- 2:06Speaker 1: but I hear you got a facial. You look beautiful.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Thank you, Candace.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Candace killed us good.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 1: What does she do? She takes like a buffer and
- 2:15Speaker 1: just buff buffs your face off.
- 2:17Speaker 2: She she buffs it, she pokes it, she buffs it,
- 2:21Speaker 2: she prizes.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Does she do extractions?
- 2:24Speaker 4: Yep?
- 2:25Speaker 1: I like that when they get like black heads.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Out and not many do that anymore.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So, why it's like not a lot of boogie. They
- 2:31Speaker 1: all want to charge you five hundred dollars to just
- 2:33Speaker 1: rub your face and throw some cream on it. That
- 2:37Speaker 1: Canda gets in there and gets dirtd if I'm going
- 2:40Speaker 1: to get it facial. I want someone to get all
- 2:41Speaker 1: the black heads out. Candace Myel, she's she's Candace Mayl.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Do you want to give her Instagram a shout out?
- 2:47Speaker 1: She's probably very busy. I imagine I don't know her Instagram. Well,
- 2:51Speaker 1: she's Candace by El. Everyone she's in lacial. How do

- 3:02Speaker 1: All right, Casey, we love you.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I love you guys.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Donald.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Uh, sometimes I was saying corn Hub, no back there.
- 3:13Speaker 1: They don't want to do it.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Nobody does it like corn Hub.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Okay, listen, Donald, can you focus on something else?
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:21Speaker 1: I went to, uh the Rangers game last night, and
- 3:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell.
- 3:25Speaker 2: You did they win?
- 3:27Speaker 1: They lost? Your bad luck, bro, don't say that you're
- 3:30Speaker 1: the ultimate body.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Say that I hear your luck because you're bridging tunnel
- 3:35Speaker 2: fronting like you're fucking New Yorker right now, and you're
- 3:38Speaker 2: only there six years.
- 3:39Speaker 1: How many fucking years do I have to live in
- 3:41Speaker 1: Manhattan for you to think that I'm not bridging tunnel
- 3:45Speaker 1: but living here in twenty years. Listen, bro, I don't
- 3:50Speaker 1: want the bridge in tub By two.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Because it's half of a year. Okay, so really, you've
- 3:56Speaker 2: lived there.
- 3:57Speaker 1: For I want to tell you, just now, tell you
- 4:00Speaker 1: you don't even like sports. I do. Now. I gotta
- 4:03Speaker 1: tell you. I granted it's playoff hockey, but I gotta
- 4:07Speaker 1: tell you, Hockey Live is fun. The crowd was.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Crazy, but the game is dope too, man.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And also it doesn't stop. What I like about it
- 4:17Speaker 1: is doesn't stop. It barely stops. And I also appreciate
- 4:21Speaker 1: time and stuff like that. They're very brief and you
- 4:24Speaker 1: can tell when there's TV timeouts and stuff, but the
- 4:26Speaker 1: crowd is so amped. I also appreciated that they call
- 4:31Speaker 1: it an intermission. I really like that there were two.
- 4:36Speaker 1: There were two intermission. It wasn't that halftime, it wasn't
- 4:39Speaker 1: any of that bullshit. It was an intermission.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It was your talk, it was your kind of speak.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I liked it. I really it's so fun, man. And
- 4:47Speaker 1: then we got to go down to the this this
- 4:49Speaker 1: sort of owner's dining room area and uh and during
- 4:53Speaker 1: each intermission and there's like food and it was just
- 4:57Speaker 1: really swank. Love the fans, I love the the energy
- 5:03Speaker 1: of it is crazy. I got a whole little MSG
- 5:05Speaker 1: thing figured out. Right now, I'm going again Friday.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You are falling in love with New York City. Look
- 5:11Speaker 2: at you. You're falling in love with it.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I love it. The only thing that's missing is you.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I wish you were here. I wish you were here
- 5:17Speaker 1: after this podcast we would stroll down the street and
- 5:20Speaker 1: get a meal together.
- 5:21Speaker 2: You are just doing this for the people so that
- 5:23Speaker 2: they believe that you miss me, But you don't miss me.
- 5:26Speaker 1: No, I had, I've had I've had drinks with Johnny,
- 5:28Speaker 1: I hung out with Bill.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Lawrence, drinks with Johnny, hung out with Bill Lawrence. Yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 2: in any of those conversations where you're like, you know,
- 5:36Speaker 2: I really fucking miss Donald right now.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Absolutely, there's always talk about you. Oh I got to
- 5:41Speaker 1: tell you. So, I'm in this fancy owners dining room
- 5:44Speaker 1: last night at MSG and a guy comes up to
- 5:46Speaker 1: me and he says, hey, I love the podcast, and
- 5:50Speaker 1: I go, oh, thank you. So much and my friend
- 5:52Speaker 1: whispers in my ear, do you know who that is?
- 5:55Speaker 1: And I'm like no, and he says, that's John Sykes,
- 5:58Speaker 1: the president of iHeart. Well, well, well.
- 6:01Speaker 2: You met John. You met John Sykes for the first time.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I never met John Sykes before. I guess he's also
- 6:06Speaker 1: the CEO. He also the CEO of the Rock and
- 6:08Speaker 1: Roll Hall of Fame. I'm told that's correct. Shout out John.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a dope dude.
- 6:13Speaker 1: He was very nice. He was very nice, and he
- 6:16Speaker 1: loves the podcast. He was like, you guys are killing it.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Dope dude.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Not cool.
- 6:20Speaker 2: That's really cool.
- 6:21Speaker 1: And I just thought it was going, like, hey, I
- 6:23Speaker 1: love the podcast.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Fucking Jeff Zucker moment. Bro.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Well, I didn't give him niggies Insaane.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I was hoping you. I was hoping you said something
- 6:30Speaker 2: like it, and so I fucking no.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I didn't embarrass myself at all. And he was so
- 6:35Speaker 1: nice and he loves our show and it was cool.
- 6:38Speaker 1: It was really it was neat.
- 6:39Speaker 2: That's awesome, bro, that's really cool. Did you guys hang
- 6:43Speaker 2: out after No.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I just talked to him for a second. You know,
- 6:46Speaker 1: everyone there is sort of you know, there's so much
- 6:48Speaker 1: going on. There's so much stimuli. Everyone's doing their own thing.
- 6:50Speaker 1: But I got to talk to him for a second.
- 6:52Speaker 2: It's big. The Rangers are you know, they're still fighting.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I learned so much. I didn't know you could
- 6:58Speaker 1: take the goalie out and and put another man on
- 7:01Speaker 1: the on the ice when you when you need to.
- 7:02Speaker 1: That's that's that's cool.
- 7:04Speaker 2: It's dangerous, it's.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Very I know that's how they lost their third goal.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Did you know that was a thing?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah? Man, my brother I grew up in house kitchen.
- 7:16Speaker 2: But I don't let me explain this shit to you.
- 7:18Speaker 2: My whole neighborhood is fucking straight up Irish man like
- 7:24Speaker 2: straight up I grew up in And now it's a
- 7:26Speaker 2: little bit more uh integrated, and there are way more cultures.
- 7:31Speaker 2: But when I was growing up, hockey was the number
- 7:35Speaker 2: one sport in my neighborhood. And it wasn't ice. It
- 7:37Speaker 2: wasn't necessarily ice hockey. It was roller hockey too. Street hockey, yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 2: street hockey. So cats were on, roller blades were coming out,
- 7:45Speaker 2: or you know. So my brother Dotte played hockey growing
- 7:51Speaker 2: up at a very young age, and you know, so
- 7:55Speaker 2: I learned a little bit from him and everybody in
- 7:58Speaker 2: my building who I grew up with. We're all hockey fans,
- 8:03Speaker 2: Ranger fans, Islander fans. Fucking there were very few Devil fans.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Sorry, New Jersey.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You wouldn't love Jersey. You wouldn't be a Devils fan
- 8:13Speaker 1: if you were, you know, in Hell's kitchen. I imagine
- 8:16Speaker 1: MSG is right there.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Right, So we're straight up Knicks fans. We're straight up
- 8:23Speaker 2: Ranger fans. In my neighborhood, I'm a Giants fan. There
- 8:26Speaker 2: are a lot of Jets fans, though I'm a Yankee fan.
- 8:29Speaker 2: There are a few Met fans, not a lot, but
- 8:32Speaker 2: there are a few Met fans. I did like the
- 8:34Speaker 2: Mets growing up, but I'm a Yankee fan.
- 8:38Speaker 1: You knew who I sat in front of it the
- 8:39Speaker 1: game and men, and my father rest in peace, would
- 8:41Speaker 1: have lost his mind. Was John Franco, the relief pitcher
- 8:43Speaker 1: for the eighty six Mets.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, come on, that's a series right.
- 8:49Speaker 1: There, dude, my father, I was listen. I want to
- 8:53Speaker 1: be sincere for a second. I had a night last
- 8:55Speaker 1: night because my friend is so dialed into MSG. So
- 8:57Speaker 1: I got this amazing experience where I'm like I was
- 9:00Speaker 1: just thinking to my father so much like he would
- 9:01Speaker 1: have been a kid in a candy store. I met
- 9:04Speaker 1: James Dolan and we sat at his table at dinner. Beforehand,
- 9:09Speaker 1: we sat in front of John Franco. I just kept
- 9:11Speaker 1: thinking to my dad because my dad loved all sports,
- 9:13Speaker 1: but particularly loved baseball. So I don't know, It's just
- 9:16Speaker 1: a cool moment where I was remembering my dad and
- 9:18Speaker 1: thinking about how much he would have loved this moment.
- 9:21Speaker 2: It's beautiful, bro.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It was baller. The funny thing too, was like, so
- 9:25Speaker 1: at the intermissions, you're invited to go back into this
- 9:31Speaker 1: James Dolan's dining room, and no one was. He wasn't
- 9:35Speaker 1: coming back to his table. So my friend was like,
- 9:37Speaker 1: are we to the ushers and the people that worked there,
- 9:40Speaker 1: like you sure we're allowed to sit at the table,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and they're like, yeah, it's fine because you were with
- 9:44Speaker 1: him at dinner, so it's fine. So the two intermissions
- 9:47Speaker 1: just me and him sitting at the owner's table in this.
- 9:51Speaker 5: In this.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Big dining room and people are walking by and I
- 9:57Speaker 1: were just like sitting there smiling, eating Sundays. Yeah, baby, anyway,
- 10:02Speaker 1: it's fun. It took me a long time to realize
- 10:04Speaker 1: how fun going to MSG is.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I wonder if that's why Spike loves his floor seats
- 10:13Speaker 2: and his backstage passes so much.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Well, he's he's so dialed, he's not even I don't think. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 1: there's some people there who are such regulars, the man
- 10:25Speaker 1: the crowd. Michael J. Fox was there last night. So
- 10:28Speaker 1: is Matthew. I said, hid to Matthew Brodrick. I didn't see.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I wasn't close enough to Michael J. Fox, but I
- 10:35Speaker 1: said hi to Matthew Roderick.
