- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Here's a clip from today's episode.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: And then for a manny gen, there's this the sort of next step is informing and just being in communication with the people affected by your actions, because otherwise they will be confused and lost and overwhelmed.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: I get buffered to them a lot.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: They're like, what are you doing these days?
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Like, are you still selling vintage clothes?
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh god, no, that was like 15 years ago.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: You know, manifesting generated since then on earth.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: That is such manifest.
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Before we start the episode, I want to remind you that we talk about specific channels, gates, incarnation crosses, all the stuff in every episode.

- 1:07SPEAKER_02: All right, here we go.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: Hi, I'm Carly Arbuckle, Human Design Medium, and this is the Human Design IRL Podcast.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: Welcome back.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: Today I have my friend, soul friend, Jess Parvin, a 6'2 Manny Jen here with me.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: She's a sole purpose coach and a holistic business mentor for women, soulpreneurs.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: She uses human design, which is why she and I are so both so excited to be here and to talk human design.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: So this might be a little bit of a deeper episode, but I'm very excited to talk to you about this, Jess.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: You help people, you help women live their truth and live and women who are past the point of settling, right?
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: And they want to, they just don't know how to integrate that into a real, I guess some people call it like 3D or you know, earthbound job.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: We we live in a reality, right?
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: So go ahead and say hey to the people.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Hey people.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: I'm so excited to be here with you, Carly.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Can't wait to see where we take this conversation.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, human design has been a big part of my path and my work for several years now.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: So it's uh it's an amazing tool.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Who do you work with?
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: So tell people so that they have an I like to introduce people so they get a feel for who you are.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: So do you want to just want to just share your soul in your own jumps?
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: You're a six slide.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: So share your wisdom with us.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Tell us who you are.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Well, let's, yeah, I'll start with who I work with.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: So my I guess my path has been, I mean, definitely the entrepreneurial path.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: I've been self-employed for about 15 years now in uh various ways, um, coming from a branding and design background.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: Working with, so on that path, I kind of identified that I really liked working with women, entrepreneurs who were, I guess, creating personal brands and doing branding and websites and marketing with them.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: And then that kind of naturally led me into coaching about five years ago.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Um, so now I'm just focused on coaching and consulting and working with women, yeah, soldpreneurs.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: I call them, you know, women who are creating businesses that are really like an extension of their purpose and very service-oriented, a lot of healers, other coaches, therapists, creatives, and artists.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: And yeah, women like us who are trying to, you know, really live their purpose and create a sustainable business that suits their lifestyle.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, for me, it was all about when I initially became a self-employed person, it was really all about the freedom and flexibility and creativity that comes with self-employment.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm so excited about that.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: So yeah, now I use human design as, you know, one of the tools in my coaching to help people kind of see what alignment looks like, see where their energy is kind of meant to be.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: It can be incredibly validating, of course, when we're struggling to be visible and take action towards our purpose.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Uh, having that reflection from our human design chart can be incredibly useful to people.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: And that's that's the way I mean, human design is really infiltrating.
- 4:04SPEAKER_02: When I I remember when I had some job searching service after my nine to five was eliminated strategically by spirit, so it was never gonna work for me.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: But she part of what encouraged me, honestly, is I was talking about, I was doing human design at the time, but I talked to my person, my consultant or whatever, who was helping me figure out what to do next.
- 4:27SPEAKER_02: And she was like, Oh, human design.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: We're starting to bring that into like career coaching.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: And I thought that was fascinating.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: She's like, I think you should do that.
- 4:39SPEAKER_02: Um, which is an invitation.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: So hey, I'm a projector, I'm gonna go ahead and take that invitation.
- 4:45SPEAKER_02: Um, but also um it it gives me honestly, I I think more so, I don't know why, maybe it's just the the stigma around astrology that it's just you know very ethereal, but human design seems to have cracked some sort of maybe it's the quantum physics that's involved in it, that it seems more scientific, but it seems to have cracked into day-to-day career coaching, which I think is cool.
- 5:15SPEAKER_02: It's how you use it's how you use it.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: You just are using it not for the benefit of the organization, you're using it for the benefit of the human being.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: Right, which is the paradigm hello, sleeping phoenix incarnation cross, you know, which is what the paradigm we're walking into is the individual, not how we can serve the organization.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's not interesting.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: Which I've mentioned before in an episode by every everybody.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: I talked about that, I think, in my last episode.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: Um, a couple of them, but go back and look for that in the keywords.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: But if you're not understanding.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: Okay, but go ahead, Jess.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was just gonna say it's it's awesome to see it becoming more and more, I guess, mainstream.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I think it's kind of a a bridge between astrology and maybe like some more sort of scientific or business-oriented processes like Meyer Briggs and tests that have been kind of used for years, but this just goes deeper and it is, yeah, I hope it's like it's catching on with people who maybe wouldn't normally be interested in quote unquote woo-woo things like astrology, but it's yeah, like an amazing hybrid of all of these ancient wisdom systems coming together in a really practical and um for me relatively easy to understand, comprehensive way of yeah, accessing it.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: And you've got, I mean, if you've listened to Nicole Pope's episode audience, Jess also has the 1762, 1648.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: We talk extensively about this ability to explain things and to have tried things, tested them, and then be able to communicate and teach them.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: Um, so you also have this ability to make complex simple for people, uh, which I think is part of the part of why you're maybe pulled into human design because it is a lot of layers.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, and like a I I don't know, probably because of that and maybe being a Manny Jen and some other reasons, like I just I just like immediately started teaching it.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Like I didn't even started using human design like six years ago, and then like a year later, I'm like teaching it and sharing it with people, and and not really that phased by like the fact that I didn't know all of the things, and of course I'm still learning, but I feel like there's there was immediately such a feeling of like, oh, I need to share this with people, I need to use this and get out into the world.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: So that's the power.
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, and I I've heard like three things that I want to talk about um already in in what you've said, and maybe I'll tease them now so that we can come back to them.
- 7:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you helping people with brand identity when you have an open G Center, which is you don't have a consistent identity.
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: I think it would be helpful for people, and and it was certainly helpful for me.
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: You and I ran an event together, and I think one of the most powerful ways women can use human design is to know how to support each other.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: And doing that with you, like it was a very cool experience to lean into both of our strengths, I think, in planning that and in facilitating it.
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: I mean, so something I mean, I I don't know how we even talk about this, but I guess what what surprised you about working with a projector, what did you expect?
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: And then I can share the same thing because these are two very I find that I get along best with projectors and many gens.
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: Um but you're very we're very different types.
