- 1:18out go on Instagram. What is her Instagram feed?
- 1:20I I I don't know what it. Is under score sports page.
- 1:23Oh, there you go. Is she following us?
- 1:25She followed the network account, I don't know about
- 1:27yours. I think she followed your
- 1:28Twitter though. Did she Oh, that was she's a

- 1:39football. So how could you beat that?
- 1:41A woman who's beautiful and knows football, that is the
- 1:44perfect woman, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:46So if she's single, I don't think she is.
- 1:48But if she is single, men, well, she's not.
- 1:51So you lost that. Everybody's lost that she's not
- 1:54a freedom, she's not free. Ah, it's it's not dangerous.

- 2:14righty, all righty. Oh.
- 2:19Righty then. Oh my God.
- 2:23Woo. Can't wait.
- 2:29I think Fish is like muted over there.
- 2:31I think he's. Muted all righty then it is
- 2:35can't wait areas drop. I love that drop the can't wait
- 2:38drop It's for you Q. This makes my pecker hard.
- 2:40Yeah, I hate it. He does it.
- 2:43He did it on purpose. He definitely did that on
- 2:45purpose and we're doing this one another toe job.
- 2:48Errol, if you haven't seen all righty, then this is our
- 2:51literary segment. If you don't know, go to our
- 2:53website, worldwidesportsradio.com.
- 2:56I'm going to add it to this to the board right now because
- 2:58we're going to take a look at one of Errol's fantastic
- 3:01articles that you can read on the website, as well as some of
- 3:03our other sports writers brought to you by NR Media himself,
- 3:07Nithin Ramachandra in like you can always reach out to at NR
- 3:12Media, like I always gave all right, booty.
- 3:16Well, not talking about that guy.
- 3:17We're talking about basketball Hall of Fame in this article.
- 3:21Errol, the Hall of Fame or the Hall of Hey, I remember that
- 3:25guy. We've got some comments in
- 3:27Reddit after this article that Speedy is going to read.
- 3:30If you want to have your comments read on Errol's
- 3:32articles, please go to our Reddit feed, go look up our show
- 3:36on there and you can comment on Twitter, comment on TikTok,
- 3:40Instagram or I don't know what that one was, Errol, but it's
- 3:45clapping. That was clapping, yeah.
- 3:48That was applause, yeah. OK.
- 3:50Just after the statement. Just like you have too many
- 3:56toys, you just have too many toys.
- 3:58Let's get into the article. I'm going to read a clip, bit of
- 4:00it and then we'll take a look at the comments.
- 4:02Here we are starting us off. There they are.
- 4:05The two guys made the Hall of Fame, Doc and Omare Stoudemire.
- 4:09At this point I'm convinced the Naismith Memorial.
- 4:12Basketball Hall of Fame has turned into the party.
- 4:14That party where someone says you're invited and you're
- 4:17invited. Actually, everybody come in.
- 4:20Because when I see names like Doc Rivers and Amar Stoudemire
- 4:23getting serious Hall of Fame talk, I start checking if I
- 4:26accidentally walked into the participation trophy museum.
- 4:29Don't get me wrong, I respect both guys, but Hall of Fame?
- 4:32That's supposed to be greatness. Not pretty good for a few years
- 4:35and we remember the vibes. Let's break this down.
- 4:38Errol Marx style. Funny, real, and slightly
- 4:41disrespectful with love. Doc Rivers.
- 4:43Hall of Fame for what exactly? Let's start with Doc.
- 4:46The man's treated like coaching royalty.
- 4:48You'd think he was the basketball version of Phil
- 4:50Jackson. Except Phil has eleven rings.
- 4:53Doc has one, and it came with his super team so stacked it
- 4:57looked like an All Star game. We're talking Kevin Garnett,
- 4:59Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo.
- 5:02That wasn't coaching. That was rolling the ball out
- 5:04and saying, all right, guys, don't fight.
- 5:07Scrolling down, we get to Amari Stoudemire, Knicks Savior Hall
- 5:12of Fame. Not so fast.
- 5:13Now this one hurts, because I love Amari.
- 5:15Knicks fans love Amari. When Amari Stoudemire came to
- 5:18New York, he made the Knicks relevant again.
- 5:20He made stars want to come back. He gave us hope.
- 5:23He also gave us knees made of expired rubber bands.
- 5:27But Hall of Fame? Let's compare Hall of Fame power
- 5:30forwards. Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Dirk
- 5:32Nowitzki, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley.
- 5:34These guys. MVPS, rings for most of them.
- 5:38Longevity, dominance, error, defining greatness.
- 5:41Amari's resume, Great peak, unreal.
- 5:45Pick and roll with Steve Nash. Explosive scoring, short prime
- 5:49injuries. No MVP, No ring, no sustained
- 5:52dominance. Amari was unstoppable for a
- 5:56stretch, but Hall of Fame is about unstoppable careers.
- 6:00Amari burned bright, but it wasn't long enough.
- 6:02He's Hall of very good, Hall of Nick Savior.
- 6:05Hall of Man, he was different. Speedy All right, we'll start
- 6:10with this one ephemeral 2316. He had 1/2 of a good season of
- 6:14one good season with the next. When the mellow trade went
- 6:16through, it was over. He was saying he didn't didn't
- 6:18get along. That was a longer expanded
- 6:20comment, but he thought he was a Hall of Famer for what he did
- 6:23with the Suns. No way.
- 6:24He didn't win anything with the Suns.
- 6:26Did he win a championship with the Suns?
- 6:28No, he failed to win as a as a champion over there.
- 6:31Now he was a great basketball player.
- 6:33He averaged almost 20 something, 22 points, 23 points a game.
- 6:36When I look at MVPIII, look at MVPSI look at championships, I
- 6:41look at his background, I look at his success.
- 6:43What was he successful doing? He didn't do anything.
- 6:46He was a what was he first team NBA player once or twice in his
- 6:50career. That's not enough.
- 6:51You have to have 10 good years as an NBA player, as far as I'm
- 6:55concerned, to be considered a Hall of Famer.
