- 0:14[SPEAKER_01]: Can I blame Michael Caspio for this?
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: Can I blame Bob Connelly for this?
- 0:17[SPEAKER_02]: Can I put on a zebra shirt and just go out there?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: Scratch, claw, up against the wall.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_03]: Can't explain it while I'm feeling right now, guys.

- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: eight one eight six four three seven two two seven second let's burn show i'm your host michael kustia journal my co-host here in the rancher studio in Los Angeles at least a there to a hello everybody hello uh... big shout to everyone joining us on a on a late wednesday nights uh... terminal a says finally catch in one uh... hopefully the whole thing live it's still miserably hot here yes it is
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's very hot.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: It was like a hundred degrees today.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: At one point, I saw where we are.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was a hundred and one with a feels like a hundred and six.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: See, and this is like, this is what I'm used to coming from the valley.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: But in the valley, like, I don't know, 106 hits different.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: Then, I mean, I guess everywhere now, the humidity here, everywhere is two absurd levels, where it's not the normal, like, we get 106 occasionally.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: But this is not that.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't live in Florida for a reason.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it is absolutely brutal, trobob of the chat says 92 in Passo Robles.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's a lot.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: At 830.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that is rough, rough, rough, rough.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm ready to the chat so they still miss the old intro.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: The old intro still exists on the audio side of things.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: The sound that's in the YouTube is just the,
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's just the sound for the countdown.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: So if you listen to us on Spotify, you're like, what are you talking about?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same intro as always.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: So it exists there at least.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: At least a lot of stuff to get to in this episode.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start with the new AP poll.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: Outs on the
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: Tuesday morning our last episode recorded Monday night.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about how it wouldn't be out until Tuesday morning anyways because of the long college football holiday weekend.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: Essek is continued to be number 14 in the AP poll.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: No one in front of them lost, so this isn't too surprising.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Ohio State State number one.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Indiana is up one spot to number five.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Oregon is down four spots to number six.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: Penn State, up a couple does number 16, Washington down to number 19, and the Bruins across town.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: I were receiving seven votes.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how that continues if it does for them going forward.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and Boisey State not in the poll, which I think is absolutely ridiculous.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: This is the thing, like I know people hate that we have preseason polls.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mind them.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: I know people hate that we shouldn't be ranking teams at this stage of the season and they're probably right, but usually I don't mind it.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: What I hate is the way that voters
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: vote.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I hate.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: I hate that anyone could have watched that game between Boise Stadium Oregon and felt like Boise State wasn't one of the top 25 teams in the country.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: I would wager that the vast majority of teams between 25 and 15 in this poll right now could not go to Watson and play within a touchdown or have Oregon tied in the fourth border.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: But no, because they lost, they can't
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: rise.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: They can't go up from from not being ranked.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's ridiculous.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: The weird thing too is like Boise state is a pretty strong consensus as the the group of six representative in the college fall playoff.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: they, they have hype going their way, but they just still can't, uh, foster that in the boat.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's weird, but uh, real quick, wrong.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: The long time left in the season for that to change.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: Wrong, I'm already asked.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think Michigan gets their win taken away?
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, they fill out of the poll.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: Um, the answer is already no.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_02]: The incident of a lay has,
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: confirm that there is no mechanism by which the result of a game can be overturned.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: So the the Mac appealed that appeal will go nowhere.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: Also, I would urge you to head over to my TikTok, Hang on a Troy or what is it?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: Is it Hang on a Troy?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even sure if my TikTok is is that.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: I had over to TikTok and find me and go look at the video that I posted today because somebody posted a video from the end zone, from the far end zone, looking at the entire play with the game clock, the stadium clock in view and it becomes very apparent that in reality, in real time
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: on the field, there was a second left, it's a tiny, tiny margin, but we had on TV was a technology issue that has resulted in a, in a, in a change in the incident of a lay that could impact any team going forward where they say that they will have refs, use the broadcast sync for determining
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: which just means that they would rather have deal with the potential milliseconds of non-sync from the broadcast rather than have this whole controversy again.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: But it's pretty clear to me that there was a second left.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like I know we were all mad and rightful, but the evidence has now come out that would indicate to me that there was a second left.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think the question is, how does it feel that you'll be able to eat for free in our brand now that you're carrying water from Michigan?
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: Go check out Alicia Stickdog.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: Also Jeff Sagerin.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: Is it fun?
