  An AFC West preview. So here we are.

  our beloved NFC and AFC East to the end right before the season.

  So we're starting off with the NFC West.

  So just to go through who we got here in the NFC West, the teams
• 2:40
  that we're going to rank by the end of this, but let's talk
• 2:43
  about them each first. You got the Cardinals, the Rams,
• 2:46
  the 49ers and the Seahawks. So starting off with the
• 2:52
  favorite, your favorite team. Who do you think's the favorite?

  Are probably the favorites going into this and the Rams, Sean

  McVay, they just gave Karen William Byron Williams money so

  now he's paid about 11,000,000 a season to be their running back

  kind of going late in fantasy drafts actually.

  Kyron Williams, I don't really understand why a little later

  than he should. Efficiency, that guy's really

  good efficiency, smiciency speedy.

  He's going to get every carry like he has been over there and

  they're going to throw it to to puka Nakua.

  Now the question is, is it just we're moving on and the offense

  You know, even if he's not making catches, maybe he's not

  getting open like he used to, but he's always been a good, you

  know, intangibles guy, a good blocker, a good everything else

  on the field. The Rams going to be as good as

  people think. Yes, I I think Devante Adams

  adding the addition of Devante Adams.

  He's he's an explosive player. He's a little bit better than
• 3:58
  Cooper Cup is after the season. The guy could could give you

  1213 hundred yards this year, depending on how Matthew

  Stafford is, if he stays healthy.

  They had the edit Terrence Ferguson.

  I like him. We've we interviewed him when he

  was going into college. He's an explosive player at
• 4:13
  explosive tight end who can block and catch the ball in many
• 4:17
  different ways in the field and they're going to be explosive

  defensively. This is a team that is not a
• 4:22
  very strong defensively with as far as the front 7 is concerned,
• 4:25
  the secondary with the additions that they had in the offseason,
• 4:28
  I think they're going to be very explosive.

  I see them winning 10 or 11 games this year.

  I, I really think the Rams could be one of the more dangerous
• 4:35
  teams in the other. See if there if there's a team
• 4:36
  that's going to challenge teams like the Green Bay Packers or
• 4:41
  even maybe people say the Minnesota Vikings this year or
• 4:45
  the Detroit Lions or how about the Philadelphia Eagles?

  This is the team in the NFC that can I know they rated there was
• 4:51
  a couple of people SI rated them AB minus Sports Illustrated,
• 4:56
  which is Sports Illustrated and added them as AB minus.

  ESPN rated them an A minus. They they could be explosive
• 5:04
  offensively. They can run the ball and this
• 5:06
  is an offensive line that played well in the second-half of the
• 5:08
  season. So Sean Mcfae's a good coach.

  He's a offensive minded coach and he really transit
• 5:14
  transcended their defense last year with some of the young
• 5:18
  talented players they have. I'm interested to see, hey,
• 5:21
  maybe Aaron Donald comes back this year.
• 5:23
  There have been stories coming out that he's been over there
• 5:25
  working with the team and training with the team in the
• 5:28
  offseason. He's looked really, really good
• 5:30
  as far as his, you know, his body and his build.
• 5:33
  I'm interested to see if this team wins 10 or 11 games this
• 5:37
  year and they have a chance to win a Super Bowl.

  If Aaron Donald comes back, it looks like he could, so we'll
• 5:41
  see. Yeah, this is a really good
• 5:42
  young homegrown defense. He seemed very different from
• 5:45
  their Super Bowl team, where they've kind of patched it
• 5:46
  together at linebacker and safety, but they had the
• 5:48
  veterans at corner. But you talk about the two pass
• 5:50
  rushers last year you had you had a guy in Kobe Durant that
• 5:53
  was a very good young corner, Kobe Turner, a good young
• 5:55
  defensive lineman that was I think a finalist for Rookie of
• 5:58
  the Year in 2020. 3 So this is a defense that has really been
• 6:01
  rising. They've been a second-half team
• 6:02
  each of each of the last two years after kind of slow start.
• 6:05
  So they'll have to probably get a faster start to be like one of
• 6:08
  the one or two seeds in the NFC. But they definitely have the
• 6:11
  talent and the coaching to. Be how many wins?
• 6:13
  I think they're 11:00 and 12:00 I could.

  Definitely, that's what I. Think you definitely can see in
• 6:16
  that range. Obviously the Eagles and
• 6:18
  probably the Lions maybe are a little more talented on paper,
• 6:20
  but I don't think definitively they're any, they're any less
• 6:22
  talented on paper than anyone else at this point.

