Speaker 5: Good morning, how is everyone this morning.
• 2:55
Speaker 2: We are doing just fine. Thank you for being here.
• 2:57
Speaker 2: As always. Our pet of the week's picture posted on

• 3:05
  Speaker 2: Angie a beautiful dog. And I know you've got a
• 3:08
Speaker 2: personal interest in this dog because I think you were
• 3:11
Speaker 2: fostering this dog for a while. His name is Ozzie
• 3:14
Speaker 2: and he's got a great story. Tell us all about Ozzie.
• 3:18
Speaker 5: So I actually still am currently fostering Ozzy. He's a
• 3:22
Speaker 5: hard one to let go of. He When Ozzy came
• 3:25
Speaker 5: to the shelter at about a month and a half old,
• 3:30
Speaker 5: he had broken his leg in his previous foster home
• 3:34
Speaker 5: and it was something as simple as jumping off the
• 3:36
Speaker 5: couch and so our vetch went in and amputated his leg.
• 3:41
Speaker 5: It was a pretty nasty break that couldn't have been
• 3:44
Speaker 5: saved with normal splints or casting. And when his leg
• 3:49
Speaker 5: was amputated where he was so small, he had one
• 3:53
Speaker 5: in a million adverse reaction to anesthesia that was used
• 3:57
Speaker 5: for surgery. His heart stopped, but our medical team, as
• 4:01
Speaker 5: talented as they are, were able to bring him back
• 4:04
Speaker 5: to life essentially and for a couple of weeks. He
• 4:08
Speaker 5: was deaf and blind from that, but now he's back
• 4:11
Speaker 5: to one hundred percent minus the leg. He still doesn't
• 4:15
Speaker 5: have his back leg. But that is Ozzie's story. It's
• 4:21
Speaker 5: one that I call him zombie boy essentially because he
• 4:24
Speaker 5: died and came back to.
• 4:25
Speaker 2: Life if he did indeed, and again, I mean you said,
• 4:29
Speaker 2: that's like a one in a million thing that an
• 4:32
Speaker 2: animal would have an adverse reaction to the anesthesia like that.
• 4:37
Speaker 5: Yeah, it is something that is very, very very rare,
• 4:42
Speaker 5: and it could happen anywhere. It's not something that just
• 4:45
Speaker 5: happens in shelter medicine. You know, your regular veterinarians that
• 4:49
Speaker 5: aren't practicing shelter med on own pets can have that
• 4:53
Speaker 5: happen as well. So it's something that's really rare.
• 4:55
Speaker 2: Well, since you've been fostering and you continue to foster
• 4:58
Speaker 2: Ozzie in your home, to give a tough tell us
• 5:00
  Speaker 2: about Ozzie's personality.
• 5:02
Speaker 5: So Ozzy is now four months old, and when I
• 5:05
Speaker 5: tell you, he is the best behaved puppy I have
• 5:08
Speaker 5: ever had. He doesn't really chew things up, he doesn't
• 5:12
Speaker 5: I've not lost any pairs of shoes. Yet, let's say
• 5:14
Speaker 5: that he keeps his chewing too bones and toys. He's
• 5:19
Speaker 5: almost housebroken, which I cannot believe for a four months
• 5:23
Speaker 5: old puppy that's usually, you know, something that takes a
• 5:26
Speaker 5: lot of work. But he's almost housebroken. He completely ignores
• 5:30
Speaker 5: the cats that I have in my home. He just
• 5:31
Speaker 5: likes to watch them walk around my house. And he's
• 5:35
Speaker 5: great with my two dogs. I have an extra large
• 5:37
Speaker 5: Saint Bernard that he loves to play with, and then
• 5:40
Speaker 5: I have a smaller breed dog that he kind of ignores.
• 5:43
Speaker 5: Great with dogs as well.
• 5:45
Speaker 2: What about with kids? Has he been around kids?
• 5:48
Speaker 5: So I don't have any kids, thank goodness, But I'm
• 5:52
Speaker 5: sure that I'm sure that he would be lovely with kids.
• 5:56
Speaker 5: He's a young puppy and he's not very nippy like
• 5:59
Speaker 5: puppies usually are, so I think he would do beautifully
• 6:02
Speaker 5: with kids as well.
• 6:03
Speaker 2: I mean, based on his personality, as you said, I
• 6:06
Speaker 2: don't know why he wouldn't be good with kids. I mean,
• 6:08
Speaker 2: you know, he's good with other animals, he's good with cats.
• 6:10
Speaker 2: I mean, it wouldn't make any sense for him not
• 6:12
Speaker 2: to be good with kids. I wouldn't think. But as
• 6:14
Speaker 2: always you can arrange to, you know, have your kids
• 6:16
Speaker 2: come around and do a little, you know, a visit
• 6:19
Speaker 2: with him, just to make sure he's okay. What kind
• 6:21
Speaker 2: of dog is Ozzie?
• 6:23
Speaker 5: So that is that's a good question. He's very petite
• 6:26
Speaker 5: at four months old, he's probably I would say, less
• 6:29
  Speaker 5: than ten pounds. He's he's a little guy. He's got
• 6:33
Speaker 5: really long legs and like kind of folded slender ears
• 6:37
  Speaker 5: like a greyhound would have. Do I think he's a
• 6:40
Speaker 5: purebred greyhound. No, but that's just kind of like what
• 6:42
Speaker 5: his body shape reminds me of.
• 6:45
  Speaker 6: Jain.
• 6:45
Speaker 2: We're talking Angie Gillenwater from the Gnaal charcet Ymane Association
• 6:48
Speaker 2: telling us about Ozzy this week's Adopt Me Please put
• 6:51
Speaker 2: of the week and again the dog is the pictures

• 7:26
Speaker 5: We are trying to battle getting dogs outside and getting
• 7:29
Speaker 5: their time outside versus this weather that we're having. So
• 7:34
Speaker 5: we are, you know, fighting with the weather essentially, and
• 7:38
Speaker 5: we are taking on a lot of new medical cases.
• 7:43
Speaker 5: And that those are the two big things that we
• 7:45
Speaker 5: have seen this past week.
• 7:47
Speaker 2: I got a text here it said the textas said,
• 7:49
Speaker 2: they saw the heartbreaking update this morning that the Saint
• 7:51
Speaker 2: Auban's stray had passed away overnight. Did you ever figure
• 7:54
Speaker 2: out what happened to him?
