- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied to.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Come off the bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Our two of Off the.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Bench live from the Raising Kine studio.
- 0:22Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in OTV. Here at FABT and
- 0:27Speaker 4: it is time. It is now eight am. The parking
- 0:30Speaker 4: lot is certainly full. There's people parlaying right now. And
- 0:34Speaker 4: if you want an American flag, remember only five hundred
- 0:39Speaker 4: are going to be handed out, and once they are gone,
- 0:41Speaker 4: they are gone. So come see us. We are here
- 0:43Speaker 4: in guys First American Bank and Trust.
- 0:46Speaker 2: There's a lady out there.
- 0:47Speaker 5: With a bald eagle hat on, and that bald eagle
- 0:50Speaker 5: has an American flag top hat on.
- 0:53Speaker 2: That what Matt?
- 0:56Speaker 4: The ladies Michelle, one of your boss I can't see
- 0:59Speaker 4: it because the tent on the windows. One of your
- 1:01Speaker 4: boss I guarantee, Okay, I'm gonna get that halt from her. Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Oh that is Michelle Southern.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah am Michelle.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Ye, she's been in radio.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Look at that hat though, the hat hair amount of
- 1:12Speaker 5: years I got it.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I just saw the hat. I wouldn't even I was distracting.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Never changed, Bud oh don't worry.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I'm forty. I'm a man. I ain't changing.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Oh you're not forty one yet, I about say forty.
- 1:28Speaker 4: You're not forty. Yeah, but oh a month from to day.
- 1:31Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:32Speaker 5: A month from I am forty years old and you, sir,
- 1:35Speaker 5: are into your forties.
- 1:36Speaker 4: That's very true. I have I have nothing.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you're an oldie. I have nothing. Yeah. We're dumping on.
- 1:51Speaker 5: There in the party lot at First American Megan Trust
- 1:55Speaker 5: right off the Highway seventy three. Technically, guys, we're going
- 2:00Speaker 5: to dutchdown. Come correct this and get an American flag
- 2:04Speaker 5: if that's wrong. Seventy four, right next to high school.
- 2:11Speaker 6: All right, we're gonna let them get their internet together quick.
- 2:16Speaker 6: Is that they are at the First American Bank and
- 2:19Speaker 6: Trust off Highway seventy four. Guysmer Dutchtown. Earlier we were
- 2:25Speaker 6: saying that Matt was trying to figure out where does
- 2:28Speaker 6: Guysmer end and where does Dutchtown start. We thought you
- 2:32Speaker 6: would know the answer.
- 2:33Speaker 7: Oh, I don't know the answers even know where Guysmer is.
- 2:36Speaker 7: It's all Gonzalez to me.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Something off of Highway seventy four. But anyways, they're giving
- 2:40Speaker 6: away a bunch five hundred American flags. I'm sure they're
- 2:44Speaker 6: gone by now, but five hundred American flags. Go get them.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Memorial Day coming up. You want a Highway seventy three,
- 2:53Speaker 6: My bad Highway seventy three.
- 2:57Speaker 2: They're on Highway seventy three.
- 2:58Speaker 6: And they are just completely disconnected right now. But go
- 3:01Speaker 6: get your flags. Memorial Day coming up. If you want
- 3:03Speaker 6: to display your American pride loud and proud. I know
- 3:07Speaker 6: Taylor does not because he is an American.
- 3:11Speaker 2: That's not true.
- 3:12Speaker 6: But I don't even remember what they were talking about
- 3:15Speaker 6: before that. Solon, you wanna, Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 7: Your San Antonio Spurs got a battle ahead of him
- 3:19Speaker 7: because the Knicks are coming.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I'm just letting you know the.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Knicks are coming, but I'm not too worried about Okase.
- 3:25Speaker 7: Did you see the Knicks game last night?
- 3:27Speaker 6: I saw some of it. I saw that they came
- 3:29Speaker 6: back from a deficit.
- 3:30Speaker 7: There was twenty two with seven minutes to go, came
- 3:33Speaker 7: back one by eleven points in overtime. Like I'm a
- 3:36Speaker 7: neutral party in this, Like Jake's a Knicks fan, you're
- 3:39Speaker 7: a Spurs fan. Yeah, I mean I guess I would
- 3:41Speaker 7: lean Pelicans, which means I never have a team to
- 3:43Speaker 7: pull forward in the playoffs. Go figure, that's a dangerous team.
- 3:48Speaker 7: Like I was talking about it the other day. Jalen
- 3:51Speaker 7: Brunson is a top ten player in this league and
- 3:54Speaker 7: he plays in the New York market, and no one
- 3:56Speaker 7: talks about it. It's insane to me that someone that good,
- 4:00Speaker 7: that consistent, and that big of a market doesn't get
- 4:03Speaker 7: talked about. Like that team was playing so bad yesterday
- 4:07Speaker 7: Cleveland had everything going their way and Jalen Bronson kicked
- 4:12Speaker 7: it into another gear. I mean he go, he get
- 4:14Speaker 7: is thirty eight points six as his five rebound shoots
- 4:17Speaker 7: over fifty percent from the floor. Yeah, he didn't have it.
- 4:20Speaker 7: He was one for six from three. That's that's his game.
- 4:23Speaker 7: Like he didn't have his a game. He comes in
- 4:25Speaker 7: thirty eight points in a must win Game one, because like,
- 4:28Speaker 7: if Cleveland takes that game, they now have the advantage
- 4:30Speaker 7: of the entire series. I think Nicks are gonna win
- 4:33Speaker 7: Game two now after that, this NBA playoffs, Like again,
- 4:36Speaker 7: I understand there's not a ton of fans out there
- 4:39Speaker 7: of this particular playoff because in Louisiana, when the Pelicans
- 4:42Speaker 7: are bad, you don't hate watch like when the Saints
- 4:44Speaker 7: are lshu. Baseball is bad. You just kind of shut down.
- 4:47Speaker 7: And that's what happens a lot with with Pelicans fans.
- 4:50Speaker 2: If if you haven't.
- 4:51Speaker 7: Tuned in, tune in, because I mean this final four,
- 4:55Speaker 7: you got two heavyweights on the other side, Spurs and
- 4:57Speaker 7: Spurs and Thunder who have done it multiple time. Then
- 5:00Speaker 7: you got two teams just trying to get over the home.
- 5:03Speaker 7: Can Cleveland do it without Lebron? They've never been able to.
