- 0:03Speaker 1: Bohr Boer remodeling dot com. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements. What's the
- 0:09Speaker 1: place in your house that needs, I don't know, to
- 0:12Speaker 1: be better? That's really what this is about. You love
- 0:15Speaker 1: your house, but your house could be better. That's what
- 0:17Speaker 1: Boer does. It helps you take your ideas on what
- 0:20Speaker 1: makes it better and turns them into reality. A kitchen
- 0:23Speaker 1: that has the cabinet space, or has the storage space,
- 0:26Speaker 1: or has a countertop that I don't know the family
- 0:28Speaker 1: can sit around, or looks like it's from this century.
- 0:30Speaker 1: A bathroom that actually can handle a growing family or
- 0:34Speaker 1: maybe a downsizing family, maybe some other needs. Yes, Boer
- 0:37Speaker 1: are the people to call the best materials, the most
- 0:39Speaker 1: skilled craftsmen. How about taking that basement and turning it
- 0:42Speaker 1: in from this like musty dump land into an actual
- 0:47Speaker 1: part of the home.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Boer Remodeling.
- 0:49Speaker 1: They deliver quality work on time, with a service oriented attitude.

- 1:21Speaker 1: The popcorn moment, Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It's a story you need to hear to believe. Then
- 1:29Speaker 2: grab your popcorn because there is more.
- 1:32Speaker 1: This isn't about Iran and the nonsense there, of course,
- 1:35Speaker 1: the memorandum of understanding being absolutely nothing. Exactly what we said,
- 1:41Speaker 1: exactly what we said, we were correct.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:46Speaker 1: This isn't about the resignation of Kure Starmer, the Prime
- 1:50Speaker 1: Minister of the United Kingdom, who will stick around to
- 1:52Speaker 1: the Labor Party elects a new prime minister and they
- 1:55Speaker 1: may go even further left. They're already attacking free speech,
- 1:58Speaker 1: they're already allowing mass grason. They've already said they have
- 2:01Speaker 1: no interest in defending the nation. That's why the Defense
- 2:03Speaker 1: Minister resigned, and they're going to continue to not learn.
- 2:07Speaker 1: This isn't about the Republican nomination of Max Ingling to
- 2:11Speaker 1: Secretary of State to go up against bo by in
- 2:14Speaker 1: that race for Secretary of State. You may have Greg
- 2:16Speaker 1: Ballad in it, you've got libertarians in it. What's gonna happen.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna break that down at seven forty five. No,
- 2:23Speaker 1: this is about a TV anchor by the name of
- 2:26Speaker 1: Dustin Nolan.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I don't know Dustin, don't know him at all, but.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Dustin Nolan, I think he out Iowa decided he was
- 2:38Speaker 1: done with being a broadcaster. I've had enough, That's what
- 2:44Speaker 1: he said. And in his address to his audience, he said, why.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Well, I'll try to get through this well. Before we
- 2:58Speaker 3: go this morning, I have an announcement. Today is my
- 3:03Speaker 3: last day here at KOPQCTV six. I have chosen to
- 3:06Speaker 3: step away from the news industry. Before I say goodbye,
- 3:09Speaker 3: I just want to say I hope every one of
- 3:12Speaker 3: you that's allowed me to be a part of your
- 3:14Speaker 3: mornings know just how important that I have taken this job,
- 3:17Speaker 3: how much it means to me that you trust you
- 3:23Speaker 3: trusted me these past few years to bring you the
- 3:25Speaker 3: news in the morning. I promise you I've given you
- 3:27Speaker 3: everything I have. I've never tried to be perfect or
- 3:30Speaker 3: what many think a newsman should is supposed to be,
- 3:33Speaker 3: but I've always done my best to be transparent, bringing
- 3:35Speaker 3: you the facts, and I've always been myself. I've loved
- 3:39Speaker 3: being able to provide a public service to this place
- 3:41Speaker 3: we all call home, the Quiet Cities. When it comes
- 3:44Speaker 3: to this job, all I've ever wanted to do is
- 3:46Speaker 3: report on the issues that really matter. I've always believed
- 3:49Speaker 3: that we as a local news station, owe you, the viewers,
- 3:52Speaker 3: the best that we can do, because without you, none
- 3:55Speaker 3: of us would be able to do this job. I
- 3:57Speaker 3: also believe that we as a local news station, have
- 3:59Speaker 3: to be more than trends or sanitize news because it
- 4:02Speaker 3: makes people feel uncomfortable. That's why the facts matter, and
- 4:05Speaker 3: that's why we do what we do here. We have
- 4:08Speaker 3: to take people out of their bubbles and comfort zones
- 4:11Speaker 3: and make them think about the world we all live in.
- 4:15Speaker 3: And this is a bittersweet goodbye. Yes, I'm looking forward
- 4:18Speaker 3: to my.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Next chapter.
- 4:22Speaker 3: In life, but it's not easy to say goodbye. The
- 4:25Speaker 3: hardest part of this job for me is the realization
- 4:28Speaker 3: that I won't be working with Jenna anymore because she
- 4:31Speaker 3: isn't just the greatest go anchor.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Nice and emotional.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And he's leaving, but he's not leaving because he's tired
- 4:40Speaker 1: of the job. He's leaving because he's tired of journalism
- 4:44Speaker 1: and what it has become. Sanitize news, the idea that
- 4:51Speaker 1: a story is told for the sake of the story
- 4:54Speaker 1: that people want to tell and not for the news
- 4:57Speaker 1: that the story is, and then people make up their
- 5:00Speaker 1: own minds. I have been very clear from the beginning,
- 5:03Speaker 1: from the very start of this career, which at the
- 5:05Speaker 1: end of this month will be twelve years.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Here in Indianapolis, I don't do news.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I do commentary. Sometimes we break news, but I do
- 5:17Speaker 1: commentary on the news. The news department does news, and I,
- 5:22Speaker 1: for the reasons that Dustin Nolan is discussing.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Here, could never do that.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I could not be an anchor on any day, to
- 5:34Speaker 1: not have my own voice, to not be able to
- 5:36Speaker 1: share things the way that I see them, to not
- 5:39Speaker 1: be able to put things together, not be able to
- 5:41Speaker 1: say that's what the conventional wisdom says, I'm over here,
- 5:45Speaker 1: that's not the actual story. Here's the actual data points
- 5:48Speaker 1: I put forth to you that we put on this show,
- 5:52Speaker 1: more news out on a daily basis of data than
- 5:57Speaker 1: the vast majority of news outlets.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Even where we live right here in Indianapolis. I get it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Can you imagine wanting to do something in your whole
- 6:09Speaker 1: career only to find out you don't get to do it.
- 6:12Speaker 1: That's gotta be awful. I wonder if this is a trend.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I wonder if this is something that's going to grow,
- 6:18Speaker 1: or the money's good in the north of the gigs
- 6:21Speaker 1: out there. So I leave and you get recognized, you know,
- 6:23Speaker 1: sometimes you get a good parking spot, so that's cool.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But yeah, some people actually want to be able to
- 6:30Speaker 1: do the job, and when they can't, what's the point.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I respect the hell out of that. All the best
- 6:38Speaker 1: to Dustin Nolan.