• 7:56
Speaker 5: So, I have not gotten any updates on what it
• 7:59
Speaker 5: specifically happen into the cat. Usually when they come in
• 8:03
Speaker 5: that condition, it can be like some type of organ
• 8:06
Speaker 5: failure or you know, hit by car and as a
• 8:09
Speaker 5: result of that, some type of organ is failing. So
• 8:13
Speaker 5: I haven't got any exact updates. But I did if
• 8:15
Speaker 5: anyone was going to ask about that, I was going
• 8:17
Speaker 5: to share that it sadly did pass away.
• 8:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, how are your numbers looking at the shelter right now?
• 8:24
Speaker 5: So we are pretty manageable on cats. They are getting
• 8:27
Speaker 5: adopted fairly quickly. Dogs and puppies once again are our issue.
• 8:33
Speaker 5: I think we have maybe one or two open kennels
• 8:36
Speaker 5: in our big dog area for you know, emergencies to
• 8:40
Speaker 5: come in. And we have zero open space in our
• 8:42
Speaker 5: puppy area, which is why Ozzy is at my house.
• 8:46
Speaker 5: So dogs and puppies are we are really hurting. So
• 8:50
Speaker 5: if you want to foster or not something, that would
• 8:53
Speaker 5: be a great time to help us out.
• 8:55
Speaker 2: And I want to give a big shout out to
• 8:56
Speaker 2: my coworker. His office is next to mine. It's just
• 8:59
Speaker 2: low Scott from her sister station V one hundred. Logan.
• 9:03
Speaker 2: I don't think he'd mind me telling the story. He
• 9:05
Speaker 2: adopted a dog named Jupiter from the shelter last week
• 9:09
Speaker 2: and he brought Jupiter into the office last week and
• 9:12
Speaker 2: he entertained all of us here just what. I don't
• 9:16
Speaker 2: know whether you know particularly about this dog, but what
• 9:18
Speaker 2: a beautiful, beautiful dog.
• 9:20
Speaker 5: I do know Jupiter, and I want to give a
• 9:23
Speaker 5: special shout out to Logan. Just because Jupiter was one
• 9:27
Speaker 5: of our longer term residents that you know, sat with
• 9:30
Speaker 5: us for months on end with no interest, and you
• 9:33
Speaker 5: see what a perfect dog Jupiter is. So I just
• 9:37
Speaker 5: want to give a special shout out to Logan for
• 9:39
Speaker 5: looking past like that long term resident shelter dog. You know,
• 9:43
Speaker 5: stigma that is around these dogs, and you know, in
• 9:46
Speaker 5: turn getting a pretty good best friend, you.
• 9:48
Speaker 2: Know, And and no one knows why people choose if
• 9:52
Speaker 2: they if they, you know, God bless anybody that goes
• 9:54
Speaker 2: to the shelter and adopts an animal and doesn't go
• 9:57
Speaker 2: to a breeder or anything like that. So I've had
• 10:00
Speaker 2: off to those folks that do that, but no one
• 10:02
Speaker 2: really knows what goes into you know, how you make
• 10:05
Speaker 2: that choice. With my wife and I are our animals
• 10:09
Speaker 2: found us. You know, we we got what we got
• 10:11
Speaker 2: a cat from the shelter, like you know, almost thirty
• 10:14
Speaker 2: years ago. Of course that much long since past. Now
• 10:16
Speaker 2: the other cats that we have just showed up at
• 10:18
Speaker 2: our house. They adopted us. But when you go to
• 10:21
Speaker 2: the shelter, and I guess maybe there's a stigma because
• 10:24
Speaker 2: maybe do people ask, you know, how long has this
• 10:26
Speaker 2: particular critter been here? And you you wonder why or whatever,
• 10:31
Speaker 2: But I mean, you know, I haven't talked to Logan
• 10:34
Speaker 2: about it in a couple of days, but when he
• 10:35
Speaker 2: had that dog in the studio last week in the
• 10:37
Speaker 2: offices here, I mean, you couldn't have asked for a
• 10:39
Speaker 2: better dog. I mean, he was up and and you
• 10:41
Speaker 2: I don't know whether you've ever been in our building,
• 10:43
Speaker 2: and it's kind of a mazed a lot of stairs.
• 10:44
Speaker 2: The dog was just running up and down the stairs
• 10:46
Speaker 2: and greeting everybody. What a what a great dog, I mean,
• 10:50
Speaker 2: And hats off two Logan are from her sister Station
• 10:52
Speaker 2: V one hundred for adopting Jupiter because he is a
• 10:54
Speaker 2: great dog. You guys are gonna be out and about
• 10:57
Speaker 2: anywhere on this cold winter's weekend.
• 11:00
Speaker 5: It's a little too cold for us this weekend, understood. Yeah,
• 11:04
Speaker 5: Next Tuesday we'll be at Bridge Valley like a little
• 11:07
Speaker 5: Palls to de Stress moment with their students. So next Tuesday,
• 11:12
  Speaker 5: twelve to.
• 11:12
Speaker 2: Two at Bridge Valley. Our good friend doctor Casey Sachs,
• 11:15
Speaker 2: who was just on the show with us here a
• 11:16
Speaker 2: couple of days ago. What are you in need of
• 11:18
  Speaker 2: right now?
• 11:20
Speaker 5: Surprisingly, Dawn Dishwashing, Actually let me just rephrase that dishwashing
• 11:24
Speaker 5: like what doesn't have to be done well clean dishes,
• 11:26
Speaker 5: we will use it. And wet puppy and dog food.
• 11:31
Speaker 5: We're not picky about brands. And then, as always, volunteers
• 11:34
Speaker 5: and people that want to come up and spend time
• 11:36
Speaker 5: with the animals that we have, and.
• 11:38
Speaker 2: We try to mention that to people because there are
• 11:40
Speaker 2: people that have a kind heart and want to help animals,
• 11:42
Speaker 2: but maybe they live in an apartment or they've already
• 11:44
Speaker 2: got enough pets. And there's other ways that you can
• 11:46
Speaker 2: help out the shelters without actually adopting a pet. You
• 11:51
Speaker 2: can do cash donations, you can donate old old towels.
• 11:55
Speaker 2: We had a text last week where somebody said, if
• 11:56
Speaker 2: you happen to get towels for Christmas and you're looking
• 11:59
Speaker 2: to something to do, don't your old ones take them
• 12:01
Speaker 2: to the shelter. There's just so many ways, Angie, that
• 12:03
Speaker 2: people can help out that doesn't even involve adopting a pet.
• 12:07
Speaker 5: Absolutely donating your pets old supplies and you know, when
• 12:12
Speaker 5: they get new ones, you can give us your old
• 12:14
Speaker 5: pet supplies. There's also ways to help us that really
• 12:16
Speaker 5: don't even involve leaving your house. If you want to share,
• 12:20
Speaker 5: like your Facebook profile casey aha is full. Please go
• 12:23
Speaker 5: look at their animals. This is their address. You know,
• 12:26
Speaker 5: that helps us just as much as you know a
• 12:29
Speaker 5: cash donation would are taking a dog out to foster.