- 5:05Speaker 7: The Knicks have not been good in my lifetime. I
- 5:08Speaker 7: just kind of think this is going to be a
- 5:09Speaker 7: pretty fun final four.
- 5:10Speaker 6: I think both of these conference finals are exciting, Like
- 5:13Speaker 6: between the Spurs being I would say, back to what
- 5:17Speaker 6: they were before in terms of like talent and just
- 5:21Speaker 6: being a good overall team and okay see obviously to
- 5:25Speaker 6: the defending champs, and it kind of feels like good
- 5:28Speaker 6: versus evil. Like I think that a lot of people
- 5:30Speaker 6: that are not fans of any of the teams are
- 5:32Speaker 6: rooting for the Spurs in this because they just don't
- 5:35Speaker 6: want SGA and the Thunder to win. But the Calves
- 5:39Speaker 6: and the Knicks is also a good one because of
- 5:41Speaker 6: what you said, like the Knicks had to claw their
- 5:42Speaker 6: way back from that one. I did catch some of it,
- 5:44Speaker 6: and whenever I was watching it, they were down pretty big.
- 5:48Speaker 6: And so, I mean, I do think that this is
- 5:50Speaker 6: a very exciting time and we got the guys back again.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought we fired him. I thought that's what happened.
- 6:05Speaker 2: If you want us.
- 6:05Speaker 4: To go back home, Tato, I mean, I mean, you
- 6:08Speaker 4: let us know. I know you're trying to throw shade
- 6:11Speaker 4: at the American flight GiB away, but we're gonna be here, Bud.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I was out here cooking talking about them there.
- 6:17Speaker 4: We were talking about what you're talking about, Will Wade,
- 6:19Speaker 4: and I don't even know what point we caught out
- 6:22Speaker 4: from y'all, Like, I'm not really sure. We're talking about
- 6:24Speaker 4: getting players that have NBA logos in the transfer portal
- 6:29Speaker 4: next to their LSU logo, So I don't really know
- 6:31Speaker 4: what point. I don't know what y'all heard. I don't
- 6:33Speaker 4: know what y'all didn't hear. Not really sure, but that's
- 6:36Speaker 4: what we were talking about whenever we lost connection there. So
- 6:39Speaker 4: Count Flynn was really cooking, Oh yeah, spitting well.
- 6:44Speaker 2: We were talking about.
- 6:48Speaker 5: This LSU basketball team and the roster that is being
- 6:54Speaker 5: built there. Certainly unconventional. We've talked about how we talked
- 6:58Speaker 5: about that for the last days, the last couple of weeks,
- 7:01Speaker 5: about how it's going to have to be unconventional at
- 7:03Speaker 5: this point in time. You're going to have to, you know,
- 7:05Speaker 5: reach into the European League, take some players in different
- 7:09Speaker 5: from different places around the world. Now, I don't think
- 7:12Speaker 5: anybody could have predicted where the last couple of players
- 7:16Speaker 5: have come from, and certainly that has been from the NBA,
- 7:21Speaker 5: in professional leagues, in the G League.
- 7:24Speaker 2: When you're looking at r. J.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Lewis junior and kind of I was laughing yesterday I
- 7:28Speaker 5: texted the group about you got you got these graphics
- 7:33Speaker 5: that pop up on social media, and the graphic that
- 7:36Speaker 5: on three posted kind of shows his progression throughout his
- 7:39Speaker 5: career and his his stops in the past was at
- 7:44Speaker 5: UMass the logo, then the next two goes to Saint
- 7:47Speaker 5: John's and then he goes to the Utah Jazz, you know,
- 7:51Speaker 5: because going to professional basketball.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah, then the Boston Celtics. The next stop LSU, Yeah,
- 7:59Speaker 2: because that makes a lot of sense. And I'm gonna
- 8:01Speaker 2: let you do the next one.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Nope, from the Cleveland Cavaliers LSU Tigers.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Cleveland Cavaliers to the l s U Tigers.
- 8:10Speaker 5: So we understood that you're going to have to do
- 8:20Speaker 5: things a little differently to build this roster out in
- 8:23Speaker 5: the way of college athletics. Now you you you can.
- 8:26Speaker 5: It doesn't look like it's not the same traditional path
- 8:29Speaker 5: of course of of anything from going from high school
- 8:32Speaker 5: to uh to developing in one program, maybe a transfer
- 8:36Speaker 5: here and there.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Now it's it's certainly different.
- 8:39Speaker 5: And the basketball it can be even more different because
- 8:42Speaker 5: you can you can reach all over the globe to
- 8:44Speaker 5: find players and bring them in. What's that what's that
- 8:49Speaker 5: line of demarcation of like professional sports? I know, the
- 8:52Speaker 5: the G League thing is what we talked about yesterday,
- 8:54Speaker 5: and you know it's certainly affiliated with NBA, but it's
- 8:58Speaker 5: not the NBA. Well, the guy we got yesterday, it's NBA. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:06Speaker 5: drafted in the NBA last year, right in the forties
- 9:10Speaker 5: forty eight something like that.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Uh No, in the fifties and fifties. Yeah, it was
- 9:14Speaker 4: I believe fifty eighth overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. So
- 9:19Speaker 4: so for R. J. Lewis, it is okay, like right
- 9:21Speaker 4: now he's not even eligible like it's going to have
- 9:23Speaker 4: to be a court case situation. We talked about that
- 9:25Speaker 4: a little bit yesterday, so like you're doing it a
- 9:29Speaker 4: different way. And honestly, like with the European like the
- 9:31Speaker 4: EuroLeague players like that, to me, that's that's not even
- 9:36Speaker 4: really the issue because we see players from that league,
- 9:39Speaker 4: like they'll play as teenagers in that league and then
- 9:41Speaker 4: they'll get drafted into the NBA. So it is kind
- 9:43Speaker 4: of like a feeder system into the NBA. I mean
- 9:46Speaker 4: Luka dancing like he played in the euroleagues, right, and
- 9:49Speaker 4: so like that, to me, it's like, okay, well with nil,
- 9:51Speaker 4: now you can get those players to come here whatever
- 9:53Speaker 4: whatever it is, the ones that got drafted into the
- 9:57Speaker 4: NBA draft. Now, we've seen baseball players the MLB get
- 10:01Speaker 4: drafted and they decide, okay, well we're not gonna do that,
- 10:04Speaker 4: We're gonna go to school. Like that happens all the time.