- 6:58I think there's too many Hall of Famers that are in the NBA Hall
- 7:02of Fame that shouldn't be there. All right, let's go to this one.
- 7:06The Omega Christ 5 All NBA selection, six time All Star and
- 7:09part of an NBA changing offense. I guess referring to D'Antoni
- 7:12with the pick and roll. I think the Hall of Fame should
- 7:14be telling the story about the NBA and not leaving out their
- 7:16most important players. Really.
- 7:18So let's go. Let's go into it.
- 7:21D'Antoni. Now.
- 7:22He is one of the most overrated head coaches in NBA history
- 7:25offensively. What he did for Phoenix and how
- 7:27about coming to the New York Knicks and failing to do what
- 7:31every Knick fan wanted him to do, get into the playoffs and
- 7:33make runs, which he couldn't do? D'Antoni was horrible.
- 7:37He's just an offensive guy, never played defense and he
- 7:39taught Amari Stoudemire not to play defense.
- 7:43As far as I'm concerned, I don't care how many All Star games he
- 7:45was in, Everybody gets to an All Star game.
- 7:48How many players that shouldn't have been in All Star games
- 7:50because players just drop out and don't want to be there?
- 7:52How many guys that have been voted into the All Star game
- 7:55that shouldn't be there? So I I disagree.
- 7:58I don't care how many All Star games and how many changing
- 8:00offense he's he's been a part of.
- 8:02He never did anything as far as I'm concerned, in a significant
- 8:05amount of time where I would say he's a Hall of Famer.
- 8:07All right, we'll switch it up. We'll go with the Doc Rivers one
- 8:09this time. As much as you hate Doc Rivers
- 8:11for underachieving, this is raise a Tiger.
- 8:13He's more accomplished than 90% of coaches in NBA history.
- 8:16He was a perennial playoff coach that has won a ring with QS 2008
- 8:20Celtics. This right now, anybody would
- 8:22have won a ring with Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce
- 8:27and Kevin Garnett. And two of those guys, actually,
- 8:30three of those guys were in the primes of their career and one
- 8:33of them was a young, young offensive player that can
- 8:37rebound and do all the things that you wanted Rajon Rondo to
- 8:39do as a point guard. And, and, and to me, they should
- 8:42have won more championships. You know why they didn't win
- 8:44more championships? Because Doc Rivers was the head
- 8:47coach over there. It wasn't because of him, why
- 8:50they won those championships. It was because of the talent
- 8:53around him. That's it.
- 8:55Doc Rivers sucked. He wasn't a good basketball
- 8:58player. His son was a horrible
- 9:00basketball player. And who did he play for?
- 9:02Duke. He sucked with Duke and he
- 9:04sucked in the end BA. So that's all I'm going to say
- 9:07about. That there was part of that Duke
- 9:08team that lost to Lehigh 15. Exactly exactly.
- 9:12Okay, we'll go to the next one. This one actually agrees with
- 9:14you. This is M ZX380 referring to
- 9:17Stoudemire. Good.
- 9:17Not great. Not even a top ten nick of all
- 9:19time. I wouldn't.
- 9:20I don't know if he would be a top ten Nick.
- 9:23He's close, He's close. I look at the past.
- 9:26I wasn't alive to see those Nick teams with Willis Reed and and
- 9:31Wall Clive Fraser. But I don't think he's better
- 9:33than Willis Reed. I don't think he's better than
- 9:34Wall Clive Fraser. I don't think he's better than
- 9:37Wall Clive Fraser. I don't think he's better than
- 9:38Patrick Ewing. But top ten, as far as talent is
- 9:40concerned, the two years that he played out, 1 1/2 years, he
- 9:43played a high level. I, I, I don't know, because
- 9:46there's not many great players for the New York Knicks.
- 9:48They never won a lot of championships.
- 9:50I think they want 2. And this is a team that's been
- 9:53around for a long time. So I think you're right.
- 9:55He's probably not a top ten, but he's definitely a top 15 New
- 9:58York Knick of all time. But yeah, I agree with you.
- 10:01He's not a Hall of Fame. All right, we'll finish it up
- 10:03with the comments of Rabbo and what you've said about the
- 10:04Basketball Hall of Fame for a while, Doc, for sure.
- 10:07But now for STAT, I've been saying they got to tear the Hall
- 10:09of Fame down and start from scratch with a stiffer committee
- 10:11or create a just individual NBA Hall of Fame.
- 10:14Everywhere Doc has gone after winning a championship with the
- 10:17Celtics, he's taking them down. Look at the Clippers, look at
- 10:20the 76ers, look at the Milwaukee Bucks.
- 10:23He's done nothing and he's coached great players.
- 10:26Joel Embiid, pretty good player. He's Maxi.
- 10:30He's coached great players and and they failed to play well
- 10:34under him. Milwaukee, he had Giannis, he
- 10:37had Middleton, he had all those guys and Middleton was at the
- 10:40tail end, but that wasn't really a good team.
- 10:42But Giannis is one of the great players in the league.
- 10:44He went over there, he took over for a coach that was winning.
- 10:47He goes over there and just continues to lose.
- 10:49And as far as the the LA Clippers, Lob City, that team
- 10:54should have won at least one championship because of this
- 10:57failure of a head coach is why they never won.
- 11:00He's a horrible coach. He should not be in the Hall of
- 11:03Fame. I don't care how many wins it's
- 11:05over exaggerated for all the talented players he's coached in
- 11:08the past. He should have more than one
- 11:10championship, should won a three with the with that Celtic team,
- 11:13but he didn't because he's a failure.
- 11:17So there you go. All righty then.
- 11:20Man, what a show. What a show.
- 11:23What are you shaking your head for?
- 11:25I know. You're I had to, I was
- 11:26suffering. Let's hear it.
- 11:29Let's hear. It, but let's hear it was.
- 11:32Just let's hear it quickly. Why do you think Doc Rivers is a
- 11:35Hall of Famer? Why not?