• 12:31
Speaker 5: There's so many ways to help us out.
• 12:34
Speaker 2: All right, Angie, appreciate it. We'll talk to you next week.
• 12:36
Speaker 5: Thanks a lot, absolutely, thank you so much.
• 12:39
Speaker 2: Ang You get a watter from the GNNAL Charleston Humane
• 12:41
Speaker 2: Association again. Put of the week's picture posted on Dave
• 12:44
Speaker 2: Island Radio and Facebook, the WCHS network Facebook page and
• 12:47
Speaker 2: at Dave A seventy on X. It's Ozzy a unique story.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: And oh, by the way, I just happen to think
• 12:53
Speaker 2: about this, you know, because I do some work on
• 12:54
Speaker 2: our sister station ninety eight seven a mouth. And you
• 12:57
Speaker 2: might see Ozzie's picture posting up on the Mountain Facebook
• 13:01
Speaker 2: page letter two, because I mean, the dog's name is Ozzy, Okay,
• 13:04
Speaker 2: so it's a natural. So maybe on the Mountain Facebook
• 13:08
Speaker 2: page a little bit as well. About four months old,
• 13:12
Speaker 2: he was adopted or he was being fostered, I think,
• 13:15
Speaker 2: and he jumped off the couch and broke his leg.
• 13:19
Speaker 2: When he was about one month old, and he broke
• 13:21
Speaker 2: it so badly that the leg had to be amputated.
• 13:24
Speaker 2: So he's a three legged wonder. While he was undergoing
• 13:28
Speaker 2: the surgery, his heart stopped. They were able to bring
• 13:32
Speaker 2: him back, but for a while he was blind and deaf,
• 13:36
Speaker 2: but that all came back. So other than the fact
• 13:39
Speaker 2: he only has three legs, perfect dog. He is housebroken,
• 13:42
Speaker 2: he's good with other dogs, he's good with cats, no
• 13:45
Speaker 2: reason to believe that he would not be good with kids.
• 13:48
Speaker 2: He is neutered, and because he's sponsored, he is absolutely free.
• 13:52
Speaker 2: What a great dog. He's currently living in Angie's house.
• 13:55
Speaker 2: She's fostering him right now. So if you are looking
• 13:57
Speaker 2: for a great, great dog for your fan family, go
• 14:01
Speaker 2: get Ozzy again. His pictures posted Dave Allen Radio on
• 14:03
Speaker 2: Facebook at Dave A seventy on x at the WCCHS
• 14:06
Speaker 2: Network Facebook page as well. It's nine twenty one. The

Speaker 2: in the primary. Good morning, sir, and welcome to the show.
• 17:51
Speaker 9: Hey, good morning, Dave. Thanks so much for having me.
• 17:53
Speaker 2: How you doing I'm doing fine, Thank you for being here.
• 17:55
Speaker 2: Before we talk about your run for US Senate, I
• 17:57
Speaker 2: want to talk about your current role in the legislature,
• 18:00
Speaker 2: your third day in your takes so far.
• 18:04
Speaker 6: Hey, we're up to.
• 18:05
Speaker 9: A great start. You know, I thought that the governor
• 18:09
Speaker 9: laid out some good priorities for us in his state
• 18:11
Speaker 9: of the state. We also have our priorities in the
• 18:15
Speaker 9: legislature as well. For me personally as Chairman of the Judiciary.
• 18:19
Speaker 9: I'm focused on what I hear the people in West
• 18:21
Speaker 9: Virginia telling me is important to them, and primarily that's
• 18:25
Speaker 9: economic prosperity for families in West Virginia. So I've got
• 18:29
Speaker 9: my team in the Judiciary focused on how can we
• 18:32
Speaker 9: make West Virginia one of the most business friendly states
• 18:36
Speaker 9: in the country, so easy to start jobs for West
• 18:39
Speaker 9: Virginians who want to start their own company, and also
• 18:42
Speaker 9: attractive for businesses outside the state to move in. So
• 18:46
Speaker 9: we're taking a look at what the top five most
• 18:48
Speaker 9: business friendly states are doing. Obviously, we want to make
• 18:51
Speaker 9: sure we've got all the protections for consumers and that
• 18:54
Speaker 9: sort of thing, but we want to make it as
• 18:56
Speaker 9: easy as possible to start a business and conduct a business,
• 18:59
Speaker 9: So we take the least amount of time from business
• 19:02
Speaker 9: owners so they can focus on their business and prosper
• 19:05
Speaker 9: and then that creates jobs and puts food on the
• 19:07
Speaker 9: table for West Virginian families. So that's that's my number
• 19:10
Speaker 9: one priority. We're also looking at reforming the child welfare
• 19:13
Speaker 9: system and we just want to make West Virginia the
• 19:16
Speaker 9: best place in the country for a kid to grow up,
• 19:18
Speaker 9: and so we're working with the administration, with the House,
• 19:22
Speaker 9: the Senate. There's a lot of cooperation, a lot of
• 19:24
Speaker 9: a lot of talks. We had several study groups and
• 19:29
Speaker 9: in town halls on the way leading up the session.
• 19:32
Speaker 9: I know the Governor, Secretary mayor did as well on
• 19:35
Speaker 9: the on the administration side, So reforming child welfare, the CPS,
• 19:39
Speaker 9: and then and then improving our educational outcomes. For me,
• 19:43
Speaker 9: that means two things really. I think one, we want
• 19:46
Speaker 9: to support our public teachers and I'm hoping we can
• 19:48
Speaker 9: give the public teachers a pay raise this session. But
• 19:51
Speaker 9: I also, in my opinion, means we need to protect
• 19:54
Speaker 9: school choice so parents, parents know best what's the best
• 19:57
Speaker 9: for their kids, and they've got the the authority and
• 20:01
Speaker 9: the resources to put their kids in the best school
• 20:03
Speaker 9: for their particular child. So those are some of the
• 20:05
Speaker 9: priorities we're working on.
• 20:07
Speaker 2: What where are you and the Governor's proposed tax cut.
• 20:12
Speaker 9: So we just got the budget Wednesday and we're still
• 20:16
Speaker 9: going through it. We're taking a look to see specifically
• 20:21
Speaker 9: if the budget includes one time money from the federal
• 20:25
Speaker 9: government for some of the Royal health initiatives we got
• 20:28
Speaker 9: for some of the broadband and and whether whether it's
• 20:32
Speaker 9: reliant on one time money or whether it's you know,
• 20:36
Speaker 9: whether it's more reliant on a base income. And so
• 20:39
Speaker 9: obviously the legislature is going to have its own priorities.