  Still with the coaching to go along with it in a scheme that's
• 6:26
  worked for a very long time. Yeah, I think, I think McVeigh
• 6:30
  does a great job of of bouncing it out and I think you know him
• 6:34
  relating to the guys and and who he brings in.

  I thought you were going to go a little bit on your favorite
• 6:40
  team, the 49ers, and how they're going to be great this year,
• 6:42

  like the Rams. I've been a McVeigh fan and I

  think I think with what they got and what they brought in is

  going to is going to fit. And I think he'll, I think 11 is

  Yeah, 10 or 11, that's where I think I would go #2 Arizona,

  There's a pause for me with the Rams and their secondary's got

  no one you've ever heard of in it outside of Turner.

  If he develops right, they they don't have much of A secondary.

  They've pieced it together over the years.

  I mean, even when they were in the Super Bowl, didn't they

  bring what's his face off the bench?

  Eric Weddle, Yeah. Weddle off off they they just

  kind of pieced together defense. I think they is one of those

  guys like I can coach it up. I can get it to look passable.

  We will control the ball with a run game and we'll do enough

  passing and because we have great receivers and it'll be
• 7:39
  fine. And he's usually right with
• 7:42
  that. I just think they're going to

  really have to control the run game and really control the time
• 7:47
  of possession with the type of secondary they have or guys like
• 7:51
  Verse and Fisk that they develop even.

  I mean these guys, they could be really good.

  They were really good in one year.

  That D line is really good and nothing better than bad

  secondary. Having a good D line so they
• 8:03
  don't have to cover the field that for more than 3 or 4

  seconds every play. So good chance they can do it.

  They're just going to really need that pass rush to help that
• 8:10
  secondary. So after that, I mean, Errol, if

  you want to go to the Cardinals, we can go to the Cardinals.

  Jonathan Gannon was, you know, he's going into was a second or
• 8:19
  third year speed year. Three-year 3.

  Year 3 for Jonathan Gannon, really team.

  You know, the record might not have shown it, but the team
• 8:27
  really played a lot better down the stretch.

  They kind of rallied around and they just didn't have any real
• 8:33
  execution offensively. So obviously Kyler Murray, Kyler
• 8:38
  Murray, former number one overall pick, he hasn't really
• 8:42
  been the guy that people thought of when he was getting drafted.

  He's a little turnover happy. He's a little bit, you know,
• 8:49
  inaccurate. They they say that he doesn't do
• 8:52
  enough film study, plays too much video games, fish where he
• 8:56
  looks to run. Too much fish?
• 8:58
  Well. His running is his best part.

  Of it actually less in recent years though Java.

  But the part where he talks to about himself in third person is
• 9:08
  usually where guys lose me. And this is a strange cat.

  It's not like Jameis Winston where he's like, lovably

  strange. Isn't that Russell Wilson Esco

  kind? Of well, Russell Wilson is
• 9:19
  strange with his practice, like like he was like famously like
• 9:23
  doing high knees on the plane, like home.

  And yeah, he would like stretch like in the in they did a story

  like he would stretch like in the walkway, right?

  Yeah, yeah, in the aisle ways of the plane rides.

  I don't know. Well, I'm sure his Giants fans

  will find out more quirks of Russell Wilson this year.

  But as far as you know, Kyler Murray that it's as far as that

  team is only going to go as far as he goes.

  And I think everyone has a very different feeling on
• 9:48
  blundersized. But he's not like frail by any
• 9:51
  stretch of imagination. He's built, he's thick, he can
• 9:54
  run through. He's built like almost like
• 9:56
  Jalen Brunson, like just like run through people stocky.

  I think he's going to be fine this.

  Team they got Trey McBride. I think they're the best tight
• 10:03
  ends in the league. I think they're going.

  To be his favorite target. I think they're going to be.

  I'm going to I the, the big addition was Josh Schwett, the
• 10:11
  Super Bowl champion. Josh Schwett, their defense is
• 10:14
  going to be sensational this year.

  I think they they have a tremendous amount of offense.

  Kyler Murray is one of the more undersized quarterbacks in the
• 10:22
  league, but he can move inside and out of the pocket.

  He could throw. He's very accurate.

