- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Radio Eyes. Children's Story Hour as
- 0:05a Reminder is a reading service intended for people who
- 0:09are blind of other disabilities that make it difficult to
- 0:12read printed material. Today we will be reading from various
- 0:16books on school. Your reader today is Diane. We will
- 0:21continue with the book Back to School, Mallory. It was
- 0:25published by Darby Creek, a division of Learner Publishing Group.
- 0:32It has a copyright year of two thousand and four
- 0:35and the author is Laurie B. Freedman. Dead pauses and
- 0:42looks at me. But she soon found out that building
- 0:45big tall towers wasn't as easy as it looked. Every
- 0:50time her tower started to get tall, it fell over.
- 0:54But the little girl didn't stop building. For weeks, she
- 0:57kept building towers. Every time tower fell over, she started
- 1:02over again, until finally she built a big tall block
- 1:06tower with all our blocks, just like the one our
- 1:09older brother had built. Dad is quiet for a minute.
- 1:13He picks up a handful of stones from the edge
- 1:15of the wish pond and starts stacking them on top
- 1:18of the other until they topple over. Building towers isn't easy,
- 1:24but the little girl stuck with it until she did
- 1:26it Dad looks at me. I knew ripen in there
- 1:30that this little girl would always keep trying until she
- 1:33accomplished what she set out to do. I throw a
- 1:36rock in the water. Are you talking about me? Dad nods. Now,
- 1:41my problems are bigger than building a tower out of blocks,
- 1:44and you're bigger now than that little girl in the story.
- 1:47Says Dad. I'm sure if you'll just give yourself and
- 1:51everyone around you a chance, you'll find a way to
- 1:54make things just the way you'd like them to be.
- 1:57You'll you always have, and I know you always will.
- 2:00Dad stands up and hands me the box of donuts.
- 2:03I'm going home now. Why don't you take a few
- 2:06minutes to think before the day gets started. After Dad leaves,
- 2:09I take another donut out of the box. So much
- 2:12has changed since we moved. Things aren't the way I
- 2:16like them to be, especially things with Mom. I think
- 2:19about the conversation I had with Mom and Dad last night.
- 2:22Actually it wasn't a conversation because I didn't do any talking.
- 2:26Mom did it. All. These were things I wanted to say,
- 2:30like I wish we had considered someone's feelings besides her
- 2:33own mine. But all I did was mumble I'm sorry,
- 2:38and I am sorry sorry I was ever born. I
- 2:42think Mom would be a whole lot happier if she
- 2:44didn't have a daughter at the school where she teaches.
- 2:47Then she could say to people, me, my only child Mike.
- 2:50He's a bright, happy fifth grader. He plays baseball, he's
- 2:54frozen meatballs, and he doesn't mind that I teach music
- 2:57at his school. I know Mom was really upset last night.
- 3:00Even though part of me is mad at Mom, all
- 3:03of her is mad at me. And I don't like
- 3:04it when she is mad at me. A tear off
- 3:06a piece of doughnut and tossed into the water. I
- 3:09wish I could do something so Mom wouldn't be mad anymore. Mallory,
- 3:14Mom yells from down the street. Come on, Marianne and
- 3:18her mom are leaving in a few minutes. I bet
- 3:20Mom wanted to say, pack a bag and you can
- 3:23go with them. I stand up and throw the rest
- 3:26of my doughnut into the pond. I think about what
- 3:29Dad said about finding a way to make things how
- 3:32I want them to be. But I think no matter
- 3:34what I do, Mom will still be mad at me.
- 3:37I think the best for me to do thing for
- 3:40me to do is look in the yellow pages this
- 3:42afternoon and see if I can find a new mom
- 3:46part of a plan. When I get to school on
- 3:49Monday morning, I feel like everyone is thinking the same thing.
- 3:52There goes the egg plan who didn't really break her leg.
- 3:55I walked to my classroom and sit down on my desk.
- 3:58Pamela is already in her seat. She smiles at me.
- 4:01Looks like a good morning. My mom told me I
- 4:03had to be nice to you even though you ruined
- 4:06fall festival. Smile. Missus Daily taps Chester class. Please open
- 4:12your science books to chapter five. I've flipped chapter five.
