Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's the Mile High Huddle Podcast.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm your host Chad Jensen with me.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: My fellow football priest.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know him.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: You love him.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure you've missed him.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a few days since last we were on Zach Kelberman.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: Zach first things first.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: We can get to like our our Bronco takeaways from the Super Bowl and our general takeaways, but how did you feel about what you saw yesterday?
- 0:43[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, not surprised, validated in a sense, uh, this was the first Super Bowl I can remember pretty much since 2020 where I was completely divested from it from an emotional standpoint just because of what happened in the AFC title game, because of the history between the Broncos and the Seahawks, I really didn't care who won it was a lose lose, so I didn't pay as close attention to it as other Super Bowls, but not surprising that Drake may and the
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like Scott, he's not with us tonight.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's got some stuff cooking, but it's like he said in the immediate aftermath Zach of the AFC title games, like I still don't know how good the New England Patriots are because the kind of got handed a freebie, which they honestly should have lost even that because
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: take away Zach the fourth and one decision from Sean Peyton early in the game let's just say that still happens and goes down the way it did let's still say the two-handed fumble to quote you of steady still happens the way it did yeah if uh will let's just make those two fill goals that he normally makes.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos are still in the Super Bowl so yeah the uh
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: The Patriots turned out Zach false gold and I was just I watched that game feeling just this on one hand kind of sickening feeling but on the other like actually very encouraged and confident and exciting and that is
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos should have been in the Super Bowl.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: They would have, if Bo doesn't get hurt, they would have got through the Patriots at home, even in the Elements Zach, Bo would have found a way.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sorry, did Sam Donald in that offense blow your socks off where you completely stunned and overwhelmed by the Seahawks offense.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Their defense obviously played very well, scored all that stuff.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: But I think Bo Nick's
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: He would have traded field goals with sand Arnold.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Broncos defense Zach would have been about the same as the C-hawks in terms, or as the Patriots in terms of limiting the C-hawks.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: And then I think you wouldn't have had the turnovers that you saw from Drake may from Bo.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it would have come down to the bottom of the fourth Bo gets a chance and the Broncos could just very well be world champs.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: But maybe that's how it shook out in an alternate football universe.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it definitely did and for every reason you just laid out perfectly as why the wound is still so fresh for me is the same reason why I was so divested from this year's Super Bowl chat.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a common knowledge by now and the consensus among most if not all people that if bone mix were to stay healthy, they would have won the AFC title game and listen, who knows what would have happened in the Super Bowl?
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe this the box still would have won.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: But I guarantee you, bone mix in the Brock os offense would have scored more than the Patriots did and the defense wouldn't have allowed as many points as the
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Patriots defense wouldn't it would have been a closer game what we got in this timeline chat and this universe was kind of a stinker
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, honestly, I don't think the Seahawks defense was that good in the Super Bowl.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: They were good, they found a way as Drake may start getting desperate in the second half to knock the ball out and get some turnovers, but I don't think it was more Zach a product of big stage.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: We honestly don't belong here more so than it was the Seahawks defense imposing its will.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: And the Broncos, here's a big difference.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's just say, Bonyx and Drake may,
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: You know, whatever you want to say about them relative to their comparables and how good one is over the other, but the Broncos defense deck would have held things together, given both that opportunity.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: The more I think about it, the more it actually wants to drive me crazy.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I got to kind of lay off some of those thoughts, but coming out of that superbowl man, I'm even more encouraged by what the future holds for this team.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I have two additional thoughts.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: I saw something on Twitter.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's valid, but I saw that.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: A quarter back in a second season who reached the Super Bowl, they never went back and reached it again in their career.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe in hindsight, it's a good thing that Boneyx never made it this year.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, man, the other thing that strikes me is that it's, it's, the Broncos still, we did the power rankings that I wrote that piece up.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos still are being discounted as,
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: behind the Patriots still there's still the what if and and Jeff leg wall of the SPN even said it might not have changed much of bonus would have stayed healthy.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's all I just regard that chef.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: I don't agree with that.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'll do respect to Lego Aldo, who we genuinely do have nothing but love and respect for.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: I disagree with that, Bigley, I couldn't disagree with that more.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see what the community has to say.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: We got the pop of Bear Checking in early with the generous Super Chat.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Big Dog, and by the way, to the Mount Rushmore Superstars of 2025.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: let us know when you start seeing your t-shirts show up and your little care package.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it should be any day now.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: I've gotten tracking numbers on everything.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: Everything has been shipped and on the road.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: So please let us know.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: Popper Barlow says good evening Broncos country, like comment, subscribe and share.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: 26, 27 offseason begins.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, we are trying to get to 40,000 subscribers on YouTube and or about 1,700 and change away from that.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: So if you are one of the listeners who isn't subscribed yet, welcome, please come and subscribe, become part of the family here at MHH and help us reach that goal.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: Papa Bear, thank you, Big Dog.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, officially the NFL Offseason Zach begins today, although the Broncos had obviously a two week head start.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I realized I'm getting older because I'm losing my train of thought more off and Chad and one thing I did want to mention earlier, my little preamble a second ago was Kenneth Walker, the MVP of the Super Bowl, he's scheduled to be a free agent and I don't know how likely it is that he hits the open market but we talk about the offseason starting next month is my favorite time David of the offseason because that's free agency and all the moves are being made and that's one guy because Chad, the Broncos have to upgrade their back field.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: may be second most biggest priority behind Wider Saver Kenneth Walker's a free agent, Breeze Hall.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so looking forward David to the moves they're going to make.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, buddy.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_02]: We got Ted Wonderlick in the house.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_02]: Another super star, dear friend, a dear member.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Ted.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: He says Drake, somehow just as unplayable as Jarrett stood a may.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_02]: Lesson, Beau would have probably won a ring.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: Lesson two,
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so here's the thing, Zach, similar to the opportunity presented to Josh Allen and why heads ultimately rolled in Buffalo, you had a shot at a ring without having to buy with Mahomes Lamar or Burrow.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: And the same can be said for the Broncos, Bonix.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: had his shot, unfortunately, can't control it, but he got the injury.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's not always going to be that way.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, more often than not, you're going to see those names I just mentioned, at least vying for the playoffs.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_02]: However, there is a couple things to keep in mind this time around, Zach.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: Not so much in Kansas City, although there are some obstacles they have to overcome.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about here in a minute, but
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: The AFCs have been very much shaken up this year with different coaching carousel, coaching fireings, higherings, and we'll see how it plays out like with the Ravens, for example.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, I'm not that scared anymore of Kansas City.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Zack, like I know last year was just a weird strange anomaly in terms of trying to explain
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: how far of a step back they took.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think it really was more of an outlier nature than it was like, oh, you know, there's something rotten in Denmark or whatever.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think they'll bounce back.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: What we don't know, those act is exactly how well and quickly Patrick Mahomes is going to bounce back from that knee.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think the biggest takeaway there that I agree with Chad is I'm not scared of facing Kansas City anymore, and the most importantly, despite, you know, who hears what we say, it's what the Broncos feel, and they play like they're not scared of Kansas City anymore.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: For almost a decade, they treated Kansas City like an infallible team like this god that cannot be beaten.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: They gave them too much respect, and this year they treated them with disrespect the way they played against them, just full energy, high octane, very aggressive.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, once you slay the beast, the beast isn't the beast anymore.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: The beast is a mere mortal.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what can't do city.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's what Patrick Mahomes and that's what Andy Reed is.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: Good as they were, that's what they are in 2026, mortal.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: And we got to admit Zack that the Broncos under Sean Peyton and it actually began in 2023, let's not forget, even with Russ, it was Sean Peyton 2023 breaking the streak that it dominates unfathomable winning streak they had over the Broncos, but they match up do Sean Peyton's Broncos.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: very, very well with the chiefs.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: Well, because the team was literally built to unseat the cheese from the AFC West.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, what we talk about a freak injury to Bonyx is basically robbed the Broncos at a shot at a ring.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we're not for another freak incident Zach that happened.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: Bonyx would be four and oh against the cheese.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: Four and oh, now granted Zach only two of those were against Mahomes, right?
