- 3:00Speaker 6: That Ringmasters.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Sign?
- 3:05Speaker 6: Wait the road sign? No smashing, Slam.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Smash and slam Slam. Also got a bent on card
- 3:12Speaker 5: Classic Ric Flair, a very rare Kevin Nash loose figure
- 3:19Speaker 5: mantel that.
- 3:21Speaker 6: You're a sick.
- 3:22Speaker 5: I got some good stuff coming up this week.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I'll have some men on card w F bendoms. I
- 3:27Speaker 2: think I'm going to dig out a cool piece of
- 3:29Speaker 2: ring gear.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Uh.
- 3:31Speaker 6: Pretty fun. I've been enjoying it.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Also, for everyone's knowledge, the Whatnot Major pod network has
- 3:39Speaker 2: expanded a little bit because the Card Foundation boys debut
- 3:42Speaker 2: their show this week. They will be the silk Stockings,
- 3:46Speaker 2: if you will, of our what Tita Flaminikita. They will
- 3:51Speaker 2: follow us each and every Monday exclusively with pro wrestling cards.
- 3:54Speaker 6: I saw them.
- 3:55Speaker 2: They had an awesome debut stream and they were like
- 3:58Speaker 2: just ripping a product packs and all kinds of stuff.
- 4:01Speaker 6: So check it out.
- 4:01Speaker 5: That's cool. That sounds fun. That this thing is actually
- 4:05Speaker 5: made perfectly for cards and breaks and things like that.
- 4:08Speaker 6: It's really it's just fun. It's fun.
- 4:10Speaker 2: If you love this hobby like we all do. And
- 4:12Speaker 2: you can be on there and interact and it's just
- 4:14Speaker 2: it's a really unique tool.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I will be selling an aw Chase figure. I will
- 4:21Speaker 1: be selling some ring worn gear, and of course every
- 4:25Speaker 1: week the Brosky Funko Pop Purge.
- 4:29Speaker 6: People got some steals on those this week.
- 4:31Speaker 5: I will tell you this, Broski is these look. Some
- 4:37Speaker 5: things go for a little bit more, but these pops
- 4:39Speaker 5: have been going. If you're a pop collector, you gotta
- 4:42Speaker 5: take Brosky's money because because people are getting steels on those.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So at this point, guys, I just kind of want
- 4:51Speaker 1: them out of here.
- 4:51Speaker 5: I don't blame you, don't blame you at all.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Let's get them the fuck out of here, all right.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So some weekly purchases, guys, I say this, man, Yeah,
- 5:03Speaker 1: not a lot of stuff from me. I got, I said,
- 5:05Speaker 1: I have a lot of stuff. Oh, you have a
- 5:06Speaker 1: lot of stuff. I got the mcfoley book The Most
- 5:11Speaker 1: Miserable Christmas. I got it for the third time. My
- 5:14Speaker 1: my dogs ate two this season, so I got my
- 5:17Speaker 1: third one. I have to buy because I'm in the book.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm in the book.
- 5:21Speaker 6: We'll put it in a safe place. For the love
- 5:24Speaker 6: of God. Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I mean, luckily it's that Christmases anymore, so it won't
- 5:27Speaker 1: be out for them to eat. Hopefully next year they
- 5:29Speaker 1: won't want to eat it.
- 5:30Speaker 2: So I got that.
- 5:33Speaker 6: That's one thing I got.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Should we get right into what I'm mostly excited about
- 5:37Speaker 2: this week? Well, what's that unrivaled series eight Ringside Collectibles?
- 5:46Speaker 4: No?
- 5:46Speaker 5: Okay, cool? Nice?
- 5:47Speaker 6: All right.
- 5:48Speaker 5: I didn't get the full set, but I did get Christen.
- 5:51Speaker 2: The Galaxy's favorite alien Chris style in a trained by
- 5:54Speaker 2: creator pro. I'm just couldn't be more proud of her.
- 5:57Speaker 2: This figure rules I did on boxing that will be
- 5:59Speaker 2: up in her new channel. I also went to BSk
- 6:03Speaker 2: and I I told he wanted to, you know, he
- 6:06Speaker 2: helped you know, train Chris and their great friends, so
- 6:08Speaker 2: like it was very important for him too. And as
- 6:10Speaker 2: soon as John said she was in, we showed up
- 6:12Speaker 2: at ten am the next morning and we were just
- 6:14Speaker 2: so pumped to uh add her to our collection. I
- 6:17Speaker 2: had I got.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Eight, that's the final number.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I got eight and one of them I we went
- 6:24Speaker 2: to rings I had ten am to get these and
- 6:27Speaker 2: then we had like whatever. I had like a two
- 6:29Speaker 2: pm flight out, you know, so it was like you
- 6:31Speaker 2: know had to be done, you know, more important than
- 6:33Speaker 2: packing for impact for Vinnie and I and I brought
- 6:36Speaker 2: one to Caleb with the k to give to her
- 6:38Speaker 2: so she could get as soon as possible too. So
- 6:40Speaker 2: one of those eight went to her, but my seven,
- 6:43Speaker 2: my seven year all intact and all went to their
- 6:45Speaker 2: There are places, but I'm just pumped, and I've actually
- 6:48Speaker 2: been so busy they haven't been able to open the
- 6:51Speaker 2: rest of the set. I'm not going to do the
- 6:53Speaker 2: whole set on the show because I think that's just
- 6:55Speaker 2: be two time soon. But I would love helping the
- 6:57Speaker 2: best friends here right.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Now, Chuck and Trench.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And I asked you a question with the Chris Statlander though,
- 7:01Speaker 1: first listen, I think everyone deserves a figure, especially Chris.
- 7:07Speaker 1: But I feel like her figure came out like so
- 7:11Speaker 1: fast based on what she was doing on TV.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I don't have the answer to that. But longer, this
- 7:19Speaker 2: is a she's injured and this is her return because
- 7:24Speaker 2: they made it's unbelievable by the way, guys, I mean
- 7:26Speaker 2: that's the knee race and stuff and hits on this.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Theory this so when it when she gets injured, she's
- 7:38Speaker 5: clearly in line to be one of the first girls
- 7:41Speaker 5: to get a figure.
- 7:42Speaker 2: That's what I think. I think they had it pretty
- 7:44Speaker 2: far down the line and then pivoted a little bit.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Is what she was scanned way back? Okay, she's coming back,
- 7:51Speaker 5: she did she This is the gear that she came
- 7:53Speaker 5: back in. So they just took that or whatever to
- 7:57Speaker 5: whatever they had already made and sweet it even a
- 7:59Speaker 5: little bit.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Even the fact that they were able to make that
- 8:01Speaker 1: switch and the figures already in your hand right now
- 8:03Speaker 1: is fast?
- 8:05Speaker 6: When did Mark? When did she come back before?
- 8:08Speaker 5: I started with a wo like January, maybe.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Like exactly a year, right, Yeah, so.
- 8:15Speaker 5: A year to make a pivot and change a couple
- 8:19Speaker 5: things in some deco. I think that's possible.
- 8:22Speaker 6: I don't like anything. It's great.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I like to think that she was pretty far along
- 8:26Speaker 2: because she was getting pretty in a pretty good spot
- 8:28Speaker 2: and then got hurt.
- 8:29Speaker 6: They just had it. It's kind of sitting on it
- 8:31Speaker 6: and kind of just diders need to do.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Now, how many females have they made? So there's five if.
- 8:37Speaker 2: There's one in every set, almost in every set now
- 8:40Speaker 2: because it's Brandy, we have Brandy Rio, Rio, Chetah, britt
- 8:47Speaker 2: Nila Rose, Wow, Ty Kanti, Chris, we know thunder Ross
- 8:53Speaker 2: and a pre order right and ring Hey, there's a
- 8:56Speaker 2: lot Anna Jays on pre order.
- 8:58Speaker 6: That's wow.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I I need to get a bunny Bunny.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Yeah, that okay, that's so.
- 9:04Speaker 1: That and and all the FEMA affairs are great.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they're really good. Honestly, they're I don't think there's
- 9:10Speaker 2: been one that's not been like pretty like exceptional.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Right oftentimes best in the set. Yeah, but it's got
- 9:16Speaker 5: a few different versions. Rio's got the two versions as well, right.
- 9:23Speaker 5: But so the Christen thing, I was very excited. I
- 9:25Speaker 5: I got I only got that from John from Ringside,
- 9:29Speaker 5: but I'm going to get the rest of the set.
- 9:31Speaker 5: But but my daughter was blown away by it. Now,
- 9:33Speaker 5: I think this is the first person that she like
- 9:36Speaker 5: knew other than me, which he doesn't give a crap about,
- 9:42Speaker 5: the first person that she knew that had an action figure.
- 9:44Speaker 5: And she was like very taken back by it and
- 9:46Speaker 5: asked for it.
- 9:47Speaker 6: That's really cool.
- 9:48Speaker 5: So I so I gave it to her. But yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 5: my daughter really likes Kristen. She's just like a very
- 9:54Speaker 5: warm person. And I could see why my my my
- 9:56Speaker 5: daughter would sort of like, uh, I don't know, I
- 9:59Speaker 5: want want to be with, you know, around or whatever.
- 10:02Speaker 2: So this Chuck e d is great. Wow, that's great.
- 10:07Speaker 6: He's got like the floppy like kick pads. Oh yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Jacket is the super soft style, so it's not like
- 10:16Speaker 2: you know, it's rubber, but it's not like stiff as
- 10:18Speaker 2: a board, and it's easy to come off. I guess
- 10:21Speaker 2: the only think you get, I mean, not a lot of
- 10:22Speaker 2: deco hits, but I think that's just what this gear is.
- 10:26Speaker 6: Kentucky gentleman on his bum.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Best Friend's low key one of my favorite entrance themes.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Best Friend.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Chuck is a tall some bitch, just evenly tall. How's
- 10:37Speaker 1: this figure in regards to other figures. He's a little
- 10:42Speaker 1: bigger than Waltman here. I like that he's not jacked,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you know, per se.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I think that's a fair assessment of Chuck Taylor's physique.
- 10:54Speaker 6: And it's got trent, which I can't believe. He's already
- 10:58Speaker 6: pretty outdated.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Also, while you're opening that, we talked about it in person,
- 11:04Speaker 5: Brian that the tattoos on Kristen are insane.
- 11:06Speaker 6: There's I didn't even know she had that many tattoos.
- 11:10Speaker 5: I know, it's so detailed him like, looking at the
- 11:13Speaker 5: arm has a New York State of Mind tattooed.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I'm like, when I didn't know she had that. There's
- 11:16Speaker 2: one in her in like her leg you can see
- 11:18Speaker 2: through the ribbon. There's one on her shoulder blade. It's
- 11:21Speaker 2: like it's really a lot of attention to detailed there. Yeah,
- 11:24Speaker 2: and it comes Trenton. I wish.
- 11:28Speaker 6: I wish the set came with a bill of Sue.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Very cool.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I still think bro, hear me out, there's rings Ez
- 11:35Speaker 1: exclusive van.
- 11:36Speaker 2: With Sue if it's the box even if like, yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 2: I think it could, there's something there for sure, It's
- 11:44Speaker 2: been on TV enough. I think Strandon's great. It's just weird,
- 11:48Speaker 2: Like it's weird. We know that it's completely and acurate,
- 11:50Speaker 2: Like it's supposed to be gray gear, but it's black gear.
- 11:52Speaker 2: That to me, that's like, but I feel like he
- 11:56Speaker 2: has this gear very similar in black, like so it's
- 11:58Speaker 2: not like you know what I mean, It's not like
- 12:01Speaker 2: criminally nuts. Someone else pointed out that this set is
- 12:05Speaker 2: like no extra hands, which is kind of the whole set,
- 12:10Speaker 2: and Mark brought up to my attention that a boop
- 12:12Speaker 2: finger for Kristen would have really hit the spot. That
- 12:14Speaker 2: might be the only thing that I think would have
- 12:16Speaker 2: missed that from being oh yeah, yeah, this trend is
- 12:22Speaker 2: actually really sick. I was originally thinking about sending it
- 12:26Speaker 2: to Dave Wheeler to scalp him, but I don't think
- 12:28Speaker 2: it's possible because it's just too much hair.
- 12:32Speaker 5: To scalp him. Nah, but he's gonna give another one.
- 12:36Speaker 6: It's great. It's actually really cool.
- 12:39Speaker 5: Hell of a match on rampage Trends.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I saw that that clip that he won was a
- 12:46Speaker 1: goddamn thank god, you know.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I got back to my hotel room and just
- 12:49Speaker 2: caught that whole match. It was nuts, and I like,
- 12:52Speaker 2: how like they can't do Bill Murray in his knee bed.
- 12:53Speaker 2: It kind of looks like a possessed Tony soprano, though
- 12:56Speaker 2: I don't know what that is now.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I haven't stared at Trent's crotch recently, but he used
- 13:02Speaker 1: to have like the Brian Pillman style in the crotches
- 13:05Speaker 1: that on this figure.
- 13:06Speaker 6: I don't know if he does that anymore, and it's
- 13:08Speaker 6: not on the figure.
- 13:09Speaker 1: So do you know what I'm talking about? Right?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yes, but I don't know if he does that anymore. Okay,
- 13:17Speaker 2: but yeah, so uh yeah, I've been so busy I've
- 13:19Speaker 2: been able to open the rest of the set. Obviously,
- 13:20Speaker 2: it's Painmaker Jericho, which I actually think is really cool
- 13:23Speaker 2: because it's such a different departure from the other Jerichos,
- 13:26Speaker 2: even though it's like, you know, his alter ego or whatever.