- 4:16Bears Bears have it easy. They don't have to go
- 4:19to school. They don't have to be in shows. I'd
- 4:22like to be a bear, Joey, please read for us,
- 4:25said Missus Daly. Joey reads. Bears can be found throughout
- 4:29the world. They are large mammals with thick, coarse fur
- 4:33and short tails. Bears walk flat on the soles of
- 4:36their feet. Black bears, brown bears, and polar bears are
- 4:40three of the most well known types of bears. If
- 4:42I were a bear, I'm not sure which kind I
- 4:45want to be. Sammy will you please continue, ask missus Daly.
- 4:50Sammy takes over where Joey left off. Bears spend the
- 4:53winter months of sleep or in active condition called hibernation.
- 4:58They emerge from their case in the spring, in late
- 5:01March or April. Now know what kind of beer I
- 5:04want to be? The climate hibernates. I could go to
- 5:07sleep now and wake up in March. By then everybody
- 5:10would forget about the egg plant who didn't really break
- 5:13her leg at Fall Festival, especially Mom. I wonder if
- 5:17there are any caves and fern falls. While I'm busy
- 5:20playing in my hibernation, Pamela passes me a note. It
- 5:25says this concerns you on the outside. I'm not speaking
- 5:28to Pamela, but when I get up, this concerns you note,
- 5:31I want to read it. I unfold the paper. Mallory,
- 5:35I have a plan. You are part of this plant.
- 5:38Meet me under the monkey bars at recess. I'll explain.
- 5:41Then I know you will like it. When the bell rings, hurry,
- 5:45we have a lot to talk about. You have to
- 5:47come your friend, Pamela. I can't imagine when Pamela has
- 5:52in mind. I look at her, but she moves her
- 5:55fingers across her lips, like she's zipping them shut. Pamela
- 5:59and I have been what you'd call friends since she
- 6:03stole my idea, but still part of me wants to
- 6:06know what her plan is. Think about what Dad said
- 6:09to me at the wishpond about giving other people a chance.
- 6:13Maybe I should give Pamela a chance. When the recess
- 6:16bell rings, I do e meanie miney mo. I squeezed
- 6:20my palm and decide to go. Pamela's waiting under the
- 6:24monkey bars when I get to the playground. When I
- 6:26walk over the monkey bars, Pamela looks at me. She
- 6:30looks nervous. I feel like I should say something, but
- 6:33I haven't said anything to Pamela for a long time,
- 6:36so I don't know what to say. Pamela faces me
- 6:39and foats her hands in her lap. Mallory, your mom
- 6:43seemed pretty upset with you last night, so I shrug.
- 6:48I don't know why Pamela cares. If my mom is
- 6:50mad at me, well, I think I got no way
- 6:52to get her unmad. Huh, I raised my eyebrows. I'd
- 6:57like to find a way to get mama un mad
- 6:58at me. Why don't when we ask Missus Daily if
- 7:01you can write the next Teacher of the month. Calm
- 7:03about your mom. Pamela lean's towards me like she's telling
- 7:06me a secret she doesn't want anyone else to hear.
- 7:09Since your mom just did Fall Festival, kiss will think
- 7:12it's interesting to learn more about her. You can say
- 7:15how sorry you are about what happened, and when she
- 7:18reason in the paper, she won't be mad anymore. I
- 7:21consider Pamela's plan. Tomorrow is the last day to submit
- 7:26articles for the next issue. Pamela continues, why don't we
- 7:30talk to missus Daily before reesays is over. Even though
- 7:34I'm still a little mad at Pamela, I think her
- 7:36plan is a good one. That sounds great. I think
- 7:39it's really nice that you want to help me. But
- 7:41I guess I don't understand why you want to look
- 7:44down at some grass growing under the corner of the
- 7:47bunky bars. After all, I did ruin Fall Festival. Pamela
- 7:52picks at a blade of grass. We all make mistakes.
- 7:55I'm sorry I took your idea for the Daily News.
- 7:57She says, I'd like to be friends. I didn't think
- 8:01I would ever smile again, but I do. I like
- 8:03to be friends too. You want to come over to
- 8:05my house after school? Ask Pamela you can write your article.
- 8:10I'll help you if you want. I nod my head. Sure,
- 8:14maybe it's not such a good idea, says Pamela. Oh oh,
- 8:19I hope we don't stop being friends before we get started.
- 8:22How come, well, says Pamela. My sister Amanda will want
- 8:26to do everything with us. She won't leave us alone
- 8:29enough to write the article. She can be a real pain. Sometimes.
- 8:33I've got a big brother and he's always a pain.
