Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville jackwars fans welcome in to do vault daily presented by jing jack.com and fueled by brass tax coffee.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: It is Wednesday, September 16th.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: We are headed into a week two of the 2026 NFL season.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Your jackwars are 1 and 0, 34 to 10 victory over the Browns that could have probably been 50 to 3 if they wanted it to be.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: And they're in a very, very good spot.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: Your Jacksonville jackwars.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: They do head out to Denver to play a team that is coming off of a
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: disappointing to say the least loss to the chiefs, the way they performed in that game was pretty abysmal on both sides of the ball.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: And so obviously that's going to be a big test and we're going to be talking a lot about that game over the next several days getting into the nitty-gritty of the matchup and all that.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: But, um,
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, I just, I was surveying NFL power rankings heading into week two, and the NFL world is still sleeping on your Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's insane.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to talk about that.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate you being here.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: And also check out jenjag.com.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Pick up some new dooval gear.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: You can also hit that hype button.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: So surveying, I did five of the biggest websites.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and so we have Sports Illustrated.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: We have NFL.com.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: We have the athletic.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: We have Yahoo.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: And we have ESPN.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: And so we're just going to go through these, um, and talk about each of them.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'll give some more thoughts on it and kind of where I would rank them at this point in the power rankings.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so the Jag wars on Sports Illustrated, Connor
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, at nine, overall, the Jacksonville Jaguars, I think we're probably still underestimating how violent efficient and nasty this Jaguars team can get.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: And Oprah Americans, the Cleveland Brown, is always good for the soul.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: But I'd venture to guess that Nishon Watson would not have looked that bad against a middle tier opponent.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, having them at nine, though, I think you're admitting in your blurb that you're probably still underwriting them and undervaluing them.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe you shouldn't be doing that in my opinion.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think nine, as much as, like, Jags fans over the course of the last several years would be excited to be in the top 10.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that this is a team that should rank nine overall in the NFL's power rankings.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: They are not the ninth best team in football.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: They have one nine straight regular season games by an average score of 33.6 to 14.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: And that's including again some good teams.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's a bit absurd to still have them at nine.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not even close to the worst ranking.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: I do want to give NFL.com's Nick shook some credit who does their power rankings over there.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: He has the Jaguar's at five, and I personally still think that that's a little bit low.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna talk about that.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: But having them at five, that is the highest ranking the Jaguar's have here, this week that I was able to find around the web.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess there's a couple other big publications like CBS Sports that might do one in Fox Sports, but these are the five biggest ones that I look at pretty regularly.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: But Nick shook out the Jaguar as being in 2026 as if they had never taken an 8 month break between games that counted.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville jumped all over the Browns early and didn't relent until it was clear that there was nothing left to prove, lighting up Cleveland's defense and suffocating the Browns' low-powered offense.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence Parker Washington, Jacobi Myers and Company took care of business emphatically and set a standard for the rest of the AFC South to Chase, has them at five overall behind the bingles, the Ravens, and the Bills, and the Seahawks.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, that's interesting to have them behind the bingles certainly, and I think obviously putting them at five is showing them a great deal of respect, but I still personally think it's a little bit low, I do.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then we get into some of the really egregious stuff here, the athletic, which is a New York Times website, as the Jaguar is at 13th in their power rankings.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: Did we really learn anything about the Jaguars by watching them beat a hapless brown steam?
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Still, props to them for jumping out to the 31-nothing lead and putting it on cruise control buying a great game from Trevor Lawrence and impressive showing for their defense.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now the schedule turns brutal with five straight games against teams with Super Bowl hopes.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: 13th.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, who are you behind when you put them at 13th?