- 8:47SPEAKER_02: You have all the energy, I have less.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, that was about a year ago, so I might, you know, misremember some things, but I often seem to attract a lot of projectors and many gens, my clients, my friends.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Um, so I don't know what the symbiotic relationship is there.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: Maybe it's yeah, projectors, you know, sort of wanting to plug into the the define sacral and the um manifest or energy or vice versa, you know, you kind of like I think bring me down a notch.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: And we were talking about this a little bit before we started recording, but um, you know, you were saying you kind of tend to, I don't know if you use the word perfectionism, but I think you can be really detail oriented, is what I picked up on.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: And that's really helpful for me because I can be like really like, you know, move fast, big picture, like yeah, yeah, yeah, it's all good and we'll figure it out later, kind of, you know, like yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Get the ball rolling.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: And you were kind of like, okay, wait, wait, let's, you know, let's talk about this, let's make sure we're we're clear and let's, you know, tweak and refine.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: So that's kind of what I remember about the process.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: And then even at the event, I remember, you know, we had a four-hour event, which seemed like a ton of time.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: But of course, there was so much we wanted to cover, and there was a lot of, you know, there's like, I don't know, a dozen women there who were excited to go deep with us.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: And you were like, and I was like, okay, you have time to give like four readings.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: You were like, no, you gave everybody like a significant reading, you know, from their spirit team.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: And it was just like so thorough, and we ended up going like an hour over, which was fine.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: And yeah, so it's like, okay, she's just like really present and detail oriented and deep, and who cares, you know, if we're not losing the next thing quickly enough.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: And that that can be really helpful for me because I'm just like boom, boom, boom, let's, you know.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think, yeah, I think where so from a projector standpoint, like just hypothesizing where that comes from is wanting to make sure it lands with people and being cognizant of how it will land with like it's sort of directing that energy that, you know, in a way that will be, I guess, and I that might also be my fore line with relationships and just trying to, you know, make sure that the people are getting something that, you know, not that you don't think that not that you're that that Manny Jens would be like, don't care what people get out of it.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: I just think there might be a different, like the delivery mechanism for me is a really important part, and you to deliver is the pressure I think that you have.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: And so together, you know, we created a really awesome program that I think people got a lot out of.
- 11:23SPEAKER_02: But me on my by myself, I would have a very hard time.
- 11:27SPEAKER_02: I told talked to you about this before this podcast.
- 11:30SPEAKER_02: I have a very hard time jumping into things and starting to do them without optimizing.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: And you know, without making sure that I have thought of all the, you know, yeah, I have that defined ajna, so I'm going to think about eventually.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: And I have the defined head too.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: So I have the pressure to think about all these things.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: And so I think, yeah, what I really got from which was healing for me, is you do have the capacity to do a lot and spread yourself very wide in a way to do it.
- 12:07SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, it doesn't it, yeah, I sure.
- 12:10SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 12:10SPEAKER_02: I mean, you you do all the things, and but there's also an ease for it for you that I feel like you're like, oh yeah, I'll just take care of that.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: I'll just, you know, I'll just put this here and I'll put, you know, email or like, I don't know what we were doing.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: I was going really deep into a workbook to give the women so that they had, you know, the knowledge.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: I'm doing I'm giving them the insight, you know, and you were really helpful in terms of how, okay, we need to put something here, we need to put something here, we need to put something here.
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: I let's do this, this, this, this, and this.
- 12:43SPEAKER_02: And it was like a punch list for you.
- 12:44SPEAKER_02: And, you know, it was exciting, it built momentum.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: You know, I always call many gens and generators, I call generators the sun, um, and and I'm solar powered.
- 12:56SPEAKER_02: Um, and many gens are sort of like the reflection of on the ocean.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: They're sort of flitting, it's sparkly energy, and it's not just sort of centralized and it's you know attractive and harder to plug into in one place.
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, not to plug you can't plug in in one place.
- 13:13SPEAKER_02: It's not like you can be firecracker powered the way that you can be solar powered, you know.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: It's just sort of like I'm gonna jump on the rocket with you, kind of a thing.
- 13:21SPEAKER_02: And it's fun, it's a delightful.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: And I I think what I wrote in my book about Manny Gens and and or maybe it was a a report I had, you yes, and the world.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: So the role of a manny gen is to keep us moving from humanity, like in humanity, keep us not, you know, what do you call that, complacent with the way things are?
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: Um I always you know, but but I also then give insight and make things different through my own insight.
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: And I wonder if that ties us in together, we we both sort of see what can be tweaked.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: Does that resonate with you?
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, I think that's I mean, I think you mentioned one of these gates that I have, maybe the 17 or the 18, like recognizing problems and being very solution-oriented.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: And I think, yeah, if I really zoom out on like what my main sort of gifts are as far as my work goes and help supporting women soulpreneurs, I think one of the themes that I continually come back to is like helping people get unstuck, I guess is the best way to say it, right?
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: Or get moving.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: Get moving and like really, you know, and and also trying to realize that everybody doesn't move as fast as I do or do as many things, maybe, and that's totally fine.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: But we so often, all of us, can figure things out, right?
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: Quote unquote figure things out or like get more intuitive hits or know our next step once we're in action.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: And I think you're you're talking, speaking to that, right?
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: Like wanting to kind of having this tendency to kind of like figure everything out or sort through everything before you take action, and you know that that can keep you stuck.
- 16:01SPEAKER_01: And I'm kind of the opposite.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh, figure it out later.
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna start doing.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: But so maybe that's why there's this reciprocity between us and also why I have so many clients who are projectors, because I feel like yeah, they're looking to me for that, I guess, that sacral definition and that sort of yeah, action-oriented way of learning and uh understanding themselves better.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: Like we I think we learn through doing a lot of the time, that certainly more so than being in our heads about everything and overthinking, right?
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's interesting because a lot of coaches are managens and generators that that work really heavily with clients because they have the you know the energy, the drive to do that and to, you know, keep people motivated.
- 16:43SPEAKER_02: I think what's interesting about what you just said, and I think under or like sort of illuminated why I love working with you, is that I also feel seen and recognized as a projector.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: I think it would be easy for, and it has like I look at you know, you look at all different sorts of motivational people, and I feel differently than 70% of the population, I work differently, and you literally manage and that shit.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: You're like, yes, and we need to get it done, you know, but you recognize the projector, and all we want is to feel seen and invited.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: And I feel like by acknowledging my projectorness and not only acknowledging it, but inviting what I have to, you know, share and valuing that, and also you know, keeping us going.