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's planted his flag that Michigan is on one and Western Michigan is one and no, I love to see that.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: The new depth chart has dropped ahead of SC and Louisiana.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: Dick game store is listed as a backup now to Gda have a series.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Dick game store of course, a Louisiana native going up against the school of his native.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: states, if you will, league and Riley said he may place some this week, but we'll see how practice goes.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: Braille and Shelby has moved to the backup loop, moved to backup loop, way full instead of Kim Crawford, who's now backing up, backed up by Zarya Fisher.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Marquise Gallagos listed behind Christian Pierce and an or with Madden Reardon instead of
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: who is injured against Fresno State, Long Snapper, Dylan Black is not on the Dept chart.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't dressed for the first two weeks.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: Luke Brown is now the starting Long Snapper, U.S.E.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: signed U.A.B.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Long Snapper, Caleb Moser on Wednesday.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: At least, I think I speak for everybody involved.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: This, you would hope is the only time we ever talk about Long Snappers on this podcast.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: I did not realize that Dylan Black, U.S.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's starting long snacker.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: Snapper had not played in the first two games, which is a good thing, because Luke Brown obviously has been doing a fine job in that role.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, Caleb Moser, welcome to Los Angeles.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_02]: I hope you enjoy your time here.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: I hope I never have to say your name again.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: I feel back as like the best long snappers in the world.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: should just be anonymous.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: Because if they're anonymous, then they're doing their job.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's how it works.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, you can stay anonymous and head over to my book, and start the football season with something that feels like it can't miss.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Wednesday night was perfect because there was a a see lock of the season.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you could it was perfect time to go take advantage of the my bookie promotion that we have with Ran of Troy where my bookie put out whether or not
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: the seahawks would raise the championship banner no longer available now because the game has already gone on but lots of win-loss totals over at my book you can head over there ahead of Thursday night's Niners ram scheme and of course all the action on Saturday.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: including the Trojans and the Raging Cajans at the Colosseum.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: Sign up at my book, you with promo code, ROT.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's rot, ROT, and start your season off with a win that on anything anytime anywhere, it must be 21 plus 18 plus in select jurisdictions.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Terms and conditions apply gambling problem, called 1-800 gambler, or visit 1-800 gambler.net for free.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: Confidence will support available 24-7.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: At least you'll let's get into it.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: USC and Louisiana Lock-In-Horns, 8 PM,
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: on the big 10 network.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: At least when I see it join the big 10 a couple years ago, we spent a whole off season doing a big 10 minute.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I had a lot of fun researching all that kind of stuff.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: We learned that the Unibommer went to Michigan.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like that kind of we learned all sorts of fight songs.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: That sort of sorts of very fun to learn We had fight songs the origin of fight songs.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Why is the origin of what the fuck guys?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like all these things we learned and so we don't get to have Opportunities for S.C. to play new teams very often, but
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: The Trojan's play in the Louisiana Raging Cajans on Saturday night for the first time ever.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: So if you will, this is going to be a raging cage in couple of minutes where I wanted to share some thoughts about Louisiana.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, it is the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: They used to be the University of South Eastern Louisiana.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: Then it was Louisiana Lafayette.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: They've dropped the Lafayette when it comes to sports there.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: Just Louisiana, Louisiana, the Louisiana Rage and Cages.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: They got the name Rage and Cages.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: In the 1960s, during the team being, you guessed it, predominantly Cagin.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it is a roster that has been predominantly local.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, probably akin to like a like a BYU that, um, BYU has a roster that is very, I'll be yes because it's an LDS school, right?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Louisiana in the Bayou.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Caged in school, Caged in players, same thing.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: So they're the Raging Cageds.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Their mascots are interesting, because they don't have an actual mascot mascot, but they've had several like mascots over the years.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: At one point they used to be the Bulldogs.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: They were the Bulldogs along with Louisiana Tech, who stole the Bulldogs, and when they changed to the Raging Cageds, who's they dropped the Bulldog, they've had random.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: They got great, by the way.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, thoroughly, they've had Bulldog mascots over the years, even still after being called the Reagan Cagions, but they've had multiple animated mascots, which maybe should have done more research into what an animated mascot means.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: But this includes, quote, the fabulous Cagion chicken.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: From 1982 to 1999, followed by cayenne, an anthropomorphic cayenne pepper, which was a mascot until 2010.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Why isn't no longer the mascot?
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: That sounds awesome.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: It does.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: It does.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Head coach Michael de Sormo for the raging caigens.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: I saw that name the Sormo and I'm like, I love horse racing.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if he's related to Kent and the other guys in the in the de Sormo family looked it up.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, distant cousins.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: Head coach Michael de Sorrow, distant cousins, the three-time Kentucky Derby winning Jockey Kent de Sorrow.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: Can we just appreciate the fact that Louisiana's head coach?
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: Is has the most terrible has the most stereo typical it's beautiful name ending.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's beautiful.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's beautiful.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to do a segment hero is going to ask you Questions about the makeup of the roster and I was going to set the line it over under five and a half and then have you guess the number of names in the roster that ends in X
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: And you found none.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately, it's under.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's a receiver named Babino.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: What's your name?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: A beautiful cage in the name.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Babino.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: But there's only one.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: But Michael DeSomer, the head coach.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Famous alums who have been raging cages at Richard Simmons.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, he did graduate from Florida State, but he he started at Louisiana Lafayette.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Frank Ocean attended ULO as well.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Former NFL players who played at Lafayette include Jake the Lome, of course.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Brandon Stokeley, Ike Taylor, and Charles Pena Tillman.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Sayon Winner, Yankee Great, Ron Getrie.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, went to Louisiana, Lafayette, along with Legendary Cubs Backup Catcher, Paul Bacco.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: Legendary Bacco Catcher.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, in my childhood, Legendary Bacco Catcher is an income's history for me as it growing up.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: Sandy Martinez, Paul Bacco, Hank White, and Re-Blogo.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the dudes.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Celebrity Chef, Paul Proudham.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: Am I seeing that name, right?
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know who this is, so.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Google this.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: Will I recognize him?
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you will.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: You will see his face.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, oh, I know that guy.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: I know that guy.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, cool.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of cage and cooking and whatnot.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: Not emeralogy, I see, but not like, you know.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: probably is met emerald i would guess uh the nineteen sixty nine mr. america winner june thford went to louisian alafayette but only for a freshman season because she studied alafayette which was then the university of southeastern louisianna to train under famous trampoline coats Jefferson Hennessy
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that is a sentence I had to look up what a trampoline coach is my proudest Google.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guessing that's for like the In gymnastics.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, tramp gymnastics.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm just the dumbass apparently But he was the trampoline coach for team USA
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of cool.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Good for him.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the, here's the raging cage and fight song.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: Are you ready for this?
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Hold on.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: Can we just talk about just address the, the, the elephant in the room, which is bad you're being so restless.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: He literally keeps moving my desk like he keeps sitting up and then, and then, and then flopping back to the point where he moves my desk.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: It is the, the region.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: Badger.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's what he has.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the rating Cajun's fights up.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: The name of it.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: Raging Cajun's fights up.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Original.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: Very original.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Very to the point.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: Fight on Cajun's fight on to victory.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds familiar.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: For the red and white, we will sing of triumphant glory for our team tonight.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: You will hear the
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: So let's give a yell, are you?
