- 0:00Speaker 1: Now Mark Simon Show on seven tr.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey and Culter, the great columnist, the best selling author.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Make sure you follow her on Twitter. Also even better
- 0:12Speaker 2: at substack where she's got her columns. He's got her interviews, podcasts, videos,
- 0:17Speaker 2: all sorts of stuff and Culter dot substack dot com
- 0:21Speaker 2: and Culter how you doing fantastic?
- 0:24Speaker 1: John Bolton's been indicted? How about them apples?
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yeah? Boy, he was all over Trump yelling and screaming
- 0:31Speaker 2: way back when that tell's classified documents. You got to
- 0:33Speaker 2: be convicted. You should go to jail. You should bet
- 0:36Speaker 2: he'd like to get back all that video, wouldn't he.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Yes, I think he might also want to get back. Well,
- 0:43Speaker 1: Trump ought to want to get back even hiring Bolton,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I mean that was preposterous. It was one of the
- 0:48Speaker 1: most ridiculous things of term one. And Bolton is a
- 0:53Speaker 1: total neocon, wants to go to war every place all
- 0:56Speaker 1: the time. It was insane. It was completely contrary to
- 0:59Speaker 1: two thousands.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Well, but he always explained the recently hired him was
- 1:03Speaker 2: because he was a warmonger and it was just a
- 1:05Speaker 2: scare of ran scaredybody to see Bolton in the room.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It didn't seem to really scare of them, but it
- 1:11Speaker 1: should have scared Trump in any event. The indictment, it's
- 1:16Speaker 1: very different, very different coverage on CNN and MSNBC, I
- 1:19Speaker 1: suppose because this prosecution was started under Joe Biden, and
- 1:25Speaker 1: prosecutors under Joe Biden described it as very troubling. And
- 1:29Speaker 1: oh my gosh, she does sound troubling, sending thousands of
- 1:34Speaker 1: classified documents to family members who do not have security clearances,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and then his email gets hacked by Iran. So well,
- 1:44Speaker 1: this if true, this sounds like quite a case.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm confused though. I thought that Democrats didn't like neocons.
- 1:53Speaker 2: This is the first neo kon they love, isn't it.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Uh, Basically, anyone who was against Trump they're going to like,
- 2:02Speaker 1: even if it is completely contrary to everything they've always
- 2:05Speaker 1: said and believed. I mean, you know, suddenly they love
- 2:10Speaker 1: human traffickers. That's a little kind of an odd position
- 2:15Speaker 1: for them. They will not give up on how much
- 2:18Speaker 1: they love transing children despite its overwhelming unpopularity, and in fact,
- 2:26Speaker 1: you know, thanks to probably in part Trump and the
- 2:29Speaker 1: American public, apparently these children trans operations and transitions have
- 2:36Speaker 1: plummeted in the last year so that's good news. We
- 2:39Speaker 1: will someday look back on this period as something probably
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, akin to Mengale, where the medical profession just
- 2:49Speaker 1: did something so hideously horrible, deforming and harming people, and
- 2:55Speaker 1: they did it for the money, made a lot of
- 2:58Speaker 1: money on the transgender stuff.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Hey, and cult it. This is the everywhere all over
- 3:02Speaker 2: America tomorrow No Kings protest. What exactly is a No
- 3:05Speaker 2: King's protest? I'm not sure what they're protesting.
- 3:10Speaker 1: No, it doesn't make any sense, and it's a very
- 3:13Speaker 1: dumb name. I mean, I'd heard about it sort of
- 3:15Speaker 1: in the background. They did this once before. I mean,
- 3:18Speaker 1: it sounds like, you know, six Kings Day. It doesn't
- 3:21Speaker 1: sound at all. What Usually Liberals are so good at
- 3:24Speaker 1: slogans and naming things. Boy, did they blow it here.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It makes no sense. It is not focused. No one
- 3:32Speaker 1: hears it and thinks, oh, that must refer to Trump,
- 3:35Speaker 1: which I gather, like everything else they ever do, that
- 3:39Speaker 1: they're meaning to refer to Trump.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah. No, it's the silliest thing in the world. What
- 3:45Speaker 2: did Mike Johnson call it the Hate America Rally tomorrow?