- 10:38Speaker 2: So I'm going to see the Alkalite tonight, the Acolyte tonight.
- 10:41Speaker 2: However the fuck you said? What is Acolyte?
- 10:46Speaker 4: What is it?
- 10:47Speaker 2: It's the Star Wars show.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Oh, where are you going to, like a premiere or something.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I'm going to a premiere tonight to see it. I'm
- 10:54Speaker 2: supposed to take my son, but it starts at seven.
- 10:57Speaker 2: It's kind of late for him. So I don't know
- 10:58Speaker 2: if that's going.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Why can't you get him a special night out?
- 11:01Speaker 2: Because he's not really that in the Star Wars, you
- 11:04Speaker 2: know what I mean. And I don't want to fucking
- 11:05Speaker 2: do that to him, you know what I'm saying.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So he wouldn't care to go to a premiere of
- 11:09Speaker 1: a show.
- 11:11Speaker 5: No.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I mean he might like the popcorn in the sprite,
- 11:14Speaker 2: but that's about it.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Oh well, why don't you bring Casey?
- 11:18Speaker 2: I don't. I don't know that she wants to go
- 11:20Speaker 2: to see a Star Wars either. I'm the Star Wars
- 11:23Speaker 2: fan in the house. I mean, I couldn't get these
- 11:26Speaker 2: guys to watch Star Wars if it was you know,
- 11:30Speaker 2: water and they were thirsty as fuck. You know what
- 11:33Speaker 2: I'm saying, Like.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Right wild, they will watch Cheaper by the Dozen though.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Over and over and over and over and over again
- 11:40Speaker 2: every morning. So I'm going to see the Acolyte tonight.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm happy for you, man, I know, well.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I'm somewhat excited. I don't know. I don't know what
- 11:47Speaker 2: to expect.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Do you have a good fit?
- 11:49Speaker 2: No, I'm gonna go incognity. I'm not gonna try and
- 11:52Speaker 2: fucking be mister. Hey, I'm here for Star Wars.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Why can't you put on a nice fit?
- 11:57Speaker 2: That's because that's not my stakes right now. I'm not
- 11:59Speaker 2: in you just you're just sweatpants. I'm not in the
- 12:03Speaker 2: mood to do all that shit. I'm just going to
- 12:04Speaker 2: see a fucking movie and enjoy myself. That's right. Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 2: I'm not into it. I'm not gonna. I'm not. If
- 12:10Speaker 2: I can, I'm gonna skip the press line all of
- 12:12Speaker 2: that ship.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Are you gonna put moisturizer on your face?
- 12:17Speaker 2: I never put lotion on guys. You know this.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Joelle is shaking her head. She's not approved.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Literally unbelievable to me.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's unbelievable to me too. And I don't have
- 12:27Speaker 1: skin like Joel. I'm just Joe.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I am an oily, oily man.
- 12:33Speaker 1: They have for that, they have. She's so sad, She's like,
- 12:38Speaker 1: they have lotions for that. By the way, I sent
- 12:42Speaker 1: last time we last time we had this conversation, I
- 12:45Speaker 1: sent Casey the moisturizer I used because I was like, oh,
- 12:48Speaker 1: give this to Donald, because she goes, do you know
- 12:51Speaker 1: how many products I have here? He won't use any
- 12:54Speaker 1: of them.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Well, she's like the gold Russia is coming soon.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I can see I can't get I can't get him lotion.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I'm paying for gold.
- 13:09Speaker 2: We came all the way from Texas.
- 13:13Speaker 1: The same Francisco to get.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Us to stratcher it.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I ain't gotten it time to put a lotion on
- 13:22Speaker 1: his face, I'm paying for gold nuggets.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Casey, what you do for a living? I'm a prospector, Dune.
- 13:33Speaker 1: We have a great show. We have Michael Moseley here.
- 13:35Speaker 1: But by the way, it's the last episode of Scrubs
- 13:37Speaker 1: we're ever going to watch.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Ever.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I was realizing as I was making my notes today.
- 13:42Speaker 1: For those of you who've been with us the whole time,
- 13:44Speaker 1: for those of you have been with us since the beginning,
- 13:48Speaker 1: since the get go, but that is the last episode
- 13:51Speaker 1: of Scrubs we are gonna watch. We're done, it's over.
- 13:55Speaker 1: The experiment will be completed in this hour.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Well, we don't know how long the show's going to
- 14:02Speaker 2: be today, it could be a short one.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Well, I'm just saying, the experiment of the rewatch of
- 14:07Speaker 1: Scrubs nine seasons is done with this very episode nine thirteen.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It's a bad feel number.
- 14:15Speaker 1: How do you feel? I think we had a great
- 14:17Speaker 1: time doing this.
- 14:20Speaker 2: The experiment.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yes, the experiment.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Fuck yeah, this is one of the best things that's
- 14:25Speaker 2: ever happened to me. What are you talking about?
- 14:27Speaker 1: It's so much fun, right, dude?
- 14:31Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 14:33Speaker 1: I don't want it to be over.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'm either man, I'm like I'm kind of like, maybe
- 14:37Speaker 2: we should watch it again.
- 14:39Speaker 1: No, no, no, I don't think we should do that
- 14:41Speaker 1: to ourselves.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Let's do it again. I want to remember that.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Oh my god, did you watch that Broadway kid? I
- 14:48Speaker 1: sent you singing.
- 14:50Speaker 2: That motherfucker is hilarious. I sent it to everybody, Joel.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I don't know if Joel has been watching my dms
- 14:58Speaker 1: lately or not, but she usually gives good feedback.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Motherfucker is hilarious.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I gotta give this guy a shot.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And if we're gonna do it, we gotta go first,
- 15:08Speaker 2: and then I'll go.
- 15:09Speaker 1: But I got on all right. But I want to
- 15:11Speaker 1: say that this guy is so funny. His name is
- 15:16Speaker 1: Gabe Gibbs, you guys on Instagram, and he's like a
- 15:20Speaker 1: he's his bio says songwriter, comedian, Broadway performer, and he
- 15:25Speaker 1: takes songs and he he broadway affies them. And did
- 15:31Speaker 1: I send you Donald the the Drake one? Yes, there
- 15:36Speaker 1: was one he did in case Drake needs to His
- 15:39Speaker 1: title was in case he needs to change genres. Because
- 15:43Speaker 1: after this, let me just play you a little snippet.
- 15:46Speaker 6: I think you're ready to try it all on your own.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Go ahead, bend that ass.
- 15:57Speaker 6: Come on, you're already doing it that coachy breathe. Yes,
- 16:02Speaker 6: just like I showed you. Come on, shake that ass, bitch, hands.
- 16:08Speaker 7: On your knees, hands.
- 16:10Speaker 6: On your knees, hand on your knees, and you can
- 16:18Speaker 6: shake that ass for Drake.
- 16:21Speaker 2: But now I'm so proud.
- 16:25Speaker 7: You can shake that.
- 16:27Speaker 8: Ask for.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Me.
- 16:34Speaker 1: He's incredible and he did.
- 16:37Speaker 2: He does, so he does. What he does is what
- 16:40Speaker 2: if these songs were in musicals? What if all of
- 16:43Speaker 2: these rap songs or the jayl one is hilarious. It's
- 16:49Speaker 2: the last musical number. It could be the act break,
- 16:54Speaker 2: or it could be the final number in the show.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Listen this is I want to say I should have
- 17:00Speaker 1: Gabe Gibbs on the show, Joel, but this guy makes
- 17:02Speaker 1: me laugh so hard. This is the last musical number
- 17:05Speaker 1: from the Jayla musical.
- 17:10Speaker 6: Papa, Oh, Papa, I can't believe it's you.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Oh, don't be fooled by the rocks that I got.
- 17:22Speaker 1: They're just Jules, Papa.
- 17:25Speaker 6: I'm still I'm still Jenny from the block that when
- 17:29Speaker 6: you grew upon.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I used to.
- 17:32Speaker 6: Have a little Now I got lot.
- 17:36Speaker 2: No matter where I go.
- 17:38Speaker 6: I know where I came from.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I came from the bro amazing, right, dude, I love
- 17:57Speaker 1: that guy, Joel, Please book him. He's hilarious. That genre
- 18:01Speaker 1: of there's a whole world of like obviously, as we
- 18:04Speaker 1: all know anything you're interested in, but on Instagram, the
- 18:07Speaker 1: algorithm knows they love Broadway. So it sends me these
- 18:10Speaker 1: comedians who do funny Broadway shit, spoof Broadway, and that
- 18:14Speaker 1: guy's so funny. I just thought I came from the road.
- 18:21Speaker 2: That's just hilarious, dude. All right, So this is my
- 18:24Speaker 2: Instagram moment. Nostalgia is my shit right now. For some reason,
- 18:30Speaker 2: all of the things that I grew up on are
- 18:32Speaker 2: now popping up on my Instagram. Eighties nostalgia, eighties nostalgia,
- 18:37Speaker 2: so like the Garfield, remember the Garfield and Heathcliff Hour.
- 18:43Speaker 2: A lot of people don't remember it. This was my
- 18:44Speaker 2: era and they had like Heathcliff, Heathcliff, No One, Shoot Terror,
- 18:49Speaker 2: Razden Neighborhood. Anyway, it was the theme song for his
- 18:53Speaker 2: moment right his half hour. I found this one from
- 18:58Speaker 2: or Instagram's send me this one. This is one of
- 19:01Speaker 2: my favorite commercials from back in the day when and
- 19:04Speaker 2: I guess I was in my teens, but I just
- 19:06Speaker 2: think it's made like a movie. I'm gonna put it
- 19:08Speaker 2: on screen so you can see it. I don't know
- 19:11Speaker 2: how well it's gonna be.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Just hold the mic up to the thing with jigging.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Off in the distance. The game's dragging on.
- 19:26Speaker 1: There's strikes, all the batter some rudders are all its
- 19:31Speaker 1: Suddenly everyone's looking at me.
- 19:36Speaker 2: My mind has been wondering what could it be.
- 19:40Speaker 9: They put to the sky and I look up before
- 19:45Speaker 9: and I baseball falls.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Into my club.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I play right field.
- 19:54Speaker 7: It's important now.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Know how to catch.
- 19:59Speaker 2: You gotta know how.
