Burgaw Middle School welcomes its new principal, Jeremy Mortensen, officially approved by the school board on July 21. With over 15 years of education leadership—including stints in New Hanover County and California—Mortensen brings a wealth of experience from his most recent role as assistant principal at Topsail Middle School. He’s eager to build strong relationships and support students and staff, a focus praised by the superintendent as key to his selection.