• 20:42
Speaker 9: From the Senate side, you know again, I think our
• 20:44
Speaker 9: priority is how do we improve economic prosperity for everyone
• 20:48
Speaker 9: in West Virginia from a business climate perspective, and how
• 20:52
Speaker 9: do we improve education? And our budget from the Senate
• 20:55
Speaker 9: side is going to reflect those priorities in my opinion.
• 20:58
Speaker 2: Talking to Tom Wells, who's this center, Now, let's transition
• 21:01
Speaker 2: from the job that you have to the job that
• 21:03
Speaker 2: you want to have. You're going to run. You're running
• 21:06
Speaker 2: against us under Sheldy Moore Capital in the Republican primary.
• 21:09
Speaker 2: Get into your background for those who may not know you,
• 21:12
Speaker 2: because I know the show is based in Charleston, people
• 21:15
Speaker 2: may not be that familiar with you, and they're going
• 21:17
Speaker 2: to see your name on the ballot come primary election
• 21:20
Speaker 2: a day or if they do early voting. So give
• 21:22
Speaker 2: us the bio on Tom Willis.
• 21:25
Speaker 9: Yeah, thanks, Stave. So, I live in Berkeley County. I'm
• 21:27
Speaker 9: from the Eastern Panhandle. For folks that aren't familiar from
• 21:30
Speaker 9: where I am coming from geographically, obviously, I'm living in
• 21:34
Speaker 9: Charleston now during session. But my background is I'm a Greenberry.
• 21:39
Speaker 9: I've been in the West Virginia National Guard for twenty
• 21:41
Speaker 9: five years in counting. I'm still a member of the
• 21:44
Speaker 9: West Virginia National Guard. I'm a West Virginia business owner.
• 21:47
Speaker 9: I own a law firm. We have a litigation practice
• 21:52
Speaker 9: with free offices, and i own a Tyler Mascrow company
• 21:56
Speaker 9: as well. So I'm a West Virginia business owner. And
• 22:01
  Speaker 9: I'm a family man, Christian family man. I'm a conservative
• 22:05
Speaker 9: constitutionalist and uh so that's that's my background, in addition
• 22:09
Speaker 9: to you know, being State Senator and chairman of the
• 22:12
Speaker 9: of the Judiciary Committee. So I think that I bring
• 22:16
Speaker 9: a lot of different perspectives to the table. Obviously, I
• 22:19
Speaker 9: have a you know, the I'm an attorney, so I
• 22:21
Speaker 9: bring a legal perspective. I'm a Special Forces green Beretu,
• 22:25
Speaker 9: so I've lived all over the seas. I've learned four
• 22:29
Speaker 9: languages along the way. I've worked out of a lot
• 22:31
Speaker 9: of embassies and and you know, we've chased down terrorists
• 22:35
Speaker 9: and narco terrarist, drug runners, all sorts of things all
• 22:38
Speaker 9: over the world. So I've got a very diverse background.
• 22:44
Speaker 9: It really helps me plus the business experience to you know,
• 22:48
Speaker 9: knowing how to read a profit loss statement and that
• 22:49
Speaker 9: sort of thing, have the pressure of payroll. So I
• 22:52
Speaker 9: think of whatever issue that we're dealing with, Dave, I
• 22:55
Speaker 9: think I've got a really good background to deal with
• 22:58
Speaker 9: and and and that's why I think that I'm most
• 23:00
Speaker 9: qualified to serve in the US Senate.
• 23:02
Speaker 2: So uh and by the way, thank you for your service.
• 23:04
Speaker 2: By the way. So, so, why with all those things
• 23:08
Speaker 2: that you have in your current seat in the state Senate,
• 23:11
Speaker 2: and you mentioned all the things that that that you've
• 23:13
Speaker 2: done and continue to do, why the run for US
• 23:16
Speaker 2: Senate at this point in your life.
• 23:18
Speaker 9: Well, we mail with a lot of state leaders, and
• 23:21
Speaker 9: there's there's some real discontent in the Republican Party on
• 23:25
Speaker 9: Shelley Moore Capito's performance and her votes. You know, she
• 23:29
Speaker 9: she skipped the vote to keep boys out of girl
• 23:31
Speaker 9: sports and uh and that bill failed and so we
• 23:35
Speaker 9: had a chance at the federal level to pass the
• 23:37
Speaker 9: law to keep boys out of girl sports, and and
• 23:39
Speaker 9: she skipped the vote. So what would fail? West Virginia
• 23:41
Speaker 9: voters are not happy with that. She voted for red
• 23:44
Speaker 9: flag gun confiscation and uh. Uh. The Second Amendment is
• 23:49
Speaker 9: a huge for me. I'll always defend it. West Virginia's
• 23:52
Speaker 9: are really upset about that unconstitutional, in my opinion, red
• 23:57
Speaker 9: flag gun grab law that she voted for. She's been
• 24:00
Speaker 9: pro abortion pretty much her whole career. She flip flopped
• 24:03
Speaker 9: conveniently for this election. She had a chance to vote
• 24:06
Speaker 9: to defund defund Planned Parenthood. She she did not vote
• 24:11
Speaker 9: to defund Planned Parenthood. And so you know, I call
• 24:16
Speaker 9: her the Nancy Pelosi of the US Senate. And the
• 24:19
Speaker 9: reason I do that is because the conservative voting agencies
• 24:23
Speaker 9: like FreedomWorks ce Pack Heritage Action, they give chilleymore Capital
• 24:28
Speaker 9: the same f rating for conservative voting record that they
• 24:32
Speaker 9: give to Nancy Pelosi. And if you look at Chilleymore
• 24:35
Speaker 9: Capito's insider trading record in the US Senate, she's rated
• 24:40
Speaker 9: as one of the most prolific, uh single stock inside traders.
• 24:45
Speaker 9: She's been trading in in companies you know, directly related
• 24:49
Speaker 9: to some of the committees that she's been on or chaired,
• 24:52
Speaker 9: and acquired a lot a lot of wealth that way.
• 24:55
Speaker 2: It's a pretty serious allegation, sarm.
• 24:58
  Speaker 9: Well, it's uh, it's public record. It's not it's not
• 25:01
Speaker 9: coming from Tom Willis. Look just google it. You know
• 25:04
Speaker 9: who's who's top rated, uh, who's top rated for you know,
• 25:09
Speaker 9: insider trading uh in the US Senate and and you'll
• 25:13
Speaker 9: see the results. So so anyway, for those reasons, you know,
• 25:17
Speaker 9: I think West Virginians are are are are just ready
• 25:21
Speaker 9: for a change. And Shelley's been in the in the
• 25:24
Speaker 9: US Congress for twenty five plus years. Most folks can't
• 25:29
Speaker 9: list anything significant that she's done. And I think West
• 25:32
Speaker 9: Virginians are just ready for a change, Dave.