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, see, that's at least descriptive.
- 3:52Speaker 2: But is this the problem the Democrats have. They're so
- 3:54Speaker 2: busy resisting, hating, go after Trump, they've forgot to debate issues,
- 3:58Speaker 2: and they're just not doing that anymore.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yes, and I will say one thing that I will
- 4:05Speaker 1: give Trump enormous credit for. We've talked about government shutdowns before.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I've lived through a lot of government shutdowns in Washington,
- 4:14Speaker 1: and just as a political observer, I've never seen a
- 4:17Speaker 1: government shutdown that doesn't within like five minutes start hurting Republicans,
- 4:22Speaker 1: or at least that's what the media claims. Who knows,
- 4:25Speaker 1: We've never tried to say, nope, we're not capitulating. This
- 4:28Speaker 1: is the first time I can remember Republicans not immediately capitulating.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And boy, doesn't seem to have hurt them.
- 4:34Speaker 2: No. In fact, you look at these rules. Congressmen and
- 4:39Speaker 2: women still get paid, but the staff doesn't get paid.
- 4:43Speaker 2: How did that happen?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not so good. They that's a bypart is
- 4:52Speaker 1: an issue, is my guess. Except for a few very
- 4:55Speaker 1: principled individuals, I would assume, like Thomas Massey and a
- 4:59Speaker 1: few others, you know, paying themselves is usually pretty bipartisan.
- 5:05Speaker 1: But I haven't checked, so maybe I shouldn't slanunder my
- 5:07Speaker 1: side on that. But no, this is I mean, I
- 5:11Speaker 1: think a lot of us have been saying this for
- 5:12Speaker 1: a while that if you don't run scared from from
- 5:15Speaker 1: the media. Uh, and if your position is correct, as
- 5:19Speaker 1: it certainly is here, Democrats shutting down the government so
- 5:24Speaker 1: mostly so that illegals can get you know, the subsidies
- 5:28Speaker 1: and full health care. Well, that's that's fantastic. I can't
- 5:32Speaker 1: imagine how they think that's going to be popular with
- 5:35Speaker 1: with Americans. And this was, as John Fetterman Blessed his
- 5:40Speaker 1: Heart said yesterday, this was in the original Democrat past bill,
- 5:45Speaker 1: this sunset provision. You're acting like Republicans have foisted this armor. No,
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's in the bill. So you're shutting down the government
- 5:55Speaker 1: for something you wrote into law. Uh and most don't
- 6:00Speaker 1: want so great.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, CBS News, they've brought in Barry Weiss to
- 6:06Speaker 2: straighten out CBS News, make it more balanced, more fair.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You think that'll actually work? Are we beginning a new
- 6:13Speaker 2: era of fair news? Oh?
- 6:17Speaker 1: My gosh, I hope. So. It seems it's always baffled
- 6:21Speaker 1: me since I wrote slander about how the media slanders Republicans.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Willy Nilly, I wondered why it would be so so easy.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You know, they have these these fights for the ratings.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It would be so easy for some network to say, Okay,
- 6:36Speaker 1: that's it, We're going to be fair and start stealing
- 6:39Speaker 1: voter or viewers. Have you can totally crush Look at
- 6:44Speaker 1: Fox News. It's not even that good, but it gives
- 6:46Speaker 1: both sides. You can hear things you want to hear
- 6:48Speaker 1: on any other network about how about some other network
- 6:52Speaker 1: try that?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yeah, how about some website try it?
