- 0:12Straight paths in a twisted world.
- 0:14Have you ever felt like you're swimming against the current,
- 0:16just trying to do the right thing?
- 0:19Like everyone else is finding faster, easier ways to get
- 0:23ahead, and you're left wondering if integrity is even worth it
- 0:26anymore. In a world that celebrates
- 0:29shortcuts and rewards compromise, choosing what's
- 0:32right can feel lonely, slow, and even foolish.
- 0:35But God sees paths very differently than we do.
- 0:39Proverbs Chapter 11, verses 5 to 6, tells us that the
- 0:43righteousness of the blameless keeps their way straight, while
- 0:46wickedness causes people to trip over their own choices.
- 0:50That's such an important truth. God isn't saying righteous
- 0:54people never struggle. He's saying that choosing his
- 0:56way protects you from traps you don't even see.
- 0:59Yet when you walk in righteousness, your path stays
- 1:02clear. When you cut corners, those
- 1:05shortcuts eventually turn into chains.
- 1:07So many people think freedom comes from doing whatever you
- 1:10want, but Scripture says the opposite.
- 1:14It says the treacherous are taken captive by their own
- 1:16desires. What feels exciting at first
- 1:19slowly tightens its grip. But righteousness delivers.
- 1:23It guards your heart, your future, and your peace.
- 1:26Psalm 22 brings comfort to this truth.
- 1:29David says that God was with him from the very beginning, from
- 1:32the womb, from birth, before he understood anything about life.
- 1:37God was already present, already faithful.
- 1:40That means you are not navigating this twisted world
- 1:43alone. God has been part of your story
- 1:46longer than your struggles, longer than your doubts, longer
- 1:49than your mistakes. When life feels unfair and it
- 1:53seems like others are winning by doing the wrong thing, remember
- 1:56this. God's path may feel slower, but
- 1:58it is steady. It may feel harder, but it is
- 2:01safer. It leads to peace instead of
- 2:04regret, freedom instead of captivity, and confidence
- 2:07instead of shame. Doing what's right isn't about
- 2:10earning God's love. It's about trusting that He
- 2:13knows where the road leads. When you choose righteousness,
- 2:16you're choosing clarity. You're choosing protection.
- 2:20You're choosing a path shaped by a God who has walked with you
- 2:23since the very beginning and isn't about to abandon you now.
- 2:27So don't be discouraged if integrity cost you time,
- 2:30popularity, or comfort. God is guiding your steps.
- 2:34Straight. Paths in a twisted world are
- 2:36still possible when you walk with Him.
- 2:38Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
- 2:41being with me from the very beginning of my life.
- 2:44When doing the right thing feels hard or lonely, remind me that
- 2:48Your way protects and delivers. Help me resist the temptation of
- 2:51shortcuts that lead to regret. Give me courage to walk in
- 2:55righteousness, trusting that You are guiding my steps and leading
- 2:59me toward peace and freedom. I choose your path even when
- 3:02it's hard because I trust you with my life in Jesus name,
- 3:07Amen. What if the way you pray changed
- 3:10because you truly knew who God is?

- 4:35righteousness of the blameless will direct his way, but the
- 4:38wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
- 4:40The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them, but the
- 4:42unfaithful will be trapped by evil desires.
- 4:45Psalm chapter 22 world English Bible for the chief musician set
- 4:50to the dough of the morning a Psalm by David my God, my God,
- 4:55why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping
- 4:58me and from the words of my groaning?
- 5:00My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don't answer in the
- 5:03night season, and I'm not silent.
- 5:05But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.
- 5:08Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted and you delivered
- 5:12them. They cried to you and were
- 5:13delivered. They trusted in you and were not
- 5:16disappointed. But I am a worm, and no man a
- 5:19reproach of men, and despised by the people.
- 5:22All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips,
- 5:25they shake their heads, saying He trusts in Yahweh, let him
- 5:29deliver him, let him rescue him, since he delights in him.
- 5:32But you brought me out of the womb.
- 5:34You made me trust while at my mother's breasts.
- 5:37I was thrown on you from my mother's womb.
- 5:39You are my God since my mother bore me.
- 5:41Don't be far from me, for trouble is near, for there is no
- 5:44one to help. Many bulls have surrounded me,
- 5:47strong bulls of bash and have encircled me.
- 5:50They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey
- 5:53and roaring. I am poured out like water.
- 5:56All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax.
- 5:59It is melted within me. My strength is dried up like a
- 6:02potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of
- 6:05my mouth. You have brought me into the
- 6:06dust of death, for dogs have surrounded me.
- 6:09A company of evildoers have enclosed me.
- 6:12They have pierced my hands and feet.
- 6:14I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.
- 6:17They divide my garments among them.
- 6:19They cast lots for my clothing. But don't be far off, Yahweh.
- 6:23You are my help. Hurry to help me deliver my soul
- 6:26from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.
- 6:29Save me from the lion's mouth. Yes, you have rescued me from
- 6:33the horns of the wild oxen. I will declare your name to my
- 6:36brothers among the assembly. I will praise you, You who fear
- 6:40Yahweh. Praise Him.
- 6:41All you descendants of Jacob. Glorify him.
- 6:44Stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel, for He
- 6:47has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted,
- 6:51neither has He hidden His face from Him.
- 6:53But when He cried to Him, He heard.
- 6:55My praise of you comes in the great assembly.
- 6:57I will pay my vows before those who fear Him.
- 7:00The humble shall eat and be satisfied.
- 7:03They shall praise Yahweh who seek after Him.
- 7:05Let your hearts live forever. All the ends of the earth shall
- 7:08remember and turn to Yahweh. All the relatives of the nations
- 7:12shall worship before you, for the Kingdom is Yahweh's.
- 7:15He is the ruler over the nation's.
- 7:17All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship.
- 7:20All those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him.
- 7:23Even he who can't keep his soul alive, posterity shall serve
- 7:27him. Future generations shall be told
- 7:29about the Lord. They shall come and shall
- 7:32declare His righteousness to a people that shall be born, for
- 7:34He has done it. Thanks for joining us on Bible