- 8:35But I can't believe little sisters can be annoying. Pamela laughs.
- 8:40Believe it. I can't believe you didn't know that. I
- 8:42guess there are a lot of things about Pamela I
- 8:44didn't know. Hey, I say, why don't I bring my
- 8:48purple Neil polish to your house and Amanda can paint
- 8:51her fingernails while we write the article. Great idea. Amanda
- 8:56will love that. Pamela grabs my hand. Better go, I've
- 9:00talked to missus Daly. Before we miss our chance. We
- 9:03run back to the classroom. I can't help thinking about
- 9:06what Dad said. Sometimes she just had to give people
- 9:09a chance. I'm glad I gave one to Pamela, Mom
- 9:13of the Month. It's out, I screamed. I clutched the
- 9:17Daily News with one hand and cover my eyes with
- 9:19the other. Pamela grabs the paper out of my hand.
- 9:23Open your eyes, silly, I peak just a little. Don't
- 9:26you know how hard it is to read your own work.
- 9:29Pamela laughs, that's only when it's bad. She starts reading aloud.
- 9:34Teacher of the Month Fernfall's Elementary music teacher Missus McDonald
- 9:39by Mallory McDonald, her loving and only daughter. Missus McDonald's
- 9:44a new face to many of the students at fern
- 9:46Fall's Elementary, but she's not new to me. She's been
- 9:50my mom for eight and three fourths a year of
- 9:53my entire life. When she was a an O teacher
- 9:56at home, she taught one student at a time. But
- 9:59now she's the music teacher at fern Falls Elementary, she
- 10:02teaches lots of students. I was really worried when I
- 10:06found out she was going to be the music teacher
- 10:08at my school. I thought she wouldn't have time to
- 10:11be a mom and a teacher. I thought I was
- 10:13losing a mom, But I realized what I gained was
- 10:16a great music teacher. She's the world's best music teacher
- 10:20for lots of reasons. She doesn't laugh at kids who've
- 10:23seen off key. She doesn't ask questions about composers who've
- 10:27died a gazillion years ago. But best of all, Missus
- 10:31McDonald loves all kids and vegetables equally, even rotten ones
- 10:36who are very very very sorry for any bad behavior,
- 10:39and promised to be a good from now on. As
- 10:43a music teacher and a mom, Missus McDonald gets an
- 10:45A plus. Missus McDonald's not only the teacher of the month,
- 10:49she's the mom of the month too. Pamela folds the
- 10:54paper closed. It's great, she says, your mom will love it.
- 10:59I crossed my I hope Pamela is right, even though
- 11:02she says she's not. I can tell Mom is still
- 11:05mad at me. On Saturday, she made me clean out
- 11:08my drawers. On Sunday, she didn't make peanut butter marshmallow pancakes.
- 11:13She always makes them for me on Sundays, and this
- 11:16Sunday I got plain old pancakes. And ever since Fall Festival,
- 11:20she's been calling me by my full name, Malorie Louise MacDonald.
- 11:25The only time she calls me by my full name
- 11:27is when she's mad. I hope Mom likes the article,
- 11:30and I hope she'll really forgive me for running fall Festival.
- 11:34I don't know how I'm going to be able to
- 11:36wait until music class to see if Mom liked my article.
- 11:40Missus Daily taps Chester on the head. Class, take your
- 11:43seats and open your Social Studies books to page eighty seven.
- 11:48Open book to a picture of Christopher Columbus. It took
- 11:52Christopher Columbus over two months to seil across the ocean
- 11:55with the Nina the pent in the Santa Maria to
- 11:58get to the New World, said Missus Daly. It took
- 12:02years to put his plane into place and see it
- 12:05through completion. So you can see, said Missus Daily. Some
- 12:09plans take a very long time to work. I hope
- 12:12my plan works faster than Christopher Columbuses did. After Social Studies,
- 12:17Missus Daily says, to take out our science books. Someone
- 12:21knocks on the door, Class, please start reading. On page
- 12:25sixty one, she walks outside and shuts the door behind her.
- 12:29I start reading, but Missus Daly cracks the door open. Malorie,
- 12:33may I see you ooh oh, whoever's talking to Missus
- 12:36Daily must have been talking about me. What if Mom's
- 12:39not the only one who's mad about fall Festiful? What
- 12:42if it's the principal and I'm in big trouble. I
- 12:45walk outside slowly, but when I get outside, I'm surprised.