  Marvin Harrison junior, second year, I think he's going to be
• 10:28
  explosive. Trey McBride is one of the top
• 10:30
  three tight ends in all the football and James Connor,
• 10:32
  people forget James Connor is, is such a good running back and
• 10:36
  if you're a fantasy guy, you're going to draft him in the 1st
• 10:39
  second round. He is a great, great fantasy
• 10:41
  guy. I think this team is explosive
• 10:43
  offensively. I think they're going to do a
• 10:45
  lot of things great this year and some bad things defensively.
• 10:50
  I, I, I, I'm interested to see what the secondary is going to
• 10:53
  be, but they've got a tremendous amount of talent from from top
• 10:56
  to bottom. Buddha Baker, free safety,
• 10:58
  everybody knows who he is. He's explosive.

  He can hit you. He could dominate a game, but he
• 11:03
  also is injury prone. We have to see if this this
• 11:05
  defense stays healthy, if this defense stays healthy this year,
• 11:08
  I, I think there are playoff team and, and, and again, Kyle
• 11:11
  Murray's got to stay healthy. If he stays healthy, there's no
• 11:14
  doubt in my mind this team has enough talent and Gannon to good
• 11:17
  coach that if you look at what he has done as a head coach over
• 11:21
  there, everybody keeps talking about the, the, the coaches that
• 11:24
  came from the Super Bowl, the first Super Bowl champion of
• 11:27
  Philadelphia Eagles team. I think that this this guy
• 11:30
  Gannon could absolutely take take this team far in the
• 11:34
  playoffs. And again, the NFC, there's a
• 11:35
  lot of questions with the NFC besides the the Eagles and maybe
• 11:39
  the Detroit Lions. The Buccaneers are, are you
• 11:42
  scared of the Buccaneers? They'll probably win their
• 11:45
  division this year. Atlanta, not really.
• 11:47
  I, I think the Rams and Arizona could absolutely challenge the
• 11:51
  teams like Washington, the Commanders with a young
• 11:54
  quarterback in his second year. I, I could, I don't know about a
• 11:58
  young quarterback like the Minnesota Vikings.

  Is it his first year as a starting quarterback in the
• 12:02
  league? He is not Sam Donald.
• 12:04
  Sam Donald was a veteran quarterback.
• 12:06
  We have to see how it works with O'Connell.
• 12:08
  So there could be a lot of thoughts on Arizona and the Rams
• 12:12
  sneak into the playoffs and making noise.

  I I think Arizona is as dangerous as any team right now
• 12:17
  in the NFC. Yeah, one of my favorite
• 12:18
  offseasons that we saw. You mentioned Josh Sweat being
• 12:20
  the big move too, but also beefing up that interior
• 12:23
  defensive line as well during, you know, Giants legend Alvin
• 12:26
  Tomlinson. Darius Robinson, who was the
• 12:28
  first round pick last year, didn't get to play much, but
• 12:30
  when he played it in the second-half of the season was
• 12:31
  pretty good. I actually like a lot of their
• 12:33
  young corners that they had to. They just really didn't play as
• 12:35
  well as they looked on paper because of their pass rush to
• 12:38
  Max Melton and Garrett Williams are two draft picks from last
• 12:40
  year played well and then they draft Will Johnson, who I
• 12:42
  thought before he got hurt was the best corner in the draft of
• 12:44
  the time to offensively. The depth is going to be a
• 12:47
  question on their offensive line and with their receivers.
• 12:49
  But like you said, their stars are very good with James Conner
• 12:52
  and Trey McBride. What do you think Marvin
• 12:56
  Harrison Junior is going to do? Explosive.
• 12:58
  Better this year because I think his route tree has to grow a
• 13:00
  little more, but second year in that offense. 1400 yards this
• 13:03
  year, if Kyler Murray stays healthy, I think he's going to
• 13:05
  be so. Expensive.

  He said he put on like 10 lbs of muscle in the offseason.

  He looks ripped out of his mind. I mean it's not like a wide
• 13:13
  receiver really needs to put on muscle like that is to make you
• 13:15
  run faster. You might run slower actually.

  So Harrison was the 6th best performing wide receiver of the
• 13:22
  rookie class last year, an excellent class, but obviously
• 13:25
  he was taken first in that class.

  So he has something to prove this year for sure.

  I like his whole his prospects this year as well.

  I'm not nearly as high on their defense.

  They were second to last last year in defensive success rate.

  That usually means even if you were doing well, you got lucky

  at times. It's one of those more advanced

  statistics. Gannon has a very young group.