- 13:29Speaker 2: If you will, a new Max which is perfect timing,
- 13:33Speaker 2: and uh, what am I missing? Oh? The new Orange
- 13:37Speaker 2: Cassidy so which I don't think there's much there to
- 13:39Speaker 2: talk about, but I'll uh if people want to know,
- 13:42Speaker 2: I'll fill him in next week if you want to
- 13:43Speaker 2: keep going. But Ring Psychcollectible Series eight Unrivaled, which I
- 13:46Speaker 2: think is a really cool set.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Have we talked about Series ninety two? Elite Series ninety two?
- 13:54Speaker 5: Did we already talk about that?
- 13:55Speaker 6: Like, no, we have not. All that came in like
- 13:56Speaker 6: the next day. I want to say, after we recorded.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Yeah, so you didn't get it?
- 13:59Speaker 6: You want to talk you No, we didn't. I'm saying
- 14:03Speaker 6: we didn't talk, do it?
- 14:06Speaker 2: Baby?
- 14:06Speaker 6: I went and got I love I loved it. Man.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I think it's like some people are like, this is
- 14:12Speaker 2: ninety five seventy players, like yeah, but like we don't
- 14:15Speaker 2: have one like that.
- 14:16Speaker 6: You need it.
- 14:16Speaker 2: It's a different departure. It's a part of his career.
- 14:19Speaker 2: You know what I mean? You need it?
- 14:21Speaker 1: How wild is it up to Elite ninety two?
- 14:24Speaker 6: That's what I've really want to know.
- 14:27Speaker 2: If there's plans for one hundred, like special plans like
- 14:30Speaker 2: the Basics ones, you know that cool?
- 14:32Speaker 5: It's really crazy when you think you have.
- 14:33Speaker 6: To do something to acknowledge it.
- 14:35Speaker 5: We're look, they're making toys right now. Uh that are
- 14:42Speaker 5: like tribute lines to bone Crunchers that had nine series.
- 14:47Speaker 5: I know, think this is ninety two.
- 14:50Speaker 6: Has anything in toy history ever got that far? I
- 14:54Speaker 6: don't think so.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Well. Basics was the number was the highest set has
- 14:58Speaker 1: ever gotten, So you have we can almost write that off.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Those are those are hanging on by a thread in
- 15:04Speaker 2: my opinion, But it's another story.
- 15:07Speaker 6: Basics.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Well, I love the Flare. I love that. Pregntver wrong.
- 15:14Speaker 1: This is the first time they've ever put the Flare
- 15:16Speaker 1: knee pads.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Below the knees, I guess, yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 5: But oh wow, Okay, I like that in the package, Yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 5: in the package. Yeah, this shirt is great, fits like
- 15:30Speaker 5: snug around the arms.
- 15:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I normally wouldn't display something like that, but I thought
- 15:33Speaker 2: the shirt was pretty cool, and I feel like I
- 15:34Speaker 2: do remember him just coming out and cutting promos in
- 15:37Speaker 2: the ramp looking like that, you know, in that early
- 15:39Speaker 2: early night show era.
- 15:40Speaker 5: I have so many flares and robes. This is perfect.
- 15:43Speaker 5: This is a perfect addition.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Now we we get you know, so many and they
- 15:50Speaker 1: don't even do the correct mike. You can't say f
- 15:53Speaker 1: but the attitude of are microphones. So it's like, all right,
- 15:56Speaker 1: I get every guy because of the attitude of a microphone.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I won't display with it, but we don't get many
- 16:00Speaker 1: W C W mics, So I'm gonna keep this one
- 16:04Speaker 1: in his hand.
- 16:04Speaker 6: Dude.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I literally kept it, like literally the way it is
- 16:07Speaker 2: in the package and displayed it because it's I'm gonna
- 16:09Speaker 2: switch him.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Give him aforehand.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah I did.
- 16:11Speaker 6: I did that too, sorry, yes.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Fourhand the mic boom right there in the thing, the
- 16:15Speaker 5: forestman shirt.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah what this has bothered me. And this is me
- 16:19Speaker 1: being nippicky. The microphone has the w.
- 16:23Speaker 2: W E logo, the new era w E logo.
- 16:27Speaker 6: Like, oh okay one on the other side.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, whatever, I mean, if you can, that's not
- 16:37Speaker 2: gonna face god.
- 16:38Speaker 5: I love this.
- 16:39Speaker 1: This is what.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah, And I was just.
- 16:43Speaker 5: A ninety six Nitro this week four Horsemen versus uh,
- 16:49Speaker 5: Rock and Roll, Express and Renegade and somebody else. Grace
- 16:53Speaker 5: and he's in gear like this.
- 16:54Speaker 2: It's the green.
- 16:55Speaker 1: The tape fingers.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Tape fingers makes a big difference.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I think, oh my god, Yeah, I can get rid
- 17:01Speaker 1: of my basic flare like this.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that thing is gone. Brother, I'm cuting send it
- 17:07Speaker 2: to whatnot. No, well, you're a complete this but I
- 17:09Speaker 2: love this flair.
- 17:13Speaker 5: The I didn't get any of the rest of the set,
- 17:15Speaker 5: but that's the mysterio. Charlotte and Sky.
- 17:19Speaker 6: I grabbed Adam cold and it's sick. It's very nice.
- 17:22Speaker 5: Figure man, Well, you need a scarlet for the desk.
- 17:25Speaker 6: I have that right, I have a basic okay.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Yeah, also from Ringside since we're here, I got another
- 17:32Speaker 1: one of those Aubrey rings for the ring Side exclusive
- 17:36Speaker 1: because the one I got previously, like the box, wasn't
- 17:38Speaker 1: minty mint. It wasn't Ringside's fault. It's actually from the whever,
- 17:43Speaker 1: whether FedEx or whatever USPS smashed it ups. I need
- 17:46Speaker 1: a new one. And then they also set me. I
- 17:49Speaker 1: ordered the Andre the Giant Massive w Universe because I, uh,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I want to take off all the outfits, so it's
- 17:57Speaker 1: a pure superstars to go to that line. And I
- 18:02Speaker 1: don't know if I talked about it last week. A
- 18:05Speaker 1: little follow up, I got one of those jyds. I
- 18:08Speaker 1: opened it up and the chain was broken again. But
- 18:12Speaker 1: the chain was broken before. I was like, Okay, I'm
- 18:15Speaker 1: gonna delicately take this chain out. It was already broken
- 18:18Speaker 1: in the package.
- 18:19Speaker 5: Man, there's something yeah.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Yeah, And.
- 18:23Speaker 1: They're not gonna fix it because the Lion's dead and
- 18:26Speaker 1: then they've produced all.
- 18:28Speaker 6: It's just it's just a it's a strikeout whatever.
- 18:31Speaker 1: So I got to ask John one more time, Hey,
- 18:33Speaker 1: when you said I'm going to order another jyd can
- 18:35Speaker 1: you please checks It's not Ring Sign's fault. But they
- 18:37Speaker 1: must be getting so many complaints about it they have to.
- 18:41Speaker 6: Which is unfortunate because it's not their problem. But that sucks.
- 18:44Speaker 1: It's not their fault.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Also, I'm looking at the box of the Rick Flair
- 18:47Speaker 5: by the way, I got to just look at the
- 18:49Speaker 5: look at the hair, the mom hair on the box.
- 18:53Speaker 2: That's like, Rick Flair is a legend and you need
- 18:56Speaker 2: all incarnations of him, and like this is one that
- 18:58Speaker 2: was missing.
- 19:00Speaker 5: I like this figure so much I wanted to because
- 19:02Speaker 5: in my mind, I'm going to get a bunch of
- 19:04Speaker 5: midtn card Flare signed.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Oh that's cool.
- 19:08Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Maybe someday he's he's somewhere, we're going to be well.
- 19:12Speaker 5: He canceled the one that Kanick was going to go to.
- 19:15Speaker 6: Yeah, but since then there's something else I can't remember.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I also want to thank John from Ringside gave me
- 19:20Speaker 1: a very generous wedding gift, the Major Pod belt and shirt,
- 19:27Speaker 1: the ones that we put out a couple years ago,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and the Stomp in Paradise two pac. They were limited
- 19:31Speaker 1: edition number twenty three of all of them, so I
- 19:34Speaker 1: don't know if he was just saving these. Hope I
- 19:35Speaker 1: get married one day.
- 19:36Speaker 6: He's the magic man. How do you do that?
- 19:38Speaker 1: You know?
- 19:38Speaker 6: I said?
- 19:39Speaker 1: And then he also gave me the prototype of our
- 19:42Speaker 1: masked figures. That's cool, So, Brian, I think you need
- 19:45Speaker 1: to get divorced and remarried to get yours. I know
- 19:47Speaker 1: what am I supposed to do? I don't know, but
- 19:49Speaker 1: thank you very much. I appreciate that John. And he
- 19:52Speaker 1: gave me gift card to Disney Big Box. Might get
- 19:56Speaker 1: an expensive meal and Epcot and buy some souvenirs that
- 20:00Speaker 1: Hell yeah, well guys, how about it's is that the
- 20:06Speaker 1: Walmart one Walmart exclusive Sting up in here with that
- 20:10Speaker 1: Darby face paint? Where do you get that?
- 20:13Speaker 6: Made a little trade ski with Johnny Row. Thank you.
- 20:15Speaker 6: Shout out to Jonathan Rowe got him.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Wow, this is you know, it's crazy, dude, Like it
- 20:21Speaker 2: might not show through on the camera here, but there's
- 20:24Speaker 2: all these like little wrinkles and the long sleeved shirt
- 20:27Speaker 2: and it like really makes this figure.
- 20:29Speaker 6: Yes, it's like when you see.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Sting on TV, he's wearing this long sleeve shirt and
- 20:33Speaker 2: it just looks that way and like it's pretty incredible,
- 20:37Speaker 2: really cool figure. And actually I think this is the
- 20:39Speaker 2: most I think accurate to Sting that you see every
- 20:43Speaker 2: week because he doesn't wear the coat.
- 20:45Speaker 6: He just comes out like this, now, you know.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And I love the hair, the light hair.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Yeah, the light hair for sure, Yeah, I like it.
- 20:51Speaker 2: And the other one has the light hair too that
- 20:52Speaker 2: I'm looking at.
- 20:53Speaker 5: But still I'm absolutely planning on getting that. And I
- 20:56Speaker 5: only display one of each, but I think I'm gonna
- 20:58Speaker 5: do that one and the other one just because it's
- 21:00Speaker 5: staying and it's different and whatever.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Pretty damn cool, awesome from from our good friends at Zobi.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I got some awesome back to the Future sneakers and
- 21:11Speaker 1: then Mark, I show you a picture. You said you
- 21:12Speaker 1: got a variant to them, and it's a little different.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Yeah, it's so weird. I so yours have the black soul.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Mine has the white soul. I didn't even know there
- 21:19Speaker 5: was different ones.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't know either.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I probably would have picked a black soul because it
- 21:24Speaker 5: doesn't get as dirty. But it's pretty good. I've already
- 21:27Speaker 5: worn them.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It's great.
- 21:28Speaker 1: We're working on a little partnership with them. Great, great website,
- 21:32Speaker 1: a lot of cool stuff.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I pitched that for them, culture collectibles.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Check them out.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Yeah, it's great and like way way more things than
- 21:39Speaker 5: we talk about. I pitched them to my brother and
- 21:42Speaker 5: his girlfriend this weekend and they went down a rabbit
- 21:44Speaker 5: hole looking at stuff. I mean, Lord of the Rings.
- 21:48Speaker 2: It's you know, I sit with Mackenzie and we just
- 21:51Speaker 2: think of like whatever McKenzie's into and type it in.
- 21:54Speaker 5: It's really cool. And they're not paying us for ads yet.
- 21:57Speaker 2: So yeah, that's a pluck. And if you like to
- 22:00Speaker 2: buy shit on the internet, yeah, okay. Anyway, So another
- 22:04Speaker 2: another toy Hunt. Pure toy Hunt video is coming to
- 22:07Speaker 2: our YouTube channel. This time we went to Bits and
- 22:10Speaker 2: Buttons in Fort Lauda Dell Fraud Fort Laudadale, Florida. I
- 22:14Speaker 2: bought Brian vsk Zicky Dice. We went twitch his own
- 22:18Speaker 2: the outlandish Zicky Dice debuting is in a toy Hunt.
- 22:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 1: First of all, first time we ever saw our Super
- 22:25Speaker 1: Seven's on the shelf, which was really really cool. They're
- 22:29Speaker 1: just on the shelf. Because uh, I love that. I
- 22:32Speaker 1: ended up buying a stunt Action Superstars Triple H that
- 22:37Speaker 1: does the miss spit. I bought it because I never
- 22:40Speaker 1: had it and I want to do it for an episode,
- 22:42Speaker 1: to let it breathe and see how well it really
- 22:43Speaker 1: missed or does it just like a shoot out like
- 22:45Speaker 1: a water gunued? What do you think of the store, Brian?
- 22:48Speaker 6: When you went, it was.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Really cool, so great, great great store, great selection, two
- 22:53Speaker 2: like rooms full of like you know, all the brands
- 22:55Speaker 2: and genres you could you could want.
- 22:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:57Speaker 2: I scooped up this, uh Waltman just because I knew
- 23:01Speaker 2: what we were doing, and I grabbed it kind of
- 23:02Speaker 2: in good good karma.
- 23:05Speaker 6: I also, you know it's funny.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I grabbed a loose, uh basic hornswoggle figure, and I
- 23:13Speaker 2: was I wanted to just put it in like Gallow's
- 23:15Speaker 2: boot or Tommy Dreamers sneaker or something. And then, uh,
- 23:18Speaker 2: I had such a busy day. I had a wild
- 23:21Speaker 2: match with Big Casts Slash w Morrisey that I can't
- 23:24Speaker 2: wait to theirs. But I got just so busy and
- 23:27Speaker 2: I forgot to do it. And then I saw Dylan
- 23:29Speaker 2: in the morning and he said something that he needed
- 23:31Speaker 2: to want to go. Dude, I just grabbed one yesterday.
