- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: I thank you especially.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now if you're listening right now and you do not, you don't know what we're talking about.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you a primer here just a moment here, but maybe after today's broadcast, listen today, but maybe after the broadcast, you'd like to go back and listen to the Monday and Tuesday broadcast.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: I believe they may help you.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: They'll provide a little context for you.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: You can always find any episode from
- 0:50[SPEAKER_02]: on your favorite podcast player, on Spotify, on Apple podcasts, or even on YouTube, you can listen there as well.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: As we dive into what has been a message about a tender subject, something that I don't know that I love talking about, but as a preacher of God's word must be talked about,
- 1:11[SPEAKER_02]: Dr. Paul Levine is sharing a message with us this week from a blast from the past, he's speaking from the other side, this message was recorded about 15 or 16 years before he passed away.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: This message comes from 1980, he preached it to a large group of teenagers and the theme that title of the message this week is, the duration of hell.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: Who exactly is going to hell?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Who is going to hell?
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: Friend, as we dive into where Dr. Paul is in this message, I've got to say, I feel like sometimes we have the timing of the world of backwards.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about the length and breadth of it.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: Evolutionists will throw around phrases like,
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: billions and billions of years of billions of years here and billions of years there.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: But I think we might tack them on to the wrong side of human existence.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: I believe the Bible would lead us to a much younger earth as we look at it where from where we sit looking back at the past and you'd be hard pressed I think to squeeze billions of years into.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: the Bible concept of the earth, but I do believe in a long, long, long eternity.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: So, what's the duration of hell?
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: You realize billions and billions of years from now?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: It, hell, will still be young.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: there will still be people suffering, endless torment and separation from God, billions of years now.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: We can't even fathom them.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: The number of million we have a hard time, million with an M we have a hard time wrapping our head around.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: but billions harder yet.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, with that thought in mind, I want you to listen to Dr. Paul Levine, he'll be the next voice you hear in just a moment, sharing with us the meat, the middle of this message on the duration of hell.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's only talking about who exactly, though, is going to hell.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_02]: You might want to listen right now to find out if you are on the list, listen to Dr. Paul Levine.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: When Jesus was to be born, the angel said to Mary, uh, his kingdom's picking up this little baby to be born.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, his kingdom there shall be what?
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: If I know, no end.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's plain enough, and it's no end.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: By this kingdom, there shall be no end.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then later on, when Peter wrote about that same kingdom, which the angel said would have no end, take a Peter 1-11, he calls it an Ionia, it's an everlasting kingdom.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: And over and then, you'll catch a two-in-verse, a 44, it is described as a kingdom that will never be destroyed.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you're going to chop hell down to a million years, or 10 million years, or 50 million years, you've got to chop the kingdom of Christ on the same way.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: And if the kingdom of Christ has no end, and if the kingdom of Christ will never be destroyed, then hell will have no end, and neither will hell be destroyed.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: They're both going to last you until it's long.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Now, in the book of John 42 times, you have the expression, everlasting life, return your life.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I say, word again.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, once you've got young folks, when you get saved, God doesn't put your own probation, you know, he does.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: He just gets you ever lasting life.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: And it's got last forever, saying, God, once you get saved, you have the gift I've ever lasting life.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I came unto them, he turned a life, and blessed God, they shall never perish.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: So everlasting life is that same Greek word again.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then the same word to use about heaven, Hebrews 9, 15, so you're Peter 5, 10, Luke 16, 19, and so on, so on, oh, I know that's all, that's right, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all, that's all,
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: heaven and how long heaven is going to exist he uses the same great word that he uses when he describes how long he's going to exist.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: So you know what that means?
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: That means that if you go to heaven someday it's going to be in heaven as long as God's there.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't make it happy.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: See, all right, now then if this great word I only else means without in when the Bible talks about God and the Holy Spirit and the rule of Christ
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: and so on.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Then by every law of Bible interpretation and Bible logic, it has to mean the same thing when the Bible talks about hell.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: You young people can see that.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: You can understand that.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: If the Bible does not teach an eternal hell, then it doesn't teach an eternal God either.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: and either does a teach and eternal spirit and either does a teach and eternal heaven and either does a teach and eternal rule of Christ but the Bible does teach and eternal God, the eternal spirit, the eternal life, the eternal heaven, the eternal rule of Christ and then that means also that the teachers need eternal hell, now look to my friends if you can't trust what the Bible teaches about, need eternal hell then you can't trust trust what the Bible teaches about, any thing else, you can't trust what the teacher's about, the eternal heaven or anything else and then you don't have a whole Bible then all you have is a Bible full of holes
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: All right, now we got that settled that hell's going to last forever, all right, one, one or two more questions and one of them is who's going to go to hell in here now?