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: 12th is the Broncos, which we'll talk about that 11 is the Eagles.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: 10 is the Patriots.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: Nine is the Texans.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: eight is the lions, seven is the chiefs, six rams, five ravens, four bears.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know how on earth you could have the bears that much higher than the Jaguars.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: That is ludicrous to me.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: Buffalo Bills at three, Seahawks at two, 49ers at one.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: 13 is literally insane.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: A team that is one nine straight regular
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: margin and a team that is just looks like one of the most complete them football looks like one of the best coach them football looks like you know quarterback playing elite ball great receivers offensive line getting the job done and it's not just against the Browns that's the thing right now from this year's sample size all we have is the Browns and so you can say that but I think to not take into context what they were at the end of last year and rolling into this year
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: is folly.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yahoo has them at six, which is pretty good.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's still not where they should be ranked in my opinion, but six is pretty good.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: And Yahoo writes, the Jaguars were fantastic last season.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing fluky about their season.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: Then they looked dominant in week one.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: They led 31 nothing early in
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: the third quarter and if they wanted to run it up the final score could have easily been really ugly for Cleveland.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville is one of the teams in the NFL in the top six of EPA, per play, and EPA allowed per play through Sunday's week one games.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Baltimore was the other.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars deserve respect.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so at six they're buying the 49ers, the Rams, the Ravens, the Seahawks, and the Bills.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: So like this is like this range is where I would honestly
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: but the fact that you have ranking of nine, a ranking of 13 at the athletic.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: And on ESPN, a ranking of 13 is unbelievable to me.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: And it just, again, the NFL world is still sleeping on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what D-rock, Mike Duraco, had to say about the Jaguars and his blurb.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: So the blurbs on ESPN are kind of weird.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: They are supposed to highlight a specific aspect of the team.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: And for ESPN, it was the non-corderback newcomer debut.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Pregnant allowed only one quarterback pressure talking about a manual pregnant on here on 25 past box snaps in week one.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: That 4% pressure rate was tied with left tackle anton here it's over the best of any Jaguar offensive lineman.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Pregnant on a third round pick out of Oregon didn't move into the starting line until the second half of training camp.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: He was impressive enough that the Jaguar has moved starting left guard as a Cleveland to right guard just to get Pregnant on the field.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Pregnant was great and it's not
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm not at all blaming D-rock for this, but like, the Jaguar's at 13er behind the Lions, Texans, Patriots, Broncos, Chiefs, Bears, Eagles, 49ers, Rams, Ravens, Seahawks and Bills.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's a grieges to have them that low.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: It is absolutely a grieges.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: And it's good, you know, Liam Cohen can and will use that to his advantage to motivate his team.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so the Jagbore is based on those five websites have an average ranking of 9.2.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Again, a team that has at worst a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Being that low, a team that has one nine straight regular, season games again by the score of 33.6 to 14 on average.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's completely agree just to me.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: So, we're gonna get into like kind of where I would put the Jaguars here, and we did my FC power rankings yesterday so you can kind of lean some from that, but before we get to that, the Jaguars, they are still two and a half point road underdogs against the Broncos this week.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know I like that one.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos and the Jaguars, they are part of that statistic we talked about, the nine straight regular season games by an average of 33.6 to 14.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars beat them 34 to 20, and the Jaguars look like a more complete team with a better offensive play collar and quarterback duo by a wide margin than the Broncos.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: So of course I like that over at my bookie.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: Of course I like that.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: My bookie's website is easy to use on desktop or mobile.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: They reward you for your action with weekly cash back and bet and get offers.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: How about the Jaguars 2 at over under 9.5 wins?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: Smashing the over on that for me.

- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Where do I have the jackwards ring?
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: So one thing I want to clear up about my power rankings yesterday for the F.C.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: which I just think is more pertinent because like to get to the Super Bowl you're going through the F.C.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then once you get there, you can evaluate that matchup, right?