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: And I really value that in you, and I think that that's why perhaps that works and it it is so beneficial, shows how beneficial it is to know the human design of the people that you're working with.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: And looking back on like clients who have been projectors, I feel like they're actually the most, I want to say like type A, that's not the right word, but you know, like the the most dedicated and like consistently consistent action takers actually, like when they have direction and maybe are feeling seen and like, okay, this is in alignment with me.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, on this flip side of that, I've also had projectors who come to me as clients and they're like completely burnt out because they're, I don't know if they're trying to overcompensate, but just like really overly taking action.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, okay, slow down, simplify.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: I have a client right now who's a projector, and I just kept saying, keep saying, simplify, simplify, simplify.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: You have tried to do too many things in too short a period of time, and no wonder you've hit a wall.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: So yeah, not everybody needs to like be doing all the things that I'm doing, but um it is, but yeah, I find projectors are amazing to work with because once they're like in alignment and feeling excited about what they're working on and feeling seen, they're like the most consistent and dedicated and I don't know, like strong.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: They're really we want to share.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we want to help.
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: I feel like that's the the miscon like if I could tell anybody anything about being a projector or working with a projector, it's that you know it it it everything, every piece of advice or every thought that we have when it comes to guidance is intended from a place of altruism.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: It's not ever, and it can come across when we haven't been invited as Aridite and condescending, and that's just the actual worst.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: Because I feel like we genuinely want to help.
- 19:38SPEAKER_02: And when you can see something very clearly, especially as an entrepreneur, you want to be able to give that.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: And I think that the hard part is, and where you can really help projectors is okay, where have you been invited?
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: Where is your energy recognized?
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: Not just how can you help, because we can help in a lot of different ways.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: We're very observant, but really focusing that in on okay, but where is the action takable?
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: And what you're talking about is like that projector hyper focus, where once we're into something, oh god, it's like inhaling it.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: You know, it's the dedication is so there.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: We are waiting for someone to invite us so that we can go deep and help, you know.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: But maybe that's what we do.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, I'm saying this is especially applicable, I think, with marketing.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: I'd say like the sort of main focus of my work the last year or two, especially has been soulful selling, as I, you know, call it.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Totally like helping women, because the number one complaint I was getting, or the reason people were coming to work with me, was like, I love what I do.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: I'm so in alignment with my, you know, I I know who I want to work with, I know what I want to do, whether they're already doing it or not.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: But the thought of marketing it and selling it and making packages and talking about pricing is terrifying.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: And I hate doing it.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: And I don't want to be on social media or I don't want to be on it every day.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: And so I've really, and a human design is like so amazing for that.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: Um, so I have like one three-month package that's just just looking at your human design in order to create a marketing plan that fits your energy.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: Hey, that's awesome.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: For projectors, absolutely, it's like, how can I find those places where I'm being invited in, where the energy feels good and I'm being recognized and like amplifying that, right?
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: You think of like the 80-20 rule, like where can I put 80% of my energy into that, even if it's not the sort of obvious marketing tactics that maybe other people are telling you you should be doing, right?
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Like social media.
- 21:31SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, yeah.
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: Well, and it's hard to ignore.
- 21:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, like, you know, projectors are 20 some 23% of the population.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: I thought it was 21, maybe, but yeah.
- 21:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, some some somewhere.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: So it's different than most people.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: And so when you're surrounded by that and you're an entrepreneur, what's available out there is geared for generators.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: And actually geared for manifestors, really.
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: If you look at, you know, Tony Robbins, I think is one that's a good example of do it, start it, initiate.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: And I guess for manif or for um generators, that's something to respond to.
- 22:12SPEAKER_02: So that's sort of in a way, you know, helpful that way, right?
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: You know, and that's that is the strategy of, and maybe we can talk about strategies.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: I haven't talked about that yet.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, on this podcast.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: So for these different types, there are there's what's called a strategy, which you know, I talked about your authority being for me where your intuition comes through your body.
- 22:34SPEAKER_02: Uh it's where your soul speaks to you through your energetic center.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: And there's also a strategy for each type, which means you know how you're meant to take action in alignment, I guess.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: Oh how would you describe it, Jess?
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, definitely it's about taking action, making decisions, um, type.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: put it a lot or like um well in in conjunction with your authority kind of how you make decisions, how you move to the world.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: And it's like, it's really like your daily job to be in sync with your, I guess with your strategy and your authority, right?
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: It's like if not if you take away nothing else, I think, from your energy type, it's understanding your strategy so that you can be aware of these.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: It's like how opportunities come to you, right?
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: And how, yeah, how we move forward.
- 23:27unknown: Yeah.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: The way Spirit's saying it right now is like your strategy is how you move through the world and your authority is what you do in the world.
- 23:36SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 23:36SPEAKER_02: Which I think is an interesting way to say that.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: So you know you discern what action, like what direction I guess, or what things you do with your authority.
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: But the way that you generally move through the world, you know, for generators which is the majority and this is the same for manifesting generators.
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: It's just a little tweaked, you are meant to be inspired to respond, not to initiate, not to you have this you know glorious life force energy and be discerning about how you use it based on what your authority how your authority is you know aligned with spending it.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Can you talk about what that's like to have a strategy, how that feels in alignment and maybe some times you've initiated which is a big temptation for many gens.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: So right the the strategy of the manifestor is to initiate and you know since gener many many gens are like a hybrid, we're mainly generators, I guess, with this manifestor energy because of our defined throat that's connected to a center center.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Another center.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: So we have this manifestor tendency and I always say like many gens want to be manifestors, right?
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Productors want to be generators, generators want to be many gens.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: Like we all have sort of the the way that we tend to go and we're maybe a little out of alignment or reaching a little bit further than we should.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: But I do think that so yes gosh initiating is such a thing for me.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: And I've also often I guess I've often you know seen this like shadow I'll say of like being kind of a control freak.
- 25:19SPEAKER_01: And I feel like that kind of shows up as me trying to like push and initiate I'm also an Aries son firstborn daughter granddaughter you know like there's a lot of things in my chart that are like push, create, be the first one.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: Um yeah right so that comes kind of naturally to me but in the in yeah in the last few years I've definitely backed off from from that so much and it just I just can like sense my body responding to that with with like so much more ease.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: Um and but still for as a Manny Jen I do feel like there's that sort of dual strategy of responding and then informing is one that I also take that's what I feel too.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: So for me that looks like and I think for all generators responding starts with being present is what I think is the most important thing.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: I mean that's for important for all of us right like we don't want to be running crazy stories in our head all the time.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: We know that mindfulness is incredibly important for spiritual physical and mental wellness.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: So whatever it whatever helps you get into that sort of present place so that you can be aware of what there is to respond to right because sometimes we miss opportunities, signs, synchronicities and this is what you're so incredibly helpful with connecting people with their spirit guide so they can be like, did you see that sign?