- 6:55Speaker 1: And the political what's the websites do? I mean, this
- 6:58Speaker 1: is why I'm a huge defense of social media and
- 7:01Speaker 1: I'm opposed to these ridiculous attacks on get your children
- 7:04Speaker 1: off their phones. No, No, social media is the one
- 7:08Speaker 1: place we can go to get the truth. We certainly
- 7:10Speaker 1: can't get it from TV news. We can't get it
- 7:12Speaker 1: from the major mainstream media. They have foisted hoax after
- 7:17Speaker 1: hoax after hoax hon us, starting with with Dan Rather
- 7:21Speaker 1: and his claim about President George Bush shirking his his
- 7:26Speaker 1: his military service. Well, how is that exposed social media?
- 7:31Speaker 1: This is I see why liberals want to pretend, oh,
- 7:33Speaker 1: this is so bad for you and impact the evidence.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Just by the way, I will be writing about this again,
- 7:38Speaker 1: but the evidence is quite to the contrary. These games
- 7:41Speaker 1: young men play, they are way better educational devices than
- 7:44Speaker 1: the public schools, way better.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Well that's not hard. I mean that's pretty.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Fair point.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Hey, you know what you're talking about the things that
- 7:56Speaker 2: are slanted. Okay, expected CBS, ABC, but something like Police
- 8:00Speaker 2: to Go, you wouldn't expect it to be so biased
- 8:02Speaker 2: and so slanted. What where do you go for a
- 8:06Speaker 2: non partisan website? Is there such a thing?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny you say that. I was just noticing that. Well,
- 8:12Speaker 1: of course you can come to and called their dot
- 8:15Speaker 1: suvisac dot com, Real clear Politics, Bright bart Uh, Daily Caller.
- 8:23Speaker 1: And now we have the American version of the UK Spectator,
- 8:26Speaker 1: which is spectacular and appears in magazine form. You know,
- 8:30Speaker 1: see many magazines are very slick, attractive magazine they're really smart,
- 8:33Speaker 1: great writers. And the Twitter Twitter, of course Twitter? What
- 8:38Speaker 1: am I? How can I be forgetting about that? Yeah?
- 8:41Speaker 1: Because you have the entire world searching for articles that
- 8:46Speaker 1: may be of interest to you. You find which people
- 8:48Speaker 1: to follow, who posts real articles that turn out to
- 8:51Speaker 1: be true, and who posts you know, nonsense conspiracy theory.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So I mean, if you want to keep up with
- 8:56Speaker 1: the conspiracy theories, go ahead and follow them. But if
- 8:58Speaker 1: you don't, don't follow them. Twitter. I mean Twitter has
- 9:02Speaker 1: everything and has it immediately.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's still the best place for uh if you
- 9:07Speaker 2: want like instant reaction coverage whatever. Twitter is still the
- 9:10Speaker 2: best place. And what's that one? The liberals all use
- 9:13Speaker 2: what's it called blue Sky or something.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I've heard of it, but mostly as a punchline. I mean,
- 9:18Speaker 1: this is such a sissy thing for liberals to do.
- 9:22Speaker 1: The original Twitter was so great back before they had
- 9:27Speaker 1: all these controls and shadow bands in because because you
- 9:31Speaker 1: could it was liberals and conservatives. Are you doing talking
- 9:35Speaker 1: to one another? You could tweak a New York Times reporter?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Why are they so afraid of debate even online where
- 9:42Speaker 1: they have time to think about what they're saying and
- 9:44Speaker 1: if they're they're you know, really triggered by by jokes
- 9:49Speaker 1: being told by by right wingers. Okay, don't follow those
- 9:52Speaker 1: right wingers. I've never understood why there should be any
- 9:56Speaker 1: censorship on Twitter. If you don't like what someone's saying,
- 9:59Speaker 1: if it's really that's scary to you to see another
- 10:01Speaker 1: point of view, don't follow that person. And it won't
- 10:05Speaker 1: show up in your feet.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Good point. Well, we're out of time, but everybody follow
- 10:08Speaker 2: and Culture on Twitter. Great stuff there, even better as substacks.