- 12:49It's not the principal. It's my mom. Mallory, your mother
- 12:52would like to have a word with you. Missus Dayly
- 12:54winks at Mom and smiles at me. Your article was excellent,
- 12:59she says. Missus Daily goes back into the classroom. I
- 13:03wish I could follow her inside. I'm not sure what
- 13:06mama is doing here. There's a copy of the Daily
- 13:08News in her hand. I can't tell if she's happy
- 13:11or mad. I crossed my toes. Did you like the article?
- 13:15Mom puts her arm around me. What do you say?
- 13:18We discussed it over lunch? How about mc How does
- 13:22McDonald's sound. Mama's taking me out for lunch. I get
- 13:25to go to McDonald's. She knows all McDonald's love McDonald's.
- 13:30Mama is quite in the car when we sit down
- 13:33and wrap my cheeseburger and take a bite, But Mom
- 13:36doesn't touch her food. Mallory. What you did at the
- 13:40Fall Festival was wrong, and I think you know that.
- 13:43I nod my head. I don't think you'll do anything
- 13:45like that again. I nod my head again. And I
- 13:49know you're sorry that you were in a special night
- 13:51for a lot of people. I keep nodding. I hope
- 13:53I don't throw up my cheeseburger from all this nodding.
- 13:56Mom spreads the daily news on the table and turns
- 13:59to the page with my article on it. But this
- 14:02is wonderful, she smiles at me. Whew, I think it's
- 14:06safe to stop nodding. Mom. I'm sorry I pretend to
- 14:09break my leg. I wish I hadn't run the show.
- 14:12Mom takes a sip of her shake. Is there anything
- 14:15else she would like to say? Actually, there is. There's
- 14:19a lot of things I like to say. I take
- 14:21a deep breath. I didn't want you to be the
- 14:24music teacher at my school. I didn't want you to
- 14:27pick the thing you picked for Fall Festival, and I
- 14:30didn't want Marian to come see the show. I tried
- 14:32to tell you, but you didn't listen to anything I
- 14:35had to say. I feel like I've said enough, but
- 14:37for some reason, I keep going. It's hard to share
- 14:41your mom with the whole school, especially when you're used
- 14:43to having her yourself. It's not that being an eggplant
- 14:46was so bad, but I felt like you were spending
- 14:48so much time planning fall festival you barely had time
- 14:51to be my mom. You even gave us frozen meatballs.
- 14:55You never gave us frozen meatballs before you were a teacher.
- 15:00Mom is quiet ferment, Mallori. Just because I gave you
- 15:03frozen meatballs doesn't mean I love you less, and I'll
- 15:06try to listen to what you have to say from
- 15:08now on. But sometimes things happen that you might not like.
- 15:12When they do, you might find they're not at all
- 15:14that bad if you just give them a chance. I
- 15:17take a sip of my shake. I think about Pamela.
- 15:20I gave her a chance. I'm glad I did. Maybe
- 15:23Mom is right. I'll try I tell her. Mom looks
- 15:27at me in a happy way, like she just ate
- 15:29an extra salty French fry. Mallory. I'm proud of you.
- 15:33You did a good job telling me how you feel,
- 15:36and you wrote a wonderful article. Sometimes we all have
- 15:39a tough time saying what's on our minds, and you
- 15:42express yourself beautifully. Thinking about what Mom said makes me
- 15:46feel happy. I wonder if this is how Vincent and
- 15:49vain Go felt when he painted. Expressionism is starting to
- 15:53make sense to me, Mom, There's something else I want
- 15:56to say. Mom puts down her milkshake and looks at me,
- 15:59like what I have to say is important to her.
- 16:03What's that, she asks? I'm getting used to fern falls elementary.
- 16:08I even think there are some fun parts to having
- 16:10you teach me at the same school. Oh yeah, Mom
- 16:14raises an eyebrow. Which parts do you think are fun?
- 16:17I take a big bite of my cheeseburger. The eating
- 16:20lunch at McDonald's part, I lean forward and whisper so
- 16:23no one but Mom can hear me. It's a lot
- 16:26more fun than eating at that stinky cafeteria. Mom looks
- 16:30around the restaurant and leans forward. I think the cafeteria
- 16:34is stinky, too. But I'll tell you a secret if
- 16:37you promise not to tell a nod. I keep a
- 16:41secret stash if candy bars at my desk. Sometimes I
- 16:44just need to eat something sweet to get that cafeteria
- 16:47smell out of my nose. You're welcome stop by the
- 16:50room if you think a little bit of canny might
- 16:52help you too. Going to lunch a McDonald's access to
- 16:56a secret Caniye stash. Having Mom as a teacher might
- 16:59be even better than I thought It would be. Sounds
- 17:02like a plan. I tell Mom. We smile and dip
- 17:05our French fries in the ketchup cup at the same time.