- 10:06Speaker 4: We just we've never seen it like this because like
- 10:09Speaker 4: once you declare for the draft, you get drafted, then
- 10:11Speaker 4: like college is done for you. In baseball, it's not,
- 10:14Speaker 4: but in basketball it always has been. And this is
- 10:16Speaker 4: obviously something that is very foreign to us in the
- 10:18Speaker 4: football world. Because like, you don't come from the high
- 10:21Speaker 4: school ranks, you don't come from other leagues. It's like
- 10:23Speaker 4: you go to college, you go three years removed from
- 10:25Speaker 4: high school, then you get drafted, and then if you
- 10:27Speaker 4: go into the draft. But remember, there is a player
- 10:29Speaker 4: from Oklahoma, a linebacker that went to the NFL Combine
- 10:33Speaker 4: that is trying to go back to Oklahoma. So even
- 10:36Speaker 4: in football, this is starting to become a trend because
- 10:41Speaker 4: every time you go to court with the NCAA, it
- 10:45Speaker 4: feels like they don't want any part of it, and
- 10:47Speaker 4: they're like, oh, hey, you got us, you want sure,
- 10:50Speaker 4: We're not gonna spend time in court. So it feels
- 10:52Speaker 4: like it truly is the wild Wild West. There's no
- 10:54Speaker 4: set of rules anymore. Because now we're even seeing it
- 10:56Speaker 4: in a game like football where we've never seen anything
- 10:59Speaker 4: like this before. Now we've ever seen this before in
- 11:01Speaker 4: college basketball until Alabama, you know, did it during last
- 11:05Speaker 4: basketball season.
- 11:06Speaker 2: We we made fun of it. Yeah, we made fun
- 11:08Speaker 2: of it because it was stupid.
- 11:10Speaker 4: So now this is becoming, unfortunately something that's part of
- 11:13Speaker 4: a lot of different things.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I don't know if I know that yet.
- 11:19Speaker 5: You and I have a little bit of an old
- 11:21Speaker 5: school mentality, and we yell at the clouds a lot.
- 11:25Speaker 5: We tell people to get off our line a lot.
- 11:27Speaker 5: I get it when it comes to the transferred, when
- 11:32Speaker 5: it comes to paying player, when it comes to different
- 11:34Speaker 5: things like you and I are a little bit, you know,
- 11:36Speaker 5: a little bit more conservative leaning on those things. We
- 11:40Speaker 5: don't want. We don't want college sports to change that much.
- 11:45Speaker 5: And I get it. It is changing. College athletics is
- 11:49Speaker 5: constantly changing. The rules are being rewritten what seems like
- 11:53Speaker 5: every single day, or trying at least trying to be rewritten.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Now it's going to it remains to be seen on
- 11:59Speaker 5: what is actually going to stick and who's going to
- 12:02Speaker 5: be eligible. And I get that people like might might
- 12:05Speaker 5: think we're a little bit of a couple.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Of unks over here.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Sometimes I get it, but I think this is a
- 12:15Speaker 5: step too far. I hate this. I don't like anything
- 12:19Speaker 5: about this. It makes us LSU is kind of like
- 12:26Speaker 5: athletics in general has kind of like been villainized a
- 12:30Speaker 5: little bit, and we've embraced that from the football aspect, right,
- 12:32Speaker 5: We've embraced being the villain. And everybody wanted to come
- 12:35Speaker 5: at us from a football standpoint because of because of
- 12:39Speaker 5: Lane coming over and like all the drama that happened
- 12:42Speaker 5: with that, we don't need to revisit that.
- 12:44Speaker 2: This is, to me a different level of things.
- 12:49Speaker 5: When you're trying to change college athletics to the point
- 12:53Speaker 5: of making people that were failed professionals and maybe this guy,
- 12:59Speaker 5: I mean he's trying to last year, he's not. You
- 13:01Speaker 5: can't even consider him a failed professional. He's a professional
- 13:04Speaker 5: basketball player that was drafted to the NBA a year ago.
- 13:09Speaker 5: And what that's that would be the second round. Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 5: now he's going to come back and commit to play
- 13:14Speaker 5: college again.
- 13:16Speaker 2: This is terrible. I don't I hate this. It feels
- 13:21Speaker 2: like the the r. J.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Lewis one is the one though, because like this player drafted, okay,
- 13:29Speaker 4: just last year, you feel like you want to go
- 13:32Speaker 4: play college basketball out of the year league, Okay, like.
- 13:36Speaker 2: R J.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Lewis has been like with multiple organizations, you know what
- 13:39Speaker 4: I'm saying. And I mean, look, he's a hell of
- 13:42Speaker 4: a basketball Player's a Big East Player of the Year.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Like if he ends up in an LSU uniform, you're
- 13:47Speaker 4: getting like eighteen a night from him.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Like he's a hell of a basketball player, a good
- 13:52Speaker 5: obviously a proven good college basketball three years and being
- 13:57Speaker 5: on multiple franchises in the NBA, Like that's what sets
- 14:01Speaker 5: that one apart a little bit more for me, because
- 14:03Speaker 5: like the other player, like you get drafted, you don't
- 14:05Speaker 5: really play for them, You don't do the summer league stuff,
- 14:07Speaker 5: Like you still go back to the euro League and
- 14:09Speaker 5: they're gonna watch you. Like that happens in the NBA
- 14:11Speaker 5: all the time, Like we're gonna draft you, but go play.
- 14:13Speaker 4: In Europe and we're just gonna watch you. We have
- 14:15Speaker 4: your rights and then you know, we'll eventually bring you
- 14:17Speaker 4: over here. But no, but like not when you've played
- 14:21Speaker 4: like and you've been in that.
- 14:24Speaker 5: I think both of them, I think both of them
- 14:26Speaker 5: are stinky. Yes, this whole thing stinks, and I don't
- 14:29Speaker 5: like that LSU is involved with it. Now I get it,
- 14:32Speaker 5: like your backs against the wall, your hands are tad.
- 14:34Speaker 5: You gotta be unconventional, and I'm all about being unconventional,
- 14:38Speaker 5: but I don't this is just uh, I don't know.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It doesn't feel good to me, does not feel good
- 14:44Speaker 2: to me.
- 14:45Speaker 5: And I don't know how everybody else, what everybody else's
- 14:47Speaker 5: opinion on fans out there.
