- 1:11Speaker 10: Hi, this is Tom Atkins. You're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:19Speaker 9: It's time for Sofa Theater.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Hi. Hello.
- 1:30Speaker 7: My name's Ellie Grimbridge.
- 1:31Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:33Speaker 11: Dan Chalice.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:34Speaker 12: One of the nurses told me I could find you here.
- 1:38Speaker 7: I saw you at the funeral.
- 1:39Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 1:41Speaker 9: I'm sorry about your father.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Did my father say anything to you the night he died?
- 1:48Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 6: He said, tell Ellie I love her.
- 1:58Speaker 14: Bad liar.
- 2:00Speaker 9: Thank you anyway.
- 2:03Speaker 11: Wait a second.
- 2:07Speaker 15: I saw something that night.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:10Speaker 15: Your father came into the hospital. I thought he was crazy,
- 2:13Speaker 15: out of his mind. He's hanging on to a Halloween mask.
- 2:16Speaker 15: He wouldn't let it go. And what he said was,
- 2:18Speaker 15: they're going to kill us all. And in a little while,
- 2:21Speaker 15: he was dead. And I don't know what the hell
- 2:24Speaker 15: is going on.
- 2:44Speaker 8: Your vampire things are wrong.
- 3:08Speaker 9: They're protruding outward.
- 3:10Speaker 6: I have.
- 3:11Speaker 9: You're a buck two vampire.
- 3:12Speaker 10: I have a problem.
- 3:15Speaker 6: I need an orthodontist.
- 3:17Speaker 7: Aw, I just realized other things that I watched this week.
- 3:21Speaker 6: Because we needed it.
- 3:22Speaker 9: To be longer.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:28Speaker 9: I'm coming down for my sugar high.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Eat more candy.
- 3:32Speaker 7: I actually committed to not eat any more candy, but
- 3:35Speaker 7: I did.
- 3:36Speaker 6: I don't believe it.
- 3:37Speaker 7: The dark chocolate is too sweet.
- 3:39Speaker 9: I hate dark chocolate.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Welcome to Movie Meltdown Silver Theater. Once again, I am Brian.
- 3:45Speaker 9: I am still Misty, and I am still awesome.
- 3:51Speaker 7: Still Misty, still awesome. I'm not Misty.
- 3:54Speaker 6: No, that's not what I was saying. You just introduced yourself.
- 3:56Speaker 7: I was repeating. I was repeating.
- 3:58Speaker 2: It's all right.
- 3:59Speaker 9: I understand everybody wants to be like me.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Marlena, not Misty. Marlena, I was not saying that I
- 4:05Speaker 3: was Misty. I was repeating her.
- 4:07Speaker 7: I was quoting her. To be fair.
- 4:11Speaker 9: Okay.
- 4:12Speaker 7: Marlena, though.
- 4:14Speaker 9: Oh.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Oh, now I'm confused. Welcome to our spooky return to
- 4:21Speaker 6: the Halloween episode. Woo-hoo. Whee!
- 4:23Speaker 3: I feel like if you would have given me some time,
- 4:25Speaker 3: I could have come up with a better name for this.
- 4:29Speaker 6: You've had a year.
- 4:30Speaker 9: I've got five seconds. Go.
- 4:33Speaker 6: You've had since last time we did this, so. I
- 4:36Speaker 6: gotta rock.
- 4:37Speaker 9: All right, we're ready to get into this, uh.
- 4:40Speaker 11: Not yet.
- 4:41Speaker 8: Exciting adventure?
- 4:42Speaker 3: No.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Aw.
- 4:43Speaker 6: This week's Silver Theater feature is Halloween 3, Season of
- 4:46Speaker 6: the Witch.
- 4:47Speaker 7: Ooh, ooh, scare-a-thon. Scare-a-thon, I just thought of it.
- 4:51Speaker 6: But we only watched one movie. It would be awesome
- 4:55Speaker 6: if it were a string of movies and we would
- 4:57Speaker 6: watch a scare-a-thon, but.
- 4:59Speaker 7: Let's save that for next year. Scare-a-thon.
- 5:02Speaker 6: I can barely get you guys to watch one movie.
- 5:06Speaker 7: I saw tons of movies this week.
- 5:08Speaker 6: Yeah, but you didn't want to be around me.
- 5:11Speaker 7: No, but Spectacular.
- 5:13Speaker 9: Scare-tacular.
- 5:14Speaker 7: Scare-tacular. This is not the same thing.
- 5:18Speaker 9: At least I'm trying.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I know.
- 5:21Speaker 6: I gotta rock. The year is 1982. Director Tommy Lee Wallace.
- 5:26Speaker 6: The plot, and I'm going to go ahead and throw
- 5:27Speaker 6: the spoiler alert right now because the plot, courtesy of IMDb,
- 5:31Speaker 6: already totally spoiled what I guess really if you were
- 5:34Speaker 6: Completely clueless, you wouldn't find out until midway into this movie.
- 5:38Speaker 6: According to IMDb, a large Halloween mask-making company has plans
- 5:42Speaker 6: to kill millions of American children with something sinister hidden
- 5:44Speaker 6: in the Halloween mask. Yeah, they just spilled the whole
- 5:47Speaker 6: thing right there. Thanks, IMDb. But before we get into it,
- 5:51Speaker 6: it's time for... So let's swing the vault door wide
- 5:56Speaker 6: open and invite Mr. Tom Adkins into our little Halloween
- 5:59Speaker 6: festivities here. So here's what Tom has to say about
- 6:02Speaker 6: Halloween 3.
- 6:04Speaker 10: Oh, Halloween 3 was a lot of fun. That was
- 6:07Speaker 10: a good time. Some people don't like it because it
- 6:10Speaker 10: doesn't have Michael Myers in it, but it was John
- 6:13Speaker 10: Carpenter's intention to shoot an anthology of Halloween movies from
- 6:17Speaker 10: the beginning. Have everyone be a different story. But they
- 6:22Speaker 10: had done, you know, one exploded and Michael Myers was
- 6:26Speaker 10: the man and they did two, but Halloween 3 was
- 6:30Speaker 10: already in the shoot and the producer said, Well, go ahead, yes,
- 6:34Speaker 10: you make that one, but don't ever make another one
- 6:37Speaker 10: that doesn't have Michael Myers.
- 6:39Speaker 6: It seems like it's gotten a lot more appreciation as
- 6:42Speaker 6: time's gone on.
- 6:42Speaker 11: There's a lot of people I know that are just.
- 6:44Speaker 10: Oh, I know, a lot of people like it. It's
- 6:46Speaker 10: a good, it stands up on its own. It's a
- 6:49Speaker 10: fun film to watch on Halloween, and I think because
- 6:53Speaker 10: it doesn't have Michael Myers in it, that it's different.
- 6:56Speaker 10: It's not the usual slasher, gasher thing.
- 7:00Speaker 14: It's good.
- 7:01Speaker 9: See the one who shot Keanu Reeves in the face?
- 7:03Speaker 6: You're so obsessed with that. And I'm pretty sure it's
- 7:06Speaker 6: not Keanu Reeves. It's Nicolas Cage.
- 7:08Speaker 9: Either way, I don't like either one. I'm still fucking both.
- 7:10Speaker 9: Line them up side by side, knock.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Them both out. That's not in this movie at all.
- 7:16Speaker 9: It should be. It'd make every movie better.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Well, thank you to Tom for, you know, not only
- 7:20Speaker 6: his thoughts on it, but for explaining to everyone why
- 7:23Speaker 6: this movie is so weird within the series. Because I
- 7:26Speaker 6: was explaining to Marlena as she came to the end
- 7:28Speaker 6: of the movie and was like, what the fuck? Where's
- 7:30Speaker 6: Michael Myers? I tried to give at least the basics
- 7:34Speaker 6: of what Carpenter's Plan originally was and how they scrapped
- 7:38Speaker 6: that whole idea.
- 7:38Speaker 9: How they realized it sucked as an idea.
- 7:40Speaker 7: I think it would have been a great idea.
- 7:44Speaker 6: I can see that.
- 7:44Speaker 3: At least a different Halloween movie about a scary Halloween thing.
- 7:49Speaker 9: I think it's the one that became so ingrained being
- 7:51Speaker 9: Michael Myers.
- 7:52Speaker 7: Yeah, that was just so iconic. It was so integral.
- 7:56Speaker 6: Oh, God.
- 7:56Speaker 9: Fancy words. Look at you.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I was trying to spell, because everyone says, and it's
- 8:02Speaker 3: not just me. I caught this from somewhere. People say integral.
- 8:07Speaker 3: And I was like, how do you spell that?
- 8:09Speaker 7: And I looked up. That's not a word. That's just
- 8:11Speaker 7: what everyone thinks it is.
- 8:12Speaker 6: Integral.
- 8:13Speaker 7: Integral. I-N-T-E-G-R-A-L.
- 8:15Speaker 9: That's why.
- 8:16Speaker 6: There you go.
- 8:17Speaker 9: It's going to be grammarizing all you bitches.
- 8:19Speaker 7: It's going to be grammarizing all you bitches.
- 8:22Speaker 6: This show has now become educational programming and we need
- 8:25Speaker 6: some sort of kickback from the government.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I feel really dumb for ever having to look up
- 8:29Speaker 3: how to spell that and not knowing.
- 8:31Speaker 6: It as a word.
- 8:31Speaker 9: That's why I don't use that word. I don't use
- 8:35Speaker 9: words that I'm not 100% sure of their meanings.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Oh, that's all it means.
- 8:38Speaker 9: And I bitch at those that do.
- 8:39Speaker 6: I don't know what any of these words mean.
- 8:41Speaker 7: I know what the word means.
- 8:42Speaker 6: I like it that way.
- 8:43Speaker 16: But, yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 8:47Speaker 6: I think it would have worked. That's the thing. If
- 8:49Speaker 6: the first one wouldn't have been Halloween, if it wouldn't
- 8:52Speaker 6: have been the Michael Myers kickoff awesome fucking movie that
- 8:55Speaker 6: it was, if the first one would have been along
- 8:58Speaker 6: the level of this movie, I think it could have
- 9:00Speaker 6: become a series like this. I think it is the
- 9:03Speaker 6: first Halloween. It's phenomenal. It changed the entire horror world.
- 9:08Speaker 6: So it's really hard to then try to bait and
- 9:11Speaker 6: switch people and change it up midway in and be like, Hey,
- 9:15Speaker 6: remember that series you liked? Here's number three. We're just
- 9:17Speaker 6: going to slap a number on the end, but we're
- 9:19Speaker 6: not going to have anything to do with the other movies.
- 9:22Speaker 9: It might have even worked better if it hadn't had
- 9:24Speaker 9: one and two with the same characters.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Or just, why didn't they just call it Halloween Season
- 9:28Speaker 6: of the Witch? Like, if they tried to, right off
- 9:31Speaker 6: the bat, pretend like, okay, this isn't really part of
- 9:33Speaker 6: that series. The fact that they fucking numbered it three
- 9:36Speaker 6: in the series... even though it had nothing to do
- 9:38Speaker 6: with one and two. That was their mistake. It's like
- 9:40Speaker 6: if they just made it like these other ones that
- 9:43Speaker 6: they do, they just give a sub name to, and
- 9:45Speaker 6: then it becomes sort of its own little standalone movie.
- 9:47Speaker 6: But yeah, this one, the numbering it was a bad idea.
- 9:51Speaker 7: I was wondering about this.
- 9:52Speaker 3: You know how if you buy, you can buy like sets,
- 9:55Speaker 3: you know, like you can buy a like Freddy Krueger set.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 3: If you buy a halloween set is this in it
- 10:02Speaker 3: i haven't sure.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Well no i mean it's still it's part of their
- 10:06Speaker 6: arc of movies i mean it's the same studio it's
- 10:08Speaker 6: the same you know producer involved in all of them
- 10:11Speaker 6: so i mean it it's still sort of along the
- 10:14Speaker 6: same lines but to me it's yeah it's kind of
- 10:16Speaker 6: weird How it never comes into play other than the
- 10:19Speaker 6: fact that the movie exists within the fake movie or
- 10:23Speaker 6: vice versa. That's pretty funny. We can get to that later.
- 10:27Speaker 12: All right.
- 10:27Speaker 6: Where would you like to begin with this one?
- 10:29Speaker 9: The fucking cheesy intro thing with the fucking computer girl
- 10:33Speaker 9: i was mad.
- 10:33Speaker 6: At that i'm like marlena specifically said she hated it.
- 10:36Speaker 9: I was like dude not only that it was stupid
- 10:39Speaker 9: but the fact that it fucking went on for fucking
- 10:42Speaker 9: ever i'm just like it's a little lengthy and then
- 10:45Speaker 9: i was like oh it's a jack o'lantern it's a
- 10:46Speaker 9: jack o'lantern i was really i felt proud of myself
- 10:49Speaker 9: for figuring it out how long did it take you
- 10:51Speaker 9: like I don't know. Right before you saw it was
- 10:54Speaker 9: a jack-o'-lantern.
- 10:55Speaker 6: No, it was not.
- 10:56Speaker 9: The scene where it started flashing.
- 10:58Speaker 6: You ID'd it at that point. It's a jack-o'-lantern.
- 11:02Speaker 9: No, it was five seconds after they showed it.
- 11:05Speaker 3: It was when I noticed that the little black thing
- 11:07Speaker 3: went up into a point of my mouth.
- 11:10Speaker 9: I was like, really? This is stupid. It started off
- 11:13Speaker 9: at that point where I was just like, I don't
- 11:15Speaker 9: like this already.
- 11:16Speaker 6: It went on too long, but I will give them
- 11:18Speaker 6: it is a jack-o'-lantern for the computer age. It became,
- 11:21Speaker 6: and as the story goes on, it's actually very fitting,
- 11:24Speaker 6: I think. Again, it's way too long and kind of
- 11:27Speaker 6: drawn out. But yeah, as the story plays out, it
- 11:31Speaker 6: seems like a fitting intro, actually. And probably because it
- 11:34Speaker 6: annoyed you, so did the rest of the movie.
- 11:36Speaker 7: It went on too long.
- 11:37Speaker 6: It did go on way too long. But a lot
- 11:39Speaker 6: of opening titles seem to drag on. They just don't
- 11:42Speaker 6: stay on the same little weird image graphics. It was
- 11:45Speaker 6: like that.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Thing in Star Wars Episode I or in Harry Potter.
- 11:49Speaker 3: the race scene that went on too long.
- 11:51Speaker 6: The pod race is ridiculously too long or shouldn't be
- 11:55Speaker 6: in there when you take your pitch match that went
- 11:57Speaker 6: on too long oh that did too oh god that
- 12:00Speaker 6: first quidditch match is like how many days that goes
- 12:04Speaker 6: on forever yeah neither of which are in this movie
- 12:07Speaker 6: all right so um i.
- 12:09Speaker 9: Didn't like the music that much it seemed it was
- 12:11Speaker 9: too monotonous and over i can understand it It seemed
- 12:14Speaker 9: like it was trying to build tension with the way
- 12:16Speaker 9: it was just like... But then it just went on
- 12:19Speaker 9: and on and on and on and on. That damn song.
- 12:22Speaker 9: It just kept going and going.
- 12:23Speaker 6: That's a different thing. But the music itself... I mean,
- 12:26Speaker 6: Carpenter co-wrote... He's co-credited for the original music. And you
- 12:30Speaker 6: can hear it.
- 12:30Speaker 9: There's not a lot of fucking writing going on. It's
- 12:32Speaker 9: the same thing over and over and over again.
- 12:33Speaker 6: But you can hear it. The stuff that he's known
- 12:36Speaker 6: for that's really good, I hear in there.
- 12:38Speaker 11: But then.
- 12:38Speaker 6: I'll go along with you. There's moments... There's the moment...
- 12:42Speaker 6: To jump ahead towards where he's, like, on the run,
- 12:44Speaker 6: trying to get away from the cars and stuff. Dude,
- 12:46Speaker 6: and that whole segment, it sounds like there's a smoke
- 12:48Speaker 6: alarm going off for, like, five minutes. And I'm just like,
- 12:51Speaker 6: what are you doing?
- 12:52Speaker 7: That's what I was like, what is that?
- 12:53Speaker 6: I was like, are you just, have you sampled a
- 12:56Speaker 6: smoke alarm and you're just playing with it on your SK1?
- 12:58Speaker 6: I mean, what the fuck are you doing, John?
- 13:00Speaker 7: I thought it was part of the movie. I was like,
- 13:01Speaker 7: what's going on?
- 13:02Speaker 3: I know.
- 13:02Speaker 6: Really, like, it went on so long, I was like,
- 13:04Speaker 6: I was trying to decide if it was something that
- 13:06Speaker 6: was actually going on within the movie. And finally it
- 13:09Speaker 6: faded off with the music. I was like, oh. Okay,
- 13:13Speaker 6: I'm not on board with you on that one. But
- 13:14Speaker 6: there's moments where you can hear it is John Carpenter.
- 13:17Speaker 6: You can hear the very... Because he is kind of
- 13:20Speaker 6: known for that sort of plotted out, very repetitive... synthy
- 13:26Speaker 6: but not like bad synthy it was kind of some
- 13:28Speaker 6: of the cooler synths you could get it just seems
- 13:30Speaker 6: overused but it yeah there's moments that it's actually over
- 13:34Speaker 6: the top too sometimes like sometimes he uses it really
- 13:37Speaker 6: well and it does build tension because right at the
- 13:39Speaker 6: jump scare moment it does the little and it kind
- 13:41Speaker 6: of blares out at you and it works it takes.
- 13:43Speaker 9: Too long to build up with it though it's like
- 13:45Speaker 9: you have that same fucking sound clip for like 10
- 13:49Speaker 9: minutes and you're like alright just fucking get to it
- 13:51Speaker 9: already what what what just fucking hell.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Yeah I have issues with the music. Again, there's parts
- 14:00Speaker 6: of it that are good that I do hear the
- 14:01Speaker 6: John Carpenter in. It's a score. It's a score.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I just pretty much did not like this movie at all.
- 14:11Speaker 3: There are a couple of things I liked about it.
- 14:14Speaker 6: I think it's one of those I thought I'd seen.
- 14:18Speaker 6: It's another one of those that I went back and
- 14:20Speaker 6: I thought I'd seen bits and pieces of it on
- 14:21Speaker 6: cable growing up and stuff. I went back and watched
- 14:24Speaker 6: it this week and I was just like, I do
- 14:26Speaker 6: not remember any of this. I really don't think I
- 14:29Speaker 6: ever sat down and watched even parts of it.
- 14:32Speaker 9: I know for a fact that I watched it because
- 14:33Speaker 9: me and my mom and my stepdad said we watched
- 14:36Speaker 9: all the Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, all these movies. We
- 14:38Speaker 9: sat down and watched them all. I know I've seen
- 14:41Speaker 9: this Why do I not remember?
- 14:42Speaker 7: It's just forgettable.
- 14:44Speaker 9: It's extremely forgettable.
- 14:45Speaker 5: I guess.
- 14:46Speaker 6: Because I remember we went back and re-watched 2 right
- 14:49Speaker 6: before Halloween H2O came out because that one picks up
- 14:52Speaker 6: where 2 leaves off, basically. Again, in the weird messing
- 14:56Speaker 6: up the arc of the story, they almost pretend like
- 14:58Speaker 6: all the other movies in between 2 and H2O don't exist. Yeah,
- 15:02Speaker 6: they can't make up their mind what they want to
- 15:03Speaker 6: do with this storyline.
- 15:04Speaker 9: The most terrifying part with me was the whole little
- 15:07Speaker 9: village of redheads, the Scottish town. Scottish or Irish? They
- 15:10Speaker 9: were Irish. irish whatever the fuck they were it was
- 15:12Speaker 9: a nightmare town in this movie yes did you sleep
- 15:15Speaker 9: during that part too i didn't sleep at all was
- 15:17Speaker 9: i asleep during that part did i just dream it.