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Or yeah what am I looking for or really having people reflect on that because that's part of yeah what there is to respond to.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: And I mean that's such a wide thing like there's a million things to respond to right inspiration as you said comes from all kinds of places.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: But um yeah so I think it starts with like really being present noticing what's in your environment like what's coming up consistently what are those signs or pieces of inspiration that continue to like kind of tap you on the back and then you know using your your authority which for mine is emotional to maybe help you take you know decide what what is right the right thing for you to take action on I guess what's the thing for me to respond to right because just because something's in my field doesn't mean necessarily I need to respond to it right now or like that the time is right or so there's also that knowing what's for us and what's not which you know comes through our intuition through our authority you could speak to that a lot.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: And then for a manny gen there's this the sort of next step is informing and just being in communication with the people affected by your actions because otherwise they will be confused and lost and overwhelmed.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: I get to a lot they're like what are you doing these days?
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: Like are you still selling vintage clothes?
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: I'm like oh god no that was like 15 years ago you know I've been like manifesting generate since then on earth that is such manifest where were you traveling recently we didn't connect the code like no that was a year and a half ago I was just in France I was just yeah I mean that's amazing that's such a great example of many gendum is just going from thing to like I would imagine people who haven't seen you in a while are like oh yeah what are you that was a long time ago like no I've moved on three times since then the breakdowns yeah right exactly like just especially as an emotional authority I think you know Spirit says that those people are here to really have the human experience because you feel all the feels um and so really having you know as a many gen going through that I can imagine I think what you said I I just talked to someone yesterday about the inform piece and because many gens are so efficient and they have this energy to this you know it's almost like a pressure center.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: It's not but it's it's a it it's the sacral center has a ton of energy there.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: It's like I would imagine does it feel sort of itchy when you're not using it oh yeah oh yeah it's so hard for me to sit still or slow down you know and that's where um yeah I I feel like I have tools I mean travel can be like that for me right where it's like nope I'm in a different place like I'm just I'm I'm not gonna start all the things or like work through all the ideas in my head.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna like take a break and let my body respond.
- 29:18SPEAKER_02: My body yeah be present to this new environment um yeah and mindfulness lots of tools that helped me kind of stay yeah stay off of that like manic um you know taking action on everything and a lot yeah and as women we've got to pressure to be and do a lot of things so it's if you look around you that is the what you're being told to do you know is to as you know manage this manage that do be the be all of these things take initiative but also be a caregiver.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: Like it's you know I think there was a America Ferreira's monologue in the middle of the Barbie movie is a really good you know illustration of all the just impossibilities the expectations but as a many gen you do have the energy and generators I think are conditioned the most as it relates to onus of doing things of someone will come up to you and be like you have all this energy and you're like what am I a monster?
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna share my energy but you have to sort of tune into yourself and you know especially Manny Gens who take the initiative because they do want to initiate so much I think that's where the informed piece comes in.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: So you know my friend Erin I was talking to if something breaks she'll go get another one if something you know she also was saying that she just agreed to have a kid at her house for the week because why wouldn't you do that and she wanted to and she didn't tell her husband and this kid shows up I'm like that with dogs I'm like oh by the way Josh we're getting a dog today like a talk for a dog it might be with us for three months right and it's just like and then they're like what and then she gets enraged she's like why wouldn't you want to do this?
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: Divine feminine rage well right and she and he's he's he's he now approaches her he now approaches her he's a generator with nine defined centers which we can talk about and their daughter is a reflector.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: Wow interesting I know but you know he's now learned to say I'm not disagreeing can you just let me know what's going on I'm not disagreeing which is like what a good partner right what a yeah what a good guy to that's a great Manny Jen support system.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: But you need to tell people what you're doing otherwise they're not going to be able to respond to you to you know feel invited by you and for manifesting gen manifestors I know I don't know if this is you true for you as a manifesting generator they just don't it doesn't occur to them to ask because why would you need to know that it's not a sense of like keeping it to yourself it's just I'll move faster if I just do it.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: Is that fair?
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah yeah again that's kind of where I feel like um it's well it's helped me knowing that about myself has helped me sort of reorient this idea of being a control freak because that I I mean I hate that term right and there's obviously some there's probably some shadow work to do in there but it's also yeah it's just like I feel like I can just do it better and faster and easier and why bother people kind of so I'll just take on too many things and this is definitely you know something I'm trying to decondition myself around you know delegating more yes informing more for sure moving a little bit slower being more discerning I told my husband the other day like we need to be radically discerning with our time like our time is our most precious asset and I just got really clear this really clear hit that like saying no is important right now for me.
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: Like I need to be saying no to more things um to yeah have a little bit more space because I yeah I'm that person like your friend that's just saying yes to everything.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: Like why wouldn't you?
- 33:03SPEAKER_01: It's if if there's space on my calendar even if it's just a tiny little I'm I'm filling it, you know, but more and more I think um I'm yeah trying to be really discerning about what I fill that space with.
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: And the way that I phrase it for some women is you're also you're living your purpose then or you're you're living in alignment and you're allowing others to do what they're meant to do.
- 33:27unknown: Yeah.
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: I feel like that's a good way to frame it because you feel like you're being of service when you're honoring yourself.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: And that's sort of messed up that we have to think about it that way.
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah you know that you're doing something for someone else when you're honoring yourself because you should just be able to recognize your own value.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: Right, you're right.
- 33:45SPEAKER_02: But I find that for some women it's really helpful to frame being in alignment saying no saying yes to the things you want to say yes to or you know waiting for an emotional authority waiting 24 hours that is divine timing.
- 34:03SPEAKER_02: I mean gosh looking at your chart and this is going to get super deep I mean Jess has every single gate in her spleen lit up.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah I love your reflections on that.
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: I mean my God so she's got intuition for days in turn and in terms of also everybody's intuitive this has to do with just a physical awareness of what is safe, what is healthy for her for her business.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: And so it she would know you know I'm a splenic authority and so for me what's hard is like it's more you will know if it's not safe for you than if it is because you're already doing it because it's sort of even precognitive and so to me what spirit's showing me now is like it's like oil for your wheels like like just like extra lubricant so that you can go even faster because you would know if it was dangerous.
- 34:56SPEAKER_02: You know it wouldn't it wouldn't be there.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: And you also have this 34 which is the power gate for sacrils which means you just have this superpower for yourself to create to do.