- 14:49Speaker 4: I haven't really heard like a strong this is always
- 14:52Speaker 4: one way or the other on this, I think because
- 14:56Speaker 4: it is so new, because like we just really haven't
- 14:58Speaker 4: seen a roster like this. Like people are trying to
- 15:01Speaker 4: figure out how they feel because they want basketball to
- 15:03Speaker 4: be back, but they also like, like we're bringing up here,
- 15:07Speaker 4: like guys that have you know, been drafted into the
- 15:10Speaker 4: professional ranks and you know looking and there's other coaches
- 15:13Speaker 4: right now that are calling out will Waite and like
- 15:16Speaker 4: there's a report and again like nothing's verified that Tom
- 15:19Speaker 4: Izzo Michigan State is not very happy with will Waite
- 15:22Speaker 4: and he's had some comments, and so it is certainly
- 15:25Speaker 4: the biggest talking point in college basketball right now.
- 15:31Speaker 2: It just feels a little dirty right now. It just
- 15:33Speaker 2: feels like what like.
- 15:36Speaker 5: I don't wish it was I wish it wasn't us
- 15:38Speaker 5: that was trying to to do make these moves and
- 15:42Speaker 5: change the face of college athletics in this way. If
- 15:47Speaker 5: you're a professional athlete, you're a professional athlete. You shouldn't
- 15:51Speaker 5: be able to go back to college. I don't care
- 15:53Speaker 5: if it's your I don't care. If it's the G League,
- 15:56Speaker 5: I don't care where if you're affiliated drafted to the
- 15:59Speaker 5: next So if you're drafted the next level and decide
- 16:02Speaker 5: to forego the rest of your college career and go
- 16:06Speaker 5: and chase that dream. You're a professional athlete. You should
- 16:09Speaker 5: not be allowed to come back and play in a
- 16:13Speaker 5: college uniform, have to go back into classes and take
- 16:17Speaker 5: and be a student athlete like they Okay, I get it.
- 16:21Speaker 5: You can also make the argument in college, well, they
- 16:22Speaker 5: are pro athletes now, they're student athletes that get paid
- 16:28Speaker 5: and they're contract employees. They're not like employees, they're contract
- 16:32Speaker 5: workers for the university. They're on scholarship that go to
- 16:36Speaker 5: school that are we believe, still required to maintain a
- 16:40Speaker 5: certain GPA to be eligible. Now we don't know if
- 16:43Speaker 5: that is still the case, but we think that is
- 16:45Speaker 5: the case.
- 16:46Speaker 4: I I would.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Like I would, And I know you're you're trying to
- 16:52Speaker 5: be a little reserved and not say it, but we've
- 16:55Speaker 5: never seen it before. We've never seen it like reason
- 16:57Speaker 5: because they're professional athletes.
- 16:59Speaker 4: So like, I don't I know how this is going
- 17:00Speaker 4: to play out, Like I don't know if these players
- 17:02Speaker 4: are even going to play at LSU. Like that's the
- 17:04Speaker 4: point too, Like right now r J. Lewis is not eligible.
- 17:07Speaker 5: But to me, like I was I was adamant about
- 17:10Speaker 5: like when when the whole lane kept in situation has happened.
- 17:13Speaker 5: It's like I get it. Everybody embracing the villain.
- 17:17Speaker 4: That's a different story. It's so different thing.
- 17:20Speaker 5: And I and I was a little bit against it
- 17:22Speaker 5: because like I have because I expect more, like I
- 17:25Speaker 5: expect the best, Like I expect people to respect us
- 17:28Speaker 5: and fear us at the same time, not hate us.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Right right, this to me and this is fresh, right,
- 17:37Speaker 5: So I don't have all the facts. I don't and
- 17:39Speaker 5: admittedly so, but on the surface, this is embarrassing.
- 17:43Speaker 2: The l issue.
- 17:46Speaker 4: And it's not I mean, we've just talked about two players,
- 17:49Speaker 4: Like there's other players that are twenty six years old.
- 17:51Speaker 5: This is embarrassing. Now, maybe it all works out and
- 17:54Speaker 5: it's all good. Like I'm just saying as a this
- 17:58Speaker 5: is fresh to us right now. Yeah, this is very fresh.
- 18:01Speaker 5: We don't have all the facts, we don't know everything,
- 18:04Speaker 5: but on the surface of everything happening, it's a little
- 18:09Speaker 5: bit embarrassing.
- 18:12Speaker 4: It is like it is certainly something that I never
- 18:17Speaker 4: thought we'd see. It is something that I keep going
- 18:21Speaker 4: back to R. J. Lewis, And maybe it's because like
- 18:24Speaker 4: doing college radio on serious for so long, like I
- 18:27Speaker 4: just talked about him in great details because his biggiest
- 18:29Speaker 4: player of the year, and like when he was gone,
- 18:32Speaker 4: he was gone. And like to even like think about
- 18:35Speaker 4: talking about it as a player in college seems ludicrous
- 18:38Speaker 4: to me.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Right now, I'm telling you, congratulations on getting the NFL job.
- 18:43Speaker 2: You got out of the college sports at the right time.
- 18:45Speaker 4: And can I tell you, and you know this, that's
- 18:47Speaker 4: ninety five percent of the reason that I did it,
- 18:50Speaker 4: Because it's because it's because there's there's thirty two teams.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Like that's that's intriguing and not you know, every sport
- 18:56Speaker 4: and all the teams I have, there's thirty two teams,
- 18:58Speaker 4: and there's rules, there's a salary cap, rules, there's a CBA,
- 19:04Speaker 4: and so like when I was making my final decision
- 19:07Speaker 4: on moving from college radio to NFL radio, that was
- 19:10Speaker 4: the biggest thing. It just was because there's so much
- 19:15Speaker 4: more structure and if you don't abide to the shield,
- 19:20Speaker 4: they'll move on from you.
- 19:21Speaker 2: No for sure, next yeah, no doubt.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Yeah, they don't care who you are, they really don't.
- 19:28Speaker 4: And that's why like things like this, like I don't
- 19:32Speaker 4: even know how to like talk about it because like
- 19:38Speaker 4: you have these players, one's not even right now eligible
- 19:41Speaker 4: to play. He might be down the road, you don't
- 19:44Speaker 4: really know. And just the way this roster's kind of
- 19:47Speaker 4: coming together, and again like you had to be creative,
- 19:49Speaker 4: you did because of when you got the job, you
- 19:52Speaker 4: had zero players. We're asking are you going to get players?