- 15:19Speaker 6: No because i remember at one point i was like
- 15:21Speaker 6: ah let's blame it on the irish i see all
- 15:24Speaker 6: the evils of the world let's blame the.
- 15:25Speaker 9: Irish redheaded kid that died i was like fucking i.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Was thinking that when i saw that kid come in
- 15:30Speaker 6: i was like oh now that kid yeah but i
- 15:32Speaker 6: mean he was an obnoxious kid regardless of hair color
- 15:35Speaker 6: he was an obnoxious little child.
- 15:36Speaker 9: The movie just seemed kind of one other thing that
- 15:40Speaker 9: really bothered me the color of tom adkins hair the
- 15:44Speaker 9: just married it seemed really badly dyed or like it
- 15:46Speaker 9: was a wig.
- 15:47Speaker 6: I just couldn't decide if that was like right at
- 15:49Speaker 6: that point where he was like going gray but like
- 15:53Speaker 6: the mustache hasn't caught up yet so it was like.
- 15:55Speaker 9: Because i mean it was badly dyed or.
- 15:58Speaker 6: It could have been trying to cover up that i
- 15:59Speaker 6: don't even know for sure but i do have to
- 16:01Speaker 6: say with with tom it's like I actually like him more.
- 16:06Speaker 6: I mean, we just watched him in Night of the Creeps,
- 16:07Speaker 6: and everybody loves him. I mean, that's an iconic character
- 16:10Speaker 6: in Night of the Creeps. I think he's a lot
- 16:11Speaker 6: more likable in this movie, which is odd because he's
- 16:14Speaker 6: sort of a horrible person.
- 16:16Speaker 2: He is.
- 16:16Speaker 9: He's a shitty father.
- 16:17Speaker 6: He's a terrible father.
- 16:19Speaker 9: He's the worst dad I've ever seen in my entire
- 16:21Speaker 9: fucking life.
- 16:22Speaker 11: Linda, I can't get out of it.
- 16:24Speaker 10: I'm really sorry.
- 16:25Speaker 15: No, it's just a bunch of doctors talking about boring stuff.
- 16:28Speaker 5: I can't get out of it.
- 16:30Speaker 14: Linda, Linda, take it easy.
- 16:32Speaker 12: I'll be back to take them trick-or-treating, I promise. I'll call.
- 16:37Speaker 11: No, I can't remember the name of the hotel. I'll
- 16:39Speaker 11: call you Monday. I gotta go.
- 16:40Speaker 9: Bye.
- 16:42Speaker 6: And it took me, like, the second time I watched
- 16:43Speaker 6: it before I realized what a fucking drunk he is.
- 16:46Speaker 3: No, I noticed that, like, right off the bat. I
- 16:48Speaker 3: was just like, yeah, this guy's kind of a deadbeat alcoholic, right?
- 16:52Speaker 6: I knew he was a deadbeat dad, but it took me, like,
- 16:54Speaker 6: that third time when I really realized, like, almost every
- 16:57Speaker 6: scene you see him in that's not... In the middle
- 17:00Speaker 6: of an action segment, he's got a drink in his hand.
- 17:04Speaker 9: How about that slutty-ass girl? Here she is going to
- 17:06Speaker 9: find out what happened to her dad. As soon as
- 17:09Speaker 9: their trip starts, she's fucking naked.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Well, they go from zero to making out like that.
- 17:14Speaker 9: That's another thing that pissed me off. Bitch jumps straight
- 17:16Speaker 9: out of the shower, grabs her towel, barely pats off,
- 17:18Speaker 9: then wraps the blanket. Her ass is still wet. Don't
- 17:21Speaker 9: put a fucking blanket around your wet ass because if
- 17:23Speaker 9: you're going to use it on the blanket later, it's
- 17:24Speaker 9: going to be a mildewy.
- 17:26Speaker 6: See, it's sad that I was kind of like, well,
- 17:28Speaker 6: that's a bad idea. Dry yourself off?
- 17:31Speaker 9: Are you that fucking incompetent that you cannot fully dry
- 17:33Speaker 9: yourself with a towel first?
- 17:34Speaker 6: She's kind of special. She's a slut. That too. But
- 17:38Speaker 6: then Tom kind of is too.
- 17:40Speaker 9: How old are you anyways? I'm older than I look.
- 17:44Speaker 6: I'll get to that later. I'm not so sure about
- 17:46Speaker 6: that one.
- 17:47Speaker 11: Let's see.
- 17:48Speaker 6: I was trying to see what other stuff I just
- 17:49Speaker 6: sort of noticed along the way.
- 17:50Speaker 9: One other thing I never needed to see.
- 17:53Speaker 6: Tom's ass? I'm along with you on that one. Tom
- 17:56Speaker 6: seems like a great guy, but I didn't need to
- 17:58Speaker 6: see his ass.
- 17:58Speaker 9: Better than Dennis Franz's ass.
- 18:01Speaker 6: Better than Jeffrey Harvey Keitel's ass. Everybody's seen all of these.
- 18:03Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 18:08Speaker 6: So, yeah, this was definitely taking a trip back. It
- 18:12Speaker 6: was back in the day, back when, number one, people
- 18:14Speaker 6: knew what a pager was, and only doctors had them.
- 18:17Speaker 6: And then, also.
- 18:19Speaker 7: Only doctors have pagers now.
- 18:21Speaker 9: Do they still have pagers?
- 18:22Speaker 6: I would hope not.
- 18:23Speaker 9: Do they still have pagers?
- 18:24Speaker 7: Doctors still have pagers.
- 18:25Speaker 9: That's so sad.
- 18:26Speaker 7: Doctors and ambulance drivers still have pagers.
- 18:28Speaker 9: Why don't they have cell phones or something?
- 18:29Speaker 7: You can't use.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Cell phones interfere with pacemakers and heart monitors.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Well, that'd just be funny.
- 18:34Speaker 11: Come on.
- 18:34Speaker 7: So doctors.
- 18:36Speaker 3: No, I mean, all the people I know that are
- 18:37Speaker 3: EMTs still have pagers. Actually, it was at my friend's house,
- 18:40Speaker 3: and I was like, why the fuck do you have
- 18:41Speaker 3: a pager?
- 18:42Speaker 2: I was like, oh.
- 18:42Speaker 7: You're an EMT.
- 18:44Speaker 6: What year is it?
- 18:45Speaker 9: Are you a drug dealer?
- 18:47Speaker 6: In 1990?
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 9: Let me check my piece.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Oh, oh, 666. That means they need some whatever. I
- 18:54Speaker 7: don't really know.
- 18:56Speaker 9: I never had a baby. She's lying.
- 18:58Speaker 6: So, yeah, it was also a time when sexual harassment,
- 19:02Speaker 6: it's kind of okay. It's okay to grab your co-worker's ass.
- 19:05Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 19:07Speaker 12: I like that.
- 19:07Speaker 18: I do it all the time.
- 19:08Speaker 9: What are you talking about?
- 19:08Speaker 6: I was like, is that just because it's a long
- 19:11Speaker 6: time ago or it's because he's a doctor and he
- 19:13Speaker 6: can kind of do whatever the hell he wants?
- 19:14Speaker 7: I think it just depends on where you work. Because,
- 19:15Speaker 7: I mean, we do that at my job all the time.
- 19:17Speaker 9: And it's totally funny. You grab those ashes all the time? Yeah.
- 19:19Speaker 9: Hump through legs? Yeah. Y'all blackjack my own?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yep.
- 19:22Speaker 9: All the time. All the time.
- 19:26Speaker 6: Is this just Jessica? You keep grabbing her.
- 19:28Speaker 12: No, this is everybody.
- 19:29Speaker 9: This is what we all do. Even my boss is in.
- 19:31Speaker 9: This is why we don't come to.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Where you work.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Yeah. No wonder I don't want to eat food from there.
- 19:35Speaker 13: So.
- 19:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know. Where do we even go?
- 19:40Speaker 7: I can tell you what I liked about the movie.
- 19:44Speaker 9: There was something you liked about this movie? Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 3: What was it?
- 19:47Speaker 6: That catchy theme song.
- 19:48Speaker 14: Uh-oh.
- 19:49Speaker 7: That theme song.
- 19:50Speaker 6: To Halloween, two more days to Halloween.
- 19:52Speaker 3: That made me think of the Willy Wonka song. It
- 19:55Speaker 3: made me want to kill.
- 19:55Speaker 6: You love Oompa Loompas, come on.
- 19:57Speaker 3: No, I like the original Oompa Loompas. Deep Roy, he
- 20:00Speaker 3: can suck my balls.
- 20:01Speaker 6: Yeah, that part sucks in that movie. Wait, that whole
- 20:03Speaker 6: movie sucks.
- 20:04Speaker 7: Yeah, but what I like....
- 20:07Speaker 3: What I liked about that movie and what I like
- 20:09Speaker 3: about all stories and movies and things, I guess, because
- 20:12Speaker 3: I grew up on, like, Ray Bradbury and the Twilight
- 20:14Speaker 3: Zone and things like that. I like and I've always
- 20:19Speaker 3: had this obsession with fake places and fake things that
- 20:22Speaker 3: are fake. Things that are, like, that look real but
- 20:26Speaker 3: are fake. Like, fake food. Like, wax museums. Fake towns.
- 20:30Speaker 7: Don't know why. I kind of have an obsession with it.
- 20:31Speaker 7: I always have.
- 20:32Speaker 3: But I like that the people in this movie, like,
- 20:35Speaker 3: all those, like, The guys, his henchmen or whatever, were fake.
- 20:40Speaker 7: They were like robots.
- 20:41Speaker 9: I don't consort with those of the robot race.
- 20:44Speaker 6: We don't like your kind in here. You like to
- 20:47Speaker 6: leave them outside.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's one thing I liked about it. I
- 20:52Speaker 3: don't know why. I'd like that in anything, so it
- 20:55Speaker 3: doesn't make this movie special.
- 20:56Speaker 6: Well, that's what is so weird. By the end of this,
- 20:59Speaker 6: I was just like, this is the weirdest Halloween movie ever.
- 21:02Speaker 6: And not because it's Halloween in the Michael Myers, like
- 21:05Speaker 6: just in general, if you didn't have that title, if
- 21:07Speaker 6: this was just season of the witch that came out,
- 21:10Speaker 6: It's the weirdest freaking Halloween movie ever because you go
- 21:14Speaker 6: from trick-or-treaters out on the lawn to kids dying and
- 21:19Speaker 6: robots involved in Stonehenge. It's like the biggest mesh of
- 21:23Speaker 6: crap just piled.
- 21:24Speaker 9: Into a movie. It just seemed like it was doing
- 21:27Speaker 9: stuff to be like, oh, this is going to be weird.
- 21:28Speaker 9: Watch this. Kind of. And then when.
- 21:31Speaker 3: The masks like killed the kids it's like why are
- 21:33Speaker 3: there like bugs and snakes coming out of it i
- 21:35Speaker 3: don't know.
- 21:36Speaker 9: I wasn't questioning it that bad when i was a
- 21:38Speaker 9: redhead because i blame sawin yeah who sawin.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Was that what sawin it's a pagan halloween holiday.
- 21:48Speaker 9: Oh was that in the movie because i slipped through it.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Nice that's what they blame it all on oh the
- 21:53Speaker 6: the ancient origins of halloween and that's basically why our
- 21:57Speaker 6: uh big villain here is doing all of this is
- 22:01Speaker 6: to because it's been 3 000 years and it's time
- 22:03Speaker 6: for another you know sacrifice of mass quantities of people
- 22:08Speaker 6: i thought.
- 22:08Speaker 9: He was just doing it because he was pissed because
- 22:09Speaker 9: he got a rock i got a rock yeah i
- 22:12Speaker 9: got a rock i got a rock.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Is is salmon is it is it pronounced that way
- 22:18Speaker 3: when it's spelled s-a-m-h-a-i-n.
- 22:21Speaker 6: I think so Well, that's the thing.
- 22:23Speaker 7: Because it's the same thing.
- 22:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the same thing. And I specifically was noting
- 22:29Speaker 6: because that's how he said it in the movie. Well,
- 22:30Speaker 6: that's how I've heard it pronounced. Again, I've heard it
- 22:32Speaker 6: pronounced many different ways. Most of which is once it
- 22:35Speaker 6: became a band name, people just read it like it's
- 22:37Speaker 6: what it said on the t-shirt.
- 22:38Speaker 9: That's what I've wondered.
- 22:39Speaker 6: That Sam Haines awesome.
- 22:40Speaker 7: That's what I've wondered about.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Obviously not into paganism, so I can't tell.
- 22:45Speaker 1: You, but.
- 22:46Speaker 6: But people who are really into it and like to
- 22:48Speaker 6: be pissy will correct you on the pronunciation of it
- 22:51Speaker 6: at every turn. So I was just trying to match
- 22:53Speaker 6: the movie because we're talking about the movie. I really
- 22:55Speaker 6: could give a rat's ass in the real world. In fact,
- 22:58Speaker 6: usually I refer to it wrong because I like to
- 23:00Speaker 6: piss off those people that are a little too into
- 23:02Speaker 6: that shit. I'm like, you know what? That's cool if
- 23:04Speaker 6: you like it, but why do you need to attack
- 23:06Speaker 6: other people with your.
- 23:07Speaker 9: Go fucking live in a.
- 23:08Speaker 3: If you want to be that into it, go fucking
- 23:10Speaker 3: live in a cave in the forest.
- 23:13Speaker 7: Eat shit and die.
- 23:15Speaker 6: Oh, man. By the time it gets to the robots,
- 23:20Speaker 6: you know you've taken a crazy turn. You took the
- 23:23Speaker 6: bus to crazy town. Yeah, because it's basically robots that
- 23:28Speaker 6: run on pulpy orange juice.
- 23:31Speaker 9: I hate pulpy orange juice.
- 23:32Speaker 6: Well, it was very viscous as it came out of them.
- 23:35Speaker 6: I was like, what the hell's going on here?
- 23:38Speaker 9: I like orange juice, but it's got to be pulp-free
- 23:40Speaker 9: or I won't drink that shit.
- 23:41Speaker 7: I actually prefer pulpy orange juice.
- 23:42Speaker 9: Oh, that's gross. If I ever have a robot, it
- 23:44Speaker 9: better run on pulp-free orange juice.
- 23:46Speaker 6: You start working on those.
- 23:50Speaker 9: Maybe the pulp would clog shit up in there. Yeah,
- 23:52Speaker 9: that's true.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 23:54Speaker 9: Clogged pulp arteries.
- 23:56Speaker 7: Not good.
- 23:57Speaker 12: Not good.
- 23:58Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know what's up with that.
- 24:00Speaker 19: Yeah, that's. I don't know.
- 24:01Speaker 6: I mean, when I guess I like... And in the end,
- 24:04Speaker 6: I mean, for as much as I'll call it out
- 24:05Speaker 6: for being goofy and just being... a lot of stuff
- 24:08Speaker 6: thrown into one movie that some of which doesn't make
- 24:11Speaker 6: any sense if you want to yeah no if you
- 24:13Speaker 6: want to think some of it does but that's arguable.
- 24:15Speaker 9: What exactly in this movie actually made sense.
- 24:18Speaker 6: What i think was cool i won't go with sense
- 24:21Speaker 6: i'll go with what i thought was cool was the
- 24:23Speaker 6: part that i didn't see coming was the part that
- 24:25Speaker 6: because i expected it to be you know crazy i
- 24:27Speaker 6: knew it was about a guy making mask and there
- 24:29Speaker 6: was some sort of plot about you know taking over
- 24:32Speaker 6: kids actually i was I was hoping it was more
- 24:34Speaker 6: of like, it was going to turn all the kids
- 24:35Speaker 6: into zombies and they were all become like little killing
- 24:38Speaker 6: machines when they watched it. That would have been awesome.
- 24:40Speaker 6: Like just killing goosebumps. I say, I think so. And
- 24:43Speaker 6: that maybe that's why I was hoping it would turn
- 24:45Speaker 6: out like that because this, yeah, I was like, okay,
- 24:47Speaker 6: when are they going to start killing their parents? Cause
- 24:49Speaker 6: that would be pretty cool.
- 24:50Speaker 9: It's like rather watch a marathon of goosebumps.
- 24:53Speaker 6: I kind of would do.
- 24:53Speaker 9: That's pretty awesome.
- 24:55Speaker 6: So no, what I, what I thought was actually cool.
- 24:59Speaker 6: Cause yeah, I was kind of hoping for that mask
- 25:01Speaker 6: turn and it didn't happen and Instead, it was just
- 25:03Speaker 6: supposed to kill everybody, which that's horrific. That's horrific in
- 25:07Speaker 6: its own right. I'll give them that. But the part
- 25:10Speaker 6: that I thought was cool that I didn't expect was
- 25:12Speaker 6: the creepy paranoia thing and the whole creepy plot that
- 25:19Speaker 6: took place that was sort of like this grand, it
- 25:23Speaker 6: really has this Big Brother feel to it. A lot
- 25:26Speaker 6: of movies seem like it. And it really, I think
- 25:28Speaker 6: it was this like, late 70s, all the way through
- 25:31Speaker 6: the 80s, there was this very, and it's funny that
- 25:34Speaker 6: it's a John Carpenter movie, because John Carpenter, well, it's
- 25:37Speaker 6: tied to John Carpenter, but it's not, he didn't even
- 25:39Speaker 6: write the story. I thought maybe he was credited for
- 25:41Speaker 6: the story, because I could see this coming for him,
- 25:43Speaker 6: because he has a very anti-establishment reputation, especially within his movies.
- 25:48Speaker 6: This This, to me, came off a lot like They Live.
- 25:52Speaker 6: Like in the middle, there's a very big section that's
- 25:54Speaker 6: pretty close to the feeling you get in They Live.
- 25:57Speaker 9: Yeah, I wasn't big on that movie either.
- 25:59Speaker 6: Or even like the Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the
- 26:01Speaker 6: 70s one we watched, had a very like everybody's against
- 26:05Speaker 6: you sort of feeling. And to me, that middle part
- 26:07Speaker 6: is kind of cool. Like it enters into this area
- 26:10Speaker 6: where he realizes there's something bigger going on here and
- 26:13Speaker 6: he's really trying to figure out what it is. So
- 26:15Speaker 6: you've got this sort of like anti-establishment messages and you've
- 26:19Speaker 6: got all these like you know creepy guys in suits
- 26:22Speaker 6: hanging around watching everything you do and i don't know
- 26:25Speaker 6: it sends out a lot of weird messages you can
- 26:27Speaker 6: take however you want but i do like everybody that's
- 26:30Speaker 6: evil basically is dressed like a businessman So there is
- 26:33Speaker 6: almost like this.
- 26:34Speaker 9: The man.
- 26:35Speaker 6: The man is evil, and the man will not only
- 26:37Speaker 6: keep you down, but also squish your head on occasion.
- 26:41Speaker 9: I am crushing your head. I am crushing your head.
- 26:44Speaker 9: I am crushing both of your heads.
- 26:46Speaker 6: But yeah, businessmen are evil. Corporations are evil. I mean,
- 26:50Speaker 6: there's definitely ways that you can take that.
- 26:51Speaker 7: What if you're like a car salesman?
- 26:54Speaker 6: Well, they're evil, too. We all know they're evil.
- 26:57Speaker 7: That's true.
- 26:58Speaker 3: That example.
- 26:59Speaker 6: That example.
- 27:00Speaker 3: So if you're like a salesman, you're automatically... You're innately evil.
- 27:04Speaker 20: But.
- 27:04Speaker 9: Probably one of the robot race too.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:06Speaker 9: Robots.