- 23:33Speaker 2: It was this weird figure fait, so it was cool too,
- 23:36Speaker 2: so I gave it.
- 23:36Speaker 5: He saved Tommy Dreamers boot.
- 23:38Speaker 2: So unfortunately, yes, Brian, I know you got this. Also,
- 23:43Speaker 2: I was gonna do a little live on boxing with
- 23:45Speaker 2: you pal cowboy Bob Warding from Legends. So we found
- 23:48Speaker 2: out why me and you we both found just hurricanes
- 23:51Speaker 2: at the store, and why we both got Bob Board's.
- 23:53Speaker 2: These are ship for mattel By the Superstar. So it's
- 23:57Speaker 2: not a mixed mixing, which is baffling to me, because
- 24:01Speaker 2: I got I pre ordered all these from Target when
- 24:04Speaker 2: they came up, So then I got the email and
- 24:06Speaker 2: I was like ooh, And then I clicked it and
- 24:07Speaker 2: it's like, just your cowboy bob Orton is coming, And
- 24:10Speaker 2: I'm like, say, why, uh I think this figure the
- 24:14Speaker 2: gloves I think really saves this.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Right, Okay, so here's my thing. Yeah, I have to
- 24:20Speaker 1: take a look at my other cowboy bob Orton is it?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Did the other ones have the cast on it?
- 24:25Speaker 6: It's a painted on cast like Owen, like an Owen
- 24:28Speaker 6: bone cruncher. Right.
- 24:29Speaker 1: See, this has a lot of meat on the bone.
- 24:32Speaker 1: It's got cast, it's got.
- 24:34Speaker 6: Let's dig in. Yeah.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I didn't even really realize that. And he's only ever
- 24:45Speaker 2: had that. Oh, he's got the basic right, but he
- 24:49Speaker 2: had he has the uh old school friggin legends Tupac
- 24:55Speaker 2: with Piper and that's it, right.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I mean there's a lot in this figure. Just it
- 25:07Speaker 1: comes with the gloves on him, which I don't know
- 25:09Speaker 1: how I feel about it yet.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Well, because that's because he's helping Piper train, right, Okay, But.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Does he ever wear the gloves like and just ring gear?
- 25:19Speaker 6: That probably not if I had a guess, But.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Oh, man, with the gloves, you kind of need him
- 25:25Speaker 5: with the boxing set. Huh.
- 25:27Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying.
- 25:28Speaker 2: It's cool nice little compliment piece right, ace on the
- 25:33Speaker 2: boots Soft Goods vest, which is really nice.
- 25:37Speaker 6: The hat, it's great, and this might be like cut
- 25:42Speaker 6: the other one.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm thinking, because I don't know if
- 25:46Speaker 1: I would display it necessarily with the boxing gloves. But
- 25:49Speaker 1: I like this cast first time with this cast. Right, Yeah,
- 25:52Speaker 1: what's the proper cast arms? We need de freedom here,
- 25:56Speaker 1: I can look that up and don't lose those little
- 25:58Speaker 1: cuffs for the boxing gloves. Oh my god, r wow,
- 26:01Speaker 1: it was her tiny. I really have to look at
- 26:07Speaker 1: my other The cast slides on left left arm of
- 26:11Speaker 1: the cast left arm.
- 26:15Speaker 6: Oh dude, this is this is great.
- 26:19Speaker 2: This is a figure. I had no expectations for it.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I like, I like love it.
- 26:23Speaker 1: So I'm looking at the other bob Orton. The other
- 26:26Speaker 1: bob Orton, it's the cast, like you said, painted on,
- 26:32Speaker 1: looks like it has a different hat.
- 26:35Speaker 6: It's green green trunks, but.
- 26:38Speaker 1: The same looks against this very similar uh Soft Goods.
- 26:43Speaker 6: An he is a basic in the in the build
- 26:46Speaker 6: a set.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Right, let me let me double check, bob Orton. Mattel here,
- 26:51Speaker 1: bob Orton.
- 26:53Speaker 6: This is like, man, I'm actually shocked at.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Yeah, the basic where it's essentially like this. It's a
- 27:03Speaker 1: blue trunks painted on that looks awesome with the cast
- 27:07Speaker 1: like that.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I'm kind of pleasantly surprised. I think, if anything,
- 27:12Speaker 2: maybe a little like Meteor, like the same way you
- 27:15Speaker 2: would you Narn Anderson figure. You always like wish it
- 27:17Speaker 2: had a little more, maybe a little too lean. Yeah,
- 27:21Speaker 2: the quads and the gut, but other than that. So
- 27:25Speaker 2: I just typed into Google.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Now, this is not like the best place to find
- 27:28Speaker 1: all your info, but I typed the Google Bob Orton
- 27:32Speaker 1: boxing gloves. Yeah, and there is a photo right here
- 27:34Speaker 1: of Bob Orton in ring gear wearing boxing gloves. However,
- 27:39Speaker 1: he's wearing red trunks with red boxing gloves. These are
- 27:42Speaker 1: blue trunks with black black boxing gloves.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:45Speaker 1: And then well I see a picture right now. Oh
- 27:48Speaker 1: maybe here here we go Saturday night's main event, mister
- 27:51Speaker 1: Teever's cowboy Bob Orton. Maybe that's where this is from. Oh, yes,
- 27:56Speaker 1: I'm watching. I'm gonna try I'm watching him.
- 27:58Speaker 2: And there has to be a reason behind the black gloves.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Because I'm looking at the piper, mister Tea, I might
- 28:02Speaker 2: display they're both red.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, guys, guys, Okay, here we go. It appears
- 28:07Speaker 1: that this is from Saturday's main event. Black black gloves,
- 28:12Speaker 1: blue trunks. Okay, but of course it's not completely accurate
- 28:15Speaker 1: because he's wearing a brown vest and a brown hat.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Looks like, okay, this black hat black maybe no, I'm sorry,
- 28:24Speaker 1: the black hat, but brown vest. What's a black hat?
- 28:27Speaker 1: I can't tell black and brown hat. I don't know. Okay,
- 28:31Speaker 1: either way, I'm not mad at any of this. I
- 28:35Speaker 1: just don't know how I'm gonna display it.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I don't know, man, I think I think I might
- 28:41Speaker 2: have to cut the old one and.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Just keep him, or do you do both? You keep
- 28:47Speaker 1: the old one and just do it kind of plain
- 28:49Speaker 1: like he's in there in the ring with the gloves.
- 28:52Speaker 2: I just love the cast that. You can't do casting gloves,
- 28:55Speaker 2: can you?
- 28:56Speaker 1: No? No, this is either way. It's it's cool. It's
- 29:01Speaker 1: you know what, when you have figures, we're like, how
- 29:03Speaker 1: should I display it? That's how you know it's a
- 29:05Speaker 1: good figure? Yeah right, yea, yeah, I dig that.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Okay.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Other things that we got High Spots. I love high Spots.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I ordered from them first of all. Uh, we have
- 29:20Speaker 1: f W F on DVD. I got those from high schools.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I finally they weren't giving me the bill just to
- 29:26Speaker 1: pay them off. I finally paid them. We have guys,
- 29:28Speaker 1: Yeah no Major podmerts Co f w F on DVD.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I also got some new elbow pads. I wear AMA
- 29:37Speaker 1: elbow pads, but I don't like so that High Spots
- 29:41Speaker 1: basically makes their own AM they own AM right, so
- 29:46Speaker 1: that AM stamp on. So when I got a lease
- 29:49Speaker 1: from W I had this idea like, hey, instead of
- 29:52Speaker 1: this a m A like stamp, can you put like
- 29:55Speaker 1: my logo Like oh yeah, I'm like no, I don't
- 29:58Speaker 1: know for everybody, yeah, but they do it for me.
- 30:01Speaker 1: So I've had it on my knee pads. And I
- 30:03Speaker 1: just started wearing elbow pads again recently because I've had
- 30:05Speaker 1: like weird elbow problems, but I wanted I want ones now.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I also have the MC, so I did that, and
- 30:12Speaker 1: then I got some some cards. I got an autographed
- 30:15Speaker 1: all in Britt Baker.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Wow.
- 30:19Speaker 1: And I got two autographed all in Chelsea Greens.
- 30:24Speaker 6: How she charge you?
- 30:26Speaker 1: I'm not gonna reveal that information. They were pretty pricey.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I think I want to send these into PSA well
- 30:32Speaker 2: talk to Papa Bear. So I have a stack of
- 30:35Speaker 2: aw upper deck that I need Papa Bear and ten
- 30:40Speaker 2: credit to look at because.
- 30:42Speaker 6: I want some slabs. Baby, I want.
- 30:44Speaker 2: These slash I got slabs back today and they're not
- 30:47Speaker 2: my possession yet. That will be discussed next week. Oh
- 30:50Speaker 2: baby at wrest, what else do you guys get?
- 30:56Speaker 6: You wanna go mark or you want me real quick?
- 30:58Speaker 5: I've pretty much actually, I completed Power of the Force
- 31:04Speaker 5: figures and mini vehicles and animals. The only thing that
- 31:10Speaker 5: I haven't gotten is the vehicles, which I don't have
- 31:14Speaker 5: room for, which I would like to get at some point,
- 31:16Speaker 5: but I don't have room for it, so I'm not
- 31:17Speaker 5: like rushing out to get it. So I got a
- 31:20Speaker 5: bunch of like random Power of the Force things. I
- 31:22Speaker 5: love it because it's so cheap and so nostalgic. I
- 31:26Speaker 5: think it might be my number one toy line, tied
- 31:28Speaker 5: with Hasbros.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Wow that's big.
- 31:32Speaker 2: But anyway, I made this this week GCW and Impact
- 31:40Speaker 2: Superstar whoa PCO?
- 31:47Speaker 5: Holy crap? What is that?
- 31:49Speaker 2: My brain just gets going sometimes. This is shout out
- 31:53Speaker 2: to Ringside Collectibles. I went there to get these parts.
- 31:55Speaker 2: This is a Walter alright, p Walter Body with a
- 31:59Speaker 2: Ramis cereal glove and.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Then where do you have a rapist cereal glove from ringside?
- 32:05Speaker 1: You had to buy a whole rapistial for the glove.
- 32:08Speaker 6: Yeah, help me on whatnot in a future episodes?
- 32:10Speaker 2: All good without his one open glove hand and then
- 32:13Speaker 2: uh yeah Walter Body. And then I got the FTC,
- 32:16Speaker 2: which is the only good thing you can say about
- 32:18Speaker 2: FTC is you can at.
- 32:18Speaker 6: Least try to do something with the heads.
- 32:20Speaker 2: And I got the heads and the soft goods outfit
- 32:22Speaker 2: and I made a PC really bad.
- 32:24Speaker 5: Wow, that is great, you know, right? That needs to
- 32:28Speaker 5: go up on social media. I'm blown away.
- 32:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 2: The only thing that's really missing is he has that
- 32:34Speaker 2: really ugly tribal tat.
- 32:35Speaker 6: On the open arm.
- 32:36Speaker 2: But like I'm fine without that, you know.
- 32:38Speaker 1: But now PCO kind of like paints his face.
- 32:40Speaker 2: White, right, Yeah, yeah, it's it's the figures already outdated,
- 32:44Speaker 2: because I'm sure it was meant to be out three
- 32:47Speaker 2: years ago, about ten years ago. Yeah, but actually I
- 32:49Speaker 2: think the outfit is very very very close to what
- 32:52Speaker 2: he's currently right. Yeah, huh so pretty bumped with Dylan
- 32:57Speaker 2: walked in. I had all these packages and I found
- 32:58Speaker 2: the last parts and did that, and he sat and
- 33:00Speaker 2: watching you do this, and it was just like what
- 33:02Speaker 2: is wrong with you?
- 33:03Speaker 6: Or like how did you think that up? How did
- 33:04Speaker 6: you do that? So yeah, shout out the ringside for
- 33:06Speaker 6: the part.
- 33:07Speaker 5: So yeah, oh I kind of want.
- 33:08Speaker 1: To anything else, guys.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I do have a couple shout outs and thank you.
- 33:15Speaker 2: The Commission sent me a Brody Finisher card, which, if
- 33:19Speaker 2: anyone knows, has been following these upper deck a Dove's
- 33:22Speaker 2: there one per box. So he got a Brody hit
- 33:24Speaker 2: that that's a big hit and he knew that was,
- 33:26Speaker 2: you know, important to me, so he sent me that
- 33:28Speaker 2: at DCA.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Love you pal.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I made a trade for more of my students and
- 33:32Speaker 2: friends with Jason Gagleone shout out to Jason, thank you
- 33:36Speaker 2: for that. And I had actually a gift ski from
- 33:40Speaker 2: Dwayne aka Fenway card guy, So thank you Ron Johnson no.
- 33:44Speaker 6: Different Dayne another Dayne who helped me out here. So
- 33:47Speaker 6: shout out to those guys for helping me.
- 33:49Speaker 2: You know, like I've said pretty vocally, I've been trying
- 33:51Speaker 2: to piece together stat Landers, Mjf's, Silvers and Reynolds. Really
- 33:56Speaker 2: at this point I think the only thing I really
- 33:58Speaker 2: really want still the Statlander Auto and a MJF Auto.
- 34:02Speaker 2: There's only been like one Chris ever on eBay didn't
- 34:06Speaker 2: get it, and the mgfs that have popped up evolving
- 34:08Speaker 2: in like the thousands, so I don't know what's going
- 34:11Speaker 2: on with that dollars. Yeah, I'm not ready to drop
- 34:15Speaker 2: that kind of money on it. They're up there for that.