- 19:54Speaker 4: But like, I don't even know what it's truly in
- 19:57Speaker 4: its totality even gonna look like where they're gonna come from.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Who's going to be eligible to play, who's not going
- 20:02Speaker 4: to be eligible to play? What if you have a
- 20:04Speaker 4: situation where all of a sudden you go to court
- 20:07Speaker 4: in three players that you had that you were counting
- 20:09Speaker 4: on aren't ready to go, and then that sets you back,
- 20:12Speaker 4: Like that's a real possibility.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Like growing up and like we all get annoyed by
- 20:18Speaker 5: rules and laws and things we got to live by,
- 20:21Speaker 5: but they're very necessary. You you hate them until they're gone.
- 20:24Speaker 5: This is like what we're doing right now is kind
- 20:26Speaker 5: of like the purge no rules for a little bit,
- 20:29Speaker 5: no laws, trying to live lawless out there in the
- 20:32Speaker 5: world of college athletics.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:37Speaker 5: I like rules, I like laws, I like everybody having
- 20:40Speaker 5: to play by the same set of them and not
- 20:43Speaker 5: continuously trying to rewrite them.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and I.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Don't know where college sports goes from here, but it's
- 20:51Speaker 5: a mess. And you know, we talked about it at
- 20:53Speaker 5: football season, how college football is drunk right now? Well, well,
- 21:00Speaker 5: what's happening right now in college basketball? I would say
- 21:03Speaker 5: college football is just absolutely wasted face. Yeah, And I
- 21:08Speaker 5: don't know. I don't know where you go, how you
- 21:10Speaker 5: fix it. That's not my job. All I know is
- 21:13Speaker 5: I can just sit here and continue to yell.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I think I'm and look, I'm gonna be straight up honest,
- 21:19Speaker 4: Like Will Wade's my guy, Like I love Wade, had
- 21:22Speaker 4: a great relationship with him, and I'm very intrigued whenever
- 21:25Speaker 4: we get a chance to hear from him, like how
- 21:28Speaker 4: this is all coming together, Why it's coming together? Like
- 21:31Speaker 4: I'm going to reserve some of my judgment until that happens.
- 21:33Speaker 4: And I completely understand why you feel the way that
- 21:36Speaker 4: you do as well, Like I completely understand it. And
- 21:40Speaker 4: I would love to know how most of the fans,
- 21:43Speaker 4: you know, kind of feel about this because it's so
- 21:45Speaker 4: unorthodox and we just never seen it before. So there's
- 21:47Speaker 4: still a lot that's gonna happen. There's still, like I,
- 21:51Speaker 4: I don't know how many more players are going to get.
- 21:53Speaker 4: They've gotten some from college, they've got some from the EuroLeague,
- 21:55Speaker 4: they've got some from the G League, and so we'll
- 21:58Speaker 4: have to see. But I do want to hear from Will. Wait, Hey,
- 22:00Speaker 4: here's what it is, Here's why I did it, Here's
- 22:02Speaker 4: what we're gonna do moving forward. Because I was excited
- 22:05Speaker 4: as anybody and still excited about Will Wade being the
- 22:08Speaker 4: lshuehead basketball coach. So a lot still to come, a
- 22:11Speaker 4: lot still to happen. You got to figure out who's
- 22:13Speaker 4: actually in, who's actually out. But certainly unorthodox to say
- 22:17Speaker 4: the least. We are twenty two minutes into this segment,
- 22:19Speaker 4: so we will take a break. We have got more
- 22:22Speaker 4: OTB coming to you live from FABT when we come

- 24:01Speaker 8: I'm just looking for somebody at the top too, and
- 24:04Speaker 8: show me some love, show me if you know what
- 24:07Speaker 8: of me.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Hey, everybody at tracking me.
- 24:12Speaker 8: As soon as I stepped in the spot, last step
- 24:14Speaker 8: in the spot, two, the better they ain't none of them.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Ain't none of them gets up, but it's pretty young
- 24:21Speaker 2: thing that was working on the way at the top
- 24:23Speaker 2: on the way at the time.
- 24:24Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in OTB and we are here
- 24:28Speaker 4: live at First American Bank and Trust. And as you
- 24:31Speaker 4: can probably see on YouTube and here there in the
- 24:34Speaker 4: background starting to pick it up. A lot of people
- 24:37Speaker 4: here in this parking lot, a lot of flags.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Love America out here getting old glory. So stop by
- 24:45Speaker 5: First American Bank of Trust right here Highway seventy three
- 24:49Speaker 5: in Guysmer slash Dutchtown whatever it is, it's right here
- 24:54Speaker 5: by Dutchtown High School.
- 24:55Speaker 2: That's what I know. So come get it. Pulling the
- 24:58Speaker 2: you can pull in the in the parking lot.
- 25:00Speaker 9: Here.
- 25:01Speaker 5: Michelle Southern's out there with the greatest hat I think
- 25:04Speaker 5: these eyes have ever.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Led eyes on.
- 25:06Speaker 5: It's a bald eagle with an American flag top hat on.
- 25:12Speaker 5: There's somebody out there they say, well, look, this is
- 25:15Speaker 5: one of those windows that has like the printed tint
- 25:18Speaker 5: on it.
- 25:19Speaker 4: You can see out, but you can't see in. Yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 4: but if you look at an angle, guess what it is.
- 25:25Speaker 4: An American flag. It's an American flag. American flag tint
- 25:28Speaker 4: on this thing. So I can't really see clear out.
- 25:30Speaker 4: I can see a little bit, so I saw the hat.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Can you imagine the face Taylor makes every time he
- 25:34Speaker 4: drives by this.
- 25:37Speaker 5: He probably like opens the window and tries to like
- 25:42Speaker 5: fart out the window or something towards it.
- 25:46Speaker 4: I was hoping you didn't, but you did.
- 25:47Speaker 2: But he probably does. That's what I'm saying.
- 25:52Speaker 5: And it's great because there is about a five second
- 25:54Speaker 5: delay between us and studio, so you can't defend himself,
- 25:58Speaker 5: which is excellent.
- 26:02Speaker 4: You know, he's just punching the air right now.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Oh he's got the fists.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Oh thet Arthur fists right now, for sure, no question
- 26:09Speaker 4: about it, No question about it.
- 26:11Speaker 5: Is dutchdown in a real city then, guys, there's just touchdowns
- 26:15Speaker 5: it like known as just touchdown.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Again.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Is there actually a city limit?
- 26:21Speaker 4: You keep asking Cassie and I, like, we're from here,
- 26:24Speaker 4: I'm asking some New Orleans.