- 27:07Speaker 7: One of them robots.
- 27:09Speaker 1: But.
- 27:09Speaker 2: I like.
- 27:10Speaker 3: And this is a theme in a lot of horror movies.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And House of a Thousand Corpses.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Which is basically just a rip off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
- 27:19Speaker 6: But.
- 27:20Speaker 7: Watching those two movies back to back made me realize.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Like yeah.
- 27:23Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:24Speaker 7: Not like it was a secret, but.
- 27:25Speaker 6: It really, yeah. I mean, we know that. It's just
- 27:27Speaker 6: kind of like, okay, let's do it again. I'll go
- 27:29Speaker 6: into that later.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:30Speaker 9: What movie did we watch last year for our Halloween extravaganza?
- 27:34Speaker 6: The Trick or Treat.
- 27:35Speaker 9: I can't remember if that's what we actually watched or not. God,
- 27:37Speaker 9: we should have watched that movie again.
- 27:38Speaker 6: That was awesome.
- 27:39Speaker 14: Yeah, but.
- 27:39Speaker 9: There's so many good Halloween movies out there, and in general,
- 27:42Speaker 9: that I love to watch. I mean, I have like
- 27:44Speaker 9: a list at home of stuff that I want to
- 27:45Speaker 9: watch before Halloween actually gets here. Like, I want to
- 27:47Speaker 9: watch Lady in White again, and I want to watch
- 27:49Speaker 9: all my stuff. I make a whole list of stuff that.
- 27:51Speaker 3: I want to watch.
- 27:53Speaker 1: But.
- 27:53Speaker 3: It's just a common theme in so many backwoods, kind
- 27:58Speaker 3: of take place in the country, haunted movies, horror movies.
- 28:03Speaker 3: It's like the person escapes. They make it to town.
- 28:08Speaker 3: They think they're safe.
- 28:10Speaker 7: And that person is like Billy Bob's, but the axe
- 28:13Speaker 7: is like brother or whatever.
- 28:15Speaker 6: It's like everybody's in on it.
- 28:17Speaker 7: The whole town is in on it.
- 28:19Speaker 6: Which is, I mean, it is that same, you know,
- 28:21Speaker 6: you can't trust anyone. I mean, it's a very basic
- 28:24Speaker 6: theme that everybody, I mean, that's what half of the
- 28:27Speaker 6: Twilight Zone episodes were. That's what half the Hitchcock movies
- 28:30Speaker 6: played upon that, you know, you're, you know, that wrong
- 28:33Speaker 6: man thing where you're running and everybody's against you and,
- 28:36Speaker 6: you know, you can't trust anybody. You don't know where
- 28:38Speaker 6: to go. So it plays on that. And I think this...
- 28:41Speaker 6: taps into that. Like, the middle part of this movie, really,
- 28:44Speaker 6: I thought that part was cool. Again, I think because
- 28:46Speaker 6: I just didn't see it coming. Like, I had, I
- 28:48Speaker 6: expected it to be a big cheesy horror movie, so
- 28:50Speaker 6: we get midway into this, and it's this crazy, well,
- 28:53Speaker 6: it does have like that, yeah, it's really almost more
- 28:56Speaker 6: of a sci-fi movie than it is a horror movie.
- 28:58Speaker 6: I mean, it's definitely very horror-themed because of Halloween, and
- 29:02Speaker 6: it's got a lot of, like, bloody kills along the way,
- 29:04Speaker 6: but the grand story is really a sci-fi story, so
- 29:09Speaker 6: it's funny that it ended up in the middle of
- 29:11Speaker 6: the Halloween series of all things, but it definitely going
- 29:14Speaker 6: back to that big brother thing. I mean, you think
- 29:15Speaker 6: about how there's cameras watching everything in the town and
- 29:19Speaker 6: basically the, the man, the big evil, uh, he has
- 29:23Speaker 6: like stuff tapped. He's got microphones everywhere. He's listening to everything.
- 29:26Speaker 6: Everyone says anytime they say something that he doesn't want
- 29:30Speaker 6: them to say, they almost immediately get killed. He sends,
- 29:33Speaker 6: you know, his little legions out to take them out.
- 29:36Speaker 6: So it's, that whole part of it is kind of
- 29:38Speaker 6: creepy and works on a different level not even like
- 29:40Speaker 6: a horror kind of creepy just like a a you
- 29:42Speaker 6: know more of a through that part nice oh i
- 29:54Speaker 6: don't know but.
- 29:55Speaker 7: I like that element in any movie but.
- 29:57Speaker 6: I don't know. I thought that part was cool. And
- 29:59Speaker 6: it's got that, it really does tie in all these, like,
- 30:03Speaker 6: I guess maybe, maybe Tommy Lee Wallace has the same
- 30:06Speaker 6: feelings as Carpenter. I'm assuming they were kind of friends
- 30:09Speaker 6: for getting roped into this, but, um, cause yeah, I mean,
- 30:12Speaker 6: it definitely has the whole like system, the system at
- 30:15Speaker 6: work that you have no control over. And then it
- 30:17Speaker 6: ties in like every facet of the system. By the
- 30:20Speaker 6: time you get to the end, it's like, The companies,
- 30:23Speaker 6: you know, the big company that they're working for is evil.
- 30:25Speaker 6: So the company is evil. Well, then you get into
- 30:28Speaker 6: like advertising is evil because damn, that commercial is on
- 30:31Speaker 6: all the time. It's on the radio. It's on the TV.
- 30:34Speaker 6: So then you got advertising is evil. Then you get
- 30:36Speaker 6: to like the kids sitting around the TV. Well, it's
- 30:38Speaker 6: going to rot your brain out. Literally. So now TV
- 30:41Speaker 6: is evil. So the kids are evil. Well, it even
- 30:43Speaker 6: ties into the phone company, which, you know, for years
- 30:45Speaker 6: people said the phone company was, you know, evil incarnate. So,
- 30:50Speaker 6: I mean, the fact that the phone company is tied in,
- 30:52Speaker 6: I mean, every aspect of, you know, their life, especially
- 30:57Speaker 6: in that town, but wherever he tries to run in
- 31:00Speaker 6: this situation is pretty much run by this, you know,
- 31:02Speaker 6: whatever the grand evil is. I thought that was cool.
- 31:05Speaker 7: Here's my problem with the plot of this story. The
- 31:08Speaker 7: whole thing? Well, of course.
- 31:09Speaker 3: You're trying to take over the world with your three
- 31:11Speaker 3: damn shitty masks? Eh, it was the 80s. What if
- 31:17Speaker 3: the girl wants to be a fucking Barbie?
- 31:19Speaker 9: What if they want to be a kick-ass gremlin?
- 31:21Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 31:22Speaker 3: What if they don't want to be a pumpkin, a skeleton,
- 31:25Speaker 3: or a witch? Because God knows, what if they want
- 31:27Speaker 3: to be a fucking hobo or a clown?
- 31:29Speaker 9: You're fucked.
- 31:31Speaker 6: Well, basically, I mean, if we're just going with this
- 31:34Speaker 6: is the new cool thing, I mean, once again, it's
- 31:37Speaker 6: playing on trendiness. Like, if this was the big thing
- 31:40Speaker 6: in the world, if this was like the mid-90s and
- 31:43Speaker 6: they were using Pokemon to take over the world, they
- 31:45Speaker 6: could have taken over the world because it was the
- 31:48Speaker 6: hot thing and every kid would have killed each other
- 31:51Speaker 6: for it.
- 31:51Speaker 9: That was actually in the early 2000s.
- 31:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess. It was the end of the 90s. Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 6: it was the late 90s, early 2000s. But, I mean,
- 31:58Speaker 6: think about how huge that was with kids. So it's
- 32:00Speaker 6: like if we're looking at it on that level, where
- 32:02Speaker 6: whatever the trend of the moment is, if you hype
- 32:04Speaker 6: it up, which is what they did with these stupid advertisements. So, again,
- 32:08Speaker 6: I think they were on to something. Like, that could
- 32:10Speaker 6: have been a cool story. It is hard to look
- 32:12Speaker 6: at and go, why does every kid want these three masks?
- 32:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:15Speaker 6: But if they made it a little more broad, like
- 32:17Speaker 6: if at one point Ben Cooper decided to put these
- 32:19Speaker 6: in there, in every mask they made, then they probably
- 32:23Speaker 6: could have, you know, every kid for that span of time,
- 32:26Speaker 6: except poor kids that had their grandmothers making their own costumes.
- 32:29Speaker 6: Or me. But yeah, I mean, all those other kids
- 32:34Speaker 6: out there wearing that same, I mean, really, Ben Cooper
- 32:37Speaker 6: was at least three-fourths of every manufactured costume out there
- 32:41Speaker 6: was probably made by them.
- 32:42Speaker 7: So are they trying to say that Ben Cooper was evil?
- 32:44Speaker 6: Maybe so.
- 32:45Speaker 9: One more note about my Ben Cooper costume. When I
- 32:47Speaker 9: bought it, Jay had to insist on smelling it to
- 32:49Speaker 9: see if it had that original outfit smell.
- 32:52Speaker 6: The new Mylar smell.
- 32:53Speaker 9: He's like, does it have the smell? I'm like, I
- 32:55Speaker 9: don't know. I never had one of these when they
- 32:57Speaker 9: were new. I don't know what the fuck they were
- 32:58Speaker 9: supposed to smell like. So we had to stand there
- 32:59Speaker 9: and he had to smell the costume.
- 33:00Speaker 6: Yeah, it's got a very specific scent. I'll give him,
- 33:03Speaker 6: normally I'll call him creepy. And yeah, he's still creepy.
- 33:06Speaker 6: So am I, because I know that smell well, and
- 33:08Speaker 6: it was a very specific thing. It only was on
- 33:11Speaker 6: those kind of costumes. The rubber mask had their own
- 33:13Speaker 6: weird Halloween smell.
- 33:15Speaker 9: It's like the thin plastic ones. But if you go
- 33:16Speaker 9: looking for the Bigfoot, it's behind Smurfette.
- 33:19Speaker 6: Oh, I'll knock her ass out of the way.
- 33:20Speaker 9: In a case. You have to get somebody to unlock it.
- 33:23Speaker 9: Should we talk about the thing that pissed me off
- 33:24Speaker 9: the most about this? Well, one of the many things
- 33:26Speaker 9: that pissed me off. If I had to make a list,
- 33:28Speaker 9: it'd probably be like number two or three on my list.
- 33:29Speaker 6: All right.
- 33:30Speaker 11: Season of the Witch.
- 33:30Speaker 9: Season of the Witch.
- 33:32Speaker 6: Where's the witch?
- 33:33Speaker 9: Other than being one of the designs of the three
- 33:36Speaker 9: masks being a witch, there was no fucking witches in there.
- 33:38Speaker 9: It should have been like Season of the Robot Research
- 33:40Speaker 9: or some shit like that.
- 33:41Speaker 7: Well, I think they were tying that in with the
- 33:43Speaker 7: sewing thing.
- 33:45Speaker 9: It was stupid. There was no witches. If people are stupid,
- 33:49Speaker 9: go for the most obvious connection. If you're going to
- 33:52Speaker 9: call it Season of the Witch, it best be witches
- 33:54Speaker 9: in there.
- 33:55Speaker 12: Fucking hell.
- 33:58Speaker 9: We'll get to the part that I hated the most
- 33:59Speaker 9: when we get to the part where the major spoiler.
- 34:01Speaker 2: I guess.
- 34:01Speaker 6: Yeah, we'll get to the very... Because that's where most
- 34:03Speaker 6: of my what-the-fucks come into play.
- 34:05Speaker 9: Should we go ahead and jump into the major spoilers?
- 34:07Speaker 7: I don't even know what the major spoilers are.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Just the wrap-up there. I'm trying to think what else
- 34:12Speaker 6: we had with the beforehand, but I don't know.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 34:17Speaker 6: Most of it all ties to that, really. I do
- 34:21Speaker 6: like Watch the Magic Pumpkin. That sounds like some sort
- 34:25Speaker 6: of drug thing to me.
- 34:26Speaker 9: Uh-huh. Are we going to talk about how old do
- 34:28Speaker 9: you think I am? Or I'm older than.
- 34:30Speaker 6: You think I am? That sort of ties in. So
- 34:31Speaker 6: we can go ahead and jump into the ending of everything.
- 34:37Speaker 6: Super spoiler alert.
- 34:39Speaker 9: That's my siren. That's it.
- 34:44Speaker 6: Alrighty then. We don't need a siren. We've got Misty.
- 34:49Speaker 6: Now we're in England? Are you British listeners?
- 34:55Speaker 9: Whenever a siren goes by, Jay always goes, wiener, wiener.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Wow.
- 35:03Speaker 9: Yeah. The end of this movie. What the fuck was
- 35:04Speaker 9: that about? After that, I fell asleep during the movie.
- 35:09Speaker 9: Then I stopped because I had to go to my
- 35:10Speaker 9: parents' house to get a family photo done, which we
- 35:12Speaker 9: were not wearing matching outfits. There was no theme whatsoever.
- 35:15Speaker 6: No arm-in-arm. No conga line.
- 35:16Speaker 7: No awkward family photo.
- 35:18Speaker 9: It was just all of us. Me and Jay were
- 35:20Speaker 9: the most dressed up, which is just disturbing.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Is there going to be, like, an estranged uncle, like,
- 35:25Speaker 3: scratching himself inappropriately in the background?
- 35:27Speaker 9: No, we're going to have people photoshopped into it, though,
- 35:29Speaker 9: because they weren't actually there. But anyways, I didn't have
- 35:32Speaker 9: time to finish watching. So I had to watch the last, like,
- 35:34Speaker 9: ten minutes of it when I got home. And I
- 35:36Speaker 9: was just like.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Am I on a different movie?
- 35:39Speaker 9: And I'm back, and it's like... I think the final
- 35:42Speaker 9: chapter title was like the big giveaway or some shit
- 35:46Speaker 9: like that. And I'm like, okay, I'll go for that.
- 35:48Speaker 9: And I put that on my... Well, that's just fucking disappointing.
- 35:51Speaker 9: What the fuck is this? This is how you're going
- 35:53Speaker 9: to end this fucking movie.
- 35:54Speaker 1: This.
- 35:55Speaker 9: It is the end of the movie. Really? Are you
- 35:57Speaker 9: shitting me?
- 35:57Speaker 7: I don't even remember.
- 35:58Speaker 6: Are we talking about the phone call TV end of
- 36:02Speaker 6: the movie?
- 36:02Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 6: Well, I was going to before that. I was going
- 36:04Speaker 6: to the... Once we get into the villain's lair, if
- 36:07Speaker 6: you will.
- 36:08Speaker 9: I slept during the villain's lair.
- 36:10Speaker 6: Okay?
- 36:10Speaker 9: I'm sorry. I didn't.
- 36:12Speaker 6: I was fucking knocked out. Let's talk about that and
- 36:15Speaker 6: you can pretend. Let's talk about the reason. As if
- 36:19Speaker 6: it's not ridiculous enough that this movie about trick-or-treaters involves robots...
- 36:25Speaker 6: The way that they tie this crazy story together is Stonehenge.
- 36:30Speaker 9: What?
- 36:31Speaker 6: Stonehenge.
- 36:32Speaker 2: What?
- 36:33Speaker 1: They.
- 36:34Speaker 6: I.
- 36:34Speaker 9: Can say what again if you would like.
- 36:38Speaker 6: Not only....
- 36:40Speaker 2: Nice.
- 36:41Speaker 6: Not only do they tie it to Stonehenge, they have
- 36:44Speaker 6: a Stonehenge.
- 36:45Speaker 2: What?
- 36:46Speaker 6: I'm so glad I slept during that hour. Well, if
- 36:48Speaker 6: you were paying attention at the beginning, and I only
- 36:51Speaker 6: noticed this the second time.
- 36:52Speaker 9: I wasn't paying attention at the beginning.
- 36:53Speaker 6: At the beginning, the guy in the little... Or the.
- 36:57Speaker 7: Middle, or the end.
- 36:58Speaker 9: I don't remember bits and pieces of it, just not
- 37:00Speaker 9: that part.
- 37:01Speaker 6: The guy in the gas station at the beginning is
- 37:03Speaker 6: watching the news, and in the news, they're talking about Stonehenge.
- 37:06Speaker 9: Oh.
- 37:06Speaker 6: Which again this.
- 37:07Speaker 9: Token black guy is that who we're talking about yeah.
- 37:09Speaker 6: But he was in it several times so it makes
- 37:10Speaker 6: it like there's more than he didn't die and he
- 37:13Speaker 6: didn't die so there you go but um they.
- 37:16Speaker 9: He had the what you talking about master he's got
- 37:18Speaker 9: that kind of voice where it was just like stereotypical
- 37:20Speaker 9: like a southern black guy voice it was just like
- 37:23Speaker 9: it threw me off.
- 37:24Speaker 6: Which where were they and it doesn't aren't they like
- 37:26Speaker 6: up north somewhere And they were Hattenfield. Or is that Ohio?
- 37:30Speaker 9: I'm not trying to be racist. I'm just saying I
- 37:32Speaker 9: got the whole fucking gone with the wind.
- 37:34Speaker 6: Vibe from him. He just didn't want to be involved.
- 37:37Speaker 6: He's like, there ain't no trouble here, is there? I
- 37:38Speaker 6: don't want to have to fill out forms. I just
- 37:41Speaker 6: drove the dude over here. I'm trying to be nice. So,
- 37:45Speaker 6: but yeah. And again, this throws off the whole time
- 37:47Speaker 6: frame too. So we'll get back to that in a minute.
- 37:49Speaker 6: But number one, they stole a Stonehenge. At the beginning,
- 37:52Speaker 6: he's watching the news and there's like the stone off
- 37:55Speaker 6: the top of one of these little trios there is missing.
- 37:58Speaker 6: It's gone. They're like, where the fuck did it go?
- 38:01Speaker 6: That's crazy.
- 38:02Speaker 9: How the fuck do you steal a Stonehenge?
- 38:03Speaker 6: You wouldn't believe how they did it. And that's his answer.
- 38:06Speaker 9: They used the Force.
- 38:08Speaker 6: That's his answer. He didn't bother to tell you. You
- 38:10Speaker 6: just wouldn't believe how they did it. That's their cop-out
- 38:13Speaker 6: on how they have to not account for the fact
- 38:15Speaker 6: that they have a five-ton block of stone that they
- 38:18Speaker 6: moved from across the ocean. So, yeah.
- 38:22Speaker 9: You know what my consensus on that is?
- 38:25Speaker 2: All right.
- 38:25Speaker 9: Fucking retarded.
- 38:28Speaker 6: Well, my thing is, number one, if you were going
- 38:30Speaker 6: to do that, they would have had to have done
- 38:32Speaker 6: that months ago. So was this like them re-showing a
- 38:35Speaker 6: news report? Because they would have had to do that
- 38:38Speaker 6: months ago, not only to get it across the ocean,
- 38:41Speaker 6: but for them to start doing their magical little process
- 38:44Speaker 6: there and start making all these masks that they had
- 38:46Speaker 6: to then process, paint. get boxed up, and ship out
- 38:49Speaker 6: to all these stores around the country. This couldn't have happened, like,
- 38:53Speaker 6: this weekend, like he's watching it at the beginning, and
- 38:55Speaker 6: five days later, all this happens.
- 38:57Speaker 9: I think you're putting more thought into it than anybody
- 38:59Speaker 9: who actually made.
- 39:00Speaker 14: The movie did.
- 39:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm putting more thought into it than Tommy Lee Wallace,
- 39:04Speaker 6: who wrote this. So, yeah, I just, this time through,
- 39:07Speaker 6: I noticed that and went, well, that didn't make any sense.