- 34:18Speaker 2: They haven't sold for that, I don't think.
- 34:20Speaker 5: But yeah, by the way, coming soon to what Not
- 34:22Speaker 5: Near You? Signed MGF series What was the last series
- 34:26Speaker 5: he had?
- 34:26Speaker 2: He was in, Well, he's in five Unmatched too with
- 34:31Speaker 2: Warlow or the series.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Six with okay, Series six.
- 34:35Speaker 6: I got a Burbery cuffs.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Burbery Cuffs, Yes, a bunch of those signed but by
- 34:39Speaker 5: MGF with different f us on it come into a
- 34:44Speaker 5: Whatnot Near You authentication by his lawyer by the way too.
- 34:48Speaker 5: Oh last, I guess the last thing I got the
- 34:52Speaker 5: AW weapon said, I forgot to mention that.
- 34:55Speaker 6: So, oh that's a great.
- 34:56Speaker 5: I haven't opened it yet, but thanks to John, I
- 34:59Speaker 5: think I'm going to revamp my whole AW set like this.
- 35:04Speaker 6: It's just growing.
- 35:04Speaker 2: You gotta yeah, because.
- 35:06Speaker 5: I only I had it just on one detailed shelf.
- 35:09Speaker 5: Then I had to move it to a different shelf,
- 35:12Speaker 5: and now it's on two shelves. So I don't know
- 35:14Speaker 5: what I'm gonna do.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Guy, the cracker barrel. I got an extra one last
- 35:21Speaker 2: week when we went because Madison kan was running around
- 35:24Speaker 2: ringside with me and Vinnie and uh, it's like her
- 35:27Speaker 2: favorite thing. I have built it probably thirty times a
- 35:31Speaker 2: day since we've gotten I give it to her and
- 35:32Speaker 2: she throws it like a bomb and it explosion. She
- 35:35Speaker 2: thinks it's the coolest thing ever. That's one and a
- 35:38Speaker 2: half year old. Yeah, there's that for the parents out there.
- 35:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm done anything else.
- 35:45Speaker 6: I'm done guys.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Now, guys, we have one last thing. We did a
- 35:49Speaker 1: special YouTube on boxing, which will be up by Mattel
- 35:55Speaker 1: and some people didn't like this, but sorry about your
- 35:58Speaker 1: damn luck. This sent us the new retros early so
- 36:03Speaker 1: we could unbox them and review them. We have a
- 36:05Speaker 1: video up on YouTube YouTube dot com slash Major Pot Network.
- 36:08Speaker 1: They drop this Friday.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Uh, same day as the show guys, same days and
- 36:14Speaker 2: the show see where See where They're at now?
- 36:20Speaker 1: Only this was a look confusing to me. You're only
- 36:23Speaker 1: allowed to buy two, so It makes me believe that
- 36:27Speaker 1: these are super limited, because if they're not, and you
- 36:32Speaker 1: want them to sell, wouldn't you want them to go
- 36:36Speaker 1: any means necessary? I don't. I still don't understand the
- 36:41Speaker 1: business model behind that neither.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I don't know, or maybe they just don't want, like
- 36:47Speaker 2: Astle Toys to.
- 36:48Speaker 6: Buy them all out?
- 36:49Speaker 1: Why cares I listen, Guys, listen, I'm sorry, but Tell doesn't.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Doesn't you know care if scalpers get them? You know,
- 36:59Speaker 1: it's he just wanted to ben, That's what I'm saying.
- 37:01Speaker 1: This makes you feel like I'm just so confused, Like
- 37:04Speaker 1: this is a line that is like it literally you
- 37:07Speaker 1: thought it was dead. You started crying, and then like
- 37:09Speaker 1: the line like started moving, you know, Like I don't know.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I just either way, I'm gonna obviously get I'm getting
- 37:18Speaker 2: my maximum too, but also like, uh, I'm very interested
- 37:22Speaker 2: to see how this goes.
- 37:24Speaker 6: It's gonna be half an hour, days or weeks, you know,
- 37:27Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I need to get three, so Chelsea's gonna have to
- 37:30Speaker 1: get one for me.
- 37:30Speaker 6: But.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Send it to Let's let's start, let's let's talk about
- 37:35Speaker 1: it now. The bob Orton we didn't open because Brian's
- 37:38Speaker 1: gonna save that because he's gonna meet Bob.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Orton randomly is coming to Wrestling Universe next month. So
- 37:42Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I cannot let this go to
- 37:45Speaker 2: waste because they're like, I'll be the probably the first
- 37:47Speaker 2: one ever, you know, first, and you know only one
- 37:50Speaker 2: signed at the moment, so I was pretty pumpy about
- 37:52Speaker 2: that opportunity.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I got me and Gene oakerland right here. I
- 37:58Speaker 1: absolutely love this figure Me and Gene to somebody the
- 38:01Speaker 1: star of the set, guys, star set, somebody who definitely
- 38:06Speaker 1: fits in perfectly with your Hasbro line. You would have
- 38:08Speaker 1: loved me, Jean. Unfortunately, has wouldn't make any managers or reps.
- 38:12Speaker 1: I mean LJN made me Gene. Why Wooden Hasbro. I
- 38:15Speaker 1: think it's incredible. He even has the action feature the
- 38:18Speaker 1: head looks awesome. My not that my beef with it. Listen,
- 38:22Speaker 1: these are all themed to mid eighties, so it's like
- 38:26Speaker 1: a slightly younger.
- 38:30Speaker 6: It's off from the era of the Real Hazard, but
- 38:32Speaker 6: that's fine, right.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I also don't like that the microphone is the same
- 38:37Speaker 1: microphone that Mattel Elite mean Gene comes with, so it's
- 38:41Speaker 1: a little too big for this figure. Okay if that
- 38:43Speaker 1: makes sense, but beggars can't be choosers. Love the figure.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I think it's excellent. I think the packaging for all
- 38:48Speaker 1: these guys look good. The Orton looks great. I love
- 38:51Speaker 1: that the Orton head is attached like I'm sorry, the
- 38:56Speaker 1: hat is attached to his head, which is kind of
- 38:58Speaker 1: like a skinner.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Why don't you take keeps true to the era.
- 39:03Speaker 1: I'm looking at this Roddy Piper right here. I love
- 39:05Speaker 1: the piper removable kilts. He has like that Sammy Zain
- 39:08Speaker 1: kick action. I think a lot of people will get
- 39:10Speaker 1: this and make a custom with the Hasbro head on this,
- 39:15Speaker 1: which I think.
- 39:15Speaker 2: It would be really cool, which would be cool.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I dig it. And then of course mister t is
- 39:19Speaker 1: I think my favorite of the set besides the.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Gene canceled cesarrow body, and he does has that mechanism.
- 39:28Speaker 2: So the cizarrow was meant to have the hands down
- 39:31Speaker 2: you can hook feet in it and he can do
- 39:32Speaker 2: the swing with the Texas Tornado mechanism. This the hands
- 39:36Speaker 2: can go up and he does airplane spin you know,
- 39:38Speaker 2: so same difference but pretty cool.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Uh spin in the pool. My only complain about the
- 39:43Speaker 1: mister T is that I wish you would have had
- 39:46Speaker 1: like the chains a la razor amone. I brought that
- 39:50Speaker 1: up to corporate Steve. He said that mister T did
- 39:52Speaker 1: it where the chains are else many one. I said, okay,
- 39:55Speaker 1: then why did you put a picture of mister T
- 39:56Speaker 1: with chains on the back. I mean, this is all listen,
- 40:02Speaker 1: these are the most These are fucking retros. Put the
- 40:04Speaker 1: fucking chains out. Its cost thing. I understand. I love it.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I think there's a great job by Mattel on all
- 40:11Speaker 1: four of these. I think it's a great set. I
- 40:12Speaker 1: think the model of selling all four once is a
- 40:16Speaker 1: great idea. I understand why people might not like it,
- 40:18Speaker 1: kind of like our Bendi's I only want this guy
- 40:20Speaker 1: and this guy. Well, sorry, you gotta get all four.
- 40:23Speaker 1: This is how we get guys like Cowboy Bob who
- 40:25Speaker 1: might not done so well by himself because you got
- 40:29Speaker 1: to buy the whole time.
- 40:30Speaker 6: How it works.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and it comes in a nice box of all
- 40:33Speaker 1: four of them.
- 40:34Speaker 2: And I think so the price is not outrageous. I
- 40:38Speaker 2: think it's pretty it's pretty reasonable.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I think so as well.
- 40:41Speaker 6: I think this is great.
- 40:42Speaker 1: I know Mattel has one more of these planned throughout
- 40:45Speaker 1: the year. I really wish it was two. Unfortunately it's
- 40:47Speaker 1: only one. Hey, you never know. Hopefully this sells so well.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I mean, Steve made a team online that they have
- 40:53Speaker 1: there's all these plans for the retros. So maybe there
- 40:55Speaker 1: are plans that I don't know about that'd be great.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Maybe there's a comic exclusive, maybe there's a ring coming.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 41:00Speaker 1: But we thought this line was dead and it's back
- 41:04Speaker 1: by any means necessary? Do I believe it's because strictly
- 41:08Speaker 1: because Zombie and Schella are making money making these figures. Yes,
- 41:12Speaker 1: I believe that's the reason. I believe Mittel did not
- 41:14Speaker 1: care about our we want retros campaign. They didn't care,
- 41:18Speaker 1: but they care about money.
- 41:19Speaker 2: And say that officially, but yeah.
- 41:22Speaker 1: They care about money. They see Zombie doing it, they
- 41:24Speaker 1: see Cella, Well, well, why can't we make money do
- 41:27Speaker 1: these retros? Oh we canceled our own line, let's just
- 41:30Speaker 1: bring it back. Yeah, you know, I think this.
- 41:33Speaker 6: Is a much smarter strategy, so we should be good
- 41:36Speaker 6: to go.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I think listen, And there's also for US fans US
- 41:39Speaker 1: collectors put up or shut up moment, right, Like That's
- 41:43Speaker 1: why I'm like, are gone?
- 41:45Speaker 2: Are the's gone? In twenty minutes. Are these gone and forever?
- 41:48Speaker 1: I don't know, right, And and for the haters out there,
- 41:53Speaker 1: these early guys.
- 41:54Speaker 6: Listen, we got them this stuff anymore.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Listen, we got them early because sorry, that's that's the business.
- 42:02Speaker 1: We split them up. I'm still trying to buy three.
- 42:04Speaker 1: So I am buying three, guys, so relaxed, chill, giveaway.
- 42:08Speaker 6: Yeah, I need my two.
- 42:09Speaker 1: For sure, I need my three. These are guys, these
- 42:11Speaker 1: are giveaways for content. This is to get the word out.
- 42:14Speaker 1: That's just I'm sorry, that's how the world works.
- 42:16Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I will be buying three, you know. So I'm still
- 42:19Speaker 1: buying them. So, guys, you're all you're buying them. I'm
- 42:22Speaker 1: buying them. To relax, we're all buying them. I'm actually
- 42:24Speaker 1: buying more than you're buying. You really want to get
- 42:26Speaker 1: to it. So I'm very excited for these retros. It
- 42:31Speaker 1: was up to me, and it's not we would get
- 42:34Speaker 1: a comic exclusive and we would get you know, the
- 42:38Speaker 1: other set and a ring. But I love it. Let's
- 42:41Speaker 1: support it.
- 42:41Speaker 6: We were Steve Steve.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Steve went on record in one of the message boards
- 42:45Speaker 2: and said no ring plans as of now.
- 42:48Speaker 1: He did yes, I did not see that.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Okay, don't want to say that was a de freedom
- 42:52Speaker 2: note we got sent to us or something, Okay, since
- 42:55Speaker 2: I haven't.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Been on a message.
- 42:56Speaker 1: And it's kind of weird because on the back of
- 42:58Speaker 1: the box they're all in a ring, but it.
- 43:04Speaker 6: Is what it is.
- 43:05Speaker 5: Remember that ring was twelve bucks.
- 43:06Speaker 6: That ring was less than that.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I wish I had them, now, I know, I wish crazy. Allright, guys,
- 43:16Speaker 1: up next is the major mark purchase of the week?
- 43:20Speaker 1: All right, major mark purchase of the week? Mark? What
- 43:22Speaker 1: do we got?
- 43:24Speaker 5: All? Alrighty? What do we have? Okay? Chris Sullivan. I
- 43:29Speaker 5: had a poster made up of the first WWF wrestling
- 43:31Speaker 5: show I ever went to in January of nineteen ninety three,
- 43:34Speaker 5: main evented by Brett Hart versus Rick Flair. I don't
- 43:36Speaker 5: know if you saw this.
- 43:37Speaker 2: I saw this and I was like itchy af about
- 43:43Speaker 2: how if someone can do this easily?
- 43:46Speaker 1: Cool?
- 43:46Speaker 2: What a cool business you saw?
- 43:47Speaker 5: Brosky I did, so let me explain to the people.
- 43:50Speaker 5: So basically, he had a designer make an old school
- 43:55Speaker 5: like a flyer you would see on a telephone.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Pole, like a reimagined poster as if this existed.
- 44:00Speaker 6: Back in the day what it would look like.
- 44:02Speaker 5: Yes, and it's really cool. And when these events are
- 44:07Speaker 5: really nostalgic for you, maybe that event made you become
- 44:10Speaker 5: a big wrestling fan. Yeah, yeah, it's really cool. And
- 44:14Speaker 5: then I was thinking, like, what what event would I want?
- 44:17Speaker 6: I know, always doing the same thing, and I was like,
- 44:19Speaker 6: walk away, walk.
- 44:19Speaker 5: Away, Yeah, really cool, Yeah, awesome idea.
- 44:22Speaker 1: I wish I knew what my first event was. Where
- 44:25Speaker 1: the card was. I have no memory.