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: On the road at Kansas
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: last year at home in Denver.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos won that game and it was when the chiefs were still relevant and they were desperate like they could not afford to lose many more games because of how they started this season.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos still got that win.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I still feel relatively comfortable and confident in the division.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: The one thing that you can't really
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: control the variables are kind of forefold what they are in the division is getting that number one seed which comes with the blessings in benefit of first round by home-filled advantage.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: There's a bigger roadblock in the West right now.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's not Kansas City.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's Los Angeles.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's the one bugaboo facing Botanics on the Broncos and Sean Payton is facing a healthy Charger squad anyway with Justin Herbert and speaking of which they just hired Adam Gase today former Broncos that was seed to their offensive staff.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: That should be interesting.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I'm not scared of Kansas City anymore.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos prove they can beat them.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: And also, retaining, you mentioned they have the blueprint to beat the sheets, well, that's Joseph and that defense.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: And first, one thing that VJ has done well in Denver, it's play Kansas City in my home is extremely well.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_01]: So keeping VJ as a defensive coordinator will only help in that regard.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: Not only that, but most of your key pieces on defense are coming back their under contract.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: As we continue to kind of march through the off season, we'll start and actually, I mean, you think about how quickly time flies, right?
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like how quickly the calendar turned over to 2026 and we're already a week and a half into February.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: In other words, the newly gear that opens, I think, Zach, it's March 11th or 10th.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: is a month away and it's going to be here quick.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: My point on that is the Broncos do have a few decisions to make on defense.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_02]: They got to decide which of their two inside linebackers.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to bring back.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's always a chance they try to bring both back, but Justin Sternad is not willing apparently to accept the backup job.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: And if he has offers out there that are guaranteed him a starting job, he'll probably take those over the Broncos, but
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: You wrote about it today, Zach.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's looking like John Franklin Myers.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: Indeed, it's probably gone though.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: But even if he's gone, Zach, and even if you only bring back Alex single tune at linebacker, this defense, the bones of it are still in place for 2026 relative to your point about B. J. and the chiefs.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: I got to be honest, of that group, the only one that I want to sign to a long-term deal and really bring back for the future is Jake Juan McMillian, the RFA slot corner back.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm letting Singleton walk, I'm letting Sternad walk, and I'm trying to upgrade that position, maybe with someone like Devon Lloyd on the open market, but
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're right about the pieces being left in place and you also were right to bring up JFM who's projected to get like a 50 million dollar deal over four years on the open market I really wish the Broncos could end up retaining him.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: I know they have Walmart money and this and that, but they can't pay everyone They've paid other defenders and he's going to be be so good for another team.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: He deserves his bag.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a shame that his time and Denver chat is likely up now Sam Bamp, thank you big dog.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's so good to see you again
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: be checking the mail for your amount rush more care package.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: Sam, thank you pal for being a dear member as well.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: So even in guys, the off season is now officially upon us, glad the fluke Patriots didn't win yesterday.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think the biggest question marks are for the Broncos, going into this off season?
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: Super Bowl 61 will be ours, go Broncos.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: Well,
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, I'm really excited for Bonix.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna be a man on a mission out to try and make up for lost time.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna be so pissed.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna play I think Zack on a different level, but that's not what he's asking.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest question marks for me.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_02]: I know where we've been really focused is that on why receiver one and building that nest around bow and that remains a thing, but part of building that nest is, crying out loud, you got to get a run game.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: See, I'll show you that at least, right?
- 14:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yesterday, I mean, kind of walker, as you mentioned, hitting free agency, let's go get that guy, man, if you can.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: But the Broncos one way or another, Zach,
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they have the personnel pieces in place up front.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: They've still kind of lacked the right pieces in the backfield.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: That has to get answered this offseason.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: And JK Dobbins, by the way, could be part of that answer.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: You can't rely on him to be the answer.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, you mentioned one question mark already, which is who are the Broncos going to resign among their own free agents.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: You mentioned a few of them already.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that's number one.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: Number two, they have a few positional coaches chat, a few openings on the coaching staff that have yet to be filled.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to see who they hire and bring in to bring a board there.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: And also, it's not just who are we getting to help out Bonix?
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: how many receivers and running backs are regaining end tight ends to help elbow nicks because Sam and thank you so much for your super.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: That is the number one objective this off season.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_01]: We could talk about resigning singleton and bring a back JFM.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: The number one goal is helping out bone nicks.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: So Chad hit on it.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just echo what he said there.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about it.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: Sam, it's so good to see you and look, you know, there are also issues to be decided on defense for the most part, even if JFM leaves, I feel pretty good about how things are set up on the D line although.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: Amen.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: How you, it's not easy to manufacture individual levels, 7 sacs, plus per season from an interior rusher.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why I'm like, why are we just acting like John Franklin Myers is as good as gone?
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Why did the Broncos not even approach him during the buy when they, when they extend it all those guys?