- 39:09Speaker 6: It couldn't be on the news at the beginning of
- 39:10Speaker 6: the week and have all this shit go down by
- 39:12Speaker 6: the end of the week. You've got to.
- 39:13Speaker 9: Have some way to tie it together for them.
- 39:15Speaker 6: I guess. But, yeah, Stonehenge.
- 39:17Speaker 2: What?
- 39:19Speaker 6: They take a Stonehenge block and they've got it sitting
- 39:22Speaker 6: in their little magical lair there. And he explains to
- 39:26Speaker 6: him that it has magical powers. And they use it,
- 39:32Speaker 6: and he just sort of rubs it on the little tag.
- 39:34Speaker 6: Does it rub its lotion on the skin?
- 39:37Speaker 2: Yes.
- 39:38Speaker 6: And then it magically makes kids have bugs spring out
- 39:41Speaker 6: of their face. I don't know.
- 39:43Speaker 9: How can I get me one of them? They're rocks.
- 39:45Speaker 9: I go to Stonehenge.
- 39:47Speaker 6: Yeah, you've got to go steal a Stonehenge.
- 39:49Speaker 8: All right.
- 39:49Speaker 9: Let's plan for next weekend.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Let's go. Okay.
- 39:53Speaker 11: I'm up for it.
- 39:54Speaker 6: But it does this weird tying things together that it
- 39:58Speaker 6: doesn't really even tie. There's no knot at all. It
- 40:01Speaker 6: just throws things together. Let's put it that way. Because
- 40:03Speaker 6: it takes the most ancient... I do like he uses
- 40:06Speaker 6: the term advanced ancient technology. And that's like, well, yeah,
- 40:11Speaker 6: that's exactly what you've done. You've taken the most old
- 40:13Speaker 6: thing in the world, Stonehenge, and you've crammed in microchips.
- 40:17Speaker 6: It's got a microchip at the back of every mask,
- 40:20Speaker 6: so they're using, again, this is the paranoia thing, that
- 40:23Speaker 6: we're right here at the beginning of the 80s, computers
- 40:25Speaker 6: are just sort of crossing over into everyone's mind. Like,
- 40:28Speaker 6: it's just hitting, like, the average Joe, like, oh, I
- 40:31Speaker 6: can buy this Commodore VIC-20 and have a computer in
- 40:34Speaker 6: my home! So it's crossing over into that. So it's
- 40:37Speaker 6: starting to play on the paranoia of computers are evil. Ooh,
- 40:40Speaker 6: everything computerized is evil. But that's not going to do it.
- 40:43Speaker 6: That's not going to cut it. So how can we
- 40:45Speaker 6: also tie in some sort of ancient power? Fuck it, Stonehenge.
- 40:49Speaker 6: So now we've got, like, microchips and rock dust, and
- 40:52Speaker 6: somehow that will make your kid's face turn into bugs.
- 40:55Speaker 9: And snakes.
- 40:56Speaker 6: I mean, seriously, that's how they threw all this together
- 40:59Speaker 6: into one big thing. Microchips and rock dust. So, yeah, there's... Well, hell,
- 41:06Speaker 6: if I.
- 41:06Speaker 9: Knew that's all it was going to take to disintegrate
- 41:08Speaker 9: kids' faces, I would have done this a long time ago.
- 41:11Speaker 6: Yeah, you better go strap a stone hinge on your
- 41:13Speaker 6: back and start hauling.
- 41:15Speaker 9: Telling a group effort. Road trip. Let's go. Enjoy the
- 41:18Speaker 9: horror fun, Doctor.
- 41:20Speaker 14: And don't forget to watch the big giveaway afterwards. Why, Cochran?
- 41:24Speaker 2: Why?
- 41:25Speaker 14: Do I need a reason?
- 41:27Speaker 1: Mr.
- 41:28Speaker 6: Cochran was right, dear Cochran.
- 41:30Speaker 9: I do love a good joke, and this is the
- 41:33Speaker 9: best ever. A joke on the children.
- 41:36Speaker 6: So, yeah, you get to the Stonehenge. He ties him up.
- 41:40Speaker 6: He's going to make him watch the show and turn
- 41:42Speaker 6: into a bug-faced snake face as well. But he escapes,
- 41:46Speaker 6: and he breaks his way out, and he sneaks down.
- 41:48Speaker 6: So then he gets to... And this is the pre-reveal.
- 41:51Speaker 6: So then he... This is the end before we get
- 41:53Speaker 6: to the end. This is the big finale, and then
- 41:56Speaker 6: it goes on for another 15 minutes for some reason.
- 41:59Speaker 6: So he... Gets a whole box full of little tags
- 42:03Speaker 6: with the magical computer chip in it.
- 42:04Speaker 9: Oh yeah, I saw that part.
- 42:05Speaker 6: And drops them on the heads of the robot guys
- 42:08Speaker 6: and our evil bad guy. And we get a circle
- 42:11Speaker 6: of blue light. Why is there a big flashing circle
- 42:14Speaker 6: of blue light? Can anybody... No fucking clue. I don't
- 42:18Speaker 6: get it. And then a blue laser shoots out from
- 42:22Speaker 6: the circle after it takes out all the robot guys
- 42:25Speaker 6: and hits our villain in the head and turns him into...
- 42:28Speaker 6: I don't know... paper mache a butter sculpture i don't
- 42:32Speaker 6: know his head's just sort of this weird version of
- 42:35Speaker 6: him that doesn't look real at all and then it
- 42:38Speaker 6: then it disappears explain any of that to me because
- 42:44Speaker 6: there's nothing that ever plays into that so then we
- 42:47Speaker 6: get into did you notice when they were running around
- 42:50Speaker 6: trying to escape if you're awake at this part after
- 42:52Speaker 6: he breaks the girl out did you see that.
- 42:54Speaker 9: I remember them being in the car and her attacking him,
- 42:56Speaker 9: but I don't remember what the hell happened with that.
- 42:58Speaker 6: Because I noticed as she breaks the girl out, she
- 43:00Speaker 6: says nothing the entire time. She doesn't speak the entire time.
- 43:04Speaker 9: She's been converted to the robot race.
- 43:06Speaker 6: There you go so midway into again after the big
- 43:09Speaker 6: finale more or less then they're driving away well then
- 43:12Speaker 6: we get into this fake out false ending because then
- 43:15Speaker 6: the girl which we thought he'd saved attacks him for
- 43:19Speaker 6: one and then he as he rips her arm off
- 43:21Speaker 6: realizes she's a robot girl has.
- 43:23Speaker 9: She always she's been a robot girl the whole.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Time that's the question now see that's the part that
- 43:27Speaker 6: i was like okay because i heard somebody else go
- 43:30Speaker 6: well she was a robot girl what was she doing
- 43:32Speaker 6: helping him and that's the part that makes no sense Because,
- 43:35Speaker 6: and all the way through, I kept watching it the
- 43:37Speaker 6: second time through watching it, and I'm going, okay, let
- 43:39Speaker 6: me see if that makes sense, if maybe she was
- 43:41Speaker 6: actually a robot the whole time. And with the exception
- 43:44Speaker 6: of that one line, nothing else speaks to that. Like,
- 43:48Speaker 6: it makes no sense that she would not be human. Like,
- 43:51Speaker 6: she drew him into it. He wouldn't have even gotten
- 43:54Speaker 6: involved in it. It's not like they put her out
- 43:55Speaker 6: there to send him down the wrong way or to
- 43:58Speaker 6: mess up his plan to find out what was going on. Like,
- 44:00Speaker 6: he would have sat in the bar and been drunk
- 44:02Speaker 6: the whole rest of the movie. had she not come
- 44:04Speaker 6: along and drug him into the plot. So it makes
- 44:07Speaker 6: no sense. Like every step along the way, she really
- 44:09Speaker 6: is like... doing nothing that benefits the company. All she's
- 44:13Speaker 6: trying to do is find her father, and, you know,
- 44:15Speaker 6: she's not doing a very good job of it because
- 44:16Speaker 6: she's busy screwing this guy most of the time, but.
- 44:18Speaker 12: Do you think.
- 44:19Speaker 9: She drew him into it because he was asking too
- 44:20Speaker 9: many questions to begin with?
- 44:22Speaker 6: But was he?
- 44:22Speaker 9: He was rather curious in that, don't we?
- 44:25Speaker 6: Kind of, but again, I think if you just sent
- 44:27Speaker 6: him over like a fifth of scotch, he probably would
- 44:29Speaker 6: have shut up and sat there and drunk himself to death.
- 44:31Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know that it would have been...
- 44:33Speaker 6: It didn't seem like he was pushing his way in
- 44:35Speaker 6: enough for them to worry about... sending a robot assassin
- 44:39Speaker 6: slash sex girl i i don't know and again wouldn't
- 44:42Speaker 6: she have misled him more like she never really takes
- 44:45Speaker 6: him the wrong way and then she just gets kidnapped
- 44:48Speaker 6: halfway through the.
- 44:49Speaker 9: Thing i don't fucking understand i don't.
- 44:51Speaker 6: Know so that to me the only with with the
- 44:53Speaker 6: exception the only thing that sort of would almost support
- 44:56Speaker 6: that is i'm older than i look because these like
- 44:59Speaker 6: they as he gets in there he references that that
- 45:02Speaker 6: one robot is from 1785 Like, they work in this weird, crazy...
- 45:07Speaker 6: The knitting. The knitting, yeah. The crocheting lady is, like,
- 45:10Speaker 6: an ancient robot.
- 45:11Speaker 7: That made me think of Essing the Body Electric.
- 45:14Speaker 6: Yeah, kind of.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Oh, I love that.
- 45:16Speaker 6: But it works... Again, it's this ancient, newfangled technology aspect that, like,
- 45:22Speaker 6: they're working in robots from 1785, so.
- 45:26Speaker 6: It's, I don't know, it's the weirdest mixture. But other
- 45:28Speaker 6: than that older than I look line, which then took on,
- 45:30Speaker 6: I thought it was just creepy the first time through
- 45:32Speaker 6: because it kind of is. But then like the second
- 45:34Speaker 6: time I was like, okay, is that like a reference
- 45:36Speaker 6: that she is a robot and she's one of these
- 45:38Speaker 6: robots that have been around for 200 years or something
- 45:41Speaker 6: and they sent her in there. But then as I
- 45:43Speaker 6: watched the rest of it, I was like, no, because
- 45:44Speaker 6: everything else she does doesn't make any sense along that
- 45:47Speaker 6: plot line. So if anybody else has any insight on that,
- 45:50Speaker 6: let me know because I, nothing else she does Seems
- 45:53Speaker 6: like it follows that. She's always just kind of an
- 45:56Speaker 6: airhead and she's busy trying to get screwed. Nothing else
- 46:00Speaker 6: really is even clever enough to think that she's leading
- 46:05Speaker 6: him anywhere along the way. She's just kind of there.
- 46:07Speaker 9: It was plain why she was too stupid to dry
- 46:10Speaker 9: herself properly.
- 46:11Speaker 6: I guess. She's a robot. Robots aren't supposed to get
- 46:13Speaker 6: wet anyway. What the hell's wrong with her? Stay out
- 46:15Speaker 6: of the shower, dumbass.
- 46:16Speaker 9: She short-circuited something in there.
- 46:18Speaker 6: But yeah, if that is the case, that is impressive
- 46:21Speaker 6: that they are fully functional.
- 46:24Speaker 9: Sex box.
- 46:25Speaker 6: Fully functional.
- 46:28Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 46:28Speaker 6: I thought that was kind of interesting. So then we
- 46:30Speaker 6: get into him fighting with her, which... Then becomes like
- 46:34Speaker 6: she's got more resurrections than fucking Terminator. Like she comes back,
- 46:37Speaker 6: like every time they're like, whew, killed her. And then
- 46:40Speaker 6: the music blares.
- 46:42Speaker 9: They're making up for Mark Myers. Well, it is.
- 46:45Speaker 6: I mean, but it's funny that it's a robot that
- 46:48Speaker 6: won't die because this is two years before the original Terminator.
- 46:51Speaker 6: And we go through that finale on Terminator 2. So
- 46:53Speaker 6: it is one of those that this kind of predates that.
- 46:56Speaker 6: I mean, I guess if anything, it's probably ripping off
- 46:57Speaker 6: Westworld because... truthfully you'll bring her i'll kick all these
- 47:00Speaker 6: robots asses so he sort of did the same thing
- 47:02Speaker 6: damn straight so i don't know i just thought that
- 47:07Speaker 6: that part is ridiculously weird and yeah i mean you
- 47:11Speaker 6: enter all this weird stuff where it's just robots and
- 47:14Speaker 6: microchips and fucking stonehenge and oh it makes no sense
- 47:21Speaker 6: so okay then i guess we can skip to the
- 47:24Speaker 6: very very end of the movie that i already talked
- 47:26Speaker 6: about yeah what the dandy I looked at.
- 47:29Speaker 9: Jay and I'm like, really? Did that just fucking happen?
- 47:31Speaker 9: That's how they're going to fucking end this.
- 47:33Speaker 6: I know I give them credit for at least not
- 47:36Speaker 6: being what I expected. I'm not saying it's a good ending,
- 47:40Speaker 6: but here's our happy ending on this movie. Thousands of
- 47:44Speaker 6: children die. That's the happy ending we're left with.
- 47:48Speaker 9: Do you need more candy, Marlena? You look like you're
- 47:50Speaker 9: very fall asleep.
- 47:51Speaker 7: I've been asleep, but no, I'm good. I crashed. I
- 47:56Speaker 7: had a bunch of sugar and then I crashed.
- 47:58Speaker 9: But yeah, a bunch of fucking kids.
- 48:00Speaker 6: Yeah, just... I'm assuming if their plan originally is like
- 48:04Speaker 6: millions of kids, and it really, according to the... He's
- 48:08Speaker 6: on the phone with one of the guys from the network,
- 48:10Speaker 6: I guess, and they're saying a 43 share, which is
- 48:14Speaker 6: a pretty huge amount of TV watching America. So even
- 48:18Speaker 6: if you take out, you know, two-thirds of that, you
- 48:20Speaker 6: only had three networks. Again, this was a long time ago.
- 48:22Speaker 6: It would have totally fucked it up if it was
- 48:24Speaker 6: in the cable age or the internet age, so... Yeah,
- 48:27Speaker 6: only three networks. Even if you take two of them out,
- 48:29Speaker 6: that's got to be thousands of kids left over watching
- 48:31Speaker 6: that third network. That's a pretty horrific event. And that's
- 48:35Speaker 6: how we end our movie. Yay, thousands of kids die.
- 48:39Speaker 6: So to me, if this is really part of the mythology,
- 48:42Speaker 6: wouldn't somebody in like four and five go, remember that
- 48:44Speaker 6: Halloween a couple of years ago when all those fucking
- 48:46Speaker 6: kids died? How come this doesn't enter into the consciousness?
- 48:50Speaker 6: Like this one exists in the world where Halloween was
- 48:53Speaker 6: a movie because they're watching Halloween in this one. So
- 48:56Speaker 6: why is it that, you know, just as a nice
- 48:58Speaker 6: little callback, somewhere down the line, they look at Daniel
- 49:01Speaker 6: Harris and they're like, good thing you didn't watch it
- 49:03Speaker 6: that year, you'd be dead now. But no, we never
- 49:06Speaker 6: get any other reference to this.
- 49:10Speaker 9: Abomination?
- 49:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 49:12Speaker 6: Massacre? Because basically, it's a huge amount of people getting
- 49:16Speaker 6: killed by this one crazy bastard that lives in this
- 49:20Speaker 6: little town i don't know i don't know what effects
- 49:24Speaker 6: wise what were your thoughts.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Um wow that flashing pumpkin graphic.
- 49:30Speaker 6: Not computer effects i'm talking you know special makeups some
- 49:34Speaker 6: of the kills were pretty good i i thought the
- 49:36Speaker 6: um It's funny that it's all about cheesy rubber masks,
- 49:40Speaker 6: because sometimes it very obviously switches to cheesy rubber masks
- 49:44Speaker 6: of our actors. But again, I mean, it's 82, for
- 49:48Speaker 6: God's sake. So, again, anytime I see practical effects anymore,
- 49:51Speaker 6: I'm kind of appreciative. I'm like, wow, at least it's
- 49:54Speaker 6: not horrible CG blood and some sort of badly pieced
- 49:57Speaker 6: together face. I don't know. I mean, I still... at
- 50:01Speaker 6: this point it's sad that it's nothing but nostalgia for
- 50:03Speaker 6: practical effects. Cause yeah, I still was just like, well, yeah,
- 50:08Speaker 6: I could tell that was a fake head, but that
- 50:09Speaker 6: was still kind of cool when he yanked out that
- 50:11Speaker 6: guy's eyeballs. That was pretty awesome.
- 50:14Speaker 9: He squinched his face right here.
- 50:16Speaker 6: Yeah. And then we ripped that other guy's head off.
- 50:19Speaker 6: He just told the blood spray on that was awesome.
- 50:21Speaker 6: You got to give him credit. It was, yeah, just
- 50:23Speaker 6: fucking kill bill blood spray on that one.
- 50:25Speaker 9: So I don't think I have anything else to say
- 50:27Speaker 9: about this movie.
- 50:28Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't think so. Other than I
- 50:31Speaker 6: think once again, the real world kicked into my head
- 50:34Speaker 6: and I was like, um, how do you call up
- 50:37Speaker 6: the head of all three networks? Like number one, who
- 50:40Speaker 6: do you call? Who do you have on fucking speed
- 50:41Speaker 6: dial before there was speed dial that would put you
- 50:44Speaker 6: in contact with not just one. It would be hard
- 50:46Speaker 6: enough for me to get on my phone and call
- 50:48Speaker 6: the head of ABC, but let alone whoever it is
- 50:50Speaker 6: that runs all three networks. and have them magically within
- 50:54Speaker 6: seconds pull off something that's running on there.
- 50:57Speaker 9: You could fight with.
- 50:59Speaker 6: Them for weeks and not have them pull off something
- 51:01Speaker 6: on their lineup, let alone in a second.
- 51:03Speaker 9: That's because you're not Tom Atkins.
- 51:04Speaker 6: That's true. Tom Atkins is pretty damn smooth.
- 51:07Speaker 7: But he didn't get them to pull it off.
- 51:08Speaker 1: No.
- 51:09Speaker 6: But even two-thirds of it, though. I mean, two out
- 51:11Speaker 6: of three networks he got within seconds to pull their
- 51:14Speaker 6: programming for the day. So I'm just like, that seems
- 51:18Speaker 6: far-fetched to me. Granted, I know, it's a movie. But, again,
- 51:22Speaker 6: I'm a little too reality-based at some points because I
- 51:25Speaker 6: was just like, I don't see that happening.
- 51:27Speaker 9: I guess I'm the only one who busted out laughing
- 51:30Speaker 9: when he went yelling towards the gas station guy and said,
- 51:33Speaker 9: it's life or death. I'm the only one that thought
- 51:35Speaker 9: that was just hilarious.
- 51:38Speaker 6: I just like that the guy was like, don't I
- 51:40Speaker 6: know you? It's like, didn't I just see you last week?
- 51:44Speaker 6: And they didn't even tell us it was one hour
- 51:45Speaker 6: later when he went to the gas station later. Marlena
- 51:48Speaker 6: seemed confused by that earlier.
- 51:49Speaker 9: I was confused because I don't remember it at all.
- 51:51Speaker 6: It was the very beginning.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like, was it necessary to have a little
- 51:56Speaker 3: thing flash across the screen that says, like, one hour later?
- 51:59Speaker 6: We never would have figured out it was further in time.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:04Speaker 9: One hour in back time.
