:19reveal to us about Himself. And He is so well pleased to
- 16:23give us the complete authority from Genesis to Revelation.
- 16:28And that is all we need to know, friends.
- 16:32And it is complete and it is infallible and inerrant, and
- 16:36there is no special teachings out there that we need to try to
- 16:39come into. The knowledge of.
- 16:41God gave us all that we need to know in the complete authority
- 16:46of His Word. But He is unlimited, and God
- 16:52only tells us what we need to know to be saved and to make it
- 16:57into heaven and to be there in His presence.
- 17:00Friends, 12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you
- 17:10by the mutual faith, both of you and me.
- 17:14This Koinonia, this one another ring, one another, is what
- 17:19pleases God. And we should love on our
- 17:23brothers and sisters, and be loved.
- 17:25On 13 Now I would not have you ignorant brothers, that
- 17:31oftentimes I purpose to come to you, but was let hitherto, that
- 17:37I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other
- 17:42Gentiles. So Paul's saying that I am
- 17:46zealous for you and that I desire to come and to share with
- 17:52you what God has revealed to me, and I desire to have the
- 17:59shepherding over you. And that is the heart of God, is
- 18:04that we will feed his lambs and we will feed his sheep.
- 18:08And God, when he gives us divine counsel and when he imparts to
- 18:13his spiritual truths, we should be feeding those and teaching
- 18:19those, and not stay babes in Christ. 14 For I am a debtor
- 18:25both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians, both to the wise and
- 18:30to the unwise. So Paul knew his past, and he
- 18:34knew that the gravity of God revealing his complete authority
- 18:40to him was a responsibility, and he carried that responsibility.
- 18:46And he knew that the gospel were was for all peoples, for the
- 18:51ignorant, and for the learning. 15 So as much as in me is I am
- 19:02ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
- 19:08Paul stayed ready. Paul was always ready and thank
- 19:14God for the man or the woman who keeps themselves ready.
- 19:21And when God says go, they have no hindrance, they can go.
- 19:25There is no, let me go back and bury my family, let me go back
- 19:31and tell them what I'm doing. No, it is immediate obedience
- 19:36unto Christ that pleases the Lord, and we will be blessed by
- 19:41that immediate obedience. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel
- 19:49of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to
- 19:55everyone that believes, to the Jew 1st and also to the Greek.
- 20:04What a famous passage of our Bible.
- 20:08Friends, I pray that you could say that you are unashamed of
- 20:12the gospel. I pray that there is not a work
- 20:14you and a church you. I pray that there's not a
- 20:18Saturday night you and a Sunday morning you.
- 20:22I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you are unashamed.
- 20:25No matter where you go. You preach the name of the Lord
- 20:29Jesus Christ. You remember your testimony.
- 20:32You remember your salvation story.
- 20:34You remember where you were at and how far you have come.
- 20:38And we bring that on our minds, friends, as we go out and as we
- 20:45share the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 20:49We cannot be ashamed of it. We must boldly proclaim that
- 20:53name over all people, no matter how hostile they are towards it.
- 20:59And he's saying that it is the good news of the Lord Jesus
- 21:03Christ that has the power of God to salvation.
- 21:10It saves people. Friends, this power of God has
- 21:15been imparted to Jesus, and all we must do is believe.
- 21:20And we can see here that God's plan is for the Jew first.
- 21:24He always goes to the Jews before he lets the dogs come and
- 21:31eat, which is us. And we are blessed if we have an
- 21:36unoffendable spirit. Friends, we see that God is for
- 21:39the Jews, and we see that God is well pleased to call all unto
- 21:51repentance, regardless of their nationality. 17 For therein is
- 21:59the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith.
- 22:05As it is written, the just shall live by faith.
- 22:09So you can see here that we don't just start off in faith
- 22:12and then move on into works. We cannot just by faith receive
- 22:18the Lord Jesus Christ and then try to earn our salvation
- 22:22through works. It is from faith to faith,
- 22:27friends, and we have to live by this faith, not by works, so
- 22:32that any man should boast. And James reminds us that if we
- 22:37are living by faith, the natural abundance and the natural
- 22:43overflow will be our works. But we cannot gauge our place
- 22:49with the Lord Jesus Christ by works.
- 22:52It is by faith and faith alone that saves us. 18 For the wrath
- 22:58of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
- 23:04unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness.