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: But I put them out too behind the bills yesterday.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguars do what they should do against the Broncos, they will be at one for me.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: But the fact of the matter is the Jaguars played the Browns in week 1.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: The Bills played the Texans in Houston and beat them.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm giving them the advantage there a little bit.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: You also have the fact that the Bills beat the Jaguars in the playoffs.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think both teams are better than they were last year.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: But I have the bills at one right now, the Jaguars at two.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguars beat the Broncos, I will put them at one.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they will beat the Broncos.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna put them out at one if that ends up happening.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I do have the Jaguars winning the Super Bowl.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they're the most complete team in the NFL.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the time is now.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, when you're picking a team to win the Super Bowl, you would bet the field against a specific team.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're making predictions, you have to pick a team.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: And my team I'm picking is the Jag Course.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: A million different things can happen this season.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know all the different bumps, bruises, twists, and turns that an NFL season will bring, right?
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: So keep that in mind.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: But if I'm picking a team to win this Super Bowl, I'm picking the Jag Course.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I still have them at two in the AFC just because the resume, right, again, the bill's beating the Jaguars in the playoffs and the bills having a, I think, more impressive win in week one than the Jaguars did.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: But if I'm ranking the entire NFL, there's one team, maybe two teams that I think you could argue over the Jaguars right now.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: strongly feel that way.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think the bills, as I mentioned, for the reasons I mentioned, and, you know, the Josh Allen of it all, he's incredible.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then the 49ers were incredibly impressive, and they have been incredibly impressive for most of Kyle Shanahan's time.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: They're obviously they've had some down years, but they looked really, really good against the Rams and Kyle Shanahan has had the Rams numbers for the most part.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: or number, sonic vase number when they've gone head to head, but I wouldn't put the 49ers in front of them because it still feels fragile.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: It still feels very fragile for me for the 49ers.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: Just age, injury, all that stuff.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, the 49ers were excellent.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: I would put
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the ram's still at five.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: The bears I would have up there too, actually.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think the bears, I picked the jackwares to beat the bears in the Super Bowl.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I know that their defense was just atrocious, but there are offense.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how many teams, even in a shoot out, are gonna be able to beat them regularly.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: How are you gonna be able to keep up with that offense?
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: Would Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams cooking and all those receivers that they have?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: in a strong running game, too.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, my top five would be bills, jag wars, ravens, 49ers, and bears.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I would be at right now.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I know I liked the Patriots coming into the season, but the way you look in that game combined with the fact that AJ Brown is now missing a big chunk of the year, that is problematic.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: And the fact that you cannot beat good teams, that is problematic if you're the New England Patriots.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: The Denver Broncos, I think, have a lot to prove right now, and the fact of the matter is Denver does not have the level of quarterback play and offensive play calling right now with Davis web.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: That matches up with the rest of the teams on that list in my opinion.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: They don't.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: But Nick's is just, he's not the guy compared to a Josh Allen, a Trevor Lawrence, a Lamar Jackson, a Caleb Williams, even it, I mean, Brock Perty is a damn good quarterback now, y'all.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: He is a really, really good quarterback.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: So that's how I would have it tiered out or ranked at the top five in the NFL.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to go through the entire rankings here that I would put together for the entire NFL.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: But that's how I would have it looking right now.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: And things can change, week one can lie to you.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: But what is not a lie is the fact that the Jag Wars over the last 10 months?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Jag Wars have not lost a regular season game since November 9th of 2025.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: And in almost all those games, they have just punched their opponent in the mouth, not let off the break and cruise to victory.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they are,
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: going to prove to be the best team in the NFL.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm waiting one more week before I put them out one if they go beat the Broncos the way they should.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: And Nick, they should beat the Broncos.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: Davis Webb had a very problematic first game as a play caller.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: Bonex did not look good.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: Um, their defense did not look like they could stop the run against Kenneth Walker and I've got some things to say about racial tuton being a similar player to Kenneth Walker, okay?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know that might sound like a hot take, but...
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna get into that stuff later on, but I do really appreciate y'all turning in.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: We will have club Jaguar tonight at, what time is it?
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: A30PM.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be on my channel and you see of Jaguar channel myself, Jason from Jaguar as United, Dalton, you see of Jaguar.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be chopping it up about all things.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar is really appreciate y'all turning in supporting the channel.