- 35:10SPEAKER_02: So you've you're hypercharged with this energy and then you have to wait because you've got this emotional authority you've got this emotional wave that's not subtle it's the you know communal community and emotional wave so can you tell about why it's important maybe give some examples for emotional authorities out there and I will we will get back to the strategies for the other ones.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: I do want like Spirit keeps reminding me to come back to that.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: But emotional authority yeah how that how waiting has benefited you oh my gosh so much.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: And it you know it's really interesting because I yeah I often think about the sort of juxtaposition of that really defined spleen and the emotional authority and like how do they complement each other or and I think what you spoke to is really helpful for me to frame that as like the spleen wants like action now or it's it's moving quickly and it's like not need in the now.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: It's yeah it's just like let's do this now, which again is why I say yes to things frequently and a lot of the time it is like fine like that was for me and I said yes in the moment and I I'll figure it out later like how to make it work.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: You know, it's not the always the most efficient process by any means.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: But the emotional authority is absolutely the reminder and again just being a manny gen in general it's like any anything that tells me to slow down and wait, I'm like come on, do I have to?
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: But it's helpful and mostly just in small ways.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: And I'll, you know, the the the example that popped into my mind when you were just speaking about the spleen and the emotional authority was like I have um with all my one-on-one coaching clients we have I have boxer access of course which I'm honestly thinking of phasing out I'm really trying to decide if it's helpful or or innate or like too I don't know if it innate right or like too much of a crutch for people.
- 36:59SPEAKER_01: I think it depends on the client so much.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm I guess I'm in my emotional process with that like waiting to see like how I feel you're not the only one.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: I know other coaches who have done that.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: A lot of people go back and forth with that's kind of like expected in a coaching container and it can be really helpful.
- 37:14SPEAKER_01: But I've had clients who kind of abuse it and I've had clients who don't use it at all.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: And um but I was thinking just like responding to voice messages from clients and I have such an instinct to respond right away.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: You know it's like I know what I want to say I want it to be there's sort of this pressure of like I want it to be fresh in my mind because if I wait to respond to this I might forget what I want to say or I might forget what the message was about because I probably will have consumed you know a thousand other pieces of information between listening to that message and responding.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah so I feel that pressure and sometimes I do respond right away and sometimes it's fine but I've I've noticed lately that like I really I'm really asking myself to like take a breath you know even if it's just waiting like 15 minutes to respond even better a few hours because inevitably my perspective will shift a little bit and I'll be coming from a much more like centered, aligned clear place than if I just respond immediately, which can be more of like a reactive reaction right of responding versus reacting.
- 38:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah that's really like something that's a good hypothesis for soulpreneurs who are emotional authorities.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: I mean talk about setting up a structure to support yourself.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: I mean ideally so I I talk about emotional authority as divine timing because you know but you also have this gut yes no then you have this spleen that's like ready to go you know or like it's a yes but what you're waiting for is you have this what's called an emotional wave that you have periods of highs and lows throughout the month you're here for the human experience and it's just sort of a security check that you're not in one of those highs or lows.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: And so ideally it's 24 hours if it affects a decision beyond that day.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: So I always you know it's not like you have to be like I don't know if I'd like to go to lunch you know if it's gonna happen that day it's gonna be in alignment but for people who you're advising for long-term strategy and maybe it's you know the daily decisions you respond right away but the long-term questions maybe as an emotional authority you set up as you know a weekly like or a daily like I do this once a day and then I respond within a day.
- 39:32SPEAKER_02: I mean that's a very interesting I've never heard anybody talk about that way before other than like you're buying a house you need to wait a day.
- 39:40SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 39:41SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: For me I mean I feel like the size of the decision can dictate the length of the waiting period for sure.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: I mean I think maybe I'm waiting too long on certain things but again I feel like I've learned this the hard way like always just jumping into things so quickly and really at this point in my life at 44 years old I'm like again trying to be so much more discerning about what I put my energy into and another example like of a long term thing is like this um membership community that I'm building.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: It's been in the back of my head for a long time.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: I think my spleen has you know told me it's like months six six months ago at least and I was like about like honest I started building the sales page and like I could have just launched it within one week and then I was like whoa whoa whoa wait a minute this is like a long term commitment that you're talking about right not like a short term container but something ongoing that I want to have part of my business for the foreseeable future.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: Huge commitment and I also have some struggles with commitment um as a managent.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: As a management and so I've I've been really taking my time so much more than I have with like anything else and checking myself every week like okay does this still feel aligned it's been it's been tweaked it's been I've changed sort of the focus of it I've changed the name of it I'm now starting to like record podcast episodes talking about it as in I'm launching it in the next um I think September is the date I've set now but it's a very different process for me to like take that much time thoughtfully going you know into something and yeah I don't know.
- 41:09SPEAKER_01: So it has to do I think with emotional authority and and and just and it works better.
- 41:13SPEAKER_01: Does it work better?
- 41:14SPEAKER_02: Have you had an experience where it's worked you know that you've yeah or that you it hasn't worked when you have I mean you're talking more about what hasn't worked when you haven't waited yeah um I mean I can imagine with all this you've got you've got answers from and you've got a defined route which has the pressure to move too so you've got all of this energy ready to go.
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: I know and sometimes yes uh example I mean for sure examples of waiting I could think of one again with the boxer access communication or just talking to clients um last year I had a client who uh sent me a really disturbing boxer message honestly and it it like you know I've got the undefined um heart center so it can be like I can struggle with worthiness stuff and she was just like I don't I don't want to work with you anymore.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: This isn't working you know she hit this so this is a thing I've been talking about lately.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: Like a lot of my clients hit this point around three months.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: I've noticed this consistent theme right where that where the work starts to get hard right like I usually work with people for six months or a year and you know doing yeah some some deep like personal work to get into like what their business is really all about.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: So she kind of hit that point where it was getting really hard and she sent me and she really reflected like she really put it on me which it initially like made me feel terrible and like I and I my initial response was just to like apologize right to get on vodka and be like I'm so sorry I'm the worst coach ever like I'll give you all your money back.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: But I paused thank God and thought about it for like a day and you know had uh we were working with Sarah at that point.
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: So I had her to support me.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: Thank God having a coach can be so helpful in those situations.
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: And it was so clear to me after a few hours of just sitting with this that like this is not about me.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: This is so clearly about her and no shame or you know blame.
- 42:59SPEAKER_01: It was just like oh clearly this is like a pattern that I've kind of seen coming and now it's time to confront it.
- 43:05SPEAKER_01: So I sent her back a really thoughtful message that that was just like is this a pattern with you that you want to quit when things get hard and I don't remember what else they said but it really yeah and and thank God she was self-aware enough to be like oh yeah you're freaking right I'm yeah I'm sorry like I just had a momentary freakout and I want to recommit to this work and keep going.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: And then we had an amazing you know relationship for another six months or so.