- 23:12So we can see here this world that is guilty before God
- 23:18without the covering of the blood of Jesus Christ.
- 23:22We can see here that the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ
- 23:26reveals our our sinfulness and the fact that we cannot save
- 23:33ourselves. And that is the purpose of this
- 23:35next section of this first chapter here is that God wants
- 23:41us to see our depravity. And it is not by trying to
- 23:45uphold the law that we're going to get in to heaven.
- 23:49And it is not by good works and good deeds that we are going to
- 23:53get into heaven. It is by Jesus Christ alone the
- 23:58blood of Jesus Christ. It is faith in the Lord Jesus
- 24:01Christ alone, friends, that allows us to be covered in His
- 24:08blood and to be seen as holy in the sight of God. 19 because
- 24:15that which may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has
- 24:21showed it unto them. God has placed eternity into the
- 24:25hearts of man. Even those who have never heard
- 24:32the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ has eternity placed into
- 24:37them. And whenever the gospel of the
- 24:41Lord Jesus Christ is displayed accurately, deep calls to deep.
- 24:49And there is this connection that people understand what it
- 24:54is they have had placed inside of them from birth.
- 25:00That they know that there has to be something more.
- 25:03And whenever Jesus Christ and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is
- 25:08presented, it leaps within them, friends, and they have to make a
- 25:13decision. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation
- 25:20of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things
- 25:24that are made, even his eternal power in Godhead, so that they
- 25:29are without excuse. No one will ever stand before
- 25:33God Almighty and say, I didn't know all of creation proclaims
- 25:42His name. Even the Godhead, God the Father
- 25:46and God the Son and God the Holy Ghost has been placed inside of
- 25:52us. Friends, we can see the triune
- 25:55nature even within the human body as a soul and as a spirit
- 26:00and as a body. We can see that God has
- 26:03displayed it in all of creation all around us, and we can see
- 26:10that there is a Creator, and we would do well to worship Him and
- 26:15not worship the creation, which we're going to see as we
- 26:18progress through this passage here. 21 because that when they
- 26:25knew God, they glorified Him not as God.
- 26:29Neither were thankful, but became vain in their
- 26:33imaginations and their foolish heart was darkened.
- 26:39So you can see this Gentile world apostasy being displayed.
- 26:44You can see how we have been given over to a reprobate mind
- 26:49whenever we turn our backs on God, when we refuse to be
- 26:52thankful for the very breath in our lungs, for the very food and
- 26:57the clean drinking water, the shelter and the love that we
- 27:01have for all of the many provisions that God gives us.
- 27:04And we're not thankful. We become hostile towards God.
- 27:11Our hearts become darkened. We start going off into our own
- 27:16vanity and our own imaginations, and we start making idols with
- 27:21our own hands. 22 professing themselves to be wise.
- 27:26They became fools. There are many people who have
- 27:30very high degrees in education that are foolish because they
- 27:37are teaching this evolution of a single cell amoeba.
- 27:42They are teaching that. The world just keeps going on
- 27:50and on. They're teaching that all of the
- 27:55things that are counter biblical are what is right, and they are
- 28:00trying to bring people down to the depths of depravity and
- 28:05making them twice the children of hell that they are.
- 28:10And they are well pleased to teach all of this heresy and
- 28:14they are well pleased to try to explain God away.
- 28:18And they are well pleased to tell the young people who are
- 28:25very impressionable not to believe in an archaic, barbaric
- 28:29book is the Bible that teaches against women and teaches
- 28:35against the modernism and progression that we are seeing
- 28:41in our culture. And they are fools and their
- 28:46hearts are darkened and do not believe the lies of the
- 28:50propaganda that the devil himself is giving the doctrine
- 28:55of demons out. Friends, we do not need those
- 28:58degrees and those plaques on our walls.
- 29:01We are unlearned men that are being completely undone from
- 29:06this world, being unravelled and untangled from this world.
- 29:10And we have received divine counsel from on high, Friends,
- 29:14praise God. Hallelujah for God's sound
- 29:17doctrine and theology. And we need not try to place our
- 29:22worth upon the systems of this world, because they will lead
- 29:26you off and they will lead you astray, friends.
- 29:30And God confounds the wise, and he uses the foolish things of
- 29:35this world to do so. 23 and change the glory of the
- 29:42uncorruptible God into an image made like the corruptible man
- 29:48and birds and four footed beasts and creeping things.