- 26:25Speaker 5: I'm from Shreveport. I'm asking the work. I always thought
- 26:30Speaker 5: it was like at a city limit, but I don't know.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Maybe it's just a part of town, part of guysbern.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Cole call Austin Bane and if that starts, like where
- 26:45Speaker 4: does Gonzales start?
- 26:47Speaker 2: Other side of interstate. We're gonna figure this Out'm gonna
- 26:50Speaker 2: look up a.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Map, if there was only a tool that you could
- 26:52Speaker 4: use to look.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Up Sometimes maps aren't that clear.
- 26:57Speaker 4: I mean, my goodness, Well, regardless of what city we're
- 27:01Speaker 4: in and where it starts and where it ends again,
- 27:03Speaker 4: traffic is certainly picking up. They've given away a ton
- 27:06Speaker 4: of American flags. It is a very cool deal, and
- 27:09Speaker 4: they got five hundred and again, once they're gone, they
- 27:11Speaker 4: are gone. So we're going to play a little bit
- 27:14Speaker 4: of catch up here. So only a couple a minute
- 27:17Speaker 4: segment because we went along with the Will Wade and
- 27:19Speaker 4: the way this roster is being built for LSU basketball,
- 27:23Speaker 4: and it's a little bit of back and forth inside
- 27:26Speaker 4: the chat. And yeah, they probably if all these players play,
- 27:30Speaker 4: they probably are going to be really good. Like that's
- 27:32Speaker 4: the own court stuff. We're talking more about the the
- 27:35Speaker 4: objects of the off the court. And like one of
- 27:38Speaker 4: the questions that I would have is, Okay, if you
- 27:40Speaker 4: do it this way this year, how do you set
- 27:44Speaker 4: it up for next year? Like is this a one year? Hey,
- 27:48Speaker 4: we took this job, we had no players. LSU was bad,
- 27:52Speaker 4: bad over the last couple of years. This is the
- 27:54Speaker 4: only way we could do it. So this is how
- 27:56Speaker 4: we're going to do it this year. And then you
- 27:57Speaker 4: kind of go back to more of how we know
- 28:00Speaker 4: Will Wade to be able to format his roster, and
- 28:02Speaker 4: again he's gonna do He's gonna do big things in
- 28:04Speaker 4: the portal. He just is. That's who you know Will's
- 28:06Speaker 4: going to be. And then also you bring in two
- 28:09Speaker 4: high school recruits because remember, like he was elite at
- 28:12Speaker 4: high school recruiting when he was at LSU. Like, think
- 28:14Speaker 4: about all the players that he got here that we
- 28:17Speaker 4: were surprised that they got here. And you can make
- 28:19Speaker 4: all the jokes you want, I'm just telling you Will's
- 28:21Speaker 4: elite at high school recruiting. And certainly he's going to
- 28:24Speaker 4: be in the transfer portal nil era. So I wonder
- 28:27Speaker 4: if this is like a one year here's what it's
- 28:30Speaker 4: going to be them we'll hit reset. As far as
- 28:33Speaker 4: getting back to we've got time now in the portal,
- 28:36Speaker 4: We've got the job in the portal. We've had a
- 28:37Speaker 4: little bit of success on the court.
- 28:38Speaker 5: And you say he's going to be successful in the portal,
- 28:40Speaker 5: and I hope that he is, and he should be,
- 28:42Speaker 5: history says, but like at a certain point, like you're fighting.
- 28:48Speaker 5: The more enemies you make, the more people you fight
- 28:50Speaker 5: in the negative recruiting and all that, like that opinion.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Take you do you do?
- 28:56Speaker 2: I mean there're all of that everything.
- 28:58Speaker 4: That you're round to one thing though, dollars and cents.
- 29:05Speaker 4: I like, I'm not saying I want it that way.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Yeah, but and that and that is going to help
- 29:10Speaker 5: and it's going to work. But also if one offered
- 29:14Speaker 5: me one thing and another team's offer you the same.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Think think about Rick Patino, and there's people.
- 29:19Speaker 2: That can play on your the even playing field with
- 29:21Speaker 2: that life.
- 29:22Speaker 4: But think about Rick Patino and where like what he's
- 29:26Speaker 4: done in his career, people still play for him at
- 29:28Speaker 4: Saint John's. Again, this isn't me saying like I agree
- 29:32Speaker 4: with it. I'm just saying, dollars and cents talk.
- 29:37Speaker 2: And yeah they do. But there's going to be.
- 29:44Speaker 5: There's people on the equal playing field, right, And so
- 29:47Speaker 5: I still believe that it could jump up, like a
- 29:49Speaker 5: reputation is going to affect you one way or the
- 29:54Speaker 5: other at some point, and people are you keep giving
- 29:57Speaker 5: people ammunition to go against you and to negatively recruit
- 30:01Speaker 5: against you, and the dollar and cents are somewhat equal. Yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 5: it's going and it's going to negatively effect at some
- 30:09Speaker 5: point in the recruiting game.
- 30:11Speaker 2: So like, yes, he's got a history.
- 30:13Speaker 5: Of being awesome in the portal and being awesome at
- 30:15Speaker 5: recruiting high school kids, but he's also never recruited probably
- 30:22Speaker 5: against this many people that are going to be negatively
- 30:24Speaker 5: recruiting against them. Now he's never done that before. Reading
- 30:35Speaker 5: some of the chat here quick update at Dutchdown, I'm
- 30:38Speaker 5: reading unincorporated.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Daniel basham you really expect the show known
- 30:47Speaker 4: for not knowing geography to know the difference between guys
- 30:50Speaker 4: who were in Dutchdowns.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Sure it's fair. So that's just like a community. So
- 30:54Speaker 5: is it kind of like South Downs Ventories?
- 30:57Speaker 2: Like similar? Similar deal?
- 30:59Speaker 4: Sure? I don't know, all right, keep asking.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Well, I'm gonna keep asking pal so I get answers.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Flynn sounds like the guy that gets moved to the
- 31:11Speaker 4: friend zone after the first date. Slow down boy scout, Wow,
- 31:15Speaker 4: what does that mean? I don't know. Jimbo said it.
- 31:17Speaker 4: Not Jimbo Fisher.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Why would I get moved to the friend zone for which?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Take the Dutchdown take.
- 31:21Speaker 4: Now, I think he's pretty bad with basketball basketball team.