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Hustle up and bustle up and fight on the victory, go UL.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: I am going to give the Region Cajun's fight song Major Credit for actually rhyming and for actually being in some sort of meter, which was apparently not a requirement of many big 10 fight songs.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: So give it up to them.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: Give them a yell, are you?
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: to fight on to victory.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know that there's that tint and ambulation, the ringing, the tingling, the jingling of the bells.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the raging cage and spikes on.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I looked it up.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: There have been 17 trodans to play football for USC who have hailed from Louisiana.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: Are you looking at the rundown right now?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: I am looking at the rundown.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: OK, so then I won't ask you the 17.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I'll run through some of these, of course, Legendary Rosebow winning quarterback, John David Booty, Legendary U.S.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: He running back, Joe McNight, Jekim Stewart, Booby Feaster, currently on the roster.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Legendary could have what could have been, what could have been,
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, greedy vans, good old greedy vans.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Albert Rotto from the USA punner.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, there's a bunch of dudes who are the 17.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: He birds, to learn and Mac bird, but no stone.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: Two birds, both with three, three letter first names.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of like it.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they had to have been related.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: I hope.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: They played with in a couple years if each other.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: They had been related.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then Ellis Hansel, he's so hot right now.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: Is there something I'm not getting?
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, the people get it.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, how good is Louisiana Phil Steele as predicting him to win the Sun Belt?
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: West, last season, the Rage and Cagions went six and seven.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: They were 98th and FBI week one.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: They went to host Lamar from the FCS and they won 287.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: Um, let's talk about the Louisiana offense led by quarterback lunch windfield, the greatest name in the history of college football.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: If it's not booby-feaster, it's lunch windfield.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's a beautiful name.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: 1555 yards passing last year, 11 touchdowns, seven interceptions passed a rating of a buck 29.6.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Last year against Lamar, 16 of 2289 yards, two interceptions, no touchdowns.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: But to have 84 yards rushing, he's so one to keep an eye on, because this was a,
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: passing attack that was atrocious last year for Louisiana as a team, 120 verse and passing, 128th and completion percentage, 127 and passer rating, 118th and interceptions, Walker Howard and Daniel Beal were utterly terrible combining for one touchdown and seven interceptions.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: Long twin fields took over the starting job.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: He was significantly better.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: All those numbers I mentioned before path to rating of 129.6.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: But still inconsistent still has a lot of room to grow, but where he sort of excels, and
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: is running the football, 667 yards, last season, he had 84 in the season opener against Lamar.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, the other question about Louisiana's offense is who is going to catch the football from lunch windfield.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: There's lots of injuries, top wide receiver Shelton Samson, former
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: He started the game against Loire, left pretty immediately.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: Sofmore received for Landland and Strother has also missed time as well.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: And so Tydens, Kaden Jensen, sort of the number one target right now.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: He had five catches for 77 yards in week one against Lamar.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: Running game wise, we mentioned Lunchwinfield being successful.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a running game with a lot of depth and versatility.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: which I think makes them an interesting challenge for the Trojans, especially compared to the first two opponents.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: 31st in Russia in 2025, not only can lunchwin feel provide a lot of bite to the Russian attack, of course, but they return sophomore Stephen Blanco, an ad freshman Darrell Smith and JJ Garner in addition to Howard Transfer, Anthony Reagan, Anthony Reagan, former
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: FCS Freshman All-American couple years ago with the Howard Bison, Darrell Smith, a really good last week against Lamar, two rushing touchdowns, 84 yards as well to match London Twinfield, but he did leave with an injury.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, injury is sort of the name of the game for the Rage and Cagions on offense, but
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: We're thoughts on how this defense of the Trojans can prepare for a Louisiana offense that is very different from the last two that S.C. is facing the last two weeks.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: S.C. has had success plenty of success with the first team defense, but this is a different challenge.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: How do you expect them to be able to fare?
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this is a true running quarterback, a little anecdote from the college football 27 league.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: We have hit our first off season, I'm at Wake Forest, and Lunchwinfield was one of the quarterback transfers that I was briefly looking at.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: I say briefly, because, um,
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'll do respect to lunch, but I will never sign a pure runner archetype, ever, ever, ever, because that's all I have on my current roster, and it ain't it in the game.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: It may be it for Louisiana this year, in real life, because real life is not the game.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think lunch is the X factor here, a running quarterback is always somebody
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: even the most well-prepared defenses fits because there's a certain amount of stuff that you can't plan for when you have a running quarterback like lunchwin field.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the, that is the, the big thing, what it requires is a lot of discipline, especially from U.S.E.'