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: And why is he just being, I don't understand it.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: It must be something.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: Is it as attitude as it thinks he said I don't know.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: I have no idea.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: This is me completely speculating, but that is something that I don't think Malcolm Roach Stepson as a starter and all the sudden gives you seven eight sacks.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that something who has a re-gay does maybe a sum of its parts type of thing.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: Saviour Jones at some point, probably, but I don't expect to see that Zack in his second year.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: So that's another question for me.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: And then look inside linebacker.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: I hope they're not betting the Broncos on some kind of miraculous Drew Sanders stays healthy in a contract year.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: development as one of the pieces to rely on next to drag green loss.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it ends up Zack being Alex Singleton comes back on a two-year deal, front loaded with basically year ones guaranteed.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: He'll get to the opportunity anyway to play out what remains of his career in Denver, I think, Sternab walks, but you still need to find some upgrades and some replenish
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: I still think there might be something there with your sanders, Jordan Turner, Karine Reed.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, none of these guys do I view those act as like future long term guy next to drag green law.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when it comes to GFM, the only thing we can go on are assumptions, and I'll make mine.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with you.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's his attitude, Chad, because he's been very vocal publicly on Twitter and social media about wanting a long-term extension in Denver.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I can only imagine privately what he's floating to the team, his demands, and what he thinks of himself.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: And listen, he's a guy who talks to a big game, and then goes on the field and backs it up.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: Those kind of guys have a very high net worth of themselves, so you can't pay everyone
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: He understands that.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's been a good team player.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: He deserves a bag.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: He deserves a big payday.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_01]: He'll get it.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: I just wish it could be in Denver.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's a tremendous player.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_02]: Raj, we're going to get you a question about Bow's injury here in just a moment.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: First, we got to grab Michaela Parker, the Duchess.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: You don't even have the top rope.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I love them.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: I love the optimistic messaging.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: She is signaling Zach just through her profile
- 18:09[SPEAKER_02]: you know, ready to rock and roll.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I love you, Michaela.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's great to see you.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: She says, watching this Super Bowl yesterday was thinking the whole time we should have been there.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think everyone's at outside of the greater Boston area was thinking that as well.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: Love you, Michaela.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: Even Broncos players were, if you follow enough of them on social media, Alex Singleton said today sucks, but it's motivation.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: You had, I think it was Jake Wong, or no, PJ Locke who said, Crimey River damn right, it sucks that we're not here right now.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: It was tough to watch for anyone, and that's why I know I said it before a few times already.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: I was so emotionally detached from yesterday's game, but thank you for that big super Michaela.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: And our time is coming.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: I promise you, our time is soon.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you, Bo doesn't get hurt.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, whatever these rumors are about, oh, he heard his ankle celebrating in the locker room, it's not true.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: You could see where it happened.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: We know the play, third to last play of the game.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: You could see him on in pain on the sideline.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: You could see him in pain when he's given that midfield interview to Tracy Wolffson when she asked him about the AFC title game and the rare opportunity to host it as the Broncos.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: that moment of just like anxiety and anguish.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't know where that's coming from, but guys, there's no truth to it.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: But look, Zach, if let's just pretend bonus.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: does not hurt his ankle.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: You come off that high and remember how high we were for 45 minutes that list following that bill's game.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: We're going, oh my gosh, we are host in the absy championship game.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: We are riding high and one of the best quarterbacks in the game in the desperate shootout which that game was goes to overtime.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: We're just like, yeah.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: Well, imagine the high stays, Bo doesn't get hurt.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: The Patriot show up.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: We know the second half, the weather wasn't going to be what the weather was going to be.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: At the very least, Zach, Bonax hits that play over the top early to Marvin Mims score a player two later with the Cortland Sutton.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then that fourth and one, maybe it's a different play.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: But let's just say it shakes out that way.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's incomplete.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's fine.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: You missed out on the field goal.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's the turning point of that game wasn't a snow.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_02]: The turning point was Jarrett Stittham's utter ridiculously stupid turnover.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: The gifted the Patriots, they're only touched down to the game.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: Bo doesn't do that.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: Bo does not turn the ball over.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: He might throw a pick here in there, Zach, but he sure as hell does not fumble.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's botanized as not fumble.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: So that, I'm getting to a point here real quick, that would have been different.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos at worst would have been 10-3 going into the half.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: Even if they were unable to, let's say, will let's still Zach misses as two field goals, whatever.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: And it finishes, it would have been 10-3 Broncos win the game, move to the AFC Championship game.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: 10-3 because of the snow mind, you know, because New England is some out of control, wicked defense, the snow in the second half.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then you get to the Super Bowl, oh my gosh, I could see Bonyx trading, if not better,
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: with sand darnled and it kind of looks like that maybe a little bit boring as far as a Super Bowl to the greater wider audience.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: You get to the fourth quarter though, that Broncos defense finds a way to pop the ball out or get the ball back.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: Give's bowl one last chance.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: I can see it right now.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like we saw how it shook out.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: One of the reasons last thing and I'm serving it back to you.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry for being long-winded on this but one of the things we saw
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think in Drake may was that, yes, he had won three playoff games to get to the Super Bowl, but the Patriots' Schedules Act was so easy.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: He was relatively untested in the crucible of oh-shiz kind of moments, whereas bone nicks at this point, man, the calluses there.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: That would have been nothing to him.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: That last point is probably the best point there, Chad, because it's extremely true.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I could just add on to what you were saying.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you mentioned the things that Bonaix does or what have done differently.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: One thing Bonaix did last season was win with the ball in his hands in the fourth quarter.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: And what no one talks about is the fourth quarter of the AFC title game.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: In the fact that Jared, Sidham Chad, had multiple drives, multiple chances with the ball in his hands down the field.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: To drive the Brock was down the field to either tie the game or take the lead.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: I
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: Garen damn to you.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: If that was Bonax under center, they would have taken the lead in the fourth quarter if the situation played out the same.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's no question at all.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the people that doubt whether they would have made it with Bonax have a serious bonus agenda.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'll leave it at that.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well said, my brother, Michaela, love you so much.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the support.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a long off season.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos fans, I'm telling you, as someone, Zack and I, we kind of have our finger on the pulse of Broncos country because not only this show, but
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: We have some really big social media accounts, and we can see things as kind of unfolding in real time.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: And similar to last year's act, I think a good chunk of Broncos fans went, when Bow went down, and then we got bounce.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going, all right, I got to take a break from the Broncos for a little while.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: And in most seasons, that break is maybe a week, two weeks, in terms of the offseason, kind of.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: Get that out of our system.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: Let's focus on the future and what we can do to better this thing and all that.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: This time, I think it's going to be another kind of slog of an off-season where it feels like it takes forever because