- 20:01Speaker 3: That's why I'm playing right here where up where the
- 20:05Speaker 3: dand the Lions grow.
- 20:06Speaker 2: As a round sponsor of Little League Baseball, Pizza Hut
- 20:09Speaker 2: welcomes all the kids who make it great dude. When
- 20:16Speaker 2: I was I guess I was fourteen, teenage mutant Ninja
- 20:20Speaker 2: Turtles would be coming on after school and stuff like that.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And that was Pizza Hut's number one fucking jump off
- 20:27Speaker 2: and it was one of the I remember thinking like,
- 20:29Speaker 2: holy fuck, this is one of the dopest commercials because
- 20:32Speaker 2: it captured Sandlot, but it also kept like whoever since
- 20:36Speaker 2: the cinematographer and the director for that commercial. Really knew
- 20:40Speaker 2: how to fucking shoot like bad News Bears all of
- 20:44Speaker 2: that stuff. It captured that feeling. As a youth, I
- 20:48Speaker 2: remember that and now as an adult looking back, I
- 20:51Speaker 2: played Little League baseball, I played pal baseball. That shit
- 20:54Speaker 2: was a lot of fun. And that's what it felt
- 20:56Speaker 2: like when the fucking scrub that you put all away
- 21:00Speaker 2: out in the middle of nowhere fucking makes a great play.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah, that was sweet good.
- 21:06Speaker 2: It's one of the I mean, in my opinion, it's
- 21:08Speaker 2: one of the best ads man. But anyway, it's.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Not as good as go on. All right, Michael Wilson
- 21:15Speaker 1: is here. Five stories. I'm not sure we made about
- 21:21Speaker 1: a bunch of talks and nurses.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I said, he's the stories nephew.
- 21:30Speaker 2: So YadA here, yeada. Here is.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Michael Moseley. Welcome to the podcast.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Everybody, bro.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Yeah we can hear you. Can you hear us?
- 21:47Speaker 4: Good?
- 21:48Speaker 7: Yeah? Yeah, good to see you.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Good, Good to estee you man. Where are you?
- 21:53Speaker 4: I'm in la I'm in my home, very nice. Yeah,
- 21:56Speaker 4: where are you guys at?
- 21:58Speaker 2: I'm in my garage.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Donald's in his garage in La La Land. This is Daniel,
- 22:02Speaker 1: who's our engineer and editor, and that's Joelle Monique, she's
- 22:06Speaker 1: our producer. J Dude, We're so happy to have you
- 22:10Speaker 1: because it's a you know, we've been doing this thing
- 22:13Speaker 1: and we've been wanting this is the very last episode
- 22:17Speaker 1: of the podcast in its first incarnation, which was to
- 22:21Speaker 1: do a rewatch of all of the episodes, and we
- 22:26Speaker 1: just finished with this one, watching nine to thirteen, and
- 22:31Speaker 1: we're going to keep the podcast going because we're having
- 22:33Speaker 1: so much fun and we're just gonna joke around and
- 22:36Speaker 1: keep doing our thing. But we wanted to have you
- 22:38Speaker 1: on because as we've watched season nine, Donald and I
- 22:41Speaker 1: have had lots of thoughts, good and bad, but one
- 22:44Speaker 1: thing we've said over and over and over again is
- 22:47Speaker 1: just how what what a phenomenal actor you are.
- 22:49Speaker 2: You steal the fucking season. Bro, you really do, man,
- 22:53Speaker 2: you steal.
- 22:55Speaker 7: You guys are sweet? Thank you? No, that was no,
- 22:57Speaker 7: that's so sweet to say. No, it was.
- 23:01Speaker 4: It was amazing. It was an amazing experience. It was
- 23:03Speaker 4: my first time, you know, being on a show with
- 23:06Speaker 4: a single digit number on a call sheet where I
- 23:09Speaker 4: had to be there, you know, and yeah, it was
- 23:12Speaker 4: just it was it was an amazing experience. It was
- 23:15Speaker 4: an amazing experience, and I'm glad you guys are doing this.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Do you tell us about, if you go back to
- 23:22Speaker 1: the beginning, how you got the part, because you know,
- 23:25Speaker 1: there was this whole new push obviously for season nine
- 23:27Speaker 1: to bring in, you know, to keep the show going
- 23:31Speaker 1: with new, younger people, and it was a huge deal
- 23:34Speaker 1: to get that part. They saw everyone in town. I remember,
- 23:38Speaker 1: what was your experience, like, I mean, we have a
- 23:40Speaker 1: lot of actors that listen. I'm sure they'd love to know,
- 23:42Speaker 1: you know, what your audition process was like.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Well, I had read for Bill for a pilot before,
- 23:50Speaker 4: while you guys are still doing one, probably towards you
- 23:52Speaker 4: guys are getting towards the end of your of your scrubs.
- 23:55Speaker 4: I did a show called Alpha Mom. It was a
- 23:57Speaker 4: pilot that carry Aaron wrote and Bill directed, and he
- 24:01Speaker 4: was just it was awesome.
- 24:01Speaker 7: It was a great sperience, but it never went and
- 24:03Speaker 7: then and then this thing.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Popped up, and so I kind of knew him, and
- 24:07Speaker 4: I think it was just you know, and then all
- 24:10Speaker 4: sudden you're stand in front of network, and then all
- 24:11Speaker 4: of a sudden, you know, you're signing a contract. And
- 24:15Speaker 4: then all of a sudden you're at a table read,
- 24:17Speaker 4: you know, and uh, and it was it was great.
- 24:20Speaker 4: I mean it was nerve wrecking because you guys had
- 24:22Speaker 4: kind of created this brand in this world, in this universe,
- 24:25Speaker 4: and you did eight seasons. Yeah, yeah, and it had
- 24:30Speaker 4: ended so beautifully. I remember, I think you might have
- 24:33Speaker 4: directed that last episode, Zach, did you drink the last?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Actually Rick Blue directed the last.
- 24:37Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, you know you're conflating two things. He's say,
- 24:40Speaker 1: he sang the season eight finale.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Yes, the one that was like a dream, like a
- 24:44Speaker 4: memory dream that was like kind of it was a
- 24:46Speaker 4: really beautiful sequence at the end.
- 24:48Speaker 1: But the projections I didn't direct that. It was the
- 24:50Speaker 1: projections were my idea and it was inspired by something
- 24:53Speaker 1: I had done before. But I didn't direct the episode.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I forgot if it was Bill or who it was.
- 24:59Speaker 1: But do you remember that it was beautiful? You guys
- 25:01Speaker 1: look that up set them credit, But yeah, thank you.
- 25:04Speaker 1: That's what we was kind of the proper series finale
- 25:08Speaker 1: of Scrubs as it was known before the Medical School
- 25:11Speaker 1: incarnation that is season nine.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I've done it a couple of times, and every time
- 25:17Speaker 2: i've done it, it's usually the end, like you know,
- 25:21Speaker 2: I came in on Legends of Tomorrow and thinking we
- 25:24Speaker 2: got one more season. We gotta fucking go out with
- 25:27Speaker 2: a bang. I'm like, I'm thinking, holy shit, how do
- 25:31Speaker 2: I This is a fucking show that's been on for
- 25:33Speaker 2: like ten years or some shit like that, and I'm
- 25:35Speaker 2: coming in now. Uh you know, you I was as
- 25:40Speaker 2: big as I possibly could be. I you know, this
- 25:42Speaker 2: scope was you know, that ship was fucking difficult to
- 25:46Speaker 2: It wasn't difficult to join, but it was difficult to
- 25:49Speaker 2: try and fit in. And that's all I really wanted
- 25:51Speaker 2: to do. And so coming into season nine, at least
- 25:54Speaker 2: you had people that were new with you, though, bro,
- 25:57Speaker 2: at least you had a block of you know what
- 25:59Speaker 2: I mean, and you were and it was like you
- 26:01Speaker 2: guys versus us. For me, it was me versus them,
- 26:03Speaker 2: and they were all cool and shit. But you know,
- 26:06Speaker 2: I mean, you know how it is. You you you
- 26:08Speaker 2: you've experienced it in this in other things too.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, No, it was cool. I mean it was
- 26:14Speaker 4: fun because you guys, you know, I just remember coming
- 26:16Speaker 4: in trying, like I was like, just don't break the furniture,
- 26:18Speaker 4: just you know, hit your mark, say your line, and
- 26:22Speaker 4: you know, and just be respectful of the process that
- 26:24Speaker 4: these folks have already. You know, they you guys have
- 26:26Speaker 4: already made the soup. It's working, you know what I mean.
- 26:28Speaker 4: So like just you know, if.
- 26:30Speaker 7: The fire is going, don't touch it.
- 26:31Speaker 4: So yeah, it was just fun. But then you guys
- 26:33Speaker 4: would like, I mean, you guys would be like on
- 26:35Speaker 4: a bike like right and through the back of a scene,
- 26:37Speaker 4: just like just to try to like you know, you
- 26:39Speaker 4: were just fun and it was your house and you
- 26:41Speaker 4: knew how to be in your house and play around
- 26:42Speaker 4: in your house, and so that was kind of it
- 26:44Speaker 4: was just it was a fun It was a fun experience.
- 26:46Speaker 4: But I did, you know, and I got to work
- 26:47Speaker 4: with Eliza and she'd kind of been on the show before,
- 26:51Speaker 4: so she kind of knew knew the rhythms and everything
- 26:54Speaker 4: and how to and so I was lucky that way.
- 26:56Speaker 4: But yeah, there was a bunch of us that were
- 26:57Speaker 4: all kind of looking at each other like, Okay, what
- 26:59Speaker 4: are we doing, What's gonna happened? What's this going to
- 27:00Speaker 4: look like?