- 11:37I mean, well, first of all, he'd be Kobe and LeBron in that
- 11:39series in no way. But you wouldn't tell me that
- 11:41that Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett was better than
- 11:46the top 2-3 or the top three ever basketball players ever
- 11:51play the game. What are you talking about?
- 11:53What do you mean Kobe and and LeBron could you are could be
- 11:56arguably the top three correct? OK.
- 11:58All right, so he the 2008 Celtics went through Kobe and
- 12:03the Lakers to win the championship and they went
- 12:05through Cleveland and like the second round to go in the
- 12:09playoffs and they beat Cleveland and LeBron James, correct?
- 12:12Cleveland. You're telling me Cleveland
- 12:13sucked? No, no, no, no.
- 12:14Cleveland sucked. That team sucked.
- 12:16They went to the finals the year before.
- 12:18Yeah, they got lucky to go to. Finals.
- 12:21They were lucky. They got swept, they got swept,
- 12:25they got swept. Their second best player was
- 12:27Larry Hughes. Please.
- 12:28They made it. Please, regardless of how you
- 12:30feel personally, stop. Get into a championship.
- 12:34And LeBron wasn't at A at a top level at that time, so stop.
- 12:38He was in his prime. What he did.
- 12:39Is that playing at a top level? No, he.
- 12:41Wasn't he? Wasn't.
- 12:42How come he wasn't? He was the goal from the finals
- 12:44and they come back to the next year and lose he was.
- 12:46He was like 23 years old, dude. He was prime.
- 12:49That's prime. That's not prime.
- 12:50Prime is 26 and above. When he went to, when he went to
- 12:54Miami, he was in in his prime. LeBron.
- 12:57When LeBron went to Miami, he was in his prime.
- 13:00Was he out of high school? Yeah, he came out of high
- 13:02school. He wasn't doing the Easter
- 13:05conference was so bad the year before and that's why they went
- 13:08to the finals. Please that team.
- 13:10Sucked the whole NBA was just horrible that they just went to
- 13:13the finals with no that. Team sucked.
- 13:15No other star player. That team sucked.
- 13:19Yeah, but anyway, he he he got 1 championship and I don't
- 13:22understand why that's not enough.
- 13:24That's not enough. I don't understand why he got to
- 13:25have 11 Whitfield and just to be compared to but the man
- 13:29deserving, very well deserving. He took AO 18.
- 13:32It doesn't belong in the championship and got him there.
- 13:35He coached it all the way through and that was it.
- 13:37I don't I think he has struggles within his coaching career.
- 13:40But you don't just be top ten and winning by luck.
- 13:44I know you give a luck a lot of credit tonight, but it's not
- 13:47reality. OK, now, speedy.
- 13:51Who won the Champions? Who was the head coach for the
- 13:53Nuggets when they won the championship?
- 13:54Mike Malone. Mike Malone?
- 13:56Is Mike Malone a Hall of Famer? No, I'm OK.
- 13:58I rest my case. Why not?
- 14:01What do you mean why not? Mike Malone is not a Hall of
- 14:03Famer. He's not.
- 14:05I mean he got fired but so he can just continue.
- 14:07So did Doc Rivers 3 or 4 times so.
- 14:09Yeah, but Doc Rivers is still in the league.
- 14:11Mike Malone is at Carolina is a whole different.
- 14:13Word. Mike Malone, first of all, was
- 14:15going to get another coach job, he was going to get another
- 14:18coaching job, and now he's going to go and win national
- 14:20championships with North Carolina.
- 14:21Absolutely. OK, so there you go.
- 14:23Mike Malone will take down John Shire where they meet in the
- 14:26tournaments. All right, Adam Schefner reports
- 14:29that Dexter Lawrence has officially requested a trade
- 14:31from the New York Giants. He adds Lawrence won't
- 14:35participate in team workouts, programs that begin tomorrow and
- 14:40won't participate in any workouts after the draft.
- 14:43Reports say that the Giants have been trying to give Lawrence an
- 14:47extension for the last two years after giving him a new deal in
- 14:512023. Reports say that the Giants want
- 14:54at least a late first round or early second round pick if they
- 14:58trade Lawrence before the draft. Lawrence has two more years left
- 15:02on his current contract with cap hits of 26.9 million and 26.4
- 15:09million. After three straight pro ball
- 15:11seasons from 2022 to 2024, Lawrence had just 31 tackles and
- 15:180.5 sacks while battling multiple injuries last season.
- 15:22I think Dexter Lawrence still is can play at a high level.
- 15:25I love Dexter Lawrence, he's by far their best defensive player.
- 15:28Everybody likes Burns and says well look what Burns did.
- 15:31Without Dexter Lawrence, Burns wouldn't be the same player he
- 15:34was this year. I'm sorry because Dexter
- 15:37Lawrence is always getting double and triple teamed.
- 15:39Now was he the same Dexter Lawrence?
- 15:41No, I think he he was fighting injury all season long.
- 15:44The Giants pissing this guy off just comes back to what they did
- 15:48with Saquon Barkley. It's the same thing.
- 15:51Joe Shane can't handle superstars.
- 15:55He can't. He cannot control what is going
- 15:58on, on and off the field, and then he goes out there and he
- 16:01throws these guys under the bus and makes them look like they're
- 16:04not worth anything after the fact.
- 16:06Dexter Lawrence to me, as far as defensive lineman, has been at
- 16:11his position, top two, top three for the last four years.
- 16:17He is that dominant. He can cause so many mismatches,
- 16:21triple teams, double teams. This guy is so elite right now
- 16:26and still elite. He's what, 2627 years old?
- 16:29He's still fairly young. He could still play at a high
- 16:31level. It's just injuries and, and now
- 16:34the Giants are saying, well, we want a, a late 1st, early 2nd.
- 16:38You're not in the driver's seat anymore because he already came
- 16:41out and said that he doesn't want to play for you.
- 16:43And now you're, you're, you've pissed him off enough that he
- 16:47wants, he's demanded a trade. No team is going to offer you a
- 16:50late first round draft pick. You might, might get a second
- 16:54round draft pick. I don't know if you even get
- 16:56that. Look at Breece Hall.