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: we're not living on what could be in terms, like, sack, think about how long we went, just going, like we were living in the off season because all of our dreams and all of the things that couldn't maybe be, by the time you got to the football season two weeks in, the riding was on the wall, it ain't happening.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: So now that we know that's not the case, man, it just feels like it takes even longer.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: Longwind, it's a longwinded way of saying Michaela that this support, we really appreciate you.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: And this, this offseason we could really use it.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you, my friend.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: I want to grab this from our dear member, Raj, the string guys saying Chatter's Act.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand the medicals on Nixon's ankle injury.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: is this a recurring injury issue which bone in his ankle did he break and how many times in the past has he broken his ankle and that was that I'm going to let you answer this because when all the stuff with Peyton Tuesday that Tuesday after the title game and then bow calling his own presser and all that stuff I was traveling I was Tommy boy road trip and it was Scott then I was at the senior ball I wasn't as present for that stuff that I might normally be so what are your
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: I think all of his conversations, it's funny they tiptoe on the edge of violating HIPAA, but that's what this scuttle but was about, Bo, based on his history, he did have a few ankle injuries.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have the webpage pulled up the exact number, but I know he did have a history of ankle injuries dating back to, I believe it was high school, definitely in college.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: And Sean Pate made a comment basically that the surgeon told him that he was predisposed to those ankle fractures to the points where it was an inevitability.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: It was a matter of when he was going to fracture the ankle and not if he was going to fracture the ankle in the NFL with the Broncos.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact that he did in the divisional round was basically, they were like, okay, well, we expected that.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe Chad, if you pulled up, you have a more accurate answer, specifically, how many times he heard it.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: But I know it was very out of the ordinary for that press conference, which you talked about.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: You brought that up to pop up out of nowhere.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Bo and Nick's wasn't scheduled to talk.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: It was a locker room clean out day and he met with reporters via zoom.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: He was coming off the injury.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't have to talk, but he wanted to set the record straight.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: He needed to set the record straight and push back on Sean Payton saying, he shouldn't have said that.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: That basically, Sean Payton was completely wrong and I'll be good.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: He narrowed down the timeline for return to a matter of weeks.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: He'll be good to go for the offseason program.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: He basically, there was a lot of doom and gloom that Sean Payton put out there in
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's where we stand right now.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: So Boneyx, first of all, Sean Payton, you guys remember when he came back that night, had his original press conference after the Bill's game disappeared for 15 minutes and then came back with the bad news.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: During that little disappear he went back to his office was shown the x-rays was told bows done for the what remains of this season walks out of his office looks down the hall bows at the end in the corner still suited up surrounded by his family in the quarter backs and and Davis web and so Sean Peyton goes down there and he recounts the story says that down by him you know I'm trying to console him this and that and he says to me I'm Sean Peyton he says you know this is my
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: I had one in high school, I had one in college at Auburn.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: And now this one, and members Sean Payton, kind of some gallows humor is like, well, if I had a known ad, I wouldn't have drafted you.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: And then I thought it would kind of, that would be that.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then he said, what he did Tuesday, his end of season press conference, as you just did a good job, Zach, illustrating that Botanix,
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: said they got their wires crossed.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: There was no pre-existing condition.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: Other than yes, he had broken his yet ankle injuries before, and that if you want to hear what Greg Penner said about it immediately after the season, later that same day, he said, quote, I have zero concern about his ankle injury.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: His surgery was a straightforward surgery that went very well.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely no issues
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: there, or concerns going forward and then he went on to extoll, how great of a job boat did in year two, and especially as a fourth quarter guy.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: So that's that.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's that.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: Bonyx corrected the record.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: I was at Wednesday that he called the virtual presser's accurate.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: Later to his account, remember, because again, I was traveling, but he says take it from boat.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: Both says no, there was no pre-existing thing that made this a matter of course.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: And that's where
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: is kind of being perceived that because not only is he saying no Sean was wrong or that
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: he misunderstood perhaps what was being told to him about the ankle, but that also he shouldn't he bone next literally said he shouldn't have said that.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: So that kind of, oh, there's some problem brewing between head coaching quarterback, but I'm not, I mean, look, it's not ideals act to have to even have this as a topic because otherwise the Broncos would be in the Super Bowl,
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: owner, GM head coach, and now Bose saying, I'll be good to go for the future.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what I love about, Bo.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's so surprising that he actually called the presser because he's not afraid to push back on Sean Payton when he thinks it's deserved.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: He did it on the sideline.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: He screamed back at him when Sean Payton got on him.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about this before, but it had to have been fairly egregious, Chad.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: I tend to believe Bo Knicks because why else would he do that and go out of his way while he's recovering from an injury,
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: after a heartbreak into his season.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to call a virtual press conference to set the record straight.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: I happen to believe Bonix here.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: And it's only being brought up right now and talked about because there's nothing else going on.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we're going to hear about until May or until whatever Bonix gets back in April.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: But once he does and when he proves that it's overblown, we won't hear about it again.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I cannot wait for that day.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: All right, we got Ralph Brace girl checking in.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, Ralph?
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: My pre-C says question for you is Drew Locke, the first drafted Broncos quarterback to get a ring.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: No, there's like seven guys who have gone on to get rings as backup quarterbacks with other teams.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: Let me try something, hold on, how many, hold on.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on, Jeff, did that, hold on, hold on.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I'll give you the answer right now because we, I'm not sure all six of them besides Drew lock, but let's see, did, did, did, did, did.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: Bro, no, no, no, no, no, Drew lock.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: Trevor, no, that doesn't count.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: Tommy Maddox got a ring elsewhere with his
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: John Huffnagle.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: So there you go.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_02]: But it is cool to see him get one Zach.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm happy for Drew Locke to get a little extra bling.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's kind of had a rough go of it in the league.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: So little success.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: You feel like I fell a little bit awkward for Drew watching him post game and trying to kind of celebrate with Sam Darnell and Clint Kubiak, but hey man, treasure it Drew.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: He was very respectful, and they'll lead up to the game talking about his time with the Broncos.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, I still have love for them.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'll always have love for them.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: He could have easily been bitter chat about the divorce from Denver, and he wasn't.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I find it interesting now.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: He has the same amount of rings as Russell Wilson.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no doubt.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: Ralph also says, Jean William had probably the only McMillian jersey at the MHH Meetup, L-O-L and Pat Bryant signed at that school.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely the only one who came to the meet and greet wearing a McMillian jersey.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a couple when I was in the stadium, but definitely the only guy I saw with went on at the MHH Party, so to speak.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's definitely how I remember it as well.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Taylor Christensen, a dear member.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: a superstar jumping into say, Sean Peyton proved New England did not deserve it.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone including, is that what he's saying?
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Peyton, everyone including New England fans, know it, should we move on from J.S.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: after his AFC that it performance, I think, Justin Sternad, I think
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: Eric Trickle's very first mock draft of the 2026 season.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: So it was the post senior bull and shrine bull mock draft.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: He had, I'm trying to remember, I'll pull it up.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: He had the Texas kid, what's his name?