- 27:01Speaker 1: You know, well, I want to hear I want to
- 27:03Speaker 1: hear more about I want to hear more about that
- 27:05Speaker 1: in your experience together, because I have to say, I'm
- 27:08Speaker 1: not being self deprecating about this, but I watched the
- 27:11Speaker 1: show and I've I've said this on the podcast that
- 27:15Speaker 1: I'm so not present and I'm so leaning into the jokes.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I think I was sort of checked out in my
- 27:22Speaker 1: head and and I'm being so broad and that I
- 27:27Speaker 1: felt like when I watched season nine, you did such
- 27:31Speaker 1: a good job of being grounded. Because the show, as
- 27:33Speaker 1: we all know, is all over the place in its tone.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Sometimes it's tries to be very serious and succeeds. Sometimes
- 27:39Speaker 1: it's fantasies and very silly. But I what I admired
- 27:43Speaker 1: about your performance is that you you always were real,
- 27:45Speaker 1: you know, you you dealt with these scenes that were,
- 27:49Speaker 1: you know, sometimes ridiculous or sometimes you know, don't don't
- 27:53Speaker 1: didn't fully work, but you were always completely straight and
- 27:57Speaker 1: real in them and still found a way to be funny,
- 27:59Speaker 1: which I which I think is is is what we
- 28:02Speaker 1: were kind of doing in the beginning of Scrubs, early
- 28:05Speaker 1: in earlier episodes, but in this season, for me, I
- 28:08Speaker 1: think I lost the plot a bit.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, not only that you and you and Eliza, your
- 28:15Speaker 2: chemistry together we I mean, that was the most in
- 28:19Speaker 2: my opinion, I've said this a number of times on
- 28:21Speaker 2: the show. That was the most interesting part of the
- 28:24Speaker 2: season as well. Uh, and the most fun part of
- 28:27Speaker 2: the season. You guys really did capture something and it
- 28:32Speaker 2: kind of reminded us of Cox and Jordan a little bit,
- 28:35Speaker 2: you know what I mean. But yeah, so yeah, speak
- 28:38Speaker 2: on that.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Well, I just lucked out having to be Eliza. You know,
- 28:42Speaker 4: we're just we just you know, we were just like
- 28:45Speaker 4: France and we're just like I think, you know, she
- 28:49Speaker 4: was from like New Hampshire or something like that. She
- 28:51Speaker 4: had that accent she could pull out of her you know,
- 28:53Speaker 4: she was from like New Hampshire and I was from Iowa,
- 28:57Speaker 4: and we both just felt like these hicks, you know
- 28:58Speaker 4: that can kind of hick kind of somehow somebody kicked
- 29:01Speaker 4: us on stage together and so I think we just
- 29:03Speaker 4: were kind of like, you know, brothers.
- 29:05Speaker 7: In arms like that a little bit.
- 29:08Speaker 4: It was easy, and she's you know, lovable, so easy
- 29:10Speaker 4: to bounce off of her and to kind of and
- 29:12Speaker 4: she's always cracking jokes. She's like a comedian at her core,
- 29:15Speaker 4: I think, you know what I mean. So she was
- 29:16Speaker 4: always like you know. The other thing on Scrubs is
- 29:19Speaker 4: I find that like, which I hadn't done before. Would
- 29:23Speaker 4: be like we would do a couple according to the script,
- 29:26Speaker 4: and then the script would kind of go over, and
- 29:28Speaker 4: then the writers would come wisper something in your ear,
- 29:30Speaker 4: somebody'd come over and somebody would have a different punchline,
- 29:32Speaker 4: and then you'd like, then you try to out punchline
- 29:35Speaker 4: each other and just try to get that camera guy
- 29:37Speaker 4: to shake, because you knew if he was shaking and
- 29:39Speaker 4: he was laughing, and we knew we were doing something right,
- 29:41Speaker 4: you know what I mean. And I remember that was
- 29:44Speaker 4: kind of a cool experience. It was kind of what's
- 29:46Speaker 4: funny floats and so, and you know what I mean,
- 29:50Speaker 4: And if the best punch line would always win and
- 29:52Speaker 4: would always usually make the cut, even if it wasn't
- 29:54Speaker 4: what it was on the page that day.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I feel like that kind of how you guys remember
- 29:57Speaker 2: absolutely by season nine we were going so far, Like
- 30:01Speaker 2: I remember saying shit this season nine where it was like,
- 30:03Speaker 2: oh my god, I can't believe I just said that
- 30:05Speaker 2: to it, and somebody's like, you know, Disney gets to
- 30:07Speaker 2: keep all of these outtakes now, And this was at
- 30:10Speaker 2: the point where I was done. I was like, I
- 30:12Speaker 2: don't even fun let him keep that ship. I don't care.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I remember that shit so like, I remember the outtakes
- 30:19Speaker 2: getting so fucking outrageous that I was saying some dumb
- 30:23Speaker 2: shit about weed. All of that stuff. I'll never forget.
- 30:27Speaker 2: I'll never forget.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Well, yeah, I freedom though, that's yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I think that's what's great about the environment. If you
- 30:34Speaker 1: feel like there's no wrong answer and and and you
- 30:38Speaker 1: can just play, that's the that's the ideal environment for us.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Even when we're doing these t mobile ads, they're obviously scripted,
- 30:45Speaker 1: but then we just we get to play around and
- 30:48Speaker 1: be silly and allows us to just kind of really
- 30:53Speaker 1: feel like we're we're a part of the creative process
- 30:55Speaker 1: in a way that isn't common. It's what Donald and
- 30:57Speaker 1: I have been used to for a giant chunk of
- 31:00Speaker 1: our career, but it isn't common for a lot of people.
- 31:02Speaker 1: A lot of people are like just to say the joke, Well,
- 31:05Speaker 1: there's something really that.
- 31:06Speaker 7: I've been on comedies that are like that too.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Like I remember being on thirty Rock and I remember
- 31:10Speaker 4: Tina would be like, that's not how it was written.
- 31:12Speaker 4: I was like, oh right, sorry, because I mean I
- 31:14Speaker 4: coming from Scrubs.
- 31:15Speaker 7: It was like, I don't, I'm not, there's nothing.
- 31:17Speaker 4: She's obviously a genius, you know, but I just remember
- 31:20Speaker 4: it was just two different schools. Like Bill would be like,
- 31:22Speaker 4: like I remember because I think I remember I was
- 31:24Speaker 4: listening to the Shade episode y'all just did, and I
- 31:29Speaker 4: remember Bill being around more. I know he wasn't, but
- 31:32Speaker 4: he wasn't like Cougartown, like right across the lot or something.
- 31:35Speaker 2: He's like bike over here and there and stuff like that. Yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 2: so here's the here's the real deal. Holy feel Uh.
- 31:43Speaker 2: In the beginning, when Zach was around, Bill would come
- 31:46Speaker 2: around a lot more often because he and Zach have
- 31:49Speaker 2: a connection.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Much like Cox and JD.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Very much like Cox and JD. But uh, Bill's a
- 31:57Speaker 2: little bit more loving now.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Why oh now, now he's a completely different person.
- 32:04Speaker 2: But even back then he was loving to Even back then,
- 32:06Speaker 2: he was just a little bit.
- 32:07Speaker 1: More love and we started he.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Kind of loved you a little bit more than the
- 32:11Speaker 2: rest of us. Bro, keep it one.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Hand, you've never said that your favorite fucker.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Don't even try it.
- 32:17Speaker 1: You're yelling a and b uh, you've never said this
- 32:22Speaker 1: in all these episodes of the podcast that you felt.
- 32:25Speaker 2: I gotta say it.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Now, do you feel that Bill favored me as the
- 32:28Speaker 1: favorite child?
- 32:30Speaker 2: We should fucking do a survey. But absolutely, dude, we
- 32:34Speaker 2: never do a survey. Ask everyone in the fucking cast,
- 32:38Speaker 2: and I'm.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Here we go that outside of the show, we became
- 32:42Speaker 1: very close. To this day, he's we're very close. So yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 1: he was like a big brother to me. And and
- 32:49Speaker 1: that is true. But I've never heard you articulate that.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Dude. You come on, bro, you know this. Everybody knows.
- 32:55Speaker 1: I didn't know that it was something that you were
- 32:58Speaker 1: were conscious of.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I was a loof. How about that? Is that the
- 33:04Speaker 2: right way to use it?
- 33:05Speaker 1: What do you mean you were a loof?
- 33:07Speaker 2: Knew it? I knew it, but I pretended not to know.
- 33:12Speaker 1: You look the other way the way, man. No, Bill's
- 33:19Speaker 1: been a big I mean beyond, I mean, so many
- 33:22Speaker 1: things happening if their Mannie o'donald had a whole career
- 33:25Speaker 1: before Scrubs. I was a waiter and Bill like chose
- 33:28Speaker 1: me from from waiterdom and uh, and then when I
- 33:31Speaker 1: went on to make my movies, he would give me
- 33:34Speaker 1: notes and and was a mentor to me in so
- 33:37Speaker 1: many ways and ask.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Me how many times Bill has given me notes?
- 33:41Speaker 1: Have you given screenplays that you've written to read?
- 33:45Speaker 2: Say it again?
- 33:46Speaker 1: Have you given Bill screenplays that you've written for him
- 33:49Speaker 1: to read?
- 33:51Speaker 2: No, dude, I'm not a writer.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Oh well, there you go. I don't think. I don't
- 33:55Speaker 1: think he can give you notes on You can't give
- 33:56Speaker 1: you notes on nothing.
- 33:58Speaker 7: Do you like notes? Donald, They do not like notes.
- 34:01Speaker 2: One shit that I have written, Like, I wrote this
- 34:04Speaker 2: thing called Alabama Jackson, and it would have been nice
- 34:07Speaker 2: if I could have gotten some notes from Bill, but
- 34:09Speaker 2: I kind of was a little nervous to ask him,
- 34:11Speaker 2: and it was this little, tiny, small thing and I
- 34:12Speaker 2: didn't want to do that. But yeah, those when it
- 34:16Speaker 2: comes to stuff like that, Absolutely, he's fucking the king.
- 34:20Speaker 2: In my eyes, he's the best to do it right now,
- 34:23Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Yeah, he's so you know
- 34:26Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 34:27Speaker 4: I mean, I remember at the table read, he remember,
- 34:30Speaker 4: and I still this is like my like the golden rule.
- 34:32Speaker 7: He was just like we were at the table read
- 34:34Speaker 7: and he.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Was like, I just have one rule, you know, don't
- 34:36Speaker 4: be an asshole.
- 34:37Speaker 7: And he was like, all these.
- 34:38Speaker 4: People are gonna be working late into Friday night and
- 34:40Speaker 4: missing soccer games the next on Saturday morning, or basketball
- 34:43Speaker 4: games on Friday nights, because they're going to be here
- 34:45Speaker 4: carrying stuff around to make you guys look pretty. Just
- 34:48Speaker 4: don't be a dick, you know, just be cool. And
- 34:51Speaker 4: that's always been kind of That's like, that was the
- 34:53Speaker 4: Bill Lawrence rule in my head that I've always carried
- 34:58Speaker 4: with me.