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: 's past rushers, and I, and this, this is always the big question that I have for U.S.C.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: because they tend to have aggressive past rush.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: and that ten that is often why they get burned by running quarterbacks because they want to get to the quarterback so bad it opens the door for the quarterback to take off and run one guy misses and suddenly he's off to the races and he's getting big chunk yardage.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: That is something that lunchman field is capable of of doing.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: And something that USC will have to definitely be keeping an eye out for throughout this game.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think USC will need to prepare overly, overly hard for the passing game this time around.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: Because I don't know that Louisiana will ask lunch to throw the ball a ton if they don't have to.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: So it's incumbent upon USC to put Louisiana in passing situations as much as possible.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_02]: This is definitely a team where you want to force them to throw the ball because that is not something that they want to have to do.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of inconsistency there.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he threw two picks in week one against Lamar.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and seven last season.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, a lot of mentions in the chat.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: Hold the edges.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: Edge players says trobob, drugs advice is any kind of idea of what speed he's working with.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: They see a breaker, just more mobile.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: I have the most unscientific answer for you.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's an 83 speed on called the full 20s.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: I was about to say that.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: So he's not Lamar Jackson.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: So he, I think he's more of a guy who's going to pick his spots and has, I think if anything, that makes him more impressive runner that he's not someone who just relies on speed.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's mobile, but he's not, yeah, he's not going to like.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: blaze by you he's not going to be you because he's just that much faster than you he's going to be you because he has mobility and a capability any picks a spots and once he gets going he can he can get going yeah um so he's that he doesn't run like a like like jade my avar
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, who runs like he's never used his legs before.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and that's the thing is like when they're They're probably at the same speed.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: When Jaden runs, it looks like he does not want to be running.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, where when lunch runs, he looks very comfortable.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: He looks like, okay, now I'm going.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: And he seems to at least based on what I watch of him in week one.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: He seems to make that decision and just be pretty confident in it.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you know, I think that a test like this is always fascinating to me because it's sort of an X factor and like I think it's one of those things when mobility with the quarterback is something just hyperfocus on which I think is can be good and bad.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: A if you're super focused on it and prepared for it defensively great.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, I think that do your point like if you're really aggressive
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: getting after the quarterback in last week, they were able to just collapse the pocket around mandal left and right.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: He was someone who was going to be hemmed in the pocket all the time and want to stay in the pocket and have success inside the pocket.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is a completely different situation.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: So like you can do the same things and maybe not have the same success.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: Lunch is more likely to see that pressure coming up the middle and immediately bail.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: So then you've got to find a way to be able to get that pressure and still either get home or for some of the football.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: And either way, I think this is a fantastic challenge for the coaches based on quarterbacks they're going to have to play going forward.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: The Mon Williams is someone who will be able to run the ball with his legs and S.D.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: plays him in three weeks.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: Dante Moore will use his legs if he needs to.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: Blake Washington at the end of the season for Maryland will use his legs.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Colton Joseph, it was constant.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: But you need to be able to show that you can stop a quarterback who has that in his bag.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: and this is a nice little warm-up test for that.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about the defense for Louisiana.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: They made a blow up place last year, but they still didn't have
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: total success if you like.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Down the stretch they especially made a lot of plays in a four game when he shook the end the regular season that was pretty big for them get them to a six and six record at the starting two and six.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: But they struggled overall with getting the back feel to make negative plays.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: According back Brett Gordon had 11 pass break ups, 11 as a freshman, second most by a freshman and all of FBS last year.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: And as a team, they recorded a whopping nine pass breakups in a 3430 win over Arkansas state.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: So we know that they can make those plays.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: They also forced nine fumbles.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: They had nine interceptions.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: They were in the upper third in all the turnover metrics and everything.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: But 93rd in sex, 112th in tackles for loss, 100 in eighth.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: in third-down conversion rate against, so they're not getting off the field on third-down.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: It resulted in the cages being a hundred and seventh in total defense, a hundred and eleven in FBI defense, and not only were they struggling on third-down, the other vice for this defense,
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: big place.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: They allowed 11 plays a 50 plus yards last season, ranking 125th in FBS.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: And when you look at 60 yard plays against only one team allowed more.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: And that was the Delaware Blue Hens who were in their first season up from FCS last year.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a matchup that I think is going to be a big uphill battle for the Reagan Cagions.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Going up against SC who right now
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: in FBI.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're the Trojans, I think it's status quo.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like you've had a lot of success with the first team offence, the last two weeks.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: How do you keep that going forward?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: And how do you improve on the areas in which you struggled?
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, run blocking and pass protection last week at times.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, again, this is another team that USC should not be having trouble with.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_02]: This is another team that if I'm looking at what USC didn't do great last week.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: you can you can you can have that be like a one off from last week where you just weren't one of the races.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: You need to clean all that stuff on the in the run game up you need to be able to create holes the way you did against San Jose state against this this front.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: there's there's there's and it's just it's just going to be the same story in a lot of these these games early but like Louisiana is just outmatched for USC up front in the secondary et cetera like i i i i i think it's right to give them credit for the play of their db's last year and for being opportunistic when teams make mistakes but
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: The only power 14 they played last year was Missouri and Missouri
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: ran through them and I think it's a good comparison too because Missouri has arguably the best backfields in college triple right now and so like that is I think is a good comparison to the level of offense that I see can bring which
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it doesn't have the number one backfield and college football, but we know that statistically they have been in an excellent run team on a per carry basis last couple of years.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: We know that Jade Mayhava is as good as it gets as a quarterback right now through the first couple of weeks.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and that's, and that's the thing, too, is like,
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: when you have a quarterback like Chaden Mayava, you're playing on a different level.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like, all do respect to Bo Probula, who was the quarterback for Missouri last year, I love.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: Probula, did I say that wrong?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: It feels like a Louisiana name, though.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like a bone.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, but like Bo is not Jade and my Alva.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: My Alva is in a different class of quarterback and certainly in a different class of arm compared to Boba Bula, right?
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: Probula?
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, I'm all mixed up.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_00]: Probula.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: Probula.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: Of course he's at Virginia.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: he's now a virgin in doing and doing well with the dreamer but the damage that he did with see for dinner no grunken miles at fortune no he's at virginia tech there is no where is he at this now this is trying to be transferred somewhere and then did really well well he's at yeah he's at fortune yeah
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: So in that in that game, he was 11 9 9 of 11 for two touchdowns, 110 yards on 15 attempts rushing.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: Last year from Missouri against Louisiana.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, this was this year, this year for Virginia, this debut against Louisiana.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: He was 15 of 22, 174 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and on the ground, he had five yards on six, six attempts and a touchdown.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, one of those things.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_02]: But like, it's, it's not the same level of quarterback matchup.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: I would wager that
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: that Jade and my other is the best quarterback that Lamar has faced.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: That not Lamar.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, Louisiana has faced.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: I was looking back at,
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: their opponents of late it's very fascinating like usually you see teams in the sunbelt or whatever and they'll play a lot of you know ranked opponents at the beginning of every season and everything they haven't played a lot of them the ranked opponents they've played have randomly been like Troy is number 19 in the country or something like that so they haven't played a lot of those teams and so I think like Jade and my lover would rank high
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: Um, almost by default, um, of where he's where he would play against Louisiana as an all-time opponent in the least of late.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: Unless I am missing a significant G6 quarterback, uh, it is, like, easily the best quarterback that they will have faced, uh, in some time.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, since at least 2022 with Florida State and Jordan Travis,
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm not, I did Jordan Travis even play in that game.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: Was he already injured?