- 44:26Speaker 6: I was so young. I mean, you can look up
- 44:27Speaker 6: if you even think you know, you can look it
- 44:29Speaker 6: up online so easily. But no clue.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I think mine was the house shows.
- 44:33Speaker 2: In the day.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Mine was the first house show in nineteen ninety seven.
- 44:39Speaker 5: Oh no, I wasn't. No, I wasn't. I don't know
- 44:41Speaker 5: what I'm talking about. I was in the Driver series
- 44:43Speaker 5: in nineteen ninety Okay. Roy Luce here starting to collect
- 44:46Speaker 5: the cards that were inside the nineteen eighty one Pope figures.
- 44:50Speaker 5: Started with my favorite of debt legendary that's like not
- 44:53Speaker 5: even possible legendary, lugad or mil maskris. If it looks familiar,
- 44:57Speaker 5: it's because it's normally on the front of old were
- 45:00Speaker 5: ninety percent of the Midland card Hulk Hogan figures in
- 45:02Speaker 5: the set. Now off to get the rest, so he
- 45:05Speaker 5: has the mill maskers.
- 45:07Speaker 6: That's gonna be tough and expensive iteas.
- 45:09Speaker 5: So if anybody could do it, Roy Larcy Lucy I agree.
- 45:12Speaker 5: But wow, Marcus Brandon after a rapid delivery, Rory ro
- 45:19Speaker 5: r I entered the world. My wife and I welcomed
- 45:22Speaker 5: our second daughter into the world last week. Rory is
- 45:24Speaker 5: the newest Mini Mark and we'll soon have the onesa
- 45:27Speaker 5: to prove it.
- 45:28Speaker 6: He didn't spell it the other way. Wow, congrats Derek
- 45:31Speaker 6: start close Close one.
- 45:33Speaker 5: WrestleMania thirteen Limited a two hundred screen print from Mondo.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Such a killer piece from one of my favorite manias.
- 45:39Speaker 5: I have fond memories of this mania because it's the
- 45:41Speaker 5: first mania I talked to my parents in ordering and
- 45:44Speaker 5: didn't have to wait for the vhs to drop at
- 45:46Speaker 5: my local video store. It's a really cool print.
- 45:48Speaker 6: Nice.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Was there anything better than going to that video store
- 45:51Speaker 1: and seeing all those tapes back of the day.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Man, I was like my mind, my mom and pop
- 45:56Speaker 2: like video store that I went to growing up, Like
- 45:59Speaker 2: it was like a never ending wall, like I looked
- 46:00Speaker 2: up like the way.
- 46:01Speaker 6: I do a stair down with the Big Show. They
- 46:04Speaker 6: looked like it was just never ending wall of costume videos.
- 46:08Speaker 5: And in so many and then WCW One's too. That's
- 46:10Speaker 5: how I found out about.
- 46:11Speaker 6: WW So mind have many WW ones.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I was like early on Guy.
- 46:18Speaker 5: Earring It's Earring Mulligan. Back when Art Asylum put out
- 46:24Speaker 5: two Eminem figures in two thousand and one, I was
- 46:27Speaker 5: too broke to buy them both. I bought one of them,
- 46:30Speaker 5: thinking I would eventually get the other. They didn't last
- 46:32Speaker 5: long on shelves and have become pretty hard to come
- 46:34Speaker 5: by in good shape. They've also gotten pretty pricey. I
- 46:38Speaker 5: finally found one Minton card for a price I was
- 46:40Speaker 5: willing to pay. The package is in rough shape, but
- 46:42Speaker 5: I plan to let it breathe anyway. I'm pretty sure
- 46:45Speaker 5: there is a burn on the bubble from a lit
- 46:48Speaker 5: bowl resting on it. I'm psyched to finally have this figure,
- 46:52Speaker 5: especially with the new line of Eminem figures expected to
- 46:55Speaker 5: arrive any day now. Fun fact, this figure had hands
- 47:00Speaker 5: in or out of the pockets feature twenty years prior
- 47:03Speaker 5: to The Jazzbar's Orange Cassidy.
- 47:05Speaker 6: Wow. I remember those.
- 47:08Speaker 2: In like Sam Goody or something I've ever seen them,
- 47:12Speaker 2: like goody right, Like, yeah, I didn't realize it's become rare.
- 47:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean either. Wow, Phil Genteel got this ring
- 47:20Speaker 5: side exclusive Cactus Jack signed courtesy of fellow major Mark
- 47:24Speaker 5: Mike Lanham. Folly isn't not a hardcore legend to the
- 47:29Speaker 5: level of Matthew Cardona, but still a cool item nonetheless.
- 47:35Speaker 5: Joey Hudson Six empty green VHS clamshells. Growing up in
- 47:38Speaker 5: rural Minnesota, we didn't have Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. We
- 47:41Speaker 5: had a regional chain called Mister Movies, and they had
- 47:45Speaker 5: all their tapes in green clamshells that would be behind
- 47:49Speaker 5: the VHS box on the shelf. So now that I'm
- 47:52Speaker 5: building a VHS collection, I had to find some green
- 47:54Speaker 5: clamshells to put on the shelf for nostalgia. That's pretty cool.
- 47:59Speaker 6: Is it a Mister Movie night.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Mark? Did you ever send the file for FF two
- 48:04Speaker 1: for the DHS?
- 48:05Speaker 5: I believe so I have it.
- 48:08Speaker 6: I'm gonna have that. I'm gonna hit him up.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Okay, Kyle Slaba, that a VHS week after once?
- 48:14Speaker 6: So that so fast, because so unique?
- 48:17Speaker 5: Yeah, Kyle Slaba, I haven't actually like front and center
- 48:22Speaker 5: in my in my room on the mantle of underneath
- 48:25Speaker 5: the TV. So that's a prime Primari spot. Last month,
- 48:28Speaker 5: Kyle Slab the person. This purchase of the week goes
- 48:30Speaker 5: to my girlfriend who got me a two months early
- 48:33Speaker 5: birthday present WrestleMania thirteen ringside chair. This chair is specially
- 48:37Speaker 5: because it completes my WrestleMania chair collection. I now have
- 48:40Speaker 5: all WrestleMania ten through thirty seven chairs. That's insane.
- 48:44Speaker 6: Why it's insane, that's cool. What do you do with them?
- 48:48Speaker 5: Well, that's I don't have a part of that, looking
- 48:52Speaker 5: forward to retiring the hunt and just picking up the
- 48:55Speaker 5: new chair every year. I unfortunately just put my collection
- 48:57Speaker 5: in storage, so I can't get a picture of them
- 48:59Speaker 5: all together. But here's a pick of them all minus
- 49:02Speaker 5: this new one.
- 49:04Speaker 1: At one point I almost bought a WrestleMania at ten
- 49:07Speaker 1: that was signed by a lot of people, but the
- 49:10Speaker 1: signatures were like it was just too suspect for me.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I wasn't sure if these were real signatures or not.
- 49:17Speaker 6: I couldn't.
- 49:17Speaker 1: I didn't want I didn't want to trust it. Like
- 49:19Speaker 1: if there's all like a WrestleMania thirty three chairs, all
- 49:23Speaker 1: these signatures, all right, I'm much more confident confident in
- 49:28Speaker 1: that right, but this wrestling at ten was like by it,
- 49:31Speaker 1: I had all these signatures Yoko Zuna. I was like,
- 49:33Speaker 1: I don't know, and maybe it was real. I just
- 49:36Speaker 1: couldn't risk the.
- 49:36Speaker 6: Person would have been ahead of their time in doing that.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 49:39Speaker 5: What's your chair collection, Broski? You just have.
- 49:43Speaker 1: I have some random I don't really have a collection.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I have reviews you were on. Yea, I have the
- 49:48Speaker 1: two that I was on.
- 49:50Speaker 6: They're behind me right now, behind this thing in case
- 49:52Speaker 6: someone comes over.
- 49:53Speaker 2: Whatever that's it?
- 49:54Speaker 1: You mean like the actual chair that you're on the
- 49:56Speaker 1: pay per view you were on.
- 49:58Speaker 2: No, not if I was on the paper view, No,
- 50:00Speaker 2: I don't count that. If I'm on the chair my image.
- 50:04Speaker 1: And what sucks is like there's there's one chair. It's
- 50:07Speaker 1: like a Royal Roman chair that I'm on, but I
- 50:09Speaker 1: got pulled last minute for curd angle, so like I'm
- 50:11Speaker 1: not on the paperers, so are like, I don't even
- 50:13Speaker 1: want the chair, but I have to have it.
- 50:15Speaker 5: Yeah, but we made you get it.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Isn't that one we know?
- 50:17Speaker 1: That's the money in the bank. Would that's the bundy
- 50:19Speaker 1: of the bank.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Where about the situation, but you're not, Yeah, the same
- 50:22Speaker 2: situation anywhere you got that I got it from.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it's still it's I didn't even bring it to Florida.
- 50:29Speaker 1: It's still in New York my parents house.
- 50:30Speaker 5: Like, gosh, you're gonna do that in ten years and
- 50:33Speaker 5: be like why do I have this?
- 50:34Speaker 2: Bob's doing push ups on that chair right now?
- 50:36Speaker 5: All right, that's it up next.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Lesson.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Of course, there's a couple of figures that were definitely stiggers, but.
- 50:46Speaker 2: The reins, the arms.
- 50:50Speaker 1: But I was looking at these classics and some of
- 50:55Speaker 1: the figures are the most like unappreciated best figures of
- 50:58Speaker 1: all time. The people I think are sleeping on it.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I think it's gonna take another five ten years before
- 51:02Speaker 1: someone looks back goes, oh Lunava Shan. Yeah, it was perfect.
- 51:05Speaker 1: The sculpts, you know, some of the sculpts were unbelievable,
- 51:08Speaker 1: and some of the people that you got first time
- 51:10Speaker 1: figure and then a figure after. I think it's gonna
- 51:12Speaker 1: take a couple of years for people to be like,
- 51:14Speaker 1: holy shit, like we really need to go back. And
- 51:16Speaker 1: I think there's gonna be another like another like Launch
- 51:19Speaker 1: the class super Stars and people rebind them like I did.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Like I don't really get such a plug. But FTC
- 51:24Speaker 2: is almost like a love letter to them. The ones
- 51:26Speaker 2: they have are still they're still trying to put you know,
- 51:29Speaker 2: like if Alex right and evinces, we're still coming out
- 51:31Speaker 2: so people can plug them into their claim.
- 51:32Speaker 1: It's not really aggression figures.
- 51:35Speaker 7: Have you seen these things and they're direct moldre.
- 51:40Speaker 6: I think they should embrace that and more people would
- 51:42Speaker 6: be like oh wow instead of like.
- 51:43Speaker 1: No, these aren't them Yeah dude, yeah.
- 51:47Speaker 6: But you know what, but it's kind of cool if
- 51:49Speaker 6: you if you embrace them, like, that's cool. I'm getting
- 51:51Speaker 6: you know, there's five hundred characters and I'm getting them.
- 51:54Speaker 1: So I had to get guys that like you just
- 51:57Speaker 1: didn't make it. You made so many guys the class
- 51:58Speaker 1: rooms are, but some of them you make. So now
- 52:00Speaker 1: this company is making like the w CW demon, I
- 52:03Speaker 1: have to get him because he's in scale.
- 52:04Speaker 7: That's cool.
- 52:05Speaker 1: They could be banging more out. I just think they're do.
- 52:08Speaker 7: You know, I mean know they are fully licensed. They're
- 52:11Speaker 7: doing these deals with it's the.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Same as you like, okay, individual and individual, but they
- 52:15Speaker 2: won't admit that.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Well, I don't know where they got it from, like
- 52:20Speaker 1: you know, but you know the back where.
- 52:22Speaker 6: Those molds go. I stop making those toys. I don't know.
- 52:25Speaker 7: I mean it's possible that they're just I mean, I
- 52:28Speaker 7: believe that they're probably just taking the existing figures and
- 52:31Speaker 7: they're just creating a mold from the figure itself versus
- 52:34Speaker 7: getting the original really exactly.
- 52:37Speaker 2: Mean, Wow, there's a bunch of like a big ACW
- 52:42Speaker 2: guys so like they made like Jerry Lynn and Bluemini
- 52:44Speaker 2: and all these cool guys, like, oh, I gotta get
- 52:45Speaker 2: these guys cool. They're on display with my ruthless guys
- 52:48Speaker 2: and there.
- 52:49Speaker 7: Exactly, and you can only get them direct, like you
- 52:52Speaker 7: can only get them online direct. Yes, I mean that's cool.
- 52:55Speaker 7: It's pretty niche, but it's really cool. Yeah, that's really cool.
- 52:58Speaker 7: I like what's going on?
- 52:59Speaker 2: Man?
- 52:59Speaker 7: People are getting more sophisticated, you know.
- 53:01Speaker 2: I know you've had some unique stories and signing some
- 53:05Speaker 2: of these individuals. Yeah, I mean those who care to share.
- 53:07Speaker 2: I know there's a Jeannetti story. You any more like
- 53:12Speaker 2: that than you like, since you're going out and making
- 53:14Speaker 2: these phone calls or visiting these guys per se, right.
- 53:17Speaker 7: Yeah, no, listen it there were some fascinating moments like
- 53:22Speaker 7: you know, I'll go into some specifics, and you know,
- 53:26Speaker 7: I figure the truth, the truth, the truth is always
- 53:29Speaker 7: an excellent defense.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Do you think Marty Jeanette's phone even has like a
- 53:32Speaker 2: podcast app on.
- 53:36Speaker 6: It's a flip phone, so you can tell you.