- 34:58Speaker 2: But he created he's and because of that, he's created
- 35:01Speaker 2: in me as I think I could say the same
- 35:03Speaker 2: thing for Zach. I think every show that I've ever
- 35:05Speaker 2: been on, I've created a relationship with the crew way
- 35:10Speaker 2: more than creating relationship necessarily with actors on set, you
- 35:13Speaker 2: know what I mean, because I understand how important it
- 35:15Speaker 2: is for them to enjoy what they're doing, you know
- 35:18Speaker 2: what I mean. Actors, we for some reason need our
- 35:21Speaker 2: own space and shit like that. But the crew is
- 35:25Speaker 2: the people that are there when I go back to
- 35:27Speaker 2: the fucking air conditioned Winnebago as Zach would call it,
- 35:30Speaker 2: you know what I mean. And so I think it's
- 35:32Speaker 2: real important, and I think Bill is the one that
- 35:35Speaker 2: put that in me. You know, give these guys the love,
- 35:40Speaker 2: and you know, as long as you don't hamper their day,
- 35:43Speaker 2: entertain them, man, because it's they're fucking they're there all
- 35:46Speaker 2: night long and they have to deal with egos and
- 35:49Speaker 2: assholes and not say anything.
- 35:52Speaker 1: So you know that, you know, and also just like
- 35:56Speaker 1: make it. If you make the environment a family of
- 35:59Speaker 1: people that are having fun, then it makes the job
- 36:02Speaker 1: a blast.
- 36:03Speaker 2: No doubt.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Yeah, especially if it's a comedy.
- 36:06Speaker 1: We're gonna make it. Take a quick break, Michael Mosley,
- 36:09Speaker 1: and then when we come back, we're gonna go through
- 36:11Speaker 1: a little bit of this episode. We don't have to
- 36:12Speaker 1: talk a ton about it because it's it's you know,
- 36:15Speaker 1: it's not it's not our best. It's not our best.
- 36:17Speaker 1: But we'll be right back, and we're back.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Somebody got sirens.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Somebody I'm city.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Mike thought. Mike thought the same thing that Sarah thought.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Mike thought that we were going to take a break, And.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Mike, we take fake break it because there's
- 36:42Speaker 1: nothing to do. We they add the commercials later. Sarah
- 36:47Speaker 1: Chalk when we when she was on, thought we were
- 36:50Speaker 1: gonna have a little downtime to chat off off camera,
- 36:52Speaker 1: if you will, and we had to explain to her
- 36:54Speaker 1: the concept of podcast advertising. GotY that but she you know,
- 37:01Speaker 1: she's Sarah Chalk she's Uh, she's one of a kind,
- 37:05Speaker 1: that gal.
- 37:06Speaker 2: There's nothing like her, one, no thing, nothing.
- 37:12Speaker 1: She's cuckoo pants.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's my kind of cuckoo pants.
- 37:17Speaker 4: Man.
- 37:17Speaker 1: No, it's hilarious. She's hilarious. But I've never I've never
- 37:21Speaker 1: once had any conversation with her that didn't start with
- 37:24Speaker 1: like you were not going to believe what just happened?
- 37:31Speaker 1: All right, So getting into the episode, So, Mike, you've
- 37:34Speaker 1: heard this show. We kind of just kind of talked
- 37:36Speaker 1: through anything that that. We talked through the vague. It's
- 37:39Speaker 1: our last time. We need to savor it. We go
- 37:41Speaker 1: through the plot roughly and then talk about anything we
- 37:43Speaker 1: thought was funny.
- 37:44Speaker 2: I found myself writing a lot today.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Really maybe it's because it's the last one.
- 37:50Speaker 2: And I would really wanted to you know, I paused
- 37:53Speaker 2: it a couple of times to make sure I got
- 37:54Speaker 2: all my thoughts out.
- 37:55Speaker 1: And didn't you did a good job? Then, well, I
- 37:58Speaker 1: don't know.
- 37:59Speaker 2: About a good I did. I did. I did my job.
- 38:02Speaker 2: How about that?
- 38:02Speaker 1: Okay, so there's a cadaver ceremony. I have no idea
- 38:05Speaker 1: if this is a real thing or not.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Start from the beginning.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Oh no, I wanted to just do a plot point,
- 38:11Speaker 1: but go ahead. The small hands are great with the ladies. O. B.
- 38:14Speaker 2: G I. N. Cox and Turk walk the school halls,
- 38:17Speaker 2: trying to predict the student's medical futures. Right right, yes, okay,
- 38:22Speaker 2: So what's the first one.
- 38:23Speaker 1: The first one is that they see traying and they
- 38:27Speaker 1: comment that he has small hands and that he'll be
- 38:29Speaker 1: great with the ladies because he has small way.
- 38:33Speaker 2: And also because he has Nicky Whaling as.
- 38:35Speaker 1: A Yes, he's got Nicki Willing as a girlfriend, so
- 38:37Speaker 1: he's clearly good with the ladies hands, and he's got
- 38:42Speaker 1: small hands for to be an obg in, I guess
- 38:44Speaker 1: that would be a benefit to be an obgy.
- 38:46Speaker 2: I don't know. I have never been to an obg
- 38:48Speaker 2: y N, but.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I think i'd prefer a doctor with small hands.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Would you prefer a doctor with small hands when checking
- 38:54Speaker 2: your rectum area? Yeah?
- 38:57Speaker 1: Why not? I wouldn't prefer a doctor with large hands.
- 39:00Speaker 2: But when you want to be to make sure when.
- 39:04Speaker 1: You want even if he's got small hands, he can
- 39:07Speaker 1: aim a lot.
- 39:07Speaker 2: More searching though. I feel like I feel like he
- 39:10Speaker 2: can hit take around with small hands with big hand,
- 39:13Speaker 2: it's like and and it's like, oh, ship. Yeah, I
- 39:15Speaker 2: feel no.
- 39:17Speaker 1: If I had the choice, I would choose a small
- 39:19Speaker 1: hands for my rectal exam. Okay, okay. Lucy is going
- 39:24Speaker 1: to be in pediatrics because she's taking care of Cole,
- 39:27Speaker 1: who's baby.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Like, right, and she gives him a she gives him
- 39:30Speaker 2: a lollipop.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Turk wants a student to look up to him. He
- 39:33Speaker 1: doesn't have a a what do you call it? Thank you? Michael?
- 39:42Speaker 1: So no one. He's jealous that that Cox has he has.
- 39:48Speaker 2: True. Yeah, and Drew is a great Protegerew.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Seems to be the best doctor. I mean, I think
- 39:56Speaker 1: that's pretty clear, right.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Du the dude a med student, pull it files from
- 40:01Speaker 2: from beds and shit like that.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I know, But Drew seems to be the only character
- 40:06Speaker 1: that I think is going to be a great doctor.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I mean the others, I mean, maybe the Law'll be okay,
- 40:11Speaker 1: but True seems like he's a really good doctor.
- 40:13Speaker 2: You don't think Triang will be a good doctor.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Maybe. I just they're all so jokey and and Bishat's
- 40:20Speaker 1: Luke character, Lucy is so flighty. Everyone seems kind of
- 40:24Speaker 1: all over the place. I mean, if you were going
- 40:25Speaker 1: to pick one of these men students to be your doctor.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Wouldn't you pick Drue?
- 40:29Speaker 2: Yes? Absolutely.
- 40:30Speaker 1: You don't want Cole to do surgery, to do.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Anything, not not at the end, by the end of
- 40:36Speaker 2: this show, I don't want Cole as a doctor on
- 40:39Speaker 2: me at all, to cut at.
- 40:41Speaker 1: All ever, right, exactly, all right. So there's gonna be
- 40:46Speaker 1: this thing called the Cadavers Ceremony where they honor the family.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I'd be interested to know, Joel or Daniel if you
- 40:53Speaker 1: could find out if this is actually a thing. But
- 40:58Speaker 1: I guess you honor the families of the people that
- 41:01Speaker 1: donated cadavers and thank them for the education the young
- 41:08Speaker 1: doctors were able to get from a body from working
- 41:11Speaker 1: on a cadaver. Out of the blue, Denise asked Drew
- 41:16Speaker 1: to get married and or to have a baby. Yeah,
- 41:20Speaker 1: escalating quickly, Michael, don't.
- 41:22Speaker 2: You say zero to one hundred? Real quick?
- 41:24Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 41:25Speaker 7: Yeah. Isn't that kind of the thing that the will
- 41:27Speaker 7: they won't they? Scripts is always so good about the will.
- 41:30Speaker 4: They won't they? And you know, people leaning into each
- 41:32Speaker 4: other and leaning back, and then there's a commitment thing
- 41:35Speaker 4: and then then that spooks people. But yeah, it was,
- 41:39Speaker 4: it was fun.
- 41:40Speaker 2: It was this was but this was crazy, man, like
- 41:42Speaker 2: she went hardcore in this one, like she and you
- 41:45Speaker 2: could tell that she's not playing around like usually Denise
- 41:49Speaker 2: is playing around, and you know when she's talking, you
- 41:54Speaker 2: know when they're talking, when they're I guess it's for
- 41:57Speaker 2: play for them or yeah, I guess that's what it
- 42:00Speaker 2: is like.
- 42:02Speaker 4: Verbal dance kids on a playground where you like hit
- 42:04Speaker 4: the girl over the head of your lunchbox to tell
- 42:06Speaker 4: her you like it.
- 42:07Speaker 2: But then you guys going bug after that, which makes
- 42:10Speaker 2: no sense.
- 42:13Speaker 1: It turns them on this This sort of repartee is
- 42:16Speaker 1: what is their foreplay? You're right, but she comes right
- 42:19Speaker 1: in with let's get married, and then that really freaks out, Uh, Drew,
- 42:24Speaker 1: He's not down with that crazy talk. Cole's cancer is
- 42:27Speaker 1: gone and completely, and even though we learned that he's
- 42:31Speaker 1: back in the Tanning bed already, and Cole really wants
- 42:37Speaker 1: to be Turk's protege.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Well, he has surgeon like qualities, I should say.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Well, because he's similar to the Todd in that he's sort.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Of cocky, self absorbed.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Yes, that is a surgeons stereotype, that they're cocky and
- 42:53Speaker 1: self centered, right.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to be. It's a it's a look
- 42:57Speaker 2: We're going to have somebody on the show who was
- 42:59Speaker 2: a surgeon who did something like three thousand surgeries in
- 43:03Speaker 2: a month. All right, you gotta be a cocky motherfucker
- 43:06Speaker 2: to do that.
- 43:07Speaker 1: That wasn't the number, was it.
- 43:09Speaker 2: It was something in the fucking number, dude. It was
- 43:12Speaker 2: like three thousand, dude, I swear when he said that, shit,
- 43:15Speaker 2: I was like, what do you have a fucking conveyor
- 43:17Speaker 2: belt and it just goes? Did you get body after body?
- 43:21Speaker 9: G Hey, fake doctors, listeners, it's your boy, DJ Danel.
- 43:25Speaker 9: I wanted to offer a quick clarification, so Donald did
- 43:27Speaker 9: hear the right number? It was three thousand, but it
- 43:29Speaker 9: wasn't three thousand surgeries. It was three thousand units of work.
