  A secure place to stand. Everyone wants to feel secure.
• 0:15
  We all want something solid under our feet, something that
• 0:18
  doesn't shift every time life throws A curveball.
• 0:21
  Maybe for you security has looked like fitting in, being
• 0:24
  liked, getting good grades, hitting certain goals, or
• 0:28
  finally having enough money so you can relax.
• 0:31
  But if we're honest, those things don't always feel as
• 0:34
  stable as we hoped. One comment, one failure, one
• 0:38
  unexpected change, and suddenly everything feels shaky.
• 0:42
  That's why Proverbs chapter 10, verse 2 speaks so clearly.
• 0:47
  It says treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but
• 0:50
  righteousness delivers from death.
• 0:52
  In other words, not everything that looks like a win actually
• 0:56
  is 1. You can gain things fast,
• 0:59
  impress people, or get ahead the wrong way and still feel empty,
• 1:02
  anxious, or afraid of losing it all.
• 1:05
  But righteousness, choosing God's way, brings a kind of
• 1:08
  security that reaches deeper than circumstances.
• 1:12
  Psalm 16 shows us what that security looks like in real
• 1:15
  life. David says in Psalm chapter 16,
• 1:19
  verse 8, I have set the Lord always before me, because he is
• 1:23
  at my right hand. I shall not be shaken.
• 1:26
  Notice he doesn't say life won't be hard or that trouble won't
• 1:30
  come. He says he won't be shaken.
• 1:33
  The difference is where his focus is.
• 1:35
  God isn't an afterthought or an emergency option.
• 1:38
  God is set in front of him, close, present, steady.
• 1:42
  Then we see this lived out beautifully in Acts chapter 2.
• 1:46
  After the Holy Spirit comes, the believers don't scatter and try
• 1:49
  to do faith alone. Acts chapter 2, verse 42 says
• 1:54
  they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching, to
• 1:57
  fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
• 2:01
  They built their lives around God's Word, shared life
• 2:04
  together, worshiped together, and prayed together.
• 2:07
  That rhythm created strength. That community created
• 2:10
  stability. This matters for us today
• 2:13
  because isolation and shortcuts are still tempting.
• 2:16
  We're told to hustle harder, chase more, do it alone, and
• 2:20
  prove ourselves. But God invites us to something
• 2:22
  better. Real security grows when you
• 2:26
  choose what lasts. Keep God at the center of your
• 2:28
  daily life and surround yourself with people who help you walk
• 2:32
  closer to Him. When God is in front of you, you
• 2:35
  don't have to be ruled by fear. When your life is rooted in
• 2:38
  truth, you don't crumble when opinions change.
• 2:42
  When you walk with God's people, you don't have to carry
• 2:44
  everything by yourself. That's a secure place to stand.
• 2:48
  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:52
  being my steady foundation when everything else feels uncertain.
• 2:55
  Help me to stop chasing things that don't last and to choose
• 2:59
  righteousness that brings real life.
• 3:02
  Teach me to set You before me every day in my choices, my
• 3:05
  thoughts and my habits. Surround me with people who
• 3:08
  encourage my faith and draw me closer to You.
• 3:12
  I want to stand firm, not because life is easy, but
• 3:14
  because you are with me in Jesus name, Amen.

  Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done

  through the apostles. All who believed were together

  and had all things in common. They sold their possessions and

  goods and distributed them to all according as anyone had

  need. Day by day, continuing

  steadfastly with 1 accord in the temple and breaking bread at

  home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of
• 10:47
  heart, praising God and having favor with all the people the
• 10:51
  Lord added to the assembly day by day, those who are being
• 10:54