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: He had Anthony Hill for the Broncos in round one.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it would depend on what they do in free agency.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: Before we talk about the draft, if they address those needs, why do receiver running back this and that?
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: And free agency, they can pretty much go BPA in the draft.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: And if there's one defensive area, I do want them to prioritize and run one.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: It would be middle line back or Taylor.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: You got to stop throwing so many acronyms and abbreviations at us.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was Jared Stinham, but yeah, if you're talking about Strenot, I absolutely agree.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: I would move on from Singleton too, and I know there's a rumor out there about the Broncos moving on from Greenlaw.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think they do bring him back, but I'm looking to upgrade the spot next to him.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's only for a reliable fruit-down player, because everyone they have and that spot is unreliable, including Dreg Greenlaw.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_02]: It kind of does make more sense in the context of his point that he would be talking about Jared Stinham.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: But then he ties it up at the end with middle linebacker.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: So you go, okay, sternat.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, yeah, New England, they just got lucky, dude.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: They got lucky that Bonyx injured his ankle or else.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: We all know it would have been the Broncos.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you big dog, really good to see you.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: We also have check it in here.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: Shannon Mills, another legendary mythical Mount Rushmore superstar.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_02]: We love you.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you Shannon.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: She says good evening.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: Last night's game was tough to watch.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos would have made that game so much more competitive for sure.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: In a positive note, the Broncos will most likely have more weapons for the next Super Bowl Go Broncos.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Zach, one of those weapons, it appears potential weapons that is is off the board in George Pickins, likely being according to Adam Shepter franchise tag by the Cowboys.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, well, that takes him off the board.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, you got that minority vocal minority that goes, well, wait a minute, couldn't they do a tag and trade?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, well, it's possible.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: Very unlikely.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: Do you see that?
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: How feasible do you see a tag and trade?
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: not feasible at all when there's other routes the broccas can go to acquire wide receiver health.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad at least it takes I would have wouldn't have minded pick in from a talent perspective, but there are the attitude concerns, character concerns, and now the broccas won't have to worry about that.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: Shannon, I want to address your point really quickly, but Taylor was talking about Stitham.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think just to put a bow on that, they move on from Stitham.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's a good backup to have, but you can't force him to a starting roll with the lack of help that
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, you're going to have to prioritize every route, whether trade, for agency, the draft to help out bonyx at receiver.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at other players like maybe Garrett Wilson, call Minnesota about Jefferson, you never know.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone that could be available at Lanna for Drake.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: New Orleans, for Chris O'Lave, whatever receiver that you think could be available, Jalen, Waterland Miami, I am picking up the phone because bonyx deserves it and you have to go out and get them.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Shannon.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, they've done a good job of building the trenches around Bonix now.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: They got a build that actual nest and I mean, I think again, I don't want to go on another Marvin Mims tangent too much here, but I think a lot of the problems that people perceive as, you know, the missing elements in this passing offense, man, Marvin Mims could offer you a lot of that stuff, dude, like look at what he did again against Buffalo, what he did against
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: He obviously Zach was overwhelmed by the moment and that was exacerbated by the weather in the second half.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he looked pretty decent initially while the Broncos were still on their first 15 right that structured first 15 to 20 plays that they game plan and lock in like this is what's being called to open the game once they got outside of that.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: he looked skittish beyond all skittish and then of course the snow really muddied that water but he still looked how many quarterbacks in the history of the NFL have been asked on that short of notice to start a game of that magnitude like you can count them on one hand.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: It happens so rarely, it's not a sage.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, people talked about Zack.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the last one to do it, who made his first start of the season in the conference championship game was Roger Stowbach going way back, whatever that was, sometime in the 70s and it's like, yeah, we didn't really want to mention it.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: But by the way, they lost that game, did the Cowboys.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like,
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: So it's tough, man, and it's not just because of the enormities act of the game, but also because the opponent, if you're in the conference championship game, odds are that opponent that you're drawn, even though they're whether you're on the road or at home, they're probably pretty dang good with a pretty dang good defense.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I think Jared Stedham is a great backup.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: If you need them Zach for more than a couple two three games though, watch out.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately up to this point, it's never been more than that.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: And not to exonerate him by any means because he did not play a good game except for one pass.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: But what plagued him were the same things that plagued Bonyx and would have plagued Bonyx if he were to have started that game.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: And what I mean by that was the lack of a running game, the lack of reliable receivers chat and also his head coach and play caller, galaxy braiding and overthinking the situation.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think by any means his teammates or the coaching staff did sit in many favors
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: either.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: Shannon, so stoked for this offseason because yeah, they got the resources.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: Bob Morris has done a good job of laying out at the website at myhotel.com.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the paths that the Broncos can take to free up even more cap space.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: And that's without having to cut anybody too, by the way.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully you guys are staying up on that because as it stands, even with the expected increase
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos have roughly 29 million in cap space, and even if that's all they end up having, that's more than enough for them to go out and get down, especially exact with them having a full complement of draft picks.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: They can build that nest, but Shannon, love you and appreciate.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: Taylor Christianson with the second super says it's early, but Broncos have the 12th best odds
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah that seems that seems a little low to me.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know where you're sourcing that like what sports book or who's who's odds you're citing there specifically Taylor but Broncos should be in my opinion Zack somewhere in the top six in terms of Super Bowl logs like again it took a freak injury for them to not be in the Super Bowl and we know if they would have been in the Super Bowl dude it would have at least been competitive they could have wanted as easily as the
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: So what I mentioned, ESPN's ranking is putting the Broncos fourth, they're behind the Seahawks.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: I get that, they won the Super Bowl, but also the Patriots and the Rams.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: You could definitely argue, they shouldn't be behind the Patriots with, we talk about healthy bone nicks, the Broncos win that game.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_01]: But then you go to a different source, Fox News, or excuse me, Fox Sports has the Broncos as the number one team in their power ranking.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just, it varies depending on where you look tailor, but that's the underdog mentality, let them hate,
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: place them 12 right now.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: Let the odds be low because they're going to make believers, bow leavers, and a lot of people once again.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: We got the adventures sold just checking in another deer member and super star great to see your buddy.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: He says, what's up M. H. H. I'm Broncos country.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so glad the super snooze fest is done.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to hear news in the coming months.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think Denver would have done better in the Super Bowl, obviously.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry if the sentiment is repeated.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think look for now while the Super Bowl is still fresh.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's with everybody inside of Broncos countries right to feel that way and to express those those kind of thoughts because it's freaking true.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now, can you put the toothpaste back in the tube?