- 43:33Speaker 9: And so I brought this up to Darren and wanted
- 43:34Speaker 9: a clarification. So what was spectacular was that Darren did
- 43:38Speaker 9: three thousands of units of work and a month, whereas
- 43:41Speaker 9: the average for a surgeon is about ten thousand per year. Now,
- 43:45Speaker 9: each surgery has a different assignment for how many units
- 43:48Speaker 9: it's worth based on complexity. Looking back at his log,
- 43:51Speaker 9: he did eighty surgeries in October of twenty twenty three,
- 43:54Speaker 9: so that is what he was referring to it. Eighty
- 43:57Speaker 9: is still a lot of surgeries, but it's not three thousand.
- 43:59Speaker 9: Just wanted to offer a little clarification.
- 44:01Speaker 1: I forgot what did he work on that guy? What
- 44:04Speaker 1: was he was an orthopedic surgeon?
- 44:06Speaker 2: Oh, no, I don't know that. I don't remember.
- 44:09Speaker 1: You forgot what it was. We're gonna We're gonna have
- 44:11Speaker 1: him on because he was pretty amazing. We spoke Donald
- 44:13Speaker 1: and I. This gentleman doctor donated to a charity that
- 44:17Speaker 1: Jake Tapper does every year for for wounded warriors, and
- 44:20Speaker 1: so Donald and I did a zoom call with him,
- 44:22Speaker 1: and he was so interesting and his story was so incredible.
- 44:25Speaker 1: We're like, we got to have you on the show
- 44:26Speaker 1: because we just want to We shouldn't be just doing
- 44:29Speaker 1: this privately. We want to tell you to tell everybody
- 44:31Speaker 1: what you do.
- 44:34Speaker 2: All right.
- 44:35Speaker 1: So then there's a fantasy that Lucy has where there's
- 44:38Speaker 1: a marching band for a different patient named Ron.
- 44:42Speaker 2: No, it's not a fantasy. That's what they that's what
- 44:44Speaker 2: she knows that they're gonna do.
- 44:46Speaker 1: She was, Oh, she was at the rehearsal. Okay, and
- 44:50Speaker 1: and Ron had a vestigial tale, which I guess people
- 44:54Speaker 1: can be born with the tale.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Wasn't that? Wasn't that?
- 44:58Speaker 1: In it was a movie with Jason Alexander.
- 45:00Speaker 2: He has a Yeah, Jason Alley, uh, what's his name? Him?
- 45:04Speaker 2: And Jack black Weed?
- 45:07Speaker 4: Not even about seeing women's Yeah, smaller or something.
- 45:11Speaker 7: Yeah, shallow how movie.
- 45:14Speaker 1: That's what it was, shallow how and he and he
- 45:16Speaker 1: has a tail.
- 45:18Speaker 2: At the end of it. Yeah, and it wags at
- 45:20Speaker 2: the end.
- 45:20Speaker 1: That's so gross, is it?
- 45:24Speaker 2: Why? Because you don't Because you don't have one. There's
- 45:27Speaker 2: somebody out there. And when you said that, ship was like, oh, man,
- 45:31Speaker 2: fuck you, Zach. There's a couple of listeners that were like, man,
- 45:38Speaker 2: Sach's a dick man talk about my tail and I'm gross.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry if you have a tail. I really want
- 45:43Speaker 1: to apologize. I just think canceling people.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Can't listen to tell people he's trying to cancel you.
- 45:54Speaker 1: You sent me on the Instagram stories being like this
- 46:00Speaker 1: is hey, it's me. I want to apologize Tail. My words.
- 46:06Speaker 1: My words were misinterpreted. I did not mean to write
- 46:10Speaker 1: the tail community.
- 46:12Speaker 7: Please are my privacy right now.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna log off. I'm gonna log off all social
- 46:17Speaker 1: media for a little while and take a break and reflect.
- 46:21Speaker 1: I want you all to know that I'm I am,
- 46:24Speaker 1: I am meeting with leaders in the TAIL community, and
- 46:28Speaker 1: I'm educating myself on all things tail.
- 46:33Speaker 2: There are a couple of people who are not happy
- 46:35Speaker 2: with this.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I wonder if there's anyone who I wonder if there's
- 46:37Speaker 1: anyone who can really genuinely wag their tail, like like like.
- 46:41Speaker 2: There's got to be. There's got to be. There's got
- 46:44Speaker 2: to be. If some people can do their eyebrows, some
- 46:48Speaker 2: people can pop their booties.
- 46:49Speaker 1: And Joel, can you look up, if anyone with a
- 46:51Speaker 1: vistage tail can actually wag it, there's got And I
- 46:55Speaker 1: want to say that Joel Noel did come up with
- 46:57Speaker 1: the truth that at the end of the semesters, students
- 47:00Speaker 1: say goodbye to the donors, and this person wrote. My
- 47:03Speaker 1: research found that more than nine out of ten medical
- 47:07Speaker 1: schools mark this occasion with a memorial ceremony. Ceremonies also
- 47:10Speaker 1: take place at schools for other branches of healthcare, such
- 47:14Speaker 1: as osteopathy and physical therapy. Wherever students learn from body donors,
- 47:19Speaker 1: they gather to express their gratitude for a gift that
- 47:22Speaker 1: can never be reciprocated. Well, there you go. So Joelle
- 47:25Speaker 1: found that it's true. While in most humans, the cock
- 47:30Speaker 1: six remains hidden inside the body, where it serves as
- 47:33Speaker 1: a point of muscular attachment and not much more, in
- 47:36Speaker 1: rare instances, infants are born with protuberant tales extending from
- 47:42Speaker 1: this structure. What is this? These tales may contain additional vertebrae,
- 47:48Speaker 1: and disturbingly can even.
- 47:51Speaker 8: Wag Let's take a break, We'll be right back after
- 47:56Speaker 8: these fine words, let's continue on.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Cole decides he really wants to be a surgeon. He
- 48:08Speaker 1: wants to call his practice coal cuts. You said. Turk
- 48:13Speaker 1: says that surgery is long, tedious and boring, like episode
- 48:17Speaker 1: and then he says, like episodes of Entourage that are
- 48:20Speaker 1: about Turtle. I guess this must I do remember Entourage
- 48:25Speaker 1: and and I, and I think I thought Turtle was
- 48:27Speaker 1: very funny. So I disagree with this joke. Watch this
- 48:30Speaker 1: must have been the height of Entourage, because if we're
- 48:32Speaker 1: making Entourage related jokes, Yeah, I watched Hourage.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I watched a lot.
- 48:36Speaker 1: I thought it was really good.
- 48:37Speaker 2: I looked forward. I remember looking forward to that show.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I think it was just particularly because we grew up
- 48:42Speaker 1: and not we grew up but we spent a lot
- 48:44Speaker 1: of time in Hollywood and it was spoofing Hollywood, So
- 48:46Speaker 1: I I I related to it, and I was dating
- 48:51Speaker 1: Mandy at the time when she did an arc on
- 48:54Speaker 1: it as as she was in a movie with Adrian's character. Man,
- 49:00Speaker 1: is that what they did?
- 49:01Speaker 2: Was she an aquaman?
- 49:03Speaker 1: Way, Daniel, you were a background actor and an episode
- 49:06Speaker 1: of Ontage? What's that story? Yes? I was so okay,
- 49:08Speaker 1: let's sorry.
- 49:10Speaker 9: Very briefly, I'm at my sister's Jewish day school. They
- 49:13Speaker 9: had a silent auction where it just looked like they
- 49:15Speaker 9: were auctioning off assigned DVD, but it was actually assigned
- 49:18Speaker 9: DVD in a walk on roll. No one else bid
- 49:21Speaker 9: on it. My mom put like one hundred bucks down,
- 49:23Speaker 9: and so I got to be on an episode of Entourage.
- 49:25Speaker 9: It's the episode Sorry Ari, and I am one of
- 49:27Speaker 9: the junior agents right behind. I can't remember the guy's name,
- 49:31Speaker 9: but he's like the competing agent and he leans in
- 49:34Speaker 9: and he goes, well, by the way, Turtle, all my
- 49:36Speaker 9: assistants loved to fuck, and then you.
- 49:38Speaker 1: See my face right next to him. Wow, fans can
- 49:43Speaker 1: go look for that. What's the name of the episode?
- 49:45Speaker 2: Sorry Ari?
- 49:46Speaker 1: Episode of Sorry, Ari, Sorry, I think so. It's like
- 49:51Speaker 1: it was like Josh Goldstein I think was the name
- 49:53Speaker 1: of the.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Comes in as the as as an agent at one
- 49:57Speaker 2: point too.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that. Daniel, were you a fan of
- 50:00Speaker 1: the show. Definitely? I love the show. Yeah, same kind
- 50:04Speaker 1: of thing.
- 50:04Speaker 9: I grew up around Hollywood, and so seeing all these
- 50:06Speaker 9: places that I knew, I was like, this is you know,
- 50:09Speaker 9: this is my hometown.
- 50:10Speaker 1: And it really was, you know, I never lived that
- 50:13Speaker 1: life in Hollywood of like onsourage stuff, but it was
- 50:16Speaker 1: supposedly Mark Wahlberg's experience, right, so that it was sort
- 50:19Speaker 1: of showing what the life of that of a star
- 50:23Speaker 1: like that, what it was like?
- 50:25Speaker 2: What was his Aquaman? Because I remember what was the
- 50:27Speaker 2: movie that Mark Wahlberg became really famous for, Bogie Knights, Right, that's.
- 50:32Speaker 1: It, Boogie Knights.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that's pretty good.
- 50:36Speaker 2: That's a good fucking movie, dude. That's a fucking good movie.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Dude, that's a great movie. I don't know what his
- 50:40Speaker 1: Aquaman would be. What do you think his Aquaman would be?
- 50:46Speaker 1: Or maybe they were just spoofing the idea.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Of he has a lot of he has a lot
- 50:49Speaker 2: of hits man.
- 50:51Speaker 4: Yeah, as you did the Fighter. He was kind of
- 50:53Speaker 4: The Fighter was really big. Did you get a fighter?
- 50:56Speaker 2: I love the Fighter with him and fucking Batman. She
- 51:00Speaker 2: was dope, all.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, man, right, well go ahead.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Anyway, that show that I just wanted to say that
- 51:08Speaker 2: show was fucking it was. It was a necessity for
- 51:13Speaker 2: me weekly that in Battlestar Galactica.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I remember, okay, yeah, Lucy's trying to rally the troops
- 51:21Speaker 1: to do this. Nobody cares. Drew wants no part of it.
- 51:24Speaker 1: He's dealing with the fact that that there's now a
- 51:26Speaker 1: hole in his dorm room between his and Denise's rooms.