- 16:59Breece Hall, who's one of the best running backs in the NFL
- 17:02right now. Yes, The Jets wanted a third
- 17:05round draft pick from Kansas City.
- 17:07If they were going to trade him at the trade deadline, they
- 17:09weren't going to get it. They didn't trade him.
- 17:12So what did The Jets do? They franchised him this
- 17:14offseason either. They move them at the trade, I
- 17:17mean during the draft and try to get the third round draft pick
- 17:20that they're requesting for or the hold on to him and franchise
- 17:24him again or move him in the middle of a season when they can
- 17:28get what they want for him, especially if he has a good
- 17:31season. Dexter Lawrence is in the
- 17:33driver's seat right now. He is.
- 17:36And for the Giants to piss off arguably their best player, and
- 17:39I say he's their best player because I believe it, Who's been
- 17:43better than Dexter Lawrence over the last couple of years on this
- 17:45Giants team? And what Burns did last year, it
- 17:48was great. He was sensational.
- 17:50He really was. But let's see what Burns does
- 17:53this year without Dexter Lawrence.
- 17:55Let's see what he does. Because we all know what
- 17:58happened with an old New York Giants defensive lineman in the
- 18:02media. We know what happened and we
- 18:05understand the situation for what it was.
- 18:07But we also know who Dexter Lawrence is and what Dexter
- 18:12Lawrence stands for. He goes to all these autograph
- 18:16signings, he goes to all these memorabilia things and and giant
- 18:20program. He works very well with the
- 18:21community. He's he's a good man.
- 18:25Yeah. I've never heard any bad things
- 18:26about Dexter Lawrence personally.
- 18:29But I've also heard what Joe Shane's done over the last
- 18:32couple of years and, and even with Dabel, the way he handled
- 18:37Brian Dabel when he fired Brian Dabel the way he did this past
- 18:41season was unprofessional. Joe Shane is on the hot seat.
- 18:45There is no way John Mayra keeps him if this team starts the
- 18:51season very, very slow. Everybody thinks John Harbaugh
- 18:55is going to be the savior. Really, what does he have going
- 18:58into a new season? He has a Jackson Dart who still
- 19:02has a little bit more time to develop.
- 19:05He doesn't know who their secondary wide receiver is
- 19:08because they lost Robinson in free agency.
- 19:09He goes to Tennessee. So what?
- 19:12What are they going to? Where are they going with that?
- 19:14That second one receipt. Oh, I'm sorry.
- 19:16They brought a kid from what? What's the kid from Atlanta?
- 19:18Who was the kid? Darnell Mooney.
- 19:20Darnell Mooney is better than Robertson.
- 19:21Please. Giant fan stop.
- 19:24I I remember when who they tried to compare to Odell.
- 19:27Odell Beckham. Who was the guy named Slayton?
- 19:29Slayton who is no longer with the organization.
- 19:32Give me a break. Giant fan stop.
- 19:34Stop. The fact here is if they don't
- 19:37draft Tate in in the fifth round, the I mean 5th pick in
- 19:44the first round, the Giants are in a really bad situation
- 19:48because they don't have you don't know if neighbors going to
- 19:51come back 100% healthy. This is coming back from a tear
- 19:55and you know, when a wide receiver comes back and from a
- 19:58tear like that, when his game is all about speed, they're never
- 20:01the same. So I mean, was Odell Beckham the
- 20:05same when he came back from his ACL tear?
- 20:08Speedy yes or no? Absolutely not.
- 20:09He was not. He was not.
- 20:11And neighbors are still young and we've seen Peterson do it,
- 20:16but Peterson is a different beast.
- 20:18I mean, Adrian Peterson's one of the greatest, one of the, the
- 20:22most elite running backs we've ever seen come out of the of a
- 20:25draft and, and go to the NFL. We we all know what Adrian
- 20:28Peterson stood for when he came out of the draft.
- 20:31I don't know what neighbors is. And now the Giants are going to
- 20:34question if neighbors can be that elite player.
- 20:36So now you have an angry defensive lineman, Indexter
- 20:40Lawrence, who's an elite player who you're demanding a late
- 20:43first round and second round draft pick, but you're not in
- 20:45the driver's seat because he's in a driver's seat because he's
- 20:48already said that he's not participating in offseason, you
- 20:51know, workouts. He's not doing it.
- 20:53And now you have a new coach and John Harbaugh that's already
- 20:58dealing with things that are going on with this team in this
- 21:02organization that he cannot control.
- 21:04These are not his players. This is a new organization he's
- 21:08working for. This isn't the Baltimore Ravens.
- 21:10He doesn't know how to commit to certain players because he's
- 21:14still learning about these players.
- 21:16But we all know that Dexter Lawrence don't like Joe Shane.
- 21:21So if I was the organization, if I was the Giants right now, I'd
- 21:24fire Joe Shane today, I'd fire him.
- 21:27You want to make your superstar player happy, get rid of the guy
- 21:31that's been a cancer to that organization.
- 21:34He he's just a really and ever I, I fish.
- 21:38I know all about the new contracts.
- 21:39You can keep keep that you're a giant fan and you're going to
- 21:41sit there and make all the excuses about the Giants and you
- 21:44can pop in and say whatever you want.
- 21:46The fact here is the New York Giants are a laughing stock.
- 21:50They're a laughing stock because they have this man who they
- 21:53brought from the Buffaloes, the Buffalo Bills, who has no
- 21:56control over personalities. In that locker room, Saquon
- 22:00Barkley told the Giants he wanted to be a Giant for life
- 22:04and he couldn't find a way to give him a negotiating contract.
- 22:07And where did he go? He goes to the team that Mara
- 22:09did not want him to go to. He he's he almost breaks Eric
- 22:13Dickerson's record. He could have, but he decided,
- 22:15hey, you know what? I want to win a championship.
- 22:17I want to I want to produce in the playoffs.