- 43:32SPEAKER_01: And so that's amazing example I was like thank God I didn't respond right away.
- 43:36SPEAKER_01: It could have just been so like graspy and unnecessarily apologetic or you know get getting into my self-worth, which again is something I talk about with clients so much.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: It's so difficult as a soulpreneur when your business is so wrapped up in your purpose and and you're so caring you care so much about the outcome of what your clients are getting and it can be so hard to separate your self-worth from your work and that's been an ongoing lesson for me.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: You know you talk about my undefined G center and the undefined art center art center and those that's where all the shadow work's been for me.
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: And for me entrepreneurship and especially being a coach has been like it's like of course my soul chose this line of work it is so freaking hard in some ways right because of those that those shadows but it's been like the the catalyst for so much growth.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah yeah I mean I find myself working with a lot of open g centers and open heart centers because I have both of those defined because I feel like there's a whole you know we talked I talked about this in another episode of having that I think it's 30% have the heart space defined and 70% of people you know when your self worth sometimes depends on your environment or is informed by who you're around like what you did is critical having that awareness and being like oh no I am I know I'm influenced by this.
- 44:56SPEAKER_02: So I'm going to step into my own energy for a minute.
- 44:59SPEAKER_02: Remember Who I am and operate from my authority, from what I know from you know, my defined AF spleen and you know my gifts and remember that I am responding to a need here, that this is in alignment for me, and you know, I make things simpler, like with your with your your gates and your ajna and your throat.
- 45:25SPEAKER_02: I have done the work, I've done the repet the repetition, I know what I'm doing from your 48-16, you know, and it's really remembering who you are before you respond.
- 45:35SPEAKER_02: I think that's a very cool story.
- 45:38SPEAKER_02: And I think it's a good lesson for like not lesson, but it's a good reminder, I think, for people who have an undefined heart space is you are have an open heart and some and that can be stomped on.
- 45:52SPEAKER_02: And if you take that on as your own, you're gonna feel it two times, you know, what someone else thinks of you.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: Like when, you know, if that person, I don't know what her chart looked like, but you know, or how that connected with you, but you're gonna feel that energy two times.
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: So, you know, so if you had responded in that, who it's out of alignment now.
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for those of us with that that undefined heart, it's like I feel like the knee jerk reaction is self-blame or like you know, not really good enough.
- 46:25SPEAKER_01: Like, you're right, I'm wrong.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: I I'm not good, I'm not good enough, or I'm doing something wrong, or I'm not worthy of being in this position.
- 46:32SPEAKER_01: And so, yeah, there's the anybody, whether you have emotional authority or not, I think pausing in those moments and being like, wait, wait, wait, what's actually happening here?
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: And who, yeah, who am I?
- 46:41SPEAKER_01: Like reminding myself of my inherent worth and my gifts.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: And again, yeah, our human design chart could be so helpful for that because it's like some of us are so whether we're conditioned to be so or not, we're like so incredibly humble to a fault.
- 46:53SPEAKER_01: It's like we just assume that everybody knows more than we do or everybody's better that whatever than we are.
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: But then you look at your chart and you're like, no, I have these inherent gifts.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: I inquickly know that this is part of who I am, and I need to trust that and stop pretending.
- 47:07SPEAKER_02: And you have an onus to be that.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, from a spiritual perspective, I call my latest um analogy.
- 47:13SPEAKER_02: I don't know if I've talked to you about this, but it's been working for me, is puzzle pieces.
- 47:17SPEAKER_02: And the energy centers are the nubs, and the that are defined are your nubs, and then the white centers are the grooves where you take in sort of as like a socket other people's energy and help them define themselves and help them see where they fit.
- 47:31SPEAKER_02: And I think when you go back and you look at your puzzle piece and you remember you are this is divinely orchestrated.
- 47:40SPEAKER_02: That's how your spirit team can be so supportive too.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: I think in those moments with human design is it's like, no, remember, you're here.
- 47:47SPEAKER_02: You know, we talk about purpose, and I want to talk about this a little bit with you because we've mentioned it a couple of times.
- 47:53SPEAKER_02: You're already living your purpose.
- 47:55SPEAKER_02: It's not something that you need to achieve, you know, but it's really what's the difference?
- 48:01SPEAKER_02: I guess the question I'm gonna ask you is hard.
- 48:03SPEAKER_02: I don't know how I'd answer it.
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: What's the difference between alignment and purpose?
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's a good point.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, I feel like alignment is like a daily practice, right?
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: Of like saying yes to what feels good for you.
- 48:15SPEAKER_01: It's really about connecting with your body.
- 48:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think I I also love human design because it's like it's body-centered wisdom, right?
- 48:22SPEAKER_01: It helps us get out of our head and into these intuitive centers.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: And that's really where like the wisdom is, I think, for us.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: And we're so conditioned to like think things through and be so head-oriented, but there's so much wisdom in our body.
- 48:35SPEAKER_01: And I feel like alignment, once people know what alignment feels like, it's so much easier to just move through your day-to-day decision making and action taking and feel better and better about being in that, you know, aligned-centered place.
- 48:50SPEAKER_01: It's like all of the little parts of you start to come on come together and you can be more present and more, yeah, more abundant and all of the things that we want.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: And what was the sorry, what was the other word?
- 49:03SPEAKER_01: Alignment and and purpose.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: Purpose, yeah.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: Purpose.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: Purpose is like, well, I don't know.
- 49:08SPEAKER_01: For me, purpose is a little bit of a a bigger thing.
- 49:10SPEAKER_01: I think being in alignment and being in purpose are kind of the same things.
- 49:15SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 49:15SPEAKER_02: How are they?
- 49:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're not really separate, but again, alignment feels like a daily practice and purpose.
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, I love what you said.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: Like everybody's, it's not, it's not like a a goal at the end of the the road.
- 49:28SPEAKER_01: Or something defined.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: Or defined.
- 49:30SPEAKER_01: But I do feel like, you know, my work is helping women connect to their purpose.
- 49:36SPEAKER_01: I think, you know, and those daily practices of being in alignment help us feel more connected to our purpose and clear about what that is and saying no to things that aren't aligned with our purpose, right?
- 49:46SPEAKER_01: I think that's a huge part of it.
- 49:47SPEAKER_01: It's really just it's almost like I always say, I'm not really like helping people like add anything or learn anything necessarily.
- 49:54SPEAKER_01: It's really just clearing away things, it's clearing away the clutter that's keeping us being in alignment with our purpose.