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, either way, either way.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he did play in that game, but I'm just saying, this is the chance for USC's offense to do what they've done the last two weeks in general, and just go out and have fun, especially somebody like Jade Mayava who we should not be getting pressured significantly in this game.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: if USC's offensive line is doing their job right and if that's the case then then it's you know open season with his with his wide receivers and the like so this isn't a matchup that should scare USC offensively and I don't say that like being overly
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: like having too much bluster here yeah i i think it's an interesting game because we talked about this uh a little bit last week where SE has Rutgers next week they got to go across the country to play Rutgers two weeks from now they have the game that will bring a lot of ways to find at least the early part of the season if not the narrative for the rest of the season which is the Oregon game
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: They have to be a hundred percent for the Oregon game.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Rutgers, I know they just got turtle boobs by UMass.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: but also it's a road game across the country against a big teniponent you don't want to overlook any kind of road trip like that especially in conference uh... again you know she and i was a good coach with the exception of a random thursday and i can do mass and a corner a cornered animal can be dangerous sure yeah uh... badgeric in the test especially if they lose to Boston college yeah
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Which, by the way, just to make a note, if you weren't already planning to watch that Boston College UMass, not UMass Rutgers game, I think it's going to be quite the spectacle.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's the red band enemy game.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: The Boston College is doing the red band and a uniforms red band enemy game.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: And also Rutgers is wearing special 9-11 themed uniforms honoring the, I want to say it's 36 Rutgers alumni who lost their lives in the attack.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: So they're going to wear 36 on their helmet.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just going to be like, I think it's just going to be
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's simply going to be a game that is worth watching for the moment that it is.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: The Red Bandana stuff is awesome.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: I know that it's a day that SC fans will never forget that they have 2014 when the Red Bandana
- 38:20[SPEAKER_00]: Eagles ran all over SC, but the red bandana story is incredible.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know the story about the guy red bandana guy go look it up But to go back to the end by the way, that game is on Friday, September 11th at 430 on ESPN.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: There you go To get to the point that I that I'm making here Organs in two weeks rockers on the road cross country is next week
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that you should ever overlook an opponent's, and it Rutgers against you mass prime example of this.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: However, I do think that this is an opportunity, I think, to get a lot more
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: rotation in in in in terms of players on offense and defense.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: I was kind of surprised.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't see a lot of rotation on offense in the first couple of weeks, especially like in the backfield, right?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like we talked about King Miller got 15 carries into the first two games.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think it will be a red flag if he gets first 15 carries again against Louisiana.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is a game where, offensively, you should have an extreme advantage and you should be able to do what you want offensively, okay, take control of the game and then allow yourself to get guys involved because you've got a gauntlet coming up and I know that, you know,
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: Prime Soccer analogy, Chelsea just beat leads today in the carling cup or whatever the hell it's called, Carabou.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: A toothless lineup, and then the half, they brought in all the teeth and they scored six goals in the second half.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want to do that.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_00]: You want to do the inverse of that.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: And then I mean, start with the teeth and then get everybody involved.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: Start strong, start quick.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: Don't make mistakes early, which by the way, USC has done a good job of in these first two games.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: We talk a lot about, we've talked a lot in the past about how it can be frustrating with USC not like putting their foot on somebody's throat.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they've done a good job there.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Missouri State and Georgia Southern last year.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: Um, they were like weird things that happened in the first quarter or the second quarter.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, SE won those games pull in away obviously and they scored a lot of points and did all those things.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: But like, they were like weird moments and they're have not been weird moments at the beginning of games with the starters in there on offense or defense through two games.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: So there's another opportunity to prove that that is a consistent trend going forward.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: Um, let's get to over on the count.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're going over.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think we were bold.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: Give me that over.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've got to take it under here.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: I've got three under to take.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do an under here.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: First one.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: What do you got?
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: We are going, speaking of lunch.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: We are going with lunch when fields completion percentage.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: The over under is 54.5.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you see, let Luke Weaver complete 65% 65.6% of his passes for San Jose State, Jaden Mendole for Fresno State completed 46.1 per 46.7% I cannot read.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, last year lunch had nine games where he attempted 10 or more passes.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: He completed 55% or better in five of them.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: In four of them, he completed 55, 54 or worse.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: What are we going to see from lunch in this game?
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: Do we think that USC is going to put Louisiana in passing situations?
- 42:18[SPEAKER_02]: And it's going to be a bloodbath or do we think that lunch and Louisiana will focus more on the ground game and try to limit the number of passes he attempts and or focuses their attention on short passes that can be completed quickly the way that San Jose State managed to work that out.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think either way, it doesn't affect how the percentage will go, since this is a rate and not a total stat.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to take the under.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think that when you look at lunch, when fields, body of work as a passer,
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: it is not overly efficient as a passer and he's going up against a defense with G.A.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: and Wafel and Crawford and potentially Kennedy Earlocker getting in there off the edge.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a lot of reasons for him to potentially throw the ball away.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: SE's optimal hopes you hope that he makes a mistake throwing the ball, but either way, I think he's going to have to get the ball out quicker, and getting the ball out quicker if anything will lower that completion percentage in my mind.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, under.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you on that under.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: Mainly, in part, as a nod to guys like John T. Williams and Prophet Brown and Alex Graham and whatever combination of Chase and Johnson and Marcellus Williams and Raquel and the like that we see.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: I know that USC's DBs have been a point of questioning in terms of how much cushion they are leaving receivers, but I've also liked their level of discipline, and especially John Taswilliams, I don't see how Louisiana is going to be able to even attempt to throw on him.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, I, I, I agree.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go to my first over under for you, which is over under 36 and a half.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: One trash yards.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: Um, he's average 72 in every game, uh, of the last nine for the last nine of last year, 72 yards, he had 84 in week one against Lamar.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the lines at 36 and a half, he, um, lunchwinfields, few where she's had our 23 against James Madison and 36 against ULM, but he said 45 plus against everybody else.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: He had 139 at Troy last year.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_00]: Luke Weaver in week one for San Jose State had 42.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so I was going to put the line at 22 and a half and say like, we'll, we'll ask you hold them to his lowest total.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: Basically is the question.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm putting it higher just because Luke Weaver had success as San Jose State's quarterback run on the football.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_00]: So 36 and a half, is that crazy?