- 17:08Happy Halloween. Someone sits down on my bed and rubs
- 17:12my bike. Guess who says the voice? Even though I'm
- 17:16covered with covers, I don't have to guess. I know
- 17:19it's Mom. She tickles my bike. Rise and shine, sleepyhead,
- 17:24It's Halloween. Then she whispers in my ear, I have
- 17:28a Halloween surprise for you. Canney corn pancakes your favorite.
- 17:35I sit up. I have a surprise for you too.
- 17:38I'm not going to be a witch this year. Mom
- 17:40is quiet for a minute, But you're always a witch
- 17:43on Halloween. If you're not going to be a witch,
- 17:45what are you going to be? I smile at Mom.
- 17:48That's another surprise. When I finish my pancakes, I ask
- 17:52Mom if I can borrow the aluminum foil. I take
- 17:55it into my room and close the door. I get
- 17:57out paint, some poster board, and string and scissors and glue.
- 18:01Joey and Pamela are coming over and we're making Halloween costumes.
- 18:05After I set everything up, I go outside to wait
- 18:08for my friends. When they arrive, we go into my room.
- 18:11Mix follows us. What's going on in here? You'll find
- 18:15out soon enough. I lock my door. So what do
- 18:19we do? As Joey, I've never made my own costume.
- 18:22Pamela looks through all the art supplies on the floor
- 18:25of my room. Actually, neither of I. She smiles at me, Malory,
- 18:30you have to tell us where to start. I smile
- 18:32at both of them. I know exactly where to start.
- 18:35We spend the morning cutting, pasting, and coloring. When Joey
- 18:39and Pamela and I finish gluing the last pieces on
- 18:42our costumes, we punch hose in the tops, tight strings
- 18:46through the hose and slip them over our heads. I
- 18:49spin around and so they can see me. What do
- 18:52you think I think no one else in fern Foss
- 18:55will be dressed like us, says Joey. I think we're ready,
- 18:59says Pamela. We all nod and march into the kitchen
- 19:02to model our costumes for Mom and Mix. Mom gasps
- 19:06when she sees us. Even Mix look like he's impressed.
- 19:10What do you think, I ask? Mom grins, three musketeers,
- 19:15Very clever. Mix walks around in a circle like he's
- 19:18a costume inspector. Not bad, he says to Joey and Pamela.
- 19:23He stops in front of me. Pretty good costume. Just
- 19:26try not to break a leg while you're wearing it.
- 19:28Everybody laughs, even Mom. She takes her camera out of
- 19:32the drawer. Get together, guys, put our arms around each other.
- 19:36Mom says, say happy Halloween and snaps our picture. See
- 19:41you tonight. I tell Joey and Pamela they aren't going
- 19:44home and coming back to my house tonight to trick
- 19:46or treat six o'clock, six o'clock sharp, and don't be late.
- 19:52We have a lot of houses to go to after
- 19:55they leave. Mom hands me an envelope. This came for
- 19:58you this morning. It's from me. She wrote Happy Halloween
- 20:02on the outside in big like and orange letters. Took
- 20:05her letter to my room and I opened it. Dear Mallory,
- 20:10Happy Halloween. What are you gonna be for Halloween this year?
- 20:14Even though we won't be together. I'm gonna be a
- 20:15witch just like always. But Halloween won't be the same
- 20:19this year, not without you or cheeseburger. I won't have
- 20:22anybody to go on fake black fingernails with. I won't
- 20:25have anybody to trade candy with. I won't even have
- 20:28a cat to go with my costume. Nobody will able
- 20:31to say which which are you? Here's a Halloween poem
- 20:35for you. Boo who boo who boo who? Halloween won't
- 20:40be the same without you. Hugs, hugs, hugs, kisses, kisses, kisses. Marianne.
