- 0:15Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh, let's
- 0:17Speaker 1: go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well, Thank you.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Mark.
- 0:23Speaker 2: From what you describe, it sounds like the Sunday Morning
- 0:27Speaker 2: talk show, especially with George Stephanopolis, is like the View
- 0:31Speaker 2: only on Sunday. And I have to ask number one,
- 0:35Speaker 2: we know he's not a true journalist, and number two,
- 0:38Speaker 2: why don't they follow the lead of CBS and just
- 0:41Speaker 2: not renew his contract?
- 0:44Speaker 1: George Sanopolis, the I don't know, he's convinced the ABC
- 0:48Speaker 1: top people, of the Disney people that he is the
- 0:51Speaker 1: most connected guy in the democratic world, that he's a
- 0:54Speaker 1: powerful force there. They I don't know how he's convinced
- 0:57Speaker 1: him of this, but somehow they fell for it, and
- 1:00Speaker 1: they're just afraid to fire him. At some point they
- 1:03Speaker 1: actually will. You know, you got the View the ABC
- 1:08Speaker 1: Sunday Morning this week with George Stephanopolis. They're all the
- 1:11Speaker 1: same things, just different. You know, one is the low
- 1:13Speaker 1: IQ Show. The view one is the high IQ Show.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But you watch the Sunday Show on ABC, you won't
- 1:20Speaker 1: know what's going on. They actually say I saw them
- 1:23Speaker 1: in a bunch of Sunday shows. They've actually said the
- 1:25Speaker 1: phrase with inflation raging, there's no raging. Inflation three percent?
- 1:31Speaker 1: It was nine percent under Biden. You never mentioned it.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Under Biden, you never heard about it. It was triple
- 1:38Speaker 1: what it is now now you get this word affordability.
- 1:41Speaker 1: This is the crisis affordability. We had the worst inflation
- 1:45Speaker 1: under Joe Biden in history. Did you ever hear them
- 1:47Speaker 1: use the word affordability? Never even mentioned it. They've never
- 1:50Speaker 1: mentioned the word till now. Let's go to Bruce in
- 1:53Speaker 1: West Milford. Bruce, how you doing?
- 1:55Speaker 3: Hey?
- 1:56Speaker 4: Mark Nice saget it Listen. I live in West Milford,
- 1:58Speaker 4: about seven miles away.
- 1:59Speaker 1: As dead. Somebody's chasing you. Why are you talking so fast? Oh?
- 2:03Speaker 4: Good? On my work. We live about seven miles from
- 2:06Speaker 4: Derek Jeters ol Clomo wants.
- 2:08Speaker 1: To buy it Derek jeters old house.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Yeah, the one he just sold for fourteen million dollars
- 2:13Speaker 4: or something.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Where's that in Greenwville, Lke, New York.
- 2:17Speaker 4: It's right on the border. Anyway I want to say
- 2:19Speaker 4: about I was watching the TV on Westfield, all the
- 2:21Speaker 4: snap people picking up their they all got brand new
- 2:24Speaker 4: SUVs and everything. I can't understand it. Where do I
- 2:26Speaker 4: go wrong?
- 2:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't believe that Andrew Cromo's still you.
- 2:30Speaker 1: He's got He's looking to buy this house for fourteen May.
- 2:32Speaker 1: These are rumors, just rumors, no no verification of that.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I can't fixture Andrew Cromo living way up there. But
- 2:38Speaker 1: let's go to Don in New York City. Don. How
- 2:40Speaker 1: you doing?
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:42Speaker 4: Hello, Mark, wondering whatever it became of Jonathan Schwartz.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Jonathan Schwartz is alive and well. I saw him the
- 2:49Speaker 1: other day. One of the greatest radio show hosts ever
- 2:53Speaker 1: in history. His Sunday show for many, many years legendary.
- 2:58Speaker 1: He's retired now but looks good and it's still still around.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And glad you remember him. That was one of the
- 3:05Speaker 1: greatest radio hosts ever. Nobody better on Sinatra, no better
- 3:09Speaker 1: musicologists in the world, and no better storyteller. He could
- 3:13Speaker 1: out due Jean Shepherd or any of them. Let's go
- 3:17Speaker 1: to uh Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing yo?
