Manheim Central abuse case puts spotlight on mandatory reporting requirements
Although it’s almost a week since Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams announced two separate investigations at high schools, the community is still reeling.
The cases have their differences, but Adams issued a warning for mandatory reporters to “act with a child protective mentality as opposed to a school protective mentality.” However, there seems to be some confusion and loopholes when it comes to what actually should be reported in cases such as these.