- 53:40Speaker 7: He was so so we got we got we signed
- 53:43Speaker 7: him at a random y m c A. And so
- 53:46Speaker 7: he was doing an indie show, right, Yeah, he's doing
- 53:48Speaker 7: indie show and he was like in the bathroom. I
- 53:50Speaker 7: think we slipped the paper under the door slowly. It
- 53:54Speaker 7: was like fine, you know, son and sing. But I mean,
- 53:58Speaker 7: but that's that's the links that we were willing to go.
- 54:02Speaker 6: Down people.
- 54:02Speaker 7: Definitely, but we were we had spies, like we were.
- 54:05Speaker 7: We were paying people to know, to be in the know,
- 54:07Speaker 7: because I mean, I I do feel like it's kind
- 54:11Speaker 7: of mysterious, man like, like people go off the grid
- 54:13Speaker 7: and then it's hard to find them.
- 54:15Speaker 6: I sign like Zeus and stuff. You know.
- 54:22Speaker 7: Yeah, I think I think actually he was probably he was.
- 54:24Speaker 7: Actually you could find.
- 54:25Speaker 6: Them like Tank, like how does that happen? You know?
- 54:28Speaker 7: So, so Tank and all of those guys were kind
- 54:31Speaker 7: of recently in the known because of all the m
- 54:35Speaker 7: M A stuff. So we we had folks that we
- 54:40Speaker 7: would almost pay a bounty to track people down. We
- 54:44Speaker 7: were a figure bounty hunters. But then sometimes, you know,
- 54:49Speaker 7: yeah and sometimes, but sometimes you know, you'd find folks
- 54:53Speaker 7: that would manage a group of these guys, Like the
- 54:57Speaker 7: guy that managed Andre the Giant had a roster of
- 55:02Speaker 7: classic guys, and so we would go to him. And
- 55:06Speaker 7: it's kind of a one stop shop.
- 55:08Speaker 1: But like Andy Kaufman, like yeah, like oh my god,
- 55:13Speaker 1: Jack's made Andy Coffin.
- 55:16Speaker 2: It's like the Colon Delaney, like it's so unique and
- 55:18Speaker 2: special to its own, like the effort. Yeah, it was that.
- 55:22Speaker 7: I mean I think, I mean, if if I recollecting correctly,
- 55:26Speaker 7: Jerry Lawler put me in touch. Yeah, And so that
- 55:30Speaker 7: was an interesting story and that even the person that
- 55:33Speaker 7: I was talking to on the phone, there was a
- 55:36Speaker 7: level of mysteriousness about it, and it was like is
- 55:40Speaker 7: this Sandy Coffin or Andy Kaufman's brother, or is Sandy
- 55:44Speaker 7: Coffin's estate And you know, essentially, by the time we
- 55:47Speaker 7: signed it, I was very confused as to who I
- 55:50Speaker 7: was dealing with and hopeful that I had actually signed
- 55:52Speaker 7: a legitimate contract. It's all that matters.
- 55:56Speaker 2: It's done.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I'm trying to think what else you guys did that
- 55:58Speaker 1: during the time they made the real scale rings that
- 56:01Speaker 1: were to scale, like like at that time never had
- 56:03Speaker 1: been done before. All the rings were either way too big,
- 56:06Speaker 1: a way to small. This was to scale, had the
- 56:08Speaker 1: fabric aprons, uh, the die cast material. And then what
- 56:13Speaker 1: about the Rocky line? Do you have anything to do
- 56:14Speaker 1: with the Rocky line?
- 56:15Speaker 7: Everything?
- 56:16Speaker 6: So even at the end of yeah, yeah, all that
- 56:19Speaker 6: stuff you did.
- 56:20Speaker 7: Yes, UFC Rocky, all of it. So Rocky was interesting,
- 56:24Speaker 7: I think was it was that seven I.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Think started collecting. Yeah, yeah, so six maybe, so.
- 56:33Speaker 7: We just Rocky was not a scenario where we thought
- 56:37Speaker 7: we were going to turn this into like the into
- 56:39Speaker 7: the next big thing, and it never really became a
- 56:44Speaker 7: big line in terms of dollars.
- 56:47Speaker 1: In terms of quality, but in.
- 56:49Speaker 7: Terms of in terms of quantity. That's right.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Well they made the meat from scratch, Yeah.
- 56:56Speaker 7: It made the meat. No, but but we actually, you know,
- 56:58Speaker 7: we did this. We took a similar proach that we
- 57:00Speaker 7: took the Classic Superstars. We signed all these guys independently,
- 57:03Speaker 7: We paid bounties to get their hands on them, and
- 57:06Speaker 7: you know, they had very they did not have high
- 57:08Speaker 7: expectations in terms of the deals, and uh MGM was
- 57:12Speaker 7: great to deal with. The whole thing turned out to
- 57:16Speaker 7: be pretty easy to implement.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Sign the packaging on that also, think we got.
- 57:20Speaker 7: Seven or eight waves out of it or six waves.
- 57:22Speaker 7: It's crazy because.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Like three rings is all the exclusives the San Pauli
- 57:26Speaker 1: employee Santa.
- 57:27Speaker 7: Poloh, yeah, that was great.
- 57:29Speaker 1: You for that way, Thank.
- 57:30Speaker 7: You, thank you.
- 57:31Speaker 6: Let's let's walk through an employee exclusive.
- 57:34Speaker 7: They're the best.
- 57:36Speaker 2: I think only in your world exists.
- 57:39Speaker 1: I love you because these exclusives are so great you've
- 57:41Speaker 1: ever done employee. They don't even do toy Fair exclusive.
- 57:45Speaker 1: They just started doing copy co exclusives.
- 57:47Speaker 7: No employee. Employee exclusives are really about someone in planning
- 57:51Speaker 7: going dude, will you please do another employee exclusive, and
- 57:54Speaker 7: you go, yeah, sure, let's do it.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Not like like getting them a bonus like a Christmas bonus.
- 57:59Speaker 7: I think it's a way of making people that work
- 58:01Speaker 7: on the line feel special and like they're kind of
- 58:04Speaker 7: like in their own club. But the truth is that
- 58:07Speaker 7: you know me, I know this stuff is gonna get
- 58:10Speaker 7: on the secondary market, and I think it's great it's
- 58:13Speaker 7: a great because at some point because what it does,
- 58:17Speaker 7: is it?
- 58:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 58:18Speaker 7: Fine, okay, so you know ultimately somebody who works hard
- 58:22Speaker 7: on the line ends up making a few bucks. But
- 58:24Speaker 7: what's what's even better is that the lore, like everyone
- 58:29Speaker 7: remembers it all of a sudden, like the employee exclusive
- 58:32Speaker 7: for Rocky come on that. Yeah, I mean, but we
- 58:35Speaker 7: but what I think at the time, we had like
- 58:36Speaker 7: I don't even know, six hundred people in the organization.
- 58:40Speaker 7: Everybody got one, everybody got on the back. Yeah, everybody's name. Yeah,
- 58:44Speaker 7: we listened to everybody's name one like that.
- 58:46Speaker 1: So only on the only not on the w W
- 58:49Speaker 1: one was just the Rocky.
- 58:50Speaker 2: What what are the classic ones?
- 58:52Speaker 1: There's like a.
- 58:54Speaker 7: I think Flare that was great one and twenty five
- 58:57Speaker 7: Piper one twenty yeah, one of twenty I have them both.
- 59:02Speaker 7: You have the Flare as well, nice.
- 59:06Speaker 1: With the diamond in the back.
- 59:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:08Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, that was a great one.
- 59:10Speaker 1: I'm surprised that this whole house isn't just full of
- 59:12Speaker 1: class superstars.
- 59:13Speaker 5: I know, I feel embarrassed.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Did you make hate don't We'll edit this out. You
- 59:18Speaker 1: make a Jeremy Pidour figure.
- 59:22Speaker 7: No, No, But you know what, though, a couple of
- 59:23Speaker 7: a couple of the fans of the line actually did.
- 59:28Speaker 7: So I'll show you. I'll bring a few down. But
- 59:30Speaker 7: I mean look embarrassingly. I mean like like flatter.
- 59:33Speaker 1: If I were you, I would have made like a cameraman,
- 59:35Speaker 1: but it would have been my face.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Like they didn't want to until that time Jackson around
- 59:40Speaker 2: for a while that there was no face, like you said,
- 59:43Speaker 2: until you would stand up there and do those interviews
- 59:45Speaker 2: and like take questions and stuff. At least the fans of.
- 59:48Speaker 1: The product had to go to guy.
- 59:50Speaker 7: At least to like, you know, okay, I liked it,
- 59:52Speaker 7: you know, And it was before it was before things
- 59:54Speaker 7: like Twitter and I And also I used Jeremy dot Com.
- 59:57Speaker 7: I don't know if you remember that, but but I had,
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: you know, yeah, so I had. So that was another way.
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: And basically I had a chat board and there I
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: would say, listen tonight, we're gonna announce the new figure.
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: There'd be like four or five hundred people there, seven
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: hundred people there just waiting to hear this thing. Just
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: like the chat would be rolling at a the zillion miles
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: a minute. It was a lot of fun. Man. It
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: was like in my mind it was like, this is
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: the way you really manage a brand. Like brand management,
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: for the longest time, has always been conceived of it's
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: a brand, and the brand is what you manage, and
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: the brand is in front of everything, and the brand
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: is you know, everything is about the brand. But I
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: think brand management is about the people that manage the
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: brand as well, because those people you can actually communicate with,
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: and those are the people. Like some people call it
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: customer service, but I think it's more like I think
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: it's more like you're you know, you are a representative
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: of the things that can happen next. The customer service
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: is more reactive, right, like.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, my figure has a broken arm, but yeah.
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: Can you fix this? This is proactive. This is like
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: you're talking to someone who actually can affect what happens next, okay,
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: and under those circumstances.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: I took that very seriously, but it didn't hurt that.
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: I really loved the underlying content, Like I really like
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: WWI and I really like Wrestling.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Time, and that's like we have the podcast and things
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: are going great, but once we create this, uh, the
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Patreonic Solsive Facebook group, and now we're like truly like
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: hands on interacting with the people that care about our
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: show and everything, and like that took everything to the
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: next level, you know.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Because if people want to be here, they want to,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: you know, buy something.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: We're truly in there as individuals like interacting and being involved.
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: And so that's the question.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I feel like they want to buy stuff from you, Jeremy,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: when like they feel like you're involved in you care,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: you know, yeah, exactly, You're not just some guy in
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: a suit, like just a name on our computer screen.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: You when you show, when you put your face out there,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: good or bad, you know, whether it's good news and
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: bad news, you're putting your your face, your neck on
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: the line. And they appreciate that, whether they want to
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: admit it or not. And that's what makes them connected
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: to the whole brand.
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: Yeah, and but you know, I have to say, there's
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: one thing about wrestling that's special. It's not the same
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: thing in politics. For other forms of entertainment. It's just
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: as okay to be a bad guy as a good guy.
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: So I always took that as part of the job, like, hey,
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: you know what, so they'll hate me this week, but
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: at least at least they're hearing information that's real and yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: but you know what though, seriously, that is hand in
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: hand with doing hundreds and hundreds of figures a year,
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: and so that chase. I mean, look, doing it the
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: perfect way means you probably do a few fewer figures,
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: but still so many that you know, you really capture
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: the entire world, because you know, wrestling in WWE specifically
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: is about breadth. It's about you know, if you break
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: the if you break the group up and you say
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: you're the most exposed characters, medium level exposed, low level exposure.
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: If you're not doing the low level exposure guys and
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: the medium level exposure guys, I feel like you're really
- 1:02:52Speaker 7: not maximizing what you can achieve.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: And you you guys made everybody during that era, and
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: you found a way to make them, whether it be
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: a brings that exclusive or some sort of you know,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: weird three pack or two like the Geminia figures. Everyone
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: has something, you know, I like to say, it's like
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: for like familiar with Star Wars at all, Like yeah,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: like Hammerhead, Like everyone needs Hammerhead. You know you need
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: those guys, You need those secondary characters, especially if you're
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: a kid playing these fig Feds. You need those.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Guys, fan at least one of everybody is you need it.
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: Well, it's also it's also easy to get disinterested, right,
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: And if you're not exciting people, if you're not doing
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: things that they don't entirely expect, they'll get disinterested after
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: a while and end up doing something else. Because there's
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: lots of things out there that are interesting. I mean, look,
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: I like wrestling, but I also like twenty five other things,
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: maybe not as much, right, But if I'm become disinterested
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: in something, then these other things can take at least
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: the forefront, you know, for a while.
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: So how does this wind down? The license runs out
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: or so?
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Okay, so never think it was the point where I
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: never thought it would happen. You know, my heart was broken,
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: literally literally.
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: We both quit trust you man, I almost quit everything. No,
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: I it was devastating for me. So what happened was,
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: you know, but Mattel's a force, and so when the
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: opportunity came up, and and there had been some challenges,
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: some public challenges between uh, you know, the company I
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: was working for in w w E and Mattel swept
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: in and took the license. Uh, it was one of
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: the worst days ever for me, although we did have
- 1:04:36Speaker 7: we knew it was coming and we did have something
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: lined up which was pretty fun.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Last Yearly, you guys mail them, well there's no decad
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: like some things I've never seen before in my life.
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: Well that was all right, So just.
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: White flag waving in Malibu.
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: Oh my god, it was It wasn't right. It wasn't
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: the best we have come on. That's why, right, listen,
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: it's not ideal. Okay, we have.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: That we have that adrenaline tupac in that last year
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: that got cost cut like production because then it has.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Like a variant, where like we have no deco and
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: less successories before.
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: Yeah, listen, I think I think it's It was awkward.
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: The whole time was awkward, unfortunate. But but the thing
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: that we did have in our back pockets was that
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: the day that Mattel announced that they were launching w
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: w E, we announced and that we were going to
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: launch tn A and UFC.