- 22:19He did the right thing. And then he ran all over
- 22:22everybody in the playoffs and won a Super Bowl in New Orleans.
- 22:25I remember it. He was one of the main reasons
- 22:28why they, the Philadelphia Eagles won that championship.
- 22:30And it just seems like this man has weighed out his welcome.
- 22:35And, and to me, Dexter Lawrence absolutely stands for
- 22:37everything. The Giants are and what this
- 22:40team should be standing for and that's it.
- 22:43That's consistency, A superstar and a person that is playing not
- 22:49for himself but for the team. And now he's tired of the team
- 22:53and the organization because he can't stand the leader and the
- 22:56leadership there. I think get rid of Joe Shane and
- 22:59you're going to be in the driver's seat.
- 23:00Yep, they should have gotten rid of Shane last year and they
- 23:02didn't and. Get rid of them.
- 23:04Yeah, and now they've lingered it on too long because John
- 23:07Mayer and this ownership group and the other one that should
- 23:09not be named has a love fest for him for whatever reason.
- 23:13Like we said with the Rangers, with Chris Drury, it's
- 23:15irrational. It makes no sense.
- 23:17Yeah, he said some good day three 3 defensive draft picks,
- 23:20OK, big whoops. So you couldn't keep all of
- 23:22them. You're not drafting will it keep
- 23:24positions? And you're giving all these
- 23:25ridiculous contracts, all these defensive backs, all these other
- 23:28things that happened last year that those players did not
- 23:31permit a good defense. The offensive line was better.
- 23:33I guess there's no reason for him to keep him.
- 23:35And now you're going to keep make your best player frustrated
- 23:37coming off his worst season in a while that you're going to or
- 23:42you're going to get have to force a bidding war to get some
- 23:44kind of trade value out of like 2 weeks before the draft.
- 23:47Like if this happened early in the offseason, you had time to
- 23:50plan for it. Yeah, maybe you're going to get
- 23:51that kind of value now before in the draft, you're going to hope
- 23:53that some team is desperate enough to say we're going to
- 23:55trade for Dexter Lawrence after these guys have already been
- 23:58signed in the offseason. And like we were talking about
- 24:00Paige, there's a lot of good defensive tackle prospects in
- 24:02this draft that you might find a younger version, maybe not of
- 24:06him, but of somebody good. And that's the problem with the
- 24:10Giants. Don't have a plan.
- 24:11We talked about it with these teams trying to scramble around
- 24:13and not have a consistent identity of what they were
- 24:16doing. We said that with the Mets, like
- 24:18they trade for Marcus Simeon and still want to go target Beau
- 24:21Bichette. And then all of a sudden you
- 24:22have an overload of infielders and no outfielders and no
- 24:25pitching. The Giants are doing the same
- 24:26thing with in this sense where you're fixing what you need on
- 24:30the defense and then you're already sending getting these
- 24:32other guys frustrated. And it's, it's happened way too
- 24:35many times for any ownership or any free agents to trust the
- 24:39ownership or the front office on this team.
- 24:41And Q, you've dealt with it as a player.
- 24:43I'm sure you had teammates dealt with it as a player.
- 24:44You don't want to deal with organizations like like that.
- 24:47They have no set plan and this is a team that made the playoffs
- 24:50in 2022 and have done all the wrong decisions since then.
- 24:53It's it's Joe Shane. Joe Shane is the cancer of this
- 24:56organization. They want to win now.
- 24:58They, they John Harbaugh's calling the shots.
- 25:00Everybody's saying John Harbaugh's calling the shots.
- 25:02OK, if he's calling the shots, get rid of Joe Shane.
- 25:05Do it now. Don't wait until next year.
- 25:08What would be the point of keeping this guy around?
- 25:11There's no reason why he's got his.
- 25:13He's got his guys picking and making the draft picks.
- 25:16John. John Horrible's going to get his
- 25:18pick, whoever he wants. If he wants Tate, Tate's going
- 25:21to be the 5th pick no matter what.
- 25:23So why is Joe Shane still there? Hire one of his executives to be
- 25:29the the assistant GM this year and then you go into the
- 25:32offseason and let John Harbold decide who he wants to work
- 25:35with. That's what Kyle Shanahan did
- 25:37with John Lynch and that's the way I go here.
- 25:39Joe Shane is a cancer to this organization.
- 25:42Look at has anybody watched the Saquon Barkley Prime
- 25:46documentary? Go and check it if you've never
- 25:49checked it out. If you're a Giant fan, you would
- 25:52be disgusted. You would be disgusted if you
- 25:55learned that Saquon Barkley told the Giants three years before he
- 26:00became a free agent. Then then supposedly Joe Shane
- 26:02offered him the money that he got from the Eagles a year
- 26:04before. OK, Well, then Joe Shane, at the
- 26:08tail end of that, he went, Saquon said, listen, I will take
- 26:12the same contract you offered me the year before.
- 26:15But then Joe Shane said, well, we have other parts of the team
- 26:18that we need to fill in and fix. Well, this guy is a game
- 26:22changing player. He changed your offense.
- 26:26If you have Saquon Barkley that year, the Giants make the play
- 26:31offs with neighbors with that team.
- 26:34They were they were born if they had Saquon Barkley, they make
- 26:37the play offs that I don't know if they win it probably don't.
- 26:40But we've seen Giants teams that shouldn't have won one.
- 26:43So anything's possible if that defense shows up and Dexter
- 26:46Lawrence is a game changing defensive lineman.
- 26:50These guys don't grow on trees. There was, this was the one
- 26:54thing Gettleman gave the New York Giants when they drafted
- 26:57him at 16. The three first round draft
- 26:58picks. This guy was an absolute stud
- 27:01from Clemson. And now you have this guy pissed
- 27:04off, he don't want to be there and he's demanding a trade and
- 27:07you can give him an extension, you can give him whatever you
- 27:09want. He doesn't want to be there
- 27:11anymore. You're going to have to move him
- 27:12now. And Joe Shane thinks, oh, I, I
- 27:14want to leave first round early, 2nd Rock.