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: That ship sailed with the botanics is broken ankle.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: There's no getting it back, but boy, boy, did that Super Bowl make it clear that, man, Zach, remember after the Buffalo
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, destiny still awaits bro.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you that destiny still awaits.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry to cut you off.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: I was just going to say I'll never forget the roller coaster of emotions chat in that second, you know, finding out the fact that bonus fractured is ankle, but at this point, I feel like we've.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: been therapeutic about it for a long enough and it's some pulling and this goes for myself more than anybody else.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to have to turn the page and focus on 2026.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: But adventure, I agree with every point you made there, I was not looking forward to the Super Bowl.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad it's done.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: It was a lose lose.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very excited for the draft and for agency and all that.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos definitely would have done better than what the Patriots would have and it's not repeated too much because I'm saying it but I think now with 2026 the offseason starting we need to focus on what's ahead because what's ahead is bigger and better.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well said, thank you, Adventures Soldiers.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: So good to see Lawrence shout out on Facebook.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: He says, what's up, guys?
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: CSU Rams had some players playing for Seattle yesterday.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: Indy, no doubt about it.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: And some former Broncos and some CU players, indeed.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Lawrence, for pointing that out, big dog.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see, Ralph says, as an EMT medical professionals cannot share information, if general public has knowledge, there are no hip avialations.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think there are restrictions on what employers can share.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: Now, within the scope's act of public figures and professional sports, I don't know how that kind of colors the math there, but interesting point.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Big Dog.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: Arleigh Tucker says, Bo is tough.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: He played with crack ribs last year, looking forward to many years and a couple of them bodies with bow, go Broncos.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's the AFC Zack is even though it was the NFC that won the Super Bowl this year.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: The AFC is so much more fraught with peril.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's so much harder to get to the top of the mountain through the AFC as a conference.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: All the pieces are there, Sean Payton's back.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, this web is back.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: Vance Joseph is back.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the three most important coaches and they're all coming back.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_02]: Bo, next will be back.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: We've already talked about the defensive guys.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: We've talked about the offense.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: This team just needs to make a few tweaks, and I honestly think Zack, even if you've left.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: the wide receiver core pretty much as is.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: And just change the packing order a little bit and said, hey, Portland Sutton Marvin men.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the two guys that are always on the field.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: And then you know, pick take your pick.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant, even if you left the wide receivers my point here intact as is and didn't make much changes to the room, you got to get a better ground game than what you had last year.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: And even though you had a good one from JK was healthy,
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: You can't rely on him.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: He could be part of the picture coming back, but he can't be the guy.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: Eric was like, hey man, re-sign him, but let him know he's the third guy.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'd go that far.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: I would just say, hey, we're signing you.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to have an opportunity to be the number one and compete for that.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: But you're not just the set and forget number one guy as you were last year.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we could talk about how good of a coach on Peyton is, and he is, but this team will always just go as far as the quarterback takes them.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos finally have their franchise quarterback.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: And as long as Bownik stays healthy, they are going to be competitive.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: I am not more bearish on the Broncos.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: I am not less bullish on the Broncos going forward with Bownik's injury.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, I am more bullish on the Broncos going forward.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I still hold true to myself that they will get at least one ring with Bownik's
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think back to the call on the couch, dude.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you want to win a Super Bowl, you know?
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think it's going to happen.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to happen, guys.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: Dutch is jumping in again, love you.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: You make me feel it.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: She says, uh, I think she's saying in Joker, right?
- 45:03[SPEAKER_02]: Is what she's probably saying here, like, being a free agent and not wanting to go back to the Browns should be aggressive and go get him.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: What a world where darn old when, darn old wins a Super Bowl before,
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Lamar, exactly, Joe Burrow, that is crazy, man.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm happy for him, though.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I love the redemption arc.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: I love the redemption story.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: I love that, even though I'm not a USC guy, I love statistical firsts and him being the first USC quarterback to make good in the Super Bowl.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: And all that stuff, I'm happy for him.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just glad it wasn't the Patriots, like Garibull said at the Pro Bulls Act.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't just say I'm rooting for the Z-Hawksies that I want the Patriots to lose.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: So, at least that shook out the way it should have.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: Darnal got a ring before Josh Allen too, which is crazy man.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: This business is absolutely nuts, but Michaela brings up a good point.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: There's breaking news.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: It was about, you know, 58 minutes ago for Madam Shepher is that Nejoka will not return to the Browns in 2026.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_01]: So absolutely, I've been a big fan of his, even coming out of college, she's coming out of Miami.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's been a playmaker,
- 46:16[SPEAKER_01]: throughout.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's also a good inline blocker.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's a better version to me and a more productive version of Evan Ingraham.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: I would absolutely look to bring him in.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't break the bank by any means, but he would fit a Sean Peyton offense very well.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Michaela, for the second super.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: According to
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: David and Joku announced that he plans to sign elsewhere this free agent season leaving the Browns with 24.3 million of dead cap on his way out with a void year.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's what that is.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: Cleveland will treat him as a post-une first release taking on dead cap hits of 9.5 million this year.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: 14.8 million next year.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's not anyone's problem who signs him as a free agent by the way.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: So go get him Broncos like Eric today by the way drop to excellent article 10 tight ends To for the Broncos the top 10 tight ends to watch in this draft and there's a couple guys in there that are interesting of course there's only one top 50 guy as it currently stands
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: And that's Kenyan Sadik from Oregon, who Zach draws a lot of comparisons to in Joku.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you remember the Monday night game in 2024, uh, the, I think that was the Marvin Mims game.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Joku killed the Broncos when James Winston started.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think he had two touchdowns.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was a legit threat that game.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_01]: So the Broncos saw him up close and personal.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: I would absolutely look to bring him in.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: I've been saying that for at least a year.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what was that?