- 29:52This is idol worship at its core.
- 29:55We will serve self and we will call our self gods, and we will
- 30:02become our own idols when we worship other men and women,
- 30:07when we worship politicians and celebrities, when we worship
- 30:13these false teachers, that is idol worship.
- 30:19And then we'll become so depraved and so debased that we
- 30:23actually start worshipping the creation and it is apostasy at
- 30:30its core. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness
- 30:39through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own
- 30:44bodies between themselves. So here we can see that God
- 30:49gives them over to a powerful delusion so that they will
- 30:56believe the lie, because they refuse to love the truth, and
- 31:02they delighted themselves in evil.
- 31:05You could see this reprobate mind creeping up whenever we
- 31:09turn our backs on God, when we do not care anything for His
- 31:19words, for His teachings, for what does God say about a
- 31:23subject matter? When we try to come into this
- 31:28progressive society that we're trying to create, all you will
- 31:32find is disease and decay and death because the enemies
- 31:37tactics are to steal, kill and destroy.
- 31:41And at the 1st and at the beginning it looks beautiful and
- 31:46it looks like an Angel of light as he masquerades himself
- 31:50around. And then you are going to see
- 31:53that it is nothing but Demise 25 who changed the truth of God
- 32:02into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than
- 32:08the Creator who is blessed forever.
- 32:11Amen. God Almighty deserves all of our
- 32:15praise and all of our honor and all of our worship.
- 32:20And we do not need to worship the things that He created.
- 32:23How incredibly despicable is it when we fix our eyes and our
- 32:35tension and our adoration upon the very things that God has
- 32:39created? Whether it is beauty, whether it
- 32:43is vanity, whether it is money, whether it is greed and power,
- 32:51whether it is our own selfish ambitions, whether it is the
- 32:58things of this world. When we take our eyes off of
- 33:02God, we become debased friends. We must set our eyes upon God
- 33:08Almighty and allow Him to have the last say.
- 33:13Allow Him to be preeminent in our lives.
- 33:16He is the Alpha and the Omega, forever to be blessed. 26 For
- 33:22this, 'cause God gave them up unto vile affections, for even
- 33:31their women did change the natural use into that which is
- 33:38against nature. So here we're going to get into
- 33:41the realm of homosexuality, which is an abomination unto the
- 33:50Lord, and we try to relegate it to the other sins.
- 33:54And we see our sinful nature and we know that God sees sins as
- 34:05the things that keep us from him.
- 34:07But we need to know that homosexuality is in the category
- 34:12of an abomination unto the Lord, because his natural order is for
- 34:18procreation. His natural order is for the
- 34:24human anatomy to fit together in a way where life brings life in.
- 34:30The marriage bed is holy unto God.
- 34:36The marriage bed is acceptable, and God knows that whenever a
- 34:42husband and a wife stay together, they rear up children
- 34:49who are warriors for Christ, and they train them up in the way
- 34:53they should go, and they draw circles around them of
- 34:56protection. And these men and women go off
- 34:59into the world to take the gospel and to take the whole
- 35:03world, the whole Word, to the whole world.
- 35:06And you can see here that God's plan all the way back from the
- 35:10garden is for a monogamous relationship between one man and
- 35:15one woman, and to stay together, and to rear children unto God.
- 35:22And that is why it is an abomination unto Him.
- 35:26And we need to know that God Almighty desires for one man and
- 35:33one woman to come together. 27 And likewise also the men
- 35:43leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust
- 35:47toward one another, men with men working that which is unseemly
- 35:54and receiving in themselves that repayment of their error which
- 36:00was meet. So you can see here that this is
- 36:03where sexually transmitted diseases start coming in.
- 36:07Whenever we have multiple partners, whenever we are
- 36:11engaged in the homosexual lifestyle, whenever we turn our
- 36:15backs on God and we know that God is not in it, it causes us
- 36:20to be hostile towards God. And you see it in our day and it
- 36:25was happening here in Pauls day. During this time in Rome there
- 36:32was a law that actually allowed homosexual marriage and it's no
- 36:37different in our day. And God wasn't in it then and
- 36:40God isn't in it now. And I want you to know, friends,
- 36:44that it is only God that can put people in holy matrimony and it
- 36:49is only God who can separate them.