• 25:34
Speaker 2: And you're not the only person running in the primary
• 25:37
Speaker 2: that is an addition to senator capital. Why do you
• 25:39
Speaker 2: think a couple of different people are running to get
• 25:41
  Speaker 2: senator capital.
• 25:43
Speaker 9: Yeah, that's a good question. You'll have to ask them, Dave.
• 25:45
  Speaker 9: I don't I don't think Yeah, I don't think any
• 25:48
Speaker 9: of them are serious candidates. I don't think any of
• 25:49
Speaker 9: them have any have, you know, resumes that would merit
• 25:53
Speaker 9: the job. But you'll have to ask them why they're running.
• 25:56
Speaker 9: I think that there's really this is a race between
• 25:58
Speaker 9: you know, two people. It's it's race between me and Shelley.
• 26:02
  Speaker 9: And that's that's how that's how it's going to play
• 26:04
  Speaker 9: out in May.
• 26:05
Speaker 2: You know Tom here, we're talking to State Senator Tom Willis,
• 26:08
Speaker 2: who is a Republican out of the fifteenth who's running
• 26:11
Speaker 2: for US senator as well. Anytime you have someone Tom
• 26:15
Speaker 2: who has occupied a seat for a while, there'll always
• 26:17
Speaker 2: be those that will say, and it doesn't matter regardless
• 26:21
Speaker 2: of party, they'll say about someone who's been there for
• 26:24
Speaker 2: a while that that it could be a step back
• 26:26
Speaker 2: for a state to elect a newcomer, because again, in
• 26:29
Speaker 2: some people's eyes, you could lose some stature in Washington
• 26:32
Speaker 2: because Senator Capitol or whomever has been there for a
• 26:34
Speaker 2: while and is one of the top ranking Republicans, certainly
• 26:38
Speaker 2: in Washington. Do you see that as a as a hindrance,
• 26:42
  Speaker 2: do you?
• 26:42
Speaker 9: Well, well, you know, when I was running against the
• 26:46
Speaker 9: lieutenant governor who had defeated by twelve points, we heard
• 26:50
Speaker 9: the same you know, we heard the same thing. You know,
• 26:53
Speaker 9: we'll lose position and you'll have to start over from scratch.
• 26:59
Speaker 9: But you know, one year later I was appointed as
• 27:02
Speaker 9: chairman of the Judiciary Committee. And so I think that
• 27:05
Speaker 9: really it didn't take me long to establish myself as
• 27:10
Speaker 9: a leader down in Charleston. And I think that it
• 27:13
Speaker 9: has a lot more to do with the leadership ability
• 27:16
Speaker 9: that you bring to the table and the relationships that
• 27:18
Speaker 9: you can build and the influence that you can build.
• 27:22
Speaker 9: It has a lot more to do with that than
• 27:25
Speaker 9: whether you're a freshman or whether you've been there for
• 27:27
Speaker 9: thirty years. So we have. You know, they're senators in
• 27:30
Speaker 9: the US Congress and the legislature in West Virginia that
• 27:33
Speaker 9: have been there for a long time that wield very
• 27:35
Speaker 9: little influence. But you know, I've got twenty five years
• 27:39
Speaker 9: of leadership training in the military plus the business world,
• 27:42
Speaker 9: and I love building relationships with my co legislators, and
• 27:47
Speaker 9: I've proven it that I can come in and become
• 27:50
Speaker 9: a leader very quickly. I've already done it in Charleston,
• 27:53
Speaker 9: and I'll do it again in DC.
• 27:54
Speaker 2: Well, you're certainly not a stranger to being the underdog
• 27:58
Speaker 2: because you did it before. As you mentioned, you're in
• 28:00
Speaker 2: your In your last race, you knocked off somebody that
• 28:02
Speaker 2: have been there for quite some time. Do you have
• 28:03
Speaker 2: a website or social media out there? Would you like
• 28:06
Speaker 2: to provote for the people?
• 28:08
Speaker 9: Sure? Yeah, thanks thanks for giving me that opportunity, Dave.
• 28:11
Speaker 9: My name is Tom Willis and my website is very simple.
• 28:14
Speaker 9: It's just Tom Willis dot com and you can you
• 28:17
Speaker 9: can sign up to volunteer, you can sign up to donate.
• 28:20
Speaker 9: All my policy positions are there, my biography is there.
• 28:23
Speaker 9: It's Tom Willis dot com.
• 28:24
Speaker 2: All right, before we let you go, I do this
• 28:25
Speaker 2: with every candidate Tom that I have on the show.
• 28:28
Speaker 2: I call it a final thirty not timed. Uh, why
• 28:31
Speaker 2: should someone vote for Tom Willis for the US sentatem.
• 28:34
Speaker 9: Well, we talked a little bit about why Shelley needs
• 28:37
Speaker 9: to go and why it's the time for a change.
• 28:39
Speaker 9: But let me tell you a little bit more about
• 28:40
Speaker 9: what's important to me and why, you know, why I'm running,
• 28:43
Speaker 9: what I want to accomplish in the US Senate. You know,
• 28:45
Speaker 9: the top two most important things to me, I think
• 28:48
Speaker 9: are we need to balance the budget. That's the number
• 28:50
Speaker 9: one job for the US Congress. And I really would
• 28:53
Speaker 9: like to see a balanced budget amendment. I'd like to
• 28:55
Speaker 9: see term limits in place. We need to engage in
• 28:59
Speaker 9: a long term strategy to counter China and China's influence.
• 29:03
Speaker 9: We need to keep the border secure. And there's some
• 29:05
Speaker 9: just givens that you're always going to get with Tom Willis.
• 29:08
Speaker 9: You know what do I stand for what I vote for. Well,
• 29:11
Speaker 9: I'm always going to protect our Second Amendment rights, our
• 29:14
Speaker 9: religious freedoms, I'm going to protect life. I'm always going
• 29:17
Speaker 9: to stand for limited government, low taxes, low regulations, personal accountability,
• 29:22
Speaker 9: and free market capitalism, free enterprise that's going to build
• 29:26
Speaker 9: up our middle class, provide prosperity for West Virginia families,
• 29:29

Speaker 2: Jeff Jenkins, Good morning, sir. I almost said a good afternoon.
• 33:45
Speaker 2: I'm not used to having you in the morning show.