  They may have over performed last year against some of the
• 13:49
  metrics. I need to see it again.

  The kid Walter Nolan, they took in the first round, probably a
• 13:54
  bust. We were saying he was a bust.

  I he's he was more of a boom or bust guy took a little too high.

  So I just don't think I just don't think that defense has

  proven anything yet to really justify.

  They haven't proven a pass. Rush, they were injured all

  year. Last year they could not stay

  healthy. They had a tough schedule too

  They lost DK Metcalf obviously in the offseason.

  Tyler Lock. It's no longer part of the

  organization. There's no more Geno Smith,

  Lincoln Tomlson. I mean, this team is is pretty

  much they subtracted to it to add addition.

  They added some good weapons in the offseason.

  And again, I'm looking to see what Jalen Milroe is going to

  be. He is the backup quarterback.

  He's going to be playing behind Sam Darnold, but he could be the

  future of the Seattle Seahawks team.

  They're a good defensive team. They have one of the more
• 15:05
  underrated young offensive lines in football and they can run the
• 15:09
  ball. They have Walker, they've got a
• 15:11
  2 headed monster that can run all over you.

  That's what they're going to do. They're going to run, run, run

  and then they're going to throw. They're going to run, run, run
• 15:18
  that throat. They play old style football.

  McDonald is a defensive minded coach.

  He's going to push this defense to to become one of the elite

  defenses in a league. I don't think you're going to

  argue about what he does as a defensive coordinator, as a

  defensive mind. The question is, is this offense

  going to do enough and put enough points on the board to

  compete in the division? Yeah, they're going to be

  competitive. The only reason I'm a little

  more down on them, I think they're like 2 new all at once

  type thing. You're dealing with a new

  quarterback, a new offensive coordinator too.

  You got rid of his name was Ryan Groy at the end of last year,

  which was kind of surprising because their offense did take a
• 15:49
  leap last year. You saw Jackson Smith and Jig,
• 15:51
  but really take the leap into kind of a fringe #1 receiver.

  And the question is with their offensive line is more with
• 15:56
  their pass blocking. Their run block, like you were
• 15:58
  saying, is really good with their offensive line.

  Their pass blocking is kind of taking steps back though.

  And Darnold sometimes does have a tendency to hold the ball too
• 16:04
  long too. So that concerns me a little
• 16:05
  bit. Their defense and their
• 16:07
  secondary has been very good. They drafted the safety, the
• 16:10
  North SC safety that. Yeah, it was supposed.

  To be the best safety in the draft too.

  Front 7 still has a little bit of question marks for me, so I'm
• 16:16
  a little more down on the it's a kind of transition.

  It'll be like a 7-8 win team but kind of transition.

  They can run the ball, man, they can run the ball.

  They have one of the more elusive running backs in the
• 16:25
  league. People forget how great he is if
• 16:28
  he could stay healthy. Contract year firms, There's a

  big one. I think if you're drafting him

  in fantasy, I'm sorry Jabba, if you're a fantasy drafter, you
• 16:35
  drafting him in the top 2 rounds.

  Walker, he is going to be so explosive.

  Yeah, I'm in the middle of the draft.

  I don't think he's been taken. We're in the fourth round.

  Third, I've seen. Most of sharp early when you

  have two guys and one doesn't stay healthy that much, like

  Walker's been hurt. Chardonnay's just as good,

  almost at timing a little bit different skill set they have.

  And McDonald's is a defensive coach from the Ravens.

  Smith. And Jigba is one of the best

  receivers in football. And now that Metcalf's not

  taking the the touches from him and now that locket's not there,

  he's going to be a top five fantasy receiver this year

  because there's no one else to catch balls on that team.

  So when they're throwing, it's going to JSN watch.

  He's going to have 15 target games.

  This is my guy. I already got him in my draft.

  Murphy, the second, who was a great rookie inside as well.

  And then you just added DeMarcus Lawrence to be the third guy on

  that 3-4. And you have the great, you

  know, Ravens art, you know, the guy who created the Ravens, you

  know, pressure defense. The second iteration or I guess

  the third iteration after it. If you go back to Rex Ryan days,

  McDonald knows how to get a front 7 going and if they can

  play that kind of football, that's better than what I
• 18:17
  think's going on in that division.

  I think Kyler Murray's not going to do enough film study to beat

  that team. There's so many good pole of