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: And then if they want to express that purpose through a business, that's kind of my specialty, right?
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: It's like if you want to bring that into the world as something that you're charging money for to sustain your lifestyle, then that's that's my jam.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: But um, yeah, I mean, I I'm obsessed with understanding people's incarnation crosses because I feel like the purpose compass.
- 50:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, me too.
- 50:22SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's interesting.
- 50:24SPEAKER_02: What I heard from you from you, and as soon as uh you started talking, I heard from Spirit is the in the alignment is with yourself, purpose has to do with the collective, yeah, and how you see external expression of what's internal.
- 50:40SPEAKER_02: And this is perfect for the incarnation cross we're moving into, which is figuring out the individual.
- 50:47SPEAKER_02: That is the align like you cannot understand how you or or step into how the potential of how you can make an impact, how you can make a difference, how you can feel fulfilled and helpful and also feel you know, delicious yourself if you're not individually aligned first.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: I guess you know, um I think that's and then you're like you're saying for purpose, like that's just your effect on people when you're in alignment.
- 51:17SPEAKER_02: But if you want to do that as your work, then that's what you're helping people do.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and and it's uh it's a process, right?
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: Like it's not just like, okay, now let's make this business.
- 51:31SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 51:32SPEAKER_01: I feel like this is why I work with people long for like longer and longer, it seems like over the years, because there is so much um alignment that needs to happen before you actually are kind of in the flow of expressing your purpose and building the business in the way that makes sense for you.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: So I'm just really interested in helping them get to that point where things are so aligned, meaning like they're they're doing again, they're doing the marketing work that actually suits them, not just what somebody else told them to do.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: They are making the offers that actually feel right for them and their energy and not just what they think they should be doing.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: And all you know, there's just so many steps there.
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: But yeah, well, and you can't, I mean, let's talk about this really quick and then we can go.
- 52:15SPEAKER_02: But I wanted to bring up, and I will we may maybe add an addendum with the strategies, but you have an undefined G center, which is the center of identity, and you talk about stepping away and knowing who you are.
- 52:33SPEAKER_02: So I think there is a very important distinction for open G centers to know that you can know who you are and not have a set identity.
- 52:46SPEAKER_02: And so in human design, what we're talking about is you know who you are, it's not how you identify in the world.
- 52:52SPEAKER_02: Can you, I mean, shed light on that, I guess, from your informed perspective?
- 53:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, again, I feel like um, you know, my sort of shadow work in the world or like my ongoing challenge in this lifetime is being clear about who I truly am and my place in this world.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: And that, you know, as what I think as a younger person, that felt like it was so connected to how other people see me.
- 53:24SPEAKER_01: You know, we can think of identity as like the clothes we wear, the music we listen to, the job we do, and all of that crap.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: And obviously, I think because I have an open G Center, maybe, or because I'm a manny gen, that's changed a lot over the years, right?
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: I've lived in different places, I've had different jobs, I've tried on different sort of um identities in that external way.
- 53:41SPEAKER_01: But it's the yeah, the real inner work for me is like knowing that that's separate from who I truly am.
- 53:48SPEAKER_01: And I feel like that's sort of the spiritual search or the spiritual path that so many of us are on is like knowing that we are inherently worthy, um, you know, you could say like children of God or connected to the oneness or like whatever, you know, language you use.
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: We're all the same, yeah.
- 54:05SPEAKER_01: We're all the same.
- 54:06SPEAKER_01: And then, okay, so then so then this like sort of chameleon-like energy becomes like a totally different vibe.
- 54:12SPEAKER_01: It's like a gift for me, I think, now that as I see it, right?
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: I can try on all these different hats.
- 54:17SPEAKER_01: I can work with different people and really get where they're coming from.
- 54:20SPEAKER_01: Uh not coincidentally, I most of my career has been based on branding and identity work, you know, design work, now coaching to help other people sort of find what feels good for them.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: And also I always come at it from this like very experimental framework, especially branding and and um just like business building in general, where it's like this isn't set in stone.
- 54:41SPEAKER_01: Like it maybe that's just me because I have an undefined G Center, but I know my business isn't set in stone.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: I know my brand identity is not set in stone.
- 54:47SPEAKER_01: I know it's gonna change and evolve in a year, or you know, it does every year, and my offers change and who I'm supporting can change and evolve because I'm growing and changing and evolving.
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: And so I always approach it with that mentality that like you don't have to commit to this forever just because you've defined a niche and that's always scary for people, right?
- 55:06SPEAKER_01: I don't want to limit myself, especially Manny Jens.
- 55:08SPEAKER_01: I don't want to limit who I'm talking to or what the work I'm doing in the world.
- 55:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, you don't have to.
- 55:13SPEAKER_01: Like, this is this is a biggest thing.
- 55:16SPEAKER_02: Like the fear of what will happen if you change your identity is not I we talked about this at one point because I was like, what do I call myself?
- 55:25SPEAKER_02: You know, what do I what do I call what I do?
- 55:27SPEAKER_02: And it was like really troubling to me.
- 55:29SPEAKER_02: And you were like, I don't know, just you know, let's pick something.
- 55:33SPEAKER_02: You can change it.
- 55:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's the gift of having them defined you so.
- 55:37SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 55:38SPEAKER_02: Like you're giving people right, and you're you're making it okay to change, you know, and you also talked about your gift of being able to really understand how people identify and coach them from that perspective, knowing that you you can feel almost where they are, I would think, you know, and being able to identify with that yourself, and that would, you know, help people feel seen, I would think.
- 56:05SPEAKER_02: But yeah, but you're talking about you as separate.
- 56:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 56:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think I'd become really or I am just inherently really comfortable with change.
- 56:15SPEAKER_01: And that's again something that I think I kind of I don't know, people kind of maybe are attracted to working with me because they're you know, a lot of my clients are like struggling with the identity shift that happens.
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: This is something I've been talking to a lot lately.
- 56:28SPEAKER_01: Is like there is an identity, a big identity shift that happens when you decide to step into your purpose.
- 56:34SPEAKER_01: And that's again, I feel like the difference between alignment and purpose.
- 56:37SPEAKER_01: Sometimes if if your purse purpose is being expressed outwardly, then it's it's going to be impacted by other people's impression of you, right?
- 56:46SPEAKER_01: And like, so I mean, I've been again, I've been doing that shadow work for years of like trying not to care what people think and like recognizing who I am inherently am outside of what I do for work or what people think of me or what my clothes clothes look like or whatever.
- 56:59SPEAKER_01: But um, all of us suffer, you know, suffer, and I will say suffer.