• 33:47
Speaker 2: So good after good morning. Let's dit it again. How
• 33:50
Speaker 2: you doing all right? I'm doing fine. We have got
• 33:52
Speaker 2: a big time high school basketball game to get to
• 33:56
Speaker 2: GW taking on capital. But before we get to that,
• 33:58
Speaker 2: you've got some breaking news.
• 33:59
Speaker 13: Yeah. So, the Hancock County School Systems has some financial
• 34:02
Speaker 13: problems and really just kind of discovered them in a
• 34:06
Speaker 13: big way in the last couple of months. They had
• 34:08
Speaker 13: a chief financial officer who didn't do a very good job,
• 34:12
Speaker 13: and the administration there didn't do a very good job
• 34:15
Speaker 13: of checking up on what he was doing, and so
• 34:18
Speaker 13: they fell behind and have had to do some shifting
• 34:22
Speaker 13: to even make payroll in the last couple of months.
• 34:25
Speaker 13: And they've asked for more than seven hundred thousand dollars
• 34:28
Speaker 13: to meet February's payroll. And so this is of concern
• 34:33
Speaker 13: to the State Board of Education. The State Board of
• 34:36
Speaker 13: Education convened a special meeting earlier this hour and they
• 34:41
Speaker 13: voted to declare a state of emergency in the Hancock
• 34:44
Speaker 13: County School System. They took the system over. They fired
• 34:47
Speaker 13: the superintendent today he's off the job. At the end
• 34:51
Speaker 13: of the day, the assistant superintendent. They appointed a new superintendent.
• 34:55
Speaker 13: And this meeting started noticle they did. They did all that,
• 34:59
Speaker 13: and they did and they they they said, don't worry
• 35:04
Speaker 13: employees of the Hancock County School System, you will be
• 35:07
Speaker 13: paid all right. So this is what State Board of
• 35:12
Speaker 13: Education President Paul Hardesty set so that one of the
• 35:16
Speaker 13: main problems is Hancock County is way above the funding
• 35:20
Speaker 13: formulam when it comes to employees more than one hundred
• 35:24
Speaker 13: employees above. I mean they're students. Number of students don't
• 35:26
Speaker 13: match how many employees they have. They got way too
• 35:28
Speaker 13: many employees, a lot of these funded by the federal
• 35:32
Speaker 13: COVID money, and then they never did anything after that.
• 35:35
Speaker 13: It doesn't appear. So here's what Paul Hardesty said about that.
• 35:38
Speaker 6: You're one hundred and forty people over today. You all
• 35:40
Speaker 6: have escalated and grew your your average by significant amounts.
• 35:47
Speaker 6: There's been nothing done with regards to riffs and transfers
• 35:52
  Speaker 6: in Hancock County.
• 35:53
Speaker 13: All right, one hundred and forty, one hundred and forty
• 35:56
Speaker 13: employees over the formula. So that will give you a
• 36:00
Speaker 13: financial problem, right, Yeah, And so the state state Department
• 36:05
Speaker 13: of Education voted to take them over. And uh, and
• 36:09
Speaker 13: then you know, I first, I don't know how these
• 36:12
Speaker 13: things work out. I mean, now they're in control of
• 36:14
Speaker 13: several counties. It would seem that if you get a
• 36:17
Speaker 13: new superintendent in there, and then if they work through
• 36:19
Speaker 13: these things and make some cuts, you know, they're gonna
• 36:22
Speaker 13: have to be a lot of positions rift uh. And uh,
• 36:25
Speaker 13: you know, maybe maybe it can be turned over back
• 36:27
Speaker 13: in local control, and you know, several months down the road,
• 36:30
Speaker 13: we'll see. But the news is that they voted to
• 36:32
Speaker 13: take that system over because of the financial issue. So
• 36:35
Speaker 13: we'll have a story coming up at wv metronews dot
• 36:38
Speaker 13: com and just a little bit now high school basketball school.
• 36:41
Speaker 2: By the way, I do want to be so to
• 36:42
Speaker 2: the center. I understand that they were efforting. Paul Hardest
• 36:45
Speaker 2: seem to be on talkline today. I think he is
• 36:48
Speaker 2: going to be on talk line today. Yeah, he'll talk more.
• 36:50
Speaker 2: He'll talk about now. Now let's get the high school basketball.
• 36:52
Speaker 2: It'll still be a great one.
• 36:53
Speaker 13: To Yeah, big game, you know, Capital GW is always
• 36:56
Speaker 13: a good game because it's a city rivalry, your two
• 36:59
Speaker 13: high schools and in the city of Charleston, and so
• 37:05
Speaker 13: this year particularly, both teams, you know, are having really
• 37:09
Speaker 13: good years. Capital is nine to two, they're in Class
• 37:13
Speaker 13: Triple A now and they're the top ranked team in
• 37:15
Speaker 13: Class Triple A under second year head coach former Capital
• 37:20
Speaker 13: star Cookie Miller. And then GW is doing what GW does.
• 37:24
Speaker 13: They're having a great year. They are undefeated. Noah Lewis
• 37:31
Speaker 13: is leading the way for coach Rick Green, and Noah
• 37:33
Speaker 13: Lewis is having a Player of the Year type year.
• 37:36
Speaker 13: He's averaging I think more than thirty points a game,
• 37:39
Speaker 13: double digits and rebounds. He's on his way to Wright State,
• 37:42
Speaker 13: and so they play each other tonight. So Quad A
• 37:45
Speaker 13: number one team George Washington hosting Triple A number one
• 37:48
Speaker 13: team Capital, and that game is up at GW tonight.
• 37:51
Speaker 13: I know people are you know. I think there's been
• 37:54
Speaker 13: se messages on Facebook about you know, the tickets and
• 37:58
Speaker 13: all those things, and I'm sure the crowd will start
• 38:01
Speaker 13: building even during the JV game, maybe maybe before the
• 38:03
  Speaker 13: JV game.
• 38:05
Speaker 2: If you're going to Spot, I've got.
• 38:07
Speaker 13: My spot secured. Got my spot secured. U. But yeah,
• 38:11
Speaker 13: we'll have that game tonight. That will be that'll be,
• 38:14
  Speaker 13: that'll be a good game. That'll be a good game,
• 38:16
  Speaker 13: and it'll be it'll be a lot of emotion, a
• 38:18
  Speaker 13: lot of excitement.
• 38:20
  Speaker 2: Uh.
• 38:20
Speaker 13: There is a player on the Capitol team who's a
• 38:22
Speaker 13: former GW player, DJ Spencer, who's one of the Capitol
• 38:25
Speaker 13: starters and uh and so these players know each other
• 38:28
Speaker 13: well and all those things. So that'll be that'll be
• 38:30
Speaker 13: a good game tonight, and you know it's good to see. Uh.