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's like literally half is average.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm taking the over here because I think he could get that in one run.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like, at any point in the game, he could, he could just, I mean, this assumes that he doesn't take a ton of sack yardage, which he certainly could, but I am playing the odds I like the over just because it's the kind of thing where,
- 45:56[SPEAKER_02]: a mobile quarterback doing a scramble can just take off once and it doesn't even happen half to happen against the first team defense.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: Once USC starts clearing the benches we've seen how bad the tackling has gotten so it could just come down to one one or two of those kinds of plays late.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree over.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: Randy from Redlands in the chat.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: Zach adjusted?
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, this is not Zach adjusted.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, a factor that in there, I was just looking at his rushing totals that he's had just all rushing numbers, which includes sacks.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think if anything makes his run rushing numbers that much more impressive, yes, because they have given up sacks.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like they're they're not sent us a state Well, who doesn't give up sacks, right?
- 46:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is not their offense.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: They don't run an error rate that is designed to avoid pressure being a factor.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_00]: What's your next one?
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: Um, he has yet to record a sack Louisiana allowed 1.92 stacks per game last season.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, and lunch when field is a mobile guy who can evade pressure.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: So which way are we going here?
- 47:12[SPEAKER_00]: Going under.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, don't under.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: I, I think, uh, you add the fact that, uh, lunch is, uh, a little quick and the fact that I've been
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: going to go under, which means of course he'll get it.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just why I'm going over.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, I was going to go over either way.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll tell you why.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: Lunch when field is a mobile quarterback who when faced with pressure will attempt to spin away and take off along the outside.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: I think there is a universe where there is pressure of the middle or pressure from the other side and he will miscalculate how quick Luke wait for his size and think he can get away and Luke wait for will run him down.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: I like the logic there.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: I like the logic.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get to my next one.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: 36 36 in the wrong one thunder the way under thirteen and a half carries by u.s. he's back up running back so I am not talking king Miller and I'm not talking way men Jordan.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: This is Sean Olston uh... the Sean Rato Riley Wormley and he walk on that they grab off the bench.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: running backs, not names, King Miller or women Jordan, over under 13 and a half carries in this game.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_00]: They've had 17 through two games.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: There were 10 against Saturday State, only seven against Fresno State a week ago.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm putting the number higher here at 13 and a half.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: What, what, let's say you.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: going over.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: The current's a little hopeful on my part.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: I still don't understand why those three guys didn't get more carries against Fresno State.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: I still don't know why warmly got exactly one.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe USC's philosophy with their running back rotation is just, we haven't sort of picked up on what exactly or on the fact that they just have no interest in handing the ball off to these guys, but I will be hopeful here because I think that USC will build up a lead here and will be in the second half looking to clear the ventures, especially because realistically this season, this will be their final opportunity to do so.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: Next, the week after this is Rutgers on the road, which we're going to bring in a travel squad with you and from then on you're playing big 10 games.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_02]: So if you want to get a look at these guys, if you want to give them meaningful carries, if you want to see your offensive lineman or your other what receivers are on, you're going to have to clear the benches a little bit more than USC has.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I would like to see them give each of those guys like a proper drive where they are actually, you know, the guy.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going over in hopes that this being the third and final of the non-conference lead-up games that we'll see more.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Randy and the chat says to over since it's the last non-con trobob around Marty also say over.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go under.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's better, it's better, it's better two weeks.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I put the line higher than it's been.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think 13 and a half is a crazy line at all.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a reasonable line of where it should be, but given that it's been 10 and 7 the last two weeks, it is high, and so that's why I'm gonna take the under.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: I totally get you because I was tempted to because, like you said, it has been significantly under 13.5 over the last two weeks and they had just as much reason to clear the ventures and not put tread on women and king as they will in this game and they chose not to.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe it'll come down to, well, there's another, my next over under sort of gets into this.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: So, I'll wait.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: All right, 1.5 20 plus yard rushes by USC running backs.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_02]: USC is one of 46 teams in college football without a 20 yard rush yet this season.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_02]: USC and Hawaii are the only ones of those 46 that have played two games and don't have a 20 yard rush.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: This time last year and I say this time meaning
- 51:59[SPEAKER_02]: after the second game, USC had six rushes of 20 plus yards against Georgia Southern alone, they had four, against Missouri State, each of women, Jordan and King Miller had a 20 plus yard run.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_02]: And last year, as we talked about, as people live in the chat have been talking about,
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on Hardy and Missouri went hog wild on the region cadence on the running in the running attack.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on Hardy himself had three rushes of 20 plus yards including a 71 yard touchdown.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_02]: Missouri overall had 15 gains of 10 plus yards, which is what Stap Broadcast uses for their long rush.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: Big chunk.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_02]: Big chunk.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: Big chunk.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: Big chunk.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so this is a team that could be right for, well, he's already putting up the over folks.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: So go ahead.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm taking the over because they're due, strictly because they're due.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: Missouri having success a year ago, I think certainly helps obviously, but, uh, as he's due, they're going to have long runs
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: uh... women Jordan and king Miller a homerun hitting backs king Miller especially because we saw that last year early on the season and i know he's added weights and all that kind of stuff and he's bulked up he can still run for twenty yards in a carry so i'm gonna take the over yeah i i'm gonna have to agree with you this upside down because badger came over nope um... and uh... i got to go over as well
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: mostly because of what you said to start they're do they're do they are do and it could be women and and and and king but it also could be somebody like the shonradou or shonelson who has shown uh... some some life when they have gotten the ball and he's early going so question for you uh... in our run down he said twenty plus yard rushes by u.s.s.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: running backs
- 54:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, in the form that we've put together for the over under, I think I just said 20 yard runs.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'd end around to Trent mostly.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's go 20 yard runs because we're just because we're looking at on CFB stats 20 plus yard runs for USC is at zero.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_02]: So let's just call it 20 plus yard runs.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope there's not some weird bubble screen that's six inches backwards accounts.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's go to my last one, which is over under 99.5.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: Trent Mosley receiving the arts.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is just simple.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yet a hundred and eighteen weeks zero against San Jose State.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yet a hundred and four week one against Fresno State.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_00]: Will he go over 100 yet again?