- 57:02SPEAKER_01: All of us are connected to that, especially as women, where you know, we we put ourselves out there.
- 57:07SPEAKER_01: I had a lot of clients will use the term, you know, coming out of the spiritual closet in a sense, like they're really put their full heart and soul into their work and and come out as like the amazing healers or coaches or like gifted people that they are, and it's so intimidating.
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: And so that is that is some deep identity work that I love, love, love doing with people.
- 57:28SPEAKER_01: And I think maybe it comes naturally to me because I'm so comfortable with change in a sense.
- 57:34SPEAKER_02: It's not it's not something that's can like it's never consistent for you anyway.
- 57:37SPEAKER_02: So it's not something you've staked your worth on, it's not something you've staked your, you know, and what I was just heard is like you might not always recognize you, but you'll always remember you.
- 57:49SPEAKER_02: So like if I came up on depending on what stage of life you're in, I'm with you know, um I might not recognize you at first, but your energy is like, oh yeah, hi, hi, wow.
- 58:00SPEAKER_02: You know, you have black hair now.
- 58:03SPEAKER_02: You have you're in, you know, music industry, and I saw you last when you were in accounting, you know.
- 58:10SPEAKER_02: But your energy is consistent through that.
- 58:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a good way to put it.
- 58:14SPEAKER_01: And that, you know, and that's kind of what human design gives us is the snapshot of like our energy.
- 58:19SPEAKER_01: So many other things about us are gonna change, of course.
- 58:23SPEAKER_02: And um on the outside or how you appear, how you yeah, yeah.
- 58:29SPEAKER_02: That's a cool way to put that.
- 58:30SPEAKER_02: Jess, thank you for being here and sharing your wisdom.
- 58:35SPEAKER_02: Tell people where to find you.
- 58:37SPEAKER_02: I was just talking about how I have all these women that I see myself as a gateway to knowing yourself so that you can then decide what you want to go and do.
- 58:46SPEAKER_02: And I have all these wonderful women that I can refer you to.
- 58:49SPEAKER_02: So talk about what people get when they come to you.
- 58:53unknown: Yeah.
- 58:53SPEAKER_02: And where to find you.
- 58:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can always find me.
- 58:56SPEAKER_01: Well, my website is jessparman.com.
- 58:59SPEAKER_01: I'm on uh Instagram here and there at holisticbizgrowth.
- 59:04SPEAKER_01: And my podcast is Holistic Business Growth with Jess Parvin.
- 59:07SPEAKER_01: I have an episode with Carly from about a year ago.
- 59:10SPEAKER_01: Um, that was really fun before we did that event.
- 59:13SPEAKER_01: And so yeah, you can find me in those places.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: Um, again, I work with women soulpreneurs uh to start a business or grow and pivot a business.
- 59:22SPEAKER_01: A lot of women come to me when they're feeling that identity shift happening, right?
- 59:26SPEAKER_01: Even if they've already been an entrepreneur for a while, right?
- 59:28SPEAKER_01: And they want some support in making it happen, you know, changing their brand identity and being more in alignment with who they know themselves to be.
- 59:36SPEAKER_01: And human design is a tool that I always use with clients.
- 59:41SPEAKER_01: Um, and I hope by the time this podcast comes out, I'll I will have launched my membership community.
- 59:46SPEAKER_01: So keep an eye out for that.
- 59:48SPEAKER_01: That's going to be a monthly, you know, touchstone for women to be in community with people like ourselves who are walking this path and supporting each other.
- 59:57SPEAKER_01: Because I just noticed over the years that one of the main things that has people quit or or stay stuck or give up prematurely is is being alone and doing it alone and not having enough um support, camaraderie, you know, reflection, other women to remind them who they really are and how amazing they are and that they need to keep going uh in a way that feels good to them.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_01: So I'm really excited to to build that.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_02: And I'm excited too.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_02: That's a really necessary.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_02: I was talking to someone yesterday about networking groups and how they're just not what I need.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_02: I mean, you know, and I have the the four line is called like is you would think would be like a network.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_02: It's no, you know what I mean?
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_02: It's like I because networking is the way that it's set up is transactional sometimes.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_02: And you know, you what you get is you get to pitch your, you know, practice pitching.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_02: But what I've noticed about how it really shows up is you're you're supporting each other, you're becoming each other's audience, which then makes relationships much harder, in my opinion.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_02: And it it feels it feels like there's something expected of you when you go, you know, rather than and there's a we talk about community, there's lots of people starting businesses, there's lots of people you can find, but it's very hard not to compare yourself.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_02: And when you can find a group that genuinely supports you, and you know, one of my favorite things Sarah said was how many Italian restaurants are there?
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, how many, you know, nail salons are there that are in business.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_02: Like we don't have to be afraid of being the same quote unquote same thing.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_02: We bring different energy to it and we attract different people that way.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_02: And I think that's just so what you're talking about is you know, a village basically of people who believe that way to show up and support each other.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, the biggest gift of my life, not my life, that's dramatic.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, it's one of the biggest for children.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_02: All right, anyway, right.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_02: I mean, I've got so many, right?
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_02: But truly, one of my biggest gifts in in taking the leap and doing a big program was in having you and Nicole in the group with me.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_02: And I wouldn't have said that when you joined, you know, I would, I was, yeah, I was like, oh shoot, there's another person who does this, or another, you know, and both of you in both cases.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_02: It's been like, oh my god, I'm so I could not have gotten to where I am.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_02: I could not like without your insight, without your support.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_02: It was such a gift, speak the same language.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_02: Oh, it was amazing.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_01: And we we both, you know, uh use human design and teach human design and in very different ways.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_01: So it's so for me, women like, and that's what I'm all about is like helping multi-passionate women, I often say, right, like bring the different parts of themselves into something that feels really unique, unique to them, a really unique brand and business.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_01: And building an identity, yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_01: And then there's no way you can feel competition with anybody else because it's not going to be the same as what other people are doing, just inherent differences.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_02: So I mean, it's it's more love.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_02: I'm a love-based person, and it just feels more aligned with that.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_02: So anyway, thank you for being here, Jess.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_02: And I will send you the the Silpriners that come my way.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_02: I know like I can't I who you serve is so specific, and I hope she's listening because she needs you.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_01: Talk to such a talk to anyone listening who wants to chat.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_02: You're right.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_02: Work in work in life has been increasingly one, and I think what a gift you can give people.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_02: Well, that was fun.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_02: Thanks for being here.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_02: If you find yourself wanting to be in the hot seat to know more about your design, to connect to your spirit team so you can feel grounded and confident in who you are.