- 51:31Speaker 2: And she wants to live together now.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Because and she really wants to live together, and he's
- 51:36Speaker 1: really flipping out about that. He does not want to
- 51:38Speaker 1: cohabitate with her.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Did you think she was fucking with him or did
- 51:41Speaker 2: you think that this was something I thought she was
- 51:44Speaker 2: fucking with him, and this was something that she was
- 51:47Speaker 2: you know, planning to you know, you know, just to
- 51:52Speaker 2: be crazy, so they I don't know, man, it just
- 51:55Speaker 2: seemed like a big switch for her. Everything everything before
- 51:58Speaker 2: this was I'm so nervous about us being together like this,
- 52:02Speaker 2: and now all of a sudden she's being practical, and
- 52:05Speaker 2: I thought that was weird. Look, we're together, let's live together.
- 52:11Speaker 2: We're gonna have a where she's is so expensive next year,
- 52:19Speaker 2: you know.
- 52:19Speaker 1: But if you're dating a woman and all of a
- 52:21Speaker 1: sudden she's like, let's get married, just kidding, let's have
- 52:23Speaker 1: a baby, just kidding. Oh wait, let's live together. I mean,
- 52:26Speaker 1: you can understand why Drew's a little like whoa, whoa, whoa?
- 52:29Speaker 2: Yeah fuck yeah, But I'm saying it came out of nowhere.
- 52:32Speaker 4: And also just put you know, putting a hole in
- 52:34Speaker 4: a wall, breaking a hole.
- 52:36Speaker 7: Into a wall, that's a pretty seer. I don't know,
- 52:41Speaker 7: suche hammer to a wall.
- 52:43Speaker 4: It's kind of a suspect of move and it's a
- 52:45Speaker 4: weird way to to to bring up the subject of
- 52:49Speaker 4: moving in with your partners to break a wall.
- 52:54Speaker 2: She blames it on she blames it on moisture, and
- 52:56Speaker 2: it's like, bullshit, moisture did this?
- 52:59Speaker 1: But did you know? I mean, in the episode, it's
- 53:01Speaker 1: a reveal that Drew finds the sledge did you put together? Together?
- 53:05Speaker 1: That she had done it earlier on.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Very clear that she had done it.
- 53:09Speaker 1: It was very clear, Well you're smiling, what do you
- 53:11Speaker 1: think do you think it was clear to you that
- 53:13Speaker 1: she had done it?
- 53:14Speaker 4: Oh?
- 53:14Speaker 5: Immediately, I think even in my notes, I was like,
- 53:16Speaker 5: how did she pull this? Like did she go upstairs?
- 53:18Speaker 5: I thought she knocked the guy out upstairs in the
- 53:23Speaker 5: extra while like what the wall to figure it out?
- 53:26Speaker 2: But no, I was.
- 53:28Speaker 5: I was like, she's trying to do something here.
- 53:30Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 53:31Speaker 5: I didn't understand why she was doing it until later,
- 53:34Speaker 5: but I knew she was definitely behind it.
- 53:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I thought it was funny when Drew finds it,
- 53:39Speaker 1: He's like, is this a sledgehammer?
- 53:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 53:43Speaker 5: I love how casual he was about it. They're my
- 53:45Speaker 5: favorite couple. They're so cute.
- 53:46Speaker 2: I was like, I may, that's so fucking cute.
- 53:49Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 53:50Speaker 1: Obviously the show had continued, it would have leaned into
- 53:53Speaker 1: you two, because you guys did have great chemistry together.
- 53:56Speaker 2: It was fun. Yeah, He's like that shit was so
- 53:59Speaker 2: long ago, and it was only one season. I don't
- 54:01Speaker 2: necessarily remember all of it, Guys, be honest with you. You
- 54:05Speaker 2: can say it, Mike, it's all right, don't worry about it.
- 54:07Speaker 7: Well, no, it was a lot of adrenaline.
- 54:09Speaker 1: You know.
- 54:09Speaker 4: It was like it was you know, because we like again.
- 54:12Speaker 4: It was like the first time that and we were
- 54:14Speaker 4: like all there together and we were kind of this
- 54:16Speaker 4: was just a new experience.
- 54:17Speaker 7: So yeah, there was a lot of adrenaline kind of
- 54:19Speaker 7: to it.
- 54:19Speaker 4: And even though you know, we kept our cool and
- 54:22Speaker 4: everything like that, but uh, it was wild. Man. I
- 54:25Speaker 4: haven't seen this stuff in forever, and watching that, watching thirteen,
- 54:28Speaker 4: it was It's crazy. It's crazy because I don't remember
- 54:31Speaker 4: these jokes. I don't remember some of the choices that
- 54:33Speaker 4: I made. Them are kind of cringey. But sometimes I
- 54:36Speaker 4: don't know. It's just it's a it is weird.
- 54:39Speaker 2: You think you did all right, bro? I think he
- 54:42Speaker 2: did career after and before it's pretty good. Bro.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I think you fare you fare best. And everyone's wonderful.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong. It's such a talented group of people.
- 54:52Speaker 1: But in terms of uh, I think who navigated the
- 54:55Speaker 1: tone the best. I think you you win. And that
- 54:57Speaker 1: includes me and Donald, including myself. Just for season nine, Mike,
- 55:03Speaker 1: calm down.
- 55:06Speaker 2: Just season nine.
- 55:07Speaker 4: No, No, all right.
- 55:08Speaker 1: So I did laugh at one line in this whole
- 55:10Speaker 1: episode when Cole says that he can't read old people clocks.
- 55:13Speaker 2: No, I laughed at another line.
- 55:15Speaker 1: You didn't laugh at that.
- 55:17Speaker 2: I did not.
- 55:18Speaker 1: They cut to a They cut to a standard clock,
- 55:20Speaker 1: and Cole, who's trying to be a surgeon, says, I
- 55:23Speaker 1: can't read old people clocks.
- 55:24Speaker 2: He's perfect for surgery. I laughed at she's treating I'm
- 55:30Speaker 2: treating Treng to a Vietnamese year.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, you got it wrong. Treng told her
- 55:39Speaker 1: that it was Vietnamese Valentine's Day. You can get a
- 55:43Speaker 1: company from her.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Right, And he turns and looks at him and goes,
- 55:48Speaker 2: it's not really I laughed very hard at that.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Puts Cole through some sort of bizarre boot camp to
- 55:57Speaker 1: try and talk him out of being a surgeon. He's
- 56:00Speaker 1: spraying catch up on him while he tries to get
- 56:02Speaker 1: the fortune out of a fortune cookie. There's a light
- 56:05Speaker 1: in his face as the drum line comes in. Turk
- 56:07Speaker 1: is really going all out to make sure that Cole
- 56:10Speaker 1: gives up trying to be a surgeon.
- 56:12Speaker 2: He hired a drum line.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Yeah, he definitely had to pay the drum line.
- 56:17Speaker 2: They come in scrubs though.
- 56:18Speaker 1: It's like a it's like a what do you call it?
- 56:20Speaker 1: A basic training for the military. He's trying, you try,
- 56:24Speaker 1: You're like you're like Lucas to distract him. Yes, you're
- 56:29Speaker 1: lou gossiting him.
- 56:32Speaker 2: Well, no, lu Gass Jr. Was really trying to get
- 56:35Speaker 2: them motherfuckers to quit. Quit was he drowned one of them.
- 56:40Speaker 2: He drowned one of them. He drowned, and then he
- 56:44Speaker 2: choked another one out in this movie, like he chokes
- 56:47Speaker 2: a motherfucker out.
- 56:48Speaker 1: I wonder from the military if you're allowed to go
- 56:50Speaker 1: full lou Gossip anymore.
- 56:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 56:59Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Maybe special Forces.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Navy Seals, maybe maybe special Forces. They had a
- 57:06Speaker 1: Navy Seals reality.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Well it's a Special Forces. This wassed to be a pilot.
- 57:10Speaker 2: That's not an easy job.
- 57:11Speaker 1: No, of course, but but uh, they had a I
- 57:15Speaker 1: don't know if you've ever seen it. They did like
- 57:17Speaker 1: a to show how hard it is to become a seal.
- 57:19Speaker 1: They showed seal training in a reality show and it
- 57:22Speaker 1: was it was fucking crazy.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Michael, have you ever done any military training?
- 57:26Speaker 1: Yeah, Michael, you could. You look like you could play
- 57:28Speaker 1: a soldier. You looked you look badass enough.
- 57:32Speaker 4: Yeah, we had to do some gun stuff and like
- 57:34Speaker 4: this show. Years ago, I went, I did Generation Kill,
- 57:37Speaker 4: which was a David Simon thing about the invasion of
- 57:42Speaker 4: Iraq and we went to went to Maputo, Mozambique and
- 57:46Speaker 4: had to shave our heads and hang out with all
- 57:48Speaker 4: of these real like one of the guys is actually
- 57:51Speaker 4: in this. It was and became an actor, but he
- 57:54Speaker 4: was a reco marine and he was so pretty and
- 57:58Speaker 4: that they just put him in front of the camp.
- 58:01Speaker 4: But yeah, some of that stuff. But yeah, some gun stuff.
- 58:04Speaker 4: You guys done gun stuff and like running, like had
- 58:06Speaker 4: to do all this.
- 58:08Speaker 7: You guys have to do that.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Zach loves to shoot guns. I don't necessarily like to
- 58:12Speaker 2: shoot guns.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I did a movie called Going in Style that had
- 58:15Speaker 1: a bunch of gun stuff, and it's always fun to
- 58:17Speaker 1: direct that stuff. And I do enjoy going to the
- 58:21Speaker 1: gun range. I think that that's fun. But I've never
- 58:23Speaker 1: really done much, uh, gun and stuff as an actor.
- 58:27Speaker 2: I've never done much gun stuff as an actor too.
- 58:29Speaker 2: I've done action, but all my action has been fists
- 58:33Speaker 2: and hands and stuff like that, not a lot of
- 58:37Speaker 2: not a lot of blaster fire or anything.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Mosley tell us about Ozark. That was fucking you did
- 58:42Speaker 1: you did nine episodes of that. That was a great show.
- 58:46Speaker 7: Yeah, that was fun. Yeah, yeah, that was that was
- 58:50Speaker 7: it was.