- 36:52Friends, it is a holy institution.
- 36:55It is not a government institution.
- 36:57It is not a man made institution.
- 37:00It is God ordained. And the reason it is attacked is
- 37:03because Satan knows how important the family unit is.
- 37:07And that is why you see so much hostility towards the family
- 37:12unit. You see so much hostility
- 37:14towards marriage, and you can see it getting muddled and
- 37:18getting tainted. And we call it marriage, but we
- 37:22must just call it something else.
- 37:24It is disgusting and reprobate in the sight of God, and He
- 37:33gives us over to that, and we have the payment of the disease,
- 37:38and have the payment of the hostility towards him, because
- 37:43God's not in it. Friends 28 And even as they did
- 37:51not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to
- 37:56a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient.
- 38:01God's long-suffering with us is His grace.
- 38:05And as you can see from the text, Friends, that eventually
- 38:10God sends that powerful delusion.
- 38:12Eventually God gives them over to the reprobate mind.
- 38:16And you can see it happening all around us, Friends and
- 38:21unreasonable people are unreasonable by definition.
- 38:27You cannot give them reason to try to bring them back over.
- 38:32They are gone over by the wayside and praise God
- 38:36Hallelujah whenever the Spirit of God draws them to himself.
- 38:42And He has many in those homosexual camps that he's
- 38:46calling unto himself. They're there, but their
- 38:49conscience is pricked and they know that it's wrong and God
- 38:53will call them into salvation. Friends, it is not convenient.
- 39:00Whenever we do not retain God in our knowledge, when we turn our
- 39:06backs on Him, it will not be convenient. 29 Being filled with
- 39:11all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness,
- 39:18covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate,
- 39:26deceit, malignity, whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God,
- 39:34despiteful, proud boasters, inventors of evil things,
- 39:41disobedient to parents. 31 without understanding covenant
- 39:48Breakers, without natural affection, implacable,
- 39:53unmerciful so you can see here what is the result of a society
- 40:00that turns their back on God, period.
- 40:03In the story not open for debate, it is exactly what
- 40:10happens whenever we leave the judeo-christian values, when we
- 40:16leave the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, when we leave the
- 40:21natural order of the marriage, when we.
- 40:24Enter into the depravity of humanity when we're only relying
- 40:29upon our own common sense theories.
- 40:32Whenever we try to explain away the God of the Bible.
- 40:37These are the things that happen, friends.
- 40:40And you'll see it as time goes on, friends, you will see
- 40:44unrighteousness, will be filled with unrighteousness.
- 40:48You're already seeing a world filled with fornication.
- 40:53You're already seeing a world filled with wickedness.
- 40:56You're already seeing a world filled with covetousness, which
- 41:01is lusting after what is not yours.
- 41:05You already see a world that is filled with maliciousness.
- 41:09This malice, friends, this is the evil intentions against your
- 41:15fellow man. You can already see a world
- 41:18filled with envy. Friends, we are not, we are not
- 41:25happy when somebody else gets something that we want and we'll
- 41:29break them down in order to get it ourselves.
- 41:33You're already seeing a world filled with murder.
- 41:39I need not say another word on it, friends.
- 41:41Just check the statistics. You're seeing a world filled
- 41:45with debate. People love to debate, and it's
- 41:48not about our interpretation of the scripture.
- 41:52It's about obedience, friends. You're already seeing a world
- 41:56filled with deceit. People are looking the part, but
- 42:00deep down their hearts are darkened and full of evil
- 42:04intentions. You're seeing a world filled
- 42:07with malignity. This is the cancerous tumor that
- 42:11grows, friends, that is killing us and eating away and eroding
- 42:17all of our dignity, all of our place here in this land that is
- 42:25filled with the Lord. You see it being eaten away and
- 42:28eroded at the highest levels. You're seeing a world filled
- 42:32with whisperers, those that gossip, those that are tattle
- 42:36tellers, those that lie and tell little white lies.
- 42:40These whisperers friends, you can see a world filled with
- 42:46backbiters, those that as soon as you turn around, they're
- 42:50ready to stab you in the back to take your position.
- 42:54You see a world filled with haters of God.
- 42:58Need I say anything else friends?
- 43:00You see it all around you. People are hostile towards God.
- 43:04You see a world filled with despiteful people.