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: Were you involved in the teen A Yeah.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, but I mean, look, that just not good
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: scale scale.
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: If you don't have scale, you.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Just it's hard.
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: Yeah, so you really can't. You can't put the time
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: and effort in that you'd like to put in.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: And even with all that that money saved in the
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: molds it used again for nineteenth.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Time, think about like even with that the same size there. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: that's rough.
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: Yeah, listen, Yes, like I said, it's a hard interview, man. No,
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: I love it. No, Look, look I get it, and
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: I fully understand it. As a collector of these things
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: would annoy me as well. Yeah, but you know, when
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: you're coming forget uh what was happening with that. I'll
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: speak more philosophically about anything. If something's ending, you can't
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: invest in it anymore. If something's ending, you you because
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: any you know, any meaningful to what are you gonna do?
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Yeah, he said he was going if they can't have
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: him play this year, and they're gonna get rid of him,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: get what they can.
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: Get for him.
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: Now, I think I think it's fair to say that
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: you start turning your attention to other things. So for me,
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: I didn't really focus so much on the management of
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: the line at the time. I focused more on, oh
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: my god, how am I going to stay employed and relevant?
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: And so we you know want we we signed UFC,
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: we signed TNA, We tried to look towards what was
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: next week created our own piece of entertainment, sixty five
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: episodes of Monsoono that was on Nicktoons, and like we
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: we really went into something into a lot of other
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: things to try to make up for it. And you
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: know what, it's it's tough to replace WWE and uh
- 1:07:15Speaker 7: unfortunately running hot like that, right, oh my god? Well
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: you know what, and and you know, eight years of
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: like every single year we had grown it bigger than
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: the prior year. So yeah, it sucked, It really sucked
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: losing it and and so but for me, it was
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: also probably one of the better things that could have happened,
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: because who knows, I mean, I'd probably still be doing it.
- 1:07:37Speaker 7: And I'm glad that, you know, Like I'm glad that
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: I had to switch it up and do something else.
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: I mean, those that those eight years went really fast,
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: and I'm sure ten more would have gone really fast.
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: But otherwise, you know, I'd say I have had a
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: pretty cool career since then, how.
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: Do we get to wicked cool?
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: So how do we get to wicked Coolmulator from the South,
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: I always thought that was like wicked cool, like you're
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: from mass Yeah.
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: I always thought that I was like, yeah, it must
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: be with Jeremy's roots.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Are I just made that up my head though.
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: Yeah, no, so you would think that you would think
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: that no one of the early investors was going to
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: be from uh was was, you know, from Boston area.
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: They ended up not investing, and yeah, so I ended
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: up being wicked questionable.
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: Build a toy company from the ground up like this.
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: So well, the way this went down is that my
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: buddy Michael Rensler and my my buddy Thomas Poon started
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: a toy company and I had like six months left
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: in my contract at at Jack's at the time, or
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: five months left, and my mindset was I was going
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: to start a toy company too, but I was going
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: to wait until I left and started a toy company.
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: And my objective was to do everything right, and doing
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: everything right did not include signing on to a company
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: that just started. I just felt like, you know, too risky,
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: well risky or not risky. It just in my mind
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: it was like, I've got six months, you know, six
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: months isn't gonna change anything. So towards the end of
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: that six months, though they they had they had you know,
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: they were pre revenue that nothing had happened yet really
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: that the Turtles novelty license and a couple of things,
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: and they they basically convinced me, like, don't start a
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: new company. Let's not competitors, Let's do this together. And
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: it ended up being like a great choice. So I
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: came in and the three of us together, So come on,
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: here's here's what happened. Really, here's what happened. Really, we
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: were you know, I want yeah, no, no. I walked
- 1:09:45Speaker 7: in and and the feat and it was more like,
- 1:09:48Speaker 7: oh my god, this is real, like like we we
- 1:09:52Speaker 7: got to turn this in, we got to turn this
- 1:09:53Speaker 7: into something, and and they were doing great. I mean,
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: they really were really impressed. But like, it's a long
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: way to earning a living starting you know, pre revenue.
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: So you know, the you know, we we did it.
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: You know, over the course of seven years, we turned
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: it into a really meaningful mainstream global toy company. And
- 1:10:18Speaker 7: we did we dabbled in WWE's you know, my favorite brand, my.
- 1:10:22Speaker 6: Fans of the show. Now, I've recently become super obsessed
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: with baseball cards.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Yes, I was with my buddy buying some boxes the
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: other day and we paid it literally was split in
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: the middle of this place sports cards, and the whole
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: other side was Pokemon.
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: My buddies like nice, why does he have all that?
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Like what I go, dude, Pokemon is one of the.
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: Number one brands in the world, and I know that
- 1:10:40Speaker 6: because of Jeremy.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: So in so in two thousand and sixteen, we met
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: with Pokemon and they were looking for a new master toy,
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: and uh, even though we were small and really not
- 1:10:56Speaker 7: necessarily their first choice, we were able to communicate why
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: successfully we would be a great partner, and they ended
- 1:11:05Speaker 7: up investing in our company. And uh it turned out
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: to be phenomenal because Pokemon Go hit at that time.
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: And so if you can imagine like what that did
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: was in the meantime, you may hear footsteps and that's
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: a giant dog walking in there.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: That's the dog with Tory Wilson, right, Yeah, the motivation
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: the repaint for the fife.
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: So yeah, and then and then recently in October of
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: twenty nineteen, we announced uh that Jazzuars uh purchased Wicked
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: Cool Toys And so now I'm a partner Jazzuars, which
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: you know is one of the most phenomenal toy companies ever. Really,
- 1:11:49Speaker 7: I mean, if you think about the roster of total brands,
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: now we have Fortnite, Roadblocks, Pokemon, Cabbage Patch Kids, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: et cetera.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Underneath the jazzwuare umbrella or is it is it all jazzwear?
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: It's all it's all jazzuaar so with you.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, So we were talking about this in the car.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm not exactly sure how it went.
- 1:12:10Speaker 7: Yeah yeah no, So so essentially listen, we're we're you know,
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: it's exciting because it's a very similar culture and a
- 1:12:17Speaker 7: very similar approach when you when when you are a
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: toy company that's competing against Mattel and has Bros and
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: the big guys out there, the most obvious place to
- 1:12:29Speaker 7: look for a brand like a Disney or a Nickelodeon
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: or something to that effect is not necessarily where you're
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: going to be competing favorably early on. So if you're
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: a startup company and you're like, let's let's go try
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: to get the next big Pixar movie, I mean that's
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: probably not where you should look. Where you should where
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: you should you should really try to become an expert
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: into what's going to happen next and which is not easy,
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: and there's a lot of failure that comes to that.
- 1:12:55Speaker 7: But we were very impressed with U with Uh Judd
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: and Laura's a bird Ski who are the owners of
- 1:13:01Speaker 7: who are the partners? Are partners at jazz Wears? Because
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: they look I mean Minecraft and then Roadblocks and then
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: Fortnite and Target.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: I mean really my targets all that stuff, and I'm like,
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: where's the wrestling and can It's like two bags.
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: It took. It took a tremendous, a tremendous amount of
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: foresight two to do that. I'm literally watching my dog
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: eat your elbow, which is fine. He loves you.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: So what what's next?
- 1:13:29Speaker 7: Uh?
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Can you give us a little a sample of what's
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: coming in.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: Big beautiful home?
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: Wednesday television?
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: So Mattlock Mattlocks today. He's so good, that guy. He
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: solves all the problems in the world. He's amazing.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: Listen.
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: I think New York to way Fair is going to
- 1:13:47Speaker 7: be interesting. We we we've got a few things that
- 1:13:50Speaker 7: we're announcing there. We're doing some cool stuff in the
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: preschool space. I think that's what you're talking about. We're
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: doing some cool things and and maybe we'll check it
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: out there. Oh yeah, the same you wear a suit.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: I'm trying to convince Brian that we go in suits
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: business tie.
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: I became a professional wrestler, so I don't have to
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: dress up.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: You know, it's funny for the day in my life,
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: the one day I do it every year is whole
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: fame and that's it. I don't want to be wearing a.
- 1:14:12Speaker 7: Suit and do you wear a tie to the whole?
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: I despise it. I hate it.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to reteach myself. I put a time
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: because I'm like, I can't even remember how to do it.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: I love wearing suits. I'm like, I sit in the mirror, like,
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: oh man, it's been so long.
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: Yeah, but you guys see that. The irony is you
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: guys look great in suits, and then the average guy
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: tries to put in a suit and we look like
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: we look like hell and so. But you're the guys
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: that don't want to wear a suit.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: I've been staring at this custom JP over here.
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: They'll go to Hong Kong forty dollars, they'll build it
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: to you or whatever your body is.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: So if you were to have a big announcemer toy
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: there and can fans expect you to be the face
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: of a brand once again and be the guy that, yeah,
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: they'll get their answers from and things like that.
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: I think I think if we were to ever do
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: anything specific in the wrestling genre again, that I would
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: be entirely excited to be part of that. And uh, while,
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: while you know, while I may not be individually managing
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: any particular brand, because we've got to manage an overall company,
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: like I would spend it higher than no. No, no, no,
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: it's just you know what it is. It's just we No,
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: it's just at some point, you know, you you have
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: to decide, you know what what it is that you're doing.
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: And you know, for me deciding to go from being
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: a an executive and a toy company where I had
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: a lot of influence to an entrepreneur that had none.
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: This is the benefit of that on the on the flip.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Side of it, in the American dream.
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: Yeah, my dream. Yeah, man, Well, you know there's more
- 1:15:45Speaker 7: than more than Merrier, man, there's definitely a room out there.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: So, I mean, before we go, we wanted to give
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: you a little gift. We we bought so many figures
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: that you have helped literally create so we created a
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: little something, very very limited edition. Not technically it's the
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: employee totally.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess it's a little triples.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: The Major podcast figures the triples here, so technically is
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: the employee that is awesome. That's it right there.
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: Who are these guys well to attractive?
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: I heard the bouty from Long Island, New York have
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: some nice beers's names of the packs.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: They don't know their.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Names the Major Recipe Podcast. Maybe a cousin of mine,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: maybe because Brian's.
- 1:16:28Speaker 6: Not sure these are great.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: But those are the that's the first set. We figured
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: nobody better than have one of these than you, so.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Thank you so much. Really is my gift. He's just
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: trying to see if you'll trade for the Hogan America.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: I do have. I do have a blank check in
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: my pocket.
- 1:16:47Speaker 7: Here it is. I'll let you. I'll let you breathe
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: on it. I'll let you.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: I wish there was a cave, a real bank check,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: just a case.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: You never know. I never know. I think Jeremy's really
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: strapped for cash right now.
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: Yeah, where the basement, one of the windows is pool.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: You can see the water pool.
- 1:17:13Speaker 5: Well, have you?
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: I guess I said this is a collective.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: What happened to mister America?
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: No?
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: What throughout? Have you collected stuff? Have you kept stuff?
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, you're collecting. I know you're a big card guy.
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: Yeah, some mildew cards. You know about that?
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I screwed?
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: No, can I tell you?
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: So?
- 1:17:31Speaker 7: I feel like I helped influence you a little bit
- 1:17:33Speaker 7: and then you you went right down the wrong path,
- 1:17:38Speaker 7: like I was like, is Charlie Brown in the football bro?
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: I don't know what happened, but I'm as well those
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: cards of the trash.
- 1:17:44Speaker 7: Oh and you you can't recover.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: No, because I did. In the PayPal basin it's called
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: friends and family where screw Yeah? No no protection.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: So all right, So here's my here's my between between
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: us three and whoever's listening, which is probably thousands and
- 1:17:59Speaker 7: thousands of other Broski's. I think the wrestling card business
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: is so under estimated in terms of valuations. But if
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: you're going to collect collect high grade material.
- 1:18:15Speaker 6: Or such a panastics.
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: Or either high grade that's already previously graded or by
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: unopened packs of older material, I really think, and I
- 1:18:29Speaker 7: gotta tell.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: You, dabbling and certified autos of like friends or people
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: that I really care about, you know, let me give
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: you the recurt hending that I think is cool from
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: like WSW.
- 1:18:37Speaker 7: Let me give you an example, all right, and so
- 1:18:39Speaker 7: I'm going to go back to Pokemon for a moment.
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: So the most valuable Pokemon card is a PSA ten
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: Pikachu Illustrator card, which was essentially nineteen ninety eight. It
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: was like early on, it was like the beta version.
- 1:18:53Speaker 7: And there's only I don't remember, maybe only one PSA
- 1:18:58Speaker 7: ten that have been graded. There's been a few nines, okay,
- 1:19:02Speaker 7: and so and so, yeah, bubbly listen, dude, I'm a pro.
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: I'm not burfing on a mic. No. But but essentially
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: about ten years ago, this card, this PSA ten, was
- 1:19:18Speaker 7: sold for about twenty grand, twenty grand ish, and then
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: it sold again about I don't remember five years ago,
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: for about one hundred and fifty and today that card
- 1:19:30Speaker 7: is worth a million, well over a million. So it
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: went from twenty grand to a million in ten years
- 1:19:36Speaker 7: fifty times return. And I've seen that before in other cards.
- 1:19:40Speaker 7: I saw it with basketball cards back in the in
- 1:19:43Speaker 7: the eighties. It just they blew up. They went from
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: nothing to something. And I believe that that's going to
- 1:19:49Speaker 7: happen with wrestling. So if I would give anybody a
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: tip right now, it would be like vintage and a
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: high grade product.
- 1:19:58Speaker 6: What's your holy grail of your wrestling card collection?
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: You know, I'm more I talk a good game, but
- 1:20:06Speaker 7: I try. I mean I tried.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: I got that.
- 1:20:07Speaker 7: I got the highest graded Hulk Hogan nineteen eighty two
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: Wrestling All Star card. It was nine and a half bgs.