- 54:58[SPEAKER_00]: 99 and a half is the line.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, buddy, um, well, Badger has now tangled himself in our cables.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I might lose my head, like hang himself here.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think I might lose my headphones in a second, but, um, I'm gonna go, uh, I'm going under, I'm going under because eventually you have to stop having
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to come out of the game and somebody else is going to have to like
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: do that.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: Eventually, your running backs are going to break off some long runs and be the ones who gain the chunk yards instead of your receivers.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: I would love to know if we have any information about when the last time a U.S. receiver started the season with 100 yards in three consecutive games.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: Do I think that Trent Mosley is capable of doing that?
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_02]: Statistically do I think the probability is with him doing it again?
- 56:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just gonna I'm gonna say no so I'm doing this for
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: the you know what screw it never mind never mind I'm hey I'm taking the over I'm taking the over because you know what in the first two weeks I've been terrible at over under and it's because I've been trying to hedge bets and I've been trying to say well you know statistically it's blow blow and it hasn't worked so screw it I'm going over oh this is my favorite thing about you Michael I actually think this is a case of optimistically see it there we go yeah
- 56:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I just want to, you know, I decided before you made your pick that I was going to do whatever you didn't do.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I was going to make the argument as if it was my own natural argument of like, well, good point.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, well, I'm going to do this instead.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and so I, you get a little rope into up here, but, um, yeah, I'm taking the under because, you know, it's just, what are the odds?
- 57:08[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to continue to do it.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: statistically probability probability was little difficult little difficult yeah so I'll take the under but like yeah I need to let's see did you just miss to do it I'm trying to look up game logs of old Trojans that he do it in 2015
- 57:39[SPEAKER_00]: No, he was close.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_00]: 2015 went 89, 192, 153, 103.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: So he was close, but he didn't get it.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_00]: He had 300's in a row, but not in the first three weeks.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_02]: My guy in 2025 had only one in the first three weeks and then he was, he wasn't that involved in 2024.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_00]: Nelson Agalor?
- 58:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, no way, Agalor did it.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: now he wasn't he wasn't getting a lot of uh... agolar fifty seven ninety one sixty four yeah jacobie had thirty three ninety one one fifteen last year yeah yeah so i i think it would be it'd be a great great great start and only not only for him but like among trojans in general regardless of age so
- 58:30[SPEAKER_00]: throw off says I think they'll target others, hines and feaster, Randy says I think hines will get more targets.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that I think that's a logical, uh, better swell.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: Um, all right.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_00]: Make your picks.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: I've shared the link in the chat if you're watching live on YouTube.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: If you're not, if you're listening to us or you're watching later, go look at the show notes, the links in there.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_00]: You can go play along with us, fill up the Google form, make your over under picks.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: At least before we move on to the mailback,
- 59:07[SPEAKER_00]: Game predictions, they get spread as SC by 30 and a half.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: USC minus 30 and a half.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: FBI projection, SC by 32 and a half.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_00]: What is your score prediction?
- 59:22[SPEAKER_02]: My prediction is a win, KC4 wondering.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go USC 40.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: Let's have some fun.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go U.S.C.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: 50 to 13.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_00]: Very close to what I wanted to do.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_00]: I like the number 13 in these kind of games because like the way I look at it, it's one touchdown in two field goals, like it's it's one drive that scored and it was two drives that had moderate success, but maybe didn't get all the way there, right?
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm going 10 for Louisiana, 10 as he holds them to 10, and the Trojan's them
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: both of these games so far.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_00]: There just hasn't been a bunch of possessions.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_00]: Part of that is because SC hasn't been overly explosive.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_00]: They've had one long touchdown on the season.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_00]: That was the pass to Trent mostly last week in which he made the Duke at the end.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_00]: That I think it makes it more difficult to get a whole bunch of points.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_00]: So 48 is where I'm going to go.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_00]: SC scored 42 and week one and 39 and week two.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_00]: Or game two, I'm going to go 48, 48, 10.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_00]: David in the chat says 43, trobob 55, 10.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_00]: Insane sports takes says 52 to 10.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: uh... mirty forty eight ten as well uh... javani says thirty four seventeen the kagens got at it
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how that fairs as well.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_00]: That would be a cover, of course, for Louisiana.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, get us your thoughts in the comments as well.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_00]: As always, give us your call into the Rantline during the game.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let us know.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_00]: Did your score prediction come through?
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_00]: Did it not?
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_00]: 8-8-6-4-3-7-2-7-7.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's go to the mail bag and wrap this thing up, shall we?
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_00]: You've got mail.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I wanted to pull out a comments that we had earlier that we didn't get to from Trojan Fight after assume that Torella Anderson isn't close to returning since he's not on the Dept.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: You got thoughts?