- 58:50Speaker 4: It was you know, the thing about Ozark is traffics
- 58:53Speaker 4: and just sudden violence, like just out of nowhere, some
- 58:56Speaker 4: heed will explode and there's guts everywhere. But then you know,
- 59:00Speaker 4: they called cut and Bateman would just be joking around
- 59:03Speaker 4: and everybody be like cutting it up. At one point
- 59:05Speaker 4: in season two, I'm spoiler. I'm in the basement, like
- 59:09Speaker 4: I think my bait. I got Laura Lenny locked up,
- 59:12Speaker 4: you know, or like tied her up to a chair,
- 59:14Speaker 4: and I'm freaking out and Laura's like, you know, she's
- 59:18Speaker 4: like she's like doing this long monologue and she's looking
- 59:22Speaker 4: at me, and they call cut and the director comes
- 59:23Speaker 4: over to me and he's like, I don't think you
- 59:25Speaker 4: would be smiling during this scene. And I go, what,
- 59:28Speaker 4: I don't. He goes, you were just like smiling. You
- 59:30Speaker 4: were just like looking at Laura Lenny and smiling, and
- 59:32Speaker 4: I just I had no idea, and I go, I
- 59:33Speaker 4: think I was just looking at America's Laura Lenny and
- 59:37Speaker 4: she was like talking to me, and I was just
- 59:39Speaker 4: like and I forgot to like be this in that
- 59:42Speaker 4: moment because I was just so happy to be like
- 59:44Speaker 4: I was just like just staring at this person.
- 59:46Speaker 7: You know. It was a fun show.
- 59:48Speaker 1: That was great. I had Jason did such a fantastic
- 59:50Speaker 1: job and uh and I really thought it was excellent.
- 59:55Speaker 2: I don't think anybody had ever seen a character like
- 59:57Speaker 2: that before, a character from a character that was so
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: sneaky and so conniving and so like and and had
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: a wife that was and I only know this because
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: I want.
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: More gangster than she was than he was.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but could be but still could be so calm
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: in any situation, no matter what it was. It could
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: be a freaking gun in his head and he'd be like, okay,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: now listen, this is why.
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: Yeah, give me two seconds, give me two minutes. Just
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: give you two minutes.
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: It's like that's what was always about it.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: He's like, if you just give me like one second,
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: you know. And he would just always talk himself out
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: of this stuff. It was a really cool character.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think I've seen that before.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: It was a great show. All right, we when to
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: say a quick break and then we'll finish up. We'll
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: be right back after this message from our sponsors, and
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: we're bad.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: Girl a girl.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Okay, So Turky gets called to do surgery on Teddy Bears.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: That doesn't go well, No, it does not, But it's
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: unfair too. He freaks the kid out by making him
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: go up against.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I mean, you're a horrible, horrible teacher. Let's just say that.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: I mean freaks the kid out, Like why would you
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: start easy? But when you're going to be surgeonist if
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: you can beat the cheap of surgery.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I know, but you're such a dickhead of a teacher, Like,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: even if the kid's annoying.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: I would rather be a dickhead of a teacher than
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: an absentee cast mate. Zach, where were you? This old season?
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Cuts deep? That cuts deep the last episode, on the
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: last episode, on the last episode of the rewatch podcast,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you are really bringing in some like deep cuts of
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: do you want to talk to Michael Moseley about how
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you felt that you weren't invite I did to cast
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: gatherings the Mike resentment?
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Is it because I called you Winslow? Is it because
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: I was calling Winslow?
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: Winslow? You didn't know my name?
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: This party for people who.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Wasn't because you heard about the night I got drunk
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: and fucking was walking up Laurel Canyon home.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: That was amazing.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: No, I didn't hear that story.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Even once someone who was gonna get so drunk they'd
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: walk up Laurel Canyon Boulevard at his party.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I was pissed.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: You know, we got you guys in all seriousness, did
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: you guys party and stuff? Because when we were when
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: we were the young, when we were the young, you didn't.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: No, we never really did. That's because you know, you know,
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: we've just gotten on the show and my partner at
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: the time, we just moved out to la and we
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: had this tiny, little two bedroom. We're like, well, you know,
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: I'm on a show. Now, that's a very Hollywood thing.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: We start, we have like a Christmas party or whatever.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: We would bite people over. I'm like socially fucking clumsy
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: as hell. And I was like on set and I
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: was like.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I don't know, and I'm like kind of tacking.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: Are you guys around on Saturday?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: If I threw a party?
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: Would that be a thing? And you know, and you
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: guys were like, you know, you guys were kind of intimidating.
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: I didn't really know.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden, Rap shows up and
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: he's like Mosley's throwing a fucking party. And then he
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: was and you started telling you like did you get invited?
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: And no, no, and then ever and I was like
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: so embarrassed. I was like, no, it wasn't like that.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: I was kind of just setting out feelers to see
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: if a party was something anybody was interested in. And
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: it was really funny. And then the next day then
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: I went and got flyers and they started handing them out,
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: and I was like, did I come to the party
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: of beard Cake? You did come to the party?
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: You fucker say, this is what I'm talking about.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: He handed down flyers. Dude, everyone, that's what I feel like.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: I feel like that guy. I feel like that guy
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: right now. You see that Buffalo wild wings commercial? Well
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: did he get four extra wings? Yeah, that's what I
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: feel like right now.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: So, Michael, you handed out flyers and I came to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: the party. Was als and Janny at the party?
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: Sure, Alison Janey?
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: No, not at all a little bit.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I remember the party with Alison Janny. I wonder if
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: that was your party? All right, Well, Donald, this this
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: really kind of throws a wrench in your idea of
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: not being invited, since Michael made flyers.
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: Yeah, I think you were there that day.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Donald.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: It was like probably was a three day thing, like
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: from Wednesday till like a Friday, like a Saturday party
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: like Wednesday. It was like.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: It was like a Coachella. It was a total weekend
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: a party.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Guys.
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: We rented a boat.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: It was a whole thing. It was wine tasting, it
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: was a whole You.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: Went fishing, you fight Savice, I see, we camp.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: It was like it was like good Coachella. We camped
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: on his front lawn.
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: Everybody got iPods.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Everybody got iPods too. Wow.
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: Yeah, little swag bags and everything.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Okay, So getting through this this episode, Ben's son Eric
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: hated him. He doesn't want any special tribute for him,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: and Todd is making erotic novelty wines that they're Sulivan
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Dong shardan Gay teeny Weeny Peach creatio so stupid. But
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: shardon Gay is.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Somebody who ever pitched that in the writer's room was
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: like Sharton Gay.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: I bet you, I bet you. If the right person
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: made and marketed Shardon Gay, it could do really really well.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: What color is it?
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Well the label has rainbows, for sure, but it's just
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: regular shardonnay color, but it's just marketed the right person.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: When I was living in Queens and a Story of Queens,
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: there's this totally unfortunate restaurant name. It was the most
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: unfortunate name. It was called wine Gasm.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: It was the.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: Worst name for a restaurant. I was like, Oh, somebody
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: put got letters put that on their in big on
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: their building and called it Wineasm. And I was just like, oh,
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: that's so weird.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: You know. There was a committee of people that had
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: a conversation with that person and was like, I don't know, dude,
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: like windasm, yo, I'm doing it, doing it. Oh.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I did laugh when when Michael when Drew says that
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: he had to go to seventeen horse funerals, that was
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: kind of funny. Then Drew, this is weird. Drew asked
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Cox how to dive in and set aside his fears
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: and really just let go. And then Cox He's like, no,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: not another sensitive person asking me for advice.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Oh that was that's weird.
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: It was.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: It was a reference to JD. The final little reference
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: to JD, like don't be a JD, don't fall in love, No,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: don't come to me with your whiny emotional sensitivity problems.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: I appreciate that.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Come on, bro? Like I got everybody got issues, everybody
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: got problems, you know what I mean?
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but you don't. You wouldn't. Let if someone came
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: to you for advice, you would, you would give it
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: to them.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: But I don't want to it just like cocks, same thing.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Nobody wants to be the freaking nobody wants to have
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: that all unloaded on them. But we do it. I
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: mean do it because we're good people.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I'm a really good pep talk giver. You come to me, Yeah,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: but you.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: Do it because you're a good person. You don't do
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: it because you fucking want to. It's like, fuck shit,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: all right, I'll solve it with you, then let's go.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: They're not doing it because.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: You're not sitting there saying, hey, listen to me, world,
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: come to me with your ship please.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Sometimes it's frustrating when the person you're giving advice to
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: over and over again isn't making any changes and they're
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: just bitching. That's frustrating. But but I feel like for
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: people that are actually going to take action, I can
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: give a hell of a pep talk one audience. I've
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: started a hotline.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: Here we go. This is a mistake. This is a mistake.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Call me with your problems.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Hey, did you notice this?
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: What is it an or ring?
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Why am I showing it to you? If it's not
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: an or ring?
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: You're a little bit pixelated. But uh, but yeah, that's awesome.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: How long have you had it?
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Two days? It's fun, right, it's really cool with the
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: sleep ship.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I love the sleep Ship.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: The sleep shits cool.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Except when you when you wake up and you're like, fuck,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: I didn't get enough rem sleep. I get very competitive
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: with myself, do you. Yeah, Like I want to do
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: ten thousand a day?
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: You ten thousand? It does it?
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Track track the bike as good as attracts steps. But
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: in New York City it's so easy to get ten
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: thousand steps to day. You just walk around. In LA
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: it's harder because you got to like, you got to
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: plan it. You gotta do it.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: You got to go to walk.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you walk or a hike or or you know,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: because it's such a you know, you got to do
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: it in New York. Okay, just by the time you
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I mean I do go to the gym here, but
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: also by the time you run a few errands walk around,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: meet some friends. You'll hit it. I ride my bike
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: a lot here, so I'm not sure that it tracks
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: cycling as well as it tracks steps. But I don't know,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: but I love it.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Are you in the nightlife?
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: What do you mean? That was a non secutor? But
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: what do you mean?
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Are you out and about?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I'm going to dinners and stuff. I'm
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: not like going to the CLERB. There's the less go
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: to the club I go to. I go to the theater,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I go to MSG Lately, I go to dinners.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Michael Mosley, when's the last time you were in the CLERB?
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: I don't even remember.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: No, not much of a club guy, Joelle Tooell do
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: you go to the club?
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: No?
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: If I'm in Chicago, I will go to the club
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: where people appreciate good house music.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Uh, and the vibe is dope. Here in LA it's weird.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: Everybody's like. I came to be seen and to be
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: looked at and look at other people. And that's I
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: can do that.
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: I't like.
- 1:10:01Speaker 5: There something I gotta like clubs in l A for
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: a Chicago club myself, DJ.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Daniel, DJ Jannel, You must go to the club. You
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: gotta go to the club in Brooklyn. Too old for
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: the club now, No, there's you don't.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: Know how to freaking rock the crowd. We did the
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: live show with you, we saw ye.

- 1:10:23Speaker 9: and I think that was the last time I was
- 1:10:25Speaker 9: in the club. I was also playing, so that was