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: That was week 13.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, yes, let's just revisit a real quicks and some there.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: Good memory, dude.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_02]: 97 team targets.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: They have no one on nine catches.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_02]: 52 yards, two touchdowns.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm sorry, Jimmy.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: Good job.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: Love you, Michaela.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for your support tonight, my friend.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: Byron Lewis, check it in.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, pal.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: And he says the Super Bowl was a joke.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: True that.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos should have been there.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: We need a stud receiver and inside linebacker to get back to the dance for sure.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_02]: I will miss John Franklin Myers on the D-Lines Act.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Me too.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Me too.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's a tremendous player.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: I've really enjoyed watching and play because again,
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: He might talk a big game.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_01]: He might put out some trash, talk on Twitter, and mix it up with fans.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: He might have a few attitude concerns that he's not 100% an angel, but he backs it up on the field.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: He set a career high in sexist past season.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: When I wrote about him, I realized that once again, he was also productive across the board, tackles for loss and pressures and solo tackles.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: Just again, a very, very talented player, a fun player to watch.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: I wish we talked about
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: not in this one more than likely.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: Byron jumps in again, second super chat, you to manbro.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: Says, I'll be ready to go, quote, I'll be ready to go if I need to be.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_02]: I have no doubts that I'm a starting caliber quarterback.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_02]: That was what Jared Stitham said when he lost the competition to Bonax in the summer, late summer of 2024.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then Byron goes on to say, yeah, Stitham with his middle school chess bets.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, again, guys, like, I'm with you that he was obviously not only not good enough, but if you point to anyone player, he was as complicit in that loss to the Patriots, is anyone guy because of the two turnovers.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_02]: The one at the end, all right, fine, you are trying to make something happen.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have any chances left.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_02]: You're holding up whatever.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: the two-handed fumble those act that's the one that I just don't understand how the Sam Hill he allowed that to happen and there were a lot of close calls like that by the way where he's just like holding on to it way too long patiers almost got to him in similar situations several other times
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: But I do have some sympathy for him.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_02]: It was a tough ask to get ready for a situation of that and a proponents act defense wise of that magnitude on a week's time.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough, dude.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I like him as a backup.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: Bone Nick Stubs his toe and he's out of week.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm good with Jared Stitham in the regular season.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_02]: Please, God, please, football gods.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: Don't ever put this team in a situation again.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: where you must rely on lean on Jared Stitham in any playoff game, at least evolve and let alone a conference championship.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, at least let it be a regular season game.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: Not the freaking AFC title game.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I think Chad, you did a good job earlier, answering your own question as to why it happened the way it happened.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was playing to tight.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about that with Bowenix at times.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_01]: He was pressing too much.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: He was coming in basically cold after the entire season of being the backup.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: He had just a couple snaps to his name.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was a huge moment.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_01]: The weather was inclement in the second half.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: There was a ton of things working against him.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I also mentioned the lack of help that he had.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: But there really is no excuse by or an ever and any game in any circumstance for a two-handed fumble, a push fumble.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, Jared.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was having some laughs about that yesterday on the couch with watching the game.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: And sorry, guys, we didn't end up streaming last night with the Broncos being out of it and stuff where just like, you know what, let's just end the game going so late.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: Really, I will just wait
- 51:54[SPEAKER_02]: of course 100% Bronco fans in the room and everyone expressing the same sentiments like man, seeing this from this Patriots like Broncos should be if the Broncos were in this game.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: It phoenix was Ellie not only they'd be in this game and they not only be in this game.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: They'd be like this would be a game not this news fest that it was and I I said I made a comment like yeah, it's like my my part Zach says, you know, about Jared stood him in the two handed fumble and everybody's laughing because
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: Does it, does it paper over those that were he more play because that wasn't the visual round in that game, which which is worse, Chad, in our hearts.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's tough one.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: Toss up.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: That is tough, but I got to go with Raheem because that situation, the game was on the line, right?
- 52:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like,
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: there's there's the truth there's there's the who was a toady Carter sticky man truth there's out there who say happened because a sticky man by the way and don't blame or he more and sticky man was the corner in coverage and that of that of the but I still think in terms of bearing the individual responsibility of a loss.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's probably more of a case on Raheem more because even though Jared Stitham's that I've had the two-handed fumble that gifted the Patriots attached down, they still had two quarters to try and make up for it.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mentioned earlier that we have to turn the page and get over the game.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: That day is not going to be today though because when you think about a chat right now, we could have been talking about the Broncos as Super Bowl champions and you can make the argument we should have been talking about the Broncos.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to sting for a while.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: a Robert on Facebook.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you palaces.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: Hi guys.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: Not the first time, but long time.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for all the hard work you guys always put in.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: Thank God bless you and yours.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, pal.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_02]: Right back at you.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: Let's grab a couple member comments slash questions.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: See what's on everyone else's mind here too.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like Jordan Lewis saying, I'm just excited for the offseason big moves that running back on
- 54:13[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos brass are seen at the same way.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, again, would I be completely shocked if the wide receiver room goes relatively untouched?
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_02]: I would, however, be extremely taken aback if they do nothing at running back.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just feel like it's different this year.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: I know the fan base has PTSD from last year when the Broncos set on their hands, especially at the trade deadline and the George Peyton Sean Peyton famously said we're good with who we have at wide receiver, including a little Jordan Humphrey and Elijah Moore and they have she title again.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: Again, we're not over the the last yet, but they absolutely need to upgrade the supporting cast both the floor and the ceilings of both of those rooms.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: I am bringing like you talk about chat.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm signing resigning JK Domets.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm bringing in Bree's Hall and I'm drafting a running back in the middle rounds and I'm obviously retaining Harvey and the incumbents lend them all go to battle.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: They cannot get enough help and weaponry for bone next to solve season.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's number one on the objective list.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_02]: Pearl jumping in a deer member by the way, Pearl, you got to send us a pick of the jersey that you got finally arrived glad to see that and thanks for keeping me in the loop on that, but she says I admit I did not watch the Super Bowl for the first time in 20 years.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, I watched the Olympics.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: I just did not like either team.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, it was hard to sell that Super Bowl, hard to sell, no doubt about it, good to see a Williams in the house saying, I agree with Zach on Singleton and Sternad.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: Love the guys, but they're just not good enough.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: We have to upgrade.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_02]: And Zach, there's going to be some options out there in free agency and just generally speed the draft.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: But you had an interesting article,
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: Was it yesterday or the day before about the Eagles guy that might have some interest landing in Denver?
- 56:05[SPEAKER_02]: Wasn't the eagle.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was he's a eagle for no coping.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_01]: He did say that he'd be open for sure to joining the Broncos if he hits the open market, but he also made a clear that his number one preference would be to remain with the Eagles.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_01]: Chad, the Broncos basically, if they have to aim down in the sense of not getting a name player, but finding a player that's going to stay healthy for the entire season, that's what they need objective number one because they've had so much turnover and that part of the field of that position, they just need reliability at this point.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_02]: Keith the dear member says Drake may be LOL.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_02]: This just shows we would have beat the the puntriots with bonyx and JK albums.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_02]: JK would have been back for the Super Bowl.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_02]: That is, right?
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like Mike Thompson a dear member.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_02]: One, nobody can convince me Denver doesn't win that Super Bowl with Bowen Dobbins.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_02]: Two, Denver being 12th in the Vegas odds for 27 is mind numbing.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: It does not compute, does not make sense, does not add up.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_02]: Well said, let me see here.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_02]: We have mailman Austin Dorf.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_02]: Jumping in, good to see you pal, dear member and superstar, who we got to hang out with at the meet and greet.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: That was awesome.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just got home from work.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_02]: Jumped in to say, hi, I'll listen later.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_02]: I may change for life.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome to have both of you four nights a week.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_02]: Now, yes, indeed, we're stoked to be back on the rotation Wednesday nights.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_02]: Byron Lewis, jumping in with a third super jet, bro, going off tonight.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_02]: Please get rid of Tyler Bade, matter of fact, can we get rid of all these cats that can't stay healthy and or are just waiting to get elevated for a check?