• 38:33
Speaker 13: So we'll have that game tonight over on ninety six
• 38:35
Speaker 13: to one k WS. It'll be Hoover taking on Nitro
• 38:39
Speaker 13: up at Hoover. Tom Bragg will have that call tonight
• 38:42
Speaker 13: and then tomorrow night. I'll be the third high school
• 38:45
Speaker 13: in Charleston's Charleston Catholic, and they will host POKA tomorrow
• 38:48
Speaker 13: night at seven o'clock. And I think tomorrow night they're
• 38:51
Speaker 13: they're naming the court after a long time now former
• 38:55
Speaker 13: Charleston Catholic principal Deborah Sullivan. They're naming their they're naming
• 38:59
Speaker 13: the court after her Tomorrow night up at the Catholic
• 39:02
  Speaker 13: Athletic Contacts.
• 39:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, good stuff there, and we'll have coverage. As Jeff
• 39:05
Speaker 2: said of the GW Capitol game, that I have an
• 39:07
  Speaker 2: abbreviated sports line.
• 39:08
Speaker 13: Yeah, we'll come on, Well, I come on. It just
• 39:10
Speaker 13: depends where the JV game is and.
• 39:13
Speaker 2: How many people trying are in line trying to get
• 39:14
  Speaker 2: in these games.
• 39:15
Speaker 13: They slate them. They schedule them to start at seven.
• 39:18
  Speaker 6: Now.
• 39:19
Speaker 13: They used to high school basketballers used to start seven thirty.
• 39:21
Speaker 13: Then they moved it up to seven, and it's hard,
• 39:23
Speaker 13: quite honestly, to get games started at seven. Sometimes they
• 39:26
Speaker 13: end up around ten after something like that. So we
• 39:29
Speaker 13: try to take as much sports sports line as we
• 39:31
Speaker 13: can and then get in both coaches interviews. So I've
• 39:33
Speaker 13: planned to have both coach Green and coach Miller in
• 39:36
Speaker 13: the pregame. Uh, and then we'll play those interviews. But
• 39:40
Speaker 13: sometimes it's maybe ten toll seven, five to seven. It
• 39:42
Speaker 13: just kind of depends. It floats a little bit. But
• 39:44
Speaker 13: tune in right right before seven. Well, you'll be listening
• 39:47
Speaker 13: to sports Line anyway, So just listen to sports Line
• 39:49
Speaker 13: and then uh, and then we'll come on and we'll
• 39:51
Speaker 13: do the game and it'll tip probably round seven or
• 39:53
  Speaker 13: shortly after.
• 39:54
Speaker 2: Great good luck on the call. Then, I Jeff's going
• 39:56
Speaker 2: to be a fantastic game. Can imagine what that atmosphere
• 39:58
Speaker 2: is going to be like, Oh, it'll be good. Absolutely

• 46:16
Speaker 2: spent some time googling, as he suggested, and Shelley Moore
• 46:18
Speaker 2: Capitol's name is nowhere on the top insider trading list
• 46:22
Speaker 2: for the US Senate. Tex says, have him explain why
• 46:26
Speaker 2: it's good for people with domestic violence protective orders to
• 46:28
Speaker 2: continue to possess guns, as the saying, I just I
• 46:32
Speaker 2: guess the question that I was asking Senator Willis, and
• 46:34
Speaker 2: he was very gracious with his time, and I appreciate
• 46:37
Speaker 2: that had a good interview with him. Is any time
• 46:40
Speaker 2: that you have somebody that's held an office for quite
• 46:43
Speaker 2: a bit of time and Neil. Shelley Moore Capito has
• 46:45
Speaker 2: been in Washington for some time, and I don't This
• 46:47
Speaker 2: is not about Shelley Moore Capito. This is about anybody
• 46:50
Speaker 2: that's held that officer's always. And I thought it was
• 46:52
Speaker 2: a fair question, and he answered it, and he answered
• 46:54
Speaker 2: it to and I appreciate that it's always a fair
• 46:58
Speaker 2: question to ask, well, if you in effect start all
• 47:01
Speaker 2: over again by putting someone new in there, whether it's
• 47:06
Speaker 2: mister Willis or whether it's somebody running on the Democrat
• 47:09
Speaker 2: side or whatever, it doesn't really matter, or Alexander Gosserude
• 47:13
Speaker 2: is somebody else that's running for it doesn't matter. The
• 47:16
Speaker 2: question I was asking was people, political experts or whatever,
• 47:21
Speaker 2: or voters will say, well, you know, Shelley Moore capital
• 47:23
Speaker 2: fourth ranking Republican in d C right now, is it's
• 47:26
Speaker 2: such a good idea that we change at this point
• 47:28
Speaker 2: and we start all over again. And I think it's
• 47:30
Speaker 2: a fair question. And to Tom Willis's credit, Senator Tom Willis,
• 47:33
Speaker 2: he answered the question why he felt that it was
• 47:36
Speaker 2: necessary to change. So I appreciate I appreciate that, Hey,
• 47:40
Speaker 2: next weekend, next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we'll be over
• 47:44
Speaker 2: to the Coddle Seeing the Convention Center for the annual
• 47:47
Speaker 2: Hunting and Fishing show, and it's always a great, great time.
• 47:51
Speaker 2: Our folks will be there throughout the weekend. Chris Lawrence
• 47:53
Speaker 2: will do West Virginia Outdoors Live from there on Saturday morning,
• 47:57
Speaker 2: three hour show next Saturday morning. Now, if you want
• 48:00
Speaker 2: to come out, admission twelve dollars at the door. Those
• 48:02
Speaker 2: twelve and hundred will get in for free. The hour's
• 48:04

• 48:07
Speaker 2: till five on Sunday again. All this next weekend over
• 48:10
Speaker 2: to Coddloseema Convention Center. One of the biggest, I mean
• 48:12
Speaker 2: the biggest as far as I know, the biggest hunting
• 48:14
Speaker 2: and fishing event in the entire state of West Virginia.
• 48:16
Speaker 2: And there are several that our stations are part of.
• 48:19
Speaker 2: I know Morgantown has won several others as well, but
• 48:21
Speaker 2: this is just about the biggest, and it's going to
• 48:23
Speaker 2: be next weekend at the Coddloseema Convention Center. We'll all
• 48:26
Speaker 2: be over there. I Am going to be over there
• 48:29
Speaker 2: Saturday morning next next week. So looking forward to people
• 48:33
Speaker 2: stopping byer booth and saying hello.
• 48:35
  Speaker 6: To us.