- 27:16You're not going to get it. You're not going to get it
- 27:18because he is in the driver's seat now.
- 27:21He already told everybody he don't want to be there anymore,
- 27:24which tells you that if he's not going to show up and he's not
- 27:27going to be there, you got to move him because you're not.
- 27:30There's no reason for him to sit when you have to pay him $26.9
- 27:33million. He, Joe Shane needs to go.
- 27:36If Joe Shane goes, Dexter Lawrence resigns with them.
- 27:39And the Giants are set up very, very well next year with
- 27:42probably one of the best front sevens in all the football.
- 27:44Yeah. Because otherwise you're going
- 27:45to have to pay him a lot more than the market value.
- 27:46We were talking about it on the off air before.
- 27:48Like, is a defensive tackle ever going to make $30 million a year
- 27:51or like they might get to that point if Joe Shane doesn't go?
- 27:54And is Joe saying going to be smart enough to cave in?
- 27:56Well, he's not very smart anyway.
- 27:58Yeah, I think, you know, hold on as long as you can hold up, man.
- 28:01I think you do. Like you said, I do think he got
- 28:03the leverage. I think coming off that last
- 28:05season, even though it was battling injuries, they're going
- 28:08to use that against him. Harbaugh is known for picking D
- 28:11tacos around 2nd to 3rd. So that's something else that
- 28:13might be a little concerned in regards to how they do with him.
- 28:16I don't think that he definitely not going to get a first or a
- 28:19second winner, but they might get off of trade for 1/3 and
- 28:23quite frankly, I don't see him leaving, but I do, I do see this
- 28:27being an opportunity for them to get rid of him.
- 28:29Again, a new coaching style, new coach.
- 28:31It's going to be hard to keep guys in on your first year that
- 28:35comes out and say they don't want to be a Giant.
- 28:37So the fact that he's already made it clear they don't want to
- 28:39be a Giant, I think that they move off of them and deal with
- 28:43whatever come with it, pick a detox in the second or third
- 28:45round and move. Forward.
- 28:47I can't see it, man. There's they don't have to move
- 28:49them. They have they have him under
- 28:51contract for two years with no guaranteed money.
- 28:55That's why he want that's why this is happening.
- 28:57This is just an old fashioned contract holdout.
- 28:59He's not going nowhere. They need him for the middle of
- 29:02the defense. They have no replacement for
- 29:04him. They're not drafting one at 5 in
- 29:06the draft for a nose tackle, right?
- 29:09Why would they do that? They could draft Sonny Styles at
- 29:115:00 and have him be protected behind Dexter Lawrence, who eats
- 29:14up double teams at a higher rate than anyone in the league now.
- 29:17Last year he had half a sack and he wasn't getting off.
- 29:20He also was playing with a busted elbow is what they were
- 29:23saying. If he got it fixed, you got to
- 29:26you got to think of this as an opportunity to actually pay him
- 29:29less than market value. This guy was the best nose
- 29:32tackle in football 2 years in a row in 23 and 24.
- 29:36It wasn't close. Those years he had like more,
- 29:39more pressures as a one tech than anyone had as a three tech
- 29:43and Q that's that's not supposed to be possible.
- 29:45That isn't happening at all. Three Tech's supposed to be your
- 29:47best interior pass rusher, D Dean Lemon.
- 29:50So what is he asking for? Did anybody?
- 29:52Did they? Did they saying what he asked
- 29:53for? He's always said he wanted to
- 29:56get the respect. Again, this is a Joe Shane thing
- 29:58and I completely on board with you Errol, it's a Joe Shane
- 30:00thing. This is the same thing that
- 30:02happened with Saquon. He wants respect of being the
- 30:04best or one of the best at his position.
- 30:07He when he got the contract originally, he was made the top
- 30:10defensive tackle paid at his position.
- 30:12He is now 12th and he has no guaranteed money.
- 30:15The number one guy speedy is actually, I'm going by average
- 30:19across their contract length. Not exactly what they're making
- 30:21each year. Chris Jones average is 31.75
- 30:25million on his contract a year now.
- 30:26He had a fall off as well last year.
- 30:28That's a different story. Milton Williams is second.
- 30:32That's the most comparable player as far as a nose
- 30:34metabique. I see.
- 30:36And you know like Jeffrey Simmons is 8th.
- 30:39You'd only have to pay him $5,000,000 more to get this guy
- 30:42happier. Give him guaranteed money.
- 30:44You can even play with the cap and afford another player at a
- 30:48key position like wide receiver. One of these veterans swap a 7th
- 30:51for six. I mentioned Brandon Iuke last
- 30:53week. Doesn't have to be him.
- 30:54It could be another veteran out there if you're not going to get
- 30:57Carnell Tate or even if you do get him now you have a veteran
- 31:00to lead the way that you got for free because you renegotiated
- 31:04your star nose tackles contract, made his cap hit small and made
- 31:08him happy by giving him guaranteed money.
- 31:10It's a win win. But you're right, This is Joe
- 31:12Shane who's screwed this up so badly before he gave the Eagles
- 31:16a Super Bowl and Saquon. I'm very nervous.
- 31:19I'm going to tell you this for all you Giant fans.
- 31:21If Dexter Lawrence is complaining and he's bitching
- 31:24and moaning right now, it's not a good sign for the New York
- 31:26Giants. And if he's already telling them
- 31:28I want to be traded, Get Me Out of here, It only tells me that
- 31:32Joe Shane is going to do that. He's going to give him that
- 31:35opportunity to go and play somewhere else.
- 31:37And if you're a Giant fan, even though he had a bad season last
- 31:40year and he's still ranked 12th in all of the NFL with a bad
- 31:43season like that, think about this.
- 31:46He goes to another team and he just is the same player and he
- 31:50becomes that that elite top three player again at his
- 31:53position. Giant fans are going to throw up
- 31:55because I still think he's still fairly young.
- 31:58He still has the ability to be A at a top level.
- 32:00This isn't Chris Jones. Chris Jones is in his 30s.