- 52:06Speaker 6: But they didn't tell us that the next time. I mean,
- 52:08Speaker 6: maybe it was only 45 minutes for him. He had
- 52:10Speaker 6: a car to start with.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, like, whenever you're watching a movie and
- 52:15Speaker 3: it goes from scene to scene, is it necessary to
- 52:17Speaker 3: be like.
- 52:18Speaker 6: Five minutes later.
- 52:19Speaker 13: Exactly.
- 52:19Speaker 9: Maybe it was at a very important hour later and
- 52:22Speaker 9: they wanted to make sure.
- 52:22Speaker 6: Not really. They did just like to tell you what
- 52:24Speaker 6: day it was most of the time. I don't know
- 52:26Speaker 6: why they picked.
- 52:26Speaker 7: And the location when it was like Phoenix, Arizona.
- 52:28Speaker 9: If you notice, they were on the same days that
- 52:30Speaker 9: we were on. They were on like... October the 24th
- 52:32Speaker 9: is on a Sunday, so Halloween's on a Sunday, so
- 52:35Speaker 9: it had that thing, the timeline was.
- 52:36Speaker 6: That's because the circle has come back around again, and
- 52:39Speaker 6: it's time to kill thousands of children. I'm not saying, people.
- 52:43Speaker 6: I never said for you to do that.
- 52:48Speaker 9: I always get hate mail. People don't like me.
- 52:53Speaker 7: You're talking about killing children.
- 52:56Speaker 9: It's not the first time.
- 52:58Speaker 6: It's not the first time today.
- 53:00Speaker 9: That's not like I'm actually going.
- 53:02Speaker 6: To go do it.
- 53:02Speaker 13: Holy shit.
- 53:03Speaker 6: That's a lot of effort.
- 53:04Speaker 9: It's not that I would brag about in front of people.
- 53:08Speaker 6: Oh well before we're totally done here this to me
- 53:11Speaker 6: is a potential entry for uh video boxes that warp
- 53:14Speaker 6: my brain because this is another one of those that
- 53:16Speaker 6: the one sheet in the video box kind of cooler
- 53:19Speaker 6: than the movie it represents the uh the box was
- 53:22Speaker 6: the little like the outline of little kids in the
- 53:24Speaker 6: trick-or-treat year and it had like a witch face like
- 53:26Speaker 6: coming up it like the the poster and the the
- 53:29Speaker 6: video box were awesome and like you watch the movie
- 53:32Speaker 6: you're like I mean, the trick-or-treating does, but the witch face,
- 53:35Speaker 6: you're like, where does this even come from? It has
- 53:37Speaker 6: nothing to do with this movie. Again, it was just
- 53:39Speaker 6: someone putting together great artwork for a movie that was
- 53:42Speaker 6: kind of in general. It was like, something that has
- 53:44Speaker 6: to do with trick-or-treating. Yeah, here you go. But yeah,
- 53:47Speaker 6: the original artwork on it was awesome. Doesn't match the movie, really.
- 53:52Speaker 6: Certainly doesn't match the level of coolness of it. oh
- 53:56Speaker 6: as far as tommy lee wallace um he is really
- 53:59Speaker 6: kind of done on he's a director you want to
- 54:02Speaker 6: go to for your bad sequels and stuff for tv
- 54:05Speaker 6: he's done a lot of tv episodes over the years
- 54:09Speaker 6: he did fright night 2 he did halloween 3 so
- 54:11Speaker 6: he's kind of your go-to if you've got some sort
- 54:13Speaker 6: of property you want to just sort of pawn off
- 54:15Speaker 6: on the best thing on his resume uh he is
- 54:18Speaker 6: the director of.
- 54:19Speaker 9: It I liked most of it.
- 54:21Speaker 6: It is still a pretty good... Especially that first half
- 54:25Speaker 6: is really creepy. Everything with the clown before you get
- 54:28Speaker 6: to the thing at the end.
- 54:29Speaker 9: Yeah, clowns are fucking creepy.
- 54:30Speaker 6: Yeah, but that was creepy in an awesome way. Granted,
- 54:34Speaker 6: they're creepy in the real world in sort of a
- 54:35Speaker 6: sad way. No, it as a movie was... Especially that
- 54:39Speaker 6: first half of the miniseries is really pretty well done.
- 54:42Speaker 6: Especially for TV. When I think of TV as early
- 54:46Speaker 6: in time as that was... It's pretty horrific to be
- 54:49Speaker 6: showing on regular primetime network television. So I will give
- 54:53Speaker 6: him credit for it. But a lot of his other stuff,
- 54:55Speaker 6: I didn't see a lot of high points in his career.
- 54:59Speaker 6: All right. So otherwise, anything else to wrap up Halloween 3?
- 55:04Speaker 6: Season of the Witch.
- 55:06Speaker 9: No fucking witches.
- 55:07Speaker 6: There were, in fact, other than Rubber Mask, no real witches.
- 55:11Speaker 9: I could have called it Season of the Pumpkin.
- 55:13Speaker 6: Season of the Sawin'..
- 55:16Speaker 9: Season of the robots.
- 55:17Speaker 6: Season of the robots. That's probably the way to go.
- 55:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 55:20Speaker 6: So we will wrap up the movie here and take
- 55:22Speaker 6: a break and be back with the rest of the show.
- 55:24Speaker 14: It's time again.
- 55:27Speaker 2: At the end, we don't decide these things, you know.
- 55:30Speaker 14: The planets do. They're in alignment. And it's time again.
- 55:43Speaker 14: The world's going to change tonight, Doctor.
- 55:46Speaker 2: I'm glad you'll be able to watch it.
- 57:02Speaker 4: And now, before the next show starts, let's enjoy an intermission.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Yes.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Everybody, but everybody, is go-go-going to our Ghost-a-Go-Go Show. Already
- 57:37Speaker 1: the spooks are swinging. The witches are winging. The haunts
- 57:41Speaker 1: are on the move. The monsters are swaying. The ghosts
- 57:45Speaker 1: are saying, come on, get in the groove. And come
- 57:50Speaker 1: to our rock and roll Ghost-a-Go-Go Show. It's a zany
- 57:55Speaker 1: mixture of spooks and music with the beat. You may
- 58:00Speaker 1: rock with chills or roll with the combos. But whatever
- 58:04Speaker 1: you do, you'll have the time of your young life
- 58:07Speaker 1: at our Ghost-a-Go-Go show.
- 58:10Speaker 9: It's new.
- 58:11Speaker 2: It's different.
- 58:12Speaker 6: It's tough.
- 58:14Speaker 8: Listen.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Do you hear it?
- 58:19Speaker 6: It's getting closer. Much closer.
- 58:27Speaker 14: Be very, very afraid.
- 58:34Speaker 20: I've got a message.
- 58:39Speaker 2: For you. Pray for death.
- 59:05Speaker 6: I'm Grey. Take a journey with me through the dark side.
- 59:10Speaker 6: of cinema in the Dark.
- 59:12Speaker 14: Hours Horror Podcast.
- 59:15Speaker 6: Find it at thedarkhours.net The Dark.
- 59:22Speaker 2: Hours Terror has no shape far beyond anything your mind
- 59:32Speaker 2: could ever conceive.
- 59:36Speaker 20: It's part of your problem, you know, you haven't seen
- 59:39Speaker 20: enough movies.
- 59:39Speaker 2: All of life's riddles are answered in the movies.

- 1:01:31Speaker 3: My boss is in on, that's what she said, jokes.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: But he, I'm very proud of him for this. He
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: has taken it to the next level and now has created,
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: I bet that's what your wife says, jokes.
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: Ugh, I'm staying out of these.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Yeah, like the other day someone was like, it'll be
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: done in 20 seconds. And my boss goes, I bet
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: that's what your wife says. And I was like, high five,
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: good one.
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: I was very proud. No, don't encourage it.
- 1:01:55Speaker 9: Very proud, no way.
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: I got a fist bump the.
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: Other day, but I don't remember what it was for.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: We do that. Yikes. That horse has been dead for
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: a long time.
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: That's what makes it so funny. Post irony.
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: Like a fist bump right now. Hell yeah. I don't know.
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: I'm not that cool yet. You give me time.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: Or you lock it.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: The what?
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: Lock it.
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: Oh, this is so sad, ladies and gentlemen. I don't
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: know what to tell you. Oh, the humanity.
- 1:02:24Speaker 9: Sometimes you're just sad because you're too far away to
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: join in.
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: No, I don't think so.
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: Do it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: Fist bump.
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: Fist bump.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: Here, you can have an elbow.
- 1:02:31Speaker 9: We're not continuing the show until you fist bump.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: Fist bump.
- 1:02:34Speaker 9: Come on. Do it.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Do it.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Do it.
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: Anyway. Of course, fist bump.
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: No means no, damn it.
- 1:02:42Speaker 9: You just got fist draped.
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: I don't think that means what you think it means.
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: It was still funny.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: Why is there Vaseline all over my hand? Anyway.
- 1:03:01Speaker 9: Oh, you better watch it. We're starting to heckle like hyenas.
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: Good.
- 1:03:09Speaker 11: Fuck them.
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: Fuck them. All right. We are back, and we've got feedback. Well,
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: first I have a few messages to pass along to
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: the gang here, and some of these I... I know
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: one or two of them you saw, but a few
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: of these... Some of these were from Twitter that I
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: don't think you've come in contact with.
- 1:03:26Speaker 9: I don't got Twitter.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: I don't know what Twitter is.
- 1:03:28Speaker 14: Oh, Lord.
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: One of which is from... Actually, it's from Nick at
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: Eskimo to us and Randy. And it says... Squirrel bomb
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: is pretty damn amazing. Oh, and what the fuck, dude?
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: What?
- 1:03:44Speaker 9: What was pretty amazing?
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: The squirrel bomb.
- 1:03:46Speaker 12: Oh, yeah, the squirrel bomb.
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: His response to the squirrel bomb was, what the fuck, dude?
- 1:03:50Speaker 9: Brady's my favorite.
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: I like his outrage by the idea, and yet seems
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: kind of taken with it as well. Then there's several
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: for you, Misty.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Oh, yay me.
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: Naked Eskimo says, to Misty, high five, gobble gobble, motherfucker.
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: God, I fucking love that movie.
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: I don't understand.
- 1:04:11Speaker 9: It's a Thanksgiving. Oh, okay.
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: He also says, to Misty and the whole crew, in
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: regards of folks getting pissy, fuck them if they can't
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: take a joke. I love y'all's humor, damn it.
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: Hells yeah.
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: So, once again, we're good to see Eskimo's got her back.
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: I would give him a fist bump if he were here.
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: I might even lock it, because I learned that one
- 1:04:29Speaker 9: just a few minutes ago.
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: Or make it explode.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: I lock it and then make it explode.
- 1:04:35Speaker 9: Oh, hell, that's too much. That's a combination I ain't
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: quite mastered.
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: Yeah, I actually get the lock one. The lock one's
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: pretty difficult to master.
- 1:04:42Speaker 9: I got it wrong earlier, didn't I? I just did
- 1:04:44Speaker 9: a twist the wrong way.
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: It was probably me. I can't get this hat off
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: my head.
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: Oh, no.
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: What am I going to do? Take it off.
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: It doesn't match with my sweater.
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: Is that part? Just hold it next to your sweater
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: at all times. All right, so we did have something on.
- 1:05:00Speaker 9: It's like an end of your cleavage. A booby hat.
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: You're up for.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: HQ.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: It's just a shirt, really. Sew them together.
- 1:05:11Speaker 9: See, the snorting is contagious.
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: I don't believe I've done it at this point.
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: It's contagious like freckles. Did you see that commercial?
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: Where the detail on the camera shows every freckle?
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: And then she takes her freckles and throws them at somebody.
- 1:05:30Speaker 9: And her freckles go to somebody else. I'm like, no!
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: That's nightmare material right there.
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: What commercial is this for?
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: I don't remember.
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: That could happen to you.
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: It shows stuff like transferring to other people. Like this
- 1:05:45Speaker 9: guy has a tattoo on his hand and he's dancing
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: with a girl and the tattoo moves to her. It's weird,
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: but the freckle thing was just too far. I don't
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: want anybody flicking their fucking freckles on me.
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: Oh, Jesus. Alrighty then. Um, there was one on the
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: forum that I thought was funny, and I thought I
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: wanted to, uh, pass along to you guys. Uh, it was, again,
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: Naked Eskimo said, Haven't listened yet, but seeing the title
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: of this thread prompted me to look at Barb and say,
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: What the fuck is wrong with Movie Mountain? that was
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: the uh second blow yeah that was the episode uh
- 1:06:19Speaker 6: second blow is jesus which i've been did you see
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: my response to it because i thought it was funny
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: i was like well like most of our stories at
- 1:06:25Speaker 6: this point they're like the fucking telephone game it's like
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: by the time we've told them and retold them so
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: many times and they're such an in joke that we
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: just reference them here and there that nobody even knows
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: what they actually mean anymore so when you break it
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: down to what it actually means i was like there's
- 1:06:38Speaker 6: nothing perverse or sacrilegious in that original story at all
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: And yet that seems like one of the most horrific
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: statements ever that would offend everyone. But if you listen
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: to the story, there's nothing offensive at all in there.
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: No, not so much. So there. That's how we like
- 1:06:53Speaker 9: to trick you.
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: We're innocent. We're a bunch of innocent kids around here.
- 1:06:57Speaker 9: And I did take a picture of me with my
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: black hole pop-up book. It's on Facebook.
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: Misty's black hole.
- 1:07:03Speaker 9: So neener, neener, Randy. Oh, man.
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: Did you see his about you, though? Which one? About
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: the black hole pop-up book. He says, Esky and I
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: want our photos of the Black Hole pop-up book. But
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: he says, I wonder if anybody else out there imagined
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: Misty scrawling in crayon at the end of the Choose
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: Your Own Adventure book over her Misty-like ending. When her
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: unicorn gets sent to a rendering plant and the magic
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: girl runs off to grant her self-wishes with her new
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: wish-granting horn.
- 1:07:32Speaker 9: That would totally do that.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Yeah, do that.
- 1:07:36Speaker 9: It's not even just choose your own adventure books. It's
- 1:07:37Speaker 9: any random book. I don't know what the way it ends.
- 1:07:39Speaker 9: I'll fucking change it.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Shit.
- 1:07:41Speaker 9: And not in crayon. Usually I'm like permanent marker.
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: I can see that actually.
- 1:07:46Speaker 9: Cause my word is boss.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Oh Lord.
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: So I think you read the other ones. That was the,
- 1:07:52Speaker 6: the comment on our tone, the last episode, which I,
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: I kind of disagree with. I don't think we were
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: that down. I think we were, we were pretty decent
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: on focusing on the, the movie itself. I thought we
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: had a lot of good stuff on the bad seed, but,
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: As far as the attitude, we are far from defeated. I,
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: for one, will not go down quietly. I am going
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: to fight tooth and nail to keep the show going.
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: Even at the point, you know, crew doesn't show up,
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: you know, fuck it, we're still here, we're still keeping
- 1:08:21Speaker 6: it going. And it's not even like they keep referring
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: to the new format. I wouldn't even call it a
- 1:08:26Speaker 6: new format. It's just sort of changing the scheduling, really.
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: Because I don't think I've ever really said it in
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: stone as to it has to be this. We've settled
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: into a lot of the episodes are like this, but
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: from day one, I wanted to do it different where
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: we could have, you know, take an episode on the
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: road and do it in the middle of a hotel
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: room or just do like a separate interview with somebody.
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: And that in itself itself is like its own little episode.
- 1:08:50Speaker 6: So I think along the way, I've tried to mix
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: it up from time to time and every once in
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: a while, just do something really different so that we
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: don't have such a standard format that a, it becomes
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: boring and b it becomes weird if we break out
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: of it it's like i wanted to keep it kind
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: of moving and changing a little bit to the fact
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: that it gives us freedom to do whatever the hell
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: we want which is kind of how we operate anyway
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: so i don't That all having been said, yeah, I
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: think that's more of where we're going, not really a
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: whole new format, just... Are we going to beta format?
- 1:09:21Speaker 6: Movie Meltdown 2.0. We're testing the new beta. I don't know.
- 1:09:26Speaker 9: We saw some video discs at a flea market the
- 1:09:27Speaker 9: other day and James was like, what is this? Is
- 1:09:29Speaker 9: this a record?
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: It's a video record, dude.
- 1:09:33Speaker 9: Is it like a laser disc or is it a record?
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: I don't understand. Yes, both. It was a laser disc
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: on a record.
- 1:09:41Speaker 9: He was confused.
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: It's a confusing format, I have to say. Anybody who
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: actually remembers the video... What are those things called? Video disc?
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: Again, I was fascinated with those as a kid. Once again,
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: showing my geekery.
- 1:09:54Speaker 9: I like the packaging.
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: Just because that was really the first pre-made... I mean,
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: you didn't have pre-packaged VHS at that point. I think
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: they were getting to the point where they could record
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: on it, but I don't think they were selling. The
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: first one, I remember them selling... A prepackaged movie with
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: the poster slapped on the front of it that you
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: could get was that big piece of plastic that basically
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: had a record inside of it. And once again, the
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: geek in me went, I can buy the movie?
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: Holy shit.
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: The fact that I could own it and pause it.
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: in inappropriate places, appealed to me even as a small child.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: What did people do before they could buy a movie
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: and watch it whenever they wanted?
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: Read books. No, because I remember people talking about this,
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: because I barely even remember the pre-VHS days. So it's
- 1:10:40Speaker 6: like you waited around until they showed, like they used
- 1:10:44Speaker 6: to do, the midnight movie, or they'd do like the
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: this week's Saturday Night Movie, and they would play one
- 1:10:50Speaker 6: on most of the networks, or at least some of the,
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: depending on where you were, would play movies, and you
- 1:10:56Speaker 6: kind of had to wait. And sometimes you would wait
- 1:10:58Speaker 6: nine years between when they showed it last, and you
- 1:11:00Speaker 6: would sit there and look in your paper every week
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: and go... Not this week.
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: I don't got that kind of patience.
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: Or, I mean, if nothing else, maybe they would do
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: like the big movies, they would do a revival and,
- 1:11:10Speaker 6: you know, bring a copy back. Again, they didn't remaster
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: them then because they didn't know how to do that.
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: But they would dig out an old scratched up copy
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: of Casablanca and every 30 years they'd cycle it around
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: the other theaters again.
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: So.
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: Those were pretty much your only options. Either eventually they
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: would replay it on TV, or maybe if you were lucky,
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: they would bring a copy back out to a small
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: theater that wasn't affiliated with any chains and could pull
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: off that kind of shit. But yeah, other than that,
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: you were screwed. So it sucked to be a movie
- 1:11:38Speaker 6: geek in the pre-' 80s, basically.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: Yeah, because that's like 80 years almost of movies that
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: you could only see once, maybe twice.
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: In your life. That's kind of sick. I mean, to me,
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: that's scary. Like someone who owns shelf fulls of movies
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: that like at any given moment, especially now with the internet,
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: at any given moment, you can kind of go find
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: whatever the hell it is you want in whatever ways
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: you choose to, but you can get a hold of
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: damn near anything that's still in existence. Whereas thinking of.
- 1:12:08Speaker 9: Unless it's Showboat from the 30s, then you're fucked.
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: If you can find that, guys, hey, hook us up. Because,
- 1:12:13Speaker 6: you know, Misty's got somebody looking for that. We're trying
- 1:12:16Speaker 6: to find a... Not the 20s. I found that one
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: for her.
- 1:12:19Speaker 9: My grandma wants it, and my grandma's awesome.
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: She is awesome, which is why I found her the
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: early silent one, but... We're still having problems finding the
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: 30s showboat. So with the exception of that, that shows
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: you what it was like for years. You wanted to
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: see that movie, and you just never will. That's how
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: it worked for years of your life.