• 48:35
Speaker 2: This is always a good time, and you know outdoors folks,
• 48:39
Speaker 2: of which admittedly I'm I'm more of a fan of
• 48:42
Speaker 2: the great indoors. Okay, you know, I'm just saying. However,
• 48:46
Speaker 2: I have a great appreciation for outdoorst people like Chris Lawrence,
• 48:50
Speaker 2: some of my other buddies, and so I get to
• 48:52
Speaker 2: see all those guys all a lot of my buddies.
• 48:54
Speaker 2: Big shout out to my buddy Jake and Sammy, a
• 48:57
Speaker 2: couple of my southern West Virginia boys that are going
• 49:00
Speaker 2: to be coming up to joining me next Saturday morning
• 49:02
Speaker 2: hanging out with us a little bit. So looking forward
• 49:04
Speaker 2: to seeing you there. We'll spend some time talking about it.
• 49:07
Speaker 2: Glenn Jerrell of the Trophy Hunters Association. The folks that
• 49:09
Speaker 2: put this on will join us next week a couple
• 49:12
Speaker 2: of times on the show to talk about it, and
• 49:14
Speaker 2: some of our stations are going to be doing ticket
• 49:15
Speaker 2: giveaways as well, So be listening to your favorite WVRC
• 49:18
Speaker 2: Media radio station, WVRC Media, Charleston. You make very well
• 49:22
Speaker 2: when you sell some tickets to the Annual Hunting and
• 49:24
Speaker 2: Fishing Show at the Connleseauman Convention Center next Friday Saturday,
• 49:27
Speaker 2: and Sunday. So you know, everybody, take a look at
• 49:30
Speaker 2: the legislature right now, and we'll close with this, just
• 49:33
Speaker 2: a few moments left in the show. I'm kind of
• 49:36
Speaker 2: interested to see what comes out over the next couple
• 49:40
Speaker 2: of months. Sixty day session and Wednesday, of course, was
• 49:44
Speaker 2: opening day, and that's pretty much ceremonial. The governor gave
• 49:48
Speaker 2: the state of the Space, state of the State speech
• 49:49
Speaker 2: Wednesday night, then they got down to business yesterday. There'll
• 49:52
Speaker 2: be things going on today, but if you've ever been
• 49:55
Speaker 2: around the capitol, Fridays kind of a getaway day. So
• 49:57
Speaker 2: I don't know how much will actually get done today.
• 49:59
Speaker 2: There's some UH Finance Committee meetings I think held earlier
• 50:02
Speaker 2: this morning. There'll be a few things throughout the day
• 50:04
Speaker 2: to day. But I'm kind of interested from this point
• 50:06
Speaker 2: on what we are going to see out of the legislature.
• 50:09
  Speaker 15: Now.
• 50:09
Speaker 2: You always see those those outrageous bills that that get
• 50:14
Speaker 2: to grab all the headlines, and those of us in
• 50:17
Speaker 2: and you know, I love this word, those of us
• 50:19
Speaker 2: in the media, UH take a little crap from time
• 50:22
Speaker 2: to time because they say that we focus too much
• 50:25
Speaker 2: on these these I don't wanna say outlandish because they're
• 50:28
Speaker 2: important to somebody, But these bills that are the shiny objects,
• 50:31
Speaker 2: and so on and so forth. But I mean, that's
• 50:33
Speaker 2: what that's what a lot of people talk about. I mean,
• 50:36
Speaker 2: there is a big move on probably and I'm and
• 50:40
Speaker 2: I'm gonna say, and I'm not judging in any way.
• 50:43
Speaker 2: I'm just saying it's not gonna happen. But there seems
• 50:46
Speaker 2: to be a bigger move this year than in years
• 50:49
Speaker 2: past that I've seen for recreational cannabis. And to say
• 50:52
Speaker 2: of West Virginia and those that are for it, will
• 50:54
Speaker 2: it to out the economic impacts that cannabis can have,
• 50:57
Speaker 2: uh in West Virginia those against it? You know the
• 51:00
Speaker 2: old argument gateway drug, we don't need this, so on
• 51:03
Speaker 2: and so forth. I don't have an opinion either way.
• 51:05
Speaker 2: But it's not going to happen regardless, not not with
• 51:08
Speaker 2: the super majority of Republicans. It's simply it's simply not
• 51:11
Speaker 2: going to happen. Another issue it's going to be discussed
• 51:14
Speaker 2: a lot, I think is data centers. And I have
• 51:17
Speaker 2: made my opinions on data centers known. I'm one hundred
• 51:20
Speaker 2: percent for them. If you want one, put one in
• 51:22
Speaker 2: my backyard, I'll move if it's going, if it's going
• 51:25
Speaker 2: to if it's going to create jobs, is going to
• 51:27
Speaker 2: spur the ecadomy have that. A matter of fact, there's
• 51:29
Speaker 2: already data centers here. There's a big one in South
• 51:31
Speaker 2: Charleston that you may not even known about. So because
• 51:34
Speaker 2: it didn't make all the headlines. DJ Meadow is always
• 51:36
  Speaker 2: making headlines.
• 51:37
Speaker 3: How you doing that?
• 51:38
Speaker 2: I'm good, buddy. How are you welcome back from the capital.
• 51:41
Speaker 2: You guys are not there today? Will be back over
• 51:43
Speaker 2: there next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Yeah, live at the
• 51:45
Speaker 2: coump Let. It's gonna be back in the studio. We
• 51:47
Speaker 2: have such a nice place. It's good to be here. Yeah,
• 51:48
Speaker 2: all right, what you get on the show today?
• 51:50
Speaker 17: We're going to talk to Paul Hardesty right out of
• 51:51
Speaker 17: gate this thing in Hancott County. I have to tell you,
• 51:54
  Speaker 17: I don't know that I could name a bigger instance
• 51:57
Speaker 17: of gross financial mismanagement than what they have.
• 52:00
Speaker 2: I don't know whether you heard Jeff Jenkins on he
• 52:02
Speaker 2: just broke the story. Later on we played some audio
• 52:04
Speaker 2: from Paul Hardesty a little bit earlier in the show.
• 52:06
Speaker 2: I mean, what over one hundred different over positions, hundred
• 52:10
Speaker 2: positions over books are a mess.
• 52:12
Speaker 17: I mean, if you look up disaster in the dictionary,
• 52:15
Speaker 17: you may very well find a reference to Hancock County Square.
• 52:18
Speaker 2: You guys will talk about that on the show. I'll
• 52:20
Speaker 2: be back later today with Metro News, Midday with thirteen
• 52:22
Speaker 2: News and Tonight Live anchor Amanda Barrett, my producer Ryan Nicholson.
• 52:26
Speaker 2: Thank you so much. We'll see you later today. Have