- 31:26Speaker 2: I don't want to do.
- 31:27Speaker 4: I don't want to You can't negative recruit two million
- 31:31Speaker 4: dollars to come play, well, he can, Matt. To Matt's point,
- 31:35Speaker 4: he's saying, there's gonna be other teams with two million dollars.
- 31:38Speaker 5: Yeah, at some point it's going to be an even decision. No,
- 31:45Speaker 5: not for everybody. You'll be able to offer more, just
- 31:48Speaker 5: saying at some point it's gonna catch up to you.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Right, I just don't know, Like I want to know
- 31:52Speaker 4: if this is the plan moving forward because we're seeing
- 31:55Speaker 4: this now, or if it's going to be back to
- 31:57Speaker 4: how they've always built a roster after things get more
- 32:03Speaker 4: solidified because of how bad they've been. That's my biggest question.
- 32:08Speaker 4: All Right, again, we went really long in that first segment.
- 32:11Speaker 4: We'll go ahead and we will take a break here.
- 32:13Speaker 4: We've got more OTB coming to you from FABT when
- 32:16Speaker 4: we come back.
- 32:18Speaker 9: Mop the bench, Mop the bench, all right.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Go to trash rangers dot com. Trash rangers dot Com

- 34:13Speaker 2: Hey, what's up? What's up?
- 34:14Speaker 4: What's happening?
- 34:15Speaker 2: Just feeling super America.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Man, I was watching the videos of Shearing striking people
- 34:19Speaker 4: out and then the hot mic.
- 34:21Speaker 5: Yeah, the hot mic was awesome. It was scorching hot,
- 34:24Speaker 5: scorching hot. A lot of microphones out there yesterday my job,
- 34:28Speaker 5: and I rather enjoyed it.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Man.
- 34:31Speaker 5: Sure probably don't want to be watching some of that
- 34:34Speaker 5: with the children.
- 34:37Speaker 2: He's getting after it. He likes see a little passion
- 34:38Speaker 2: out there.
- 34:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's passionate game. It's passionate player.
- 34:44Speaker 2: She don't turn the mics on.
- 34:45Speaker 4: She don't turn mics on.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Why would you make him on? Like what?
- 34:49Speaker 4: Like they had like fifty mics. I was just that's
- 34:51Speaker 4: what I was actually watching that fifty mics like around
- 34:55Speaker 4: like the dugouts and a lot of boomsticks out booms.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe not turn them on in a big time situation.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Yeah, and if a player has already done it twice,
- 35:06Speaker 4: maybe like you know, let's field, MIC's off.
- 35:10Speaker 5: It's starting to become a trend. Yeah, he's he likes
- 35:13Speaker 5: doing it, he likes he's feeling it.
- 35:15Speaker 4: He's feeling it. He's probably pretty well.
- 35:16Speaker 5: He's probably going to do it louder with the more strikeout,
- 35:20Speaker 5: with the more strikeouts, the more confidence.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, you know, just a couple of red, red
- 35:27Speaker 2: blooded American.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Males out there, you know, just competitive, competitive nature. It's
- 35:34Speaker 4: a big it's a big fellow too.
- 35:35Speaker 5: So yeah, I mean people that get a little butt
- 35:38Speaker 5: hurt about people saying that on the on the diamond,
- 35:41Speaker 5: on any field, I think you've never been there.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Ye must have never done it.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Yeah any yeah, mm hmm. I was micd up one
- 35:53Speaker 4: time in the NFL and it was miserable.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Oh yeah, don't they don't say what you normally would
- 36:01Speaker 5: always we'd always talk about yeah, yeah, everybody's always walking
- 36:04Speaker 5: around the sideline pointing yeah, yeah, don't do that, don't
- 36:08Speaker 5: do that.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Then I also had to tell them, hey, when you're
- 36:12Speaker 4: in the thick of it and the rugby scrum of
- 36:14Speaker 4: like a twenty ISO and you know, there's like boom,
- 36:17Speaker 4: you know, and then if you won the ISO battle,
- 36:20Speaker 4: don't say what you normally would say yes, yes, although
- 36:24Speaker 4: I mean they take care of you, and they always
- 36:25Speaker 4: say like then when they mike you up, hey, we're
- 36:27Speaker 4: gonna take care of you, like whatever. You know, if
- 36:29Speaker 4: you curse or if you're talking trash or if you
- 36:32Speaker 4: low blow a guy, you know with trash talk, don't worry,
- 36:35Speaker 4: like we got you. We're not gonna put that out there.
- 36:37Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, cool, cool, cool, But that that lives,
- 36:41Speaker 4: that exists.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's uh.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that recording is still there.
- 36:46Speaker 5: That's black Melt material right there for sure. So don't
- 36:49Speaker 5: talk about anything about anyone's families. Yeah, yep, yeah, stop,
- 36:59Speaker 5: I'll stop, I'll did you.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Did you ever have to do it? Get miked up?
- 37:03Speaker 4: We played the Sea We played the Seahawks in Seattle
- 37:06Speaker 4: one year, and I did it was.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Interesting they had was it any like type situations because
- 37:15Speaker 5: sometimes like you know, you're gonna be a lot, there
- 37:17Speaker 5: are people and like you'd go up to somebody, like
- 37:19Speaker 5: players would come up and not knowing that someone was
- 37:21Speaker 5: miked up. Yeah, and then after they've already gotten some
- 37:23Speaker 5: words out, then they get the chest point like hey,
- 37:26Speaker 5: I'm miked up here, and then they got and they
- 37:28Speaker 5: just kind of walk away.
- 37:29Speaker 4: I'm not gonna say teammates names, but that happened. Oh yeah,
- 37:32Speaker 4: I mean you try like you like a single point
- 37:34Speaker 4: to it. Like anyways, they had a linebacker pool. We
- 37:38Speaker 4: were talking trash to each other. He was he was
- 37:41Speaker 4: a specific islander. This would have been like around twenty ten.
- 37:44Speaker 4: I don't really remember. He probably played at usc maybe Washington,
- 37:48Speaker 4: I don't know, but those those islanders some tough on,
- 37:54Speaker 4: no doubt, tougher in a two dollars steak. It was
- 37:57Speaker 4: a battle. It was fun. I got fine fire five
- 38:00Speaker 4: grand in that game for a play that didn't end
- 38:04Speaker 4: up in a penalty. But they went back and reviewed
- 38:06Speaker 4: the tape and then gave me five grand because my
- 38:08Speaker 4: hand started on his jersey and went up to his
- 38:11Speaker 4: face mask. Can't do that, buddy, five grand illegal. It
- 38:14Speaker 4: wasn't a penalty. I didn't call it. You could hurt someone,
- 38:16Speaker 4: they ain't call it.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Didn't didn't get fine for any verbal abuse.