- 1:12:36Speaker 9: That's so weird.
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a strange turnaround that people who are into
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: movies have such a privilege now that I don't think
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: we can even imagine how it was for people for
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: years and years there. So it's kind of strange.
- 1:12:52Speaker 9: Maybe they just didn't put that much thought, maybe it
- 1:12:54Speaker 9: wasn't just, they didn't think about it because they didn't
- 1:12:56Speaker 9: know that that could be an option, you know?
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: I don't know. I mean, I remember hearing stories about
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: people that, like, for years would be like, and that
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: really I mean you think about now we do like
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: what's that movie that we just did earlier that he
- 1:13:09Speaker 6: directed and it's like think about if nobody could ever
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: reference there was no IMDb to look shit up there
- 1:13:15Speaker 6: was no way to go find the movie itself you
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: were just like fucked for the rest of your life
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: you're like I swear there was this movie and it
- 1:13:23Speaker 6: had a thing in it and there was a guy
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: and you could describe it to everybody you know and
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: nobody at that point was a movie geek nobody ever
- 1:13:29Speaker 6: would know what you're talking about you would just be
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: one step from insane yeah.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: Well, I like in the newspaper, there's still that guy
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: who you write in your funny movie questions.
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: I'm just like, God damn it.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: There's Google for that. Fire this guy. Get a real column.
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: I remember, yeah, when I was a kid, that made sense.
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: Because I remember, and people would argue, they would read
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: it and be like, oh, he's wrong. It was funny
- 1:13:50Speaker 6: that he was wrong about half the shit, according to
- 1:13:52Speaker 6: most people I knew. But, yeah, now, once the internet
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: came up online, what is the point of that guy?
- 1:13:59Speaker 6: I'm like, if you want to wait, you know, six
- 1:14:01Speaker 6: weeks for him to get around to printing your answer.
- 1:14:04Speaker 9: Not everybody has the internet. Maybe it's for old people
- 1:14:06Speaker 9: that don't know any better.
- 1:14:07Speaker 6: Old people don't need to know answers, then. kid to
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: the yeah get your grandkid to come over and like.
- 1:14:12Speaker 9: If it's an old person who has no family geez
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: people be more sensitive.
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: Oh wow that was misty's halloween prank on you guys
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: she was pretending to care.
- 1:14:26Speaker 9: Like some old spinster who has like 48 cats. Her
- 1:14:29Speaker 9: cats don't know the answers.
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: Their cats don't have thumbs.
- 1:14:32Speaker 9: They can't look shit up.
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: If they're kittens, they probably got like an iPhone. They
- 1:14:35Speaker 6: know the internet at this point.
- 1:14:36Speaker 9: They don't have thumbs.
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: Yesterday, I made a new friend. Her name was Megan.
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: You would have hated this girl.
- 1:14:44Speaker 9: Number one.
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: It doesn't take much.
- 1:14:45Speaker 12: No, no, no.
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: She was the sweetest girl I've ever met.
- 1:14:48Speaker 9: What was her last name?
- 1:14:49Speaker 7: I have no idea.
- 1:14:49Speaker 9: Did she have red hair?
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:14:51Speaker 9: Was she about my age?
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: Probably, no, she was like 23.
- 1:14:54Speaker 9: Oh, then.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:56Speaker 9: I don't like her already, so whatever.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: She was very sweet, but almost too sweet. Like, we
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: were standing in line to get hot dogs at the
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: concession stand, and there was this girl wearing these ridiculous
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: high-water pants. And Tara was like, look at that girl's
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: fucking high-water pants.
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: What a loser.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: And that girl was like, maybe she just can't afford
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: to get new pants. Maybe she's really poor. And Tara
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: was like, well, I guess.
- 1:15:22Speaker 7: She goes, you know what?
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: No.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: No.
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: Fuck that girl. I don't feel bad.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: It costs $ 10 to get in here. You can buy
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: pants at Goodwill for $ 2 that fit your fucking ass.
- 1:15:31Speaker 9: See, I'm not sure if I like her because she's
- 1:15:33Speaker 9: nice or because she kind of like trying to make
- 1:15:36Speaker 9: that other girl feel bad about being mean to the
- 1:15:37Speaker 9: other girl.
- 1:15:38Speaker 7: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:15:39Speaker 9: She was too nice.
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: She was just like.
- 1:15:40Speaker 9: Kind of like snobby nice?
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: No, not really.
- 1:15:44Speaker 6: She was like... Genuine nice, which seems weird to us.
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: Yeah, it was very weird.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: You know, like.
- 1:15:49Speaker 9: No, but it's like... She still can't... To me, it's like...
- 1:15:52Speaker 9: I'm going to be nice to her, but because you
- 1:15:53Speaker 9: made that comment, I want to say something that makes
- 1:15:54Speaker 9: you feel bad about what you said about her.
- 1:15:57Speaker 7: She was just trying to like.
- 1:15:58Speaker 6: She was trying to defend her. I see this. I
- 1:16:01Speaker 6: don't understand it mostly, but I get where.
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: And then, you know, when we were watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre,
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: we were terrible people.
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: I realize this. All of my friends are.
- 1:16:11Speaker 12: We all are.
- 1:16:11Speaker 9: It's okay.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: But Franklin... The invalid? We're like, ha ha, invalid. We're
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: going to start calling people invalid instead of retard. We're
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: going to start saying that's so invalid instead of that's
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: so retarded. Which I realize is like, yeah, we operate
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: on like an eighth grade level max.
- 1:16:28Speaker 9: And you still already passed me out.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: But that girl i don't know she didn't say anything
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: snarky or snark towards us but again kind of like
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: defended it a little bit you know we because we
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: all like laughed and clapped when franklin got chainsawed to
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: death we're like yeah yeah fuck that guy he was
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: annoying she was just he was annoying oh that's so sad.
- 1:16:49Speaker 7: She had to watch her little brother get murdered with
- 1:16:51Speaker 7: the chainsaw and we're like.
- 1:16:52Speaker 9: Yeah at least now she ain't gotta take care of
- 1:16:54Speaker 9: his ass.
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: Anymore i know Yeah. She was, like, too nice.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: And she had the brightest, reddest hair I've ever seen
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: in my life. And the most freckles on one person ever.
- 1:17:03Speaker 9: She had more freckles than Laura Flynn Boyle? Yeah.
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: She was very pretty, but, yeah, you would have hated
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: her guts.
- 1:17:10Speaker 9: I do already.
- 1:17:10Speaker 7: Interesting. Hated her.
- 1:17:12Speaker 9: I went to school with a girl named Megan. She
- 1:17:14Speaker 9: had red hair and freckles. I called her a bitch
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: all the time.
- 1:17:17Speaker 6: I can't imagine.
- 1:17:18Speaker 9: I don't remember. I just don't call her a bitch.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Ouch.
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: I'm assuming in your mind, yes, she was.
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: She was really nice, too. That's never stopped me.
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: You're so nice, you fucking bitch.
- 1:17:30Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:17:32Speaker 7: Love this story.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: Yeah. I was just like, oh, I know someone who
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: will hate your guts. Which is funny, because imagine her
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: being the type of person who no one really hates.
- 1:17:44Speaker 9: She hasn't met me yet.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:17:47Speaker 9: I got the ability to hate anybody, anytime, for any
- 1:17:49Speaker 9: given reason.
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: It's a gift.
- 1:17:53Speaker 6: Oh, man.
- 1:17:54Speaker 9: I still hate a guy who sang the entire 100
- 1:17:56Speaker 9: bottles of beer on the wall within a five-foot radius
- 1:17:58Speaker 9: of me. If I ever see him, I.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: Will punch him.
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: You hate that guy that made you watch, like, Mr.
- 1:18:04Speaker 9: Show. Oh, I fucking hate him. Don, if you're out there,
- 1:18:07Speaker 9: you're a bastard, and I hope you fucking die a horrible,
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: painful fucking death.
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: I think he's one of our friends, though.
- 1:18:12Speaker 8: Is he?
- 1:18:12Speaker 9: Well, I don't care. I don't care if he knows
- 1:18:13Speaker 9: I hate him.
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: I mean, fuck.
- 1:18:14Speaker 9: He made me watch Mr.
- 1:18:15Speaker 11: Show.
- 1:18:15Speaker 9: I fucking hated that show. I wanted to go sit outside.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: But.
- 1:18:18Speaker 9: Ugh. Still mad about that.
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: That's considered genius in comedy circles, by the way.
- 1:18:24Speaker 9: Ugh, I fucking hated that show. I do love.
- 1:18:26Speaker 7: Isn't David Cross in it?
- 1:18:27Speaker 6: I do like David Cross. It's weird because he... I
- 1:18:30Speaker 6: don't know. He seems slightly different than I remember that
- 1:18:33Speaker 6: show being.
- 1:18:33Speaker 9: That show made me even more violent feeling than normal.
- 1:18:37Speaker 6: That's bad.
- 1:18:37Speaker 9: And it's probably not good for anybody in the surrounding area.
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: So.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 1:18:42Speaker 6: Did you see the G-Glen comment?
- 1:18:46Speaker 9: About how awesome I am?
- 1:18:47Speaker 6: He again comments on the new format, which, again, I
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: don't care. think it's a new format but.
- 1:18:51Speaker 9: Everybody's gonna be disappointed.
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: I'm glad i'm glad that he is looking forward to
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: it because that means he's looking forward to the new
- 1:18:57Speaker 6: episodes which are going to be awesome but he ends
- 1:18:59Speaker 6: it with oh yes more misty in all caps and
- 1:19:03Speaker 6: bold I.
- 1:19:04Speaker 9: Think you're paying people to say this. That's why I
- 1:19:07Speaker 9: keep showing up.
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: Brian can barely pay to keep the lights on.
- 1:19:09Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: He's bribing them with dollar tacos from Taco Bell.
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: That's all I can afford.
- 1:19:13Speaker 7: He paid for his dollar tacos with quarters.
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: It's really sad. I'm not kidding. It's sad. Oh, so yeah,
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: it says more Misty. She cracked me up. So once again.
- 1:19:24Speaker 9: I crack myself up.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: Yes, you do. I do.
- 1:19:29Speaker 9: I'm retarded because I know Marlena's way funnier than me,
- 1:19:31Speaker 9: and Joni, when she's actually here, is somewhat funnier than me.
- 1:19:37Speaker 6: Oh, well.
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: I'm not funnier, I'm just, like, dumber.
- 1:19:40Speaker 6: I know somebody that.
- 1:19:41Speaker 9: I don't know, I'm pretty damn dumb.
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: I know somebody that likes both of you, and let's
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: hear from them. Because this week we heard from Randy.
- 1:19:47Speaker 9: Yay, Randy!
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: Randy!
- 1:19:51Speaker 9: I told Randy he's my favorite. He's my favorite listener.
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: And I told him that it wasn't even just because
- 1:19:56Speaker 9: he's the only one who calls in, either.
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: You can't see it, Randy, but every time we say Randy,
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: I say, yay, Randy. And I do this little hand motion.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: And in my mind, there's a rainbow that comes from
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: my hands.
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: I'm sure he actually is kind of excited by that.
- 1:20:13Speaker 9: I was like seeing his name. Randy.
- 1:20:17Speaker 3: We're going to find out where he lives and just
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: stand over his bed.
- 1:20:22Speaker 7: I think Jay has.
- 1:20:26Speaker 9: His phone number because apparently when it updated to his Facebook,
- 1:20:29Speaker 9: it put Randy's phone number in Jay's phone. He's like... dude,
- 1:20:32Speaker 9: we should call Randy.
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: I have it if you want to call him.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: I don't think he cares, really.
- 1:20:37Speaker 6: We should find out where he lives, get over his.
- 1:20:39Speaker 7: Bed, and be like, Randy.
- 1:20:42Speaker 9: I'm coming to get you, Randy.
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: I'm not sure how his wife would feel about that,
- 1:20:45Speaker 6: but all right.
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: And then Lisa would wake up and be like, what
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: the fuck are you guys doing in my house?
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: Get out.
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: Aren't you that weirdo I lent my phone charger? Get
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: out of my bedroom.
- 1:20:54Speaker 7: Thanks for that, by the way.
- 1:20:58Speaker 9: I just came to use your phone charger again.
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: I know it was a really long drive, but I
- 1:21:02Speaker 6: wanted to charge my phone a lot.
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: That was a cackle.
- 1:21:07Speaker 6: Well, it's the Halloween episode. You can do that.
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: My legs are so freakishly muscular.
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: Okay, back to Randy's message.
- 1:21:17Speaker 7: Randy!
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: That rhymes with candy.
- 1:21:22Speaker 19: Hey guys, it's Randy.
- 1:21:23Speaker 13: I have no song or dance this time.
- 1:21:25Speaker 19: I just figured I'd check in because I'm sitting in
- 1:21:27Speaker 19: traffic and you're making my shitty, rainy, miserable commute wonderful.
- 1:21:32Speaker 19: I just wanted to point out, am I the only
- 1:21:34Speaker 19: one who thinks it's odd that Marlene is like, nothing
- 1:21:37Speaker 19: happened to me, but... There's a pause in conversation and
- 1:21:41Speaker 19: she's talking to the captain, the 88-year-old, shotgun swinging, like
- 1:21:47Speaker 19: recreating World War II in his backyard against rodents and
- 1:21:51Speaker 19: birds with a mental patient wife teetering around him.
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: Background.
- 1:21:54Speaker 13: Am I the only one that's like, it's.
- 1:21:57Speaker 12: Going on right now!
- 1:21:59Speaker 13: Don't you hear it? Don't you hear it? I'm glad, Roger,
- 1:22:03Speaker 13: that you didn't take my advice.
- 1:22:05Speaker 19: I'm even more glad that I didn't try to put
- 1:22:09Speaker 19: together a small outfit because if you were going to
- 1:22:11Speaker 19: do that, my second thought was that if you could
- 1:22:15Speaker 19: have dressed the squirrel in the same sort of clothes
- 1:22:17Speaker 19: that your target would wear, that would send more of
- 1:22:19Speaker 19: a direct message, you know.
- 1:22:21Speaker 13: And It takes a little bit more time.
- 1:22:23Speaker 19: And obviously you're not an artist and crafty or a
- 1:22:26Speaker 19: deviant son of a bitch, and I think that's a
- 1:22:29Speaker 19: wonderful thing.
- 1:22:30Speaker 13: Keep watching movies. Keep talking about them.
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: We'll keep listening.
- 1:22:33Speaker 9: Take care, guys.
- 1:22:35Speaker 7: My boob was falling out of my bra.
- 1:22:38Speaker 9: That's what I was doing. Isn't that always the case? No.
- 1:22:41Speaker 7: Well, like, sometimes it comes out of the top, but
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: this bra, they come out of the bottom.
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: Randy, she heard your voice, and it just jumped out
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: at you. So she's that excited by hearing your voice.
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:22:52Speaker 6: Once again, I don't know how Lisa's going to take
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: to that.
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: That's all you say in that, Brian.
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: Hey, we visually saw it going on. I didn't want
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: to dig it around in your brassiere area. As soon
- 1:23:04Speaker 6: as you heard Randy's voice.
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: It's uncomfortable when that happens.
- 1:23:09Speaker 9: When you hear Randy's voice.
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: No.
- 1:23:13Speaker 9: When you hear Randy's voice.
- 1:23:16Speaker 11: Oh, Randy.
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: I never said that the two things were connected.
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: Just seemed kind of odd.
- 1:23:24Speaker 7: Pretty likely coincidence.
- 1:23:27Speaker 6: Oh, and yes, we all kind of realize that she
- 1:23:30Speaker 6: sometimes loses perspective on these stories as nothing happened. Equals
- 1:23:36Speaker 6: crazy shotgun wielding neighbor.
- 1:23:38Speaker 13: Well, yeah.
- 1:23:40Speaker 7: I don't know. I just have a very strange... Strange.
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: People come up to me and strange things happen. I'm
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: like a magnet for it. I don't do anything. It
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: just happens.
- 1:23:51Speaker 6: Oh, and I guess we can try to pass on
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: that message to Roger, but he didn't show, and truthfully,
- 1:23:55Speaker 6: we haven't heard from him in about two weeks, so
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: I'm beginning to think... In a ditch. I'm beginning to
- 1:23:59Speaker 6: think maybe he tried the squirrel thing and blew himself up.
- 1:24:02Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:24:03Speaker 6: That may be what's become of him, so I don't know.
- 1:24:06Speaker 7: He's MIA. He was kidnapped by gorillas.
- 1:24:09Speaker 9: Like.
- 1:24:10Speaker 13: War gorilla.
- 1:24:11Speaker 7: It's not like animal gorilla.
- 1:24:13Speaker 9: No, it's better when big monkeys let go.
- 1:24:15Speaker 7: It was the Jeffersonville monster.
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: You said gorilla, not gorilla.
- 1:24:20Speaker 7: Gorilla.
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: Okay, yeah.
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: I forget that there's a difference in pronunciation.
- 1:24:25Speaker 6: Sadly, I'm doing Martin short. All right, moving on. We
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: have more from Randy because... You know, that was mostly
- 1:24:31Speaker 6: about Marlena and Roger, so we couldn't have that.
- 1:24:33Speaker 9: You know, I get jealous.
- 1:24:34Speaker 19: Hey, it's Randy, and I almost forgot to say, has
- 1:24:37Speaker 19: anybody mentioned just how awesome Misty is? I mean, it
- 1:24:40Speaker 19: was just going through my mind, like, oh, my God,
- 1:24:42Speaker 19: she's so awesome. And I just love Misty. Rusty is
- 1:24:46Speaker 19: pretty cool, too, but Misty, wow!
- 1:24:50Speaker 6: So at that point, I think he just, like, ran
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: off the road. He was, like, so excited with Misty-ness
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: that he just, like, wow! So, yeah, I'm going to
- 1:25:00Speaker 6: have to.
- 1:25:01Speaker 9: Let us know if you're okay, Randy.
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:25:02Speaker 9: Because we're concerned about your well-being, considering you're the one
- 1:25:04Speaker 9: who ever calls in and you're our favorite.
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: I think he was so excited he swerved into a
- 1:25:07Speaker 6: tree or something.
- 1:25:08Speaker 9: I don't say that. I don't worry about Randy.
- 1:25:11Speaker 6: Maybe he ended up in the same ditch as Roger.
- 1:25:14Speaker 9: But we like Randy.
- 1:25:18Speaker 11: Nice.
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: It would not make sense for them to be in
- 1:25:20Speaker 9: the same ditch. Randy lives far, far away.
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: He flew really far out of the vehicle. All right,
- 1:25:28Speaker 6: do we want.
- 1:25:30Speaker 9: Randy, you're my favorite. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: Thank you, Randy, for calling in. Do we want Jay's
- 1:25:38Speaker 6: response at this point?
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 1:25:40Speaker 9: Sure. Okay.
- 1:25:41Speaker 6: Actually, it's mostly about... Once again, it's mostly about Misty,
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: so she should be excited, except... I hear.
- 1:25:47Speaker 9: It all the time.
- 1:25:48Speaker 6: And it's about you being angry.
- 1:25:50Speaker 9: I am pretty angry.
- 1:25:50Speaker 6: Which you are angry all the time. All right, here
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: we go.
- 1:25:53Speaker 9: Usually if it's him, it's usually about how angry I
- 1:25:55Speaker 9: am or how cute my toes are.
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: And he likes to tell you about how cute you're just.
- 1:25:58Speaker 9: I make him tell me.
- 1:25:59Speaker 6: I can see that, actually.
- 1:26:02Speaker 13: Hey, Movie Meltdown and Movie Meltdown listeners.
- 1:26:05Speaker 20: This is Jay.