- 57:58[SPEAKER_02]: No more Caleb loan her projects.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Tyler Bade, Zach is a free agent.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to remember now, if taught my head is he restricted or exclusive rights, but I think it's pretty safe to say he comes back.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: Will he make the roster again?
- 58:13[SPEAKER_02]: Not sure.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with Byron.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm waving by by to Tyler Battie, Biday, whatever.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a knowing chat ever since the whole name fiasco with him, but a player that his stock has fallen dramatically in Baracko's country after in 2024 after the jet game that he got injured and I think it was.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: uh... there was talk about him in twenty five being a real contributor to the backfield and every time it seems and i talked about this throughout the season on here and on kk seemed like every time he was involved with a play the play went backward or the play was unproductive it's just it never jive with his skill set so i agree by her and get rid of the day if he's a rf or whatever i wouldn't even tender him upgrade like i said the floor and ceiling of the backfield
- 58:58[SPEAKER_02]: I, uh, outside of his, I thought he made a few plays, uh, in, as a past catcher, but as a, as a, a ball carrier, he was almost useless in 2025.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: He is, by the way, officially an exclusive rights free agent, which means he will get tendered and brought back into compete.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_02]: Whether he sticks again remains to be seen we have the lady D jumping in off the top of the well tonight Great to see you Diana in case you missed it at the top of the show all of the
- 59:32[SPEAKER_02]: Mount Rushmore care packages were shipped.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: You guys should be seeing them here in the next couple days or so.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: So let us know when you get those.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: She says evening chat and Zach's did them never plays.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_02]: So we can't act surprised with the outcome.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: The Super Bowl was a joke looking forward to getting some beef on the offensive line and some depth.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_02]: Super Bowl 61 champs, go Broncos, M.H.H.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_02]: for life.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I mean, Zach, do you expect to see any meaningful changes
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_02]: We're about out of time here, by the way, guys.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just realizing, boy, time flies.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_02]: But do you expect to see changes or just some depth added to the O line?
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, they're going to probably leave well enough alone.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe something happens with Ben Powers is contract.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I, I think you're going to see them run it back with the same five.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: Although, Deanna, like I've been saying, and I agree with you, we're kind of in the minority here, but I'm bringing in at the very minimum competition for Luke Wattenberg at center, just to keep the floor a little higher and then keep the competition a little better behind him because I'm not, I don't know, just by what the Broncos think.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not that so long term on Wattburg etc.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_01]: He might be a better guard long term for the Broncos chat, but thank you as always, Deanna for your generous super.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I had always, we had always heard from the Broncos how much they loved Wattinburg, but even knowing that,
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_02]: I was surprised that he got extended not only when he did Zach, but at the level that he did.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, but it telegraphs to us.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_02]: He's part of at least the next couple of two years or so plan for the Broncos.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, almost out of time.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_02]: Love you, lady D. So good to see you give our best to the hubby, uh, where was George?
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to grab George right here.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_02]: George, this thanks to Broncos Country, along with my Ohio, now we get ready for the 26 season.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos for life, image age for life.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_02]: Hit the thumbs up.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, buddy.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_02]: Really appreciate you.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: I want to grab this from Todd and then we'll get on out of here.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_02]: Another dear member says, my biggest question on defense,
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_02]: What happened to Savion Jones this past year?
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: I thought Q Robinson looked much better.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well Q played the whole season on specials and rotating as a rush linebacker.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_02]: Savion Jones, I think Zach, they dressed him twice if memory serves.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_02]: But they're so deep there.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_02]: They basically said, hey, red shirt, learn the ways, learn how it goes, and you're red shirting, they'll be relying on saving on Jones a lot more next year.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_02]: Now, whether he's equal to that opportunity remains to be seen, but also interior defenders that typically take a little bit, couple two, three years to really develop.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there's that.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but there's also the fact that they play different positions.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: Savion plays with his hand in the dirt and Q basically stands up.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's apples and oranges to compare them there.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_01]: But speaking of Savion, it's, it's, it's hard to rotate a lot of defensive linemen in when you're that deep on the defensive line.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, I mean, you mentioned Malcolm Roth, but also it was a Riqueh was part of the deal as well.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: And he had a good season.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, Savion being a rookie in the adjustment, the acclamation period, you got kind of lost in the fray, but they're not even approaching JFM about an extension to prove Chad and shows that they have a lot of confidence in Savion Jones as a starter going forward.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_02]: Todd says, I think we are winning the AFC West again next year.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you on that.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_02]: Now I can't predict a number one seed, but I like Denver's outlook in the division because we already match up so well with the chiefs.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_02]: Chargers have still will continue to be a pickle.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_02]: but I'm curious to see what kind of shape that defense takes with Jesse Minter being gone.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_02]: We shall see, thank you buddy.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_02]: We got string guy Raj Singh hit the like button all for the number one best Broncos podcast.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_02]: Also great chat folks.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you really appreciate your shout out to Roy, save you on Jones.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get more playing time next season.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's for sure.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_02]: All right guys, we got a couple of messages for you and then we'll take one last look at the chat.

- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_02]: Jared Stittam is under contract and I mean, it didn't turn out there.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos way he ended up being overwhelmed.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_02]: All that stuff we've already talked about, but if it wasn't clear by how the team talked about him all week,
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they love Jared Stitham as the back up mind you, but they love Jared Stitham.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_02]: They love the relationship that Stitham has with Beau and that they all have together with Davis Webb and Sean Payton.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_02]: So like, that's not changing.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be interesting to see how Logan Kilgore changes the equation as the official quarterback's coach moving forward.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_02]: But Zach, as the final word here on that, I don't see quarterback changing other than,
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_02]: is going to now take his opportunity to go try and make some hay on top of the image stock rehabilitation he got with Sean Peyton for a year kind of like Zach Wilson
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_01]: This is a year that I could see Sean Peyton using a mid-round pick like a fifth or sixth maybe on a quarterback.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_01]: Someone that he can mold for himself, they don't have to sign, not an also ran, not someone with developmental issues or history of developmental issues, someone that he can mold as fresh putty, so to speak.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's what he does for the third quarterback spot this off season.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, a mile high salute and a special shout out to the great Super Chat Super Stars and supporters and dear members helping us keep the lights on tonight.