- 32:03This guy is in his late 20s. He's 2627, still has a lot of
- 32:08football left and at a high level and he's still very fast
- 32:11off the ball. So I just think he was injured
- 32:14last year and I think the Giants are making a big mistake.
- 32:17That's all I'm going to say about that.
- 32:18All right, ladies and gentlemen, we call this.
- 32:19What's That smell? Hold up, what is that smell?
- 32:24What's right? Smell.
- 32:30Wow. You don't see that every day.
- 32:32All right, ladies and gentlemen, final segment of the night.
- 32:35It's very simple how we do this. We're going to tell you a story
- 32:39and we're going to tell you what it smells like tonight.
- 32:42We're going to go. Let's go with Speedy, let's go
- 32:47with poops. We'll go with fish, then we'll
- 32:51go with Q and then me. Here we go.
- 32:53All right, I'll start it off with a we're talking about an
- 32:56Islander coaches got hired and Peter Deborah, I'll go with the
- 32:58other one that just got hired. John Tortorella apparently
- 33:01decided already to make a bad impression of his first team by
- 33:04calling Senator Nick Dowd, their third line center, the wrong
- 33:08name. He was constantly calling him
- 33:10Joel Ward, who's been retired from the NHL for a while, who
- 33:13looks nothing like Nick Dowd and he's one of the assistant
- 33:16coaches on the team, but started calling him Joel, Joel Ward,
- 33:19Wardy and all these other nicknames.
- 33:21Meanwhile, Dowd has been in Washington for quite a while.
- 33:24Tortorello has coached against him and his other stops in
- 33:26Philadelphia and Vancouver. You would think you would be
- 33:29able to know a guy that's been, it's not like he's a rookie or
- 33:31anything like that. He's been a veteran guy in in
- 33:34the league for quite a while and he's decided to mix them up for
- 33:36a longer period than they should expect that what is their new
- 33:38checking line? So good job Tortorello.
- 33:41Maybe you shouldn't have returned to coaching if you're
- 33:42already forgetting guys name. So what does it smell like?
- 33:44It smells like Vegas fitness icons Tom Brady and Alex
- 33:48Guerrero getting in game worn, sweaty goalie pads and doing
- 33:53their Alex Guerrero workouts that got Max Crossley wanted to
- 33:56go betrayed him. Wow, your details are yours.
- 34:01Your smells are always very detailed, Speedy.
- 34:03I love it. All right, anyways, with me, I'm
- 34:06going over to some NFL on an ESPN, actually, because Dan
- 34:09Arlovski, former NFL quarterback for the Lions, yadda yadda.
- 34:12Many other teams as well. Daniel Olosky this morning on
- 34:15ESPN get up him being an analyst for the for ESPN said he was
- 34:21upset with Lamar Jackson because it was reported that he was
- 34:24going to be missing the team's first day of OTAs.
- 34:28Now the Ravens started their OTAs where he came out saying
- 34:30that he's a leader. He is coming off giving all this
- 34:33analysis about how he's coming off of a 13 game season.
- 34:37He didn't play his best. Football.
- 34:39He's also talking about how the Ravens also had their first
- 34:41losing record. Mind you saying all this about
- 34:44his OTAs? Mind you, Lamar Jackson was
- 34:46there for OTAs. I hope not.
- 34:49Less than 10 minutes later of him making this comment, the
- 34:52Ravens decided to post him walking into the building ready
- 34:55for OTAs as their leader. That didn't show up like Damian
- 34:59Woody even mentioned and Dan Arlovski now I like Dan.
- 35:03Dan's a cool guy. I see.
- 35:04I watched Dan, he's pretty entertaining.
- 35:05I like, I like him. I don't have the negative things
- 35:08to say about him, but you do have to.
- 35:09Be I don't know I. Don't know where this was
- 35:12reported. I mean, he probably screamed out
- 35:14with his daily life too, but hey, he's a good guy.
- 35:18Made a mistake and it looked really, really bad as ESPN and
- 35:21their Twitter had to delete it almost immediately.
- 35:23So what does it smell like? It smells.
- 35:25I don't know, it could smell like that.
- 35:26It might smell like the nearest glory hole, I don't know, we'll
- 35:28see. But it does smell like whatever
- 35:31crawled up his ass the day that he decided to step out of bed
- 35:33and give the Vikings a safety. So whatever crawled up his ass
- 35:38one that day is. What?
- 35:39It's going like I'm anal. Don't.
- 35:41We know it might smell like anal.
- 35:46He is good. Tommy.
- 35:48Tommy 34120 That's a drop that you have to cut for yourself.
- 35:52Now I've got a good one here, Errol.
- 35:56I was looking at fantasy. Now this kills me because I was
- 35:59high on this guy last year. I picked him up.
- 36:02I didn't keep him from my fantasy because I had Adley
- 36:05Ruchman, who I just had to get rid of, but Ben Rice, who has
- 36:08catcher eligibility in fantasy still.
- 36:11Finkle having his ironhorn. Well, maybe if you didn't think
- 36:15he was good, you would have thought it was a Finkle Ironhorn
- 36:18situation. But I got something to show you.
- 36:20These are his advanced statistics this year on on
- 36:24Baseball Savant, the best website to check out for fantasy
- 36:27sports and really baseball in general.
- 36:29If it's red, it's good and that's percentile in the league.
- 36:32That means he is a 99th percentile batter in baseball.
- 36:37He is the has the best expected weighted on base in all of
- 36:41baseball, 92nd percentile batting average.
- 36:44They expect them to hit 320 this year. 99% slugging.
- 36:48The hot. Hardest exit velocity in
- 36:52baseball at 97.6. He's been hitting the ball
- 36:57speedy again. It's a short sample size bag of
- 36:59Donuts over there. Hard hit percentage of 77.8 on
- 37:04this season. Breaking news.
- 37:06He does half of this Errol. He's an All Star.
- 37:09This guy might be have be the guy that is going to protect
- 37:12Judge going forwards. They may already have him and
- 37:16they don't need to do nothing about it, just put them higher
- 37:18up in the batting order. What does it smell like?