- 20:47I reread Marianne's letter. Then I take out my Halloween
- 20:51scrapbook and pace Marianne's letter in it. I leave enough
- 20:54room on a page to put in the picture Mom
- 20:57took of Joy, Pamela and me. This Halloween will be
- 21:00different from my mother Halloweens. I used to go trick
- 21:03or treating with Marianne. Then we go back to her
- 21:06house and put our candy in a big bow and
- 21:08share it until it was all gone. Some years we
- 21:12got enough candy last until Christmas. This Halloween, I'm trick
- 21:16or treating with Joey and Pamela and Winnie and mix
- 21:19are coming too. Mix has never trick or treated with me,
- 21:23but when he heard that Winnie was coming, he decided
- 21:25to come along. When we finished, we're meeting at the
- 21:29Wish Pond for a party. Joey says, Halloween at the
- 21:32Wishpond is a Wish Pond Road tradition. I think about
- 21:37the Wish Pond. I've spent a lot of time there lately,
- 21:41making a lot of wishes, and I've noticed something. Sometimes
- 21:45my wishes come true, sometimes they don't, and sometimes they
- 21:48take a while of work. I guess what Mom says
- 21:51is true. You have to give things a chance, even wishes.
- 21:55I pull a sheet of paper out of my desk drawer.
- 21:57Dear Marianne, Happy Halloween to you too. I know you
- 22:02will be a very cute witch cheeseburger and I will
- 22:05both miss being part of the costume. You are right
- 22:08about one thing. Halloween won't be the same this year,
- 22:12not without you. Believe it or not, I'm not going
- 22:15to be a witch this year. At first, I thought
- 22:17I would be a witch because I'm always a witch
- 22:20with you, But I decided to try something different, so
- 22:23you'll never guess what I'm going to be A three musketeer,
- 22:27not the sword fighter kind, the candy bar kind. Joey,
- 22:31Pamela and I are going trigger treating together as the
- 22:34three Musketeers. It was my idea. When I told Joey
- 22:38about it, he said he wanted to go as a
- 22:40soccer player. So I told Joey that something was bugging me.
- 22:44I told him that I felt like he only wanted
- 22:46to be my friend some of the time, not all
- 22:49the time. Even told him that Mix said he was
- 22:52just my street friend. Max says a street friend is
- 22:55someone who lives on your street and only wants to
- 22:57be friends at home. Joey said, silly that. Mike said
- 23:01that most of the stuff stuff Mike says is silly.
- 23:05Joey said friends can be different and still be friends.
- 23:07Then he said the more he thought about the candy
- 23:10bar idea, the more he liked it, and to count
- 23:13him in. When I told Pamela that idea, she said
- 23:16she loved it. She even told missus Daily about it.
- 23:19She made her promise not to tell anyone, and Pamela
- 23:22told her it was my idea. Missus Daily told me
- 23:25she thought it was a delightful, sweet idea. That's all
- 23:29for now. I have to go help Dad hang Halloween
- 23:31decorations in our yard. Have fun tonight, eat lots of candy.
- 23:36I'm going to even though I know what Mom is
- 23:39going to say, don't eat too many sweets. You don't
- 23:42want to get a tummy egg before you go to bed.
- 23:45But I know exactly what I'm going to tell her.
- 23:47I'm going to tell her not to worry because I
- 23:50like sweet dings. Ha ha ha haaa. Get the joke. Sweets,
- 23:55sweet endings, Happy happy, Happy Halloween, extra extra extra big
- 24:00huge hugs and kisses. Mallory class pictures. Oh yay, I
- 24:07almost forgot. Next week we're taking class pictures and I
- 24:10can't decide what to wear. Mary and I used to
- 24:13always help each other pick out just the right outfits,
- 24:16but since she's not here this year, I asked a
- 24:19few other people. Dad said I should ask Mom. He
- 24:22said he's no good in the picking clothes department. Mom said,
- 24:26as long as I smile and say cheese, I'll be fine.
- 24:30But Mom knows I always say cheeseburger when I take
- 24:33a picture. Mike said I should wear a paper bag
- 24:36over my head. Joey said he had no idea what
- 24:39I should wear. When he said it wouldn't matter, and
- 24:41Pamela said we should ask missus Day. None of these
- 24:45people were any help at all, but maybe you can be.
- 24:48What do you think I should wear? Me and bell
- 24:52bottoms and a hippie top, Me and a mini skirt
- 24:55and a turtleneck, Me and jeans and a poncho, Me
- 24:58and boots and a letter address. It's so hard to
- 25:02picture just the right outfit for a class picture. Thanks
- 25:06so so much for your help. This concludes our children's