- 1:26:06Speaker 13: I am stuck in the far reaches of the babysitting dimension,
- 1:26:11Speaker 13: stuck here at home, as Misty is on her way
- 1:26:16Speaker 13: and sweating her butt off in traffic because of a
- 1:26:18Speaker 13: huge wreck. So she's not going to probably be too happy.
- 1:26:23Speaker 9: When So you guys better.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Stay away from her and be nice to her.
- 1:26:29Speaker 13: And if there's any redheads in the area, you better duck. Hey,
- 1:26:37Speaker 13: congratulations on your 100th show. Really wanted to be there,
- 1:26:42Speaker 13: but I guess I can't because I'm over here. So
- 1:26:44Speaker 13: that pretty much makes me not over there. Okay, so hey, whatever. Wow,
- 1:26:52Speaker 13: 100 shows. That's pretty cool. That's awesome. At least you
- 1:26:55Speaker 13: guys have 100 shows and you didn't just have one
- 1:26:58Speaker 13: show and then everybody told you they'd get lost. So
- 1:27:00Speaker 13: that's cool. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to
- 1:27:03Speaker 13: a couple more shows. Hope you guys enjoyed the Halloween
- 1:27:07Speaker 13: 3 movie. I know I didn't. Thought it was one
- 1:27:10Speaker 13: of the worst Halloween movies that was ever made. Made
- 1:27:14Speaker 13: absolutely no sense. Not even sure why they even made
- 1:27:18Speaker 13: that movie, if they were gonna switch stuff up or what.
- 1:27:21Speaker 13: But probably one of my least favorite Halloween movies. But
- 1:27:25Speaker 13: aside from the first one, it sticks out in my
- 1:27:29Speaker 13: mind the most. Anyways, we've been Meltdown. You guys have
- 1:27:34Speaker 13: a great 100th episode, and hopefully I will see you soon.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: All right? Bye.
- 1:27:40Speaker 9: Yeah, I was fucking pissed. I was so fucking mad.
- 1:27:43Speaker 9: I was on the phone, and I was yelling. I
- 1:27:45Speaker 9: was so pissed because before I left the house, I
- 1:27:48Speaker 9: was like, why don't you go check the traffic cam?
- 1:27:51Speaker 9: I want to know how traffic looks. Traffic looked fine.
- 1:27:55Speaker 9: I get off 65 and it's fucking stopped at a
- 1:27:58Speaker 9: complete fucking standstill. I'm like, are you fucking serious?
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: It was bad.
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: It was bad when I got there, but I don't
- 1:28:04Speaker 3: even think there was a wreck yet.
- 1:28:05Speaker 7: There were like two cops. There were two cops blocking
- 1:28:07Speaker 7: the exit to get to second street bridge.
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: So I don't know why it was so busy.
- 1:28:13Speaker 6: Just to mess with you guys.
- 1:28:14Speaker 9: Yeah, because apparently it was busy when he went. He
- 1:28:17Speaker 9: was coming back across from going doing some man thing
- 1:28:19Speaker 9: this morning, and then he came back. And apparently in
- 1:28:22Speaker 9: between the time that he got back and when I
- 1:28:24Speaker 9: got there, there was a big fucking five-car wreck. And
- 1:28:27Speaker 9: it was just fucking ridiculous and goddamn Conway. I love
- 1:28:31Speaker 9: my car. I do. Except for when he decides that
- 1:28:34Speaker 9: I don't need to have air conditioning, which seems to
- 1:28:36Speaker 9: be a quite a bit this lately and i like
- 1:28:39Speaker 9: it when it's hot and i'm sitting in traffic for
- 1:28:41Speaker 9: almost an hour and a half with no air conditioning
- 1:28:43Speaker 9: just sitting there being miserable i was throwing profanities i
- 1:28:46Speaker 9: was yelling at people people in cars i don't know
- 1:28:49Speaker 9: who they were that doesn't matter i probably shouldn't yell
- 1:28:52Speaker 9: at people in cars when we're in the lounge you're
- 1:28:54Speaker 9: stopped yeah it's not a good idea But yeah, I
- 1:28:59Speaker 9: was not at all fucking pleased. I almost turned around
- 1:29:02Speaker 9: and went home, but then I couldn't get over to
- 1:29:05Speaker 9: the exit.
- 1:29:07Speaker 6: And you would have missed the fantabulous I Gotta Rock
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: Halloween special.
- 1:29:11Speaker 9: And I figured it was just the two of you,
- 1:29:13Speaker 9: and I'd feel bad for leaving just the two of y'all.
- 1:29:15Speaker 6: That would kind of suck, because we can do the
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: movie discussions with two, but the actual entire show becomes
- 1:29:24Speaker 6: pretty difficult with two people. So we're trying to keep
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: it up to date.
- 1:29:29Speaker 9: But yeah, next time if there's traffic, I'm going home
- 1:29:31Speaker 9: and y'all are fucked.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: I'm sorry. Nice.
- 1:29:34Speaker 9: Well, at least it's getting cooler, so maybe it won't
- 1:29:36Speaker 9: be as hot next time.
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: Fucking traffic. And I like that Jade detaches himself. I'm like, well,
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: you've been there for almost all of those shows. I mean,
- 1:29:45Speaker 6: he's missed quite a few along the way, but he's
- 1:29:47Speaker 6: been here since episode five. Yeah. He came in on
- 1:29:52Speaker 6: episode five.
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: Who did you all start off with?
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: I mean, the only three that are still around are me, her,
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: and I guess Roger if he's not in a ditch.
- 1:29:59Speaker 9: Is it Deanna?
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: Deanna was there for the first three episodes.
- 1:30:03Speaker 9: Did she work at Suncoast with you? She was nice.
- 1:30:05Speaker 9: She didn't last long.
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: She just didn't have much to say, which it seemed
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: pointless for her to sit there every week. I was like,
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: you can not sit here if you don't want to.
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: You don't have to.
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: I'm going to.
- 1:30:15Speaker 6: Sucker Jay in.
- 1:30:16Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:30:17Speaker 6: So by episode five, Jay was on board. So it's
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: not so much.
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: If Roger is in a ditch, we're going to have
- 1:30:22Speaker 7: to sucker someone else in.
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: Well, you know, I'm always trying to sucker people in.
- 1:30:25Speaker 6: It's just, you know, with the exception of Greg, I
- 1:30:28Speaker 6: haven't found any victims lately. So we'll try to work
- 1:30:32Speaker 6: him more and see what we can do there. But
- 1:30:35Speaker 6: other than that, we're still trying to rope some new
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: people in.
- 1:30:37Speaker 9: We can change in the attic and then bring him
- 1:30:39Speaker 9: down for special occasions.
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: See, I invited Eddie last time he was in town,
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: but he was going to be gone in a matter
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: of hours like he does.
- 1:30:45Speaker 9: We can loan him out to Marlena.
- 1:30:48Speaker 7: And he's a wild stallion. I don't think he can be.
- 1:30:50Speaker 6: He can't be broken.
- 1:30:51Speaker 12: I don't think he can be.
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: Not even by Gabrielle Lanois.
- 1:30:53Speaker 9: Wild stallions.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: By who?
- 1:30:56Speaker 6: Gabrielle Lanois.
- 1:30:58Speaker 16: Who?
- 1:30:58Speaker 9: Never mind.
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: So... Oh, but yeah. So, once again, that does include you, Jay.
- 1:31:06Speaker 6: I don't know why exactly that became us. But it
- 1:31:08Speaker 6: is nice that the only one who specifically called in
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: for episode 100 was Jay.
- 1:31:14Speaker 9: Never mind him.
- 1:31:15Speaker 6: That's funny. I thought that was kind of funny, actually.
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: So.
- 1:31:18Speaker 9: Happy 100 to us.
- 1:31:20Speaker 19: Woo-hoo.
- 1:31:22Speaker 6: We rock.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: And I got to rock.
- 1:31:24Speaker 12: So.
- 1:31:26Speaker 9: Oh, sons of bitches. I dropped my candy corn. But
- 1:31:29Speaker 9: it's just on the table. It's so good.
- 1:31:30Speaker 7: Five-second rule. Five-second rule.
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: I got it.
- 1:31:31Speaker 9: It's good.
- 1:31:32Speaker 6: It works on the table. I wouldn't apply that to
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: the floor. So once again, thank you to everybody who
- 1:31:37Speaker 6: has contacted us in the many, many avenues.
- 1:31:40Speaker 9: Thanks the most to Randy, though.
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: Of which I'm trying to keep up with. But you
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: got nice comments from all of them. Eskimo said many
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: nice things about you.
- 1:31:47Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:31:47Speaker 6: And he virtual high-fived you.
- 1:31:50Speaker 9: Virtual luck-o-bump.
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: And jiggling, which I don't know if I'm even saying
- 1:31:56Speaker 6: that right. So let us know if I'm mispronouncing that.
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: I am awesome.
- 1:32:01Speaker 9: Thank you for saying so.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: Oh, Lord.
- 1:32:04Speaker 6: So, yep, we got many nice comments. So thank you
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: to everyone who has sent them our way. I do
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: appreciate all the comments.
- 1:32:08Speaker 9: I don't want anybody to think that I don't appreciate them.
- 1:32:10Speaker 9: I appreciate for everybody to tell me how awesome I am.
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 1:32:14Speaker 9: I'm just Randy.
- 1:32:16Speaker 6: Keep all the wonderful, misty comments coming. And I guess
- 1:32:20Speaker 6: the rest of us like to hear from you, too.
- 1:32:21Speaker 9: Because usually my comments, they aren't so awesome.
- 1:32:24Speaker 6: Not usual. Just lately.
- 1:32:27Speaker 9: But I've always said the same shit, so I don't
- 1:32:29Speaker 9: know the difference. That's true. Don't be shy.
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: Just let your.
- 1:32:35Speaker 9: Feelings roll on by.
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: Don't be shy. We'd like to hear from you. So
- 1:32:40Speaker 5: give us a call at 502-365-5565. Or you can email
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: us at geeksatmoviemeltdown.com. And just stop by the website for
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: our frequent updates. That's moviemeltdown.com.
- 1:32:54Speaker 14: On by, on by.
- 1:32:57Speaker 6: On by, on by. Now give us your salute to
- 1:33:00Speaker 6: Candy Corn.
- 1:33:02Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 1:33:03Speaker 6: I don't think those were words.
- 1:33:08Speaker 9: I'm going to throw up later.
- 1:33:15Speaker 11: That's awesome.
- 1:33:17Speaker 9: Oh, I got a deformed candy.
- 1:33:20Speaker 6: That seems fitting, actually.
- 1:33:22Speaker 9: I'm going to eat it anyway. I'm going to eat
- 1:33:26Speaker 9: my little.
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: I have to eat candy corns according to the colors.
- 1:33:32Speaker 7: I bite off the white piece and then eat the
- 1:33:33Speaker 7: orange piece.
- 1:33:33Speaker 9: I'll do it the opposite way. I eat the yellow
- 1:33:35Speaker 9: part first.
- 1:33:36Speaker 6: You're both weirdo. I throw like six of them.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: In my mouth.
- 1:33:38Speaker 11: I don't care.
- 1:33:39Speaker 9: It's deformed too. It's got no orange in the middle.
- 1:33:42Speaker 9: It's just got top and bottom.
- 1:33:42Speaker 6: It looks just like a bullet. I had one of
- 1:33:45Speaker 6: those earlier.
- 1:33:46Speaker 7: How would you eat it if there's no orange?
- 1:33:47Speaker 9: How would you know?
- 1:33:48Speaker 6: Oh my God. You'll lose your mind.
- 1:33:50Speaker 3: And this is off subject, but I was walking through
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: the hallway at school the other day. And someone had
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: done a fake poster for Strangers with Candy.
- 1:33:58Speaker 7: I was like, who is this? I need to marry
- 1:34:00Speaker 7: this person right now. I got really excited.
- 1:34:02Speaker 3: And I was with friends who have no idea what
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: Strangers with Candy is. And they didn't understand why I
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: was jumping up in the hallway.
- 1:34:08Speaker 9: They should just know you and know that's kind of
- 1:34:10Speaker 9: to be expected.
- 1:34:11Speaker 6: And be like, oh, it's one of your weird things.
- 1:34:13Speaker 6: Never mind.
- 1:34:13Speaker 9: I was like some Marlena thing. Were you hyperventilating? Strangers
- 1:34:16Speaker 9: with Candy. Strangers with Candy.
- 1:34:19Speaker 7: I really did that. I really did that.
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: And this has been another Marlena.
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: Actually, one of the girls I was with is weirder
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: than I am.
- 1:34:26Speaker 6: Is that even possible? I don't think that's possible.
- 1:34:29Speaker 7: Yeah, no, it totally is. Totally is. She's way weirder
- 1:34:32Speaker 7: than me.
- 1:34:33Speaker 9: Wow, that's saying something.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:34:37Speaker 6: Okay, kids, get out your decoder pens. Don't you want
- 1:34:44Speaker 6: to do any Halloween-themed versions of cackling?
- 1:34:47Speaker 9: That's all I know.
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: Sorry. You can tell that tonight's message was really important.
- 1:34:59Speaker 6: It is time for the Movie Meltdown Secret Circle reel
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: of the next whatever the time that we want to
- 1:35:03Speaker 6: watch a movie feature. We've decided, yeah, as mentioned last
- 1:35:07Speaker 6: time out, we're not really picking two. In fact, we
- 1:35:10Speaker 6: may not even give you an exact one. We're just
- 1:35:13Speaker 6: going to give you a what's on the horizon, basically.
- 1:35:16Speaker 6: Because I know it's not going to be next week.
- 1:35:20Speaker 6: Because next week, and probably several weeks now, Misty and
- 1:35:22Speaker 6: Jay will be off doing things.
- 1:35:24Speaker 9: Next week's my birthday.
- 1:35:26Speaker 6: She's too cool to show up on her birthday.
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: Did i show up on my birthday i didn't i
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: didn't it wasn't part of this on my birthday i
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: don't think.
- 1:35:41Speaker 6: So anyway we we i'm attempting to throw something together
- 1:35:45Speaker 6: in between now and the next official full-out movie party
- 1:35:48Speaker 6: but um for the probably similar to last week's but
- 1:35:52Speaker 6: Aside from that, we were going to give you an
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: idea of what we're thinking for the next time we
- 1:35:57Speaker 6: all get together and do the full-fledged, you know, Buzz
- 1:36:00Speaker 6: Geek Week full-on show. So for that one, we're thinking
- 1:36:04Speaker 6: we're going to watch Survive Style 5, which has been
- 1:36:07Speaker 6: Marlena's pick for a while now.
- 1:36:09Speaker 9: Yeah, I love that movie.
- 1:36:11Speaker 6: All right, so that is the next Horizon movie.
- 1:36:15Speaker 9: This peanut butter eyeball, it's folded so that you can't
- 1:36:19Speaker 9: see the R, so it just says peanut butt. You're welcome.
- 1:36:28Speaker 6: Continue. Again, we're working on another self-contained sofa theater feature
- 1:36:35Speaker 6: between now and then, so we're still throwing some ideas around.
- 1:36:40Speaker 9: Are you still doing the Bigfoot movies? You should go
- 1:36:42Speaker 9: get the Bigfoot costume and wear it while you watch.
- 1:36:44Speaker 6: I was thinking that. I was thinking I need to
- 1:36:46Speaker 6: go get it, and then I can call up Rick
- 1:36:48Speaker 6: and be like, dude, guess what I'm wearing? I do
- 1:36:51Speaker 6: that about once a week with them. I just call
- 1:36:53Speaker 6: them up and go, guess what I'm wearing? And he's like, hey, Brian,
- 1:36:57Speaker 6: how's it going?
- 1:36:58Speaker 7: Who's Rick?
- 1:36:59Speaker 6: Samurai. He's from the Gentleman's Guide to Midnight Cinema. And
- 1:37:03Speaker 6: we've done the cryptids crossover episodes. Actually, he's just been
- 1:37:07Speaker 6: doing Bigfoots. Make him come down.
- 1:37:08Speaker 3: And investigate this monster in my woods.
- 1:37:11Speaker 6: He's like 20 minutes away.
- 1:37:14Speaker 14: Okay.
- 1:37:14Speaker 7: Come investigate the monster in my woods. For real, I'm serious. Like,
- 1:37:17Speaker 7: I'm serious.
- 1:37:19Speaker 6: I'm not sure he's qualified because I'm the one that
- 1:37:21Speaker 6: came up with this ridiculous idea. So I don't think
- 1:37:23Speaker 6: he's any more qualified than I am. But I'm sure
- 1:37:27Speaker 6: we've both considered that we need to go out and
- 1:37:30Speaker 6: like take pictures in some sort of. bigfoot catching gear
- 1:37:34Speaker 6: so we need to get dressed in like safari gear and.
- 1:37:36Speaker 9: Trust as bigfoot that we can lure them out.
- 1:37:37Speaker 6: Well we can do one of each one of us
- 1:37:39Speaker 6: can wear like safari gear and have a rifle and
- 1:37:42Speaker 6: the other can be in the bigfoot costume and we
- 1:37:43Speaker 6: can go lurk around your neighborhood and then see if
- 1:37:46Speaker 6: we bring out this other creature it was.
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: Little though it could have been a little foot but
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: not a bigfoot could have been a bigfoot baby.
- 1:37:53Speaker 6: Actually you ate the lunch with rick when we were
- 1:37:56Speaker 6: in tour around He was sitting next to us. He
- 1:37:58Speaker 6: took video of you.
- 1:37:59Speaker 9: I sat next to Randy.
- 1:38:00Speaker 7: Is he the one with the glasses?
- 1:38:01Speaker 9: I sat next to Randy when Randy brought me cake.
- 1:38:06Speaker 9: That's another reason Randy's my favorite. He brought me cake.
- 1:38:09Speaker 9: Anybody who brings me chocolatey goods, I'm a good list.
- 1:38:14Speaker 6: We also brought him treats.
- 1:38:15Speaker 9: And his wife told me that he did not lick
- 1:38:17Speaker 9: the cake, so I was okay with it.
- 1:38:20Speaker 6: That was just the piece he was going to give
- 1:38:21Speaker 6: to Marlene.
- 1:38:24Speaker 9: That just means he likes you special.
- 1:38:25Speaker 6: That means he really likes you.
- 1:38:28Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:38:31Speaker 6: All right, any other horrors you want to pass along
- 1:38:33Speaker 6: for this horrific I Gotta Rock special episode?
- 1:38:35Speaker 9: I feel like we should have done more for Halloween.
- 1:38:37Speaker 9: We should have talked about Halloween movies that are our
- 1:38:39Speaker 9: favorite or any kind of thing like that.
- 1:38:41Speaker 7: Or our favorite costume ever that we dressed up as.
- 1:38:44Speaker 9: Any favorite Halloween moments or anything?
- 1:38:46Speaker 7: Favorite Halloween moments real fast.
- 1:38:47Speaker 6: Okay, go for it.
- 1:38:49Speaker 9: Oh, my God, I don't know.
- 1:38:50Speaker 6: I can give you mine because it took place last night. Actually,
- 1:38:53Speaker 6: I don't know if it's favorite. It's just most recent,
- 1:38:55Speaker 6: and I was thinking it's very geeky-oriented. So this is
- 1:39:00Speaker 6: me passing on my geekery to the next generation. I
- 1:39:03Speaker 6: was around my family yesterday, so I got to be
- 1:39:07Speaker 6: around my niece and nephew, and I was chasing my
- 1:39:09Speaker 6: niece around because she's awesome, and that was just funny.
- 1:39:13Speaker 6: She would run in circles, and I would attack her
- 1:39:14Speaker 6: from the other side, being the creepy uncle that I am.
- 1:39:17Speaker 6: And then... Creepy Uncle Brian.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: Not in the way that everyone else is probably thinking, though.
- 1:39:22Speaker 4: No.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: No.