- 43:08People are not willing to admit whenever they're wrong, they
- 43:13just keep going deeper down and to sin.
- 43:17They're despiteful of anything that is holy, anything that is
- 43:22reverent. You see A world that is filled
- 43:25with pride, friends. We even put it mainstream and
- 43:28make parades out of it, friends, and we think that it's something
- 43:32to tout, but it is despicable in the sight of God.
- 43:35You see a world that is filled with boasters.
- 43:38That is the way of the world. You see people who boast about
- 43:42all of their accolades and that is not the way of God.
- 43:45You see world that is filled with inventors of evil things.
- 43:50We have used all of the modernism to invent new ways of
- 43:55sinning against God and it is blasphemous at the highest
- 43:59levels. Friends.
- 44:00You see a world that is filled with disobedient children to
- 44:05their parents. You see this natural order that
- 44:07has been disrupted and Satan is having a heyday as he puts the
- 44:12nose in the ring. As he puts the ring in the nose
- 44:14and he leads the little children astray off into the doctrine of
- 44:19demons, you see a world that is filled without understanding.
- 44:24They have so much information that is coming their way and
- 44:28they still have no understanding because there is no knowledge
- 44:31apart from the knowledge of God Almighty.
- 44:34Friends, He is the one that put it all into place.
- 44:37And ever since the garden and ever since we chose to eat the
- 44:42fruit, the forbidden fruit, and ever since Cain killed and ever
- 44:47since Ham uncovered the nakedness of his Father, you see
- 44:52that we are despicable in all of our ways and we're hostile
- 44:56towards God and we desperately need a Savior and we cannot save
- 45:00ourselves. This is a world that is filled
- 45:04with covenant Breakers. Promises mean nothing.
- 45:08The yes means no and the no means no.
- 45:11Friends is what we're after. We cannot swear by God or swear
- 45:16by Jerusalem. We cannot make promises,
- 45:19Friends, we have to keep everything that we say.
- 45:22Your word is bond and it should not be broken for anybody.
- 45:26You see a world that is without natural affection.
- 45:30Look around friends. Parents are so disconnected,
- 45:34affected from the affection of their own children, and that is
- 45:38not the way of God. These parents are so preoccupied
- 45:42with the world and with greed and with their own selves.
- 45:46These are children raising children and they have not
- 45:49matured into the place of this natural affection that comes
- 45:53only from God. Friends, it is a world that is
- 45:57filled with implacable people that will not bend towards
- 46:01reason. This is a world that is filled
- 46:03with unmerciful people who no matter how much forgiveness they
- 46:09have received, they will not forgive others who have wronged
- 46:13them. And they hold them to the fire.
- 46:16And they are like the one who has been forgiven of a little
- 46:19debt, but they go and find the one who has debt against them,
- 46:24and they do not forgive them. And you see it, friends, This is
- 46:30a world that is filled with so much reprobate minds and
- 46:40delusion, and it is not the way of God.
- 46:44We'll end on. 32 Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they
- 46:50which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the
- 46:56same, but they have pleasure in them that do them.
- 47:02You can see it, friends. You can see it all around us.
- 47:05You can see how people that commit these vile acts take
- 47:11great pleasure when they see others doing it and they
- 47:15actually teach them how to do it.
- 47:19And it's not missed upon God. And thank God for the grace of
- 47:22the Lord Jesus Christ that we can come to Him, we can receive
- 47:26Him as our Savior. And none of the things that are
- 47:29mentioned just now will ever be counted against us, friends.
- 47:33But if we die in those sins, what God wanted us to see in
- 47:38that whole list of things is that we cannot save ourselves.
- 47:42And you might be a moralistic person and say that God would
- 47:46not send a good person to hell. But given the pedigree that we
- 47:51just read, you can see that every single person on planet
- 47:56earth is guilty as charged. And it is only by the
- 48:03righteousness of Jesus Christ. It is only by the sinless life
- 48:10that He lived that we can come unto the Father.
- 48:16This propitiation, friends, of this sacrifice of the Lord Jesus
- 48:23Christ that He gave us instead of our own merit.
- 48:29And thank God for that. We would never make it there
- 48:32without Jesus Christ. I hope you've been blessed by
- 48:36this amazing first chapter of Romans.
- 48:38I know I sure have many times over.
- 48:43Praying for you. I love you.
- 48:51We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 48:52God bless you.