- 38:24Speaker 4: You gave him no, no, and he get fined for
- 38:26Speaker 4: any he gave me.
- 38:27Speaker 5: What if they came back and started finding people for
- 38:29Speaker 5: verbal abuse basic only the hot mine, I would broke
- 38:34Speaker 5: mm hmm, because I.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Like to talk out there. I don't know how you were.
- 38:37Speaker 5: I had a churple a bit. I mean it's hard
- 38:39Speaker 5: to quarterbacks don't chirp all something. Some quarterbacks you don't
- 38:42Speaker 5: have time to chirp. Now, if you scramble or if
- 38:46Speaker 5: like you make a big play down the field and
- 38:47Speaker 5: somebody hits you, you can talk a little bit, like
- 38:51Speaker 5: a little bit, but.
- 38:53Speaker 4: No Philip would get Norm would be like fella out
- 39:00Speaker 4: there on the hash talking with them. Guy used to
- 39:03Speaker 4: love it. And it was so y'all think that's a
- 39:04Speaker 4: good blpz. Y'all think that's a good blitz to put
- 39:07Speaker 4: on tape. It was so clean, It was not nothing malicious.
- 39:13Speaker 4: It was just you think that's a good blitz.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Practice up, that's why shirt up and everything.
- 39:18Speaker 4: That's what he'd say, like, I'll practice And then still
- 39:20Speaker 4: ran it in kind of that tone too for the
- 39:27Speaker 4: most part. Uh again, all right, we are here at
- 39:30Speaker 4: First American Bank and trust in, guys, we're gonna be
- 39:33Speaker 4: here all show long. Now we are forty five minutes
- 39:37Speaker 4: and I'm actually okay. When we get a flat count,

- 39:42Speaker 4: big flag, man, that is a big flag.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Like they're like, it's a legit flag. It's not one
- 39:46Speaker 2: of the wooden.
- 39:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, what we should like. And those are great
- 39:50Speaker 4: because they're American flags. There's no bad American flag, but
- 39:52Speaker 4: it's not the small one on the little wooden. Show
- 39:57Speaker 4: it here, we'll pull it out. You can't touch the ground. Well, basically,
- 40:00Speaker 4: gotta be careful. Obviously, we'll go get a flag. Hendler, Well,

- 40:17Speaker 4: not headed this way, you should send somebody to head
- 40:19Speaker 4: this way because it feels like the parking lot has
- 40:21Speaker 4: been packed. Yeah, park ever since. We're really about seven
- 40:25Speaker 4: forty am is when it started to fill up. All right,
- 40:28Speaker 4: we will take a break. We'll get your flag count,
- 40:30Speaker 4: and we'll let you know how many we have left
- 40:33Speaker 4: and how quickly you should get here. And we'll do
- 40:35Speaker 4: all that when we jump back here on OTB.

- 43:51Speaker 5: Little north other side of the interstate to north Prairieville,
- 43:55Speaker 5: due north. This side of interstate geismer Yeah, and then
- 44:00Speaker 5: Gonzales starts somewhere over there. We hadn't got that completely
- 44:04Speaker 5: clear yet. Other side of inter State Praierville Duch Sound unincorporated.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Yeah, just as a school, Yeah, absolutely, Yeah. It's an area.
- 44:18Speaker 5: It's an area exactly an area of guysmer there you go.
- 44:24Speaker 2: I think you guys were pretty big, pretty big little spot. Yeah.
- 44:29Speaker 2: I think you got it nailed. You're good, so hand
- 44:33Speaker 2: in the air.
- 44:33Speaker 5: I thought guys were started a little bit further south,
- 44:37Speaker 5: maybe like south of seventy four, maybe like the Highway
- 44:41Speaker 5: thirty one area.
- 44:42Speaker 2: That's kind of where I thought it was like a
- 44:43Speaker 2: lot of the plants, I got.
- 44:45Speaker 4: You, But I sound home of a lot of great
- 44:47Speaker 4: football players. You mentioned a Lacy Landon Collins. Oh yeah,
- 44:50Speaker 4: we uh reed, brothers. Okay, justin an Eric Okay, pretty
- 44:55Speaker 4: good football players. Sure we're forgetting some probably so bang

- 45:04Speaker 4: You think Austin played football.
- 45:06Speaker 2: He was a little slight.
- 45:09Speaker 4: He's a heck of a baseball player for Dutchdown, and.
- 45:12Speaker 2: I'm sure he was a heck of a player for Dutchdown.
- 45:15Speaker 4: But no, he did not play football.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Didn't have the ass, that's what you're saying.
- 45:24Speaker 4: Exactly. Yeah, frame not really built for that, not really
- 45:28Speaker 4: built for that. So yeah, you don't think he was.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Going to tackle Eddie Lacy in practice?
- 45:34Speaker 4: Probably not hitting pretty hard, probably not, and probably not.
- 45:38Speaker 4: That sounds one of the schools that like it feels
- 45:41Speaker 4: like eventually, like once they get it figured out because
- 45:44Speaker 4: they've had so much talent. There's such a big school,
- 45:47Speaker 4: I'm gonna make a run to a state championship. Kind
- 45:49Speaker 4: Of hard to believe they haven't the players I just
- 45:52Speaker 4: listed off a lot of those guys kind of in
- 45:54Speaker 4: the same era too. Maybe this is the year you're
- 45:58Speaker 4: telling me there's a chance, Oh they hydrate, not a
- 46:02Speaker 4: big deal. Hey, if you want to be hydrated. What

- 46:23Speaker 5: it is, it is absolute controlled pick.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Me up for work. It was like the same three
- 46:27Speaker 4: bottles that were always I.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Mean it's sometimes not controlled.
- 46:30Speaker 4: With water in them, I want to add, not empty.
- 46:34Speaker 2: What's the point of an empty bottle?
- 46:38Speaker 4: Well, you if it has water and you probably want
- 46:40Speaker 4: to like take it in.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. It's a great point.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Yeah, So put some hats and shirts in your car.
- 46:50Speaker 5: And shirts, well, we definitely have shirts and I used
- 46:53Speaker 5: to have my car full.