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, I was looking to see if we had any mail, which we don't, sorry, repeat that.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_00]: I just unchecked it.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh no.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_00]: But there was a question about, uh, from, I think, chosen to find a book.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Terrell Anderson.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, uh, I, I think that Terrell Anderson not being on the depth chart pretty much rules him out in my view, um, especially because, like, as much as we want to see a guy like Booby Feaster, I don't think that Booby Feaster is, uh,
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_02]: At this point in his career, naturally, the actual second option there at that wide receiver spot.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_02]: So, if Trial Anderson was healthy, I think he would be in there.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_02]: If for no other reason, then he'd have an OR with him.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, we don't have any information because USC doesn't give us any information.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think the thing is, when you've got Booby Feaster, I don't think you really want to milk it.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_02]: No, yeah.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_00]: comment from head this is a long comment that we got on off the last episode at least he thinks for being on target regarding rubin who appeared as a rubin who appeared to botch attack on the Notre Dame kickoff return last year uh... that would have kept uc ahead pierce i'm afraid it's not appear
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: to understand patterns and schemes in this picked up where you left off last year against TCU.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_00]: A college A and Pep A need a lot of development pierces brother and Reardon Crouter appear to be afraid of tackling 99.952 and 45 are getting better, but it will take time.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: That is, Judge Eric, Tom Tom Lapui and Jimi and Winfields.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_00]: No relation to lunch, by the way.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_00]: The ovens of wine is still adjusting to the loss of a conner and Paige is just not physical.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_00]: Trader is average, the runnybacks are hesitant to because of the offensive line king is slower, but still quick.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan will continue to heal from the bad foot injury.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not worried yet unless he fumbles again.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_00]: My other looks terrific.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_00]: The national media is engaging in malpractice ignoring him.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_00]: You should be emphasizing more that USC has given up just three points total in the combined three quarters of both games.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_00]: Amazing regardless of opponent if not for the 23 point for the quarter collapsing game one.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_00]: We are talking about an 81-3 score line with the quarterback throwing for 96-90 percent completion presented in over 600.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_00]: yards with 600 TDs and basically two halves of play.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_00]: My starting offensive line is way full and adversary at the ends, along with Stewart and Vince Schumerin in the middle, I pay no attention to stat lines for batting, they tell us nothing and set artificial disappointments, otherwise good work!
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_02]: This is from it a lot of thoughts there for me a lot of thoughts there a lot of good thoughts there so thank you Ed for the for the comment It's I'm I'm my brain went a million different places now.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_02]: I've lost every thread that I was trying to hold on to doing is
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_02]: during that to that comment.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think I think we do want to keep emphasizing just USC's defense has been very good in these in these opening two weeks.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_02]: And way too much attention as we said at the time was paid to to the fourth quarter against San Jose State.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive line is one that I think, or the offensive line in the run game is one that I think is very interesting.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_02]: It is important to remember that Killian O'Connor was a returning starter centerpiece there at center.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_02]: And Breck, not called it Hayden Treader, is a first-time starter and still rather young for an offensive line when even so, even though he's earned this starting drop, this point.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_02]: he's not the finished article yet and this often is a line may just need time to sort of settle in with the new with the new center and with the new piece there at left guard.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_02]: and just in town who was still a guy who's sort of in the earlier stages of his development.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, this is the thing with this often's blindness.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of pieces to like, but there's still question marks about what their level can actually be.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_02]: And it's too early to draw a conclusion about what that level will be for this season.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_02]: But we have to sort of hope that these first few weeks are just working out the kings and not that these are features of this group, which is a possibility I might add.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there is a world where this is just who they are.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_02]: There is a world where this is just them working out the kings.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_02]: We have to find out once they get to tougher opposition.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, we've got to find out once I get the tougher opposition, but I stand by the thought that like, you still need guys to make mistakes and put it on film so that way they can improve.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_00]: And like, I think this season so far has been a very good mix of you had one bad quarter, once the defense can learn a lot from and get better with the the depth guys, and you have had
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_00]: stellar quarters every other quarter from the defense that you can feel good and build confidence on ideally you want only a few learning moments and a bunch of moments that you can build confidence on but like Yeah, I don't think it's a terrible thing that S.C. had that fourth quarter if they can you know improve on but
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry for all the noises I'm making.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_02]: Badger is so restless.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's very restless.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I think we'll wrap up there as his tail is now whipping and hitting your mic stand.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we need to talk about Badger though, because Badger and now he's eating my like trying to eat my mic.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_00]: Badger is no longer a nuisance on every episode.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_00]: With the barking, with the barking, so I hope that everybody who hated us last year, and I totally understand why, with all the barking.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that they find themselves coming back.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time,
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just when I think that like we're over Badger interrupting the pod He gets absolutely tangled in every single cord that's in this place There we go All right, we'll see if lunch run field can get tangled in S.C's defense or S.C's defense will be able to be eating be eating lunch for dinner
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's the light night kit.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm super excited about this game.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_00]: Louisiana just seems like a fun team.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like everything about them seems fun.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think they have great uniforms.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_00]: They have a great logo, great fans.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like everything is cool about them.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_02]: really quick before we go Randy in the chat asked a question.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you were the posing defensive coordinator going against USC, would you prioritize stopping the run or stopping the pass?
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would depend on what my defense is.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like I would have to lean on my defenses strengths.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think a team that is not equipped to stop the pass can just focus on stopping the pass and actually have any.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_00]: How bad is your secondary?
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_00]: Your secondary bad?
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're going to get you in life.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a good
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_00]: then, yeah, sitting back and just trying to absorb the run.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's still gonna be very difficult.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_00]: But like,
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that maybe you might have more of a chance at that.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_00]: Just on the chance that like, even if the run is there, we know that SU is not gonna run every down.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's Linda Riley doesn't want to run Lincoln wants to be able to pass.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_02]: And so if you can get away with it, you try to take the pass, but you have to have the dudes to be able to do that.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_02]: So it's, you know, see these here said then done.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Bad news getting some.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_02]: Robert Murdy says midnight car cast episode, you know it.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_02]: We don't sleep until the car cast is recorded.