- 37:21Well, Uncle Ben over here, his rice.
- 37:24They said the smell of Uncle Ben's rice is mild or nutty, but
- 37:27many people. Speedy sleeps with endangered
- 37:30animals. God.
- 37:31A chemical or plastic scent? Microwave pouch odor?
- 37:35Burning plastic. It doesn't smell good.
- 37:38I'm going to assume it's the good smelling nutty rice.
- 37:41Make her squirt. Make me jerk.
- 37:44Then rice. That rice does smell like it has
- 37:48microplastics. Squeeze the cheese.
- 37:50It tastes like it as. Well, I will say this.
- 37:52If you look at the Yankees farm system, where everybody was
- 37:54ranking the Yankees farm system so bad, Rice is coming out of
- 37:58that, Schlittler's coming out of that.
- 37:59Spencer Jones is coming out of that.
- 38:01This kid Rodriguez, right? Elmer Rodriguez is coming out of
- 38:05it. All these guys, Warren Schmidt,
- 38:08it's pretty good. Their farm system's pretty good.
- 38:11They're turning into players. So I don't know.
- 38:14I think people, all the experts, are not experts as far as I'm
- 38:17concerned. Rodriguez by the way, Errol
- 38:19before you go Q, they call him ERC is Edward the Rodriguez
- 38:23Cruz. So you're going to start here in
- 38:24ERC a lot ERC for? That guy, Lulu athletes, that's.
- 38:31Really. All right, our lovely song team.
- 38:33We got a lot of breaking news today.
- 38:34We have Mike Malone get signed as the new UNC head basketball
- 38:39coach and yeah, so I'm going to start with that.
- 38:43So as much as a great hire, I think that was, I think he's a
- 38:46great guy. I think he fits the mold from
- 38:48our old school system guy that he is kind of piggyback all four
- 38:52wheels with Dave Smith being system guys as well.
- 38:55I believe that it also would not play out well.
- 38:59I think that as an old guy, I don't see how he can get the
- 39:03recruits. I think it's sort of like the
- 39:04Bill Belichick where it's the name, the star power, but
- 39:07doesn't translate into getting the necessary recruits that we
- 39:10need. We're good with getting like one
- 39:12top recruit. We have struggled with getting
- 39:15more than one over the past couple of years.
- 39:17So I think that we needed a younger coach that had a little
- 39:20more ambition that can relate to these new guys coming in.
- 39:23But to be honest, I'm looking at it and although you know, with
- 39:28Yukon and Michigan being a system teams and the older, you
- 39:31know, more older driven players on the team and whatnot, I think
- 39:35that dildo we we don't work with Carolina being that we haven't
- 39:39won in so long dildo. And so it's going to really make
- 39:42a impact on the on the team. And, and also we had two
- 39:45transfers. We had two guys transfer on the
- 39:47same day that he got hired. And although they don't really
- 39:49do a lot of production, the fact of the matter, they decided to
- 39:53enter the transfer reported the same day that you got hired lets
- 39:56me know that it's going to be a long road up here.
- 39:58And I don't think that we got the time.
- 39:59So I'm going to say this is not going to end well.
- 40:03This is another experiment and it smells like fools.
- 40:07Go. Duty Dodger.
- 40:11All right, ladies and gentlemen, it seems like Tiger Woods is on
- 40:14everybody's mind. Why?
- 40:17Because he's not going to be playing in the at the Masters.
- 40:19But all the mishap stuff that's happening off the golf course.
- 40:25Tiger Woods isn't competing in the 90th Masters at Augustus
- 40:30National Golf Club this week, but golfers in the field said
- 40:36they're pulling for the 15 time major champion after he he, you
- 40:42know, entered the treatment following his D we or DUI arrest
- 40:46in Florida on March 27th. Here, here's what Jason Day
- 40:50says. I lick, I look at it and go,
- 40:53he's just a human being like everyone else.
- 40:57And we have struggles. Really, we have struggles.
- 41:00Well, he had a lot of struggles the first time he crashed his
- 41:04car. He cheated on his wife how many
- 41:06times with porno stars and you know, all the nasty things he
- 41:10did after his two kids were born.
- 41:13His kid right now is one of the highest prestige young golfers
- 41:17right now in the amateur division going to play college
- 41:20golf right now. His daughter is is also doing
- 41:24some big things right now. So to me, it's all excuses.
- 41:28To this man, it's all excuses. These guys are friends of his
- 41:32and they're finding any way to to protect him.
- 41:36But here's the protection. He should have been protecting
- 41:38himself. He should have been going out
- 41:39there and being a professional, not throwing himself out there.
- 41:42If he knew he had drug problems, if he knew he had drinking
- 41:45problems, he should have went to get help.
- 41:47Instead, he crashes his car and almost kills somebody again, and
- 41:51now all of a sudden everybody's got problems.
- 41:54He had problems from the beginning.
- 41:55He should have cleaned that up the first time, not continuously
- 41:59keep doing what Tiger Woods does.
- 42:01And because he's Tiger Woods, he can get away with things because
- 42:04he's one of the greatest golfers of all time and he's a face of
- 42:07golf still to this day. He thinks he can get away with
- 42:10it. It's a big problem.
- 42:12You know what? It smells like manager.
- 42:14Yeah, You know what it you know what it smells like?
- 42:16It smells like he needs to get a new PR manager because his PR
- 42:20manager sucks. That's why Because any manager
- 42:24and any PR person would tell him that he obviously got problems.
- 42:29You need to go and get help and he needs, he should have been
- 42:31going to get help for the longest time.
- 42:33So that's my what's that's I don't even know what it smells
- 42:36like. It smells like shit.
- 42:37That's what it smells. Like that's tuts.
- 42:39It smells like shit and and and it's.
- 42:41Such a dirty manager. Jabba likes my shrimp contact.
- 42:46That's probably true. Is that your cucumber or are you
- 42:49happy to see me? I like anal all.