- 1:39:23Speaker 6: But I am reminded by her father that I'm the
- 1:39:25Speaker 6: creepy uncle on a regular occasion, almost every time I
- 1:39:27Speaker 6: see him.
- 1:39:27Speaker 9: Yeah, but he's a redhead.
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: Yeah, he is.
- 1:39:29Speaker 6: We don't trust that guy. So, the... But the super
- 1:39:33Speaker 6: geeky thing was then... My nephew had a, they were
- 1:39:37Speaker 6: given out, or actually on some cake they had, they
- 1:39:39Speaker 6: had all these little monster rings. And so they were
- 1:39:41Speaker 6: all playing around with them. And then, well, first of all,
- 1:39:43Speaker 6: it was funny that he found a way to scam
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: his sister out of the one that glows in the dark.
- 1:39:47Speaker 6: He's like, hey, I'll give you this one. You give
- 1:39:49Speaker 6: me that one. Because hers didn't glow in the dark.
- 1:39:52Speaker 6: But then he had one that had the green monster
- 1:39:56Speaker 6: character on it. And he referred to it as Frankenstein.
- 1:39:59Speaker 6: And I corrected him. Now, in the real world, I
- 1:40:02Speaker 6: don't do that because I think that's kind of a douchey,
- 1:40:05Speaker 6: super uber geek thing to do to be like, well, technically,
- 1:40:08Speaker 6: that's actually Frankenstein's monster. The doctor was Frankenstein.
- 1:40:11Speaker 9: But you've got to geekify him, right? You don't want
- 1:40:13Speaker 9: him growing up and getting his shit wrong.
- 1:40:14Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying. This was, he was a little
- 1:40:16Speaker 6: kid and he had no idea of that knowledge. So
- 1:40:19Speaker 6: I was like, you know what? I'm going to at
- 1:40:21Speaker 6: least open his mind to the fact that, you know,
- 1:40:25Speaker 6: somewhere down the line when he has to read that
- 1:40:26Speaker 6: book for school or he watches that movie, which I
- 1:40:29Speaker 6: already told him I have it and he needs to
- 1:40:30Speaker 6: watch it. that he's going to realize, oh, I'm saying
- 1:40:33Speaker 6: it wrong. You know, this big green monster with bolts
- 1:40:36Speaker 6: in his neck isn't Frankenstein, according to the, you know, book,
- 1:40:40Speaker 6: the movie, pretty much anything. I still call him Frankenstein.
- 1:40:43Speaker 6: And that's the thing. In the real world, I don't
- 1:40:45Speaker 6: ever do that. In fact, I'll probably call him Frankenstein
- 1:40:48Speaker 6: because I know that's just the community itself. Geeks and
- 1:40:52Speaker 6: people around the world have just decided. I mean, it's
- 1:40:55Speaker 6: just become the standard now. That guy's Frankenstein. If he's green...
- 1:40:59Speaker 6: And he's got bolts in his neck, and that's Frankenstein,
- 1:41:02Speaker 6: and that's what people call him. So I don't correct
- 1:41:03Speaker 6: people in the real world, but I wanted to pass
- 1:41:06Speaker 6: along to this little kid who had no idea the
- 1:41:09Speaker 6: fact that there's a Dr. Frankenstein. And then I told
- 1:41:11Speaker 6: him about Igor. He kind of likes Igor, too. So
- 1:41:13Speaker 6: then he decided, it's funny that then afterwards he decided
- 1:41:17Speaker 6: not that he wanted to be Frankenstein the monster for
- 1:41:19Speaker 6: next year. He wanted to be Dr. Frankenstein. He wanted
- 1:41:22Speaker 6: a lab coat. He wants to be the mad scientist.
- 1:41:24Speaker 6: And then I think we convinced him that his little
- 1:41:26Speaker 6: sister needs to be Igor.
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:41:28Speaker 9: That is awesome.
- 1:41:30Speaker 6: Which I thought was funny, and we decided that by
- 1:41:33Speaker 6: next year, she'll be able to pick her own costumes,
- 1:41:34Speaker 6: and she's going to tell them to get lost, because
- 1:41:36Speaker 6: she ain't going to want to do that. Because she's
- 1:41:37Speaker 6: already pretty taken with her princess outfit for this year.
- 1:41:41Speaker 6: Which is funny, because she likes to play in the
- 1:41:42Speaker 6: dirt the whole rest of her life. She's such a tomboy,
- 1:41:44Speaker 6: but she got a princess dress. Is she going to
- 1:41:46Speaker 6: be Princess Igor? Sadly, I suggested Princess Igor, I believe.
- 1:41:50Speaker 6: Princess of the Hump, or something. I think I suggested
- 1:41:53Speaker 6: the hump. Her mom was not so big on that.
- 1:41:56Speaker 6: So that's been my most recent super geeky passing it
- 1:42:00Speaker 6: on to the next generation activity for Halloween.
- 1:42:02Speaker 9: I mean, I think as far as recent, I usually
- 1:42:05Speaker 9: love going to the Halloween street where all the Halloween
- 1:42:08Speaker 9: lights are. I mean, it's my favorite. It's just for
- 1:42:10Speaker 9: me and a kid. See, I never went trick-or-treating as
- 1:42:13Speaker 9: a kid. We just had Halloween parties at my grandma's house.
- 1:42:15Speaker 9: It was like me and my cousin Stevie and Erin.
- 1:42:17Speaker 7: You never went trick-or-treating?
- 1:42:18Speaker 9: I never went trick-or-treating. I was too afraid to go
- 1:42:21Speaker 9: knock on doors. I've always had social anxiety, even as
- 1:42:23Speaker 9: a small child. Even if I knew the person my
- 1:42:25Speaker 9: entire life, I could not go knock on their door
- 1:42:26Speaker 9: and ask for candy. Because, I mean, that goes against
- 1:42:28Speaker 9: everything you're fucking taught as a kid. You do not
- 1:42:30Speaker 9: go up and ask people for, you know, you don't go,
- 1:42:32Speaker 9: it's just to go to strangers. You don't go to
- 1:42:33Speaker 9: a stranger's fucking house and get me candy. I mean,
- 1:42:36Speaker 9: how is it okay that one night out of the year,
- 1:42:39Speaker 9: I mean, every other day, no fucking candy from strangers.
- 1:42:42Speaker 9: What makes it okay on that night?
- 1:42:44Speaker 7: Is it a special night?
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: I blame Sally.
- 1:42:46Speaker 9: Is it like a pact that all the strangers have
- 1:42:48Speaker 9: gotten together? Like, all right, on this one night, we're
- 1:42:50Speaker 9: not going to poison the kids. So that makes it okay.
- 1:42:52Speaker 6: Only razor blades. Strictly razor blades.
- 1:42:55Speaker 9: And it's just, it's never seemed like a good idea.
- 1:42:57Speaker 9: Like I said, I've gone to one door and I
- 1:42:59Speaker 9: couldn't even go knock on the door. And it's the
- 1:43:01Speaker 9: first time I had known my entire life. So I said,
- 1:43:03Speaker 9: I never went trick-or-treating. So the great pumpkin came to
- 1:43:05Speaker 9: see me every year. My mom would hide toys in
- 1:43:07Speaker 9: our house.
- 1:43:08Speaker 7: My mom did that for Easter.
- 1:43:09Speaker 9: I love Easter. My mom did it for Halloween. I
- 1:43:11Speaker 9: remember one year I was so excited because I got
- 1:43:13Speaker 9: my pink Barbie Corvette, which was a knockoff. It wasn't
- 1:43:16Speaker 9: actually Barbie, which I still have it. It's awesome. But yeah.
- 1:43:20Speaker 9: I guess that's one of my favorite parts about Halloween
- 1:43:21Speaker 9: is having toys hiding from me when I got up. Yeah.
- 1:43:26Speaker 9: The Halloween party we had at my grandma's house with
- 1:43:29Speaker 9: the big bucket of ice cold fucking water that you
- 1:43:31Speaker 9: had to shove your head in trying to get an apple.
- 1:43:33Speaker 6: I remember that.
- 1:43:34Speaker 9: And somebody else probably already put their teeth into it.
- 1:43:35Speaker 12: God damn it.
- 1:43:36Speaker 9: I don't even.
- 1:43:36Speaker 6: Like apples i went to that what like one year
- 1:43:39Speaker 6: and saw it yeah that was quite a ridiculous ordeal going.
- 1:43:42Speaker 9: On put a stickers bar it was like the apples
- 1:43:45Speaker 9: it evolved from the bucket of apples to the apple
- 1:43:47Speaker 9: on a.
- 1:43:48Speaker 6: String which is equally as sadistic these these halloween games
- 1:43:51Speaker 6: are just me.
- 1:43:52Speaker 7: Yeah, because in the end all you get is a
- 1:43:54Speaker 7: fucking apple.
- 1:43:55Speaker 9: I love apples. I do too. They have caramel apple
- 1:43:58Speaker 9: shakes that are so fucking delicious. It's like crack. I
- 1:44:01Speaker 9: want to put it in an IV and just have
- 1:44:03Speaker 9: it all the time. But yeah, I love Halloween parties
- 1:44:06Speaker 9: at my grandma's house. I love the bonfires with the
- 1:44:09Speaker 9: s'mores and the marshmallows and all that shit.
- 1:44:13Speaker 7: That sounds fun.
- 1:44:13Speaker 9: I want to go. Yeah, I shouldn't live out there anymore.
- 1:44:17Speaker 9: We should find somebody who does have a bonfire and
- 1:44:19Speaker 9: let's go. And mix more.
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: I hope she can have bonfires in her backyard.
- 1:44:23Speaker 9: Totally do.
- 1:44:24Speaker 6: Let's just go to Randy's house and not tell him
- 1:44:26Speaker 6: and start a bonfire in his backyard.
- 1:44:28Speaker 9: Don't tell Randy.
- 1:44:30Speaker 7: Shh.
- 1:44:30Speaker 9: Do you think he would borrow some of his marshmallows?
- 1:44:33Speaker 9: Do you think Randy would give us some marshmallows?
- 1:44:35Speaker 6: He'll just open the door and we'll be there with
- 1:44:37Speaker 6: a huge bonfire. He's like, what the fuck are you
- 1:44:39Speaker 6: guys doing in my yard?
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: Let's see if Christy wants to do it because she
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: always likes to have parties at her house and she
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: has karaoke and video games and she always makes food
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: and she has a.
- 1:44:47Speaker 7: Trampoline in her backyard.
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: Oh. S'mores. I love s'mores.
- 1:44:53Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:44:53Speaker 7: Let's do this.
- 1:44:54Speaker 9: You can never microwave them. They never taste the same
- 1:44:56Speaker 9: for microwaved s'mores.
- 1:44:57Speaker 7: My mom used to make them with her cigarette lighter.
- 1:45:00Speaker 6: I thought you were going to finish that. My mom
- 1:45:02Speaker 6: used to just put cigarettes out in the marshmallow and
- 1:45:04Speaker 6: call it a s'mores.
- 1:45:05Speaker 7: My mom used to eat cigarette ashes when she was.
- 1:45:07Speaker 9: A kid, though.
- 1:45:08Speaker 6: Again, this doesn't surprise me.
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: She and all my aunts and uncles, they would eat
- 1:45:13Speaker 3: my grandma's cigarette ashes out.
- 1:45:14Speaker 7: Of the ashtray. They're like, they taste like burned marshmallows. No,
- 1:45:17Speaker 7: they fucking taste like cigarette ashes, you weird fucking child.
- 1:45:19Speaker 6: That's creepy.
- 1:45:20Speaker 9: Do you have any Halloween stories?
- 1:45:24Speaker 7: Well, one's not too surprising for me.
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: You know, anytime I see my best friend's ex-boyfriend, Daniel,
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: he likes to bring this up.
- 1:45:33Speaker 7: We were dressed up for Halloween, and I don't remember
- 1:45:36Speaker 7: what I was. I think I was like.
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: Little Miss Muffet or something, you know, like one of
- 1:45:41Speaker 3: those little, it wasn't extremely slutty, but one of those
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: slutty Halloween fairy tales.
- 1:45:46Speaker 6: Slutty-esque.
- 1:45:48Speaker 9: I mean, you know, it's just like. Slutty girls in
- 1:45:50Speaker 9: slutty costumes, whoring it up.
- 1:45:52Speaker 6: There's no slutty Chewbacca over there.
- 1:45:56Speaker 9: Oh, God.
- 1:45:57Speaker 6: It's awesome.
- 1:45:57Speaker 9: No, but.
- 1:45:58Speaker 11: Slutty Chewbacca.
- 1:46:00Speaker 9: Slutty Chewbacca.
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: It was a short dress and there was a petticoat involved. So, actually,
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: I think I was Alice in Wonderland. So I had
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: the striped tights on, and I had underwear on under
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: the tights, and then.
- 1:46:10Speaker 7: I double-bagged it.
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: I shouldn't put underwear on the top of the tights.
- 1:46:13Speaker 7: But they were cute underwear that I bought specifically to match.
- 1:46:15Speaker 9: They were not granny panties?
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: Well, they were.
- 1:46:18Speaker 6: Were they ruffly, though?
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: They were ruffly.
- 1:46:20Speaker 6: Ruffly but resolved.
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: They specifically matched the dress. And then I had a
- 1:46:24Speaker 3: little petticoat. But I was, like, not really bent over,
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: but I was, like, doing something. And we were at
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: this place called the Baxter Avenue Morgue, which is, like,
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: a haunted house. And all these teenagers came out after
- 1:46:33Speaker 3: they were chased by the chainsaw guy. And one of
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: them yelled, damn, that girl's showing her religion. So anytime
- 1:46:43Speaker 3: I see Daniel, and this was like five years ago,
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: he still goes, damn, that girl's showing her religion.
- 1:46:50Speaker 6: I don't think that applies to girls.
- 1:46:53Speaker 7: I mean, I guess it can.
- 1:46:54Speaker 6: I don't really know what that means. I don't know
- 1:46:56Speaker 6: what that means. I mean, I would understand what that
- 1:46:58Speaker 6: means if you were talking about a guy. I'm not
- 1:47:01Speaker 6: so sure it applies to girls. Hey, I could be wrong.
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: If you're of that religion that that would make sense
- 1:47:06Speaker 6: to you, please call in and let us know because
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: I think that person was... I don't even understand what that.
- 1:47:11Speaker 9: Means at all, but.
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: I think i might be best not knowing that was
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: funny and then one year i dressed up as a
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: gangster and that was fun and then the next year
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: i was a zombie housewife i think.
- 1:47:24Speaker 9: I remember that you were dressed up too yeah i
- 1:47:27Speaker 9: never got big into the whole dressing up thing i
- 1:47:28Speaker 9: don't know i guess when i was a kid i
- 1:47:30Speaker 9: kind of did because everybody else was doing it but
- 1:47:31Speaker 9: once i reached like a certain age i'm just like no.
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: It got way more fun once i became an adult
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: actually i haven't dressed up in a while.
- 1:47:39Speaker 6: If there's no reason to, I don't understand it. Some
- 1:47:42Speaker 6: people just do it and then like sit around. I'm like,
- 1:47:44Speaker 6: unless there's a real reason, I'm not going to bother
- 1:47:46Speaker 6: because it's a big pain in the ass, which is
- 1:47:47Speaker 6: why for years I haven't dressed up because there's not
- 1:47:50Speaker 6: really anything to do, so what.
- 1:47:50Speaker 9: Do I care? Yeah.
- 1:47:52Speaker 7: I don't remember dressing up for like the last three
- 1:47:54Speaker 7: Halloweens at least.
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: Yep. Sad.
- 1:47:55Speaker 7: Sad story.
- 1:47:56Speaker 9: That's the horror of Halloween. I brought us down. We
- 1:48:00Speaker 9: were talking about Halloween stuff and now we're all sad again.
- 1:48:02Speaker 6: That's the horror of Halloween. Sometimes you get old and
- 1:48:06Speaker 6: it just dies. Alright.
- 1:48:09Speaker 9: Are we done? Now it's all depressed.
- 1:48:13Speaker 7: Brought it down.
- 1:48:15Speaker 6: Now Misty is wedging chocolate eyeballs into her eyes and
- 1:48:20Speaker 6: she kind of looks like Marty Feldman as Igor I.
- 1:48:25Speaker 9: Was calling more for the villain in Who Framed Roger.
- 1:48:28Speaker 6: Yeah actually he has the same kind of look so
- 1:48:30Speaker 6: yeah you sort of look like Doom I can't do
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: it now you look very much like Doom because they're
- 1:48:37Speaker 6: not even facing the right direction Now can you do
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: that super high-pitched voice that he does?
- 1:48:42Speaker 9: I can't do it now. Don't just like this. Don't
- 1:48:48Speaker 9: just like this. I can't do it now.
- 1:48:54Speaker 7: I can't do it either.
- 1:48:55Speaker 9: I know, it's hard, isn't it?
- 1:48:56Speaker 7: They're too big.
- 1:48:57Speaker 9: Oh, Lord.
- 1:48:58Speaker 6: That's what she said. I was hoping we wouldn't go.
- 1:49:01Speaker 9: Oh, look, I got it. I got it. Your ceiling eyes.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: Come on.
- 1:49:04Speaker 9: You love ceiling eyes.
- 1:49:06Speaker 17: Here.
- 1:49:09Speaker 6: Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week.
- 1:49:11Speaker 6: Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening and
- 1:49:14Speaker 6: happy Halloween. Marlena just dropped her eyes.
- 1:49:24Speaker 18: When I look out my window So many sights to
- 1:49:32Speaker 18: see And when I look in my window So many
- 1:49:41Speaker 18: different people to be.
- 1:49:45Speaker 12: That it's strange.
- 1:49:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:49:50Speaker 12: So strange.
- 1:49:56Speaker 20: You got to pick up every stitch.
- 1:50:02Speaker 12: You got to pick up every stitch.
- 1:50:07Speaker 20: You got to pick up every stitch. Must be the
- 1:50:14Speaker 20: season of the witch. Must be the season of the witch.
- 1:50:24Speaker 20: Must be the season of the witch.
- 1:50:41Speaker 18: When I look over my shoulder What in the world
- 1:50:47Speaker 18: do you think I see? Some other cat looking over
- 1:50:54Speaker 18: his shoulder Looking over his shoulder at me And he's strange.
- 1:51:04Speaker 12: Yeah, sure he's strange.
- 1:51:11Speaker 20: You better hear me now You've got to pick up
- 1:51:15Speaker 20: every stitch.
- 1:51:18Speaker 12: You've got to pick up every.
- 1:51:21Speaker 20: Stitch You've got to pick up every stitch.
- 1:51:31Speaker 12: Oh, no, yeah Oh, oh, must be the season of the.
- 1:51:40Speaker 20: Witch Oh, oh, must be the season of the witch Talking.
- 1:51:47Speaker 18: About the witch now, y'all You better hear what I
- 1:51:51Speaker 18: say every day Listen to me go my way now
- 1:51:57Speaker 18: When I look in my window.
- 1:52:02Speaker 12: What do you think I see?
- 1:52:08Speaker 18: And when I look out my window.
- 1:52:12Speaker 20: So many different people to be, yeah It's strange Sure
- 1:52:23Speaker 20: it's strange You've got to pick up every stitch now, y'all.
- 1:52:32Speaker 20: You've got to pick up every stitch, yeah, yeah.
- 1:52:40Speaker 12: You've got to pick up every stitch.
- 1:52:44Speaker 11: Oh, no.
- 1:52:48Speaker 20: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Must be the season of the witch.
- 1:52:58Speaker 18: It's got to be the season of the witch on.
- 1:53:04Speaker 18: That dirty, dirty witch night on.
- 1:53:12Speaker 12: You've got to pick up every stitch. You've got to