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: BGS is one of the major grading Beckett grading service
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: versus P s A, and I paid I think twenty
- 1:20:22Speaker 7: eight hundred dollars for it. But when the card came
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: it was clearly it was an obvious flaw on the card.
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: And these grading services almost never get it wrong though,
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: So I don't Shenanigan's what's something weird reading.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: For the figures like AFA and stuff like that.
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: You know, I've always thought grading is is really terrific.
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: To what extent is a FA still in existence?
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: So see like, for instance, right now, there's a I
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: don't know how long ago they did it, but there's
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: a fake Hasbro Moon Belly Kamala that's been graded, which isous.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: Which takes the and it's fake went right out of
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: the sales and things.
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: And this is a real thing right in.
- 1:21:01Speaker 7: Ouch yeah wow, And you guys know it's fair. How
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: can you identify that it's fake?
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: So it's very visibly fake too.
- 1:21:10Speaker 7: Oh my god, the.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Texture of the moon and the point of the moon
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah.
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: But well, so good. Look, I think I think that
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: if you look at graded materials, there's no doubt in
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: my mind that it's a way too. It's a way
- 1:21:28Speaker 7: to break up the valuation and really identify the holy
- 1:21:32Speaker 7: grail of the holy grail. And like I was talking
- 1:21:36Speaker 7: to you guys before about the nineteen fifty two Mickey
- 1:21:39Speaker 7: Mantle Tops Rookie card, there's three PSA tens and again
- 1:21:44Speaker 7: the three PSA tens, I think they one turned over
- 1:21:47Speaker 7: about fifteen years ago for about one hundred fifty ten
- 1:21:49Speaker 7: hundred thousand dollars. Today that card's worth probably twelve million dollars,
- 1:21:52Speaker 7: no joke, no joke, sixty times return on a two
- 1:21:56Speaker 7: hundred thousand dollars base. So with all of that said,
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: what I'm saying to you guys is keep your eyes
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: open for this because I really think that over the
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: course of time, No I know, I know, I know,
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: because it's you know what it is. It's real investment.
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: It's real diversified investment type stuff. It's like, it's the
- 1:22:15Speaker 7: stuff that you can be like.
- 1:22:16Speaker 6: But what I've been loving wife, Yeah kind of.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: No one says she loves stuff, doesn't love any of this,
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: but likes the real estate of it.
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: Collecting your card is not taking up last space.
- 1:22:27Speaker 7: Oh yeah, no, you know what, my wife, You're so right.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: It's not like a giant, life size Han Solo statue
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: in the doorway when you walk into your home.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: It's not a statue is actually from whatever. Really, I
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: stole it from both with that there.
- 1:22:40Speaker 7: You godd No, so Brend my wife who met briefly,
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: who seems entirely disinterested in what's going on down here toys, Yeah,
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: she just you know, she's happy with the house.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: She might want you to sell that, mister America.
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: No, I know, yeah, no, she uh so. Basically when
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: we started uh dating twenty years ago, she was she
- 1:23:04Speaker 7: was like, I was like, you know, I collect things.
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: She goes, great, you can collect anything you can put
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: in that drawer. Yeah, And that was so she said,
- 1:23:12Speaker 7: you can collect anything you can put in that drawer.
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: And I was like, I was like, it's still worth it. Whatever,
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: I'm never gonna girl that's good looking again?
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Is that?
- 1:23:23Speaker 7: I was like fine? But but yeah, so but you
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: know now I think things are a little bit different,
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: like there's more space to collect and put things.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but you bring back towards the rest of this base.
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: Yeah, we're bringing back.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:23:40Speaker 7: Nextly, look we we should do we got to do
- 1:23:42Speaker 7: this again. We have to talk about like face flip
- 1:23:44Speaker 7: flipping fighters and get really into this.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: Is more of a general one and then get the
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: history out. No, it's we'll bury.
- 1:23:51Speaker 7: The next one was there was there any questions that
- 1:23:55Speaker 7: people may have put out there?
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: They didn't put like a heads up they were doing this.
- 1:23:59Speaker 7: Okay, oh yeah, I saw, I saw, I saw I
- 1:24:05Speaker 7: see my eyes my eyes are when did you do this?
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: I don't have much service out here at the bat
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Cave or in the Batcave.
- 1:24:11Speaker 7: Hold, I'll give everybody my my WiFi passwords.
- 1:24:15Speaker 6: Uh, that's worrying, Roskie.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: My absolute favorite part of the ww Champions of collection
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: are these magazines. The content makes it a great read
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: and it's very well done.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Yeah, there's even an article about me being the Internet
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: Champion so make sure you pick up issue twenty five
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: and the buy three get one free deal. Don't forget
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: the promo code is Major twenty at checkout. All Right,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: So we got a couple of fan questions, A lot
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: of them we answered organically in the episode, so I'll
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: just stick around. Dave West said if he could add
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: one more figure to the Classic Superstars line, who would
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: it be?
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: Was there like a white whale that it just didn't
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: work out for you guys?
- 1:24:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I would have. I would have. I mean, if
- 1:25:02Speaker 7: there was a way to do Owen Hart, Yeah, that
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: would have been the one. I mean obviously I talked
- 1:25:09Speaker 7: to uh, you know, his widow several times and she
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: was a lovely person to talk to, but she wasn't
- 1:25:16Speaker 7: up for it. But you know, that would have been great.
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: Absolutely, I have to say that. Or Mancho Man, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: with all the characters like in the Boat and especially
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: what since what Motel's done, They've done every ounce of
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: Machu Man you can think of. Yeah, but there's so
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: many classic persons that not have Randy Savage rough.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: But then again, you guys have made some guys, like
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: we said, have never had figures before or since. My
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: brother love.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: You know, also how many Landy Pool figures were destroyed
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: to make Macho Man.
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: Yeah exactly.
- 1:25:48Speaker 6: It looks at.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Joe I Ed says, backstore and Hogan America or Mister
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: America not being released. Can we talk about that?
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you just left the company, right, Yeah?
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: Well yeah, I think actually it was a bit of
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: a surprise for me, tell you the truth. I mean,
- 1:26:07Speaker 7: like I really thought that we were going to about that, yeah,
- 1:26:10Speaker 7: because we were doing some Hogan's yeah and uh yeah,
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: but they let me keep the one, so that was cool.
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: In that same rain, what uh did that that guyan
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: leave the company or you guys told not to make
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: him with one leg?
- 1:26:25Speaker 7: Or I think that I think that he did leave
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: the company.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Yeah, like we don't want this one legged?
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: No, No, there was not, it was no. They they
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: were like I said, man, they were willing to do
- 1:26:38Speaker 7: Ultimate Warrior and Wave one like there was never like
- 1:26:41Speaker 7: if anything, they're they're very inclusive for sure. I think
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: that the whole issue was above my pay grade. It
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: had something to do with him leaving.
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I think he left, so I just don't check
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: it out. I remember that was one that was supposed
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: to be on line.
- 1:26:56Speaker 7: Up is he still active?
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: Yes, everyone a while showing jerseys.
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: That's impressive, really impressive.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: That's a good question from Joe Karfley. Was there any
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: thought after doing the retro l j N figures of
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: doing Hasbro's and did the retro l j N figures
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: sell well?
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: Classic?
- 1:27:14Speaker 6: For me?
- 1:27:15Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, the thing that we the thing that
- 1:27:19Speaker 7: we did wrong with the with the Classic with the
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: l Jans is that we tried to fit them in
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: the Classic Superstars packaging. Packaging.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: Okay, that makes sense, that that makes sense that.
- 1:27:28Speaker 7: That didn't make Yeah, and so, but the reason why
- 1:27:31Speaker 7: we did that is because getting an extra peg at
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: retail for l JNS just to do l JNS it
- 1:27:36Speaker 7: wouldn't have been wouldn't have been a successful strategy. So
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: by including the l Jans and the Classic Superstars segment
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: and doing the boxes blue, I still think it was
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: kind of cool. Yeah, I still think what we didn't
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: what we didn't do.
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: Look, how much more would you love it if they
- 1:27:52Speaker 6: were soft rubber bag?
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: Way way more or way more?
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: They looked great.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: This kind of off topic. We didn't talk about this. So
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: I been opening a lot of the Class Superstars. Do
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: you know why A lot of them are super duper
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: like sticky and almost like melting, like a lot of
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: like the jackets, like a jacket.
- 1:28:11Speaker 6: Really, and it's like there's some kind of like film.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: Which we we don't know what that is. Is it
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: like because we kept in the package for so long?
- 1:28:17Speaker 6: Is because someone write in and explain it?
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: But it was like so many big words we couldn't.
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: I mean, the thing is, you don't know, you don't
- 1:28:24Speaker 7: know what environment some of those things have been in,
- 1:28:27Speaker 7: like they if they were in like a storage shed
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: that got to one hundred and twenty degrees A lot
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: of we I mean that sometimes heat, I mean heat
- 1:28:35Speaker 7: can really change the chemistry.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: Let's see here where Salvator Joseph says, where's the ruless
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: aggression hubtude prototype.
- 1:28:45Speaker 7: I'll show it. I've got it here. No, I don't
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: that one.
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: Got to like where it was on the back of
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: the box where you're like, oh, where's those.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: Some Mark Jeremy Bidower said, is it true that he
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: is a Nija level karate baster?
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: Yeah, that was me. Yes, it's true. In fact, I'm
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: barely able to.
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: Walk, okay. Chris Pelly says, was there an attempt to
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: scale the figures truer to height that didn't work out,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: or was it just a financial decision to make everyone
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: the same mind?
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: You know what it was Honestly, it was my It
- 1:29:24Speaker 7: was my being green, Like I think, I'll tell you
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: the truth. There was not as much complaining about it
- 1:29:31Speaker 7: from the collectors at the time that you might think.
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: There was some There.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: Was only a few figures.
- 1:29:37Speaker 7: Yes, yes, you know, but I like, like, I was
- 1:29:41Speaker 7: super open to suggestion and I didn't There wasn't a
- 1:29:45Speaker 7: ton of there. I mean, every once in a while
- 1:29:48Speaker 7: you'd hear someone say something, but it wasn't so overwhelming
- 1:29:51Speaker 7: to think, you know. When Mattel came in and did
- 1:29:53Speaker 7: it to scale, I was like, oh that's really cool.
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: Yeah, well, like I think it's kind of the long
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: lines when you said before, nobody had done it previously,
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: right right.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: Right, So you know, but we move we moved the
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: bar forward, absolutely no doubt about it.
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: And that and that's you know, it was time to
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: it was time to move the bar forward again.
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: It's so I keep saying that I keep opening these figures,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: but I do so anyone who's in a suit like
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: Bobby heenan uh, you know who else. Paul Bear is
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: so big, but in the package there so it looks
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: like he's the real size and open up like.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, my brother loves a giant one.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: Benji Montoya says, have you tried blue Choo?
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: Have I What?
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: Have you tried Blue Choo?
- 1:30:40Speaker 7: Who hasn't?
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: I'll send you a little look up with And then
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Brett McGrath said, we'll end it with this. I love
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: to understand the dynamics of rosters selection for series one
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: of the line. This is just like a hype.
- 1:30:52Speaker 7: Yeah, great, great, I love that question. So it's it's
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: all economics, it's all supply a man, it's all about
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: making sure that you have a breath of characters and longevity.
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: And so for me, what I do is I look
- 1:31:07Speaker 7: and say, you know, who's got the most heat, who's
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: got the most airtime, who's got the most awareness, who's
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: sort of in the middle of the pack, and then
- 1:31:15Speaker 7: who's part of the roster that maybe doesn't get the
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: amount of heat or airtime. They're all relevant. And so
- 1:31:22Speaker 7: in the world of wrestling, in the world of entertainment,
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: how do you make sure that you basically embrace the
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: collector who values all of these guys without putting yourself
- 1:31:36Speaker 7: in a situation where you've got like a bunch of
- 1:31:38Speaker 7: guys on shelf and so Padwarmer. So the way I
- 1:31:41Speaker 7: would do it is, I would say I would just
- 1:31:44Speaker 7: basically I would basically break it up ABC. I'd say
- 1:31:47Speaker 7: the A guys have the most airtime, and people go
- 1:31:49Speaker 7: back and forth. They can come a's and b's and
- 1:31:51Speaker 7: see whatever they float up and down. You never know.
- 1:31:55Speaker 7: And I think if you had an assortment of six,
- 1:31:57Speaker 7: we'd have like three a's, we'd have two b's, and
- 1:32:02Speaker 7: we'd have two c's, Okay, and so that's seven. So
- 1:32:08Speaker 7: the way it would work out is we would have
- 1:32:10Speaker 7: master carton A they would have the three a's and
- 1:32:12Speaker 7: two b's, and then one of the two SE's master
- 1:32:16Speaker 7: cart and B that have three a's, two bs, and
- 1:32:18Speaker 7: the other of the two seas.
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: Yes, let's end it with this. If two guys that
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: wrestled for fifteen years, one of the tag team times
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: that wrestle.
- 1:32:27Speaker 6: Maynia in their hometown, would you make an adrenaline two
- 1:32:29Speaker 6: pack of them?
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: Yes, thank you, thank you. And by the way, you
- 1:32:33Speaker 7: guys would be taller than the Giant.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: Legend Jeremy, thank you so much. And once we press
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: this out button, I will say you guys.
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: And that route wraps it up for another edition of
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: The Major Rewind. What a show, What a what a
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: journey it's been, And it's just it's you know, it's
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: like smash Mouth one said, the years start coming and
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: they don't stop coming. Something like that, And it's back
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: to the rules. The years starting, The years start coming
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: and they don't stop coming. The years they keep coming
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: and keep coming, and everything just keeps on coming and