- 3:21Speaker 3: How you doing, Mark? You know every election there's a
- 3:25Speaker 3: PSA that floats around before every election it says you
- 3:28Speaker 3: run out of every five kids are going. Yeah, that's
- 3:32Speaker 3: not even boats. They have now a new category called
- 3:35Speaker 3: food insecure.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that is the dumbest word. You're not supposed to
- 3:41Speaker 1: say hungry anymore. You know, we have our hunger th
- 3:44Speaker 1: on battling hunger. You're not supposed to say. You're supposed
- 3:47Speaker 1: to say food insecure. It's the dumbest phrase. Like at
- 3:54Speaker 1: some point it's like a flood victim. You can't say
- 3:56Speaker 1: flood victim. There, dryness insecure, food insecure? What the hell
- 4:02Speaker 1: does that mean? Let's go to Margaret in Westchester. Margaret,
- 4:05Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 4:07Speaker 5: I'm doing well?
- 4:08Speaker 4: Yes, Margaret, I really like to speak.
- 4:11Speaker 5: Is it marks them owd?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Let me check, yes it is okay.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Uh, I just have several things to say. Things are
- 4:20Speaker 5: so mixed up and people only check things before they
- 4:24Speaker 5: started talking, And if they weren't jealous of each other,
- 4:28Speaker 5: things would not be as bad as they are if
- 4:31Speaker 5: everyone just concentrates on what they're really supposed to do.
- 4:36Speaker 5: And I'm wanting to say hunting you for a long time,
- 4:39Speaker 5: it's just a matter of concentration, figuring things out, being respectful,
- 4:45Speaker 5: being respectful.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Where do you live in Westchester?
- 4:51Speaker 5: I live on the Tellam near Rochelle Border. Oh, very
- 4:54Speaker 5: nice complex. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 1: There is a lot of seniors there.
- 4:59Speaker 5: Many seniors, many young children, and a view of the
- 5:02Speaker 5: water of Long Island. Sound.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Oh there you go, like near Premium Point.
- 5:07Speaker 5: Yes, yes, really nice and.
- 5:10Speaker 1: All you've seen is there. It's kind of a lot
- 5:12Speaker 1: of wild parties and stuff like that.
- 5:14Speaker 5: No, No, very nice things by gone on Halloween and everything.
- 5:19Speaker 5: All nice things, all really nice things. Yeah, and you
- 5:24Speaker 5: do a lot of good things, and just we have
- 5:27Speaker 5: to just get things together and let people realize what
- 5:31Speaker 5: they're doing and do what they're supposed to do with
- 5:33Speaker 5: their job.
- 5:34Speaker 1: So what you're saying is we have to do what
- 5:37Speaker 1: we're supposed to do, and what we're supposed to do,
- 5:39Speaker 1: we should just go do. Is that what you're.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Saying exactly exactly?
- 5:43Speaker 1: That's a good All right, Thanks for calling necessalily a
- 5:47Speaker 1: nice woman there, Margaret. All right, So everybody remember that
- 5:50Speaker 1: whatever it is you do, make sure you do it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't know what that means now. Every day I
- 5:57Speaker 1: make up to do list. They used to have it
- 6:00Speaker 1: on a piece of paper, and now it's on the phone.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It's an app with your to do list. Every day
- 6:05Speaker 1: make up this is all the things I need to
- 6:07Speaker 1: do today. Then at the end of the day, I
- 6:11Speaker 1: see I did none of them. This is, you know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: the good thing about having on an app, because the
- 6:16Speaker 1: old way you had to like rewrite it every day.
- 6:18Speaker 1: This way you just leave it there on the app. Now,
- 6:21Speaker 1: a very wise guy that once said, because you probably
- 6:24Speaker 1: do this too, stop with the two do list. Don't
- 6:27Speaker 1: make the two do list. You're never going to do it.
- 6:30Speaker 1: What you should do at the end of every day,
- 6:32Speaker 1: at the end of the day, make a list of
- 6:34Speaker 1: what you did. Make a list of what you did
- 6:37Speaker 1: at the end of the day, and it'll start to
- 6:39Speaker 1: embarrass you a little and you can't think of anything.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So try that for a while. It actually works. Hey,
- 6:43Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin, not with us this week. Hopefully you'll be
- 6:46Speaker 1: back next week. But when we come back, the brilliant
- 6:49Speaker 1: columnist Liz Peak will be with us next on seven
- 6:52Speaker 1: to ten wor