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there's more than one list in the Bible.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let's take one just quickly.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: Look me a Bible to Revelation 21, look me a verse eight.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: Revelation 21 and verse eight, hell's going to last at least God lives.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: And hell's going to last until somebody can
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: And that ain't never going to be no way.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: You can just put that on.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Revelation 21 and 18.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now here it says, the fearful, I'm believing in your binable murders, whole-mongers, sorcerers, idolaters, no alerts shall have their part in the late, that burns with fire and grim stone, which is the second death.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: The second death simply means everlasting separation from God.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're going to go to hell.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: The first one on the list is not the murderers.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Not the drunkers, not the idolaters.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: The first one on the list.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: or the fearful, that's the cowards.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: See?
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now that may be somebody here tonight, you say, brother Paul, if I die tonight, I go to hell.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: I have never except the Christ.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: I've never been safe.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: I've never been born again.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: You may be religious.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: You may be baptized.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: You may join the church.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: You may be president, young people, society.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: But you know very well.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: You've never really been born again.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: And you're saying, I know if I die tonight, I go to hell.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well, then why don't you get saved tonight?
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: And except Jesus Christ.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: And you know why, tempos don't, they're scared too.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: What does somebody think?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: What is my friend's name?
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Say, and what do I think I know what I work?
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: And what about the people down the office?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: What do I think?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: What do the kids think it's school?
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's easier to think when they find it out.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm scared too.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm scared.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: What do I think?
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: What are my buddies saying when I get home?
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know what you ought to do?
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: You ought to go up, stand up on your hind feet, has got the idea back full like a railroad tie, and say, I don't care what that gang thinks.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to quit being a yellow coward.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to accept Jesus Christ and live for him.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: See, you know what, I'll tell you what hurts me.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's when some big hairy chested guy who thinks that he's got the world by the tail, he kind of struts around and he lands, oh, oh, yeah, Christianity.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's why the weak-minded women and the little kids and the sisters, not for he, man.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: And that same big,
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Husky guy, the reason he's not a Christian is because he's a yellow-livered coward.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: Once you're quick talking about a being for citizens if you're not men enough they've said Jesus Christ.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: The fearful, the coward, the yellow bellies, stared at such Christ and come out in the open for him because what some not had is gonna say or think or some, some dodo's gonna live these eyebrows and make a little fun of it.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Or that's a cheap way to go to hell.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to go to hell.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't go that way.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: I got find me a better way than that.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: All right, who's the next one?
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievers.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: The unbelievers, who are they?
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: They are the Christ rejectors.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: You see, in the Bible, and unbelievers is not just an atheist.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: On infidel, or an agnostic, or an evolutionist.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: It include all of them.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, do you know something?
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: All evolutionists are going to go to hell.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: You say, why?
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because they don't have any Christ.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: You get to heaven through Jesus Christ.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: You get to heaven through Jesus Christ, the Virgin born Son of God.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: and they believe in evolution, they'll believe the Bible, they don't believe that God created man and woman in the garden of E. They don't believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: They believe that Jesus Christ is a master product of evolution.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, if evolution could produce such a great character as Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago, how does it come to that evolution has to produce another one half as good with 2,000 more years of practice?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Now, look, the evolutionist says that Jesus Christ is not the
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this, if Jesus Christ is not the virgin born son of God, then he is an illegitimate child, and in the language of the world, and it's not too bad to work because it's in the King James Version, that Jesus Christ is a bastard.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Let me tell you something.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: You have a looseness out there who insinuate that Jesus Christ is a bastard.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: You can't call Jesus Christ a bastard and go to heaven.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to accept him as your Lord and Savior to get there.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, call over him and spit on him, and cheer at him and make fun of him and go to heaven.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're unbelievers.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: But you may not be an evolution.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: You may not be an atheist.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: You may not be an incidentalance.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: You might believe the Bible is from cover to cover.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: And you might believe every thing that the Bible says about Jesus Christ, but if you don't receive him as your Lord and Savior, you're an unbeliever.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: See, he that believers on the sun had everlasting light.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: He that believers not the sun shall not see you life.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: So my friend, I've got to ask.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: who is going to hell?
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: Are you on the list?
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: You may say I don't like how strongly that old guy made his point.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: You might prefer a little more sugar with the medicine.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: I was say a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: But, friend, please understand the care and the compassion that would provoke Dr. Paul to warn us so severely, so vehemently.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's not playing around with us.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's not just a matter of temporal life or death.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's not just a matter of where you're going to spend the next 100 years or even the next year.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, this is an issue that affects your eternity.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: You think one year, a hundred years, a thousand years, ten thousand or a hundred thousand seems long.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: try on millions, or billions of years eternally separated from God.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's what the Bible teaches.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: And Dr. Paul, though he's since gone on to his eternal reward in heaven, he wanted to warn those young people.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: He got to meet a pastor not long ago, and he got saved.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe not during this message, he got saved under Dr. Paul of Inns preaching, but a blessing that
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: would like to, today.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: The announcement will be on in just a moment telling you all the ways you can contact us with questions.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: Have a great day for his glory.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: We'll continue this message tomorrow.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_02]: God bless.
